and they'd been on my watch list. I'd missed them, and they kept getting relisted. Asking too much. Asking too much. Asking too much. I didn't think they were asking too much, but I kept missing it. And then when they listed it the third time,

and I knew I wanted these chairs, I did an offer. You know you can make offers on Trade Me sometimes? Oh, yeah, yeah. missing it and then when they listed it the third time and i knew i wanted these chairs i didn't offer you know you can make offers on trade me sometimes oh yeah yeah i made an offer declined oh ouch i made a higher offer declined i made a third and final offer declined and i the third offer i made was higher than the starting bid so i was was like, well, fuck you. I'm just going to do the starting bid. And I won it for the starting bid. Oh, suck it. How much did that cost them? They lost by denying my thing.

A hundred bucks. Yes. How was that when you looked them in the eye? Were they just like, damn it, here's the one I lost to. Got a bargain on my hands. Yeah. Yeah. But then, so they were two big armchairs and i only

had the hatchback yeah because aaron's away with the ute so i was like i reckon i would just like ram them in get them in there and i got there and it was like a 30 minute drive from my house and i picked them up and they're way too big so i got one in the back and i was like god i'm gonna go all the way back to my house then all the way back in and then all the way back out. And then I realised I was five minutes from Fletcher's house and I formulated a genius plan. Pick this up, put it in the back of my car, back out, say to her, I'll be back shortly for the second one,

on the blower to Fletch, hon, are you home? Hon, yes, I am. And then I gave you a voice note saying, I need to ditch a vintage chair at your house. His main concern was... Well, do you need to be spending money on a vintage chair? No, that wasn't. That was my first question. It was, oh yes, it was how much do you need these?

And two, the aesthetic hon. It's not going to go with the grey and white millennial aesthetic. It doesn't go with my apartment. This chair. Doesn't it? No. No, it's like... Are these the chairs I saw? Yeah, yeah, yeah. And you said why the fuck do you want those i did yeah i wanted them

and i got but she's she's not she's not remembered i even said that she certainly sounds like she will forget that yeah and the moment you come over to my house and enjoy sitting in them i'll be like huh that's why the fuck i want i don't know if vaughn will be in a cup chair at your house willie yeah fuck it he wishes wait if vaughn's in the cup chair i'm fucking your wife yeah got it okay so i was just trying to work out where i am so and then i and i turn up to flip he said message me when you're close and i was like hon i'm downstairs i was like jesus give me i just turn up in the middle of town with his chair yeah give you no time move it up to your house in the middle of town with this chair. Yeah. Give you no time. Move it up to your house. In the lift we go with this big chair.

Shove it down the hallway. Try not to ding the walls. Dinged a little bit. Hit the doorway a little bit. Dinged a little bit. Just a little bit. Dinged a little bit of the door. We put it down.

And then I realize, and Vaughn, you'll fucking know this. I've brought it into the Terry den of Major Murray. Scratch attack. Scratch attack. So I'm like, look, if you're going to leave, and you're about to come and pick it up, this chair. Freshly reupholstered. Yes.

I said, look, if you want to leave it here, it's at your own risk. And I did drape a towel over the arms and the chair. And Major Murray didn't see that as a deterrent. He seen it as an invitation. And he sat on that chair all day yesterday. Really? That's weird. He loves that, eh?

He loves the chair. You give them something for them and they don't want it. But if you get something that's not for them, they'll be like, I like that. And they'll send you so many photos. Do you know what I think is that Major Murray just has a different aesthetic to you. You've gone nice, cool, white, grey, black.

That's it. That's your apartment. Sleek lines. I brought in a vintage wooden blue navy blue chair he loves it and he's into it

I think he's got a yeah he was a kooky aesthetic every moment you see I sent you like five photos of him

just in the chair asleep and then there was a moment got up for a piss back to the chair yeah there was a moment

where I was in the bathroom and I heard him clawing and I yelled and ran out and he was clawing the chair but the towel which I put over the chair so I

did look, I didn't see any visible marks but it's basically straight after the show we get over, we go and pick that up so that I'm not stressed about that your cat is a beautiful little shit but I'm taking his new throne, I'm taking it to my house I was going to say when are you picking this chair up? immediately as soon as we stop talking now
