We drove past it the other day I was like there it is It kind of feels like it feels like it's famous now Oh really? Because you know we hear so many stories about Look look look at get a photo outside of it

Like the Friends building When I was driving past the other day A woman spat at the car Was spitting at the cars that drove past No that's the window washer That's it I know but no one was stopping for her to scroll it off So that's how she gets it started

The old spit and polish book Oh gosh There's a lot of character But one thing about apartment living Is fire alarms Are the worst part about it Oh, yeah, I hate that. There's about 1,000 people who live in my building,

and if someone burns something, all 1,000 of us got to go downstairs and evacuate. And I live quite far up. I don't want to say the number, but, you know. I think you were going to say, I don't want to sound too posh, and I actually live on the upper levels. No, no, I think the top, top levels are like one bedroom,

and I think they get bigger as you go down. That's kind of the vibe I get, but I don't really know. I stay on my floor. Stay. I stay on my floor. Yeah. I know my place. I stay in my lane and I stay on my floor.

If there's a fire alarm, I've got to go down a lot of stairs. Yeah, but cardio. Yes. Yeah. Yeah, it's, you know, it's so fun. And when it's done, you go back up. Anyway, I was home and had come home from work, so it was about midday-ish. So you would think people would not be making fires.

Yeah. And as soon as I got home, I just... Making fires? Yeah. As soon as I got home, took off my makeup, got in my pajamas. I was actually Snapchating Carwin, talking to her about... about some silliness. Some girly things.

Evacuate the building. Evacuate the building. And it talks to you. And it is so loud and it's through the entire apartment. There's a speaker in every single room. So you can't even hide from it. Yeah. And I was like, oh, like I simply don't want to.

I have to put on like real clothes now. I have to put on a bra. Like, ugh. But I was reading a lovely book. Okay. I'm in my reading era. I've been learning from Carwin Reads, you know. At Carwin Reads on Instagram.

Exactly. I take her recommendations. and so I was like, you know what, instead of just scrolling on my phone for the inevitable two hours I have to be evacuated. It's not two hours. It's like 20 minutes.

No, no, no. It took 30 minutes for the fire people to come. Downing up the road. I know. It took 30 minutes. Also, they probably know that your building's just like, oh, someone's burnt the toast again. They're probably like, oh God, if they evacuated,

maybe we'll just let the building go down. Way less trouble. So I grabbed my book and I was like, I'm going to head on down. And the signal over my door, I was like, oh, it's a real fire this time. Like, I could smell it, and it was that plastic fire. When the New World went down, it was that kind of smell. So I was like, oh, it's an actual fire.

Cool, I'll actually leave. I don't know how you just described New World like it was a ship that caught fire at sea. Ah, when the New World went down. When HMS hit the rocks. And burst into flames, and down it went. Remember the plasticy smell? It was a sad day. But no, so I evacuate and I head down with my little book,

and I sit there and start reading. because I was like, this is so good for my mindfulness. And as soon as I open my book, it was absolute filth. It was the smuttyest smut scene of my book. And I don't know why I finished reading at that point. I don't know how to say that, but like, I open it and there it is, just like... Yeah.

Sometimes I do this and then I have an audio book, I'll pull into work as they're getting to it. And I'm like, shit, I guess when I get back into my car, it's going to be... I do this too. And then I forget that, like, I'm driving Fletch somewhere. or something and he gets in and it's like ugh shit and you're like oh my god oh yeah I'm like what are you listening to? I know but luckily this is like a book

like paper book so I'm sitting there as opposed to what one that's printed out on 10 no I mean listening book carved onto a tablet I mean as opposed to listening books I mean I was reading it yeah audio books but yeah okay so I was reading and as the fire police well the fireman fire police

Fire brigade come up I'm like reading something and it was very you know the opposite of like doing a speech at school that was written down you know how there was other kinds of speeches Improvised No I was trying to be coy about saying oral

Oh okay I got that I got that You should have said you know there's different types of tests Okay yeah well There's practical there's written and there's It was a very descriptive scene of that Okay for like On the podcast you can just be like

Wimming. He's not wrong. He's not wrong. He's not wrong. Year of the ass. But yeah, so I was saying, yeah. It's actually the year of the rat hailing, but okay, sure. You've got your Chinese zodiacs mixed up.

I've been living like it's the year of the ass. Yeah. The donkey, of course. Yeah. So I like was trying to skim through it, but also not trying to lose the plot, you know. Like, I don't want to just skip the whole scene. Oh, no. same time your audio book, your audio, no, sorry, your actual book, paper book, is getting

quite horny, the fireman turn up. The fireman turn up. Oh, my God. Oh, I mean, why am I saying, oh no? Fantastic. Well, I know, and so I'm sitting there, and you know when you feel like everyone can see what you're doing, but, like, obviously no one knew what was in my book, except the cover is very obviously, like a gilly, smutty book.

But no one knows the exact scene you're reading right now. And they were sitting there, and all these kids start running around being like, Hi, save our building, like, being annoying kids. And I was like, stop it, this is my moment. Like, there's, like, stop it. Yeah. You're all screwed when they invent those mind reader machines. Lucky them.

I'll read it to them, you know? Yeah, totally. I mean, they would have enjoyed it. It was beautiful literature. Also, if we're putting a ranking together of people on the show who are most screwed when they invent mind reading things, I think you're actually, you're rich of you. I think it's rich of you to assume anybody other than you who's going to be completely far.

I think we're all screwed. I think we're all screwed. Absolutely. You'll never see your hair from us again Yeah, but long story short Fire was put out I was back in the apartment after two hours And I finished my book

Oh good Were they hot? Were there any hot firemen? There was a lot of them There was about 15 of them in the end I didn't stare at them too much Because I took a photo and sent to you guys Obviously Yeah we appreciate that thank you
