Have a seen, beloved.
Thank you, guys.
All right. Hmm. All right, beloved. I want to welcome you.
your 2018-19 church today. How you doing?
How you doing?
Amen.
Old school church, you stay glad to be in the number.
Say he didn't have to let me live.
God, I just thank you for common grace today to be able to have the activity of our limbs.
To be breathing.
I actually had our aunt.
was just on a respirator last week. Sometimes we take breath for granted. Thank God she's recovering.
Amen. Amen. So to welcome our online community of digital disciples family. We love you. We love you.
Some no doubt are watching. Some maybe even in the building.
Um, hey family. How you doing? How you doing? Um, we get visits from you guys probably every week. I just want to say, hey, we thank you. We love you. Thanks for joining us. Um, I want to welcome the unbeliever again.
Right. Right. Right. We believe here that you can belong before you believe. That means, all right, man. Maybe I got invited by a friend. Maybe. Maybe. Maybe. Maybe. Maybe. Maybe. Maybe. Maybe.
Maybe I just ran by a TikTok, whatever.
We're making a lot of fuss.
About what was it was 28, 19 and about.
Maybe you crept in.
Maybe you walked in boldly.
Welcome.
Welcome, wherever you are.
Welcome if you're watching via screen.
Right?
It's our hopes that you would hear something that you would be called by God himself
and something would prick your heart and you would use the faith that he has given you
to make your way into the kingdom.
Maybe be a brother and sister.
Amen.
All right.
And at this time, I usually honor my pastor.
I'm going to do it slightly differently.
Go ahead and throw this pickup for me.
Our pastor and our leading lady who's with us today.
They, uh, I think this pick, it's South Africa, correct?
Right.
They were, we really are trying to push this thing until all have heard.
Just not a slogan.
Different continents, right?
And, um, I was scrolling and I happened to catch this.
So, so me and my wife, we just passed 10 years November 7th, right?
All right. Thank you. Thank you. But back here, I, if I'm not mistaken, over 20 years, Mary?
21 years. Thank you.
For those that are single, you may not know. For those that are married, you do know.
For those that have married and been divorced, you know as well. That cost you something.
you don't get there 21 years looking at each other smiling hand in hand on another continent preaching the gospel not seeking glory of yourself without a cost that costs you something
it's easy to get up here and people do it all over the country and they fake for two hours on stage and off stage that cost you something that cost you
you something lead a revival that's expanded lead your family four children lead
yourself and be married that cost something so for that I want to honor them
all right all right before we jump into the word i just want to we want to be we want to be the
hands and feet of jesus right so if you've been paying attention to the news right uh you
you you are probably aware that due to the government shutdown and although there may have been
like a last minute change right there are people that may go without food right let's not get like
hyper religious here food matters you got food we got food and we don't want to fast because
we want the food that's there okay so at the end of the experience right we have our vision
cast is going to come up and just show you some ways that we can be the hands and feet of
Jesus to serve our local community how you can how you can tap in and be able to help those
that may be dealing with food shortages in this season okay beloved all right cool
All right, family, so as a church where I continue
to walk through the book of Matthew
in a series we titled Cross 2 Commission
and I have the honor and privilege of preaching
this sermon to you that I've titled
The New Covenant
The New Covenant
God have your way in this sermon, oh God.
Use your words of your man's servant.
Use your Holy Scriptures to empower
and give revelation.
And the name of Jesus, I pray.
Amen.
All right, family.
So, it's amazing how when you're called of God, he can take you through things and you'll be able to use it in ways that you did not think.
Right.
So I felt like the Lord called me away from my last job back in 2023.
He let me know actually in about August, September, October timeframe of 22.
that my season there was up.
And let me tell you something.
I won't go into specifics, but I was making good money.
Don't get hyper-religious spiritual on me.
You want good money right now.
Don't you?
Okay.
I didn't say over God, but if you had the choice to be broke and have good money,
you're going to choose good money, right?
Okay.
Well, make sure I was in the right building.
Okay?
All right.
But he was letting me know this time here,
was coming to an end.
And I'm saying, well, Lord, just, okay, let me get something going, right?
At this time, I just had my twins.
They're still in formula and diapers.
Okay?
But the Holy Spirit was persistent.
Your time here is up.
So, so that I believe that he used what was going on
in the company to start pushing me out
because I was dragging my feet
and was distracted
much like my son that I was talking about
and let's keep it above
I was scared
I'm gonna talk like we family
I was scared
elder to church 2019 church
middle of revival all that good stuff
scared
preaching scared
Praying. Scared. Son of God. Scared. Believe in the gospel. Scared.
My life is home with the babies. We got four at this time. It's on my back.
So I'm saying, all right, God, let me get some stuff moving. Let me get some stuff moving, right?
Stuff happened, trying. It's not working.
it's not working
trying some more stuff
not working
had a stash
stash dwindling
day by day
much faster than I thought it would
ran into a business partner
thought we had like we got good values
said his believer
and I'm like I see the promise right so so much like I did
my last company. I'm like, I could do this here, man, and I dove all in. I'm like, I think
this is it. I'm like, okay, okay, okay, I think this is it, man. But at the time, he actually
can't, he can't afford to pay me, right? I have a level of expertise. I've had corporate
background. I have had like entrepreneurial, entrepreneurial experience, right? So the salary,
he ain't making it, man. So I said, hey, do this, right? I said, how about we do this? How about
I work for equity in the company? Equity. That means ownership.
right so we agreed on 40% right so once everything is divided all the bills are paid he gets 60%
I get 40% that was the agreement right so I dive in I'm like oh yeah I'll tell him I'm like y'all
think this is good jump in jump in stuff start to go left all of a sudden like a couple
different times the stuff happened had a death in his family he would get quiet on me I'd be like hey
bro. Like, I just want to make sure we're good.
Soon he would come around when he's want to talk again.
Yeah, man, everything is good, man. Everything is good.
You know, I've got stuff going on. Everything is good. Everything is all right.
Slight tweak. Okay.
Happen again. That's the same face I had. Hey, man.
Everything all right? Everything all right, man. I'm still working. I'm bringing in my contacts.
Hold deal. Hold deal. Hold deal. Go quiet again.
hey man everything all right has some stuff going on in life i understand that but quiet on me
it's happened like three times slight tweak happened the last time
you don't have equity in this company anymore i've worked close to a year
No payment.
No payment is coming.
So when we talk about agreements,
and I didn't notice at the time,
so be careful who you actually get in relationship with, right?
Even on the business side.
I always talk about the relationship,
but even on the business side.
I didn't know this,
but business partnerships actually worse than marriage,
they break up to the tune of 70%.
I wish I would have pondered that before I put my trust.
So what I'm getting that is,
is when you're going into relationship, when you're going into contract, when you're going into
covet, what is two things that you really need to be aware of. One is the integrity of the
one that you're making the covenant with. Some of you may be saying, man, couldn't you sue?
Couldn't you do something? Yeah. But you've got to go through all of that. And nothing is
guaranteed. And if they want to try to get around it, they can try. That's why they have business
lawyers. And we're used to contracts, right? Let's bring it into the biblical perspective, right? Right,
right, right. We deal with covenants with God, which is so difficult for us to even even conceptualize
in the West, right? We think contract. Really, we're thinking, man,
feel like paying it, I don't have to pay.
If I don't feel like doing it, it ain't got you, what are you going to do?
You're going to sue me?
I'm broke anyway.
I don't care.
And what that done, that has permeated throughout the fabric of our society.
Now, nobody trusts nobody because at any given time, you can switch up on me.
Not so with God.
And just so you know when it comes to biblical, biblical context, a covenant was so binding.
We talk about this in marriage when I married people.
A covenant was so binding that when they actually took covenant with someone that were actually not even viewed in a sense as two separate people and entities that were viewed as one.
That's one.
With that being the backdrop, let's jump into the scriptures.
And this is the thing, beloved, we're going to be led by the Holy Ghost this morning.
Right?
So really, my cortex is only four verses.
Right?
That's my core text.
But I have a lot of ground to cover to give you the context that I feel like you need to even respect these four verses like you should.
Okay?
All right.
So look at your name and say, we're going to get in that Bible today.
Okay, look at the other one.
I never do this. Look at the other one. I don't care if they listen or not.
We're going to get in that Bible today.
All right, beloved, give me Matthew 26.
We're going to go 26 through 29.
Turn them pages. Open that app.
Let's go.
All right, for the sake of time, it says, now as they were eating,
Jesus took the bread.
And after blessing it, broke it and gave it to the disciples and said, take, eat.
This is my body.
Verse 27, it says, and he took a cup.
And when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, saying, drink of it.
All of you.
Say all of you.
Verse 28, it says, for this is.
is my blood of the covenant, say covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.
Take that down, all right?
So a couple things we're going to break out, right?
So I read this here, and because we're in the Western context, we really don't know about
covenant and really don't know that the context of when this was even first said, it's hard for you to really respect this, right?
And because we take communion in church, we just kind of, you know, you know, pass the wafers, pass the Jews.
And we, you know, we may do some reflection of the heart and then we just get to it.
And I think we're missing something when it comes to communion for the Lord's suffer.
All right.
So let's go to the other instance in John 6th where Jesus talks about this.
John 6.
We're going to start in verse 35.
All right.
So just, you know, context here.
Jesus had just fed a multitude with loaves and fish.
Okay?
So they had just seen the miraculous.
power of God, right? He had a huge following. That's why you can't get caught up on the
following. I'm jumping ahead a little bit. There's a huge following with him, but Jesus knows and
not everybody actually believes. Okay? First 35, ESV said, Jesus said, Jesus said to them,
I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me
shall never thirst.
But I said to you that you have seen me
and yet you do not believe. So Jesus says,
I am the bread of life.
Me.
Right? But he said, you have seen me.
You have encountered me. You are around me.
But I know some of you do not believe.
You can call yourself a disciple all you want.
Jesus is letting you know. Just because you call yourself a disciple
does not mean you believe.
You can even follow and have, have, have, have, have, have, have, have, have, have, have, have, have, have, have, have, have, have, have, have, does not mean you are a disciple.
Then 37, he starts to talk about himself.
All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me, I will never cast out.
this is a dependable God
it should give you confidence
all who comes to me the father sent me
do you know that you didn't start this thing with salvation
do you know that anybody that really comes to know God is drawn by him
right you think you just woke up and was smart enough to follow him
no we had darkened hearts
all of us were led astray
we need the power of the Holy Spirit
to even spark that in our soul
and start to follow the true living God
verse 38
now let me go there I want to stop here
he said all those that come to me
I will never cast out
he'll never cast us away
that's the whole reason that he came
can I tell you something
I'm a I'm a homebody when I say home body
I'm an extreme home body
like my wife has to get
has to work very hard to get me out the house
I'm gonna keep it a buck when it's time
go somewhere like the morning of I got a little bit of attitude my wife would say big I would say
I got a little bit of attitude you know why you know why I'm with who I want to be with at the
house I'm not looking to go to an event to have some fun I got fun at the house
I got my wife at the house.
I got all four of my children at the house.
You really don't have much from me out there.
If I come out to meet you, I really love you.
I like you.
Be resolved.
I'm not bored at home trying to find something to do.
I am fulfilled right at the house.
Jesus is fulfilled right amongst his people.
to him you are the main event
he came from heaven
he abandoned heaven
to be with you so you'll never be abandoned again
I'm gonna say that again
he abandoned heaven to be with you
so you will never be abandoned
abandon again.
Christ continues to talk here.
He said, for I have come down from heaven.
Not to do my own will, but the will of him who sent me.
And he tells us what the will is, 39.
It says, and this is the will of him who sent me that I should lose
nothing of all that he has given me, but raise it up on the last day. He doubles down.
This is the will. I'm not even doing my own will. I'm doing the will of the father who sent me
that anybody who comes to me, I will keep them all and raise them up on the last day.
The dependable God.
The faithful one.
The one that is mighty to save.
Verse 40.
For this is the will of my father.
He continues to explain that everyone who looks on the sun and believes, they believes.
believes in him should have eternal life
and again he says
I will raise him up on the last day
our salvation is secure in Jesus
and I say this
because I know there are some you can raise him if you want to
is he really going to come and get me
is he really going to follow through in his word
let's keep it about because I can't see him
I can't touch up and try to hold him to task
and many of our lives reflect that we won't go all in on him
because we really don't believe his word
we really don't believe that he is who he says he is
and I'm not here to beat you over the head.
I just want to expose your heart
because really behind that is why you won't go all in.
This is why some of us just keep one foot in the world
because we really feel like the world is more stable than Christ.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
So we married to Christ, but we're married to Christ,
but we keep a tender profile going.
Just to see what's out there.
Just to see, you know,
knowing that they will abuse us.
Here he is, have given all that he had,
came from heaven, gave us life.
Rose on the third day, went back to the Father.
He said to us,
Listen, I'm going to prepare a place for you.
If it were not true, I would not have told you.
But even in our humanity, some of a struggle to really, I'm talking about really believe it.
I'm talking about situate your whole life around the fact.
that the Holy Spirit has been sent here for us to walk this thing out and our Savior is coming back to get us.
Does your life look like that?
Where have we secretly hid a lack of trust in God and His Word in our heart?
heart and act like it was okay right not trying to beat you that i told you i felt the calling of the
holy spirit i was scared y'all you know what because i see four children and a wife and i look at
the bank account and it's going down i'm not trying to judge you i've been there what i'm saying is
he's faithful and can i tell you something
Even when you encounter some Judas-esque movements, it never stops the will of God in your life.
If I could go a little further, the Judas-esque or the Judas in your life can redirect you where you may have been distracted to get you where he wants you to be,
a.k.a. on full-time staff at 2019 Church as of June 2nd preaching right now.
I'll keep it a buck.
Got a family.
I was going to make good money.
My season for that, in that capacity, was over.
In the meantime, the church is exploding.
At that time, neither one of the elders were all staff.
And I'll tell you, family, it was the scariest, almost two years of my life.
I was getting kicked in the chest by fear.
Every day, I feel like, I was battling the pressure.
I feel like I was getting jumped with fear.
Just, it's not going to work out.
ultimately the fear was you can't depend on him
those words are just words on the page it's not backed by an eternal god
they just up there singing songs because they're happy it's not because the
Holy Spirit is inspiring it's not the enemy can creep in
here and make a home and we let them stay there?
So the Jews, verse 41, so the Jews grumbled about him because he said, I am the bread
that came down from heaven.
They said, is this not Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know?
How does he know?
How does he now say, I have come down from heaven?
Let's stop, right?
So now, now, now after he had fed of the thousands of people,
and he said, I am the bread of life, now they're questioning him.
I know none of us go through that.
Haven't you seen God work of the season in your life?
When you know there was no way you could make it out and then like, we just got,
hold on, clap yet, right?
And then we take a hop right here and then forget and get amnesia.
I mean, you know, he moved.
He moved. God, God, please, please, please.
He show up. We get right here and be like, oh man, God, is you ever going to?
That's real. Your knees are still bruised from praying and getting an answer and we get amnesia on God.
So they try to dismiss him.
Let me stop right here.
Hey, listen, some of you are actually making strides in God.
I mean, you're really trying to read and pray.
You're trying to really walk this thing out.
And one of the biggest things you deal with, especially young in the faith, and even a seasoned saint, the people that we love and care about around us don't affirm us.
So as a result of that, we start denying God.
we start pushing our scripture under the bed
we don't want to wear anything that's Christ like right
when we go out we don't want to pray in front of them
when we eat we start hiding him
especially if some life hit us
don't worry about the affirmation
they didn't call you.
They are neither the author nor the finisher of your faith.
Verse 43 said Jesus answered them.
Do not grumble amongst yourselves.
No one can come.
to me again unless the father who sent me draws him and I will raise them up on the last day
verse 45 it is written in the prophets and they will all be taught by God everyone who has heard
and learned from the father comes to me you cannot try to get to the father outside of
Jesus 46 not that anyone has seen the father except he who is from God he speaking of
himself here. He has seen the father. Christ is speaking of himself. 47, truly, truly I say to you,
whoever believes has eternal life. Again, Christ affirms himself. He says, I am the bread of life.
And then I think he hit him real here. Verse 40, he says, your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness
and they died. Verse 50. It says, this is the bread that comes.
down from heaven so that one may eat of it and not die. He's 51. He said, I am the living bread
that comes down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. And the bread that I
will give for life of the world is my flesh. He said, I am the bread of life. If you eat of me,
you will never die again. I'm not waiting for another man to affirm me. I come from the father.
I am sent from him. Eat of me. And you will have eternal life.
He said, this is the bread of life.
I believe by emotion to himself.
This is the bread of life.
That's not a what?
Me, I am him.
I am the one that has been prophesied about.
I am the one coming to die for the sins of the world.
I am your salvation.
I am your hope.
I am the level of your soul.
I am your salvation.
I am your hope.
Your words don't outweigh the words on my father.
I know I left heaven.
I'm asking you about it.
I am the Messiah.
I am the Son of God.
You guys can't even see God.
You would die.
I have seen the Father.
Verse 52.
The Jews then disputed amongst themselves, saying, how can this man give us flesh to eat?
So Jesus said to them, truly, truly.
he doubles down on this truly, you need to listen. Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you
eat the flesh of the son of man and drink his blood, you have no life in you.
Verse 54, whoever feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise
him up on the last day.
Let me get that to even amplified.
Verse 54, the one who eats my flesh and drinks my blood, the one who believes in me
and accepts me as Savior, has eternal life.
That is, now possesses it.
And I will raise him up from the.
the dead on the last day.
Verse 55.
He continues, for my flesh is true food.
I want the deep things of God.
He said, for my flesh is true food.
And my blood is true drink.
Again, he says, whoever feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I and him.
Get it to you in the amplified.
He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood, believes in me, accepts me as Savior, remains in me.
And I, in the same way, remain in him.
Right?
So I gave you a couple things to look out when you're making an agreement or a covenant.
One, the dependability of the one making the covenant with you, right?
Two, you need to know what is required of you and what you're going to get.
If you don't understand the covenant, you're not going to live up.
It's hard for you to really understand and live up to what your part of the covenant is because you have your part.
We just read what our part is, abide in him.
believe in him right that's why it's so big for us to come away from dead works we got to do this
we got to do that we got to do this we got to check this off the book we got to go back to the law
we got to do these things listen man we're not trying to pick on like a certain particular group
but that's why we stay away from the law the reality is they need to come away from the law
they'll never be able to fulfill it you'll never be able to live by the law right all of our
requirements is to really and truly believe in him abide in him believe in his word I like to amplify
it's just not a mental ascension right it's to really cleave to and trust in like think
about like going across like a bridge like you have like
a mountain you're like somewhere in Nepal or something it's like a mountain and there's like a river
and they're like rocks right and there's like usually in the movies it's some real old raggedy
bridge I don't understand why they don't do better bridges right but it's like a real it's like
rope that looks like it's it was made when Jesus was on the earth right and it has like planks right
that really could have been replaced and what you're going you're clinging to that bridge
you know you had no ability to fly you know that if that bridge fails you you will be destroyed
that's how we're supposed to cling to christ that's how our relation is to be to him so what he
says we cleave to like when it talks about marriage you will leave your mother and your father
and cleave to your wife that that that that oneness that that how many of y'all been in love
you've been to a point you ever tried to hug the person you're in love with you just feel like
you can't get close enough not after 50 years of marriage or whatever they get you back I'm talking
when you first meet them and they give you a hug and you just like nuzzle into them you would
smell what they smell like you're a hey oh my gosh I love you so much you make noise like um
I don't love you so much I miss you I miss you I miss you I'm
looking like a pump behind closed doors. I know it happened to guys too. I won't tell
nobody, right? But you just, you just, oh, my gosh. I mean, like my wife, they say,
listen, a country saying, you had your nose wide open. You ever heard that? You from the country?
That mean, you are fully in love. Right? Right? That's how we're supposed to be with Christ in
its words. Cleave and knuffled in and trying to get even closer, even though we're already one.
Verse 57
As the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, so whoever feeds on me, he also will live because of me.
verse 58 this is the bread that came down from heaven not like the bread the fathers ate and died
whoever feeds on this bread will live forever okay and I'm running out of time family but
you do you know that after he said this they grumbled and it says a large amount his
disciples left him like some of them's hard saying they were just like what you're talking about man
like I read I was doing research like you know drink blood that's against high dietary laws I ain't
doing that like ain't you Joseph's son like you're tripping he left what I love about security in
Christ so we can have the same security in him you know what he did maybe even as he saw some
of them leave they're still with that eyesight you know what he did he didn't buckle he turned to
and said, do y'all want to go to?
Right?
I want to say it was Peter.
He was like, where would we go, God?
Where would we go?
Christ?
He said, for you have the words of eternal life.
And I want to stamp this for you, beloved.
When you hit hard times, we can't pick a plan B.
Where else can you go?
Who else can you run to that has the words of eternal life?
I don't care what economic hardship comes.
I don't care how bad the divorce was.
I'm not trying to be insensitive.
You may have prayed and they still passed.
Maybe your child is estranged from you.
And you love them like no other, and you cry yourself to sleep at night.
How could they do that?
Maybe you're betrayed in business.
We don't leave the one who has words of eternal life.
Nobody else has that.
You don't give up the eternal for the temporary.
All right. Now, I want to give you that context, right?
Now I'm going to jump back into Matthew 26.
I'm going to read it again.
He says, now as they were eating, Jesus took the bread.
And after blessing it, he broke it and gave it to the disciples.
and said, take, eat, this is my body.
I wanted to give you that context because that was a hard saying.
We can't just roll up on that like, that's something we just do all the time.
No, Christ lost followers over that.
Verse 27, and he took a cup and he said, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them,
saying, drink of it, all of you.
And in verse 28, he says, for this is my blood of the covenant,
which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.
Right?
I want to talk about covenant there.
In many transcripts, and actually in other accounts here,
it says the new covenant.
Right?
The new covenant.
And we'll get into that.
but it said, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.
Let me give it to you the amplifying.
For this is my blood of the new and better covenant,
which ratifies the agreement and is being poured out for many
as the substitutionary atonement for the forgiveness of sins.
Stop.
so so largely the word atonement like y'all got substitute right so be able you had a substitute teacher
a teacher was there somebody else is there to take her place right but atonement is largely like a
a theological word right so it's it's it's broken now by something to act one meant right the one it actually
He actually made us one by his death on the cross.
He wiped the slate clean, and he made us one.
Think about that.
He justified the ungodly, you and me.
And so holy, and the blood was shed.
That's why we can't trample over the blood.
Now we have access, not just access to him, but now we are one with him.
Right?
And if you don't get that, man.
Actually, I'm from a country church named Washington, Washington Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Oslo County, Jacksonville, right?
They may not have had all the language, but they sung a song.
It went something like this.
I know it was blood.
I know it was blood.
I know it was the blood for me.
One day when I was lost.
Oh, y'all know it.
I know it was a blood for me.
Then they said, hey, they pierced them in its side.
They pierced them in its side.
They pierced them in its side for me.
One day when I was lost, Jesus died on the cross.
And I know it was a blood for me.
And I'm talking my old mothers, old dinkets.
They didn't try to make it sound cute either.
They were grunted out, right?
You know why?
They had a revelation of the blood.
The soul-saving blood.
The covenant-making blood.
The blood that was needed for access to him.
he substituted and died in our place we in real life deserved death hell and damnation to be banished away from his presence away from all holiness from all righteousness from all goodness from all blessing from him from all grace
And Jesus died on the cross to create a new covenant that we should have eternal life that starts when we come into a relationship with him and goes forever and ever and ever. You see why you need to feed on the words of Christ? Didn't that encourage your soul when I read that? It wasn't my words. I read the words of Christ.
You mean that Christ didn't even come on his own accord. He came because the Father sent him.
He said the will of the Father was that all those that come to him that he would never cast away.
and that even when I fall asleep, because we don't die, we fall asleep.
But he's going to raise me up on that day.
And I'm going to be with him forever.
That's the new covenant.
That's what you've been called to.
That's what he promised.
you, and Christ don't switch upon us.
And I'll go the last verse, Matthew 26, 29.
He said, I tell you, I will not drink again of this first.
of the vine until that day say that day when I drink it new say new with you say you in my father's kingdom
now this there is some theological debate on what he meant here okay everything I was talking about
before no theological debate that's the word right but when he says I will not
drink, and he was very specific here, I tell you, I will not drink again of this fruit of the vine,
speaking of wine, I will not do it again until that day when I will drink it new with you
in my father's kingdom. Okay? We're landing very hard right there. Now there are some that
believe that when he rose after he was killed on the third day and appeared to
to the disciples, they're saying it alluded to the fact that he drunk then, right?
But I did research.
It says, I want to say one or two places, definitely one, probably two, that it says that
Christ did eat to prove that it was really him.
But I see no record where actually said he drunk of the vine.
Okay?
I see no record of that.
Somebody can email me if they find it.
I do not see it.
which leads me to believe he's talking about the wedding supper of the Lamb.
So, beloved, I don't think we missed it.
And let's give it a buck, right?
And pastor does a great communion, right?
I've done a cup of myself, right?
And we talk about the blood, but I'm talking about we who believe in him.
We who are as disciples, the ones that will be raised on the last day.
There will be a time I believe where Christ holds the cup of.
and we take communion with him.
Communion with him.
Let me tell you something.
I'll keep it above.
My wife will tell you, right, I don't really drink.
Like, 950 times out of 960, I'm like,
nah, I don't really, I don't really,
the wine ain't my thing, right?
Not because I'm trying to be super holy.
I really don't like the way it tastes.
I don't, right?
But there will be one time.
There will at least be one time that I will partake.
If you're going to sip on something, let's sip on something with the Savior.
When we're in heaven and we have all been called, when we all get together to take communion to drink of the vine with the Savior.
That's why I lay in theology.
on that day in the kingdom he said new in the kingdom he had already said the kingdom of god
is at hand he said with you new in the kingdom on that day and i'm going to tell you something
listen to me y'all know me hear my heart i'm not trying to beat you if beat you over the head it's
If that doesn't stir up something in your soul, the thought of all of us being together
and sharing wine in heaven at the wedding feast of the Lamb, beloved, you're missing something.
You're missing something.
Something is off.
Either we don't believe or we're distracted.
Nothing on this temporal earth will be able to satisfy like being in full communion and presence on that day with our brothers and sisters, those that have gone on and fallen asleep before us and with the Savior.
Why? Because he made a new covenant with us. And he doubled and tripled down all.
that belong to me, I will never cast away. And they now have eternal life. And I will raise
them up on that day. By your heads, let me pray. Holy Father, help us. Help us.
help us depend on you help us believe your scriptures god help us have more confidence in your
scriptures god in your word because you are a covenant keeping god and you have made a covenant with us
and you will do your part god even help us believe on you and cleave to you and trust in you and love you
and devote ourselves to you and bow before you and honor you and serve you with everything that
we have.
In Jesus' name we pray.
Amen and amen.
I love you, beloved.
God bless.
