Welcome to week eight, amen, of the Kingdom Gems.
Hallelujah, hallelujah.
We are walking and journeying through Matthew, amen, the Sermon on the Mount.
God's word is powerful.
Matthew is getting our lives together, right?
Look.
And God is faithful.
His word is true.
It's been tried and it's been tested.
So we can rely on God's word, amen?
Amen. Amen. Amen.
I want to first give honor to the pastor, to the prophet of this house.
We have a great shepherd in this house.
Amen.
Come on, come on, come on, come on.
Come on. If you visited some
other houses, you would stand to your feet and give honor. The Bible says in Jeremiah that God
would give us a shepherd that is after his own heart. Come on, come on. And he would teach us. He would teach us. Do we not get taught? Amen. It's a meat in this house.
We ain't drinking no milk up in here. Glory to God. No, no, no, no, no, no. Come on and stand
back up. Let's give honor to this beautiful, my beautiful sister. Come on, come on, come on, come on. Come on. She is
worthy of honor. She holds up the arms of the shepherd. Come
on, come on. A woman of virtue. God said her price is far above
rubies and strength and honor are Mrs. Lena's portion. Amen.
So, we honor you woman of God. We love you in this house.
Amen.
Now y'all can sit down.
Amen.
Amen to all of our online family.
Bless you.
Thank you for supporting this ministry and the vision that God has given and birthed in this house.
Amen.
Amen.
God has given pastor a great mandate.
A great assignment.
And we are a part of that as servant leaders.
Amen.
We are a part of that.
We are putting our hands to the plow.
And we will not look back.
Amen.
Amen. amen so today family
I have to continue in Matthew 7 we're going to be speaking about something that can be very
controversial and you know everybody got something to say
but by the grace of God that will bring balance to this thing in context amen
turn with me to Matthew 7 and the title of this message is don't judge me look don't judge me
don't judge me. Don't judge me.
Amen.
Matthew 7, verse 1.
Get it on the screen, guys.
Amen. Amen.
Judge not that you be not judged.
You can continue.
For with the judgment you pronounce, you will be judged.
And with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye?
Or how can you say to your brother, let me take the speck out of your eye when there is a log in your eye.
You hypocrite.
First take the log out of your own eye.
And then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye.
Do not give dogs what is holy.
And do not throw your pearls before pigs lest they trample them underfoot and turn to attack you.
Amen.
This is a hard saying.
And again, in our culture now, many will say, don't judge me.
But let me bring some balance to this text amen the bible says in proverbs 11 1 we finna we finna anchor some things in proverbs 11 1 the bible says
a false balance is an abomination to the Lord and a just weight is his delight.
What is God saying?
Everything that we approach according to his word will require balance.
We don't need to be too far to the left.
We don't need to be too far to the right.
But dad said he delights in a just way amen and so let's begin
to look at this this text in a just righteous way amen john 7 24 it says and you can put it up on
on the screen judge not according to the appearance, but judge with what?
Righteous judgment.
Does that mean you don't judge?
No.
It means that you are using the scepter of righteousness to judge.
Amen?
Amen. So that's what it says, right? Judge not according to the appearance.
How many of us do that? How many of us do that? I see sister so-and-so. She thinks she all that.
How you think, how you know she thinks she all that? She might actually be dealing with some
self-esteem issues.
Okay?
That's why she do the makeup and do all of this stuff outwardly.
Because she dealing with some internal stuff.
But you judging her based on the outward.
So God says, do not judge according to the appearance.
We've seen this in scripture.
Samuel shows up to Jesse's house. He looking at all the fine brothers fine brothers yeah you look like a king oh yeah you dope you definitely look like a king
and God is saying Samuel that that ain't it
because the one that was out doing the things of God in the field he might have been dusty
he might have been dirty but guess what he
had the heart he had the heart right so he said don't judge according to the appearance but judge
with righteous judgment judge the word judge in the greek is krenos which means to decree it means to to discern rightfully
good and bad but then there's a contrast to that and this is where the culture gets it right
there's some condemnation so now when we hear judge i immediately think you're going to condemn me. And God is saying, I want you to anchor it in righteous judgment.
Amen?
So when we look at the word judge, we judge from a place of wisdom.
We judge from a place of righteousness.
We judge from a place of sound discernment
we we judge from a place of love and compassion
amen but when you look at it on the contrary when you look at it from a place of
condemning and that's a root word of what?
Condemnation.
In Romans 8 and 1, it tells us,
therefore there is no more, what?
Condemnation to them that are in Christ Jesus,
who walk not after the flesh,
but walk after the spirit.
Right?
So there is no condemning. There is no putting judgment upon upon somebody you don't have a heaven or hell put nobody in neither and so when we look at proverbs 11 and 1 right about balance
what brings the balance of judgment is not only in discernment and wisdom and righteousness but guess what it is the Word of God this is what anchors this
what keeps the balance together right the Word of God and the grace because
when you're dealing in righteous judgment you're gonna always do it from
the Word of God not by your opinion, not by your experience, but you're going to do it based on the word of God.
But then if we leave it just on that, now we look like a Pharisee and a Sadducee.
We walking around thinking we know everything.
But this is where grace balanced that thing.
So as I'm speaking to you, I got to reflect on my own stuff.
I got to reflect on my own heart.
Right?
And so God is saying to us, family, that as we begin to judge we're identifying some things because God is called
you know there's a hierarchy in the kingdom of God and God gives us five-fold ministry ascension
gifts and that's in a seat in Ephesians 4 and 11 so God has given these hierarchy in ministry.
Apostles, prophets, evangelists.
We got our pastors and our teachers.
And their responsibility, right, is to perfect the saints.
The Bible says it's for the working of the ministry.
Let me help you know how to put your hand to the plow.
And it's edifying the body of Christ.
And while you're edifying, you're training, you're equipping, you're rebuking.
But you're doing it in love.
Right? So let's look back at our text. Pull up my text. Matthew, I'm sorry, Matthew 7. And let's go to verse 3.
Why do we see the speck that is in your brother's eye,
but you do not notice the log, the plank, the big when you turn you but yet we see the speck which is a nuisance to your brother but yet but yet you got this big pole hanging out your eye.
And his is a nuisance, but guess what?
Yours is a hindrance.
So yours is very visible, unsightly. And you know the thing is, that's why we have to check our hearts. A lot of times, guys,
it's not the point of, I don't want to deal with my stuff, right? It's not that sometimes. Some
people just have hardened hearts. We get that, right? But sometimes it's not even that. A lot
of times you have this pull out your eye because you don't even know it's there.
Because a lot of times we go through traumas in life and pain and disappointments that create these poles out of our eye.
And the reason you can't identify and recognize them is because it has now taken on an identity.
So now I associate my pole with who I am.
Well, you know, girl, I'm just stubborn.
Girl, you know, girl, I ain't got no patience. Girl, I'm just rebelling.
Look, God know my heart.
And I know according to my Bibles, look, he said rebellion is like witchcraft.
So you might as well be standing before a Buddha idol or something.
Stubbornness.
We hear that in culture all the time and we just, oh, he just stubborn.
Stubbornness is likened unto idolatry.
But again, we have taken on that identity, so now we call it our own.
We have now come in agreement with that thing.
So now when somebody says that you got a plane, girl, I ain't got no plane.
What you talking about? No, you got one because we've identified with it. And we judge, we have to begin to see it from the lens of righteousness.
See it from the lens of his grace. and I think about the account. This had to have been the most recorded, talked about
trial in biblical history. Do anybody remember the story when Solomon,
okay, amen. I'll go over here. Did anybody remember the story about Solomon, right?
And he had to do a trial, And this story is very fascinating to me.
So there were two women, two prostitutes actually. They lived in a house together.
Both of them were pregnant. One woman had a baby one day and the next one had it on the third day.
So they're at home with these newborn babies, right?
And they're laying in the bed.
One of the women accidentally laid on her baby.
You imagine, just roll over on your baby.
Like, what in the world?
You know, suffocated the baby.
She wakes up in the middle of the night,
realize what she did.
She looks at the baby, and she gets up in the middle of the night, realize what she did. She looks at the baby and she gets up in the middle of the night and takes this baby and lays it on the breast of the other woman and removes the living baby.
Scandalous.
Scandalous.
So in the morning, the lady wakes up.
You imagine waking up to something dead on you she wakes up and she
sees this dead baby on her not only is the baby dead but then you know women who don't have kids
look they a little interesting when they first come out, right? They got some features.
But you know your baby features.
So she looks down.
Not only is the baby dead, but you look like, wait a minute.
Bro, I did not birth this one right here.
And so she goes to the woman. And I could imagine, this is just the narrative I just
picked up, because look, y'all don't know me, but I'm kind of from the streets, I, you know,
bless God, Lord, don't polish me a little bit, but I'm from the street, we would have been fighting,
girl, you got my baby, then you gave me your dead baby, we finna go we throw some hands
and so they're they're a good one they end up taking it to the king
so this trial begins so the lady who baby was really dead she starts it all because you know
that's when you guilty because you want to talk first right well my lord this is what happened so she goes through her whole spill of
what happened so watch this Solomon in his wisdom this is how you able to judge righteously he calls one of his armor bearers over bring me your sword
and he's about to he said I'm gonna slice them in two you have a half you have a half
so the woman whose baby it was no no no no no no lord no, no, no, Lord. No, no, no. It's okay. Let her have the baby.
The other one stands there.
Yeah, because you ain't going to have them and I ain't going to have them.
It exposes the heart.
Righteous judgment exposes the heart. Amen. And so we know who he gave the judgment to, right?
But this is a great illustration of when you're tapped into the wisdom of God.
We can't do anything by flesh.
Right?
And let me give it some context.
There is an audience in which you judge.
1 Corinthians 5 and 12.
You can put that on the screen.
For what business is it of mine to judge outsiders and non-believers?
Do you not judge those who are within the church to protect the church? As the situation requires.
This brings balance to the audience in which you judge.
God will judge those that are without. Why? Because family, when we said I do to Christ,
we come into a new kingdom. We were not born into this kingdom, Right? So there are mindsets.
There are personality traits.
There are characteristics that we learn from the other kingdom.
And kingdom is simply a territory in which a king rules.
So in this kingdom, what it looks like, there is a constitution.
Just like there is a governmental constitution.
That constitution is the word of God.
There is a governor that's been appointed.
That's Holy Ghost.
Holy Ghost's responsibility is. That's Holy Ghost. Holy Ghost
responsibility is to teach you
the Constitution.
Because you can live
a peaceable life in this kingdom.
You know
the code of conduct in
this kingdom.
Right? So God
is saying, why would you judge them
when they have not been, they haven't even been confronted with this constitution?
I might have heard it from my mama.
I might have heard it from my grandma.
But I don't have an association with it.
I can't identify with it.
So God said, those are mine.
And that's what we do we go outside of the word of God and we start judging these folks that's why they don't want to come in the house because you're going against
what God has told you to do pray pray for them that's what you do
you father you said no man comes unto you lest you draw. Father draw
them by your power. That's our responsibility as intercessors. Yes we
got an intercessory team but when you said I do you are a prayer warrior now. And so now we understand that there is an audience.
Do not be judging these folks that are without.
God will deal with them.
Amen. God will deal with them Amen Hallelujah
Let's pull up our text
Matthew 7 and 4
Or how can you say to your brother Let me take the speck out of your eye when there is a log in your own eye?
And again, you know, when your vision is obstructed and you can't see clear, you begin to speak from a place that is broken.
You speak from a place of experience
and we call it Bible
so we want God to validate our experiences
we want God to validate our stuff and make it Bible
next verse
you hypocrite you fraud you pretender you charlatan charlatan
you're a pretender you don't truly carry the burdens of the gospel.
You manufacture them.
Jesus.
There is a heart posture that God requires to carry the gospel.
Jesus.
It is a broken and a contrite heart and spirit
God is looking for our hearts family you hypocrites first take the log out of your own eye
then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye let's go to the next verse
do not give dogs what is holy and sacred. Do not throw your pearls before pigs. I like the
King James Version. A lot of us are familiar with that. Don't cast your pearls before swine,
lest they trample them underfoot and turn to attack you. Now, you got to remember the time in which this was said in Jesus' culture.
Like, he did not, he wasn't comparing them dogs in terms of, like, three weeks ago, I lost my dog, Golden.
I was really sad about it, bro.
I was in there crying like I lost my kid.
He's not talking from that perspective. Lovey-dovey, oh, Golden could come in the house,
I rub him, rub her, and her feet. No. In Jesus's culture at that time, dogs were looked upon,
and they were symbolized as something detestable, immoral, ignorant, right? And they would run in packs and they would attack
other lesser animals or weaker animals. So God is speaking from that perspective. And he said,
don't cast your pearls before a swine. We know in Levitical law that they were identified as
something that's unclean, right? Dogs are very predictable. Pigs are unpredictable. And see, think about it. You got a herd of pigs
and you're casting pearls in that pig pen. By nature, they eat any and everything.
They don't care what it is. And so you casting this pearl, this thing that can't be digested, it doesn't taste good.
So what it does is it angers them.
And so God is saying in this, and Jesus is saying in this text, don't give dogs something that is holy and sacred.
And he was speaking from a place of the Pharisees and the Sadducees.
And a lot of them, they were running packs and, you know,
and they would stand on the corners and they would try to be, you know,
act like they all that and whatever.
And God is saying, you know what?
You don't even value the thing that you carry. You don't even value the thing that you carry.
You don't, you no longer see my word as valuable. You no longer see it as something of great value, of high esteem.
It is an honor and a privilege to be able to carry God's word in your heart.
We don't even realize that.
Because again, we came from a different kingdom, right?
And that's why Romans 12 and 1, he tells us, come on, guys.
Don't be conformed to this world.
Don't be conformed to that way of thinking that we're in your old kingdom.
But be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind your mind has to be
recalibrated and when you begin to renew your mind which what you're doing is is is um
going back to a place in the garden of eden is going back to a place where you're literally
beginning to regain the mindset of when we lost it and was interrupted by sin.
So God is saying, I want you to no longer think that way.
I want to begin to transform and renew your mind according to my kingdom,
according to my way.
I need you to stop vexing my governor. I need you to stop grieving the Holy Spirit because he is set
in the kingdom to establish rule. And again, there is a conduct, a code of conduct. And so when we judge
from that place righteously,
the intent is
to perpetuate you to
conviction.
To condemn or
condemnation,
it brings about shame and guilt
and I don't want nobody to see me
because you don't make me feel so low.
But God's desire and his intent is to bring about conviction.
Because remember, his promise is not slack.
We've heard our grandmamas.
We don't heard our mama saying Jesus on the way back.
Okay, grandma.
All right.
So he ain't slack of his promise.
He coming.
His hand is at the door.
But with long suffering,
because he wants none to perish,
but all come to repentance, conviction,
because conviction will convert the soul.
Amen.
Hallelujah.
We're speaking from a place of kingdom.
Again, judgment, judging.
We govern, we rule.
Revelations 1 and 7 says, you know,
that we've been made kings and priests of the most high God.
So God has given us a new title.
We are kings.
Even as we, you know, we look at Solomon and all his glory and man, he was so wise.
Guess what?
God has raised us up to be kings.
We are able to decree.
That's another word for judge.
It's to decree.
That's kingdom language.
We decree in righteousness.
And it takes me to a story.
In Luke 7 and 36.
This is a very interesting text.
So Jesus meets Simon the Pharisee.
Simon invites Jesus into his home.
Jesus accepts the invitation.
The Bible records that Jesus is sitting at his table, reclining himself.
So that signifies to me he was a little comfortable.
So y'all ain't got to be all acting weird around unbelievers.
Jesus was chilling at the table.
I don't know if I need to be around.
How is the word going to be heard?
Like, I don't understand.
So he's reclining at this table, right?
And this woman walks in.
The Bible says that she was great in sin.
And she walks in with a heart that's prostrated.
And she must have, and I'm just saying this, maybe she heard this man of God.
She heard this man, this great teacher, this prophet.
But there's something different about him.
He doesn't look like the regular men of the law. So you imagine coming into an atmosphere where you know they're going to judge you. But I'm desperate. So
I push past the judgments. I come into the church and I sit down in the back.
And she walks behind Jesus' feet and she begins to weep.
This is the presence of the Spirit of God.
That's one of the first fruit that show up.
I know y'all don't see me.
Mass Gariby all down here.
So she weeps at the feet of Jesus.
And the Bible records that as she weeps, she begins to wipe his feet with her tears.
She began to kiss his feet as a sign of humility.
And she walked in with this oil of flax, a perfume.
And she begins to anoint his feet with the perfume.
So Simon, standing from afar, he's looking like like and he says to himself if this was a man of God if this was
a man or a prophet he would know who's touching him Jesus hearing his thoughts
you imagine somebody and then they start answering your thoughts you'll be like what the world
so Jesus says to Simon Simon let me tell you something
yes teacher
and you know Jesus he's so dope he don't he don. He don't go straight in righteous judgment, right?
There were two people
that owed money to a money lender,
and neither one of them had any money to repay the debt.
Right? And this moneylender forgave the debt. One owing
500 denarii. The other owing 50 denarii. So he turns to Simon and he says, Simon, who do you think loves the most?
Simon thought about it.
I suppose the one whose debt was greater.
And this is Jesus' answer.
You have judged correctly so again there is a judgment that comes from a place of wisdom
there is a judgment that comes from a place of discernment
there is an area where you have to be in the agape love of God
you know the greatest compliment I've ever received as it relates to
ministry? I have many come to me and say, Miss Tiana, I'm dealing with such and such and such
and such. And God said to me, go talk to Miss Tiana. You can trust her. And I've had that many
times where someone will say they had dreams
to come talk to me that got to be the greatest compliment of heaven
where you're able to see this person from the eyes of grace but speak from a place of wisdom
that is able to bring correction and rebuke in love. That's Holy Ghost.
That's Holy Ghost.
And again, the job of the governor is to teach us in maturation.
He begins to mature us.
That's why he said, be ye perfect even as your father in heaven is perfect.
Perfect doesn't mean you're not going to mess up because we all fall short.
But that word perfect means to mature.
Right? Come to a place of wholeness.
And so we all have areas where we're broken. We all have areas where, you know, we need God to
mend and shift and help us in certain things.
But again, we have to be yielded to the process, family.
Because God loves us.
And I also look and I think about a lot of times where,
don't judge me.
How you going to judge me?
And Paul says this very, he helps us with this.
In 1 Corinthians, and he said, do you not know that you judge angels?
Angels. Fallen angels. At first, I was like,
Lord, we're going to be judging Gabriel, Michael. Like, how that's going to work?
You know what? You know, Michael, you did show up, bro. When that car almost hit me, man,
you didn't show up at the right time. No, that's not it. I couldn't even stand near judging on Michael.
I'd be like, well, sir, well, I recorded on May 20th.
I'd be all nervous and stuff.
Uh-uh, no.
But Paul said, we'll be judging angels. And then he proceeds to say, where is the wisdom? He said, I speak
to you from a place of shame. He said, where are the wise men among you? You cannot even you can't even judge the things that pertain to this life
and God is appointing you to judge angels
so again family
when we judge from a place of righteousness when we judge from a place
and righteousness only means guys is
right standings with God it doesn't mean that we get it right all the time thank you for the gift
of repentance thank you for the gift of grace so let's bring some balance to this thing because
I hear the hearts of the people in here let Let's bring some balance to this. We're speaking from a place of the gift. And you've seen on the scripture where
you know, we judge righteously for the protection of the church. Every joint supplies.
We all have our responsibility in the body of Christ.
Amen.
And God is faithful.
And again, he has raised us up in a time such as this.
To be his ambassadors in his in his kingdom
our language should change the way we walk the way we carry ourselves
because we're not in the world but we are of the word i mean we are not in the world but we're up we're come on scholars amen amen and so even though we're in here
we're not of it we should not resemble the world there should always be a great distinction
amen Amen
That's what I have guys And let's go ahead and stand to our feet.
I want us to make a declaration before the Lord.
With your hands lifted high to heaven hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah
let's stir this atmosphere with faith hallelujah hallelujahelujah. Glory, glory, glory, glory, glory.
If you have a heavenly language, go ahead and tap in.
Glory, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah.
Father, we bless you and we glorify you for your word, God.
We thank you, Father God, that your word is true.
It's been tested in the fire, God.
We thank you, Father, that that your word is true. It's been tested in the fire, God. We thank you,
Father, that we can lean into your word even now, Father. You said your word is active and is alive
and is sharper than any two-edged sword, God. We pray even now that you go down into the dividing
asunder, God, of our soul and our spirit today, Father. We thank you even now, God, that you would touch the bone and the marrow,
God. Go down to our very nature, Father. Uproot everything that is unlike you, God. And you
declared in your word, Father, that you would give us a discernment, God, that would know the intent
of a heart, God. So we bless you today, Father. Hallelujah, hallelujah. We thank you, God, that you are giving us now
a sound discernment, sharp discernment in the name of Jesus. We will no longer judge, God,
from a place of appearance, a place of external, God, but we thank you that the eyes of our
understanding is being enlightened even this day, God, in the mighty name of Jesus. Oh, Father, I
thank you that you are going down into the uttermost parts, God, of your very servants, Father. Oh,
blessed be thy name, God. Uproot everything that is unlike you, God. Break open the seals of your
word, Father, that as your servants, God, begin to go before go before you god and open up your word spirit of the
living god meet them at that place in the mighty name of jesus oh god i bless you i honor you
hallelujah hallelujah so repeat after me father please forgive me if I have ever judged
anyone outside of your will outside of your word father I receive this day a high level of discernment.
I will speak from a place of righteousness for thy namesake.
We bless you and we honor you for the concrete of your word.
In Jesus' mighty name.
Amen, amen, amen.
