Starting point is 00:00:00 My kids are smarter than I was because right now, every team I cheer for is just loser mentality. Aggies, losers, Cowboys, losers. Man United, been losers for 15 years. Rangers, other than 23, losers. So my kid has decided to cheer for the Buffalo Bills, and I envy him. You guys, I came accessorized today to show emotional support. There's no emotional support for this. I'm disgusted with the Cowboys.
Starting point is 00:00:25 Emotional support for Texans Cowboys this weekend and the one collective win. that they have between the two of them. Josh over here can't pick up a ping pong ball. It's over. It's funny how when oxygen just leaves your body, how hard things can get in life. Poor Josh is just not a... Oh, no, that's my fault.
Starting point is 00:00:43 I made them laugh. You should see your brother with the chopsticks. Almost, hey, almost athletes. Welcome to Almost Athletes with Dude Perfect. Oh, Wave original. follow the show and all social media at almost athletes like and subscribe to us on youtube or listen and subscribe wherever you listen to your podcast we're your host i'm a little down sparky i can tell by the inflection or like i got to say dude they just is the worst sports weekend of my life
Starting point is 00:01:24 uh i was actually explaining to family like why i was so somber last night and it's sad that i let sport dictate my whole mood but yeah after that late window of the cowboy game all last night it wasn't just that sparky oh no it was i mean it was the rangers sure no showing all year it's the aggies looking like prosper high school could probably beat them 60 to zero yeah i would actually take that i mean it's it's just a brutal it's a nightmare and um it's kind of like what i said to the kiddos on tour when you lose. When we were to lose the four times we did on the squad games tour, I had to look in the crowd and I said, hey, listen, there's a dark side to sport. That's a real reality. And that's what we're living through, Gare, is that a lot of the time, sport hurts
Starting point is 00:02:09 you more than it helps you. And that's where I was this weekend. My kids are smarter than I was, because right now every team I have, I cheer for is just loser mentality. Let me ask you this, though. Would you rather pile it up like that and when it's, you know, roses and rainbows? No, because They're never going to get out of their loser mentality. They're losers forever. Roses and rainstorms and clouds forever. It's like Aggies, losers, cowboys, losers. Man United, been losers for 15 years.
Starting point is 00:02:37 Rangers, other than 23 losers. So my kid has decided to cheer for the Buffalo Bills, and I envy him because, boy, they're 3 and O and they're just, they're getting it done. They're getting it done. He's not even a cowboy fan. And I don't blame the kid. Why would you want to just? life of misery, man.
Starting point is 00:02:58 It's horrible. It is. You know what I did too? It's horrible. Cool transparency. I was so down. You also switched your leadership? Dude, I was broken.
Starting point is 00:03:06 So picture me at home. I've got my laptop on the Ranger game, must win, need the Astros to lose. So I have the Astros radio on while watching Red Zone in the Cowboys. By the way, let's just go next. The Astros who fired their GM and already told their head coach. You're not coming back can still beat and win the division this Texas Ranger team. It's a disaster, dude. It's a disaster.
Starting point is 00:03:32 My life's a disaster. It's a disaster. I think I'm going to start watching Kraft Channel or something. I don't know, something that you can't fail me on. Food network. I think my mom's been doing it right. She's been doing Food Network for 20 years now. We're switching almost athletes to almost food.
Starting point is 00:03:47 And we're just, yeah. And that's all we're doing, dude. And we're going to test, does this classify as food? Well, hear me out. I was so down in the dump. that I saw a commercial come on after our game in between the Cowboys finish and the start of football night in America. And it was an advertisement for McDonald's saying try our spicy nuts.
Starting point is 00:04:05 And you went, dude, I just had them this weekend. I had them yesterday. Sadly, the highlight of my weekend was that 20-packed. Are those brand new? I don't know, but they felt so good to the mouth. I had them last night on the, I landed from San Diego and had spicy nugs. I'm sweet and sour, the proper dipping sauce. I got honey mustard too, but the spicy plays back.
Starting point is 00:04:24 better with the tain. I did sweeten sour and a ranch. I thought ranch was pretty good. I got to try ranch. But anyhow, I'm like, hey, this 20 piece McNuggy, spicy is going to burn, you know, the bad taste of an elf. I'm glad we're that, dude, we're so synced up. We're eating spicy nuggets at the same time. And it worked. And it worked for about an hour. And then that temporary joy of the spicy nug wore off. Baltimore didn't win that game. That was a lack of just football knowledge for the cowboys to lose that game. Now, a little bit of job. A little bit of justice in there because that passenger interference call
Starting point is 00:04:57 was horrendous. It was horrendous and I'm a cowboy fan and that's like I mean what called pass interference on CD not on not on the Ravens dude. Yeah it's funny how sport will do that and kind of even itself out but I felt so it evened out for sure and got the field
Starting point is 00:05:13 goal and I was like this this deserves to go into overtime but then the way the Cowboys blundered that with Aubrey kicking it out of the end zone oh it was just everything and just was like yeah it was more mismanaged than my sleep schedule. And everyone's excited that the Brazil got the soccer kick from
Starting point is 00:05:29 the 80-yard line. And I don't care, Brazil. I don't care that you got to see a soccer kick go through a field goal. I know hearing producer Jared tell me as I walk into the office today, producer Jared's like, hey, but it was a fitting way to end it down in South America with a kick. And I was like, not now, not now. The only way that this weekend is salvageable, because we had this team called the commanders win a game. How did they win? I have no idea. We had the New York Giants win a game. Yeah, they played the bottom feeder titan, but they still won. I'm deadbeat this one thing. I need, I need like my inner circle. I know what to get you out of your deadbeat, dude. My support system needs to step up this week. I can't reach it, man, but dude, it's great outside. You need to read
Starting point is 00:06:13 match day mayhem. Oh, do it? It's our new book, Dude Perfect and Panda. Match day mayhem. It just came out. We don't lose in that one. I'll tell you that. I don't want to spoil it too much. much, but we're winners. We're winners. So if you want to be a winner, go get you, go be a reader. I'm looking for any win. Get your copy of the book. Book.dudpurect.com or pick one up on Amazon or wherever get your books.
Starting point is 00:06:37 I'm personally in Barnes & Noble Guy. Anyways, dude, enough of our miseries. Do I need a library card to take that one home with me tonight? I need a W. No, just take it. I'm going to read it. You get a fantasy win? No.
Starting point is 00:06:49 Oh, boy. But it makes sense. It makes sense. Just hit them with what's common. Coming up, dude. Just tell them it's got to be better than what we went through. Coming up on today's Epp, Tyler, in the Outdoor Boys, they're stopping by to take us behind the scenes of their wild spearfishing video. Jamie Erdahl is back to catch up on all things NFL week three,
Starting point is 00:07:06 and we're going to rank the season's best quarterbacks thus far. Plus, the MLB playoffs are here, and we have thoughts. But first, let's dive into some college football talk. Hey, you got your, you got a win. What are you talking about? UNT got a big win. I did. I didn't.
Starting point is 00:07:20 I mean, you all played. Don't get me wrong. Y'all played the middle school team out of Nevada, but it doesn't matter. It was a decent middle school team if you saw them on tape. No, you're exactly right. Y'all still got to win. We also played a middle school team out of Louisiana. They ended up beating us pretty good.
Starting point is 00:07:34 Dude, I hadn't even approached you yet. That was also because I like to save things for the pod, but also I was just scared to text the Aggies this weekend, man. I'm not. At the end of the day, I'm not sure we can beat Citadel. But if we can beat Citadel, we're looking at about a three and nine season. and do you what do you do you do you fire the whole coaching staff do you ride with them and just tell Marcel to go
Starting point is 00:07:59 take a hike kick rocks it's he has the complete yips dude he has the yips so you think it's just as much in the head between the eyes as it is it is I think it's a little bit too much for him to bear right now and I feel bad for him and that's a lot of pressure there's a lot of pressure it is a lot of pressure but I don't like the way he's he's handling his
Starting point is 00:08:21 field antics and I only have one off field instance that I he's not even he was actually on the field but it was after the game and it just looked like he was a little too happy had his arm around owens walking off like there's not a there's not a care in the world and it's like dude I need the towel over the head I need a little bit of sulking I need you to go to some soul searching a little bit sound like you wanted him to be in such a bad place he was in line at McDonald's for a 20 piece. Yeah. It should hurt a little more.
Starting point is 00:08:50 You should be seeking out the spicy McNuggets like I was. This team is not good. No, it's, you are what your record is. Zero heart. And that's a problem.
Starting point is 00:09:00 And that's a problem. And that honestly starts with coaching too. Like there's going to have to be some re-vamp there. Give me some sideline scuffles a little bit. Give me something. Act like you act like it matters. You just want to see it. It matters to them.
Starting point is 00:09:12 Have a little care. Yes, dude. You're getting paid to play this game. You are. At a prestigious program like Texas A&M. Anyway, it's enough about the AX. They're awful.
Starting point is 00:09:20 And I think everyone, they know it. And I'm getting hit up on just so many messages from everyone of just like. Oh, the Astro fans were coming out of the closet to throw me some DMs. But it's whatever. We can talk about Oregon for a second. Yeah, let's talk Oregon. I don't think we need to discuss the injury because I think it's been discussed enough from the coaches. It was a scary one.
Starting point is 00:09:38 There's no place for that in football. Let me ask you this, though. If I'm a quarterback coach teaching my kid to slide, I almost think it's more. dive? Yes. Yeah. Because what you're having is your, yes. They're not going to hit you diving.
Starting point is 00:09:52 You're doing the lean back method. And when you're late sliding and you take that hit, you know, the head snaps back. It was scary though. Definitely, I hate to see that. This was before the injury because last week, Dylan Riola came on and looked very competent. And then this week. Yeah. He played very good.
Starting point is 00:10:17 is there a quarterback? Like, regardless of the injury when Dante Moore comes back, do you have a quarterback controversy on your hand? Let's see what the next couple weeks. I mean, Oregon needed to beat this team after losing to Oklahoma State. Well, Raola, of course, had moments at a powerful school there in Nebraska. He had moments where he was good. He looks good, man. I think they're a team to watch out for.
Starting point is 00:10:39 Yeah, they had the tough taste that was the loss at Oklahoma State. Well, they looked bad at Boise. They had the Oklahoma State. You think it's coming together for? I'm just saying be on the lookout for because if they, I think they play Ohio State. You got a home date with Michigan later in the year. They've got, uh... They play Indiana?
Starting point is 00:10:57 Ohio State. They got Ohio State. Exactly right. In November, tough to win there. So, dude, if you take care of those games, they're going to be... Yeah, there's an avenue for the ducks to fly. 100% come wintertime. Texas.
Starting point is 00:11:09 Yeah. They stroll into Tennessee going to win. Like I said, I mean, their offense is struggling right now, but that defense looks. I think it's a tell-tale sign of a really. good football team when you only amass 262 total yards of offense and still find a way to win? Now, Texas's main thing, they got to buy this week.
Starting point is 00:11:25 I was just talking to a couple of Texas grabs that work for us. They got to buy this week and then their October is brutal. And they don't have, so if they get an injury, there's no buy to recover from that. Like, they're going to go through it, but they, because they
Starting point is 00:11:40 beat Tennessee, they beat Ohio State, they could slip up a couple times. I mean, they play Florida. They play LSU. They play a teams that could challenge them, but even if they lose both of those, they're still in. So it doesn't really matter. And there's beauty in finding ways to win because I don't think this Texas Longhorn football team has really put, they haven't put four quarters together yet. They're sloppy in the Ohio State game for the better part of three quarters and found
Starting point is 00:12:03 away. And that's what I'm saying. I think it's a telltale sign that it's obvious that Texas isn't playing their best football, but it's better to win ugly than lose pretty. And that's what they're doing. They're finding ways to win. You know, Florida got a big one to Ole Miss. Yeah, they did.
Starting point is 00:12:17 I don't want to get ahead of myself on this Florida team yet. I mean. The Gators. Yeah. I don't think LSU is very good. I think, well, I told you early in the year when Ole Miss gave up like the 38 bomb to Louisville. I knew one side of the ball they're lacking a little bit. So I don't think LSU is very good.
Starting point is 00:12:38 And yes, that means they beat my Aggies 356. That means my Aggies are that much worse. but I just don't know how good this Florida team is yet. Ole Miss still didn't have their start running back, and they were out Lacey. You're saying Jerry's still out on them. That's a good way to start. Yeah, they got a great offense.
Starting point is 00:12:58 But again, like, go put them up. Like, when they play Texas, that's what I really want to see. Like, can that offense perform versus a really good defense? I do like John Summerall, though. Oh, he's a – Because it seems like a great hireover from Tulane. He's got those boys ramped up. And I know for Gator fans, it's been a long time coming down there.
Starting point is 00:13:15 I know our boy Tim Tebow is smiling ear to year. Special, dude. Yeah, you got some special guys. Jordan Baugh or whatever. That dude is nasty. He's revamped that roster really nice. They move into the top 10 of Florida that is, I got to eat crow because of the actual upset of the week. Wake Forest, right as I talked about Louisville being an ACC dark horse, how much I loved them.
Starting point is 00:13:33 And they just no call no-showed against the Demon Deacons. 30 to 27, Louisville loses, which was a shocker for me. I thought the irony of the week, the ironic play. Yeah, the Iowa over Michigan was crazy. Number 17 Iowa over number 18 Michigan, 2019. On the game's final play, what a beautiful back shoulder ball. The Hawkeyes win just funny to me and the irony of sports, how they even themselves out. Of course, Michigan was the beneficiary of one extra second added to their win over Western Michigan.
Starting point is 00:14:04 Well, just funny that a couple weeks later on the game's final play, Iowa wins 2019. You know what else I just realized? Number 17, Iowa beat number 18, Michigan, 19 to 20. A little 17, 18, 19, 20. Talk about the stars aligning there. Congrats to the Hawkeyes up in Iowa. And the Mississippi State goes on the road. And weren't they like preseason rankings in the SEC?
Starting point is 00:14:27 Nobody was talking about Mississippi State. Yeah, near the bottom of the SEC. They'll finish top six this year. They're four and O. Strike up the Bulldogs. Big win over ranked Mizzou, 3124. Both those quarterbacks are really good. fun to watch. Simmons is quick lefty. And the Taylor kid, it looks poised, man. In two years. Can you imagine him in two years? I know. They've got something.
Starting point is 00:14:49 Camaro Taylor, the Bulldogs quarterback, those for 363 touchdowns. He's emerging as a high and he will be the highest paid college player to ever play the game next year. Because that number just keeps a bump in. I mean, I think it's going to be, I think he can get 30 million. Like legit. Like he can be like a low level NFL QB. guy. But AP poll is out. Who are your top three? I know mine. Mine's Georgia, Texas, Ohio State. If you're asking me just strictly from the eye test, I wouldn't put Texas number one, though I think they deserve to be number one, given the way they've conquered their schedule. The schedule, they deserve to be number one. But I don't, my eyes don't necessarily think they're the best team. Right now, man, what's happening in UGA.
Starting point is 00:15:34 They've got that thing dialed in. It's hard to imagine anybody beating them, especially. between the hedges. Notre Dame's kind of quietly marching along here. Yeah, no one's talking about it, but they don't play anybody. Exactly. So we don't really know what the Irish have. We'll see. Jury's still out on them. But you promise not to leave college football as a whole. That's my worry, because you got Jones, who's completely out. Oh, no. Do you like I'm done watching it? You're a lover of the game too much. My thing is like, I'm a college football fan through and through. You could watch any game, and it's just electric and fun. More storylines available.
Starting point is 00:16:08 do like when the Browns play the Buccaneers like there's not much rooting interest outside it's like why am I wasting my time watching this uh Garrett it wasn't just college football that let us down over the weekend it was also the MLB season yeah seasons's come to a close for the Texas Rangers um but not without a gift she built it sister brook it's ages six and up this took her about a month it's 600 it's so many pieces so many pieces says six and up and she said there's no way and I said there's definitely like a prodigy out there somewhere who could build it. But shout out to her. She gave it to me over the weekend because she knew I was.
Starting point is 00:16:45 Yeah, I mean, the only win for the Rangers this year, the Bobba Head Knights were pretty good. The Nolan High and Bloody Jersey one. Dude, perfect night went well too. But not a lot of good to talk about from the Rangers side. But we do need to talk baseball. But we're going to see the Astros get to another ALCS. I cannot believe it. I can't believe it.
Starting point is 00:17:05 I can't believe it. I can't believe it. existence. Hey, I'm preparing for the worst. The MLB playoffs are here, and we better enjoy them because we don't know how long baseball is going to be gone with the strike looming. But the bracket is set, and the games have started. Let's go through it by looking who could win, who should win, who will win, and who won't win. First, let's look at the matchups. Guardian and Rays get the buys in the American League. Guardians, I mean, one of the best stories in
Starting point is 00:17:29 baseball in Cleveland going on bottom payroll in baseball, find themselves in a vise situation. And they overtook it after kind of the last. month of the season. Then you got Dodgers and Brewers who get the buy in the NL and I'll still stand by it. The buy in baseball is not good. Advantageous. I think taking three to four random days off right here at the end of the season hurts you. Braves. If Braves can get through the Phillies, Braves has a very good shot to beat that Dodger team. Yeah, the N-O wild card. Just juicy is all get out. Juicy is all get out. Phillies at Braves, Cubs at Padres. And then in the American League, White Sox at Astros. And I don't like that just because the White Sox have the better
Starting point is 00:18:06 record. I hate that in sport. I think they should. I think letting the Astros in is the American League West champion alone is good enough. But the White Sox will travel to Houston. It's like, it's like NHL seeding. It just hurts me. And then Red Sox at Yankees, the highlight are seventh all-time postseason matchup, which is hard to believe given the fact we've been playing baseball since the late 1800s. I, yeah, there you have it. I think Astros and Red Sox will get out of the first round. Really? And I think Braves and Padres. I love the Cubs, so I think they get upset. I think Brewers and Dodgers will meet.
Starting point is 00:18:38 I think it's going to be Astros and Ray's to go to the series. So give me Ray's versus the Dodgers. So a rematch of the COVID year that was in Arlington. 2020 World Series rematches which you're on with. Yeah, the Rays versus the Dodgers. Okay, let's do it this way. Could win World Series based off that bracket, Garrett. Could, like, could win?
Starting point is 00:19:01 Yeah, I'm reading this more as like your dark. could be the Braves. You're going to take the Braves. Okay. And taking an NL team on the could win is, that's brave, full pun intended, because just how much of a gauntlet it is. I'll do the same kind of strategy on my could win. I'm going Cubs.
Starting point is 00:19:18 They've been a great storyline. PCA's obviously. I would love the Cubs to win. I'd be sick. PCA is going to run away with the nationally MVP. I mean, Cugley World Series, you can't get better. But they've got to go to San Diego and find a way to beat two out of three Padres. Okay, what about should win?
Starting point is 00:19:31 A Dodgers. Yeah. second best and they have all the they have they have they have they have to win yeah just because the money that they have allocated to that roster you think it's a must win situation yeah it was world series or bust from the get-go my should win is also going to be the dodgers no more star power on this baseball team you know i i'm yeah i'll tell you who i go back i go i take it back will win the world series timbaer bay raise okay that one i would be
Starting point is 00:20:01 completely okay with. Funny enough, I find myself in the postseason, especially when my team's not in it, like the Rangers, I don't have a rooting interest. I have anti-ruding interest. So, like, I'm going to be hate watching the Astros hoping they lose. Yankees, Dodgers, the teams I despise, those are the ones I'm going for. We'll win. Man, this is so tough. We'll win the World Series. I think it's coming from the National League. And they have been on the precipice. They set a franchise record for regular season wins. road goes through their house. We're going up north.
Starting point is 00:20:34 Milwaukee. Milwaukee. The Milwaukee Brewers are going to find a way to win a World Series. I would love that. Won't win. Stros. Astros won't win the World Series. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:44 I mean, book it. I don't care if they get it all the way to the ALCS. They do not have the pitching staff to get it down. They just don't. To eat enough innings. Big pressure pack in it. They just don't, man. And I will go the same road with who they're playing.
Starting point is 00:20:57 And that's the White Sox. It felt a year too early. I think they have to take their post. season lumps before they ever hoist a World Series trophy. But with that said, congratulations to the Chicago White Sox who have lost a enormous amount of games over the last couple years. But also, as much as I despise this team, the Astros have been a dynasty over the last 10 years.
Starting point is 00:21:18 Yeah. I mean, eight division titles, you know, a couple world series. Yeah. A ton of ALCSs. Like, they're up there with the, they're up there as like the Red Sox run and the early 2000s like that. It's been a good 10 years. I'm hoping that it's over.
Starting point is 00:21:38 I thought it was going into this year. I thought they lost too much. I don't know how much longer Altovae and Alvarez can keep this up. But man, they keep grinding. I mean, so we'll see. But it is baseball playoffs. If you don't watch baseball, watch the playoffs. It's incredible.
Starting point is 00:21:54 And hockey starts. So what a great sports season. What a great sports season. A lot more letdown. to happen, Sparks. A lot more letdowns. Yeah, there is. The opposite of a letdown is about to happen, though, because we've got Jamie. Yes. Jamie joins the show on the other side of the break, talking NFL on almost athletes. I've been thinking about getting back into collecting cards lately. Ty inspired me because his Tom Brady downtown collection is stacked. Well, gee, now that it's football season, it's a great time to get back to it. And I know the perfect place to start, the What Not app.
Starting point is 00:22:34 What Not is the largest live shopping marketplace in the United States where shopping happens in real time. Four sports cards are sold every second on What Not. Already on it, Sparks, I have been tracking Caleb Downs, rookie autos all over, and I finally found one on What Not. And the sellers know their stuff. I was asking all kinds of questions. What's rare? What makes one card different from another?
Starting point is 00:22:56 What condition it's actually in? And I got an instant answer. Sounds like they know their stuff and the process is super easy. For me, ripping live is the fun part. Watching a seller open a fresh pack and waiting to see if that one of one is going to get pulled, you can't beat it. I have bought into quite a few cowboy breaks lately and got some awesome cards, but I'm just waiting for my one of one to hit.

Starting point is 00:23:47 Joining us once again is the host of NFL Network's Good Morning Football. She's football family. Jamie Erdall. Football family, I love this. Yeah. You guys, I came accessorized today to show emotional support. There's no emotional support for this. I'm disgusted with the Cowboys.
Starting point is 00:24:05 Emotional support. for Texans Cowboys this weekend and the one collective win that they have between the two of them, something's got to give. We share one state and we share one win. We could definitely go in and tie this football game. That would be so Cowboysie Texan. Can you imagine if we tied? Yeah, that would be just the way this season's going.
Starting point is 00:24:27 If you guys tie this weekend, if there's a ties weekend, you have to pick another team to cheer for this season. I've already flipped. I'm a Bill's guy that I'm done. I'm done with the Cowboys. In fact, if the Cowboys tie this weekend, I will dress in full, you name it, whatever, team gear from helmet, shoulder beds. There's no way there's a tie. That's why I'm signing up. I would like, Sparky, you and I have been talking about this.
Starting point is 00:24:48 Like, I think you have love for the Vikings now. Like, I think you should, like, your hardship bleed purple. Do the boys play the Vikings later this year? Great question. So we're going to definitely have a bet on that. Is Sparky tall enough to be a Vikings fan? Easy. Well, if our quarterback is tall enough, then it's fine.
Starting point is 00:25:04 I'm taller than their quarterback. So, well, I guess we'll get right into it because you already mentioned it. But how are we feeling about the quarterback news out of the old Vikings camp? Yeah, that's fresh. It is fresh. I feel as though these rooms and these buildings and these teams, the way that they're built, I think you have to protect them at all costs. And I'm not saying that whatever was going on with JJ was like something terrible.
Starting point is 00:25:32 It was just off. And like you just, you can't have somebody, the outside world, constantly questioning, like, what is going on. Yeah. And any time, if J.J. McCarthy was still going to be with the Vikings and whoever was on that shorter deal, that short term deal, Carson, Kyler, doesn't matter. They were always going to say, like, well, who is it? Isn't it the guy that you drafted or is it the guy that you brought in for a year? So I think there was clarity there as to the direction the Vikings are trying to go in, which is away from J.J. McCarthy. Also consider new GM, Nolan Teasley, and from the guy. the Seahawks, no responsibility or obligation to that draft pick.
Starting point is 00:26:07 That was not his pick. That's a good point. So he gets a fifth rounder back. And for the Giants, I understand it. I think Jackson's your guy, but it's never bad to have somebody that you can coach up to be as like-minded as him. So you can have a backup, as I said last week, more parallel maybe to the playing style. Because I don't think you can keep James on. Now we're having a 2027 conversation.
Starting point is 00:26:27 I don't think you can keep James in that locker room next year. So I think like a Jackson-JJ situation is fine. Yeah, to me, it was like one of those things that kind of make both sense for all sides, and therefore it happened. With that said, how was your husband dealing with it? Is that bone crusher for him? Well, I think the worst bone crusher was the end of the Iowa Michigan game on Saturday. My house of three kids is not quiet often, but, like, there was just, like, stunts. A somber. Yeah, it was a ghost of Western.
Starting point is 00:26:56 I would honestly, being an Aggie fan, I would love to be in a game to the last play. Yeah. That would be fantastic. Well, careful what you wish for. I was thinking about it. I was like, I saw someone just listing off all of the fan bases that had a hard weekend. And I was like, wait, I know somebody who that applies to. And I was like, I'm going to check on him on Tuesday. It might have been the worst weekend of my life. Great reminder to like your support system. You need to reach out to your fellow sports fans when it's a nightmare weekend because everybody goes through it as a sports fan. But when it's really dark, you can get really dark.
Starting point is 00:27:30 But to finish the thought on that, like the gym. Like the JJ back with the Harbaugh thing, I think for any Michigan person. Yeah. Like you just want to see him do well. So I think he's all right with it. So is he going to go in and like challenge James for the starter? I imagine he's got to get acquainted with the scheme, of course, the language, the lingo, get him in and out of a huddle at least. But I would imagine it's trending that way.
Starting point is 00:27:51 To Jamie's point, I don't think, I think everybody in New York's acknowledging that James is not the future there. So why not? I'm saying like this year. I mean, we all know. James is like on a shot clock. Right. He's fine. here eventually. And honestly, they're kind of depriving us from a full year of James, which I was excited
Starting point is 00:28:05 about. You never know what you're going to get with James. You know, he might go airborne. He's going to give a postgame quote, you know, just for the record books at some point, if not multiple. Well, he already did. He did the sideline one this week of like the quote and he looked up into the clouds. He needs to be the first player that's active, but also a sideline reporter during the game, James. I think he's a genius idea. He goes in interviews and other coach. Let him be a backup. But I need him already in the sideline reporting game because he's going to be elite. Hey, Scott Hanson said it. It was the most incredible witching hour, I think, of all time in the red zone, the noon window.
Starting point is 00:28:39 All these games coming down to the wire, 12 games decided by one possession. If you exclude the games from outside North America, a really fun football Sunday. But if we're going to talk about the good and the bad, we've got to talk about the ugly. Five teams find themselves 0 and 3. That is the Bucks, Titans, Dolphins, Texans, and Chargers. If they are fans of those respective teams, what do you tell? Is there any hope already? It's 0-and-3.
Starting point is 00:29:04 As we've seen, any given Sunday was kind of in play. There's hope for two of those teams. Is there now? Okay, I have one of them. I think there's hope for the Texas, just because sadly, they've done it before. But who's the other team you all for this win-lens? I still feel like the Bucks have talent. Even with the injury?
Starting point is 00:29:21 I do. I think they could find their way to eight to nine wins and maybe squeak in. depending on other teams. Yeah, and the NCC South. Let's come off again, Sparky. Chargers are hopeless. Bucks, Titans are hopeless. Titans are also.
Starting point is 00:29:35 I think the two midas are hopeless. Yeah, Titans and Finns, I think we see the writing on the wall there. But between the Bucks, Texans, Chargers, there could be a team at the life. Did you guys see that moment with Jeff Halfley at media availability the other day? Did you see this? Jeff Hathley sat down with the reporters and he's like, is this all that's coming? And they're like, yeah, it's heat media day. And you're just like, what do we do?
Starting point is 00:29:56 doing. Yeah. That's almost where you got to get paid extras there, you know, just to save face. Oh, my gosh, totally. Yeah, you got a question? No, I'm just here for 50 bucks. I would have been so good. That would have been awesome. Could you imagine getting caught doing that?
Starting point is 00:30:11 That's like the equivalent to having a burner. Yeah, I would say to Texans. I mean, again, if you're going to have a get right game, I guess there's no better opponent to have this weekend and a very confusing Cowboys team. I know you tried to exclude it because it was outside the domestic U.S., but we got to talk about real. Do you want to go there? And can we just like maybe just take the opponent out of it and commend the Ravens for end of game navigation?
Starting point is 00:30:35 Sure. It is, you have to be such a wily game vet for Lamar to have his wits about him to the point to not only throw that pass, realize you're in bounds, run up to the referee, get the timeout called. Like that is, that is fantastic execution compared to the execution that we did not see. Do you think the, I didn't go back and watch it. Was the receiver going down himself? He was giving himself up. He was. Yes.
Starting point is 00:31:04 Okay. Intentionally. Right. Because you could just run the clock out if you didn't go down. Yeah. But can we just, can we just like, we can all be grownups about it? Can we just talk about the Cowboys for a second? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:31:14 Yeah. Let's go there. So what do you guys make of, let's go before the Brandon Aubrey kick. Let's go Red Zone, Dak Prescott, decision making. I mean, shot he said he gave himself an F in play. calling. As fans and guys who watch it probably differently than I do, like, what were you thinking? Yeah, I think it was kind of F play calling as well. Of course, you got the very generous PI calls down there, CD-Land. We both agreed that that's obviously OPI, if anything. So you kind
Starting point is 00:31:41 of got the free pass down there. Then you have the pre-snap penalty, Schoonmaker, and I thought the Cowboys were kind of tone deaf. It was Schoonmaker's birthday yesterday, and they put out a happy birthday, you know, kind of, and of course, or mute the comments, you know, like, don't do that. guy can't even celebrate his birthday. He's getting loaded. But I did think the play calling was really bad from down in there. Of course, I do also think Dak probably ate a little too much clock there with only the one timeout left. So you kind of left yourself vulnerable to do you want to do the run game. When he scrambled there, I believe it was on second down. Then you have to, you're forced to use the timeout. And then I just didn't like they didn't even give really an opportunity there
Starting point is 00:32:18 on the third and goal play. Looks like Dak was just kind of tossing it to the chairleader. It was immediate. You didn't even let the play to develop. It was strange. And that's the one that shot. He was like, I overcoach him on that. That's what he's trained to do. And it's just like, that's so.
Starting point is 00:32:33 They played for the diet at that point. Yeah. Yeah. And then, but then to kick it into the end zone and you can't do that. You cannot do that. And for people to say that that was Aubrey's decision. They're crazy. It's complete mismanagement.
Starting point is 00:32:47 Yeah, I'm sorry. But hey, props to the people in Rio, if they weren't an American football fan going in, they certainly got treated to an instinct classic. but that's the dark side of sports sometimes. The NFL has ever seen. Sure, because usually, you know, the Jaguars are attached, something like that. So that's a lot of fun. Shout to the Jags.
Starting point is 00:33:03 Shout to the Jigs. This weekend. Man, what a great game for Trevor Lawrence and those guys. The Jax are the real deal. They are the real deal. Duval stand up. They've got something cooking down there in Florida. Well, we talked about the ugly that are the O and three teams.
Starting point is 00:33:17 There are a host of three and O teams, including your Minnesota Vikings, who are once again victorious. Congratulations. Joining them, the race. VATers, 49ers, Chiefs, and Bills. Yeah, so first of all, your vikes, found away. Congratulations. Did they ever?
Starting point is 00:33:34 Man, it was uncomfortable to watch, though. I don't know what's going on on offense. It's like, 3-0 is great. And listen, stacking wins is back and we find enough teams in December that we can look back on their September schedule and say, like, well, they didn't help themselves enough. So I'm not going to denigrate a 3-0 start, but I still, I look at their schedule. I think they play the dolphins this weekend. Hopefully they get Justin Jefferson back.
Starting point is 00:33:58 I think it's at home. It's just like you guys are kind of being handed some lob passes here. And I feel like you got to dunk on one of them and not make it just kind of like concerning towards the end. Because if Baker hadn't, Baker easily could have completed some miracle pass there and like could have lost the game in a heartbeat on that last play. So happy for the three and no start. Still not sure what's going on a quarterback. Don't know if Kyler's the answer. but whatever, it's 3 and 0.
Starting point is 00:34:25 Right. You are what your record is at the end of the day, and being 3 and 0, regardless of how you get there, still feels pretty darn good. The June bugs, aka my fantasy team, are wondering, do you have an update on Justin Jefferson? Really hurt me. The June bugs were marching a comeback, and then all of a sudden high ankle spraying the three worst words in sports. Is he going to be okay? I need to know the origin story of the June bugs, first of all. Long story.
Starting point is 00:34:48 That's one for when you're in-house next time. Okay. Okay, deal. Put it on the topic list. Sounds like it's week to week. It doesn't sound super serious. I haven't heard anything more than two to four weeks. But honestly, I would sit them maybe against the Dolphins just to give it a beat.
Starting point is 00:35:06 Because you can? I'm outside the building, so don't listen to me. Yeah, because I can. But I wouldn't want to do that to the June bugs. Right. The June bugs are fighting for their lives here, Jamie. I'll tell you what I want to do. Yeah, you are in trouble.
Starting point is 00:35:18 I'm staring at relegation right in the face. No. Long live the Junebug. though. Hey, listen, go ahead. How do I get rel-I'm not playing fantasy this year? I'm taking a sabbatical. How do I get relegated into the dude per-of-this? Well, you have to do it the hard way. You would start in the C-League, and that is a real thing.
Starting point is 00:35:34 Is that where you're going to join me next season? No, I don't think she would go all the way to C. We could fast-forward her into B. I could fast-forward into A, to be honest. Just don't have it on my grave. If it's my team that leaves, don't have Jamie replace me. That would feel horrible. We'll talk about that also.
Starting point is 00:35:53 Yes, fantasy football. What do you say we play a game? All right, let's do it. All right, we're going to talk quarterbacks. We're three games into the season, and some of the QBs we expected to be MVP candidates have looked terrible and some have looked awesome. So we're going to go through some of these most talked about
Starting point is 00:36:08 quarterbacks so far this season, and we're going to tier them. Everybody loves a good tier list. S-tier Sunday Savior. A-tier, actually good. B-tier, bro. He's fine. C-tier could be worse. D-tier, dude, you're scaring me.
Starting point is 00:36:19 And last but not least, find another quarterback. Jamie, you want to start us off with your Sunday Savior, your S-tier quarterback through three weeks in the National Football League. My first S-tier quarterback I will place in that category and that tier is Mr. Brock Purdy. My gosh, like the 49ers offense is unbelievable, no matter what continent they're on. He doesn't go down. No one comes within 10 feet of him. He has all this time to make plays.
Starting point is 00:36:50 He has a plethora of options. Brock Purdy is fantastic, and he is my A number one Sunday savior quarterback in that tier. I think he is completing like 74-ish percent of his passes right now. I mean, super efficient doing his thing. Nosex is just continues to boggle. Shout out O line there in San Fran. Gare, S-tier, you got one of you? I mean, just got to go with Josh Allen.
Starting point is 00:37:13 Just finds a way. I mean, he coughed up two picks, though. And he's still finding a way. Aren't you going to get that with Josh? you kind of know what you're going to get. He's got that gunslinger to him. And I think if Josh, let's be fair. One of those picks was otherworldly. Right. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And he's going to extend a play and throw a pick when you probably shouldn't because he found a way, get the ball off anyhow. I think it's a little give and take there, of course, with Josh Allen. How about this one for me on
Starting point is 00:37:38 S-tier? I'm going to go Patrick Mahomes. Just the fact that we're three weeks into the season and people aren't talking about the injury much anymore. I think we're fully past that. You know what I It feels like that didn't even happen at this point in the game. So to see a happy and efficient pat my homes back in the mix, that's pretty darn cool. You know, when you're like sitting with somebody and they say like, hey, look over there, you see that person in the restaurant and you're like, I don't know what I'm looking at. I think that what I feel about watching the homes. I'm like, is that a limp?
Starting point is 00:38:06 Is it not? Oh, no, it's just another touchdown pass. Like, I don't know what I'm looking at anymore. Like he seems beyond perfectly fine. And I'm actually not convinced that he actually tore his ACL last season. Yeah. Wow. Her analogy game's on five.
Starting point is 00:38:18 here tonight. I love how you're just finding ways to tie things together. That's awesome. A tier, Jamie. A tier. Actually good. Actually good. Actually good. I'll go, oh man, I have one. I'll go Bo Nix. I'm going to go Bo NICs. With the 20th comeback of his NFL career, I saw something on social media that made me chuckle, which was this guy was like, I'm pretty sure Bo Nix hasn't played a. normal NFL game in his career. And you know what? I'm actually okay with it. Because if this is just the same way we get it with Josh Allen or frankly Stafford with the pick sixes, if this is the experience we can get with Bo Nix where he like doesn't know what time the game
Starting point is 00:39:00 starts and he just plays in the second half, so be it. Bo Nix, you're my actually good quarterback for this year for this game. The Martin Scorsese of the NFL. Yeah. Yes. Just producing hits. Rotten Tomato. More like the M. Nice Chamelon version. There you go. Actually good, Gare. I'm going to go Trevor Lawrence. Sure. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. He's balling out, man. He looks to, he looks, he's, he's developed nicely. Like it took him a little bit, but.
Starting point is 00:39:25 And the hair hasn't aged at all. I mean, man, that hair still looks so good this point in his career. That's hard to do, man. It's hard to even keep it at this point in my career. Me and Garrett know all about that. Actually, good for me. I'm going to go with Bryce Young. They had the disappointing loss in Cleveland.
Starting point is 00:39:40 I know they're sitting there at one and two, but he leads the league in passing, which I thought was shocking. Does he really? Yeah, 939 yards, most past yards. which is probably not a good thing for Carolina because they want to run the football so much. I think he had 48 passes last week, which is too much. But 7 to 2 touchdown to pick ratio. Only been sacked seven times through three weeks on all those dropbacks.
Starting point is 00:39:59 But yeah, Panthers 1 and 2. But I have seen some growth from Bryce Young. It looks like he's turned a little corner here early in year number 3. I believe it is for the former number one pick. Bro, he's fine. Bro, he is fine. Bro, he's not that old. Aaron Rogers is fine, okay?
Starting point is 00:40:19 The Steelers finally found some offense over the weekend against the bangles of all opponents. And the clip that plays in my mind on repeat from Rogers already this season is when he said, I don't give a bleep about the target list. And he's just like, I don't care, it's not Devante Adams out there anymore. I don't care who my wide receiver core is. I'm going to get the right guy, the ball when I decide to. And bro, he's fine. Let's stop saying that Aaron Rogers should have retired in the summer.
Starting point is 00:40:45 give him his heyday, let him play, he's fine. Yeah, he's got a little pep in his step, especially it was a shot he took last week. He took one right in the rib cage unknowingly. I think it was his blindside. From Dexter Lauren. No, Dexter Lawrence came down with his knee. And I thought that one was like, oh, no, you know, put him in a coffin. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:41:03 You know, start the obituary. It's over. And he popped up and I was like, okay, Aaron. Okay, Aaron. Like that pick there, Jamie. Yeah. Uh-huh. Thanks. I'm going to ruffle some feathers with this one.
Starting point is 00:41:13 Yeah. I think Sean Woller. Watson. Oh, wow. Okay. I think he's fine. I mean, he's getting wins right now and what more can you ask for? That's the best medicine. As long as you're winning and the dog pounds love in it. Are you saying like, bro, he's fine? Or are we saying like, bro, we're fine? I think he can distribute the ball. So I think bro, he's, he's fine. I could have, I could have picked like an easy one and said Sam Darnold. But no, I do. Anytime there's a Cleveland quarter rack over 500 at any point in the year. It's like, hey, you've got my attention. I think he, you know,
Starting point is 00:41:50 he does have the weapons and, and that helps, but I think it's a good point. I think the Denzel Boston, I love him. I really love the rookie Dinsel boss. I think he had like one singular drop in his whole college career, which is just astonishing. And then Casey Concepciona, obviously, too. So he did add more weapons there. And so, so far, so good. He is. Concepcion is. He is an Aggie. Helps in the return game significantly, too. I like that big gear. Bro, he's fine for me also kind of in the same vein, a little under the radar possibly. Jacoby Brissette, nothing wild, but he's top 10 and adjusted QBR currently.
Starting point is 00:42:25 Anytime you hang 30 on San Fran and San Fran, you're doing something, right, you know? That's true. And, you know, the cards are more competitive than I thought thus far, even though they're one and two. And he's only turned it over one time. I don't hope so. I mean, Tray McBride is a great player. And Jeremy loves it. He's a great.
Starting point is 00:42:44 I mean, they're professionals out there. You know, like, I expect them to be able to compete. But you're right, 30. I'll give it to you. That's a good one. I like it felt like you were trying to tell me that wasn't a good one. Yeah, that's okay, Jamie. I appreciate it.
Starting point is 00:42:56 I talked my way into it for you. All right, deal. Moving on, could have been, could be worse. Moving down to our C tier, could be worse. I'm going, Gino Smith, because I think with the Jets, we teeter on patronizing at times, but I feel like the Jets are as a collective, as an experience. as a football watching activity playing better and like serviceable football. And I know they lose.
Starting point is 00:43:22 I get it. But they gave the Packers a game and they let one go. Packers. They played tough with the Lions. And Gino Smith, of all the other things that we go through with the Jets quarterback situation, like it could be worse. I stand by you. You seem to be the right guy for Aaron Glenn right now for this team.
Starting point is 00:43:39 Yeah, they give off the vibes like their Facebook status. Gino and the Jets are, it's complicated. just at all times. But they stay together, you know? It's like they don't full on get the breakup. They're just, they just live in it. It's complicated. And I'm like, I wish could be worse was a relationship status.
Starting point is 00:43:55 I wouldn't have used that. Could be worse. Could be worse. Oh, good though. Gino Smith, Garrett. Could be worse. Give me the Saints QB. Tyler.
Starting point is 00:44:06 Tyler Shuck. What do we think about him so far? I think he has like, he's kind of bipolar when it comes. Yeah, I was about to say. Very much a mixed bag. It's like one half he decides just to like not play. And then it's like he's unstoppable. Right.
Starting point is 00:44:21 Complete's 10 in the row for 150. And it's like goes back to like, what are you doing? So it could be worse. At least you're competent a little bit and putting yourself in a chance to win the game. Yeah, a little glass half full half. Yeah, depending on how you look at it. Don't mind that at all. My could be worse.
Starting point is 00:44:34 I'm going to go with the injuries to the quarterback position. Baker, Dart, Caleb, Daniels, Kyler. They've all been hurt. but the grand scheme of things, we've kind of avoided the big one, at least. We avoided Caleb. It looked like it was possibly going to be. Well, Jackson Dart's the big one. Sure, Jackson Dart is the big one.
Starting point is 00:44:52 But Kyler, good to see him back. Injury is always going to be part of the game. My high school coach always said it's a collision sport, not a contact sport. He hated when it was called a contact because it's a collision sport. Yeah. And with that, unfortunately, comes the dark side that is injuries. They'll never not go away. But with that said, looking forward to some of these quarterbacks
Starting point is 00:45:11 getting in proper health and return into their football teams. That's a good point. Thank you. Thank you. Dude, you're scaring me. I got a good one for this one. Me too. Maybe I'll steal it.
Starting point is 00:45:22 Yeah, I think you probably will. Drake may. Oh, okay. No, no, I'm not there yet. Okay. Dude. You're scaring me. And I know that maybe some of this is coming from the fear that you felt last year
Starting point is 00:45:37 running for your life because you got hit so many times last season. Like the Patriots offensive line did not help him last year. He made it. I get it. The schedule was what it was. Super Bowl appearance. Fine. The Seahawks struck a fear in that young man and I don't think he's shaking it since, I mean, he's playing like he can't go through anything comfortably to find anybody within this offense.
Starting point is 00:45:59 He's only thrown one passing touchdown to start the season. He's already thrown six picks. You have the visual of Rayball on the sideline, like pounding on his shoulder pads being like, yo, you got to get right at some point. what is going on with you? I don't know the answer. Dude, Drake May. I'm worried about it. Seeing ghost.
Starting point is 00:46:15 He's seeing ghost, I tell you. I could technically put this one and find another quarterback, but I'm not there yet because he's young. But I'm going to go, dude, you're scaring me. Cam Ward. Yeah, okay. Yeah. Sure.
Starting point is 00:46:27 You just don't think it's working with Dayball. I know he's not in a great situation, but got to have some improvement eventually, right? The Jersey's improved. Yeah, the Jersey's at least improved. They're great. That's a win for Timbers, Yeah.
Starting point is 00:46:40 Which, by the way. The thing about Cam is like, there's just some quarterbacks I feel like in NFL history where they're just so talented and you think it's on the coaching or it's on the personnel. And it just, we draft them so high and we put so much stock and them as a person and a story and whatnot. And they're like, it's hard to admit sometimes if it's the guy. Yeah. Yeah. Well, heck, the second coming of Tom Brady would probably have a hard time winning games in Tennessee currently given the current state. the Titans as well.
Starting point is 00:47:10 So we also got to factor that in. Dude, you're scaring me. You could change this to Drake. You're scaring me because I'm right there with you. Probably Drake May at the top. But since you took it Jamie, I'll go with Justin Herbert. Second lowest adjusted QBR in the league, completing less than 60% of his passes thus far. More I&Ts than touchdowns.
Starting point is 00:47:28 Chargers are obviously 0 and 3. And I was looking last night, he signed that extension there in 23. Quickly year on year three of that five-year extension. The clock's going to run out on that. I fear that in old LA land with the chargers, you may be approaching something that every team dreads a little bit, and that's pressing the restart button. I don't want to get too crazy.
Starting point is 00:47:48 But staring at O&3, it's Desperate Times call for Desperate Measures there. And Justin Herbert, you got to get going, young man. Yeah, he does. And he'd probably say the same thing to me. It's like, hey, you showed up five minutes late to pod. You got to get going. You're right. Yeah, you're right, Justin.
Starting point is 00:48:03 If that's what you wanted to say back to me. And finally, to round out our tier F, find another quarterback. I don't want to do this one. Yeah, you don't have to. You don't have to. This one is like, it makes me sad because I think it puts, it's such an indictment on the player. Like, sure, could we say what's going on and Miami is confusing and we don't know what they're about or, you know, what's up with the Texans? But it's like saying finds somebody else.
Starting point is 00:48:31 It's just such a like, it's such a blow to the player. That is. And I hate doing it. Now, I'll say this. I did have notes coming in, and I was like, just forced myself to write something down. Honestly, I love the Vikings, but I'm also like, what are we doing at quarterback? So I'll just say a concept that because I just don't know the future, but it's also, it's like where my brain and my heart is right now. But I really, I want to pass on this one.
Starting point is 00:48:56 Yeah, Minnesota. It almost is like what the Steelers will be after this year. I mean, they're going to need to find a quarterback. And you kind of mentioned it. And again, I had this, I had him turning it around. He hasn't quite done it yet. Still plenty of season left. But the Texans will also be in a, we might need to find another quarterback.
Starting point is 00:49:17 They have the extension talk. They're going to wait until after the season. If this thing doesn't turn around quickly, they could also be a team that's find another quarterback. Yeah. I thought the same thing in the summer, actually, when the whole Baker thing was going on when he was like pulling away from contract negotiations. I remember seeing a headline somewhere that was like, CJ Stroud has tabled contract talks. And I just was like, who wants to tell them?
Starting point is 00:49:41 Who wants to tell them that maybe they didn't want to be in the contract talk too? Yeah. So it's, I hear you. But I'm doing one. I want to do the zero entry into this conversation. Smart. You see, you're very smart. I'll tell you what, especially for somebody with a red eye from Chicago last night.
Starting point is 00:49:57 It's very impressive. My F tier, I'm also going to avoid calling out quarterback because I'd love all these guys to be future. guest. I don't want to burn that bridge. So with that being said, did anybody see the end zone color in the New Bills Stadium? It's bothering me. It's orange. It's not red. Look up a picture. Are you sure? Like that wasn't just your TV setting? But I want them to repaint it. Yeah. I mean, it's going on with the Junebug's TV. Yeah. It could be a TV issue. I think it looks red to me, dude. Maybe it's confusing because their jerseys are such a strange color. I wish you could see something from the game. I think it was the natural sunlight hitting it gave off a really orange color. And I don't
Starting point is 00:50:32 know I'm just an aesthetic person and it was bothering me. So find another end zone. So find another end zone color. Just please paint it. Just paint it. Now you're taking someone's job who's out there is to paint the color correctly and like find another. I do like the blue on the bill's end zone.
Starting point is 00:50:47 Just go back to blue. Don't do orange. I don't think it's orange. Yeah, somebody out there clip it. Oh, yeah. Clip it and post it. We'll definitely believe you. Are you guys like field purists?
Starting point is 00:51:00 Do you want it to kind of like, are you like, are you like, Boise State fans or like, what do you like until I'm not, I'm a field pure. I can't stand the gray fields, the Boise State fields. I'm a lover of natural grass. I like Boise State because they were the first to do it. And then anybody after that's kind of, it's lost its cool factor, I would say. But I do think like a solid midfield logo can swing a game by three to seven points. Like when the brownies have the little elf guy in the middle.
Starting point is 00:51:26 Yeah. I'm telling you that means something. Yeah. I think turf in general from collegiate on should, it has to be. be natural grass. Hey, I'm telling you, these guys are getting bigger, stronger, faster, but they're also getting more injured. And I think that's part of it. Turf talkers. Totally. Totally. It's like in the college basketball courts that are like to weigh now. Maybe that's my TV, but like some of them are like have that ashy gray look. And I'm just like, this isn't right.
Starting point is 00:51:49 This is not parquet. I need the parquet brown. There's too much money in the game to like, you know, look what they did with the World Cup. They brought in the Jerry World Real Grass and you grow it with lights. Yes, it's expensive. But doesn't matter. You make a lot of money. NFL does make quite a good money. Put real grass on the field. Right. Yeah. When I was in Madrid last year, I got like the whole lecture as to how. Oh, yes. Real Madrid. Yes. Real Madrid stadium. Like they move the panels of grass over and then they store them vertically. And then they have lights that we come over to them. And then they like, oh, it is like you're going to the spa, but you're like a pain of grass. It's unbelievable. And they're like, you know, let's tuck this away for the NFL. We're going to put that back out when a real Madrid lights. And we can't get. Jerry Jones to put up a curtain. The Cowboys curse will live on until we put up a curtain and block out that sun.
Starting point is 00:52:37 Just to recap our list, Sunday Savior, Brock Purdy, Josh Allen, Patrick Mahomes. Actually good. Jamie went with Bo Nix. You went Trevor Lawrence. I went Bryce Young. Bro, he's fine. Aaron Rogers.
Starting point is 00:52:49 Deshawn Watson, which I really like that. It was clever pick. And Jacoby Burset for me. It could be worse. Jamie went Gino. You went Tyler Shuck. I went to the injured quarterbacks list. Could be worse.
Starting point is 00:53:00 Drake, you're scaring me, aka dude, you're scaring me, Drake, May, Cam Ward, Justin Herbert, and then find another quarterback. Jamie went with the Minnesota quarterback room long term. You went C.J. Stroud. I went bills in zone color.
Starting point is 00:53:14 Again, thank you so much, Jamie. We can TV shop over the weekend or something. If you get a good TV, send it my way. We'll try to up our game. I know. I think the Junebugs need to win their league. I think you need to use the winnings and buy yourself a new flat screen or something.
Starting point is 00:53:30 Yeah. Well, you already have one from the... I do. Sitting up here. That's true. That's a good point. Best bye. I do love my free TV and I will hang that up in my place soon enough.
Starting point is 00:53:39 They're tough. You know those are tough. Thank you, Jamie. We'll see you next week. See you, Jamie. Hi, friends. All right. We'll be right back with outdoor boys to take you behind the scenes of their epic spearfishing video.
Starting point is 00:53:52 I can't believe it finally happened, Sparky. What's that, G? You managed to make it through the weekend without yelling at any breaths? No. I actually didn't even try to do that. The best thing that happened was that I finally found the perfect family car, the newly designed Chrysler Pacifica. And get this, it's NSFW.
Starting point is 00:54:15 It's not suitable for work? Nope, it's actually very suitable for work. And for my kids, because it has numerous safety features within. Oh, safety features are great, but what about the mess the kids leave? Everyone knows you're a little bit of a neat freak. That's the best part. It's got amazing safety features and a Stoan Vak built right in to clean up the mess as soon as as it happens. It really does have it all. Cody took me for a test drive last week and I got to be
Starting point is 00:54:40 honest. That is the first time I've ever felt safe in a car with Jones. I love the Pacifica Sto and go seating and storage systems. I know. It's great for when I need to fit the whole family on a road trip. There's still enough space to separate the kids when they start acting up. And I can flatten the seats to fit all the kids gear in the car. It creates so much space. I sometimes offer to take the refs gear too. Yeah, right. Check out the newly designed Chrysler Pacifica at Chrysler. com today. In communities across Canada, hourly Amazon employees earn an average of over $26 an hour. Starting point is 00:55:54 Feels good. The DPO spearfishing vid. Feels really good. Fastest growing vid in DPO history. Whoa. I mean, short history, 10 months, but yeah. It's 90 minutes. Yeah, pretty much.
Starting point is 00:56:07 Yeah, hour 20 minutes. My kids tried to get me. We were actually, we were actually... Just one video before bad, dad. Well, we were actually in at Punta Bravo where we filmed the lobster diving video and my kids are like, dad, can we watch one video before bed? I was like,
Starting point is 00:56:21 sure, sure. I had no idea. And Kristen comes out, she's like, you know this is a 90 minute video. Yeah, we're not watching all that, kiddos. The kids do. Kill the retention. Let's get off. Kids knew. That's why our retention went down a little bit. We had to bail at
Starting point is 00:56:37 45 minutes and then they watched the rest the next day. I saw that on the stats. Which kid was that? It was Owen. Yeah, man, I saw him negotiate about three hours of extra screen time when we went down to college station. Guys, guy's good. He's good. He's going to be a salesman, for sure. He's going to be a salesman, for sure.
Starting point is 00:56:52 It's like one of those ones. How can you even get on to him? Because he's going about it the right way. Yeah. Genius. So we went down to the Bahamas for this one? We did. Does that require a passport?
Starting point is 00:57:01 Yeah. Yeah. It does? Does it? Loosely. What do you mean by that? Well, there's stricter places that you can go with a passport. It's just, you know, he show up and you're like,
Starting point is 00:57:13 Here it is. Jackson. It's a show and go situation. All right, sweet. Thanks for coming. Go put up some monster fish, though. I did kind of miss your comedic relief on this video. And I will say, like, there was a lot of growth from everybody, from lobster diving.
Starting point is 00:57:30 I wouldn't have had any growth. No, you would have. You would have. You would add growth. Dude, I mean, I was out there, and Lou was like, dude, you want to get in for some lot? I was like, no. Oh, dude. I'm a top water guy.
Starting point is 00:57:41 I'm going to go fish for these suckers. It was good, though. We started off in Jupiter. Grant Horvatt just got his boat not too long ago. Clickbaits. We've been talking about doing this vid for a long time. Clickbait's the name of the boat. Clickbait's the name of this boat. It's a really good boat game. He's already looking at new boats too, which is crazy. Dude, well, maybe we should buy this one for Puta. Leave it up Puta for us. Not bad. Not bad. But we, yeah, literally got on in Florida and then just drove to the Bahamas, which is still kind of a crazy concept to me that you can just boat over to the Bahamas from Florida. Florida. Ryan has said that it took him nine hours to get across one time because if the waves are too big, you got to slow a lot. If it's two foot swells, you can't do that. Yeah, we lucked out on the way there and honestly on the way back. It was very calm. That's so sick, though, to just go and, you know, go catch some fish in the Bahamas. Yeah. That's really sick. Went to Gran Key and Grant goes over there all the time. So they've got a bunch of spots marked and stuff on their GPS. And first day just kind of
Starting point is 00:58:41 kept it pretty simple. Doe for some conk. Kept our dives relatively shallow. Was the conk the huge fish you caught? No, conks are the shells. Oh. The shells. That was the big one. Black grouper or Kubara snapper.
Starting point is 00:58:55 It was a snap. Or Mystic grouper is what we deep dropped for. That was the one that we pulled up from 1,500 feet of water. The one that's like the size of your body. That's the mystic grouper. Okay. You caught that. We caught it.
Starting point is 00:59:05 So you can, when you're in really deep, deep water like 1,500 feet to 9,000. 1900 feet. They do deep dropping with electric reels because hand cranking a fish up from 1900 feet. You'd be there for hours. You can imagine takes, yeah, you have no time to fish. Electric reels, they make those? So it literally, it literally, it's just light up your hour. Literally press a button and it reels it up. Dude, that's awful. But this, this grouper that we caught stalled out the reel because it was too big. So like guys that will go do swordfish or queen snapper or a bunch of these fish that are like,
Starting point is 00:59:41 way, way, way down, we'll use deep drop reels that are basically electric. And you just like winch them up from the bottom. That is epic. Yeah. Because I'm trying to keep up here. Yeah. Because part of you, we got calls a lot going on. I was just thinking about how seasick I'd get going out to Grand Key and I got lost there for a second.
Starting point is 00:59:57 You actually would have been fine on this show. Yeah, that's what they said. I did see comments. I did see comments. Hopefully Sparky wasn't on this trip. They know you. They know you well. So you were pretty much pre-gaming with those first fish?
Starting point is 01:00:10 Like that was your appetizer? for the entree? Was that just for the fun of the game? Love of the game? Well, I mean, the main part of the trip was spearfishing. That's where I was going. The objective of the trip was to go spearfish. Yes, and it's a very, like, primitive fishing style. Like, there are no spear guns allowed in the Bahamas. So like in Punta Brava or California, Baja, California, whatever, a lot of places you can use spear guns. So they got bands on them. You pull them back. You're not holding any weight. Your spear gun is like neutrally buoyant, so you just like swim around with it, and then you pull the trigger and it launches a spear. And we weren't doing that? You cannot do that in the Bahamas. Bahamas, you got to use
Starting point is 01:00:50 like Hawaiian slings or pole spears. So it's all, it's like a slingshot spear. So it's like a rubber band basically on the back of a really long spear pole and you put your hand through it and then you just slide that pole all the way up. And when you get to the top, you're holding a lot of tension in your arm and when you let go it launches the spear but you've got to be really really close to the fish in order to shoot it i see that sounds like a workout too it was when we do it again i'm gonna have to like actually train underwater because i got three minutes in like 10 seconds or something out of water and i couldn't even get like 30 when i was going on you got three minutes when you were just kind of like laying there like tie did that and puta i don't know if i got that or was it you
Starting point is 01:01:32 that oh you did yeah so there was practice leading up in terms of like holding your breath oh yeah We did a lot of breath training. Like drive, where were we driving? And me and you were both. Yeah, Oklahoma. I was about the past hours behind the wheel. It's a great time to do it. When you're driving to Oklahoma.
Starting point is 01:01:50 And we're breath hold training. It's both not saying a word just. You got to get ready. Well, we're going to see who was prep for training camp and who wasn't because we are going to do a breath holding contest. Oh, no. In today's program. I'm out of all. I'm the judge.
Starting point is 01:02:08 I think we're a little out of the longest. Who was the best? Ty's the best. Ty. He can hold his breath for like seven minutes. It's not true. That's not ridiculous. That's getting David Blaine territory.
Starting point is 01:02:17 No. That feels. That's all right. Look at him, dude. He's 45 seconds. He's just like, oh, dude, look at his show. That's a conk. I don't understand.
Starting point is 01:02:24 And I don't know if it's because he's done this a little bit more. Like when he was in, like in Punta Brava and stuff. But the first day, I was like, dude, how are you staying down there so long? He's like, dude, I don't know. You just got to, you got to stay relaxed. And like, like, like, Like, so we went back after day one. And I was like, what was your heart rate at?
Starting point is 01:02:41 Like, because we had our garments on and everything. I was like, what was your heart rate at when you were diving? And he was like, we went back. I think his highest was like maybe 100. And yours was like 180. Dude, mine stayed at like 120. And when I would go down, it would go to like 140. And like the higher your heart is the worst your breath hold is.
Starting point is 01:02:56 No one talks about like the anxiety levels a little bit. Because when I would go down, I would start feeling like if the deepest I went to like was 40 feet. And when I got to. That's insane. Yeah. And when I got to like 30, though, I was like, I'm not going to make it up. And so I would shoot back up. And I noticed I still had like, I could have stayed down there a little longer.
Starting point is 01:03:16 For 10, at least 15 more seconds. Yeah. But like, the last thing you want to do is pass out on the way up. Because that's what they were like, that's where the danger is. Yeah. And we don't have Navy. You didn't have Navy SEALs on this one. No, we didn't know.
Starting point is 01:03:27 My anxiety started on top of the water, the snorkel. I hate the snorkel. Having to breathe through the snorkel. It just freaks me out. Yeah. Dude, I can't breathe out of this thing. Much less hold my breath. What breath is there to hold it? Yeah. I kind of felt like an intern because you were talking about Hawaiian swings and negative buoyancy. It's over my head. But I sense that there were, there was some real danger in here, not only just being under 50 feet of water, but we were battling other elements, I assume, too. Yeah. There was a lot of sharks. A lot of sharks. And these guys are anti-snake. I feel like a shark is literally just a water snake. He's a lot of sharks. He's a lot of sharks. A lot of sharks. And these guys are anti-snake. I feel like a shark is literally just a water snake. I don't merge sharks either.
Starting point is 01:04:09 Did we see any face to face? Oh, gosh, dude. Yeah. We had to poke some sharks away from us. Ooh. Yeah, and then of course you got Kazi, our underwater videographer, who's just a psycho. He hasn't come out of the water yet. He's filmed this whole video.
Starting point is 01:04:25 Yeah, he was still underwater. And like, we go to this little beach one evening and Grant's like, oh my gosh, dude, there's a tiger shark. You know, I've never seen one up close before. giant hammerhead swimming right here and Kazi's like, all right, if one comes up, you know, behind me, just say, on your six. And we're like, okay, on your six. And he's like, oh, all right. He turns. And he's literally just a foot away from these sharks and three feet of water filming them, like huge sharks. And he's, he's on another level. But there was a couple times in the water when even he is like, he felt time to get me on the boat. Like, they're fired up.
Starting point is 01:05:04 When Jake shot that one, those sharks came and nipping at his fin. ends. Yeah. Yeah. He was like, it's time to get out of the water. That was the closest we were to like disaster. Jake,
Starting point is 01:05:12 it literally was chasing. Yeah, Jake almost got bit. Yeah. Like legitimately. So this ends really fun. This ends really dangerous. Where were we? We were to live in on the like 75% towards really dangerous.
Starting point is 01:05:23 Yeah, I was to say this. My biggest fear before going into this. And even in the lobster diving video is sharks. It was sharks. Like for some reason the ocean and sharks freaked me out. So going into it, I was like, gosh, dude, this is going to be.
Starting point is 01:05:35 Hold on. Oh, yeah. Stiff arming? A stinger hand? Yeah. He also bought a shark band for every limb. I did. I didn't actually they sent them and I didn't even.
Starting point is 01:05:44 What's a shark man? It's supposed to keep them. Electromagnetic waves that push sharks away from here. That's placebo, but I love it. I'd be wearing them all over me, dude. I went for each limb. They do not work. They did have to use it.
Starting point is 01:05:57 Yeah. They went to let them put them on. They're like, dude, we're not doing this. I'm like, I heard you have shark mans. You're not wearing those. And I was like, all right. I would have warned him, dude. But I'm terrified of sharks, and I, like, once I got out there with them,
Starting point is 01:06:10 isn't that the thing that killed all Steve? Yeah. You're just feeding them and you can get zapped in the heart? Well, yeah, that's if you're swimming in over the top of them. I would have thrown the right-handed. Is that the one? That was the actual one? Not the actual one.
Starting point is 01:06:23 You took Steve, man. Dude, it could have been. That could have been, dude. It's amazing. Like, guys that are, like, Jack and Ryan and Jake that, like, do this at a professional level, even just being. on top of the water and like when we would see a big fish, it's like deer hunting or elk hunting. Like you get excited and your heart rate starts going up and then your breath hold just like
Starting point is 01:06:46 plummets. And so even like, oh big fish, get over here, get over here. Like I'd look at my watch and my heart rate just shoots up to like 90. What are you all doing here? Clean con. Clean and con. Cong. Cling, raw conk. You guys ever have thoughts like this like because I was just at, you know, just the locals are so insane to me. Because like, would you ever just be like, go catch a conk and be like yeah dude what's in here i'm i'll eat it yeah dude like there was a there was a guy out there that it was the first person to ever eat a conk yeah and when you first see a conk you're like that's not out of that you know what i mean like that that's so crazy that like people are just like that dude when you're out there you'll eat anything i think yeah i mean you're
Starting point is 01:07:25 on the middle of nowhere i'd like a crispy rice with a nice piece of tuna on it myself we had cereal mackle we had sushi on the boat yeah that was great No crispy rice, but... My man, the crispy rice just slaps. It does set it off. It does. Yeah, no, we were walking around the entire island, and literally everyone, all the kids were, like, coming out, poking their heads out of their houses, and everyone's starting
Starting point is 01:07:49 to wave him. He's definitely like Santa Claus walking around. That's the running joke now. Wherever we go, he's, that's Santa Claus, literally. Well, YouTube's everywhere. YouTube's everywhere, and they watch. You're in the Bahamas. That's good.
Starting point is 01:08:00 The people of the Bahamas are watching D.P.O. Yeah, that's great. Yeah. Join the party while you can. And then, uh, we had a couple of instance. incident's right what happened uh... Kenney boy I will say hey
Starting point is 01:08:10 Ken called me before we came on here and he literally the first thing said it was he's like what are you doing I was like we're about going on the podcast he's like all right well don't like no need to talk about my shoulder or anything like that so just don't talk about me so he's like a little I also got a message with a singer he's not a fan he's not a fan and we're showing all this stuff
Starting point is 01:08:29 oh dude he did it so hard I got to see that one more time The best noise that y'all couldn't hear. Almost athlete moment. Oh, it's a slipper? It's fine, dude. Ken, I got the camera and everything. Save the camera, though. Save the camera. The camera. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:08:45 The camera was insane. And I wish the video you could hear on the video, but his hand going across the glass. Oh, yeah. He dislocated his shoulder. Oh, yeah. Oh, he's like in place. He actually, no, he fully dislocated it. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:08:59 Yeah. He was in a bad way. He's about to pop it back in. No, I'd rather not. It's not bad. It's not bad. It's not bad. Jake's like, dude, I don't know how to do it, but I'll try.
Starting point is 01:09:09 Mate, let me, let me just get you there. Yeah, there you go. Little lift. A little snapcrackle pop back into place. Kid's a tough dude, though. Oh, no doubt. And not shown on video. He almost got eaten by a shark.
Starting point is 01:09:19 Yes, he did. I forgot about that one. Yeah. Yeah, okay, so you're saying all these different things that are crazy. How much do y'all fill in or hold back from the wives before? You all keep you pretty surface. Look, because if you're telling me that you're going to, you know, go face-to-favor sharks. You know, the video form, dude.
Starting point is 01:09:36 I don't think I knew. The danger? Like, yeah. Because I haven't had like no spearfishing, like ideas in my head. I've never like had a huge desire to go try it. And then now it's literally like one of my favorite hobbies. Like I cannot wait to go back and do it. So I didn't even have like a thought of like how dangerous.
Starting point is 01:09:56 I did. I had a thought. I looked it up. I didn't realize it was a shark capital world until we got there. Too, shark capital of the world. Yeah. There's only one of those. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:10:03 You know? It's not as bad. just like anything, though. I mean, you can push it as much as you want. So would you rather be yourself down spearfishing with the sharks underwater, or would you rather be Graham in an inner tube dangling? Oh, my gosher. I would much rather have it the worst by far.
Starting point is 01:10:19 Graham doing what? Graham was in an inner tube on top with a camera. So he couldn't see below. And dude, I'm not kidding. These sharks are swimming like right up to our feet into our faces like. Bite it, bite the feet. Yeah, like Graham had it the worst. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:10:31 Look how close they were to our feet right there. There was one part in the video. Like most of the sharks. What kind of shark was that? That was a reef shark. And they say the reef sharks are actually the ones that you have to worry about. They're like, Tiger Shark. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:10:42 Absolutely oblivious that there's 10 sharks. He's like in a swimming pool. Just has no idea. And it has no legs anymore. Yeah. Bull sharks are pretty aggressive. But the tiger sharks are like pretty smart. They like won't really mess with you unless they get really riled up.
Starting point is 01:10:56 The reef sharks like they'll mistake you for a fish. Like and just coming by your leg. Which is what happened with Jake. He had shot his fish. He knew there was a bleeding fish on a pole. and he you know Jake is swimming up as fast as he can and the sharks just like following him
Starting point is 01:11:09 trying to find the fish and he is literally on his fins like trying to bite at him No thank you that was most the sharks were swimming like if we're in 25 feet of water they're kind of just hovering the bottoms but then when we got into this scene
Starting point is 01:11:23 and they all started rising up and they're like all getting eye level that's when like Kazi and all of our guys like Jack and Grant they're like all right they're getting a little high when they're high eye level with you they get a little more aggressive. Ooh.
Starting point is 01:11:37 I think this is when Jake shoots his one and then the shark comes after him. I mean, this was crazy. So, like, this is what I'm saying. So Jake was at 30 feet. We knew the sharks were already here. So you see the shark there? He shoots it.
Starting point is 01:11:48 And he's like, I got to go, dude. I got to go. And then here comes out of nowhere, the two reef sharks. Oh, baby. Oh. Oh, he's like, oh, hey, where's that fish at? And then it's slapping on top of the water,
Starting point is 01:11:59 which is not ideal. And the sharks like, I know there's a fish here, dude. Where's he at? So he puts the fish back in the water. Well, you just don't want the fish close to you if they're really trying to go for it. Makes sense. You just keep it out away from you. So worst case scenario.
Starting point is 01:12:14 Too many thoughts, man. Yeah. It's like running a zone defense in football. Find the whole. Yeah. Just too much, man to man. Man to man, it's easier. Give me a guide guard.
Starting point is 01:12:24 That's what I asked, dude. I asked Ryan, like the first question I asked is like, what do I put in first? My body or the fish? And he's like, always the fish. We want to make sure the fish is secure. I was like, okay, yeah, forget my body. Right. We want to make sure the fish gets eaten by the locals.
Starting point is 01:12:38 Crazy. Well, hey. No shark bites. No, not this year. I mean, we're going back. There's always next year. Yeah, always next year. We're going back for sure.
Starting point is 01:12:47 Yeah, I think Sparky goes on this next one. That'd be awesome. Yeah. Yeah, you've been looking for a video, dude. I have been. I think this is yours? I think more like a seahorse collector guy. I do like seahorses.
Starting point is 01:12:57 I mean, see any seahorses. No, we didn't. I do sea turtles? Big sea turtles. Let's do a breath holding game. It's called ping pong chopstick transfer. Wow. What does this have to do with my breath hold?
Starting point is 01:13:09 Couldn't make an easier name for it. Okay, boys, here's how this game works. Each competitor has two bowls, one empty, one filled with ping pong balls. At the start of the game, each competitor must hold their breath. And using chopsticks, they transfer as many ping pong balls from the full bowl to the empty bowl. You got to be in a hurry, but not too quick. Whoever can hold their breath the longest will give them an extreme advantage. It's ping pong chopstick transfer.
Starting point is 01:13:32 And it starts. In three, two, one. Okay. Oxygen. Now, gone. Tyler, he's already got a full roll of sushi. I mean, Josh over here can't pick up a ping pong ball. It's over.
Starting point is 01:14:00 Poor kid. It's funny how when oxygen just leaves your body, how hard things can get in life. Oh, and you hate the Tyler with a substantial lead. Poor Josh is just not a... Oh, no, that's my fault. I made him laugh. That you should see your brother with the chop sticks.
Starting point is 01:14:18 You're still going to beat Josh. You're still going to beat Josh. It doesn't matter. Josh could have had another minute and he can't pick up a ball. That was atrocious. I had so much more breath left too. I think we could get two minerals in
Starting point is 01:14:32 while Ty's still going. I had two minutes of breath. Yeah. I mean, I was cooking. And I'm too easy to make laugh. That's not even fair. Speaking of cooking, look at this guy. I need to run it back.
Starting point is 01:14:43 I need no commentary. I'm embarrassed. That's bad. You actually did bad. I at least got to get him out. I couldn't pick one out. I was cooking there for a side. Can he do it?
Starting point is 01:14:56 He's going to do it. This guy's an animal. I couldn't. Oh, he's losing it right now. He's losing focus. He is getting shaky. Jared, I was practicing way better than this. He's getting shaky.
Starting point is 01:15:05 Oh. His oxygen levels on E. He's got it. Oh, baby. Stop. Stop it. Stop it. Dude.
Starting point is 01:15:19 I need a request of no commentary. No, dude, that's the podcast, bro. You can't request a shark coming up to you when you're underwater. Dude. You do get a little shaky. Yeah, dude. Oh, that's so frustrating. I'm embarrassed.
Starting point is 01:15:32 Tye's been around y'all too long to not laugh. Like, we're still relatively new. You are still funny to me. Wow. Oh, that was incredible team. I got work to do if I want to go on a deep sea fishing spear fishing trip. I know before he was a better pole spearing than I am picking up ping pong balls with chopsticks. There's a comment that I think encapsulates what you're trying to conquer with the DPO.
Starting point is 01:15:51 Tell me if I'm right. This guy says, I'm not one who usually comments on YouTube videos, but this channel already means so much to me. I outgrewed the main channel a bit, but seeing this pop up on my recommendations has been a blessing. I've enjoyed every single upload, and I couldn't thank you all enough for bringing all of us along. for the crazy adventures. I love it. Safe to say that's what we're trying to accomplish. Absolutely.
Starting point is 01:16:12 Yeah. Get the next generation into it. And then the people that grew up with us 17 years ago that are looking for something new. Yeah, 100% bring them right back in. So now that our spear fishing conquest has been checked, what else should we see coming down the line for DPO? We are. We're, uh, camel races in Egypt. I would actually be kind of sad.
Starting point is 01:16:32 It's real. That's not going to get that one. It was not going on about the lack of anybody. Yeah. That was real. Hang on, what? I'm not opposed to that. I do, I have always wanted to go to Egypt.
Starting point is 01:16:42 We are not going to Egypt next. We are headed to Mexico for some mule deer, spot and stock archery, mule deer hunt in Mexico. Headed back down to South Texas in December. We're going to make some knives with our Montana Knife boys. We've got to get our very own knives. Garrett and his son, Alaska fly fishing. Kobe is going mountain climbing, rock climbing with Tim.
Starting point is 01:17:05 Yeah, we got a bro trip. coming out. Yeah. He's worried about it. Hey J. Brothers. Go show a love. Go show some love.
Starting point is 01:17:13 Ties in it. Tyler's in it. And then we just got back from Africa with our dads, which was a great trip. So we got some, we got some bangers coming. Yeah, that's our two minute rant. We're about to rant. I just want to let you know behind closed doors, Kobe. He's worried.
Starting point is 01:17:26 You need to boost his confidence. About rock climbing? Really? Really? I worried about it was just a one-off about how risque it is to rock climb. Riskey or risky? Risky. I mean, it could be.
Starting point is 01:17:40 I mean, wear the pants if it's too risque for you, dude. Just wear longer in scenes. Yeah. Just go to the 80s. Yeah. It sounds like it's getting more intense, too. Is it? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:17:51 Ken's adding some stuff. A thousand feet of climbing now in Colorado. That's what it was. Is that what it was? Yeah. Well, what are we going to go do, climb the Chucky Chief? What are we doing? I wish I could help him.
Starting point is 01:18:04 I have no experience in rock climbing. I don't think COVID. Toby does either. Yeah. He'll be okay. I told him if he falls off a mountain, it's good content. Yeah. Look at it that way.
Starting point is 01:18:13 He has a twin. That's the softest whistle up. Do it with a little backbone to you. There we go. That was a personal foul. Anybody got to rant today? Anything they just want to go off on? I mean, y'all discussed it, I think, on the pot earlier.
Starting point is 01:18:25 But I think it's an absolute atrocy. Atrocity. Atrosity. Risk. Atwasity. That the Houston Astros are hosting a wildcar playoff series this weekend. Everyone knows. We don't like Houston.
Starting point is 01:18:37 New York Yankees had the second best record and they got to go against the Red Sox. I think it just... You wanted it to go against the White Sox. They've got to figure out NBA payoff system. Perfect. You got AL, NL, best records, top to bottom. I like it. Duke it out there.
Starting point is 01:18:53 I've got a small one. Just kind of perturbed. Okay. Cowboys. Just a little upset. Yeah, the Cowboys. I've got a long list if you want me to go down that road. Don't know y'all ever leave me with Twins and Jones.
Starting point is 01:19:05 Oh. Filming ever again. I didn't know I missed y'all until I was hanging out with only those three. I needed Garrett and Tyler so bad on that trip. I'm fairly confident of myself. I knew that was going to happen. No, you're wrong.
Starting point is 01:19:18 I enjoyed my time. That was the fight scene. Yeah. What happened? Why? Why? I left. I went to Punta and left these guys to go film a fight scene.
Starting point is 01:19:25 No, no, I know. Y'all weren't there. Why? No, not as fun? The one cool thing about the guys is how much they balance each other out. But when you're only getting twinified and Cody, the seesaw just and I was looking for the balance. There was no balance and I was losing my cool.
Starting point is 01:19:44 You realize how much they do until they're gone. That's my rant. That's all. That's it. Yeah, hopefully there's no more of that. But I might be gone, again, I got high hopes for this DPO channel. I might be gone for a whole year filming a bit. I got something cooking, man.
Starting point is 01:19:58 Yeah. Yeah, I didn't realize how loud Cody was until he was in Africa with us. Yeah. He was a loud guy. Cody, yeah, Cody's also, he's become so main channel. Oh, dude, that was so funny. We're like, us and the dads are like, it's like this really cool moment. Like Josh gets his Cape Buffalo on the last day.
Starting point is 01:20:18 Nobody thought it was going to happen. We all bail on our hunts because we're like, dude, we want to go be with him like to recover this buffalo. And Cody says the blonde. No, no, no. So we're like, dude, we're going to find him. Like we go meet up with him. We go find his buffalo, like really special moment. we all get over there, like, take a photo, and, like, all the dads are there, we're there.
Starting point is 01:20:38 Like, Cody comes in the pick, and they're like, okay, one, two, three. And Cody's like, yeah! Like, closing for the picture. And we're all like, and, you can just, you can just smile and, like, we're good. Like, just, you know, be happy to be here. But he immediately fistpump, like, mouth open, like, just goes full main channel energy. His first animal, he got was a cute dude. He sends a picture, and he's like, next to the cute one.
Starting point is 01:21:03 It's a little different vibe here, but, you know, we're working on it. Cody Will Jones, is the say. And we've seen that on the DP gaming side of things, too. For those wondering, yes, we do have a new season of DPU coming your way. And DPO, go check out the new spearfishing video. If you haven't already, it's a dandy. Looks like our time's up for this episode. If you like this, vid, be sure to check out Corey's smell test right here.
Starting point is 01:21:25 We'll be back as always next Wednesday with an all-new web. Until next time, almost athletes, pound it. Noggin. See ya. Wave.
