I hate that you had to do that, but I'm happy for it. You know what? It's fine. And, you know, I didn't want to take, the book deserved more of this following. Sure, sure. I'm super old this year, only getting older. How old here? It doesn't matter.

No, it's a learn trait. How? What was your secret to get into it? It's kind of like my coffee obsession. It's an acquired taste. Really have to go through the slop at first. See, I loved Harry Potter books reading them. Couldn't wait for the next one.

And then I haven't found a book like that since. So some people might say Red Rising you should get into because that's kind of like, you know, the sci-fi keeps you coming back for more. Okay. Yeah. So that's enough about books. Sparks, what do we got coming up?

But let's jump in first with Mother's Day. How was your Mother's Day, boys? Well, I do not like the full pause. What did you do? What did you do? You messed up. I saw you went to Taco Koss. We went to Taco Koss. We went to Taco Koss for a league. We were at the ranch. We've been trying to get Colton a turkey. And thankfully, All of the holidays in our family, we don't really. Birthdays, Valentine's, Mother's Day. We just kind of, it is what it is.

So I was turkey hunting with Colton on Mother's Day. We went to Taco Casa for lunch. Bethany came up there. We had no power at the house because the storms knocked it out. So she called Grayson Callan Electric and got it back. And then we went home and had mac and cheese for dinner. So I thought it was great Mother's Day. Bethany may think differently, but, you know, DoorDash some flowers to the house for her when she got home,

which I thought was kind of nice. I don't think maybe she was hoping for maybe a little bit more than DoorDash Flowers. But, you know, what's a bigger deal? Valentine's or Mother's Day? I think Mom's Day. Doesn't it have to be? You know, I don't want to offend any of the, you know, non-moms out there. There's a lot of them.

So Valentine's Day's their thing. But I would say Mother's Day holds more weight. More specific. Well, and then it's like you don't, I don't ever know what to do. Is Mother's Day for my mom or is it for Bethany? That is the tough one. I get so confused. And then it's like, well, if you don't post something, you clearly hate your mom.

So then it's like you feel like you got to post something. It's like, what do I say on an Instagram post? It doesn't feel like you can even say enough for your mom. What do you call? You call. You had a typo. You had a typo? Yeah.

Go look at your story. You had a typo. What? It was bothering me. I think it's your second one about your actual mother. Oh, gosh. You definitely hate her, dude. That's the vibe.

It's like, well, go, I'll leave. You don't post. You hate your mom. What a weird place to be. You were door dashing flowers, but via Instagram stories, Christ, I was. I'm terrible at this stuff, dude. Dude, you know what I thought was crazy?

Is Garrett, I check his Instagram. I'm like, hang on, I know this place. That's on Maine. This guy went to dad jokes on Mother's Day is like, what a power. move with Kristen? Kristen? My mom.

Oh, oh, you took everybody there. Okay, that's fine. Took everyone there. Is it though? We went to Taco Casa, dude.

I mean, it was great there. Actually, that was Saturday. We celebrated that Saturday. Oh, you posted a day late. Sunday, dude, it was a nasty weather, man.

Yeah, it was. It was. Gosh, we needed the rain, though. We did. We did. We did, so Kristen actually just kind of laid in bed all day and did her thing.

And me and the boys and Iris just played a lot of Astrobot. I thought I know we're golfing. It got rained out. Oh, that's right. We were going to. That's right. What do you call Bethany?

Do you call her in front of the kids? Do you say, mom? No. You know? Yeah, I think sometimes. See, I always call Kristen mom because that's what my kids call her. Yeah, I think I do that. My mom's in there.

It's very confusing because I'm like, hey, mom. She thinks I'm talking to my actual mom, but it's Kristen and. So many conundrums. I got to come up and get a new name for Kristen. It can't be mom. My mom had that name first. I go babe a lot. Babe?

Yeah. I go wifey. Well, yeah. That's what I would do. Theoretically. Theoretically. I know I wouldn't take her to Taco Casa on Mom's Day. Well, dude, we're almost 15 years into this thing.

Sure. So, you know. That was her. That was Bethany inspired? She wanted to go to the new Mexican food place in Whitesboro, Mr. Jose's. But it was a 30-minute wait, and we were not, we're not a big, like, weight family. Well, you guys could be. I don't think your boys are a big weight family.

Maybe that's what it is. Taco Casa was just four minutes further. Like, dude, you get a chalotta and two tacos and some of that Taco Casa hot sauce and it just... I think you can make an argument that your kids are going to remember that mom's day. Would they remember going to the country club? No. I don't think so. They're going to be like, dad took mom to Taco Cops one day for Mother's Day.

You know, you can make a case and they might actually remember that one. Yeah. No, we're about making memories, you know. And about dash and flas and flas and stuff. flowers. My flower delivery got delivered to the wrong house. Oh, so you did the same thing. I didn't door dash him? What's the difference? You still had somebody else bring the flowers? Oh, 100%. I don't have time to go pick those up. That's what I'm saying. And they delivered them to the wrong house. Dude, did you have to go get them? No, literally I have no idea. Somebody just stole the

flowers. You never even got them. So hey, if you're listening to this, happy mom's day, whoever got that. Wow. From Garrett, straight to you. Somebody's like, it's a gift from the Lord, dude. I forgot flowers. Me and my kids love you. You know, that's what it said on the car. so uh... Wow. I hope you enjoyed those flowers. Is this what you told Kristen? Well, yeah, I told her that I got her flowers.

It's the kind of sounds like a dog ate my homework. Yeah, they just got delivered. No, no, I have the receipt and everything, but I will show you guys. You get the picture of their house where it got delivered? No, didn't even send me a picture. That's why you door dashed him. I'll send you a photo. I already called and complained and, you know, they're going to make it up to me, or so they say.

Like, great, tell that to my wife. Like next Mother's Day or what? So I always like, I can, you know, you guys can zoom in on this. Kristen, she was in here last week. She talked about being sentimental. Yeah, she's a sentimental person. So I always hand-draw cards. So if you, uh, if you zoom into that, sucker, I can, you know, it's fine.

Took me a couple, a little bit of time, but, you know. A couple of what? It's fine. A couple hours. Yeah, no, it's, it's the thought to count. So, you know, I always, I did at least get her that. So she has that. Nice.

Nice. But no flowers. I'm proud of you, dude. Yeah. You got a little Picasso in you. You look like Picasso, too. There was also some good sports on this weekend. There was, man.

Did you watch a ton? I didn't. I did watch the Knicks. The only reason I watched the Knicks was a selfish watch. I'm going to New York tomorrow, and game five was supposed to be in New York. No game five, though. They got swept.

I didn't even think of that. The whole NYC trip. We were going to go. Man. Yeah, I was cheered from you. I was cheering for the 76ers to get one so we can go watch New York, finish it up. But I guess, uh, you're gonna have to find something else to do.

We gotta go to dinner with Jackson's girlfriend. No way. Yeah, for real. That's a real thing? That's what you're doing instead? Yeah. My goal is to break them up. If they can get through that, I think they're meant to be together.

But if I can break them up by the end of it, it was never going to work. Wow. Dinner with Jackson's girl. Is Jackson going to be there? Yeah, Jackson's going to be there. Yeah, I was about saying. Yeah, it was going to be weird if we're just about and her. No, no, no, no.

Yeah, I'm not going to be there. It's always tough with the T. Ty's going to be in Tennessee and going to be in Nashville. Nashville's right. Other than that, the Lakers are about to get swept and, you know, now we've got to still listen to the kiddo saying LeBron's the greatest of all time. I don't think he is. Yeah, that whole argument took a bump in the road,

huh? Really, the whole second round of the playoffs is just not as fun as the first. We got treated really well there in the first with a lot of. a deep series and now everything's looking sweepy. I guess our last hope really is the San Antonio Minnesota series. Let's talk about it. Let's talk about it. San Antonio is playing Minnesota second quarter

around the 830 mark. Wimby lost his ever-loving mind. And straight up elbowed a dude right in the throat. He get a tech. He got a flagrant two. He got a flagrant two. Which was so funny when he's sitting on the bench and he's like, what does that mean?

Yeah, I don't think. I think he really was fully understood the role. And the guy was like, here, Jeff, year, his team, yeah, Harrison Barnes was like, oh,

they kicked you out. Here it is, Tyler. Here it is, Ty. This is some premeditated bow. This is crazy, dude. Oh, he even looked for him.

But he did, I will say, he saw it and he thought, yeah, I'm going to do it. Yeah, I kind of feel bad, but I'm still going to do it. Correct.

There's absolutely intent there. There's load up there. Okay. What I think I give him a pass for is Wimby doesn't know that Nause Reed is closing the space. And by the time he's throwing

They're right at him. Look, I, call me soft, whatever. That is a ridiculous. He should be suspended for game five. Like 1,000 percent. Where do you stand on this, Tyler? Suspension or no suspension. Apple.

I mean, dude, if he's a little bit higher, that's a knockout. I think ejected from the game is fine. Basketball's gotten a little soft too. It has, but I mean, in today's day and age, it probably should be a suspension. But if I'm Minnesota, I'm not happy. that. To be fair, in my youth, there were a lot less egregious things that got people suspended. I can remember Jerry Stackhouse, Joe Johnson, he got a suspension for that, and it was incidental. I got ejected for games for-frakept. I got ejected for games for far less.

That is a flying elbow right to the throat region. And he sold it really well, too. Here's what I think is working well for the Spurs in this scenario. Me and Andrew talked about this is the fact that it came so early in the second quarter that you can almost justify that as a game suspension, whereas if it came in the middle of the fourth, you'd feel almost obligated to give him a game on that? I asked him, if you're in Adam Silver's Shoes, what do you do? Andrews said no suspension, which surprised me. Andrew's our CEO.

I think it's a game. I truly do. They compare it to the Meadow World Peace one when he hit Hardin, and he got seven for that. Now, Metal World Peace also tried to completely fight the whole entire city of Detroit once upon a time. There's a reputation involved. And his reputation, Wimby, that is, has been pretty clean. But, man. He didn't truly go for it.

Yeah. So that game was wild. And then we go straight to the NBA draft lottery. Uh, and I just want to give a round of applause for that production team. They do it well, don't they? Unbelievable. What did they do so well? They don't milk it for commercials.

They literally get up there and they rip. through. Here's your draft lottery. Pick 14. 14. Charlotte. Pick 13. Cleveland. I mean, they just rip through it. Wow. No waste in time. No waste in time. And they're like, that's it. We're done. That's it. Wow. And so, congrats there, guys. Mavs got hosed. So, ninth pick for the Maddie's. It hurts because they totally host the system last year. So I have no room to say they got closed. It's like once you land Cooper last year, I didn't expect any lottery. It still, I wanted to get another one. So,

we can go A-Cuff, A-Cuff and and then just run the NBA for Yeah, so Washington wins it. They'll have the number one pick. And all of a sudden, dude, they have Trey Young, Anthony Davis, and the number one pick. I do think it's kind of funny how they put the kids in there now and they kind of get the reaction of like, so you want to go to Washington, you know?

Right, it's tough. DeBonce's got to kind of try to keep a straight face even though deep down inside you like that boy does not want to go to D.C. I actually think Washington's pretty good because they loaded up their team. I'm saying. T. and the number one pick. Like they could be, they could be pretty good.

Yeah. Jazz deserved it. They deserved the number two pick. Yeah, Utah lands down two. They were supposed to get it when we got Cooper, right? A-Cuff, dude. Your boy, he owned him. Ryan Smith.

I feel bad for taking a shot at this team because, you know, we do know the CEO of this team, but no one, I feel like Atlanta got off way too easy for drafting a legit no-nameer, number one. Oh, yeah. No one even talks about it. Is that the worst draft of all time? It's up there with Darko Milichich when he was drafted,

I guess, the pick after Braun. That's brutal. dude. Talking about the lotto though, the one thing I wish they add, and I tell you this pre-show, is like the F-A cup draw, how they actually have the ping pong balls there, would make it feel that much more authentic to the viewer. Yeah, still feels a little fabricated sometimes. But you're talking about like DeBonza's showing emotion, my favorite is the O3 draft, and Jerry West is like the owner for the Memphis Grizzlies, and that was the LeBron draft, and it was down to them in Cleveland and watching his soul get taken from them when they

open up number two instead of number one, it's tough to watch. Yeah. forgot how brutal that was. Yeah, what about NHL playoffs? Our stars are gone. I'm still tapped in, but man,

it is hard. Because hurricanes still haven't lost a game. Finally, Colorado lost. Wilde did get them on Saturday. Yeah, was that game three or four?

That was game three. Right, so it's two to one. Two to one. So Wild could tie the series. So nobody is won on another person's home ice in that series. No, but hurricanes literally eight no.

That's crazy. Okay, let me give you this hypothetical. Who is more likely to run the gauntlet. And the NBA, the best record to ever win a title, I think was 14-1 by the Lakers, Dynasty Lakers with Kobe and Shaq.

Are Oklahoma City more likely to run the table and shoot their way to a title? Or the hurricanes in the California. Oklahoma City. It's so much, it's not easy. It's so hard to do in hockey. Yeah. So hard.

Are you saying that because hockey has like more kind of built-in luck factor to it? Yeah, there's just so many, so many goals that go in that you can do nothing about. off a skate or a double defleck. It's just a brutal. Whereas basketball, you almost kind of control your team's destiny a little more.

Yeah, it's like if you're the better team, I feel like you've got a better chance of winning. That's not necessarily the case in the NHL playoffs, I feel like. Especially if Minnesota wins that series. I think Oklahoma City sweeps them. I know. So they could get to the NBA finals with a 12-0 record would be... Crazy.

That would be mind-blowing. Would that be more impressive than the Warriors doing their 73 and 9 season? Dude, actually, I would say this. If Minnesota wins, Oklahoma City will not lose a game, They'll sweep New York too in the finals. That'd be incredible. I think that would be one of the best team accomplishments in sport of all time. I think they went 16 and O in the postseason.

They're going to get blasted and they're the heavy favorites, I think, coming out. You think New York is blasted by who? East Finals? Any of the West. Any of the West. Like literally any of the West. See, I thought the same thing last year though, and Indy made that an incredible series.

Took it all the way to 7 and then if Halliburton keeps his Achilles inside his leg, then I think they might win that game. Poor Achilles, dude. It's tough not having your Achilles inside your leg. So that's the recap on. sports. And mom's day. And moms day.

Like I practice and practice and practice W.WE, the reason I'm so good at what I do is because I put in the work. People don't see the work that you put in. They just see the finished product out there in WW and look at it and go, oh, that's probably easy. Oh, they're probably not tired. Those ring ropes don't hurt. And then they get in the ring and they go, oh, I quit. That floor's kind of hard. Yeah, this isn't, this isn't for me.

I mean, we've had football players, basketball players, wrestlers, every type of person come in and try to do what we do. And they realize quickly that it's a lot different than it is on TV. Yeah. No doubt. I imagine what you guys do is a lot different than what you guys put out there. Or is it the same? I don't think it takes as quite of a unique breed to do what we do as y'all do. But yeah, there's something to the fact that behind the scenes, you know, there's some grueling trick shots or some grueling battles.

It's been not fun stuff that people don't see like you're talking about training. final product. The meetings and the planning and getting the props and all that stuff. Like 100% best job in the world. How much planning goes into what we're about to do? I mean, this has been in the works for, oh yeah, months. Three months they've been planning this one out, getting props and all that stuff ready. And how many people do you have working on this game?

This specifically, there's probably with art and production, it's probably 30 people. Yeah, I was going to say 40. 30 people working on this for hour? Would it be 30 minutes, hour? Like per day? No, for the, for the show. Oh, it'll be, yeah, it'll be 15 to 20 minutes for a 15 to 20 minute production. You have 30 people working on it. Wow.

For months of the time. I'm honored. Yeah. I'm truly honored to be here. More people than minutes. We're honored to have you guys. I know how hard YouTube is. Like, Instagram, TikTok, social media, simple.

Yeah. I'll get millions of people watching. I have Ms. Golf on YouTube. Yep. Let me tell you how hard it is to get people, especially when you're like a WWE Superstar, like I want to watch you wrestle, Ms. I don't want you to play crappy golf. I don't want to see you get better at golf.

Oh, man. It's especially now, I mean, 17 years ago when we started, YouTube was two years old. Nobody was doing it full time. There was no playbook. No, hey, this is how you do it if you want to be a creator and make a living doing it. But I think it is cool that a lot of people, you guys and I feel like us get lumped into a lot of conversations when people talk about, hey, here are some sports entities, however you want to label us, that have had success on

YouTube. And you look at WWEs, how many subscribers you guys have on YouTube and the fan base that you guys have, which is astonishing. It's amazing to see just how many people are out there watching you guys and what you're doing. And I feel like people always talk about Dude Perfect in WWE kind of in the same category on the YouTube side. It's just the fan base is so huge. and I think you guys have done a really, really good job of utilizing that platform to give your fans content and all those different types of things.

So props to WWE for doing that as well. Totally. And if you really want to go into it, the first show that was on WWE's YouTube was my tag team partner at the time, John Morrison and myself created a show called The Dirt Sheet where we were like, man, people watch us and they see that we have great matches,

but they don't know who we are. Who's our character? How can we get behind these guys? And John and I were just driving from town to town Because that's what we used to do back then. Friday, Saturday, Sunday, we're live events, non-televised. So we would just drive time to town, four-hour drives. And we just talk.

And me and John created this show called The Dirtcheet, which was kind of like talk soup, like in a little bit of like, Hey, let's have a variety show, a little bit of SNL. Let make people laugh, but like just make fun of WW superstars. WMUpers do not like that too much. So let me tell you, I got us in a lot of trouble. But the higher-ups were like, oh, these guys are taking, an initiative. They're doing something more than just, you know, going on the show and that,

and then I go home and I, that's it. We were putting the extra work in to make sure that the fans knew exactly who we are. And that helped us, propel us to where we were. That brought me to, literally, I split with John, went to Raw and started working John Sina. Wow. The poster child of W.W.E. Wow. Now, I didn't do very well in our first match. But then about a year later, I was in the main event of John Cena, beating him and retaining the WWE championship. That's awesome. With the Rock's help. That's very cool.

All stemmed from some road trips. Especially from a kid that was like, I loved The Rock. The Rock was my favorite superstar. Probably one of the reasons that I wanted to become a WW superstar was The Rock. I remember I went on The Real World. Yeah. I don't know if you guys remember the real world. Yes, might.

But when I was on the real world, I created a character called The Miz. And I remember going home and looking myself in the mirror and the action figure that my castmates got me was the rock. And I was like, what don't want to do with my life? Like, you ever just look in the mirror and try to, and talk to yourself? Maybe I'm odd or not ball or whatever. Every day. Not every year.

I was literally like, what are we going to do now? Like, where do we go to next? And I saw the actual, I was like, I want to be a, I want to be a W, I want to make this WW thing come to life. So I went on the internet and looked for like a independent wrestling school that can teach me the art of professional wrestling. So you didn't have a background in wrestling. No, not at all.

being a fan. No, I was, I played basketball, baseball. I swam a year. I mean, I played a little bit of football, cross-country, everything else besides wrestling. Yeah. I just loved wrestling growing up. As a kid, I loved the ultimate warrior demolition was, and the rockers were like my favorite. And then in the attitude era, Austin and Rock, Dea Generation X, let's go. Yep. And then I never thought I could do it because I was six foot nothing. You know, I was, I wasn't big. Like, I couldn't break 200 pounds. If you, I was trying to eat everything I possibly could, but back then, 18, 19, 20, it's hard to gain weight. Your metabolism is going so fast. Trying, but couldn't do it.

So I was like, oh, that'll never happen. And I saw there was a try out for the real world. So I was like, oh, I'll try out for the real world. 60,000. By the way, back then, back in my day, back in like 99, 2000, like MTV of the real world, MTV was everything. It was everyone watched, like, it was what YouTube is now today. Correct.

You know what I mean? Like, and so MTV was everything. And it was the number one show. And I was like, I'm going to try out for that show. My friends were like, dude, 60,000 people try out. How are you going to stand out? How are you going to do it? I don't know.

But I'm going to try out. I'm going to make it. And I made it. And once I made it, you ever get one of those things, those moments where it was like, wow, like, I can make that. Well, why can I make other things? Yeah. Why can I set myself up for other dreams that I never thought I could do?

I never thought I was built for. Why not try it? So then what did I do? I literally looked it up. I ended up, I didn't have money at the time because I went broke on the real world because you don't really get paid when you're on the real world. And by the way, we've done TV. You fork your credit cards out because you want to live the life. I want to make everyone know, like, I'm in real world back to New York. I'm in New York City. Yeah,

put it on me. Put it on me. Put it on me. I got it in our voice. How much is that going to be right? Yeah. It's so broke. So broke. But then I want a challenge. There's MTV's Real World versus Road Rules Challenge, which by the way, I know how to game. All right, just so you know, I'm ready for today. Okay. But we went on there. I went on there. I I won my first challenge. When I won that first challenge, I won $50,000. I used that $50,000 to what invested myself. I paid for my independent wrestling school.

I paid for rent for like a year in L.A. I had improv classes, acting classes, like, you name it. I was like groundlings, improv Olympics, IOS, Second City, everything. I was trying to, I was thinking of all the tools, what can get me to be the perfect W.W.E. Superstar. And then I was like, well, I'm not built like a W superstar. So I started going to Gold's Gym Venice because I heard that's where the superstars go. I would look at muscle and fitness magazines to try to figure out new workouts to get me bigger. Oh, this works. Okay. Let me try it. But man, I'll tell you what, it took three years. People were like, well, you were on the real

world. They probably just called you. No, they didn't want me. Nobody wanted me. Hollywood didn't want me. I mean, think about it. Like, when you guys were doing the YouTube stuff, I imagine people were looking to YouTube. Oh, yeah. Whatever. Yeah. Now they're like, like, please, do it perfect. Come to our stuff, please. Oh, just take you that. But back then, they treated us like, like, we were nothing. Like we were no talent hacks.

We're nothing, right? Yeah. And but then after three years, WW caught wind and we're like, hey, you know what? We'll let you try out for tough enough, which is you can win a WWE contract. And I was like, you know what? I'll do this because if you let me do this,

I'll prove to you that I belong here and that I can have staying power. Amazing. And so I feel like I worked. And everyone always says, oh, work harder than everybody else, but you don't see the hard work. You don't see the ins and outs of everything, the day-to-day basis of what it is to be successful, not only in what your territory, but our territory in any territory. Kids out there today just think like, oh, it just happens.

It's easy. Like, I came on YouTube. I even bit the bug. I said, oh, YouTube, are you kidding me? I'm a million subscribers. Bryce and DeShambos having a hard time to get a million subscribers in a year. I'll do it in a month. You kidding me?

Man, I can't even get 10,000 subscribers. I'm like, what is going on? It's so hard. It is hard. It is, but it's putting in the work. It's like not having 45 different jobs. I mean, being a W.W. Superstar, being the host of American Gladiators, which, by the way, unreal.

Yeah, we got to talk about that. Because growing up, that was one of my all-time favorite shows as a kid, American Gladiators. We've done tons of battles that have just come from like me watching that show. growing up. I think my all-time favorites were the tennis ball gun having to go from barrier to barrier. They're trying to hit the target. And then the, I forget what it's called, but basically the two trash cans and you're taking a ball and it's football. Powerball. Powerball. I try to go put it in. Well, you know, the assault, you know why they, I'll give you a little secret. And I found this out from our showrunner. Do you know why they did assault? No, but I always wanted

that tennis ball gun so bad. I think we all did. Yeah. The reason they did it was for the injured gladiator because gladiars came, because it's. As much as people, like, it's a sport. Yeah. It is a hard hitting sport. Injuries happen all the time, whether it's NFL, MLB, NBA, happens in American gladiators. So it would allow their favorite gladiator to be involved.

Even if they were on IR for a little bit. Exactly. But man, I'll tell you what, when I got this hosting job, I remember being in the meeting going, we have to do this right. Yeah. We have to, for what I remember as a kid,

it was my favorite. Yeah. WWE and American gladiars were just tied together to me. I just love those those big, like, it's like, wow, they're so larger than life. They're huge. These are like heroes. They're, you know, back in the day, it was like Arnold and Sly, you know, all these guys,

these big, bulking guys. So those were like my guys that were like, oh, man, turbo, nitro, laser, let's go. So now when I went into that meeting, I was like, we have to, because I want the kids to have the same feeling now that we had when we were kids. Yeah, sure. And when I tell you, these gladiators hit harder, they're faster, they're stronger. You want, when you guys lose to us, you will lose to the gladiators. You should take on our American gladiators, and I'm telling you what, you do joust.

Yeah. You do the wall. You have a wall here. You can do the wall. I love that one, too. Chase after you. Yeah, it's crazy. You know what I mean?

Powerball? I mean, you got a football field. We put a little, a couple things in there. I'd take somebody on and some power ball. Oh, man. I'm telling you. And then the contenders, they have such amazing stories. Stories that are heartfelt.

People that quit, you know, competing because something happened in college that cost their entire team a championship. So they quit, they quit competing. They're like, I'm never going to compete again. And then they come to American gladiators and you see the light turn on. That's awesome. You're like, oh, this is what that person was missing. Or a dad is there.

And their dream was to be on American gladders. Now the kid is doing it for their dad. Yeah. It's like, you see these stories. and you're like, it pulls the heartstrings. My co-host knows how to bring the tears. Like she'll ask questions, Roxie Diaz, and I'll be like, man, you're about to make me cry.

Like, with all these questions, and there's bringing out emotion. So it has comedy. It has the athletic ability. It has the drama. It has everything you could possibly want in American Gladdears. On Prime Video did such a phenomenal job in executing everything and making a perfect team.

I love how you mentioned, though, you wanted to do it right. Like, it meant something to you, almost like it would be a disservice to, you know, the show's past and stuff. And that's really cool that you're deep diving into it like that and care so much. But let's go back to the wrestling. Talk about your big break early on in the wrestling scene. What was it that took you from making it, WWE, to making it as we know? The first big break was tough enough. Then I went to developmental territory.

I became the first ever deep south heavyweight champion because it was a brand new territory in Atlanta, Georgia, McDonough, Georgia. But we had a territory brand new there. I became the first ever deep south heavyweight champion. And Paul Heyman was like, okay, you did great in this territory. Let me take you to Louisville now and see how you do. So I went to another, this is developmental, by the way.

This is in WWE. This is us training to try to become into, we start our sign with WW, but it's like our performance center. Right now we have an NXT Performance Center. And I don't know if you guys met Trick and Javon. They are products of our Performance Center. And let me tell you, for them to come into WWE and rise as fast as they have risen is unreal.

So they came up through the program. They came up through, we didn't have the Performance Center back then. It wasn't around. They put in the Performance Center. They have Sean Michaels down there and a ton of talented teachers and coaches that come down there and coach them and bring them up. And now they have a show on the CWNXT where they can actually get a little like, oh, this is how we do it. This is how we get to Smackdown, how we get to Raw, and they make a connection. And usually when you come to SmackDown or

raw, it takes a while for the fans to connect to understand your character. They're already understanding it. Trick and Javan are, I would say, and Oba are like the next big things. Wow. They are doing such superb things. out there. But for me, I had to go to one developmental territory because it was before the NXT. And I went to Louisville. And when I went and when Paul Heyman brought me to Louisville, I was like, I don't understand why they're not connecting the way they did in McDonough. Like McDonald was the ultimate baby face. No one was bigger than me. Then I go into Louisville and it was just it was, it was, it was, it was, it was high as it was. He goes, you want to why? You're a

heel. You're a bad guy. And I'm like, I don't know, man, down to McDonough, Georgia. But it's Paul Heyman, he knows best. So we wrote this promo, and from then on, I became a heel, like a bad guy. And I've been a heel for 20 years in WWA. Little bits and pieces of baby face in there, a good guy, but I'll tell you what, like, ever since that connection. So then I got brought up and I was told out they wanted me to be the Ryan Seacrest of the WWE.

They wanted me to host Smackdown. And I was like, wait a second. I want to put butts in seats, man. Ryan Seekers is like the best host, but I want to be a W superstar. You know, I want to get in the ring. And it's like, yeah, yeah, yeah, you just host. And I was like, well, if they give me a microphone, I can make people hate me so much that they want to see me in the ring.

And so that's just me always spirals, spinning, spinning, spinning, trying to figure out. How do I get it? How do I get it? What do I do? So then after six months, they put me in the ring. Hey, y'all's Kelly Clarkson with Wayfair. Ever order furniture online and wonder what if?

And I had these promos that were cutting them. Like boom, boom, boom, and fans were ready. I was like, we're going to put on five-star match and literally, wow, nothing. Like, literally, like, his feet just like, He kind of like swept dust on me after he walked out. And I was like, that just ruined me. And the producer was like, you're just not ready for a John Cena yet.

You need to go through the wars. And so that year I set out, I was like, all right, I'm going to go through the war, has won the United States champion, won the tag team champion. Had three titles at one point. And then had the money in the bank, which is a briefcase with a contract that you can cash in anytime, anywhere, cash it on Randy Orton, beat him. And then all of a sudden I was the skyrocket. So at that point, did you know, like, I can make it doing this?

Or were you still questioning? No, I'm always questioning. Like my brain, even right now, it's always questioning. It's always going, what can I do more? How can I make this the best I can possibly make? Because I know, like, people come into our business and they pay a lot of money for seats. They want a moment that they can take away for a lifetime, right? That's what we give them.

Like, when they buy a ticket, when you have your live show, when you guys have your live show, you must. Must. And I don't know if you guys, I imagine you do know this, but man, they need. need to leave there and they need to be talking about that moment watching Dude Perfect for the next 20 years. Yeah. Like always like when the kid and the dad and the mom, they need to like have that family moment

that literally they can talk about at the dinner table 20 years from now. That's what that's what we give in live shows in arenas. So that's what our goal is to set out to do each and every time. So each and every time, my mind's always spinning. What's that moment that that kid's gonna take home? What's that moment that family is going to do? And, you know, you always try to make it successful. Sometimes you fail.

You're going to fail a lot. But you're always trying to succeed. I think as a person who doesn't follow WWE as religiously. I'll watch Ms. Golf, though. Thank you, Matt. Thank you, man. Can you give me some tips? Yeah.

Give me some tips for me. But one of the things I appreciate from the outside looking in and something that we struggle with is the longevity of WWE. how it's consistently been at the forefront for so long. And we've had to do some creative things just to always adapt and be... Yeah, coming up with new series, and that's really hard.

Is that something you look at broad scale and you're like, I don't know how it works, but how has the WWE been able to take this and run with it for so long and continue to expand the empire? I look at it as a well-oiled machine. Now, some of our fans might say, oh, they're doing this.

Like, they're always thinking 10 steps ahead. So it's our storylines. It's our superstars. Mostly, it's our fans. And the connection they have with the superstars, whether they hate me or love, like a Seth Rawlins or a Cody Rhodes, you know, there's always... Investment.

We're always stepping up. Always kind of bringing in, like, my job right now as a WWE superstar is to make sure, than when new people come into WWE, like it's a gimmick that I'm a locker room leader, but literally I take it very seriously. It might be like, yeah, master inspires, zone in, Ms. Method, I'm the locker room leader,

but I want to make sure that when the new guys come up, that they are successful in everything they can possibly do. That is our job to make sure they're successful because, and to make them feel as comfortable as possible because when a person's comfortable, very comfortable coming in, because I wasn't. I was like,

I was thrown out of the locker room. I was not wanted because everyone was like, he's from the real world, he just wants another 15 minutes of fame. They didn't understand how much I loved and adored this business as a child. They didn't care. Yeah. They were just like, get this guy out of here.

I don't want anyone to ever feel that coming into WWE. I want that best possible performance ever, and I think everyone's on the same boat. Our locker room has literally mended together and is probably the best locker room I've seen. You know, we play, sit there in video games, we talk to one another. We will observe each other's matches, give tips, give everything. So we're always working together from production standpoint, from the writers. You can watch on Unreal on Netflix right now. Literally, they're showing you the insights of what it is.

And a lot of old-timers hate that show. I love it because it shows exactly how hard it is to be in WWE. Yeah. Every single person counts, whether you're the microphone person or lighting or cameras, everything matters. Every person that works for WWE matters. And so we all are trying to put forth the best product that we possibly can on television. Yeah.

I think there's a quality, too, that we're figuring out as we are 17 years into this. And our team is expanding. You know, we've hired probably 50 people in the last two years trying to grow. this thing beyond obviously just the five guys and what it started as, but creating the dude perfect brand, what does that look like in 15 years when we're not sitting here on this couch doing this anymore? And I think one thing that, like you mentioned, being a product of the brand and being able to hire people who genuinely care and grew up and were fans of WW, who looked up to those guys, when you're able to bring on people that grew up as fans of the brand and as products

of the brand who genuinely care about it, now you're not just hiring somebody who's collecting a paycheck, but you're hiring somebody who cares and loves it so much that they're constantly thinking about, like, how you are, is what can I do to change this? Or it's that intangible quality that doesn't always, it's not easily measured on paper, but being able to basically take that just passion that somebody has, it comes through, whether you realize or not, our editors tell us all the time. Like, when we go back, we do like a year in review basically of all the videos we put out in a year.

And they'll look back and they'll say, hey, here's the videos that perform the best. here's the ones that were like, man, here's the ones that didn't perform that great. And without fail, the videos that performed the best were the ones that we sat down at the beginning of the year when we do our meeting and said, hey, here's the videos that we really, really want to do that we're excited about, that we're passionate about because naturally all of us are thinking about how can we make this better and what can we do to tweak this a little bit.

And there's just an intangible quality when people are truly fans of what they're doing and a passion love that they have for it that comes across that is something that, I don't know how you measure that, but it's felt. scene. And I think that's one thing that WW has done great with these superstars and people like yourself who grew up as fans of it coming into it and just caring so much about the brand. Yeah, I mean, I've, I've loved it ever since I was a kid. And now to sit here and say that I've been at WW superstars for 20 years, have done everything there is to do and I'm not bored. Yeah. Like if anything, the new crop of talent that's coming in, the younger talent that's coming in,

it gives me a whole new lifeline. It gives me a whole new like appreciation like, oh my gosh. like, wow, like what I can do with that character or that character or that person or that person. It's just exciting. Right. Yeah. Chemistry. Like, I've been in workplaces where it's a little toxic. You mentioned, like, the locker rooms is as good as it's ever been.

Here at Dude Perfect, I think that's one thing I tell fans all the time. It's like, what's your favorite part of the gig? Of course, you could say travel, the tour. Quite literally, one of my favorite parts of the gig is everybody in-house is pulling the rope in the same direction, which I didn't realize was so foreign outside. Would you credit WW is the chemistry? How big is chemistry? Walking in here and literally everyone feels like they have a smile on their face.

I don't know if in the back of their head, they're like just doing it for me or whatever, but you can tell like, oh, this is a close group. And that's what it's like in WW. We're traveling everywhere. We don't have an offseason. It's 52 weeks a year. We're traveling all over the world with each other. So we know each other.

We know each other's families. And so that's what it's all about. out and that's how you build chemistry. Yeah, and continuity. Yeah. I feel like there are so many similarities between what you guys doing. I mean, no offseason for us. You're only as good as your last video.

I mean, only as good as your last fight. You're only good as your last match is what we say. And you're just constantly trying to figure out how to reinvent, come up with something new after that long. And same thing. Like with you talk about the new talent that you have coming up and what you can do with them. Like we look at DP outdoors and these new things that we're doing.

It's like just kind of gives you new life or something. Like, yes, there's something I can do a fresh spin on creativity. creativity and everything that I've learned over these 17 years and poured into this now. So I feel like there's so many similarities between the two brands. It's kind of funny to sit back and look at them. You have the WWE thing doesn't work out. Yeah. Hey,

yeah. Dude, perfect golf. Game on. Let's go. I feel like everything. Every time I go on to something, someone always offers me a job.

I just did this, this sports guards memorabilia show. You'd be great. I was like, I was like literally ripping open sports guys. I was like, this is a job. And literally the guy,

the guy was like, yeah, I just bought a Wembe one of one for a million dollars. I looked at him, I went, you're a millionaire? And he's like, and he kind of laughed. And I went, no, he's, and everyone was just like, like, not just a millionaire, a multi-million. To buy a Wembe for one million dollars?

A card? Yeah. A card? I went, I looked around. I went, this. Like, it did not look like this, by the way. It looked like you pasted on the backdrop and stuff like that. And I was like, sports cards.

He's like, you'd make seven figures in this business. I believe it. If you took it seriously, he's like, I'll pay you more than you make it, WWE. And I went, nope. I love what I do. You can't put a price on what, if you love something. Yeah. And you really feel like you're good at something.

And you're still like there and you're still present and you still want to be great. You can't put a price on it. Yeah. Athleticism can be fickle moments in sport. We call ourselves almost athletes. you ever have a moment in your career, a very embarrassing moment, maybe a slip off the top rope, maybe not even wrestling related, that you just had a humbler where you look back and you're like, man, I can't believe I made it after doing something so embarrassing.

If I said no, the fans that watch this right now will find a ton of botches that I have done. And trust me, there are many. We call them botches in the ring where just, you know, there's like, it didn't go well. It didn't go the way I wanted it to. Yes, there are many. Many, many, many, I failed more than I've succeeded. But all my failures have taught me something. Every time I have, like, a match that I believe is bad, I will go back and I will harp on it.

I will study it. I will watch it. A lot of people don't like to watch their matches. I study everything. Look at my footing. Look at what I could have done better. How I could have connected with the audience more. How I could have got them booing me more, cheering that person more.

Like, what could we have done better with the camera shots? Oh, we should have done this. I should have been this way. Yeah, I think of everything. Everything. So, yeah, I'm always thinking. Like a football player watching film. Sure.

Yeah. I've failed a lot. And that's okay. I think the youth needs to know. Yeah. It's okay to fail. It is quite all right to fail. Yeah.

It's the response post to fail. Yes, it's getting back up. Like sometimes my daughters are in jujitsu and they get taken down or something like that and they come to me, you know, a little tear in their eye. And I'm like, listen, this is a part of the game. you're going to get taken down, but what do you do next? You quit or do you get back up and keep going and keep moving forward? And like, it's like that, that, uh, that Rocky and you keep moving forward.

You keep moving forward. Yeah. It's like that's, that's what I always try to let them know. Like we can do, you have two options. You have quitting or working harder so you don't get taken down the next time. Yeah, it's good. Before we, uh, trying to build the work ethic. It's very in this generation, and I don't know if it's just me being like an old like,

They don't work. There are people, but people don't understand work ethic until they're actually working. They're doing something they don't want to do to get to where they need to be. You ever thought about philosophy who write in a book? Oh, you think? I think so, man. You're motivating me. You're going.

But before we play a game and let you go. I feel like you guys are always playing games. I feel like this is going to be a very difficult game. I know we're elite. athletes and we're WW superstars. We're good at everything. We can adapt to any situation. But you guys literally like do these,

these type of games. I am like a talent that like if I practice really hard, I can get really good at something. But if I don't practice, I don't automatically become great at something. You don't inherently. Yeah, yeah. We've got you right where we want you.

This game is just a game of opinion. Yeah, it's a game of opinion. Before we get to that, little birdie told me you're Cleveland Browns fan. I am a Cleveland Browns fan. How hard is that? It's very difficult. It's very difficult.

Your Johnny Mansell didn't do us any favors. That's your fault. You drafted him. But hey, I wanted him too. I was celebrating. And then I went to the first game against Cincinnati and I was on the field and I saw Mansell and I saw everybody else.

And I went, uh-oh. Dude. I thought he plays taller than he is. The moment that I loved was when the untold story was showing his iPad time of watching film was zero after the first season. I was like, Has it watched one video? No.

But I thought we had our franchise quarter in Baker Mayfield. I really did. He had the moxie, the swagger, but just didn't happen. And now we're back in court, QB, limbo. And don't really know, like, this is the first year where I'm looking at it, and I'm going, I'm not going to the Super Bowl. Like, probably every year, even when we've won zero games. You let yourself go there.

I said, we're going to Super Bowl. We're going to do great. This is the first year. First year, I was like, I don't know. And to be honest. If we don't, I'm okay with it. I hope we get last place and we get Arch Manning. Yeah.

I'll take them. I'll take them. Obviously in the back of the Jersey. By the way, I think he'd go back and be like, I'll go to Texas one more year. You think that's a Brownson or a Cleveland thing? I don't know what it is, man. I feel like... I really do feel like if you're a franchise like Cleveland or any franchise,

you're doing the best you possibly can to make sure that your team is successful. Why is it that the New England Patriots get to go to the... Super Bowl every other year. Like, even when they lose Brady, you know, you think, oh, we won't see them for a while. Oh, they're back. Oh, they're back. Incidentally driving. It's like, why do they get to do that?

because he's that good in the ring. Okay. Wow. I like how he played that. See that? I like how he played it on. That's not me. I like the way you went about that.

I went insider baseball. I went Unreal. Okay. Next name. Alistair Black. I haven't had a lot of feuds with Alistair. I've been in the ring maybe like, I think twice or maybe two matches with them. Okay.

So, but in those matches, another person that is technically sound, I think that once he is, he starts really connecting with that audience, like, they're in. ringwork is all there. He has one of those dark, kind of sinister type of characters. Yep. That is in my mind difficult to get over because he's not a guy that's going to be like, hey, you all suck and they all boo you, right? Yeah. He's going to give you a look and you're going to go, whoa, this dude means business. This guy's kind of scary. Right? So since I haven't had too many matches with him, I'm going to give him four. Okay. John Sina. Number one. Oh, quick one. Two, no hesitation. That's what I've been waiting for.

That's why you saved the number one spot. There is no one. And I mean no one that has taught me more in that ring than John Cena. That's awesome. When I first started on live events, wrestling him, he taught me what it was to be a main event superstar. And you might be like, oh, like, when you wrestle a superstar that's either been in the main event and has stayed in the main event for as long as John Cena has, the knowledge

that he has. He can do anything in that ring and play with the audience. He knows exactly what to do to get an audience of it. The audience is absolutely dead. And by the way, you go in cities and sometimes you're like, I'm always listening to a crowd. He taught me how to listen to an audience and hear them before my match and go, oh, they're dead. Okay, I need to pick them up. And for whatever reason, it might just be like they're tired. It's an afternoon show. Yeah. You know, it's a Sunday and it's like one o'clock in the afternoon or whatever. Or it's just a city. It's just a city. It's just a Just like that guy, he knows how to get them off their seats. Get the juice out of them.

He taught me how to do that. Wow. And so for him to do that for me was, I mean, I needed a John Cena to get me to where I needed to be. And he actually took me under his wing when no one else would. When they're, him and Orton were the two people like back in back in the day that said, no, we'll work this guy and we're going to teach this guy. Him and Orton, man, took me under and literally taught me so much.

about what it is to be in that top spot and the pressure that you're going to have to have to have to withstand. Oh, I like that. Safe to say mentor? Definitely a mentor. Yeah, that's awesome. John's seen in the one spot. Okay, one more name here, Gunther.

Going in the two spot. I mean, rightfully so. Yeah. Rightfully so. All done. He is, his chops hurt so much. He's a big fellow. He's not just a big, he, he knows,

how to make every thing matter, like every punch, every connection, every submission that he puts forth is, he knows how to just put them on to make you encapsulated and make him look dirty and nasty and mean. And he's just so well done. Like as a superstar, like you want a person

to put an entire company behind, give it to Gunther. I'm telling you, I mean, when you like, You guys get to watch. I get to experience people in the ring. So I get to experience a Gunther, a Roman reigns, in AJ Styles, a John Sina. No one will ever wrestle John Sina ever again. He is retired. I have gotten the experience.

So now I have to pay it forward to hopefully to the next generation to show what I have learned from these exceptional superstars. And hopefully I'll do that correctly. That's awesome. Do it justice. Do your part. I like the no one man's big. than the full operation. I love that train of thought. I think that's, you know, it's a dog-eat-dog world

and kids nowadays think you've got to put somebody down to rise up and it's just not the case. No, not at all. Oh, looks great. We're brand guys, dude. We wrap our brands. Yeah. Well, yeah, we're brand guys. Let's get right into it. Talk a little log cabin. The people want to know.

I want to know, did it take over 100 hours or not? Yeah, absolutely. Of course, this is the main channel's doing it. I'm not taking any blame for this. We started this project long before this was ever a main channel video. So there's a few different ways that you can look at this. I told Chad Terrell, hey, I'm going to build a log cabin out at the ranch for the boys. And he was like, hold on.

Like if you're going to do that, we need to film this. I was like, that's a good idea. We could use it for a DPO video, like document the process. Shouldn't take too long. Obviously, took way longer than any of us ever anticipated. And then we get like halfway through this log. cabin, they're like, dude, I think, you know, there's a, there's a main channel video here where we do this fort battle. Well, we're already 50 hours into this cabin build. And then I forget who does it

in the intro, Kobe or something is like, okay, you got 100 hours to get it done. So look, you can say it was 100 work hours, which I think we were probably pretty close. Yeah. You could say, Kobe misspoke, and he shouldn't have said that. Or you could just say, Kobe, he's a liar. Yeah. And it took longer than 100 hours. So that's where we're at. So either way, it's Kobe's fault. It's Kobe's fault, basically. Or maybe it took 100 hours from when we filmed that intro, which was, that was probably true.

So let me get this straight. The inspo behind you doing the log cabin wasn't for initially for film. No, I was just doing it. That's insane. I just wanted to build a log cabin. She just woke up one day and we're like, log cabin. That's why you can see in the very beginning of the video where we set up our log depot, there's already cedar bark that shucked.

I went and got a log, cut it down and went and shucked it myself. and I was like, hey, I'm going to go build this log cabin. And then Chad was like, dude, we got to document this whole thing. I think, I think he realized, though, after he got done shucking, he was like, I'm going to need actual grown people to help with this. And so I think that's when he's like, maybe we should do this as a video. I think the video is his idea to get some more manpower. I see.

Yeah, I'm starting to put it together now. You were scheming from the story. We would be like in a meeting and then you would look up and be like, dude, where did the edits go? And they're like, oh, they went to the ranch to Shuck Wood. Yeah. They're shucking. What? Longest part of the process, by far.

That was brutal. Yeah, we got bamboozled. He was like, it's not that bad. It truly turned out insane, though. If you would chuck, would chuck would. So what was the original, like, where did you get the idea to do this? I used to being a good father. I went down at YouTube rabbit hole.

We're in trail, man. It was our favorite game growing up. I've always loved built. I used to build forts all the time. I used to love to dig holes and build forts. I was like Stanley Yelnats before Stanley was even a thing. Did you think you could get to China? I dig in a hole?

I don't know where I thought I was going. I didn't even have a goal. I just wanted to dig the biggest hole that I possibly could. So yeah, like when we grew up in Prosper, there was an empty lot next to us, and I would just get home from school and take a shovel. How hard did you get? I do not dug some big holes for no reason whatsoever,

other than to like put in a good hour of digging a hole and then be like, that's a dang big hole. That's a good hole. I'll do next one tomorrow. Wow. And then, yeah, I built forts like out of sticks, not logs. Yeah. And I don't know.

I just always thought it would be really cool. So I go down this YouTube rabbit hole of guys building log cabins. And I was like, that looks insane. And they, like, turn out pretty good. And they last a really long time. And so when Chad was like, we should film this for a DPO video, I was like, absolutely. And I don't have to shuck all these logs.

I can have help. So that was. That was where it started. I'm glad you decided to keep the log cabin where its original intent was. Unlike that other YouTube channel who decided to move the log cabin halfway through the build. That was crazy. That was crazy. Crazy.

We're not moving this one. No, it's there for life. It's staying. So is anybody going to live in it? Me and Colton have stayed in it. To turkey hunt. Yeah. Yeah.

So we stayed in it that first night after we got it all finished, which was honestly awesome. That was a top tier night. And then me and Colton stayed in it during the turkey hunt. And he wanted to sleep there yesterday night. And I was like, bud,

you have school. We've opened that door. We haven't addressed this yet. There was a camera rolling. I don't think we've talked about this yet. No, we haven't. How did a mouse

it had to have run across my forehead to get to that bag? No. No. You were elevated. Yeah. I love it with me. There was a teeny tiny mouse.

It might be in your mouse. You let a mice get inside. It was on down on my head. got inside, I think maybe up through the floorboard, we haven't sealed the floor all the way on one side. And I think a teeny tiny little, a Stewart middle. The little Stuart Little can get in places like that. I mean, dude, little things like that, they can get in. You would never, I mean, it's crazy.

If that would have ran across your forehead, you would have been screaming like a girl. Yeah. We would have known if it ran across your forehead. Now that you say that, we're, we just got to get into this because, you know, Josh has had a rough go. He's about to have a more rough go. He's had some rough goes and outdoor videos. I mean, you got, you had the Punta Brava trip. I was waiting for this Python video, bro.

You had a Python trip, which is it coming out the next video. So who pulled their way and who didn't? I probably can say Josh was probably the last place guy, but. I'll give him this. He tried at least, you know. I kind of just, like Tyler, obviously, I don't know if he necessarily knew what he was doing when it came to, like, actually building the cabin. Not really.

But he's like definitely handier than me and Josh are. But like, I wasn't about to take the change. chainsaw from Tyler. I wasn't about to be like, hey, give me that drill. You know, he at least was like, so give me the drill. I knew my role. I was just, I was there to lift up heavy things. And then, I wanted to leave my work where I could. And if Ty wants to play seesaw, you play seesaw. He's got to on some shawd. Were there any injuries? I think we, like, multiple times, we almost broke our toes from dropping the log or Josh dropped the door on him and Tyler's for it. Like that first day, you didn't, you didn't see it, but you can hear me say, I think my big toes throbbing.

dropped the whole log on my foot. I thought for sure it was broken. I almost slotted off the roof. Tad almost flew off the roof. Yeah, Cam caught me. Just, I started to slide off the roof and he was on the ladder and just kind of grab my cheeks and help me in place.

Cheek spotter? Yeah, yeah. I'm actually shocked that nobody got hurt. I thought it was an overall good team build. Yeah, would you recommend it for a family counseling session? Like every family should go build a log cabin? No, I think it would cause more fights. It would have a family.

Tell didn't bond through this experience. I think we did. No, we did. I think we trauma bonded. Trauma bond did. Yeah, that's a real thing. At one point, Ty just completely threw out our actual names. What didn't call us by our names.

Yeah. Tap guy, screw guy, log guy. We don't go by our names anymore. We're tape guy and log guy. I thought I was the drill guy. It got a little impersonal for a little bit. You yelled at us at one point. That wasn't on camera.

I did? Yeah. You were holding, it kept pinching the blade and you're like, you gotta lift it up more. I think that actually made the video. He was getting frustrated. No, you yelled at Tim. He starts to just yell at people, dude. Well, I mean, if I saw it right, Tim is the shucking specialist.

Yeah. We brought a man as a foundation specialist, but he knows nothing about foundation. So we just really needed. It sounds like he doesn't know anything about shucking either. Again, when you're making a log cabin, you will take any and every able-bodied person out there. Tyler literally brought Jackson out at one point. That was a mistake. steak. Yeah, it was. It was.

Tyler would keep yelling at me when I was drilling to get my drill upright. It was very... And in the moment it feels upright and then you watch it back, like, well, that is... Yeah. I mean, no one in your shredding that thing. That's fair. But I thought I was...

Your drill posture. I thought I was parallel. How did you feel about that performance? I don't know. We haven't talked to them about it. I've talked about it. What's amazing to me, Tyler, is you just woke up on a random Tuesday, whatever it may have been. Like, I played Lincoln Logs growing up. That was fun. Never have I've gotten up in a morning,

but like, I'm going to build a log cabin today. So for that, man, props. I appreciate it. It was fun. And I think there was a small piece of us

that when it was all done, we were kind of like, I'm going to kind of miss. Well, there was like three phases to it. Literally, that's literally, by the way,

exactly how it went down. Me and Josh get into the office one day, and Tyler was like, hey, let's go. We're going to build a log cabin down at the ranch. We're like, all right.

And so you get there. You're excited. And then you start shucking. You're like, this is going to be brutal. And you're like, you know, excited. It's fun for the first, whatever, it was, 10 days, five days, whatever.

And then you start, like, getting towards the middle. And then you're like, dude, I'm ready for, you're out there every day. You're like, I'm ready for this to be over. And then you get done. And you're like, dang, dude, I'm kind of going to miss that, I think. Well, it's just like a house, man. You can always, you know, do remodels. No plans to sell it, though?

Portches. No plans to sell it. If you were to put it on Facebook marketplace, what are you kind of looking for? That increased the value a lot, you know? I don't, it's not for sale right now. We were, you know, we were talking about it while we were doing the build, and then there was a bunch of comments that were like, Airbnb question mark? I was like, dude, you can make, you can make some.

Yeah, you could definitely Airbnb it out. It'd be cool if you still had your hammer. I gave, I, it wasn't on camera. How did it feel to see that Cody putting that thing in the drink? Yeah. He didn't heard about it. He didn't hear me in the comments. He heard about it.

Yeah, the crooked hammer I would have been okay with. Well, and the crooked hammer would have flubing. my mantle piece hammer he threw the mantel piece yeah oh man how many hours would you say you put into that i'd say it was probably a good six hours it was it was a lot of work so cody stole six hours of your life yeah but it was more than that he stole more than just six hours in my life time that's on a good week he stole my respect he burned six hours he stole some of my goodwill towards him um yeah that one hurt that That one hurt.

Yeah, being the prank guy, it just felt like an unnecessary prank. You know? Hey, it didn't make the video, but I put my Punta brava swimsuit on

and I went in dough for it. He did. That's how bad Josh felt. And then never got back in the water because I came eye to a snake to see watermark. Oh, okay.

Speaking of snakes, we had a little encounter with a snake during construction. Yeah, we had a lot of encounters. For whatever reason, the log cabin plot of land where we decided to put this thing,

the snakes all decided they like that area too. Hey, I'm from that area. You get the moist season like this. So you at scuba diving and underwater ran into a snake or on top of the water. He came on. It was on a floating log. Right in front of that. It was a big boy. Oh, it wasn't even a water moccasins. Well, we're going to say it was. No, it looked like one. Yeah, but it wasn't. It was a water snake. But there are a lot of water moxins in there too. Yeah. So it's dangerous. Yeah. Copperheads in that region too. You got mice. You got water moccasins. Yeah. You got random Cody Jones show.

going up. Yeah. Dangerous recipe for a bad video. Somehow you'll make some gold out of it, which is incredible. Back to the Stanley Yelnets, I think you would have fit in really well with the holes crew. Oh, I agree. Like, that actually would have been, I think you could have carried Madame Zerone up that hill and broke the first. I think, I think Madam Zerone would have been her favorite child out there.

Forever in Eternity. Yeah. Good movie. Yeah. I can dig a hole, dude. Is this hammer the night, the mantel piece of the crooked one that you're building right now? That's the crooked hammer. Okay.

You'll see in just a sec. Yeah. So, Josh, describe a straight line for us. Okay. Again, when you're trying to get on top of it, you can't, Ty could feel himself well. I don't have great body awareness control like he does. And so I just felt like I was drilling straight on a straight line. And then I had some decent impact.

And then it just, it just wasn't working well. And he started screaming at me, which added more pressure. Screaming is strong. Screaming is strong. He started raising his voice at me in. Sort of raising his voice. It does add pressure. Yeah, it just added pressure.

Jared was trying to get in on the action. You know what I respect, though, that he was willing to get out there and try. I put myself out there. You did. You did, and I appreciate it. Is he the Corey Cotton of Log Cabin? Oh, no. No, no, he's not the Cory Cotton.

Kobe and Corey, God bless him. They attempted to build a log cabin, and it's so sad because their dad is such a good woodworker. He's phenomenal. And somehow, zero of that skill got. passed down to them. Yeah, my dad was not a woodworker. Yeah, I mean, you guys had an absent father. Nobody taught you how to use the dude.

The dude was winning world championship. Yeah, but he didn't teach us how to do practical things. Give him a little bit of a break, dude. How much thought did you put into the design of the cabin before you did it? Or were you just winging it as you went? I knew that we were going to cut all of our big logs to 12 feet, and so our interior diameter was going to be slightly under that. and then I had a general idea for the roof construction

on how we would pitch the roof with our two ridge poles. That shifted a little bit when we got into it. But yeah, it was very much just kind of feel it out as we went. In terms of like gratitude when you're finished, that first night sleeping in there. It was awesome, dude. It was like the best night ever. Like cooking steaks.

We slip on the floor. We had caught for Josh. You got caught. Selfless, dude. I would have much rather, dude. Colton probably fits perfect on the top. You call it Todd boat from the Star No, I know, but you get up there

Then you get up there to sleep and the roof is right here It's like an MRI It's a tight top ball I'm gonna say the MVP of the video Other than Ties, the cameraman I mean look at the conditions Ties making these dudes work There was a lot of rain

On a random days he's like Ty's like I'm shucking today boys Get up there Yeah And it's not super close I mean we drove an hour Yeah that's an hour there I'm back every time. I mean, we drove,

put a lot of miles on the trucks there. Oh, will this be kind of the headquarters or DPO? No. No. No, I think we're a sweet 200 guys. Oh, okay, got it.

Yeah. Yeah, nice. No, but we will definitely film some more videos and stuff out there. So we'll do some deer hunting out here this fall. I think it'd be cool to do some nights in the cabin. I've seen a bunch of comments from people saying we should do like a two or three day series

where we just stay out there. So it'll definitely get used. saw some people saying we should make our own boat. I thought that would be kind of cool. Yeah. Out of a tree. I want to see that either, but willing to try. I would like to see Josh catch a water moxen.

You're going to see Josh catch some snakes in the next DPO video, and the amount of growth that this man went through in a span of about a week of his fear of snakes is actually remarkable. So it's a good video. Sweat and tears. No blood for him. I'm not going to listen to that. I got one more question.

What can we expect from DPO? What are some other videos coming out? We got the snake. Yeah, we got pythons, Colton's turkey hunt. We're going to go do a spearfishing video in the Bahamas with Grant Horvatt. Which is cool. That's fun. So Grant loves to spearfish as much as golf, which would be cool.

And all the boys are taking a road trip. Road trip, baby. To Wyoming. To Wyoming. Gares headed to Alaska with one of his boys for a little birthday trip. Go do some fly fishing up there amongst the bears in Alaska. We are going to South Africa in Namibia later this year. And then I think we're going to start trying to do some more collabs.

So this year I just wanted to do a lot of variety, just kind of hit all the different pieces of content throughout the year. And then I think we're going to try and do some stuff with the Buck Commander guys, Seek One. Yeah, we've got some good stuff coming up. I love that. But don't want the roads that some of these guys pick to ride their bike? It's a safety concern. And then we're going on one lane, 1461. And then not only are we not going to be on the side of the road, we're just going to be like, dude, I'm just taking up the middle lane. And not only that, I'm not going to move over. And then people are coming and I can't pass you. so I just got to go 12 miles an hour

on a 60 mile an hour road behind a road bike guy? Yeah, this is actually good. It's crazy to me. I will say I don't understand why you can't ride golf carts if they allow biking. It doesn't make any sense. I do agree with that.

It should just be like golf carts are able to go on the road. Yeah, golf cart, you got to be, what, under 30, 30 mile an hour road to be able to drive your golf cart? Why is a bike not the same thing? Yeah. The problem with bikers, too, is I feel like they're very intense. antagonizing group. They want the smoke. They're acting like they're innocent, but they're fighting. They're begging somebody to roll down the window. And I bet their stamina's great. I bet

they're pretty scrappy too. So it's like you can't just get out of your car and start fighting them. Can I add on actually to you? Because I actually thought I wanted to. It's going to cause, there is going to be a nasty wreck, unfortunately, because, you know, people look at their phones too much. And if you're on a 60 mile on our road, you're not, you're not thinking you're going 10. No, no. It's got the groups of them. And then it's just like even harder to pass them because you got to have a big window. Yeah, I just, I'm sorry. I don't, I don't like you.

He's been, he's been holding on to that. I want to add on, because something really is bothering me lately. Yeah, VAR is disgusting. Well, VAR is disgusting. We saw that this weekend, but I'm kind of over the bumper sticker for everything. Oh, yeah. We have like, when we were kids, it felt like, you know, my kid's on the A-B-A honor roll. Yeah.

And now it's like, my kid passed sixth grade. And I'm like, that feels, you know, why we. There's bumper sticker. for literally everything. My kid passed his standardized testing. And why do you need to feel, why do you feel the need to tell people driving next to you on the road

so much about you and your family? Yeah, like the, yeah, like we have five kids and three dogs and two cats. And then they have fluff. And now all of a sudden you hit a biker on the road because you were looking at somebody's bumper stickers on the back of their car that you can't even read. And it's a hazard for me because I'm like,

coexist, he voted Republican. I'm trying to. Yeah. And all of a sudden I'm like, oh gosh, I'm like, It's wild. It's just getting crazy. Most likely to have the family on the back, dude-wise, sticker?

Corey. Corey, for sure. He has a whole family. He also should put student driver sticker on that too, because that dude is terrible. Yeah. So there you have it. Bumper stickers and bikers. That's our rant today.

No. Hey, look, at the end of the day, rants or rants, you know, it's, you know, sometimes you're ugly. Yeah. You got to roll up the sleeves. Yeah. Sometimes they're like Josh on the outdoor chunk. It's a little lovely.

I'm a punching bag, you're batting like a buck 85. It's only like a month and a half into the season, but they're talking about sending you down. Where's getting sent down to? I don't know. D. D.

You can be the king of DPN interns. Maybe that's how we spice up our videos. We have relegation within it. That's a good idea. It's like, dude, if you lose too many battles, you got to, you're off the main. channel. You're down to the intern age. You're doing weird dances and jack-in-a-box parking lots.
