Welcome to Totalus Rankium. This week, welcome to the Senate. Hello and welcome to the Senate. Yes, welcome to the Senate. This is a quick announcement because we've been hinting for quite some time that we're going to be changing how we do things and this is it. This is very exciting. It is exciting. The Senate, as many of our listeners know, is the name we give for our patrons. And they are signed up on Podbean and they get to listen to Roman Republic episodes. Yes.

Which we have a fair few of now. Well, we are now opening the Senate to the American series as well. It's really handy, actually, because the Romans had a Senate and so did the US. So thank you for that, America. High fives. It's so useful, isn't it? Yes. So we are going to start a new series called Founding Fathers Totalus Rankium, where we

are going to be ranking not necessarily all the founding fathers, might not even be founding fathers. We are going to just be looking at people who were alive during the revolutionary era and look at what they got up to. And the first episode is out this weekend. We are starting with none other than Alexander Hamilton. What I like about the Senate and the Fanning Fathers is it's not going to be just one massively long episode.

It was broken down, bite-sized chunks. Yes. But more detail. Yes, more detail. So we are not limiting ourselves to two episodes per person we will just run with a person until we run out of life and then we'll stop yeah so that's gonna be good we'll see which one comes first yeah okay so this is how it's going to work our schedule is changing we will be releasing each month one President episode, one Emperor

episode, and one Senate episode. The Senate episode might be the Founding Fathers, it might be the Roman Republic. I'm planning to alternate at the moment, and depending on lengths of episodes, who knows, I might be able to throw two episodes in a month. We will see. But there'll definitely be at least one a month, which is good news for those Roman Republic fans. Because, as you know, we don't usually get them out that regularly. But we're going to spend more time on the Senate. Far more time.

Now, some good news. If you're not interested in the Founding Fathers at all, you don't need to do a thing. Because the Patreon on Podbean is still up and running. And it will continue to be up and running. And we will still release every Roman Republic episode through Podbean that way. However, we have also launched a Patreon. And this is where you will find not just the Founding Fathers series, but also the Roman Republic series.

So if you sign up to our Patreon, you will have access to both of them. And that's pretty good. So if you are currently a Senate member, you can quit the Podbean one and sign up for Patreon, and you will get both. If you

just want the American one, you get the Roman one for free, which is nice. Yeah, good deal. Yeah, so there you go. We are up and running now, so you can sign up. The Hamilton episode should be out this weekend, so look for it then. So let's go through the costings. For $5 a month, you have access to, like I say, both series, and you can download them, listen to them, enjoy them. For the next two tiers up, $10 at $15,

you have access to the episodes, but you also get voting rights, and this will become more interesting in the future, because at the moment in our president series we're going through the presidents but in series two we will be looking at people who live during the lives of each president so it could be anyone and that's where voting rights come in because patreons will be able to vote on who they want to be covered

during for example Madison's life or Jason's life so you get control of the episodes, which is quite cool. Yes. And if you can't wait till then, because we're still a little way off getting to season two, you will also get voting rights on who we cover in the Founding Fathers and the Roman Republic series. So yes, there is no difference between the $10 and the $15 tiers.
