Hi, AOM listeners. We wanted to let you know that there is not going to be a new AOM episode this week.
So we're hard at work doing multiple interviews, preparing for several stories that we will be producing over the next several months.
However, we wanted to give you a small sneak peek of what cases are to come.
Part of her skull was missing. It was disfigured like you would not believe.
Still to this day, easily the worst crime scene I've dealt with ever.
I've seen a lot in my 40 plus years.
I've been a homicide detective for more than 12 years.
I don't think I've seen anything quite that bad.
This case f***ed with me.
Interviews with the foremost experts in their field.
Murder is the ultimate crime.
To me, a nobody murder is the ultimate murder.
An NCIS investigation.
You have a lovely spirited young lady who vanishes
middle of the night on what should be one of your safest environments in the United States, right?
Largest naval base we got.
Unsolved cases.
One day, they would pay for it.
Someone, anyone, to come through with one piece of information that can kind of take us over the edge.
A homicide that took 50 years to solve.
My mom says, they found Maureen. She's dead. She's dead.
No, no, no.
And you'll be hearing two cases that came from AOM listeners.
So I just like send a message out there.
Next thing you know, I'm like, they actually got a hold of me.
But these listeners are also family members of homicide victims.
This was a big, big loss for us.
I mean, he was an amazing, outstanding person.
You know, I'm really appreciative of you guys getting a hold of us.
Yeah, and helping us have a voice.
It is so meaningful for us that you as listeners,
and in particular these that are family members of victims,
have reached out to us
and are letting us share their stories with you.
The only word I can really think about right now is honored.
You giving us these stories
means that we are hopefully doing the job we set out to do.
We'll be back next Tuesday
with a brand-new episode of Anatomy of Murder.
