Yeah.
All said, friends, uh, yeah, enjoy the stories.
Hi, Raven.
I'm emerging out of lurkdom to introduce myself.
A female listener in her 60s based in the London, UK.
I've lately become addicted to your channel, especially the glitch in the Matrix stories.
And I'm not entirely sure if this story belongs in that or the paranormal category.
Should you decide it's worth sharing, I'll leave that to you in the community to decide.
I chose paranormal.
Some background info first.
Apparently, my maternal great-grandfather was the seventh son of a seventh son, and this,
according to my grandmother, accounted for her, my mom and one of my mom's cousins, and I all
being psychic to some degree.
Though whether or not he was psychic, I don't know.
I myself am clairodiant, but back to the story, which suffice to say is absolutely true.
I've experienced a fair few paranormal events throughout my life, and many have involved animal spirits.
This tale, however, involves a living animal, and it's that which makes me consider the incident a possible glitch.
I had a neighbor, we'll call her Georgia, who became a close friend.
She was whip-smart, witty, fierce, and outspoken.
We would watch rubbish TV, eat cake, and have heated discussions late into the night.
And she, like me, had two cats.
One of hers, we'll call him Stanley, was a big orange bruiser whom I adored and my cats got along with pretty well.
Over the years, Stanley became a frequent visitor to my flat, mainly because he wasn't allowed to sleep
on or in Georgia's bed and he favored a bed, anybody's bed, over all the equally comfortable
alternatives that he was permitted to sleep on at home. As Georgia was a night owl who tended
to sleep for much of the day, Stanley took to crashing out on my bed with my cats during the
daytime and spending the small hours with Georgia, which suited all of us. My cats are
locked in at night, and Georgia and I had an agreement that if Stanley hadn't asked to return home of
his own volition by the time I was ready to turn in, I would let him out into the back garden
before I did. From there, he would make his way back home, three gardens down. Sadly, Georgia
developed an extremely rare form of cancer about 16 years ago. It was discovered during a routine
hospital visit for something else entirely, and came as a horrible shock to her family and friends.
It was, unfortunately, quite advanced, by the time they diagnosed it, and she was gone within a couple of months, much of which she spent in and out of hospital undergoing various grueling forms of treatment.
Towards the end, I didn't see her much, though Stanley continued to visit throughout, much as he always had.
One evening, though, I realized that he had not been to visit and wondered since my cats were both in and fed, if I should just lock the cat flap for the night and call it quits.
It was about 7 p.m.ish, but since Stanley usually bowled in and made himself comfortable by early afternoon, I decided he was probably unlikely to show and resolved to do just that.
Later, as I busied myself with some dishwashing,
I heard the unmistakable thud of Stanley
repeatedly banging on the cat flap to be led in.
I live on the top floor of a two-story house,
and the cat flap is situated at the bottom of a staircase
situated behind my kitchen.
Wiping my hands on a tea towel,
I turned towards the back passageway only to come face to face with Stanley.
Favouring me with a cursory greeting,
he sauntered down the hall and into the bedroom.
So, clearly, I hadn't closed the cat flap after all.
Or else I had inadvertently turned it to the setting where a cat could enter but not leave the premises.
I went downstairs to rectify this, only to discover that I had indeed locked the cat flap firmly on both sides,
and that Stanley had somehow found a way to walk through a solid wooden door.
My flat is pretty small.
I'd been home all day and at no point had I seen Stanley.
If he had, unbeknownst to me, somehow been locked in and wanted to leave, he would have found me and asked.
He was pretty vocal.
But he had clearly wanted in.
The hair on my arms and the back of my neck stood on end.
This felt more than slightly freaky.
It felt portentous.
The following morning the phone rang early.
I knew because I answered it that it was Georgia's husband and that he was calling to say she had gone.
I also learned that at the precise time Stanley had materialized in my flat, he had been driving her back home following dialysis.
He hadn't even left the hospital car park when she went into cardiac arrest.
Her family sat with her until she passed.
Whether Georgia sent Stanley to me as a means of saying goodbye, or he somehow glitched his way into my house from a reality.
where the cat flap was still open, I'll never know.
But if anyone else has experienced something similar,
I would be fascinated to hear about it.
Stay spooky, Raven, and thank you for your consideration.
Hi, Raven.
Thank you for giving a platform to tell our stories,
unadulterated, unedited, and in full.
It's my pleasure.
I wanted to send this story while it's all still fresh in my mind.
About 15 years ago, I was living,
in Egypt and was engaged to an Egyptian Coptic Christian.
I'm white, English, and at that point, I only knew about the absolute basics about the
Cops, whatever I had picked up from him and his family.
I didn't know many of their saints or history, and the individual featured in the story
was not one who was particularly prominent to feature on the walls of houses or churches,
so I had not encountered him before.
I also don't speak Arabic, so all conversations with my ex's family was done through my ex,
and I definitely hadn't read or heard anything that could have influenced me.
I got really sick with some kind of food poisoning and went to stay with my fiancé,
so his family could look after me.
Because we weren't married, I had to sleep in a separate room.
One night, while I was feeling awful in half asleep, I rolled over in bed and I rolled over in bed,
and saw a silhouetted man standing across my room against the white wall.
My first thought was, oh, it's my fiancé checking on me.
That's sweet.
The outline looked close enough to the same, same height, same general shape,
and on his head was what I thought was a really tight, neat afro.
My ex had messy afroish hair, so that's what I assumed I was looking at.
But something about it didn't look right.
His hair was never that tidy.
I blinked and the figure was gone, just the wall again.
I wasn't scared, just confused, but I felt really calm and I went back to sleep.
The next morning I told his mom what I had seen.
I described the whole thing, the height, the stillness, the neat afro, the fact that I thought it was her son.
She got really excited straight away.
She didn't act surprised or worried.
She just lit up.
She went and got a photograph of a monk, turned saint, that I had never seen before in my life.
At the moment I saw it, I recognized him as the man who had been standing in the room,
and that's when I realized the tight afra wasn't hair at all.
It was a cune, the rounded monastic cap that Coptic monks wear.
I didn't really see those around, so of course I misread it in the moment.
His head was tilted in the picture in the exact way that it was in my room, and he was dressed in dark robes, which made sense of the shape of the body being a bit more rounded in the shoulder than my ex.
His mom was thrilled.
This was significant.
Her future daughter-in-law was visited by a saint.
They were, like most in Egypt, extremely religious, and it can't be understated how big this was for them.
life moved on, we broke up, I came back to England and started a totally different life,
and honestly I didn't think much about it over the years,
although every now and then I bring back the memory as it was so unique.
And I wondered if I did indeed see what I thought I saw.
I mean, I know what I saw, but it all felt just a bit too supernatural.
I couldn't ever for the life of the life.
me remember his name.
Fast forward to today, for the first time in ages he popped into my head, and I tried to remember
who he was.
I'm now quite deep into the spiritual rabbit warren, and love all things paranormal, mystical or spiritual,
including your podcast, Raven.
In my mind, there's no doubt what I saw, but I was about to get proof beyond doubt.
I could only recall the general look of the photo and the accounts of my experience.
So, I asked an AI and finally got results.
Abana Abdal Masi El Makari, if I mispronounced that, I apologize.
He died in the 60s, so there are photos, meaning his likeness in the iconography is based on real features and very accurate.
There was no mistaking him when you see him, and I finally had him there again.
in front of my eyes in literal black and white.
And here's the part that stopped me in my tracks and sent shivers down my spine.
Everything I've learned today, 15 years later,
lines up with what happened that night,
even though I knew none of it at the time.
The guy was known for being a healer when he was alive.
Now, a saint, he is known in the Coptic community
for appearing to people when they're sick,
quiet, non-dramatic visitations, standing silently in rooms and being mistaken for a relative and only recognized afterwards.
And he wore the exact same kuyon I mustook for hair.
I didn't know any of this back then, or until today.
I've had hallucinations before, where you see crazy things like astronaut rabbits in your room,
but they always slowly fade back into reality, as you wake fully.
and then you realize it was just a piece of furniture or a bundle of clothing.
This was not that.
This was a solid figure against a blank wall that was so real that I mistook it for my ex.
Then, it went almost as quickly as it came, without a trace, leaving blank wall again.
Apparently there are countless stories all identical to mine within the Coptic community,
and mostly written in Arabic church pamphlets or making their way onto Egyptian YouTube in Arabic.
Nothing I would have come across, hence the 15 years trying to find him again, until the AI solved the puzzle.
I both believe it wholeheartedly and also cannot believe it actually happened to me.
I don't know why it did.
What set me aside from others and allowed me to see him?
Nothing like this has ever happened before nor since, and it remains one of the most significant
memories of my life, and one I shall treasure as a privilege.
I wanted to share this story as my little shred of evidence that there is more to this
existence than meets our eyes.
And thank you, Raven, for reading my story.
It was an absolute pleasure, my friend.
Hi, Raven.
A couple of months ago.
I submitted a glitch in the Matrix story that you read on your podcast.
Thank you for that.
You did a great job narrating it.
I love hearing your narration of people's various weird experiences.
Thank you for submitting it and very happy that you enjoyed.
Since then, I heard a rallying cry for paranormal stories, always.
So here are a few experiences that I had some time ago.
These happened in a townhouse of a room I rented almost 20 years ago.
The lady I rented from was a little weird in my opinion, but I was in need of a place to say, so I signed the lease and moved in.
My room was located downstairs and had an enceau with just a tub.
No shower.
My landlady didn't want me attaching a shower wand to it for whatever reason, and just told me to use her bathroom upstairs that had a shower in it.
Inconvenient, but okay.
So one morning on my day off, I went upstairs to shower, per my room.
She was at work across town that day and was not home.
Upon reaching the top of the stairs to enter the bathroom, I noticed that the window blinds in a room with the shower-en-sue were open.
I was wrapped in a towel, about to go shower, and I didn't want to go close them in case someone might see me.
So I decided that I would just shower and descend quickly down the stairs to my room.
When I came out about a half hour later, those blinds that were once wide open were closed, completely closed.
I was the only one home.
My landlady was working across town.
I descended the stairs, got dressed, and quickly left for the day after that.
The second incident involved my best friend who was visiting with her husband.
My friend and I were sitting on my bed, while her husband was looking at something on my computer next to us.
all of the sudden, I felt a spirit or ghost or whatever as it was going through me
and then my friend sitting next to me.
It literally went right through us.
I don't know if you know what that feels like,
but I would describe it as a really big shudder of something inside of you that doesn't belong.
We were both very creeped out about that and in shock afterwards.
And the feeling I got was that it was the land.
lady's mother who had passed away there prior to my moving in.
The third incident happened when I was again home alone on my day off,
and I heard a male voice scream what I think was,
HA! Really loudly in my left ear.
Yes, I am gifted and have abilities, but not all places are active.
However, that place sure was.
How I lived there a whole year, I don't know, but I still remember these experiences
to this day.
Thank you for reading Raven and take care.
In this story, it was 1986-ish.
Hot Wheels had come out with a car that you could stick a key in and make it go.
It sounds cooler than it was.
Me and my sister, ages 5 and 6, were playing in our room with this new toy,
mostly excited about the glow-in-the-dark keychain that came with it.
We lived in an older house.
The closets had a regular door, and they were very long and narrow rooms.
No windows, pitch black.
Our closet happened to be filled with toys.
Old toys, like stuffed animals everywhere,
and there was no floor to walk on, really, just toys.
Anyway, this is where my sister wanted to see the keychain glow.
I was always afraid of the closets,
and it took some coaxing to get me in there,
under the agreement that she wouldn't shut the door all the way.
But she did.
I wandered out right away.
I felt a rush behind me in the complete darkness.
I grabbed for where the door was, finding the knob and turning it.
It wouldn't open.
My sister tried, and both of us were becoming panicked.
We started screaming, and I was banging on the door for our mom.
I was relieved to hear her voice call through the door, but only for a second.
Her voice had a panic in it too.
I'll be right back.
I'm coming back.
I don't know how long it took.
Me and my sister just held on to each other in the dark
until our mom came back and opened the door grabbing for us.
The closets didn't have locks on them.
The only way to keep the door locked shut
was a big nail that was hammered into the door frame
and bent over the door.
Our mom had to go get a hammer to move the nail
that somehow had bent over the door while we were trapped inside.
This person sent several stories and with a single email, so we're just going to read them all as one story, basically.
Story one.
I was in my childhood home with my older cousin, maybe playing a game of some kind, or we were just talking and were on my bed,
when all of a sudden I feel someone grabbed my right arm.
It felt like an actual person had taken a grip across my arm.
I look at my cousin, and before I even say anything, she says,
Did you feel that?
My eyes must have been wide open.
She then says that someone just grabbed my arm.
So, someone had grabbed both of our arms.
Story two, this story happened to me, but I was too young to remember, and my mom told me this story.
I come from a Hispanic Catholic family, and we believe in all paranormal things.
When I was three years old, I broke my arm and my mom was working and the babysitter wasn't watching me.
She took me to the doctor and we were in the room waiting.
The doctor came in and grabbed my arm and slowly massaged it.
He tells my mom that it was a good idea that she brought me in and then walks away.
Another doctor comes in to examine me and my mom tells the new doctor what happened to the other doctor.
She describes him and he tells her that he's the only doctor that.
there, and that no one matched the description of the man who examined my arm.
I believe my mom, and we both say that it was an angel watching over me.
We both think this because the new doctor saw my x-ray and told my mom that because of the
break in my arm, there was a big chance that, when it heals, I would probably not be able
to fold my arm.
My arms came out fine afterwards.
So maybe it was a ghost of some kind, or...
my guardian angel.
Story three.
In this story, I was a kid, maybe around 10 to 12 years old.
My mom was out running errands.
The phone rings.
It's my mom's uncle looking for my mom,
and he tells me to tell her that he called and tell her that he loved her very much.
Well, my mom comes home, and I tell her,
and she tells me that that couldn't be possible,
as he had passed away the night before.
Story 4.
This happened when I was 11 years old.
I was very close with my grandma and we even shared rooms.
Unfortunately, she passed and had a heart attack.
It was weird.
I still remember what she ate for dinner that night.
I learned all of this after when I was 18.
My mom told me that after my grandma passed,
that I was complaining to her that something was not letting me sleep at night.
that something or someone was touching my face and that it would happen every night.
My mom's friend told my mom to put some of my grandma's clothing on top of me when I sleep.
My mom told me that my grandma adored me and I don't think that she was ready to leave yet.
And lastly, I also wanted to send you this one about sleep paralysis mixed with a dream.
This dream was recent, within the last six months at least.
In my dream I was sleeping in my bed and I could feel myself having sleep paralysis
and I couldn't move as much as I tried.
I couldn't get myself to get up from my bed.
Finally, I got up and went over to my husband's bed and went to the corner by the wall
and when I turned around I saw this black monster
and my husband looked worried and asked me what was wrong.
He turned and he saw what was chasing me.
That's when I got up from sleeping in real life.
It was one of the weirdest dreams I have ever had.
Very freaky.
Hey, Raven.
Thanks so much for reading my last story.
This story happened literally an hour after watching your video with my story.
That night, after I finished your video, I turned my phone off and went to bed.
I couldn't fall asleep, and that's when I saw a figure of a man.
I called out from my brother because I called out from my brother, because I turned my phone off.
Because at first, I assumed it was him, but I could see my brother's door closed and the light coming out from the bottom of the door.
Then the figure of the man started walking toward me.
I didn't move until the figure was right at the edge of my bed and then I just jumped out.
But the figure was gone when I jumped.
I swear I could see him.
I could hear my heart beating loud.
The part that confused me the most was that the place he was standing was blocked out.
As if someone was standing there for real, and when the figure started walking toward me,
I could see that part again like I would normally.
I didn't react quickly because the figure wasn't walking with speed, not even slow.
It was a regular speed, which is why I thought it was my brother.
For some reason, I could feel there was no intent,
but I panicked and jumped out of instinct because I couldn't explain what it was or what it wanted.
The reason I sent this in was because it happened right after you posted my glitch story,
and I was just wondering whether they're connected.
Whether the fact that I shared my experience made the Matrix mad.
Hi, Raven.
It's time for another weird story from your Norwegian friend.
Well, hello.
But this time it didn't take place in Norway.
Aw.
About 15 years ago, my son and I were on vacation.
I can't remember if we were.
were in Greece or Turkey. We often spent our summers there, but what we both clearly remember
is how it looked there and what happened. It was a warm and pleasant morning. The sun was
already shining brightly, and we sat outdoors at a little restaurant table, waiting for our
somewhat late breakfast. A glass turned upside down, sat on the table. I don't know why. But suddenly
the glass started to move all by itself. It moved from one side.
of the table to the other. We both were startled, but immediately my logical brain started to search
for a logical reason. I checked that none of us had touched the table or its legs, and the surface
under it was solid concrete. Then, I wondered if there was water under the glass, because it
absolutely happens that glassware moves around on wet tables. No water, no dew, nothing. After all,
It was midsummer in southern Europe, which means hot and dry weather.
I even took the glass and wiped it.
It looked that there was no water stains or anything else on the surface of the table,
and then I wiped the table to make absolutely sure that there was no liquid there.
Then I sat the glass down again.
The glass sat perfectly still, for a while.
The next thing I checked was that the table wasn't leaning to one side.
No, it looked perfectly.
perfectly straight to me.
Well, then I ran out of ideas, and we both shrugged it off as weird, but not dangerous.
Then, it got weirder.
The glass started moving again, and this time the opposite way.
It was as if to say that it couldn't have been that the table was leaning.
It moved slowly all the way to the other side of the table and stopped before it fell off.
We looked at each other, both speechily.
wondering how in the world that was even possible.
We never found an answer to that.
And no more weird things happened on that vacation.
But surely this was a memorable moment.
I mean, we can't remember what country we were in
or even exactly what year it was,
not to mention what we had for breakfast right after it happened,
but we remember every detail of this little event.
Thanks for listening, and thank you for the good work that you do.
As always, I appreciate your voice and your perfect narration.
And I love all the strange stories that you read.
Thank you very much and thank you for sharing.
Hey, Raven, I hope you're doing well and thank you for taking the time to read my story.
Thank you for taking the time to send it in.
For some context, my name is Serenthea, and I'm 34 and have a 12-year-old daughter named Lily.
When Lily turned five, I gifted her a cat who she named Kyrie.
Kyrie was her first pet
and was an inside-slash
outdoor cats so
it's pretty normal to not see her for days at a time
unfortunately for about a week prior
to me writing this
I've had this sense of impending doom and dread
it's hard to put into words
but I could feel the kind of sadness and pain
of losing a loved one
I wouldn't call the feeling overwhelming per se
but it definitely hurt and felt real
Like, I knew there would be a death, but it wouldn't be someone in the immediate family, like my mom or brother.
I'm not saying I'm psychic by any means, but I've had these feelings, or sometimes dreams multiple times throughout my life that I can't explain.
Maybe in another story I'll get more into that, but for now, I digress.
Then it happened.
I hadn't seen Kyrie in a few days, and I was on my way to check my mail when the neighbor called me over.
He was pointing down saying that someone's cat had passed on his lawn.
Looking at where he was pointing, I could see that it was Kyrie.
That sense of dread washed over me once again like a cold shower.
My heart sank, and I confirmed to my neighbor that she was my daughter's cat.
Thankfully, my neighbor offered to clean her up and move her before my daughter came walking home from the bus.
I thanked him, and I went about my day trying not to lose it and wondering what I'm going to tell my daughter.
Even now, I still can't bring myself to tell her.
The next day, my daughter came up to me, and with a big smile on her face, happily said,
I had a good dream. I dreamt about Kyrie.
My heart sunk, and tears filled my eyes.
I had to excuse myself before I completely broke.
It seems like Kyrie was able to tell Lily goodbye, even if my daughter doesn't realize it yet.
Thank you again, Raven, and I appreciate you giving me a place to get this out.
I do plan on sending out more stories soon.
Take care.
I grew up in North Georgia in a fastly developing town called Canton.
I used to think that we didn't have anything happened there or anything interesting about us,
but looking back, we had a few wild things.
happened that were worthy of being viral internet stories, if not well-known urban legends.
A horrific murder mystery of a poor little girl, it ended up being some unassuming creep
that had just graduated from our high school the year before I started. A twisty, turny, year-long
drama case of a gym teacher having his life turned upside down by a deranged girl claiming he
assaulted her. Only after he lost everything was a proven innocent.
all the way to a haunted house with a compelling story of a husband possibly killing his wife and getting away with it.
And she haunted the residents there years after, so much so that they hired paranormal investigators.
And then there was Hell's Church.
I don't know what the actual church is called, something First Baptist or the something or whatever.
Everyone I knew ever only called it Hell's Church.
If you drive through downtown Canton crossing into Alesca,
there is an infamous sharp left turn that dives downward and gets more and more rural as you go along.
Small neighborhoods turn to small roadside residences.
Those become more and more sparse before turning into thick forest
and a two-way road that is hardly wide enough to be called so.
It winds through hilly, dangerous turns until spitting you out into a clearing with a large grave
yard on your left, and a classic-looking renovated church on your right.
It isn't abandoned, but no one knows anyone else that goes there.
So even without a name like Hell's Church, it's creepy enough.
But there's a good reason why it has earned that name.
The story goes, in the 70s or 80s there was a cults that operated there at night, doing
rituals in the surrounding woods.
Now, I don't know much about the history, but I have to be able to.
have looked up the highlights of its dark past and have confirmed a few parts of the story.
One, they were investigated for cult-like activity.
Two, the church actually was burned down and then repaired around the same time,
and there's a memorial statue in the front of it now.
And three, a little boy was found hung at the church still in his church clothing.
Well, fast forward to 2012 Halloween night.
my high school gang of degenerates, thought that it would be just the place to go to get our
spook on. And, well, we weren't the only ones. I swear you would think there was a concert
happening there by the sheer amount of other high school kids perusing about. It was a wonder
the cops didn't come break up the party early. Anyway, we got there a little later than most
kids were leaving, and we were just about to get started. There was about seven or eight of us,
and this was the first time I really got to take all of it in.
And just how strange the place is when you think about it.
Like these so-called baptism pits that were a bit of a walk down into the woods from the church.
Pretty self-explanatory, you would think.
Just an area where they did the baptisms.
But the thing is, in most churches the baptism baths are raised up on a podium or a stage,
giving a sort of holyish scene for the act.
But these were actual pits.
They were dug into the ground and really confusingly deep.
Seven by 12 feet, I'm guessing, and about seven to eight feet deep.
We had to help each other in and out of them.
There were no ladders.
If someone came along and fell in,
they would seriously be trapped for God knows how long
in an actual horror scenario.
The church itself, like I said, is an old classic-looking church, just one big room with seats and a small podium, and tall reaching pillar like roof with the cross.
But it was renovated and still had electricity, we could tell from the glowing exit signs.
After all, this place was still being used by some back-country churchgoers.
Then, around back is the crawl space, and that night someone had actually kicked in the little door and turned the light on.
We all started creeping through this five to six foot tall crawl space in small groups like we were on some kind of museum tour.
This is where the night started to get weird, and I started to think that maybe there actually was something real to all the stories I'd heard.
inside the crawl space there were piles of burned Bible hymns pages and pages of singed church songs
I only assumed that there must have been actual Bible pages in there too I have no idea why they would be there
if they were burned there or just dumped there it seemed to me like they were burning in small pits in the
crawl space as dumb and dangerous as it sounds but it wouldn't be impossible to contain
it if careful.
But I don't know what would motivate anyone to do that, if it wasn't some kind of a cult ritual,
or maybe some insane groundskeeper.
Now that I write this, maybe that's how the famous fire started.
But it didn't look that old, and I would think the pages would have been completely ashen
if the fire like that started.
No matter how I think about it, I don't know what to make of it.
I was there and I held these burnt church books in my hands,
and I read what pieces of the songs weren't chart off the page.
Back outside the church, things started to get even weirder
when my friend Stephanie comes up excited to us.
She was a real photographer.
She was a good one, too.
She kind of went on her own to take pictures around the place,
and for other high school kids as well.
But she started to look back through them,
and she showed us at least a dozen.
dozen pictures of the church with orbs in the air all around.
Almost like the church itself was dispersing spores into the air.
They were everywhere, even in the pictures that she took of us in the baptism pits.
Now, I knew Stephanie pretty well then.
She was not the kind of girl to do things for attention.
Quite the opposite.
She was shy and didn't like having the attention on her too much.
A very genuine and sweet girl, but a few days later,
at school to our amazement, she showed us on her camera that all the pictures she took were gone,
not even deleted or in a trash folder, just gone as if she wasn't even there that night.
So back at the church, it was getting late, and there were only a few parties of kids hanging about.
We were making plans of what we were going to do after this, when a shriek rings out from a kid in a group standing next to us.
He's bawling his eyes out, holding his head, bending over, frantically trying to breathe and shouting,
Oh my God, oh my God, I can't make it stop. Please help me. I don't know.
Just lots of panicked half-phrases like that.
We all tried to shrug it off as a prank, but his friends were really good actors if that was one.
Because they were panicking with him.
We could tell that they were just as confused and shrews.
shocked by what was happening too, before just ushering him off to the car and then they got the hell
out of there. Again, I don't know what to make of it. It feels like such a cliche horror movie thing
that it had to have been a prank, but I'm telling you, it looked like, and they reacted like
it was something out of a horror movie. If it had been the only thing that had happened,
I wouldn't have thought twice, but given the rest of the night's occurrences and other stories I've
heard, it really paints that memory in a more believable way.
Not long after that, we were just getting ready to leave when a few of us wanted to try for
our own little spooky moment.
We went to a sitting area by the edge of the church in the woods, and did the whole,
if there were any spirits here, give us a sign thing.
I got to admit, it felt kind of silly.
There was only myself and three others, one of which was my friend Katie.
who I knew very well, as in dated a little bit here and there.
And we maintained a friendship even many years after.
She's a straight shooter.
I went to this girl's wedding a few years ago.
I've seen her grow from an edgy emo kid to a grown woman and mother.
She was and is a very matter-of-fact composed individual.
I didn't know her to be any part of any high school drama.
And again, another girl that I didn't know to be exaggerative,
or to do anything for attention.
Katie's blunt, with not a fake bone in her body.
And she looks in my direction and shudders.
She starts shaking and with a whimper,
takes off running towards the car,
crying her eyes out.
When we finally calmed her down,
she says she looked around the circle at the rest of us,
and standing next to me,
she saw that little boy,
still in his church clothes.
Hi. In my life, I have had experiences with ghosts, from seeing something in my old house to being chased by something down the hall.
But that's not what I'm going to talk about. I'm going to talk about him.
I don't know his name or what he is, but you can feel its presence when you walk into the theater that I was and still do work in.
When I first started at my job, I was 15. I went a whole year without experiencing anything.
I had always heard the ghost stories about the place from family members and friends who had also worked there.
I made it through the second year, almost with nothing, until it started.
My friend, Nick and I were in the upstairs costume area on our break, with a couple of other co-workers.
The bathrooms we were allowed to use were up there and there were a couple of couches.
We were goofing off and laughing when Nick looks down by the bathrooms and begins to panic.
The rest of us get up to see what he was looking at.
I remember seeing a shadow dart around the corner.
One of the other people went to look, but there was nothing there.
What happened? I asked.
I had been friends with this kid for a couple of years now, and I had never seen him look so scared.
It was so big, and he looked at me.
We all ran back down and got back to work.
Later that week, one of our shows were going running.
There were people in the audience, and there was a specific section in the show that was a laser light.
segment. The theater went dark and the lasers started. I remember the feeling in my gut that I was
getting. It felt like I was being watched from every corner. My eyes had adjusted to the dark quickly.
It was the third showing of the day, so I was used to seeing in the dark by now. I had been leaned
up against a trash can, and I looked down to my right on the floor. A figure sat next to me.
I could see it clear as day.
My mind froze, and I kept staring.
Was it a guest just trying to be funny?
Was it my eyes messing with me?
As I tried gathering my thoughts, the head of the figure snapped and it looked at me.
I couldn't see its face, but I could feel the eyes.
My knees felt like they filled with jello.
It began to stand up, and it was tall.
Behind me was the doors to the lobby of the theater, and I bolted in hyperventilating.
In the lobby was Nick and Reagan, a co-worker who was sensitive to the lights and sounds.
I was gasping for air and crying.
I explained what had happened and Nick went to investigate.
There wasn't anything there.
Whatever I saw was gone.
And this was the first time I had seen it, or seen him.
After that, he just started showing up more often.
I would see him walking in the catwalk.
voices would come from the theater when the only people who were there were in the back.
If I was at work extra early, I used to lay on the green room couches, and he would walk back and forth
in front of the door. I was the only one in the building. He still shows himself from time to time,
and I know it's him because I get the same jello feelings. His favorite places are the fly rails
and the catwalk. Now, I walk in, get the jello feeling, and look at.
up where I can feel him watching, and he just stares.
Hi, Raven.
I'm typing this late on my phone, so I apologize in advance for any typos.
This happened, I think, in the year 2000.
I picked my son up from school to go to his dental appointment.
He was 10 at the time.
We were driving through the town on highway, but it was rush hour.
It was more stop than go.
I was nervous to miss his appointment, but also I had to have a little.
no choice but to wait on this parking lot of a highway. To kill time, we chatted, and I asked him
about school. But I was still nervous that we would be late. To make my situation bearable and
I guess funny, I started acting goofy. In front of us was a small pickup truck. In the back,
it was hauling plastic water pipes. They were neatly tied and clearly marked with red cloth
since they reached beyond the truck bed towards the back.
To make a joke, I told my son,
watch my powers now when I say abracadabra,
those pipes will loosen up and fall off the back of the truck onto the road.
My son laughed and said, yeah, right.
I swear I was just trying to kill time while being at full stop on the highway
and insert some fun into this boring situation.
So I pointed at the truck and said,
Abra-cadabra.
My son laughed at me and started saying,
Yeah, right, when at that point, all the pipes untied from the back of the truck and fell on to the road.
I froze.
My son yelled, oh my God, Mom, you're a witch.
I don't know how I continued driving afterwards.
I was numb and shocked and millions of other emotions at the same time.
I was scared, and my son's mouth remained open for,
a good minute. I promptly told him, you know, you can't tell this to anyone. By the way,
other than inconvenience for drivers who needed to reload pipes back into the truck,
there was no larger hazard for anyone and especially for us, because we were right behind him.
And because traffic was at standstill. Was it really me or was it a coincidence?
Of course, my 10-year-old had to tell his friends and could not help but brag.
about his mom's powers.
And now as an adult, he tells me it was just coincidence.
Does he really believe it or refuses to believe his mom is weird?
I don't know.
Hello Raven.
The second time posting here.
The last time I sent in a submission, I had an instance with the possible glitch or Mandela
effect with the Demon Slayer anime.
Since then, I've watched everything back several times and found no reason for me
mishearing things.
However, this is not why I'm reaching out.
I feel as though I should mention that I'm no stranger to weird events.
To begin with, I don't necessarily believe in ghosts.
I'm a lifelong Christian, and as far as my understanding, most unexplained phenomena are caused by angels and demons.
However, I have thought through ideas of simulations and glitches mostly because my house has experienced odd things, ever since we moved.
in back in 2018.
For example, my two older children have lived in the nursery room at some point, and when they were
babies, they would always laugh at this one spot on the wall, for, from my point of view,
no reason.
My wife would say that they're playing with an angel, which did make sense to me.
This was more of the innocent encounter with the unnatural.
Another instance happened when I was alone in the house, watching TV in the live.
living room. For absolutely no reason at all, the clothes dryer door just opened from down the
hall. And I remember looking at it, watching it as it opened. It wasn't a harsh or angry opening,
but more so natural, like someone just opened it to either load or unload it. At the time,
I was actually not really spooked, and I kind of jokingly said out loud, you have to do better than that
to scare me, while being unsure if what had just happened was totally normal or something
supernatural. At the time, the dryer was not running, thought that would be important to mention.
One of the more disturbing events that happened actually occurred early on to us living in the house.
It's either the most unexplained occurrence that we had or the biggest coincidence in human history.
This was just after my grandparents passed away in 2019, and all the relatives were gathered, getting ready for an estate sale, but more notably, gathering things they wanted to keep from my grandparents.
I didn't really take that much, just a coat from my grandpa, a stuffed orangutan for my infant daughter, some sewing patterns for my grandmother, and one other thing that I found tucked away in the closet that I had never seen before.
It was an old musical teaching tool known as a mechanical metronome.
It's kind of hard to explain what they look like over text, but it kind of resembles a pyramid-like
shape with an upward-facing pendulum that swings back and forth, queuing rhythm while making
ticking sounds and eventually a ding. This particular model seemed to be like it was from the
50s and had a bell attachment that allowed for the previously mentioned ding sound.
It was so unique to me that I had to take it home, so that's exactly what I did.
After a long day of sorting out affairs with my grandparents' estate, my little family and I gathered in the living room.
The sky was clear with no signs of a storm, but it was almost dark.
This detail is important.
Immediately I took out the new musical device,
and fiddled with the settings a little, turned the gears, placed it on the coffee table,
and removed the plastic covering, and immediately it swung to one side.
Tick.
And then to the other.
Tick.
Then back.
Tick.
Once more, and then ding.
And as soon as the bell chimes sounded, the entire house and surrounding neighborhood's power went completely out.
I remember having goosebumps and my wife claiming that my new toy was demonic.
And honestly, I kind of believed it.
but for some reason I kept it.
I remember that night being the start of everything that began happening in my house.
It was around this time that I began having an irrational fear of my attic space, that to this day,
I've never set foot in.
In my belief, this night caused every strange occurrence afterward from the nursery room,
to the clothes dryer door opening on its own to several other things.
One thing was that instead of losing clothes, we would find random bits of clothing all around our home.
Woman's clothing that did not belong to my wife.
You can imagine how that conversation went.
It was so common that I personally began to joke to myself that there was a phantom.
I swear I've never cheated.
Despite all this craziness, there are a few oddly humorous glitches that pop up from time to time.
my favorite one and the one that absolutely convinced me that all the phenomena are based off my house,
basically being a hub for all these glitches, or maybe even alternate dimensions.
My wife and I discovered it a few weeks ago, and we both recall the same thing.
The story went like this.
When my wife and I had started dating way back in 2016,
we and her family, including all future in-laws, went on a Disneyland trip.
One of the days was infamous for my wife and I eating one of those big turkey legs they sell at the park,
and after getting back to the hotel, I would be severely constipated and felt like I had no choice but to run to the drugstore to get laxatives.
The serving size of this was two chocolate squares.
However, it came with two chocolate bars, so me obviously not thinking straight ate both the bars.
Well, the next day I guess you could say had the opposite problem.
The thing is, I distinctly remember my wife and I having a photo of us pretending to take a bite out of the turkey leg at the same time.
She remembers the photo as well.
And, to an extent, the photo does exist, but we're not holding the infamous turkey leg, but a cone of cotton candy.
I could have sworn that we did this pose with the turkey leg, not cotton candy.
I even remember taking the photo, thinking it would be a fun and cute pose.
We would always reference that photo every time we joked about my unfortunate situation then,
like it was a photo taken moments before disaster kind of joke.
So there's my funny story with a glitch.
Hopefully you got your giggles out because I do have one last event to tell,
and this one sent me off the rails.
It was just another night, maybe one or two months ago.
My wife and I were in our bedroom with the only door in our house.
out locked so that we could color together. We weren't coloring. But it happened suddenly and totally
unexpected. There was a sudden and very audible knock echoing from our bedroom door,
immediately accompanied by the locked door handled jiggling hard. I would be lying if I said it didn't
startle me a little, but thinking it was just one of our kids, I simply responded with,
who is it? There was no response. My wife called out the same.
and still no answer.
Not knowing what else to do,
I threw some underwear back on to check
and make sure everything was okay.
By now, a reasonable amount of time passed.
When I finally opened the door,
there was nothing on the other side.
I was a little spooked,
but was not really ready to send myself into a panic yet.
Maybe one of my kids just walked back to their room
and they were the ones who knocked.
I went to my son's room,
room first, he was in a very deep sleep, and I could not do anything without waking him.
I also figured it wouldn't be him because whenever he tries to enter a room and need something
but the door is locked, he'll often whine. He's autistic, so it was more than likely not him.
Next, I went to my daughter's room. I was able to get her up and ask her if she knocked.
She shook her head and laid her head back down. I told her that she wouldn't be in trouble,
if she did, but I just needed to know. Again, she very sleepily shook her head and dozed off.
Now, I was panicking. My wife was convinced it was a demon deliberately interrupting intimacy,
but all I could think was that there was an intruder inside of my homes, so I checked every nook and cranny,
and even stood guard in the hall for about an hour until I, too, succumbed to my drowsiness.
The next day I asked the same thing to my daughter, and her answer was unchanged.
changed. That night, I checked every part of our home except for one place. At the time, I didn't
even think to check the attic. That place had given me the creeps for the longest time, but
I knew I had to check, and just kept backpedaling because I was in a state of pure panic,
and it severely damaged my reasoning for weeks. I was delirious. I eventually gathered the courage
to face my fears.
Though I did not have a ladder tall enough to enter and walk around the attic, I was able to get
high enough to open it and use a selfie stick in my phone to record the inside.
After enhancing the exposure and brightness, I was relieved to see that there was nothing out
of the ordinary.
There weren't any intruders in my attic.
That meant something is paranormal here.
My wife's theory never wavered from demons.
The only thing she agrees with is the cotton candy photo being from a different timeline,
but to me it just seems to all be connected.
What if my house is constantly shifting realities where things show up out of nowhere,
and things just happen randomly?
If interdimensional YouTube ever comes out,
and you're watching this and you ever remember opening a drier door
and feels like you opened one from another dimension,
or you tried opening the door to the matter,
master bedroom only to find it locked inexplicably? Can you please come get your clothes?
I want to bring up why I'm writing this submission. It's because a few days ago I came across
that old metronome while cleaning my desk drawers. It was broken beyond repair, likely because it
was crushed under everything else I had in there. It made me think to all the things that had
happened since the bell had chimed all those years ago, and kind of started connecting my own dots.
I immediately discarded it hoping everything would end.
Hopefully I won't have any more crazy submissions, and if I do, hopefully it does not make me go insane this time.
Anyways, thanks, Raven.
I spent part of my childhood living in the Chalby Deserts in northern Kenya.
From 2005 to 2009, my parents were missionaries working with the mission organization and the local church to minister to the nomadic Gabra people.
It was a remote, spiritually intense place where ancestral worship and witch doctors were a very real part of the cultural landscape.
Spirits and demons are not just ideas to me.
They are real.
Their existence has been recorded and testified to for centuries across cultures.
While living in Africa, I saw real witch doctors and heard countless firsthand accounts of spiritual encounters.
When I was about seven or eight years old, I experienced something that changed me.
I don't remember every detail myself, some of what I know was told to me later, but I do remember not feeling in control.
It wasn't dramatic like the movies portray.
There was no levitating, voices, or violent thrashing.
Instead, it was uncontrollable outbursts and strange mannerisms and actions that were not my own.
Whether it was something initiated through local spiritual practices or simply a direct demonic attack, I can't say with certainty.
What I do know is that my parents, along with their missionary team and local pastors, took it seriously.
For three days, they prayed over me constantly.
They spoke the name of Jesus and commanded whatever was afflicting me to leave.
After those three days, something shifted.
It wasn't theatrical, there was no dramatic collapse.
It just felt like a force was leaving me,
almost like a strong gust of wind pushing out from inside of my body.
And immediately afterward, I felt fully myself again.
Clear, presence, and in control.
Since that moment, nothing like it has ever happened again.
You can believe what you want.
I'm simply sharing what I experienced.
And while my experience wasn't caused by it,
I would strongly caution against playing with things like Ouija boards.
They're often treated as harmless games,
but in my view, they can open doors to things far greater than people realize.
and far harder to control.
Hi, Raven. I hope you're well.
I've been hearing your podcast for months
and was thinking ever since
if I should send you one of my paranormal stories.
Well, here's one.
I'm a business owner from an island in the Caribbean,
and I have a two-story bar.
Downstairs, there's a wine bar,
and upstairs I have a private room for private events.
I've had many times where people that are gifted
that have the ability to see spirits,
tell me that I have a spirit in my bar
and primarily upstairs in my private room.
I'm not a skeptic.
I do consider myself a believer of the supernatural and paranormal
and also can feel things,
but I cannot and have never seen apparitions nor spirits.
This one time I went upstairs alone,
and I'd walked my way upstairs and went to clean
and arrange the area for an upcoming event.
I have a wine rack type of furniture
where I hold wines and also a picture frame
that a friend of mine had painted for me.
It's been there for many years.
I never move it.
Now, mind you, the windows are closed
and I only have an AC up there.
So, while cleaning, I then hear the painting move.
And then suddenly, before my eyes,
it shoved with force down to the floor.
It scared the hell out of me, but I still tried to hold my composure, and immediately I shouted,
You shouldn't have done that.
I told the spirit that I knew it was there, and that she needed to respect me too and not scare me like that.
I picked up the painting and placed it back where it was.
To this day, it's still there.
A little extra information on the spirit.
Since I have many friends that are gifted in one way or the other, they've told me that
the spirit is a she, and has been here for a long time.
And it's what they call a friendly spirit, because most people to visit me at the bar tell
me that they feel a very nice feeling coming from my place, and it makes them feel welcomed.
I do have more stories, but this one is a good one.
Anyway, have a good one, and keep up the good work, and many blessings.
Hi, Raven.
is Alexis, and I've been a listener for about a year now, and I love your podcast. I would like to tell
you a story about my first scary experience with sleep paralysis. A little background first. My dad
worked four counties away from our home as a coal miner at the time. When he would work night shift,
my mom would have me and my brother sleep in her room as she felt more comfortable that way.
I've had sleep paralysis since I was seven. At first, my demon would be small things.
For example, my parents had a mirror on the inside of their bathroom door, and the hooks were on the outside.
Whenever I had an episode, the hooks would turn into snakes that would slither down the door.
Around 11 years old, I had another episode.
I was expecting to see the snakes going down the door as usual, but my attention turned toward the closet,
where I saw my dad standing there in his work clothes.
I was very confused as to why he was just standing there in the closet.
when it dawned on me.
My dad was counties away from us working night shift.
The figure stepped closer to me, and that's when I realized the demon had taken a different shape.
I tried to kick and scream, but I was frozen in place.
As it stepped closer, I could see that it was a solid black figure that had red ruby-like eyes.
As it got to the foot of the bed, I was finally able to move and scream.
My screams woke my mom and brother, and I told her what it had.
happened. Ever since then, I have slept with any source of light, whether it be a desk
lamp or the TV, on, and I haven't seen the demon since then. The fact that he looked like
my dad in his work uniform and had red eyes still haunts me to this day. If you'd like to hear
more stories, I do have quite a few, and thank you for letting me share this. This happened in
2019 in a small Florida town filled with aging buildings. Some still standing and some long
forgotten. A few of them were old homes that had been abandoned but never torn down. One in
particular had always caught my attention. It was a two-story cabin-esque structure,
faded brown from years of weather and neglect. I had planned to check it out with a friend,
but she never showed. Even so, curiosity got the better of me. I knew a few things about the
place, the electricity was still running, and the owner had apparently allowed homeless people
to squat there from time to time. For once, I made what I would call a smart decision. I stayed
outside. I brought my dad's cannon camera and started taking photos from different angles.
The house stood quiet and still, no movement and no sounds. Just the humid Florida air and the
creek of old wood shifting in the breeze. I snapped about 10 to 15 pictures and had to be. I snapped about 10 to 15 pictures and
headed home. Later that night, I uploaded the photos onto the computer, and nothing seemed unusual.
It was just an old house with dark windows and peeling paint. It wasn't until I pulled the
same pictures up on my phone getting ready to send them to my friend that I saw it, or rather them.
In the second floor landing window stood what looked unmistakably like the figure of a young girl.
She had long black hair, no visible eyes, and wore what looked like an older, light blue dress.
She was staring directly out the window at me.
Then I noticed the lower window down on the ground floor hallway beneath the stairs, and there was another figure.
It was a small boy, his head slightly tilted as if he was confused or curious.
He looked outward the same way the girl had.
neither figure had been visible when I was standing there
I tried to find any history on the house afterward
or any incident reports or news
just anything that might explain what I had seen
but nothing came up
no tragedies and no records just silence
and honestly
I'm glad that I never went inside

Don't forget that.
Until next time, much love and sleep well.
Recently, our company's softball team lost the big game by one run.
Then Dale tried to console us with the quote,
winning isn't everything.
Well, Dale and I
are very different.
I get early payout from Bet365.
If my team goes up big, I get paid out instantly,
even if they blow the lead later.
Sound familiar, Dale?
Thanks, Bet365.
