Starting point is 00:00:30 spreadsheets. Yes? Good. This is for you. Because on Spotify, there's an audience that's different. Locked in. Loyal, invested. They're called fans. Fans don't just listen to music. They feel seen by it, like it belongs to them. So when your brand shows up on Spotify, that's who you're talking to. And you're right next to artists like me, Lizzo. So, are you ready to talk to fans? Spotify advertising. You're among fans. Hello their friends and happy Monday, I think. Yes. Sometimes the day is kind of bored together.
Starting point is 00:01:05 Not going to lie on that one. That's just, uh, that's the life of working at home, though, right? Things kind of mash together, and by things, I mean, days. So, anyways, today we have some glitch in the Matrix stories, as the thumbnail probably demonstrates, you know, thumbnails kind of do that, and the titles and the descriptions. Anyways.
Starting point is 00:01:28 Uh, here. If you enjoy glitch stories, you'll like this one. If you don't, you won't. It's kind of how that works, right? I don't plug stuff very often, but let's say if you want to send me a story, an experience, go to Astherravendreams.com and click the button to send it my way. You can also email me at Astherraven Dreams at gmail.com. Both will get to me.
Starting point is 00:01:49 And with that said, let's get on to them stories. I have been suspicious that we might be living in a world beyond our understanding for a long time. The simulation theory has been uncomfortable for me to accept, but, unfortunately, given the technological singularity we find ourselves in, it does seem possible, or even probable, that we are living in such a situation. One of the most alarming ways that I have felt the simulation could be real is in the universe responding to my thoughts and ideas, often immediately or within a day or two. The number of times as this has happened is alarming, and the situations are so unlikely as to be statistically impossible in my mind. I would like to share two quick examples of this happening and ask others if they are having similar experiences. It's worth noting that these occurrences seem to happen more frequently, along with time speeding up. I always equated this to aging, but I'm not so sure anymore.
Starting point is 00:03:01 I live in a townhouse complex that is across the street from a convenience store. I visit almost daily for a coffee, gas, or other goods, and this has gone on for several years without fail. I never really considered the store layout until I needed to top up oil for my car, and I didn't have time to go anywhere else. I grabbed some oil, but as I did so, I found it odd that these supplies were placed right at the entrance of the store. I realized that it has always been like this. I just hadn't noticed.
Starting point is 00:03:36 A normal person might not ever think about such a thing, but I work in sales and marketing and have some experience increasing conversions and profit margins at retail stores. These types of products are rarely purchased, but in the event of an emergency or something they definitely should have on hand. As such, they would normally be positioned
Starting point is 00:03:57 in some forgotten corner of the store, and higher profits and impulse spy-type products would be placed at this location. I thought nothing more of the situation than it was an odd merchandising choice, but as I was leaving, I had a very specific thought that it would probably make more sense to place chips in that spot. Candy bars might melt in the sun coming in the window, but customers would be far more likely to grab a bag of chips while waiting in line than engine oil, a car air freshener or a tire pressure testing device.
Starting point is 00:04:29 It is important to note that I didn't mention this to anyone, and why would I? It was just a passing thought. A few days later, I walked back into the store for a coffee, and I stopped dead in my tracks. There's a staff member on his knees loading the shelf where the auto supplies had been with a giant box of chips. Clearly, in the middle of transitioning the chips to the exact spot I had thought about only a few days before, and the car and engine supplies had been moved somewhere else into the store. I was standing there with my jaw on the floor. The man noticed and looked over at me,
Starting point is 00:05:07 at which point I said, Why are you doing this? He looked at me strangely, and so I followed up with the truth. I told him that I had thought about the fact that the chips were oddly placed in the store and should have been at the front instead of the car supplies. He then laughed and said, Order came from head office to re-merchandise the store. I walked away before things got weirder than they needed to be with me standing there,
Starting point is 00:05:32 but I could not believe what I had just seen. What really freaks me out about this is that it had been the same for seven years. But yet the moment I had the thought, things changed, almost immediately. What's even more odd is that after it spent some time like this, maybe six months, it went back to the old way. Maybe it converted better after all when the chips were next to the candy bars because they go together, and the entrance of the store is in fact the dead space. I have no idea.
Starting point is 00:06:06 But it's almost as if the universe tested it out just for me. Either that, or I somehow picked up on the vibrations or something that management had put out into the universe by thinking of changing this tour around in the first place. The possibility this was entirely random seems impossible. The truth is, I'll never know. Another instance of this took place just yesterday. I ordered a coffee from somewhere other than this normal spot, and the worker had put the lid on right over the seam. This, of course, leads to leaks, and I had to reposition the lid.
Starting point is 00:06:43 I thought about how I always take the time when making my coffees to place the lid properly, but realized that in a fast-paced, low-paying environment, this would be a very easy thing to not consider. I had the idea that the cup should be marked in some way to indicate where the sipping side was. To my absolute shock, the very next morning I opened my phone and there was a story on Instagram, showing a coffee cup with a little line in a marking that says sip hole right above it. And people in the comments were discussing the merits of the design. These stories might not be the most bizarre glitch stories you've read, but the number of them I have had. experienced and continue to experience is truly mind-blowing. It's as if someone is reading my thoughts or the universe is somehow able to manifest things into a reality
Starting point is 00:07:37 based on my thoughts. I also would love to know if other people have experiences like this. He never specified the year, but he clearly remembers it happening shortly. after moving into a new house in the same town. Since the house was in the same town, the layout of the house was similar to their old home. You went to the living room and passed a small closet in the hallway.
Starting point is 00:08:47 On the left, there's two bedrooms, and on the left of that, a full bathroom and a master bedroom on the right side of the hall. The kitchen was in front of the living room with a small wall separating on the right side. Anyway, my dad and uncle were sitting at the kitchen table playing cards, or dice or something, when they saw my aunt walk through the door. They both looked up and greeted her. He said that she just looked at them in a confused way and walked down the hall. They assumed she went to her room.
Starting point is 00:09:18 He said they didn't hear a door close or anything, and that he and my uncle just laughed at my aunt's expression and said, where did she come from? And they assumed that she had went out drinking due to her expression and not saying anything to them. They were all in the early 20s, and it was before cell phones, so everyone was given oral updates and reports when they came home from work. About ten minutes go by, and my grandma walks in with groceries, and right behind her was my aunt. My dad and uncle looked at each other and laughed and asked my aunt,
Starting point is 00:09:55 how did you do that? Did you jump out the window or something? My aunt asked what they were talking about, and they said, You literally just walked in and went back to your room. How did you get outside so fast? All while trying to keep it light and cheery. My uncle then said, You even have the same clothes on. Did you sneak past us?
Starting point is 00:10:20 My aunt said that she had left earlier that morning with my grandma to run errands and to go grocery shopping. She said that she didn't go anywhere last night. My dad and my uncle went down the hall to my aunt's room and she followed behind. Window was closed. Door was closed. Closet left the same as my aunt had it. The other surprising thing was my aunt noticed quickly that a leather jacket was draped on the door handle. She said that jacket went missing a few weeks before when she went into the city for a concert and a night out on the town. She clearly remembers searching for it in her friend's car and at the hotel and the bar and event center.
Starting point is 00:11:03 She couldn't find it, so she took the loss and was just glad that she still had her purse and important items. She was puzzled about the jacket, and my uncle and dad were puzzled about how she walked in the house twice within ten minutes. Had my aunt in another universe experienced a time glitch? Maybe somewhere in a different universe, my aunt got home with her jackets and then lost it? I'm a new listener. I've really enjoyed the show and have been listening a lot while at work and in the car. I'm happy to have a platform to share my glitch. A couple of years ago, I went to San Antonio, Texas for a convention.
Starting point is 00:11:53 My mom accompanied me as well. As always, I packed my iPad and AirPods for the plane ride. I am a nervous flyer, so having music or an audiobook is essential. In addition, AirPods block out all of the nerve-wracking airplane sounds. I had my AirPods on the way up because I listened to a book. I had them at the hotel while watching movies on my iPad, and finally I had them on the airplane on the way home. Halfway through the plane ride, the batteries were low,
Starting point is 00:12:26 so I took them out and put them in my backpack. I specifically remember putting them in a pocket with a zipper so they would not fall out. I also had chocolate in that pocket, which I removed so it wouldn't melt and ruin my AirPods. Now, let me stress that I absolutely remember putting them in this pocket, zipping it, and not unzipping it until I got home. Once we landed, I checked the seat and the floor to make sure I had not left anything and then departed the plane. When I got home, I started to unpack and went to put things back on chargers, and I opened the pocket. No AirPods. I was so upset.
Starting point is 00:13:07 Did I drop them or lose them in the airport? I did the find my option on my phone, and my AirPods were last active somewhere over New Mexico, basically while I was in flight. I figured they must have fallen out and are now somewhere in the abyss or on the airplane. Later that day, I was telling my husband how bummed I was that I lost my AirPods on the plane. He says, did you get another pair already? Because there's a set on the shelf in the dining room. I had not bought a replacement yet. I just got home.
Starting point is 00:13:41 I walked over to the dining room and sitting there on the shelf were my AirPods. My AirPods, in the same floral case and with the same hot pink backpack clip, just sitting on the shelf in my dining. room. My jaw dropped. I told him there was no way these were mine. I had them with me the whole time. He states that he found them on the floor three days ago and put them on this shelf. I asked him if he was positive and he said that he almost stepped on them and recalls thinking to himself how surprised he was that I did not take them with me three days ago. I was in Texas using my AirPods, these exact AirPods three days ago.
Starting point is 00:14:27 I checked the Find My App again, and they now showed up in my house. How is it that they were with me on the plane, but at home at the same time? Also, my mom distinctly remembers me having my AirPods on the trip, because she commented on the cute case on the plane, and she saw me use them at night watching some movies. So, needless to say, this is all too bizarre. I was freaking out. I'm still freaking out. I hope you and your listeners enjoyed my glitch in the Matrix
Starting point is 00:14:58 because to this day I am still baffled by the whole experience. Hello, Raven. I think I've listened to every story you've narrated or at least had it playing in the background anytime I do anything when I'm home by myself. It's a pleasure. It's become a comfort sound to me. That brought me to the conclusion
Starting point is 00:15:28 that it's time for my contribution. This story is not mine, but a retelling herd from my uncle, a straightforward and reasonable man. My mom's side of the family is from Australia. Her brother, my uncle, Rick, we will call him, had no children or spouse and was a bit of an adventurer. Sometime during the 90s, he was on one of these adventures, a motorcycle trip across the territory of Queensland. He had packed light, including lightweight camping gear and, I'm not a motorcycle. I'm assuming some non-perishable food items. He was a couple days into his trip,
Starting point is 00:16:06 when he decided to pull over at dusk one evening. The area was vast farmland, and mostly void of traffic or civilization, other than the occasional farmhouse or barn. The area where he had stopped was a safe distance from the road and had ample space for his tent and bike without disturbing any of the planted vegetation in the field.
Starting point is 00:16:28 Way off in the distance, there was a tractor, making its way up and down the rows with a small dust cloud behind. He found it odd that they would be working at this hour of the day, but didn't question it much since he himself was not a farmer. After setting up his tents, he prepared his evening meal, no fire since it was probably privately owned land. After he finished eating and dark approached, the tractor continued making its pattern up and down the rows of the field. It's slightly closer than when he had initially pulled over. He watched for a minute curiously,
Starting point is 00:17:04 but as the tractor was equipped with headlights, he thought that maybe the driver was trying to beat a deadline, or something of that nature. The evening progressed, and it was time for bed. As he zipped up his tent and laid down in his sleeping bag, he fell asleep to the sound of the tractor, continuing its pattern. A few hours later, he was startled awake,
Starting point is 00:17:26 realizing that the tractor was now very close to his station, tent. He sat upright while he gathered his disoriented thoughts, and he heard it approaching. The quick thought ran through his mind that the driver might not see his tent promising a certain demise. He speedily fumbled with the zipper and clambered out of his tent, prepared to wave his arms, hauler, do whatever necessary to alert the driver to his presence, but as soon as he was out of the tent and looked to where the tractor would have been approaching from, he saw nothing. He stood up and turned looking in all directions. Nothing.
Starting point is 00:18:06 No lights, no sound, no tire tracks, no other vehicles. Nothing but the quiet of a warm late spring evening. To this day, we still ask him to retell this story, and we're always left in wonder what this was. He never shared any other stories pertaining to unexplainable things, and as far as I can tell, this story is the truth. If you decide to use this on your channel, I thank you. And I speak for us all when I say it's truly an enjoyable listen. Thank you very much. Hi, Raven.
Starting point is 00:18:51 This is a story about something that happened to me over a few years ago. I'm not sure what category this might be in, but I've heard some categorize it as quantum immortality. Basically, this is when one should have died at a certain point. whether it be from an accident they had or by some other means. Some may also call it soul jumping, etc. I was in my mid to late 40s, and after a long life of much suffering, the last straw was losing my beloved Lorelei, my soul animal, kitty.
Starting point is 00:19:24 I was beyond devastated, truly inconsolable. No exaggeration, I cried every single day and night for a full year straight. then pretty consistently after that as well for some time. I was suicidal and decided one day I was going to proceed with ending at all. I ingested approximately 400 milligrams of methadone, combined also with some narcotics such as Xanax, Vicodin, and Percocet. I swallowed them all with the liquid methadone and thought to myself, okay, this is it.
Starting point is 00:19:59 I'll just lie down, probably feeling tired and drift away into the big sleep. But as I lay there waiting and waiting, nothing happened. I mean, nothing. Eventually, after a few hours or more, I just felt regular tired and went to sleep out of boredom. I didn't even stay asleep for a long time. And when I woke up, I only had the slightest of headaches. That was it. But very quickly, I started to notice a lot of changes in me and told my roommate at the time,
Starting point is 00:20:32 I feel like a different person. I said this over and over throughout the span of a year or so. Eventually, I stopped saying it, but still felt it. I can't begin to tell you the things that were physically, psychologically, or emotionally different about me. It was quite obvious.
Starting point is 00:20:51 My taste in food changed, my clothing style, etc. My perspective was completely different. The list goes on. I also told my then roommate that I believed that I did die, but they kicked me out or turned me away. Now, upon reflection, I'm not sure if it actually happened this way or my soul just made the
Starting point is 00:21:12 decision to return, or a different soul entered my body. After all, what are you going to do with eternity anyways, right? But we are eternal beings just having a human experience. Which brings to mind that I actually look slightly different than I did prior to this incident as well. Although I have no recollection of dying or having any type of near-death experience, I'm sure that I did die. There's no way I not only could have survived with everything that I ingested, but then having no negative repercussions either. It just isn't feasible. I have always been a very spiritual person, not religious, but spiritual, big difference. But I was even more so after this.
Starting point is 00:21:58 I now have a true love for all life, including myself, which I never could say before. When I first woke up from this attempt, I was genuinely pissed that I was still alive. I believe I actually said out loud, what the hell? But as I've said, it took a very short time for me to have a completely different perspective of it all and of life in general. I would be very interested to know if you decide to read this in one of your videos, if anyone has any input on this. what do others think may have happened? Personally, I know as I always have that I didn't make it. But did I just jump into a different reality?
Starting point is 00:22:39 Or did a different soul come into my body? Or more of my soul enter my body when I came back? More of my higher self, possibly. It's a head scratcher, that's for sure. Either way, I'm grateful for it now. Years later, I still seem to be upgrading. It's pretty cool and down the rabbit hole, some might say, and I love it. Thanks for reading this.
Starting point is 00:23:04 Stay well. Stay awesome. And love to you all. Hey, y'all. It's Kelly Clarkson with Wayfair. Ever order furniture online and wonder what if? Like, what if it doesn't hold up? That sofa was four days old. You should have ordered from Wayfair. With Wayfair, there's no what if.
Starting point is 00:23:22 Just style you love and quality you can trust. Visit Wayfair.ca. Wayfair, every style, every home. Our vacuum has vanished. On Sunday of this week, me, 26 female, and my fiancé, 28 male, had part of our vacuum disappear. Unless we're misremembering, which is one theory that I have, this is the order of events. My fiancé, let's call him B, woke up before me, and fed our two bunnies, and was going to vacuum up a bit of hay on the floor, but noticed our vacuum was dead.
Starting point is 00:24:03 Here's the vacuum setup. we have a rechargeable vacuum that has three main parts, the handheld main mechanism where the battery and filter are, the tube, and the floor attachment piece that makes it from a handheld vacuum to a regular one. We don't have many outlets in our living room and didn't want it to be out all the time. So we have the charging cord and hanging spots set up in the garage,
Starting point is 00:24:27 which is right off of the kitchen for the vacuum. Sunday morning, B goes and takes the vacuum to the garage, takes off the floor piece, hangs it up and plugs it in and goes about his day. Later, I went to go grab the vacuum to clean up some fur around the living room and went to the garage and saw the main part of the vacuum wasn't there. I asked B where he put it, and he had no idea what I was talking about since he had hung it up this morning. The cord is there. The hook to hang it is there. The bottom piece that goes on the floor is there.
Starting point is 00:25:03 but no vacuum. We searched our entire house top to bottom multiple times. Our house isn't large. We don't have kids. We hadn't had people over the night before, and the garage door was closed. We have no idea where it could have gone, if someone took it or if it disappeared.
Starting point is 00:25:25 It started to freak us out a bit, so we called my brother to get another opinion, and he told us that we should take a video of the whole house and everything in it, in case we go look tomorrow and it's back. That way we can tell if we somehow missed it, the first time, or if it really wasn't there. B took a video and there is no vacuum in it at all.
Starting point is 00:25:47 B even went so far as to check the attic, the trash outside, the yard in every cabinet just in case one of us sleepwalked and moved it somehow. Here are our theories, and I would love to hear more because none of them are making sense. We left the garage door open, and someone came in and took it. The problem with this one is that they didn't take the other pieces next to it, or the changing cord, or the more expensive tools, or lawnmower and batteries plugged in next to it. Or, we are misremembering, and he didn't plug it in in the morning, but one of us actually sleepwalked and moved it in the middle of the night.
Starting point is 00:26:27 B is known to sleepwalk and talk, but I've never seen him pick up anything in his sleep. I used to sleepwalk as a kid but haven't in years. Or a ghost. Someone living in the walls messing with us. Or a friend came over and is trying to pull the lamest prank ever but won't fess up. A twilight zone kind of vibe? Maybe a portal. If anyone has any ideas of where to look, what this could be or what could have happened to it,
Starting point is 00:26:57 please let me know. And I will update if we ever. located. So, Opie did update their post. Definitely an odd one, though. A little more reasonable, but still odd. So here's the update. Update. We found it last night. My partner has been using his work truck since he's been out of town for work during the weeks and home on the weekends for the past few weeks. His regular car was parked in the garage the whole time, and the vacuum was under the car. We have no idea how it would have fallen off the hanging rack,
Starting point is 00:27:36 bounced over the lawnmower and under the car so completely that we wouldn't see it at all when looking for it. It hasn't ever fallen off before, and it's shocking that we wouldn't have heard it fall since our walls are really thin. So, mystery resolved-ish? Hi, Raven. I'm in my 70s now, and I've been married to my husband for nearly 48 years.
Starting point is 00:28:12 Early in the marriage, we discovered some interesting commonalities between his mother and myself. We shared the same birthday, August 15th. Mine, 1952, hers 1925, last two digits inverted. We also had the same surgeries.
Starting point is 00:28:30 And there were a few other things that popped up over the years, and of course we both had her son in common. When I was around 30, I had surgery that required bed rest. My mother-in-law would have been about 57 at this time. There were no cell phones back then. The really cool invention we enjoyed was the telephone with an extra long extension cord.
Starting point is 00:28:53 If you had an extra long extension cord, you were as modern as you could get. Our telephone was on the wall in the kitchen. We had a sunken living room with a large modular couch. Again, as modern as you could get back then. I was healing for my surgery on that couch in front of the TV. I was in a good deal of pain, so when the telephone rang in the kitchen, I was aggravated that I had to walk up the step into the kitchen to answer it. It was my mother-in-law.
Starting point is 00:29:25 I couldn't stand and talk, so I walked back into our sunken living room and back to our modular couch, courtesy of my extra long extension cord. Whenever my mother-in-law called, it would not be a short-reliven. conversation. We had a nice chat sharing information about the family, but the chat turned into an unusually long discussion. I grew up knowing that according to good manners, the one receiving the call does not hang up first, but I was in pain for my surgery, tired from talking, and quite frankly, I had run out of things to say. I finally asked, so Betty, what did you call me about? And she answered, why, honey, I didn't call you. You called me. I knew that I did not
Starting point is 00:30:13 call her. I had been annoyed to have to get up to go get the phone from the kitchen. But I also believed her. She was sharp in her 50s. She lived well into her 80s, and she still was sharp. Now, I wasn't weirded out by this. I had been reading about this theory that we each have counterparts, or people who are deeply connected to our soul family. We may never meet the counterparts, may meet them in passing, or they may be parts of our earthly family. So, I was delighted to see that my mother-in-law was indeed one of my counterparts. We both had a good laugh about the incident, neither of us admitting to having made the call.
Starting point is 00:30:54 I think I said something like, well, the universe must have thought that we needed to connect. The counterpart theory would not have gone over well in her belief system, but intuitively I think we both knew my reasoning made sense. Moreover, I knew my mother-in-law had a wall phone in her kitchen as well. She was not likely to have forgotten that she stood at the phone to make a call. Sometimes we think of glitches as something that wasn't meant to happen, or at least something we weren't supposed to notice, but I wonder if there are no coincidences. I wonder if glitches are meant to make us question what is going on and to search deeper for answers. Hi, Raven.
Starting point is 00:31:48 So, this happened to me about eight years ago. My vehicle at the time didn't have any Bluetooth capabilities. It was an O2 Camry, and the only way to hook up my phone to my car was to use a cassette tape that plugged directly into my phone. It wasn't wireless, and it was almost always finicky. So it was either that or the radio. I was driving back to my apartment from a friend's house. It was dark out, light traffic, something like 9 or 10 p.m., on a road that I've driven hundreds of times.
Starting point is 00:32:24 No GPS, phone on my passenger seat, listening to the radio, like usual. It was a 30 or 35 mile per hour road, and I was in no hurry. Then, suddenly, the radio became like, static, until it turned silent. I just kind of kept driving, since is heightened from the peculiarity, when a voice came over my radio. It was a female voice that said,
Starting point is 00:32:52 in a half a mile, turn right onto University Drive. Then more static, and the radio tuned back in on its own. I was shocked and confused, and genuinely frightened because in about half a mile, sure enough, There's a university drive on my right. I continue driving, literally speechless.
Starting point is 00:33:16 When all of a sudden the static happens again, it goes silent and that same voice came on to say, in 200 feet, turn right onto University Drive. Then a brief pause, and the static happens once more. Then the music slowly tunes back in. I have chills at this point. looking around clueless for some kind of answer. I end up passing University Drive and just kind of stared down that road while I did. My phone was not hooked up to the cassette tape,
Starting point is 00:33:52 and my GPS wasn't even on, and I've had no experience of someone else's GPS ever coming in over my radio. The scariest part, the part that gives me chills, even as I write this now, is that the voice sounded live. I could hear the silence in between her words, like it was some lady in real time giving me those directions. It didn't sound like Siri or any other familiar map's voice. What I pictured in my head was a lady at some desk saying it to me in real time.
Starting point is 00:34:29 It's a huge regret of mine not turning down that road that night, and countless times over the years, I've asked my radio to give me another chance. I was just so baffled at the time I couldn't process it quick enough. I still can't. I've probably told less than five people about this experience, but I am happy to share it with you guys. I'm not sure if it was a glitch, but it was definitely out of the ordinary.
Starting point is 00:34:57 And to this day, I have no good explanation. Hi, Raven. I'm writing in about an example. experience I just had an hour ago. Maybe it's odd, this is my first inclination, but I needed to be heard so that I don't feel insane. Throughout my life, especially as a child, I experienced sleep paralysis nearly every night. A dark figure standing in the corner, someone curled up in my partially opened closet,
Starting point is 00:35:35 a family member's voice speaking clearly in my room while everyone was asleep, the feeling of hands pressing down on my leg or of a weight shifting on my bed, as if someone had plopped on the end of it. Even fingers tracing me. And I couldn't move at all, just completely frozen. That part of my brain was fast asleep. Along with this, I also heavily experienced this sensation of floating, not sleep paralysis, before I drifted off to sleep.
Starting point is 00:36:05 It felt as if I were leaving my body and floating into this space-like void. It was a buzzing and tingling experience, as if I were pure energy in my own form, but without skin. I would float up and up. I genuinely thought everyone experienced this until later in life. But eventually it also stopped happening to me. In the past few years, I've gotten more into meditation and calming my nervous system. I would definitely be considered a spiritual person
Starting point is 00:36:36 and have heavy intuition about bigger picture existential things, as well as being very good at reading energy, whether individually or a collective. However, I'm not someone who really has spiritual rituals, unless you count journaling. I guess I'm more on the spiritual and philosophical side, and I generally believe that we as humans are blind to what existence really is, and to certain bigger truths. Anyway, despite having no strong practices, I guess that doesn't make me immune to what.
Starting point is 00:37:10 weird stuff happening. Last night, as I was falling asleep, for the first time and forever, I experienced the floating sensation, and it was stronger than I ever did as a child. I literally was thinking as it was happening, oh my God, it's happening again, and I was so excited to be in that weird, energetic form. Everything around me was dark hues of blue and purple, and just black and space-like. It felt as if I was being pushed forward, but upward at the same time. Then it quickly went from fun to terrifying as bold, almost iridescent sea-green text
Starting point is 00:37:52 started flashing across the field of space. I can't recall what the first words were saying, and some were overlapping as the messages changed quickly, but I was clearly thinking to myself as this text flashed, I'm not thinking this. This is not full. from me. And I cannot stress this enough.
Starting point is 00:38:15 I felt no attachment or connection to the words appearing in front of my eyes, but they were all directed toward me. The last message to pop up kept saying, start again, start again, and different colors started flooding from the top, like pockets of different settings or places pixelating downwards. I started to feel this vacuum-like sensation, as if my energy was in the midst of being,
Starting point is 00:38:40 forced or sucked into somewhere else. Raven, when I tell you that I started freaking out, I was hyperventilating, at least from my perception, and half awake seeing this. I had to shake my head violently, but it was like it was glued to the messages for a second, and I had to unstick from them. This is where it became similar to my experience of sleep paralysis as a child.
Starting point is 00:39:09 Back then, whenever I would escape, an episode, I would fall asleep back into it again, looping the experience several times before being able to wake up, often eight or so times. This time, though, after I forced the visions away and woke up entirely, I quickly fell into sleep. But as I woke up again later, able to move my body, so again, not sleep paralysis, my room was almost flickering. Just traces of a deep R.E.M. sleep, right? Well, fun fact, but I have curtains that kind of divide my room in half,
Starting point is 00:39:51 and they run in front of my bed. As I'm sitting up waiting for my room to look clear again, I hear a girl's voice talking from behind the curtain directed towards me. I can't remember what she said. It was no more than three sentences, but that's not the most. important part of hearing an unknown voice inside of your bedroom behind your curtain. It was the same as any other voice in terms of how it felt to hear it. Also, my mom and I are the only women in the house, and I sure as hell didn't recognize
Starting point is 00:40:22 whoever that was. Logically, I could tell myself this is just one of those weird sleep experiences, but the amount of fear that I felt in my body, I can't even explain. I was begging myself to just wake up fully, but in perfect fashion, I slid back down and was pulled into sleep again against my will. Now, for the final experience that happened an hour ago. I woke up, and again was in this half-awake state where I could move and look around, but it was the essence of a deep meditation or sleep. The only thing out of place Was this white rectangular pillar next to my bed
Starting point is 00:41:05 And floating above it Was this faceless child or baby dressed in black and white stripes A baby with no face Straight up, I do not want to sleep again tonight Nor would I I could feel it looking at me and I hated every second of it I turned towards my wall to try and and face away from it, but it's like my peripheral vision was just feeling extra powerful,
Starting point is 00:41:35 because even when facing the wall, I could still see it. Almost like I was outside of my body. Despite knowing I was awake, I just kept telling myself to wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up. At that point, my phone buzzed with a text notification because, like an unhealthy person, I sleep with it by my pillow. I picked it up and I see it's my mom. At this point, the scary vision starts to fade, and as I dialed her on a video call, freaked out, the experience ended. No baby, no random voice, no vacuum glitch, just my room, and my mom on the phone questioning why I sounded so alarmed.
Starting point is 00:42:18 And now, an hour later, I'm typing this and probably sounding insane. I am aware now that it could just be hypnagogic or hypnagogic hallucinations, but at the same time, I felt like there was a leak or opening into another world happening. The entire feeling was surreal. Also, to clarify, at the age of 25, I have never smoked, drank, or done any drugs at all, so nothing else was at play in this experience except whatever the heck my brain and or the universe was doing or showing me. It's been a long, long time since I felt fear from something intangible like this.
Starting point is 00:43:02 So, yeah. I apologize if all of this is completely incoherent, but I want you to know how much I genuinely appreciate your podcast, your kindness, and your space for people to open up about the odd and scary things in their lives that they may not be able to discuss with others. Maybe that's why I thought of you and your community so quickly, despite the unsettling experience. Because I know even though I'm freaking out now that others probably understand to an extent, and or, like yourself, are open and willing to listen. Thank you so much, Raven.
Starting point is 00:43:43 I do have a few other stories I may send in, as writing this now has inspired me to maybe give a voice to other small things in my life. Anyway, thank you for reading. I wish you, and patience, and all your listeners, a good day or night, always. Hi, Raven. I've had multiple strange happenings go on in my life. I was watching a video on your channel, and I heard you say sunglasses, and then get into the details about the sunglasses, and they were aviator sunglasses, and I was like, oh, like mine. I once saw the wall at my old school turn into Matrix code.
Starting point is 00:44:32 I saw a reddish plasma-like substance make out what appeared to be a car when riding my bike toward a crosswalk, breaking before I got close enough to the crosswalk, and I saw the same type of car that I saw with the plasma stop right at the crosswalk, and it was going way too fast. If it hadn't stopped, it would have hit me, but as weird and crazy as that is, that isn't the freakiest thing that's happened to me in terms of glitches. The weirdest glitch that happened to me happened to me at school with my phone.
Starting point is 00:45:04 The day started out like any other school day. I had a cup of coffee, unplugged my phone from the charger, walked out the front door and into the van. I turned my phone on and get into a game that I play all the times, which was Dragon Mania Legends. I played it until I got to the school and my school made us put our phones into a plastic bag
Starting point is 00:45:25 that then went into a plastic bin. It got searched with the school one because I went to a school that operated like a prison because it was for kids that misbehaved, fresh out of juvie and with disabilities, because the school system couldn't figure out that I just had high-functioning autism and I got diagnosed at 20.
Starting point is 00:45:45 It was harder to diagnose because I'm female. But back to the story, I turned my phone off and put it in, into my bag, then into the bin, and I headed to class. It skipped the end of the day when we get our phones back, and I'm waiting to get mine, that I know I brought that day. The staff who worked at the school told me they couldn't find my phone. I knew that I brought my phone that day.
Starting point is 00:46:11 I remembered holding it, the feeling of the broken glass on it from holding it that same morning. I even looked out the window for a moment and putting my attention back to the game. I was throwing a fit about it too because I thought that it got stolen by another kid, as I've had that happened to me before at that school. I go and get in the van and I tell the driver what happened, and she told me that I fell asleep on the way to school. But like I said before, I had my phone, and I played the game that I always played, and I felt the broken glass under my fingertips.
Starting point is 00:46:46 It's unmistakable. And I also remembered looking out the window that morning. How could I have looked out the window if I was asleep? What's even freakier is that when I got home, my phone was in the compartment of the couch and still plugged into the charger. I wouldn't have dreamed having my phone and feeling the glass and looking out the window. Anyway, thank you so much for reading my story, Raven. And thank you so much for submitting it.
Starting point is 00:47:23 I have a story that's almost identical to your lost wallet story. I'm a biker in photography and photography. enthusiast. Sometimes I like to take trips on my motorcycle and ride around town to take pictures. On a particularly nice day, I decided to do just that, so I grabbed my camera out of the camera bag but was missing the lens cap. Call me a stickler, but I like to have the lens cap on to protect it from dust and dirt. I searched the camera bag inside and out, and the cap was nowhere to be found. I also searched my knapsack where I often carry my camera. when I'm writing.
Starting point is 00:48:01 It might have fallen off in there. No lens cap. I even shook the knapsack upside down with the pockets open in case it was stuck in an inner pocket. It should have popped out if it was in there and still no luck. So I headed off to Best Buy to purchase a new one. No big deal. When I got to the store,
Starting point is 00:48:22 I took the camera out and showed it to a sales clerk, asking if he had a lens cap that fit my camera. He reached over to the counter, picked one up off the countertop and put it on my camera. It fit perfectly. So, I asked him if I could pay at his register rather than waiting in line at the register at the front of the store. He looked at me funny and asked, What are you talking about?
Starting point is 00:48:47 That lens cap is yours. Mine? I was stunned for a minute. Was I dreaming? Was I losing my mind? Once I recovered my composure, I asked him where he got it from. insisting that I had no idea where that lens cap came from. I assured him that I had looked everywhere for it
Starting point is 00:49:06 and there's no way that I had it on me when I entered the store. He then asked me how it was possible that a lens cap that happened to fit my camera just happened to be on the counter next to where we were standing. I had no answer. Chills ran up and down my spine, but I just shook my head and left the store. To this day, I have no idea where that lens was. lens cap came from and how it just appeared out of nowhere. Hi, Raven.
Starting point is 00:49:44 I've been lurking and listening for quite a while now. And while some of the Glitch in the Matrix stories told here are not what I personally would deem a real glitch in the Matrix, they are all fun to listen to, especially for sleeping. You've really got a calming voice, mate. Thank you kindly. So I thought I should throw my three humble stories into the pile to give something back. and all that. Keep in mind, while these three stories might be glitches in the Matrix, there might be other
Starting point is 00:50:15 explanations still that I didn't think of. Two of the stories I witnessed alone, and one I had my dad as a witness. That one is also the prime candidate to be real, so I'll save it for last, naturally. I'll keep them simple and short, because English is not my native tongue, and because the same sentence that applies to Douglas Adams does also apply to me. And that story is, he loves telling stories, but he hates writing them. In other words, I'm lazy A.F. I hope you and your listeners can still enjoy them.
Starting point is 00:50:50 Story 1. So while I was taking down my laundry from the clothes drying rack on the weekend one time, I noticed something odd. There was a particular boxer short hanging on the rack that had a small hole in it that I didn't bother to throw away. The problem was, I had a particular boxer short hanging on the rack that had a small hole in it that I didn't bother to throw away. I hadn't washed it yet. I just wore it the day before yesterday,
Starting point is 00:51:13 and it couldn't be on the rack with all the dry clothes. It should still be in the laundry basket. But I just counted it as odd and hung it down anyway. I put all my clothes into their spots and went on with my day. In the evening, however, this odd occurrence popped into my mind again. I think six hours or so had passed, so I was really curious and looked into the laundry, basket. Sure enough, that pair of boxer shorts with the hole was in the laundry basket as it should
Starting point is 00:51:45 have been. So maybe I just got another one of the same color with the same hole at the same spot. I opened my drawer and no. There were no boxer shorts with the hole. I only have this one. The most odd thing was because, as I said above, I'm lazy, I just put the ones I hung down on top of the ones that were already in the drawer. And in this stack, there weren't even ones that were the same as the ones with the hole. So it disappeared for some reason. Well, I guess it's better than having to throw away two at a not-so-far point in the future, I guess.
Starting point is 00:52:24 While I took it as I just imagined it, I still did not forget that occurrence. Story 2. This one is a bit more odd. So my bed is under my window and I had to put up an insect net on my window because somewhere there was a wasp nest nearby and a bunch had already visited me. So I stood on my bed and put that net onto the outside part of the window frame. And then I heard a loud crack. I sank in a bit and I smelled wood. Pine, to be exact, as one of the wooden support beams inside my bed frame had just broken under my weight. I was in shock.
Starting point is 00:53:06 This could have easily killed me if I had fallen out the window. I live on the fourth floor. After I calmed down a bit, I lifted my mattress to see what was broken, and there was nothing. All the beams were flawless. Even the pine smell from the broken wood was completely gone. These beams made out of pine were also fairly durable. That'll be something to keep in mind for later. Well, another odd occurrence, I guess.
Starting point is 00:53:34 I move on as we all do. Years later, I don't know how many. The same flat, but I have a new bed frame, and it's still under my window. I kneel on my bed because I don't stand on it anymore for obvious reasons, and I'm putting up and I don't know if even know what this is in the U.S., but it's a window air barrier for my mobile AC unit. The problem with these things is they create negative pressure while running. So if you have a German over-engineered window, you have to put something up to hold the exhaust hose and also keep the outside air out.
Starting point is 00:54:12 So we have these plastic cloth barriers that you have to put on Velcro tape for the window. As I lean forward and shift my weight on my knees to put the Velcro tape on a higher spot, I hear a cracking sound again. and yes, one support beam just broke. This time, no smell because the beams are birch, I think, and they're a lot less durable than the ones in my old bed frame. It broke at the same place as the other one should have broken back then. Well, okay, that's a given because I worked while I was in the same spot. And yes, it could just be coincidence, but I can't shake the thought
Starting point is 00:54:51 that I got to experience something in the past that should have only happened at a later point in the future when circumstances made more sense for it to play out. As I said, the beams in my old bed frame were pretty tough. And story three. The maybe possible real glitch one. Okay, best for last, and I'll try to describe it in more details now because details matter. 2018 or so, well, so much for details right from the start. Also, I heard about this thing that glitches started frequently happening more worldwide from that point on. I think this is just because we found a name for it and the topic became more widely popular on the internet.
Starting point is 00:55:38 If you associate a phenomenon with a specific name, you realize it more often. Well, before, you could just count it as odd. Bader-Mindhoff frequency illusion at its best. Sorry for the excursion. So in 2018, I was at a moment. my parents home for coffee and cake. That was the basis for the invitation, but I stayed much longer as usual. At that time, my niece lived with my parents, as her training company was much closer to them. My parents like to be parents. They had a spare room for the longest time now,
Starting point is 00:56:13 and they happily took her in. So there was this routine of my niece when she came home that I witness subconsciously, as I met my parents every other week or so. She opens the apartment door and closes it afterwards, naturally. Then she takes off her jacket, hangs it onto a hook, and takes off her shoes at the entrance, and storage them in a dresser. She puts on some slippers, as my mom hates it when anyone leaves sweaty footprints on the parquet flooring, so everyone has their own comfy slippers. This even applies to guests. Okay, so back to the routine. and less of my mom's housewife antics. My niece then walks down the hallway,
Starting point is 00:56:53 puts her key in the glass bowl that stands in the small wardrobe down the hallway, and depending on how her day was, she either walks right away into the living room or into her room. When you sit at the dining table in the living room, you can hear this play out pretty good as it's next to the hallway door. So me and my dad were sitting at the dinner table, looking for winter tires on eBay. He was on the laptop,
Starting point is 00:57:18 I was on my phone comparing the offers with each other. Then at some point, that routine of my niece, as I described, plays out. Someone walks in, closes the door, the sound of clothing, slippers, someone walking, clanking of keys in the bowl, and then nothing. Nobody came into the living room, and I didn't hear the door to my niece's room opening. Or anyone taking the door to the bathroom. That didn't strike me as odd because, like I said, I only noticed it subconsciously, and I just saved it up as my niece was at home. Maybe she had a bad day.
Starting point is 00:57:58 Time went on, and when dinner was ready, I asked my mom if my niece wasn't hungry. My mom then casually said, No, she has vocational boarding school this week. Then I said, but I heard her coming home in the afternoon, and my dad seconded what I said. my mother, now curious and worried, took off to her room to look for her. Maybe she had some problems with her roommate and decided to sleep at home, even if it's a two-hour drive for her. Nobody was there. So my mom called her because my dad and I swore that we had
Starting point is 00:58:34 heard her earlier. My mom put it on loudspeaker on her mobile, and my niece was in a good mood and told us that she was not home that day at any point. But it was also, also odd to her, and we all talked about what might have happened for a few minutes before we started dinner. I suggested that we might have heard the routine of someone above play out as the layout of the apartments is the same. But I didn't believe it for myself, as it sounded like it was coming from the hallway next to us, and it wasn't muffled as it would have been if it was coming from upstairs. Also, it was the exact routine we all witnessed subconsciously before.
Starting point is 00:59:17 Minus the opening of the living room door or the door to my niece's room. At that point, I already knew of glitch in the matrix phenomenon, and was pretty excited that I maybe witnessed some for the first time. I even had an explanation for it if it truly was a glitch. Isolated audio from a routine that vanished at the point of a variable to take place next, i.e. the two doors as a choice that ended set established routine sequence. but I was also skeptical, as I described. We left it off as shared imaginations,
Starting point is 00:59:52 but me and my dad still swear that we heard the same thing. Anyway, thank you for reading and for listening. Maybe you have some suggestions about what could have happened in the last story. The first two stories might just be me imagining things, as there were no people to second it, but still odd. I've actually sent you a story before. It was the one about the dream that I had, and then I saw it on social media much later. Anyway, something happened to me again today.
Starting point is 01:00:32 It's a lot shorter this time, but it did really confuse me. I was at work on my break on a video call with my girlfriend. I grabbed my backpack and checked the small front pockets, the really tiny one where you can clearly see everything inside, because I was looking for my lip balm. I opened it, and it wasn't there. I even reached in and felt around. The only thing inside were my car key and a small piece of paper,
Starting point is 01:00:59 so I closed it again and checked the back part of the bag instead, but it wasn't there either. Then I opened the front pocket a second time, and suddenly it was there, right on top, completely visible. I'm 100% sure that it wasn't there before. The pocket was basically empty except for the key in the paper, and I even checked with my hand. This time I just opened it up and it was immediately visible.
Starting point is 01:01:27 I don't know if I somehow missed it the first time or if it just suddenly appeared, but either way it confused me enough that I wanted to send it to you.
