You're richer than you think. Hey there, friends. Hope you are doing swimmingly today. Today is a glitch day, glitch stories day.
Starting point is 00:01:03 Just one of those days with glitch stories. so if you enjoy them, you'll enjoy these. If not, I understand. There will be more non-glitch stories here later in the week, so those ones will be for you, of course. Um, yeah, nothing really going on this week here at the Ravens Nest, I guess, if you will. It's what I used to call it way, way back when I was just a baby narrator with nothing special going on. I used to call this the Raven's Nest.
Starting point is 00:01:30 Subscribers were the Nevermore. I don't know. I just, it's all silly things. I don't know what I'm going on about. Yeah, I just hope you all have a wonderful day. Hope I see you again soon. Hope you enjoy the stories and just keep being you, okay? Enjoy the sun if you can today.
Starting point is 00:01:49 Just a little bit of time outside. The sun, the trees, the greens, the blues, the earthy tones, just to take them in. I want to do that. I want to go out to one of the state parks and do a nice little hike, but it's downpouring and a nice little hike. we both have to work, so... Maybe this weekend. Anyways, friends, enjoy the stories. See you again soon.
Starting point is 00:02:13 Bye. Hi, Raven. I've been thinking of sending in stories for a while, but haven't felt they're big enough to be stretched into a whole story. But then, this happened. I was talking to a friend of mine, telling her about a guy from my past that had slid into my DMs. This guy always shows up again, so I find... phrased it as, guess what ghost from the past showed up in my DMs. She guessed two wrong names, including a name of a friend that we will call Josh, and then adds the question if Josh is okay.
Starting point is 00:02:56 I told her the whole story with every detail, and after an incredibly short exchange about it, she asks, but what about Josh? Is he still alive? At that I kind of stop, and I ask her why she asked it like that. She said she didn't know, so I decided to check on him while we were chatting. I'm watching a Mr. Ballin video, and as I'm typing out, hey, I just want to check and see what's up. Ballin says in the video, and she reached down to see if he was still breathing. I told my friend right away that it was kind of a creepy coincidence. The next day, I'm sitting at another friend's house and telling him about this.
Starting point is 00:03:38 I tell him it's been a while since I heard from this friend since we kind of all went our separate ways, but we used to be three best friends, who all shared the same three first letter of our first name. This was way back in 2008, and as we were talking about how long it had been, I grabbed my phone to check the messenger to look at the chat history. I scrolled up, and I showed him that it was last in 2022 that I talked to him. And then as I'm scrolling down, I see the most recent message is in 2025. So I show them and add, Well, apparently we also spoke a bit in 2025?
Starting point is 00:04:19 And the date in the year 2025 are showing about the messages. Like what happens if there's a while between messages, and then we just kind of started talking about something else. Fast forward to yesterday, when I was talking to the first friend again, and she asks if I heard from Jim. Josh. I tell her I still haven't. But then we checked his Facebook, and there weren't any rest-in-piece posts from friends or family.
Starting point is 00:04:47 She decides to check this online data bank, where you can look up people of this nationality that we are. It's mostly used to see who is related, but it also includes date of birth for everyone and date of death if they have one. So she thinks if he's alive, he only has the one date next to his name. but when she looks him up, she sees that he unfortunately has two dates by his name. But the year of death is 2024. I tell her that's impossible, because the last message he sent to me was 2025. So with her on the phone, I look up the message to confirm and scroll quickly to the top of the last chat, and it says 2022.
Starting point is 00:05:30 This time the year disappears. Like when you scroll up in a conversation that is semi-continial. and there's not a conversation a while after that other one. I remember that it had been a while since I talked to him when he sent the last message. It wasn't the same year that me and him had been talking. So, I guess, maybe the universe was glitching right when my friend had that feeling of if Josh was okay, and the next day Messenger still hadn't caught up to that glitch? Because I distinctly remember seeing the year 2025 display of it.
Starting point is 00:06:05 above the messages. Well, thanks for all the good times, Josh. And maybe I'll see you on the other side if you're not off on your next adventure. Love the stories and I hope you take this as a compliment, but your voice is so soothing that I love falling asleep to your channel. It also helped me to kick my true crime addiction to the curb due to the interesting but much less disturbing content. It's a pleasure. you. Anyway, I thought I would share a few glitches I've experienced over the course of my 36 years.
Starting point is 00:07:24 Also, non-native speaker here, so please forgive me for any errors. This first one took place when I was around 15. As a young teen, I enjoyed collecting outlandish jewelry. One of my favorite pieces was a grayish plastic ring with a 3D flower embedded in the middle. It was also broken, and while still wearable, it had a significant gap. I remember losing it on a steep stretch of road while walking home from a party. I searched for it for a while, but to no avail. Being a teenager, after a party, I was a bit bummed, but I chalked it up as a loss and continued walking home. Fast forward about two years, another morning I was walking home from another party,
Starting point is 00:08:12 and reached the very same stretch of road. Guess what was sitting there in the middle of the road, as if it had been waiting for me for two years. My plastic ring. Same 3D flower, same gap. Now, it may have been lying there all that time, but considering the amount of snow and rain, along with all the people and animals passing by, this left me quite baffled. The next glitch occurred when I was 18. Our family was invited to my cousin's wedding in eastern Germany.
Starting point is 00:08:48 His in-laws had a large house with several rooms on the second floor. I remember going to sleep in one of them, which had a sewing machine in a doll next to the bed. A pretty one. Not the creepy kind. My cousin's mother-in-law was really into arts and crafts. Now imagine my surprise when I woke up in a completely different room with the door still locked. Mind you, this was the night before the wedding, so I definitely wasn't under the influence. I might have gotten up to use the bathroom that night, but as a very light sleeper, I usually remember those occasions, especially since it would have involved unlocking the door and then locking it again.
Starting point is 00:09:33 Also, even if I had managed to stumble into a different room, why was the bed already made? Stranger still, the next day, I couldn't seem to find the room with that dog, anymore, and I never figured out what happened that night. My final glitch occurred when I was 33, one day before my father's funeral. He passed away suddenly from a ruptured aneurysm. For context, I'm from Hungary, a central European country with the population of about 9 million. We have around 20 small towns whose names are familiar to most Hungarians, most, most of
Starting point is 00:10:13 My father, who I'll refer to as Frank, was from one of these small towns. But let's just call it Hudson for the purpose of the story. My father, Frank, was from Hudson, and that's where he was laid to rest alongside my grandparents, his brother, and his sister. The day before the funeral, I was sitting in a taxi in Budapest, going about my business. The driver was a kind, knowledgeable man in his late 60s, very good. similar to my dad. I remember thinking how much I was going to miss the conversations we used to have while driving together. I was just about to get out of the taxi when the driver received
Starting point is 00:10:55 phone call and answered it. Hello, Frank Hudson speaking. I'll never forget that moment. Later, I tried to calculate the chances of this happening by multiplying the number of Hungarian male first names by the number of towns in the country. I figured that I was to calculate the chances of the I figured the odds of me encountering someone named Frank Hudson was roughly one in four million. I still want to believe that it was my father's way of letting me know he was still looking after me. Ever since then, I've been experiencing synchronicities almost every week, but this was by far the most spectacular one. So, Dad, message received. I miss you every day.
Starting point is 00:11:41 Thank you for reading Raven and best wishes from Hungary. I've gone back and forth on whether to submit this story because I know how unbelievable it sounds. I never had the chance to meet my great-grandfather. But I grew up hearing this story directly from his daughter, my grandmother. She was one of his five children, and she always told it the same way. My great-grandfather was a traditional Christian. a coal miner in rural West Virginia in the early 1940s, and what my family would call a true salts of the earth man.
Starting point is 00:12:29 He was hardworking, practical, and a no-nonsense person. He wasn't someone who chased strange stories or sought any attention. If anything, he was the kind of person who would have been skeptical of someone claiming to have had a supernatural experience, but he did have a special connection with animals. My family always said that he understood them in a way that was unusual. He loved animals, and they all seemed to respond to him. They would say that he lit up whenever he saw one. He wasn't the kind of person who could just walk past an animal without stopping,
Starting point is 00:13:05 so if there was anything that would have made him pause during a dark early morning walk to work, it would have been a dog. The mine where he worked was a couple of hours from the family farmhouse. I don't remember exactly how his work schedule was arranged. I believe he may have made the trip once a week and stayed away for a few days before coming home, but I'm not completely certain. What I do know is that when it was time for him to leave, he would get up around 3.30 or 4 in the morning
Starting point is 00:13:36 and walk about a mile from the farmhouse to meet the man he carpooled with before they continued on to the mine. The road that he walked followed alongside a creek, and there was a small bridge along the way. I actually know this area myself. I know the creek, the hills, and the path that he would have walked in the dark. There's something about picturing him there,
Starting point is 00:14:02 alone before sunrise, that has always stayed with me. Well, along that path was a small bridge, and that bridge became the setting for the strangest part of his story. One morning as he was walking toward the. meeting place, he saw a small white dog sitting on the bridge. He didn't see something in the distance and mistake it for a dog. He saw a dog clearly. As he got closer, it was still there. Being the kind of man that he was, someone who understood animals and had spent his life around them, he approached
Starting point is 00:14:37 it. He reached down toward the dog, and according to the story he told, right before his eyes, the dog collapsed into a white handkerchief. Not ran away, it didn't disappear into the woods, it became the handkerchief. He picked it up. The moment he did, he felt an overwhelming sense of sadness and dread. It wasn't just fear. It was the feeling that something terrible was about to happen. To him, the handkerchief had meaning.
Starting point is 00:15:10 It was something people used to. to wipe away tears, and he believed it was some kind of warning that there would soon be a reason to cry. Everything in him told him not to continue down that road, so he turned around and walked back home. When he came back home, my great-grandmother was understandably upset. They were dirt poor. They had five children, and he was the sole provider for their family. Missing work was not something they could afford. She wanted to know why he had turned around. She was frustrated, and there may have been some arguing between them, but he didn't really respond.
Starting point is 00:15:48 There were no words that could explain what had happened to him. He sat down in a chair beside the telephone and leaned forward with his elbows on his knees, staring at the clock. He just sat there. For about two hours, he stayed there feeling sick to his stomach watching the time pass and waiting for that phone call. And then the phone rang. There had apparently been a collapse at the mine, with more than 20 men dying that day. The men that he would have worked alongside never came home.
Starting point is 00:16:23 He was the only one from his crew who survived, because he never made the trip. I've heard many stories about my great-grandfather over the year, but this is the one that has always stayed with me, because it's the one I've never been able to explain. Was this a premonition or a spiritual warning, or was it a personal warning, or was it a one that? something else entirely. I really don't know. What I do know is that he was a practical, hardworking man who loved his family, loved animals, and lived a life grounded in the real world. He wasn't someone looking for signs or trying to find meaning and everything around him. Yet, on that morning, on the quiet road in West Virginia, something happened that he could never
Starting point is 00:17:05 explain. He trusted that feeling, even when it made no logical sense, and even when his family desperately needed him to go to work. And because he listened to it, he came back home. Also, fellow listeners, if you like stories from rural West Virginia on the 1940s to the 60s, I have several more family stories like this. My great-grandfather and my grandmother had some truly strange experiences, and I would be happy to share more if people are interested. Please do.
Starting point is 00:17:48 I posted this story on Reddit, but I didn't get much response, but what I did get suggested that this was a glitch in the matrix kind of story, and yet all agreed that it had features that weren't anything like that. So I'm a bit unsure about this story, but then again, I've always been unsure about it when I think back on it. Anywho, I'm glad I found your interesting channel, because I feel that many of us have supernatural encounters that we don't recognize as supernatural, simply because they're not the usual thing you find in a horror movie, which we in the West are somewhat conditioned to use as a guide
Starting point is 00:18:29 as to what is truly spooky and what is not. I've heard that in ages past, people were reminded to look for signs and portents, basically unusual happenings or animals are basically nature behaving in uncharacteristic ways. and to try to find meeting in these occurrences. Maybe this has happened to you too? Maybe as recently as today, or this week,
Starting point is 00:18:57 or if you think back some other time, and yet, because it's not something you would normally see in a Hollywood horror movie, you've just shrugged your shoulders and forgotten about it. But odd things happen to me every so often that I can't explain. And it causes me to sometimes think back to the first, time I was truly aware of it. Partly because it was so perplexing, perhaps, but mainly I think it's because I've been trying to think about what really happened or what it could signify.
Starting point is 00:19:30 Just like our ancestors did so many years ago, let me tell you all about it. It was in my mid-teens, maybe a little older, and my friends and I had decided to go to the fairgrounds, but they never showed up and I was on my own. I didn't want to be left out or made to feel bad, so I was determined to just enjoy myself. I suppose it was just to sort of spite my so-called friends or despite them. Anyway, amongst the rides I wanted to go on were the dodgums, or bumper cars, as we call them here in the UK. Surrounding the area where the cars would move like glittering gladiators was sort of a circular cue. By that, I mean, basically, people queued up all around the round area the little cars would race along in and safely crash on, but first you had to purchase a plastic disc to use in the car when you got in, and then you waited your turn in this queue that went around the area of play.
Starting point is 00:20:34 In some areas, this circular queue was three people deep. Some parts were five people deep, but when the cars would eventually stop and the current driver's time, time was up, desperate folks in the first ring of people would barely wait for drivers to leave their vehicles, and would rush into the Dodgums area and tried to get in a car quickly. Because there would always be a few people left over, like musical chairs. Do you remember that game? Anyone left over would have to rush back and join the circular queue again. But slowly and surely, just like everyone else, myself, at the back, would move forward and forward getting closer and closer.
Starting point is 00:21:13 By this time, I started looking out for a car that might give me an advantage, and that might be worth rushing for. I saw four red cars, four blue cars, four green cars, four yellow, and one purple car. They were all metallic, glittery, multicolored paint jobs, but I suppose the purple one stood out because it was the only one like that. All these cars had numbers, and I think that my favorite, that Solitaire very purple dodge them, had a distinctive number like seven, or now that I think of it, maybe it was 13. Of course, the numbers meant nothing. It was just so they would look like race cars, you know.
Starting point is 00:21:57 Anyway, it seemed to me that the purple car was the one to get. I set my heart on it. As it were, maybe it went a little faster, but it just looked different, and it was the one I ever so badly wanted to get, and I urged myself to be ready to get it. Indeed, it got to the point that when I was on the first circle, if you know what I mean, of the queue, I was determined to rush out, and if I didn't get that car, I was just going to rush back again and wait until I could get the purple one. I was pretty committed. It seemed that the bumper cars were a very popular ride as these yellow tokens kept getting sold and cues kept forming around and around.
Starting point is 00:22:40 And everyone was desperate to get on and race around and have fun because there was already several people behind me pushing forward, as I had been. I hoped that the car would eventually stop near me when it was my turn, but when that time came, unfortunately, it stopped quite a ways away. Certainly, it was much closer, indeed, to other people in the same circular cue as myself. When eventually the Siren Sack, as it did at the beginning and end of the time session, the electricity was cut off from the brightly colored cars and people began to get out. Well, that was my signal to run, and run as fast as I could.
Starting point is 00:23:20 I doubt anyone could run faster. I didn't look about and I didn't see what was or wasn't happening around me. I just didn't care. I just wanted to get that singular car. I put the yellow plastic coin that I had purchased earlier into the dashboard slot, like we had been told to do, so that my bumper car would be ready and activated when the electricity was shot through its motor from the rod reaching up to the sparking chicken wire above. I breathed a sigh of relief and looked around me. In disbelief, every car was empty.
Starting point is 00:23:57 I mean, not one of them had anyone in them at all, and no one was by them either, but I wasn't completely alone. I could hear the distant sounds of people laughing and joking around and having fun and all the other attractions in the fairground just as I had before. And the circular crew of people in their desperate faces ready and interested and yearning for the turn, and they were all still around and encircling the play area where the bright little cars had been whizzing around and bumping into each other. but this time, for the first time, nobody moved.
Starting point is 00:24:35 I looked all around me in amazement, for no one was at all frozen, so to speak. They all just kept staring at me like I was on a stage, and they were a deeply interested audience. I should point out that I'm not particularly handsome, nor am I shockingly ugly, I'm just an average Joe, I guess. and there was no reason why people were avoiding getting in the cars around me. I don't have a fearful reputation, and I wasn't really from that area anyway, so no one could have known me or suspected that I was someone I was not, surely. They'd all been preparing to jostle a little with me around the Dodgeham area, and everyone had been happy to run at the bumper cars and get in them as soon as possible,
Starting point is 00:25:20 at least before. But now they just plain weren't. In the years that have gone by, I've thought about this a lot. And yes, it may be the others, too. That they had wanted the purple car all to themselves as desperately as myself, but that hadn't stopped most other people from being content with getting into a red, blue, green, or yellow car instead. As there was, after all, more of them. But could it really be that everyone in the ring that was up next,
Starting point is 00:25:49 the one that I was part of, had wanted that car at the exclusion of all others and were willing to wait? If so, how did we all have the same idea at the same time? And who had it first? But I didn't have time to worry about this because after a while of me looking around at people, and even looking into the cage with the operator sat, who I had bought as everyone else had the yellow plastic coin to go in the slot, he too was looking around just as mystified as me.
Starting point is 00:26:22 until he eventually shrugged, pulled the handle, sounded the siren, and slowly watched with everyone else as poor dumbfounded eye, entirely on my own, was in possession of a now quietly moving vehicle. This bizarre driving session seemed to last longer than the others, but maybe it just felt like that to me. I began to go around in circuits, and for a change, tried weaving in and out between the stationary cars, occasionally bumping them. but not really doing anything, just feeling entirely mystified, more than embarrassed, as everyone and everything felt as if it had so profoundly changed around me. I just couldn't fathom it. Eventually, the siren sounded and the electricity was cut off,
Starting point is 00:27:09 and immediately everyone in the ring tore towards the cars. Yes, including mine. I really didn't know what to do, except to slowly walk off the track and into the crowd, and out the other side with everything back to normal. I would love someone to tell my little story and for someone in the comments section to explain what might have happened, but it's been a few years now, I reckon,
Starting point is 00:27:33 and I still occasionally think about this bizarre little episode and wonder what the explanation was. But all I can think of is that it was a modern sign or important, that what occurred was something otherworldly or strange. Thank you for reading through this. and allow me to ask just, what do others think? Please. Hi, Raven.
Starting point is 00:28:07 Let me start by saying thank you, and that I've listened to your show since 2023, and it has helped make a lot of sense of the weird stuff that has happened to me over the years. I have many stories from glitches to slipping to alternate realities, to major deja vu. This story is the most prominent and life-altering for me. It was around 05 or 06.
Starting point is 00:28:32 I was in my mid-20s and already went through my first divorce. I moved to my grandparents' house in rural Missouri. They lived a couple of miles west of a small town where I live now, and moved from. It was about 20 miles west. And in the middle of the two towns is a place ironically called Halfway. I get a call around 10 p.m., and my buddy calls and says he's having a part. party. So I get ready to head into my hometown on the highway, it's just a two-lane road, and it has a lot of small hills. But there is a stretch of this highway right before you get to
Starting point is 00:29:11 halfway that flattens out for about a quarter mile before it dips down into a valley, and then it comes up to the little town. I was driving alone, and I got behind someone who was going the speed limit, which was 55 miles per hour. I liked to cruise at 65. I was young and dumb, but I hit that quarter-mile stretch and I go to pass. I get directly beside the car when a semi-tops the hill. I didn't see the headlights before, or I would have waited to pass. As soon as I see the headlights, everything seems to go in slow motion. I looked over to the car, and I remember seeing the husband and the wife.
Starting point is 00:29:56 The wife looks over at me with fear in her eyes that I won't. never forget. I knew if I slammed on my brakes, they would too, so I said screw it and floored it. The car down shifted. I perked the wheel to the right and ducked my head down below the dashboard, basically. If I had my eyes open, I would have been staring at the radio. I said Jesus and braced for impact, but it didn't happen. In my head, everything was still going in slow motion. I thought, if I just perked my wheel, if I don't turn back, I'm going to shoot off the road into the trees. So I perked the wheel back and there was still no impact. I popped my head up and I'm perfectly in the right lane.
Starting point is 00:30:45 I looked back. Both car and truck were still behind me. Truck had his brakes on and I just kind of chalked it up to divine intervention, but a lot changed that summer. About two or three days later, I was right. riding with my sister, she was driving. We hit that exact same spot. She went to pass a car, just like I did. But I got overwhelmed with fear, and all I could get out was,
Starting point is 00:31:11 no, stop at the top of my lungs. And I put both hands on the ceiling and one foot on the dash. Of course, she looked at me like I was a moron, but I was overwhelmed with so much fear. Part of me wonders if I didn't die and just slip into an alternate universe. Shortly after, my ex-fiancee passed away. My best friend died of an overdose, and I have ex-girlfriends that everyone remembers me dating, but I swear I've never even met them before.
Starting point is 00:31:43 Even my first love introduced me to her friends as an old friend from church. Like, our relationship never even happened. I don't know. But it still sticks with me, and I really can't let it go. I will post other stories as I can't. at the time, and thank you for listening. Hello Raven, I hope that you're having a great day, but on to the glitches. Early August of 1992, my parents wanted to surprise me with a trip to Florida. We live in Alabama. I had a bad feeling about the trip, and as we were crossing the states,
Starting point is 00:32:28 I was having a tantrum begging them to turn around and let's just go home, but they ignored me. I kept bugging them because I had this deep gut feeling that we were heading into danger. At the state line, they finally stopped and asked me if I was sure that I didn't want to go to Florida and go to the beach. I told them, yes, let's just go home. They finally agreed with me. We turned around and headed home and they were pissed off at me. We got home, walked through the door, and they turned on the TV, and there was a news report on the TV about Hurricane Andrew being elevated to a Cat 4 hurricane and showing its path heading exactly where we were going.
Starting point is 00:33:13 They stopped, looked at me, and asked me how. Well, meaningless to say, after that, they asked me how I felt before trips and listened to me about my instincts. And here's another. The night of July 9th, I had a nightmare that my church had caught fire and that people were dying. I woke up screaming. I was eight years old.
Starting point is 00:33:35 and I told my grandmother, I had a dream about a fire and people dying. She told me it was just a nightmare and to go back to sleep. The next morning it was raining, and I was outside playing when I heard a boom. I ran inside and said that I heard something that sounded like an explosion. We all went to the front porch and saw smoke slowly drifting up the street from the direction of our church, so we started walking in that direction. As we walk around the corner, we started to see. to hear the fire trucks and sirens.
Starting point is 00:34:08 We get closer and we notice that a house that is directly beside our church is on fire, and a house that is on the other side of the street is also on fire. It turned out to be a plane crash. El Express Airlines Flight 508. I had another dream that I was spending the summer of 2001 with my cousin. In the morning of 9-11, I had a nightmare of people screaming, fire and people dying. I got up and walked into her living room,
Starting point is 00:34:40 and she was walking out of her room at the same time. We both looked at each other and asked the same question. Did you have a nightmare about people dying? We turned on the news moments before the second tower was hit. Then we held each other and cried. Thank you for listening, Raven, and I hope you all have a great night. First off, thank you for having this great place to compile stories to listen to and to share so none of us feel quite as alone as we did.
Starting point is 00:35:21 The pleasure's mine. I've always been very much intrigued by paranormal and, as of late, glitches in the Matrix, as I've been experiencing more and more over the past few years. I was going through a drive-thru with my friend, we'll call him Irish for the story. he had just come back from visiting his home in Ireland where there's really no fast food restaurants. It's pretty much just pastures in farmland as far as the eye can see. So when he came home or back to America
Starting point is 00:35:53 where he's now living, he wanted nothing more than to go get a cheeseburger and a Coke. So I said, let's go to Wendy's and get a cheeseburger into Coke. I could use a Frosty myself. So we ordered a cheeseburger meal for Irish. I took his fries and I ordered an additional frosty. The first employee came to the window and I handed him my card. The second employee came to the window and handed me a bag containing the cheeseburger and french fries and a Coke. I handed the bag and coke to Irish and he handed me
Starting point is 00:36:28 the fries. The first employee came back and handed me my card and asked me if there was anything else they could get for us. I said, yeah, my frosty. To which he raised. He was a little bit of replied, oh yes, so sorry. Then he grabbed it from the table behind him and handed it to me. I said, thank you, have a good night, and we were on our merry way. I went and dropped off Irish at his house and realized that I was not exactly sure how to get home, as I'm very directionally challenged. You and me both. So I went to sit my frosty, which I've been holding this entire time into my cup holder, when it hit something. I flipped on my life. I flipped on my light, and looked down, and there was another Wendy's cup in my cup holder.
Starting point is 00:37:14 I thought maybe Irish had left a soda, but there was no straw in it. So I opened the lid and looked in, and it was a second Frosty, with a little swoop thing on top and all. Very confused, I called Irish and asked him how many cups the employees had given us. He said, too. The Coca-Cola that I handed him first, and then the Frosty they handed me after I got. got my card back.
Starting point is 00:37:41 So I double check, maybe even tripled, checked with him and said, so they only gave me one Frosty, right? To which he replied, yes, are you feeling okay? I told him that I felt fine but very confused because I now had two Frosties. The Frosty I had been dipping my fries in, and now another one in my cup holder. We were both very confused. I have no idea to this day where the second. one came from. But the weirdest thing of all, even weirder than the second Frosty,
Starting point is 00:38:15 is that after this interaction with Irish, I never saw him again. His number has been disconnected. I cannot find any of his social medias. He's moved from the house that I dropped him off at, and it's almost as if he never existed in this timeline. It's so bizarre. So Irish, if you're out there and you once lived in Denver, Colorado, and were friends with the girl you met on TikTok, then please hit me up. And thank you again, Raven. You're doing outstanding job with the channel,
Starting point is 00:38:51 and I look forward to hearing my story, and many other people's stories that you so eloquently narrate. This was around 2023, when me and my two brothers, who we'll call John and McHale, were all playing outside, just playing games like Bassett. basketball, jumping on a trampoline and catch it up.
Starting point is 00:39:21 All on the trampoline. After a while, we went inside to take a break. When we went back outside, John grabbed a tennis ball, and Mikhail and John threw it back and forth, while I did whatever I wanted to. After a few rounds of throwing, John dropped it in the bushes, and we all looked for it, but we couldn't find it,
Starting point is 00:39:43 until Mikhail looked up in a nearby tree and the ball was there. We were all confused and told our mom about it, and she told us that it was a glitch in the Matrix. After that, we continued on with the evening and said nothing about what happened. And that's the end. I hope you had a good day, and if not, I hope that you will have a good day. Hey, Raven, thanks for taking the time to read this submission. This is a glitch that happened a few years ago, and I still can't make sense of what happened. I woke up for college just like any other day, and just like any other day.
Starting point is 00:40:26 checked my phone as I normally would. I noticed I had a missed call from my mom, which happened to be at 6 a.m. I called her back, but couldn't reach her, and I figured that she would call me back. Just to note, I was a bit worried, as it was unusual, she would call me so early in the morning, but I figured something must have happened, and she needed to reach me. I went about my day and made it back home later that evening. My mom was now back from work, so I immediately went to ask her why she had called me this morning and what had happened. She seemed confused, and told me that she had not called me.
Starting point is 00:41:09 Confused myself, I told her that she in fact had, and I pulled out my phone and showed her the missing call in my log. She told me that she didn't know what happened, but there was no way she could have called me at that time, because she would have already been clocked in at work, and her phone would have been locked away in her locker, since they weren't allowed to have phones on the floor while working. We were both confused, so I asked her to check her phone. To our surprise, there was an outgoing call in her phone log at 6 a.m., the time that I had the missed call.
Starting point is 00:41:47 What made things even weirder, the log on her end showed that the call lasted about, one minute. But if she really would have called and the call would have lasted that long, shouldn't there have been a voicemail on my end? Which there wasn't. So that's the story. It was a call that she didn't make and I didn't answer. I still don't get what could have happened other than possibly two timelines colliding. Anyway, if you have any ideas, I'd love to hear your thoughts, and I hope to hear this on an upcoming episode. Thank you kindly. Hi, Raven. Here's a recent glitch for you, as it happened just today.
Starting point is 00:42:36 The day began with an immediate sense of worry as I discovered that my wedding ring was missing from its usual spot. I have three places that I put my rings when I take them off. A little egg cup in the downstairs bathroom, a pot upstairs, and a candle holder in the kitchen. The system works 99% of the time. But if I take it off and don't put it in one of those spots, Then this is when I'm most likely to misplace it. This morning, despite checking the egg cup downstairs, the pot upstairs, and the one in the kitchen multiple times, the ring was nowhere to be found. My two other rings were upstairs, where I had left them the other day, but my wedding ring that I had taken off last night was nowhere.
Starting point is 00:43:22 I own a coffee van, and I have a daily round delivering coffees to businesses, like an ice cream man for grown-ups. A concern that it might have been lost, I left the house for the day to start my round and got to my first stop with a heavy heart, even sending a prayer to the angels for help finding the ring. I text my husband telling him that I was nervous that I had taken it off and left it on the side of the bath, where it may have been washed down the plug when he had a shower last night. I served a couple of customers, and then I shut up the van to go to the next stop. It was after my first stop that the mysterious glitch occurred. The stop is close to my home, so afterwards I quickly returned as I needed to use the bathroom.
Starting point is 00:44:10 Possibly too much info, but it's relevant. Upon arrival in the WC, I casually checked the egg cup one more time, just in case. Obviously nothing, as per the morning. My husband was home, and whilst I sat on the loo, I was chatting to him through the door. I was again reiterating my concerns that the ring may have disappeared down the plug. He told me that he hadn't gotten around to looking yet, but didn't think that that could have happened. I finished, got up, and turned to wash my hands in the sink that is next to the windowsill, where I keep my egg cup.
Starting point is 00:44:45 Looking down, well, you guessed it, the ring was there waiting for me in its little egg cup, as if it had never even been away. I cannot stress enough, this is an egg cup. There are no nooks or crannies or crevices that a ring could get lost in. It's either in there or it's not. And I had looked in it at least three, if not four times, that morning. I had actually taken special notice of the fact that I needed to clean it, as it was getting a bit dusty in the bottom.
Starting point is 00:45:20 Short of literally not just seeing it, which is a, slight possibility, the ring had not bitten uncuffed that morning. I checked with my husband, and no, he definitely hadn't gotten around to looking for it. When I exclaimed that it was there, he said the kids must have found it, but that doesn't explain how it had just appeared in the five minutes or less that I was using the lavatory. They were at school at this point. He's not one for practical jokes either, so I believe him. Plus, I had just that minute before checked and there was nothing.
Starting point is 00:45:56 I would have noticed if he had bust in on me while I was sat on the loo and replaced the ring. As a little triumph, which felt like it compounded a subtle matrix shift, later in the day, I noticed a change in the flapjack case that I always buy from the wholesalers. I picked up a case, which contained lemon drizzle in place of the hugely unpopular strawberry. I'm reliably informed by Google AI that this is just a different selection box and not a glitch in itself. However, it's not a box that I've come across before, and it just felt very fitting that I pick it up purely by accident on the same day as this glitch. It almost felt like a little timeline nudge onto a marginally better one,
Starting point is 00:46:43 as lemon drizzle looks like it'll sell better and maybe I won't have dozens left over. To add to the puzzle, I also experienced a fleeting sense of nausea that coincided exactly with the ring's return. It was that kind of feeling that you have when you're nervous or stressed in your tummy protests. It was in fact one of the reasons I had made a pit stop home in the first place, as I had felt a bit off. Anyway, that's my glitch. I'm always having random experiences, but a lot can be explained away. This one I'm finding hard to, unless I really just didn't look properly any of those other times, but how hard do you have to look to see if a ring is sitting in a shallow egg cup? Thanks again for all you do. It's a true service to humanity. I don't think I'd go that far, but thank you very much.
Starting point is 00:47:49 Hi, Raven. I hear a lot about missing items on your podcast. I think we all go through those moments. We just didn't know what to call it. My family and I have experienced these things a lot over the years, and we thought maybe it was dead people messing with us. We always believed that because of the things we went through most of our lives. Who knows, some of it could be, but I tested my theory of just demanding to get my stuff back, and it seems to work, or just knowing if I wait, they will return it. Anyway, I recall this one time I lost my house keys, which I did often.
Starting point is 00:48:30 My daughter was living with me at the time when this happened. I put my keys down on the couch. It was hot. I was tired. And we were trying to get the groceries in the house. Mind you, it gets very hot in Mississippi in the summer, so I thought little about putting my keys down after opening the door. So after we got all the groceries, in and put away, the keys crossed my mind.
Starting point is 00:48:56 And I asked my daughter, Hey, have you seen my keys? I've been looking all over the living room and there aren't any keys. But what she says stops me in my track. She says, have you checked the cabinet? Huh. So I say, why would I put them in there? But when I open the cabinets to my surprise, there they are.
Starting point is 00:49:19 But how and why would you suggest that I look there, I think? Just, wow. I've gotten to a place with missing items that I was afraid to even put anything down. Anyway, thanks again, Raven. Hi, my story starts about a couple weeks ago, maybe a month. When I started listening to your podcast, which I became addicted to, I must add, about glitches in the Matrix or doppelgangers, etc. It has intrigued me so much that I literally listened my entire,
Starting point is 00:50:01 work shift. I should also let you know that I work as a candle maker at a small business where I'm usually alone every Friday or Saturday, which is when I get to listen to your podcast. So I can have some headphones in and listen while I work. Anyways, I'm a pretty optimistic person who, when watching these videos, has thought to myself, have I experienced a glitch in time? Have I ever witnessed a doppelganger? Which I unfortunately have. have not, at least not that I've ever noticed. Don't get me wrong, I have had some strange instances in my life. I'm halfway into my 30s now and think I've lived a pretty normal life, but there have been many coincidences, but let me try not to fear off. My story is about last
Starting point is 00:50:51 night, when my friend texted me while she was at a local music festival, and told me that she was standing in front of my doppelganger. Now, I would have been like, okay, Cool, whatever, but I've literally been listening to creepy videos of doppelganger experiences, and then she texted me this last night. I was in bed about to fall asleep when I read it. I immediately told her to try to take a picture of her. My friend never responded. This afternoon, when I texted her to ask her where the pick was,
Starting point is 00:51:24 she explained that she had tried to take a picture, but the girl was just gone, and she was not able to find her and never ran into her again. So where did I go? Was I sleeping and at the festival at the same time? I really do hope that you share my story because I am obsessed with this right now and cannot get it out of my head. And thanks. Hi, Raven. First time submitter, two-year follower. This is my glitch story.
Starting point is 00:52:04 In April of 1994, I moved into my first home at the age of 28. I lived alone in my small 809 square foot two-bedroom one-bath home. My home faced southward and was at the opening of my street. It was the first house on the north side of the street adjacent to a public access alley on the east side of my home. There was only one old street light on the south side of my street that mildly illuminated my front yard at night. I had lived in my home for approximately six months, so it was a little bit of my street light. It was October. Very cold and very dark at this time of year where I live.
Starting point is 00:52:47 I was awakened in the middle of the early morning at 1.27 a.m. to a bright light that illuminated my entire bedroom. I thought someone was across the street in the public access alley shining their car headlights at my home. I went out into the living room and looked out the window and was startled by a very bright light that was illuminating the entire front of my house. the front porch that went from the east side to the west side of my home and my front yard. This light was so bright that I could hardly look at it, and it was definitely not the headlights of a car.
Starting point is 00:53:24 It was a large beam that was coming from up in the sky, so bright that I couldn't see what the light was actually coming from. It was definitely coming down out of the sky, though. I was curious about what exactly it was, so I went to my front door and opened it to go outside so I could look up and see the light, and whatever it was coming from. Before I could get out the door and off the porch, the light rapidly ascended upward into the sky, and in a flash it was gone. Confused as to what I had just seen, I went back inside and locked my door. Once back in my bedroom, I looked at the clock. and it was 358 a.m. I still don't know what that light was or what it came from, but I do know that it does not take two-plus hours to go from my bedroom to my living room. I've not experienced anything like this ever again, and I'm now 60 years old. I lost two and a half hours of my life that night during this encounter or experience.
Starting point is 00:54:30 Yet the entire thing only seemed like minutes. The only living thing that witnessed what I experienced was my dog, and he was so scared that he got under my bed to hide. I love your show and your voice, and thanks for what you do as I can't sleep without it. Take care, Raven. I'm going to add a small note here at the end of this one. I know a few people.
Starting point is 00:54:54 We'll probably say this could have been an abduction. And I agree that's possible, but I'm going to leave this with a glitch as it feels kind of like time slip or time lost situation. Could be abduction related. I don't know. I'm going to leave it as a glitch, though, because I want to. Hi, Raven.
Starting point is 00:55:21 I'm a long-time listener and definitely a big fan. I enjoy listening to your podcast before I fall asleep. This is my first official submission. I live on the West Coast of Canada, and our culture has always included marijuana. I have used it in either a social or a medicinal. capacity for most of my adult life. For convenience, I keep a tray with all my essential items on it, papers, grinder, etc. I keep it in the drawer in my bedside table. After being diagnosed with IBS a few years back, my morning ritual has become to make coffee, roll and then head outside. One Tuesday evening,
Starting point is 00:56:03 when I went to sleep, I put my tray away in my drawer and I'm sure everything was there. I locked the drawer because I do have kids and I feel better safe than sorry. Come Wednesday morning, I unlocked and opened the drawer. Everything was normal until I realized the grinder wasn't there. It really bothers me when I can't find something, so not only do I do a light search right away, but a more thorough one just an hour later. I did not find my grinder. It was just gone. Next Wednesday, one full week later, I'll have a little week later,
Starting point is 00:56:39 I was doing my morning thing. I unlocked and opened the locked drawer and there was the green grinder. I opened it up and this was the same used old grinder I had been missing for a week to the day. Fast forward about a year, I keep lots of secret items in my drawer, including mementos from my grandmother. The next time an item moved from that drawer, I didn't notice it missing, but instead found it in a salad bowl in the kitchen. kitchen cupboard. Now, I could fathom a kid grabbing it to look at it, but finding this Christmas pin for my grandma move from my drawer to a salad bowl in the kitchen has me wondering what will move from the drawer next. And will I notice it before I find it again? Hi, Raven. I was
Starting point is 00:57:40 so excited to hear two of my stories. You're amazing, and reading is your gift, because you make those stories sound so much better than we could have ever put into words. Well, thank you very much for that. And to let you know, Angel's not my real name, but you may have already guessed. pseudonyms are fine. Raven's not my real name either. Anyway, let's get into my story. And yes, this is a very true account.
Starting point is 00:58:07 This happened about two years ago. I was hanging out with my nephew, as we often did. For some reason, he didn't take me home. and he decides that he wants to visit my daughter. She lived on the opposite side of this apartment complex. There's just no arguing with him. Besides, it was his car, right? So, anyway, we pulled up to her apartment, and we just stopped.
Starting point is 00:58:32 We then watched this guy come out of her apartment and go into the neighbor's place next door. Nothing weird, except my daughter didn't know these neighbors because they had recently moved in. I just thought that it was strange. So anyway, we get out and go in to sit and talk with her. As I'm sitting there, something says, ask her. So I did. I said, I didn't know you were hanging out with the neighbors.
Starting point is 00:59:00 She says, what do you mean? I proceed to ask her who was the guy who came from your apartment. And here's the crazy part. She says there was no guy in her place and that she was just sitting around with the kids watching TV. I was shocked, and I then tell her, no, there was a man with all black clothes, with a hood coming out of your door as we pulled up.
Starting point is 00:59:25 He went into your neighbor's home as well. So what did we see, and who was this guy? My nephew came in after I had sat down, and he says that he spoke to the guy, but he didn't say anything. He just passed him and went and got into a car, with someone else. Strange stuff.
Starting point is 00:59:45 We just can't explain what we witnessed that day. Hey there, friends.
