Hey there, friends. Hope you are doing well on this beautiful day.
If you are fantastic, if not, I hope that turns around for you.
You deserve happiness. I hope you know that.
Today, we have a collection of Glitch in the Matrix stories.
Stories about the weird, strange, and bizarre happenings here in our wonderful little universe.
So, hopefully you enjoy them.
If not, I understand.
Just know there will be another episode of different stories.
here in a couple days.
So, until then, my friends, again,
hope you have a wonderful day,
wonderful weekend,
and I'll see you again next time.
Until then, much love and sleep well.
Dear Raven,
one of your stories that you read
reminded me of something strange
that happened to me back in 1996.
My ex, Renee, and I,
had a little bungalow-type two-bedroom house.
It was our little honeymoon nest getaway.
We were renting the place, but planned on buying it because it was perfect.
Renee and I shared a passion for antiques.
It started to go beyond a hobby, but we were into the whole 1940s era.
Our house had a front room, then had an open wall to the entryway.
The bungalow was built probably pre-war, so our stuff that we got filled it in very fittingly.
We had a front room that most friends and family who came over said was like a museum.
I had bought two tallback smoking chairs and had them re-upholstered.
We had a little bar cart, table, pictures on the wall, a phonograph with lots of records of Glenn Miller, Bing Crosby, Helen Forrest, Harry James, and a lot of others.
All the electronics in that room, like the phonograph, rotary phone and radio were all from the time period.
Our kitchen and dining room was also from the 1940s.
The only room that was somewhat modern was our bedroom, which Renee demanded that we have a TV cable and a VCR.
I will add this, about 10 years ago I saw on YouTube that there was a couple that lived like
they were in the 1940s, and obviously when we were into that, we didn't go that far, just like our
home was to look like it was from the 1940s.
Although, sometimes, I guess I dressed in black dress shoes, slacks, button-up shirt, and cardigan.
However, Renee was just a jeans and t-shirt kind of gal.
Anyway, enough with the backstory.
I will get to the evening that had happened.
Renee, her mom and sister had planned to visit her grandmother who lived about seven hours away from us.
It was a Friday.
She had taken the day off work.
I got ready as usual, and we set our guys.
goodbyes. We seldom were apart from each other, so this was a rare occasion. This was back before
cell phones were common, so I asked her to call me when she arrived. I couldn't take the time off
work or else I would have gone with them. I work all day, just a normal day, and was happy that
it was Friday. Renee and I always had a date dinner on Fridays, but I had just planned to go home
and make myself a sandwich.
I get home, change into house clothes, put on my slippers,
make the sandwich in a rum and coke and sit in my favorite chair,
the smoking chair in our 1940s room.
I put on a record and sit back to eat my sandwich,
and just then I look over at the window and everything looks darker.
We had a curtain on that front window,
but it was only about 5.30 at the latest.
That time of year, the sun didn't go down until about 7.5.5.5.5.5.5.5.5.
p.m. The record was still playing music. Then I see lights as if someone is driving up my driveway.
I'm still thinking, what the heck? Why is it already dark outside? I get up from my chair and walk over
to the front door to see who is driving up, and I open the door, but what happened next, I cannot explain.
I opened the door to a different street, different climates, different time.
The street and homes on my block were not my street.
It was also covered in snow, and it doesn't snow in my city, though it was night time.
There was an odd silence.
At first, I'm just standing there looking around like what the heck is going on.
I'm staring out, but I don't take a step outside, but I am starting to feel really odd.
The best way I can describe it is,
Have you ever been on a long drive and you start to get hypnotized by the road and feel like you can just close your eyes and fall asleep?
My brain is fighting my body.
I remember thinking that I don't feel the cold from the snowy street.
I was looking out at the cars parked on the street, the lights in people's homes, and I didn't see any movement, nor did I hear any noise.
It was like a muffled sensation in my ears.
Just then our old rotary phone rings and snaps me out of it.
I turned to go answer the phone and it was Renee on the phone.
I can feel myself going,
Like I'm struggling to say something.
She's saying, hello, honey, are you there?
I get out of yes.
Yes, I am here.
She starts saying sorry she hasn't called earlier,
and then starts to tell me about the traffic, how long it took them to get there, and that they made it safe.
I turned to look back, and I look at the door. It was closed. The window was shining light through it again.
The record that I was playing was skipping, as it does at the end. My sandwich was gone, but my drink was still there,
and it was now 6.50 p.m. Reney starts asking if everything was okay.
I told her that I just felt like I had a headache and that something weird happened.
She wasn't really paying attention to me on the phone because, as I was telling her that something weird happened, her mom was saying that dinner was on the table.
And she said, oh, honey, I have to go. Grandma made pot roast.
I turned the phonograph off, went to sit back in my chair and just thought, was I dreaming?
How could I have dreamed standing up?
I wasn't drunk because my rum and coke was still nearly full.
I did eat my sandwich.
My head did hurt like I was getting a headache.
I didn't do drugs, no past issues with mental problems.
I got up and went back to the door to look outside again, opening it very slowly.
But everything was back to normal.
No snow, no old cars, and my neighbor's homes were all there.
I shared this one time with someone I met who was really into the paranormal, and he said that objects can be like storage devices for times and events.
Sometimes bad things like haunted items, and sometimes it could have been a memory of a happier time.
Since nearly everything in that room was the 1940s, and I mean everything, that it could have held on to past memories of people and places.
I'm not sure I totally believe that,
but I can't explain what happened back in 1996.
When Renee returned home from that trip,
I slowly stopped collecting antiques,
and when we eventually moved from our little honeymoon bungalow,
we started parting with them.
I love the collection of stories,
and I wanted to put my experience out there.
This is pretty recent and still very vivid and confusing for me.
I'm 30 at the time of the story, and this happened between February and May of 2026.
I'm well-versed in internet lore about simulation theory and Mandela effects, so when I finally figured out what was going on, I knew that I had my own kind of proof.
So the story starts with moving into a new home that I had just bought, with my girlfriend and kids.
The whole glitch is all about the shower faucet.
It's the kind where one handle controls both hot and cold.
The detail that matters is that when you turn the handle as far as it goes, counterclockwise, it's full hot.
And if you only turn it on a little, it's only cold, and as you turn it counterclockwise gets warmer.
So I remember vividly teaching the kids how to turn the water on.
I had to tell them because the label on the handle was wrong.
It showed with blue and red that turning the handle completely is blue,
which usually meaning cold,
and the reds where you turn it on slightly.
Another thing to note
is that we're turning the hot water heater on
only when we need it,
so I build the habit to flip the switch on the hot water breaker.
I live in the house with my family for a few months
and build the habit of turning on the hot water switch
and then going to shower and turning the handle fully on for hot water.
I left the house for about a month,
and my family stayed home.
I didn't step foot in the house the entire time I was gone, but life went on as normal for my family at home.
When I finally came home and tried to take a shower is where the story gets weird.
So I check the hot water switch, and it's on.
Then I go into the shower, and out of habit without looking at the label for hot and cold,
I turn the handle all the way, and I wait.
I feel cold water coming out for a long time.
so long that I ended up just taking a cold shower.
I take two showers a day, once in the morning and then once after work, so the first shower is after work.
It's not a big deal that the water was cold.
I just figured that the hot water wasn't on long enough to get hot, so I forgot about it.
The next shower was the first thing in the morning.
My routine was to turn on hot water, then wait for 30 minutes for it to heat up and then take a shower.
So that's what I did.
And again, I waited for the hot water that never came.
So again, I just took a cold shower, but this time I remembered to check it out after work.
So now I'm thinking there must be something wrong with the water heater.
So I check it, and it's on.
I can hear it buzzing, it's a slight hum that it's always made.
And then I see that there's hot water in the kitchen sink, as one kid's doing dishes.
So I'm like, okay, I'm going to take a shower.
So once again, I go in and turn the handle all the way,
expecting hot water almost immediately, but it still doesn't come.
Now, I'm just like, am I tripping?
So I take a chance, and I turn the water halfway.
It gets warm.
And then I try to turn it down more, and the hot water comes out, no problem.
I already knew for a fact that the water was labeled in.
incorrect, and hot was full turn counterclockwise.
So I looked down at the label, and my mind was blown because the label was reversed.
The hot water was now labeled as a full turn, and the cold was labeled as a small turn.
After the shower, I asked about the hot water.
I asked them to go turn on the hot water in the shower, and they just turned the handle a little bit.
From their point of view, nothing has changed.
They said the hot water has always been how it was.
There was absolutely no way they changed it and were gaslighting me.
We don't joke like that ever.
And I don't see any evidence of a changed faucet.
I mean, even the blue and red were switched.
This is so crazy for me because I remember teaching the kids how to turn the hot water on.
and I'd built a habit around it.
It was second nature for me to turn the water all the way on.
I wanted to share this so that we can try to figure out this crazy world.
Was my memory not affected because I was far enough away from the anomaly when it happened?
Did I return to a home in a different dimension?
Where the hot water was always configured that way and the family that I saw was always in that dimension?
What other things were different that I took?
didn't even realize. How can we recreate this kind of shift? And the most important question
that arises from this experience is, how can we control what changes can happen in a shift like this?
Hi Raven. It's always fascinating to hear the stories from around the world about how weird
and wonderful and sometimes scary our world can be. I will preface this glitch in the matrix story
with two things.
Firstly, it did not happen directly to me.
It's a secondhand story of which I only play a small role.
And secondly, while I always find these stories fascinating, I'm very much a skeptic,
educated to degree level in a science subject and highly critical of any sort of supernatural
account.
That's not to say that I outright dismiss them, but I don't tend to accept them at face value.
So, the story actually happened to my parents, rather than me.
I know they would never submit this story themselves, but it's something that they found extremely bizarre,
and I think may be worthy of a glitch here.
This happened somewhere between 15 and 20 years ago.
I don't recall the exact year.
It was just a regular morning at home in a village in the north of Wales, UK.
My parents were getting ready for work with their usual routine.
My mother had gathered all of her things, her bag, her phone, etc.
And she had put them on the sofa in the living room and then gone out to the kitchen to prepare breakfast.
My father, in the meantime, was in the bathroom getting washed and shaved and ready for work.
After both had eaten their breakfast, they were ready to leave the house for work.
work. They always left together as my mother does not drive, so my father always gave her a lift to
work. However, on this day, when my mother went to pick up her things to leave, she could not find
her phone, even though she distinctly remembered placing it onto the sofa as usual. This led to a
frantic search of the house, back upstairs in her bedroom, in case maybe she'd misremembered bringing
it down. No sign there. In the kitchen? No. Bathroom. No. They searched everywhere, but just could not
find it. My father then suggested that they called the phone from the landline and trace the sound.
Good idea. So they did that. The phone rang. It sounded like it was coming from the living
room as expected, but they couldn't see it. Eventually, though, they managed to trace the sound and
the phone. The living room contained a gas fireplace. You know, one of those ones with the fake
fire effect and coals to make it look like a real fire. Well, the phone was tucked in behind the
coals at the back of the fire, which thankfully was not switched on. Now, these coals were loose,
and they would tend to fall out if disturbed slightly. There is no possible way that this phone could
have got into that position unless someone had deliberately and carefully placed it there.
They were only two people in the house at the time. My mother did not put it there. Some could say
that my father put it there as a joke, but my father isn't like that at all. He's never been
known for playing tricks on people, and especially would not do something like that at a time when
they were both on a schedule to get to work. They told me about this incident.
and at the time I had recently been involved in a local paranormal investigation group,
so they knew that I liked weird things.
I tried to look for some sort of scientifically plausible explanation for how the phone got there.
The best I could come up with was that instead of putting the phone on the sofa,
it had been put on the mantelpiece above the fire.
The phone had fallen off and somehow bounced off the rug,
in front of the fire and landed in that position.
But even for a skeptic like myself,
I think the idea that ghosts put the phone there was more plausible.
I tried recreating it with that in mind,
and there was no chance that the phone could bounce high enough off of the rug
to get into the position it was,
let alone without disturbing some of the coals.
So, we're left without an explanation.
Anyway, there you go.
Probably not the most interesting glitch ever and not scary or anything like that, but it is certainly the most bizarre thing that has ever happened to my family.
If you don't count the time that my father had to actually step out of the way of a ghost as it walked past him in our family home.
But that's a different story for a different day.
Actually, probably not, because there's really not much more to the story than that.
Hi there.
I have a glitch in the Matrix story I wanted to share with you.
Please bear with me as this story is a little lengthy.
I shortened it as much as I could without losing important details.
Your story length was fine, just so you know.
When my dad was little, like a toddler, he had an army jacket.
It was tiny, toddler-sized, army green canvas with gold buttons, military patches,
and his last name stitched over the breast pocket.
It was passed down to him from his older brother who had received it from their much older half-siblings.
It was kind of a family right of passage.
Since my uncle didn't have kids and I was the oldest of my dad's,
the jacket got passed to me, for when I had children of my own.
Needless to say, it held a special sentimental value,
so it went into the box of things from my childhood that I was hanging on to for my children.
and some baby clothes, blankets, etc.
At 19, I met someone and moved in with him,
and I got a storage unit for most of my stuff,
including the box with the jacket.
Shortly after our first child was born,
we moved from my hometown to a small town in another state,
and we moved in with his parents until we got established.
We transferred the contents of my storage unit,
along with almost everything we owned into a year,
unit in our new town. Since we now had a child of our own, the box of baby clothes got unpacked
and utilized, including the Army jacket. That Fourth of July, our daughter was a little over
two, and where we live gets a little chilly when the sun goes down, so we grabbed the Army
jacket for our little one. She wore it most of the evening, but got warm sitting in Dad's lap
and wanted to take it off. I took the jacket, folded it, and careful.
tucked it snugly in the bottom basket of the stroller, in the side pocket of the diaper bag.
After the fireworks, our daughter started to get chilly again, so I went to grab the jacket for her while her dad folded up the blanket that we were sitting on.
The jacket wasn't there. I pulled everything out of the stroller, but it was nowhere to be found.
This jacket was extremely important to me, and I frantically searched the area and even asked people that were
sitting around us if they had seen it.
They hadn't.
We decided that it must be wrapped in the blanket,
and we would just find it when we got home.
Back at home, I pulled everything out of the stroller and shook out the blanket.
No jacket.
I emptied out the contents of the diaper bag and turned it inside out.
No jacket.
I even took the pads and cover off of the stroller, but no jacket.
I was beyond heartbroken.
I was desperate to get this back.
I called City Hall to ask about a lost and found that may have things found at the park, where we watched the fireworks.
I even made a handful of flyers explaining how much this jacket meant to me with my contact information,
and put them up around the shopping center.
This was before Facebook was really a thing.
Not that I use it anyway, but it wasn't a time when I could just post it online.
and nothing.
I was absolutely devastated.
Life went on, we moved into our own house,
where a lot of those boxes got moved from our storage unit into our garage and stayed packed.
A few years later, we got divorced and moved out of that house,
and the boxes in the garage got moved back to a storage unit that we shared since we were still friends,
and got along great.
A few years after that, my ex-husband moved again,
and was going to need some of the things in the storage unit.
We decided that it would be a good time to go through everything and see what we could get rid of,
since some of the boxes in there had been packed up before we met,
and had not been opened or looked at since.
We get through about three quarters of the storage unit and finally make it to the back.
These were the oldest boxes.
We had no idea what was even in them anymore.
He pulls a box down that I couldn't reach and he hands it to me.
I open it while he starts going through another box.
I see that it's a box of stuff from my childhood.
Some books, a blanket, a few vintage toys, etc.
I pull a small doll blanket that my grandmother made for one of my dolls out of the bottom of the box,
and I froze.
I think I must be seeing things,
and I yell at my ex-husband to come look in the box and tell me what
he sees.
He looks in the box and almost screams.
No way.
Are you messing with me right now?
I look at him and ask him if I'm losing my mind.
He reaches into the box and pulls out the army jacket.
From the bottom of a box that I packed well over a decade ago before we met, that has been
sealed for over 15 years and has moved four times without being opened.
We have no idea how it got there.
We have pictures of our daughter in that jacket,
even though the box has been sealed since before she was born.
To this day, we both get chills any time we think about it.
I have no idea what happened.
And before you ask, there's no way he could have somehow hidden it
and snuck it into that box to mess with me.
For one, that would be a ridiculously difficult and pointless
thing to do for a gotcha moment over a decade in waiting.
Second, it's just not something that he would ever think to do, and the box was never really
accessible, except when it was being moved. So he would have had to have hidden it somewhere in
the house that we shared until we moved again, and then opened the box, and then sealed it all
back up without any signs of it ever having been opened. Just no way. Anyway, thanks for reading.
I enjoy your content and I'm glad that I'm finally able to share this story with someone that doesn't just automatically think that I'm nuts.
So thank you for what you do.
A couple years back, I went to a remote Airbnb in Temakola, California, with a few girls for a Batch the Red weekend.
It was a large ranch-style single-story home, at least 3,500 square feet.
It had some nice updated renovations inside, but you could tell that it was a really old property.
It had a huge yard, at least 2.5 acres, and had grapes growing for wine.
The three other girls lived near each other, and I'm the odd ball out, three hours in the other
directions, so I met them there.
They all arrived first and immediately put the bride to be in the master bedroom to take a nice
bubble bath, while the other girls decorated the living room.
Once I got there, they had done a good amount of decorating, but no unpacking, and everyone's
bags were lying about the kitchen area.
To be clear, the girls had not settled in or even started the party.
The mission was to get the Bachelorette decorations up and start the party when it was all
decorated.
After we finished up with the decorations, one of the girls mentioned that she couldn't find
her phone charger, and her phone had died.
She hadn't taken the charger out of her back yet, but for some reason it wasn't in her bag.
I begin searching her things because she's been known to misplace things in the past,
and as I look into her purse, I see a grocery bag with a brand new, unopened, red, white, and blue hot wheels car in it.
She had a five-year-old son, so that was not out of the ordinary.
I did not find the charger.
All of us were searching the Airbnb for her charger because even though she said she never took it out of the bag,
we thought it was possible she just didn't remember taking it out.
A bit outside of the kitchen and closer to the entrance of the front door was one single fancy chair
that just mostly looked like it was for decoration, since the placement of the chair was so odd.
There was a pillow on the chair and I decided to check behind the pillow,
because even though I knew nobody had stopped or sat there, why not?
As I'm reaching behind the pillow and into the cushion, I feel something hard.
I pull it out and discover it's the red, white, and blue hot wheels car.
Very confused, I said, hey, friend's name, is this your hot wheels?
And she said, the red, white and blue one?
Yeah, I got it for my son when we stopped for snack.
because I knew he'd like it.
I still sat there confused because I had just seen it in her purse while I was looking in it earlier.
So I said, why was it behind the pillow?
And wasn't it still in the packaging?
She looked just as confused as I was.
And she said, what?
It should be in my purse.
I never opened it.
We both walked to her purse, and the red, white and blue hot wheels was still in its packaging,
and in the grocery bag inside of her purse.
I will say that it was not the exact same red, white, and blue hot wheels car,
but it was a red, white, and blue, hot wheels car.
This couldn't have been a prank of any sort from the other girls,
as it was a last-minute impulse by at the grocery store down the street,
where they had stopped for snacks before arriving at the Airbnb.
And what kind of prank would that even be?
I don't know the meaning of it, and I don't know what.
why it happened, and I can't explain it.
To this day, we both get full-body chills when we bring it up.
We did leave the random extra car at the Airbnb, for all we know the family that left
before us had a kid who left the car.
But the coincidence was bizarre, though.
Hi, Raven.
I've been listening for a while and figured that I may as well give a story of my own.
I'm just worried that it won't be long enough or interesting.
enough of a submission, as the events happened a long time ago now, and they are rather short to
explain. The rules say one story per submission, but none of these are enough on their own,
and I figure it's better to have them out there than have glitches go unreported. The rules are more
like suggestions. No one pays attention to them anyways. The main glitch that felt like it was
worth sharing in the first place, I experienced a time jump or lost time. I can tell you
tell you the exact day it happened, because I told my friend about it.
It was November 20, 2022.
I didn't actually note the time on the clock, but it must have been around 5 a.m.
It wasn't a bleary, sleepy wake-up.
I had woken up and was very decidedly awake.
I wasn't even lying down.
I was sitting up in bed during this.
As I was sitting in bed, I heard a sudden beep sound.
I had nothing that would make that noise and no idea what it could be, and as I whipped my head around to look at it,
suddenly the sky was fully bright and the sun was up.
Not sunrises, like orange, but fully bright and blue, and it all changed the lighting of my entire room.
This wasn't the first time that I had experienced this, but the previous time I was lying still,
and I don't remember any noise.
I talked it up to falling asleep,
even if I didn't feel like it was more than a blink,
but this time I was wide awake and moving when it happened.
So did I hear a noise and then fall asleep while upright
and take half an hour or more to react to the noise?
It seems rather unlikely.
Something that I then realized about the sound that I heard,
it wasn't just a simple beep.
It was by modal,
in tone. Like, I had heard the first half of a pitch, and then the second half of a second
same pitch, like, B, E, it makes me feel like whatever the pitch was had paused me and then
un paused me, and all I could experience of the effect was the rising and then falling
trill of whatever device, I guess, had been used to freeze me, as the rest of it was
impossible to experience.
I haven't had any
definitively noticeable experiences
with anything like that since.
Although it's possible that it could
probably happen in a way that I wouldn't
easily notice.
As long as the change isn't literally
night and day.
It would be hard to tell unless you were very
aware of the time.
Occasionally, I see flashes
that look like quick lightning or a camera.
Even in places where it can't
possibly be a glint from something moving
moving outside the window.
I wonder if they're similar to the beep, but they don't seem to come with any other effects.
My second story, if that's okay, it is.
Back in kindergarten, me and three other kids were playing with a rubber ball in a cubby room.
The cubbies were all completely empty.
There was absolutely nothing in this room, and all four of us watched as the ball ricocheted
off the walls and into a cubby.
and then it just stopped existing.
It never bounced out.
The room was only about 7 by 12 feet.
There was literally nothing in the room for it to have gotten lost in.
There was no space underneath the cubby or holes the ball could have gone into.
We all searched for several minutes and came up with nothing.
It was never found.
Dropping something and having it disappear seems like a fairly common glitch.
And I know that this isn't the only time it's happened to me either.
It's alarming, though, that I can't remember all of these events.
Something so miraculous should be harder to forget and just wave away, but the only other
specific example I have that I can recall was an entire spoon falling and vanishing without
ever clattering onto the tile floor.
Also, it was never found again.
In an even smaller room, only about four by four feet, a little.
a kitchenette, and certainly the largest object that I've ever lost this way.
Otherwise, it's such a small interruption that we overlook the impossible thing that we witnessed
without truly absorbing how insane it was. Without any answers, you just have to move on.
It bothers me how many glitches and impossible things may be happening to us, that we blow right
past without noticing, or instantly disregard them because there's nothing to investigate
about them.
If you chose to read this, thank you for reading.
And hopefully some people can comment
similar small experiences
that may not be enough to be sent in as stories.
Before I start this story,
I have a bit of a weird thing of my own
to report about it.
I feel as if I've already read this story.
Now, you may think, okay, why are you reading it again?
So I did a search for any story I've read with this title in my spreadsheet.
There's zero.
I did a search on RedEx for any story using the word Honolulu to see if maybe it was submitted in the past.
There was zero.
I then searched my spreadsheet for any story by anyone named Matthew.
It has been at least three years since I've read any story by a person named Matthew,
and the story I read back then was a camping story.
So, based on all of my documentation, I have never read this story, unless this person changed the title, changed their submission name, change the location, in which case, it's pretty much a different story at that point.
So, I don't know.
Does that mean anything?
Probably not, especially not to you guys.
But to me, it's weird, because I knew exactly what was going to happen in this story before I read it.
And it's not that I've read in the past.
I typically don't do full reads until it's time for the episode.
bizarre. Very, very bizarre.
Anyways, on to the story by Matthew.
My story takes place in Honolulu, Hawaii, sometime in the early 2000s.
I'll give the exact street and spot where the incident happened,
so you can view it on Google Maps to get a better picture of what I saw.
It's about one in the morning, and I'm heading home on the H-1 East.
I take the Bingham Street cut off.
I take a right, heading south, into Eisenberg Street.
and stop at the red light at Baratania Street, which is a one-way street going east to west.
So, at this light, there is a car already waiting in front of me.
And we're the only two cars on the street.
Absolutely, no other cars driving.
We're both waiting at this light, but it's not changing.
Not even the walk signal is changing.
We're waiting a full five minutes, and this light is just not.
changing. And in my mind, I'm thinking, damn, should we just run the red because there's no
cars and the lights not changing? And it's like the driver in front of me read my mind. That driver
then ran the red. But like I said, there was absolutely no other vehicles. As soon as that driver
got barely halfway through the intersection, a police officer driving a personal subsidized vehicle
appeared out of thin air heading west on Baratania Street.
That police officer was going at the posted speed of about 30 miles per hour,
slammed his brakes to a screeching halt,
strobed the blue lights and pulled that stunned driver over.
Before that driver ran the red, he or she saw what I saw,
that there was absolutely zero vehicles coming from the left.
There was nothing.
And absolutely there was no way that any person,
police officer was already cruising down the street with his headlights and blue patrol lights on.
We would have seen him coming from at least 100 yards away.
And there was no way that police were parked on the side, because when he appeared,
he was already at full speed in the middle lane, about 50 or 60 feet from teaboning that vehicle.
This entire incident happened within a few seconds.
I'm at the red light, the vehicle in front of me starts to enter the intersection,
and the police appears out of thin air.
So where did he come from?
I stop at that same light frequently and always wonder,
what exactly did that driver and I witness?
Hi, Raven.
As I said once or twice before,
I think we all go through some kind of glitch or time jump or time standing still.
And speaking of time standing still, now that happens.
I don't know if it's okay to like these strange moments,
but when you're tired and trying to get some sleep, well, anyway, I would wake up and the clock would always show 9 a.m.
So I'd say, hmm, okay, I'll go back to sleep for a little while, since I don't have any place to be and I don't have to go to work.
I would go back to sleep for what feels like maybe an hour or two.
Yet again, I look at the clock, and it's still 9 a.m.
At this point, I'm like, no way.
Of course, I know that it's not, so I get up anyway and start my day and thank whoever gave me that extra time.
And since it's summer and school's out, my granddaughter likes to sleep in, even though she's up late every night.
She seems to wake up at the same time, always 11 a.m. I don't know why.
I was waking up at 10 a.m. daily until we started complaining, and then it all changed.
It's weird.
but I guess we should just be thankful.
Hi, Raven, it's Angel again.
I've just been lying here thinking all kinds of things running through my head.
I'm a frequent listener, so my mind just fell in all the times.
I've heard these different strange glitches on your podcast,
and I realize that I've had a lot of the same glitches as the people who have left you those stories.
Anyway, for one, I feel like I'm living between worlds sometimes.
There are things about my body that keep changing.
For one, I have these weird dents in my head as if I'd had brain surgery, but I haven't.
And sometimes it's there, and sometimes it's not.
Plus, I do suffer with headaches, so what the hay?
Another thing is my middle finger.
I popped it on a job some years ago when I was working, so now it's been bending in as the years
roll by, with age.
But sometimes I look at my hand and all of my fingers look straight.
The bend is visible to where I can't or have a hard time doing things, but what?
Another glitch that I remember, I hear people say all the time on your podcast about seeing
people coming into a place before they actually get there.
So anyway, I was sitting in my living room facing the front door, and suddenly I faced out.
I could feel myself zoning out, and, like, right before me, I could see this whole scene playing out.
It was my daughter and my grandson, who didn't live with me at the time.
I'm sitting there with my grandson, who is about three or four at this point.
He comes up and he pushes my door open really hard.
And my daughter says something, as if he didn't just fling my door open.
So I come out of this state, and in less than five,
Five minutes, here they come.
And the same thing plays out.
So I say, oh, you guys are back.
And of course, she says, no, we just got here.
Of course, I was joking.
And I was very aware that this had happened.
Then I tell her that I swear I just saw you guys come in the same way and saying the same thing.
Just very strange stuff.
Hey, Raven.
I submitted a very long experience of mine a week or so ago that you may not have read yet, but I may try to revise it and resubmit.
But anyway, for a quick backstory, I got involved in a very unhealthy relationship when I was around 17.
That lasted until I was 19, and in that time span is when many glitches and weird things started happening to me.
Although the person I was dealing with has physically nothing to do with this story specifically,
I only brought this up because my mental health was spiraling around this time,
and he was the main cause of it.
This experience was in spring of 2023,
sometime after May as I had just turned 18 years old.
I came home from a long drive that evening to an empty house,
which didn't surprise me,
because my mom worked late every Friday night,
usually getting home around 10 to 11 p.m. at the latest.
It was already 7 p.m. around this time, so the sky was almost completely black.
When I walked into my house,
I distinctly remember setting my phone down on the living room table,
greeting my dog Gooney,
and going to the room to change clothes.
While in my room, I also decided that I really wanted to try to try to.
meditate. Being an unmedicated 18-year-old with crippling anxiety that was only getting worse as I got
older, always had me searching for some sort of remedy to help with my anxious thoughts.
I never resorted to harsh drugs, as I'm one of the luckier ones and was disinterested in that stuff,
albeit living in a part of Florida where, if out at a party, it was inevitable not to find
the people around you doing those drugs. It's also very common.
to have drugs of any kind laced with the not-so-good stuff.
So it was never hard for me to decline when anyone asked me to partake.
Sorry to get off topic.
I heard that grounding yourself while doing breathing exercises
could release a lot of that weighted tension that was on my chest and shoulders at the time.
After changing into more comfortable clothes,
I immediately went to my bathroom to do my nighttime routine,
when I hear yelling from outside.
In my bathroom, there's a small privacy window that resides in my shower and faces my backyard,
which is why I heard the yelling so clearly.
With each house in my neighborhood being less than a car length away at most,
I assumed it was my mid-30s neighbor, whose name I'll leave out of the story,
who happened to at the time have multiple roommates.
It wasn't unusual for them to be loud on a Friday night,
night. After brushing that off, I decided to light some candles and meditate in my bathroom,
only because at the time, my bedroom window that faces the neighbor's house lacked a curtain
so anyone could see right through into my room. I just wanted some privacy, given that it was
already hard for me to calm down, and I didn't want the anxiety of one of my neighbors
seeing me on accident. I don't think I was being
paranoid, though, as I would see them walking through their main gate that's in front of the
window all the time. And it sounded like they were in the backyard playing music and talking,
so I didn't see anything wrong with meditating in there. As I finally sit in my bathroom,
candles lit, I begin to let my mind drift, which felt very relaxing. That feeling didn't last long,
though, when the sound of something from out in the main living room startled me, and it even made
my dog Gooney bark. Having already locked the door to the bathroom instinctively, I sat and listened,
but I heard nothing except the low-volume TV from the living room. I look back at my surroundings,
looking for my phone, and then instantly realize, I left my damn phone out on the living room table.
I don't know why I felt scared to go out there.
So just one more listen would reassure and put me to ease, I told myself.
As I heard my dog growling the whole time, I was listening.
He couldn't do much, though.
He's a small dog with a loud bark, but no bite.
And also knowing that I didn't lock the front door, I never do.
My neighborhood, more like area, is the safest part of the city.
So as I'm sitting there looking at the light from under the doorway, I swear I saw feet come up and turn towards the door.
My heart instantly dropped, but I didn't make a sound.
I remember closing my eyes for what felt like hours in that candlelit bathroom until finally getting enough adrenaline to swing the door open,
because of the now vacant feet.
I called out, Mom?
No answer.
I speedwalked down the hall and see my dog sitting on the couch.
And when my eyes shifted to where my phone should have been sitting, there was no phone.
I start to have a mini panic attack, as all my realizations, anxieties, and logic point to someone having been in my house, right?
Before succumbing to these thoughts, I check the entire house top to bottom, looking from my house.
my phone that has seemingly vanished into thin air.
Feeling uneasy, I retrace my steps hundreds of times, checking rooms I hadn't even been in,
knowing that I only walked in the house, put my phone down on the living room table,
walked down the hall to change, and then went to the bathroom to meditate.
With my mind confused, yet sure, my thoughts then start to betray me.
The only thing that could make sense of the missing phone,
which I didn't mention this little detail before,
is the fact that my mom is very acquainted with our neighbor,
all having friends of friends and whatnot.
He's the only one with his roommates or friends that I would assume,
who was in the vicinity.
So, my mind deemed him or one of his roommates responsible for my missing phone.
It's the only thing that made sense,
other than a random person walking in and taking it.
Still, doubting this theory, as I didn't physically see anyone,
only the feet made tangible under the crack of the bathroom door.
Either way, I grabbed my purse and ran to my car,
because I just didn't want to be home alone at this point.
I end up driving for about 20 minutes,
nowhere specific just to pass the time,
until I knew for sure that my mom would be home.
When I arrive back home, I'm relieved to see my mom's car in the driveway.
Keep in mind, I'm having a breakdown crying at this point, because of how confused I was.
I've lost my phone plenty of times in my life, even closing it in a drawer one time only to find it later,
remembering that I placed it there and just forgot that I closed the drawer with it in it.
I felt so stupid in that moment.
I make my way inside my house, kind of running into my mom's room while hearing the shower running.
I didn't want to interrupt her, so I waited in her bedroom that sat across the doorway to her bathroom,
located in her room for a few minutes and still crying until she came out in a towel.
I startled her, and she was immediately asking me what was wrong.
I told her what happened.
I told her that it logically had to be someone nearby.
I then asked her to knock on the neighbor's door and ask if they had seen it.
Without the memory of what is being said,
she definitely thought that I was going crazy.
And I don't blame her.
Her first instinct was to call my phone to see if it would ring.
After calling my phone over ten times,
not even hearing a buzz sound in the now quiet house,
She could see how upset and distraught I was over this situation.
And shortly after getting dressed, went over to ask our neighbor if he had seen it to no avail.
They didn't have it.
At this point, I just started stressing about waking up for work.
I had work at 7.30 every day, and my phone has an alarm set to wake me up each morning.
After some time of battling tears, what I knew, what I saw on the logic of this whole ordeal,
I fell asleep.
I remember half waking up and hearing what I thought was my alarm going off, and when I opened my eyes,
I see my mom standing there with my phone in her hand, alarm ringing.
I come out of my half-asleep state fast as all the memories from the day before flood in.
Where was it? I asked in a surprised tone.
She looked at me with an annoyed look and told me where she found it.
In my bathroom is this table that we used to use as a bookshelf when I was younger,
but we spray painted it, and now it just holds towels and toilet paper.
My phone was directly underneath this table.
Out of sight, obviously.
My mom acted as if I had put it there,
but even she was a little confused because of how unusual it was.
Given that we even made sure the house was silent while calling it dozens of times the night before,
and never hearing a single buzz.
And she saw how worked up I was the night before.
Either way, she brushed it off like she does with everything in our lives.
I was semi-embarrassed yet confused, and I was okay with it at that moment.
Also, I have no idea how it could have gotten underneath that table,
even with me having been in there most of the night while being alone.
I know I didn't use it while I was in the bathroom, as that's the thing.
I have no memory of even bringing my phone into the bathroom.
Maybe my memory got the best of me, or maybe I slipped into a reality where I brought my phone into the bathroom,
maybe accidentally somehow kicking it under a table in the candlelit room,
which is not likely as I was seated in a criss-cross position, directly next to the door.
The table was maybe two to three feet away from me.
Even so, I have no memory of bringing my phone in there, and not even a little bit.
The one theory I hate thinking about is something I don't want to believe, but what if that person that I thought I saw walking under the door never left my house in the first place,
as I didn't quite check the entire house.
I left out the laundry room in the garage, which are connected because I knew that I didn't go in there for a fact.
so I didn't think to check them.
And maybe they slipped it in the bathroom where they clearly knew I was once me and my mom were fast asleep.
I tell myself that it was my mind playing tricks on me that day.
But it's scary to think about all the things that might have happened that night.
Hey, Raven.
I've submitted a story before, which got featured on your channel, which was very fun for me.
And something glitchy just happened again, which I,
I would like to share, because this scared the crap out of me.
So I went to bed, everything was normal, and I drifted to sleep.
I dreamt about my ex, as usual, and countering him at a party this time with some friends.
We were in some kind of karaoke bar, and apparently he had gotten a boyfriend for some reason.
So I naturally went up to him and was like, dang, who's this?
when he was going to answer me, the scene in the dream suddenly shifted.
I woke up in my sleep, still dreaming, and I just saw my room, but just slightly different.
Then it skipped to another scene, where a patient I've been in the psych ward with years ago was suddenly in my house, choking me,
wearing a blue sweater, denim jeans, and black shoes.
This is important for later.
Then it skipped to me trying to wake up,
several times with no luck.
And then finally waking up at 4 a.m. for real this time, and then I thought, what a strange dream.
I then went back to sleep after watching some movies to get tired again.
When I passed out, I continued the dream in the karaoke bar like normal, and found out why my ex
had a boyfriend now.
When I woke up again, I was getting ready to go to the store to get a package and some
hygiene products.
On my way up to my neighborhood, some few houses away, the guy from the psych ward in the dream was walking down the road, in the same blue sweater, denim jeans, and black shoes, exactly like he was in my dream.
Mind you, he doesn't live there. He lives far away.
I've never seen him there, and this was the first time in years that I've seen him.
This scared the crap out of me, and I got the nastiest feeling.
down my spine. I could not get away, like an intuition feeling of something creeping on me.
Now, I don't know if this could be a huge coincidence, or if he actually was in my house. I actually
forgot to lock my door last night, but he doesn't know where I live, and neither do he have any
bad blood. So this was definitely very strange. I guess this could be called Deja Reve, or something.
But anyway, thank you for listening and please share if anyone has experienced anything like this in your life.
Hello, my name is Alex, or Alexandar, but that's just the Serbian version of Alexander.
Serbia is a very religious, orthodox Christian country, so my mom to this day probably thinks that this was something demonic.
Back in 2024, me, my mom, and her boyfriend went into the city.
with him driving us there, with us all having to do different things.
And we all agreed at 1 p.m. to call each other back and meet at the park so that he could drive us back home.
I had to go to the bank to pick up some cash for my debit card.
My mom had to go to the apothecary to get herself some Nevea skin cream and other stuff,
and my mom's boyfriend had gone to do some check-up at the hospital that I've forgotten the details of.
When me and my mom were done, we saw each other at the park.
So we sat down and ate a kifla, which is basically like a miniature version of a baguette,
with something that looks like a sweet cream on top of it, but it's actually made out of salt,
and it's not sweet.
Anyway, as we sat there, we tried calling my mom's boyfriend on his cell phone, but nothing went through.
We tried calling each other, too, as a check, thinking maybe our SIM cards could have been disabled,
but nothing worked.
So, for a bit, we thought,
thought that perhaps the bill payment for that month didn't pass to the post office correctly,
and that me and my mom's SIM cards really were disabled.
It was as if our individual numbers were all cut off.
Thing is, I could still call my grandma and my aunt, and my mom could call them too.
It was just that my mom couldn't reach my number or her boyfriend's.
Nor could I reach my mom or her boyfriend's number, and then 10 minutes later he walked next to us,
furious, asking why we turned off our phones.
And he said that he'd been trying to call both of us for the last ten minutes.
Then he tried calling his friends as another check, and he could call anyone, but just not me or my mom.
That's the weird part.
At first, we assumed that maybe our phone cards were cut off in the system on accident or something, but if that were the case, then we shouldn't be able to reach
anyone, nor should anyone be able to call us back. But for some reason, our three phones specifically
couldn't reach one another, while they could reach and be reached by anyone else. And we could reach
each other again once we all went back home, as our phones all did ring when we tried calling
one another again. Now, he and my mom are no longer together, and they have broken up, but
both of them are convinced that some very malevolent forces were at.
play that afternoon, and definitely demonic in some way. But to me, it almost seems like a
reality glitch, because you've got to wonder, how would the devil benefit from exclusively
targeting a family going out to the city, and making sure that just their SIM card numbers
temporarily can't reach one another, while they can reach anyone else, and be reached by anyone
else. Hello, Raven. I've been listening to you every night when I go to bed for the past year and a half.
Your voice is incredibly soothing and helps me sleep so much. Well, thank you so much for that.
More than that, thank you for making the rest of us feel like we're not completely insane. I genuinely
love the community that we have here. Anyway, enough rambling. My story starts back when I was in year
10, or grade 9 for my friends across the pond. At the time, I was in the time, I was in the same.
my brother and I shared a room because the house was a bit cramped for a family hour size.
We were lying in bed watching YouTube when my brother casually asked me,
What day is it?
It was, say, Saturday.
Naturally, I thought that it would be funny to prank him and say that it was Sunday,
hoping he would panic about rushing his weekend homework.
To make him extra nervous, I turned to the Alexa in our room right as I asked the question.
Yes, I was a little evil.
admit it. Then, to my absolute disbelief, Alexa answered, today is Sunday. That should have been
impossible. I knew for a fact it was Saturday, and I definitely hadn't asked what the day tomorrow was.
I clearly said today. Freaking out because I also suddenly worried that I had homework due the next day,
we shouted for our dad. When he came upstairs and asked Alexa the exact same question, she answered,
Today is Saturday.
Now, I know for a fact what she said the first time, so why on earth would it glitch out and say the exact day I was using for a prank?
Part of me as a theory that my brother and I briefly slipped into some kind of parallel universe where it really was Sunday.
And when we called our dad back up, they merged back together.
I know that it could have just been a random technical glitch, but there was something about that night that has always stuck.
with the both of us.
Anyway, thanks again for giving us a space to share our bizarre stories.
It's always appreciated.
