Hi, Raven.
You're my favorite narrator, and I've listened to a lot.
I appreciate that you're really a nice person and it shows.
And I proudly display my signed Raven poster on my door.
Thank you very much for that.
Glitches are my everyday life.
These stories of things disappearing and reappearing, I call that Tuesday.
It's been happening all my life, so I don't even try to make sense of it anymore.
Unfortunately, the vast majority of items that go missing for me never reappear, even when I pack up and move.
I've permanently lost an uncountable number of belongings this way.
One of the strangest was more than 20 years ago, when my avocado tree disappeared.
I'd bought it and planted it in my backyard, and three days later, it was gone, never to be seen again.
My husband at the time was witness to this, so I didn't imagine it or anything.
Our backyard wasn't accessible to anyone.
It was fenced in on all sides.
There was no hole where we had planted it, just a smooth over spot.
This is why I don't submit my stories.
To me, they're my norm.
But I just had something pretty cool happens, so I'm sending you this in case it may help someone else.
I'm almost 60, and I take various medications daily.
I keep them in a little plastic daily pill organizer.
Yesterday after my morning dose, I set the pillkeeper back on my bedside table, where I always keep it.
Last night, when it was time for my evening dose, the pillkeeper was gone.
Not on my bedside table where I clearly remembered having said it that morning.
I looked everywhere on the table, next to and under the table.
but it was gone.
This morning, when it was time for my morning dose,
I saw that my pillkeeper was still missing.
So I spent more time looking all around for it.
It wasn't anywhere.
Then I tried something else.
I spoke out loud to whomever it is that plays these pranks,
or the Matrix Masters, or whatever powers that be.
I said,
It's frustrating when you move my normal everyday items,
but this is about my health
and not something we mess around with.
Please, return my pillkeeper now.
At the very moment that I finished that sentence,
I heard something hit the floor next to my bed.
I don't have carpeting, and I could tell that it was the sound of plastic.
I thought it must be my pillkeeper.
But at the exact moment that I'd asked for it,
the thump sound was louder than I thought it should be.
since it weighs next to nothing.
It was indeed my pillkeeper.
I think the sound it made was a little louder than it should have been,
maybe so that I would hear it for sure.
Or maybe it was the sound like that of a petulant child saying,
okay, fine, and begrudgingly tossing it back to me.
So, to my dear fellow lost item glitch targets,
next time something goes inexplicably missing,
try asking nicely.
You might just get it back.
Love to all and to you and yours, Raven.
Much love.
Hello, Raven.
I've been an avid listener to your stories for a year now.
I never expected that I would write a glitch story,
but it feels absolutely weird,
and I haven't forgotten about it days later.
It happened last weekend.
It was a relatively mundane,
dayne Saturday morning when my aunt called me for an unexpected errand.
I had to rush my breakfast and put the bread and stuffing in the oven toaster.
I always said it's on my usual timer, which is five minutes.
At the same time, I decided to take a bath since I have to go outside to accomplish that errand.
I always take a bath on my usual duration, which is around 10 to 15 minutes,
and expect the toaster to be done by then.
After bathing and checking the toaster, to my surprise, it still turned on with ten minutes left on the timer.
I was shocked.
I was alone in the house at that time, so there was no chance that someone pulled a prank on me.
I was genuinely baffled because it broke a lot of the usual stuff that I expected things to happen.
It wasn't overcooked or turned into charcoal, and there had definitely been at least 15 or more minutes.
since I turned it on, and I ate it just fine.
A small detail I can vividly recall is that I heard a popping noise inside the toaster,
as I looked at it in shock after bathing.
I've used the toaster a number of times after that incident,
and it's been totally normal since then.
I don't know if there's any side effects of eating a glitched breakfast,
but I genuinely freaked out.
I've yet to know if this leads to other different things,
that change in my timeline.
Surely it couldn't have only been the toaster event and nothing else.
I believe our reality is a lot more complex than what we are able to see.
If there are more future glitches in my reality, I'll be happy to write them to you.
And thank you.
My friend and I took a beach trip our senior year of high school by ourselves to Myrtle Beach.
This was such an important moment for both of us, as we've never been.
taken a trip by ourselves without our families joining us.
We were staying at my aunt's beach camper and not having to pay her or anything.
It was super generous of her.
It was a small camper with one main bedroom on the far right side,
a living area with a counter space as soon as you enter the door,
and a room on the far left with bunk beds.
Each morning we would pack a cooler with snacks, beverages, sunscreen,
and whatever we needed to stay on the beach until lunchtime.
My aunt let us use her golf cart to drive down to the beach,
which was super convenient and generous of her.
We always put the keys to the building,
which contained the charger for the golf cart,
and keys to the camper itself,
in the outside pocket of the cooler,
both on two different key rings.
So, inevitably, a couple of days into the trip,
we went through our routine of packing said bag.
putting on our swimsuits and getting ready for the day.
We head down to the beach and go about our day having fun.
Around noon, it's time to head back to the camper.
My friend and I park the golf cart in front of the shed
and grab the house keys from the bag to get into the camper.
She sets down the cooler bag on the counter.
We hang out for a little bit,
going in and out of the bedroom trying to gather our things
to hit the shower house down the gravel road later on.
At some point we realized that we should probably charge the golf cart in the meantime, but we can't find the cooler bag.
It seemed like it just disappeared.
We searched everywhere in the camper, and even on the small front porch.
It was nowhere to be found.
We both start freaking out and stressing because my aunt will be so disappointed if we lost her keys.
I contemplated calling my aunt and explaining that we lost the keys, but...
Something told me that we could just go to Lowe's or Home Depot to get bolt cutters
and then just replace the keys and lock ourselves.
So she wouldn't have to know.
We didn't want to jeopardize a future trip down to the beach.
So we grabbed the car keys and head to get the bolt cutters
and a new lock and key to replace the one on the building.
We had a successful trip,
and the guy even said that we could just return the bolt cutters later for a refund.
The car ride back to the camper, we just felt dumbfounded that we lost the keys,
and how it didn't make sense because we had the cooler when we came back from the beach.
But we were ready to take our losses and move on with the day.
We park and head to the camper, and as soon as we open the door,
our eyes meet the counter where the cooler was perfectly sitting.
We both kind of just freeze.
It felt like we had seen a ghost.
I look inside the pocket of the cooler and sure enough the keys were right in there.
Mind you, my aunt is not in town, and no one else has the keys to the camper.
I still, to this day, ten years later, am shook to my core that the cooler just disappeared and reappeared.
My friend and I occasionally bring it up and think to ourselves that we're going crazy,
but we both remember this house.
happening. This glitch in the Matrix occurred in my parents' house when I was staying with them
for a while. This was a few years ago, so I would have been in my mid-20s. I was home alone in the
house, so it was just me and the dog in the house. I went downstairs to play the piano, a common
pastime of mine, and I noticed that the back door to our garden was wide open. No big deal,
as we usually leave the back door open so that the dog can freely roam the house in the garden.
For context, my parents' house is a large detached house,
with a large garden in a middle-class suburb,
where crime is virtually non-existent, so we frequently leave the back door open,
so long as at least somebody is at home.
I distinctly remember seeing the back door wide open,
and the garden was very visible, but,
At the time, I just ignored it and went to play the piano.
After a few minutes, I decided I would close the back door and ensure that the dog was inside.
So as to not disturb the neighbors with my loud piano playing.
But when I went to do so, I discovered that the door was now closed again.
I was the only person in the house at the time, and I definitely remember clearly seeing the back door open,
exposing the sight of the garden.
except now it was closed.
Not only that, it was also locked,
which is something that can only happen on the inside.
At first I thought the wind had blown it shut, but it wasn't windy,
and the door was heavy,
so it would have taken a very strong breeze to close it.
And, anyway, that doesn't explain why it's locked.
At this point, I started to genuinely freak out,
thinking that maybe somebody had entered the house,
and for some reason, decided to close and lock the back door.
I even grabbed a weapon and slowly searched the house but found nobody.
For a few minutes, I was genuinely terrified at the prospect that somebody had broken into the house,
but when I found no evidence of this, I was relieved, if not still bewildered.
Also, our dog, who was up and wandering all over the house, would definitely have noticed somebody breaking in and would have barked.
The only rational explanation I can muster is that I somehow closed and locked the door, and for some reason my brain cancelled the memory.
Again, it's normal for the back door to be open when we're home, and I don't often close it, unless I have a specific reason to do so.
I'm not mentally unwell or on drugs, so I have no idea why I would have randomly closed and locked the back door and then just deleted any memory of doing so, especially since I felt genuine fear when I went to search.
When I was in second grade, I went to a small private Christian school.
One day after recess, I was walking back into the school building when I saw something strange.
A girl standing against a wall in the hallway.
She looked like she was my age, but there was something off about her.
She didn't seem solid.
More like a projection or a hologram.
Curious, I walked up to her and asked her her name.
She told me her name was Chelsea.
I introduced myself, let's call myself Buddy for this story.
And we talked for a moment.
I don't remember much of what we said,
but I do remember telling her I had to go back to class.
She nodded and that was the end of it.
Or so I thought.
Fast forward two years.
By then my family had moved to a new city about eight hours away,
still within the same province.
Now I was in the fourth grade,
attending a completely different school.
One day I met a girl in my class who looked oddly familiar.
It took me a moment, but then it hit me.
She was the same girl that I'd seen standing in the hallway two years prior.
I asked her if she recognized me into my shock.
She said that she did.
Then she told me something even stranger.
She had seen me in her school the same way I had seen her.
She said I looked like a projection, or a hologram,
standing in a specific spot in her school.
She even took me to that spot like she wanted to prove it really happened.
We didn't become close friends or anything, and that was pretty much the end of it, but even now, years later, I can't stop thinking about it.
Why did we see each other like that?
Was it some kind of glitch in reality?
A portal opening between two places, or something else entirely?
I don't think I'll ever know the answers, but this experience stands out as one of the strangest.
moments of my life.
Hey, Raven.
First of all, thank you again for going above and beyond
to sending the posters to me up here
and the Great White North.
They're amazing and so are you.
Of course, happy to do so.
This isn't scary, but it's definitely weird
and was witnessed by four other people.
Last week, I and a couple of friends
were helping our friend, T, set her apartment back up
after it had to be sprayed for roaches.
apartment buildings can suck.
T has several cats, and one of the things we unpacked was a box of cat toys.
This was wrapped and tucked in the living room under a table, so not buried or crammed under anything.
She pulled out some of the cat's favorite toys, including one of those wands with the wire strung with a few beads and feathers at the end.
We all know them.
usually a two or so foot length of wire that you can dangle in front of your cats.
Except this was no longer a wire.
About four inches past the end with the feathers, the wire is tightly coiled, like a compact spring.
There are a few beads on either side of the coil.
We all look at it and T is clearly confused, asking how the heck that could have possibly happened.
She turned to her boyfriend and asked if he remembered this wand and he said yes,
that he had tripped on the wire a thousand times.
It was not coiled.
I've never seen a cat wand like that,
and I can't see why someone would design one that way.
The feathers at the end were half chewed off,
so it was definitely old and well loved.
Now, I know that insecticide chemicals can do some wonky things,
but I've never heard of them manipulating metal before.
Again, nothing spooky, but definitely a bizarre glitch.
Maybe The Matrix got bored while she was away and twiddling its thumbs on this toy.
Who knows?
Hey, Raven, my name is Dave.
I'm 47 years old, and I live in the Netherlands.
I've been listening to your podcast for over a year now,
and I especially enjoy the glitch in the Matrix stories.
I always listen to the stories on my way to work, and I really like your narration style.
Thank you.
I really feel that sharing stories helps people with making some sort of explanation for themselves
about the strange things that are going on in this world.
First, a little background.
I've always had memories about my early childhood.
I mean from as young as being a baby.
I remember things from that time.
like understanding everything people said, and being annoyed when people couldn't understand me.
Then there was this man around me who was some sort of guide.
I thought everybody could see him, but soon found out this wasn't the case,
when I knocked a vase over and tried to blame this man.
This was later verified by my mom, who said that I indeed always talked about that man.
I can also clearly remember sitting in a shirt,
stroller at the age of three or so, and thinking about the choice I made of coming into this world as a boy.
At that time, I clearly knew it was a conscious decision.
The guide told me that all my knowledge about the world would go away by the age of eight,
and I made a promise not to forget, but most of it I did forget.
I think this world is not what most people think it is, and all the glitch stories are proof of that.
I've always had things glitching around me, like missing tools that are found the moment I stand up,
to find out they were in front of me the whole time.
I have a distinct feeling that someone is messing with me, or trying to teach me a lesson.
So, here are a few of my craziest stories.
Story one.
This one might look obvious to explain it first because it happened when I was stoned with some friends.
It was in the late 90s.
Me and two friends had smoked.
We walked to the shopping center, and my friend, A, went to the supermarket to get some food and drinks.
Me and my other friend, B, stayed outside because we didn't want to face all the people in the supermarket.
Right after A went in, and after I told him not to get anything for me, I decided that I was actually thirsty and wanted a can of soda.
Now, I didn't want to go in myself, so I looked around to spot a Coke vending machine.
This was the era where all the vending machines were cash only.
Electric payment wasn't really a thing yet.
So, with cash in hand, I went to the machine, and as I was looking for the coin slot,
I realized that I couldn't really locate it right away.
annoyed, I looked at the machine over and over and still could not locate it.
After about two minutes, my friend B. came over and asked what was taking so long.
At that point, I gave up and explained that I couldn't find the coin slot.
I even went as far as checking the back of the machine.
I knew I was going to get laughed at, and indeed he did.
I was fine with that as long as he helped me locate the slot.
After he was finished with his laughter and was done pointing out that I was stoned,
and couldn't see straight.
He took a look at the machine.
Dude, it's right...
Uh-huh.
I replied.
Yeah, right where.
We both looked the machine over for another two minutes or so, but still hadn't found it.
Now A had come back from the supermarket and saw us looking all over this Coke machine.
B, at that point, was dumbfounded as I was,
and we both explained that there was no coin slot.
A couldn't even comprehend what we talked about, so we just asked him to find the slot.
A was the most sober of all of us, and surely he would be able to find it.
After another few minutes of us three looking and feeling the machine over, we left empty-handed.
I needed to get away from that machine because I was weirded out, and had even begun testing if I was dreaming or not.
Now, story too.
This happened in 2019.
I was, and still am, living together with my girlfriend, Henny.
We already had a lot of glitchy stuff happening to us,
like lighters disappearing and reappearing,
a hole in the middle of a tile in the front yard that previously wasn't there,
so by that time, we were kind of used to stuff like this.
I had just taken a shower and grabbed a towel from the closet in the bathroom.
I noticed that it was a bright red one and I hadn't seen it before.
As I looked it over, I saw that it had the McDonald's logo on it,
and underneath that it says, good job.
I figured it must have been some sort of gift for employees,
and since neither my girlfriend nor myself had ever worked at McDonald's,
it was really surprising.
I asked Henny where the towel had come from,
and she explained that it just showed up in the laundry basket,
and she washed it and put it in the closet thinking it was mine.
As I explained, I had never seen it before, we looked at each other stunned.
So, now, we refer to this towel as the one from another dimension.
And story three.
Okay, so this one happened earlier this year in April.
Henny and I were on vacation in Japan.
We had first visited Tokyo and stayed there for a week.
After that, we traveled around by train and went from hotel to hotel.
I had my power bank with me at all times because we were very much depending on our cell phones for everything.
Booking.com, Google Maps, and Google Translate are necessities.
The power bank was always kept in either my jacket pocket or my backpack.
We had just left the hotel and were in the train on our way to Kyoto when I grabbed my jacket looking for.
the power bank.
When we leave a hotel, we both look the whole room over because we realize what a pain it is
to get your stuff back in a country where neither of us speak the language.
So when I couldn't find it in my jacket, I went to the backpack and looked in the pocket where I
always keep it.
Nothing.
I looked in all the other pockets.
Nothing.
Looked in our other bags.
Still, nothing.
I literally looked at it.
four times in the backpack where it should have been, and Henny then took everything out,
and we both confirmed that the backpack was empty.
When we came to Kyoto, first thing we did was buy a new power bank.
As it happened, they had the exact same model for sale, and as I was very pleased with it,
I bought it right away.
Now, you know what's coming, and so did I.
I didn't want to say it to Henny, but I knew in the back of my mind that the power
The power bank was going to show up again.
So the next day when I grabbed my backpack, it felt kind of heavy.
I knew it right away.
I opened up the pocket where I always keep it, and there it was.
Like it had always been there.
I grabbed the new one to make sure, and we now had two identical power banks, and then I showed it to Henney.
Even though we had a lot of glitches happening, we still couldn't believe what happened.
I distinctly remember verifying with Henny that this was not possible,
and she agreed that there was no way it could have been there.
We both are not the kind of person to play pranks,
and we can't keep a straight face for long.
No one else was near our luggage the entire time.
To state the obvious,
at no time were we ever using drugs or anything else,
and we were both sober and very well rested.
I hope you enjoyed my stories.
There are a lot more, but I think this is lengthy enough as it is.
Perhaps I'll submit them at a later time.
Hi, Raven.
A few years ago, my husband and I went to Buffalo Wild Wings and our local town
that we enjoy going to quite often.
When we headed home, it was just starting to get dark outside.
We went to the usual way, heading northbound along the main road,
the same way we always do,
and we headed up to the first red light
where we always make a left.
When the light turned green,
I proceeded to turn left,
heading westbound,
as my husband was in the passenger seat,
glancing out the passenger window looking east.
I was still in the process of making the left-hand turn
when my husband said,
where's the brown building?
I said, what?
And then quickly glanced behind
while making that left, where the brown building would have been located at the northeast corner,
and I noticed it was gone.
He said when we were at the light, he was staring off in that direction,
and realized he was only staring at the desert landscape,
with lights in the distance from a Gulf course driving range that is up the road from there.
It took him a minute to realize the building was gone.
This building had always creeped me out.
It didn't have windows,
and it sat in a lonely parking lot by itself at this corner.
It was a bar at one time, in a real estate office,
and I remember seeing a large commercial real estate sign
sitting at that corner one time.
Anyway, I proceeded to head home,
and I couldn't get it out of my mind.
My husband asked me to turn around as we were driving home.
I was second-guessing that maybe the building was up a little further up that road,
although deep down inside I knew he was right.
I had said no since we had a couple beers that night.
That night at home, I said maybe they sold the building and tore the building down.
We decided to take a drive the next day and the building and the parking lot were there again.
We can't explain what happened, but we both saw that the building was not there, Raven.
I do have a few more crazy glitch in the Matrix.
and unexplainable stories that I'd like to submit when I have time.
I appreciate your channel, have been listening to it for years.
Your soothing voice makes it easy to listen to,
and it's good to know that we're not all just losing our minds.
That glitches are real.
This is a small glitch, but I still think about it often.
I'm a professional musician.
Many years ago, I was performing at a folk festival,
and bought myself a pair of earrings from a vendor.
They were nothing fancy,
just a small silver set of dangly earrings
that were the classic tree of life image.
About a year later, I was staying in Toronto
attending rehearsals prior to a tour.
The group had made t-shirts for the tour,
and I tried what on at the rehearsal to make sure it fit.
When I arrived back to the home where I was staying that evening,
I realized one of my earrings was missing.
I assumed it had been knocked off when I tried on the T-shirt earlier,
and I figured I likely wouldn't find it,
as I wouldn't be back in the rehearsal space again to look for it.
Nevertheless, I showed the single earring to my host
and asked her to keep an eye out for it around the house,
in case it turned up.
Sometimes I find lost earrings hiding in my curly hair,
or in my scarves, or perhaps I had lost it before or after the rehearsal.
I tucked the remaining earring into a small pocket in my purse,
just in case the other one turned up.
For a couple of years,
I would see the single earring in the jewelry box in my bedroom and feel a bit sad.
Though they weren't expensive,
they had sentimental value as they reminded me of the festival where I purchased them,
so I didn't have the heart to throw it out.
One day, I reached deep into the pocket of my purse, and felt an earring.
I pulled it out, and it was the single earring I had tucked in there in Toronto.
I live over 3,000 kilometers away.
I was confused, as I thought I had placed that single earring in my jewelry bowl in my bedroom,
and I had seen it there many times.
So I checked, and sure enough, I now had the complete set of earrings.
One in my jewelry bowl at home,
and one that I had tucked into my purse for safekeeping when the other was lost.
I had no idea how the lost earring found its way to my jewelry bowl across the country,
nor how I had never come across the earring in my purse all those years,
so I'm not sure which earring glitched its way back into my possession.
In any case, I was happy to have the set reunited and began wearing them again.
Within a month, I returned home from the hardware store one day to realize I was, once again, missing an earring.
It has not turned up yet.
Perhaps the universe realized the glitch and corrected itself by once again making one of the earrings disappear.
Months later, I bought myself a new set of tree-of-life earrings.
This time they were gold.
I don't specifically remember losing one of them, but I now only have one in my jewelry bowl at home.
The other has never turned up.
I guess the universe really doesn't want me to have a set set.
of Tree of Life earrings.
If I see another set one day,
I think I'll buy them
and see how long I can keep the pair without losing one.
This happened a few days ago.
It was just another ordinary day.
I was minding my business,
washing my clothes like I always did.
A little backstory,
I have a cousin who lives across the street,
but not directly opposite my house.
Our homes are slightly staggered.
This particular day, a neighbor was getting married, and since my cousin is good friends with him,
he had been helping with the wedding arrangements.
He wasn't home when all of this went down.
Now, to the story.
I was outside at the side of my house, taking clothes out of the dryer to hang them up.
The sun was just right, and I was in my zone.
That's when I heard it.
A car with loud music pulled up in front of it.
of my cousin's house.
Curious, I paused for a moment, but since I couldn't see his house directly from where I stood,
I could only see the street.
I continued with my chores.
About ten seconds later, the car drove off.
I leaned forward to catch a glimpse of it.
To my surprise, it was my cousin in his gray car.
Windows rolled down, and I saw him clearly, wearing a blue shirt, party, and he was a blue shirt,
party vibes, and all.
He was heading in the opposite direction,
not the direction that he had come from,
and I thought to myself,
this man is definitely in party mode.
Shrugging it off, I continued with my task.
I grabbed two more pieces of clothing from the dryer
and then moved to the front of the house to hang them on the balcony.
But then, something strange happened.
There he was, my cousin, again.
pulling into his driveway coming from the opposite direction, not the direction he went.
Same car, same blue shirt, only this time there was no loud music.
I froze. What just happened?
It had only been seconds since I saw him leave in the other direction, and now he comes from the opposite direction.
What is happening? Was it someone else the first time?
But I clearly saw him.
He had a specific look.
It was definitely him.
And if he took a detour, it's impossible to be home in less than 20 seconds.
The detour usually takes five to six minutes.
And it left me wondering, who was it the first time?
So it's 9.50 a.m. right now.
And my mom, who doesn't really pay attention to the glitches that happened to her,
came to me to share the two consecutive glitches.
that happened in the span of like an hour this morning.
Every day my mom wakes up at 5.30 a.m. and makes Tiffin for my dad. There's a food in India,
we call it lucci, which is a deep fried flatbread made of flour. My mom makes four luchies for
my dad, but today, by mistake, she had put the first lucci when the oil wasn't ready yet.
It made the lucci crispy, and that's not what my dad.
prefers. So my mom had to fry four more luchies, and she kept counting them as she was still a bit
sleepy. Keeping all five of them on a plate, she went out of the kitchen to put the remaining
dough in their refrigerator. When she came back to pack Dad's lunchbox, she noticed that there
were only four luchies, along with the crispy one. I guess the universe doesn't care about my
tat's preference. Now, the next glitch actually occurred first.
First. My mom narrated it to me in reverse orders, so I'm doing the same.
When my mom woke up at 5.30, she went to the washroom first and then to the balcony to watch our neighbor's argument show.
She decided that she would rest in the bed for a few more minutes before going to the kitchen.
So she came into the bedroom, closed the door, but she clearly thought to herself that she's not going to lock it.
and she clearly remembers not locking the door.
She walks up to the bed and rests in a half-sitting, half-laying position for four to five minutes.
She was sleepy but couldn't doze off, as she knew that she would have to wake up soon.
After four to five minutes, when she was going to leave the room,
she pulled the door handle but couldn't open the door.
She looked up, and to her surprise, the door was locked.
It has a vertical sliding bolt gate latch, and it wasn't just pushed up, but also turned to the side.
And my mom said that she was so sure she didn't do it.
I was also sleeping in the same bedroom and didn't get off the bed until 9 a.m.
My mom generally brushes off the glitches that happen with her, but this time she said it's the biggest one, and she can't brush it off.
I was the one that introduced her to these terms, like Glitch and the Maitratured.
time slip, simulation theory, etc.
And she said that if I hadn't talked to her about those things,
she would definitely think there was a ghost in our house.
All right, that's all.
Thank you, Raven.
You were the one I thought of when my mom was yapping her stories to me.
Thank you.
When I was 11, my aunt had given me a really expensive necklace,
about $100 for Christmas.
I was very surprised because she wasn't a rich person.
Once we had opened the rest of the presents,
we all went into our room and put our presents away.
I immediately made a special holder for it since I didn't want to ruin it.
I went to put it on, but I dropped it.
I then looked everywhere.
My floor was spotless, but the presence on my floor.
I looked everywhere under my dresser, under my bed,
even in the drawers.
I shook all the clothes, and I even checked inside of them.
I was panicking.
I thought they were going to be mad,
and I would never get anything for Christmas again.
We ate dinner, and then I started to panic after looking again.
I eventually calmed down and fell asleep because it was late.
I woke up and did my laundry,
and then I went to go play with the stuff I got for Christmas.
A couple of hours later, I went to get the laundry, and I folded it and put it away.
Then, I put on an outfit.
There was a lump in the shirt.
It had two layers, so I thought that it was weird because the layers were sewn together.
I felt it a little bit, and it felt like the necklace.
I didn't really care about that shirt, so I cut it open.
There it was.
the necklace.
I was so happy, and coincidentally, my aunt was there, so I told her how I had lost it.
She was also happy, and that is how I experienced a glitch in the Matrix.
When I was a teenager, I once stayed at my aunt's house for a few weeks during summer vacation.
The house was an old turn-of-the-century farmhouse with a decaying barn in the back.
One night I headed upstairs to the guest bedroom on the second floor and sat down on the bed.
The bedroom light was ceiling mounted with a hanging chain type on-off switch.
I reached up and I pulled the chain.
And as soon as the room goes dark, I heard footsteps coming up the staircase.
The footsteps were far too light and too quick to be an adult person,
and there were no small children in the house.
I sat silently on the bed listening intensely when the footsteps entered the room.
It was at that point I heard the unmistakable sound of a dog panting.
My aunt did have a dog, but I never saw him climb the stairs before, so I was a bit surprised by this.
As my right hand reached up to turn the light back on, I reached my left hand out to pet the dog.
I was in the process of saying, what are you doing up here?
when the room lit up.
The panting noise stopped immediately,
and there was exactly zero dogs in front of me.
I booked it downstairs
to find my aunt with her one and only pets
sleeping at her feet,
where he had been for the past 20 minutes or so.
Was I temporarily in a parallel universe,
where my aunt's dog did come upstairs,
or was it a ghost dog from a former owner?
I'm really not sure which would be more
bizarre. This is my story as of a few years ago. It was 2017 and I was going to be a father.
She was a lot younger than me and I was going back and forth between Utah and Washington State.
My girlfriend at the time's family was very LDS, and because I have a colorful past, they decided in
case I had a slip up or moved, it would be best if I wasn't on the birth certificate, or that he even
had my name.
When I figured this out, it was crushing to me.
I had always wanted to be a father, and this felt like a piece of me was ripped away.
We eventually split up, but the following years got very strange for me.
I started getting vertigo, and a couple of times it was so bad that I started hallucinating
sounds in the presence of a little boy and a man.
I don't know what to make of that, but I'm not.
telling you it was real. I chalked it up to having vertigo until it happened when I wasn't
having symptoms. Then I remember having this crazy dream of another world that is too bizarre to even
explain. I would have this dream a couple more times. I can remember it quite well, but I do not
know how to explain it. At any rate, things got really weird when I met this other girl
who was borderline psychotic.
And the events I would experience with her were so weird.
One example, I noticed some of my medication had come up missing,
and she was the only person there, so I called the cops and left a statement with them.
Well, we made up, and I allowed her back over for her to do it all over again.
So again, I called the cops.
Well, when I talked to them, they said they had no record.
of me ever calling, let alone a statement.
I suppose this could be anything, but it was just so weird.
The funny thing is, I had just barely met this girl, but I was getting dreams of us in a
different reality and a beautiful relationship developing.
We would eventually drift apart after playing this long, drawn-out, psychotic game.
From here, things would only escalate.
I would text friends or talk to people, and they would be offended.
as if I was in someone else's body doing what I would do and something else would come out of my messages.
This seriously had gotten to the point that I was afraid to talk to anyone.
I'm even afraid of this now in fear that it might come across as something else.
Family has been treating me differently, where before I was one of the go-to guys in my family,
I'm now regarded as the black sheep that no one takes seriously.
Recently, I went to a Reiki therapist, and she pulled out this crystal attached to a chain.
I think they call it muscle.
Something I can't remember.
But I would tell her my question, and she would ask.
If it was no, the crystal would swing left to right, and yes, it would swing forward.
It's amazing how this thing works, and it's totally real, and I suggest it.
Well, one of the questions was, am I in a different dimension?
and it was a profound swing back and forth.
There's no way that she could make it swing like that,
and why would someone do that anyways?
She's a therapist with plenty of clients.
Hi, Raven, this is David.
I thought I would tell you a strange story that happened to me
around the time that my mother gave me her will.
She's getting older, and she just wanted to make sure that I had it
and that I kept it safe.
after I got it, and we went over everything together,
I got home and I put the will,
which was in an old journal under my Bible,
under my coffee table in my den.
Well, a few days went by,
and I got to thinking about something that I wanted to check in the will.
So I go to look for it, and it's not there.
I know that I didn't move it, and I live alone,
so I know no one else has moved it.
I immediately started to freak out because I know how important this is to my mom,
and I'm looking everywhere, in every drawer, under every chair even in the couch cushions,
but I didn't turn up anything.
I went to bed that night so frustrated, and my house was a complete mess.
The next morning I wake up, and as I'm walking through my demolished house, I see it,
sitting there, just like it never disappeared.
under the coffee table, under the Bible.
And as if that wasn't weird enough,
when I went to sleep,
the Bible and everything else was pulled out from under that table
and scattered all over the living room floor.
But now here it was all stacked up,
perfectly with the will back under the table.
To this day, I don't know how it happened,
but I know for whatever reason,
for 24 hours that will disappear.
Sometimes, I think maybe my brother who passed away years earlier came back and wanted to give it a read,
but just couldn't get it back in time before I noticed it was gone.

I've taken trips to St. Cloud
from St. Paul in Minneapolis
at countless times.
And today, myself and my auntie noticed
we somehow teleported to St. Cloud
or got to it faster than usual.
We skipped Montaude.
Monticello, which was the halfway city, and we got to St. Cloud in half the time.
We initially drove from St. Louis Park, which is a border city to Minneapolis.
So I believe we somehow teleported, or glitched the Matrix.
I looked at my gas tank, and it barely moved, so there's some sort of a reality glitch in the Matrix.
The shocker is that we didn't see Monticello, which is the halfway point city, and usually an hour and 20 minutes some drive to get to St. Cloud, and that part of 94 West to St. Cloud doesn't have rush hour traffic.
No traffic delays unless some accident occurs.
So, my auntie and I are shocked at how we got there so crazy fast.
She even asked if I took some other road.
but I told her that only I-94 comes to St. Cloud.
This strangeness happened last week.
It was about 7 a.m. on a weekday morning.
I think it was a Friday, but I'm not sure.
I was on my way to a workout at the local gym
and decided to stop on the way to get a power drink at the local convenience store.
This particular store has been there for years.
Just a small country-type store, which is never really.
busy at 7 a.m.
The parking lot is small, with parking directly in front of the store for only four cars.
I pulled in and parked near a car that was already there.
I left a space in between us as the guy had his driver door open and was looking like he
was ready to get out and head to the store.
I got a good look at this guy as I was walking up the step to go in the store, and as I
walked in, there was the same guy paying for a bunch of items at the register.
I stood there for a second wide-eyed.
I backed up out through the door to look at his car and there was nobody in the driver's seat.
I walked back into the store to see the guy walking out past me with his bag of items he had just bought.
How on earth was he already in there when I know I was ahead of him?
I bought my drink and walked out to see him start his car and drive off.
I didn't say a word to the counter-assistent as I felt a little shaken up.
And I've had this event on my mind all week.
This happened to me back in 2014.
I had just moved back to my home state,
and I was working in an ice cream shop downtown.
I met a girl working in a donut shop across the street.
We can call her Cassie.
Me and my co-worker decided to go out with Cassie one night.
We went to a bar nearby and then came back to my place
because it was within walking distance.
Cassie decided she wanted to log into Facebook
and opened my MacBook to do so.
Surprisingly, she didn't have to log in
because when she put in Facebook,
it pulled up her account, already logged in.
I know a little bit about computers,
but I'm absolutely no hacker.
I'm not capable of being a hacker.
Nor do I have any interest in trying to hack this chick,
Facebook. I assumed that she would know this and be as confused as I was, but these girls did not
know me as well as I'd hoped, and they both stared me down. She accused me of hacking her
Facebook stating that I had been caught red-handed, and they left my place. My co-worker avoided me
and quit soon after the incident, and Cassie never spoke to me again. I never hacked this girl's
Facebook. I've never hacked anything in my life. Why would her account be logged into my MacBook?
It was the strangest experience. I felt so helpless and I will never forget it.
At this time, in this story, I had been delivering newspapers every single night for roughly six years.
I've driven down these same roads countless times. This one night was unusually bright from the moon.
I go down this country road to deliver a few papers, and I use the cul-de-sac to turn around.
My headlights light up this old Victorian-style home.
I've never seen this house before.
I turned off my headlights because I couldn't clearly see the house.
The best way to describe this house is to tell you to look up any Scooby-Doo Victorian home, and there you go.
You could see the house was once white, but weather-worn.
There was a large front porch with a small set of stairs to get to it.
It looked empty.
My boyfriend at the time loved exploring old abandoned homes,
so I made a note of it mentally,
and I physically wrote it down in my route book.
Later on that day, my boyfriend and I excitedly drove back to that house,
but there was no home.
It was gone.
completely vanished.
I knew this was the spot, but I grabbed my route book to see my note, and the note was gone, too.
I have no idea what happened, but I never saw that house again.
Hi, Rabin.
I've recently started listening to your podcast while I'm falling asleep at night.
I only listen to the glitch stories because I'm too much of a chicken to listen to the ghost or paranormal activity stories before I fall asleep.
Last night, I was getting ready for bed as usual, and I turned on a glitch in the Matrix episode, while I tried to fall asleep.
I was about five to ten minutes into the episode when the power turned off in my apartment.
I noticed this because I have a fan in my window, which had obviously turned off.
At first I thought to myself, that's weird.
It's not even windy or storming outside.
Then I got this eerie feeling.
the room was dead silent.
The podcast wasn't playing.
My phone didn't die.
It wasn't even plugged into a charger, so I know the power going out had nothing to do with why the podcast stopped playing.
When I picked up my phone to press play and continue the episode, it was as if I was never even listening to it in the first place.
I couldn't just press play.
I had to go actually search for that episode again.
and it didn't show that I had already listened to the first five to ten minutes.
I thought to myself,
what are the odds that my first Glitch in the Matrix experience
happened while listening to a podcast about a glitch in the Matrix?
I know this is a minor glitch compared to some of the other stories you tell on here,
but I couldn't help but share because of the irony.
I live in Pennsylvania.
We had a guy called Andrew Federman running for Senator,
who had a stroke early on in his campaign.
But he won anyway because Dr. Oz was his competition.
I have a friend named Andrew on Discord who posted a meme about Federman,
and I specifically remember thinking that it was funny how they had the same name.
Also, there were political signs in front yards with Andrew Federman written on them.
Recently, I heard about him going on the Joe Rogan podcast.
Only his name is now John Fetterman.
I swear I'm either going crazy, or this really happens to me.
I have no idea how I could have a memory that drastically far off from what happened.
Because I swear my friend made fun of him for looking like a Neanderthal.
And I thought that my friend seemed pretty caveman like an appearance to be criticizing someone else for it.
How could I have made that up?
I've never had anything like this happen before or since.
This is a short one that I don't expect to be used, but here it goes.
I was eating pizza bagels at my kitchen table, and I left about half on my plate.
I left the house, and when I got home, up in bed, there was the plate of pizza bagels.
I have no recollection of ever bringing any onto my bed, but there they were, with the red sauce on my bed sheets.
I don't know if maybe I brought them up and just forgot, or if someone else in my family did, but what do you think?
I recently discovered your channel, and listening to the stories that you read, make me seem not as crazy as I thought I was.
This is one of many glitches I have experienced, and this one messes with me the most to this day.
I just recently got my car in August of this year.
I bought it from this buy-and-sell place, and one day when I was looking in the glove box, I randomly felt behind it.
I don't know why I did, but I just did.
And I found the last two registration papers, and both of the last two registration papers, and both of the last two,
two owners, had the same first name, middle initial and last name.
And they were born on the same day, but exactly two years apart.
And they were two different people.
When the first person got rid of the car, ironically two years later, the second person
got the same car that I have now.
I mentioned it to one person and I went to check my glove box again, and guess what?
The paper wasn't there.
I looked everywhere and I couldn't find it.
My friend thought that I was crazy, but I swear they were real.
I hope this made sense, and thank you for taking your time to read it.
So that was this week's collection of Glitch in the Matrix Stories on the As The Raven Dreams podcast.
