I think my husband actually experienced a reality shift or a matrix glitch because of some of the things he's mentioned to me lately about small things. He actually told me about the actual glitch that he knows happened, but he says that after that there have been things that are weird to him that he's been noticing. We're both pretty big into weird things like,
Starting point is 00:01:36 like glitches in the Matrix and paranormal things, but he never expected to experience one of his own. I guess I should start with the actual glitch that my husband experienced. He and my son were out picking up food from the grocery store for dinner, which is not something he normally has to do, nor does he volunteer to do it. However, on that specific day, he had actually mentioned that he wanted to go to the store.
Starting point is 00:02:06 and my son wanted to go with him, so they went out together. Fine by me, one less thing I have to do in the end. He told me that, while they were there, they were walking around, grabbing things, and they went down the aisle with the condiments. He had grabbed a bottle of mustard, because we were out, and then moved on to the next aisle to get something, when my son randomly remembered that we were also out of ketchup,
Starting point is 00:02:34 because he had used the last of it, the day before on his spaghetti. I know that's weird. Don't ask. I'm not going to question him on why he puts ketchup on spaghetti. Anyways, my husband says that he'll go grab it and tells my son to stay there since it was only an aisle away. He headed over to get it,
Starting point is 00:02:56 and he said that it wasn't there, which made no sense since it was the same aisle that they had just gone down. He then looked up, and he noticed that he was actually. actually in the bread aisle, about two aisles down the store. He mentioned that he had somehow literally walked one aisle over, but then ended up three aisles away from where he started. He even verified this by walking back to where the condiments were
Starting point is 00:03:24 and going one more aisle and making sure that our son was still standing there, and he was. Obviously this makes no sense, and he says that it felt like he had almost somehow, teleported to the bread aisle. But he moved on, grabbed the ketchup, and then finished shopping, and was just super excited to tell me
Starting point is 00:03:45 about what he experienced. Well, that's not where the weirdness ends. He said that now there are strange little things that are different that he's struggling to accept. The first thing he mentioned was my laptop. I do work as a graphic designer, and I work for a small company that does visual designs for larger corporations.
Starting point is 00:04:08 Because of COVID, my position is now a fully remote one, and I have a room dedicated to being my office, which is a room that the other two typically don't go into. The other day, I was working on something, and my husband had to come in to tell me something else, and as soon as he walked up to my desk, he paused, and started staring at my work computer. I asked him what was going on,
Starting point is 00:04:34 on and he asked me where my MacBook was. I have literally never used a Mac. I don't personally like the operating system on Apple Computers and have always had a standard Windows-based laptop. I told him this and he responded with, No, you had a MacBook Pro. I remember you and me sitting down to look at what you could order through your work and we chose a really beefy Mac because that's what they were.
Starting point is 00:05:04 wanted you to have. I recall the conversation you had with your boss where they told you the whole team was moving to Apple computers and you were upset about it. I told him that that had never happened, and I had no idea what he was talking about. We had a small argument about it, nothing too severe, just a disagreement, and we moved on. One of the other events that happened was when we went to order pizza last weekend. My husband was asking what we wanted, and my son said that he wanted pepperoni. My husband immediately stopped and just stared at him like he had grown a third arm or something.
Starting point is 00:05:47 He then started going on about how much my son hated pepperoni, and said that he always asked for a cheese pizza, extra cheese, add chicken. My son has no memory of ever asking for this, and as far back as I can remember, my son has always loved pepperoni. Beroni. Obviously, this was another thing that upset my husband, but we got our pizza and we moved on. I actually had a conversation with him about all this, and he told me that there are other small things that have been eating away at him that have changed. Things like the neighbor's cars are different from what he remembers, and one of the neighbors seems to live in a different house
Starting point is 00:06:28 than what he remembered. He also mentioned that he was confused that I had eaten clams the other day, since he swears I was allergic to shellfish. There were a few other things about our son and about our home that he said felt different. I tried to talk to him about them, but I can tell that it's really upsetting him. And he then mentioned that he thinks he's either losing it, or he has shifted to a different existence. Obviously, nothing seems out of place for me, other than his behavior and how he's feeling and acting about things.
Starting point is 00:07:05 For the record, he has no mental health issues. He doesn't use drugs or drink, and he hasn't suffered any injuries. And all of these things just started happening after he had that weird event at the grocery store. It's something else here now.
Starting point is 00:07:31 Something new. From, exclusively on Paramount Plus, it's the series Stephen King calls Scary as Hell. Everything here is impossible, but it's also real. Sci-Fi Vision calls it the best show streaming right now. We're running out of time and we still don't know the rules.
Starting point is 00:07:48 Don't miss what the movie blog calls something you need to watch. Saving those children is how we all go home. From Binge All Episodes exclusively on Paramount Plus. This happened sometime in either 1989 or 1990. When I was about 15 years old, give or take a year. In a small Midwestern town. I was riding the bus home from school. A few minutes before arriving at my house,
Starting point is 00:08:18 I reached into my pocket to discover that I didn't have my house key. I could picture where it was in my room because I always put it in the same place. I didn't really have any friends on the bus, so I didn't say anything about it to anyone. I just hoped that a family was home and could let me in, but I knew that my dad wouldn't be home yet, and I was, pretty sure both my mom and older sister were at their part-time jobs that afternoon. Sure enough, when the bus dropped me off, I noticed that my sister's car wasn't in the driveway. The garage door was closed, so I couldn't tell if my mom was home.
Starting point is 00:08:59 Our house had five exterior doors. There was one in the front, south, one on the east, one in the west, one going into the garage, not counting the big door for the cars, and one going to the breezeway between the house and the garage. Unless my mom was home and met me at the front door, I would always use the breezeway door. My mom didn't greet me, so I walked to the breezeway door and rang the doorbell, hoping someone was home. But there was no answer. I pounded on the door for a bit on the off chance that the doorbell had stopped working or otherwise couldn't be heard, but no one came. I figured all of the doors in the house,
Starting point is 00:09:42 this one was the most likely to be accidentally left unlocked, because it was the one that was used to let the dog out multiple times a day. There was a window in the door, so for security reasons, the lock required a key on both sides. That is, even on the inside, you needed a key to operate the lock. It wasn't just a lever that you could turn. Since the door was used frequently, my parents kept a key in the breezeway, hidden a few feet from the door.
Starting point is 00:10:13 I spent several minutes ringing the doorbell, pounding on the door, grabbing the knob, turning it both left and right and pushing on the door, much longer than any sane person should. I kept at it for so long in case my mom was home, but had the vacuum or some other loud appliance running and just hadn't heard me. I finally gave up. No one was home to answer the door. and I had confirmed that the door wasn't accidentally left unlocked. I walked to a neighbor's house two doors down. They were good family friends, so I knew I could stay there, but there was no answer at their door.
Starting point is 00:10:51 Then I went to a house just across the street from mine and knocked on their door. I knew the kids who lived there and hung out with them occasionally, although not very much since they were a few years younger than me. Their mom answered, and she said that the boys had gone down to the library. I thought, okay, the library is just a few blocks away, and it would be a safe place for me to hang out until my family got home. But first, I figured I would do a full methodical check of all the doors at my house, just to make sure that none of them had been left unlocked. I walked back across the street and went to the front door of my house. It was locked, as I expected.
Starting point is 00:11:34 Not that it would have helped had it been unlocked, because it led to a porch that had another locked door between it and the rest of the house. I walked around the east side of the house and tried the east porch door. Same situation. It was locked, and again, even if I had gotten in, I wouldn't be able to get very far, because it also had another locked door between the porch and the house. I proceeded to the garage. The utility door into the garage also had a way. window, because it was so sunny out and no lights were on in the garage, I couldn't see into the
Starting point is 00:12:11 window very well to see if there was a car in the garage. I pressed my face against the glass, and I used my hands to block as much sunlight as I could. From what I could see, it looked like the garage was empty, but I couldn't tell for certain. Anyway, that door was locked too. At this point, the most sane thing for me to do would have been to go around to the west side of the house and check the one door that I hadn't tried yet. But for some strange reason, I felt compelled to try the breezeway door again.
Starting point is 00:12:48 I was overcome with two thoughts simultaneously. The first thought was, this is stupid. I just spent five minutes pounding on that door, turning and twisting the doorknob and pushing on that door to the point that I was worried I would break it. And the second thought was, I'm a scientific guy,
Starting point is 00:13:07 so I'm going to approach this methodically and try every door, completely ignoring my previous attempt. It's hard to describe the strange feeling I had as I walked over to the breezeway door. It was a strange feeling of being pulled back to that door. I felt that it wasn't right, that it made no sense. and why am I even bothering to check it, but something kept pushing me toward it. I walked up to the door, turned the knob, and gave it a push,
Starting point is 00:13:40 and the door opened easily. I walked inside, turned around to inspect the inside of the lock, and discovered that the key was kept in the room, had been inserted into the door and had been turned, unlocking it. I looked into the garage, no cars, so neither parent was home. My sister's car was still not in the driveway either. I was the only one home.
Starting point is 00:14:07 Even when I briefly visited the two neighboring houses, I was never out of sight of my house. So I would have seen anyone coming or going, in a car or on foot, but I saw no one. I haven't mentioned this to very many people. Years later, a skeptic once laughed at the story. story and told me it had to be a neighborhood kid playing a joke on me, but that explanation doesn't make any sense to me.
Starting point is 00:14:36 First, who would do it? No one ever confessed to it. No one even knew that I had forgotten my key that day. Heck, I didn't even know I had forgotten my key until just a few minutes before the bus pulled up to my house. If someone was playing a joke, they would have had to have had a key to the house, but also know where the key was hidden in the breezeway so they could insert it into the lock where I found it. And they would have had to have gotten to the house, or at least be in the house, and had left
Starting point is 00:15:09 without me seeing them, despite me being with an eyesight of the house the entire time. And on top of all this, they would have had to know to pull this trick on the one and only day that I ever forgot my key, that I didn't even know I had forgotten until just before. for this event. I have no idea how that door got unlocked. A glitch, a helpful spirit, or some other paranormal phenomenon. Sorry for the big stupid lead-up, but I promise it's relevant. I work at a distribution center slash packing plant for an advertising company.
Starting point is 00:15:59 Basically, it means that I stand at a table and pack boxes full of paper all day, printing the shipping labels and stuff like that. It's a decent job and I like my coworkers, so it's not really as boring as it sounds. The warehouse is about 2,000 feet square and is more or less a giant cinder block rectangle. There are very few windows. There's an office-type area along the eastern side. It contains the break room, the unisex bathroom, and a cubicle for our IT guy, but nothing. else. And the stacks where we park the forklift and pallet jacks are on the west side.
Starting point is 00:16:41 The stacks are all either short enough to see over or empty enough to see through. The rest of the warehouse floor is visible open space with the receiving bay, garage where the FedEx trucks come in, on the north end, and my station on the south end. I have five co-workers. I'll call them Mary, Josh, Matt, Alex, and Joe. Mary works at the station next to me, building the kits and packing the boxes. Josh and Matt work in the stacks, scanning out the materials for Mary and I to pack, and Alex is the aforementioned IT guy. Joe's the floor manager and my direct boss. One of the perks of my job is that, since the work is kind of mindless and nobody really talks to me, they're all older than me by a significant amount,
Starting point is 00:17:32 I get to listen to music while I work. I have kind of irritating and loud taste, so I wear a pair of earbuds to listen. Also because Joe keeps sports talk radio on all day on the floor, but whatever. A couple of weeks ago, I was at my station standing, facing south. I was pre-building some boxes for a packing order we were going to have coming in later that week. So I had my music up a little louder than usual to cover up.
Starting point is 00:18:02 the sound of the tape gun. I could see Mary out of the corner of my eye working on something at the next station. And whenever I lifted my head, I could see both Josh and Matt in the stacks with their scanner guns and carts. Alex was in his office,
Starting point is 00:18:20 as far as I knew, and I couldn't see Joe. I built another stack of ten or so boxes, took me maybe six or seven minutes, before leaving to use the bathroom. I went into the little office space and noticed that Alex wasn't there, but wasn't really focused on it. I entered the bathroom, did my thing, and left. When I got out of the bathroom, Alex was still gone.
Starting point is 00:18:46 Didn't think much of it. I knew he couldn't be in the bathroom since I would have seen him come in, but I guess I assumed he had gone out onto the floor to ask some questions or something. In the office space where the bathroom is, is so small that, you can see all of it from the entrance, so he couldn't have been in there without me seeing. I walked out of the office back to my station and picked up my stuff to get back to work
Starting point is 00:19:12 when I noticed that Mary was also gone, along with her water bottle and the roll of label stickers that she had been using. I looked around towards the stacks for Matt and Josh, they're both over six feet tall and incredibly easily visible normally, but I couldn't see them or their carts. I took off my earbuds, and I noticed that the warehouse was completely silent. No delivery trucks idling in the receiving bay.
Starting point is 00:19:40 No rumble of cartwheels or footsteps on the concrete. Even my boss's radio was turned off. I left my station and walked across the floor. The motion-activated lights turned back on as I went, trying to look closer into the stacks to see if they were just out of view, but like I said, the warehouse isn't that. big and they just weren't there. I never saw Mary Alex or Joe either, nor any of their stuff.
Starting point is 00:20:12 The scanner guns or carts or label stickers, it was like I had just imagined them all being at work today. I left the stacks and checked out the receiving bay. Nothing. And none of the garage doors were open. Break room? Also nothing. It was around 3 p.m.
Starting point is 00:20:31 Everyone eats at around noon, and we all clock out at four, so they hadn't all somehow gone to lunch without me noticing. By this point, I had done a complete loop of the entire warehouse, outright calling out for people as I went, and all of my co-workers just seemed to have fallen off the face of the earth. Obviously, I was creeped out, but I'd have been leaving in less than an hour anyways, so I just kind of got back to work.
Starting point is 00:20:59 I put my music back on and went back to building boxes. I turned my music up loud just to have the noise. It felt like the sound of my tape gun was the only thing on the planet. I kept my eyes on my watch and eventually, after around 25 minutes, I finally noticed movement in the corner of my eye, and I looked up to see Mary at her station, working on her label stickers like she had never left. I turned to face the stacks.
Starting point is 00:21:29 and I saw Matt and Josh with their carts, right where they were before I had gone into the office. Nobody looked like they had spent the last half-hour working, but they also didn't look like they had actually gone anywhere either. I didn't say anything about it, just spent the last dregs of my shift with a weird feeling at the back of my neck. Eventually, four o'clock rolled around and I clocked out and left. I told all this to my stepdad on the way home. He works at the corporate office of the ad agency that owns my warehouse, a couple of streets down, and he said he couldn't think of any reason for anyone to just up and leave like that.
Starting point is 00:22:12 It hasn't happened since, at work or otherwise. I do keep my music volume a little lower while I work now, though. I can't help but wonder if something happened, and I just couldn't. Hear it. This happened last week. I intended to post about it immediately, but I'm glad I didn't since I had another glitch later the same day. It was around 8 a.m. on Thursday, and I was returning home from a walk with my dogs before starting work for the day. As I approached the house, I saw a dime, 10 cents, in the part of the driveway that crosses the sidewalk.
Starting point is 00:23:02 It was tails side up, the torch, with branches on either side, I hadn't seen it on the way out. I don't usually bother to pick up anything less than a quarter, but it looked weird. Either like it was scratched or maybe had some tiny dewdrops on it, so I bent down and picked it up to see. The dime had four deep scratches running diagonally, most of the way across the reverse tail side, almost like furrows. It was dated 1986 on the front of the end.
Starting point is 00:23:35 slash head's side. I put it in my pocket and went inside and upstairs to my bedroom to get ready for work. I looked at the dime again, wondering why I bothered to pick it up, and I placed it on top of my dresser, where I keep my watch, my rings, and a few other items, but no coins. Deeply furrowed tails side up. I was working from home that day, so I went about my work from home routine as usual. Shortly after lunch, around 2 p.m., I went to my bedroom to take off my watch and ring, which were randomly bothering me. I saw the dime with the front slash head side up, which was weird because I definitely left it tailside up with the scratches visible.
Starting point is 00:24:24 I specifically didn't want it to be tail-side down because I didn't want the ridges of the furrows scratching my dresser. I picked it up, flipped it over, and the tailside was a normal dime. No scratches. I checked, and the front side was still 1986. The scratches were literally the only reason I picked this dime up in the first place. I wasn't alone in the house, my wife and dogs were there, but I hadn't mentioned the dime and my wife isn't in the habit of touching stuff on my dresser. I wasn't on any substance, I wasn't sick, and it was otherwise a totally normal weekday.
Starting point is 00:25:06 The dime just seemed to heal itself sometime between 8.30 a.m. and 2 p.m. I did discuss the dime with my wife, and she confirmed that she wasn't anywhere near my dresser, which is in my closet. And just to add at the end here, see two glitches in a single day, part two the teleporting dog for the event, seemingly unrelated to the dime, that occurred about an hour later, which will be immediately after this eight-second sound effect that I play in between my stories. When I was 16, I took an SAT prep class to improve my score and get into a good college. The class was pretty boring, but I met the most interesting girl in the class.
Starting point is 00:26:03 She was thin, fairly short, with light brown hair and green eyes. She always wore a green headband, which I thought was cute. Her name was Connie. We hit it off immediately and spent most of the class whispering to each other side by side at our desks. I spent about three weeks sitting next to her talking during the class. When the class was over, we exchanged I.M. handles so that we could keep in touch. this was in the early 2000s. About a year passed, and we continued talking online.
Starting point is 00:26:42 We got to know each other pretty well, but we lived on completely different sides of the city, and it was quite a drive to visit each other. So, being the young teens that we were, we never actually got together. Eventually, I worked up the courage to ask her out for dinner. I set up a date at a restaurant located between the both of us, so that she wouldn't have to drive too far. The time for our date rolled around, and I headed to the restaurant to meet her.
Starting point is 00:27:13 I walked in and I saw her sitting in a booth with two older individuals at the far side of the establishment. She looked exactly like she did in class. Thin, light brown hair, green eyes, and she was wearing her signature green headband. I approached her and said hello. I gave her a hug and sat down next to her. were in the booth. I assumed these two older individuals across from us were her parents.
Starting point is 00:27:40 Odd, I thought, but maybe they were there to chaperone. I could immediately tell that something was wrong. The two older individuals looked very confused, surprised and almost bewildered. The look on Connie's face was also one of perplexity. Eventually, she said, Who are you? I was shocked. I said, uh, I'm Jason. Remember? We set up a date for tonight.
Starting point is 00:28:11 I assume these are your parents. It's very nice to meet you. And I reached out my hand to shake her parents' hands. They didn't return my handshake. Instead, they simply looked at their daughter and said, Oh, did you forget to tell us this, Sarah? Sarah, I said, you told me your name. was Connie. She looked absolutely puzzled and said, I'm sorry, you must have me confused with
Starting point is 00:28:39 someone else. Oh, uh, my mistake, I replied, then scratched my head and headed out of the restaurant to my car. I was embarrassed. Maybe she just didn't want to go out with me, I thought. She could have at least just said no instead of leading me on this charade. Defeated and human I decided to just head home. When I opened my car, I heard a voice behind me say, Hey, Jason. I turned around. It was a tall, light, blonde-haired woman with a large round face and blue eyes. Uh, do I know you? I said to her.
Starting point is 00:29:21 It's me, Connie. We had a date planned, remember? Where are you going? She said. We then went inside and had dinner. she was definitely Connie. She remembered all of our previous conversations over the past year, but she looked nothing like the girl that I met in class. When I asked her why she stopped wearing the green headband,
Starting point is 00:29:45 she had no recollection of ever wearing or even owning that type of headband. I really can't explain this. I was reminded of this today, as it happened nine years ago, on the 23rd of August 2013. The day is the birthday of one of my exes, an ex-DOM play partner to be specific. It was a weekday. I had arranged to meet her after work
Starting point is 00:30:23 in a restaurant slash pub in East London for a drink and food and to give her a little mark of my respect, a sterling silver claw ring. It was in a presentation box, probably three by three by two inches, and in a gift bag with a card. I had put it in my boot, because East London, and I drove to the pub. I went to get it out of the boot, and there was the bag, but no box or card.
Starting point is 00:30:54 Neither should have fallen out. The boot was quite small, and the bag was still upright, supported by the chassis on one side, and a picnic blanket against it. Other than the blanket and a few small bits and pieces, the boot was mostly empty. I pulled out the blanket and searched every corner, every nook and cranny. I swear I searched that boot several times, shook the blanket, I even turned the empty bag upside down. The box was too big to just be overlooked in a corner, and the card was large, white, and oblong, which would have stood out against the dark great boot upholstery.
Starting point is 00:31:36 You have to realize that I had hinted that I had something pretty damn special, and this was not just an embarrassment. This was a major relationship disaster. I searched every inch of the car and spent so long with it. I was late for our meeting, which ticked her off to begin with. The evening was a bit of a disaster. The pub was noisy and crowded. She didn't get the promised present, not even a card. She didn't like the food, and, long story short,
Starting point is 00:32:09 she hinted that she could have spent the evening with someone who actually gave her some respect. We pretty much split up that night. I went home a lot earlier than expected, and I didn't look in the boot until the next day. There was the picnic blanket where I had thrown it in the car, and there, literally sitting on top of the blanket, was a card and a presentation box. I tore up the card and kept the claw ring, which I gave to another friend a few months later. I posted this on another subreddit, and it got some attention and brought up a lot of discussion.
Starting point is 00:32:55 So I was sent here. This took place about a year ago. I've had a weird one that stuck with me for a while. I don't really know how to make sense of it, but I honestly have accepted that I'm not going to be able to figure it out. It was a normal day at home, on my day off. I had just bought my house like three months ago, and was still getting used to it. I sat down on my sectional in my living room watching TV. I had just made some clam chowder, literally my favorite,
Starting point is 00:33:27 and I had set it in front of me while I put on South Park since it's my comfort show, and this was probably around noon. It was bright out, and the house was lit up through the blinds. this is where I get goosebumps. I cannot, for the life of me, remember what happened next. It was 7.42 p.m. It was like a snap of someone's fingers and the world moved on without me. South Park was still on, definitely not near the episode that I started on, which was the episode about Yelpers.
Starting point is 00:34:05 And my food was still untouched where I left it. I just wasn't sitting up anymore. I was laying on the couch in front of my fireplace. I never lay there. I usually use it to sit and tie my shoes before I head out. I can't really explain the feeling, but I would say that there was an immense raw sense of fear that came over me because I couldn't figure out where the time went or what happened.
Starting point is 00:34:34 There were no pieces to put together. Besides that, I just felt kind of sick. and out of body, which I kind of attributed to how worked up I got. It never happened to me before, has not happened since. There's no history of anything like that in the family. I truly had a loss for one. To make myself feel better, I just reheated the clam chowder and ate it, though. Some answers to things that were asked.
Starting point is 00:35:04 I installed a carbon monoxide detector shortly after I bought the house, so it wasn't that. When I woke up, besides the general feeling I had, there were marks on my foot, like it was tied up in a wire thread. But the marks didn't last to the next day. There is no history of epilepsy or blackouts in my family. After this, I experienced shivers in my spine, not painful, but at random times it felt like the center of my spine would get cold. Hence, it would shoot up and down the length of my back. It would give my whole body goosebumps. This still happens to me now, but nowhere near as often as when this happened.
Starting point is 00:35:45 I had missed calls and texts, but I didn't text or call anyone while I was missing. That couch is super uncomfortable. I hate it. It's just to put things on. I have an awesome sectional that I can't get enough of. No idea why I would randomly wake up on the couch. I would never do it to begin with, and I wouldn't even let a puppy sleep on it. And also, feel free to ask anything else.
Starting point is 00:36:23 My story happened when I was around 16 years old. I'm 32 now. It was a long time ago, but I still remember it like it was yesterday. One day, early in the morning, before getting up for school, I wake up to a loud sound from a horse. I don't know how to say it in English, but you know the sound that horses do. It was very loud and close, loud enough to wake me up. Since it was the first time that I was hearing it, I didn't think too much of it, and thought maybe I was just dreaming.
Starting point is 00:37:00 Then, during the course of the day, when I was at school in the middle of class, I heard it again. And since I live in a city and it's not common to hear horses, This time I thought it was strange, but I still didn't give a second thought to it. The next morning, I wake up again to the same horse noise. This time I asked my mom, and my sister, if they also woke up to this annoying horse sound, and they both looked at me as if they didn't know what I was talking about, and they laughed it off. So I thought maybe they were sleeping soundly and just didn't hear it.
Starting point is 00:37:40 Like the day before, I get to school and there is the same sound. But this time I hear it several times during the day. I start to think, this isn't normal, so I ask my friends, not knowing at this point that I was the only one hearing it, what the hell all the horse sounds were all day? Was there some kind of event going on that I didn't know about? And, just like my sister and mother, They look at me like, what are you talking about?
Starting point is 00:38:14 What horse sounds? And I ask, you guys don't hear it? I started to freak out a little. And once I got home, I talked to my mother and tell her that I've been hearing horse sounds all day, but I think it was just me. And she says, what do you mean it's just you? I say, well, you and my sister didn't hear it this morning, and also my friends don't hear it at school, despite it being so loud and clear. I'm starting to get scared that I'm going crazy.
Starting point is 00:38:46 Am I just starting to hear voices in my head? Tears start coming down my face as I'm panicking and in fear that I am going crazy. My mother hugs and reassures me that I'm not crazy and tells me to tell her the next time I hear it. It didn't take too long for me to hear it again, so I run to my mom screaming. Now, Mom, I heard it just now.
Starting point is 00:39:10 Did you hear it too? My mom didn't want to scare me, so she said yes that she had also heard it. But my mother is not a good liar. And as soon as I saw her face, I knew that she was lying. She started to get worried but didn't want to scare me, but I could see it on her face. She didn't know what to do or say, and all I could see was that worry. This went on for almost a week. And every time I heard the sound, I would start crying and cover my ears in a panic.
Starting point is 00:39:45 And then, after a week, it stopped. Just like that. Sixteen years later, and I've never heard it again. I had never heard it before this incident, and I haven't heard it after. So, to this day, I don't know what it was. And I actually feel uneasy every time I hear or see a horse. I have another glitch story if you would like to use it. One from 2006 that I try not to think about,
Starting point is 00:40:27 because of the serious impact it has had on my life ever since. It's heavy, so you may want to include a trigger warning. Here you are. For backstory, I was raised from birth by my grandparents. My grandmother and I were exceptionally close. While in college, I was in a bad car accident caused by some high. high school girls skipping school as I was going to work, and I ended up having to quit college, file bankruptcy, and enlist in the military as a direct result.
Starting point is 00:41:02 After the military, I returned home, became a cop, an EMT, married, had kids, divorced, and then finally got to return to college to finish my degree. I was a single parent to a three- and five-year-old, so I moved home to my grandparents to finish those last several semesters. My grandparents also raised my cousin, who at that time was 16 and in high school. His mom, my aunt, but more like a big sister since we grew up together, and she was only eight years older than me,
Starting point is 00:41:37 still lived in Iowa, where we had lived while I was growing up. We're originally from Illinois, and I had made that 468-mile trip hundreds of times over 20 years at that point. First, as a kid passenger, and then as a driver myself. In 2006, my college spring break and my cousin's high school spring break started the same day. So, when my grandmother asked me a month ahead of time to take my cousin to Iowa to see his mom,
Starting point is 00:42:10 I said sure. The kids and I could use the week as a vacation and visit my old high school friends, too. The Saturday before we left, I had an easy A-GPA-helping single-day advanced cardiac CPR class to renew my certification, which I kept current since I had been an EMT and first responder. These are important points to remember. Now, on to the trip and the life-changing glitch. We were scheduled to leave on Friday, March 10, 2006. That morning arrived, and I was not packed for myself nor my kids. My student aid check had just deposited that morning, and I also got an unexpected child support check.
Starting point is 00:42:58 My ex didn't really like paying, and I'd only received it as a bond invasion on my ex's arrest a month earlier. So between the kids, last-minute packing, checking the bank to make sure the money was there for the trip, a 16-year-old hovering asking if we could leave yet, it was chaotic and an unusually disorganized morning. I actually had to turn around at the front door, go back to the living room, and kiss my grandmother on the cheek goodbye to tell her I love her. I drove the 468 miles,
Starting point is 00:43:33 seven trip with a three, five, and sixteen-year-old with no problem. However, those days in Iowa left me feeling like I needed to go back home. My aunt and I went to Omaha, shopping. I visited high school friends. I took my young kids around my old haunts, but I was nagged heavily the whole time. Finally, I decided to cut the trip short and return home early.
Starting point is 00:44:02 My cousin was returning Sunday with his mom who was coming to Illinois for a visit when her other kids started their spring break, so it wasn't a big deal to pack my kids and I up to return on Tuesday. Until my grandmother asked on the phone, did you get that purse like I wanted? Unable to let her down,
Starting point is 00:44:23 my aunt and I went Tuesday back to Omaha to find my grandmother a new purse. Mission accomplished. We left on Wednesday, March 15th, 2006, to return home. The date of this glitch is permanently etched into my memory. several hours into the trip on the straight two-lane highway I'd driven countless times before with my three-and-five-year-olds as my only company driving for the seven-hour trip back home to Illinois I was breaking the monotony talking to a friend on my cell phone
Starting point is 00:44:56 I never made a turn I never strayed from the highway in any capacity yet I suddenly realized I didn't know where I was nothing looked familiar I really got jolted to realize the highway sign showed a different highway instead of the one I traveled for the majority of my life. So I pulled over and I asked the gas station attendant who clearly thought I'd lost my marbles where we were. Somehow, without turning, I went from driving east in Iowa to driving south in the middle of Missouri. I bought a map, called my grandparents, as my grandfather was a retired over-the-road truck driver, and started telling them with shock and disbelief that, while driving my way home,
Starting point is 00:45:46 I'm at a place that I should be hours away from. That seven-hour drive took 13 and a half hours alone, shocked with a three-and-five-year-old getting more and more grouchy in their car seats, and me navigating unfamiliar roads, via old school Atlas maps. By the time I got to a town 45 minutes from home, where a friend lived, at 1 a.m., I couldn't safely go any further and stayed the night with her and her kids.
Starting point is 00:46:18 The next day I was slow, tired, still pondering how I ended up so far off course, and in no hurry, oddly enough, to get home. I talked to my grandmother several times that morning, And she was suddenly anxious for my return. Hurry up. I need your help with the fish tank, and I'm anxious for my new purse, she said. A short time later, I was on my way home again and leaving the town my friend lives in. I called home to let them know I would be there in 45 minutes or so,
Starting point is 00:46:51 and that I would need help with the kids and the unloading. My grandfather answered, and he never answered the phone. He was clearly shaken. telling me my grandmother was really sick, that paramedics were working on her, that she fell in the kitchen. I asked if he had called anyone else, and he said no. I said that I would, and that I would meet them at the hospital after stopping to pick up my mom on the way. The hospital was another hour away from where I was at that moment. My mom and I beat the ambulance there by half an hour.
Starting point is 00:47:28 The paramedics kept pulling over because they kept losing my grandmother, and had to keep shocking her. She'd had a massive heart attack, and my grandfather, with COPD and diminished lung capacity, had to do CPR, having never done it before, via 911 instructions over the phone, before giving up and putting his oxygen on her while waiting for the paramedics to arrive from 15 miles away.
Starting point is 00:47:57 Ultimately, she died the next day, March 17, 2006. from brain damage from the lack of oxygen. Had I been home, which I would have been had I not glitched into Missouri, I could have saved her. I would have done the CPR effectively and with much stronger lung capacity. I had just renewed my advanced cardiac CPR certification days before leaving on the trip. To this day, I can't figure out how I ended up in Missouri
Starting point is 00:48:30 or why the glitch would happen in such a way to prevent me from saving my beloved grandmother's life. Those three days in 2006, March 15th, the glitch, March 16th, heart attack, and March 17th death, are three of the most hated days of my life. The fourth is April 25th, 2023, with another much smaller but no less impactful glitch,
Starting point is 00:48:57 but that's another story. So I've been lurking here for a while, and I decided I would post something that happened to me about a year ago. I think you guys might find it interesting. I don't understand what the hell happened at all, and still to this day I cannot shake it. I was in the garage one night about a year ago. Now, my garage connects to the house through a door that I usually keep open, as I tend to go in and out all night working on things. From the garage, you can, from close to the door, see straight up to the back door of the house.
Starting point is 00:49:48 It's a small townhouse, and is basically a straight line. So, I was working on the desk in the garage. The TV was off as I was close to finishing up for the night and going to bed. As I was looking at my projects on the desk, I heard noise from the kitchen. I'm pretty used to the cat jumping through plastic bags and thought nothing of it for a second. I looked over at a box and the cat was sitting on top of it fast asleep. It was at that moment my dog starts barking from the lounge room, which is just beyond the doorway to the garage.
Starting point is 00:50:28 So, thinking not much of it, he barks randomly all the time, if something falls off the bench, etc. I went towards the garage door. As I approached the doorway, the dog was barking much louder. I hear what I can only describe as loud, heavy footsteps, start running from the kitchen across the tiles toward the garage. And, I mean, I can hear it clear as day. My first thought of this is it's a threat, so I put my hands up ready to throw a punch at whoever comes through the door.
Starting point is 00:51:03 And it just stops. Nothing. The dog is still barking, but nothing. I waited a few seconds and thought, Oh, hell, he's waiting for me. So I grab a piece of pipe and went to the doorway carefully, ready for some robber to jump at me. But it's nothing. There's no one there.
Starting point is 00:51:24 The dog's watching me like nothing happened. It took me only a few minutes to realize that the house was locked up, and only myself and my fiancé, who was in bed, upstairs were there. As I went over it in my head, I realized something. Important detail to note, my family has very heavy footsteps, like annoyingly so. If I'm upstairs, I have to walk carefully as I'm basically thumping across the floor with my heel, usually. The footsteps sounded exactly like mine. The heavyweight heel like running sounded exactly like mine.
Starting point is 00:52:04 I even ran from the kitchen to the garage again a few days later to see if it sounded the same. A year later, I can't shake it. Something or someone mimicked me, or it was me. I know my own footsteps, and they were 100% mine, but I sure as hell don't get it. This glitch happened last week, about 3 p.m. on Thursday. I was working in my home office, which is near the downstairs door, where we let the dogs out into the backyard. The backyard is a well-built, well-maintained six-foot privacy fence all the way around. It has vertical planks, so there's nowhere to get an easy foothold for climbing.
Starting point is 00:52:58 Our front yard is also fenced, and the neighbors on either side and behind us also have fenced yards. so if you were to leap over our six-foot fence in any direction, you would be in another fenced yard. Neither of our medium-sized dogs, six years and ten years, have ever jumped the fence or anything else, nor are there any gaps that even a tiny dog could squeeze under or get through. My wife took the dogs out to the backyard for their usual mid-afternoon break. It was a nice day, so she stayed outside with them. She came in to tell me something real quick, but she kept the back door open the whole time, and was essentially standing in the doorway, looking at me to talk.
Starting point is 00:53:48 She couldn't have been looking into the house for more than 30 seconds. That's being generous. I think it was more like 15 seconds. And then turned back outside. I hear her calling for our six-year-old dog in a couple. confused manner, and then she yelled out to me, he's not in the yard. I ran out back and he wasn't there. I opened the gate and ran into the front yard, out the front gate, and into the street.
Starting point is 00:54:16 And I saw him two houses up the street, sniffing a tree in a neighbor's front yard, about 210 feet or 64 meters, from our backyard. He looked up at me and had to have. happily trotted back when I called, but I have no idea how he crossed two fences and got two houses up in such a short amount of time. Being generous, only a couple of minutes elapsed between my wife coming in to say something and me seeing my dog in my neighbor's yard. When we go for walks, it can take us forever to just go beyond our next door neighbor's house, because of all the interesting smells in our front yard and the neighbor's yard.
Starting point is 00:55:04 My wife and I checked every part of the fence to see if the dogs dug a hole or if a plank was missing, but the fence was secure, as always. So, yeah, it really seems like my dog teleported from our backyard to our neighbor's front yard, over two fences, and 210 feet away. Between that and the scratched dime that fixed itself, earlier in the day. I don't know what to make of Thursday, January 12th. I have trees and shrubs in my front yard, and to ensure that they get adequate water, I have one of those drip systems made out of that black plastic hosing, and smaller tubes slash bubblers that lead to each
Starting point is 00:55:58 tree well. There are about ten trees and five shrubs that receive water this way. The other day I noticed that the lemon tree was looking dry, so I assumed the bubbler might have been clogged. It happens due to the alkaline in the groundwater. I went over to clean it, but I couldn't see the bubbler in the tree well.
Starting point is 00:56:21 I dug around a little, and I still couldn't find it. I didn't notice until then that there was no water tubing that led from the large hose to the lemon tree either. The tubing and the bubbler were both gone.
Starting point is 00:56:36 so the tree wasn't getting any water. This doesn't make sense for a couple of reasons. I live in a very hot, dry climate, and there's no way the lemon tree would have lived without this source of water. The lemon tree is a year old. It wasn't planted recently and only started showing signs of dehydration. The water tubes attached to the main hose by puncturing it and using a pointed attachment to divert water.
Starting point is 00:57:06 If the water tube and bubbler were somehow yanked out of the main hose, there would still be a hole in the main hose. And when I turned the faucet on, water would shoot out of said hole. That didn't happen. There was no hole. I was so confused about what happens to the Lemon Tree's water attachment, that I went around the whole yard examining the main hose for any attachments that didn't appear to lead anywhere. just in case the whole thing somehow got buried in the yard or tree well. I literally traced every single attachment on that hose to its respective tree. There were no extra attachments, and there were no empty holes.
Starting point is 00:57:49 The way it looked, that attachment never existed, though I know that it did. It doesn't make any sense. That type of hose doesn't close up on its own. when there's a hole in it, it stays there, even in hot weather. That lemon tree could not have survived a week without water, much less a year, and there's no way that it just received the water it needed from a neighboring tree because they're all quite spread out. I know for a fact that when I planted that lemon tree, I put a bubbler in it.
Starting point is 00:58:25 I've adjusted that same bubbler countless times when watering the trees. I know it was there, and now it isn't. I don't understand what on earth happened. Hey, Raven. My story is a little silly, yet nonetheless, eerie and bizarre in nature. I live at home with mom and dad right now while I'm saving for a house. They don't get out much, so I always do the grocery shopping for the household. I live in southern Louisiana, and we always buy the same brand of the house.
Starting point is 00:59:07 smoked sausage for our gumbo and jambalaya. We only buy this one certain Cajun brand called Richards. Several weeks ago, I was going through the freezer to cook, and I noticed this pack of Polish smoked sausage that I have never seen before. I asked my mom and dad if they got it, and neither of them had any idea where it came from. We don't typically have visitors either. I did end up cooking it and just blowing it off. Here's where it gets strange.
Starting point is 00:59:43 The next day after eating said mystery sausage, my mom, dad, and myself, we all fell extremely ill. We just kind of laughed it off and started calling it the mystery sausage and blamed it on that. As the days went by, we just forgot about it. In this past week, I went to the kitchen to cook dinner. and to my disbelief that same brand of Polish sausage is in my freezer. I asked my parents if they were playing a joke on me, and they were just as freaked out as I was. I even went as far as to read the label on the sausage and go to the website.
Starting point is 01:00:23 The sausage comes from a small mom-and-pop-type butcher in central Texas, nearly seven hours away from where I live. We've even asked family members who may have dropped in for a visit if they perhaps gifted it to us, but none of them have any clue how we got it and said they did not give it to us. Here is where it gets more strange. When I googled the address to the butchery that makes the sausage,
Starting point is 01:00:53 it's a very small rural town, where my ex-husband passed away. Now, this isn't a town like Houston or Dallas. It's a very small town that no one has probably ever heard of, so that's not just a coincidence. We still wonder how it kept just showing up here, and it honestly gives me the hebi-jeebies. I jumped timelines in a car accident. So this happened when I was fresh 18. I'm 24 now, and at the time I was living in Florida with my dad and stepmom.
Starting point is 01:01:41 My now husband, boyfriend at the time, was in jail with no chance of getting out. The day of the accident, I had gotten into an argument with my dad. He told me that I had to leave the house. So the plan was that I was going to go stay at my boyfriend's parents' house until I could get on my feet. I left my dad's house in Florida, and I started on my way to Georgia. I did have this feeling saying not to go, and the signs were always there, but I just ignored them. Like, when I stopped at the gas station and left my keys in the car for two hours. Still, those two guys who got through the window for me, bless them.
Starting point is 01:02:30 They were working, doing Uber, and they stopped to help. Anyways, I was traveling back roads from Florida to Georgia. I made it to Albany when a wave of anger and sadness hit me. Maybe I knew what was about to happen. I just could not stop crying. When I noticed I passed the first stop sign at a four-way, I told myself that I had to slow down. But by the time the next four-way came,
Starting point is 01:03:00 I turned to look out the driver window and saw an 18-wheeler coming for me. Now, this is where a thing, go absolutely wrong. I remember vividly seeing an 18-wheeler approach me, my vision cut probably from the shock, so I never felt the sensation of being hit. But when I woke up,
Starting point is 01:03:23 I was over half a mile and spun out down the road, and someone was trying to give me water. The space between the driver's side door and the middle console was about an inch and a half. That's where I was sitting, so when the EMTs came, they had to pull me out of the passenger side door. It wasn't until I got on the stretcher that I felt everything, and I couldn't breathe. On the way to the hospital in Albany, I just remember saying I can't breathe a thousand times. When I got to the hospital, they immediately put me in the SICU, because I had a hole the size of a softball in my lung,
Starting point is 01:04:05 and the glass was sitting in it. My pelvis, tailbone, an entire left side of my rib cage was broken. I remember telling the nurse to call my mom, my dad, my in-laws. My mom lived in Louisiana at the time, but she drove from Louisiana to Georgia. That was all I heard before going to sleep in the SICU. The next cognitive memory that I have is waking up and my mom being there. I had apparently slept for three days and was still in the SICU. When I woke up, the doctor and the nurse came in and let me know that my lung had closed up miraculously overnight, seemingly,
Starting point is 01:04:50 and that my fractures weren't too bad to heal from, and that I was lucky to be alive. I asked about the glass in my lungs. The doctor didn't know what I was talking about. I asked about the broken ribs, pelvis, and tailbone, and he said that, they had always been fractures. I asked about the accident, and it wasn't an 18-wheeler. It was a Dodge Ram with a massive grill in the front.
Starting point is 01:05:16 I was just in shock at this point. I spent 11 total days in the hospital. It was difficult to walk with the fractures, and I stayed with my mother for a month while I recovered. That is, until, somehow, my now husband was eligible for bond. I never asked questions. I moved in with him the same day that he was released, and we've been married ever since August of 2016. Minor things are different now and then.
Starting point is 01:05:47 My mom doesn't remember a lot of what I did growing up, but my father, in this new reality, had a terminal illness. He'd gotten a plastic anemia, which very quickly turned into leukemia, and he died within seven months. That breaks me. It was extremely fast on set, and it makes me beg the question, was it a life for a life? I probably died. Once, if not twice. And to restore balance, a life had to be taken.
Starting point is 01:06:31 First off, I'd like to say, happy new year to everyone. And happy new year to you, too, Raven. Happy New Year to you as well. I don't know if this was a genuine glitch. were a really bizarre coincidence, but I decided to submit this story because I still can't wrap my head around it. Side notes, I'm not good at writing stories,
Starting point is 01:06:53 and I'm not the most articulate, so excuse me if things don't make sense or look out of place. Anyways, this took place last month, while I was on my way to pick up my boyfriend from work. I live in a little commuter city in Southern California called Eastvale. His job at the time was about 10 minutes away from our place, but the traffic added an extra 10 minutes to the route. For those that don't know, this part of the region is known as the inland empire, or the I.E.
Starting point is 01:07:26 Roughly an hour away from L.A. and Disneyland. Anyways, I digress. I was driving on Interstate 15 north, attempting to merge onto Interstate 10 going east. Just for a bit of context, there's an on-ramp right before the junction that connects with the lane that takes you east. Luckily, I only have to get off the first street after getting on the interstate, Edawanda Avenue.
Starting point is 01:07:54 For those that really know, getting off on Edawanda Avenue is almost like merging on to the 210 via 60 East. If you know, you know. As I was attempting to merge, a big dark-gray-colored Chevy. Tahoe with aftermarket rims and a big exhaust that was loud enough to hear from the high desert again if you know you know
Starting point is 01:08:16 was getting on to the freeway and was attempting to merge onto the 15 I let him of course and see him attempting to merge into the deep heavy California traffic keep in mind this all happened a little bit after 5 p.m. so the traffic was
Starting point is 01:08:32 bad I drive on by minding my own business and listening to music. I was just about reaching my exit when I saw that exact same Chevy getting on to the interstate. Same color, same big exhaust, same tinted windows, everything. You're probably thinking, dude, most Chevys look the same. Okay, yeah, but what are the odds of seeing a vehicle modified the exact same way? I saw the driver merge into congested traffic, and for said driver to reappear again in less than a minute
Starting point is 01:09:08 getting on to the 10? It's just not possible. Once I picked up my boyfriend, I told him about the experience and he couldn't even figure it out himself. I'm still left in shock. Does anyone have answers? Thank you for coming to my TED talk.
Starting point is 01:09:34 This happened to me and my boyfriend less than a month ago and I'm still trying to wrap my head around it. I moved to a small town in Missouri half a year before this. We hadn't learned the ins and outs of it very well, so we were using GPS for the places that were surrounded by rural land. We had just taken my dad to the hospital for a procedure, which is in a very rural part of this place,
Starting point is 01:10:00 and I decided that we should go to the library to wait for him to call me and let me know when to pick him up. My boyfriend loaded up the GPS, and we started driving down the freeway back to town. It's a straight shot with a couple of turns as you're getting back into the urban area. all of the sudden, we're on a small two-lane road surrounded by wilderness that leads to a dead end. All of the houses on this road are old and abandoned. Me and him look at each other and start asking,
Starting point is 01:10:30 What the hell just happened? My boyfriend decided he wanted to see what was at the end before turning around. The dead end was a closed off street with warning signs surrounding it. Then to the left was a parking lot to a trail in the woods. We decided to not talk about it then because I was worried about my dad, and we just went to the library. When we got home, we sat down and talked about how weird it was. We were on the freeway talking, and then we were on this random road. My boyfriend has never had a problem following GPS while we are talking,
Starting point is 01:11:06 and I'm a nervous person in cars, taking in all of my surroundings. It's like we teleported. We are both. spiritual, so we talked it up to us being meant to find that trail, although we were too scared to go back. I want a logical explanation. I've run through it so many times, but nothing. We just ended up being there.
Starting point is 01:11:32 As spiritual as I am, I'm still a skeptical person, and I just can't make sense of this. The story is by J.M. 1701. So it was pretty recent, around 2018, and it was just before 3 p.m. and a clear summer day. The sky was totally blue. I was completely sober, as was my mom who was with me. I feel like I need to preface this as both my mother and I questioned what happened at the time. Mostly our sanity. The day started normal. It was around 11 a.m. when my technology started by, lugging out. Not weird. It could have been down to anything, but in all honesty, looking back,
Starting point is 01:12:31 it added to the strangeness of what was about to happen, related or not. My mother and myself went to pick up my younger sister, who was ten at the time from school, as it was just before 3 p.m. It's maybe a 15 to 20-minute walk from home to the school. The first five minutes were a breeze. I was on the phone with a friend, finishing our conversation, and when I went to hang up, my phone started freaking out. It sounded exactly like that early 2000s noise when you're sat at the computer with speakers, and a call comes in. It's that static, beeping interference noise. I'm not sure how to explain it, but if you've lived through those times, you'll know exactly what I mean.
Starting point is 01:13:20 Regardless, I put it down to it being just another odd thing. Things happen. It's whatever. This is where the strange part happened. I put my phone in my pocket and continued walking with my mother. We walked past a bus stop, and as soon as we walked past it, it was like time stood still. There was a weird cloud. It almost looked like it was a square. The sky turned a dark gray. Like I said, this was a clear summer's day.
Starting point is 01:13:52 No cloud in sight when we were. set off. We were initially walking up the path. There were plenty of cars in the sound of engines. When we got to this bus stop, nothing. No cars, no people, which was strange because it was the time when all the kids were coming out of school. And strangest of all, there was no sound of wind or nature. I know that makes no sense because of course there wouldn't be wind on a summer's day, but I mean no noise at all. Complete silence. It felt like we were walking in a ghostland.
Starting point is 01:14:30 It was eerily silent for what should have been a lively few minutes. I can't put into words how quiet it was. We walked for what felt like hours, and we both felt like we were retracing our steps until we came to the end of the road, and things slowly went back to how they were. It felt almost like hiking in a high outside, As soon as my mother and I walked by that bus stop, it felt like the world stood still,
Starting point is 01:14:58 and the sky looked entirely different from what we had seen a few seconds ago before we walked by the bus stop. Neither of us can explain it, and we still talk about it every so often. If anyone can explain this at all or tell me a similar experience, I would be grateful. The O.P. was then asked a few questions and answered them, in the comments. In this question, the person had asked if they had walked this route many times before, and the O.P. said, the route was very familiar. I went to the same school as a kid, so I've walked this route hundreds of times.
Starting point is 01:15:35 I could probably walk the route blindfolded. The road seemed to elongate, not physically or visually. It just felt like it. It felt like we were walking for what felt like forever. Again, it was in a weird silence while seeing the cloud and gray sky. I wish I could explain it better, but it truly just felt like we walked into an abandoned area for hours along with the visual anomalies. Another person asked them to tell them about the square cloud, and then asked them if they lost their sense of smell. The OP responded, I'm not entirely sure how to explain it.
Starting point is 01:16:16 The only way I can describe it, it was as if the cloud, had a corner. To the left of us was the sharp corner, and to the right of us the cloud was a little fluffier, but it definitely had an edge, and a corner. I don't remember losing my sense of smell, though. I might have, but I've spoken to my mother who experienced this with me, and both of us just remember losing all sense of self. We both remember not having any senses,
Starting point is 01:16:44 and I mean that as in no sensation in our body in regards to sense, touch, taste, etc. other than pure confusion. The overwhelming feeling was, What the hell am I witnessing? But no sense of impending doom. Again, not quite sure how to explain it. It just felt like an out-of-body experience with a lot of surreal confusion.
Starting point is 01:17:16 This actually happened, and everyone around me thinks that I'm making it up, or I'm just not remembering it right. It's difficult to explain and give a mental picture of the situation, but I'll do my best. Every Monday, I have an hour lunch break where I drive a mile down the main road to a plaza with a McDonald's. It's important to note that my place of employment is also on this main road, sitting on the corner of it, and a dead-end residential road. There's also a church across from my workplace on this residential road.
Starting point is 01:17:53 I was eating my lunch in the parking lot of the plaza like I do every Monday. There is only one exit back to the main road via a stoplight, and that you get to with a right turn from a straightaway that splits the parking lot from right and left. I was coming perpendicular to the straightaway from a parking aisle when a car pulls up on the straightaway. She stopped at the stop sign before making a right to exit. This put my car facing hers sitting perpendicular. She didn't move for a few minutes. just staring at me with dark and cold eyes.
Starting point is 01:18:32 I didn't see her blink once. I gestured multiple times to make the turn so that I could leave. She put both of her thumbs to her ears, stuck out her tongue, and did the, na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na face. She finally looks away and makes a right into the exit lane. Now that I'm free to turn to the stop sign and turn into the exit, I end up right behind her, car at the exit, which had a red line.
Starting point is 01:18:58 light. When the light turned green, she and I both made a right onto the main road going towards my place of employment. She passed the side street where my building sits, while I turned left onto the street. I made a quick three-point turn to parallel park in front of the church, now on my right, facing the main road that I turn off of. I was getting my belongings together when I got an eerie feeling that I was being watched. I looked out my driver's side. I looked out my driver's side window, when I saw her car lined up with mine, giving me that na-na-na-na-na-na-na face. She then drove off and turned back on to the main road, leaving me there stunned, confused, and honestly kind of scared.
Starting point is 01:19:45 There is no other way she could have gotten on to that road, facing the direction that she was going, in the amount of time that she had, without me seeing or coming into contact while I was parking. No explanation, just a weird and eerie, unexplainable thing. Hi, Raven. I wanted you to know that I listen to your glitch stories often. I like that I can listen and relate to others who have had experiences such as mine. I have had a few glitch experiences in my life, as well as many, many other experiences that can only be described as odd. This experience that I have written out here, is one of those odd experiences that was combined with a glitch experience. But for the sake of brevity, I'm only going to discuss the glitch part of the story here.
Starting point is 01:20:47 There is much, much more to this story that I'm not willing to share right now. I'm very fortunate that I live in a rural area of Canada. I love being in the bush and try to be out there as much as possible. In the area where I live, logging roads are about. abundant and I love to travel the back roads and explore, searching for new fishing holes and camping spots. One day I was traveling a road that I had been on one time before, which passed by a small lake with an attractive campsite next to it.
Starting point is 01:21:22 I had stayed in this campsite once before, earlier in the summer, and I was familiar with it. The road passed over a bridge with the small river that fed into the lake on the left side of the road. which the campsite bordered. The weather was bad on this day, being the 30th of October, and the transition from fall to winter was well underway. When I arrived at this point, I was disappointed that I could not go through to the camping spot that I was planning,
Starting point is 01:21:53 because the road had, at some point in the recent past, washed away, and was impassable. I carefully surveyed the damage and assessed if it was at a lot of, all possible to pass this spot by driving around the washout. I studied this scene for a long while, trying to understand how the road would wash away right next to the bridge. It seemed odd to me that the road had washed away at all, because there was no indication of why it had washed away. The water was moving easily under the bridge, and there was not any debris blocking the flow of water, yet there was a missing piece of the
Starting point is 01:22:34 road 12 feet deep and 20 feet wide right next to the bridge. I scanned the riverbank for some kind of debris along the shoreline and riverbed, but I couldn't see anything unusual. That is a lot of roadbed that was missing, and there should have been a debris trail, but there was none. Needless to say, I found this a very strange situation. I decided to just pitch my tent at the spot next to the road where I was, as it was getting late, and I had a few options of finding a suitable campsite this late in the day. The next morning I rose before sunrise, packed up and left, because the cold weather and rain during the night had forced me to admit defeat
Starting point is 01:23:20 and go home for a warm shower. After that night, I could not stop thinking about how strange that hole in the road was, The winter snow quickly came soon after, and I could not get back there to investigate further, so I resolved to return there in the spring as soon as the roads would allow. Come early March, my faithful four-wheel drive truck brought me back to that place through the patchy snow that I left late last October. However, I was thoroughly confused when I saw the road undamaged and returned to its original condition. The only conclusion that I could come to was that someone had repaired it during the winter and looked for evidence of construction equipment having been there.
Starting point is 01:24:08 I found none whatsoever. There were no tire tracks, no bulldozer tracks, no evidence of an excavator, digging dirt nearby for the roadbed repair at the small gravel pit, about 200 yards away, and no indication that the road had even been damaged at all. I scoured the ground before and after the bridge, thinking that I had been mistaken about which end of the bridge had been washed away. But both ends were equally unaltered. There were remnants of plants that had grown the previous summer and leaves that had fallen on the roadbed that previous fall.
Starting point is 01:24:45 There was no logging in the area, and there were no cottages nearby. So no reason for anyone to waste time or money to repair a barely used road during the winter. I don't know what happened. All I know is that I saw what I saw. I only want to put my story out there so that maybe there's some small scrap of information that will fit into the puzzle somewhere down the road to help us all understand what the heck is going on. Keep fighting the good fight. Signed, 71857.
Starting point is 01:25:21 Well, I live with my mom, and at first things would disappear. like I would leave my phone charger on the table and it would disappear, and then five minutes later it would appear on the table. First, I was like, okay, whatever. And then it started happening more and more, often with other things. One time while I was at work, my mom called me, and she was like, did you change your bed sheets? I'm like, what?
Starting point is 01:25:52 I still have the same blue ones. And she was like, no. you have a red one. I told her that she was just imagining things, and she walked into my room that moment, and she was like, what the hell? I know I saw them as red earlier when I walked in there.
Starting point is 01:26:09 I just told her it was her imagination. Now this other thing that just happened too, and both of us confirmed that something is happening. Something strange. We were at Walmart the other day, and she got a bottle of some hand soap, and she was like smell it. I say it smells good, like lemon.
Starting point is 01:26:31 And I read the label in front of her very clearly. Lemon-scented hand soap. I told her perfect. We can put this one in the bathroom to wash our hands. A few days pass, and today I finished using the restroom, and I was going to wash my hands, but we had no soap.
Starting point is 01:26:51 I asked my mom where the lemon hand soap we bought the other day was. She told me it was under the sink, so I went and grabbed it. I opened it, and I squeezed the nozzle. It wasn't soapy, and it was a weird texture. I'm just like, okay. So I called my mom to the restroom, and I tell her this soap doesn't work. She was like, how strange? She picked it up, and her face went pale.
Starting point is 01:27:22 I asked her what was wrong, and she was like, Like, remember you read the label the other day, and it clearly said lemon-scented hand soap? I say, yeah, why? She turned the bottle around, and it said lemon-scented body lotion. I instantly knew that was wrong. I'm just like, what the hell? That just confirms what I was suspecting all along. That we've been having a lot of glitches lately, or maybe even going to parallel universes or something.
Starting point is 01:27:55 I know it sounds lame, but I'm glad that I now have my mom as a witness to this thing that happened, and I'm not just crazy or imagining things. What do you guys think's happening? Glitch, parallel universe switch, or could the house just be haunted, and some ghosts are messing with us? I was told to post this year, so I hope it's interesting. This happened many, many years ago, but I've been telling the story ever. since, and I thought it would be fun to share and hear what people think really happened. So let's start the story.
Starting point is 01:28:42 I was visiting stores with a dear friend of mine on a weekend. We hadn't seen each other in quite some time. We didn't go to the same school. We were on our last year, 17 and 18. So we were very loudly catching up and just talking non-stop. Mind you, we used to go to the store all the, the time. We knew the way by heart, and we could do it without paying much attention. We left the store, walked to the subway, entered the subway, paid for our ride,
Starting point is 01:29:16 walked to where our train would stop because it's a two-way train, north and south, and we needed to take the one going south. Again, we knew the way by heart since almost every weekend we would go to the store. The train arrives, we take the train, and We were still very into our conversation, but there was a combination slash interchange, and they always announced it on the speaker. The interchange was three stations before we had to get off. We didn't even need to change. We hear the announcement.
Starting point is 01:29:51 We keep chatting because it was fun. I don't even remember what we were talking about, but it's not really relevant. The next thing we hear is the announcement of the same station that we took the train from. just call it Station B. So Station B doesn't have an announcement because it's not an interchange. We're surprised because everyone is not reacting. We're at the same station that we took the train from, but we did hear Station Interchange and we did move several stops.
Starting point is 01:30:25 Before the doors close, we get off, speechless. All the loud conversation had died. We looked at each other and we were in the room. the exact same spot that we took the train about 20 minutes ago, maybe less. It was a short way. Without any word, we changed from south to north. We took another train and saw every name from every station until we reached her destination. We got down and we don't know what happened.
Starting point is 01:30:54 What is curious is that they never said anything on the speakers. We have many trains in my city, so you can't just move the... the direction of a train or a collision would happen in minutes. You would have to change the direction of the entire city, not really possible, and no one else in the train seemed to be affected by the situation. Nobody else was like, whoa, what happened, the train is going backwards or anything. To this day, I don't know what it was. We were also not on any substances or alcohol.
Starting point is 01:31:30 It was the middle of the day, very sunny and everything. Also, I wasn't alone, and my friend also remembers when this happened to us. This happened nearly 20 years ago. My son was about 12, and a friend of mine that I have known since he was 10 years old, lost his older brother because of a motorcycle accident. My friend has been pretty much a brother to me, and I needed to be there for him. My son asked if he could go with me to the funeral service, because he didn't want me to go alone.
Starting point is 01:32:14 We were all like family back then. So on the day of the funeral, we headed out. The town where they had lived and where the service was taking place was about an hour drive, and I wanted to get there earlier so I could help out with a few things. The service for his brother was to start at 2 p.m., so my son and I left 45 minutes earlier so we could get there with plenty of time.
Starting point is 01:32:41 And we took the same route that we always did when we went to their town. It's a pretty easy drive and pretty much impossible to get lost on the way. We were in a 1997 Dodge Grand Caravan, a small family minivan. We were all about three-fourths of the way there, and had just gone to the last small town before we would get to their town. We come into that town, down past their Casey's gas station, stopped at the corner, turned right to head south and out of town. We would then go around five miles to the road that turned east to my friend's town. My son asked if we would have time to get a pop when we got there. I looked at the clock and my watch.
Starting point is 01:33:29 It was only 113, so we had plenty of time. It would only take another 15 minutes to get. get there to that town. So I said sure. We were just starting up the hill, out of town. The next thing we know, we were at the intersection at the end of that route. If I turned left there, I would have ended up heading to Peoria. I would have to turn around and head back the way that we came to get to the proper turn. How the heck did I miss that turn? It is plainly marked, and I've driven it dozens of times. It was two miles back,
Starting point is 01:34:09 but then I noticed the time. It was 114. My watch showed that too. I asked my son what time it was when we left that last town because he saw it too. He said 113. Okay, that confirmed what I knew should be right, but it was now 114.
Starting point is 01:34:32 A minute? Only a minute had passed. That can't be right. But according to the clocks, it was. It was weird. It wasn't like I blinked or had spaced out. Neither one of us knew what happened, just all the sudden there we were, at the intersection. Neither of us had any memory of anything.
Starting point is 01:34:56 Nothing, just poof. We went from the edge of that town to this point instantly. so I figured out 7 miles in one minute is 420 miles per hour Now I'm not sure if the amount of time was an exact minute It might have been a little less Neither one showed seconds
Starting point is 01:35:18 But 420 miles per hour That's pretty good for a minivan We couldn't understand any of it It kind of left us both a bit unsettled Because we both knew what time it had been I want to make a note that this road goes right through the middle of a bunch of wind turbines. I've always wondered if there may have been a chance that this could be an effect caused from the way some of these are positioned, or maybe we're an operation.
Starting point is 01:35:48 Maybe someone has thoughts about this. Could that happen? On the night of December 21st, I was in the basement watching a movie when my dad's phone started blowing up with calls. He was asleep, so I went up to see what was going on. It was my brother, and he had called multiple times. He had also called me multiple times, but my phone was on silent because of the movie, and because my fantasy hockey team's chat was super active and getting annoying. I called him back, and he said that he had been in an accident,
Starting point is 01:36:33 and that he thought he was going to get a DUI. He was coming home from out of state, and I'm still not sure. of the details. I guess that he had pulled off into a truck stop and police saw him not go through the wait station, so they stopped him. And at some point, he accidentally backed into a big rig. Nothing happened with actually backing up into the truck, just minor damage on his end, but he refused the field test and opted for a blood test, which he got, and he also got
Starting point is 01:37:06 to spend a night and a half a day in jail. That is all really irrelevant and personal, so I'll spare the other details. Anyways, a week later, my dad gets a call from a random number. The person on the other end says, Dad, I was in an accident. He said it sounded just like him. After some frantic calling, which he never picked up, we finally got a hold of his friend who knew where he would be working construction that day.
Starting point is 01:37:36 My dad and my other brother decided to drive out there to see if they could find any sign of him in his truck. Remember, his previous accident is still fresh in everyone's head, so everyone was in a state of panic. They finally get to the job site and see him there. He has no idea what they're talking about when they tell him that they got a call from him saying he was just in an accident. He had not been in an accident and had just been working all that morning. We were all baffled by what happened. Who called my dad's phone? The number just disconnects when called, but it's associated with the local mortgage company.
Starting point is 01:38:16 Was it someone playing a prank? Was someone else actually in an incident and dialed the wrong number? Why did it sound like my brother? And why a week after all of that? We all find this extremely disturbing with the timing, so I guess that's my glitch. I'm not sure what to make of it. but I find myself entertaining the idea that it was a call from a different timeline or something. Also, I wasn't sure about adding this, but maybe this will just add to the strangeness.
Starting point is 01:38:50 Seven years ago, to the week, I saw a major car accident from a police chase, and then two years after that, which would be that same December week, I got into an accident with someone that same brother knew. It ended amicably, but the girl I hit said, These things always seem to happen during the holidays. Because she had also been in an accident around that same exact time a year or so prior. Maybe this is all a bunch of coincidences, but I feel like that's a few, too many. So I know that this is going to sound weird and ridiculous,
Starting point is 01:39:40 but the craziest thing happened at Walmart yesterday that kind of freaked me out for a while. So, me and my girlfriend go to Walmart pretty frequently. It's cheap, and sometimes they have some really cool Disney and anime shirts and stuff that we like, and it's only five minutes from our house. So, she told me she was going to go check out the women's clothes to see if they have any biker shorts, while I was going to go to the men's section to see if they had any new anime or Disney shirts. We decided that I would just meet back with her since the registers are right in front of the women's clothing, and then we would go. When I was done checking the men's stuff, I see my girlfriend walking toward the food section,
Starting point is 01:40:29 and in my head I was wondering why she was going there. So I started following her to catch up to her, and I see her suddenly turn. turn left. So I ran and turned left and no one was there. It was an empty aisle. And I was kind of confused, so I ran some more looking for her thinking that she was messing with me and maybe just went to the next aisle. And legit, there wasn't anybody near there. I was confused on where she would have gone. So I decided to just call her up. And I decided to just call her up. and I said, Hey, where are you?
Starting point is 01:41:10 Why'd you go to the food aisle? I told you I would meet back up with you in the women's clothes. She said, I am in the women's clothes. I've been in the same spot. I immediately said, I just saw you walk here, referring to the section I'm at, and she was really confused. I ran towards the women's section and found her,
Starting point is 01:41:35 and I told her what happened and what I saw. saw, and she said that maybe I mistook someone else for her. But my girlfriend is a pretty distinct girl. She's 5'9, and has really long blonde hair, and is decked out completely in Disney. She was definitely weirded out, but kind of just shrugged it off. Honestly, I have no clue what happened. I was only like seven feet from her when she turned down the aisle, and I don't think she would have made it all that. the way down to the next aisle by the time I turned into it. And I ran the entire vicinity looking for her because I thought it was weird.
Starting point is 01:42:16 She was legit trying on clothes when I met back up with her at the women's section. Who the hell did I see? Or what was it? The fact this happened at Walmart of all places is weird in and of itself, but it really did freak me out. Edit, I know people are going to think, oh, you just saw someone. who looked like your girlfriend. But she was wearing something very specific, a Disneyland jersey,
Starting point is 01:42:44 which you get only from the park with Disney Crocs. We live in a retirement town near a res in the valley, so not many five-nine blonde girls decked out in Disney here. Plus, the girl I saw disappeared basically into thin air, so even if it was a girl who just looked like my girlfriend, it was still weird as hell. This happened a few months back, and we are still weirded out. It just makes zero sense, unless it glitched.
Starting point is 01:43:27 I'm pretty habitual when it comes to my shoes. I hate wearing them, and if walking around barefoot wasn't so gross and dangerous, I would do it every chance I got. They're the first thing to get yanked off when I walk in, besides my bra. I'll plop down in my recliner and kick my shoes off directly under our coffee table every single time. I did this like I always do a while back after running to the gas station late one night a couple of months ago. I kicked off my only blue pair of sneakers right there under that table. One shoe lands flat on the floor, right side up, while the other tipped on its side and was touching the table leg.
Starting point is 01:44:12 Not long after that, it was bet you. time. And we got up the next morning and discussed what we would be doing that day, and yard work was at the top of our list. I got up from my chair and took note that both of my shoes were right where I left them the previous night, and that I would use them while mowing. I went in my room, changed clothes, and then walked straight back out into the living room and plopped back down in my chair. There was only one shoe sitting there, though. The one that landed right side up is only there. Hmm.
Starting point is 01:44:46 Odd. I go ahead and slip it on. So, I then immediately get down on all fours and look under the couch. It reclined so my shoes get shut up under there sometimes. No dice. I stood back up and walked around the backside of the couch. Nata. I try looking under the opposite end of the couch where my husband always sits.
Starting point is 01:45:10 Nothing there either. I'm starting to get frustrated because my husband, and is dressed and headed outside, but I'm not ready. He noticed me getting flustered and asked what's up. It's my damn shoes. I kicked them off right here last night and even noticed them before I changed a minute ago, but one's missing now? He cocks his head.
Starting point is 01:45:32 Yeah, you're right. I just walked right by them myself, not five minutes ago. I know they were both there. But did you check under your... I squint. Yes, of course, I checked under the couch. I've looked all around and underneath. He now looks as perplexed as I feel, so I know that we're on the same page.
Starting point is 01:45:53 He walks over and just lifts my end of the couch straight up. I again get down on the floor like an animal and confirm there's not a damn thing under there except a lot of dust. So, we flip not just the entire living room, but the entire house over. It's a tiny cottage, so it doesn't take long, and we see. still both came up empty-handed. I'm starting to get super upset because I've always struggled with short-term memory, so little hiccups like this are pretty infuriating. I get pissed at myself, and when that happens, I have to fight back tears, and at this point
Starting point is 01:46:31 that's exactly where I am. We both walk into the living room, and are still talking about how damn strange that it's just magically poof-gone, and that's when we both instinctually look down, and that's when we both instinctually looked down at the very spot where I started. And there it was. It's sitting exactly how it was earlier, on its side, and touching the table leg. We stood there for a long minute before I let out a, there is no freaking way. My husband's face scrunched up.
Starting point is 01:47:05 I mean, you got down there many times. You were literally just there. You would have been sitting directly on top of it. What the hell? So I put my weird shoe on and stared at it for a few seconds. I mean, it just glitched, I guess. This just happened to me tonight, and I'm wondering if anybody has experienced anything similar.
Starting point is 01:47:40 So I get home from work around 11 p.m., and by then everyone else in the house is in bed sleeping. I walk through my front door and I hear that the TV is on, so my first thought is that my brother is still awake watching TV, which I thought was a little weird, but not too weird, because he would rarely be up when I get home. Anyways, I was going to go into the living room expecting to see him and to say, what are you doing still awake? But he wasn't on the couch.
Starting point is 01:48:15 I then thought to myself, he must have just gone to bed without shutting off the TV. I then went to the bathroom, maybe for five minutes tops. I come back out and sit at the kitchen table. The way the house is set up, you can't really see the couch from the kitchen, but you can see the footrest of the recliner on the couch. And so, when I sat down at the table, I looked over and saw his foot on the recliner. Then I got up, and sure enough, he was sound asleep on the couch. I was really questioning myself at this point, so I needed clarification as to if he had just been there since I'd gotten home from work,
Starting point is 01:49:00 or if he got up in between the time I checked the couch and he wasn't there in the time I was in the bathroom for. Anyways, I woke him up and asked him if he's been there the whole time since I got home. His response was just, I don't know, I think so, basically still half asleep. Moral of the story, I'm just thinking I missed him on the couch, but I remember clear as day checking to see if he was there. And he wasn't. I've been lurking on this sub for years now, and I've desperately wanted to experience a glitch, but, aside from several DOPs, I've had nothing. And then yesterday, it finally happened. It's rather boring as far as glitches go, but I asked and the universe delivered.
Starting point is 01:50:00 So, who am I to complain? Anyways, here it is. I like to listen to podcasts while I go about my daily routine, usually while exercising, cleaning, or putting on makeup. If I don't have anything else to do, I'll do a jigsaw puzzle or paint by numbers. Yesterday I was finishing up a paint-by-numbers painting, and coincidentally listening to a podcast on glitches. It's important to note the way that I go about completing the paintings.
Starting point is 01:50:34 I always do one color at a time, and since the paintings are large, I invariably miss a few spots here and there, but I'll go back and paint those as I find them. At this point, my painting was almost finished, and I was on the last color. But there was one spot that I had left because paint from an adjacent spot had smeared over the night, and I couldn't tell what it was. The painting kit comes with the paper version of the painting, with the numbers on it for that exact reason. So I referred to the paper, saw that it was a five, pink, and I painted it. I distinctly remember doing this.
Starting point is 01:51:17 I made sure to use plenty of paint so that it would cover the smudged paint underneath. There was a spot adjacent to this that I needed to paint, but I decided to move on to another section in order to let the pink dry a bit first. After working on another part of the painting, I went back to that section, and the pink that I had just painted was completely gone. Vanished. It looked exactly as it had before, with the brown paint smudged and obscuring the number. There is no explanation for this.
Starting point is 01:51:51 I am 100% sure that I painted the spot. I remember I had to rinse my brush before and after, and. as it was a different color. I remember making sure to completely cover the paint underneath. Even if I had accidentally brushed my arm across it, it wouldn't completely disappear like that. I've made mistakes before, and even when I notice immediately and wipe it away with the paper towel,
Starting point is 01:52:18 it still leaves a residue. There was absolutely nothing there, aside from the brown paint that had smudged over the number. It looked exactly like it had before I painted it. How? So, there's my glitch. It's kind of silly and boring, but beggars can't be choosers, I guess. I should stop complaining and own my glitch with pride.
Starting point is 01:52:45 Maybe the universe will provide me with something more interesting next time. One day, my mom and I were going to a funeral. We attended the wake and afterwards got in our... our car. I asked my mother where the funeral would be since she was in charge of the invitation. She said that she had no idea and didn't bring the invitation. She told me to follow someone from the wake. So we started following another family member as they drove in their dark green car. I know a lot of funerals do the things where they all drive together, will have their lights on, and even little flags so the people in mourning can stay together.
Starting point is 01:53:35 But for whatever reason, this funeral, we weren't doing that. It worked out fine as we followed the green car. We came to an intersection that I know quite well. We arrived at the end of the road at the light. We could only go left or right, and the car we were following was still ahead of us. No other cars in between us. They were turning left, and so were we. There was only one lane to turn left, one lane to turn right.
Starting point is 01:54:03 Once you turned left, there was another light right after the first intersection. So we turned left, following immediately after the green car. There were no other cars that could have merged into our lane as it was one left-hand lane. We turned still behind the green car. The next intersection had a red light, so we came to a stop behind the green car. It was still one lane of traffic, nowhere for any of us to go until the light turned green. While we waited, we started talking, just normal chit-chat. Then I looked at the car ahead of us.
Starting point is 01:54:42 We're following a dark green car, right? Yeah. Where is it? We were still at that second intersection. The light hadn't turned green. We hadn't moved an inch. Yet the dark green car was completely gone, and a tan car was in its place. The make of the car was completely different as well.
Starting point is 01:55:03 The light turned green and we started driving again, though by now my mom and I were flipping out. Where did the car go? There was nowhere for it to have gone. There was only one lane of traffic. No one could have merged into our lane. That dark green car was completely gone. Also, where were we supposed to go? Well, by that point, my mom remembered the church's name, and we did eventually find.
Starting point is 01:55:33 find our way there. It's the most bizarre glitch that I've experienced. The car completely disappeared and changed. After years, I discovered these glitch in the Matrix stories appearing online. I was listening to some recently in-texted my mother asking if she remembered the car changing. I have expected her to reply, what are you talking about? But to my surprise, she remembered it. She is still confused about what actually happened, and has no idea where that car disappeared to.
Starting point is 01:56:08 And, most importantly to me, it wasn't a dream. It really happened.
