Starting point is 00:01:06 Today, we have a Dark Dreams episode. It's a glitch, dark dreams episode, which means it is older stories remastered. And I don't usually do special intros for Dark Dreams, just because I prefer getting right into the stories after a quick, like, hey, like the podcast, kind of thing, but I wanted to pop in here and just say that you matter. I don't know if anyone needs to hear it, or if anyone that needs to hear it, we'll hear it on this podcast. It's a silly thing to ever assume anyone will hear anything I say, but I just want you to know that you matter, you are important, and if you're having a bad day, just know that that too will pass. You will be okay one way or another, okay? Just stick with it.
Starting point is 00:01:52 Keep your heads up. Yeah. Anyways. Enjoy the stories, my friends. This happened to me in December of 1969. I'm a retired RN. I've experienced or witnessed many things that are beyond understanding, but I'm also a critical thinker,
Starting point is 00:02:21 and my story changed my thoughts on our limited view of reality forever. I was with my high school boyfriend on a typical, Friday date night in Jeffersonville, Indiana. After socializing with friends at the local hangouts, we would ride out on the rural back roads that were located between downtown and my home in a subdivision. There were dairy farms and cornfields on either side of the road for about six miles. The few homes along this stretch sat on the back of properties, and there were a couple of equipment paths that led to small open fields that were our teenage parking spots.
Starting point is 00:03:04 Past that, the two-lane narrow road was heavily wooded with no homes or cleared property for 10 miles. This particular road had many curves and hills, which is typical for southern Indiana. Its sparse population and teenage driving led to many accidents. There were no cell phones in those days, and SOP, if one saw an accident, was to stop, help, and pray for another motorist to appear, to flag down to send to the nearest house to call the police and ambulance, or to transport the victims to the hospital yourself. It was a very cold December night, and snow flurries began.
Starting point is 00:03:53 We left our parking area immediately as my curfew was. to be missed. The remainder of our drive to my house was through the wooded area, and on straightways we saw taillights quite a bit ahead. As we were approaching the second sharp curve, we saw headlights shining from ground level and at an angle towards us. We immediately slowed and pulled as far off the road as possible. The grill was damaged, and the passenger side had struck a tree.
Starting point is 00:04:26 The headlights, and the other side were. why his pitch-black night were blinding. A fully restored, beautiful 1956 Chevy had apparently tried to take the curve too fast, and had lost control. The car was off the road on its roof. My boyfriend, Greg, grabbed his flashlight and got another for me, along with the first aid kit from the trunk, and we ran to assist anyone that might be injured. Headlights had kept us from seeing how many passengers the car held.
Starting point is 00:05:00 I clearly remember my heart pounding from the adrenaline, and my mind fearing injuries as nobody was shouting back to our calling out, and nobody was attempting to get out of the car. I could smell the strong odor of gasoline and burned rubber. The engine was running and was making a knocking sound. Greg got down on his knees and opened the driver, and opened the driver. side door, and I opened the back. The car was empty. He reached up and turned the ignition. The engine was now off, and the woods were silent.
Starting point is 00:05:37 Nothing was making sense. Our headlights and flashlights were giving us light, and we started searching for a possible injured person. The windows were rolled up and starting to fog. Greg had already searched the interior. At this point, Our assumption was that the driver must have gotten out, and we just hadn't seen him or her. We didn't understand why they hadn't answered us, as we ran to help or why the car had been left running.
Starting point is 00:06:07 We continued to search for a person, around the wreck. We tried to go into the woods, but the underbrush and steep embankment was impossible to climb. At this point, we decided whoever was driving may have just walked away. We got back into Greg's car and drove slowly three miles back, and then turned around and drove slowly the next six, fully expecting to find someone needing a ride home or to a phone. We were relieved that the driver must not be hurt, but couldn't imagine why they didn't see us,
Starting point is 00:06:42 and how they had left on foot without us seeing them. No other vehicles had come down the road. At this point, the remaining road that we drove was covered with snow, and we saw no tracks. There were no houses. We went to my house for my parents were waiting, and I was really late. Greg told my father what had happened, and then described the car and how beautifully restored it was,
Starting point is 00:07:07 in case he knew to whom it may belong. The whole incident just left us baffled. By the next day, we decided that maybe there was a house in the woods or side road that we missed. We both were just unsettled by it. We didn't know why we were worried about what now appeared to be a non-event. The next day, we went back to the scene of the accident. Both of us felt that we would find a house close by that had gone unnoticed or a side road. Something.
Starting point is 00:07:40 We didn't understand why we were still dwelling on it, but little did we know that quite the opposite was what we found. The car was still there, but had been moved into a clearing in the trees. I will never understand what happened the night of the Chevy, whose taillight we followed, hit that curve and rolled. There it was, still on its roof. The damaged grill and the front fender damaged. The accident on a Friday night. Here we stood, on Sunday afternoon, at the car.
Starting point is 00:08:14 The paint was faded. The body was completely rusted through over a majority of it. The tires were completely rotted, and the rims were raced. rusted. The interior was dry-rodded and covered with mold. The windows were gone and the windshield was broken with the basketball-sized hole full of vines growing in and out of the car. The embankment we had tried to search was now a clearing, and setting further back into the woods was a small abandoned two-room shack. We later did a property search, but it only led us to owners that had bought the acreage with the shack and car on it. All we were left with was a lifetime
Starting point is 00:08:58 of questions surrounding a cold December night. It has been years now, but that night still haunts me. Fan of soccer, you could assist a moment historic. Starting point is 00:09:50 that people go through. I look at it as a strange little rabbit hole that you can get lost in, but I never thought that I would have a glitch to share, yet here I am. This left me honestly dumbfounded and confused, but maybe someone can offer up an explanation for what it is that happened. This actually happened a couple of weeks ago. It was a Friday night, and I was about to have a fun weekend with one of my girlfriends.
Starting point is 00:10:21 We were both off the following week, so... So, admittedly, we were going to overdo it. We were staying home, though, so it wasn't like we were going to be a problem, just really messed up and sitting in my living room. My girlfriend, Sammy, came over, and she asked me if I'd gotten her peach snobs. I'd completely forgotten to get them, and she'd forgotten to remind me, so before we started, we made a trip to the liquor store. We got there, got the bottle, the last one on the shelf, mind you, went to the counter and had small talk with the cashier.
Starting point is 00:11:06 I paid for it. We walked out and got right back on the road. It's not a long trip, only about ten minutes, and about halfway back Sammy opened the bag to look at the schnops. And it wasn't peach? I glanced over and she made a comment about how. we grabbed the wrong thing. The thing is, that's not possible. We grabbed the last peach schnops on the shelf, which is a slightly peach-tinged clear color.
Starting point is 00:11:39 The bottle she was holding was sour apple-flavored, which was a very bright green. Not to mention, I don't even like apples, and I wouldn't have accidentally grabbed it. I asked Sammy if she wanted to head back to the store and get the peach snobs, and she said that it was fine, and that maybe she would like what we grabbed. I told her that we could go back if she wanted,
Starting point is 00:12:07 but she again said no that it was fine. I said okay, and we continued heading home. That, however, is only half of the glitch. The bottle changing to something else. it actually gone even more strange. When we got back to my house, I walked into the kitchen and there was a bottle of her peach snobs sitting on the counter.
Starting point is 00:12:34 She made a comment about how I told her I didn't have any, and I said that I didn't, and that I had no idea where that bottle had come from. I don't keep a ton of liquor in my house because I'm not a super heavy drinker, unless it's an event like this. so I only had one or two bottles in my house. So it wasn't like this could have just been missed or looked over.
Starting point is 00:13:00 It was sitting on the counter right up front. Weirder still? This bottle was sealed. The plastic ring around the cap hadn't been broken yet. So it was brand new. Sammy laughed it off and told me I was losing it, but I'm seriously confused. I didn't have any of this in my house prior, yet there it was. I know that we grabbed what we meant to grab at the store,
Starting point is 00:13:30 yet it seemingly changed halfway home. How was any of this possible beyond me, as she said, losing my mind? I'm pretty sure my brain is still stable, so I'm just accepting that this was a really weird thing that occurred. I can't make heads or tails of it. It was creepy. It was weird. And it left me in a weird bit of...
Starting point is 00:13:57 Uh... What? I have a story from when I was a kid. And I know most people will look at the story and think, Oh, that's not a glitch, or that's nothing important that happened. Or even think that I was a kid, so I don't remember things correctly. To that, I will say that you are wrong. What happened to me was a small and...
Starting point is 00:14:31 fairly innocuous thing, sure, but it was something that became a core memory because of how strange it was to me at the time, and how strange it is to me still. When I was young, around eight or nine, my parents ended up getting divorced, and my dad really put a lot of effort into staying a part of my life. I'm not saying that he wasn't part of my life prior to this, but when they split up, he seemed to put more effort into being there, which was fine. Anyways, most weekends, when he would come pick me up, he would take me to a fishing supply store that we had nearby.
Starting point is 00:15:13 We would go there, because they had a small restaurant in the store, and they also had a massive aquarium full of local freshwater fish. And being young, I absolutely thought it was the coolest thing ever. So, while my father and I were either, our lunch, I would sit and watch the fish swim around when my dad talked to me about school, friends, and literally anything else that was going on in my life. Now, there was one day that I remember on the way up there, my dad had told me that he had it on good knowledge, that they had gotten several new fish, including several largemouth bass,
Starting point is 00:15:57 and that they were adding them to the tank that day. Bass are, to me, really cool fish, so I was excited. We got there right as they were adding them to the tank, so we went to go and get our food first. We got our lunch, and I recall on this day, I was feeling strangely antsy. Back then, I probably thought it was the excitement of the new fish and just spending the day with my dad, but there was something off about it. I remember telling my dad that I needed to go to the restroom and excusing myself from the table.
Starting point is 00:16:39 And I recall walking by the tank as the employee was adding the bass to the tank, but something about it was off. It took me several moments to really place it, but I can remember this whole thing vividly right now as I write this. Nothing was moving. When I say nothing, I mean nothing. The fish were all completely motionless. The employee that was adding the fish was kneeling and holding the container of water with the bass in it, and they were pouring the water into the large tank, but the water wasn't moving. For what felt like several moments, everything in the store seemed to just completely stop moving
Starting point is 00:17:27 and sit motionless, almost like time had stopped. I stared at the fish thinking that they would swim up to see what was going on. I stared at the employee thinking they were going to add the fish any second now, but none of it happened while I was staring. It was as if the entire scene in front of me was frozen in time, and I was the only one bearing witness to this weird lockup. I recall how much that weird feeling. feeling of anxiety hit me while I was staring at this situation.
Starting point is 00:18:02 I remember feeling like, what is going on? And then immediately being struck with, what I am seeing should not be happening. I turned around to look at my dad, and the second I turned, I heard the sound of the water hitting the water in the tank, and life continued as normal. I looked back and things were happening as they were supposed to.
Starting point is 00:18:27 Obviously back then I didn't know what to think of the whole thing, but looking at it now, and having looked into glitch stories and how things are probably a simulation, this almost felt like some kind of lag. Like, my brain was a step ahead of the program that was running, and I wasn't supposed to notice it. But I did. It was definitely the weirdest thing that has ever happened to me, and I've never had another experience like it. Hey everyone, I've never really wanted to share this story with the internet,
Starting point is 00:19:15 mostly because I know that it sounds incredibly bizarre, and I know that a lot of people won't believe it. But with the seemingly increasing prevalence of glitch in the Matrix stories and stories of alternate timelines, I thought maybe I could put it here and people would explain. accept it. I'm 17 now, but the experiences that I'm talking about here all started back whenever I was around 10, and they've caused me a lot of distress throughout a large portion of my life. And it's really made me think about the thin wall that blocks one existence from another.
Starting point is 00:19:58 So here's my story. Ever since I was a very little girl, I've always had these super vivid dreams, sometimes disturbingly vivid. They're like a kaleidoscope of emotions and senses, experiences that feel incredibly tangible, incredibly real. I've dreamt of various things like alternate lives, different places, interacting with people I've never met, and, remarkably, some of these dreams have had effects on real things in life, very real effects that don't make much sense to me. For instance, when I was around ten, I dreamt of playing a melody at a concert on a grand piano, my fingers hitting every key effortlessly. In this dream, I played this song like I had been playing it for ages. I think it was a song that I'd actually written.
Starting point is 00:21:02 When I woke up, I felt compelled to go to my brother's room and play his Casio keyboard that he had. He wasn't home at the time, he was with his dad, so I went into his room, turned on the keyboard, and I started playing. I played this song from the first note to the last. I played this absolutely gorgeous melody on the piano without even thinking about it. I've had zero training or practice. I can play Mary Had a Little Lamb, and that's about it. And yet, I played this absolutely beautiful melody. Worse yet, after I played it the first time,
Starting point is 00:21:47 I sat there thinking with this huge grin that I was some sort of musical savant. And then I tried to play it a second time. and I couldn't. I couldn't figure out which keys to hit. I couldn't move my fingers fast enough, and I couldn't remember the tempo or the tune. One morning, I woke up with an eerie sense of deja vu. The room, the people, the things I did at school that day,
Starting point is 00:22:15 all of it felt incredibly familiar. After a while, it hit me. I was living through one of these dreams. I was literally going through the motions that I'd had in one of these vivid dreams that I frequently experience. But what's weird to me is that, after that, things kind of started feeling like they were bleeding from these dreams into my real life. I once had a dream where I made a painting in my high school art class that won second prize, in an art competition for the school. I'm certain that this was just a dream and not real life, but yet,
Starting point is 00:22:53 I have a painting affixed with a silver-colored ribbon. I suck at painting. I cannot for the life of me paint like that painting, but it exists now. I had a dream that my mother and I once built a flower bed in the backyard with a birdhouse that my father constructed. It was an intricate birdhouse that took him a long time to make. And now, when I look out back, I can see the flower bed. The problem is that my mother and I never did that.
Starting point is 00:23:27 My dad doesn't live with us and hasn't since I was a child, and he certainly is not good with carpentry. I had another dream where my dad and I visited my aunt's grave, my aunt that I loved dearly, one that I remember spending Christmas with every year. When I had this dream, she was alive and now she's gone. I don't mean that she's died since that dream. I mean that, from what I've been told,
Starting point is 00:23:58 she died three years before I was born, in a car accident. I remember spending time with this woman, who died before I was even born. I have several more, but I think that you all get the picture, and I don't want to go on and on. This has all led me to really feel like reality is, malleable, something that we can change into various shapes.
Starting point is 00:24:27 I'm not saying that I'm the one shaping my reality because I'm not. I'm just seeing things that aren't real, and then they seem to become real. I'm not manifesting them, but they are manifesting. Again, I know that this all sounds really crazy, and I don't want to believe that I'm going absolutely bonkers at the age of 17. I feel like I'm stuck in this weird spiral of uncertainty, where I'm not sure if I'm just misremembering things or imagining things that weren't real and thinking they are. Or, maybe, those weird days where things happened are the dreams and this is real life.
Starting point is 00:25:10 See what I mean? It's a weird cyclical struggle for me where I don't know what's what. The only thing is that I'll say that it has been a long time since I've had any of these dreams where things seem to change in my life. So maybe it's over. Maybe it was a passing thing for me and it only took half of my life to get through it. Or maybe the next one will be even crazier. I don't have any clear answers and maybe I never will, but through it all, I've come to have a lot of questions about our reality
Starting point is 00:25:47 and my own existence. Hi, Raven, I hope you're doing well. I wanted to share a bizarre event that happened to me, my sister and my cousin, when we were kids. They all remember it to this day as well, and none of us are able to explain it. My sister and I used to share a room, with our beds parallel to each other.
Starting point is 00:26:21 We had two plushies that we played with, all the time. Hers was Tweedy, the yellow bird from that old cartoon, and mine was Jerry, from Tom and Jerry. In this game of ours, the goal was to toss our plushies into the opposite bed, so she would have to defend her bed from my plushy by hitting it with her hand, as if we were playing tennis while trying to throw her toy onto my bed, and vice versa. Sometimes the plushies would fall into the crack between the bed and the wall, ending up under the bed. This would be annoying since the time spent looking for it
Starting point is 00:26:58 would allow the opponent to easily win by a point, by having clear access to the bed without the defense from the other side. We often had fun with this plushy war, and our cousin knew about it too. One time he was spending a few days at our place, and I was playing the game with him, as my sister was in the other room.
Starting point is 00:27:21 At one point, I was, was looking for my Jerry plushy, which fell behind the bed, when he threw Tweedy onto my bed. It bounced against the wall, and as much as I remember, I felt it hit the mattress. My cousin recalls that it fell through the crack, so I'm not sure if it ended up on top of or under my bed, but it certainly fell down. However, when I found Jerry and looked up, it wasn't there. I looked under the bed. It wasn't there either. We both searched for it, looking even in the drawers that used to be under the bed, thinking that it might have somehow ended up there.
Starting point is 00:28:02 But we just could not find it. We told my sister and my mom, and all of us looked for it for a while to no avail. It just vanished in thin air. A few days later, my cousin was still at our house, and while we were playing, for some reason, he climbed onto the plank at the end of my bed. which was right by the closet. We had some stuff stored on top of the closet,
Starting point is 00:28:29 so he probably wanted to take something down. But suddenly, his jaw dropped, and I saw him pick up the Tweety Plushy, from the top of the closet. We both remember it falling down. If it somehow flew up there, my cousin would see it. Apart from that, it would be impossible to make it end up in the closet.
Starting point is 00:28:53 top of the closet while aiming at my bed. It simply didn't make sense. To this day, we still talk about it sometimes. We don't have any rational explanation of how it could have happened, so we just accepted that Tweedy got some teleportation skills that day. So, until I recently discovered the Glitch in the Matrix thread on Reddit, I had just kept this to myself as a weird little creepy story between first. friends. It never occurred to me that this could be a part of something bigger, where other people
Starting point is 00:29:39 experience the same things. Now, I don't want to jump on the bandwagon and assume that I've experienced anything out of the ordinary, and like most people in life, I've put things down and they've not been where I thought I'd left them, but this left me weirded out like nothing else. When I was younger, I was obsessed and fascinated with ghosts and the paranormal. Sure, a typical teenager hype. But since, I've suffered with anxiety disorders. I moved into my home nearly five years ago now. I'm English, and I live in an old Victorian terrace house, one with thin walls and loud neighbors, pipes, and creeks. Even at 21 years old, every creek and bump in the night sent my mind racing to the point
Starting point is 00:30:35 where I'd convinced myself someone was in the house, and I've hidden under the quilts to come to terms with the fact that it was simply part of the house that I was in. Over the years, not only have I become accustomed to the noises of my house, but to cure my anxious mind, I've effectively convinced myself that ghosts simply don't exist. If they don't exist, how can I fear them? It makes sense to me. And now, after many terrified nights alone, I am truly 200% sure they don't. Nor will I let myself be told otherwise. I'd stopped believing because I didn't want to be scared on my own. Anyways, I want to say maybe three years. ago, I hadn't been in my house super long, and two things disappeared. For a bit of backgrounds,
Starting point is 00:31:31 I'd gone out for a few drinks with my two best friends, friends I had known since three years old, friends I would trust with my life and my child's life, not random backs for a party, but good pals. Firstly, I went out wearing my great aunt's ring. This was the first time. I donned the item outside of the house. We were sat at the table sharing some wine, when I looked at my hand and noticed it wasn't there anymore. In all honesty, it was loose-fitting on the finger that I wore it on, but I can distinctly remember all night I was constantly fidgeting with it
Starting point is 00:32:13 out of fear of losing it, and I can't understand how I would have gone so long without touching it, noticing it was missing. Due to my distress, My friends instantly helped me search the house, and by house, I mean the two rooms that we'd been in since arriving home. We even checked the street that we had walked up with flashlights, but to no avail. We were sat at my dining room table, which would be the receptacle if I were to place it down. It wasn't there.
Starting point is 00:32:45 I ended up putting a post on a local Facebook group to see if anyone had found it and to keep an eye out. basically admitting to myself that I had drunkenly lost it. The night continues, and I deal with the fact that I've lost a family heirloom of sorts. We drank a little more and took ourselves into the living room. We were singing, dancing, taking selfies, the typical behavior of three drunken 20-year-olds. It was all very average, until I lost my phone. Now, I won't lie. I'm renowned for losing and breaking phones.
Starting point is 00:33:25 It was almost a serial joke that I would lose it on a night out. Except we weren't out. We were in. And I definitely had it in the house. Naturally, we turned the room upside down. And by upside down, I mean literally. And we took everything off every sofa, and chair cushions, including the big ones that made the sofa up.
Starting point is 00:33:51 We lifted the rug. We pulled back the sofa and the chair, we looked in the toy boxes, and under every single piece of furniture, but it never turned up. So, we did the same thing to the dining room, the only other room that we had been in since getting back to the house. Without exaggerating, we must have turned each room ten times, if not more. even against what we knew was true because we all knew that I had used my phone since arriving home, but we accepted that it must have been left at the pub. Obviously, we called the phone. We called my number countless times with each time being sent to the voicemail.
Starting point is 00:34:37 We tried Facebook and Instagram Messenger. We tried Snapchat, WhatsApp, none of it would connect. It made no sense. My phone, the last time I checked, was at over 70%, so there was no way it was dead. Regardless, we continued searching and calling it to no avail, so we gave up. The next day I came downstairs, hung over, obviously, and I made some toast and sat at the dining room table to eat it. When I saw my ring, just there, in the middle of the table. very clear, uncovered, unashamed, just there as though it was a centerpiece.
Starting point is 00:35:22 Naturally, I thought it was a bit odd that we had checked the pretty much clear table several times, and it wasn't there, for now to just be there gleaming at me. I will say now my friends left that night before I went to bed, and we did a final thorough check. There is no way that I would believe either of them would steal that from me, and there's absolutely no way they could have re-entered the property after they left. Sure, the ring reappearing was odd, but I just figured we were drunk and missed what was staring us right in the face. I took my Facebook post down, and that was the end of it. My friends were both delighted and confused when I told them.
Starting point is 00:36:09 As from my phone, several days went by and there was still. no sign of it. I'd yet again posted in local Facebook sites and people had been trying to call it, however it always went to voicemail, even though I had quite a bit of battery. I could have been potentially five or six days later. I was in bed, long forgotten the phone as I'm always losing it. It's ten past seven in the morning. I hear vibrations and an obnoxious alarm song. My alarm. I have a sun, so 10 past 7 is the time my alarm is usually set for the school run. This was a weekend. I'm laid in bed thinking it's part of a dream, but it doesn't stop and I can hear the vibrations.
Starting point is 00:36:58 I go downstairs towards the living room, and it gets louder. I go towards the sofa and put my hand on one of the big bottom sofa cushions, and I can feel the vibration. I pull two cushions apart, and there it is. my phone, with 65% battery just buzzing and singing away to itself. Pretty much on show between the main cushions, just in the crack. I can't believe it. I turn the alarm off because, gross, it's far too early to be listening to that, but also,
Starting point is 00:37:32 what the hell? I check my phone, the time is right. There are zero missed calls, zero messages, a load of battery, and it's on loud. I know for a fact that my sofa has been fully taken apart nearly ten times. I know that calls wouldn't connect, and I know that for the past five mornings at least, an alarm has not sounded. No one other than me had a key from my house,
Starting point is 00:38:04 and neither friend had been back over since to be able to plant it. It was as though I'd simply left it and nothing had happened, but something had happened. It disappeared and disconnected for nearly a week. I looked back through the photos because I knew we had taken selfies and stupid drunken videos the night that it went missing. But none of them were there. I instantly rang up my friends and my mom and all of them were in disbelief. Granted, if it hadn't have happened to me and someone was trying to explain the scenario to me,
Starting point is 00:38:40 I wouldn't have believed them either. But it did happen. My friends were baffled, my mom was dumbfounded, and I was in genuine shock. Nothing made sense. It still doesn't. My phone and ring completely vanished without a trace. My phone was disconnected from everything, and photos that I know were taken do not exist. Even on my friend's phones, there are no photos from that night.
Starting point is 00:39:10 Even the ones I'd zoomed in on of my ring to post to Facebook do not exist anymore. And I don't know what this was other than a glitch. I work for the biggest coffee shop chain in the world. You know the one I'm talking about. I work late afternoons and nights. We close at 9 p.m. every night, and this story took place around 8 p.m. just before Christmas. We have three people working in nights, since they tend to be slower. I was making all the drinks for customers.
Starting point is 00:39:54 My co-worker was running the drive-thru, taking orders and handing out drinks, and my supervisor was in the back room eating lunch. We all wear headsets, so that way we can hear customers' orders and communicate with each other. My supervisor wears her headset while on lunch or break, so that way she knows if we need help. We had a fair few customers in the business. drive-thru, maybe four or five in line. Every car is just ordering one or two drinks until one car orders five large hot chocolates.
Starting point is 00:40:27 I audibly groaned at this because it takes a while to make five drinks. My co-worker finished handing out the drinks to the car before the hot chocolate car and went to take the order of the next. He went back over to take the money of the hot chocolate car, but when he said the total, the people in the car at the window were totally confused. They had only ordered one drink. At this point, we were all confused. Neither me nor my co-worker saw the hot chocolate car drive away.
Starting point is 00:40:59 I confirmed with my coworker that he did indeed hear those hot chocolates being ordered and that I was not crazy. My supervisor wasn't really listening too well, and she did not hear the hot chocolates being ordered. I don't understand how someone could order five-document. drinks, not come to the window, and somehow drive off without either of us seeing them. There's no way to get out of the drive-thru line once you're in it, unless you back out. There were cars on either side of this person, so they were literally trapped with no way out. I keep thinking about this, and I cannot think of a logical answer, since they did not have
Starting point is 00:41:42 enough time to leave the drive after the car in front of them drove off. If any of you have a logical explanation, please let me know. I'm not sure if this is exactly a glitch in the matrix, but it's very strange and I want to know if anyone has experienced something similar. So this glitch happened when I was about four or five years old at a child's birthday pool party. I don't remember any of the day before my incident happened, so sorry, there's not much detail leading up to what happened. I was swimming in the shallow end because at the time I couldn't swim. I was in my own little world, but there were plenty of people around me. I decided to go to the deep end, and of course I was starting to drown. It felt like I was drowning for so long, and I couldn't tell which
Starting point is 00:42:47 direction was up. I remember all the little details that a four or five-year-old just would not remember. As I was drowning, I saw my nephew walk up to me. He was probably three years old at the time. I even remember I saw him because of his bright yellow sponge bob swim trunks. He saw what was happening and ran to get his mom, my sister. My sister ran and pulled me out. I was crying and remembering that pain in your throat when you swallow water down the wrong way.
Starting point is 00:43:22 As we were walking back to our seats, someone else was in the process of drowning. Turns out it was the birthday girl who was turning four. I saw her grandpa jumping in to save her. I don't remember the small things that happened for the next few minutes, unfortunately. But once my sister and I got back to our seats, my mom took her out to her car. I got my security blanket and my favorite stuffed animal at the time. That stuffed animal was a cow.
Starting point is 00:43:54 I would dress it up in different outfits almost daily, and I even remember the outfit it had had on that day. My cow was wearing a bright red-colored shirt and blue pants. After I got my things, my mom and I went back to the party, and I sat down, and that's all I remember from that. Fast forward, I'm now 17 years old, and I have had a really bad fear of water from then on,
Starting point is 00:44:23 and I just recently learned how to swim. Me and my mom are very open about things now that I'm older. She used to lie to me when I was younger to spare my feelings, but if I ask questions now, she's honest. I asked her about that day. she told me it never happened. I told her all the little details I remembered, and she still denied that it happened.
Starting point is 00:44:51 She told me it was only the birthday girl who almost drowned, and that her grandpa jumped in just like I remember it. I don't think it was a false memory because none of my false memories are that vivid. I eventually asked my nephew if he remembered it, and he doesn't remember either. I've always just considered that a false memory after my mom told me it didn't happen, but something just doesn't add up to me. After coming across your videos, I'm thinking it's one of those situations where you're meant to die, or you did, but after the incident, things just don't add up.
Starting point is 00:45:32 If I'm supposedly in a different reality, it would make sense that no one else remembers it happening, because it didn't happen in this reality. I'm also confused on the fact that the birthday girl got noticed and saved immediately, and I was drowning long enough for my nephew to walk all the way down to the deep end. I remember there being so many people around me, so how was that possible? I understand most of the attention was on the birthday girl, because it was her special day, but the deep end was mostly adults from what I remember. How could they not notice an out-of-place small child without floaties?
Starting point is 00:46:15 How did no one see me get into the pool and then immediately go under? Nothing about my story adds up, and I would love to hear if anyone had similar experiences. And thank you for listening to my story. This happened a few years back, when I worked for a fairly popular pizza place. The location I worked at was a bit strange, as it had a lobby with the full buffet for lunch, but dinner, it was only takeout in delivery, because the manager had decided that we didn't get enough business
Starting point is 00:46:59 for us to do table service in the evenings. I used to work the last shift, which was pretty much 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., but I would typically be there until midnight helping clean up the store. Those last couple hours were, for the most part, dead. When it came to business at the store, the nights were pretty much 99% deliveries and then 1% carryout. So after a certain point, I would help stock up supplies, do dishes, and then sit on my phone watching YouTube until we could do the closing tasks. On this night, I heard the door chime go off around 9.50.
Starting point is 00:47:40 So I got up from the seat in the back and headed up to the front of the store to see if it was a customer or a driver coming in the front door for whatever reason. As I round the corner, I see a man that is very noticeable, mostly because he looks like he's the important corporate type. He's wearing a nice suit jacket with a button-up shirt, but then also wearing jeans and what look like cowboy boots. Honestly, he stood out. People around here don't really wear boots like that,
Starting point is 00:48:12 because we're a fairly suburban area outside of a decently sized city. I made small talk and took his order, and he ordered two large pies, two orders of breadsticks, and a cinnamon dessert thing that we had, and then a few two liters of soda. It was a decently sized order, so I told him it would be about 20 or so minutes, but since he was the only customer order at the time,
Starting point is 00:48:40 it would probably be a bit less. We get the food put together. I make one of the pizzas and get the breadsticks in the first oven rack. The other cook gets everything else together, and we move through it pretty quickly. Once it's all done, I put it on the counter in front of the customer and open the boxes, and he says it all looks good. I ask him if he wants help carrying it all out because it is a lot of food, and he says that he can get it all.
Starting point is 00:49:08 He grabs the two boxes and the two bags with the other items and heads toward the door. I thank him and tell him to have a great night, and as soon as I hear the door chime, the other cook shouts at me that I forgot to bag the cinnamon dessert. I shout an expletive and grab the box that's in, and I immediately run to the door to get it to him. I want to mention that the time between the chime going off of him leaving the store and me grabbing that box, It was less than five seconds, and it was probably only another five to get to the door.
Starting point is 00:49:45 So there was no way for this guy to have gotten all of his food in his car, gotten in the car himself, gotten the car started, and then driven out of our parking lot. But he was literally nowhere to be found. There was only one exit to our lot, but there were no cars leaving. There were no cars parked. Nothing. This guy was nowhere to be seen. I noticed that one of our drivers was off to the side having a smoke break, and I asked him if he saw a guy walk out and described the customer.
Starting point is 00:50:22 He literally said that no one had walked out of the building for a while, and he'd been outside for about 15 minutes. I knew that this was accurate, because he'd asked if we needed help with the order that we were making for the guy, and when we told him that we had it, he told us he was going to take his break. I have no idea where the hell this guy could have gone. How he could have just vanished like this.
Starting point is 00:50:48 How he got out of the building and off the property that quickly. Unless he had some sort of teleportation power or something. But the poor guy never got his cinnamon roll thing that we made for him. And he never called to let us know that we forgot it. I do feel awful because it's seriously delicious, and he definitely missed out. But the Matrix decided to move him from this existence to another one, I guess. Okay, so this one is a shared experience with my best friend, which she remembers the same. To this day, I believe that this glitch saved our lives.
Starting point is 00:51:38 It's going to be longer, but worth it. We were walking in the midnight hours from one city to another, where I live, because the public transportation was already shut down. It was like a two-hour walk. At one point we were walking down the street, where on either side were family houses, which at least 50% of them had dogs sleeping in the garden. We were kind of terrified, as you can imagine, as the dogs went crazy, barking and everything. We were even joking that if one of the dogs escaped, we would be dead. Well, we're at the end of the street and suddenly notice something odd. There is this house with a pretty small fence, like 80 centimeters or something, and in the garden is a German shepherd.
Starting point is 00:52:30 Like, who the hell buys this dog with such a small fence? We discussed it, and we were both terrified that the dog would escape. As we came to the point where we have two options on how to continue, one longer path but with public lights, and one shorter, through the forest, where it was dark. We decided to take the longer and safer one when suddenly we hear pause on the ground. We froze. the German Shepherd was right behind us. He came, sniffed us, and went ahead a few meters, sat down and waited.
Starting point is 00:53:09 We were still terrified of what this strange dog who didn't know us would do to us, so we changed our minds and went straight to the forest. He came, sniffed us, and then went ahead to the forest, sat down, and waited. So we decided to take the first way with the streetlights. As you probably now know, the dog came, sniffed us, and then went a few meters, sat down and waited. We came to the conclusion that this dog was of no harm and went along to the original path. It was still the same scenario. Dog sniffed us, went ahead a few meters, and then waited for us to come.
Starting point is 00:53:47 Then again, then again. Until suddenly, out of nowhere appeared another dog. I believe that it was some kind of great day. mix. He was furious, aggressive, went right in front of us with his teeth out, growling. We wanted to go back,
Starting point is 00:54:07 but didn't want to turn our backs to the dog. Suddenly he jumped, with his teeth ready to bite us, and then our now dog friend came to the rescue. They fought. We cried terrified that one of the dogs would get hurt, but by some miracle nothing happens to either one of them.
Starting point is 00:54:26 The Great Dane just ran. away. That German Shepherd came with us all the way to my house. We gave him some food and water and he then disappeared, and we guessed went home. About a week later, we were still worried the dog may not have found his way home, so we came to check on him. The house wasn't there. The obnoxiously small fence wasn't there either, and there was no German Shepherd in the street. but if it wasn't for him, we would have either died or gotten injured by that Great Dane. So thank you, Matrix, for saving our lives. Hi, Raven.
Starting point is 00:55:16 I'm sharing my story only with you because I feel your narration style best suits would happen to me. Heads up, if I sound angry in telling my story, it's because I am. In short, quantum immortality sucks. I was in a terrible car crash in 1998, traveling the I-5 from San Diego to San Francisco. I hit something on the road that caused my car to flip and roll at 75 miles an hour. I hit a van in the process. The car eventually landed on its wheels, and I remember driving the car to the shoulder. I got out of the car and saw that the van I hit, had pulled to the shoulder,
Starting point is 00:56:01 and I went to see if the driver was okay. He was. The van driver was older than me. I was 28 then, and he would have well been into his 50s. But I remember him saying, You should be dead, son. This threw me off. He pointed to my car.
Starting point is 00:56:23 I looked and I saw a twisted, mangled wreck. Yet I was completely uninjured. The police arrived along. with an ambulance, I gave my statement and insurance information. The medics insisted I go to the hospital. I didn't want to because I felt fine. But they said that adrenaline and shock could hide injuries. So to be safe, I went. As I suspected, I was fine. Not a single broken bone, not even a bruise. But I remember things changing almost immediately when I returned to my college dorm. I was a Marine for 10 years, and I went to college right after that.
Starting point is 00:57:08 Being a Marine meant that I was broke, so I lived in a college dorm. I quickly became the big brother of the dorm, and everyone felt safe with a Marine in residence. But that's where it changed. I was well known in my dorm and was greeted by everyone. When I got back, no one talked to me. Okay, I thought. I threw it out of my mind and went about my usual routine. Within a week, I lost my scholarships and had to take out student loans,
Starting point is 00:57:42 which I did not want to do, but I was so close to completing my master's program. I had several job prospects lined up when I graduated, but those prospects dried up. But this was nothing compared to what would come. I'm a gay guy, and I have a fiancé. He was my soulmate. I proposed to him on the Golden Gate Bridge. We had our lives planned out together.
Starting point is 00:58:09 He was killed by a drunk driver when he went to visit his parents one weekend. He was a gifted athlete, and he was jogging. While jogging, a drunk driver took the intersection corner at over 80 miles per hour. He had a parked car, and that parked car flew off its wheels and hit my fiancé, killing him instantly. with him gone, no job prospects and no money, I returned home and had to live with my parents. When I returned home, things only got worse. My parents now hated me for joining the Marines and for being gay.
Starting point is 00:58:48 I came out to them when I was 14 back in 1984, when such things were still frowned upon, but my parents had no issues with it back then, and they were supportive of me. but now they hated it. I would get into physical fights with my parents because of it. I could not understand what was happening because I didn't have the vocabulary to express it.
Starting point is 00:59:13 I do now. This is not my world. I should have died in that accident. Maybe a version of me did. I wound up in this world and this world does not want me here. It seems as if this world knows that I don't believe. Hong here. I know people will ask, well, what's different?
Starting point is 00:59:35 Most things are the same. Many of the same movies, TV shows, music, etc., but things have happened very differently for me. For example, I'll meet people who said they were friends of mine in high school. I have no idea who these people are. And when they talk about high school, I have no memories of any of it. Over time, I realized that. the me here was a neat guy.
Starting point is 01:00:03 The former me was pretty popular and well-liked. More interestingly, the former me had girlfriends. That's a huge difference. There are more. You see, when I was in high school, I hated it. My school was one of the most racist institutions that I have ever known. I was not part of the dominant race there and was treated like trash because of it. I had no friends from my high school because I didn't give a car.
Starting point is 01:00:30 crap about anyone there. I didn't go to games or proms because I hated that school. But here, it was the opposite. Over time, I've had less contact with people from high school, yet I do sometimes get a message from someone from high school pop up on Facebook. I just ignore it now. Since coming to this reality, everything has been a struggle. I've had to struggle and fight for everything without much to show for it.
Starting point is 01:01:00 I've tried making friends and having relationships. Things would be fine for a couple of weeks, and then I would get ghosted, never knowing why. The longest relationship I've had since coming here has been three weeks. Eventually, I gave up on that. In my previous life, I had friends, a lot of them. I would go out, get invited to parties, go on trips, etc., but here there's nothing. I remember going on a date several years ago with a guy named Alex. I thought things were going well when he said,
Starting point is 01:01:36 there's something wrong with you. With me? I asked. He went on to say that he could not sense a soul in me. He said that I have no aura. Here's the thing. Years later, my brother would say the same thing. And some random guy who claimed to be a psychic approached me one day out of the the blue in a store and said the same thing.
Starting point is 01:02:01 He said, You lost your soul somewhere, didn't you? I think it was in that car crash back in 1998. Now, imagine what I just told you about my life happening every day for the next 24 years. Every day is a fight, a struggle to survive. Do you know what the most heartbreaking thing is? I'm not a Marine in this reality. I joined the Marines right out of high school.
Starting point is 01:02:30 I served my country, and I was proud of my service. Here, there's no record that I ever joined the military. The previous me here went into retail, apparently. I would never have done that. Years of service just gone. Ten years of my life that I can't talk to anyone about because it just never happened here. My father hated me until he died, and it seems my mother will do the same. These are not my parents.
Starting point is 01:03:02 Even though I've tried, I'm in my 50s and I've had no friends or relationships since I ended up here 24 years ago. I hate being in this reality, and this reality, it seems, hates me being here as well. Eventually, I would learn about quantum immortality and finally had the vocabulary. and the theoretical framework to understand what happened to me. I guess it was not my time to die in that car wreck, so I ended up here. Here in a reality that hates me being here. I also hate it. It's a rough existence for me here, and I'm quite exhausted.
Starting point is 01:03:44 I can't wait to die, to get some rest, and hopefully be reunited with my love again. I miss them every day I miss my friends I miss my family and my entire life my life wasn't perfect but it was still really good I had happiness fun beauty and love in my life I had a soul there I have none of that here
Starting point is 01:04:10 every day is a miserable slog to the grave for me no matter how hard I try to improve things this reality makes sure of that It wasn't my time to die in that car wreck. But every day here makes me really wish it was. Because quantum immortality really, really sucks. Hello, Raven. I've only recently discovered your channel via your podcast on Spotify.
Starting point is 01:04:50 And I've been really enjoying the glitch stories. They make my nighttime walks for exercise a lot easier and enjoyably spooky. I do believe that this is a real phenomenon, but I'm skeptical as to whether or not it's connected to the idea of a matrix or simulation. I suspect that there are just aspects to the nature of reality that we don't,
Starting point is 01:05:15 and likely never will, understand. But nobody came here to listen to me ramble. I have a handful of odd experiences that could fit in with this glitch phenomenon, none of these are earth-shattering, but they are odd enough that if you're paying attention for such things, you would notice. I've wondered if looking for glitches plays a part in experiencing them. Anyways. Story one, I tend to sleep very poorly, and often only sleep two or three hours at the most.
Starting point is 01:05:51 So that means that a lot of nights are awake doing something other than sleeping. A couple of years ago, I got into the habit of going out late at night to get something to eat and find a quiet place to sit and listen to scary stories, or to read. So that's what I was doing on this particular night. It was about three in the morning, and I was on my way back home, and, ironically enough, I'd been listening to Glitch in the Matrix stories on YouTube. I live in a small town, and I rarely enjoy it. encounter another person when I'm out late at night, and the roads are always empty.
Starting point is 01:06:32 So I was on the highway, and there wasn't another car anywhere near me. Suddenly, a bright yellow sports car comes roaring up behind me out of nowhere. I've never seen this car, and it was very conspicuous. Bright yellow, green stripes down the side, and it was just suddenly there behind me. The car pulls around me, and as it's passing me, I see the custom license plate. It just says glitch. I sat there with my mouth open and watched it drive into the distance. I haven't seen it since.
Starting point is 01:07:11 Story 2. We have two dogs and a cat, and all three of them get fed early in the morning at the same time. Each one of them has their own dish that is their specific place. place that no one else uses. So, one day, Zui's plate goes missing. We can't find it anywhere. It's not in the dishwasher,
Starting point is 01:07:35 not hidden under or behind anything, it's just gone. Now, Zui is a six-pound papillion, and this is a heavy glass plate, so she did not carry it off somewhere. We looked for this thing everywhere and could not find it. So, we ended up just getting Zui a new plate for her food. A couple of days later, that one goes missing too.
Starting point is 01:08:02 Same thing. No idea where it could possibly be. So, we got Zui a third plate. This one did not go missing, fortunately. However, a couple of weeks down the road, I was getting dishes out of the cabinet for dinner, and there was Zui's first plate. Now, I get dishes from there every day, and I put dishes there every day. It had not been in that spot earlier that day, and I would not have missed it.
Starting point is 01:08:34 Her plate also never gets put up there, even after it's been washed. It stays on the floor. I have no idea how it got up there, and the second one never turned up again, and I have no idea where it went. Story 3 A couple of years ago My mom came home from the grocery store A few days after Christmas With something that she had purchased on sale
Starting point is 01:08:58 Four tins of Christmas cookies There were four different colors Blue, green, red, and yellow Each with gold striping There was one for each of us And I picked the red one As red and gold are my colors Of the university I go to
Starting point is 01:09:16 I picked up the tin, and I carried it back to my chair and sat it down next to me. Then I sat down, and I picked it up to open it and to sample the cookies, but found that I was holding the yellow tin. I looked across the room, and sure enough, the red tin was still on the table. I stared at it with wide eyes and an opened mouth. I had 100% picked up the red tin. The yellow tin hadn't even been next to it. There's no way that I could have made that mistake.
Starting point is 01:09:52 I put the yellow one back and got the red one, but I felt really odd about it. They weren't even remotely similar in color. And thank you again for reading my stories, and I hope you have a great day. Again, not earth-shattering or life-changing, but that seems to be the case with these kind of things. In spring of 2022, my partner and I found ourselves packing up our apartments to move into a new place. I found out I was pregnant, so we decided that we needed more room. So we worked with the rental office to move to a new unit on the property without causing lease problems. I want to say that the apartment that we lived in was a bit odd.
Starting point is 01:10:49 Not like haunted, but it seems to be. It seemed like it was the place for weird things to happen for us. Small glitches here and there, but nothing really worth talking about. With only one exception, the one that this story is about. We were mostly packed and ready to move to the new location, but we're still having to sleep at the old place until the property told us that we could make the move. One night, I was jerked out of a deep sleep by what sounds. sounded like music coming from the kitchen.
Starting point is 01:11:25 Our apartment was pretty small. It was just the kitchen, living room, bedroom, and bathroom. All pretty well crammed into a small cube. I sat up and looked over at my clock, and it was 3.30 a.m. Confused and annoyed, I got up to try and figure out where the hell the music was coming from when it clicked in my head that the song was Believer. by Imagine Dragons.
Starting point is 01:11:55 This may not seem too weird. It's a fairly popular song, but for me it was really strange. This song was a song that I used as an alarm on my prior phone, and the alarm was always set for 3.30 p.m. So to have it going off somewhere in my apartment at 3.30 in the morning was incredibly strange. Now, again, you could say that maybe it was just my alarm going off on the phone, but that phone was in the end table of our bedroom, and it had been dead for a solid year and a half since the day that I got my newer phone. I walked into the kitchen, and I for sure heard the song playing, albeit muffled. I stood there, trying to pinpoint the direction from where this music.
Starting point is 01:12:50 was coming from. It was close enough that it was in the room. There was no way that it was coming from another apartment connected to ours, and just coming through the walls. I stepped toward the cabinet to listen, and after a bit of deduction, I was able to determine that the sound was coming from the cabinet above the fridge. I grabbed the step-ladder from the hall closet, pulled it into the kitchen, and set it up in front of the fridge to get into that cabinet, and to see what was playing that song.
Starting point is 01:13:25 I reached for the cabinet and pulled the door open, and the second that I pulled the door opened, the music just stopped. The cabinets were completely empty, as we had already packed up the kitchen, so there was nothing even in there that could have played the music. I want to also mention that, in the time that it took for all this, to play out, this song had looped through at least once, and almost all the way through a second time. So this wasn't just someone playing the song. It was definitely something like an alarm on a phone going off.
Starting point is 01:14:05 I shut the cabinet, half expecting the music to play again, but it didn't. After this, I went back to the bedroom, opened the nightstand to see if maybe the phone had gone off somehow, but I pushed the power button and it was so dead that I couldn't even get the battery dead screen. I plugged it in for a moment and it definitely said zero percent as it started charging. I tossed it back in the drawer and went back to sleep and that was that. I know that this wasn't a super crazy glitch, but it was so weird to me. And I can't explain it. I'm certain that it wasn't a wasn't a very strange.
Starting point is 01:14:47 from the apartment above us. The room that shares the wall with our kitchen is our restroom. So it's not like it was coming from another unit in that direction. On top of that, the fact that it stopped the second that I would have found the source, that's the one thing that actually scares me. It was like I wasn't allowed to see it. Like this was some sort of glitch that I wasn't allowed to solve. So, we didn't.
Starting point is 01:15:19 I left it alone. I never got answers, and we moved out of that apartment within the next couple of days. That's my glitch. I hope that you enjoyed it, and if anyone can explain, well, I guess I'll just say, make me a believer. On Thursday night, I saw something unexplainable, and it has greatly disturbed me. I shared this with my mom, my friend, my fiancée, but I don't believe anyone else would really believe me, or care.
Starting point is 01:16:01 So we'll share it with you guys, as I've been reading this subreddit since its inception. This was really weird. I saw it with my own two eyes, out of nowhere, and it didn't seem paranormal at all. I have had other paranormal experiences. This did not resemble them. I was not under the influence of drugs. it was just like a glitch in a video game program. I also have never heard of anything like this,
Starting point is 01:16:31 so please do feel free to share if you have any ideas. I was lying in bed scrolling social media on my phone. I'll provide a sketched image of the room's arrangements and what I could see from my point of view on the bed. In the corner of the room, and out of the corner of my eye, I saw the movement of a gray object. It moved down the corner of my room, and the movement turned my head instinctually. When I turned my head, I saw something that I hesitate to describe because it didn't make sense,
Starting point is 01:17:08 and I had never seen anything like it before. Think Lovecraftian confusion and disorientation, but without the horror element. It was like a gray smudge out of the fabric of reality. It moved like an orb, weightless in the space between my bed and the wall, but it was not spherical and was rather blob-like. It was neither entirely translucent nor entirely opaque. The center of it was an opaque-like gray, while the edges of the object were a darker and more translucent gray. It seemed like what it would look like if someone took their thumb and smudged ashes onto the world. It moved quickly from the top corner of my room to the middle of the room near me,
Starting point is 01:17:58 where I locked my eyes on it before it quickly swooped around the corner and into my closet. I know that that doesn't seem crazy compared to some experiences, but imagine seeing something like this just appear when you least expect it, zip around your room and then disappear into your closet. I immediately froze up. It was as though my blood ran cold. and I began to shiver uncontrollably. Unable to move from my bed because I was completely frozen in shock
Starting point is 01:18:30 and confused about whether I could potentially be in danger or elsewise be going crazy, having a stroke. I called my mom and broke down until she talked me into being able to get up, turn on the main lights in my room, and run out. Later, I came back to inspect the closet, and of course there was nothing in there. But this leads to some interesting questions. I've obviously been thinking a lot about this since it happened. This weird blob or smudge zipped from the top corner of my room and swung around into my closet.
Starting point is 01:19:09 If the thing were not sentient, why would it go into the closet? If the thing were just some sort of extra-dimensional mass of energy, would it not go through the wall to get into my closet and not through the door? If it were a migraine aura, it shouldn't swoop around the room, but instead remains stationary in my field of vision. I have been thinking of alternative explanations. It could not have been a shadow. First, because it did not look like a shadow. It very clearly was airborne and not cast onto the wall.
Starting point is 01:19:45 Second, there is one window in my room, but it opens into a concrete wall. A beautiful view. And no light ever comes in my window. This was at night. Thus, there couldn't have been headlights or anything casting a shadow. I have one lamp in my room that was casting light onto the opposite wall. The lamp was in my field of vision and nothing else moved to cast a shadow to my knowledge. I also do not visually hallucinate.
Starting point is 01:20:16 I've only ever seen one other unexplainable thing in my life, hearing and sensing and feeling and smelling or another story, and it was in the woods. And I felt the same unexplainable sense of fear and shock, where you hear in your brain clearly reverberating, this cannot have happened. After the experience, it could have been shock, but I felt full of energy and could not stop shaking.
Starting point is 01:20:47 Another aside, this is not carbon monoxide poisoning, We have sensors and we've lived here for a year, and I haven't had anything like this happened before at this place. Anyways, I'm not used to posting things like this, so this is pretty vulnerable for me, but I absolutely encourage alternative explanations or similar experiences if anyone would like to share, or to point me in the direction where I might learn more, because I can't stop thinking about it. This is on the spiritual side instead of a glitch. Or maybe it is a glitch, but I think it's spiritual. I just know the more I know, the less I know.
Starting point is 01:21:41 This is something to this day that I remember vividly. It happened to me when I was 13 or 14 years of age, and I'm 30 today. I've always thought that my auntie was a witch, and one night she proved me right. Quick backstory. I've always been a sensitive kid when I was young. I could feel others' energies and intentions, which was great because it kept me out of trouble most of the time. But it also made me a loner and the weird kid of the family.
Starting point is 01:22:18 I'm the black sheep, so to speak. I can feel for others, but never relates to them. I've always felt like an outsider, even at home, I've had so many weird experiences that many cannot make sense of, but today I've learned to embrace it all and got used to my encounters. Now, back to the witchy aunt. One night, I decided to stay over at her place, and during the night I woke up thirsty and was heading to the scullery, a second small kitchen. It was upstairs, and I was going for a quick drink of water. Now, I was sleeping in her daughter's room, which is located in the middle of a long hallway.
Starting point is 01:23:05 Exiting the room, the scullery is on the left, and facing the room is her brother's bedroom. And on the right side of the room is my aunt's master bedroom. I leave her daughter's bedroom and head left. I get to the water tank, eyes half open, but I noticed there was someone else in the scullery with me. It was my auntie facing the sink, running the water, and seeming to be washing glasses or something of that sort as she was blocking my view. I couldn't see it for certain. Side note, my aunt is rich and has three maids that help her around the house.
Starting point is 01:23:44 I've never seen her wash anything, ever, let alone in the middle of the night washing dishes. As I stare at her confused and half asleep, I voiced my confusion and ask her, "'Aha, what are you doing washing dishes at this time of night?' She turned slowly my way to look at me. No, she stared into my soul for what felt like forever. I felt my heart stopped beating for a second. I froze in place.
Starting point is 01:24:15 It was her, but also not her. After the staring, she turned back slowly to what she was doing without speaking a word, nor replying to me. I felt I could move my legs again, so I just brushed it off, as I've always known her to be weird. I headed out, sipping water, and rationalized why she was the way that she was. On my way back to her daughter's bedroom, I see my auntie leaving her master bedroom, which is in the opposite end of the hallway. I froze in place for a few seconds, and she looked at me confused. Then, all of a sudden, I felt my body shut down and I passed out.
Starting point is 01:25:01 I woke up on the floor in her arms with her saying prayers over me and a wet cloth over my forehead. She kept asking me what happened, and I gathered my strength to speak. I said shakily, I saw you twice. You were in the kitchen, and then again leaving your bedroom. She smirked and said, Oh yeah, that's just my helper. For a second, I was glad that she validated what I'd seen, but on the other hand, she creeped me out even more.
Starting point is 01:25:36 It seemed like she's used to whatever that entity was. I believe she's a witch, but maybe she was more. Maybe she was able to teleport or astral project like some believe. All in all, that was the last time that I saw her, and I've kept my distance ever since. When I was in college in the early 2000s, I drove this small two-door hatchback car from the 70s. When I say small, I mean the front was two bucket seats with only the emergency break in between. With the exception of a wee glove compartment, there was no storage. No backseat pouches, not even a cup holder.
Starting point is 01:26:30 So, one day I'm getting in the car, and I have this makeup bag. I couldn't tell you where I was going or what I was doing, honestly. I'm not really a makeup person, so bringing the bag with me was unusual in the first place. But I do know that I had the makeup bag, until I didn't. When I reached my destination, it was nowhere to be found. I searched that car multiple times for that bag that evening. Again, the car was small, so there weren't really many places to hide, especially considering the bag is roughly half the size of a loaf of bread. And the entire interior of the car is black, while the bag was quite colorful.
Starting point is 01:27:17 I looked under the front seats and in the floor. The back seat is solid, one bench seat with no gap underneath. It's not there. I go so far as to look in the hatch just in case I understand. knowingly threw it over the back seat. No luck. I look in the spare tire compartment. At this point, I'm pretty sure I'm losing my mind.
Starting point is 01:27:41 Over the next few months, I returned to the car to check and recheck for the bag. I go so far as to detailing the entire interior of the car, vacuuming everything and cleaning even the tiniest spaces with a cue tip. even places that I knew the bag could not be, like under the floor mat. I looked. It was gone. I convinced myself that it must have fallen onto the floorboard and out of the car while I was getting gas. Fast forward a year later, I stopped to get gas. In my memory, this is the same gas station that I stopped at on the day that I lost the bag,
Starting point is 01:28:24 but this was long enough that I can't be. be sure. And I'm standing at the rear of the car by the gas tank. I happen to look in the small window to the back seat, and I noticed something sitting on the rear floorboard. When I enter the car to investigate, I find the makeup bag. It's just sitting there all alone, out in the open, perfectly visible, just like it had been there all along. I have no explanation. I have no explanation. for how this happened, and I've only told a couple of people about this because I know no one would believe me, because I lose things all the time. This happened sometime in August of 2021.
Starting point is 01:29:20 I had two Xbox controllers, a blue one and a white one, and I sit the white controller on my neatly made bed, and I climb into the bed to get comfortable. I get under the covers and notice the controller is gone. So I pat the bed down, but I'm not feeling it at all. I literally start removing the covers off of my bed, and I still don't see anything. I even move the bed away from the wall to see if it fell, even though I know it didn't because I would have heard it fall on the floor, because it's a hard floor.
Starting point is 01:29:57 Also, the controller had a rattle sound in it. I lived in a small dorm room at the time with my sister, and she was in her bed when the same. happened. So I asked her if she'd seen the controller and she says no. I go the rest of the day without seeing it and I'm really upset at this point because I know this isn't normal. It should have been where I left it. I ended up buying a new controller online because I know I didn't lose the controller like I normally lose stuff. I sent the controller to my grandparents' house so I would get it on the weekend when I visited. As this was happening,
Starting point is 01:30:36 my friend lost her laptop charger. And that was really weird because she usually keeps it in one spot. In her side of the room was usually neat. And she keeps it in a drawer. The charger wasn't anywhere to be seen. Me, my sister and our friend, were looking high and low for this charger and we could not find it. Until a couple of days later when she bought a new charger. She then ended up finding her old charger in the drawer.
Starting point is 01:31:06 that she usually keeps it in. We all thought that was weird, and it made me think about the controller that I couldn't find. Now, back to the controller. I received my new controller that I bought online, and it wasn't good at all. It was super cheap, and it wouldn't connect to the Xbox at all,
Starting point is 01:31:28 so I ended up asking my grandpa for a new one, and he said he would get it, and it was no problem. So, the next day, I get the controller from my grandpa, and it works normally. Then we go back to our college on Sunday, and we start to unpack our duffel bags from our trip to our grandparents' house, and my sister calls me over to look at her bag. And when I do, the white controller that went missing was in her bag. None of us put it there.
Starting point is 01:31:58 And I was nearly tearing up because I was so surprised and freaked out. My sister and I were speechless. Nothing like this has ever happened before, and my sister usually keeps her duffel bag in the closet and only takes it out when she's leaving to go home. And I know that she did not put the controller in there. We have three working controllers now. I don't know why that happened, and it was super freaky. But thank you for reading. And please do tell me if something similar has happened to you.
Starting point is 01:32:33 My mother owns a blue and white tote bag. It's very sturdy, and she uses it to carry all of her medical files when she goes to any medical appointment. She lent it to me, since I had to hand over all eight of my scholar books, as I'm graduating high school. Since the bag is sturdy, it was able to carry all of my heavy books. I remember handing them over to a guy scanning them to make sure that I hadn't lost any. of the books, putting the blue and white-toed bag inside of my backpack and joining my friends. I recall this action very clearly. I go home in the evening and my mother asks me to give back the bag.
Starting point is 01:33:28 It is nowhere to be found. I tell my mom that I remembered putting it inside of my backpack, but since I'm rather scatterbrained and often lose my stuff, I once even lost my ID, she brushes it off and asks me to find it the next day. I don't want to disappoint her, so the next day a friend of mine and I go in the room where I handed my books in, my usual classrooms, the yard, and we even ask the receptionist about their lost object section,
Starting point is 01:34:02 and we don't find it. Quite defeated, I tell my mom that it is lost for real, that it must have slipped out of it. of my backpack in the street or something, as it's nowhere to be found. This morning, as I went into the schoolyard, my jaw dropped at the side of the tote bag right there, on a bench table. I was with the same friend, and we were both flabbergasted. How did this bag stay on the bench for three days without anyone taking it for themselves, or handing it in to the found object section? And most importantly,
Starting point is 01:34:40 How on earth did my friend and I miss it while looking for it, when it was in such a visible spot? Hi, Raven. I love your videos. I've been listening for a couple of years now, and I'm glad that I finally have the chance to tell you that you've been a big help to my insomnia. And keep up the good work. Well, thank you. Now, on to the story. I grew up in the middle of nowhere in the state of New York.
Starting point is 01:35:19 I specify state so that there's no confusion with New York City. There's only farmland nearby with very small towns. My graduating class had about 80 students, and my girlfriends had about 40. One summer, a couple of friends of mine, my girlfriend and I decided to stay at my girlfriend's childhood home to get away from our college apartment. We got bored, however, very quickly, and started looking for things that we could do. When my girlfriend mentioned that there's a famous haunted house not far from where she lived, it was about a 10-minute drive, so we decided that it would be fun to go and check it out. It was around 2 a.m. when we decided this, so keep that in mind when considering the following events.
Starting point is 01:36:12 When we arrived at the house, there was a long, gravel driveway. And before we could make it all the way up to the house, we were stopped by two state police officers. Not local police or county sheriffs, but state officers. Which is unusual to say the least. I can't remember exactly how the interaction went, as I was sitting in the back seat and didn't catch everything that was said.
Starting point is 01:36:42 But I remember that it wasn't your usual... License and registration conversation. The police officers were giddy and acting unusual. They told us that there were camera crews shooting at the house and that we had to leave. But we could clearly see that there was no activity at the house from where we were. Anyways, we left, and on the way back the driver had noticed
Starting point is 01:37:10 that she couldn't find her registration anywhere. We all looked in the car while she'd. drove and nothing. The next morning, we tore the car apart looking, and nothing. Then, suddenly, two weeks later, we got pulled over again on our way to go camping. There it was, right in her glove box. For lack of a better word, this was one of my more weird and memorable moments of my life, and I'll never forget the chills down my spine when I saw that piece of pain.
Starting point is 01:37:45 I literally just experienced what I would consider to be my first glitch in the Matrix, and I'm at a genuine loss for words. I've read a lot of glitch stories over the past few months, and I've been listening to podcasts on glitches and all of that, but I never personally thought I would experience anything that could be considered a glitch. Of course, that'll change pretty quickly, and of course it involved my cats. because cats can pretty much do whatever they want on every plane of existence.
Starting point is 01:38:30 I was in the kitchen making dinner for myself and my son, and I had to pause to watch something, which required me to turn away from the stove and go to the sink. The way the kitchen is laid out, the stove is just opposite the sink, and the sink has a large window over it that looks out into the back porch. And our back porch is covered with a door. because the whole porch is like this, we let our cat, Prince, out onto the porch, because he can go out and watch the yard, but can't actually get out. Anyways, I look out the window while I'm washing whatever it was, and I see Prince sitting on the patio table, just staring out at nothing in particular.
Starting point is 01:39:18 I remember thinking that he looked incredibly regal, because the sun was setting and it was reflecting off of his table. shiny black fur as he watched over his territory. I finished washing the dish and go back to finishing up dinner. After a couple minutes, I head over to the living room where my son is playing Minecraft on his Xbox, and I tell him that dinner is ready. He protested it a bit because he was having fun, but he eventually gives in and says okay and shuts it off. I get his plate ready and get him at the dinner table.
Starting point is 01:39:54 and then turn to make my own food. As soon as I turned back to the kitchen to get my own food, I am met with the softest of meows, and a shiny black cat sitting on the counter staring at me, expecting some of our food. I was taken aback at this. This was literally impossible. The door was shut.
Starting point is 01:40:19 There was no other way in. There's only the two of us living here, myself and my son. he was busy on Minecraft and when he gets into it it's impossible to pull him away from it so there's no way that he let Prince in I didn't let him in because I was making the food and it's just
Starting point is 01:40:39 the two of us for a moment I thought that it could have been another cat but it was definitely Prince's shiny black fur and blue collar that was in front of the window so in the end I have literally no clue how he got into the house like he did
Starting point is 01:40:57 without either of us letting him in. My guess is that he smelled dinner and was like, well, time to just phase through the wall and get my food. And bam, there he was. I was just left confused but accepting of the fact that a hungry cat has the ability to do things that we humans could literally never understand. Long time, listener. first-time submitter, mostly because the glitches I've experienced have always been minor,
Starting point is 01:41:39 or just basic inconveniences. I have a few situations where things have disappeared and reappeared in random places, and I have a few things in my past where things seem to have changed from what I remember to something completely opposite. But, for the most part, I like to believe that these could just be a false memory, or weird coincidences. I've always loved listening to glitch stories, but I've never been one to really take them to be absolute truths. I'm not saying that people are lying. I just want to look for that logical explanation. That said, I don't have a logical explanation for what happened to me,
Starting point is 01:42:23 and because of that, I'm going to look at these with more of an open mind. This happened about two weeks ago, My boyfriend and I decided that we wanted to go for a walk around our area, and there's a walking path that actually goes around a significant portion of our small town. It's hard to explain, but it's basically like they built a walking path to encircle the entire town, but it breaks off into a number of small streets and sidewalks, so it is super convenient. We decided that we should take the path to the south and see where it took us, because we knew that in that direction there was a small park, and we assumed that it went that way.
Starting point is 01:43:08 We started walking on the path in about 15 minutes into the walk. There was what is basically a walking tunnel that goes under a main street next to a spill creek. It was a bit later in the evening, so yeah, it was a bit creepy, but there were lights and we were already headed that way, so I wasn't going to say that we shouldn't go through. it. As we got into the tunnel, I noticed that it was super quiet inside of it, which I thought was kind of weird. With it being a concrete tunnel, you would think that the sounds would be echoy and the road noise above would be amplified. But it was seriously just silent and still.
Starting point is 01:43:52 The tunnel itself was probably a couple hundred feet in length, so it's not like it was huge or anything. We walked in and after a few moments, something just felt really off. Kind of like my anxiety was hitting me in the face really hard, but there was nothing about it that I should have been scared of. I turned to tell my boyfriend that I wasn't feeling great about pressing on, and I thought that we should go ahead and head home, and before I could say anything, something else cut me off. I say something and not someone for a reason. The voice that responded did not sound human.
Starting point is 01:44:35 The inflection was super robotic and monotone, almost like a Siri or an Alexa voice. It sounded like it was trying to be human but couldn't quite make it work. I remember exactly what it said, too. It said in its creepy straight tone, you should go home. Hannah. Hannah is obviously my name, and it seriously made my skin crawl, because what the hell was that? My boyfriend and I both have Android, so it wasn't Siri, and neither of us has the Alexa app on our phone. I know that we have the Google Assistant, but it makes a dinging noise whenever you set it off,
Starting point is 01:45:19 and the voice didn't really sound like it was coming from our phones. It sounded like it was coming from the tunnel. There were no places where someone could have hidden a speaker. Neither of us had our phones out or the sound on. And no one else was in the tunnel with us. It was just us walking. Aside from that, even if some random person was playing a prank, how would they have known to have it say that we should go home
Starting point is 01:45:47 when I hadn't even gotten the words out? And how would they have known my name? I asked my boyfriend if he heard what I heard and he said that he did, and we both decided that we needed to go ahead and go home instead of going to the park. The next time that we walked that way, I didn't get that same nervous feeling about the tunnel. It was perfectly fine. As we walked through, I looked around the tunnel for like a grate or a vent or something where someone could have hidden something for a prank,
Starting point is 01:46:19 and there weren't any places that would work. There weren't any speakers in the walls, and there wouldn't be any reason for them to be there anyways. This was just a walking tunnel. We were lucky that there were a few lights in the ceiling as it is. I have no idea what told me I needed to leave. I have no idea why it told me I needed to leave. But I'm glad that I listened to it, I guess.
Starting point is 01:46:46 Whatever it was, I want to believe, that it saved me from something, and if I hadn't listened to it, something bad could have happened. So, I guess I just wanted to put this story out here as a way to show my gratitude to the Matrix. This happened about a month ago, and it made me question reality as a whole. I live in a three-story flat with my family. We rent out the third floor to an old Japanese couple, and they usually give us gifts and food every now. and then. A month ago, they gave us a box of those fancy expensive chocolate sets. I remembered opening up the box, in the kitchen, and I saw that there were nine packages of chocolate
Starting point is 01:47:41 inside. The colors of wrappings were white, pink, and blue. I remembered spending at least two to three minutes to pick which one I wanted to eat. For me, I always associate the designs and colors of the wrappings slash packages to the flavor of the goodies inside. So I decided to pick the pink one because I thought the chocolate inside would taste better than the ones with the white or blue wrappings. I picked the pink one out of the box and placed it on the kitchen table. Then my mom called me from the living room to ask me to bring her a cup of tea. I did, and that was when the strangest thing happened.
Starting point is 01:48:23 When I came back to the kitchen, the chocolate. that I picked out from the box, was white. I thought maybe I picked the wrong one, but when I opened the box, I saw that they were all white. No pinks, no blues, just whites. It was impossible because I remembered spending at least a few minutes to pick which color I wanted to eat. And, FYI, I'm not colorblind either, so I have no idea how this could have happened. I freaked out. and I didn't end up eating the chocolate.
Starting point is 01:48:59 I always hear people talking about Glitch in the Matrix stories, and now it's happened to me. First, I would like to tell you that I like the calmness in which you narrate mind-blowing stories while everyone around you is jaw-dropped, and I know your style. It's like I see myself sharing happenings with people that would let most of them with emotional scars, and I'm just being casual me. Like I'm talking about normal random things in my life that for someone else would either break their perception of reality or call it a hoax or a bedtime story. Well, as you guessed it, me being here means that I witnessed a lot of malfunctions and weird things happening in the Matrix. Paranormal stuff.
Starting point is 01:49:55 Time dilation, minor teleportations, you name it. Honestly, most of the people that I talk to about the things that have happened. happen to me, or around me, seem intrigued. And I believe that only a small percentage can experience things like this. Or just everyone experiences them, but somehow they are erased from their memory. Maybe someday I'll start to write in a notebook about the weird stuff I still remember, and start to share them with you. But for now, I will tell you only this one that's irked me a lot.
Starting point is 01:50:32 When I was little, I came home from school and the front gate of my yard was locked, and I never had a key because my parents would rarely lock the gate, since we had a big dog for protection. When this happened, I always jumped the fence. But this time after I climbed on top of the fence, I was preparing to make the jump on the ground when somehow I fell. To add some details, inside the garden we had another, iron razor spiked fence.
Starting point is 01:51:05 The spires looked like sharp lances, and somehow I fell with my knee exactly on them, and after I landed again in my knees on the floor. I felt like I fell on a hard object, when my kneecap hit the sharp fence, and after I fell again dropping to my knees on the hard ground. I had a few bruises, and my knees hurt a little bit, but no cuts or anything. To me, at that moment and at that age, it seemed normal, and I was glad that everything was all right. After a period of time, it would come to me. How did I manage to escape such a tragedy?
Starting point is 01:51:48 Because normally, the sharp lances would have penetrated my knees when falling upon them, and most likely from that angle, would have completely cut off my legs. I played this scenario a lot in my mind, and I tried to get a normal explanation for what happened. But every time, I get very anxious and afraid and try to think about something else. After all this time, I realized that I should be in a wheelchair, but somehow I managed to slip that harsh reality to a better one. I just wonder, did I somehow change it?
Starting point is 01:52:28 or did the crippled me from the future somehow managed to tamper with the wheels of reality and time. I couldn't give you a specific date, but the three of us would have been about 19 years old. I remember that I already had a driving license and what car I had. I estimate that it will be about 15 years ago, 2008, maybe 2007. Well, the three of us were in the same. the building lobby of one of my friends. At that time, we often met in that lobby to talk before going out to party. We didn't have a penny, and I think it was winter, so instead of drinking in the street
Starting point is 01:53:22 or something like that, we were there for a few hours, and then sometimes we went out, and sometimes we didn't. The lobby in question was one of those where there is a doorman during the day, and which has two or three sofas. We were on two of them, my friends to my right on a large sofa, and I in an armchair. We stayed there for hours, so we used to be barefoot, as if we were in our living room. At that time, from time to time, we were quite rude, and we ended up talking about some deep crap, as if at that age you had a freaking idea of what life was about. That day we started talking about the afterlife, parallel universes and stuff like that.
Starting point is 01:54:11 One day it was that, another day politics, or whatever. The fact is that, at some point, when we had been talking about these topics for about two to three hours, my two friends jumped off the couch at the same time and began to run towards the exit onto the street. halfway, there would be about 10 to 15 meters to the door, seeing that I didn't understand anything of what was happening. They told me something like, come on, bro, let's get out of here. They scared me, and there we were, the three of us on the streets, barefoot, in a busy neighborhood in the north of a big city, and me without an understanding of anything at all.
Starting point is 01:54:58 It took about five seconds, but it seemed like a lifetime to me. The fact is that once on the street, I asked them what the hell was going on. They were both very scared, telling me that someone had hit the couch where they were sitting, and that as soon as they felt it they had that reaction. I hadn't heard anything, but they were both describing the same thing to me and were quite scared. To clarify that in the lobby, obviously there was absolutely no one other than us, and no way for someone to have entered without us realizing it. Furthermore, that sofa was almost attached to a wall, so it was absolutely impossible for anyone to have hit this sofa. No way.
Starting point is 01:55:52 At this point, once on the street, we turned out onto the main street. Let me explain. The doorway opened onto some small private gardens, and out of fear, I suppose, we decided to go out onto the sidewalk of the main street. We were still in shock. One of my friends and I were sitting on a small wall, and the other was standing with his back to us. The two of us who were sitting looked to the left and saw a girl. She was walking to us very close, like very, very, very. very close. She was by the wall, the rest of the sidewalk was empty. She walked quite very slowly,
Starting point is 01:56:37 and was extremely thin. She was dressed like she was going out for a party, but in a very strange way. The fact is that she crossed in front of us, perpendicular, and she continued downstairs. The friend who was standing turned to look at her as well when she reached her level. The girl began to go down four to five stairs, and halfway through, she stopped. She neither turned around nor took anything out of a bag. Nothing. She then continued walking a few meters. At that time, just 10 to 15 meters from where we were, there was a fairly known restaurant and pub,
Starting point is 01:57:19 and that stretch of sidewalk was about 8 to 10 meters wide. It was packed with people. Either you get into the crowd, or you have to change the sidewalk to pass. The girl began to go among those people, and no one looked at her nor interacted with her in any way. At one point we lost sight of her. I'm talking about a very short distance, and we were somewhat elevated, and we saw perfect from there. My colleague, the one who was sitting, looked at me and said, if she turned around, I think I would have had a heart attack.
Starting point is 01:57:56 In those seconds that the whole situation lasted, we had not had any time referred to the girl among ourselves. But the three of us were clear. That made no sense. I say three, because the one who was standing, the first thing he said to us was, what the hell was that? After this, we decided to return to the building lobby, and in the gardens, we heard three quite loud doors slamming, but not all three at once. First one, then the others.
Starting point is 01:58:30 And then another. Only one of us heard each of them. I don't remember in what order, and we only verbalized it after the third. The three of us referred to the noise as a car door slamming, but at a crazy volume. All of the time that I have described to you, from the sofa to this last thing,
Starting point is 01:58:51 it would not have been more than four to five minutes. I know it doesn't make any freaking sense, but that's what we experienced that day. Clarify that none of us were drunk or drugged in any way, nor had any of us three had any strange experiences before or after that. We've talked about it two to three times since then. It's been years since, and we just don't talk about it. And honestly, we have no idea what happened. one of them is convinced that something strange happened the other has no idea and honestly I think there must be some sort of explanation
Starting point is 01:59:30 one of them the one that lived in that building later told us that a few days before one of his neighbors had died and that he was convinced that the elevator one of those that has no memory and does not return to the first floor if nobody pushes the button had gone down to the lobby a couple of times during the night without any neighbors coming in. It was to my back, so I can't tell you anything about that. But maybe you have some sort of theory, and I'd be more than glad to read it.
Starting point is 02:00:04 We've only told this once at dinner with quite a few people, and the truth is that no one understood what the hell had happened to us that night. I have experienced countless glitches over my lifespan, and I've always wanted to understand. I believe that in this version of reality there are many mysteries that simply cannot be explained, and so I've stopped trying to get to the source. I have a lot of stories with no good explanations other than ghosts. The story does not involve a ghost, but a glitch.
Starting point is 02:00:53 Recently, while listening to your channel, I had a flashback to this glitch that I want to share. I say flashback, because it's really not a pleasant memory. This glitch repeated several times over the period of a month and became so distressing that I moved out of the house where it was happening. I've seen a lot of spooky events in my life, but this one still gives me the chills. This happened back in the day before cell phones in 1991. I liked to collect old rotary phones from the 1960s, which I would get at a thrift store for $2.
Starting point is 02:01:33 For anyone who isn't familiar with the ring, then just go to YouTube and search old rotary phone. I actually just now listened to a video of an old phone ringing and it put me right back into this glitch. I was living alone in an old wood frame one-bedroom house in Austin that had been built in the 1920s. I hate being alone at night, and I especially did not.
Starting point is 02:01:59 like being alone in that house. I worked late shifts at the psychiatric hospital and would get home after midnight. My job was disturbing and my commute was scary too. When I would get home, I would call up friends and invite them over because the damned house was so spooky. I would lie in bed with my phone close by just hoping for a call. Sometimes a friend or a date would visit, but most nights I was alone, because I didn't have a roommate and my girlfriend lived across town. One warm late night, I heard a phone ring once from what I thought was the other room. I only had one phone connected, but this ring sounded exactly like my phone, which had a very loud and distinctive ring.
Starting point is 02:02:49 I grabbed the receiver desperate to hear a friend, but there was only a dial tone. I knew that it was not my phone that had wrong, but there was no other phone in the house which was connected. Had I managed to fall asleep and then dreamed of a phone ringing? Well, now I was wide awake at 3 in the morning, and I hated being awake at that time. I was lying in bed, and then I heard the ring again. Just one ring. It was from across the room, and I still tried to answer my phone, which was in the bed with me.
Starting point is 02:03:25 No answer, only a dial tone. I was awake at this time, and I felt like the ring was coming from under the house. I had never been under the house, but I knew there was a small crawl space to get to the pipes under the floor. I didn't even know how to access the crawl space, but I went outside anyways. I thought that I was losing my mind looking around the house for a rotary phone lying in the ground. So this is how I lose my mind. I was looking for a five-pound rotary phone that I thought I would find in the grass. It was too dark, and I was feeling very afraid of a ghost, so I went back inside and sat with my phone.
Starting point is 02:04:10 I finally calmed down and started to feel sleepy again. I comforted myself by asking, what is so scary about a phone? Then I heard the ring again, and this time I was absolutely sure that it came from under the house. The ring was so loud that there was no way I could get back to sleep. The next morning I stuck my head under the house, but there were no wires or phone. There was just dirt, spiders, dead insects, and a skeleton of a small mammal. Obviously, there was no phone. The next night I was lucky to get a friend to stay over.
Starting point is 02:04:49 We were up late just listening to music when the ring happened. I yelled, see, I told, I... told you that ghost phone is real. I was elated, but she thought that I was playing a prank, so I challenged her to find the wretched phone. She thought the whole thing was a joke, but became more and more unsettled when she could not find the phone. She started demanding that I tell her what the trick is. She had heard the phone, and it was quite loud. I promised her that this was not a joke and that I had lost a lot of sleep over it. When she realized that it was no joke, she became very serious.
Starting point is 02:05:29 But she could not find a phone. I was just happy that someone else witnessed it and that I was not alone in the house. She looked through the entire house and she looked under the house. The longer that we looked for the source of the sound, the darker the mood that filled the house. I moved out of the house shortly after all of these glitches, and it was later torn down to make way for new condo. This glitch may not sound that impressive to some, but looking back on that house, I believe that I was in an alternative reality.
Starting point is 02:06:05 My life changed drastically for the better after I moved out. My wife and I are pretty avid hikers and backpackers, and we like to spend a lot of our spare time out on the trails that we live near. I won't say exactly where we live, but I'll mention that we live in a very beautiful area in Colorado. We know a lot of the area pretty well because we've lived here for the entire 25 years that we've been married. We raised our son here and we got him involved in our love of nature, so now that he's out of the house and is starting a family, he's pretty much a carbon copy of me when I was his age.
Starting point is 02:06:54 I know this sounds a bit pointless for a glitch, but it's absolutely relevant. With all this, what I'm trying to establish here is that we know nature. We know the trails, the woods, and we're all fairly confident in our abilities and knowledge of what goes on out here. And I've never been afraid of anything in the woods because I have that experience. That out of the way, there was one event that happened a couple of years ago, that myself, my wife, my son and his girlfriend all experienced. We decided that we wanted to make a Saturday trip out to a hiking spot, that the three of us, had been down multiple times. We decided that we needed to head out in the morning to get out to where we needed to.
Starting point is 02:07:41 We all got our gear together and were honestly pretty hyped up to head down the trail. Because I knew that there was a small pond in one of the spots that was just beautiful. We got there, we got into the woods, and we started toward where I wanted to get to. We were having a great time, taking pictures, commenting about certain trees, my son is a bit of a botany nerd and his girlfriend seemed like she was having a good time too it was all the perfect trip until it wasn't
Starting point is 02:08:13 I know that sounds weird but here's basically how it went down there was a trail that we needed to take to get to the pond that was off of the main path it wasn't clearly marked but it was obvious where it had started because the trees were slightly cut back and it had created what was almost an arch over where it started.
Starting point is 02:08:35 I saw the area and made sure it was the right one with the GPS that we had, and I took the lead to head toward the trail. This is where things got weird. I stepped through the arch first, and as soon as I did, something felt completely off. I kept going for about five or so feet and paused to look around, and I was trying to place what I was feeling. As soon as I realized what was wrong,
Starting point is 02:09:03 which was the fact that as soon as I got on this trail it went completely silent and motionless, I heard what sounded like somebody getting sick. I turned around, and I noticed that my daughter-in-law was hunched over and throwing up off the trail. My son was comforting her and my wife was staring at me like she was about to have a heart attack. Obviously, we walked over to my daughter-in-law to see if she was okay, and she mentioned that as soon as she walked on to the trail, she started feeling dizzy and like gravity had intensified. That was a pretty spot-on explanation for what I was feeling,
Starting point is 02:09:42 minus the dizziness. It felt like, as soon as we stepped on to that path, the gravity intensified by two or three times. Like, it was super heavy, super still, and silent. And something was definitely wrong. I know a lot of people would say something like this was just our instincts, but it felt like more than that. It felt like something was telling all four of us to stay off the trail and to go somewhere else. I confirmed with my wife and my son that they felt the same way,
Starting point is 02:10:17 and they both described the same feeling that I'd had, that sense of something telling us to not go this way, something making us feel this immense pressure. Once we got away from this path, things went back to feeling normal. There was no pressure, the forest felt alive again, and my son's wife felt fine. She was confused about why she got sick because she was feeling okay the entire time. Unfortunately, we didn't really have an explanation for her, so I just mentioned that maybe something with her breakfast didn't agree with her stomach. I have no idea what all this was.
Starting point is 02:10:57 like I said, maybe it was just instincts, but if so, we all four had the same instinctual reaction to something that we've done before and a location that we've been to. I have personally had anxiety attacks in the past, and I know what they feel like, but this felt like the pressure was being exerted by something external. Either way, we never went down that path, and we've avoided that area altogether when we go hiking now, all because of that feeling we had that day. Last night, I was enjoying my last cigarette before bed while sitting on the sofa in the sunroom. It went out. I relit it with the lighter in question, cheap, pink, electric clicky kind, and it slipped out of my hand, hit the floor,
Starting point is 02:11:56 and vanished into thin air. For some extra context and probably way too much extra detail, but Bear with me, guys, this is bothering me. I always use a gold-plated clipper, which had a busted flint. It was late, dark, and changing flints as fiddly, so I used this plastic one that I found in my jacket pocket that I must have picked up, or stolen, from somebody. The room that I was sitting in is a gray, stark-tiled room
Starting point is 02:12:28 with next-to-zero decoration. The lighter was obviously inches away from my face when it slipped out of my hand at sitting height. I heard it hit the floor, clatter, and skid ever so slightly before coming to a halt. I immediately bend down to pick it up, assuming that it had either stopped skidding by knocking into the tiled coffee table, that's a big, almost immovable slab totally flush to the floor,
Starting point is 02:12:57 directly in front of me, or on the leg of the sofa, on which I was sitting, that is raised about 15 centimeters from the floor and sits right in the middle of the room, away from any walls. It wasn't there, and it wasn't anywhere. After turning on all the lights, I moved the sofa that I was on, and even checked beneath the sofa opposite the coffee table with the torch. Despite absolutely knowing, it couldn't have possibly skid it that far,
Starting point is 02:13:29 after somehow phasing through the table in front of me. I even moved the bar stalls behind me and checked behind the curtain just to make absolutely sure. The bar itself is tiled into the floor with no gaps. The curtain, transparent foil, with no turnips. I know it's not the most exciting story ever told, but this was just inexplicably irritating. There have been lots and lots of other occurrences in this house that sometimes verge on paranormal, but this is such a small thing that I witnessed. That's bothering me more than most of the bigger things that have had happened.
Starting point is 02:14:08 A pink lighter would be obvious against the gray for a start. I've checked everywhere twice and again in the daytime today, but it's gone, vanished. Maybe it's somehow fallen through the layers of concrete and tile, into the well that was originally below this room, or maybe it's been returned to its original owner. I just don't know. And I can't get the damn lighter out of my mind. I'm just glad it wasn't my special lighter, or I'd be pissed.
Starting point is 02:14:40 Hi, Raven. This doesn't seem creepy to some people, but it was terrifying in the moment. My glitch in the Matrix story is when I went to a wrestling match, I brought $5 in my student ID. I went and enjoyed the game. I didn't have to pay as someone paid for me. This is important later in the story. I went and enjoyed the match.
Starting point is 02:15:13 On the way home, I realized that I didn't have my $5 and student ID. I get home, go straight to my closet to put my shoes in, and sitting on the floor is the $5 and my student ID. I look up, and I hear the side door slam. I was home alone. My dog started barking, and I stepped out of my room. As soon as I went out, the lights went out, and I screamed and ran outside. It was dark by now.
Starting point is 02:15:49 When I came outside, after about five minutes, I went back inside. I left the stuff in my closet. I came back in through the front door, and the money and the ID was now on my couch. I threw them out in the garbage outside, and then it stopped happening. I was terrified. But whenever I tell people this, they don't believe me. Hello, everyone. I had an experience a week or so ago that I just can't stop thinking about.
Starting point is 02:16:31 I'm hoping someone on here can help me understand. So here it goes. Below is just a little background about me. I'm a registered nurse, and I work night shifts. I'm in my early 40s. I do 12-hour shifts, 7 p.m. to 7. I'll preface this by saying I was not tired at all. I've been a night shift nurse most of my nursing career, and I have no issues sleeping during the day.
Starting point is 02:17:02 I was not tired when this happened. I work in a nursing home on the short-term rehab unit, so there's always a lot of admissions and discharges from my unit. When we get a new patient, it's the nurse's responsibility to take the diet order to the kitchen. So usually around 6 a.m. I'll print out and take any new diet orders to the kitchen that we have. Now, on to my experience. One night late last week, I got three new patients, so I had printed out their diets. I had a little more charting to do, so I was at the computer finishing up all my tasks when all of a sudden I got this vision. I don't know what else to call it. in this vision I saw myself walking through the halls heading to the kitchen holding the diet orders
Starting point is 02:17:55 all of this is normal for what I always do but then in this vision when I turned the corner to walk down the hall where the kitchen is I saw myself have a freak accident I saw a ceiling tile fall on me in just the right way that it split my head open and there was blood everywhere I was just lying on the floor and I died. It was like I just watched a short excerpt of a movie, but it was of me dying. The vision only lasted a couple of seconds, but it totally freaked me out. It was like I was actually supposed to die at that exact time. My usual routine was thrown off, though, because I was a bit behind, because I was
Starting point is 02:18:44 finishing up some charting. I stopped charting, and... I was so confused at that vision. I've never had anything like that happened to me. The only thing close that I've experienced is 90% of the time when I walk down a set of stairs, I can picture myself falling down them. I think I may have died in a past life falling down the stairs.
Starting point is 02:19:09 I'm very sensitive and awake to a lot of things in this universe. I'm still learning more and more every day. after the initial shell shock of trying to process what I just saw the first thought that came to mind was maybe it wasn't a vision but it was a memory of how I just died and me sitting at the computer was the place I was reset into in a different timeline one closest to where I had just died in
Starting point is 02:19:39 this whole experience has really freaked me out was this a memory a vision a glitch CERN? I just don't know, but I felt everything that happened in the vision. I've been trying to mentally take note of any changes in my life, even down to small details that happen. Things have definitely been off for me ever since they turned on the CERN machine. If anyone can help me process all this, I would appreciate it.
Starting point is 02:20:11 I only told my boyfriend about this because the experience sounds so crazy to me, and I know that I'm not crazy. To end this post, I'll reiterate that I was not tired. I was wide awake, and I was at work. I don't drink or do any kind of drugs, and I'm not on any kind of medication. I have a weird experience like these. I'll share a short one.
Starting point is 02:20:50 My wife and I moved to Texas to a new apartment. A couple of months after moving in, we came home, from the store and went up to our floor. There was a guy in the hallway yelling, let me in, let me in. He was sitting alone on the floor in the middle of the hallway, wearing all white. All the doors to the apartments are on the right side of the hallways. I mentioned this because our complex is large and it's difficult to find specific apartments if you haven't been there. So we would follow the numbers in the door until we knew we're where our apartment was by heart.
Starting point is 02:21:30 Being in a new state, this guy made me nervous, so as soon as we got in the apartment, I looked out of the people to make sure he wasn't following us, but he was gone. I left the apartment and told my wife to lock the door behind me
Starting point is 02:21:45 while I go see what's going on. The hallway is very long, and there's no way he could have gotten up off of the floor and into an apartment within a second or two. and he was not anywhere near an apartment door. So he couldn't have gone in somewhere within the time it took me to shut the door and look through the people. The strangest part of this story is, now, all the apartment doors are on the opposite side of the hallways,
Starting point is 02:22:15 and they have been ever since. It's very, very strange, and I'm not sure how to explain it. When I was a teenager, we moved out to an... army weapons testing base for my father worked. He'd been there since the late 1940s. Most of my life up to that point had been in a city 30 miles away. After years of driving it, the old man decided to move out to the base to make life easier. The year was about 1980.
Starting point is 02:22:57 I had gotten my driver's license and started spending time back home, sometimes taking kids from the base with me. The story is about one of those rides. Las Cruces is west of White Sands Missile Range, and there's a mountain pass that must be traversed. On the west side of the mountain before the pass, there's a little town called Oregon. Several miles west of Oregon, we began to approach an old Lincoln Continental. It was burgundy colored with the vinyl top. I can still see it. It was cruising about 50 miles per hour, and the speed limit was 55.
Starting point is 02:23:41 I liked to play with machines and had modified my own car to go pretty fast. Normally, I would have flown past him like a rocket, but there was something strange about this car, so I hung back. We closed distance, and I backed off of the throttle. Andrea turned off the radio, and a short conversation later, we both agreed that something was off about the Lincoln. We went through Oregon, the speed limit dropped to 45 and then went down to 40. The pass was just ahead.
Starting point is 02:24:18 Oregon Pass has an old Nike Hercules and an overlook on the east side of the pass. You can even see it today. The pass itself, back then, was two lanes in each direction and it curved. There, sides of the pass are high. It's like going through a tunnel without a roof. Nowhere to go, but down the road. The other side, east of the pass, has the overlook with the missile. It has a slight curve and then goes straight for miles.
Starting point is 02:24:50 Again, nowhere to go. The rise and fall at the peak is rapid enough that if you're not right on a vehicle in front of you, you'll lose sight of it for a brief moment. And that's what happened. We crested the hill, lost side of the Lincoln still in the pass, and continued our journey. We crested the hill, and as we did, Andrea asked, Did you see that? The car was gone, without a trace.
Starting point is 02:25:18 We were close enough to it that it could not have outrun us to get to the pass. We looked at the overlook, and down the road, there wasn't another car in sight. Hi, Raven. I recently submitted a couple of stories and wanted to end up. add this one. This is by far the strangest one, and it's the only one that I have no possible explanation for. It's one of two things that I've experienced that I am almost certain are paranormal. Strangely, it didn't stick in my memory the same way that the other less bizarre occurrences did. I only remembered it randomly today. A couple of years ago, I found a strange piece of plastic on the kitchen counter. It was
Starting point is 02:26:12 translucent and a dark green. It was heavy plastic with odd little sparkles inside of it, if that makes sense. In other words, it was very distinct. And for the life of me, I had no idea where it had come from. It was small, but again, distinctive. I just threw it away. A couple of days later, I was standing in the same spot at the kitchen counter, about to put a plastic bag clip on a bagged.
Starting point is 02:26:42 of chips when the clip suddenly snapped, just broken half. I heard a small piece of plastic at the counter, but I couldn't find it to throw it away with the rest of the broken clip. Then it hit me. I looked down at the translucent, dark green plastic of the clip, the little sparkles in the plastic. It was the exact same material, exactly the same. The more I thought about it, the more dumbfounded I was.
Starting point is 02:27:12 I'd been listening to Glitch stories lately, and I stood there and thought, Holy crap, I just experienced a glitch. Glitch, time travel, some sort of hole in reality or displacement. I have no idea. But I have no good explanation for how that piece of plastic from the broken clip ended up on the counter days before it should have. Keep up the good work. I'm really enjoying the podcast, and it gets me through my late exercise wall.
Starting point is 02:27:42 Hi Raven, thank you for gathering all of these beautiful stories. I love listening to them. Here's my story. My sister and I are reminiscing with a childhood friend of my sisters, and an incident comes to mind that happened, when my sister and I were on holiday in Austria with my parents. I think I must have been about 12 at the time, and my sister were about 15. I told them about that time that my sister's friend called to the phone in the farm, where we were staying that holiday. I can still see my sister standing by that telephone that hung in the wall of the farm, and the conversation lasted for ages. At the time, there were only landline telephones, and calling abroad was quite expensive. There were regular discussions among children and their
Starting point is 02:28:44 parents about the fact that phone calls should not be made for too long. But the this conversation had lasted at least an hour and a half. So when my sister rejoined me, and my parents after the conversation, my parents jokingly said, Well, her father won't be happy when he sees the bill later. My sister replied matter-of-factly, Oh no, she was walking the dog and went to our house, and she called here from our house.
Starting point is 02:29:15 My parents became furious, so intense that it had ruined an entire house. day of that vacation for us all. My sister and her friend are looking at me with their mouths hanging open when I finished my story. Neither of them can remember anything about this. Not that they called each other, not that the girlfriend was in our house, and not that my parents were so angry. We decided that I'll ask my father.
Starting point is 02:29:45 My father is older, but still up to date and his memories are still intact. However, my father also has no memories of this. This memory that is so vividly present in me. I think I may have shifted timelines somewhere along the line or something. One day, I was on the way to my girlfriend's house when a glitch happened to me. I frequently visited her house from time to time. One day she was quite upset that she'd had a fight with her best friend of a little. 11 years, so she'd wanted to see me as soon as possible.
Starting point is 02:30:35 At that time, I was working, and it was Saturday, so I had half a workday. I told her that I would only be free after 6 p.m. because I had to run a few errands, and also I exited my work way later than I anticipated. She was adamant that I come straight to her house after my work was finished, so I left work at 4 p.m. It's 1 p.m. normal exit time on Saturdays. So, as I'm getting my motorcycle going, I call her and tell her that I'm coming to her house just like she wanted. I reach her house at precisely 4.48 p.m. I remember that, because I had just gotten a notification on my phone, and when I pulled my phone out to check what it was,
Starting point is 02:31:25 It was obviously a spam message, but the time read 4.48 p.m. Then, I opened up the gate and I entered the house, and there she was with her face quite red. She says, where were you all of this time? I told her to just calm down and that I was at work earlier, and she replied telling me that I told her I left work at 4 p.m. and now it was 6 p.m. She pointed at the clock in her house. I jokingly said that I thought the time on her clock was wrong,
Starting point is 02:32:04 and she blew up on me, and then I pulled out my phone to show her that it was only 5 p.m. But, unfortunately for me, the clock on my phone also read 6.03 p.m. I was dumbfounded, and I had no answers for any question that she had. I had just missed out on an hour of my life without any explanation. I just wanted some answers, but up to this day she hasn't accepted what happened.
Starting point is 02:32:36 This is one experience with glitches in the Matrix that I personally encountered, and whoever you are listening or reading this story, please, have a nice day. I was door-dashing today, June 5th, 2023, around 4 p.m. I had a list of items a customer wanted me to get for them from the Dollar General Store. It was around 40 items. As I was shopping, I stumbled across this separate shopper's cart. It had like ten items that I needed on my shopping list in it. Some of the items I had already picked, but there were several others I needed and got them out of this separate shopper's.
Starting point is 02:33:28 shopping cart. It also had this one item that was out of stock temporarily inside this shopping cart. It was some kind of makeup called Sea Queen. Other items that I needed or I had already picked up that were inside the cart, like miniature tutsy rolls, body mist that I had overlooked on my shopping list, don't soap, etc. They were the exact same brands as my list. I wasn't sure of what to make of it at first. I and I wondered if another dasher may have come in and got the items, but then rejected the order and passed it on to me. I asked the cashier if he had seen another dasher in here earlier, and he said he had seen no other dasher that whole day.
Starting point is 02:34:14 I took the items to the customer, and I asked her if someone else beside me had been scheduled to bring her dash earlier, instead of me. She said no, that I was the only name she had to pick up her items from the dollar general. I started to ask myself, am I experiencing a glitch in the matrix? To be sure, I ended up calling the DoorDash main phone number to ask if another dasher had been on the list to take that specific door dash. He said I was the only person that was on the list to take that dash. I'm not sure what to make of this, but I'm completely dumbfounded. Was this a glitch or something
Starting point is 02:34:55 paranormal? It seems more like a glitch in the matrix to me, and if you have any logical explanation, please feel free to share. Thank you. A couple of years ago, my husband and I decided that we wanted to go on a bit of a road trip, so we took some time off work to hit the road. The plan was to go from Colorado to South Dakota, because we wanted to go see some of the landmarks and parks up there, And his parents had actually moved up there, so we were going to spend a couple of days with them between stops. The problem with my husband and road trips is that he's not the type to understand when he should stop. And he is 100% the type to push himself until he damn near passes out on the road. I've chastised him about this a dozen times, but he's too stubborn to even listen to me.
Starting point is 02:36:05 this is actually where the glitch comes into play, him being like that, and the fact that we were going on our road trip. For most of our trip up to South Dakota, we had to drive north through Wyoming. It's a very direct drive up I-25 to US-85, and the trip itself isn't terribly long. However, my husband didn't want to wait until Saturday morning to make the trip, and he decided that we needed to be. to head out Friday evening after work. This meant that we would be getting out of the house around six at night, and staying on the road until one or two in the morning, depending on the time that we made.
Starting point is 02:36:50 I was very much against this, but he was the one driving, so I didn't have much of a say in it. I don't have my license for reasons that aren't worth getting into, so I wasn't going to be able to drive for this trip. We were driving up to Black Hills and making our way through Wyoming when it started getting darker and I could tell that he was getting tired. I told him that we either needed to stop and get caffeine or get a hotel room or something. And after fighting with him a bit, he agreed that we could stop and get coffee. We stopped, got our drinks, and headed back onto the road.
Starting point is 02:37:32 I was doing fine at this point. my energy drink was working for me, but I could tell that he wasn't feeling it, because I know that look on his face when he gets tired. He starts to get this really weird stonewall stare going on. About the time that I noticed this, I look back toward the road, and I see what looks like a deer run into the road. I scream for him to watch out, and this is where things get weird. I yelled at him to watch out, and I swear that I lived through him hitting the deer,
Starting point is 02:38:10 through the deer smacking into the car, him swerving out to the side, and the car going off the road. I have a vivid memory of the crash, the sounds, the smell of coolant and oil, the feeling of adrenaline and terror of me sitting in the car with it upside down. I very distinctly remember looking over at his seat and seeing him. him unconscious or not alive and bloody. I don't know why I have these memories, or why they feel so incredibly real, because it never happened. It was like all of this flashed out in my mind at the exact second I told him to watch out,
Starting point is 02:38:55 like I lived through two different timelines at once, or like I was able to experience where things split. In reality, or in this reality, he swerved and slowed down and missed the deer. But elsewhere, he hit the deer and caused a major accident. I know this may not seem as weird as most glitch in the Matrix stories, as I didn't really live through the events, but the memories of all this happening were absolutely put into my head somehow.
Starting point is 02:39:33 Like I said, I don't feel like I lived through the situation that happened, but I remember every single second of it in agonizing detail. Like, it is what happened. I don't know in the end what to think of all this. Maybe I just have a weirdly active imagination all the sudden, and the experience is one that I made up. Or maybe it's intrusive thoughts, but it really doesn't feel like it. This all feels like memories of the other me, the me that went through the accident, and they somehow got downloaded into my brain. Here's a short little glitch that my friend and I experienced.
Starting point is 02:40:28 Several months back, I believe it was like mid-August. My friend and I started moving forward with our plans to start taking up camping and hiking as a hobby. We eventually wants to hike the Appalachian Trail. Part of this included getting all of our supplies and doing many closer to home hikes. The glitch happened during the process of getting our camping supplies. We were getting a lot of stuff that day, but I made a point of making sure that we got our trail food, like packaged oatmeal and some type of egg and sausage meal, because it just looked really delicious. Well, we get up to the counter and the woman rings us up.
Starting point is 02:41:07 I know for certain that we had put the trail food on the table. counter and had it wrong up because the cashier was having trouble scanning it. Eventually it goes through, and we put the bag with the trail food in our cart and then loaded into our car. We double-checked to make sure that everything is in there, and then head home. We unload everything, but don't really look through it too much right away. Lunchtime rolls around, and I ask my friend if he wanted to try one of those oatmeal to make sure that we actually like it, before deciding for sure that that's what we'd be packing for our hike. He says yes, so we began searching all the bags for our trail food.
Starting point is 02:41:48 It was not there. Our first thought was that we had accidentally left it in the trunk. We checked. It wasn't there. We searched the rest of the car before assuming it fell out of the cart or something on the way to the car. But then I asked my friend to check the receipt so that we could go back and get new trail food. He looked at the receipt and saw that none of the trail food was on it. Weird. Both of us were sure that we had it,
Starting point is 02:42:18 and, as mentioned, the cashier had definitely wrung it up and handed it back to us. We decided to just call it a brain fog moment. Our trip wasn't for another few weeks, so we had time to go get new trail food. Eventually, my friend goes back to the store on his own, and the same thing happens with the trail food. He swears up and down that the cashier wrung him up for it. But when he got home, it just wasn't in the car. Eventually, we did get our trail food, third time's a charm.
Starting point is 02:42:53 But we did find it a little strange. This just happened yesterday. And I remembered this Reddit group and thought it would be interesting to share to see if anyone else can possibly explain some other way she would have known. For background, I-19M had a sleepover on Saturday with a group of friends. C, 21 non-binary, A-19 non-binary, and D. 19 female. Our other friend, age 17, female, was meant to spend the night as well, but changed her mind after a stressful week. The plan was that I would wake up Saturday morning to go to a college open house at my college campus with H, who is currently in her tour process.
Starting point is 02:43:54 After the tour, we would come home and see A and D would arrive. We would all be dyeing our hair, playing some games like Mario Party, and one-night werewolf. We really enjoy playing games altogether like this. C was planning on getting drunk, which we all thought would be fun to witness. After A.D. After A. had already gone home with her new hairdo. I had elected to cut my hair into more of a shag. And I was helping D bleach her hair.
Starting point is 02:44:28 We were all laughing, as C had just finished attempting to shotgun a can of hard seltzer. Keyword attempt. It got all over my bathroom mirror and walls instead. And the Naye was playing music. for us all. D. suddenly called me Philip. There are three things to know as to why her calling me Philip was so strange.
Starting point is 02:44:52 One, my name is not and has never been Philip. Not even closely related to it either. Two, I'm FtM transgender. My legal name is nowhere close to Philip and neither is my actual name. Three, my mom was going to name me Philip had I been born assigned male. I froze and said, How the hell did you know that? She said,
Starting point is 02:45:18 No, what? I laughed and said, No, seriously, when did my mom tell you that? And when did you come up with the idea for this joke? It's a good one, though. You spooked me there for a second. They said,
Starting point is 02:45:32 I don't know what you're talking about. I just think you give off Philip vibes. That's it. I then explained to my friends that my mom had wanted to name my old. older brother Philip, but his dad objected so she saved it for her next kid. When I came out and the doctors declared me female, she scrapped Philip and her and my dad came up with something else relating to a movie character that my mom had admired.
Starting point is 02:45:58 My friends all confirmed that my mom hadn't mentioned it at any point that day or prior. Normally, I would think that they were pulling my leg, but even my mom confirmed and pointed it out, why would she even bring that up with them? Given that even my severely drunk friend, C.E. was dead serious. This friend can't hold water without immediately losing it when drunk. We can't even make eye contact without a don't look at me and an eruption of giggles from them. I'm inclined to trust them. Plus, after how freaked out I looked, they would have spilled the beans by now. Dee swears that she doesn't know how she knew about it. She just had this feeling that I had Philip vibes or should have been a Philip.
Starting point is 02:46:48 Anyone have any other ideas? Because I'm at a loss. And I'm becoming convinced that this was some sort of glitch in the Matrix, or a case of morphic resonance fields, or something like that.
