Starting point is 00:00:34 For a lot of people, this has been a very stressful week this last week has. A very downtrodden and stress-ridden week for sure. That includes myself on the public-facing front and the personal front in my personal life. Some things happen that are taking some kind of kind of process. That said, I don't want to drag you all down I just wanted to let you know that things have just been a little rough
Starting point is 00:01:03 so today we have a dark dreams episode an episode of stories you may have heard in the past if you've been around a while remastered stories with rain sounds in the backgrounds
Starting point is 00:01:16 hopefully you enjoy them and yeah I won't keep you any longer hope you have a beautiful weekend rest of your weekend at least hope I see again here soon but until then please remember that you are loved
Starting point is 00:01:26 you are valid and the world is a better place with you in it. Please, do not forget that. Until next time, my friends. Enjoy. This happened back whenever I was six years old, and while I can't remember every detail, I can remember most of what happened. It was in the autumn, right around Halloween. I live near a local amusement park that had this fun Halloween event that they would do every year, and there were basically two levels to it.
Starting point is 00:02:00 The adult event, which was actually a big haunted house, and the kid event, which was this cute little spooky thing for little kids. I was an only kid, so I think my parents wanted to do everything to give me a great childhood. And they did, this wasn't a shot at them at all. I just wanted to explain that they did a lot to do things with me when I was really young. We went to the amusement park every year for several years, and it was a really fun time, minus the aforementioned year when I was six. My love for the macabre started back then, actually.
Starting point is 00:02:42 I have always loved the spookiness of the season, and I can thank my mom for that. I think that's why they took me to the Halloween events at that park every year. It was good memories, but she also loved it. And she wanted to mold me into loving the spooky season two. The whole park was completely transformed into a Halloween fun land. Hay bales, scarecrowes, plastic skeletons hung up all over the place. In all the photos, it looks super cheesy, but for a six-year-old, it was magical. Like stepping into another world.
Starting point is 00:03:21 One of the main things I remember is that the park always smelled like caramel popcorn. I don't know why I remember that specifically, but it's one of my core memories of the place. Sorry, I know that that was a bit long-winded. I don't mean to stretch this out too much. I'm just a bit nostalgic. My sixth year alive was, if I remember correctly, based on the pictures my parents still have, the third year that we had been going to the park. And in spite of what happened, it was not the last.
Starting point is 00:03:57 time. At one point during the afternoon, I remember telling my parents that I was feeling hungry and that I wanted caramel corn. My mom mentioned that she had to go to the restroom and told my dad to take me to the popcorn vendor to get some caramel popcorn, and that she would meet us back at the tables. My dad and I walked over to the vendor, and he was getting the popcorn together to purchase, getting the money out and whatnot. At that point, I was just standing there waiting, and I got very distracted by, of all things, a balloon cart. I remember that I saw a balloon at the cart that was shaped like a bat, and I wanted it, so I shuffled my little kid feet over to the cart to look at it. I was just standing there staring at the balloon when I felt a hand on my shoulder.
Starting point is 00:04:52 I immediately thought it was my dad and said, Dad, can we get that balloon? And looked up. As soon as my eyes met with the eyes that were over me, I realized that it was not, my dad. It was just some random guy. As soon as our eyes met, this man smiled and said, Of course, honey.
Starting point is 00:05:15 And then handed the man at the balloon cart some cash, and grabbed the balloon, and then handed the string to me. I grabbed it hesitantly in. just stared at this man. He sort of pushed me along slightly, getting me a few steps ahead of the cart. I watched as he pulled a cell phone out of his pocket. It was one of those old Nokia's, if I recall.
Starting point is 00:05:39 You know the type. And he started pushing the buttons on it, but kept his other hand on my shoulder. My little six-year-old brain was starting to ring alarm bells. Something was off. I remembered my mom telling me things like, Don't walk away with strangers and all that, but I was also a bit frozen in confusion, as this man had just bought me this balloon, and he had a grip on my shoulder. I said something like, I gotta go find my dad.
Starting point is 00:06:13 The man glanced down at me from his phone and gave me a big grin and then said, Oh, that's okay. I know your dad. He's out in the parking lot. Come on, let's go find him. Even at that age, I knew that something was really off. My dad would not be in the parking lot. He would be at the popcorn stand, as that's where I saw him last. I wasn't that far from the stand, but for some dumb reason, my little brain wasn't even looking for him. I was just staring at this guy and probably thinking, What is this guy doing?
Starting point is 00:06:50 Why is he doing this? As I thought this, he started pushing me a... bit harder, getting me to walk forward, and for whatever reason I kept walking. I was scared, obviously, and I did not want to go with him. I think that I was just having a panic attack at that age, and I didn't know what else to do. Then I did what was probably the smartest thing I have literally ever done. We were walking, him behind me with his hand on my shoulder, And I spotted a person dressed in a clown costume.
Starting point is 00:07:29 He was standing there waving at random people, and at one point we made eye contact. As soon as we did, I shouted, I can't find my dad. Help me find my dad! As soon as I shouted this, the clown stopped his act and stood up straight. I'm pretty sure that he was staring at the man that was pushing me. As soon as I yelled this and caught the clown's attention, the man led him. go of my shoulder and just kept walking right past me, as if he hadn't had anything to do with me. Like, he wasn't just pushing me towards the front gate. The clown shouted, trying to get people's attention and trying to get the attention of security,
Starting point is 00:08:11 I would guess, saying, Hey, stop that man. The man with a blue baseball cap, green t-shirt. Somebody stop him. He then knelt down toward me and asked me if that man was my dad. I shook my head no and told him that he said he was going to take me to my dad and then I didn't know him. I remember the look on his face. He may have been dressed like a clown, but he looked horrified.
Starting point is 00:08:40 He grabbed my hand and asked me if I was okay, asked me my name, and then asked if that man had hurt me in any way. I told him that he didn't hurt me and that I just wanted to find my dad. He nodded, and he asked me where I had last seen him. I told him that we were getting popcorn, and he told me to come with him, and that he would find my dad. Interestingly, looking back, this was nearly the same situation as the other man,
Starting point is 00:09:11 but the whole vibe was different. I trusted the clown, and I knew he wasn't going to hurt me. He led me over to the popcorn stand, and he asked, me if I saw my dad. I looked around and told him I didn't, and he asked the vendor to call for security and have them make an announcement that I was waiting at the popcorn stand for my dad. After a few moments, I did see my dad, and I told him. He immediately waved to my parents,
Starting point is 00:09:43 and they ran over. I remember both of them looking as exasperated as I was feeling. My mom ran over and hugged me. My dad started to my dad. started thanking the clown for finding me, and I remember him telling my dad about the other man, and mentioning that he had gotten a good look at him and that they were going to do a sweep to see if they could find him. I don't know if they ever did find him, though. I just remember that my parents were extra clingy, and they gave me a stern talking to about the whole thing.
Starting point is 00:10:17 We didn't get to spend much more time there that day, though, and I didn't get to ride any of the rides, and I was pretty upset, but at the same time, I knew that the event was really scary for my parents. Obviously, I didn't know the whole situation, and how close it was, until I was much older. While most people are scared of clowns, after that, I actually had the opposite idea of them. They were my heroes. That one clown had saved me, and, I cannot thank him enough for listening to me and believing me. I was glad that I'd had that idea at that age, that I hadn't just completely frozen,
Starting point is 00:11:04 and I thank that man for quite possibly saving my life. Two and five Canadians will hear the words, You have cancer. That's why every step and dollar-raised matters. On September 19th, join thousands in Toronto for the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation Walk. Challenge yourself, friends, and family to walk 21 kilometers in support of life-saving research. Together, we can carry the fire and help create a world free from the fear of cancer.
Starting point is 00:11:42 Register today at pmcfwalk.ca.ca. This is going to start weird, but it'll make more sense later. But I've been obsessed with horses for as long as I can remember. But it wasn't in that cliche, every girl wants a pony kind of way. This was different. I loved horses in general. Like, they were my favorite animal, and everything I had was about horses. A horse bedding, clothing, themed bedroom, when I was old enough to choose my own, etc.
Starting point is 00:12:22 But it wasn't just something like they were my favorite animal. I knew so much about them that it didn't make sense from my young age. In example, before I could really even read, I couldn't stop talking, and I told my parents that my favorite animal slash horse was an Andalusian. This was before I really understood what breed or pedigree meant. I just remember, and so do my parents, that for birthdays and Christmas, I would ask them for an Andalusian. Nobody had a clue how I knew about this specific Spanish breed, especially because we lived in the middle of a popular and bustling city, far from any farms and rustic barns.
Starting point is 00:13:14 All I knew at that point was urban living. When they asked me why that one specifically, I told them about how I used to own one. They, of course, would question this, thinking maybe I misstated something, but I would always correct them saying things like, no, this was before. Then, there were the times that I would be playing with my toy horses,
Starting point is 00:13:39 and I would just stop and sigh. When they would ask me what was wrong, I would sadly say, I miss riding my horse jewels. They would look at me puzzled, and tell me that I never owned a real horse, let alone ridden one. So when they would ask more questions,
Starting point is 00:13:58 I would respond with something like, No, not now. This was before when I was a grown-up, like you. Again, they just thought it was me with a wild imagination. Then there was this time that we went on a road trip. We were driving through western Kansas, with farmland all around us. And while most kids would be bored,
Starting point is 00:14:24 it almost felt like I knew the place. Like seeing the open fields and old rustic-looking barns almost made me feel homesick. While we drove through, I spotted a ranch with horses grazing in the sun and a beautiful barn nearby. The horses, of course, immediately had my attention, and I remember leaning forward between the front seats where my parents were, and excitedly telling them, look at those beautiful horses. I used to have a house like that and a big barn full of horses.
Starting point is 00:15:02 I loved reading stories to them and brushing their mains. My parents once again questioned me and said that we had never lived anywhere other than our current home, and that we never owned horses. I remember not knowing how to explain it better to them, and being frustrated by it and saying something along the lines of, No, before. When I was a grown-up, I had my own house and a barn full of horses.
Starting point is 00:15:32 But then my house was on fire, and I couldn't get out because the door was too hot, so I just died there. I was very sad, but now I'm here, and I'm okay. But I still miss my horse jewels. Again, my parents never mentioned or showed anything about fires when I was a around that age, I just remembered it. In my dreams, I could remember how hot the flames were and how terrified I was. They had no explanation as to how I would know about something so vivid and intense. And you can bet that that freaked them out a bit, too.
Starting point is 00:16:13 But one of the more bizarre things happened when we went to a county fair that really cemented it for my parents, that there may have been something more to my story. They had one of those horse-riding attractions. Now, I understand that this would be the first time I'd physically touched a real horse in this life. Yet, when I saw them and ran up to them, it felt natural to pet and examine them. As if I were a seasoned vet, I meticulously looked over each of them, and then even gave specific characteristics, giving away what breed they were. The man in charge of the horses even asked my parents if we owned horses because of my reaction, and he was equally surprised when they told him that we didn't.
Starting point is 00:17:06 It didn't take me long to choose a horse, and as the man walked over to help me onto it, I was able to jump up and swing my leg over, getting into position like I had done it every day of my life. When I took the reins and the horse started walking, every moment felt natural. Like I was picking up where I'd left off from another time, another life. And I remember that as the ride came to an end, I cried. My parents took me home, and that's when they actually seemed to have a heart to heart with me. They asked me to explain everything, and I did.
Starting point is 00:17:48 I gave as much detail as I could about my home, my horses, people I could remember everything. They still seemed bewildered, but I could tell they wanted to believe. After about a week or so, they surprised me with riding lessons. And even though I knew and remembered how to ride,
Starting point is 00:18:09 I knew this would probably be the closest I would come to horses in our city. So I jumped on the opportunity. Can't blame them for trying. Those memories never faded. As I've gotten older, I've looked into past lives and reincarnation, and I'm quite certain that's what I'm experiencing. But unlike other kids that slowly lose their memories, I never did. I've always had a strong connection to horses, and it's actually shaped my life.
Starting point is 00:18:42 I went to university to be a veterinarian and specialized in horses, and I moved to the country. But despite the science and logic that surrounded my job, I always kept this mystical feeling and wondered that there may have been something more, something unexplainable that linked me to those beautiful creatures. I wanted to dig deeper and really find out more about my past life. I wanted to know who I used to be, as some type of closure maybe, to tell myself that I'm okay and that I'm getting a second chance. but I didn't have the slightest clue of where to start. I didn't even know what state I may have lived in, what date or year, and tracking down a house fire without any additional information would be damn near impossible. So, until then, I will live this life, taking care of others' horses,
Starting point is 00:19:42 as well as the Andalusian mare that I now own myself. And, as I brush its mane, I question myself and what I've experienced. But then, I remember this innate connection I seemed to have with my horse. The strange recollections and the inexplicable knowledge of a life that I never lived, and somehow, deep inside me, I know that I did. This started about six months ago. I was getting ready for bed in my room.
Starting point is 00:20:25 It was maybe 10.30 p.m. My curtains were closed, so I couldn't see out the window, but I heard three hard knocks on the glass of my window. Of course, that scared the living crap out of me, so I didn't even look, and ran and got my dad, and made him look. Now, I live with my parents and two brothers in a fairly busy neighborhood, so noises weren't uncommon to hear. But this knock was directly on my window. so someone wanted me to hear it. The thing was, my bedroom isn't facing the front of the house, or the road, or anything. My room is actually towards the back of the house, so someone would have had to walk to the backyard in order to knock on my window, which seemed very odd.
Starting point is 00:21:19 I had my dad check, but when he opened the curtains, no one was outside the window. He even went in the backyard to check. No one was there. That was the first incident. I closed my curtains and brushed it off as me hearing things or some sort of animal. The following night, at almost the exact same time, I heard another three knocks on my window. Immediately I went and got my dad again,
Starting point is 00:21:49 for him to just see nothing haul over again. But this time I didn't brush it off. and I slept in my parents' room on the floor. The next few nights there was nothing until about a week later. I was home alone, and it was about 8.30 to 9 p.m., and I was on FaceTime with my friends, when I heard another three knocks on my window. This time I was home alone, so I couldn't go get my dad,
Starting point is 00:22:18 but I ran into their room and called them. They told me to call the neighbor to check because they were out of town, So I did. The neighbor saw nothing. The night after, it was about 1 a.m., I think. I heard the knocking again. It wasn't three times, though. It was more.
Starting point is 00:22:40 It woke me up out of a dead sleep. I was tempted to just look out the window to see who, but part of me didn't want to know. I went and got my parents, who didn't bother to check at this point, because they didn't see anything the last few times. I kept hearing the knocking for the next few nights after, to the point where I ended up just sleeping on the couch. My parents decided to just let me move bedrooms,
Starting point is 00:23:08 and so they moved my bedroom into what was the office, and switched everything around, so I hopefully wouldn't hear any more things. After moving bedrooms, I didn't hear anything. It was good for maybe three nights. Then I heard it again. The same knocking. Three hard times.
Starting point is 00:23:32 This time I looked out the window. I saw what I assume was a man, or a very big, built woman, crouching down, wearing a gray hoodie and some dark jeans. I can't recall the color. It was dark, so maybe gray or black. I closed the curtain and went and got my parent,
Starting point is 00:23:51 about it, and they informed the police. The police really couldn't do anything because we had no solid proof beside my words. They advised that we get a camera facing my bedroom and around that area of the house. So, that's what we did. I haven't heard the knocking since, but I do wonder who it was. Nonetheless, it makes a good story to tell. So, this story is about the story. the weirdest night shift I ever had.
Starting point is 00:24:34 Maybe not the creepiest, as I have certainly dealt with my share of creeps and people that were blazed out of their mind. Not looking down on people that deal with addiction, just saying they can do some terrifying things. I've obviously had my fair share of weird people stumble through the door on my overnight shift at the station where I work.
Starting point is 00:24:58 But this night takes the cake. It was one of those shifts that kind of started off crappy. I was the only one working because the other overnight attendant was out sick with COVID. But of course, instead of the boss scheduling someone else, he just told me to suck it up, and that things would be fine with just one person. He's kind of a cheapskate, obviously. Anyways, it's around 2 a.m. when this random guy walks into the station. average height, a bit hefty, but mostly nondescript.
Starting point is 00:25:33 He's got longer greasy hair, but that doesn't mean much. Most of the customers on the overnight come in looking like they don't really believe in self-care. One thing I noted about him, though, was that he had an intense look on his face, like he was there with purpose. Now, I have been robbed before, and the guy had that same look. but he immediately walked to the counter and told me to give him the cash. This guy had the look, but turned and asked me if we carried R.C. Cola. I told him that we did, two liters and single-serve bottles,
Starting point is 00:26:12 and mentioned that it was right by the Dr. Pepper in the second door from the left. Yes, I have the stores layout memorized. He heads over, grabs three bottles of R.C, and a bag of the TGI Friday's potato skin chips and drops them on the counter. I ring him up and tell him his total. He pulls a few bills from his pocket. He then starts fumbling around for a moment,
Starting point is 00:26:38 and then mumbles an apology. That's when I notice he's about $2 and some change short on the purchase. I figure, based on this guy's intense frustration over not having the cash, that he'd had one hell of a night, already. So I tell him, hey man, I got two bucks on me. Don't sweat it. I'll cover the rest. You just have a good rest of the night, all right? He starts to ask me if I'm sure, saying that he could just put something back, but I wave him off, saying it's cool and to just pay it forward in the
Starting point is 00:27:12 future if he can. He then gives me the biggest grin I've seen someone give. Like, I literally just changed his life, and then he reaches into his pocket. Now, at first, I'm thinking this was a test. And this guy was going to give me $100 for being kind. A guy can dream, right? But then he slides a handgun out of the inner pocket of his jacket. Yeah, a gun. And I immediately think that I'm about to get robbed again.
Starting point is 00:27:44 But the way he took the gun out didn't make sense for that to be his plan. He didn't do so threateningly. and he pulled it out almost carefully, respectfully even. He then gently placed it on the counter and slid it over to me. Here, he said with his voice low and quiet. Take this as my way of saying thanks. It'll save your life. Then, he gives me that same smile, a slight nod,
Starting point is 00:28:15 and just walks out with his RC and potato chips. So, there I am, alone in a little. gas station at two-something in the morning, with a dirty handgun sitting on my counter. I'm thinking that this has to be a joke. There's no way that some dude just left a gun there as a payment for me covering $2. My second thought is that something worse is going to happen, and I'm about to die like it's some kind of messed up horror movie. But nothing happens. The guy is just gone. The gun is sitting there. And for several moments, I'm just staring at it in silence.
Starting point is 00:28:56 I grabbed some plastic gloves from under the counter. There was no way I was touching that thing bare-handed, and put the gun in a plastic bag and then placed that on the floor behind me, and called the cops. The officers arrive, and they ask about a call they got saying that someone had found a gun in the store. I had to correct them, and explained that I didn't find the gun, that I was given. the gun.
Starting point is 00:29:23 And they both looked at me like I was crazy or telling an awful joke. I explained what happened, and they both have this same look of, this guy's high on their face. But I assure them the whole thing played out just like I said. I even showed them the security footage of the guy putting it down and sliding it toward me. They take the gun, thank me, and tell me they'll be in touch if they have any further questions. and then tell me to call them if I see the guy again. The rest of the shift, I was nervous,
Starting point is 00:29:58 thinking that this guy may come back for his weapon, realizing he gave it away to a stranger, but it was a relatively quiet night after that. I seriously felt crazy. Like who gives a gun to a gas station attendant as a thank you for buying their damn potato chips for them? Here's where things got truly bizarre, though. About a week or so later,
Starting point is 00:30:22 Later, one of the officers come back while he's off duty to get some coffee, but he recognizes me, and he decides to fill me in on a bit of information. Turns out, the gun was hot. It had been stolen, and potentially used in a homicide a little while back, about three blocks from my gas station. They were still trying to piece everything together, but this was a huge lead for them in that case, since they now had the weather. and the guy's fingerprints on it, as well as the footage from the store.
Starting point is 00:30:57 So, in the end, him, I guess, gifting me this gun was a good thing, because it helped to potentially solve a robbery slash homicide from a while back. Of course, I have no idea why he thought I should have the gun, as if I wasn't going to call the police and give it to them. But maybe he really thought I wouldn't? No clue. I worked that overnight shift for about six months after that, but I hit a point where I wanted to change things up. So I moved to days at the same station.
Starting point is 00:31:33 Thankfully, nothing more like that has ever happened since. Neither to me, nor the poor souls that work the overnights there now. There have been other weird and creepy things for sure, but nothing quite like that. after all of the background, my story is going to get very chilling, very fast. I've always believed in past lives, and a large reason for that is because I grew up having memories and dreams of various past lives. I have also done past life regression a few times. I'm an old soul, and since I was little, I've been able to recount at least ten of them.
Starting point is 00:32:26 I've been here many times. The memories are just there. They always have been. They're so vivid and so detailed. One of my most memorable ones in particular was when I was a young girl living in medieval times. For my recurring dreams and memories, I was 15 at the time.
Starting point is 00:32:52 I was part of a super wealthy family. We had an estate on top of a hill and grew wheat. It was the largest estate, and a trail behind our large house led to a smaller village. Our weed field was between our house and the trail that led to the village. Our house looked on to endless landscapes, and it was beautiful. I believe a big land battle was going on at the time. Knights would come by a lot, and I always admired how handsome they were. We were ultra-religious, and I had my own Bible, and it was encased in silver with gemstones.
Starting point is 00:33:36 I read it every day. I remember feeling sad a lot. I had a sister who was 17, and I was the ugly sister. I had long brown hair that my mother were made always braided. My long hair wasn't the ugly. part, nor were my brown eyes. But I had small and squinting eyes, a large nose and uneven lips. My sister had long, dirty blonde hair, big blue eyes in a perfect face, and she was getting
Starting point is 00:34:08 married to the most handsome guy around, was also wealthy. I remember having a huge crush on him, but I supported my sister's marriage, and my mother and his family had arranged it between them. We both actually vied for him at one point. Our father was out fighting, and it was just my sister, mother, maid, and I. A few weeks after my sister got married, I was walking along the path behind our house when a handsome knight rode by. He was 16. He had light brown hair and brown eyes that lit hints of gold in the sunlight. He stopped his horse, hopped off, and started conversation with me. I remember wondering why he approached me, as I felt like ugly crap, but I went along with it.
Starting point is 00:35:01 He asked my age, I said 15. He complimented my dress and my hair. He had the most warm smile. There was just something about him. He then asked if I wanted to take a ride with him on his horse. course, and we did. We rode through the fields, and we watched the sunset. I remember over time we fell really deeply in love with one another. We wanted to get married. I remember my mother being oddly okay with this. He had to leave for battle and said that he would be back in a week. He promised
Starting point is 00:35:40 that we would be married when he got home, and that that was the last of the hardships and the battle. I believe the battle was coming to an end. Except, he never came back. News got back to me from one of his battle buddies, and I was devastated. I was so devastated that I actually got sick, and that's how I died about a month later. I know this sounds like some made-up, cliche, medieval love story, but it's not. I'm 27 now, almost 28,
Starting point is 00:36:15 and this past life has haunted me for probably at least 15 years. I felt symptoms of sickness, sadness, every time I dreamt about it or remembered it, up until I met my now husband. Mind you, I have brown hair and blue eyes in this life, and he has dark brown hair, and, you guessed it, brown eyes that light up gold in the sun. This will be important. Well, my husband, who was my fiancé at the time, we got married this June. As an aside, congratulations to you both.
Starting point is 00:36:54 Went on a short mini-trip for Valentine's Day this past February to a city that I used to live in for a few years. I wanted to take him to this steakhouse that I always used to go to, as it was so delicious. There are many rooms to this steakhouse, and we sat in a room that I hadn't. sat in before. As we were sitting in our dim-lit room enjoying our stakes, I looked to my left. On the wall was a row of large pictures and landscapes, not paintings, but real pictures, of centuries-old estates, medieval castles, and stone mills. Everything was from that era.
Starting point is 00:37:39 My eyes stumbled upon one picture in particular, and I froze. My heart started beating real. fast, and my blood ran cold. On the wall was my house from this past life. Everything to the exact tea. Mind you, I had never told my husband about this past life. I look back over at my husband, who was staring at me so deep into my eyes, and so intently from across the table.
Starting point is 00:38:09 He was giving me a look that I had never seen before. The first thing he blurts out, I've dreamt about it too. My eyes widened, and I almost choked on my stake. What? We've oddly always been so in sync and deeply connected. I always describe our love as one that transcends space and time, so I believe it's why he could tell that I had both dreamt about it and had memories of the place by the way I was looking at it.
Starting point is 00:38:42 We don't need to speak to read each other's minds. He says, Yeah, I used to dream about it all the time. I said, it was my house in one of my past lives. He then responded, It wasn't my house, but I was there all the time. I said, I think, visiting me.
Starting point is 00:39:06 And he said, I believe so. He held this stare. I looked at him back straight in the eyes, and in this dim-lit room, his brown eyes were glowing hints of gold. They normally only do this in the sun. And then I put it together. He was the night that I had fallen deeply in love with. I had always felt such a feeling of one thousand years of familiarity when we lay down, and gaze into each other's eyes.
Starting point is 00:39:38 And he had, too. We had told each other this in those moments. And for me, it wasn't your normal cliche, Wow, we are so close, I feel like I've known you for a thousand years, kind of feeling. But rather, we've been through a lot together. We are finally reunited. You're with me again. You came back, and with you, I am home.
Starting point is 00:40:05 Kind of feeling. And I never knew why I oddly felt that specific way. And now, I feel. finally knew why. He has always felt the exact same way. We continue talking. I told him what I remembered and he told me all of his memories. It was the exact same story, except mine was from my point of view, and his was from his point of view.
Starting point is 00:40:32 We had lived together. He also told me the way that he died. Someone had sliced his shoulder with a sword during battle, and towards the end of the quick, slice, the end of the sword hit his jugular. Now we also know why he lives with chronic shoulder pain. It's the same shoulder, too.
Starting point is 00:40:53 Only the front of the house and the left side was showing as well as the field in the front. So, we continued on about what was behind it and what everything looked like. We just continued with, yep, to each other's description, and that's exactly it.
Starting point is 00:41:12 We had remembered what everything behind the house looked like. The trails, the millhouse, the wheatfield, the height of the wheat field, the village, identically. Once we got back to the state that we live in, I purchased markers and a notepad. I suggested that we both draw out on different pages of what everything looked like, just for fun for further confirmation. We faced each other so that we couldn't see what each other were drawing, but I noticed that we were both using the exact same colors. Once we finished, we turned the pages around, and, what do you know, identical drawings. I knew past lives were real, but this was further confirmation.
Starting point is 00:42:03 I fell even more deeply in love with my husband in that moment, and I believe he did too. our deep connection grew Now, if that wasn't crazy enough, we were speaking further on past lives that night after the drawing and he told me that he had dreamt multiple times of being a photographer. The year was 1942, and it was World War II, and he had a memory of traveling a lot for pictures to submit to a newspaper.
Starting point is 00:42:34 He said that he was a journalist. He said he had round-shaped glass, He has glasses in this life, too, but not round-shaped, and that his wife had short, brown, curly hair, and blue eyes. He also mentioned having a son, a daughter, and then another son. I said, while getting even more goosebumps, that's funny. I did pass life regression once, and I was a woman in World War II in the year of 1942, and I worked for a newspaper. My husband had glasses and traveled for photography and submitted them to me.
Starting point is 00:43:12 He was a journalist. I had a son, a daughter, and then a son. And I had brown curly hair and blue eyes. Both of our appearances were mentioned as important earlier, because I had the exact same hair and eyes in our World War II life as I do now. And he had the exact same eyes in our medieval life. It's also probably partially why there's so much familiarity there, apart from the soul connection and matching energetic in-sync frequencies. All we could do was laugh at this point.
Starting point is 00:43:51 Another past life together. And I'm sure there's more we have yet to uncover. We've been together through several past lives somehow making our way back to each other each time. and falling in love immediately all over again. We are two intertwined souls of this universe that somehow let no circumstances keep us from finding our way back together, again and again and again. And I get to be part of something so beautiful.
Starting point is 00:44:26 And, at the end of this life, I know that I will be with him again in the future ones. Hi, Raven. I discovered your channel a few months ago and really enjoy your content. There will be three separate stories here, as they are all very short. The first one happened over 18 years ago. At the time, I was working a night audit shift for a hotel right outside the city of Pittsburgh. This particular night was busy for us, as it was New Year's Eve.
Starting point is 00:45:08 Lots of people were coming in and out of the main lobby for pretty much the whole night, going to and from their parties, or to the bars, and it was a busy night for me. Around 1 a.m. or so, a tall, thin man came in, appearing to be in distress and out of breath. He approached the front desk, which I was standing behind, and he told me that he needed a cab. His tone was urgent, but I couldn't figure out why. He didn't mention his car breaking down or where he was going either. so I wasn't sure why he needed a cab exactly. He also failed to give me a name and a room number,
Starting point is 00:45:50 so I didn't know if the man was staying with us. Come to think of it, why did he ask a hotel for a cab when there was a 24-hour gas station right up the road? It became obvious quickly that he was not a guest at our hotel, so I was suspicious, yet I wondered him out of my hair, so I figured I would call a cab and have him wait outside. Again, this was a very busy and stressful night for me, and besides that I was suspicious and figured calling a cab for him might diffuse him.
Starting point is 00:46:25 Anyway, after he asked for a cab, I sat down and lifted the receiver to my ear and started to dial yellow cab, but stopped after the man said something else to interrupt me. You aren't calling the police, are you? he asked. I glanced up at him. My pulse raced when I saw the menacing in his eyes, and his face was beat red. I leaned back in my chair, unsure of what the man would do.
Starting point is 00:46:54 I denied calling the police to him, but the man continued to stare me down. Don't lie to me, he said. Again, I denied it, but it was clear that he didn't believe me. When he finally turned around and stormed out, relief washed over me, even though he called me an expletive as he walked through the door. I could easily let the cussing-me-out part roll off my back knowing he was gone, and thankfully would never come back. In retrospect, there's no telling what the man would do if there hadn't been so many people around to witness it. He may have just been a man drunk on New Year's Eve
Starting point is 00:47:34 looking to get home. On the other hand, working the night shift had made me familiar with the smell of alcohol on someone's breath, and I don't recall smelling it. He may have been on something stronger, something that may have made him aggressive. Either way, in that situation, it made working the night shift each night by me for so long, all the scarier. The next story took place about four years after the first one. It was 2010, and again I had the night audit position. This time at a different hotel, about 12 minutes from Pittsburgh International Airport. This hotel had a business center where our guests could print up their boarding passes for their flights.
Starting point is 00:48:21 One night, a man came in around 3 a.m. and said he needed to use a computer. I had my suspicions, but I gave him directions to the business center anyway. It's down the hall in the left, I told him. I figured giving him the benefit of the doubt was a better report. than being suspicious without legit cause. He thanked me and went down, trying to get in but couldn't because he had no key. He returned a few minutes later and said, it's locked. You'll need your room key to access the room, I responded.
Starting point is 00:48:58 I don't think you understand. I'm not a guest at this hotel. I then immediately informed him that the business center is only for our guests. He shook his head. It'd only take a few minutes. I just need to do one thing. Sorry, I said. But if you're not a guest here, you'll have to leave. I waited silently for a long minute,
Starting point is 00:49:23 before the man left the premises and didn't come back. The encounter wasn't all that scary, but it still creeped me out. I wondered why the guy, being a non-guest, would come into some hotel and ask to use a computer. just out of the blue, especially in the middle of the night like that. This last story will be brief. That same night, another man came in and approached the front desk.
Starting point is 00:49:52 He looked anxious and fumbled for words for a bit, before managing to spit out that he needed to use the bathroom. Well, I was one for zero in my strange encounters for the night, but I didn't want to push my luck, so I let him use it. He walked to the bathroom, which was in the hall beside our front desk, and then left without incident. It was uneventful in the end, but I couldn't help but wonder if the guy had planned on doing something to me, but maybe chickened out at the last minute. What would he have done?
Starting point is 00:50:26 Possibly held me at gunpoint to rob me? And I didn't want to think of the other possibilities. The encounters I had with strangers that night, and the first one, are reminders that we're not always safe during the night shift, even if we feel that we are, especially when you work with the public all night, as I did in those years. If you're listening to this, and you work at night,
Starting point is 00:50:52 remember to always be on your guard. In fact, it's better to have someone working with you instead of just being by yourself, because when you're in that situation, someone might come along and try to take advantage of you. Don't be fooled into thinking that just because you work in a well-lit area and are around other 24-hour businesses, that you aren't vulnerable to horrible people. This happened in the heart of fall, the season where nature begins to wither away as we all prepare for that cold grasp of winter. I'd always loved this time of the year, the cold breeze, a crunch of the leaves underfoot,
Starting point is 00:51:45 and that anticipation of the holidays right around the corner. I believe it was in the year 2002 that this happened. It was during this time that I experienced something that sent shivers down my spine, something that I still cannot personally explain 20-plus years later. I grew up in a very small town, in Ohio, where everyone knew everyone. This may sound weird to some people, considering how everything seems so modernized nowadays, but my family owned, and still owns, a modest-sized apple orchard, which was our livelihood.
Starting point is 00:52:28 Every fall we would harvest the apples for sale, and a majority of the townsfolk would come by for the fresh produce. It was a tradition, as far back as my great-grandparents, according to my dad at least, and it was a sign that fall had truly arrived in our little slice of the world. That year, the harvest was a good one. The trees were covered with the red and gold apples, and we were thrilled. One evening, my dad asked me to grab a basket and to do a final check on the far end of the orchard, to make sure that we hadn't missed any trees. I, of course, did what he asked.
Starting point is 00:53:10 I grabbed a basket, and I headed out into the deepening afternoon sky. As I strolled through the rows of apple trees, I enjoyed the lovely atmosphere. The wind was blowing through the trees, causing that calming, rustling sounds to reverberate around me. And there were also a few birds, chirping, and randomly singing. As I reached the far end where the older trees stood, I felt an eerie calm. It was almost too quiet out there as far as I could tell. I made it a point to just quickly check the trees, because I was feeling rather anxious about being out there. I went from far left and started heading towards the right, checking for stragglers or anything missed previously.
Starting point is 00:53:59 As I was picking a few of the apples that were still strung up, I heard something that sounded like a whisper. It was faint, seemingly carried by the autumn breeze. I looked around thinking that it may have been my dad or my brother trying to mess with me, but I didn't see anyone or anything around. It was just me in the trees. I decided that I was just hearing things, and immediately went back. to doing what I was doing. After a few moments, I heard it again, this time a bit more clear.
Starting point is 00:54:38 I pulled away from the tree and walked around for a moment, trying to see if I could figure out what was making the noise, or more likely who. Curiosity got the better of me. I set the basket down, and I took a few steps out into the orchard and called out. Hello? I don't know what I was there.
Starting point is 00:54:59 thinking or what I was going to do if there was someone out in the orchard. I wasn't exactly a large 11-year-old, but I was wanting to figure out what exactly was going on out there. I stood there for a few moments, waiting to hear anyone to call back. But I didn't. I shook my head and walked back to my basket, grabbing it so that I could finish up what I was doing and go back to the house. As soon as I grabbed the basket, I heard it again. I was a good. I was a But this time I could actually hear what it was saying. The whisper was deep, and almost like a growl, but its message was the opposite of that aggressive manner in which it was said.
Starting point is 00:55:44 I stood there and heard this voice say, Help me. The problem was that this wasn't just a normal person out in the orchard asking for help. This sounded like some kind of demonic, raspy and chie. chilling voice as it called out to me. I'm not going to lie. Hearing those words in that tone was enough to bring me back down to earth, quicker than anything else ever has,
Starting point is 00:56:12 and I panicked. I dropped my basket, and I ran back to the house as fast as I could. I burst through the back door, and I know for a fact that I was sobbing as I yelled for my dad. He ran down the stairs in a hurry, asking me what the hell was going on. I'm not sure what words actually got out of my mouth at that point, but I know that I told him that I'd heard somebody say something like,
Starting point is 00:56:40 help me out in the orchard. At least, I think I got that out of my mouth. My dad nodded, told me to stay there, grabbed his shotgun, and then ran out the back door in a sprint. I stood there in the kitchen, literally shaking, crying for God knows what reason. And I started to worry that whatever was out there might ambush my dad. But at the same time, I was thinking that he had his gun, and I know that he was one hell of a shot,
Starting point is 00:57:14 so if anything happened, he would be okay. I was pretty clearly a confused mess, but again, I was 11, so I didn't exactly have a lot of life experience. outside of helping on the farm in our small town. After 15 minutes, my dad came trudging back through the back door with a bit of an angry look on his face. I remember him walking in and saying, Don't do that. It's not funny to joke around like that. I told him that I wasn't joking, that I heard someone say help me at the end of the orchard, that it actually happened. And he just shook his head saying,
Starting point is 00:57:57 Well, if you really heard someone, they aren't there anymore, so nothing to worry about. He told me that I needed to finish picking on that tree that I was at, and that dinner would be ready in a few minutes. I just relented and walked back out into the orchard, which was now starting to get dark, to get my basket and get back to the house. I got back to the tree, grabbed a couple more of the straggling apples, and started walking back. As I turned to walk back, I swear that I heard that creepy voice again, once more, saying, Help me. But this time I just chose to ignore it. I made my way back to the house with my eyes closed and just thinking,
Starting point is 00:58:45 It's all in your head. Dad says there's nothing there. And that was it. Nothing more really happened, and after that, I did everything I possibly could to avoid. that section of the orchard. To this day, I will not go back there, and when I get out to help my parents with their trees, I do so close to the house, at the younger front trees. I don't know what it was that was whispering to me. I don't know what it wanted from me, and I have no idea what its intentions were, but I know that it was there, and I know that it was very... Real. I am a female.
Starting point is 00:59:40 When I was 16, I lived in the Valley area of Los Angeles. This was many years ago. As I explained in another story at this time, the best part of my week was Saturday nights when I would meet my friends at our beloved under-21 nightclub to dance the night away. The vast majority of the time I'd have to get a ride there and back. I didn't have my own call.
Starting point is 01:00:06 until a couple of years later when I was in college. But occasionally, a family friend would lend me his car, and on one of these Saturday nights, he did. I felt so independent and free to be able to take myself to the club, and to be able to leave when I wanted. On the night of the story, I drove to the club and had a typically great time, dancing with my group of friends to music like Prince and Earthwind and Fire. At the end of the night, I got into my borrowed car and headed toward home. In case you don't know, the San Fernando Valley is made up of many suburban towns. None are really small, and some are very nice. And, as you would expect, some are less nice with higher crime. I lived with my family in a medium town in the northern part of the valley.
Starting point is 01:01:02 It was neither very nice nor very bad. with medium homes on mostly respectable, if not professionally, manicured lawns. And being the greater Los Angeles area, there were many differing routes I could take to get home, whether freeways, highways, or city streets. It was after midnight at this time, but most routes that I could take would still be bustling on a Saturday night. I'd had my fill of loud music, laughter, and chattering voices, so I honestly had my honest opted for a quieter route home. I took some busy streets and then veered into some quiet neighborhoods that would take me home.
Starting point is 01:01:42 If I drove through some quiet house-lined streets, I would get home a little faster, and I was tired. GPS wasn't in use at this time, nor were cell phones, so I had to rely on maps or just knowing the chosen route. I had heard bad things about a town called Pekoyama, but I'd only been through it during the day, maybe once. Still, I knew how to get through to shave a few minutes off of my time. And besides, being someone used to walking or taking buses,
Starting point is 01:02:17 I felt blissfully perfectly safe now in a well-running car with gas in the tank. I was safer at this moment than at almost any other time. At least, that's what I believed. Still, I was a teenage girl alone after a child. midnight in an area that I was unfamiliar with, and naive enough to think that nothing bad could happen to me in a locked car. I entered a residential street in Pekoyma, and only had to go a couple of blocks to get to the next town and then to my own. As I slowly drove down a dark, quiet avenue of modest homes, there were streetlights illuminating the unknown. And this also helped with my feeling of
Starting point is 01:03:01 invincibility. As I smiled to myself at this, I started to notice a few people walking down the street toward me. At first, I didn't give it much notice. My left turn out of Pekoyama was coming up just ahead anyways. But as I got closer, I quickly realized it wasn't just a few people. It was a gang of approximately 12 to 15 men. And they weren't casually walking down the sidewalk. They They were aggressively running down the middle of the street, and right towards me. I suddenly had to slow to almost a stop so as to not hit anyone, and this is when they all got a real good look at me, looks, which turned instantly more excited and animated as they realized I was just a young girl, alone.
Starting point is 01:03:51 Many exchanged smiling glances between them, and others were whooping, whistling, and calling things out to me. Smoothly, effortlessly as if they had rehearsed ahead of time, several of them stopped me completely by standing right in front of my car, even putting hands on the hood as others walked around to my driver and passenger doors and pulled the handles to open the door. I didn't always lock the doors when I drove, and cars didn't have auto doorlocks back then, but I was thanking God that I had the foresight to do so on this night. Of course, it all happened very fast, but in my shock and terror it felt like slow motion. So quickly adjusting my mind from carefree to possibly being abducted or worse by this large
Starting point is 01:04:40 group of men, they had me trapped. I couldn't drive forward nor reverse out of there, because at this time, the car was completely surrounded by these men. And as a couple of guys picked up sticks or other objects to try to bust in my windows, I knew that I had to think clearly and act fast. I did the only thing I could think of. I started driving forward. Having blocked my car completely, I could see the surprise in some of their faces, as they knew they had to move out of my way or risk being run over. I had immediately decided that if they didn't move, I would run them over.
Starting point is 01:05:22 All of the men standing in front of my car quickly jumped out of the way, and I sped up as I took the left turn out of Pekoyma. I did make it home safely, but my heart didn't stop beating out of my chest for the rest of the night. Of course, I thought about it for a long time after as well. I felt proud of the way I'd handled the situation, but I kept running through possibilities of what I could have done differently. What if they didn't get out of the way and I actually had to hit someone with my car? How would I have lived with myself? What if one of the men had pointed a gun at me? I'm very happy that it turned out the way that it did, but it could have turned out so much worse.
Starting point is 01:06:07 So, I hope we all keep in mind that we're not quite invincible inside a car, no matter how cozy, even heated leather seats may make us feel. Dark, quiet shortcuts are not a good idea, especially late at night, and always drive with your doors locked. So Pekoyma gang that tried to grab and do who knows what to a teenage girl, driving alone late one Saturday night. It's been a long time since then, and I'm very glad that I didn't meet any of you ever again. This happened about a decade ago when I was 19. At the time, I rented an apartment in a west-side neighborhood of Chicago with my sister, who was a year older than me. We both worked hospitality jobs in the city, and we both had pretty robust social lives.
Starting point is 01:07:18 So it was fairly typical for one or both of us to get home at weird hours or be out all night. I would take the pink line to and from work. At this point in my life, I was pretty used to being cat-called while walking down the street. I'd been flashed on public transportation a few times. Men would bump into me from behind on packed trains. Basically the usual amount of sexual harassment for a young woman living in the city. Not much phased me. Of course it was uncomfortable, but I was never truly terrified.
Starting point is 01:07:54 Until one night. That night I was coming home from work well after midnight. The train car I was in had been empty for most of the ride. One stop before mine, a man gets on and sits down in my car. Reflexively, I look up as this new passenger entered the car. We made eye contact. Immediately I felt the hairs stand up on the back of my neck. I knew that I made a mistake, that this might be interpreted as some sort of invitation.
Starting point is 01:08:26 I quickly looked away, but I felt him watching me as the train pulled away from the station. Since my stop was only one stop away, I decided to wait until the last second to stand up and exit the car, just in case he tried to follow me. Well, he did. He hung back about 30 feet at first, but I felt the gap between us closing and his footsteps were getting louder. Then I heard him trying to catch my attention, saying, saying, hey. He catches up to me, and he starts speaking to me like any other man trying to chat me up would.
Starting point is 01:09:04 I still couldn't shake the feeling of genuine fear I had since first locking eyes with him in the train car. He asked where I'm headed, and I told him that I'm going home. He asked if there was anyone waiting up for me this late, and I told him my boyfriend was. In reality, I knew my sister was working a night shift, and that I was going home to an empty apartment. Then he pulled his shirt to the side, exposing a gun in his waistband. In a joking tone, he said that he would fight my boyfriend for me. I laughed along and just kept walking.
Starting point is 01:09:42 We were walking down Surmac, which is a pretty busy street, even that late at night. I knew I couldn't let him follow me to my apartment, so when I came to the Cross Street where I showed him. have turned, I just kept going straight. Eventually I had walked far enough that I passed the stop where he had originally got on the train. He had walked alongside me for a while, and then dropped back and followed me for a while and eventually stopped. I thought I would be relieved once I'd shaken him, but as soon as I couldn't see him anymore, my fear only heightened. I still had to double back to my apartment somehow, and the trains had stopped right.
Starting point is 01:10:24 running at 2 a.m. I figure he knew I'd walked too far and would have to turn around, so I thought it was possible he was posting up somewhere on Cermak, waiting for me. I turned off and walked a few blocks north, and then started my one-mile walk back west towards my apartment. The walk-back was excruciating. Since I was now off the main road, it was much darker, and there was absolutely nobody around. I kept telling myself that I had to get home safe for my sister, because she'd never be able to live with herself if something happened to me. I kept putting one foot in front of the other, and when I finally made it into my apartment
Starting point is 01:11:07 and locked the door behind me, I collapsed into a puddle of tears. Ten years later on, I've never felt fear again like I did that night, and to this day, I've never told my sister about it. I was an elementary schoolteacher for about 15 years, and one thing I learned about children, very young ones, is that they have no filter. They will say whatever is on their mind, and for the most part, it's true,
Starting point is 01:11:53 unless they fear they may be in trouble, of course. With this in mind, I have heard many, many stories from kids, some quite alarming and just bizarre. I wanted to share one with you that I remember quite well that has stuck with me all of these years. This was when I taught first grade. There was a little girl that I will call Sally. Sally started class about halfway through the school year, as her family had just moved to the area. I do what I normally do and introduce a little bit.
Starting point is 01:12:27 myself to her outside of the class, and ask if she would like to share something with the class, or just introduce her from her seat. I didn't like to put kids on the spot if they didn't need to be. She asked to do it from her seat, as she was very shy, and it showed. Everyone was very kind when they looked at her and said hi, and some kids even tried to invite her to play with them. She would refuse, however, and would watch them from the side,
Starting point is 01:13:00 typically just singing to herself. Finally, we did a team activity, so I did push her a little to intermingle with her classmates, and she actually became good friends with another girl. At one point, while they were at recess, Sally came up to me after scraping her knee and asked to clean it up. I took her into the restroom to get a rag and then back to the classroom, as I kept my own supply of bandages.
Starting point is 01:13:29 As I helped her get all fixed up, I asked her if she was liking her class and her new friends. She smiled and nodded at me. I didn't say much else. And then she said a bit more than I expected, and it left me confused. She told me, at first I was scared because in my last life,
Starting point is 01:13:51 the kids were very mean to me. I, of course, just assume. she meant her last school, and maybe she had problems there. It was upsetting to hear about because she was a really smart and kind girl, and I couldn't see any reason as to why someone would choose to bully her. So, I told her, I'm sorry to hear that. That wasn't very nice of them, was it?
Starting point is 01:14:15 Then she continued talking. Yeah, they made fun of me because my mommy was poor, and I didn't have a daddy. They threw food at me and pulled my hair, and sometimes cut up my clothes. Again, I was thinking that this was awful, and it broke my heart to hear it. But I was confused, because I had met her parents, both her mom and dad. Of course, her dad could have been a stepfather, but I don't think he was. They looked way too similar.
Starting point is 01:14:48 His mom was also a stay-at-home mom because they had an older son that was in about the sixth grade and a newborn. So neither the part of her mom being poor or her not having a dad made sense to me. So I asked her about the one that was a little more obvious. But you have a tad, right? Wasn't he with you and your mom at conferences? I asked her. Yeah, but that's my new mommy and daddy. In my old life, I didn't have a daddy.
Starting point is 01:15:20 At that point, I just agreed with her and finished up so that she could get back to her recess. It left me wondering for a little bit as to why she kept phrasing it as her old life. I thought maybe she was adopted, or in foster care, because of how she briefly described her old life, but again, she looked like a spitting image of her father. I brushed it off as kids just being kids and then let it go. But then, another event occurred with her that added more to the story. I had partnered the kids up for a class assignment, and since Sally had become close to this one girl, I put them together. As I walked around to check on all the kids, I stopped at each table as I listened to their process. When I went to Sally and Katie's table, I asked how they were doing, and Sally thanked me for letting her work with Katie.
Starting point is 01:16:17 I said you're welcome, and I asked them about their project. After some time, Sally again mentioned how much nicer this school was, and all the kids and teachers. This time I asked her if she remembered what the school that she went to prior was, and without skipping a beach, she told me. It was a saint's name school for girls. I had never heard of this school, and I had lived in this area my whole life, so it seemed to cement my idea that she went to a different school in a different school in a different school. different area. I asked her if she knew where this school was, and she said that it was far away, and that people talked differently at that school. I was trying to decide on what to say or ask next, but Sally continued talking for me. I didn't like it there. The girls were very mean to me
Starting point is 01:17:11 about my clothes. So I told her that her clothes were very cute, and Katie said that she liked her shirt. Katie was always a very kind girl to everyone, so I appreciated her help. But then Sally explained more. I had to wear a special skirt and shirt, and the other girls had a lot of them, but I only had the one, and it was always dirty. They made fun of me and ripped my skirt. I apologized, and Katie hugged her, and changed the subject saying how much she liked her and seemed to cheer her.
Starting point is 01:17:49 her up. I again walked away, reminding myself to look up this school when I had the chance. I had written down the name of the school, but after that, it was out of sight, out of mind, when you have a class full of young kids. We also have classroom duties, and those selected change weekly. I chose randomly by pulling sticks from a jar, and Sally was chosen to help wipe down all the tables. This was done before they went to recess. So, as she cleaned them, I cleared the board, and due to our previous conversation a day prior, I complimented her on her outfit. She thanked me, and then thanked me for being a much nicer teacher.
Starting point is 01:18:34 I said you're welcome and thanked her for being such a great help. That's when she sat down and started bawling. I immediately went to console her and asked what was wrong, and what she said has always stuck to me. everybody's so nice here, not like they were in my old life. I was afraid they would all hurt me here, too. Even you, but you're my favorite teacher. This has obviously affected her, possibly even traumatized her,
Starting point is 01:19:07 and I wanted to bring it up to her parents in case they weren't aware of what may have happened to her. As I knelt in front of her, I asked if she wanted to talk about it, and she was more than willing to share. She explained again how she was teased because she only had one uniform that she would wear the entire week, and that the girls would throw stuff on her clothes and her hair, only to make fun of her when she came in the next day wearing the same stained shirt. She even explained how the teachers would always turn a blind eye to the bullying,
Starting point is 01:19:42 and only told her to stop complaining. Then, she explained how she ended up here. One day, as I was walking to class, the girls started following me and pulled on my skirt. I yielded them to stop, and I tried to get away, but my foot slipped, and I fell down the long stairs, and I hit my head a lot. When I stopped, I couldn't move and my whole body hurt, and then I got tired and just went to sleep. Then it was dark for a very long time. but I got a new mommy and daddy, and they're very nice, and they have money, and everyone is so nice here. I was in awe as I listened to Sally's story.
Starting point is 01:20:31 I tried my best to hold back the sadness and shock in my eyes, and just told her that I was sorry that it happened to her, and explained that she was safe now. I even told her to let me know if she's ever hurt or bullied here, because I was really, refuse to let any of that slide. She cheered up pretty quickly after that, and I dismissed her to go play while I finished up. Still, I didn't quite understand what I heard. Yeah, it sounded like she was bullied, but after a fall like she described, you would think she would have substantial and possibly permanent injuries.
Starting point is 01:21:11 Or maybe even have died. And that's when it hit me. I went back to my computer and looked up that school that she'd mentioned. That school did exist. It was an all-girls school for ages 3 to 18, but it wasn't even in the U.S. Part of me wants to say that I think it was in Ireland, but I might be wrong. But the crazy part about all of that, it had been closed for years, way before she was even born. How would she have known about that school?
Starting point is 01:21:46 After our little moment that day, Sally didn't bring up her old life again. She grew into a very happy and playful girl, much like Katie, and she wanted to befriend everyone that came through the door. I wanted to ask her parents about her story to see if she ever talked to them about it, but since it didn't seem to affect her anymore, I didn't feel it was relevant. I didn't want her to possibly relive something if she didn't have to. And since it wasn't interfering with her life or school, I thought it was best to leave it alone. After looking into it more, I've just determined that poor Sally may have still had memories of a past life,
Starting point is 01:22:31 and maybe I helped that part of her move on, so that she could have a happier and better second chance at life. I'm adding a quick warning to this story, as this is one of these stories that does contain very sensitive stories. subject matter, specifically sexual abuse. The OP also added a trigger warning at the beginning, and I will read it, but this warning is included as well. Warning, this contains the very touchy subject of sexual abuse. Don't read it if it might trigger you. I care for all women and men who have been victimized.
Starting point is 01:23:20 Just remember that we are strong and we are survivors. I'm a female. When I was 16, I wasn't very happy. I hated school I didn't have a boyfriend The only thing I looked forward to was Saturday nights at my favorite disco slash teen nightclub
Starting point is 01:23:38 I didn't have a car And I had a few friends who would drive me But I would be devastated if I missed a week It seems so trivial now But it was all I felt I had going on in my life at the time So occasionally when I couldn't get a ride My mom would drop me off as I promised her one of my friends would drive me home.
Starting point is 01:24:01 That worked for well over a year. My friends were always there, and one of them always was able to drive me home. Until one night. On this night, I asked my friend L, she couldn't that night. So I asked my friend Y. She was riding with L. For whatever reason, C couldn't either. My friend T also said no.
Starting point is 01:24:25 The same with A and J. crazy that this had never happened before. I couldn't call my mom to come get me because I knew she wouldn't let me go out again for a long time. And sad, desperate people do dumb, desperate things. By the end of the night, I approached the only person I knew that I hadn't yet asked for a ride. I knew him, but we weren't close friends.
Starting point is 01:24:51 He agreed. But he wasn't driving. He was riding with two other guys, whom I, didn't know. I was hesitant, but desperate. I got into the back seat with the guy that I knew, and I immediately tried to befriend the guys in the front with many, thank you, and, oh, you're a lifesaver.
Starting point is 01:25:12 Almost immediately, they came back with, You owe us. We're going to drive up to the mountains, where you'll repay our kindness. The guy I knew in the back seat with me didn't say anything. He didn't feel that he had to be. had a voice between these particular guys, and he was a coward. I was on my own.
Starting point is 01:25:34 We'd only gone about a mile at this point, and I told them, No, let me out of the car. They laughed, drove me back to the nightclub, let me out of the car, and drove away, continuing to laugh. By this time, the club was completely closed. I was all alone in the dark parking lot out front. My favorite place had never felt so ominous before, with nothing but a single streetlight. This was many years ago, and cell phones weren't really a thing.
Starting point is 01:26:07 I would have to walk, who knows, how far in the dark, to find a phone booth, and there was nothing around this place. I had no money, and buses didn't run this late. And did I mention that this was on the outskirts of Los Angeles, a huge area. with some dark, sketchy, deserted places, especially after midnight. I was in such a place. Just as I was about to panic, a car drove into the lot and a man got out,
Starting point is 01:26:39 ignoring me and walking up to the door to see if the club was still open. I told him it was closed. Then, since he had initially ignored me, I felt that he couldn't be a creep. He wasn't looking for a 16-year-old girl. right? So, I asked him if he would drive me home.
Starting point is 01:27:00 Stupid, I know. And the adult me is horrified and ashamed that I took such risks back then, and forever grateful that I survived. Anyway, I thought this guy was alone, but as we approached the car, I saw that there were two other men in it. If I'd known, I wouldn't have asked for a ride, and I was immediately regretting the question.
Starting point is 01:27:24 The guy leaned in to talk to the other men, and they had a short discussion about me that I couldn't hear. Now, this is relevant. They were all African-American men, so I felt that they would feel that I was racist or disrespecting them if I changed my mind now. It mattered to me to show them that I wasn't racist, so I got into the back seat. It was a two-door car, so I couldn't. have jumped out if I needed to. Incredibly dumb decision. I know.
Starting point is 01:28:00 I tried the same tactic that hadn't worked with the first men, thinking I would befriend them. I told them that all my friends had left, and I was going to ride with some other guys, but they were talking about taking me to the mountains and such. I hoped it would inspire sympathy for the poor, dumb teenager. It did not. The driver was clearly the boss. He had very direct, shot. sharp and memorable eyes that I knew I would never forget.
Starting point is 01:28:29 He said, We were kind of thinking the same thing. I froze, terrified, and trapped in the back seat without a door with three complete strangers who were possibly going to assault me, maybe kill me. He continued with, We're going to take you to a parking lot,
Starting point is 01:28:49 and then you're going to have sex with us. He then stopped in a dark parking lot, few miles from the club. As he got out of the car and took me with him, he said to the other two men, Don't say my name. He threw me out onto some concrete steps. I was wearing a short dress, so it was easy for him to get to me. I tried to fight, but I knew it was completely futile.
Starting point is 01:29:17 He began to assault me, and I cried and prayed out loud. As I tried not to think of what was happening, I just kept praying aloud. And suddenly, he stopped. He said, I'm not going to finish. I'm going to let you go. It's because you were praying.
Starting point is 01:29:37 He then got into the car and drove off, not letting the other men touch me. As they drove away, I was still terrified, thinking they might shoot me just to get rid of the witness. Thankfully, they just left me crying, dirty, and traumatized. And still,
Starting point is 01:29:54 in the same situation. I still didn't have a way home, and I lived a good 20 or more miles away. I finally got myself up and began walking into the darkness, crying, achy, and bruised, until I saw the lights of an all-night diner ahead in the distance. I just went towards the lights, not knowing what to do, except to make it to the lights.
Starting point is 01:30:22 When I got there, the place, wasn't busy, which made me feel relieved, as I knew that I must look a scary mess. I went to the phone and I still wouldn't call my mom. I knew she'd be asleep and especially now that it was over an hour since I should have been home, she'd be angry, and she would take away my club privileges. As nightmarish as that night had been, going out one night a week was still all I had left in my life. See, at that time in my life, I consciously believed and repeated to myself
Starting point is 01:30:59 that if I completely disappeared off the earth, no one, not even my busy single mom or brother who hated me, no one would even notice that I was gone. So, I called one last good friend with a car. He lived all the way in Pasadena, far from where I was. He answered, but said that he was asleep, and that the drive was just too far.
Starting point is 01:31:26 Even though I told him that something really bad had happened to me, he refused. See, the lack of people who cared deeply about me was part of why I felt I had nothing in my life. So I did the last thing that I could do. I sat at a table and talked to the restaurant manager. Since she was a stranger to me, I didn't mind telling her the whole story. Every awful thing that had happened that night.
Starting point is 01:31:54 She was appalled and very compassionate. She asked one of her most trusted employees to drive me home, and he did. I arrived safely at home, and I was never as happy to be there as I was in that moment. I never told any of my friends what happened to me that night, and to this day, my mom doesn't know. I felt so ashamed and stupid for making all the wrong decisions that night, and actually almost counted myself lucky that it hadn't been much worse. I didn't go to the police because I didn't want anyone to know, and anyway I had no way to identify those men.
Starting point is 01:32:37 I continued to go to that club, but only when I arranged for a ride home in advance. And here's the very weird denouma. Remember the friend that I'd called who wouldn't come get me? A couple weeks later, he told me that he'd heard I'd gotten a ride with Mark D, a member of a very famous singing family at the time. I looked at a photo I found of the group, and, indeed, I saw those sharp eyes that I would never forget. That's why he said to the two other guys, don't say my name. That's why he was the leader in that group of friends.
Starting point is 01:33:15 The one thing I will never understand, though, is how did he know my name? How did he tell someone who knew me that he had given me a ride? This was a very long time ago, like I said, 1981, to be exact. I'm a much different, strong, independent woman now. So these things don't hurt me to recall. I did always once to tell the world what the famous Mark D did to me, but I didn't. That's okay.
Starting point is 01:33:48 I would probably fully name him here if I thought it was allowed, but this is my first Reddit post and I don't know much. I just want all the young people now to know what I didn't know back then. Always listen to your gut. That cannot be overstated enough. And never ride with strangers. It sounds so simple, and situations like mine was
Starting point is 01:34:14 are all different. But your life is worth so much more than anything else. Like that stupid nightclub that I thought was so important then. Thank you for reading my story. I encountered this on the 2nd of January, two days ago when I was asleep in my room. I'm 18 female and I live in Singapore with my parents. I'm sorry if this story is long,
Starting point is 01:34:51 but I would appreciate it if you took your time to read. read, and comment your thoughts. In my family, it's only myself, 18, female, my mom, 38 female, and my stepdad, 40 male living in a small apartment. I have my own bedroom, as I'm an only child. My parents took the smaller room, and I had the master bedroom, which has a big window that is facing the back of our house. For my bedroom, there's a big space outside our window that's between every, and that's between
Starting point is 01:35:22 every apartment unit's here, so there's no way someone would unintentionally stand near my window. You have to walk in and go for a few turns before coming here. I eventually fell asleep around 11 p.m., and I forgot to close my blackout curtains from my window. Even though it's a frosted window, anyone can only see through it if they stood close to it for a closer look. At exactly 1.23 a.m., I checked the time when I woke up. I heard three loud knocks on my room window, which eventually woke me up as I'm a very light sleeper. At where I'm sleeping, my window is on the right corner and I can see whatever shadow that gets through it in the day or night.
Starting point is 01:36:09 On that night, I didn't switch on any of my lights, so it was total darkness, except for my table lamp that was shined on me at the highest brightness. At first, I was sleeping while facing my room door, which is on my left, so I had an automatic response to turn my head and look at what was knocking on my window. To my surprise, I saw a silhouette of a man's head that was clearly visible in my window. I had goosebumps, and I froze because I was unsure of what to do. As the curtain was wide open, so obviously that man could see through my window. Despite my parents' room being right next to mine, I went into shock and had to call my mom. She was asleep, to help me check if I was tripping and to close my curtains for me. I told her what I saw afterwards.
Starting point is 01:37:03 In the end, she advised me to sleep in the living room for the meantime to calm myself down. I felt really uneasy that night and I couldn't go back to sleep. Since I stayed awake that night, I heard three more knocks. coming from my bedroom at 3 a.m. Which, of course, I had to assume, had come from the window. Before this happened, my curtains were already closed and blocking my window's view. So I thought that it would be fine for me to go ahead and get a look at who or what knocked on the window.
Starting point is 01:37:37 The only difference this time is that the knock was louder, but slower, like the ones you would experience if you were in an old haunted house. come to think about it I wish that I had just stayed curious and stayed in my living room I had my face and hand holding on to the window since I had to get closer and clearer look since I didn't see a silhouette
Starting point is 01:38:00 when I was standing from a distance from the window and me still being paranoid from what happened hours before I saw a man who was about 1.8 meters standing outside my room window about four meters away, just standing and staring right at me, who was currently frozen in place at the window
Starting point is 01:38:22 when I saw him. He was wearing long gray pants and a black t-shirt, and he had really, really pale skin. It looked as if he had no expression when he saw me. By the time that happened, I wasn't really sure if it was the same man that had stood outside at around 1.30 a.m. As much as I was tired that night, I knew that I was not hearing things or seeing hallucinations. I was perfectly wide awake when I saw that man. Moral of the story, always check your windows before falling asleep.
Starting point is 01:38:59 And it's best to get blackout curtains to protect yourself. Of course, you could also guard your window with other protective measures. So, I never been the whole type to believe in. ghost stories, or the things that go bump in the night spiel. I've always been a kind of skeptical person, not because I think people like to lie about their experiences or anything, but because I've never personally had an experience, and I'm very evidence-oriented. But when I had an experience back in autumn of 2016, I kind of changed from a skeptic to someone that more or less believes in the the paranormal. I had just turned 17 about a week prior, which meant that this was in mid-October,
Starting point is 01:39:57 as my birthday is October 9th. It had just started to hit that point where the autumn air had that crisp bite to it, and the trees were showing off their fall colors. My mom and I were living in a rental, an old colonial house that year. It was just the two of us, as my dad had left us back whenever I was a kid. That house had character, to put it kindly. Creaky floorboards and windows that would whistle and rattle if the wind got too strong. I always thought it was atmospheric, perfect for that spooky autumn vibe, hot chocolate, layered sweater, and watching old movies.
Starting point is 01:40:37 I may have been a skeptic, but I still loved the season. That year was the first year where things would happen that would be weird, and creepy. The events would start off small, mainly lights flickering. The light in my bedroom would start to flicker at night. At first I blamed the wiring. The house was old as dirt, after all. I told my mom, and she mentioned that I needed to check the light,
Starting point is 01:41:07 and make sure the bulb was in the housing right and that nothing felt loose. I did, and nothing seemed off, so I just kind of decided to look. live with it. After a while, the flickering would be joined by the sounds of footsteps. They were soft, but deliberate. As soon as the light would start flickering, I would start to hear these soft footsteps of someone tiptoeing down the hallway toward my bedroom, but then stopping as they got to my door. At first I thought it was my mom, but I would open the door and she wouldn't be anywhere near in my room. In fact, she would be fast asleep.
Starting point is 01:41:50 I could even hear her snoring in the room across the hallway. The peak of all the weirdness actually happened one night during dinner. I think it was about a week or so after the footsteps started. My mom and I were sitting at our dining room table. We would actually sit and have dinner together frequently and sit at that dining room table. It was a colder autumn night, so my mom, had a little space heater in the dining room to keep us warm. We were sitting there eating dinner, having a nice chat about how the day had gone,
Starting point is 01:42:24 when the lights to the dining room randomly flicked off. We went from laughing and having a nice little chat to sitting silently in a room that was lit only by the light orange glow of the space heater. We both kind of paused, and I'm guessing we were trying to figure out what had happened. and I mentioned that I would check the light switch. I got up, went over to the switch, and sure enough, it was turned off. It was weird, but whatever. I just turned it back on, said that that was strange, and that was that.
Starting point is 01:43:00 So we thought. About three or four minutes later, it happened again. We were back to talking, and then all of a sudden it was dark. I sighed, and I mentioned to my mom that it was kind of annoying. and then asked why it was happening as I turned the light back on. After I hit the switch and turned back to my mom, her face was white as a sheet. I asked if she was okay, but she just kind of stared at me for a moment and then said, When the light shut off, I saw something.
Starting point is 01:43:37 I asked what it was that she saw, confused and a bit concerned. My mom wasn't usually like that. She said, It went dark, and then I saw eyes in the other room. Red eyes. Literally glowing red eyes. I chuckled slightly and mentioned that she probably just saw the reflection or glow of the heater, but she shook her head and said,
Starting point is 01:44:05 No, cute, I did not see a reflection. It was too high up. And these were bright, red glowing eyes. I once again tried to explain it logically, saying that it was probably nothing, that it was just a light in the other room, trying anything to dismiss this as anything unnatural. As soon as I said something like, Mom, calm down. I'm sure you're just seeing things. There was this major crashing sound that came from the kitchen. We both jumped, scared as hell at whatever that was. I ran into the kitchen to see what had happened,
Starting point is 01:44:46 and much to my surprise, the dish strainer was sitting on the ground, with the dishes all over the place, and several glasses and plates were shattered. I just stood there staring at the mess. My mom came in and quietly said, What the hell is going on? At this point, I went from not believing to being filled with adrenaline and thinking, My God, this place is haunted by something malicious.
Starting point is 01:45:16 There was no way for the distrainer to just fall off the counter. It wasn't at the edge. It was at least eight or so inches back and next to the sink. The only way for this to have fallen like that would have been for it to have been yanked or shoved off of the counter. We spent a long time cleaning up the shattered glass and ceramic. With how shattered things were, it was like everything was shoved off and then down to the ground, with immense force. The whole time I was cleaning up, I was just sitting there shivering, trying to piece together the whole situation.
Starting point is 01:45:56 But every time I would think about it, I would land on something paranormal. After that, the little things did not stop, but we never questioned it. It would click the lights off, open up cabinets randomly, but thankfully my mom said that she never saw the glowing red eyes again. And there was never anything as destructive as that moment. I honestly think it was my denial that had made this entity mad, though I don't know what had caused the activity in the first place. After that night, I didn't question any of it. I just accepted things that happened, undid whatever the spirits had done, like the lights and such, and would randomly acknowledge the spirit asking it to stop messing with me.
Starting point is 01:46:48 To this day, my mom says that these things still happen. I obviously don't live there with her anymore, but she says that while it's still happening, there hasn't been anything else that was malicious. When I was a little girl, about five years old, I began to remember being someone else in a former life. I don't remember the details very well, but my mother says that I told her quite a few details, and that she remembers what I said very clearly because it was so odd. Apparently I told her I lived in a big bedroom with lots of friends, and that we all dressed in the same tan shirts and pants,
Starting point is 01:47:44 and that we all slept wearing our underpants instead of pajamas. And I called our home the base. She was bewildered and asked me when this happened, and I told her that it was when I was a man. Now, I was a very girly little girl who loved to wear dresses and play with dolls, so my mother didn't know what to be. to think about these statements.
Starting point is 01:48:10 I also told her that I had a gun of my own, and that all my friends did as well. In reality, I had never seen a gun in my life. My family did not own a TV, but one day my mother brought me with her to visit a friend who had her TV turned on. Gomer Pyle, USMC, was on the TV. My mother said that I was overjoyed. I pointed out the tamed. in uniforms as being my own, the barracks as my big bedroom, and I explained to her that the mess
Starting point is 01:48:45 hall was where we had lunch, although I had never heard that term. I then explained to her that the decorations on the uniform indicated rank. I knew that private meant the lowest rank and so on. My mother was dumbfounded. She kept asking me how I knew so much about the Marines. I just kept telling her, I was there. It was just like that. We had no military service members in our family. So I could not have seen
Starting point is 01:49:18 pictures or heard stories about life on a marine base. So, how did I, a five-year-old girl, know about all of this? I have no logical explanation. I just knew
Starting point is 01:49:34 for a fact that I had been there. I need to add another trigger warning to this story again as it contains the same subject matter as the other story, and this definitely could
Starting point is 01:49:57 be sensitive to others, so trigger warning on this one as well, and yeah, I just wanted to start this off by saying that I love your podcast. I listen to it every night before I go to sleep, and it keeps me entertained for hours when I'm just
Starting point is 01:50:15 pottering around the house. So thank you. Thank you as well. I was 19 when this happened. I woke up one morning and saw that I had three missed calls from an unknown number. Two were just after midnight, and the third was a little past 1 a.m. I sleep with my phone on Do Not Disturb, so none of these calls came through for me. I didn't think much of it, as my mom has some mental health issues, and is always calling on unknown numbers.
Starting point is 01:50:45 I forget about it and moved on with my day. It was the next day and I was going out to a club with some girlfriends. It was a Sunday night, and there was a special guest at the club, so we all bought tickets and headed over. I'd had a few drinks, but I wasn't drunk, just a little tipsy. I was completely aware of everything around me so I can promise that I did not misunderstand the situation or imagine any of this. It was around 1 a.m., and I was walking through the dance. floor when I felt my phone vibrating. I was getting a phone call from an unknown number. By the time I saw the call pop up on my phone, I once again had already missed two calls from them just a few minutes earlier. I answered the phone and whoever was on the other side hung up immediately. Of course, they called back within a few seconds of ending the other call. I finally answered. Hello, I said. Keep in mind, I I'm in a club, so I couldn't hear a thing.
Starting point is 01:51:50 I said to whoever was on the phone, Don't hang up. Let me go somewhere quiet so I can hear you. The man on the other line replied, Okay, you go somewhere quiet. I went to the bathrooms, where it was a little quieter, and could finally hear what this man was trying to say to me. He said to me,
Starting point is 01:52:11 Aaron, this stays between us, okay? Okay, I replied back. I didn't recognize the voice at all. However, he referred to me by my first name, so he obviously knew who I was. The voice on the other end of the phone said to me, clear as day. I'm going to rape you one day, Aaron. I didn't have any time to process what he had said before he hung up. I sank to the floor and started crying.
Starting point is 01:52:41 I was in shock. Keep in mind, I'm 4.11 and not even 50 kilograms. I'm an easy target. I'm little. Obviously, being tipsy and at a club, I made the decision to leave. I called my ex that I had recently broken up with, and I asked if he could come pick me up. From there, we went directly to the police station. They asked me to come back the following day and give a statement when I was sober, so that's what I did. The police took my claim very seriously and could not have been more helpful.
Starting point is 01:53:15 They took all my details down, and my phone specs, I'm assuming, so that they could trace the call. I finished up with the statement and went home. I took a couple of days off work just to process what had happened, and also because I was terrified to leave my house, to go to work, and even walk to my car once my shifts were over. I worked in a shopping center slash mall, so I had to walk to the underground car parks at 10 a.m. after work. work. A week went by, and I didn't receive any more calls from the unknown number. Nothing at all. The police did get back to me, though, and this is the unnerving part. They told me that they had managed to trace the call back to a phone box. They couldn't tell me the specific area due to all the different call towers or something like that. I'm not too sure how it all works. However,
Starting point is 01:54:12 it was a phone box. The ones that are the ones that. are on the side of the road that you need to put coins in. Yeah, one of those. When you put it into perspective, someone had gone out of their way at 1 a.m. on a.m. on a. Sunday night to go to this phone box, with enough money to call me multiple times. I also have no doubts that this was the same person behind the unknown calls from the previous night also. Which also means this person went out of their way multiple nights in a road just to call me.
Starting point is 01:54:45 and threaten me. It's now been almost five years since this happened, and I have never found out who it was. My stomach still drops when I see a no-caller ID come up on my phone. I don't know who this person was. I don't know if he was being serious or just trying to scare me. I really don't want to find out, though. This isn't as scary as some of the other stories on here,
Starting point is 01:55:14 but it is my own creature. creepy encounter. Thank you for taking the time to listen. I used to sneak out at ages 15 through 17. I don't anymore as I have my own life going on as I am an adult now. It was about 2.30, almost 3 o'clock at night. I was going to a friend's house as they were going to sneak me in, chill and have a smoke session. While I was walking to their house, it was It was already creepy as it was. The night was still, and the sounds creeping around made everything eerier. I made it to their house without any issues.
Starting point is 01:56:05 We lit a few cigarettes and did as I said before. I do not condone smoking or doing anything in this story to anyone under the age of 18. When it started to get late, I went back to my house. It was about a 15-minute walk at most. stayed the same until I was going down a hill. There was a lot of houses where I lived, but it wasn't a good neighborhood, to be honest. I have a lot of stories about it that I'll possibly share in the future. I got stopped by this tall guy. I'm a woman, about 5'5, and very skinny with little to no muscle, so anyone could just beat me and do other horrible things to me. He was a drug
Starting point is 01:56:51 addict, as he looked very ill and had some red spots on his skin. He asked if I had a lighter, and I did, but I lied and said no. He nodded and then made small talk as I contributed back to the small talk, backing away slowly and eventually leaving. I felt very odd. I felt as if I was being watched or followed, a very uneasy feeling. I turned back and saw all the same guy. He asked again if I had a lighter. Again, a bit annoyed and scared, I said no. I knew it showed my voice, but I started to speedwalk to my house, as I had to go up another hill and down a hill to reach my house. I still had that feeling lurking in my stomach, and my mind started to race. I turned back and saw the same damn guy, asking the same question.
Starting point is 01:57:51 I looked around and found a group of guys who I thankfully knew. I said no and then darted across the street to greet them, telling them what happened, and one of them walked me back to my house. If it wasn't for knowing a lot of people at my age, I probably would have been attacked. I'm thankful every time and get goosebumps by thinking about it. For those who think it's fun to sneak out, please don't.
