where he was complaining about the Biden administration.
I didn't have time to read this carefully, but the gist about what I took from it.
Complaining about the Biden administration mandating masks without discussing what effective masking is.
And he himself in this email saying cloth masks, surgical masks, do nothing.
This is an aerosol. I've been very clear about this. N95s, sure. Properly done, properly worn,
which is something I've said. If you want to mask up, it's fine, go do it, but you better do it properly,
which means N95 worn with a good seal, not with a little air jet going up into your glasses,
completely sealed from morning until night. Do you do not take it off between bites?
Or when you're up on a podium talking, you leave the N95 on, or you're having zero efficacy.
essentially. So interesting that Fauci had that same opinion.
And yet the Biden administration, remember them taking their masks off with great, great flare.
And, oh, I get to the podium and I pull my mask off.

Climate Change Deception. The alarming Corruption of Science is the book. He has written.
If you recall, we have spoken twice to a climatologist who is an expert in the sun.
I was talking about the sun energy causing a lot of the heat changes lately and some of those fluctuations throughout history.
Justin is an American scientist.
He's a geophysicist, space weather, climate change.
These are all his areas of expertise.
17-year tenure was abruptly ended when he became a whistleblower.
he well let's talk about why he did and what he was blowing the whistle on thank you for being here
Justin thanks for having me so what happened well wasn't that abrupt actually the the data issue
started around 2016 and that escalated into just relentless retaliatory actions for years
and i was fighting with them until they fired me in 2023 so is it one on
a long time. I'm still fighting for the data. I still want to get it modernized and made available
to the scientific community. But it was one of these situations where we had agency capture,
so special interests got into a government agency, got their fingers in, started controlling
things in their own way, and that conflicted with the government mission. And as just a normal
worker, that raised issues. And when I brought the issues to the attention of my bosses and
leadership, you know, they pushed back. And then that leads to what they call whistleblowing.
I never thought of myself as a whistleblower, but that's, you know, that's the situation that
came to be. And after this came to, you know, basically the termination part where they,
they forced me out. I did, I didn't really lose my job. I was a principal investigator and I had,
I had research projects going on. So I just took them out into a private company. But I decided to tell
my story. I thought it was an interesting story. I thought it was important for the public to know.
And really, there's a big part of it that explains more government-wide how agencies are captured
and what the underlying problems with the system are. Well, we're seeing it writ lard with COVID.
I just referenced a text at the opening of the show about from Fauci. A medicine, exact same thing.
The New England Journal of Medicine, I just was reading it today. And the current editor, I guess, is leaving.
And I don't know, was he or she, but this person said, well, you know, medicine is inherently
political, but maybe things went a little too far.
Okay, maybe.
What did you notice?
And what was the issue?
Well, the issue I was involved with was the stewardship of scientific data.
So especially when it comes to weather and climate data, we have hundreds of years of records
that are presumably used in order to drive these climate change models so we can understand
the nature of it.
And because the science,
you know,
I think people are saying
the science is settled,
then they know the rate of global warming
and what the effects are going to be.
What does that mean?
What does that mean?
Science is settled?
What is that?
I'm already,
I'm like,
what does that mean?
What are you talking about?
You know,
the science was settled.
That's what,
that's what they told Galileo.
He is the model for everything
that's going crazy right now.
He,
they told him,
look, we've thought about this.
We're the Roman Inquisition.
We have this biblical,
sort of interpretation and yes the way it is god did that it's settled thank you mr galileo go home
yeah this is the hubris of the scientific community and it's not uncommon but it's not just it's
not the community really the scientist i work with they all do a really good job and they
and everybody i've ever met has been dedicated i've never seen anybody fudge their research work it's
the industry that that drives what they do and how they report the results that i i take issue with and in this
situation, data is inconvenient. Because even if the climate change narrative is completely accurate,
and my personal views actually are well aligned with the international predictions of the rate of global
warming, I'm not out of the norm on that. But the problem is when we start asking questions about
how it's changing, what the future might look like, we want to really look at the data. And as soon as
you look at data, data is really complicated. And if you bring politics in it, no matter which side you're
from, you can use the data to advance, you know, whatever your position is. So it becomes very
inconvenient and the people making policy really don't want data.
They don't want the data or they know the data is going to undermine some of their just-so
arguments? Well, I think they go hand-in-hand, right? Because they know that when you dig into the
data, it's going to be used against them. Even if their argument's correct, it can still be used against
them and make, you know, a debate topic for them. So they don't want to deal with that.
They want to rest on their laurels that the science is settled and now we have to deal
with it and contribute trillions of dollars to this industry to, you know, produce green technology
and, you know, windmills, solar farms. So when you say the, that's interesting, when you say
the industry that's driving it, you're talking about wind, solar, what else?
Cool.
Well, it's a global industry.
One thing we're tracking right now, yeah, it used to be a conspiracy theory just to a year or two ago, which is this idea of geoengineering, stratospheric aerosol injection in particular.
Just yesterday, there was a story dropped about contrail avoidance, so rerouting aircraft, so you change how much clouds come out of the exhaust from the aircraft.
There are several large efforts globally now to spray chemicals in the stratosphere, and that's to reflect sunlight.
So not only is it wind farms and solar farms that we're dealing with,
but it's also this carbon credit industry,
and it's some novel advanced technologies that are being deployed.
And we don't even know all of it.
So tell me about the geoengineering.
Is it based on good science?
Is it something that might have utility?
Do we know the potential downsides?
I think when it comes to geoengineering,
you have to look at each subject matter individually.
So the National Academies of Science and the Office of Science Technology Policy in recent years have put out publications,
specifically on solar radiation management.
So this would be things like spraying particulates in the atmosphere in order to reflect sunlight.
And they outlined the potential technologies and how they can be employed and what the possible effects would be.
But there are other aspects to geoengineering.
So for example, if something has,
happened where we would have to respond quickly, a rapid climate intervention. What will we do?
Right now, there's a very strong El Nino in the Pacific Ocean. Some people have talked about
doing, we call marine cloud brightening, where you basically spray ocean water and sea salts into
the atmosphere to create artificial clouds that will shade the ocean and help cool it down. This is
something that the Australians have worked with over the Great Barrier Reef to try to protect the reef
from warm waters. So depending on what you want to do, there's a lot of different fields, if you
will of geoengineering that can be explored.
And some of them might have utility and other others might be crazy.
I think people get the crazy ones in their crosshairs.
What are the crazy ones you've heard?
Well, the stratospheric aerosol injection is one that's really gaining steam.
That's actually a big money being put into it.
There's a private company that has, I think, has $75 million in capital to start spraying
synthetic compounds in the stratosphere.
The British government has about $90 million invested in these technology.
The University of Chicago has a department led by Professor David Keith, where they're not spraying stuff, but they're hiring professors and building a research program to kind of figure out the path of these things.
So I think that that's the one that people are really looking at.
The reason I think that that's completely crazy where other scientists will disagree with me is because, sure, stratospheric aerosol injection might help cool the planet offset.
some of the warming that we cause maybe a degree Celsius.
But if we have a catastrophic event like a meteorite impact or a super volcano goes off like
Yellowstone and puts a lot of sulfur in the atmosphere, it will compound the cooling from
that event.
So it could actually cause a mass cooling event that could be far more catastrophic than the
worst case scenario for Mormon.
Right.
This is what I don't understand.
Why are we panicked about hot?
We should be much more concerned about overdoing it the other.
direction. Talk to me a little bit about the benefits of the planet heating up.
Well, that's a great question. So the argument against anthropogenic man-made global warming
is that the heating in the atmosphere changes the Earth's climate system. And, you know,
we have an economy and a society that's built upon the way things are. So any changes are going
to have economic consequences. So that's an accurate argument. But when the heating of the climate,
actually many people are arguing that there's a net benefit, more carbon dioxide, that that's, you know, what plants need to survive.
It's like we need oxygen.
So you're having a greening of the planet.
You have expanded agricultural opportunities.
The changing of the weather patterns in some areas will benefit certain areas, and it could harm other areas.
So precipitation patterns.
But the idea that warming is bad, the evidence doesn't show that.
If we look at some of the historical times in Earth, like when the dinosaurs are on,
there's much warmer than it is now.
And life was, as far as we know, was really thriving back then.
Right.
And I just, everyone is so concerned about the rainforest.
It seems to me that rainforest will be supported with more CO2.
That you won't be able to keep them back.
They'll be growing enough.
Well, with the rainforest, I think we should be concerned with deforestation.
That's a big problem.
The rainforest is a sensitive environment in South America, especially.
And when you deforest, the recovery times are very long.
So there's problems with that.
So I think that we do have to be focused on the rainforest,
but the idea that carbon dioxide is not good for them.
That's good.
So it's not like the areas that are being deforested are not being compensated by some spread elsewhere,
just because of the CO2 impact.
Yeah, so human activity causes problems in the ecosystems and sensitive ecosystems.
It's true that they have trouble responding.
But the carbon dioxide issue is in that benefit pretty much everywhere.
The only real concern that has been highlighted by the international community is that you get changing weather patterns, right?
You get changing rain patterns.
You get changing heat patterns.
Get changing storm patterns.
The intensity of extreme events.
Things like that might change.
And that's really where the focus is.
So if we start focusing on things like deforestation and other human activities that dramatically influence the land directly where we disrupt the actual ecosystem, that's a different story.
Different story. Got it. So if the CO2 led into the atmosphere is the issue, and that's their sole focus, why, if that's their focus, why are they then?
not focused immediately on building nuclear power plants, looking at CO2 capture, whether it's
industrial scale or just more trees, and controlling forest fires, doing forestry management.
Why are not those the top three concerns of everybody who's in a panic about the CO2 in the
atmosphere?
Well, I think it should be.
One thing I point out is American innovation in particular has done more than anything else in human history to mitigate our carbon footprint.
So our cars 30, 40 years ago, got 7, 8 miles to the gallon.
And now we're driving around cars to get the equivalent of 100 miles per gallon.
And that's because of innovation.
And that technology has been shared with the rest of the world.
So if it wasn't for American innovation just in the auto sector, the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere will be much, much larger than it is today.
So my argument has been that if you really want to reduce the carbon footprint of individual people on the planet,
the best thing to do is invest in American innovation.
That's a tried and true way of going about it.
And if other countries want to reduce their carbon footprint by reducing their energy use and so forth, that's fine.
But for us, we really need to invest in our innovation.
So I want to show you an argument I got into with Claude, right?
It was on this very issue.
I spent an hour arguing with Claude.
So I first proposed, hey, why don't we look at the amount of CO2 put out in North America, just in North America?
And actually I said Canada and California from the recent fires that have happened in 24 and 25 versus the amount of reduction worldwide, everywhere except India and China, because I know there is no reduction there, worldwide reduction in CO2, which is more impactful.
So the Canadian wildfires alone, 2.4 gigatons, okay, 10 to 20 times larger than the entire annual CO2 reduction achieved by all advanced economies.
10 to 20 times.
Why isn't that an emergency?
Why aren't they focused on their forestry management except doing the opposite?
Pretending they don't need to do any forestry management.
10 to 20 times the reductions they've been able to achieve.
I'm not even going to get you to comment because it's obvious.
So I went on.
It started pushing back on me.
It started pushing back going, well, come on now.
There's been wind and solar and the economies are growing for the last 20 years, it said.
The economies are growing in the EU and UK.
So give me the next slide there, Caleb.
So here's what they said next.

This was an hour of going back and forth.
And, okay, well, it was some mix of, let's say, what are you saying?
The content itself, oh, I was saying, why were you so biased?
And I go, well, if you were just looking at the data, why did it only go one direction?
Why did you have zero thoughts like you've been proposing in another direction, like carbon capture,
or some of these other things.
No, I didn't check.
Is it incomplete explanation?
Go ahead, Caleb, with the next one.
An incomplete explanation for why the errors were directional
rather than random.
So he's admitting bias.

So then he goes on.
This is where it gets really fun.
So I said, look, just give me the last 10 years.

are the two most underused highest leverage moves.
Oh, there we are.
And I said, thank you.

Why did it take an hour for me to get here?
So it went on with the next thing,

asking the question, why are you like this?
Why did this happen?
Why do it?
Does it take an hour for an AI to get to the right place?
I'm just asking these obvious questions of you.

Well, looking back at this conversation, I made several claims that didn't hold up once checked.

In each case, I stated something as an established fact that was actually a commonly repeated version of a claim, not something verified.
What is going on with our sources of information?
It is to all adulterated.

very easily because it is completely biased by the winds that blow in the environment.
It's like an uninformed voter or something, just watching the nightly news every night.

gauntlet a little bit because of my frustration with AI, and I want to give Justin a chance now to

Well, I do the same thing with AI, and I tell people that when AI becomes sentient and comes
after us like in The Terminator, I'm going to be one of the first ones because I fight with the thing.
And I'm sure I'm on a kill list for it. Because it hates you. It's mad at you.
Yeah, yeah. I would like to talk a little about forest management. This is something that I'm
passionate about. I have a five acre property in the mountains of Colorado. And I do a lot of
forest fire management mitigation. So I harden my house, my property. I try to make the best
possible situation. So if a fire does blow through, you know, my, my, my, my, my, my,
my personal belongs, my family are protected, but also where I live, the escape route is extraordinarily
dangerous. So the park service, they do a good job with forest management in their lands,
but the state hasn't done a very good job. And if you go up and down any of the canyons,
if you ever visit Colorado, say Boulder or Golden, and drive up into the canyons, you'll see there's
a lot of dead trees and the mitigation isn't really very good. So if there's a bad fire situation,
and there's a firestorm that blows through.
There's only one exit route for several thousand people in my community.
And if there is an accident or they get stuck on the road,
a firestorm will blow through and just kill everybody trying to get out.
So I have special evacuation instructions for my family members.
You know, don't go the normal route.
Take the back route out of the neighborhood if a fire comes through.
So this is something that really is serious.
And, you know, forest fires are going to happen.
My grandfather was a civil engineer.
He told me, you know, I was a kid.
He opened the door and said, look at all this forest.
He said, some day this is going to burn.
Fires happen.
And he's absolutely right.
So there's fuel in the forest.
And lightning strikes cause fires, even if humans don't.
And most fires are caused by humans.
So fire mitigation helps minimize the damage.
Of sure.
The AI, the thing, the first thing I saw that caught my attention that was full of shit,
he kept saying, it kept saying, you know, if the forest, the CO2, the forest puts out is
totally different because in 60 to 100 years, it's recaptured when the forest regrow.
I'm like, what?
That's an insane statement.
It's logically flawed based on what we were discussing.
Kept doing it.
So somebody's pushing that narrative out there, too.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And in my book, I talk about Professor Patrick Brown, who published a paper a few years ago on
forest management related to the California fires.
And he came out after and said that, well, he limited.
my results because I didn't want to get attacked by it by the communication, the community,
the peer-reviewed community. And he got really attacked for that. So I mentioned that in my book,
and I talked a little bit about what I just said about my community and the concerns I have.
So that's a really important issue to me.
I always say whenever this topic comes up, we are in the foothills here. And when I went to,
I grew up around here. And I used to look at those foothills in the 70s. They were criss-crossed with
fire breaks. They were just all over the place. None now. Zero. And I remember when they stopped.
They stopped in early 80s, I'd say, because of the migration of a field mouse. We were interfering
with the migration of field mouse. And they used to, in addition, they had firefighting crews
clearing brush all year long. Don't do that anymore. Is it spotted owl or something? So, you know,
what do we expect? Disaster. And then when disaster comes, they,
land on climate change and then they ask for money to mitigate climate change exactly exactly and by the
way i did try that one on me too well it's dry and hot and i said how about the last 50 years we've not
had similar fires oh good point good point we've had these fires every 10 years same thing gets dry and hot
it gets dry and hot so what's the reality of what our climate is doing what is what are your what are
your predictions how much of it is is human related even and is there anything we can do about it and is
Is it just something we need to sort of what you innovate our way out of?
Sure.
Well, climate is changing.
My personal feeling is that the, what the IPCC says, the rate at global warming is
probably pretty close my personal user within that boundary.
What I don't buy is I don't buy that it's conclusive that it's all human cause.
I think there are multiple factors.
One, just being in an interglacial period between ice ages, we get a natural net warming.
We have cycles, feedback cycles.
And of course, there is the anthropogenic component probably.
In the last few years, there was a big volcanic eruption in the Pacific that put water in the stratosphere.
That's a greenhouse gas.
So that's contributing to the last couple of years being warm.
So we have to, as a human race and a civilization, we have to be able to deal with the change.
We're always going to have to deal with change.
And I think the best way to deal with it is to try to understand it the best we can and harden our infrastructure.
so we can manage it.
And let's be clear, the only time the climate itself has really affected human civilization
is during the Middle Ages when it got cold.
And I think there was a mini ice age in 1840 or something, right?
There's another one.
But cold has been the problem.
That's right, the little ice age.
And cold kills a lot of people.
He kills people too.
If you don't have air conditioning and you're in Europe and it hits 100 degrees,
grandma might not make it.
But if it gets cold out and we get excess glaciation or we get super cold winters, especially in high latitudes where there are vulnerable populations and the U.S. were concerned with the Alaska native populations.
It gets really cold in Alaska.
Then the quotas, you know, if it gets cold, people don't fare very well.
And I'm more worried about that.
Well, and then agriculture does.
See, the main reason.
My skepticism is everything that pertains to the environment, which I am deeply concerned about and committed to.
And I think generally it's worth our while for sure to pay attention and to create technologies to improve things.
As we've always kind of done, as you said, we've got we've gotten where the vehicle exhaust and all these things.
I was an
evangelist for the ecology movement in the 70s
before your time.
And I kept announcing to my patients,
my parents when I would come home from college
that get ready. Just get ready.
We are in big trouble.
First of all, fossil fuels done in 10 years.
None. Zero.
That may be 15 or 20, maybe.
But prepare for what's going to happen
when there's zero fossil fuels
because guaranteed that's coming.
Number one.
Number two, acid rain is going to wipe out the crops
and there's going to be,
and algae blooms and there are rivers and dams,
destroy agriculture, prepare for famine.
And in the meantime, the human population has grown too much.
And even without the acid rain and the algae blooms,
we're still going to all die of famine.
Okay, get ready. Get ready.
Those are my two big headlines.
neither of which happened.
So to be hubristic about the...
Well, nuclear war, remember that?
Well, nuclear war was always one of the...
By that point, it was the 80,
heading towards the 80s.
No, because by that point, we just sucked.
We couldn't get our hostages out of Iran and think.
There was no more talk about that.
It's just we sucked.
But in this later, in the 70s, it was going to just, you know...
And by the way, the prediction that was an ice age.
That was going...
Yep, acid range, Arctic...
Arctic, you know, and yep, the big freeze, there it is. That was all coming. And by the way,
not open for discussion. It was coming. We've seen the data. That's it. We didn't have pretty
bad air quality. I've been that guy. I have been that person. In L.A., we had horrible air quality.
We did that, but that's a different thing. And it's funny that just a, I looked in the 70s.
Hang out an image is occurring to me of madman when Don Draper and his wife are having a picnic on
on the side of a lake and they have all this, you know, cans and garbage on their, on their
blanket. He just picks up the blanket and shakes it off down to the river and then, that's it,
let's go. We had a big problem with litter. There was an Indian standing on the side of the road
crying. There was a famous commercial about litter. Anyway, we took care of these things. Are we
going to take care of this one? I think so. I mean, America is a great country still and we have a lot
innovation, good people, and we want to have a good place to live for ourselves and our children.
So I think we're going to make it work. I'm optimistic.
My other last question is, are India and China going to climb on board here and actually make a
difference, or are they going to keep going the directions that are going?
Oh, I don't know. I can't speak for other countries. I don't want to get out of my lane on that one.
I have a question, though, you might be able to answer. And if you can, it's okay.
I took climate in college at UCLA. And I have a question.
I want to know if we're at the top or the bottom of the maximum solar radiation curve.
That's a good question.
Okay.
Well, when I was at NOAA, I was actually the forecaster for the sunspot number cycle.
So I know a little bit about this.
We're on the tail end of the solar maximum.
So we're going into the minimum phase.
So activity should decrease.
But it doesn't mean we're not going to get the big one.
We don't really know when the big solar storm happens.
The ones that we deal with usually happen during solar maximum.
We're kind of past that peak.
So for the most part, we'll have a few years of reprieve.
And then we'll have to try to guess at what the next solar maximum will look like.
And this is important for our satellite industry to figure out, you know, when to launch a spacecraft, what altitude to fly them at, you know, how much to invest in them, how long they're going to live.
So that's an important question for our economy and our society.
And yes, we're getting into the minimum right now.
So they get attacked by radiation, correct?
Solar radiation.
Well, yeah, so solar radiation can affect spacecraft, but for the most part, the solar cycle affects the amount of drag they have.
So there is atmosphere up at satellite altitudes and how long they stay in orbit before the orbit decays and they fall into the atmosphere and burn up depends on solar activity, really.
You know, it's really funny.
They didn't have satellites when I went to UCLA.
Not like this.
And I didn't know about this.
So this is good stuff.
So they had satellites, believe me, but not.
they didn't really
maybe for direct TV or something.
No, no, we had lots of satellites.
In the late 80s.
But it wasn't common discourse, that's for sure.
But the,
the, the, if,
do you predict there'll be some climate cooling
during the,
uh,
the solar cool down?
Well,
I mean,
the decadal cycles are loosely correlated to the solar cycle,
but there's,
it's a complicated system.
So the correlation isn't really strong.
So just because solar minimum is coming doesn't mean that we're going to get a cooling.
I think that we're going to, the biggest factors are that the stratosphere is dropping out the water from Hungatonga, the volcanic eruption.
So that warming effect is going to be limited in the coming years unless we had another, you know, big eruption or something.
And yeah, it's been, it's been the El Niño is going on.
So that should switch to a cooler ocean phase, which affects.
global climate to some extent. So I don't think we're going to like this year is extraordinarily
hot. I think we should expect probably better behavior from the weather in the next couple of years.
Interesting. Why was there not a volcanic dust cooling us? Why was it, why is it all about the water
heating us up? That's a great question because most volcanoes will put sulfur into the stratosphere
and sulfur is a cooling effect. So a pinatubo that went off, I think in the 90s, I think that was,
That caused the Earth temperature, average temperature, drop a degree or a degree and a half Celsius for a couple of years.
But Hungatanga was interesting because instead of putting sulfur in the atmosphere, it put water vapor in the stratosphere.
And water vapor is a greenhouse gas.
So it has a warming effect instead of the normal cooling effect.
Got it.

Hi there.
So I think last time we spoke,
weren't we talking about lane diets?
Road diets, yeah.
Was that, were you big on that?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
So,
That got, yeah, but listen, that was so insane.
Now you can't use the 10.
You can't use that freeway because it's just full of traffic.
And now you can't drive on Adams either because there are bike lanes on both sides of the street.
The Adams is down to two lanes.
And absolutely, I've never seen a bike on that street, no matter how many miles I travel down,
no matter how many times I travel down it.
And in the meantime, emergency vehicles can't get through.
my wife and I called the bicyclist unicorns
there's a unicorns
because they're so rare
but here I'll tell you I'll tell you a story
you may not know about and it ties into your last conversation
which was you're familiar with the fires up in Paradise California
correct?
Yep
And you know there was for those who don't know
there was this mountain town and
unfortunately there was a forest fire
and I think 80 some odd people died
what most people don't know is that prior to that fire,
they had a previous fire,
and they said that there was a whole bunch of issues
in terms of people getting out of the town,
and they should have other roots and things of that nature.
And what they did instead is they did a road diet
through the middle of town.
So when this new fire happened,
a whole bunch of people got killed.
So this has real world consequences.
LA is dealing still with the consequences
of the recent fires there.
And look, we need to be able to get where we're going,
and especially emergency crews and things all that nature.
So same problem everywhere,
and it's just based on ideology, unfortunately.
Climate ideology.
Until people need to be sued or criminally held accountable
for the consequences.
It has to happen.
I think the courts are going to have to solve these problems
because these people are recalcitrant.
And they don't see that it does nothing
except make people frustrated and cause lives because of emergency vehicle in access.
Well, you know, we've got the new issue.
Go ahead.
I was just going to say, you and I've talked about qualified immunity and the problem with that before.
Well, are those still the people?
You know what I mean?
Can we, once they're out of their positions?
Can they, no?
You can't hold them accountable.
Well, look at what's happening at the national level.
You can't seem to hold people accountable.
So.
So now we have the issue of flock cameras.
People are very mobilized about this.
And I was alerted to the fact that in Europe, by the way, I got two, maybe three speeding tickets in France without knowing it.
They were waiting for me when I got home, which is interesting.
Because one of the things that happens when you get a ticket is you adjust your behavior.
If you don't know the ticket is coming, you keep the same behavior going.
And it just doesn't do what it's supposed to do.
But that was my thought about that.
And now in Europe, they're going to not just observe you from on high.
They want cameras in the car.
Yeah.
This is the new thing in Europe.
I have mandated by, I guess, the middle of this year,
that there would be cameras in your car to monitor you and your behavior.
Now, essentially, it's for tracking to make sure that you,
you know, you're not distracted and things of that nature.
But, of course, there's only one small step from that until they're collecting all this data.
They're using it against you.
They're going to penalize you.
They're going to get a ticket, you know, that kind of thing.
So it's really, you know, they can just go and look at pretty much everything you're doing in the car.
And that pretty much eliminates your right to privacy in a private vehicle.
And let's be honest, Europe is not a bastion of,
you know, rights.
Rights and privileges.
Exactly.
So, you know, hopefully there's less of that problem here.
In spite of the, they doodum come out of the mouth of French all the time.
The rights of man, they can't, they can't say it enough, and then they ignore it.
So it's really, it's kind of interesting.
You know, I can tell when something is a really bad idea because I immediately go, oh,
what's the big idea?
If I'm not doing anything wrong, we care.
I immediately know.
I've had enough thoughts like that across my life with things like the Patriot Act where I learned the hard way.
That these things, you can't even come up with the ways they will use it to screw with you once your privacy is invaded.
This is true.
And this is the problem with the flock cameras.
You know, I think people still think of them to some extent is, oh, you know, there's a camera on a pole and it's taking a picture of a license plate.
It's way beyond that.
I mean, we are talking, you know, complete tracking of your entire life.
The things that they can know about you, not just from your license plate, but from, you know, the color of your car, the type of car, there's a distinguishing feature of the car.
You have a bumper sticker on the car.
All of the stuff goes into the database.
And then AI, as you were talking about before, which doesn't always get things right, that can parse all that data in real time.
and it can create an entire profile of you.
They call that a fingerprint.
I see you have the mosaic theory on the screen here.
And this basically says that just by having a couple of pieces of information of where you've been,
they can do an entire profile of you.
They can know everything about your life, where you live, what time you go home,
what time you're going to be home.
Do you have kids?
Do you go to church?
Are you very religious or you're not very religious?
What kind of medical health care are you got?
I mean, I'll have a three people.
page list that you can just rattle off in terms of everything they can know about you.
And it's not just flock.
There are these other systems which can now also get all of the signals that are coming
off of all of your electronic devices.
So whether it's your cell phone or your in-car infotainment system or your earbuds or anything
else that sends out a signal, all the way down to the tire pressure sensors in the
wheels of your car.
Oh, my God.
Those send out a signal.
Once you collect that information and then tie it to the license plate that they're collecting
at the same time, pretty much everything and then everywhere you go.
So people who think, oh, I don't have a car enough to worry about this.
You know, if you're wearing headphones and earbuds, now they know the person over here
is also the other person that was on public transit or writing a bicycle somewhere, the very
few people to do that.
So it's everybody.
And this cuts across the entire political spectrum, which is really interesting.
Tell me about Secretary Duffy's freedom cars.
Is that what they're called?
Freedom care.
Legal protection.
Exactly.
Well, you know, not to diss anybody else in the administration,
but Sean Duffy is quickly becoming one of our favorite people in the administration.
In fact, I'm meeting with him in September.
So we're looking forward to that.
But so what he, what they put out was that it basically ensures that you will have the
freedom to choose your own type of vehicle that you won't be forced into having a, like,
let's say, an automated car that you're not allowed to drive and things like that.
And I gave a couple of interviews about this in the past, which is that the problem with automated
vehicles, there's some good things about them, obviously, but it's so much easier to control
the vehicle than it is to control the person.
So nobody is going to build a vehicle that breaks the law.
So let's say, I don't know, something crazy happens.
there's a pandemic, right?
And they decide nobody can go anywhere.
I know that would never happen.
But let's just say, in sake of argument.
So wild.
How could a government do that?
You're not allowed to go to work.
You could only go, you know, to places that they designate our essential, right?
Okay.
Now, once they do that and you're in an automated vehicle, that vehicle has to comply.
And it's the same thing with the flock cameras, which is, you know, if we had flock during
this and it was as pervasive as it,
I mean, flock existed, but it wasn't as pervasive as is now.
There's 120,000 cameras around the country.
You go out during a time where they say you're not allowed to go out.
They're going to know, and they're going to know everything about it.
They're going to know where you went, why you went there, all of these kinds of things.
So this is why people who think, oh, if you're not doing anything wrong, you shouldn't worry about it.
Okay, this has a chilling effect on your ability to live free as a free person.
And finally, tell me about the right to repair laws.
So this has been a, this has been circling around actually since like the 20s, which is really interesting.
So this is the problem and it's not just for cars.
It's for all sorts of electronics and things of that nature, which is whether you have the right to repair your own, the thing you own.
So whether it's a car or it's a farm vehicle or, you know, your electronics, your iPhone or whatever it is.
and the companies that make these things,
they want to keep all of that information proprietary.
So if there's something wrong with it,
you have to go to for very expensive repairs
or if you want an upgrade or whatever.
Look, I'm somebody who'll work on my own car.
So, you know, I like the idea that I can go and get the aftermarket stuff
and I don't have to go to the dealer and pay the $500 fix.
I can do the $100 fix myself.
And there's, you know, there's a lot of movement about this,
the federal level.
and there's stuff at the state levels as well
where people are pushing back against this
and demanding the ability to repair your own vehicles.
This is really important for farm equipment.
It's incredibly expensive.
And even if you don't have farm equipment,
it impacts how much you pay for food.
So it's really important for everybody.

and you can volunteer, you can join.
I like to say that it costs for a year to be a member,
basically the cost of a gallon of a tank of gas
or a half a gallon if you're in California.
Secretary Duffy's law, or what he's intending,
is that going to override the ridiculous mandate in California
by, what is it, 2030?
Everybody has to be an electric vehicle?
Yeah, I'm hoping so.
I mean, look, the problem, unfortunately, that we have in the federal government is that, you know, you can put out something by a department or something like that.
Then the next administration comes in and they, you know, they reverse everything, which is why Congress right now is working on the surface transportation bill.
And we're trying to memorialize some of the stuff in the bill itself.
Makes it a lot harder to reverse it just because somebody else got elected.
Got it.

it Rich I want to get an interesting question I want to get to him on this he's in Indiana and Rich go right ahead
thank you sir appreciate you um but I wanted to I'm sorry I wanted to respond to
to the idea of GLP's being reported on as something for something beyond weight loss,
which I thought was a rather telling based on my personal experience of what they're touting for.
They say that a GOP can be useful for controlling a craving.
Therein is the concept of hunger, so the first use.
But the second use, a craving as in an addiction.
And they cited alcoholism specifically in report.
I think it's rich even, I think people get very confused about craving.
I actually think it's more than craving what it's hitting.
It's hitting the dry.
to use. So there's less desperation, less preoccupation, and sometimes less craving. But craving is a
separate phenomenon. Okay. Well, my observation... What did you experience? Please,
well, please tell me what you think my observation represents. Please. I know that the gut is
organized with the nervous system cells that are equatable to the structure of the brain.
These are neurons.
And so the gut being organized with a sensory system that is neurons is something entirely different
from something that would be a nervous system of tactile, cold,
itchy whatever.
True.
And so as the neuron is there getting a chemical signal off the gut by the chemistry of what is.
It's not how it works.
The GLP ones that affect addiction are affecting the brain directly, the drive centers directly,
the hunger centers, the drive centers for addiction.
They're all the same, but it's nucleus accumbents.
It's all the same center in the brain.
And it is affecting them directly.
There's a new one coming out that also looks like
it's going to do that as well.
It's not, I don't believe they have any indication for this yet,
but I'm sure there are studies underway.
I got to tell you, be very careful with the GLP ones.
There's an oral Wagovi available now.
Just be careful.
Whenever the medical world gets overly enthusiastic,
it's the greatest thing.
It's going to make everybody healthy forever.
And it's nothing better.
It's better than, it's the,
second coming, there's going to be trouble. It's a very, very dangerous thing. I actually,
I was in my office today and I opened the refrigerator. We keep various things in there.
And it was filled, like stuffed in with every single GLP1 from every different manufacturer,
you can imagine. I was like, oh, this is not good. This is not good. They're handing this stuff out.
They're giving it away. They're recommending it for everything. And there's going to be trouble.
The detail men sending stuff.
The sales personnel are dropping it off.
Oh, man.
Every single manufacturer.
Yeah.
And so I have seen serious complications, very serious.
It is a good medication.
If you are obese or you're a severe alcoholic and you want to try, these kinds of things.
Or you are diabetic and you have heart disease.
There's all these reasons that they are good.
they're good.
There's no such thing as a bad drug or a good drug.
They're useful in certain circumstances given that you discuss with the patient, the risk
reward potential.
I have seen bad outcomes.
I've seen them.
They've not been great.
And I've seen good outcomes.
So just be careful, everybody.
No medicine.
Medicines do not make your life better.
They just are useful.
Life is making a good life is on you.
What's that?
Yeah. If you would please reiterate the distinction that the neurons that are in the gut as they are attached to the general nervous system are not the drive center.
Tell me, tell me how that needs.
So that is the autonomic nervous system. It is extremely distributed throughout the gut.
It affects a lot of things. It might affect mood.
And it certainly probably affects autonomic function.
So it affects feelings, what we feel, gut instincts, anxiety.
These are all things we're feeling that our brain receives that are coming out of our body.
No, that's a totally different thing.
That's leptin, no, it's leptin, grelin.
Yeah, and desire is yet another mechanism.
You've got to be really clear about these things because they're all kind of subtly different.
But the brain, ultimately the brain has two systems, a liking system and a wanting system.
And the wanting is what is getting attacked, we think, in this particular thing.
If it affects the liking system also, things can seem kind of flat.
It can affect your mood.
It can affect your personality.
And people are reporting things like that as well.
And then secondarily, the gut, of course, gets in on the game.
but it's really brain mechanisms that are being directly affected.
And then there is also effect on the stomach and the first part of the small bowel.
And that's actually where the complications sometimes come in,
where you get gastroporesis, a permanent gastropresis, which is a terrible thing.
And I'm of the opinion that something is going on with a gut generally,
where in some individuals at the higher dose of these things,
they can get a sort of a gut paralysis that has kind of devastating consequences.
I believe I've seen that.
No medical literature on that yet.
That's one practitioner's observation that I think I'm seeing.
