Good evening. Thank you for joining me tonight. I would like to share you today how to create a DIY bridal bouquet.
Now a lot of brides often times really stress out about the time it takes and the price, how much it costs to create bridal bouquets.
And my suggestion is to possibly try and create your own.
It's a great way to cut the price.
It's a great way also to implement something that you have created, that you're walking down towards your future husband with.
And knowing that this is your bouquet, you made it.
You made it exactly the way you wanted it to be.
So for me, it's something just more personal.
However, of course, you can always give that opportunity to professionals.
Also, in order for you to try and try and
possibly save up or just as a new idea maybe. I would suggest to use artificial or silk
flowers. Now you can change up the colors this way depending on the season so
you can use these yellows, much colors for full time or maybe even summertime too.
You can also not just have them all by itself as an artificial bouquet.
You can also implement them right into your regular bouquet.
And let me tell you something, nobody will know.
You can find that exotic flower that just maybe doesn't live that long,
or maybe it's too expensive or hard to get.
You can find that in artificial way, in a silk form.
and put the right into your bouquet and nobody will know and you still get your perfect bouquet just the way you wanted it.
So that's just my suggestion.
Plus you can change the colorings, depending on your theme of for your wedding and so forth.
It's just going to be easier for you to work with that.
Today we're going to create a beautiful, simple, elegant mini color and
And aspedestra leaves bouquet.
So we'll need leaves of aspedestra.
These are quite waxy, sick leaves.
And oftentimes, just need beautiful, pretty white color too.
Quite young, did not bloom yet fully.
But actually, for a special occasion,
is in a couple days.
It will give them just the right amount of time to open up.
to bloom and blossom and they're going to be just at its ripest right on the wedding day.
Okay, so that's another suggestion of mine.
Always get it a couple days ahead.
We're starting our beautiful, the gorgeous ear-cris.
And usually you would get them from 14 to 18 inches long.
Of course we'll need to trim them.
I usually suggest to trim it about one inch as it arrives.
And then you'll need to place it in about 2 inches of water with some plant food in it.
I do not suggest using any more water for calla lilies because their stem tends to become slimy and it weakens your beautiful bouquet.
And that's not something we want. Okay, so we're going to trim it and put it in very little water.
So we would usually start from end and I would suggest to use sharp knife or sharp scissors, okay?
We'll straighten them out of course, so no worries about that.
Again, right now we just bring them back to life.
These are quite rare to find in regular stores.
So you would want to probably order them ahead of time
from an online provider flowers.
You also get these smaller ones.
That could be a little bit more weak, but they're just still so pretty.
Such beautiful creations.
They are here to bring us an experience.
Experience of visual and now beauty, you know, old factory beauty of the world.
They attract so many beautiful insects as well.
And birds.
and birds and of course they are perfect to show our love to decorate our celebrations
that is for us to create either a bow out of a flower or straighten it out a bit okay and then
we're going to grab right here right at its neck so to say and you would just press
you need a straightened out if you needed more curved create more curves
whichever way works.
Do you see how much of a curve?
Sometimes we don't want that.
We're not trying to change the structure of the flower.
We're just trying to create different angles for us, yes, so it's not that much of a curve, for example.
So I can grab it at the neck here.
Pressing too much.
We try to change the direction that it curves.
And it's quite pliable flower.
A couple more here.
Especially the thicker stamps.
It's gonna take a little bit longer time.
Well, trust me.
You see?
Right, always uncurve it, yeah?
A lighter one.
Get a towel.
We're not playing too much pressure.
We're just kind of gently bending it,
straightening it out.
And again, they're gonna be the ones that wouldn't want to go
where you are making it go, and that's fine.
Just make sure that you put those more toward the carving.
more toward the carving side. This will take a little bit time. We're not trying to bend it back or anything.
Just squeeze the neck bit. I would pick the most straight pieces like this.
Together, approximately neck to neck. Circle first. Unless you want it to face a certain way, that's fine as well.
And then we keep. And again, while you're doing so, try not to press too hard here, but have a good grip. We start doing the same height.
and circle.
To try now to chokm, um, a bit more.
Just the carved ones
till the end.
So you can finish it up.
It's not fully finished.
We still have one more thing to do here.
There's a couple here.
This would be a barque.
Now I'm going to take a floral tape.
I would say about an inch under their neck.
Simply wrap.
People would use a wire.
That's fine.
I'd prefer to use my tape here.
Okay, okay.
So this is going to hold it in place for right now.
I'm going to put this to the side.
Or you can put this right in a cup if you like.
Just away for a second.
We'll get to the aspedestra.
What we need to do is this type of fold.
First, we need to wipe the leaves.
So it's usually wet a little cloth.
cloth have spots so we just go one by one.
Take carefully. Don't rip it or bend it too much.
You'll see some dirt on your napkin then.
So again it's a white thick leaves.
Okay? So what we're going to do is we want to use this as a frame for our flowers, right?
So as I showed you just a second ago, we'll need to recreate this type of fold.
To make them all the same length, so they will look the same.
When I create a fold, I take it, bend it.
Hold it tight right here.
Make a stapler.
So this way, the leaves stays together.
Don't worry about this.
Okay?
Next me, doing the same thing.
Side.
I'm doing with all of our leaves, as you would like.
You're really easily getting what is required.
If it doesn't crack or break.
Just again, just get it.
make it fold and follow your fingers.
Usually the warmth of your fingers can make leaves and stamps quite easy for you to work with.
It's a beautiful folded as pedastras.
Look like ribbons, don't they? Green ribbons.
To take, while holding them a place, start placing these as tight as you want.
You can also create them higher.
a lower, depending on how you want the look to go.
Try to make sure that it goes in a circle correctly.
Pretty much our final look.
What we're going to do is we're going to need to tape it.
Pieces of tape again, floral tape.
And wrap it again.
So you keep taping it until it's nice and tight for you.
I think it's quite a good looking bouquet, especially for DIY bouquet.
At this point, you could just be able to do you.
You could use Raphaia, your string.
Start wrapping it.
I will be using a ribbon, a white, modern.
Usually you would need to actually cut it ahead of time.
Start wrapping it around the bouquet, nice and tight,
but without again choking your flowers to death.
Okay, but try to make it snug.
Okay.
Now that, uh, so now once you find the perfect to cut, just go ahead and cut it.
Okay? Take this little end, fold it in. So you have a finished look like so.
And now we're getting our pins. These are cut shorter white pins. And you just start to make sure everything's in its place.
Now we're going to try and cut some of this off, okay? Um, basically try and
to make it to be the same length, okay?
And so, here we go.
Nice and cute.
We nicely cut the stamps tightly.
This is all nicely tightened and...
Looks quite attractive.
So now there's another tip.
Clear nail polish.
Gala lilies have the pus, their little secretions,
that come out and they can actually stain clothes.
So what is offered is to use
Clear nail polish.
You would just take it.
You want to stab on each stem
right on the bottom once you again have it ready and
all cut and make sure that you cover each one.
This is the last thing you want is to have your dress stained on your wedding day.
Correct.
Especially not by your flowers.
dipping and going over. I think you can get some of the cheaper one too. Don't worry about it.
What it's going to do is going to seal the ants, clothing. I'll just let it dry.
All a bit. So once you've covered the mold, you let it air dry.
And then you can put it back into the vase and it's ready to go.
Okay, so I hope you enjoyed this video.
I hope it was interesting as much as relaxing,
to you. It was absolutely my pleasure to make it. Thank you.
