Starting point is 00:00:02 Good evening, my name is Maria and today we're going to iron together some clothes. You know it's always nice to have groomed and presentable outfits and a part of that is having your clothes pressed or ironed and today we're going to look at ironing of some jeans which we're also going to fold them very nicely. Also we're going to iron some shirts after So that they can be stackable So you don't have to always hang your shirts You can stack them like this too And they're hanging and roller
Starting point is 00:01:06 Those little hairs My iron is quite sturdy and quite heavy Easily maneuverable on most surfaces This is our ironing board And you will notice that I'm going to utilize this corner quite a lot. It's actually quite convenient to use this more than the rest of the board. Here's our iron. We're going to set it for no steam. To put it for cotton setting, just because most of our clothing is going to be.
Starting point is 00:02:46 We'll start the jeans by placing them all the edge of the table again and you'll see that there's some embroidery and I'm not going to go over with my iron over it just to make sure that I don't melt away the glue and don't pick up okay but we will do our best to go around We're grabbing a lint roller, spray a bottle, and just going to go in as awkward as it is. There is only one way to iron it. Same thing. We iron these parts, but if you can do your best. I'm going to turn it onto the front part.
Starting point is 00:05:50 I usually just twisting it if I spray a little bit here. Make sure to pretend to protect your fingers at all times. On the other side, sometimes almost important. almost impossible to use the fake pockets with things that theory definitely makes it. We always do it, but most of the time the top is not even visible. We do our best. I want to turn these around and just iron the rest.
Starting point is 00:08:20 I'd just like to just straighten out heavy cranny. These oftentimes starts curling up. So you want to just keep it spray like so Take our iron pressing line I want to try to just pull stretch To the same thing on the other leg The same on the front stretching it out
Starting point is 00:10:55 Tag it down again is always stay curled To make sure that we do enough of our fingers Safety is always run away from you Hold the jeans I usually prefer to folding them in the head after I iron doing them out Make sure there's no wrinkles. We don't want no extra wrinkles. We just got rid of all of them. Hold this corner in, like the leg part. There's a couple of ways to do this but we create a fold this. Clean out your fold at the position it a little better and of course again depending on the design On the shape, on the stretch, are your jeans?
Starting point is 00:14:56 The fold is going to be a cording as well. Ski jeans compact. Basically we're done, facing up. This way it's easier to find it in a stack particular one because, let's face it, most of the pocket is something that differentiates one pair from the other favorite. a white shirt. Gailvin Klein
Starting point is 00:16:13 It's a regular fibrin Cromer to see that we always wants to stay curled in again so we'll need to make sure that we'll press it like this and doesn't want to lay it out first to get everything out of the way
Starting point is 00:17:30 we usually might just press with the heat sometimes the corners could curl up too so make sure you I'll press them down nice and firmly. Next we'll do shoulders or yoke areas they call it. And this is when the part of your table comes in handy. You adjust your shoulder and it creates a very nice and stretched area for you here to work with. It's quite so it gets very easy to maneuver.
Starting point is 00:18:39 maneuver, collar is standing up nice and straight since we already pressed it. Like your shirts more crisp. I would recommend using some starch sprays. I'll be honest with you, I don't use it. I feel like as a society we have hopefully moved, but it is definitely something that you will come to experiment with. So now we're just going to literally maneuver with our iron. If you need to, otherwise it's quite... I like to press it extra hard like this. You can see how nice.
Starting point is 00:19:59 This looks now. Change sides. Not to wrinkle the side, we're just ironed. You'll be surprised that by using the lint roller, how much you can pick up. Maybe I'll show you at the end, but it's definitely very good touch to do. make sure it. So now once again we're going to laundry smell and then with a shoulder part take our iron and we're just going to you can don't expect perfection. I'll be there
Starting point is 00:22:33 as well as you can. I usually like to have a crease when I iron the shirts so they usually keep a very good memory of it. You can see they kind of just automatically go into that position to the shape. So here we're going to start at the edge. We're going to go right towards the cuff. I need my spray here. For using the spray, you can really give it just that extra relaxed feel to your, um, to the clothes, to the fabric, just what you need. And then we're going to lift this part up. Going to this little crease and we'll try to do this new ring.
Starting point is 00:25:21 Once again, going on with the heel of the iron. Move towards the shoulder real quick. And then doing a long swipe. You pull up the cuff. Move the heel. The same on the other side. Move the front part. And again, we go our ironing board for this.
Starting point is 00:26:50 So you can see I'm just wrapping around on the seam of the shirt. of the shirt that we can easily glide over. Spraying again over here, we're going tug it up. At the same time as we're bringing in that. Then we run it down. Here, you see? Nice and higher for the other side. We'll need to do the same thing, but
Starting point is 00:29:16 you will need to come from the upper side, up at this side towards you. And this is the part that I was to see how we want to stay, curled up, so I'm going to just spend time on it separately. Sit down. This will save us some head. You see, doesn't want to curl. All right away press the pocket, so it doesn't stop. Okay? And the same way we're going to press a little bit here, pull it right, and grab a piece of fabric here too.
Starting point is 00:31:38 Time here, let me just a little bit of a spray here, actually. That's the trick most, it's good. We just keep rolling. Now we're bringing in our back. back, again. Side seam. Yoke area again, the shoulder. Lent is something that you don't really have to do. Really, really make the surface area.
Starting point is 00:33:42 But you're okay. Twisting seam, same way. Yep. Quite an easy trick. So, it's brame again. To dance, it's so used to, and the movements that it becomes an extension of you. It's very easy for you to figure out. to figure out how to iron certain clothes, fabrics, second nature.
Starting point is 00:36:23 I used to watch my mom and my grandmother iron everything because we didn't have dryer, so there was no way to do it. From her and to be very attractive if they make sense a total sacrifice for the good. Even when you cook dinner, for yourself, somebody's glue. For them, pleasant, very attractive. Button up the top is around, straighten it out. Straighten it out. You want to fold one side in the middle.
Starting point is 00:39:42 And as you fold again, try not to create new creases, new wrinkles. We'll take the handle, our arm. We'll the other side. Just bring it in. Stack them together, the two cuffs on top of each other. Nicely ironed shirt. You can put them together like this and you don't have to have jeans. I hope that was interesting and relaxing as well as informative.
Starting point is 00:42:06 Thank you for ironing with me to me.
