Hello. Welcome to another color analysis session with me. Today we're joined by my dear husband, Darrell,
and I will be performing color analysis on him and we'll see what colors suit him the most.
Are you excited? Yes.
So color analysis is based on color theory and there are four different seasons.
that most of us fit in too.
And we base it usually on undertones of your skin tone
and eye color and hair color in some cases.
And we simply just see what color matches you the best
and you will see a huge transformation as we go through this video.
Some colors will look amazing.
They're going to brighten Darrell up.
Other colors might dull him.
dull him and just will not be flattering. So it's very nice to know what color
suits you best as it helps you to pick the right outfits and have the best
closet options. So let's begin. So whenever we perform color analysis we want our
client to sit in front of the window preferably with natural light and we want to
wear very neutral clothing. In this case it's just a white shirt. I'm also wearing just a black
top so that we don't create any color that can potentially bounce onto his skin as we analyze it.
So one of the first things we will start doing is looking at his undertones, the natural skin
the undertones that all of us have.
And you can see if it's more blue,
more warm undertones, more yellows.
In some cases it's more olive or grey tones too,
but that happens rarely.
More often you're either a warm undertone or cool undertone.
So we'll look at the color of his eyes.
Can you look up?
So they're nice and then we also look at the skin on the rest as we're trying to find the vein
and we need to see if it's leaning towards blue or green more too. In his case, let's say it's a
definite blue but we'll see how the coloring goes along. Okay so far I think it's a cool
undertone. He is very cool. Let's take a look at this.
color so. So one of the easiest ways also to pinpoint the undertone, whether it's warm or
cold, is to bring gold versus silver fabrics. So we're just going to drave it like so and see.
And you can see this does not brighten his features at all. We'll also have a mirror right
here so I'm going to be taking a look at all of my reflections here. And you can see it actually
actually makes him more yellow too, even changes his color a little bit into the green shade.
Now let's take a look at the silver one. So now I'm going to apply a silver shade. Now I don't
have an actual silver but this is very close. Okay and you can see it immediately
brighten him up. It does however cools him off a little too much so as we work with the
color right now you'll be able to see that there will be
certain tones that will be just the most suiting ones.
Begin with purple.
So this shade of purple is warm.
Do not like purple on him.
Can you get this right now?
It's really incredible how you immediately see a little bit of warmth come up in the face.
But I do have to say that.
Cool one.
Cools him off a little bit too much to my liking.
So I actually prefer a warmer.
for bull in him right now.
Let's try some rads.
This is, yes, this is a true red suits the most neutral rad
that usually suits everyone.
And true red is kind of a mixture.
And I do like him in it, I have to say.
It does bring a little bit of radness here and there.
Can you look forward please?
Thank you.
It does bring a little bit of redness where he has it.
But I wouldn't say that it's...
So this is a yellow red with yellow and undertones
and it does not suit him at all.
You can actually see how dull it is.
Let's see the cherry red.
So this one has blue undertones.
But it's just a little bit too dark for him, I think.
It's too red.
All too deep.
Little tones that all of the little tones that all of the other
us wear every day.
We'll begin with this navy shade.
Maybe it looks good.
I like navy.
If you're comparing to black, kind of cuts him off.
That happens oftentimes.
True black, it's very harsh sometimes.
So often when you're light and light eyes
suits you best.
For sure here, you might have a pretty.
Okay?
You might still look stylish.
Actually for a gentleman, they would always look a little bit more classy, the black color, but
Blue suit would be a winner.
Okay, so here's the white.
So now we're taking a look at the gray, and this is a light gray.
And with Daryl's complexion, he actually looks really good in grays, but he needs more color.
I find the very light ones.
Just wash him away a little bit.
and his eyes are very light and don't have too much of a rim on the outside.
So I've noticed by adding more accessories or creating a colorful wardrobe
or having outfits with outlining of some kind that creates a contrast around you,
almost a separation from your skin, such as different color, around your neck,
orange arms. Gray is definitely good, but we knew that. Gray is definitely his good color for him.
So these are now beages and
beige is always a win for. Usually cool tone, it's hard to deal with beige unless it's very calming,
but they also wash out still. This one almost matches his skin color, the separation of something, for example if it's a shirt,
It looks good to yellow beige. See how it actually darkens some of his features.
So this is a cool, cool brown chocolate color.
Doesn't look too bad actually.
It kind of almost highlights his eyebrows a little bit more.
Kind of connects it to the shade.
A little too dark, fine.
None of these are very much winners.
Did you like any browns here?
And I think brown is usually not too choice either way, right?
But I could be wrong.
This one's very nice and bright, much than that.
Nice and bright magenta.
I actually see a little bit of redness coming through.
So I wouldn't say that that's the most flattering color.
Because in one side, I feel like he needs way more color
than just plain white or very light pastels.
But also when you bring up a lot of color,
it becomes a little bit too intense.
So this one's a very berry pink shade.
baby pinks will be better. Yeah, you see how it darkened his complexion right away, almost
make him more pale, which is not what we want. We want brightness and boost in your cheeks
and more vibrance. So while this cold one fits him well, it actually washed him off already.
I want to show you a little bit more again how much the shade color changes.
I'm just try to swim in, okay? So here's a definitely cool color.
and here's a definite warm color.
Is it amazing?
This brings a little bit of like a boost of pink into his presence.
It brings more here.
His forehead got more warm color.
And then this one actually cools him of a lot more.
Of a salmon shade.
So he has a little bit of orange.
This one just white.
I like this salmon shade.
There's more baby pinks.
There's a light lavender.
I'm going crazy.
Because I was so sure that he would look better in cool tones.
And in some cases it really has worked, but I have a feeling you're better and warm.
You might be more spring than summer.
And I'm a little shocked, but also very interesting.
How when you actually apply color versus just going by a undertone,
sometimes you can find things that you just didn't expect.
So this is a air dusty.
This is if you're dusty pink with the face.
Maybe you look too warm, look much fresher in it.
Too pale.
Let's say stick to gray.
Shades.
Definitely gives you more color.
Or interest in yellows.
I actually don't, oftentimes, are overlooked by people,
but it's true that I've not too many people that can look.
Okay, this is very yellow mustardy color.
Too much yellow here.
Now this one actually seems
This one actually just immediately lightened up some areas
Brought a lot of yellow here. I need it more smooth a little bit of um
But again a shade of salmon color more orangey
This one, I know just a lot harsh here warms you up better every day please just too bright too much shade of
but with warm color put some greens
once again orange
So you see I like this one versus damn. I really hope they can't even though this specific green may be not the most
Perfect color now we get to the blues
Not the same. This should be very much his tones since he has a lot of blue undertone
But we'll see how that goes the blower guy say right away. I do like the shade on him
Which is not very surprising because again it's very close to his
eye color, if you lock up a little bit. Blue eyes. My little bit blue is making a little pale.
The rest of it being so bright, but in real life, um, this color looks pretty good on him.
Sometimes the corrections the camera makes kind of take away from the experience too.
So this one's a more warmer shade.
The deep, but more yellow, you can see it's almost purplish too.
This one's actually very almost exact color.
Very close.
And this one just gives you kind of a boost of shade.
Let me just see these two.
These two, this one's twin.
You're a nice shade for you.
It really is kind of your color of your eyes, almost too.
Looks very beautiful.
So I'd say out of the blues, surprisingly, I thought these deeper colors would be best
suit you wonderfully.
I hope you guys agree with me.
I hope you agree with me too.
Obviously, it's not a science, it's very much preferred on your outlook and how you see yourself.
So, it's just a good guide to follow
as you personally go shopping for your favorite against bathing and helping me today.
I hope you enjoyed it. I hope we'll see you soon again.
