Hello everyone, this is Gentle Whispering with you, and I would like to congratulate you with the second year of celebration of International ASMR Day that's celebrated on April 9th, starting 2012.
It has been developed and thought off by Miss Kelly, Miss Autumn Red, and then picked up by a couple more whispers.
We've created the page on Facebook that you're welcome to come and like for us, and we'll put it up by a couple more whispers.
and we'll put it in links down below.
And we decided just to do it sort of to unite our community more.
And me and Elsa have created this tag video this year for you
that we hope you will participate in and for more information about responses and some gifts.
Please stay tuned and in the end of the video you will be giving some instructions.
So this tag video consists of this video,
So seven questions and I hope it will be fun for you.
Question number one is, what does International ASMR Day mean to you?
Well, to me, International ASMR Day means a lot.
When we came up with the International ASMR Day last year, when it was created,
the intention of International ASMR Day was basically to have a day for ourselves,
and for ASMR in general, to just celebrate the fact that we have a day and that we have this wonderful community
and that we can make videos together on this special day for ASMR
and that we can just join each other and celebrate it together and just get that
get together kind of feeling. So for me, international,
ASMR day means a day of, I think in the future, a day of recognition.
And just overall, a very important day for all of us to come together and just to feel
happy together that we experience this wonderful, relaxing and tinkly feeling.
So that's about it for me.
And what do you think, Maria?
For me, ASMR Day means a day of unity, so to say, a day that I think we definitely need to have as a community,
just to have sort of a tradition to celebrate a similar sensation every year.
And I think as a small community will help us bond together more,
and just have more unity in our community.
So for me, as the more day, it's just a way to express myself more to thank everybody to show my gratitude to my viewers and my favorite whispers and anybody who's participating in our community.
And I wish you did it the same.
Question number two. How do you see this day celebrated year to year?
or what type of traditions they think we should adapt.
The first and biggest thing should be creating subgroups on Facebook
and doing more of meetups, like local, regional ones.
For example, there is an SMR group on Facebook.
That's one of the largest groups. It has over 4,000 members.
It's called Autonomous Sensory and Meridian Response Group.
And if we could make sort of subgroups dependent on your location, then you could meet new people and make new friends with people who have singular interests.
Just like yourself.
I personally have found so many people that I wouldn't be able to live without today through this community.
As funny as it sounds, it actually changes lives.
So I thought that maybe in your meetups.
could be a thing that we could start sometime soon.
Maybe we could make little picnics and
brought each other's here.
I don't know.
Maybe even actually giving each other tingles, why not?
Why not?
You both feel that feeling and you both experience it.
You both would know what it feels like.
Why not test it all with another person?
I don't see why not.
Plus you can actually find a buddy and actually find maybe even the love of your life.
So I think that meetups could be good.
Also, I thought that's something just traditional such as just tag videos of some sort
could be a great addition as well.
Banzas and makes us stronger as a community.
When everybody's participating in different contests and stuff like that.
I don't know that.
I just really want to hear your thoughts on that really.
As a developer, I want to hear what do you think.
So please share with us.
And what do you think, Elsa?
I see it that we can celebrate it from year to year
is just by making videos, making tag videos,
so that everyone around the globe can participate in international ASMR Day.
And what I'm hoping for in the future is that we can actually
meet up with each other so that we can organize little get-to-gatherings or conventions, for example.
It would be amazing if we would be able to organize conventions on the 9th of April in the future.
And overall, I just think that for the next few years, we're just going to celebrate it by being together.
for example with the Facebook groups that Maria was already talking about.
And I know that right now there aren't any Facebook groups in Europe,
so that might be an idea if someone wants to start up a Facebook group in Europe,
because it would be a really good idea if people can meet up through Facebook
and that we can organize little get-togeth gatherings.
And like Maria already said, I totally agree with her.
can give each other tingles and just enjoy the fact that we experience ASMR.
And it would also be nice if we can make some sort of traditions, so it would be a lot of fun.
If we can come up with a certain kind of video that we can always make on international ASMR day.
And I think that Tags video are a big part of that because a lot of people can be
participate in that. So if you have good ideas and how we can celebrate international
ASMR Day and how we can involve as many people as possible, we would really like to hear
your ideas. So question number three is show me your tinkle face. So this is a little
bit difficult because personally I don't know how I look like when I have a tinkle face.
I think that most of the time it's just when I'm lying in bed and it's just like that's about it.
But if I listen to videos, I have different kind of ASMR experiences, I think you can say.
From a scale from 1 to 10, sometimes I can feel a relaxing kind of feeling that starts in my head.
and sometimes I can also get a really heavy experience that I tingle like all over the place
so most of the time when I listen to videos I would say that um I just get really relaxed
and I'm just sitting in front of the computer just with my headphones in just like
it's so relaxing but if I get a really really intensive kind of
ASMR experience and it's probably something like most of the time I'm sitting behind my desk with my hand like this
and then it's like it's so relaxing. So it's just like you get like chills everywhere. So yeah my definite
tingle face would be something along the lines of. So yeah, um how about you Maria? I'm really
curious to know how your tingle face looks like. Oh, show uh show you.
my tingle face. I've already did one in my ASMR story video. I'll try to do it again.
You probably look creepy and embarrassing, but I think you would look something like this.
It will really depend on the video that I'm watching.
If it's strong tingles, then I probably would just stop, sort of hypnotize like that,
and would not have we move, and would just follow that person's voice,
every movement not to scare it away. That's my thing. Number four, describe your most intense
ASMR response moments either in real life or through a video. Now I can only describe my
most recent feeling I think that was actually about a year ago and that was the most
intense one this year at least and um
It was from a lady who's a cashier.
And in one of my local department stores.
And she's an African-American lady.
She's pretty big.
And she's very, very deliberate in things that she's doing.
She's very quiet and calm.
Not rushing anything.
Very responsive.
And she has huge long nails like that.
So she can barely do anything with her hands.
obviously. So when I was buying some dresses or something in that department store, she was my
cashier. And as soon as I came up to her, I actually saw a couple of people behind me, but
she was so pleasant, like, I can't even describe it. So she had long nails and she had a
touchscreen instead of her computer. Ask me right away, would you like to apply for our card?
as soon as she said that
I just
got hit by a wave of dingles
and I was like
she started doing things
like you know how
I can't touch the screen
for example
but because she had really long nails
she couldn't touch it all the way
so she wouldn't be like so
deliberate with it
like what is your first name honey
and I was like Maria
and she's tapping in
Marie
And every time how long, like, nail would make a little sound still, because it still would click on it, but she was just so deliberate in it.
And she kept asking for all of my information, and then I started asking your questions about sound they have for card members and stuff like that.
Just anything, so she would keep talking, and it was just so strong.
I think it was the strongest so far, at least in real life.
As far as videos, I actually have a lot of responses that were pretty strong,
but in real life they're obviously always more intense and more pleasant,
because most of the time they are a surprise.
Most of the time they are unintentional,
which makes them just that much more special, right?
But as far as videos, if I find a video that's really inducing to for me,
I would just tingle like crazy most of the time
unless I'm like in my immunity
but recently I haven't been
so I've been enjoying every video that I watch
other than that I remember in my childhood
of my group in my kindergarten
and I had a lot of like friends
that were with me all the time
like a team
so they really loved me
and I would always
give them my hands like that
like this and would ask them each person to start tickle me like that. It would like
lie in her hands. It was pretty intense too. There's still a little bit of a difference
between all three of these responses of mine if you think about it. Because those are
all three different triggers in the curtain garden. They, it was a physical response.
And then with the cashier it was more of a personal attention response.
After a video, it's more of a sound and voice triggers, so I give you three samples.
What about you, Elsa? What's your most intense ASMR response that you remember?
I was sitting in the car, really dangerous to sit in a car when you get a tingle explosion.
And I was listening to this radio program with a little bit of, like, jazzy kind of feeling.
And most of the time, over here in the Netherlands, day 10,
to have like people who represent a program with really low and warm kind of voices.
So this woman was announcing the number.
I was sitting in the car standing in front.
This is so, so relaxing.
Like it was like a tango explosion in my head and in my arms.
Just everywhere.
And I actually turned up the volume because for me,
me, it's like when I hear it a little bit louder, the intensity of the experience becomes a lot bigger too.
So that was really, really, really wonderful. And when I was a kid, I had a few experiences as well,
especially when I was in elementary school. There were like, these girls would always like to
play with your hair and stuff like that. And I was always sitting in my chair and they would
play with your hair and that was just the way how they would like touch it like really carefully.
I lived with my foster parents who had two kids and also had a little girl who really liked it
to brush your hair and just to play together like drink a cup of tea and stuff like that.
And the way how she would pick up a little teacup and then just take a sip and how she would brush my hair
like it's something really delicate
was just really
really wonderful
kids have something that
I can define
and I can't put my finger on it
but they're always really good with
touching things really, really
softly
so that's about
the real life experiences
and then I also have a few
experiences with listening to
videos
I'm really
really sensitive to
have massages, for example, and there is one ad massage that I really, really, really like.
And the first time when I heard it, I was just listening to it.
And I was like, okay, let's listen to this video, because it was a new video.
And as soon as this person started talking, it was so relaxing and just whispering like a really close up to the camera.
then at the same time this head massage absolutely amazing.
So I think that those were my most intense tingle experiences, most intense ASMR responses that I had so far.
Question number five, how did ASMR improve your life?
Well, many of you already know how much ASMR improved
my life. When I first started listening to ASMR videos in 2011, I was in a pretty bad place
with my head. I was just, I was just not myself and I was going through several depressions.
I wasn't able to sleep very well. And when I found ASMR in 2011 on YouTube, when I was looking for
soft-spoken voices or relaxing voices, something along those lines.
I found a video by Whisper Crystal, and it was just so relaxing, and I saw ASMR in the title.
And I was like, hey, what's that?
So I dig a little deeper, and I was looking for ASMR, and after that, I found out that there was this wonderful community,
and that it actually helped me to fall asleep.
and that I could find different triggers and different sounds,
different voices that could make me feel good and comfortable and safe, kind of.
So once I entered the community in the beginning of 2012 myself,
my life improved so much.
I was pretty much, well, I can't say depressed,
but I wasn't a very happy person.
I wasn't a relationship that I wasn't very happy with,
all different kinds of things that I was just not very happy about.
And then when I started my channel
and all these people enjoyed my videos,
I was like, and it gave me just such a good feeling
because I really had a feeling that these people were honest
and true and pure.
and that they actually meant what they said,
and just so generous with compliments and words,
and it truly changed my life,
and I think I can say that it actually made me a better person.
It made me I feel so much more comfortable again around people
because I always tried to avoid a lot of people,
because I had a hard time trusting people,
and because of the community and because of the wonderful feedback and everybody who welcomed me
I had to feel like wow there are still a lot of good people out there and they're in this community
and that just blowing me away I was like wow this is so amazing
and that really motivated me to make more and more videos and I noticed that
every time when I made a video it really relaxed me
as well, so I just had the feeling that I became a little bit more stable again.
So that was really, really wonderful and still up until today,
my life changed so much in a good way and in a positive way.
Every morning when I wake up, I feel happy and when I see all the messages from you guys.
I feel so, so grateful for the fact that I started my YouTube channel back then, because of the
you guys, because of the community, I was able to meet you and also finding the love of my life
and finding friends for the rest of my life. And it was absolutely amazing and it's still amazing.
So I really want to thank you all so much for doing that. And um, how about you, Maria? How did
ASMR improved or changed your life? I think in the past few years,
ASMR has been one of the best things that has ever happened to me person.
Without an SMR, I don't think I would have ever found the love of my life.
My current boyfriend who also has a SMR.
I would never have met him, if not for SMR community.
I just, I don't think I would be the most unhappiest person on planet earth if I wouldn't have found him.
I probably wouldn't be even making videos still if I haven't found him.
I have to say to SMR community at the time of struggle and depression and stress,
at the time when nothing would help me,
at the time when I've realized that nobody wants to help me
and nobody will really help me, except for myself.
I was very lonely and they felt...
They felt like I was all by myself and anger and anxiety and panic attacks were just killing me.
Because it was not even... it didn't feel like it was me.
It was like somebody else inside me and they're just pushing all the buttons one of a sudden.
So, um, at that hard moment I found ASMR community for myself.
Well, it was whisperer community back then.
We didn't have much, but just whisper videos, which was still the biggest blasting together with just a little bit of self-therapy
and information videos and such.
In whisper videos, I was able to fight my stress and my depression.
I was able to find new ways to relax, to find a new thing, something that made me happy.
one of a sudden.
And something that has truly changed my life.
I can't lie.
I completely turn it around for me.
From unhappy to absolutely happy.
I owe it all to this community, I swear.
For example, I would listen to whisper videos back then
when I would, for example, have an angry person talking to me
and I had that burst of negative.
getting it inside me like a huge anxiety empowering me and I couldn't deal with it. It wouldn't stop.
So I would literally go to a lady's room, put on a whisper video, and just listen to it.
Funny as it is, that was the only thing that helped me.
And I was able to control it over time and everything happens for reason.
Then as soon as I started making videos, I have realized that not everybody's so bad,
everybody's out there to get me, you know, to somehow, you know, punch me below the waist,
get on my way of happiness.
I have actually discovered that people care about each other, even stranger, that people can share
so much love.
I was missing that, and I didn't have it at all.
And ESMAR made me a stronger person.
as well as more compassionate, more patient, more centered, and balanced.
Started my channel, I realized that most of people are good.
Matured of people are good.
There's really no such thing as a troll.
So far, I maybe have seen only two people who were really bad.
Other than that, I don't think I've met or heard anything that really touched me to me.
touched me too much and it's all because of the messages that I get from you.
And I get thousands of messages from people.
A lot of you have struggled in your life
and I see how that could change somebody's life and make them bitter.
So I literally have stopped judging people
as soon as I started my channel.
I have stopped judging people and think that this is a bad person for
for example, the probability is if he just had something really bad in his life.
So you should feel bad for that person.
But don't feel that this person is bad.
You should just think, you know, God bless him.
I hope he's going to get out of that.
I hope this person will be happy.
So that's why I never talk back to any negative comments,
because I don't see the reason in it.
When a person is sharing negative thoughts with you, they are sharing themselves.
You just have to read between the lines, so to say.
If I haven't found the SMR community, I think I would be a very unhappy person.
I really think that I was destined to find it to change my life for the better.
And I had so many guardian angels here.
Real friends and that I am today without it without them. Thank you for welcoming me and thank you for keeping me
Thank you for liking me and letting me be a part of your community. I really appreciate that
You really changed my life and I hope in some little tiny way it changed yours too for the better
Okay number six um make a short parody of one of your favorite whispers or as some artists
Make sure to say their name.
My favorites, one of my last favorites that have recently discovered is
Massage ASMR.
He's a wonderful soft-spoken man, a whisper.
Well, he's not really whisper.
More of a soft-spoken person.
And he has a wonderful accent, and I would like to show him if it's possible.
Good evening.
He's Dr. Demi.
Dr. Dimitra. Today, I would like to give you a listening of a sound.
He likes to do like this. I like how he listens when he doing it.
Like giving you a listen in his binaural microphones.
Like that.
Then listening himself and giving to him again.
And it's very cute, I think. And we really love him.
What about Jilsa?
What's your favorite to ask my whisperer that she would like to pair?
today. The person that I want to do a parody on is ASMR love. I absolutely love that girl.
She has some really characteristic kind of features, what she does in her video.
She's always really up close to the camera, I think, like this.
And she's always looking over the cameras. I'm not interested to do this.
Today I just want to give you an update. I'm actually doing pretty well.
and I just wanted to say that I just got a new job and I'm really, really happy about it,
but the downside of that is that I don't have a lot of time to make videos with,
so I hope that you guys will understand, but before I'm going to start this video,
I want to apologize for my nails, because I know that my nails can really add to the fact of relax
So my nails don't look that good at the moment. But anyways, let me just get started getting some random objects here from my desk. I always really really enjoyed it. That was my little parody of ASMR love. She always tapping and scratching a lot of things. She is absolutely wonderful.
Question number seven is how do you see ASMR developing in the next five years? If I have to be on
It's really, really hard to say how it's going to develop.
Right now in the last year, in 2012, the community grew so, so much.
There were so many wonderful ASM artists that entered the community and who started their own YouTube channel.
Now, for the rest of the five years, I think that there will be some research, maybe from ASMR research group, maybe from aISM research group, maybe from
someone else who has the things to actually perform research.
I know that at the moment they're already busy with that,
um, doing that research.
And I think that ASMR will be, basically be recognized for a lot of people,
get recognition, because I know that there are a lot of people out there
who already use ASMR instead of sleeping pills and stuff like that.
So I think that once the research has been done, it will go really, really fast
and I think it will spread out a lot more in the media.
Once everything is proven and what ASMR is good for, basically,
except for the fact that we already know that it's good for relaxation and for sleeping
and helping you to concentrate,
I think that it might be able that
ASMR is going to be used as sleeping therapy, for example.
Who knows? I don't know exactly what the developments will be, but I can definitely see that that is one of the possibilities.
And I also think that in the future we are appointed to have conventions that we can get together, celebrate ASMR, together, maybe even give each other ASMR, touching each other's hands, and
Stuff like the folding towels for each other. Who knows?
That's what I think that can happen in the next five years.
I think that an ASMR clinic or an ASMR health spa, who knows,
is something that is not going to happen in the next five years,
maybe on the long term it will.
I think there will be more TV shows who will spend
some broadcasting time to ASMR this subject
and at more radio stations and more TV shows and more new newspapers will give some attention about ASMR
and spreading out the words so that more and more people will find out about ASMR.
So that is what I think I was going to develop in the next five years.
And Maria, how do you see this developing in the next five years?
As for me, I think that we can already see
so much improvement in our community in a very short period of time.
And I think that our community will only grow.
Some artists bring something new to the temple, to the table,
who will show us a different side of a SMR, I'm sure.
I think that we'll maybe develop or create new triggers
that we still don't know about.
Special effects will increase the feeling of relaxation
and will continue attracting more.
attention from media and hopefully we'll get some research done on this and
maybe this will actually be used in medicine or something like that in some way
that could benefit everyone out there because we don't have a common-up the same goal we'll achieve
and I congratulate that as well so thank you for your
Much love to you guys. Happy Asmore Day.
Thank you so much for watching this tag video.
And we would like to ask you to participate in this tag video as well.
We would like to ask you to answer the same seven questions as Maria and I just answered
and post your response as a video response
down below. Whispering Weaver, Chris, and Kelly, Ms. Honomin' Red are going to pick out
five people just randomly who are going to get a goody bag that Kelly basically organized.
So I can't say that there are going to be real winners. There are just going to be five random
people who are going to be picked out by Whispering Reaver and Kelly Ms. Ottoman Red.
So thank you so much for participating.
and thank you so much for watching. We are really, really grateful and have a wonderful,
happy and relaxing international ASMR day. And we would love to see your video responses.
We love you.
