inspiration to surgery.
I was trying to look up with different techniques of relaxation for dogs
and massage was one of them
and in this video I will show you some of the techniques that helped my dog
to relax during hard times
or you can do that to your animal.
There's never too much attention that you can give to your animal
To start the massage, you would want to put your hand behind your ears in the back.
I will say he, because I would refer to him at this point.
In the end, we want on top of his tail.
Try to share positive energy with your animal, that you are trying to comfort them,
that you're trying to help them.
Now, during this session, if they start drooling or fall asleep or start snoring,
That means you're doing everything right.
Now it's starting massage behind the eat always remember not to do too much pressure,
um, not to apply too much pressure because their bodies are a little bit different from human body.
They don't need their muscles to be like we do.
Just slight loosening of the skin.
As weird as it may be, it can be actually very relaxing for you too.
You can hear them breathing, you see them very relaxed.
You just share a moment with a friend this way, right?
You would want to work with the ears too.
So next, you massage the ears, you can go around their face, eyes area.
Two circle movements around the ears here.
On the jaw, their jaw, massage their gums, but don't.
To their chest area, and just work in the loosening.
It's loosening up, luring so loud.
He obviously likes it.
Yeah, he's shading pretty nice.
What you can do is
this light tap.
This is really relaxing for them.
They really feel this dress.
It's just the pants of your fingers still over their body.
I send it this video.
I won't be doing that in Russian because he's a Russian-speaking dog.
So I'll sleep.
Just loosening the skin here.
I want to actually work with the muscle, just like with the human body you would really press hard.
You just want to slightly run your fingers through their muscles here.
Into the inner portion of their body, like where their organs are, just go.
And of the rib cage.
So do circular movements.
Blosene up their skin, to let the tissues reattached.
He's snoring. He's an older dog, so he was snoring.
I do this massage as maybe once or twice a month now for him.
Just whenever I watch a video or watch TV or if I have nothing better to do or I want to relax.
Or I want to just spend time with him. I would do a massage for him.
And you can always tell that he really appreciates it.
Now we're going to work with the paws. I will show you how you would work that.
you would work that. You would usually just pick it up and let it fall into your hand without
restricting it or repositioning it the way you want it. Just let it fall. You would finish up
below here slightly no pressure needed at all. We'll see here on the top and through the tip.
Now some dogs with our or cats with our arthritis. Some
problems with walking or adults already. They might have problems with this portion of the body
right here with the paw. Because obviously they use it every day just like we do.
So, massage is like this. When you go to the joint and up and to the finger,
really help them loosen up a bit. They really enjoy this.
It's just like us, we really want in letting like foot massage.
Just right? So the same way.
Now there's another technique of when you would stretch the paw.
And don't hold their foot with your hand like this.
And with the other hand, try to bend the top portion of their paw.
While you're doing that, I cannot stress that enough.
Please look at your dog's reaction.
Don't let them try to try to try and
to hesitate it. Don't let them try to, um, don't let yourself try to force it so much.
Anyway, they really like this. If they don't, that means you're not doing it, right?
It's close your eyes and they'll fall asleep long time.
Now, he really likes when I stretch his body like that.
And now, same way, we'll press on the bottom here, like so, and breathe.
And they will feel really good for them because it would stretch the bottom part,
part of their paw in the south
as well. And now just apply pressure, just squish their paws all together.
Obviously they repeat it on the other side, but
I will do that after I stopped.
I loosen out the skin again here and there.
It's through the bottom part. They have a lot of joints on the back of their legs.
Please do not touch that because that's a very sensitive area.
Just try to avoid it, go all the way up to it, and just, your dog is trying to take their leg away.
That means you're not doing it right, I'm sorry, I'm going to stretch it again.
He really likes to hold it and stretch it slow and down.
No same way, but the other side, the other way.
The balls of his feet on the top.
And just pressing, and his eyes are closed.
I'm checking on him every minute.
minutes just to see that he's enjoying this squish it much pressure I think he's annoyed with this
let it go.
We'll do the last.
To a deep sleep to prepare him, deeper relaxation.
And the end of the session I always recommend to put your hand again, to put your hand on top of his head here between his ears and the other hand follow his speed.
Follow his spine line and put it around his sacram area or the top of his tail and now breathe.
Try to think only positive thoughts. Try to share your love with him.
Try to communicate with him on a deeper energy level.
Dogs always feel your energy. That's most of the time how they understand you.
So try to share love with him something positive, especially,
Especially if it's a dog with anxiety problems or just post-surgery problems.
And I will talk to him.
In a sweet way, just to encourage him and praise him.
I will speak in Russian, however, once again,
because he is a Russian-speaking dog.
So I will just tell him how great he is and how brave and cute he is and how much I love him.
I'm, I'm still, I've been all the video,
yeah, because Mom had you mucing.
Mom had you made a massage,
you'll be, you'll bea
you, you'll be very,
you'll be so very
you'll just be in the most
you're all the same
about some of the good,
about some of the
little, my good,
so my good,
so I'm sorry,
you're all right,
you're just,
I'm just talking about, so we know what you,
so much, so... Malaytia, no one.
I hope you enjoyed this video,
and I hope this was helpful as well as relaxing for you.
Love our dogs and our cats and our animals and our pets altogether.
Thank you so much for watching.
