You're richer than you think. It's a star. You make it out of paper. Let me as many pieces as you'd like in a smaller size and also in so-called not necessary.
Starting point is 00:02:29 to make it out of eight pieces or basically as many as you'd like it's just going to look a little bit more different it's got a different shape to it let me show you how to make it but it's really easy to do that's attached in the middle by just one staple and it's attached between each other with the double-sided tape but you can see all the beautiful lines I did some accents right here with some nail polish, just to make it more fastive and more Christmassy looking. And at the same time, I think it could be good for Jewish holidays too for Hanukkah, because only if you make it with the blue and white paper, I think it might look very neat, because it is six-pointed star. once again and in the end we'll use a paper clip as a hanger for it.
Starting point is 00:03:43 I usually make this every year and I make a few and I put them and I put them around my house and it creates a certain theme for the Christmas and New Year and everything so for this we'll need some different items we'll need scissors in this case I'm going to be using my kitchen scissors because unfortunately I have any other ones at home then I will be using plain nail art nail polish with sparkles but you can use any kind of shimmery paints or sparkly paints that you have and just dip some kind of a brush into it and use it as that but I use this it's really cheap it was about a dollar I used it actually on my fingernails
Starting point is 00:04:39 if you noticed, to do accents right here to make it look more fast if so that's the second thing. Then we'll be using a double-sided sketch tape to attach pieces together. Some paper clips once again for hanging purposes. It's just a little bit easier with the paper clips because you can just unbend it and it becomes a simple hook. like a two-sided hook, which is really neat for this kind of things. I do the same thing with the Christmas ornaments. When I put them on the tree, I just use big paper clips.
Starting point is 00:05:34 And, of course, the paper. You might also need a stapler, but not necessary. I'm not going to be using it, but I'll show you how to use it. For this purpose, I'm going to be using two-colored paper, which is this nice purple kind of bluish lilac. color, which I think is very beautiful color. This paper is a very thick type of paper too. It's It has not so much texture. It's pretty smooth, but it's thicker than than you regular paper. I usually buy it in just the regular office supply store and it's usually in a copy paper section, but I still like it better because it's a higher
Starting point is 00:06:34 quality in the regular paper. I use white one as a very thick paper, a piece of each, to show you how to do this. When we'll start with the white one. So right now, out of the shape of paper, we'll need to make a square piece. So we'll need to cut off the bottom part for that. We need to bend it just like that. making this corner match this outside of all of the paper and making this corner right here a pointy one. So you need to try to be very neat with it so it's going to look straight and beautiful. Basically just find this corner and hold it in place and then you just slide your hand over it. You can also use your nail or just your finger or any other. kind of a sharp our object like scissors over the side just to make it more more straight and just to
Starting point is 00:08:31 make sure that it's going to be perfectly shaped right now we'll need to cut this portion off of scissors once again we'll hold it together just like that find this point nothing hard at Just like that. And we'll take this piece away from us because we won't need it. Right now, I'll need to bend it in the middle. Once again, we'll need to match this corner with this one. Very carefully. No need to rush.
Starting point is 00:09:10 And we need to bend this corner. So, we'll get it perfectly. There will. And now we straighten the paper out. I'm going to use my fingernails for that. Right now it's going to be a little bit tricky to remember, but you have to remember that the ears and the outside corner goes away from you. And this corner with the crease goes close to you, just like this.
Starting point is 00:09:52 So we'll need to make four. I'll show you once again remember that the ears go out, and this pointy piece goes out too. You strip, not not off, but just when you card it, except that far away from the ant. Then we'll do the rest of our... So this is cut number two. And we'll start approximately around the same line along this side. Try to visually separate this paper into four, into five pieces, so you will know approximately how far we need to make.
Starting point is 00:10:59 make cuts. We need to open it up and re-open it from the middle this way. It already looks like a 3D shape, like a 3D object. You can see this is just a part of it. So right now this is where we start using our table-sided tape. Right now you need to remember one little trick. We'll be bending these pieces inside like that into the middle. Let me show you actually already on that one of the pre-done models. Just like this. This is a pre-done model. You can see that all the species are banded together. This is what it looks like from the top, from the inside.
Starting point is 00:12:10 You can see that there are spaces. That is when you bend these two sides away from each other. So we start from one, two, three, and to the rest on the other side. the rest on the other side, one and two. This way it aligns and opens up the space. This is how it's done, this is how it makes it look more 3D dimensional. So just like that. We'll need to use our tape. You need to cut square pieces just like this and because it's pointy, we'll put this point, this tip right here. here and now we do it every second paper leaving the next one and we'll see i'm going to miss this one and i'm going to put it on the third one from the inside
Starting point is 00:13:33 same way pointy part up and the last one same way this piece up right here this won't be a pretty long video i apologize for that but hopefully it won't be soothing enough so you can watch it till the end So right now we're going to bend it over just like that. So with the sticky part up, we go over the piece. You can put your finger there so you can squish it closer. Very well. Just like this, try to stay in the middle, press on it, rub it in a little bit. So it's going to stay in the last two pieces.
Starting point is 00:14:27 Once again the sticky part goes down onto the next one. next one. And we'll wrap it in. So this is what it's going to look like from the top. Now we turn it around. We'll do the same thing with the rest of them, but facing the other way. A piece of tape, put it right into the corner right here. And let's and wrap it in. Same way with the last one. Take it, put it into the corner, wrap it in, and it's done. I apologize for that sound. Now we're gonna use our brush. Now I'm not gonna be too particular about this because you can't really see the lines too well. You just see the shadows and the sparkle itself.
Starting point is 00:15:47 So what we do is just draw a long line. It doesn't have to be very neatly done. That's again because, you know, nobody's really gonna look at it. You usually look at the done material then and then. two separate parts with things like that at least. And we do it along the lines, along the scene curves, if I might call that like this. Just a do.
Starting point is 00:16:32 I'm very sloppy. But again, the paper is moving all over the place. Not really trying to be... Although once again, if you're making just one piece, then you can be as, you know, as a neat with it. and meet with it as possible. But see if you give it to your children or if you're a child yourself,
Starting point is 00:17:01 then it won't be so much fun for you. Because you can't really mess it up. You can put stars on it. You can draw circles or waves on it. Anything you want, smiley faces. It doesn't matter. As long as you enjoy it. Because it's Christmas time, you know?
Starting point is 00:17:20 Not only Christmas, but a lot of holidays. holidays are coming. This is the end result of just one piece out of six. Let me do one last one, just to show you, just to make sure that you understand how to do it again. Once again, we'll take a piece of paper and we need to make a square out of it. So I bend it over. Make sure that all the corners are clean. And do even these for my husband's job.
Starting point is 00:18:19 I make like 12 of them. well of them and he hangs them all over his stool and that looks actually really good because I mean it's almost like professionally done once again we close the corners together and then they have the corners just like this make sure that the corners are in the line and we close it straightened out they face away from us and this corner to your right side and this pointing And we make imaginary cuts, for real. All the way down, and this is soothing enough for you guys.
Starting point is 00:19:29 Enjoy this. You can make that yourself, or with your kids, or with your parents, because it's a lot of fun. Now when we're done with cutting, we open it up. I'm sure that a lot of people make these, I don't know if you're, if all of you are familiar with this, but it's really nice. Once again, we just need to straighten it up a bit. Make our tape. We'll this together. Put a finger there. Because the first one is the tricky one.
Starting point is 00:20:53 It's really hard not to bend the paper. It doesn't stay all the time. Rove it in. It's like this. And the last two. Try to go from the middle out because otherwise it's going to be on your way and it's not going to be very comfortable and convenient for you to do. Close it.
Starting point is 00:22:05 Just like this. Now once again we take our paint, we open it, and we draw our little lines there. You can use colored paper too, I guess. You can make it yellow or green, any color really. You can make it all one color or make all of these leaves, as you might call them, different color, just like a rainbow. So it's going to look even more pretty. Or you can use already not a tissue paper, but like wrapping paper, that already has some kind of a drawing on it. Or like Santa Claus or also snowflakes or something like that.
Starting point is 00:23:06 Along the lines right here, once again, you can draw waves, smiley faces, circles. You don't even have to draw anything, really. You can just leave it this way. And it's still going to look pretty. and nice. You can give it to somebody as a gift. Maybe your mom or your grandma.
Starting point is 00:23:31 You know, your parents always love stuff like that. Things that are made by you. Not just bought, but actually created by you. Because you put your heart into it. We used to do a lot of crafts
Starting point is 00:23:50 in our family. Maybe because my mom is an architect and a designer. Maybe that's why So right now it's going to be the tricky part. I will leave this one for the rest so it will dry. But I already have pieces pre-made. Because we need to gather all of these together and we need to see the they're facing the same way, if you know what I mean. Because you have three pieces on one side and two on the other side. Right now we need to try and make it all face the same way.
Starting point is 00:24:53 So right here I have it three pieces to the right. to the right three pieces to the right three pieces to the right and again I put this like that because I have three pieces to the right I gather them together be careful on this happen but it's all tricky to hold all of them the last one once again pay attention where the pieces are facing the too harsh apologize I just need one staple one staple I take my staple and that place it right on the corner. Very good. And we're almost done. Right now I need to straighten the mouth. So I'm going to bend them the other way, the opposite way. And they will look more organic and natural looking.
Starting point is 00:26:57 That is to connect these pieces together. So right here you see that we have our double-sided tape again. Make a square. Close it with the next one. Close it. To attach these six. This tape. part that I was telling you about that you can use instead of the double-sided tape is for this for example because you can instead of just glow in it together you can staple them just like this this way you make sure that it will definitely stay together and will not unlock over time so you can do it either way the good part about this snowflake as you might call it um is that you cannot see any seams because it's so busy you don't see any seams or any imperfections in it because of the 3d effect
Starting point is 00:29:01 open up with time so it's staple it because it has the opening right here we'll staple it together we're basically are done right now you need to decide if you want to hang it by the white part or the blue part. Now we'll take our paper clip. We undo it because I hang it with the blue side up. Unlook. Let me go right with the paperclubs this way you're laying. Let me show it to you the way it looks right now.
Starting point is 00:29:56 And once again, if you want to add pieces, you can just make these in smaller sizes and attach them to the bottom. as many as you want. So this is the finished look of the star. Hope you enjoyed it. Once again, this is the one with the tail. And I made little star designs on the top there instead of just lines. But once again, it's your decision.
Starting point is 00:30:28 You can make it look as the way you want it to look. Just like this. Thank you so much for watching. And I wish you happy. I wish you, happy holidays. I will see you before the holidays, though. Thank you so much and have a great day.
