Intelligent Psychotherapy can help you conquer your depression. Remember the classic children's book, Winnie the Pooh by A.A. Milne. He tells the story and adventures of a bear, Winnie the Pooh. He lives in the imagination of Christopher Robin and is surrounded by animal friends, including a blue donkey named Eeyore.

If I were E.O.'s therapist, I would use mental and psychotherapy, that is, M.P.T, to help him put a spring back in his step. Don't we all feel, woe is me, ain't it awful from time to time? When these depressive feelings won't go away with changing circumstances, weaving the treatment strategies of mindfulness, positive psychology, and cognitive behavioral interventions will help lift your patient's mood and put him on a healing journey. Depression is the cornerstone of stuckness. To get unstuck, first embrace mindfulness. That is, make a point of being in your present. What is your right now? Check your five sensory input to experience being present

With practice, you will collapse your history of bad things that happened to you and set aside your negative thinking about stressful things anticipated. For the moment, your now is where you want to be. With mindfulness as a foundation for healing, use elements of positive psychology to formulate strategies for chipping away at your depression. To begin with, activity is always an antidote for depression. Now, being depressed means you don't feel like being active. So, use the as-if principle to avoid being stuck in the morass of depression. That is, when you don't feel like being active, act as if you do feel like it, and just do it. You will find your mood lifting with the mere effort of being active.
Starting point is 00:01:58 Also, find Seligman's Values in Action inventory of strengths, that is VIA-IS, online, at www.V.V.I.character.org to discover your signature strengths of character and incorporate them into your daily life. Now, being mindful and incorporating your signature strengths of your character into your daily life,
Starting point is 00:02:22 make use of cognitive behavioral interventions. patients who embrace the healing journey often make daily to-do lists to help them clear out the debris of their lives and stay on task. Ending each day journaling your core feelings for the day helps to close the book and embrace the positive. Developing a gratitude list and posting it on your refrigerator also helps remind you of what's important to you. Mentaligent psychotherapy is much more than talk therapy.
