Starting point is 00:00:00 This is the University of Michigan. Touchdown, Michigan! The beat of Michigan football! And they've caught extra pass. And it goes to the win! The three-pointer by Jordan Poole! Down the sideline! Peebles-Jones!
Starting point is 00:00:21 Touchdown, Wolverines! All right, welcome back to Blue by 90. I'm Justin, joined by Tanner and Kaylin again. It is Wednesday, November 29th at 5.11 p.m. And Ohio State still has not posted the score on Twitter. So they're running from it. cat tweeted at him today again so we appreciate the sport uh but i mean just proving for once and for all that they're the softest program of all time so soft in shambles. Ryan Day is still crying somewhere. Well, no. So today, so the same guy who tweeted out the video footage that highlighted Connor Stallions on the sideline during the Michigan-Ohio State game last year, where Ohio State ended up scoring a touchdown on that play as proof that sign-stealing was occurring,
Starting point is 00:01:20 he tweeted that however many tickets that Connor bought. So they must be feeding this info get this out there we need buckeye nation to you know run with the excuses we can't we can't admit that michigan is the better team and program right now um so we gotta we gotta leak it out to the the columbus big j journalists and uh tweet out stuff that we already know happened a month ago so that's's where we're at with Ohio State. Yeah, for sure. It's funny how that all works.
Starting point is 00:01:53 You know, it's just you turn – the way that Ohio State Twitter has turned from, you know, all that stuff to you get your ass beat, and now it's the excuses, again, of why and how. They're trying to grasp onto literally anything except for the fact that Michigan is a better program. They'll say anything except for admit that Michigan is a better program at this point. I'll tell you what, as a Michigan fan,
Starting point is 00:02:26 I am just loving every second of this. I am soaking up this win. I'm just like, this is the greatest time in my life. So nice being on this side of it. But I love the guy who's like, look at the football and Rod Moore. It's like, no, that was actually just his elbow. And then this Big Ten cinematic, like the Big Ten Network, had a very clear shot of that.
Starting point is 00:02:51 The ball never came close to touching the ground. These people are just broken. It's amazing. They're literally making things up. This is, I feel like, I feel like this, where they're at right now is where we were at for JT was short, which shout out JT Barrett again for being a friend of the pod. We should have done a live pod with JT Barrett, obviously.
Starting point is 00:03:16 And Cardale Jones. And Cardale Jones as he FaceTimed him. But like, you know, remember like how many different different angles and pictures and we're trying to draw the line of where JT was and how he was short. And you're trying to pick up different videos and different camera angles and all that stuff. That's where they are right now. And I saw, I think it was Bill Rabinovitz or whatever his name is,
Starting point is 00:03:45 was like posting, you know, play after play of how they got screwed by the refs and this call didn't go their way and it should have. And like it was like a thread of like 10 different plays where – and I'm just like, oh my God, man. Like just accept it. You know, I know we're in the denial phase still. And I'm just like, oh, my God, man. Like, just accept it. You know, I know we're in the denial phase still. When does acceptance come in?
Starting point is 00:04:14 In that 12-step process, how many days can you deny it? I think it's just, will it be when they watch Michigan trot out onto the field on Saturday? Because I've also seen some tweets out there that are like, yep, new news is coming out. They're going to ban Michigan from the Big Ten championship this week. Ohio State will be taking their place. Yeah, well, and for those of you who tuned into the Barstool livestream, there was a stranger in the crowd who had some new news about Ryan Day, right? Handed a little note out to Dave. I will say I'm just glad Stallions is alive.
Starting point is 00:04:49 I think that there was, you know, I was just worried about him for a while there. You know, nothing heard from him. How wild is that? Can we talk about this, Jess? I know we've kind of been. Yeah, you're fine. I'm team CS, dog. I'm back on the Connor Stallions train.
Starting point is 00:05:07 He did nothing wrong. I'm so Team Stallions. I need like how Dave Portnoy has his Team Portnoy jumpsuits. I need a Team Stallions jumpsuit. That's what I need. I'm so back on the train, dude. It's not even funny. It was wild to see him in the flesh.
Starting point is 00:05:27 I'll say that. Because I think this whole, like, we obviously saw him on the sidelines and there's videos and stuff. But, like, since that moment that this all came out, we haven't seen him. So he was kind of like a fictionary character, right, through all this. And then, like, you see him in the background of those videos now. It's like, holy shit, he's real still. With sunglasses on at night, just like during the football game.
Starting point is 00:05:52 It's just so wild. Like, could you imagine if that was, like, Chris Partridge? Like, what? I'm also team Chris Partridge. Did nothing wrong. Did nothing wrong. Yeah. I mean, hey Did nothing wrong. Yeah. I mean, hey, here's the thing.
Starting point is 00:06:07 All that I know is we're going to Indy on Saturday. We're going to watch Michigan play in the Big Ten Championship for the third time in a row. One, two, three. Third time in a row. And Ohio State gets to sit their ass at home and watch again. You want to know what I love so much is everyone's looking at these, like, college football playoff scenarios and how teams move up and down
Starting point is 00:06:33 and all this stuff, and the only team in that conversation that doesn't play this weekend is Ohio State. Well, and it's like they're at the – so real quick, we're talking about the stages of grief. I just wanted to bring this up. I think they're in the bargaining stage now of like, ooh, well maybe we can have seven upsets and we'll sneak in somehow. And if this team does that and that team does this,
Starting point is 00:06:59 then we're going to sneak in. That's how we were in 2016. So I love that they're on the other side of this because they're not getting in. Like there's – I don't think there's a way that they get in. Like there's no way that they're going to sneak in because when Texas wins, Texas is going to jump them. Alabama, Georgia, that game, Alabama will jump them if they beat Georgia. Like it is just incredible to see the mental gymnastics on the timeline.
Starting point is 00:07:22 Like these guys, man, they're like the Sean Johnson. Shout out Sean Johnson. That's a throwback. I couldn't think of any other gymnastics. Natalie Wojcik, Big Ten champ, national champ at Michigan. She's also the GOAT. Yeah. They're on that level.
Starting point is 00:07:40 She has a full five rings, a full hand of five rings. Pretty incredible. That's where they're at, man, on full hand of five rings. Pretty incredible. That's where they're at, man, on Twitter. So it's incredible to see. You know, and you mentioned Bill Rabinowitz, not like a 247 Buck Nuts guy, like literally for the Columbus Dispatch, like a very reputable newspaper, and that's what he's doing. So, you know, they're all broken, and it's what that's what he's doing so you know they're all broken and uh it's amazing
Starting point is 00:08:05 even dude even the buck nuts guys like i they're 247 like i it's not like they're us you know what i mean where we're like a blog that is a podcast that's obviously gonna be way way pro michigan like i feel like you know sam webb is on 247 but he's still like uh you know uh objective in a lot of you know obviously leans michigan the buck nuts 247 guys are like conspiracy theory towards ohio state matt baxendale that guy is a truther of any the fact that you know all of these guys' names because they come up on, because since Elon Musk switched up the Twitter algorithm,
Starting point is 00:08:50 yes, that's exactly why I see all these idiots on my timeline now. They're on a list. Because I switched a following, dude. I switched a following and it comes back. What's that movie? Is that Adam Sandler where he calls that guy and he's like, sorry.
Starting point is 00:09:05 And he's just like, okay. And then he crosses the name off of a list. Dude, it's so annoying. I see so many people that I don't want to see because it always switches you back to the For You page. So that's why I know these folks. But also, dude, I'm deep on Michigan internet. Like Twitter, 247, On3, Rivals. I'm in all that.
Starting point is 00:09:28 Emgo Blog, I'm up in those comments. You want to know what's been really nice, though? I'm pretty deep. I mean, I'm scrolling on Twitter a lot, a lot for sure. But what's nice is being able to log off and knowing that we're on the the good side of things, like we're on the winning side of things here, because I think the doom scrolling of we've all been there, right? like why, you know, another reason, all right, this is why we lost or they cheated or, you know, this call went against us. Like you're just searching, searching, searching for anything. That's where they're at right now.
Starting point is 00:10:14 For us, I can log off and I, you know, I log into the Michigan Athletics app and then I see my tickets for Saturday for the Big Ten Championship and then I feel better. I feel great. So even though it's annoying to see all those guys, I still am in a good spot right now. And I think that Ohio State, how bad of a spot are they in? That's what I really want to know because, like,
Starting point is 00:10:39 I would love to see the Ohio State message boards right now. As we predicted, has it gone all the way to fire Ryan Day? Or is it like a battle of fire Ryan Days versus like, no, he's still 50-whatever-and-three. Like, we need to keep him. That's got to be what's going on in the message boards, right? I think so. I'll tell you, I left the stadium stadium and the moment that I had internet connection,
Starting point is 00:11:06 I fired off a couple tweets from some bookmarks that I had and then I immediately was like, Ohio State 247 into Google, went in there, saw what was going on. You know, immediately a lot of it was that anger stage, the five stages of grief for them. There was folks going back and forth, arguing about Ryan Day, arguing about they should fire him
Starting point is 00:11:26 or not fire him. And you've seen that on Twitter. But I'll tell you, Justin, I don't think this is what you were asking necessarily, but you asked how bad of a place are they in. I've seen conversations on Twitter from Ohio State fans arguing about KJ Jefferson versus Cam Ward in the portal. So that's where they're at right now. We're talking about a Big Ten championship, and they're talking about some okay quarterbacks to potentially come in in the portal. So that's where they're at right now. We're talking about a Big Ten championship, and they're talking about some okay quarterbacks to potentially come in in the portal and beat out five-star Kyle McCord. So they're down bad,
Starting point is 00:11:52 as the kids would say. They're down very bad, and I would love to feel bad for them, but I just don't. I just don't. So we can continue stepping on their graves, and we will. We absolutely will.
Starting point is 00:12:07 Let's talk about this weekend. So we are headed to Indianapolis. We'll be there on Saturday. 2 p.m. is when the tailgate starts. We're getting into the lot, 650 Southwest Street in Indianapolis, Indiana. It's like a less than 10-minute walk from Lucas Oil Stadium. It's right around the corner. You can see the stadium from the lot.
Starting point is 00:12:33 So if you want a spot in that lot, go on ParkWiz, the app. No free ads, but this is the best place to get a parking pass for that. ParkWiz has it, and you can buy it for like 45 bucks. It's, it's not that bad, honestly. So come join us. We're going to have North peak hail IPA blue by 90 beer.
Starting point is 00:12:53 A lot of it. This is like, this is it. We're, we're blowing it out for the, for the for as much beer as we can. We'll have Penelope bourbon as well. So shout out Penelope Bourbon there too.
Starting point is 00:13:06 We'll have – we're partnering with the Jerks. If you know the Jerks on Twitter, we're partnering with them there. We'll have their sliders, which are freaking unbelievable. So I can't wait for that. Championship level sliders, absolutely. Last year at the Big Ten Championship was maybe the best tailgate of the year. So this is, we're planning to do the same.
Starting point is 00:13:32 So come meet us. We'll be there at 2 p.m. Iowa. What do we say about Iowa? You know what? I think we could definitely have to still play the game.
Starting point is 00:13:50 We have to play the game. You have to play the game. You know, I can't say that Iowa is a lucky team. And lucky teams kind of scare me sometimes. Right? So Michigan, coming off a big win off of Ohio State, right?
Starting point is 00:14:09 Gets Jim Harbaugh back, going to the Big Ten title game for the third time. Could there be a little bit of that deflate after a big game? And then versus a really lucky team that plays generally good defense i can see where if you're an iowa fan your your goal would be to be within 10 in the fourth quarter i mean well you you can't score more than 15 in a game so you definitely have to be within 10 in the fourth quarter for sure um i mean i agree with you though like i did feel you know the first year uh in 2021 like we came out swinging i remember being in that game and it was like you know big run by blake jj's out there blocking for him you know the place went ballistic then the neck you know we stop them The next possession is Donovan Edwards.
Starting point is 00:15:05 Absolute dime to Roman Wilson. Place goes ballistic, right? It was like we were shot out of a fucking cannon. Now, if you go back and watch that game, though, and that first Iowa possession, they marched right down the field. We got a stop, and they missed a field goal. Yes, you're correct. they're definitely a team that's like ready to play us right i agree well there's no sam laporta hold on so that's true but they
Starting point is 00:15:35 last year it was not as like shot out of a cannon like pur, Purdue played us tough through three quarters, legitimately. You know, I mean, they diced up our defense pretty good. You know, if Will Johnson doesn't get two picks in that game, it could be a different story. So, I feel like that was, like, we weren't as pumped for that game because it's the second year in a row. It's a lesser opponent. You know, for the third year now now it's an even lesser opponent right like this I mean legitimately that's just like their offense hasn't scored in years and you know
Starting point is 00:16:13 I I do think that there could be a little bit of a hangover here and it's like all right let's just get us to you know get us to the playoff and let's see who we play there. So I could see it being – call it underwhelming. I could see it being underwhelming. You know, to Kalen's point about, you know, coming off the Ohio State win, I just – there's something about this team, man, that, you know, I think they've gotten to a point where I've gotten to as a fan where it's like beating Ohio State is really cool. And it's almost become expected as weird as that is to say or hear.
Starting point is 00:16:50 But there's bigger goals here, right? Like there are there are bigger goals at hand. Are you Joey Galloway-ing us? No, I'm not. But I just think that this team, I mean, think about all the guys that came back. You know this, Justin, better than anybody. Think about the guys that came back. You know this, Justin, better than anybody. Think about the guys that came back. They came back to beat Ohio State, yes.
Starting point is 00:17:09 But they came back to win a Big Ten championship and to get to the playoff. You can't get to the playoff without winning this game. It's not going to be like last year. You have to go and win. So I just feel like this is a team with a lot of older guys, a lot of guys with a lot of maturity, and I just have a feeling that they're going to come out ready to go. And, man, at some point that dam's going to break for Iowa. They're not going to be able to just go three and out, three and out, three and out. Michigan's going
Starting point is 00:17:30 to lean on them in the run game, and I think you're going to see some maybe early third quarter as we get later into the second half. You're going to start to see some bigger runs pop because I think Michigan's going to be pretty content just running the ball like they did against Penn State, knowing that Deacon Hill's not going to do a damn thing about it. Right. I mean, I guess the way that I am saying it's going to be underwhelming is not that I think it gives us a chance to lose the game, but it could be like legitimately 24 to nothing.
Starting point is 00:18:01 That could be the final score of the game. And it's like, holy shit, this is the most boring game I've ever watched in my life because Michigan ran it 40 times for an average of three yards of play and Iowa went three and out a hundred times in a row, right? Like that's, I wouldn't doubt that that's the way this game shapes up. I do think the dam will break at some point, and I think what I would love to see is to get J.J. going again. I actually don't want to see Michigan run it like they did against Penn State. I want to see them be dynamic, show some stuff, show these college football playoff teams that J.J. is not just down and out completely,
Starting point is 00:18:46 that we're not just a running team, but he can do what we all know that he can do right and so um that's what I'm looking looking for and I would love honestly for them to go back to that 2021 get shot out of a cannon pull out a trick play in the first you know series or something like that get this team rolling and then let's go let's let's get a pick six or something like that like honestly for a momentum standpoint i know even after this game you have a month essentially till you have to play again right but for the momentum i still want them to feel like they're playing really really well in you know at the end of this game and then go into the college football playoff, like, Hey,
Starting point is 00:19:29 we're the best fucking team in the country and nobody else can say anything about it. Yeah. And all that stuff I said could actually go the other way in our benefit. Right. We could come off a huge Ohio state win. We could, you know, come in and now we have Jim Harbaugh back,
Starting point is 00:19:46 and that stuff could all be huge positives for us that just boost our play. And we could come out and same thing, 14-3 at first quarter or whatever. Do we hammer the over on J.J. McCarthy touchdown passes and passing yards with Jim coming back? I feel like that might be a smart financial decision that my advisor would advise me to do. I agree. What's the over-under?
Starting point is 00:20:08 Do we know? I have no idea, but I'm going to hammer the over on all of it. I think it's a 192. Minus 192? I think that JJ passing yards, at last I looked, was 192. 192 seems – I also read somewhere that he's 100%. He said he's 100%. so don't run him we don't
Starting point is 00:20:28 need we don't need to run him uh too much maybe maybe you know here there let him scramble on his own let him scramble but you don't need it no no for sure um but let you know i want to see jj i mean because dude we you know the last few, I feel like everybody's been clouded their judgment by JJ's games. And obviously against Ohio State, we understand that, yes, the stats were not gaudy, but he played a damn near flawless game, making decisions, getting the ball out on time, getting it to the right guys, making unbelievable throws. But we know, we were at the MSU game. We watched him throw for four touchdowns. It should have been five touchdowns in that game. Like, he was on the money.
Starting point is 00:21:08 I mean, I've seen – I think I've been to eight or nine games this year, so I've seen a lot of it in person. The kid's dealing most of this year, right? And then he gets the injury at Penn State, and there's some O-line issues, and people are like, oh, he's not really that great. That dude's a stud. Like, he can throw the damn ball so i want to see him get back to his kind of early to mid-season form where he's just letting
Starting point is 00:21:29 it rip because he was i mean we talked about the msu game he's like what 21 to 27 for 300 yards and four touchdowns and then purdue he goes out and throws for almost 350 yards like you're right just i want to see jj come back out and be the jj we know and just sling the ball because we're going to need that performance that level of performance from number nine to win a national championship he's got to be a difference maker so I want him to get back in rhythm so that's a really great point that you made earlier definitely a question though for you guys so I know that Iowa's defense is very highly ranked how could you think they actually are just looking at their schedule and looking at some of the common opponents between them and us?
Starting point is 00:22:10 Like, I mean, I did that. I looked at that too. Yeah. It's very jarring to see. Let's go through it. Let's go through it.
Starting point is 00:22:18 Cause I mean, just looking at their schedule, like, and from most recent to longs ago, I mean they played nebraska 13 10 um they beat iowa or sorry they beat rutgers 22 nothing um minnesota they lost 12 10 so they're playing some big 10 football for sure well they stole a win from msu as well in a game that uh the spartans should have won, but then they kick it to Cooper Dijon and he houses one. And then they end up, I think they got a turnover off of MSU and Noah Kim. And that was the last game that he started for MSU, I believe.
Starting point is 00:22:55 So, yeah, I mean, they've been in some ballgames when you look at the common opponents. Obviously, that doesn't tell, you know, it doesn't really do much. I think they're probably a little bit below the Penn State level because they've got a really good, I believe, secondary, even without Dajin. But I don't think they have a pass rusher really that scares me. Like Luke Van Ness last year was pretty damn good. Obviously, that Jack Campbell at middle linebacker, those guys are gone. And Dajin's out.
Starting point is 00:23:24 So I don't know what it looks like for Michigan matching up, but I feel like Michigan's going to be able to out-athlete them. And I'd love to see Roman Wilson get a couple deep shots because I think, you know, he's just such an explosive athlete. Like, throw him the ball, man. Like, let him run a go route, and we'll see what happens. Yeah, the deep threat – I mean, the deep threat is honestly still something that we don't have or utilize very often, right? Like, it's not like we have go balls going all the time. Like we see a lot of high powered offenses, which is fine. But you would wish you would, you'd love to have it as well. You know, if we're talking about like things that we would love to have in this offense, That's something that we've never, under Jim Harbaugh,
Starting point is 00:24:07 have never had a true, even when we had a deep threat in Donovan Peoples-Jones, didn't utilize it. So, yeah, I would love to see it. I mean, really just, I know Iowa's defense is very, very good, but by the end of this game, I want to see Michigan's offense clicking on all cylinders. I feel like I wouldn't say limped is the right word for these past three games under Sharone,
Starting point is 00:24:32 but it was more just like it wasn't as efficient and high-powered as it was for the previous nine games of the year. Obviously, they played two much harder defenses, two much better defenses in Penn State and Ohio State than anybody else on their schedule. But even against Maryland, who's not a good defense at all, they were not in sync. They were not feeling like they were that awesome offense that we saw all year.
Starting point is 00:24:58 So I want to see them playing well. Let's talk about the defense, though. I mean, we're all well aware of Iowa's offense. We know what they want. I want to shut out. I think I want to see this defense just say, you
Starting point is 00:25:15 can't do shit on us. Like, absolutely nothing. And I want a couple turnovers. Like, I want this to be a complete curb stomping on our defensive side of the ball. Yeah, I definitely think that there's opportunity for, like, a huge statement win for Michigan, right? And on a big stage, again. And also, there's a little bit of rub it in the face of some former Michigan players in this game, which
Starting point is 00:25:46 might that other team feel kind of nice. Weird. I tweeted it. I'll say it on the podcast is weird behavior like you. You played here. You got it. I think you got a degree here. Like, I understand you didn't like how it went down, but shit happens.
Starting point is 00:25:59 Well, and I'll say like on the positive side, I loved how Mikey Sander still went in and talked about it today, which was like, you know, I loved how Mikey Sanger still went and and talked about it today which was like you know I wish those guys were playing because they deserved I think I can't remember what exactly the uh the quote was but it was something like yeah you know both those guys transferred there and immediately elevated their offense right like they're very talented and he said something like I wish they were playing because, you know, then we'd see them at full strength. Like, he handled it really well.
Starting point is 00:26:29 And I think that most Michigan guys do. What do you think it's like in the locker room, though? You know, it might be one of those things where I think it was Trevor Keegan after the MSU game said, like, yeah, we talked about it. Like, you know, we didn't care about the tunnel. We were past that. Well, no, we actually weren't. Like, we talked about it a lot.
Starting point is 00:26:50 And so I think there's a little bit to that for sure. I think weird behavior is the right thing, you know, right way to describe it. Like, it's not like damning. It's not like crazy talk, you know. But, like, I don't know, man. You got beat out. At the end of the day, that's it, dude.
Starting point is 00:27:10 Like, you know, there may have been some ways that he was treated or how it was handled that could have went, you know, differently or maybe some better. But like, you know, can we sit here on November 29th, 2023, and say Jim Harbaugh made the wrong decision, nobody's saying that, man. Nobody's saying that. You know, like, it is what it is.
Starting point is 00:27:33 Yeah, I mean, I wish that these guys were playing because I wish them nothing but the best. But, you know, and I hate to see Eric Hall. I think Eric Hall has a very bright future in the NFL if he stays healthy. I mean, he's a great tight end. And, you know, speaking of the Michigan defense, though, I mean, I alluded to it earlier, right? There's no Sam Laporta.
Starting point is 00:27:49 He's the guy who had a pretty solid game against Michigan in 21, probably the only guy on that offense that I would have taken on my team. Thankfully, he is on my team now in the Detroit Lions. But Luke Lachey is out. Obviously, All is out, like we mentioned. Cade is out. That offensive line, like two years ago, they had Tyler Lindenbaum, who was a very high draft pick at center,
Starting point is 00:28:09 which typically doesn't happen unless you're pretty damn good. They don't really have an offensive lineman that sticks out to me, although they are playing a little bit better. But then it goes back to the level of competition that you're playing. And, you know, obviously, Nebraska has a really good defense in the Big Ten West, but otherwise, like, you know, and we've seen what Michigan has done to Nebraska, to Minnesota, you know, obviously Nebraska has a really good defense in the Big Ten West, but otherwise, like, you know, and we've seen what Michigan has done to Nebraska, to Minnesota, to Purdue, and those were all, like, low-scoring games that Iowa was in with them.
Starting point is 00:28:31 So you can't take the transitive property, as we always talk about, but I do think it gives you some insight into kind of what level of football to expect from Iowa. And I just don't see a way, unless Michigan just repeatedly shoots themselves in the foot. Like the Simons gift where like he's just stepping on the the rakes and hitting himself in the face unless Michigan does that I don't see how they can do anything it would have to be like a four turnover game right for them to even be in this and still still unless they every one of those is a pick six like I still don't think that uh that this is
Starting point is 00:29:07 uh like I still don't think they have the firepower to keep up because I think like Michigan's can still let's say they get four pick sixes on the game that's 28 points I still don't think their offense scores a point and I I also think that Michigan can score over 28. So, yeah, you know, I agree with you. I mean, what's the spread? Is it like – 23.5. 23.5. That's very high.
Starting point is 00:29:36 But, I mean, that's like, again, I think it's like a 24-0 game. That's right there. You know, my dad sent me something today. He said, and I don't know where he was pulling this from, but he said the over-under for Iowa in the first half is.5. And then the over-under in the second half is also.5. There's no way that's ever happened in the history of college football where a team has been projected by Vegas to score one point.
Starting point is 00:30:10 One point. That's not – is that even – is there a rule? Like, can you – even if you return, like, a two-point conversion, is that one point or is that two? It's two. There's a – A block of field goal? You could score one point, but it has to be on a PAT,
Starting point is 00:30:28 and I think a safety on a PAT is actually one point. Fun fact. I think – but isn't it if you return a blocked PAT, is that one point as well? No, that's two points. Two points too? Yeah. All right. So Iowa, if there's any team in the history of college football
Starting point is 00:30:47 to get a safety on a PAT, it would be Iowa. Or just a safety in general. That's kind of their MO. Yeah. This could be a 24-2 game. I could see that. I mean, I think the most exciting thing about Saturday is going to be the tailgate, right?
Starting point is 00:31:06 A hundred percent. A hundred percent. Those sliders, dog? I would die for those sliders. Absolutely. We got some North Peaks and Penelope Bourbon from the guy TJ come through. He's like, hey, drink this. And I'm just like, all right, dude.
Starting point is 00:31:19 And I'm blasted by kickoff. That happened last year. It was rough last year. It was rough last year. It was like – because usually we don't – like usually we're doing, you know, having a lot of beers. Maybe you mix in a few fireball shots, right? But never am I just doing sipping on bourbon or doing shots of straight bourbon. And boy, did it hit me like a brick last year.
Starting point is 00:31:44 I mean, honestly, dude, though, this past Saturday, we took some fireball shots, and I had some of your dad's salted caramel whiskey. And then in the stadium, every time we scored, Ty's giving me a fireball shooter. And I'm just like, sure, dude, let's do it. So I was pretty lit up by the time I left. From his magic overall pocket.
Starting point is 00:32:03 Just resting against his chest. Just fireball shooters. I feel like they were in his chest hair. Yeah, it's like braided and it's like a little slide in kind of deal. Yes. Oh, shit. Oh, I want to talk about this too. How about the fact that from Sunday morning through like Tuesday morning,
Starting point is 00:32:29 it snowed very heavily in Ann Arbor and we were one day away from having another snow day for that Michigan Ohio state game. And I mean, what would that have been like? What would we have done? I know it was freezing cold, but there was zero precipitation. If that was a snow game, what's that game like? We still score 30 points, and Ohio State scores, like, I don't know, nine. And we do snow angels on the field.
Starting point is 00:33:00 Love that. Oh, my gosh. Dude, the field storm with the snowflakes coming down is unbelievable it's i i wish we had that again i have a framed panoramic photo of that that i need to hang up in my office and it's just glorious did you see beautiful did you guys see they put up the uh i don't know if they're gonna do another panoramic one like they did in 21 but they have up it's like 300, a framed photo of the field afterwards on the M-Den.
Starting point is 00:33:28 I kind of want to buy that just because, like, what other stuff am I in at the M-Den, dog? Like where else would I go see myself at the M-Den? Very true. That's a good point. That's a good point. Yeah, I mean, those are things – I told you, this shit's getting expensive. This whole winning thing is expensive as hell.
Starting point is 00:33:46 Well, and if Michigan wins again, I've got to go – I've gotten the Big Ten Championship pints the last two years. Got to have the whole set. Got to get the hoodie, the hat. I mean, it's – I don't know. Is there going to be another Michigan shirt from Valiant? Michigan again? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:04 I don't know what to do with all these things we need to buy. Closet's full. You know, they also talked for a long time, they talked about how empty our trophy case is. It's getting pretty fucking full right now. Paul Bunyan's in there. We're about to have three Big Ten championship trophies in there. Brown Jug.
Starting point is 00:34:28 Brown Jug's in there. I mean, we might have to – no wonder they had to redo the locker room. They've got to create more space. They've got to find space for the 2018 Big Ten East Co-Division Championship Trophy. You know, can we talk about that? Have you guys ever talked about that? That one's very clearly a
Starting point is 00:34:47 motivational tactic right like you think jim harbaugh's celebrating that as a championship no they're putting that in so they can see hey you guys got your ass kicked work harder that's exactly that's all that was dude like that's crazy i understand that well I felt like it was a little bit on par with like Jimbo's Jimbo Fisher's national champion, like future national. Yeah. 20 X X trophy that they have. I mean,
Starting point is 00:35:14 they technically still did. They did achieve it. They did achieve it. That one was a tough scene without like, there's just, it's so easy to twist it to what, to how everyone did. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:35:25 Yeah, and I get that. But I think that was a motivational thing. But hey. Hey, it worked. Got two of the real ones. Two years later it worked. We got – well, we also got the two Big Ten East Championship trophies, right? True.
Starting point is 00:35:37 So we got those two. So those two in addition to the previous trophies you just mentioned. And hopefully then we get a couple more. Hopefully we get three more this season. I want a Big Ten Championship trophy, and I want a picture. They should frame a picture of Tony Petitti handing it to Jim Harbaugh. I will buy that. I will pay so much money for that.
Starting point is 00:35:59 Dead serious. Oh, my God. I got to talk to Isaiah. I got to tell Isaiah Holt hole to do that and he should sell them on his site oh my god what if he just like jim schwartz's the handshake and like pats him on the back he just falls off the railing i mean what is he gonna is he gonna take the the he's gonna get sick tomorrow i remember we talked about he's gonna to get sick tomorrow. I remember we talked about he's going to get sick tomorrow. I mean, if he shows up, I will give him his due, right?
Starting point is 00:36:30 Like, all right. Will we? Man, I will. Like, it's like, I don't know how much that's worth, but it's like, all right, at least you're not this much of a you-know-what. He's going to send a low-level staffer. Here's our representative from the Big Ten. The vast network of the big 10 offices in chicago
Starting point is 00:36:47 illinois i think i mean i what does uh um i i think that does does jim harbaugh say does is he nice is he like i'm gonna take graceful yeah i I think that he's, he's not going to do anything too stupid. But man, would it be good if he just like had some little short comment that's on a hot mic, like while he does it like a little fuck you like, or something like that. You know, it's like the handshake line, right? It's like the good game, good game, good game. Fuck you. Good game.
Starting point is 00:37:24 Good game. Good game. Like I want him to do that um i don't know man he's gotta do something i want him to just you know because like i feel like jim is like you know i've we talked about this right like jim's a really good writer like he's like he takes interest in that like i need him to just come up with like some sort of pun that's like kind of a deep cut but like i want him to say something about like a catapult or something you know like i want him to like that to be like a team message like you know how like every time he comes to the media like we know this every time he comes to the media and he talks about some sort of analogy that's exactly what he said to the team
Starting point is 00:37:57 in their in their meeting before practice or after practice like i want i want something like very subtle and like just like I want to see like a glimmer in his eye that like, he knows that we know he's talking about it. Like, that's what I want from him on the podium, but I don't know what it would be, but I need something just like from Jim. That would be like, it's the, it's the like field corner, whatever that, that whole thing. Right. Like what was it?
Starting point is 00:38:19 I can't remember what it was. It was incorrect because there were farmers that were like mad about it. Yeah. Wait, wait, wait. i want to share this did you guys see a nebraska wide receiver is not returning to the program because his literally the tweet was uh in parentheses to farm he's leaving he's going back home he's done he's got a code here he's done, and he's going to go farm. Back to the farm. That is awesome. That is awesome. I love it. If I was Nebraska, he deserves an award, a trophy, right?
Starting point is 00:38:53 It's like you only leave this program for two reasons. One is to go to the NFL, and two is to go back and take care of your family farm. The corn stock trophy. Yeah, It's a man of honor. Yeah. Like he deserves like a medal of honor. Like they should like award him that there's gotta be like a grit, like, you know,
Starting point is 00:39:15 gritty award that he deserves that. Oh my God. That's just going to be like James Harrison, just working out on a farm. Dude, that's incredible. And then he like, he like beefs up so much from working on the farm that he comes back to nebraska one more year yeah oh shit that's awesome all right uh well um i'm i'm pumped man mean, going on Twitter these days and just relishing in this, it's so good to be on this side.
Starting point is 00:39:50 It's, it's, we went through so many years of being on the other side and just the, like the mental health that I've had in the boost in, in that over the past, you know, four days or whatever it is now is unbelievable because it would – the alternative is not great. The alternative is not great. And so I'm excited to continue that, to continue this run. These boys deserve it, that's for sure. I'm excited. We're going to be back in indy and we're playing for
