Welcome back to blue by 90. I'm Justin joined by Jack and Kalen as always. And we're not well, I'm just going to be honest. We're we're in a bad spot after an unbelievable weekend of my bachelor party and my 30th birthday on Saturday. And we're it's what a combo like how did that happen i well the options were like i was either gonna go nuts for my 30th birthday and then like also have my bachelor party like either the weekend before or the weekend after and then have my wedding like two weeks later or i was i thought it was a better option just to just to go with one and but yes you're right it was like

when we were like talking to people when we were out and i would i was like yeah it's my birthday too and they're like it's your bachelor party and your birthday yeah it's my 30th it's your 30th birthday party you gotta be fucking kidding me are you alive i'm like i'm gonna i'm gonna blame that on why kaylen and i didn't make it out saturday night we just we just went too hard we were too excited for you you guys were so excited i was i was so proud of how hard you guys wanted to rage when we got to the pool on saturday oh i was ready right away even after going hard on friday night too yeah that was a good day that was a great weekend and you guys you didn't even make it thursday night which we went incredibly hard and i was telling kayaelin, Kaelin and I were talking, I was like, dude, those guys are a different breed. I cannot

hang. I cannot hang. I was talking to my brother about it. Obviously, we recapped the entire... It was a two plus hour ride and we never stopped talking about things that happened because there were so many things that happened.

So many. And then we still got home and still talked about it more. And he was just talking about like things that happened because there were so many things that happened and and then we like still got home and still talked about it more and he was just like here's the thing like there was never really a moment where we stopped like people dropped off at times because like they like people just like passed out or like hit a wall and couldn't do it anymore but we never were like what or started puking you know or started puking i i'm not gonna name names but you know some people couldn't be me on this podcast oh my god it was it was unbelievable how long did you guys have to wait in line to get in the ferry? Like an hour.

Fuck. It was the worst thing ever because I had the worst hangover of my life. Then it was like, all I want to do is get off this island and we had to just sit there. I'm actually surprised. All I want to do is get off this island and we had to just sit there. Yeah. And there was a lineup. There was a lot of people.

We just like wrapped around that house or whatever, right? There were probably people there that didn't make it off the island on Sunday and just stayed till Monday. I think one of the funniest things is Vito went to go get his stuff from your guys' truck and he didn't make the ferry with the rest of us. We just all like walking down the ramp as the ferry's taking off.

We're like, oh, I guess we'll get the next one. Oh, my God. I didn't know that happened. That's amazing. That is incredible. That is incredible. I just want to say, like, Put-In-Bay is an alternate universe. You get on the island there's zero rules

people forget that they're like human beings and it's just like i it's unbelievable i mean it's accurate i was i was telling somebody about it today, and I was like, man, if I was in my early 20s and went there, I would love it. And late 20s, I mean, I loved it, but I'm dying and I never want to go back. No. Literally, everybody on our way out was like, we can never come back. No. Oh, my God. I can't imagine going there in my early 20s like fresh out of college or during

college like if we went there we would have died like legitimately like actual death probably alcohol poisoning drowning the pool you know any number of exciting things but just the ferry ride back like you just looked around and everybody's face was just like get me off of this island oh all my friends going into it that have been there were like that ferry ride back is a way worse hangover than like vegas anything like it it's worse than anyone out there well it's because like you're you're in the water so there's like a little bit of motion and like it's just the slightest hint of rocking and you're like oh god oh god so bad so bad um the best way to so anthony bolino joined us on friday and he was the star of the show at the pool and um just and just an incredible human being i can't wait for him to like he's hint and he's going to be a part

of some more stuff here coming up soon with us and he also has done our our new intro he has done our newest episode so you heard him you heard his voice already today that's nice he described put bay so perfectly he said it's a mix between vegas and a county fair thousand percent most accurate thing you've ever seen like i've ever like yes yes it's just like trashy vegas to the max unbelievable what an accurate description i can't get over that you wanna you wanna know my god well i was trying to think it's like is there is a is there a better description of that? Trashy Vegas mixed with the county fair. I mean, you could say...

That pretty much sums it up. I mean, that's it. Yeah. That's it. It's a literal Vegas in a trailer park. Then maybe that's more accurate. Yeah. Okay.

I like that a lot. I like that. You want to know what I know? The slightly better pools. Was the, like, one of the funny in. In the trailer park, not Vegas. There were so many funny ones. Were you saying something?

I can't deal with that right now. I usually, I can't deal with it normally, but right now, my tolerance for you is at an all-time low. Oh, my God. So one of the funniest moments of the weekend was when we went to the pool all day saturday first of all our our tab was 2300 dollars we were worried about spending a thousand dollars it was a thousand dollar minimum for the cabana and we were like basically racing to spend that much money we we hit the minimum of a thousand by two o'clock oh it was the best part is you

showed up and there was like a special and it was like spend two thousand and you get all this like a ton of stuff and instead we're just like nah that's way too much yeah yeah we're like no way we're gonna do that and we ended up spending more than that anyway and uh also we spent eight hundred dollars in white claws did you know that i did not eight hundred dollars in white that's the thing i was drinking the whole time well no i guess i sprinkled in a couple bush lights and we had some shots were a lot too and then some shots um i'm pretty sure truly just dropped us oh 100 i'd be disappointed if they didn't they didn't have um but uh kayla and i were talking about i was like dude i think the reason i was so fucked up it's like i don't remember a time

on saturday where i didn't have a drink in my hand no no it was just constant. So then we get back from the pool, like, barely. They had to literally kick us out of there. I don't remember getting back. I don't really. I just remember the guy coming over six times. He's like, you guys need to leave. Like, I've been here a hundred times to tell you to go, and you're just not leaving.

And then we get back to the cabin and you guys pass out, may or may not have been yakking your brains out. And the rest of the crew, you guys pass out and sleep for 12 hours straight at that point. And from like seven o'clock literally like seven o'clock till like 2 30 i'd say or something like that yeah and we the rest of the crew went out to the club and like partied for the rest of the night then we get back from the club and we're like turn the music back on a post game which was a shocking in itself caitlin gets up still with his bathing suit on still still with

his phone in his little waterproof case around his neck looked exactly the same as he did when he walked in the pool at 12 o'clock it's 3 a.m at this point when he wakes up and he comes out and he goes so you guys ready to go out he thought he only slept for like two hours and we were pre-gaming to go out he had actually slept for eight hours that's perfect three in the morning dude when i was yakking in that bathroom too i was like i was like okay i can puke and rally like i i was ready i was like okay i can like i sat there on the couch for a little bit i was like okay i can do this and i was like i went to go get up and i was like i can't i can't do this i can't do this there's no chance like i was so in my eyes i

couldn't even keep them open and then like you said kill and i slept for like eight hours you guys are back like post gaming and i was i opened up a white claw and i said kill and i slept for like eight hours you guys are back like post gaming and i was i opened up a white claw and i smelled it and i just put it back i was like i can't drink this right now i will yack and like immediately but it was great to be so you guys tell stories when you're wasted it was awesome with the greatest description ever just like i just heard somebody just like totally emptying their entire body sound like you're being attacked i look in there and it's jack that's how i act dude i go all out can't hold anything back it's like a sneeze you can't just like hold it back you know that's how

your brain explodes you gotta let it out gotta let it out listen to your body i also want to shout out to uh everybody on twitter who replied to our picture and just sbf50 i can't wait to see how much we're about to get roasted this is incredible that was great literally sam sent me the picture and i was like we are 10 times whiter than i thought we were what i was like i thought i had a good base i've been like out in the sun no zero super white super bad that's 50 though i fucking loved it i lost it all the melanins in my hair or something i don't know i was gonna say even you were getting roasted after i saw that i i went up to kayla i was like you were getting roasted. After I saw that, I went up to Kayla. I was like, you're getting roasted for being super pale,

and you're not even white. You're literally black. Got to throw them off. Got to throw them off. Nobody knew. I mean, that's like the only time I've ever had fun in Ohio, though, I think, just about. Yeah. That's like the only time I've ever had fun in Ohio, though, I think. Just about.

Yeah. That's really the only good thing about Ohio, but ultimately in the end it's still kind of a bad thing. Ohio is just. It makes sense that the County Fair Vegas is in Ohio. It does. Yes. It really does. That's very true.

On brand. About as on brand as it gets. Ultimately, at the end of the day, the island stays undefeated. That's what I learned. That island has never lost. Has never lost. You just can't compete. Tore us up.

The island is Alabamaabama football dynasty and we are chattanooga western that's gotta be a school right that's oh for sure that's the fcs school they play right before they play auburn every year i think yeah oh my god i we are still hung over it's was it tuesday what day is it i know i didn't even know what day it was monday it is monday evening right now we're but yeah you're listening to this on tuesday probably but i if you guys notice i've drank a hundred of these, and I'm still dehydrated. Every time I sit down, my legs start cramping up again. I was at work today, and my coworker was just like, why do you keep getting up?

I was like, I can't sit down because I'm cramping so bad. I'm so dehydrated still. Oh, my God. Dude, you should have had some of those liquid IV things that Kalen brought. I'm so dehydrated still. Oh, man. What else is going on in the world? We, like, left here, went to the island, and I was like, I don't know. We left reality. Yeah. We're on magical land. Narnia for adults. Have we talked about Backage leaving? No, adults have we talked about backage leaving

no we haven't talked about backage leaving we haven't talked about yusuf all right so let's start with backage so um i mean ultimately i think it like keeping backage for 10 years is a win like he he's one of the best coaches in the country and it's just really really tough to be a baseball school in the north and like you just it's it's tough to keep elite people there and it's just i don't know i think we got to be more like thankful than anything there. Yeah. I mean, the job that he did at Michigan is, I mean, speak for itself, right? He brought the program back up. He was like, he was like beeline for Michigan baseball. Now we just need Jawan Howard to take over.

All right. There you go. But it does. I mean, I feel like it shows how much those players uh like playing for backage because the amount of people that are transferring out is like insane straight to clemson they were here like i i you know we obviously love michigan and i think all those guys do like love michigan the guys that are transferring, but ultimately ultimately they chose Michigan to play for Eric package because he's that like awesome of a human being.

And like, I saw, I believe Angelique put out a, put out a, an article with a bunch of comments from former players that are just like, they were killing it they're raving about them yes yeah um so the the one thing i'll say too so what i have heard is that um

it's uh michael badar michael bernard he's the padres hitting coach 28 Bernard, he's the Padres hitting coach, 28 years old. He's a leader in the clubhouse to take the job. 28 years old? I don't hate that. Get a young guy in there. Do you know where he's been at before the Padres? I mean, he's a Michigan guy. That's the biggest thing.

Oh, he is? Yeah. What's his name? Michael Bedard. michigan guy that's the biggest oh he is yeah played what's played in michigan michael berdar played at michigan and all and was a was a he was an assistant at michigan for a little bit too before he went to the padres interesting so he's out there then huh what's that he's working out he's got cronenworth out there with the padres too right he's got croninworth out there um which crony is just killing it now he's his dude he's just getting his average up more and more every single day um and they so the other guy um that is i believe

like it's kind of between these two guys. It's the Central coach, Central Michigan. He did a great job with Central last year. Yep. I think they made it to a Super, right? Weren't they in the, like, it was like Florida. It was like four top ten, three top ten teams or something that they got stuck with, something like that. They got screwed.

Yeah. They got screwed yeah um they got screwed but i i i don't hate the like going extreme like with a young guy even though he has no head coaching experience like in the world of college athletics right now like i feel like you have to be very understanding of what a recruit wants to do. And a lot of it is centered around some money and coming in, having a great experience and that type of stuff. And I think this guy – so I talked to somebody in Major League Baseball today, and they were like, this guy is the next big thing.

If Michigan can get him before, like, you give it two years and he's going to be, like, huge, so they need to come in and swoop him before that happens. Well, then I guess what – let's say that does happen. Is that just Michigan setting themselves up for failure? You're going to get a guy who's going to do a quick stop and then be gone? Maybe, maybe. setting themselves up for failure you're gonna guy who's gonna do a quick stop and then be gone uh i maybe maybe but i think also if you like put him in a good position here that they can you know he can try and turn it around quickly um i don't know keep it going i don't know i mean i just think like i don't know i'm all in on the young guys i i'd rather i agree i just think it would

just suck i feel like for michigan if they get him for what four years and then you know he's out um because baggage was there for what eight years he was there for a while 10 10 yeah yeah yeah um yeah i don't know i just i just think's really, really hard to be an old school coach in any sport of college right now. Yeah, it's tough if you don't have like an ultra proven track record, right? When you say that too, like when you said that for whatever reason, I thought of Tony La Russa coaching the Sox right now, White Sox. And I feel like everybody hates him because he's

such an old school guy i i'm still like i still believe that he ruined that your mean mercedes like rookie year because i remembered there i think the socks were up by like 10 and um he swung on a 3-0 pitch and hit a home run and he got chewed out by Tony La Russa for hitting a home run or like swinging 3-0 when they're on it's like I mean I get it like you probably you know it's frowned upon to do that but like to chew him out like that and then going like to the media and chew him out your own player it's not a good look man yeah it's just tough with the portal these days like you have to like keep kids happy at all times. You know, it's like, it's, it just makes it very, very different. It's tough. It's tough for any old school coach to be able to do that.

So, I mean, I don't, I don't think all, I don't think it's fair to say all the kids are like that though. No, I don't think so either, but I just think in general, it's very different from what it was 10 years ago, you know? Yeah. Oh yeah, for sure. Well, stretching between sports here, one thing we never touched on was CJ Carr, right? Oh, yeah.

Oh, yeah. And picking Notre Dame, saying that he wanted to forge his own path. Is that a legit reason? Or do you think Michigan dropped the ball 100%? I mean, I think it could even be like dude this fan base like fucking ran my grandpa out of town you know fucking yeah there was there was some i mean people forget that yeah it that it was a very weird ending and then we're all like oh man we wish we had like car back like immediately right you know um it was a it was a

classic grass is always greener situation but you know what what i was told about um about cj car which this is kind of weird is that michigan like wasn't pushing super hard for cj car and i don't really i don't know if that was because they were like weren't hot on him or if they like didn't think he was ever really coming here in the first place or what um but i don't know i if his reasoning like, I don't want to live in my dad's legacy or grandpa's legacy forever, like, I'd get that for sure. Yeah, I mean, I think that's fair. But to say, like, is that the real reason, who knows? I think it's a good thing to say to the media.

And I will say this, like like i won't be mad about that if michigan gets dante more which they're not he's going to oregon but if they if they get either dante more or the um jayden davis jayden davis kid then i'm like then i'm okay you know but if they miss out on all three of those guys or don't get a, an elite quarterback in this round that I'm going to be like, why are we not hot on CJ car then? Why were we not like trying to land that?

You know, it's, it should have been a layup. And for people who don't remember, Kate McNamara was committed in Notre Dame, decommitted, and then committed to Michigan. True. That's true.

There's always hope. Always hope. Plenty of time. I also think you can always now in the days of the portal, recruiting is still obviously huge, but you can fill gaps. If you miss

out on a big QB, you can still fill some gaps using the portal. So don't like... Even though sometimes I get caught up in the like, oh my God, where the world is ending because we missed out on this recruit. You do? I mean, I'm usually very positive,

but every once in a while. Okay. Yeah. There was like Biz was on there and Ryan Whitney and Biz was like, dude, like I just get sore and I like hurt like for no reason. Like I'll wake up and like, I can't walk. I just can't, my legs don't work. He's like, I was driving the other day and I looked left and then I heard my neck go. He's like, I had to go to, he's like like i'm supposed to go pick up my daughter from school now i gotta go to the emergency room i was like losing my mind that's oh it's so accurate it's so accurate how soon after you got home did you shave the mustache yeah what the hell dude i waited i like it i waited till this morning to be honest i because i was like holding on to it i i must have asked jacklyn 50 times so so we're sure that like i was

If there is guys being dudes, guys being dudes. Um, all right. So Yusuf, our guy, yo, yo, yo, yo. That's all I know is he's got a sweet nickname yo yo yo kayak from lebanon um dude can i tell you

i don't know if i should be like even saying this but aunt has been telling me about him for like a month now being like this is our guy this is our guy he's fucking sweet yeah, like in that, like he, he knew that he was dropped. He knew he was coming for like a month now. So shout out, ain't right. But he, I think this guy's going to come in. He's going to be like six, eight, six, nine, come in, be a forward for us and have a bunch of like, like, I mean, he's going to make an impact right away. I don't know if he's going to be a 30-minute game starter, but he's definitely making an impact.

I got to watch some of his tape because I haven't watched Dick of anything. But everybody seems super hyped about him. Yeah, what's the, you say, 6'8 forward. Is it like Musa kind of a vibe here or what? Yeah. I'd say he's like more Musa than he is Mo Wagner. Like he's not going to be as much of an inside out guy as Mo was. But I think he can like shoot a little bit more than Musa,

but in general, his game is to get to the rim and play above the rim for the most. Interesting. So like, I think he, he's helpful for, he's, he's a great,

like one, two punch for him and Hunter. I think, cause I just don't like a German Brent Petway or something. Yeah. Wow. Throwback to Brent Petway. I just want to see a dunk show.

Terrence Reed, Greg Glenn, Jace. They're all – or not Jace, Jed. I think they're all 6'8 or taller. Yeah, we are so tall. And then you got Doug McDaniel who's four feet tall, but he's going to be a little taller. Doug McDaniel is tiny, but I'm totally fine with it. Yeah.

Jalen Llewellyn, I'm pretty sure it's like yeah he's like he's tall too um yeah like all of a sudden like it felt like we lost everybody and then all of a sudden this roster is like holy shit yeah um it's just gonna it's just wild that it's like turned over so much but um so i could see it being like a struggle bus a little bit in the beginning but then um like once they figure it out they could be really really dangerous i hope it's not a struggle in the beginning i hope they can be hot right away i think that would people will be calling for juan's head if they fucking start slow yeah i think everyone will just be like you know can huge recruiter can't coach right

um the fuck is that noise are you banging on your table i just hit like when i say it was the slightest little like knock on my table yeah it's like sounds like you're blowing wind into the microphone or something i mean that that was i was i like tapped it it's crazy how loud that was. It's just, I think that's's perfect that'd be hilarious to be golden uh thursday when we do that that's so funny uh yeah alex was the goat of the weekend like literally what herding cats imagining i imagine him trying to like get us all to leave or go do anything or listen was like a bunch of preschoolers bringing them in from recess. I think he cleaned the whole house by himself.

He was cooking us breakfast. He was like, all right, here's the itinerary. Here's what we're doing. He was just on top of it. Killed it. Absolutely killed it. He's ridiculous um yeah and i think he said it himself and i like 100 agreed with him he's like i don't even know why i'm doing this for

you of all people like he's like i don't even like you i was like yeah yeah, I agree. Like I stuck. I'm hearing my voice. Like I've only been talking for a half hour and I'm, it's gone again already. Oh my God. I was over under is to get your voice back. I don't know. I need it back. It's like I do podcasting for a living. It's not great.

Yeah, I don't understand how nobody else puked.

A lot of other people puked. What are you talking about? On Saturday? I mean, Friday. I know Friday. I know Zach puked on Friday. At the pool, in between two chairs. At the pool? Yeah.

That's awesome. Not even like in a trash can or in the bathroom. Just in between chairs. It's like on the concrete. He's like, I got to get this out of me. He had no choice. It was coming. It was coming out no matter what.

You got to do what you got to do. Yeah. The only thing I did at the pool oniday was i pooped four times in the bathroom i'm proud of you for getting out of the pool to go poop i know for a fact okay yes i mean i i did get out of the pool to go poop but i just know for a fact that not one person got out of the pool to pee in the entire pool if you're somebody who says I don't pee in pools

you're lying especially if you're drinking especially if you're drinking yeah for sure I agree with that if you do at that pool you deserve a medal of honor.
