Michigan fans welcome to in the big house with your host Tyler Sealy and BB's big house from game day recaps recruiting player evaluations and all the latest buzz around the program. We've got you covered. Now here's Tyler and Brian.
What's going on guys and welcome to another episode of the in the big house podcast brian how you doing tonight i am
doing great rivalry baby let's go yeah that's right it's hate week you know michigan state
on the clock uh before we go into that michigan state game we're going to talk about the visitors
that we have uh for this game there's quite a few um you know, 2024 quarterback, prospect, five-star Jaden Davis out of Providence Day is going to be there.
So, Brian, I'm going to let you get into that to start here.
Yeah, I mean, it's one of the more robust lists that I've seen, a very impressive list.
I think, you know, a lot of fans that follow recruiting closely were wondering why we didn't have a lot of recruits visiting early on in the season. And the staff had kind of said, wait till later in
the year, we're really going to ramp up and have a good presence in our big games. They were loaded
for the Penn State game. Very impressive list there. And this is just amazing. They have
not one, not two, not three, but four very highly rated quarterbacks
coming to the game. Headlined by five-star 2024 quarterback that you just mentioned,
Jaden Davis, who I know the staff are hoping to lock down a commitment this weekend. I think
they feel pretty good about that. You know, for time it seemed like it was Georgia Michigan Clemson has kind of jumped into the mix there but with Georgia
signing their quarterback uh you know Jaden Davis has less options out there and he's long been a
big fan of the staff he's been here countless visits um so I think you know if he's someone
that wants to be a leader in this next cycle and really
start to bring guys in anyone that falls recruiting knows a highly rated quarterback helps speed up
that process and bring in JJ yeah look at JJ um but what I really like uh besides the Jake Davis
visit and where we stand with him is that I think we learned from the Dante Moore situation
that we put a lot of eggs in that basket, and then when he committed to Oregon,
we were left kind of holding the bag there.
Besides Jaden Davis, we have three really highly rated quarterbacks for the 2025 cycle.
Headlined by Michigan's own five-star Bryce Underwood, who many people think could ascend to the number one overall spot
by the time those rankings get revised.
And then two other guys that are highly rated,
Cutter Bowley and Ryan Montgomery, too.
Cutter Bowley's a top 50, top 60 guy, and he's coming in.
Ryan Montgomery, it'd be interesting to see how they handle that.
They're going to have four different quarterbacks,
all highly rated, all probably used on the visits they've been on
to be catered to, you know, and focused on, you know,
when you're trying to beat a rival and please four different quarterbacks.
Planning and logistics for that should be interesting.
Because I'm sure Harbaugh's going to want to spend time with them,
but how do you do it with them and their family without kind of infringing
on others? That'll be kind of fun to watch.
Yeah, no doubt. I mean, Harbaugh seems to, you know,
be more hands-on it seems like from what I've heard down in the program,
it seems like he's becoming more and more hands-on in terms of recruiting.
I feel like the NFL flirtation is over, and I feel like he's really focused in on
getting this program to the next level, as we've always talked about. Just going back to Jaden
Davis real quick, the only thing that really kind of scares me about potentially Jaden Davis is
Clemson. You know, I know they have Cade Klubnick as their quarterback of the future right now and DJ Uyunglele right now.
But, I mean, he's from one state away.
Does he want to stay down there and have some similar academics?
I know not apples to apples comparison between Clemson and Michigan,
but Clemson's academics is still pretty good as well.
So does he want that, but be closer to home? I mean, that's certainly something that you can
kind of think about or he can think about anyways. But I mean, it seems like Michigan
has done everything possible to lock down this recruitment, hopefully this weekend. I don't know
where, I mean, how much longer he's going to wait. You know what I mean? Like, I don't know where i mean how much longer he's gonna wait
you know what i mean like i don't think he's he should wait another year you know anything
close to that he's got to commit at some point so otherwise you got to come off them
yeah i mean it's it's this funny thing you know like if you commit too early and then
decommit you'd rather have a guy commit that's fully committed. It's going to be pretty rock solid there.
Sure, absolutely.
Just to keep going,
I think one of the criticisms that's
been out there
primarily through a loud
speaker, E.J. Holland, who I'm a
fan of. I know opinions vary there, but
he's been critical of Mike Hart
not as a coach, not as a
Michigan. He speaks very highly of him in those regards.
He's an amazing developer of talent.
He's one of the all-time greats.
But then he hasn't really targeted big fish.
You know, Donovan Edwards was involved before he got here.
But they do have coming in 2024 running back Jordan Marshall,
who's a top-ten running back in that cycle out of the state of Ohio.
He's a Cincinnati kid.
I think that's a very winnable recruitment.
They have him coming in.
They have Dabby on grouse coming in.
Another really good kid.
Top 20 running back.
Very, very good.
And then besides the quarterback position,
the amount of highly rated talent they have coming in at wide receiver
is pretty impressive.
They have top 10, 2024, five-star Ryan Wingo, absolute stud.
You know, him and Jaden Davis, that next cycle would just be headliners that would have,
would set things on a trajectory for that class to be, you know, one of the best in a really long time.
They have a few guys that Michigan continues to be in really good shape with,
and that's Jaden Davis' teammates Jordan Shipp and Channing Goodwin.
I'm Mario Stewart.
He's another highly rated wide receiver that they seem to be in a good position with.
So, I mean, they have traction.
Another guy for 2023 to keep your eye on is Jaron Hamilton.
They've been flirting with his recruitment and making him a priority and not making a priority. I feel like, you know, he's a West Coast kid, so
that, you know, you always have to worry about the USC's and Oregon's in the world there, but I feel
like if they make him a really high priority, this is his fourth or fifth visit here coming from the
West Coast, so if they make him a really big priority in press, I wouldn't be surprised to
see them get some traction there. And then a few other, Ryan Mooney
is another kid to keep your eye on. He's a local
kid that has just raced up and is having an
amazing senior season.
And then for
2025, you have
Quinn Morris coming in, which is the younger brother
of Tyler. So some talent there.
Tight, I mean, all
across the offense.
Tight end. You have King Joseph Edwards, four-star guy.
What a name, too.
What a name.
Yeah, he's, you know, if you follow on Twitter,
he knows how to work every fan base.
Every uniform he's in, anything happens with any of their fan base,
he's tweeting pictures of him in that uniform.
So I think he's got every fan base thinking they have the lead there.
Brady Pricehorn is the number three tight end in the country,
and he's coming in too.
And then Damari Witten and Gavin Grover coming in.
There's a lot of tight end talent coming in for next cycle.
So you see the tight end room, how deep it is.
I think anyone that comes in will see how tight that group is,
how much fun they have uh that that should be magnetic and so you know they're positioned with any one of
those guys to be a nice get uh it'd be really nice to uh lock down brady because i think he's the bet
even though uh king joseph you're right that guy isn't it is a great neighbors ranks slightly higher
i think brady's got more upside and fits more of what Michigan has traditionally done there.
And then probably the most pressing, like immediate things that they have to look at is offensive line.
And they have some very, very highly rated, really the top uncommitted offensive linemen in the country all coming this weekend.
Four-star offensive tackle D.J. Chester, four-star offensive tackle dj chester four-star offensive tackle spencer
fano and four-star offensive tackle kale blomu excuse me all coming in we need at least one of
those guys right we need some more definitely uh and then the defensive side five-star five-star
defensive lineman justin scott five-star db Charles Lester, and a bunch of other guys coming in.
And, you know, you talk about the offensive line,
and, you know, that's where this whole Jim Harbaugh offense starts and ends.
If you don't have a good offensive line, forget about it.
You can't run the football, which means you can't do the play action
and get the ball pushed downfield.
So it's critical.
It's critical to have good offensive linemen.
I'm not telling people that don't already know this that,
but, you know, just it's something to keep in mind for sure.
Definitely.
Definitely, and I think, you know, as this cycle goes on,
I mean, there's so much to be excited about this weekend,
and hopefully we get some buzz and start seeing some of those crystal balls
that we all like in the days following this game.
But, you know, the other thing to keep your eye on is around the country, besides this recruiting cycle, where we stand with high school prospects.
You look at what's going on in Texas A&M.
Auburn had three of their top guys from this most recent freshman class hop into the portal.
Wisconsin's had three or four guys drop in the portal. That always raises your eyebrows a little bit simply because Midwest guys,
it's easier to convince a Midwest kid to come to Michigan
versus a Southeast kid to fly past all those SEC schools to come to Michigan.
So the transfer portal is going to just continue to get crazy.
And if you look around the country, some of the best teams are led by portal players.
And if you look at our own team at center at defensive end, I mean, you know.
Look at Hendon Hooker.
Hendon Hooker, right.
47-year-old Hendon Hooker.
Yeah, there's a lot to be excited about.
Hopefully there'll be a lot more buzz, you know.
I agree.
38 players are going to be in the big house for the game.
More will be in the next couple days.
And that's insane. I mean, what do you think it's going to be when it's house for the game. More will be out in the next couple days. And that's insane.
I mean, what do you think it's going to be when it's all said and done, 50?
Well, it's hard to say because some of these guys that we have coming
won't be able to make the trip.
Something will happen at home.
Some of these guys won't show up.
Some of these guys will get pressure from other schools
or being chased by to not come.
So the list is always fluid.
It's always hard to put out a visitor's list because they're high school kids
with a lot of moving parts, a lot of logistics and that sort of thing.
So it would be tough to tell.
I will say this, and I won't say any more,
but there could be a couple of very, very highly rated name guys
that anyone that follows Michigan recruiting knows that have been rumored
and teased about coming to campus.
I won't say any more than that because I don't want to set expectations.
But on some pretty good intel, there could be some big names coming
that when that buzz comes out will probably get people excited.
So, we'll tease her.
I wonder.
I wonder.
There's a Thursday night football game tonight.
That guy, you know. we'll leave it right there.
You guys can take a look at who plays Thursday night football
and you can do the math and all that stuff.
Speaking of which, Michigan has a big battle on Saturday,
as we've kind of talked about.
We've kind of teased it.
Now we're going to go into it.
Michigan takes on, on you know arch rival
in state here in the mittens rival um michigan state uh they come in to this game and obviously
that game can be found at 7 30 on abc it is a night game a lot of people are dreading that
i know the athletic department isn't too happy about it to which i say get over it yeah get over it down in front yeah so whatever it is
what it is michigan comes in as a 22 and a half point favorite in this game
we know where this stands i've heard this all up and down twitter we're gonna blow them out
this is gonna be a blowout this is this this is that and you know you don't have to go too far back to remember
what that's like the 2020 game i know it was covid and it was in the an empty big house
but they got their asses kicked by rocky lombardi last year this isn't even we don't even have to go
that far back last year yes i I know there was some ridiculous calls
and officiating and everything else,
but Michigan had a lead in the game, squandered it,
and Michigan State took them down.
Michigan deserves credit.
They were able to bounce back and get all the way to the college football playoff
and beat Ohio State and all that stuff.
But you can't have that this year.
No.
That is not an option this year. you can't have that this year. No. That is not an option this year.
You can't lose to this team.
Michigan State comes in at 3-4.
Their most recent win was against Wisconsin, a 34-28 double overtime victory.
But before that, they had lost four straight.
They lost to Ohio State, Maryland, Minnesota, and Washington.
So MSU is not very good, right?
Brian, why don't we take this team lightly?
I think just history, right?
If you follow it for any period of time,
they've had a lot of success against us for whatever reason.
End of the last 15 games have been won by Michigan State.
One reason, you know, def, you want to put on it.
They seem to get up for this game more than Michigan has
and have had a great deal of success.
And so, you know, do I feel like Michigan,
this is one of the better Michigan teams we've had in the last,
you know, you refer to 15 years,
this is one of the better Michigan teams in the last 15 years?
I certainly think it is.
I mean, I think from a holistic standpoint top to bottom offense defense special teams coaching player chemistry
all that stuff I think this is arguably the best team they've had and I think I
don't think this is the worst Michigan State team because you got the three and
nine year you had a couple other years where they were down. But I feel like, man, this game sets up for, you know,
a big spread of domination coming off of two years of losing a lot of guys
on those teams, a lot of the players that have played big roles
haven't won this game.
You got to hear about it.
We all heard about the bus ride back from East Lansing,
Ann Arbor, and how miserable the team was.
I think that will prevent, hopefully,
that will prevent from the overconfidence of seeing the big line,
seeing the fourth ranked number next to your team,
seeing Michigan State sitting at three and four.
Hopefully that bus ride last year will offset those things.
Yeah, hopefully.
And the other thing too,
you got to keep in mind is, is Michigan State, if I'm Michigan State and I'm the defensive coordinator in Michigan State, or I'm Mel Tucker, you know, instructing the defense,
I am taking guys out of the first row. I'm doing everything I can to stop the run against Michigan.
I'm making J.J. McCarthy beat me if I'm Michigan State.
And if they can do that, then Michigan State has a chance to win the game.
That's the only – I shouldn't even say win the game
because I really do think these two teams are very lopsided.
I do think that Michigan is a better football team on paper.
But guess what?
They don't play the games on paper.
And the other thing is, too, I mean, the history.
We've talked about the history at
nauseam. Just don't take them lightly. You got to go out there and you got to finish every play.
You can't turn the ball over. This very much so has to be like the Iowa game or more so like the
Penn State game where you just come out, you run the ball, and if you have success, then you stick with it. There's no reason why you wouldn't, right?
So I think, yeah, I mean, and historically in this game,
the team that wins the rushing battle wins the game more times than not.
I think it's very tempting, very, very, very tempting
to want to see what every team has done.
And Michigan State's passing defense leaves a lot to be desired and uh but stick with what works you know what I mean and and pick your spots to take
those shots but uh I I still believe that uh the complimentary football that Michigan's been playing
dominating the time of possession pounding Blake Corum you know Michigan fans are going to win
this game by a million.
But I think you just – if anyone saw the Junior Colson interview this week
with John Jansen, sorry, is, you know, him saying he wants to take the soul
out of their eyes.
I think, you know, just wearing them down.
And then there'll be shots to take.
Because to your point, I agree with you.
I think that they're going to have to bring a lot of attention to that line of scrimmage and then
you know jj's competent those receivers are competent i you know i hope we take some big
shots you know and less opportunities let's face it michigan state's got some incredibly talented
wide receivers yeah cornish thrown he can throw for a ton of yards he can be when he has time
when he can set his feet he's been very accurate and hit a lot of big for a ton of yards. When he has time, when he can set his feet, he's been very accurate
and hit a lot of big plays, a lot of big plays against us.
You know, I think those are going to happen.
We've seen big plays happen to Michigan's defensive backs.
Those are going to happen.
It's just if you minimize those and you dominate on the offensive side
of the ball, they won't be enough.
Three or four big shots won't be enough to beat us.
Yeah, the thing that I keep an eye on, too,
in switching gears to the Michigan defense is if they can stop the run,
they can win the game.
Because Peyton Thorne, if he's one-dimensional
and has to just sit there and throw 40, 50 times a game,
he's going to throw some picks.
The pass rush is going to get home once or twice,
and that's all it's going to take.
So Michigan, obviously the better team on paper. Michigan, probably the better talented team,
more talented team, and they should win the game. But just because you should win the game doesn't
mean you do win the game. You have to go out there and play it. And like I said, specialty
teams is going to be important as well. You know know the special teams have been good all year long
um you know they missed i think moody missed one field goal in the what was that the maryland game
yeah yeah maryland maryland or indiana no it was maryland yeah because because i remember you
texting me you're like we're on upset alert i'm like here we go here we go um but you know the other thing that that's kind of
that could throw a wrench into this whole thing the weather's supposed to be good so that's a
good thing we don't want we don't have that monsoon yeah but um the other thing to keep an
eye on both of these teams are coming off a bye week so you know there's always rust when it comes to coming off a bye week Michigan seems like a well-oiled machine but just because you seem like
a well-oiled machine again doesn't mean that you're going to be you know once you you put the
car in the garage for a week so to speak you know so that's that's the other thing you got to really
keep an eye on um other than that i mean really michigan
just they got to get off to a good start this is one of those games where you can't have a situation
where jj gets the ball tipped at the line and it gets picked off for six and then you know you go
three and out and then peyton thorne connects with jayden reed down the sidelines for a 50 yard
touchdown all of a sudden you're down 14 nothing0. And, you know, Michigan State believes.
You can't let the belief come into play here.
You've got to really kind of go out there, take the lead,
and play with the lead as they're going to have all year long.
I agree.
I totally agree.
I think, you know, last year, Thorne didn't play that well.
He had 19 for 30, 196 yards, zero touchdowns, two interceptions, right?
It was Kenneth Walker's show.
That guy was amazing.
It was one of the better performances you can ever remember anyone having
against Michigan.
It was impressive.
Yeah, we're not going to be the guy.
That guy's playing at the NFL right now, so he's the real deal.
They don't have that guy.
We're not going to be the guys that blame the officials for everything,
but there was certainly that touchdown that was taken away off the board.
There was a couple other situations with some questionable calls.
But, again, you have to win the game.
So you can't go out there on Saturday and blame the officials,
oh, we lost because of the officials.
We don't want to hear that.
The fans don't want to hear that. And we certainly, as people that don't cover the team,
but we talk about the team on a weekly basis, we don't want to hear that either. And to their
credit, last year, you didn't hear that come out of their mouth. We just said, nope, everything's
still in front of us. And they went out there and they did what they had to do and then beat Ohio State on in late November so 100 you know so what's interesting is uh as someone's been a part of
this rivalry for a lot of years and you know tons of friends and family I have you know have a
nephew at Michigan State right now um a lot of friends family on both sides of the aisle this
week has been really, really quiet.
I mean, you know, they being the Michigan State fans,
they know the season they have.
They know the season that Michigan's having.
You know, they're optimistic.
There's a few people out there making noise.
But it's been weird, particularly because it was coming off of bi-weeks. We've had two weeks of potential trash talk
and how little there has been out there.
I mean, I can speak for, you know, the Twitterverse
and just my own personal friends and family.
It's quiet.
That makes me a little nervous, really.
See, it does make me a little nervous, too.
And, you know, there's not a lot of people
that are picking Michigan State in this game.
And, you know, I really just hope on game day
that all four guys don't pick Michigan State.
I think that would be rough.
I think we're getting Sean McDonough and Todd Blackledge
calling this game on ABC, not Herbie and Fowler,
which that's kind of sad if this is the last ESPN game that we get,
you know, unless we get to the playoff
because this is the last year of ESPN,
which I know a lot of people get into it.
They don't like ESPN.
It's SEC bias.
But I think Herbie and Fowler, you know it's a big game
when those guys are calling it.
And, you know, for that reason, I'll be, like, a little sad
that, you know, they're not the guys calling it.
You know, it's interesting you say that.
I think Herbie's the best in the business,
except when he calls Michigan or Ohio State games.
I love him.
I appreciate everything he does.
I think he calls a great game.
I think he's fair.
But listening to him call an Ohio State game is –
I mean, every –
he just goes on about every player and their backstory
and how five-star and potential and just annoying.
Hard to put the biased away.
It really is. It's so hard. And then when he calls a michigan game even though he does a good job and like i said i'm a big fan i just prefer
not to hear him call a michigan or austin game and so i hear it i like i like gus and joel i think
they're fair um there was a while i didn't like joel or sorry i didn't like Gus, and I saw a video on YouTube.
I don't know if I told you about it, but before his first Michigan-Ohio State game,
he went to the big house, and he's there with Pep Hamilton and Jim Harbaugh,
and he's shaking hands, taking his hat off.
What's up, coach? How you doing? What's up, Pep? What's going on, baby?
And all this other stuff, like you know he's just like
oh anthony carter was my favorite michigan wolverine ever and you know uh you know i was a
michigan fan long before i was a broadcaster saying how he met beau and all this other stuff so
i have a big time respect for gus johnson and you know just as someone that does this, I can only imagine how hard that is to do what he does.
So I can certainly not relate directly, but kind of understand
where he's coming from.
Saturday night, Ann Arbor, 1030-ish.
What's the score going to be?
What's your prediction?
Yeah, I think it's closer than the 22.
And typically when it's a close game, Michigan
State wins. But I think this is more than a 10-point game. I think it's like a, I'm going to
say a 38-14 Michigan win. 38-10 Michigan win. Okay. I guess they do cover. I guess they do cover.
We're not that far off. You started saying you think it was closer than I thought.
So Michigan's a 22.5-point favorite.
It's the fifth time in the past 35 years they've been at least a three-touchdown favorite.
In each of the past four games, Michigan State has covered the spread.
And then you already talked about 2020 when they won 27-24 as a 22-pointer.
So covering that 22.5- point spread seems like a lot. And so, and history
says that they won't cover, but as Lee Corso says, not so fast, my friend. I think Michigan
was 41.17 for all the reasons we talked about. I think, you know, and you know, I was the one
that was scared to death of Penn State, scared to death in some of the other games, and have picked against Michigan to cover the spread
a lot of games this year, but I just feel like all year hearing the tuck coming, and
the blemish on their schedule, and you know, the Paul Bunyan trophy, I just feel like.
Well, and you know, it started early on, and right right before camp they did that our year
or sorry our state um you know the campaign that they had michigan and um you know spartan fans
were like how is it your state if you beat if we beat you guys last year and all this other shit so
i think michigan's gonna go out there i think they're gonna it might be a little bit of a slog
at the beginning but they'll they'll pull away as the game goes on. I really do believe that again, if it's a
close game lookout, cause Michigan state typically wins the closer games. Uh, if it's a blowout,
it's usually a Michigan win. So, um, yeah, that's, that's pretty much what I have in terms of this
Michigan, Michigan state game. Do you have anything else on, on that in particular? Do you
have a favorite memory in the series?
I have so many good memories.
I mean, you know, one of the more famous ones being when Charles Woodson
made the interception on the sideline.
I went to that game with my good friend, Monty Collins, last minute,
and we sat amongst a bunch of Michigan State fans, and, you know,
we literally decided to go morning of,
and we were on the sideline when he made that pick.
It was awesome.
Awesome game.
Awesome season.
That's one of the best pictures outside the Charles Woodson
with the rose in his mouth and the Desmond Howard, you know,
striking a Heisman pose.
That's one of the best pictures ever.
If you can get a sweet picture of that signed by Woodson, like that's,
that's like when I have my man cave, that's what I want to have in my man cave.
Even though I wasn't – I mean, that was the 98 game, right?
97.
97 game, yeah.
So that was the national championship.
I mean, I was two years old, so obviously I didn't watch that game.
But I can go back and appreciate history and all that stuff.
Just like the picture,
you know, the jersey you have behind you. I watched Steve Eisenman, but I don't remember the young Steve Eisenman like you probably do. So in terms of my favorite memories of Michigan,
Michigan State, I have a good one and then I have a bad one that will just never go away,
no matter what happens. We'll start with the good one. I mean, the triple overtime game against Michigan State in 2004.
I've told you guys before, I've always been a Michigan fan.
My dad's a Michigan fan.
But, like, it didn't really kind of come all together until, like, 03, 04.
And this is the first game that I really remember.
And then, like, you know, closer to that. I remember the 2019 game because
it was Mark D'Antonio's last year. You know, all the Michigan State fans talking so much shit,
saying that they're going to win. And Michigan just went out there and beat their ass. And that
was fantastic. So that's, that's another favorite memory of mine. And then, you know, you don't talk
about this game unless you mention trouble at the snap
i know exactly where i was watching that game i had a girlfriend at the time and we were doing
something maybe out to eat or apple picking or something and i came back i had the game recorded
and i fast forwarded it just a little bit and i'm like oh we're gonna win we're gonna win
and then that happens i'm just like you have got to be fucking kidding me. So, you know, not a good memory, but certainly something that I'll always remember just as long
as, you know, Michigan, Michigan State are rivals. Yeah. I think the top four teams all play
rivals. Georgia plays at the world's biggest cocktail party against Florida. They're also
a three touchdown favorite, but you know, just like the Michigan, Michigan state game
rivalries matter. Ohio state travels to the whiteout at Penn state. Is it going to be a
whiteout official? I don't think so, but they had to travel to Penn state. We've already seen that
story. I don't think Penn state's very good, but again, in their stadium.
Tennessee plays Kentucky, and Tennessee's been rolling,
but Kentucky stylistically, matchup-wise, could create some problems for them.
You look at that past defense, there's some NFL draft experts
that think Will Levis is the number one quarterback prospect.
He's got to be looking at his chops against that secondary.
A night game at Rocky Top, too.
They're wearing those black uniforms.
The rumor is they're going to checker Neyland,
but not with the orange and white, with orange and black on Halloween.
How about that?
That'll be cool.
I like that.
Yeah, me too.
Go ahead.
Sorry.
Yeah.
So, I mean, I think those are all obviously the top four teams,
Alabama, Clemson are both off.
But all four of those teams are fairly good-sized favorites.
But the way college football season has gone,
hopefully it's not our boys in Harvard.
But one of those four teams could lose this weekend.
Yeah, I think Oklahoma State, Kansas State is another interesting game.
Notre Dame, Syracuse would have been a little bit more interesting.
Actually, my roommate here, he's an LSU fan. Kansas State's another interesting game. Notre Dame-Syracuse would have been a little bit more interesting.
Actually, my roommate here, he's an LSU fan.
Him and one of our other buddies, they're going up to Syracuse to watch that game because he's a giant Notre Dame fan.
So that's another interesting one.
Oregon goes to Cal.
Cal's not very good this year.
Oregon seems to be rolling.
But historically, Cal's one of those teams that always plays Oregon tough,
always gives them fits.
It's at Cal.
That's a game that, you know, I think Oregon's favored by 17
or something like that.
It's one of those games where historically Cal's given them problems.
So I'm interested to see that one.
You know, it's another interesting one outside of the top 10.
It's actually tonight, apparently, on FS1.
It's Utah against Washington State I mean Washington
State upset Wisconsin I know Wisconsin hasn't been that great of a team this year but they're
at home that should be an interesting game you know get your Thursday night football fix after
the NFL Thursday night football if that's what you choose to watch but yeah there's there one
of the four teams could go down it's certainly But yeah, one of the four teams could go down.
It's certainly a possibility that one of the four teams could go down.
I think Michigan has probably the best chance of not going down.
But again, we've talked about that doesn't mean anything.
So we'll see where it goes.
Other than that, I mean, do we have anything else?
Is there anything else we got to go into here?
No, just the next two days is going to take forever to get to this kickoff.
Yeah, so I just want to get your final thoughts,
and we'll take us out of here.
My final thought is obviously I gave my score prediction.
It goes without saying I want to see them do well,
but I'd really like to see them establish a run,
but I'd like to see some, you know, we
talked about some of our favorite moments. I'd love to see JJ give us some memorable moments,
you know, to any one of the receivers, you know, just some, some moment where he
takes the top off, does something special. Um, and it makes a difference in the game,
you know, that, that really makes a big impact on the game. So, uh, I want to win. I'll take
a one point win at the last minute on a fluke, whatever. That's not what I prefer, but I'll just take a win, move on and finish the
season strong. But yeah. Yeah, this is one of those games, man. And my final thoughts here,
this is one of those games where it's a rivalry game. You kind of throw the records out with the
rivalry games and you just kind of see what happens. like i said i kind of agree with you just get the win and get the hell out of there um i know it's it's more of a term said when
you're on the going on the road somewhere but in a rivalry game like this where a team has won 10 of
the last 15 beatings i think it's certainly something where you just get the win and get
the hell out so that that should be interesting I think the weather is supposed to be relatively nice in Michigan, so we won't have to deal with
any monsoon or anything like that. So hopefully, knock on wood, we don't have to deal with any of
that. But those are my final thoughts. Go blue. And you guys can follow me on Twitter at Sealdog91.
