Welcome to Blue by 90. We are three dudes who talk maize and blue. This is your Michigan
football podcast and we just watched week four, Michigan play Wisconsin.
Oh gosh, that was disheartening to watch.
Some of the most disgusting football I have seen in years.
We suck.
I mean, this was like on the same level of the Ohio State loss last year.
That was bad.
That was really bad to watch.
Oh, man.
We just had a laugh this year.
How bad we were.
Oh, it's disgusting.
It was terrible.
What did we start with first, the offense or the defense?
I don't even know.
Actually, we start with the fact that we were down 28-0 at the half.
Yeah.
That is terrible.
That's the worst score at the half for Jim Harbaugh ever.
I'm not going to lie.
I was excited when Ben Mason came in, but then he carried the ball,
and they fumbled the ball.
That's true.
I was like, Ben Mason on offense.
Oh, fuck.
Yeah.
No.
No, I mean, one thing I want to touch on was it seemed like we were not prepared.
I mean, we had two weeks.
We had the bye week and then the week leading up to the game.
What was going on there?
Nothing?
I mean, like.
Well, yeah, I think the coaching was obviously didn't do their job.
I mean, this all comes down to coaching for me.
Yeah.
I know there's bad play.
I mean, but, like, i feel like some of the like
just the execution the play calls like not getting the ball to the people who really should be
getting the ball like not taking somebody out who's obviously not playing up to their potential
it's just overall just you know even last week against army just like. What are you doing on fourth and two? This is just a bad overall game plan.
Yeah, I think they were bad on so many fronts in this game.
The offense played poorly.
The defense played subpar.
The coaching, in terms of play calling, not good.
The gaps in the D-line, every time they rush the ball,
the whole Wisconsin's whole offense averaged 6.3 yards a carry.
Jonathan Taylor averaged 8.8.
B. Shaw, whoever that is, averaged 17 yards.
Groshek averaged 10.
It's just, there was always a hole for them to go through.
Only three down linemen. The linebacker was getting blocked.
Yeah, I think it's going to be a really rough year.
And no penetration.
Yeah, the defensive line is, honestly, it's pretty garbage right now.
And the offensive line is also garbage.
And those two are the main core to your team,
being able to move the football or stop the offense from moving.
So I'm really not looking forward to the rest of the season.
Not at all.
It's going to be a tough year.
Have your predictions changed?
I think they lose five games.
Five, six.
Five, six.
Yeah, every three.
I think every game will be a close game if we're going to win.
And I say we lose all our right forward games.
100%.
I would doubt my mind.
I say we lose to Maryland.
We might not even make a bowl game.
If we keep playing like this, we are not going to make a bowl game.
That's true.
If we play like we just did.
That's just awful.
So let's look through the rest of the schedule.
And I do think Wisconsin's a good team.
Yeah.
Wisconsin's a great team.
But we still look bad.
Credit where credit is due.
Wisconsin came out with a great game plan.
They took advantage of their matchups.
They played very well.
We averaged two yards a carry.
That's terrible.
We barely ran the ball at all, though, too.
Couldn't run the ball.
Our leading rusher was McCaffrey.
Part of our whole thing was that Josh Gattis said we are pro spread.
That means we establish the run first,
and then we get the ball to our playmakers out in space.
So I'm kind of going like, well, how do you establish a run
when you barely run the ball?
You can't throw the ball.
Nobody's going to expect you to throw it.
Right.
You can't do anything. If all you do is throw the ball, Nobody's going to expect you to throw it. You can't do anything.
If all you do is throw the ball, then they're just going to be
expecting passes.
You start off in the hole.
I think something we talked about
when we were watching the game,
you're supposed to set up the pass by establishing
the run, but we can't establish the run.
Why not establish the pass so we can establish the run?
Every time we pass first,
it seems like the offense is actually moving,
and then any time they change from that, it just stops.
It never seems like it's in hurry-up mode, right?
Never.
I mean, like maybe the whole –
No, yeah, the supposed hurry-up is the slowest hurry-up I've ever seen in my life.
And even when we do have good plays or big drives, we have a momentum stopper.
Like, friggin' Ben Mason fumbles the ball on the what?
The 7-yard line? 5-yard line?
Right.
After a huge play from Ronnie Bell.
And it's, we didn't even catch a break.
It's just, and then it's all downhill from there.
Yeah, that's what I wrote down.
When does Michigan air out the football?
Apparently when we're down by 28 and there's 8 minutes left.
Yeah.
And they're actually throwing it to the playmakers.
Nico, Tariq, and those guys.
And suddenly, I was kind of like.
We're going to make some plays.
Hey, we actually don't look the worst.
If we did this all game, we might actually compete.
Yeah. But no, I mean, if you want to look at the whole schedule, I mean, we got Rutgers.
I think we can still win against Rutgers.
We'll be Rutgers.
Yeah.
We got Iowa.
Loss.
I don't even know.
See, I'm looking at these games, right?
We already have one loss, right?
Iowa is a possible loss.
Maryland is a possible loss.
And then you, I mean, if we're going to confirm three losses to our rivals,
right, Michigan State, Ohio State, Notre Dame,
we're going to have four losses there.
And then these other games you're like, maybe we might have six losses.
Right, then you start looking at Penn State.
You start looking at Maryland.
You start looking at Indiana.
Plays us close every year.
This year we might not pull it out.
You even look at Illinois.
I hate to say it, but I go like, you know what?
I just don't have trust in our offense at this point
that it makes me question our ability to win games.
And even when McCaffrey went in, he looked good,
but now we don't know what's happening with him.
Hopefully he's healthy.
I mean, just for his own sake.
But, you know, get excited to put McCaffrey in,
and now we don't have that option.
Here's a question.
Dylan McCaffrey has a concussion.
Who do you think is our starter next week?
Shea.
Shea.
And we saw that after he got hurt, they put Shea in.
They didn't put in Milton, which I think they should put Milton in.
Why not?
They put him in at the end.
Right.
But they waited until it was garbage time, and then they actually put him in.
Yeah.
So I say, I mean, they should have put him in just to let him get some reps
because they know we're not going to get back in this game.
Put him in.
Let him see what he can do.
Yeah.
I think Shea will be our starter next week.
Shea's going to be the starter, but it's absolutely ridiculous.
I mean, Joe Milton hasn't had an opportunity,
and I understand that he's thrown a fair amount of picks when he's been in.
But honestly, Shea has shown you
nothing this year.
Nothing.
Zero.
Like, what has...
Is there any confidence that he's going to win?
No.
Not anymore.
It's just...
I mean, I love Shea.
I think he's a great kid.
You know, obviously,
I think his teammates like him a lot,
but when he comes down to play, that's just play is play, right?
It's not working, man.
He's inaccurate.
He's missing reads.
He's consistently not showing up this season.
He's just not showing up.
In two games, maybe I gave him a break.
Maybe he was hurt.
Now it's the third game after a bye week, and it's just like, what is going on? Yeah.
I'm not buying any of this. I saw this quote from Charles Woodson on Fox just before,
or just after the game ended.
He said, I am sick about Michigan football looks right now.
I'm embarrassed right now.
And I kind of feel the same way.
I'm just like.
It's embarrassing.
I'm 100% embarrassed about how we played.
I also saw.
It was my fault.
I also saw a tweet by, what by this guy, The Wolverine Man.
And he said, our motto
is, just wait.
I'm like, that's kind of true.
True.
Just wait. We'll put in Joe Milton
and we'll take this whole game over.
It's like, not really.
Well, for me, I want
Joe Milton to get in there because...
Just to get in.
I mean, honestly, it's not like he's going to come in and things are going to magically change.
Right.
But now I'm kind of like, look it.
Let's try and look forward to maybe another year.
It's already good.
At least now we know what we have in our backup.
Yeah.
They already messed up his red shirt anyway, so.
No, I mean, let's try to look at, I mean, if there is any positives, let's try to look at some positives, some takeaways from this game that we can look forward to at least.
Right. I think when they put Dylan McCaffrey in, he looks solid.
I was at least hopeful. And he looked like he was a little more poise, a little more poise in the pocket.
He when he ran the ball, before he got
hit, I was kind of like, oh, that was a good decision.
Yeah. Right? So, I mean,
with him in,
he looked like he could execute
the offense.
The pass to Ronnie Bell at the beginning,
I was like, wow, okay,
here we are. We're in it.
That first play,
if you didn't show me any of the rest of the game
and you only showed me that first play, I'd be like,
Michigan looks pretty good.
But it's just that lack of consistency that worries me.
And that's where we need to improve, I think.
I don't know if you guys have any thought on that.
I think that's the same thing we saw with even McCaffrey last year
against Notre Dame.
The offense just looked more comfortable with him in there.
He looked more poised and comfortable.
He knew what he was doing.
He was making good reads.
He was making good decisions.
I need to go tuck and run the ball and try to get a first down.
I need to throw the ball away.
I can get to this receiver.
And, I mean, again, it's a very small sample size.
We haven't seen him in a full game, which I think is still ridiculous.
He should have, I mean, I don't know.
Yeah, I mean, for as much as the coaching staff said
that this was going to be a two-quarterback system, it obviously wasn't.
I'm just so sick of hearing things like this from the coaching staff.
Seriously, don't say things like that if you're not going to do it.
Don't give the kid hope it's just going to tick him off, right?
You can be like, hey, Shade's going to be our starter.
Dylan's going to be the backup.
He might get a couple reps here and there, but there's no two-quarterback system.
Yeah.
Like, it just ticks people off.
And then when you have opportunities to put somebody like Joe Milton in,
and you don't, it's going to tick him off.
What's the point?
Yeah, so.
And now we have one quarterback, and then we have Cade McNamara,
who's a freshman, because Joe Milton decides to transfer.
Like, what's the, I don't, I just don't.
Why would you not play him that entire fourth quarter?
I have no idea.
As soon as McAfee got hurt, why would you not just put him in?
This is – I don't really know what's going on with the coaching.
I'm not there.
Like, is there – are they not developing the talent?
Like, what is going on?
Like, they have – they've had three good, or four good classes, right?
You know, it's better than pretty much everybody else in the Big Ten besides Ohio State, and you can't get it done.
Like, what is with the offensive line?
Have these guys not developed?
They're obviously big boys.
I mean, we've got some, like, on wing is huge, right?
Is it a technique thing?
What are they not teaching them?
It's just absolutely mind-blowing.
It's crazy because you see Ed Werner coming from Ohio State
where they've always had a good offensive line,
and then now it's like, what's going on in Michigan?
Is it something from the head coach?
Is it Harbaugh?
Yeah, what's going on?
What's really going on with this whole mess?
So that brings up a good point.
Do you think Jim Harbaugh is on the hot seat or what?
After this game, I think he's on the hot seat.
You think he's on the hot seat?
Yeah.
I mean, it depends to see.
We'll see how the rest of the season goes.
Yeah.
If it's six wins.
Hot seat.
Like, hot seat.
I mean.
Again, looking at the bigger picture, it's one loss in the season.
But the outlook for the rest of the season from right now looks awful.
Awful.
So, I mean, we could.
I mean.
I mean, think about it. He's going to have the full season to be on the hot seat. Right. It doesn't could, I mean, I think he's going to have
the full season
to be on the hot seat.
He doesn't have to be
a full view
of what's going on,
but if it keeps up like this
and he finishes the season
we think he's going to finish
the way that we think
he's going to finish it,
I mean,
he's got to be on the hot seat.
He can't be 7-5
in your third year,
6-6.
This team could easily
be 1-2 right now.
A missed field goal, think about it, team could easily be one and two right now. Oh, yeah.
A missed field goal.
Think about it.
They could have been two losses in the season.
Yeah.
That, then people would...
Oh, yeah.
If they lost to Army and then this happened...
Oh, yeah.
Oh, my gosh.
I mean, the fan base has already ticked off.
That is...
Right?
So much...
It's only been, what, two hours since the game ended?
Oh, my gosh.
It's bad.
We're all freaking out.
We're coming up with the hot takes here.
What do you think,
Kalen? Do you think he's on the hot seat?
It's hard.
I don't want to say he's on the hot seat now.
I would look at that towards
the end of the season.
If he lost to Ohio
State and let's say our
record was like 6-6,
then I would be like, yeah,
he's out. What if we're 5-6
going into the game and he beats Ohio State?
Then he's fine. He's fine, yeah.
Because the name of the game is beat Ohio State.
Save his season.
Those are the only
positive things. So, a couple
things, right? Two years ago
or three years ago,
Penn State had a similar kind of outlook right
they came to the big house they got absolutely demolished by michigan and then they went on to
win the big 10 they had a pit loss right so honestly that's that's like my that would be
amazing if that happened so wait but they win the big 10 or they won the big 10 yeah they i feel
like they lost the big 10 championship and somebody went to the playoffs.
No, they beat Wisconsin that year.
And then there was that whole issue of whether they should get in or not.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Because they lost to a team like Pitt.
Yeah.
Right?
So that would be my, like, it's not an expectation.
That's not my expectation.
That's like a hope.
You know, like, oh, maybe something like that.
That's me being hope. You know, like, oh, maybe something like that. That's me being optimistic.
But –
Well, even you look at – was it Ohio State the year that they won it all?
They lost to Virginia Tech, what, week two?
Something like that, yeah.
Right?
Maybe something crazy.
Just a positive optimistic outlook.
Yeah, trying to – okay.
So, I mean, even though they lost to Wisconsin,
you're saying that if they win out, they could beat Ohio State,
go to the Big Ten championship game, and get a rematch against Wisconsin.
Yeah, I'm not going to be that guy who's not going to watch the rest of the season and see, like, I'm going to watch every game, see how it plays out.
There is still technically some sort of hope,
but just the way that they're playing
it's so pathetic right now that the expectations for me are so low yeah right so honestly if they
get you know if they lose four games i'll be like okay they made the best out of the season yeah
right it just seems like when they're on offense, the offensive line, one, cannot provide enough time for the QB to make a decision.
But then, even then, on the off chance they do, the QB does not make a good decision.
And QB being Shea in this regard.
So I'm just like, gosh, I don't even know what to fix first.
Do I fix a line?
Do I fix the QB decision making?
Do I fix guys getting open?
So it just seems like there's so many fronts that need to be fixed that it's a little overwhelming.
And so I'm not saying I know how to fix that.
But it's just disheartening.
There's so many things going wrong.
Especially two hours after
the game ends.
Who do they got next week?
Rutgers.
Hopefully a bounce back game.
Hopefully we got a little bounce back game.
I am really happy that they're playing that game.
Maybe it gives them some sort of confidence.
Maybe it pushes them in the right direction.
Maybe they can at least just work on the offense against another,
against an opponent, not like practice stuff.
At least it's some time to kind of experiment and kind of, you know,
gain some confidence like you're saying,
put some of their stuff together in game and gain some confidence enough to go
like, hey, you know what?
This actually works.
We can do this, right?
And if Shea's going to be our guy,
then hopefully he can go like, hey, you know what?
I'm healed up and I can run the ball
and I can pass the ball and all this other stuff.
Dude, I mean, I'll be honest with you.
And I said this during the game.
Dude, Shea looks like he's playing like John O'Korn.
Oh, gosh. Like, I'm ready
to get my corn on the cobs out.
We can all
say now that we're team McCaffrey.
I'm backup.
I'm team, I'm not
I'm not going to say team, but
I'm just, you've got to put McCaffrey in.
And if he has a concussion, give Joe Milton
a shot, because Shea has shown you nothing.
And honestly, give him a shot.
They're playing Rutgers.
Let's see how he does.
If you can't.
For like a half or for the whole game?
For the whole game.
Whole game.
If you can't beat Rutgers with your third string QB who's a good recruit and is, you know.
And it's his third year there or something.
Yeah, his second year there.
Then, honestly, then, I mean, I don't know what to say. What are you recruiting him for? you know and it's his like third year there or something yeah his second year there then honestly
then I mean
I don't know what to say
what are you recruiting him for
what are you
yeah why is he here
let him make
let him show you something
right
that's the whole thing
if the person in front of you
is not doing their job
you have to
give it to somebody else
and let them
see what they can do
if they can't do it
then maybe you
put Shea back in
but
I mean he's shown you everything.
He just can't.
It's not working, man.
I don't know what it is.
I like the guy a lot.
It's just not working.
It's not working, dude.
He's definitely taking a step back from last year.
Oh, for sure.
I would rather see him play the offense from last year than what they're playing now.
Yeah.
Bring him back, Pep.
Sorry, Gattis.
You didn't pass the first three-game test.
I don't know.
Like I told you, last year we saw Shea in one of those games,
the Northwestern game,
where he really put a couple drives together at the end to win the game.
He kind of put the team on his back.
Yeah, I was expecting to see more of that this year.
And, like, okay, he's in an offense that's suited for him.
He's going to be, you know, really on point.
You know, we know that he's pretty accurate.
And this year it's just not accurate, not hitting people.
You know, I know there's pressure up front, but step up in the pocket,
scramble a little bit, make a throw, or just throw it out of bounds.
You know, like he tossed the ball to his offensive lineman there.
Like I don't know what was that.
What was the point of that?
He looked like, you know, it was that? What was the point of that?
He looked like Ed Reed trying to make something happen.
He's overthrowing people.
Again, another thing we're saying, he's overthrowing people.
He's not putting throws in the money.
I'm just going to go back to, because I just hate Sean McCune so much,
that one play. I don't even know if it was his first target, but
he had a ball, room out in front
of him, goes to try to
slide and slows himself down, the ball hits off his hands
and he just, oh
God. It looked pretty unflat. Get him
off the team. I don't care.
No. Even if he's a good, oh
get him off. I can't stand him.
Cannot stand him.
Consistently, he's notorious for not being able to catch the ball.
Yeah, I mean, he missed a few really bad ones, yeah.
That would have kept the drive going.
You might be the only anti-McHugh fan.
Oh, I'm not the only one.
I know that, but I am not a fan.
Here's another thing, too.
Donovan Peoples-Jones played today.
He wasn't in there the first couple drives, and then they put him in.
Like, okay, is he 100%?
Is he not?
I'm not really sure.
But he seemed like he played the rest of the game, and he was able to score a touchdown.
Right?
He had a couple catches.
I don't know what the stats are.
He had a two-point conversion.
Did he have a touchdown?
He had a touchdown.
Touchdown.
He did have a two-point conversion.
Or no, maybe that was a touchdown.
Never mind.
I thought it was a touchdown.
And then he drew that pass interference.
The pass interference, yeah.
But he also got nailed on some BS.
Some BS, yeah.
The refs were terrible in the game.
Awful.
Awful.
Terrible refs.
Awful.
Awful to see.
When the ref caught the ball, I was like, oh my gosh.
Yeah, what is happening?
Are you kidding me?
This ref has no idea what he's doing.
No, it was just an annoying game to watch.
Oh, gosh.
But DPJ gets in the game and...
He's, like, non-existent.
Non-existent.
Like, target him.
Just, this is your guy.
Like, send him the ball, right?
Like, just throw up some passes and try and make it work.
I don't really know.
This is your five-star NFL guy.
Like, why not? And then they finally did it late in the game, and Nikos is coming down. This is your five-star NFL guy.
Like, why not?
And then they finally did it late in the game,
and Nikos is coming down with them.
He's coming down with catches.
Exactly.
We've got good receivers.
Throw them to your receivers.
Throw it to them.
That's their strength.
That was the whole point of Speed and Space.
Let them show off why they're great recruits,
why they're athletic,
and why they're our highly touted wide receivers, right?
Let's go.
This is our time.
So it's frustrating to see them not do that.
Yeah, it seems like we're in a dark spot as Michigan fans. I'm in a very dark spot right now.
Dark place.
Yeah.
No, but, I mean, hopefully we can improve.
We can always improve, so I try to be optimistic,
and we're playing Rutgers next week.
Ronnie Bell can ball.
Let's talk about that.
Yeah, that's true.
Yeah.
I mean, Ronnie Bell.
I mean, I said in our first podcast, I was like, hey, our playmakers, man.
I mean, Ronnie Bell.
You guys were like, no.
Ronnie Bell's good.
We didn't say he was bad.
You're like, you say Ronnie Bell.
I said he was, no, I will go back.
I did say he was not. I said he was not better, I will go back. I did say he was not.
I said he was not better than Nico, Tariq, or DPJ.
I think that's true.
But I still think he should be.
I did not give him enough credit.
He should be on the list.
For what he's been performing and doing this season,
that catch that got called not a catch.
That was 100% a catch.
That was going to be one of the worst calls of the season.
Oh, yeah.
And they called it a catch initially.
Apparently found enough to overturn it.
When we were watching the broadcast,
what, Mike Piera?
Joe Platt, yeah.
Or the analyst guy, the video booth guy.
He was like, if they would have called that not a catch,
I see enough to overturn it to make it a catch.
Right.
So for them to overturn it from catch to not a catch,
I just don't understand.
Like, these, they were awful.
Yeah.
Awful refs.
But, yes, Ronnie Bell is very athletic, made some plays, lays out for the ball,
not afraid to get dirty and hope his team wins.
He's legit.
I'm excited to see the rest of his career. I do think, to Nate's point, it's just odd that it seems like Ronnie's getting all the targets
when you've got Tariq, Nico, and DPJ who are
equally, if not more, talented.
And you're kind of going, like, why aren't you targeting these guys?
It's hard when you don't see the whole field
too. Like, are they covered?
Are the quarterbacks' eyes aren't down the
field to be able to see if they're open?
It honestly makes me more angry now.
Because now I feel like we have
four legitimate
guys. Four, yeah.
Right?
Four legitimate wide receivers, and then it's just.
And it's like, why are we not executing?
Yeah.
So it's like, now you've got four guys, not just three.
I mean, I think Eubanks is a great tight end.
I think so, yeah. You've got a lot of weapons, and nothing is being used, and it's just, it's really sad.
It just leaves you scratching your head at the end of the game.
Yeah. You just saw, like, you saw, like, a blur, and you's just really sad. It just leaves you scratching your head at the end of the game.
Yeah.
You just saw like a blur, and you're just like, what just happened?
So, no, I mean, I think we're all on the same page.
I don't really have anything more to contribute.
I'm just... What do you got for Rutgers?
I just want to eat some ice cream at this point.
Might as well look forward to that game.
What do you got for the Rutgers game?
What's your prediction?
At this point, I'm looking at like a 28-14 win for Michigan.
They're really good about their score prediction, yeah.
I think that seems...
What do you want to see from that game?
I want to see the defense show up.
Okay, they're going to let Rutgers score 14 points, whatever.
But I want to see the defense show up,
and maybe they score 14 points because they let up a few big plays here and there.
Whatever.
But I want to see them keep the rush yards to below three per carry.
And then on offense, I want to see them kind of put it together a little bit,
put some drives together, go down the field and score a touchdown.
I don't want to see this three and out.
I don't want to see, you know, go to second and five,
and then you get a penalty, and then it's third and long,
and then you're punting the ball.
That's how it seems like it's been going.
What about you, Jack? What do you want to see from the Rutgers game? I mean, I like the score prediction, 28-14. long and then you're punting the ball. That's how it seems like it's been going.
What about you, Jack?
What do you want to see from the Rutgers game?
I mean, I like the score prediction, 28-14.
I want to see the defensive line get in the backfield.
They did not do any of that this game.
Consistently wide open holes on the D-line for the running backs to get through.
And, again, all the credit to Wisconsin.
I believe they're a very good team.
But, still, we're supposed to be right up there with them.
And we got embarrassed. Right. So, I want to see the D-line. But still, we're supposed to be right up there with them, and we got embarrassed.
So I want to see the D-line close up the gaps, get in the backfield, get some tackles for loss.
I want to see a pass-first offense.
I don't want to see a run-first offense. I think when we pass first and our mindset is pass, pass, pass,
and then if it sets it up for a good run, go for the run,
I think we should be pass-first and see how that gets us and see how our offense moves.
I mean, that's my biggest thing.
You know, close the gaps on the D-line when the running back's trying to come through, get in the backfield, and pass first.
We'll see what happens.
Give Joel Milton some playing time.
Yeah.
That too.
Yeah.
Nate, what's your take on that?
I want to see time of possession.
I want them to win the time of possession for sure this next game.
Oh, yeah.
Was it Rutgers?
Well, that's because we just kept three and outing every time.
Yeah, exactly.
They've got to have some time of possession to win these games,
and I feel like the defense is just – it's been the last three years
the defense has put in these situations where it's difficult to be on the field
that long and expect the other team to just not score.
I mean, so I would hope that they could win the time of possession
and use more of their, like, players than just two people.
Right.
And, like, I don't know whether Shea's going to start or what that whole deal is,
but whoever's quarterback, just, I don't know, just play consistent.
Hit some guys.
If they could go 60% completion pass on their completion percentage,
I'd be fine with that.
Maybe that's a movement in the right direction.
Yeah, I want to see Gattis kind of call a good game too.
Call a game that makes me feel really secure in his play-calling abilities.
Just because the last couple games, I feel like there's been a couple question marks there.
That's what the whole thing was going into the season.
Is he going to be a good play-caller?
And he hasn't been.
So far, yeah.
It's not been very glamorous.
Yeah.
Did you understand why Ben Mason was...
No.
Like, at all?
No, obviously they had no idea what they were doing.
They called a timeout.
He came in and was like...
I mean, you're stopping the whole momentum again right there?
Yeah.
They just had...
If you're going to put him in, let him know what's going...
Like, why does offense not know what's going on?
Yeah.
Otherwise, put in your actual running back.
You've got to...
Or they just run a play down there really quick,
call a timeout if they want to change something up,
and then get things worked out.
Run him in, and then be like,
oh shit, we don't know what we're doing,
and then call a timeout,
and then give him the ball,
and then he fumbles it.
It would have been way better off
just running some sort of read option, whatever,
and then using the next play to put Ben Mason in.
But yeah, I don't know what they're doing there.
I don't know what's going on at all.
Like you said before, I think everybody's just scratching their heads
and we're just all very lost and confused.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Like I said, we're in a dark place.
But, you know, like all dark places, there could be a light at the end of the tunnel.
So hopefully we can squeeze ourselves out of this and come out on top.
Try to be optimistic.
Oh, sorry.
I love you, man.
I don't have anything else.
Yeah, that's all I got.
