I can't believe it's November 14th. I don't know what is going on. Halloween happened and then we just fast forwarded. Literally, it felt like Halloween was like two days ago. And then it feels like September should have been like two weeks ago. Like I'm in this boat here where I'm like get me to Ohio State, but also I want this football season to drag on for two more months because I love football season, and I don't want it to end.

I think that seems like an appropriate first topic here. I'm going to be honest. You can call me negative vibes only. Here we go.

It was a very extremely boring game that's fine it was tough to watch sure i mean that for me hey they won i'm enjoying it michigan's undefeated like we said they're 10 and 0 they won by 30 you know in the i agree some some teams can't say that they can win in bad weather you know maybe that maybe we're playing a team at the end of the month that plays really bad in bad weather. So I was very excited. Who would that be?

Ohio something. Columbus State University. Just like a hypothetical situation? Yeah. Yeah, okay. I loved it. I loved every second of it. That was my first reaction.

I mean, we were in the stadium, and I was just like – I obviously enjoyed it, but I was just like i i obviously enjoyed it but i'm just like all right like that was what was making me like the problem was i think the problem was it was too cold like you're already kind of upset of the fact that you're freezing your ass off in there and there's no booze in there so you can't keep yourself warm with any liquid. So that probably played a factor for you. That's my hypothesis. Well, I think that was, you know, I think that I wasn't the only person with that hypothesis

or with that feeling. Yeah, anybody in the stadium, I'd say that. Yeah. No, I agree with that. I think that it was freezing cold, although the snow at the beginning couldn't have been more similar to Ohio State, except for the fact that it was just not quite was on a field. A humble brag here, but I was on the field pregame, and it was like a very cool snow globe feeling when you're inside that bowl and there's hype around the game and snow falling. It's a really, really cool feeling. You should have taken like a panorama or something.

did a front flip cartwheel onto the field and just like ran 100 yards yeah straight into harbaugh i did um i didn't get allowed into the tunnel i'm not that cool no they said you're too you have you're too uh too aggressive to go into the tunnel or what they know legitimately the tunnel security was unreal they weren't letting anybody in the tunnel it was insane like we had to usually so usually if you have a field pass, you go through the tunnel like from the outside of the stadium. So you just enter through the tunnel and go around the field. We had to go into the game like normal peasants just through the ticket.

Which, I mean, don't they know who I am? Like it's ridiculous. It's crazy. I really don't have know who i am like it's ridiculous dude it's crazy yeah i i really don't have anything to say to that i was trying to come up with something clever and i'm as baffled that i had to had to walk all the way down there and walk down the stairs to get onto the field i can't believe they treated you like that i agree i mean i should have pissed on the field i i'm like you know i it's like that uh the the meme of the guy like standing in the corner of the party they don't know i'm just they don't know that i'm blue by 90.

oh goodness gracious i think i i honestly would love like we should do a video of me going up to uh some like random usher or event like event stadium ops person be like don't you know who i am they'll be like dude i think i think we could 100 try to create fake like field passes and just see how far we get that would be incredible yeah i mean i think prior to this tunnel situation i think you for sure could like that you could figure that out i don't know do i think we could pass like if it's like a rainy day or something maybe we put like some uh make sure like raindrops get over like this fake barcode we use and it won't scam or like i don't know you want me to do there's raindrops on it like i can't clean it off it's just like it's soaked through and i think they would just let us in uh i might try it for illinois i actually saw a tiktok of of these guys going into a festival

with like bags of lettuce or something was it was it was something i can't remember one that i saw well there was i've seen a multiple what a couple are like you carry a ladder in, right? Or you put a safety vest on. I like that. Or a couple was like they just had a broom and a thing. And they're like, yep, we got to come in here and sweep things up. I think if we literally showed up and just like car heart everything. And I'm sitting at work right now.

We've got like those high-vis vests. Throw some car hearts on. Put a hard hat on. Put some vests on and just like two man carry or three man carry a ladder in there i think they just let us in yeah i think there's no problem i mean go stroller right stroller oh i don't know why a stroller well then you got it like it's a you get like a like a baby doll or something right and you go like oh my god i God, I got to get in here. The kid's crying, whatever. Really, you just filled it up with booze.

And so then you get in there. How about you try the stroller. We'll try the ladder. Jack's bald head would be the baby's head. Ooh, there you go. Man, that baby thick. You need a big stroller for me, man. Imagine. All right, this is a bad image but now i'm just imagining jack in like a big baby costume with like sucking on a pacifier i don't think i apologize

i don't even want to see that no i apologize to everyone for that one that would really be the yeah um all right back to the game. So I'll say this. Harbaugh said this after the game, and I agree with him 1,000%. I get it. It's boring. That's how I feel. It's kind of annoying as a fan, right, especially when it's 30 degrees.

For sure. 30 degrees hearing you say that is annoying as a fan i agree yes go ahead for sure but the uh like harbaugh is saying we're getting six yards of pop why would we stop running the ball and i agree i agree with him a thousand percent you should never if if you can and i would say the same thing if we are passing the ball at 10 yards of pop every play too. Then why ever run it? Whatever works, works. And that's what Harbaugh's thing is.

He doesn't give two shits what it looks like or if it's stylish or fun to watch or whatever. He's going to do whatever it takes to win a game, and that's it. I think my favorite part of your take that you put up on Twitter is when you, like like you whatever cropped it and then put it up on instagram with a picture of harbaugh i 100 thought i'm like why would harbaugh like why would he say that and then like i saw it on twitter i'm like wait and i'm like i'm like like thinking i'm like that like and i'm still like half drunk at this point i'm like what is

going on here am i in in some like Twilight Zone episode? And then I saw Dawson's comment and I was like, that's just a genius move by Rowe. Just tricking everybody. He's like, is it a Harbaugh quote? Is it a Justin Rowe quote? You never know. They're the same person at this point.

Have you ever seen us in the same room before? Never. No, dude. No, no. Yeah. So, yeah. I mean, I literally did not. I just, I, you know, usually I like put my tweet and then just go find a picture, right, from whatever, Google, whatever.

Did you type in Justin Rowe and then the Harbaugh picture came up? Yeah. It would be even better if you put up a picture of yourself instead of Harbaugh. It's just like me, like one of my pictures from Instagram or something. You should have cropped, you should have Photoshopped your head on harbaugh's body and that would have been perfect that'd be incredible for sure um yeah i mean yeah i i think me and him have very similar accolades yeah the best part is if you google image just Rowe, this is the picture that shows up. That's funny.

What you're doing is you're creating issues that aren't there yet. Well, I'm not going to say that. You're creating problems before they happen. Don't say it to me. Last year around this exact time, everyone, including myself, Jim Harbaugh, was saying this offense is so boring it's so vanilla we need to open up the offense we'll never beat ohio state if we can't throw the ball then we did trust the process hashtag trust the process trust correct i i it's a good tweet i believe in that in that statement that's fine that's fine for you to believe in just don't lump me in with it

okay i mean here you go you're not wrong you're good you're not wrong in saying like we want to see more deep balls completed some you know that i think that's a decent point to make fair yeah i mean that was i'm just saying so my point of it was that a majority of the fan base last season including myself i was like this is this quote-unquote boring offense i don't think it'll be enough to beat ohio state we all thought that we would need to throw the ball and keep up with their offense in order to beat them. And then what happened? We ran it down their fucking throat, and we beat them. So that's where I'm at.

I'm trying to, like, compare things where that's what I'm saying is I feel like we're going through the exact same part of the season here as we did last year where it's like everyone's, you know, critical of the play calling and the offense, not, you know, being up to speed and stuff. But I'm saying, trust the process that you know what, if Jim Harbaugh thinks that this is, you know, this offense is capable of beating Ohio state, then I believe him until we're proven wrong.

explosiveness so that like i can fucking save it i can feel but i want to feel some like really really positive momentum like everything's clicking going into this game that's all i want that's true from a fan perspective yeah that's fair I'd like to yeah there's some value to momentum right like really rolling into that game like yeah like we got it we're on top of the world we crushed our last opponent yeah I don't need I don't need it to be like they're like you know over the top you know just like way too confident but I want them to feel I want and actually this is what I want for JJ McCarthy specifically I want JJ to feel – and actually, this is what I want for J.J. McCarthy specifically. I want J.J. to hit some of those deep balls this week and feel like he's very confident in himself going down to Columbus

and throwing the ball. That's what I want to see from Illinois. I felt like watching him, I have felt his frustration just watching his emotions as like some of those – it's six-inch misses, you know. It's little things. And I watch him and he does this little like clap, you know, as he's mad at himself that he missed that throw or it wasn't perfect. I really just want to see him like, you know, hit those,

hit Ronnie or Andrell in stride down the sideline, and we score a touchdown, and JJ is all pumped up, and then he goes into that Columbus game, and, like, he just, you know, feels like he's on top of the world, ready to go, ready to make any throw we've got. Yeah. I mean, dude, if he – you know what? I've got a theory here, okay?

You know, we'll have to ask Don and see what he thinks about it. But I think J.J. is saving all his good throws for Ohio State. That's what it is. It's all in Harbaugh's game plan. He's like, hey, I need you to miss them by like this much so they don't think you can pass the ball. And they're going to focus on the run. Still not going to be able to stop it.

But then when J.J. needs to throw the ball, we're just fucking putting up 80 on them putting 90 on them like that's my theory positive vibes theory i love that theory that we would just like purposely uh misthrow throughout the season just to throw ohio state off that's big brain shit right there that is dude that's big brain energy from our next level accuracy yeah you know i've never heard him not say that they're doing that so you know how am i supposed That's big brain energy from Harbaugh. If J.J. McCarthy is good enough that he can pinpoint so that he's just off enough to miss these throws but not throw interceptions. To go even further, this is what's happening. J.J.'s like, I know Blake's already going to win the Heisman this year, right? So he's like, I'm not going to waste all of my Heisman talent this year. I'm going to have a coming out party against Ohio State, going to breeze through Big Ten title game, college football playoff, national championship. And then he's like, next year will be my Heisman year. And then I'll just kind of fucking do it.

But he's like, I'm going to throw it. I'm going to throw it until then i'm gonna throw it so in the odds he'll have good odds or bad odds to win the heisman next year so we make more money off of it he's doing it all for the fans he's the man of the people jj mccarthy so uh that's my theory i like that yeah it's a good theory um yeah i mean that hey listen if that's's the case, I'm all for it. And they're on their third defensive coordinator in three years. Incredible. Nobody expected – I mean, you have to expect when you have different guys come in that you're going to take a step back just from a learning curve standpoint. It's going to take time.

And I don't – there's like – it's almost unexplainable. It's crazy. I mean, especially going from – because it was mike mcdonald was only there for a year right yeah it was don brown then mike mcdonald so mike mcdonald did like a full turnaround of the defense right and then jesse mentor kind of just like fit in perfectly and you know i think that's why harbaugh hired him i'll say that right and it was a perfect transition jesse mentor might be doing a better job than McDonald did. Adjustment-wise, definitely.

Like, you know, I don't – like, there were times last year when, you know, Mike McDonald in the second half, it was like, hey, we've seen them do this same play, you know, a few times now. Let's adjust. But Jesse Minter, it's like if you throw a play at him one time, it feels like, you know – Yeah, won't get him again. Stop him. Yeah.

I'm looking right past you. If we lose to Illinois, again, doesn't even fucking matter. It was just like losing to Michigan State last year. You lose to Illinois, you still beat Ohio State, you go to the Big Ten Championship game, you're going to the playoff. Really, it's – This game doesn't matter. That's a really bad way to look at it, but in reality, it doesn't fucking matter.

It doesn't matter. This game does not matter. The playoff committee loves Ohio State. But that's what I'm saying. If Michigan beats Ohio State head-to-head, then this game doesn't matter. I don't know, man. Because they look at our schedule and they go like, oh, their schedule is so bad. They beat Ohio State by three.

But still, it doesn't matter. You win the head-to-head, you're going over that team. One loss, you're going head-to-head. It would be close. Because Michigan would go to the Big Ten Championship game. They win that. You're not taking Ohio State over Michigan. I can be close. Because Michigan would go to the Big Ten championship game. So then I could see a situation then where it's like now you've got Georgia, TCU, who's still undefeated uh you've got tennessee who they i i they want tennessee in so freaking bad that's fine they want them in so bad and then it then it would be in your scenario here then there's five teams in if if you count michigan and ohio state so what i'm just saying if if Michigan beats Ohio State,

they're not putting Ohio State in over Michigan if you can only pick one Big Ten team. I've even heard people talking about... There's no fucking way. I mean, if they do it, it would be insane to me. I agree. I've even heard people talking about putting Oregon in there. Even though Oregon lost the head-to-head to Georgia,

they say, well, that was game one. It's a totally different team. Yeah, I mean, that's a valid concern but also who's playing in the sec title game you know like there's there's multiple spots that are going to be fucking open could be lsu it will be lsu is not fucking i don't care two loss lsu that they make it in heather that heather didn't denny from yes all sec player she she was ready to put lsu in the playoff with two losses in week eight it was unbelievable hey i i bet booger mcfarland was right behind her on it too it's the espn sec bullshit i i and you know what i don't understand it. They have to get bigger numbers of viewers from us.

Well, we beat the team with a former number one recruit in the country. That's for sure. I mean, according to my rankings, EMU is a top 10 team. I agree with that. Great ranking. They did look very good. Eagles. Imani.

Imani. Here's the deal. Imani showed us all that. He he in fact then this is going to shock everybody but the former number one recruit in the country pretty good at basketball pretty good shocking shocking revelation that we found out there i was actually honestly dude everything he's been through i was happy to see him play well you He's a local kid for us. It was cool to see him do well against a good team. I'll leave it at that. I could have gone.

This was, I think somebody tweeted this out, but it was like whenever Imani scored and then just talked shit immediately after the whole time, I hated that. But then when Hunter does that, I'm like, talk your shit, Hunter, let's go. Well, I loved it because I feel like it was getting like, I loved the Imani versus Jed Howard kind of like beef.

I was like, that got me fired up. That got me fired up. I was in LCA. It was a crazy environment. Like it was shimmy. The Eastern crowd and I'm assuming – so there was a big Michigan crowd obviously and then there was a really solid Eastern crowd.

But also I think they were just like a bunch of people just going to watch Imani as well. Every time Imani scored, the place went nuts. And then Hunter would go score, something would happen. And like the Michigan fan base would go nuts. It was like a legit like little back and forth every time. It was awesome. That was fun. That's awesome.

I mean, Michigan won the state title. They beat the best team in the state that's true that should be the new state title game played at lca michigan versus eastern i like that i like that good should we do state champs merch for that too should fuck should have done that oh man oh i i love it i love it i um i think the uh you know this hoops team i think they'll get it figured out. I think they've got to figure out some things. And, like, I think Jet, like, set up the expectations too high.

He's not going to score 30 points a game, you know. So, like, we have to come to reality that, like, if he doesn't go six for eight from the three-point line then that's okay you know he's got to come back down the line well i think another huge thing is too is a lot of the guys that are contributing and playing are freshmen i mean you got terrence reed you got jed howard you got joey baker who's a transfer you got jaylen llewellyn who's a transfer i mean there's a lot of new faces that are contributing right away, and it's going to take some time for this team to kind of like gel out

and hit their stride and figure out how everybody plays. They'll get better. I mean, this isn't the best we'll see of Michigan basketball this year. They're going to get better, and they're going to be really fucking good by the end of the year. I still feel like they're very dependent on Hunter Dickinson. Well, to kind of go towards that, it's like Michigan football running the ball. Like, why would you go away from what's working?

Yeah. I think that's true, too. I think, like – I mean, Hunter had, what, 30? Yeah. Really? And, honestly, if he didn't miss some of those puppies in the first half, he could have had, like, 45.

Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, but, Kalenlen i hear you i mean they're i think they're relying on him right now because maybe they have to a little bit but like i said once that team gels i think they're gonna be fucking like they're gonna be a hard team to beat yeah yeah um i i well here's the thing what the difference was the difference from that game against eastern versus the first two games was the first two games Michigan was really hitting threes really well and what that does is then it opens up

underneath for for Hunter and then it does it's not forced there's no double teams that type of stuff when when you have outside shooting that it makes this team way different and so like that's where jet and kobe and i really want jaylen wellen to be you know i i think the key if michigan wants to go to the next level jet and kobe need to be like really good scorers then jaylen wellen needs to be able to contribute from a point guard standpoint not just in running the point but he needs to be a scoring point guard too. Yeah. Also, Terrace Reed needs to – first of all, he's a freaking giant. We got two – he's an athletic big dude. That dude is a monster, an absolute monster. And so I think he's going to be good,

but we do need him to be able to make – at least go 50% from the free throw line. Otherwise, he's really – they're just going to hack a shack. Yeah, I feel like we were struggling with free throws. That's for sure. I mean, we shot 40 free throws in that game. How many did we make? Do you know?

We only made 60% of them. It was like 27. Not great. Not great. Yeah, It was like 20. Great. Not great. Yeah, it was it was not good. So that piece and the defense really needs to improve as well. Jet incredible on offense. Not so incredible on defense.

So if he wants to be able to play at the Big Ten level he's gonna have to because the thing is like at his position a lot of times he's gonna be matched up with the other team's best player you know so it's gonna be tough yeah and you know yeah they'll keep watching film they'll get better but yeah i did remember watching that i was like yeah defense gonna't look great but he gets killed he finds he like as guys are are going around screens and stuff he um he like gets lost a little bit on the floor on defense so they'll figure it out i mean even isaiah barnes like dude isaiah barnes who's barely seen any playing time in his career so far is all of a sudden matched up out of Manny Bates. Like that's a tough situation.
