Blurry Creatures - EP: 457 The Lucifer Conspiracy with Doug Hamp
Episode Date: August 25, 2026You have heard the name Lucifer your whole life. Doug Hamp says it was never there. The Hebrew University-trained scholar and author of the Corrupting the Image trilogy returns to the baseme...nt to show that the word behind Lucifer in Isaiah 14 is not Lucifer at all. It is Hillel, and it traces back through Akkadian to a Sumerian deity named Enlil. Nobody in the ancient world knew a Lucifer. But Enlil is everywhere. The god who splits heaven and earth, seizes the earth as his own, rules the far north, holds the Tablet of Destinies, and decrees the fates of men. Every fingerprint of the being we call Satan, hiding in plain sight for four thousand years. From there it only gets bigger. Doug walks through the great red dragon carved into the Ishtar Gate, the woman riding the beast pressed into a cylinder seal from 2200 BC, and the ancient images that show up in Revelation thousands of years before John writes a word. He connects the sealed scroll of Revelation 5 to the Tablet of Destinies and the title deed of planet Earth, the one Adam handed away in the garden. This is the second book of the trilogy, and it rewires how you read the strangest book in the Bible. The weird stuff was never weird. It was history. If Bigfoot had a sweater out there, it would be a one-of-a-kind sweater.
If you're a one-of-a-kind guy, where do you go?
Well, Quinn's is where we go.
That's right.
August is the perfect time to hit reset.
I can't think of a better place to start than Quinn's.
I can just see Bigfoot out there with like a gray-knitted sweater.
If you want something that's luxury quality, durable, will last and look good.
Quinn specializes in everyday staples that work harder, like their ultra-soft, organic cotton teas and premium Mongolian cashmere sweaters.
Quinn's makes high-quality clothing, bedding, luggage, and home goods without the traditional luxury markup.
cashmere, linen, silk, leather.
The kind of materials you would like when you have your life completely all together and you've got
just a nice, organic looking cotton on.
And the best part about this is Quinn's is priced 50 to 80% less than similar brands that
work directly with ethical factories and cut out the middlemen.
So you're paying for high quality, not brand markup.
And I bought myself an entire new set of bath towels.
Good to have a replacement, whether it's your autumn wardrobe or whether you want to
refresh in your kitchen or your bedroom or your bathroom.
They've got it all there.
That's right.
So fall's coming up.

That's Q-U-I-N-C-E dot com slash blurry.
I mean, how does it become a hybrid though?
I don't know exactly the mechanism.
No, but we're going to postulate here.
But here's something that's interesting.
So there was this guy from Reno, Nevada, who had leukemia.
So he gets this German bone marrow donor.
The forensics lab is taking samples of his blood, and they're like, oh my gosh, you are changing genetically to the DNA of your donor.
That's weird.
They even checked his sperm, and they found that it was that of his donor.
What?
That's wild.
And Chris is on record saying, that's pretty wild that I can disappear genetically and somebody else take my place.
Okay.
How in the world can somebody disappear genetically?
Well, the word in Hebrew, Eczem, which is your bone, it also means yourself.
So when you talk about yourself, you say, it's me.
That's in Genesis, bone of my bone, flesh and my flesh.
So apparently, when you put in somebody else's bone marrow into yourself, you become that person, genetically speaking, at least.
Doug Hampt joins us today to trace the adversary from the beginning all the way to the time of Jesus.
We're going to the top of Mount Hermon, the place where the angels made an oath, and there's actual evidence.
This wasn't just a legend.
Nimrod, Babel, and the gate that was never meant to be opened.
And Jesus walked straight into enemy territory right at the time.
the place ground zero and sets creation right.
All that and more.

I'm going to assume at least one person is right.
Because if one person's right to bust the paradigm,
it all goes back to the fallen chair.
And the problem with the modern day church,
they have a very truncated view of the supernatural.
This backdrop that's just pregnant with all kinds of meaning
associated with this Mount Hermon event.
And this guy defects from the kingdom.
That's a big deal.
All right, we're back in the basement.
We're excited.
Doug, it's been a long time.
Doug Hamp's with us today.
And we talked about your first book.
This episode we're talking about your second book,
corrupting the image two,
which is not when you pull the hard drive out too early
and all your images get messed up.
You corrupt the image?
Yeah.
That's every time you drew anything on Microsoft paint, it was corrupted.
But you're an author, pastor,
let's read a little bit here about you.
M.A.
at Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
Ph.D. in Biblical Studies.
Yes.
Study nine languages.
Pastors the Way Congregation in Denver, Colorado.
The author of the Corrupting the Image trilogy.
So we've got three.
And L.A. Marzuli says you did your homework.
Well, Doug, we had you on episode 93.
We're just, we were talking and joking beforehand.
It's been quite some time since episode 93, but it's great to have you in the basement.
We're talking hybrids, Hades, and the Mount Herman connection.
Yeah.
I mean, this is what you do.
You synthesize biblical linguistics.
Archaeology. We're going to talk about some of the things that have been found on Mount Hermon,
also in ancient Mesopotamian inscriptions and carvings, ancient errant texts. And
what you've done in this book is really traced Satan's strategy from Eden through the end times.
You're a black belt in Krav Maga. So your mind is a weapon, your body's weapon. Welcome back to
blurry creatures. Thanks for having it. It's so good to be back here, guys. Yeah, so don't say anything.
He's going to just fight you. He's going to throat punch you. Dude, Nate got his haircut.
This is a big day. You know, you were growing the lettuce out for quite some time.
You show up today. You show up today. It got hot. You're looking. It was just like,
I had to shave my head, just like Napoleon Dynamite. We didn't shave it all. I was sweating this
weekend. It just got, it got hot here, Doug. Just a smaller head of lettuce. And it's a little bit more dry in Colorado.
It's a lot drier. It is out here. And so when it gets, when the summer hits, you just got a light and load a little. But welcome to
podcast. Welcome back. It's been a long time. Sorry, it's been so long. We're excited to hop in.
Where do you start, book two? We can just, let's go from page one. All right. Page one.
Well, you know, there's a lot of weird stuff in the book Revelation. We all know that, right?
And you start looking at some of the imagery and you're like, why is John talking about a great red
dragon? Why is you talking about a woman riding a beast? Why is you talking about a beast? These are just
very strange things. And these are the questions I was having and I was teaching through the book
Revelations many years ago and I was like, I want to get into the bottom of these things, right?
So I started digging and, you know, you kind of have an idea of where you might go,
but then you discover all these other things along the way, right? And I discovered that the Great
Red Dragon is actually an epithet. It's one of the ancient names for Satan. I mean, okay,
that's not a big surprise, right? But not just for Satan, but there was this entity known as
Enlil. You're like, well, who in the world is Enlil? All right, well, this is where we start
getting a whole bunch of detours in our little study, Isaiah 14, right? It says, oh, how you fall from
heaven, oh, Lucifer, son of the morning, right? That's what it says in the King James and a lot of our
Bibles. But if you start looking underneath the hood, you find that Lucifer is not in the text.
this nobody knew about Lucifer in the ancient world.
The word there is actually Heel.
Heelel, if you trace it back to the Acadian, it's Elil.
And if you trace it back to the Sumerian, it's Enlil.
Let's go.
Enlil was the God who separated heaven and earth.
He took earth as his portion.
Anu, the Creator God took heaven as his portion.
He was the god of the 33 stars.
He was the god of the farthest reaches of the north.
He was the one who held the tablet of destiny.
by which he decreed the fates of men.
And you're like, oh my goodness, this is starting to sound like somebody I just might know.
He was also known as the god of death, right?
I mean, he had all of the same markings as the person that we typically call Lucifer or
we call Satan the devil, right?
And you start putting it all together and this incredible picture starts to emerge.
And the Great Red Dragon, we find iconography of the Great Red Dragon all over the place,
which, again, just kind of blows our mind when we start finding.
For example, you know, here is a picture of, this is on the Ishtar Gate of the Neo-Babolonian Empire of Nebuchadnezzar the Second.
This is a great red dragon.
You start looking at this thing.
You're like, okay, that's just some weird dragon.
No, take a deeper look.
This thing has wings.
It has Eagles talons.
It's got a kind of a funky tail, obviously a dragon-type head.
We see this basic idea all throughout the ancient world.
Let me show you another one.
This one blew my mind.
This is a cylinder seal from about 2,200 BC.
And you can see a woman on the back of a beast.
The beast is another.
manifestation of Enlil.
And it's, we're going to see it, it kind of morphs a little bit over, over the centuries,
but it's the same basic creature.
This is a lion type creature with, with wings, it's got eagles talons, it has some kind of
poison or venom coming out of its mouth.
And on its back is Ishtar, the woman riding the beast.
Ishtar was called the mother of harlots.
This is not biblical language.
this is ancient near eastern language.
And suddenly your head is starting to explode.
You're like, oh, my goodness.
John wasn't just smoking some weird stuff, right?
He was getting downloads from God about things that the people in the ancient world,
I don't know what they were smoking,
but they were somehow seeing things in the spiritual realm from Satan's perspective.
And of course, John is seeing it from God's perspective.
Yeah.
Right?
And so when you start to uncover these things,
you start seeing revelation in a whole different light.
You start seeing this ancient and epic battle that's been going on really since the beginning.
But because we've been maybe looking for Lucifer or Satan in the ancient world, you're never going to find him anywhere.
And that always bothered me.
I'm like, why don't we find Lucifer in ancient Mesopotamia?
I mean, the Bible talks about him, right?
We believe him as Christians.
We think Satan is a real.
entity, but we don't find Satan anywhere by name in the ancient world. But once you understand that
he was known as Enlil, oh my goodness, suddenly it all starts to come together. And it turns out
that Enlil had a son who was Ninurta when the Bible calls Nimrod. Right? So again, the plot
starts to thicken, right? It just gets so incredibly cool. Yeah. I mean, I think like, obviously
people who've watched ancient aliens, they can
kind of talk about a lot of these concepts in depth. And obviously they don't have more of a,
they don't, they kind of use the Bible here and there, um, to try to tell their own narrative.
But, um, why do you think, uh, you know, it changes in the New Testament. Obviously,
Christ is tempted in the wilderness, you know, um, sometimes there is a little bit of a disconnect
between the Old Testament and the New Testament in terms of, I think that confuses a lot of people.
I think you have to, on our show, we try to go back and it makes sense more of the Old Testament.
In fact, I kind of enjoy it a little bit more because it makes more sense to me now.
But why do you think that happens?
Well, I think because we tell people to start reading in the book of John.
I think it's a mistake, honestly.
I think we should start in the book of Genesis.
You know, I mean, who's going to start a book and start in Chapter 25?
Yeah.
I mean, no one's going to do that.
You're going to be like, wait, who are all these characters?
Why?
What's happening here?
But if you start in the book of Genesis, you're like, oh, okay.
God makes Adam and Eve, Satan comes along, and suddenly we start seeing it from the beginning.
And by the time we get to Christ, you're like, oh, here comes the Savior, here comes the hero.
Here's a guy on a secret mission.
You know, this is the ultimate mission impossible.
Sure.
And he's got to come covertly to defeat death.
Right.
And now we already know who the character list is.
We know who the bad guy is.
We know how he's been posing under all these different guises.
And, you know, but part of the problem is sometimes Christians have a bias against the Old Testament.
Let's just be honest.
Yeah.
But the other part is that our English or, you know, whatever language doesn't always capture what we're finding in the Hebrew.
And so sometimes we just have to just keep digging a bit deeper and we start to see this radical picture emerge.
Back in 1985, the first real gold thing I ever saw was the best.
Zelda, the original gold game.
I mean, that brings back some memories, Nate.
And you knew it was different because it was gold.
Yeah, you knew it was special.
You knew something.
You were going to go find some treasure in that game.
And for the rest of us, if you want to find some treasure,
you don't know where to go.
You're not wandering out there with a sleuth box in the river with the big guy.
Go to Goldco.
That's how you get yourself, some precious metals.
And yeah, Nate, right now the global landscape feels really unpredictable.
It feels chaotic.
All kinds of things are going on.
And having physical assets in your hands could be,
potentially bring some serious peace of mind.
And that's why we're teaming up with Better Business Bureau A-plus rated gold and silver company, Goldco.
So when things feel out of control, physical gold and silver could offer a tangible way to diversify your holdings.
And Goldco can help you get started just like they've helped us.

Let me take you on a little tour here.
So when Satan takes Jesus up to
the Mount of, you know, wherever he was, that high mountain. I think it was Mount Hermione personally.
Yeah. And he shows him all the kingdoms of the world. He says, look, all this stuff has been
delivered to me and I can give it to whoever I want. Jesus doesn't say, wait a second,
Satan, this doesn't all belong to you. No, he basically saying, yeah, I mean, it's basically
true. How can that be? Well, again, once we understand that Satan in the ancient world was known
is Enlil, and that he held the tablet of destinies.
Whoever held the tablet of destinies, that was basically the deed to planet Earth.
That was the rights and privileges to decree fates, to decide what's going to happen.
And so Jesus is saying, yeah, you do own it.
And I'm going to take it back.
But I'm not going to shortcut.
I'm not going to take the authority from you.
But I'm actually going to go and I'm going to defa you.
feet death, right? So you start to see that his, he was known as death. This starts to tie into
King Ogh of Bashan. Yeah. Satan is known as death? Satan was known as death. Like the Grim Reaper
kind of thing? Well, yeah, I mean, you know, that's kind of the, the comic book version, right?
Yeah, yeah. But essentially, oh, yeah, where to start? I mean, so, okay, so, so, so,
Yeah, because I'd love to talk about the tablet of destinies too.
Yeah.
Because, like, we haven't really talked about that at all, I don't think.
No, but it makes me think I mean, I have a, I know I want to start you real quick,
but like, can we talk about why, this is what I think is so interesting.
The people listening to the show don't have a good grasp of Revelation.
What Doug is painting here is that we've got something from 2,200 BC,
and it is the exact imagery that we see in Revelation 12, which is the harlot.
Yep.
Of Revelation riding the back of the dragon.
And the beast.
And so what I just wanted to come back to this quickly.
Why that's so important to this conversation is you just identified that the identity of Enlo, who is one of the head god or one of the head gods.
Maybe you can clarify that, but he essentially is the one that controls the earth and has the tab of destiny.
And he is depicted here as a dragon with,
and so you have this crazy parallel.
So my question then is like how did,
what's happening here where this ends up in
in sort of the Sumerian, Proto-Babolonian mythology
that we see in Revelation and people that in the ancient world
would have understood this from John, right?
Okay, we know this story, but why do they know that story?
Yeah. Well, you know, I don't know if people in John's day would have known about Sumer. I mean, that was already ancient history in their day. Yeah. Okay. But what it does tell us is that whatever the people in ancient Sumer were seeing, like, how did they know about this stuff? How did they know this? Yeah. I think that they were seeing into the spiritual realm one way or another. I don't know if they were doing drugs. I don't know if they were doing some kind of strange cultic seance, whatever. But they were somehow.
able to have a cognition of what was happening in the spiritual realm, right? Satan and
company were showing them what was on the other side. And so here we have this iconography.
So by the time we get to the book of Revelation, God is not revealing something else. He's not
just giving some weird analogies and metaphors for people to wrestle with and it's all just
allegorical. It's not allegorical. Now, again, it's not to say that every,
Everything is, you know, 100% literal.
I mean, I'm not expecting a dragon necessarily to show up.
But the one who is embodied in, who represents or is represented by the dragon, who has always been depicted as the dragon.
That's the one that I'm expecting to show up, namely Satan.
Right.
And the Bible tells us that he's Satan, the devil, the dragon.
He has all these different names.
And once we can, you know, just stop focusing on Lucifer.
or Satan and start understanding that his role was huge in the ancient world.
Oh, and Enlil means Lord Wind.
What does Paul call him?
He says he's the prince of the power of the air.
Interesting.
Right?
So you're like, oh, my goodness.
This guy, you know, Satan was not just something that the Bible came up with,
but he was a real ancient entity.
He just had a different name.
And once we can start tracing these,
And that's where it's really fun to start connecting the linguistic dots.
And you start to see, oh, my goodness, he was everywhere.
I think part of the problem with Christians is if you start a chapter one in Genesis,
he's already there and right away.
And I don't think there's a backstory that we get.
Yeah.
And so you talk about this tablet of destinies.
Is that when he gets this?
Is that part of the swap there?
And I don't know, we haven't really talked about this much on the show.
Yeah.
So, okay, Ezekiel 28 is where we have to start.
If you want his backstory, you've got to go to Zechio 28.
Because God tells us right there that I made you as the perfection.
He was full of wisdom, perfect in beauty.
He was the anointed cherub who covers.
And he says, a really interesting thing.
He says, by the abundance of your trading, you became filled with violence.
So the word trading there is the Hebrew word,
rechulatha. And some people translate it, trading. But there's another word that fits much better.
And it's actually the word slandering. So by your slandering, by the abundance of your slandering.
And the word slander basically means to come and go as a tailbearer. So it's kind of related to
trading. You're giving out something, right? You're exchanging something. But in this case,
it's information, but it's really negative slanderous information. Oh, and guess what? Slander.
is in the Greek.
Diabolos,
El Diablo.
So the devil
literally is the slanderer.
So we start to find
his backstory right there
in Exodus.
Do you think that was his job?
Like related to his job?
He had, he was,
like he was getting information
from one part to the next.
Well, God says that I made you perfect.
You were perfect in every way.
There was nothing that was wrong with.
you until you started going off on these kind of strange tangents.
All right.
So in here, you were the anointed cherub, for I had anointed, you were on the holy
mountain of God and you walked among the fiery stones.
Right.
So he was on the holy mountain.
He was also in Eden, the garden of God.
So look, when Satan shows up for Adam and Eve, they're not thinking, oh my gosh, that's
a talking snake.
How weird is this?
No.
He was already.
the prime minister of Earth. His job was to be the manager, the CEO, the chief steward of planet Earth.
Now, God made Adam and Eve as ones in his own likeness and in his own image. So those are kind of
his kids, right? Yeah. And I think of it like who Joseph was to Pharaoh. So Joseph became the number one
head hancho, he became the de facto ruler of Egypt. But the moment Pharaoh has a son,
his son is going to outrank Joseph, right? Yeah. Two very different relationships. But Joseph had
immense power. But imagine if Joseph said, well, I don't want to just be number two. I want to be
number one. I want to take over. Well, now you're going to have a problem. And so Satan was not
content to just be the chief steward.
He probably in his own machinations didn't think,
why do I have to serve these creatures made of dust?
Yeah.
Why do I have to, you know, be in this role of steward
instead of being in the role of boss, right?
And so what it says through the abundance of your trade,
that's the key word there, that's the word rehulatha,
by the abundance of your slandering,
you became filled with violence and sinned.
So I disgrace you from the mountain of God
and banished you, garden chariot from the fire of stones, etc.
And so he became proud because of his beauty,
because of his splendor.
He corrupted himself, right?
He thought he was so amazing.
And he was.
He really was amazing.
I mean, when you look at the language here,
it's absolutely stunning.
You were the seal of perfection,
full of wisdom.
and perfect in beauty.
Oh my goodness.
You were in Eden.
You were in Eden.
He was in Eden.
Who else was in Eden?
Well, Adam and Eve, right?
So he was amazing.
He comes to the garden and they're like, oh, we know you.
We trust you.
You're God's number one dude.
And he's covered in precious stones and gold.
Yeah.
Yeah.
He's wearing the nicest of things.
Yeah.
Yeah. And in the Septuagint, it actually has 12 stones. So it gives you the impression that he was actually a priest.
Like the high priest. He was a high priest. And what does a high priest do? Their job is to intercede between God and man.
You know, the ancient Egyptians had old healing chambers that could go inside and take care of themselves. But we've lost that tech, Luke.
Yeah, we have. And I think in this day and age, especially in our 40s here, as being 80s babies, we really need to take care of our bodies. And part of that is putting the right things in.
it. That's right. Whether it be protein fiber, creatine. One of the things I've really added lately
is my Momentus Signature Spec Creatine. We've been talking about creatine for a while on the show,
not just maintaining muscle mass, but this is giving you more energy. It's giving you more cognitive
function. It's really crucial to your overall health. Mentis signature spec creatine is one of
the only creatines to be manufactured in a pharmaceutical facility using reverse osmosis, water
purification and verified through an expanded six-stage testing process with four independent
in agencies, and that just means it's the best.
10 times fewer impurities, two to five times tighter heavy metal limits and PFAs and
microplastic screenings.
And there's even more to that, but what we're really getting is the best quality
creatine on the market.
You don't want mystery ingredients inside your supplements.
You want mysteries in your podcast, and that's it.
This is part of my morning routine.
I have like a little protein shake.
I actually have the momentous fiber plus to that.
And then I add the signature spec creatine to start my day.
Before I even have my coffee, this is what I'm putting in my body.
and I mean, I think over the last few months
I've really seen the results
of sticking to this regimen
and adding creatine in this way
to my mornings.
So if you want to do that,
you want to try Momentus Signature Specchreateen,
head to livemomentus.com
and use code blurry
for up to 35% off your entire first order.
That's livemomenus.com promo code blurry
for up to 35% off.
Livemementis.com promo code blurry.
Well, that's what I was saying.
Like if he's such a slanderer, then, you know, angels are messengers.
Is there some kind of message going back and forth?
Or is that the corruption of job once he falls?
Yeah.
Does he?
He has information and then he can turn it against.
He turned it against him.
Yeah.
Right.
And that's why it was so subtle.
That's why I was taking candy from a baby.
Because, you know, he is a very trusted figure.
Yeah.
Right?
They're not, this is why they're not on guard at all because he's a trusted figure.
He's speaking for God.
and they're like, oh yeah, okay.
So if you're telling us this, well, okay.
And that's a really tempting place to be for a human being, like ancient time.
There's also stories of people like between, you know, the king and the people who gets corrupted.
And then he, you know, gets paid in the, you know, somewhere.
And then he funnels information to the other side.
And it's just an interesting, we see that all the time.
And does this, just treason and acts?
Does this work like that you're doing on the, you?
in sort of the ancient near eastern and connecting these dots.
Do you see an overlap with some of the work of Dr. Michael Heiser and the Divine Council?
Oh, yeah.
Okay.
Yeah, yeah.
Now, Heizer was great.
He was a very well-studied man.
And we had a lot of points of overlap.
Yeah.
And for the tablet of destinies, too, I want to ask, like, because we've talked a bit about, like, that was it Revelation 5?
Yes.
Where they wept because none could open the scroll and then there is him.
He can, right?
Is that?
Totally.
I talk about that in the book.
Okay.
I don't want to jump ahead, but that's what I think of right away.
That's my job.
I get to read ahead today.
Yeah, I mean, this is where it's all connected, right?
And again, sometimes we get stuck in our Bible-centric perspectives where we won't allow any ancient history to help us to understand it and to interpret it and to fill out some of the details.
It's like a commentary.
It's like the best commentary is the cultural context.
Exactly.
The Bible gives a lot of bullet points, you know?
Yeah.
And then it's up to us to understand, okay, where do these bullet points come from?
Where are they going?
And when we see in Revelation 5 that there's this scroll that is sealed and nobody can open it,
nobody is found worthy.
And so John begins to cry.
Why is he weeping?
Why is this scroll so incredibly important?
Well, let's think about it.
once all the seals are opened, then what?
Well, then the kingdoms of this world have become the lords, right?
Everything is reverting back.
So I think that scroll is kind of like a title deed to planet earth, or it's the tablet
of destinies.
That's what Timothy Albarino in the show has talked about.
He believed that be the deed to the earth, right?
That it's been given to Satan.
These could be the same thing as well, right?
You could have the tablet of destinies be the same, essentially the same thing as a deed to
the earth because he becomes Satan, Satan falls and becomes the Lord of the Air.
The king, he becomes the one that offers the kingdoms of the earth to Christ, right?
But how did he get them?
Right.
Because in the beginning, it says that God made the world and he gave dominion to Adam and Eve, right?
So the keys to planet Earth belonged in Adam's hand.
And then Satan comes along and says, hey, can I have those keys?
And Adam says, sure, here you go.
Right. So he gives away the authority to Satan.
Right. It was, it was legally Adams, because God made it, gave it to Adam, and Satan was simply to be a steward of that.
He was, you know, to be the chief butler, if you will, right?
The house belongs to Satan.
Satan, excuse me, the house belongs, you might want to edit that one out.
Okay.
The house belongs to Adam.
Right.
Yeah.
All right.
And as Chief Butler, Satan's job was to make sure that everything was running properly and to take care of Adam's needs.
Like Alfred.
Exactly.
And why do you think God kind of puts these angels around humankind?
Like, it seems like probability of things going wrong or higher when you have power struggles.
And we're kind of here, but they're kind of here as well.
Why do you think that it's always been sort of hard for me to understand, like,
feels like God would have known that this was going to be.
You know, this is one of these mysteries that we can understand, but we kind of can't,
but for love to be real, for love to be absolutely real,
there has to be the possibility of rejection.
I mean, think about it.
Yeah.
You know, if you go up to your girlfriend and you propose and there's a gun to her head,
I mean, she says yes.
Maybe you get married, but your whole life you're like, yeah, but she only said yes because
there was a gun to her head.
Yeah, yeah.
It doesn't mean really anything to you.
Yeah.
I mean, it's a disappointment because you're like, would you have loved me if I had not put a gun
to your head?
Right?
And for Adam and Eve to truly choose God, to love God, he had to give us the option to not
love him.
Yeah.
And that's the scariest thing.
I'm writing a book about this.
It's called The Relation.
universe. And one of these days I'll bring it out, right? But I'm doing kind of this thought
experiment. Like, okay, you're the creator, all right? You get to create your own virtual world.
All right. And I have this kind of cool thing in the book where you have this really cool console.
But there's basically three different models of the world that you can make. One is just kind of a
nice fishbowl. You get to observe what's happening inside your world. But there's no danger.
Two, there is choice, but they're all good choices.
So they're all pre-approved state sanction choices, right?
And so it's a form of volition, but it's not really true, free volition, right?
Because they're all choices that you're like, yep, I agree with all those.
And the last one is where you give these beings the ability to choose something that you wouldn't choose.
and that is where if they will say no to choosing something that you would not choose, then they're actually choosing you.
And that's the danger. And so God created a world filled with beings that have no moral agency, animals and beings that have moral agency, humans and angels.
And angels were in no lack of understanding of God. They got to see him. They knew all of his glories. And Adam obviously,
had far less of that.
But, you know,
yeah, that's kind of where we are.
Yeah, yeah. I mean, obviously,
it's more just like they're walking amongst us.
You know, it's kind of like putting the wolves and sheep
in the same pen in some ways.
I mean, obviously, they're God's creations,
and he loves angels as much as us,
and we're kind of alike, but we're kind of different.
Yeah, it's one of those mysteries.
That happens again after the fall, though,
I mean, because this is where, I mean,
this is where it cascades down, right?
We go from Ezekiel 28 and the story of the King of Tyre, which is this allegory of Satan, right?
It's speaking directly of him and falling, right?
But then you've got, they walked among, the angels walked with humanity in the garden.
Adams kicked out.
And then we have, of course, which we talk on the show about all the time, you have this Genesis 6 event where the angels return here to walk with us again.
And you've got one of the things I was really excited to.
talk you about because as we go through all the ancient Near Eastern stuff is there's a
tablet or an inscription that you said that you've said is Satan's command to create a hybrid
race which really is what we were talking about kicking off this Mount Herman event yeah yeah
I was going to the backdrop is pregnant he gets he gets the tablet of destinies and then does he then
go and start doing what he did before which is telling other angels like hey you know you can
you guys don't have to be loyal either.
You can do what I did.
You know what I mean?
It starts to cause problems by communicating this slanderous way.
Well, again, it says by the abundance of your slanderings.
Right.
So it wasn't just a one-off.
I think God should run the universe this way.
He must have said it a bunch of times where he was subtly influencing the angels
and Adam and Eve against God
in ways that were
slightly questionable,
but, you know,
still kind of made sense, you know?
So I do kind of a thing in the book
where I have this suggestion of
maybe he was going around and he was saying things like,
hey, you know what,
is it really right for us to have to serve things made of dust?
Yeah.
And if you start looking at the Hebrew,
the word,
Avodah means to work, to serve, but it also means to, could mean to worship.
So there may have been some kind of a wordplay that was going on.
I don't know.
I'm speculating.
Yeah.
And, you know, so exactly, you know, what he said, we'll probably never know.
But he obviously, just based on the text, he was doing slanderings.
He was doing it many times.
And by the abundance of his slanderings, he was cast out of the mountainous city.
Yeah, it was bad HR
I had to get rid of them
You know
Yeah
You got handed his pink slip
See you
You know the stories
Get bizarre here
I'm blurry creatures
People get
Hold out of their window
onto some ship
With a mystery physician
Doing mystery procedures on you
That's no good
Yeah I mean
They don't even have ratings
How do you know
If these mystery physicians
Are any good
Yeah what do they do
What do they come from
You know
Oftentimes a lot of us
We need to find a doctor

So then, you know, speculation, but he, obviously other angels defect, and we have this
pact that was made and you have this stone here. This was found on Mount Herman, right?
This was found on Mount Herman. Yep. This is probably from maybe 300 to 800 to 800 BC. We don't
know exactly. It's actually in Greek. But there's a word in there. And I was, you know, again,
I was digging around and I heard about the Mount Hermon inscription. I'm like, oh, that's interesting.
You know, so I start looking it up. And there's a Harvard professor who translated it. I was like,
and it says, according to the command of the great and holy God, those taking an oath proceed from here.
I'm like, well, that's interesting. George Nicholsberg, all right. And I'm like, great scholar. Okay. And I'm like,
But wait, why would they take an oath according to the great and holy God?
If you're going to go do bad stuff, why would you take an oath in God's name?
That doesn't make any sense.
So I'm like, okay, I need to see the original Greek.
Okay.
So I find the original Greek and it says Hagios, holy.
I'm like, okay, I want to see the stone.
Right?
So I go poking around on the British Museum website and I found the stone.
This is the actual stone.
and I'm staring at this word here in the black box.
All right.
And I'm like, okay, I'm not, I'm not the foremost Greek scholar in the world by any means, all right?
But my Greek is good enough that I know that this does not say haggios.
It just doesn't say haggios, you know?
And so I'm looking, I'm calling my friends who, you know, also know Greek.
And I'm like, does that say haggios or does that say something else?
They're like, it's definitely not hoggios.
I'm like, okay, thank you.
I'm not losing my mind.
So this word actually says batu.
Yeah.
And you're like, what in the world is bought to you?
Right.
So I'm looking at every Greek lexicon I can possibly imagine.
So that's B-A-T-I-O-Y.
Yeah, B-A-T-I-O-U.
Oh, you.
Yeah, I know it.
It's Greek, Nate.
Yeah.
I know Greek.
So Bat-U, it's genitive.
Okay, it's masculine, genitive, singular.
All right.
So whatever this thing is, so it's masculine, singular, genitive.
And but so the nominative would be batios.
Yeah.
Okay.
And I'm like, what in the world is batios, right?
I'm looking all over.
And I finally come across a Mesapian inscription.
So Mesapian were, the Mesapians were a people in ancient Italy from about 800 to 300 BC, roughly.
And they have a Jupiter Batios, Jupiter Batios.
I think Jupiter Batios.
What in the world is that?
I don't know.
Where this inscription was found was in some little grotto.
You could only get there by sea.
And I'm like, hmm, okay.
So I start connecting all the dots.
There's this place where Phoenician sailors went, and they talked about this Jupiter Batios.
I'm like, oh, my goodness.
So in the backyard of Phoenicia is Mount Hermon.
And that's where this inscription was found.
And it's also found in Italy.
So there's two places in the entire world where this,
name shows up. And again, long story short, I'm trying to figure out what in the world is Batios.
Some are like, oh, maybe it's a local epithet, but there was nobody known. There was no place called
Batios in the ancient world, but there was an entity. And again, I want to make it really
easy to understand here. But when we go back to Enlil, because I've been doing all this study on
Enlil, I was looking at his logogram. That was kind of his golden arches, if you will. All right, that was his
logo. And his logo, the way you would say his logo was by saying bad. That was the name. It's like
Golden Arches, right? Golden Arches doesn't sound like McDonald's, doesn't. But we all know what it
means, right? And so the word bod, B-A-D, it's kind of ironic. But bod, but bod meant death or
enmity. I'm like, oh my goodness. And so BAD or BAT, they're the same. They're equivalent.
in phonetically speaking.
So bot and bat are the same.
And then the Eos ending at the end is just a people ending.
It's talking about a people group.
Okay.
People something.
So I'm like, oh my goodness.
So I call up this guy who is a true scholar in ancient Sumerian.
I'm like, could I be onto something or am I crazy?
And he's like, no, no, you're definitely onto something
because there's this other loan word that was found in ancient Italy and all this stuff
and stuff. So again, long story short, this is the Hellenized version of Bod. And Bod was one of
the names or the variations of Enlil, which meant death and enmity. And I was like, oh my goodness,
death and enmity. What does it say in Genesis 315? I will cause enmity between you and the woman.
I'll say, oh my goodness, this is crazy.
Yeah.
Right.
Now, again, I know there's a lot of different threads here, but BAD is the name of the logogram,
but the way you would pronounce this was Ugh, Ug, right?
And Ug means death and enmity.
And then when you do something called a reduplication, you double it, Ug, Ug, it actually
comes out Gug, which in the Bible is Gog.
right, Gog and Magog, right?
Ezekiel 38, 39.
That's in book three, all right.
But I was like, oh my goodness, right?
And then Ugh becomes Oog, King Ogh of Bashan, right?
And there's some ancient Ugaritic texts from about 1,300,000 BC.
And they talk about how Mount Hermann was the capital.
It was the Mount Olympia, if you will.
of the ancient world. And they said that there was a god of death who ruled there. And he also had
headquarters Edre and Estorant, which is exactly what the book of Joshua says about King Ogh of Bashan.
So King Ogh of Bashan was named Death. His name was death. You're like, oh my goodness,
you can't make this stuff up, right? I mean, it's just incredible when you start connecting dots.
So then what is that?
So let me, I have a number of questions.
I think the first is, so if we have this Greek word that's found only two places,
and it's written, what, between 800 and 300, 800 BC?
What do they, what kind of knowledge do they have?
And what are they trying to convey here?
Because if it's only in two places and that's the only thing we know about and somebody knew something.
What do they know?
Somebody knew something.
So this is founded a place called Kuntilatajrude, which is on top of the mountain, the top of Mount Hermon.
This is about 9,300 feet above sea level.
And you've got to start at sea level.
Okay.
In Colorado, you know, it's really fun to do 14ers, right?
And there's like a 14-year club, right?
Do you have a picture of the full stone?
I've done a few 14-years myself, but I started at 12,000 feet.
And it was still a trek.
Yes, still 2,000 vertical.
But here, you've got to climb from sea level to 9,000 feet.
Yeah.
That's a major trek.
Yeah.
Right?
That's a huge trek.
Yeah, I can show you the whole stone.
Let me just pull it up really quick.
So basically it just looks like a weird ancient tombstone kind of thing.
Yeah.
So again, you have this stone.
It's obviously very heavy.
They're going to carry it up 9,300 feet.
So they didn't find that on top?
They did find it on top.
No, I mean, they didn't find the stone and then carve it up there.
Well, I don't know where.
Okay.
I don't know where they carved it.
But, yeah, I don't know where they carved it.
So the stone could have originated it from there or they carried it all the way up.
You know, it's a good question.
I don't know.
Yeah.
I couldn't tell you honestly.
But in any event, they thought it was important enough to talk about this on the top of this mountain.
The point is to get to the top of the mountain.
It's a trek.
It's a trek.
Okay.
It's a trek.
Why would you have a temple on top of this kind of random mountain?
Well, so Herman, it's so Hermon, it actually means to take an oath.
And it's been known as the mountain of the oath as long as we can remember.
We see that in the book of Joshua.
It's called the Mountain of the Oath.
Everywhere it's been known as the Mountain of the Oath.
And as I was mentioning in the Ugaritic understanding, the Mountain of the Oath was known
as the mountain where this god of death,
that Melek Mott, or Mavit,
that where he was dwelling there,
and he also had his headquarters in Eshtoat and Ejö,
exactly where it says King Ogh of Bashan was living.
So his name means death,
and this mountain is the mountain of the oath,
but not just an oath,
but it's more like an imprecation,
where you're saying,
if we don't do this may such and such happen to us.
Right?
And that's what, according to this inscription,
that those taking an oath,
who have made an oath according to the,
well, the great and holy God,
if you look at the more modern translation.
But so what I discovered is that it's not the great and holy God,
but it's actually the greatness,
the bull god personified Batios God.
And Batios is a name for Enlil.
And so when they were taking this oath, they were taking an oath in the name of Bad or Enlil.
And that's when they took the oath.
So this gives us the clearest extra-biblical, at least in my opinion, the clearest extra-biblical proof of Satan giving the command for those fallen angels to then take an oath to imprecate themselves to say, if we don't do this, may we all.
you know, get in trouble together, something like that. But we are promising, we are
swearing that we are going to do this thing. And we're going to go and then take women and
beget this race of Nephilim. Can you read the, like, what the stone says, like from
start to finish? Do you know, do we have that? I do. I have it in the book. And I think that
might be the best way. Maybe the easiest way to do it. The old-fashioned way here.
Yeah. So those listening, we're looking at
the stone.
Yeah.
It looks like it's got about seven lines on it, eight lines or so.
So, Katakilevthin, Theu, megistu, vovatu, wavatiu,
who om nun test and tevthen.
All right.
So I had to, so the way that Greek is written is that it's all,
it's written in capital letters, which is a little bit harder to read.
So I had to normalize it for us.
And then figure out where the brakes are, because they just rate everything
together. They don't put breaks. They didn't put breaks in the ancient world. But so once you begin to see
that, you're like, okay, so according to the command of the Megistu, the great god, vo, there's a word
there, vo, voh means bull, which is a little strange, but when you start thinking about the epithets
of the bull, the ancient bull, Baal was sometimes called a bull. Remember Zeus, he came and he stole
a Europa and he raped her, right? And there's a whole thing of, you know,
aropa on the back of a white bull. Yeah. Right, we find that all over the place.
Or the Exodus, we have the golden calf, which we know was that was more likely a bull.
Exactly. Yeah. And then Bashan, isn't that the land of bulls or is it has to do with
doesn't the Bashar? Well, there's, that's a great one. Okay, the bowls of Bashan.
That's what it is, the bulls of Bashan. Yeah. Which is not actually the word, well, it's
different than the word shore, which is a cow, a bull, right? This is the word abirim, abu re
bashan, right? And where does, where do we find that in scripture? In Psalm 22, right? He says the
bulls, the abure bashan have encircled me. All right, so this is where the plot thickens, okay?
Because, all right, so bashan. Bachan means snake dragon. It means snake dragon. All right, so maybe we can
maybe pull my computer up again because I want to show you what Boshan is.
All right.
And I'm going to get to Psalm 22, I promise.
All right.
But we have to.
Did we finish reading it by the way?
Did we finish reading it?
Did we finish reading it?
Oh, no, we didn't.
I'm sorry.
Well, no, I did.
I read it.
Reading again for us.
We have a way to do rail everybody.
We're good at it.
Okay.
This is chapter 8, by the way.
We hit bowl in there in the description.
It's a fun edit, man.
So,
Katta, keelvesin,
Entheu megistu vovatu
who omonontes
in Tevsten.
All right.
So,
according to the command
of the
greatness personified
God,
the bull god,
Batiu,
which is a proper name
in this case,
or an epithet,
where those swearing
an oath go out from here.
That's the basic.
So it's just
a rough translation.
It's an oath
of mutual destruction,
more or less, right?
Yeah.
Yeah, you know, they're affirming that we're going to do this.
We swear we are going to do this no matter what.
So let me put on the glasses here because, you know.
So this is where the British Museum and Nicholsburg, they got a lot correct in their translation.
And I just want to make it really clear.
I do not throw scholars under the bus
because it's a lot of work
to do all this stuff, okay?
And we're all building on each other's work, okay?
Yeah.
So I greatly respect Dr. Nicholsberg
from Harvard University.
But I do think that to translate the word batios
as haggios, I think that's a mistake.
I think, you know,
and I get it because you don't find the word
batios in any Greek lexicon, right?
And I had to dig and dig and dig and dig and dig.
And, you know,
and we're in the age of the internet and all different kinds of stuff.
And so it was much easier to do the research nowadays.
But this is just not a Greek word.
And it's a Sumerian loan word.
That's how it made its way into this inscription.
That's why it was so impossible to translate.
So obviously, who do you think carved a carve this?
Well, I mean, certainly.
The timing is odd too, right, Doug?
Because, I mean, we know this can't be.
This is not like an ancient oath of that, you know.
first he knock book of the watchers descent of 200 this is not it's not contemporary but like what
yeah why is kind of what asked you yeah i mean it's called mountain of the oath and there's an
there's like a history of this mountain it's got a long history all right so we're in basically
the mesapian period this is from 800 bc to about 300 bc uh this is also the era of the phoenicians
right and there was actually a bilingual inscription that was in phoenician
and Greek, and it talks about Melchart in the Phoenician side, and it talks about Heracles on the
Greek side. So Melchart, so going back to Ezekiel 28, where it talks about the king of the city,
we usually interpret that, oh, the human king, no, no. The king of the city was a code word for the
king of the underworld. The city was the underworld.
So Melchart, Melekkrat, the king of the city, was an ancient deity, if you will, according to the mythologies, he was this ancient deity, and he was known as the king of the underworld.
And so he was a god who was worshipped in ancient Phoenicia.
And then on the Greek side, his name was Heracles, which is the god of fame, okay, the god of great standing, essentially.
And I go, wait a second, where do we get this?
this is going to tie us into Nimrod in just a second. Because, and again, I know there's so many threads, right?
But they're fun. You start pulling on it. And then you start pulling on all these other threads, right?
So, yeah, you look at this inscription and then you start understanding, okay, there's all this other stuff that's going on.
And we started this show by talking about the Great Red Dragon. It's all related. That's what's wild.
I mean, there was days when I was writing this book and my head was just exploding because I'm like, oh my goodness, like I can't keep up here. It's hurting, you know? Like, I really my head was hurting because I'm like, Lord, I don't know how to put all these things together. You know, but I just kept tracing the threads until finally, I was like, oh, so we would go from this inscription. We now have this extra biblical confirmation that something weird was happening.
Sure.
All right. So, you know, I can't tell you exactly who are the people that wrote this because I don't know that. I can just tell you that we found it. Okay. I can tell you what it says. And I can tell you that this is in the backyard of Fidisha where they were worshipping Melchart. They were worshipping the god of the underworld. According to the Ugaritic people around 12 to 1400 BC. They said that this mountain was the headquarters of a god of death. All right.
whose name was Melech and then Mote, or sometimes Mout, depending how you want to vocalize that.
But he was the king of death, king Ogh of Bashan.
Ogh literally is coming from the ancient Sumerian Ugh, meaning death.
And then we get to Bashan.
And Bashan means a snake dragon or a dragon snake.
Yeah.
And so if you want to pull this up on my screen, I can show you what,
But a, so this right here is a geoglyph.
And thanks to Derek Gilport for originally pointing this out to me.
This is so cool.
You can pull this up on Google Earth, right?
And just look for Gilgha-Refaim and then zoom out just a little bit.
And you will see just a little bit north there.
And this is about two-thirds of a mile.
That geoglyph of what looks like a snake.
That is a Bashan.
Okay.
Now, Bashan is coming from the Sumerian or Acadian in this case, the word Bashmoo.
So this is the ancient Boschmu.
The ancient Boschmu, again, variations on a theme.
But here, letter C, you can see the one that's kind of standing up or even number two.
They all have that general snake thing.
But they have, notice, they have feet, right?
They have forward feet.
You know, so if we go back to this one, you can see that it's got some eyes.
It looks kind of like here toward its neck or something.
It kind of looked like, sort of looked like feet.
I can't prove that, but that's the general idea.
So the land of Bashan literally has a two-thirds-of-a-mile geoglyph of a Bashan.
Of a dragon.
And Bashan is meaning from the Akkadian Bashmoo, Snake Dragon.
And again, lots of different names for this.
basically mean the same thing. It's some kind of a snake dragon. It's a god of death. It's one of the many
epithets for Enlil. And, you know, I can, I can show you other variations on that. This is a
mush hushu. This was found on the Ishtar Gate in Neo-Babelon. And this is, so a mush
Rishu, a bashmu, they're all just variations on a theme.
And for our listeners that are familiar with the back catalog, this is also this
serpent mound that Doug's talking about as one we've talked about on the show before with
Dr. Judd Burton and Doug Van Dorn is writing a book on this.
But of course, there's great proximity to the wheel of the giants.
And I believe, if I remember correctly, it actually points toward Mount Herman or in that
general direction.
He's in the general direction.
So you have this serpent mound, which we find in the states here.
There's a bunch of them, right?
They're especially in the Ohio Valley.
We've got real famous ones up there.
But you now you have one in Bishon, in the land of the snake dragon, pointing in the
general direction of Mount Hermon and collectively, you know, what are we to make of this, Doug,
when we find this there?
I mean, this is, again, as we're trying to, we unmasked Satan as the dragon in
Revelation. Satan is also, again, to the beginning of the episode, the dragon of which the,
that Ishtar is riding on in our, in our Sumerian and proto-Babolonian stuff. Yeah.
Yeah, well, let's go to the beast for a second, right? Because she's riding on a beast.
Okay, so the beast, this is, and again, another variation here, this is the Mush Hushu.
Notice how he's standing up. Isn't that interesting? Yeah. Right. And in Daniel chapter seven,
he said, I was watching
and I saw a lion
and it was with wings on it
and it was made to stand like a man.
Well, this became a,
this is the lion
standing like a man
with wings on it.
This is exactly the
mythos
of the, whatever the creature
that Daniel was seeing
in his dream.
And this became a symbol
of,
Nimrod.
Or in the ancient world, he's known as
Ninirta, which means Lord of the
Earth. So, Ninirta,
this is where it gets really interesting.
Ninirta was thought to be the
son of Enlil.
And Enl
gave him, he conferred upon him,
the tablet of destinies.
So whoever had the tablet of
destinies had control over
the planet of planet Earth? Do you think these are actual
tablets or just like scroll?
I think it may be more of a
an abstraction. I don't know that there was an actual scroll floating around somewhere.
Just like, I don't think God gave Adam an actual deed.
Yeah.
But he gave him, you know, the keys to the kingdom, as it were, right?
The key to city hall.
Maybe a great mustache. That was it.
Well, that's for sure.
But yeah, I mean, because it's a title, right?
Well, I think some people get triggered at some of this stuff because there's a lot of like the last tablets of Thoth.
Both and all that.
Bill Carson garbage, yeah.
But it's, you know, but I can understand how I think Christians just want to like write out all the weird stuff.
Let me talk about the pre-show.
And I had a quick thought.
You know, obviously everyone's kind of telling a different story from a different perspective in the world, but they're kind of describing Enlo, Satan, dragon.
You feel like the beast imagery of all these different animals kind of stuck together is kind of like he wants to take the image of all these different things.
so everyone will confusingly worship him only.
Is that, is that like an image or am I like reading something into that?
Because it feels like the beast with wings and weird feet and all that is kind of like,
we're all describing the same thing.
And if you put it all together, that's what I think it would look like.
Oh, it was in America it was the plumed, the plum dragon.
Yeah, that's right.
Ketal Kualto.
Yeah, Ketal.
Yeah.
The plume serpent.
Yeah.
It seems like all these, you know, ancient cultures were,
worshipping the same God in essence that...
I think they were.
I really think they were.
This is why understanding who Enlil really was is critically important.
Because, see, Enl never claimed to be the Creator God.
Yeah.
He very brashly says, I usurped the authority from Anu, the Creator God.
Mm-hmm.
Right?
And one of his epithets is that he separated heaven and earth.
And exactly, that's what Satan did, right?
He separated.
Yes.
Because before that, heaven and earth, thinking of the domains of heaven and earth, the realms of heaven and earth, were united.
They were.
God and Adam could walk in the garden with no problem until death entered into the equation.
But before that, heaven and earth were together.
And we know at the end of all things, God is going to put heaven and earth back together.
This is where the veil between heaven and earth is going to pass away.
The sky is going to receive like a scroll, all that imagery.
this is where the heavenly domain and the earthly domain, they come back together.
Yeah.
And I think for listeners, it's like this like the serpent, the dragon, the bull.
There's kind of like, you know, the feathers.
The old dragon of old, right?
Yeah.
Yeah.
There's kind of like this.
It just gets confusing.
It does.
You know, like, I will agree.
Which one?
So we're at Nimrod here and we've got the head in the storyline, right?
Because Doug, we might be the son of.
We know that like from at least the contemporary or the contemporary,
literature at the time, like first Enoch, what it says about this, the 200 Watchers that
descend, and we have the tablet, and we talk about that location being Mount Herman. Satan is
not implicated there, but you argue that that his charge was or his mandate or command
was for them to do what they did, was to take wives, and then we have the flood, right? And then
after the flood, we've got, Satan's still around. It doesn't get judged like the other, like the
watcher angels do. Right. Because he's still.
I think Satan is the master of, you know, Teflon defense.
Like the godfather, right?
Nothing sticks to him, you know.
You can't prove anything.
Yeah.
But we have this third rebellion that we will, as we talked about the three rebellions with Dr. Joel Monomali, we have this third rebellion, which is Babel.
But there's this character, Nimrod, right?
And you brought him up.
But according to that ancient literature, you said he is the son of Enlil as as NNNNN.
Is what we said?
Right.
And so what do we do with that?
Because Genesis 108 says that Nimrod became or became a Gabor.
Somehow he has this change of state.
Yeah, he began to be.
Yeah.
Like, what is up with that?
What does that mean he started to be a Gabor?
Because in Genesis 6, they were born as Gaborian.
Right?
Somehow Nimrod starts becoming a Gabor.
Because we know he has a human father.
presumably a human mother, right?
So how does he change?
And though the text doesn't tell specifically,
this is where we can at least look to the ancient
Near Eastern texts and try to fill in some of the blanks
with caution, of course, right?
Because we always have to remember that the ancient
near Eastern texts are telling everything in reverse.
The good guys are the bad guys, the bad guys are the good guys.
Yeah.
Right.
And just one more thing before I get to it.
So in the ancient world, Enlil, he had this festival called the Akitu Festival.
And it's where they would brashly reenact the slaying of the Creator God.
So the human king would kind of put on his pomp and circumstance and he would play this role where he is slaying the Creator God.
Like, that was their whole idea.
I was like, yeah, we killed you.
So Enlil kills Anu?
Is that in that context?
I mean, again, they understood that they couldn't actually kill him.
No, but that's what they're, they could totally take his authority.
Their cosplay.
Yeah.
Right.
And Enlil is said to have taken the Anu ship.
He took his authority.
And then that became the Enlil ship.
Right.
And so then he confers it upon anybody who he wants.
Now here's a really cool bit of trivia.
The word idols in scripture is the word il-lilin.
Remember I said that in Isaiah 14,
how you fall from heaven, oh, Heel.
He-Lel is a hapaxagloman.
It appears one time in scripture.
If you trace it back to Acadian, it's Illil.
In the plural, it's Elilim.
Right?
So when the Bible's talking about idols,
it's talking about little N-lils, basically.
or elyly, little elials, right?
Eliel, enl, same deal.
Okay.
So it's talking about you're worshipping little anills.
Once you start getting in there, you're like, oh, my goodness, this is just this, this huge battle where Satan is constantly trying to give God the middle finger.
Yeah.
To say, ha, ha, I took your kingdom, you know.
You gave the keys to Adam, and I just took the keys.
What are you going to do about it?
And he becomes the god of the empires, right?
In this case, the prevailing empire is Sumer in Babylon, right?
So he's the, he's the dude.
He's the dude, yeah.
So now we have Nimrod, which feels kind of like a sort of bastardized Christ's story.
Mm-hmm.
And he's giving authority to this hybrid son, so to speak, which we posturalized, like, will happen in the end again.
I mean, how does he become a hybrid, though?
Yeah.
Yeah.
How does that?
Okay.
I don't know exactly the mechanism.
No, but we're going to postulate here.
But here's something that's interesting.
So there was a guy.
We need to know today, Doug.
I know, right?
So there was this guy from Reno, Nevada, who had leukemia.
Biggest little city in the world.
And he had leukemia.
So he gets this German bone marrow donor who gives him the bone marrow.
And a forensics lab is tracing who this guy is.
His name is Chris.
All right.
And he, over a course of several months,
The forensics lab is taking samples of his, of his blood, et cetera.
And they're like, oh, my gosh, you are changing genetically.
You're changing to the DNA of your donor.
That's weird.
They even checked his sperm, and they found that it was that of his donor.
What?
All right?
That's wild.
And Chris is on record saying, this is pretty wild that I can disappear genetically
and somebody else take my place.
Okay.
Okay.
So when you start, you're like, oh, that's really freaky.
Yeah.
How in the world can somebody disappear genetically?
Well, the word in Hebrew, etsem, which is your bone, it also means yourself.
Okay.
So when you talk about yourself, you say, it's me.
That's in Genesis, bone of my bone, flesh of my flesh.
Yeah.
Like, the bone is the most you that there is, right?
And so apparently when you put in somebody else's bone marrow into yourself, you become that person, genetically speaking, at least.
Wow.
Okay.
And there's also people that have had heart transplants.
You've probably heard about these people.
You know, there's one guy that had a heart transplant and suddenly he wanted to start riding motorcycles and drinking beer, you know.
And there was also another girl.
She was about eight.
and she needed a heart transplant
and there was a little girl who was about 10
who had been murdered.
Well, she gets this new heart
and then suddenly she starts having these visions.
And so her mother takes her to a psychiatrist
and they're trying to figure out like,
what in the world's going on.
And she starts describing what's happening
and she's describing how she died.
Right?
And they start piecing it all together.
And the little girl that got the heart transplant
was able to put so many pieces together
that they were able to identify the killer.
Jeez.
Like genetic memory.
Right?
Yeah.
Yeah.
There's something in there.
Well, yeah.
We talk about that.
We talk around that idea all the time.
That's wild.
Yeah.
I mean, like, do you have this?
It's weird.
Your genome, your DNA can remember aspects.
So, yeah.
So here's my theory.
Okay.
I can't prove all this 100%,
but I think it's a decent theory.
Is I think when
when Satan possesses
somebody, given enough time, that's kind of the little, the variation there. If you get given
enough time, then that person actually starts to be transformed. Think about it. When Satan
possessed Judas, what was he called? He was called the son of perdition. Yeah. Interesting. The
son of perdition. Okay. What is the beast, the Antichrist, called? Son of perdition. Right? He's the
Son of destruction. That's literally what his name is. Versus the man of perdition, right? Versus the,
so yeah, he's the offspring of... He's the offspring. Yeah. Yeah. So I suspect that what happened
after the flood, Satan's like, well, I guess we can't do direct implantation. All right. We're going to
go a different route. And he probably came to Nimrod and said, hey, I'll make you a sweet deal.
You know, I'll make you a god. And you will then, you know, have all these amazing things.
powers, et cetera, and then he just possessed him. And that possession probably went on for an extended
long time to where he actually started to transform. His DNA started to transform. Because he
became this. He became. Again, just like our friend Chris from Reno, Nevada, who's doing his
bone marrow, right? He started to become somebody else. He became a German physicist.
Not that. That's when you disappear. Yeah. So you have that. I mean, that's a fact. I mean, that's a
fascinating theory because we know the biblical language is that he became something new.
He transformed into something else.
He began to be a Gabor.
So in the book you make the case that, we've heard this before, but we're not really talked about it at length is that Gilgamesh and Nimrod are one and the same.
Yes.
Unpacked out a little bit for us.
I mean, how do we, because we have, again, we have this biblical narrative and we have the
biblical story. But as we talked about before, we have this mythology, this ancient eros and mythology
that parallels or adds or commentates on the ancient Hebraic story. Yeah. And I have to say the first time
I ever heard this theory that Gilgamesh was in limerad, I'm like, come on, they don't sound anything
similar. But I was only looking at this level, right? There's all this other stuff. We start
unpacking the linguistics of it. And we're not looking for names necessarily. We're looking for epithets.
We're looking for titles.
And once you start understanding titles, you're like, oh, I get it, right?
I mean, we all have different titles.
You know, sometimes it's dad, sometimes it's a friend, sometimes it's boss, right?
Jesus has lots of titles, right?
Well, so does Satan, so does Nimrod.
They have lots of different titles.
So Gilgamesh means ancient hero.
Okay.
He has another title, Pabilsag, which means something of a very similar nature.
or famous hero.
Remember I mentioned Heracles or Hercules?
Famous hero.
Okay.
Famous hero, which then ties it back to Melchart.
In Phoenician, he was known as Melchart, the ancient hero.
And now he's the son of Satan or the son of Enl.
You're like, oh, my goodness.
Right.
And it's not always a clear line.
I mean, sometimes we want to have a really clear, like, well, we start getting into
Greek mythology.
You're like, well, so, okay, so who's related to who?
Like, well, it's not always that clear.
because sometimes these myths, they take weird turns and stuff.
But as best we can do, we try to boil it down to kind of the essence of who we're talking about.
And I think pretty much all roads lead back to Satan or Enlo.
That's my basic thesis.
And I'm not saying that he's every manifestation of evil demons and whatnot, but a lot of them trace right back to him.
Or to Nimrod, some variation thereof.
So Gilgamesh, he's this ancient, this ancient, famous.
is a basic idea of it, probably famous hero, and then Pablo Saga is related, and he was said to be
two-thirds God and one-third man. I don't know how you do thirds. I know when it comes to genetic.
I'm like, okay, but whatever. Hey, they say the same about Sasquatch. He's like three different
parts genetically, but I don't know. You worked it in. Yeah. You worked it. You got to start. You have to. I
It's a cert.
Hey, I'm just saying.
So Gilgamesh was said to be 17 feet or 18 feet tall.
There's actually a statue in the Louvre in Paris of Gilgamesh.
And he's holding a lion like it's a chihuahua.
I'm like, well, that's a big dude.
Yeah.
That's a really, really big dude.
All right.
So it's very likely that Gilgamesh could have been Nimrod.
I don't think Nimrod was his name.
He was a cat guy is what you're saying.
Yes, he was definitely in the cats.
And the cat probably purred.
It's a cat man.
That's why.
That's why he had to go down.
But see, here's the thing that could trip people up.
You're like, well, Nimbril, that's very different.
I don't think that was his given name.
Because what does Nimrod mean?
It means let's rebel.
Yeah.
Who's going to name their kids, let's rebel.
Right.
Even bad guys.
Like a title.
Even bad guys aren't going to name.
Yeah.
They're not going to name, hey, little rebel, right?
Right.
You want your, even if you're a bad guy, you want your son to obey you, you know?
Do you pull from jubilies or anything?
Doesn't jubilee describe a lot of Tower Babylon?
incident. I put a very limited amount of stock in Second Temple literature.
Tim Albrino about the two places the other day. Yeah, I mean, you know, all of that
Second Temple literature, pseudapigrapha is very interesting. It gives us an eye,
gives us an insight into how people in the Second Temple era, the Jews, were thinking about
things. Now, how far we can take that back to being actual history, actual scripture,
I think there's a whole different discussion.
Right.
You know, so I do quote from the book of Jubilee's.
I quote from the book of Enoch.
Yeah.
But I always do it with a caveat that like, hey, this is another voice.
Totally.
You know.
It's like a dirty mirror, but you can still see little pieces.
Yeah.
And I give it maybe just a, I give it a similar amount of credence as I give ancient
near Eastern stuff.
Like this is how people saw the world.
But I don't consider it scripture.
But keep going.
So you said that.
Nimrod, it just basically means he rebelled or they rebelled.
But what does Gilgamesh mean then?
Do we have?
Well, so Gilgamesh probably means the famous hero.
Okay.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And then are they from the same places?
Do they do the same things?
Where do we draw the parallels to these two characters?
Okay.
So this is where it gets cool.
All right.
So Nimrod, if you look at the actual root word, it's Mem Reisch Dalit.
Marad.
Marad means to rebel.
So let's think, do we feel?
find those same root letters in anybody else's name. Oh, yes, we do. We find it in Marduk.
Right. The god of the Amarites, his name was Martu. If you speak Spanish, you know that, you know,
Sunday, Monday, Monday, Martes, right? Domingo lunas, Martes, right? Martes is Martu, which is Mars.
And the word Mars in Latin is not a...
a Latin word. It's a loan word. It's coming from ancient Sumerian. And so, so Martu, Marad, Marduk,
they're all talking about the same rebel, Nimrod, who is Ninhurta. So again, Nen Uerta, you can,
ends and M are sometimes interchangeable, D's and T's are interchangeable. So you can hear that same
route there. Nin Uerta, right, Marad, you hear the same,
basic consonants in that sense. So we're talking about the same guy. So what Ninorta means
Lord of the Earth, that's how he saw himself. And the Bible's like, no, I don't think so, buddy.
You're just the rebel. God is simply giving us who he thinks he is. You know, the Bible's saying,
no, this is who you really are. You're the rebel. You're not Lord of the Earth. You're the
rebel. So once you start unpacking linguistically and understanding epithets and titles and all this
different stuff, you're like, oh, we're probably talking about the same guy. And what's interesting
is when God says to Abraham, know for certain that your descendants will be slaves and in the
fourth generation, I'll take them out because the iniquity of the Ambrates is not yet complete.
You're like, oh, wait, what iniquity? What were they doing? And what do you mean it wasn't complete?
Yeah.
What you mean it wasn't complete?
So it was something in process.
Now, the Amorites, they are later just, it's just a basic title for Nephilim, right?
Yeah.
And the Amorites is a broad term for really weird giant people.
Yeah.
Okay, whether it's Refaim, Zamzumim, Imim, you know, Nephimi, Anakim, right?
They're all just kind of, Amirite becomes a blanket term.
for that kind of species.
And God says the iniquity of the Amrites is not yet complete.
And their god was Martu, who is Marduk or Nimrod or Ninurta.
Interesting.
Oh, okay.
So something was going on.
There was something in process, and they were doing something really bad.
Well, we know the outcome is that by the time the children of visitors come into the land of Canaan,
it's overrun with
King Ogh of Bashan
and others
so they find the giants
the refime etc
the Emirates had their own religion
it was all to the god of death
basically and
but not just the god of death
they were worshipping a god
Martu
who was Nimrod who became a gibor
so I would
postulate that
the iniquity that they were involved
in was was hybridizing themselves i can't tell you the physical mechanism that they did that by
but i i think that they were in some way they were they were but ultimately worshiping the god
of death through nimrod and i think that is sort of obviously a thing that a god would want to do
is have the human version of himself because that's more relatable tangible he becomes an i you know
a legend it's a nephalum story
Yeah, it's a Nephom story.
But this is also a God versus Satan's story, right?
Sure, yeah.
Because, you know, Satan's been eavesdropping.
Oh, what are you going to do through Abraham?
Oh, you're going to have his people come and try to take this land where I've been hanging out?
I don't think so.
It's too early.
And I can't do the whole Genesis 6 thing again.
Right.
So what I'm going to do is I'm going to take humans, standard humans, and they're going to convert themselves.
They're going to transform themselves.
They're going to become like Chris in Reno, Nevada, who,
became something else.
Right. And we know they're giants, right, because we have the tribes and we have
Goliath and his brothers of Gath.
And this isn't the first time we've seen like that, I mean, Nebuchadnezzar grew feathers, right?
And I don't know if he grew feathers, but he certainly became.
He became like a beast of the field.
He became like a beast of the field.
But I mean, so how do you?
Thus, that's the rumor.
So Nimrod becomes a giant.
Yes.
And how tall we think he was?
He said, did you say 18 feet?
Or what did you say?
18 feet.
How do we get there?
Yeah.
Well, are you asking?
me like technically how we got there.
Yeah, how do we go to that measurement?
Like, so if we're thinking about as a giant.
Well, this is from the epic of Gilgamesh.
Okay.
Yeah, that's where I'm getting that number.
From the epic of Gilgamesh.
It was said that he was 18 feet tall and that he was two-thirds God, one-third man.
Is that with the cubit?
I mean, how are we calculating that?
Yeah, I see the cubit probably as 20.63 inches.
Okay.
That was the Egyptian royal cubit.
I got to go to the British Museum and actually look and touch and hold.
An ancient Egyptian really cubit.
What's really cool.
It was 20.63 inches.
Really?
So that's how I see the cubit of the ancient world.
Probably that was the measure that Moses was using when he talked about King Og of Bashan.
Right.
And King Ogre of Bashan, he was probably about 15 feet tall because we're told that his bed was nine cubits.
So 20 times 20 inches, 20.63 inches is about 15.5 feet tall.
It's a big bed.
So it's a big bed.
So, you know, knock off a little bit.
he's between 14 and 15 feet tall.
This guy probably weighed, you know, 2,000 pounds or more.
And, you know, he had a voracious appetite because at that, you know, at that size,
your basal metabolic rate just to stay alive.
You got to eat your BMI.
I calculated, well, you would have needed 12 pizzas just to stay alive, okay?
Sounds like college.
We're 63 cheeseburgers.
College.
You know, or about, you know, a couple.
I'll go today. So he starts to grow into this.
Yeah. Yeah.
Which is interesting because, I mean, we know genetically, Genesis 6, it was more of just
like, obviously they had a transfer of.
Angelic DNA.
Yeah. But this seems to be like a blending of DNA, a little bit different this time,
and yet starts to grow.
Yes.
So there is some mixture between our DNA and angelic DNA and the dragon is an angel.
humans start to grow, get big, giants, you know, just a little different on how that transfer
happens.
Yeah.
Well, and here's what's interesting is that, you know, the skeptics say, well, angels don't have DNA.
Actually, they do, all right?
We go back to Genesis 315.
I will cause enmity between you and the woman between your seat and her seat.
Yeah.
Right.
And I tell you, when I wrote corrupting image volume one, that was my big question.
How in the world can Satan have seed?
It just doesn't make any sense at all.
They came into the daughters of man.
So, I mean.
But here's a cool thing about seed.
That's as seed as it gets, right?
Yeah.
This is a family show.
Sorry, guys.
They knew them biblically speaking.
Yes.
I mean, it says it right there.
I mean, you're like, oh, it does.
Sometimes we're probably a little too prudish about it, right?
It's like, well, it's just kind of virginrys and basic stuff.
Yeah.
The Bible's like, you're, you're an adult.
You can handle it.
Yeah.
I'm not going to spend 20 chapters explaining it to you.
I'm not going to shoot to cut it.
Like this is just.
But Nimark gets worshipped as a God.
Yeah.
And then.
then, I mean, is this the, does he become the blueprint, if you will? I don't want to get ahead
of ourselves, but for like the Antichrist? Is he a prototype? Yes, yes, yes, yes. Absolutely. And I think
what happened with the Amorites being transformed is probably a prototype of the mark of the beast.
Interesting. Yeah. Yeah, let's go to Babel then, because I mean, of course, Nimrod's story is Babel, right?
I mean, what do we, we've talked about this before. Well, to get there out of question. So he,
Satan knows out of the seed, someone's going to come.
There's going to be a human king that's coming.
And he's trying to rush his version of that,
is what you're saying.
Right.
And so he possesses this character.
He starts to grow,
and then he becomes his hybridized son,
in his sense,
and then the Tower of Babel.
And that's where we're at, right?
Yeah, yeah, because we've talked about Babel a few times,
Doug, and I think that, like,
there's this idea, this Sunday school idea
that, like, man, they just made this too tall of a building,
you know,
and they were going to climb this big skyscraper, ancient skyscraper, and have war.
And war with God.
But we've talked about it differently here.
The idea of like the top of the zygorod is this place of magic, sex magic, if you will.
The deity would come to this room at the top.
Like an artificial Ian, artificial Sinai.
Yeah, it's like a portal, really, right?
Exactly.
So what do you, yeah.
You read the book on this, Doug.
Walk us to Babel and what you believe was going on based on,
being an expert on the ancient Near East and the language.
I mean, this becomes an allegory for human pride,
and we understand there's this moralistic teaching to this,
like a lot of the Bible, you can take this moralistic theism to it.
Like, you know, your pride is your fall.
You think you're better than God or you're not, right?
But what do we think is actually happening?
And all that is real, right?
But there's underlying, you know, boots on the ground kind of stuff, right?
Whoever hits the road.
So, you know, I mentioned that a lot of times the Bible is not giving us the actual
name of something. It's giving us the description. Sure. So we often, we often, you know,
and the Bible says that this is where the tongues were confused and became known as Babylon,
this place of confusion. And so a lot of people think that, well, Babylon means confusion. It doesn't
though. Babel, Bob El, actually literally means gate of the gods. Later on and later Neo-Babalonian
it becomes Bab Ilion, so the gates of the gate of the gods. So same thing. And and then later,
it's known as confusion because that's where the languages were confused.
And so then Babylon became associated with confusion.
And that's how we could make that connection.
Just like if you were to go to Chernobyl, right?
Chironobo doesn't mean nuclear disaster, but that's what it means today.
Yeah, you have a Chernobyl event.
You're like, yeah, you're like, oh, I'm not thinking, oh, a nice place to raise your kids.
I'm thinking that's where the worst nuclear disaster ever happened, right?
And by the way, the wolves are cancer resistant now.
That's a whole other thing.
That's another episode.
Oh, yes.
I know.
There's a whole bunch of stuff funny.
So Babylon was the gate of the gods.
And as you were saying, it's 100% correct.
The ziggurat was the connection point between heaven and earth.
And what's amazing, remember when Jacob goes out and he has his dream and there's this ladder
in his dream?
And then later in the book of John, Jesus says,
that you will see the son of man and angels ascending and descending upon him.
So Jesus is saying, I am the latter.
I'm the connection point.
But in the ancient world, Enlil said that he was the connection point.
Of course.
He was the one that was bridging heaven and earth.
And to be fair, he wasn't exactly lying.
Basically, if you wanted something done in the spiritual realm, there's a one-stop shop.
It's NLL's shop.
You got to go to him because he holds a tablet of destinies.
Right?
He's the go-to guy.
And we can talk about the creator god, which we, you know, the God of the Bible.
Yeah, he's around, but he's kind of out of commission, you know?
You want something done?
You got to go through me.
Yeah.
Because I hold all the cards.
And that's not exactly untrue.
It was a little perverted, but it wasn't entirely untrue.
So in the ancient world,
the gate of the gods was this place where you weren't trying to make a, you know, a new
Burj Khalifa and get even taller. It wasn't about the height necessarily. It was thought to be this,
this portal. That's essentially what it was. They were trying to create a portal, a connection.
So the gate of the gods, what does the gate do? Well, something comes through it, right? So the
gods could come through into this domain. That was the basic idea of the gate of the gate
the gods so that they could have a portal into this dimension. And whether it's through some kind of
weird sex magic or however they were doing that, I don't know all the mechanics, spiritually
speaking, but they understood something. Now, what's interesting is we start to unpack things
from a more scientific point of view. You know, we have Einstein Rosenbridges. Yeah. Yeah.
You know, we have wormholes. We're starting to discover all kinds of weird.
stuff. In fact, there's even, you know, some of the earlier iterations of quantum computers,
they were saying that we're going to somehow reach into this other domain and take resources
from this other domain. And quantum computers are... That's what quantum computing does.
They're kind of wild. Yeah, it dumps data into another dimension and then it pulls it back out.
Yeah. Once the people were saying they're doing with CERN, CERN is a modern tower battle.
You know, and again, it's a very complex issue. It's to be fair, right? Sure. But there's some really
weird stuff happening. Yeah, I don't know. Right. There's a lot of weird stuff happening.
But this, but this giant hunter demigod, they're trying to open a portal, if you will.
Yeah. Are they trying to get their gods to come through? The Bible says they're trying to
war with, with Yahweh, right? They were trying to create this. We know at one point the gate is going
to open. So it's working. That's why God stops it. If it doesn't, this is the whole thing
we talk about on the show, Nate, if it's like, don't do sorcery, don't do necromancy.
Don't do these things. It's not because these things are, well, it aren't real.
because they do work.
They do work.
Yeah.
100%.
Well, I know they were building them over.
You know, obviously they were building these types of pyramid structures all over the world,
but some people suggest that it's also a connection to the underworld as well as, you know, kind of a
100%.
So are they bringing stuff up from the bottom and then trying to break into heaven?
Are they doing both?
Well.
You think?
I mean, yeah, to break into heaven, I think that is going to be part of the story.
Sure.
Daniel chapter 8 talks about the beast and he's going to ascend.
into, you know, to have this war with the prince of the host, which Revelation 12 tells us that
he's going to ascend and have a battle with Michael. But I think that's a little bit further down
story. Okay. But at this point, I think that the whole goal was to try to get, you know,
Satan and company to give them access again. All right. So something important we have to
understand is that so before the, before the fall, God and
Adam could just hang out together.
There was no problem whatsoever.
After the fall, God Adam cannot hang out together.
And the answer is really simple.
The Bible says that God is a consuming fire.
You ever gotten burned? I've gotten burned.
Yeah.
It's very unpleasant.
And I don't like to get too close to fire.
I like fire because I need the warmth.
I need the energy, but I don't want to get too close to fire.
Yeah.
Because it'll kill me.
It'll burn me and scorch me.
So that's who God is.
God is a consuming fire.
And in this body, I can't
get too close to him. But in the body that Adam had, no problem. Right? And the bodies were going to have
no problem. So in the meantime, God has put a veil between heaven and earth. Some of the
euphologists call it the cosmic curtain. Some call it the thin psychical dimensional membrane.
But there's something between our domain and the other domain. And that's essentially what
the fallen
we're trying to get through.
Now, for a good angel,
it seems that they can come anytime they want.
There's no limitation to that.
But for the bad guys,
it seems that God puts some
kind of a safety mechanism.
Right? You know, there's a
limiter. You can't go through this.
Except by
invitation and some kind of
power source, which is probably blood,
unfortunately. Right?
So there has to be some kind of a sex magic
or ritualistic type thing, some cult thing.
Yeah, bloodletting.
And that gets into a very dark, very dark territory, right?
But it's real, unfortunately.
And, you know, so I think they are able to come through at a limited basis.
But what the Tower of Babel was apparently attempting to do was to bridge that
so that there could be a regular highway, a portal between the two.
Hmm.
Yeah.
You're going to try and open the abyss?
I do think they're trying to open the abyss.
So yeah, I was going to go to Revelation chapter 9.
Yeah, that's where I was headed.
And this is exactly what's going to happen.
All right.
And my goodness, there's an incredible story here as well.
So the Fifth Angel Blue is Trump and I saw a star that had fallen from heaven to earth.
The key to the shaft of the abyss was given to him.
He opened the shaft of the abyss and smoke came out and you got all these really scary creatures.
All right.
So the opening of the abyss, where do we find something like this in Scripture besides Revelation
Chapter 9?
Well, it's when Jesus takes his disciples on this really weird field trip.
Hey, let's go to Vegas, boys.
Why would you take your guys to Vegas?
Yeah, yeah.
Like, they went to Caesarea Philippi.
That was Vegas of the ancient world, probably worse.
They had all kinds of temples to gods, and they had.
sexual rights and all kinds of weird stuff happening.
Yeah.
And by the way, where is the base of Mount Herman?
His base of Mount Herman.
Exactly.
Right?
Right.
And so then six days later, it says that Jesus took his disciples up to a very high
mountain and there he was transfigured before them and Moses and Enoch showed up.
Well, that's at the top of Mount Herman.
Yeah.
And we've already talked about Mount Herman.
What happened there?
That's where the fallen came down.
Right?
That's where we found the inscription is at the top of Mount Hermann.
This has been known as the Mountain of the Oath for as long as we can remember.
And so Jesus says that the gates of Hades will not prevail against my ecclesia.
Right.
Church is certainly a translation, but my cold out, my Keila, whatever.
The gate of Hades will not prevail.
Now, the church typically has understood this, that
you know, we, the church, we're going to go up and try to take the gates of Hades.
You know, we're going to wage an assault on them.
But that's not what it's talking about.
And that's not what the first century Jewish apocalyptic believed either.
They thought that the gates of Hades were going to fling wide open and that hordes of scary creatures were going to come out shooting their arrows, exactly like it says in Revelation chapter 9.
All right.
So what Jesus was doing is he was.
was putting Satan on notice, he's like, I know what you got planned and it's not going to happen
until Revelation chapter 9. When Revelation 9 happens, then it will happen. But not at that time.
Jesus put the kibosh on it. He came and said, you know what? I know what you got planned.
And understand that when he said that, the world was still under the auspices, under the
authority of Satan.
And so then Jesus had to go on this covert mission to get us out of the pickle that
we were in, where Satan held the keys of death and Hades.
And what does he say after he's resurrected?
Hey, look, I got the key of death and Hades, right?
You're like, oh, my goodness.
He had to come and buy it back, but do it covertly.
He couldn't just come and announce the thing.
Right.
Yeah.
Otherwise, Satan would have known the plan, and he would ever would have put Jesus on the cross.
It never would have crucified him.
talked about that a little bit in our theological,
stranger theology thing, that
it feels like a military strategy when he goes on Mount Herman
because he only takes a few people. Right. And then there's
like, you know, these other dead guys that show up and he's
like, well, hey, maybe. And he talks to them specifically. And I think there's
some kind of, okay, it's happening. Yeah.
And I need you to go this. I need you to do this.
Exactly. And, you know, remember?
Because he's got to get those keys. And World War II before D-Day.
They had all kinds of inflatable tanks that they were putting up along the coast of England.
And why were they doing that?
Well, to throw off the Nazis, because the Nazis knew that an invasion was coming, but they didn't know where.
And so they wanted to look like it was Pad de Calais instead of Normandy Beach.
And the British pulled it off.
They did it so successfully, and they put out so much disinformation that the Germans were convinced that it had to be at Pad de Calais.
but of course that's not where it happened.
And I think that's what Jesus was doing with Peter, James, and John, and then Moses and
Elijah show up.
They all transfigure.
And, oh, my goodness.
All right, we did say we're going to get back to Psalm 22.
Yeah.
I promise you, that's so cool, all right?
But, okay, let me go to Psalm 68, because this is where the pieces really start coming together
in just these epic kind of ways.
So in Psalm 68, right?
Look at this. Mount Bashan, there's that word again, which is Herman.
Mount Bashan is God's towering mountain. Mount Bashan is a mountain of many peaks.
Why gazeeth envy you mountains of peaks at the mountain God desired it for his dwelling?
The Lord will live here.
God's chariots are 10, thousands, thousands and thousands.
The Lord is among them in the sanctuary when he was at Sinai.
And then it says, you ascended to the heights, taking away captives, received gifts from people,
even from their bellies, so that the Lord God might live there.
Of course, Paul quotes that when saying that Jesus took, you know, he took the spirits that were invited, et cetera.
And then, but this mountain, the mountain of Bashan is Mount Hermann.
So when Jesus took Peter, James and John, to a very high mountain, that was the top of Mount Hermon, 9,300 feet above sea level.
That's where Kuntilataj Rood was.
That's where they found the inscription.
This is where the watchers had come down back in the days of Noah.
And now he's got Moses and Elijah showing up.
I think Satan was peeing his pants, honestly.
I think he was like, oh, my goodness, today is the day of the Lord.
Like this is it.
This is the battle now starting.
Right.
It's now starting right here.
And I think he's like, oh, he's sweating.
He's like, what do I do?
you know, and I think Jesus is trying to throw him off track.
And we see him go into high gear after this, right?
He himself is going to personally, he's going to possess Judas, right?
The book of Luke says that he entered Judas.
Yeah.
Right.
And so we know that, according to the book of John, it talks about how, you know, Satan had filled Judas.
And so Jesus, so Pete, excuse me, Satan.
is at the last supper, is at Passover.
Isn't that wild to think about that?
Right?
And so when Jesus looks at Judas and says,
go do what you must do quickly,
so he's possessed.
Yeah.
He's filled with Satan.
And he's known as a son of perdition.
Right?
He's known as a son of perdition.
All these things are happening.
Which is a Nimrod.
Exactly.
Exactly.
Yeah.
It's the same spirit.
It's the same basic procedure that happened before.
And so then, all right, so I want to get back to Psalm 22, because I want to make sure that we close this one up.
All right.
So he says, many bulls have surrounded me strong ones of Bashan and Sorkhumi.
So the Hebrew here is Abiré bashan.
It's strong ones.
So Abiray or Abirim is also used in Psalm 78 when it talks about men ate the bread of angels.
that's the word abirin.
Mm-hmm.
All right.
So, yeah, they were angels.
Right.
But they weren't just, you know, little cute cherubs, right?
These were, these were mighty bullish, bull-like beings.
And we talked about how the whole idea of a bull, mighty bulls have surrounded me.
This all goes back to Satan.
It goes back to these various manifestations that we've seen of him.
Goes back to Enlil.
So now Satan went into high gear.
He puts Jesus on the cross.
And King David is able to record in this spirit.
He's able to see what's really happening.
Jesus is on the cross and the spiritual entities,
the ones that came from Bashan from Mount Hermon
that he had been saying,
I'm going to defeat all you guys instead of.
And now he's on the cross.
and they're circling him, right?
The humans are saying,
you could save others, save yourself,
and the spirits are saying,
you who would crush our head,
you who would defeat death,
you came here as the Messiah
to try to save your people,
and look at you now.
Yeah.
Look at you now.
Now you're going to become part of our kingdom.
Now you're going to go down to the depths
of the underworld, the city,
death, shahel.
You're going to be part of our deal.
And in so doing,
they thought they were winning.
And, you know, it was no laughing matter, but I suppose there may have been a twinkle in Jesus's eye thinking, oh, this hurts.
But in just a moment, I'm going to be taking those keys, man.
You say in Lo was the understood to be the king of the underworld.
So it was kind of like this, I mean, also this idea that like now you will be in my kingdom.
You're under my authority.
Not only here where I have the deed, but also.
And I think it's Jesus like not to be.
so fast, my friend. Right. Right. So this right here is, this is called a kuduru stone, also found in the
British Museum. A kuduru stone was a stone that you'd put underneath your mantle, under your
threshold, right? So every time you'd walk over it, there would be, whatever blessing or curse
was on this stone. And so the whole idea was to kind of bless a home so bad guys wouldn't come in.
But this is Nergal. Nargal, the king of the underworld, another name for
Ninorta. I know. He's got a lot of names. But he was the god of death. And look what, look at this thing.
It's a little bit hard to see. I know that. But he's got a man's head. Behind him, there's a lion's head.
He has a bow. He's got wings. He has a scorpion's tail. And he has a serpent head phallus.
Okay. And you can't quite see in this one that I've shown it in other ones. But he also
has Eagles Talons.
He's got the Eagles Talons.
So now what was confusing me when I
was studying Revelation 9,
I'm thinking, okay, are there two different
things coming out, or is it one horde
of 200 million?
But they seem different over here.
And I did a whole graph
and I put it together. And I'm like,
I think they're the same. I think actually if you
overlay the fifth trumpet and the sixth
trumpet, they're talking about the same thing.
And so when I did that,
then I went trying to
find if I could find any ancient manifestation of that. And voila, I found this. And I'm like,
oh my goodness, this is 100% on the money. This is exactly what John saw. Right. So the ancient
people were expecting, you know, hordes of these things to come flooding out. So when it says that the
gates of Hades will not prevail, they were thinking that the gates of Hades were going to open up
and that these scary creatures were going to come out.
And incidentally, the gates of Hades,
where Jesus took his disciples,
Caesarea Philippi,
there was this underwater spring.
Of course, all springs are underwater, right?
But there's this subterranean water that was coming up.
And they didn't know how deep it was.
They thought it was so deep, right?
They tried to measure how deep it was,
and it was just crazy deep.
And so they would throw things into there,
thinking that it was a portal to the underworld,
to the Hades.
And so Jesus is making a very clear statement.
Once you understand the different pieces, you're like, oh, my goodness, Jesus is putting them
on notice.
Those gates aren't going to open today.
Those aren't going to open at this time.
Not yet.
And so that's why he shuts down Babel, right?
Yeah.
Because they're trying to open and let these things out so they can war with God.
Exactly.
Right.
And Revelation 9 tells us that eventually they're going to succeed in that.
But his timing is.
it's in the timing of prophecy, right?
Exactly.
Yeah, and then it'll be for a very short period,
which is good news for the rest of us.
Yeah.
Right.
So eventually they will open.
But, yeah, they were trying to open them at Babylon.
And God says, nope.
And so he confuses the languages.
And everyone goes their merry way.
Try again at the time of Jesus.
Satan's planning on open them.
And Jesus is, uh-uh, not going to happen.
Right?
And then he ends up on the cross and we know the story, right?
but he saves us from the death in Hades.
He gets the keys over them.
And why do you feel like so many people have an adverse reaction to like a final revelation?
Like this story, a lot of Christians interpret it like.
And then after the crucifixion, it just kind of ends.
And we're just kind of hanging out, waiting.
And it just feels like until then you see this crescendo building, you see this story building,
you see these themes, these characters, and then it's interesting that a lot of Christians
will just think that it all kind of stopped, even though we, behind the scenes, on our show,
there's all these different beasts that are coming out.
We started talking about them, and then obviously blurry creatures, and then the UFO activity's
picking up, and there's, it just seems like it's ramping up to a story that's already
happened before, and it's revealing, it's revealing, and then there will be a final
a final new nimrod, so speak.
And I understand that that feels kind of like doom and gloom and people say,
oh, you have end time theology and this and that.
And I'm like, well, nobody agrees on that, really.
But we do know that like the story can't just,
it would make no sense if it didn't,
the themes aren't hidden within kind of the events that are rolling out through history again.
So what do you think is the best way of view all of it?
Yeah, so in 2010, there were some Chilean miners that got trapped.
They got trapped in that mine, right?
They're 2,300 feet underground.
They were stuck for 69 days altogether.
And that must have been a really scary experience, right?
There they are.
They're stuck.
It's dark.
They have very little food.
Seems like certain death.
And certainly, they were encased in a tomb.
But after 17 days, they were able to bore a hole down there.
They were able to restore communication, you know, get some basic sustenance.
for these guys.
You know, they were even able to get a cable down there so they could watch football,
you know, football.
And, you know, but their hope was that, hey, we're going to be saved.
But they had to keep living their lives.
They had to endure.
And so that's kind of a little microcosmic picture of where we are.
We are stuck in this tomb underground.
And, you know, a few people have risen up or entity, Satan.
He's like, I kind of like this tomb.
You know, I get to be the king down here.
And I don't want us to be rescued.
And so you can have, you can keep your hope about all that stuff.
But if anybody tries to come and rescue, we're going to fight.
Right.
And then he brainwashes us so that when the, when the hero does come to try to save us, we're resisting him.
And I think when people, you know, they get to the cross, Jesus saved me, and that's, that's enough.
Okay.
I mean, that's a pretty cool part of the story.
Yeah. But that's not the end. This is not the end. This, this world as it is, is not the end. And yes, we're supposed to be living our lives. We're stuck in that tomb. We're stuck in that mine. And we're, we're, you know, we're 17 days in. And now they've sent a communication line. We're like, see, it's good. Like, well, that's not the end of the story. Yeah, yeah. There's hope. There's great hope. And we're not starving like we were. And we can live a.
okay existence down here because they're giving us stuff from above,
but I don't want to stay down here.
I don't want to stay stuck in the darkness.
And that's where I think people lose the storyline,
is that our God is a God of love.
The goal has always been, it's never changed,
for God and man to walk in the garden together.
That's always been the goal.
Yeah.
That's always been the goal.
And he's the same God yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
He has not changed.
It's always been a love story.
And sometimes I don't know, we let our theologies get the best of us.
Sometimes we just get off track.
We lose the storyline for one reason or another.
And, you know, I mean, I get it.
There are some weird things that are in the Bible.
And sometimes people do weird things with the Bible.
Yeah.
So we have to be careful.
And I understand the backlash.
But I think if we can detach ourselves from the emotion of it and just say, okay,
what does the Bible really say?
You know, and I also think sometimes we've shot ourselves in the foot because I've,
I've gone to skeptics meetings.
There's one in Southern California called Backyard Skeptics.
And it was like a church service, you know?
Like they were all getting up, giving their testimony.
I was raised in the church, and I used to believe in Jesus.
And then I went and asked a question.
I asked about the flood or I asked about, you know, the giants.
And people just shot me down and said, don't worry about that stuff.
You don't need to believe any of that stuff.
And, you know, that's why your guys is show, and the reason I write my books is so that we can help people see it's not just weirdness.
Yet there are weird things in the Bible.
But when we actually take those into the story, we now have a completed picture.
We have a consistent picture.
Even if we don't have all the puzzle pieces, we still have a consistent picture of where the pieces fit.
And I think that's incredibly important.
Yeah.
And, you know, and so sometimes we have, you know, I mean, you guys know what's happened with the whole Nephilim thing.
Right.
You know, it's exploded.
But way back in the day, you know, John Kelvin said, oh, no, no reasonable person would ever come to these conclusions.
It was, you know, the most prodigious of men.
Yeah.
I can't believe that they were thought this.
And then, you know, Augustine kind of got itself on the wrong foot as well and, et cetera.
And so it was very much not in vogue to believe in.
giants and fallen angels.
In fact, it could even cost you your life if you believe that.
And so we're just kind of at the tail end of where there's been a lot of confusion.
There's some bad teaching, just ignoring major chunks of the Bible.
And so now people are just like, I don't know what to think.
I'm just going to stick with Jesus and leave it there.
And, you know, I think that there's some sort of, you know, modern day paranormal experiences
help unlock ancient paranormal experiences.
You can kind of realize it's not really where.
where we live and Satan, I think, gets us to sit in a bubble ourselves, a different type of bubble
where nothing, nothing, just like in the nothingness, like, this is all just materialism,
and we're just kind of, we live and we die and we eat, and that's it, right? And I think that
when you talk to modern day people who've had these paranormal experiences, you go, I can trust
Genesis 6, I can trust Tower Babel, I can trust, you know, like David and Goliath, I can, you know,
these stories that like the skeptics hanging out at the backyard are like they just don't realize
it in everyone away. It's always been weird. It's always been strange. And this whole thing is
is a mystery in that regard. What I love about this, Doug, is that we are looking at this archetype
or this blueprint, right? We're unpacking Satan as these masks in unmasking him in the ancient
times. And we're talking about Nimrod and this prototype for the Antichrist. Because
if we're to believe prophecy and believe our Bibles, it's coming again, right? And, and that's what, so we're going to do this again with you. And I'm excited to get to that because we're looking at, we're going to look at the end. Like, we're going to get into singularity. We're going to get into UFO disclosure because I don't think we can, again, it's the old idiom. If you, you know, if you don't understand history, you're doomed to repeat it, right? But I think we're, if we look at the Bible, we can understand the way this blueprint has worked before and we can overlay it in our time and say, okay,
here's what we can expect with any kind of reason,
especially because there's nothing new under the sun.
And the deceptions are just being remarked and rewrapped and re-given to us
by the same entity, call them in-lil or Satan or whatever,
it's coming down the pike again.
And a lot of Christians want to wholesale reject this,
or they want to fight about semantics or timetables
or what your eschatology is,
but regardless of where you land on any of that, it's coming.
And so that'll be getting into sort of volume three of your book.
I'm excited to get there.
But let's land this one.
So Doug, of course, you're a pastor.
You've written three volumes of corrupting the image.
Where can anybody find your work, your books, if they want to come to your church?
Where can they find what you're working on and what you're doing?
I know there's more books coming out.
You tease that.
But somebody where they can find.
Well, you can find me on Amazon, of course.
Just look up Douglas Hamp.
Also, douglasham.com.
Or you can find me.
And if people are in the Denver area and encourage them to come join us at the Way congregation,
You can find us at the waycongregation.com.
And so we always have a good time.
Every Shabbat, we celebrate the Lord and, you know, it's a good time.
So it's really wonderful.
That's awesome.
We celebrate the feasts and just celebrate a Passover, I mean, Pentecost, excuse me.
It was fantastic.
And love it, Doug.
Thanks, Doug.
Thanks for being one of those.
Thank you.
Those unicorns out there that knows all the blurry history,
but still as a pastor in trying to put like some practicality to it all.
Like we can keep going and not just staying weird forever.
Yeah, and then that stamps some meaning to it.
I like the way you landed it.
It's just like all these things happen.
We can look at all the history and the names and the stories and the mythology.

And here's why it should matter to you, right?
Like, that's all fascinating to go down.
Stick around for part three.
It's coming.
That's right.
Let's do it.
