We are back up and Adam the Bob does sports podcast.
The boys are scattered all over the place.
I'm coming from LBI, Joey D. Man in the Four in Jupiter and Pop.
Long stay in Ph.P. will not be with us today.
And Binyam and en route to New York will not be with us today.
So it's the three boys here today.
Fellas, how are we?
We're good.
We're good.
We're we're scattered, like you said.
So next week we got a big trip.
Breezy invitation on New York.
It'll be good to get the crew back because it feels like the show's been on the road, man.
And, you know, it's like we've said since I think the last round of golf we played was Bob, when you hit your home one, I was trying to think about it the other day.
We haven't played a round of golf in, it feels like forever.
It's crazy.
Like it's wild.
I wanted to use the clubs that Calloway got me the, those new black.
black irons.
You got those?
They didn't have any lefties.
They didn't have any lefties.
You know what, dude.
I'm so sick and tired of getting, although I did get the tactical driver.
I got the tactical driver.
Are you serious?
Well, I'm not, I don't know.
Ferg said they only made like three prototypes for lefties.
And I got, I got one of them.
He was like, he was like, you know what?
I got to make sure I get you something because I feel so bad.
Well, you know, it is, it really is. In golf, it really is. It's so unfortunate. Like,
you go into any golf store and I understand that golfie, like lefty golfing, lefty golfers are, you know, at a premium.
But you go into a golf store and you'll go, for example, to find a putter and you'll have like 500 righty putters.
And then the like the left, left handed putter section, it's like the step sister of golf.
It's like you got 10. You got to choose.
one of those and God forbid if you don't like any
those you're kind of fucked. It's
it really is. It's unbelievable.
Well, I tell you what, Joe.
Discrimination to be honest. As we all know,
as we all know, it's your birthday
while we're in New York. And I think
I think it's the right thing for Calaway
to do to start making some of the more
of these lefty clubs for your birthday
in honor of you. Yeah. I mean
Do you know what though, Bob? What do you
get the man that has it all?
Oh, shut up, Bob.
This guy's such an idiot.
that has it all, you know?
I really, I really, I really, I really, I really, I really bang myself by getting Perez the sauna,
because now I really got to step something up for Joe.
No, I don't expect.
No, I don't.
All I want for my birthday, and I'm getting older now, I'm, I'm, I'm two years removed from 40 now.
And, you know, it's now that I'm getting up there a little long of the tooth.
I don't need anything.
Like, I don't want birthday gifts.
I don't want Christmas gifts.
I just want to go in New York for a nice dinner on my birthday with the boys.
You know, I have a little Vino, I have a cocktail or two, shoot the shit.
And that to me is worth everything.
That is better than any gift, any sauna for sure.
Then, you know, I don't need any of that stuff.
I just, those are the best times to me.
Like, those are the best, best times.
When I look back at our times in L.A., and like,
Like everything we did and how long we were there.
But times that stand out the most are like the dinners.
You know, they're going to the,
renting out the private room, you know,
and going up there with showtime and the guys or go and Bob.
Remember when we had like our longstanding like reservation stint
where we went to a different restaurant and we were trying to get it comped for like a week
straight.
Like those are the best moments.
To me, that is ideal.
And I miss the crew.
I actually,
I saw Jet two,
three days ago, guys looked as happy as I've ever seen.
Maybe because he hasn't seen any of us.
Oh my God.
We went to Lewis Steakhouse.
The guy was in his glory.
I got there.
He had an espresso martini on the table.
I'm like, who is this guy?
And he looked so happy, but it was great to see him.
But aside from that, I haven't seen Pop.
I haven't seen Perez.
And it seems like forever.
I've seen you, Bob, but then we've been kind of on the go as well.
So it'll be nice to get the crew together, you know, get everybody going in New York.
Jeff even like Jet would be begging me to stream.
Like he would call me every morning in the series.
Like we're streaming today.
I'm like, damn.
Like I like this out of you a lot.
I do know.
I don't know how he is today because I do know I think he put a bag on Rory.
And well, we all saw how that turned out yesterday.
My God, man.
Unbelievable.
I couldn't believe he missed two puts in three holes that were within three feet.
And then I saw a stat line.
that he had made like 460-something pots within 3 feet.
Oh, my God.
You imagine how bad he felt?
Oh, my goodness.
You know what?
A lot of people, oh, yeah, well, Jed texted me in the morning.
I didn't even ask him for a pick.
He's like, I got two guys for you and two guys only.
He's like, I got Pavone and I got Rory.
Pavone was nowhere to be found.
Pabone was nowhere to be found.
Didn't even ask him for it.
But yeah, you saw it was interesting
watching Rory watch Bryson finish out
and then Rory had just left
and it had to be so hard to go to the media.
I don't really fault Rory for that at all.
But should he have stayed and congratulated Bryson at least?
I mean, I think that would have been the right thing to do.
You saw Bryson do it when he won.
when he lost by one stroke, the PGA to Shofley,
he went right up to him before he was leaving and he congratulated him,
which I thought was world class.
So I don't know.
I obviously he was devastated and I don't think he's been that close to win in a major in some time.
But I mean, my goodness, it's just, it's unbelievable.
And talk about a guy Bryson who's changed his entire image.
I heard he stayed three hours after winning and signed every kid's,
autograph, talk to everybody.
He's really becoming like the people's guy.
And it's great to see because he's like, you know, in our world and YouTube too.
So it kind of, it really, it's beneficial for everybody.
It's really, it's really awesome to see.
That NBC broadcast was loving him, man.
They had nothing but glowing things to say about him.
At one point, they were comparing his swing to Jack Nicholas.
I thought that was taking it a little far.
But yeah, they were, say what you want about that broadcast.
they were just loving on him, man.
And to be honest, Rory missed that putt.
And then at the end, when Bryson kind of hit that shot off that route
and he couldn't hit the tree right there,
and he found himself in that bunker,
I was like, oh, my God, we're going to a playoff.
This is going to be amazing.
And then he just had one of the greatest up and downs I've seen maybe ever in my life.
It was awesome to watch.
It was great.
I think it's saying a lot of times.
Go ahead, Bob.
No, a lot of times they say like how hard the course is going to play and then you choose, you see them and they're like 15 or like 20 under.
I've never seen guys struggle like that.
Like I've never seen guys miss that many fairways on tour.
It was, I mean, you could tell it was really, really challenging for them.
But God, was that fun to watch.
Well, you guys played Pinehurst too.
I was just going to say, we played.
We played number two.
and actually Bob played out of his mind well that trip on that course.
But yeah, where the fuck did that come from?
I don't know.
But that course, it's like taking a, it's like imagine taking a bowl and turning it
upside down and that's what the greens are like.
Like if you don't hit the middle of the green and have some spin on it, if it's coming in hot,
it will just roll off the back or if you get it too close and it hits the front, it rolls
off the front.
and some of the holes are positioned in a way that the bunkers and stuff are there.
So you'll hit the green and then somehow you're in a bunker in a terrible lie.
It's really tough and it's really challenging.
So I can't even imagine we played in normal conditions.
Then you add in how fast they had the greens going and then how long the holes were.
They had like 520 yard par fours.
So you got to imagine your second shot, you can't just trickle it up to the green.
You've got to land it.
I mean, it's, it was, it was truly, uh, interesting to watch stuff.
Like, like Bob said, some of them struggle, but I knew going into it, I'm like,
that course is going to be a bitch.
It really is.
And by the way, that's where we met Perez.
That's where everything kind of started.
Pioneer's number two.
We got a great blow up from Joey D on that course, too.
I mean, it was like third or four.
Yeah.
It was a blow up.
On two, on Biner's due.
It came in early.
Well, that was number four.
when the starter told me where to hit on the first ball.
Let me tell you something.
We're starting off our round.
Piner's number four.
You know, the starter gives you the whole shebang, the whole spiel.
He goes, you want to hit it right over there between those two pine trees.
It'll trickle on it.
I'm telling you, Pop, and this doesn't happen often.
I hit it perfectly where this guy told me to hit, and the ball was gone.
and I could not fathom.
I could not in my mind understand how I could hit a perfect shot where he told me perfectly to hit
and that the ball was just gone.
So I kept looking for the ball.
Back nine, Chuck and Bob proceed to go to the green and put off and start going to the next hole.
And I'm still looking for my ball on the first hole.
That round was over.
I was done mentally after that.
first shot. Now, were you looking for so long that it was like not courteous of them? Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah.
Or should they have gone because you were looking for that one? No, they had every right to go.
I was an obnoxious long, an obnoxiously long time for me to look at my ball. You're talking about
probably the quickest collapse of golf in history. It was a drive that I thought was perfect and then it was
gone. And then the game was gone. And I could not let it go for about four holes. And I,
I think after that fourth whole stretch I was down.
I was like plus 12.
I was,
it was a disaster.
It was like he,
the guy literally,
it's like he placed the ball.
It picked it up and placed it exactly where the guy told him to put it.
It was,
it was one of the funniest things.
And he wanted to go back.
It's like he wanted to go back and ask the starter.
What the fuck happened?
It was unbelievable.
But so I remember that one, Bob.
I don't remember the blow up on pine.
too, though.
Oh, there was a few.
There was definitely a few.
Early on.
And I remember the cad of being hysterical.
I'll never forget, too.
That was when we saw Perez's first drive.
And he went OB, which he hadn't done now.
Fucking three years later, we haven't seen him really do.
But yeah, it was definitely wild seeing that.
Perez started out slow, I think, kind of slow,
because like he had told us he was like a one or two handicapped the night before when we were at dinner.
And back nine Chuck was like, yeah, there's no way.
So he actually was like, listen, if you want to come play with us tomorrow, where three some were playing number two, we'll get you on.
And I mean, you don't tempt Perez with a good time.
So sure enough, he had, he was supposed to work or something.
He made it out.
And so I was expecting like out of the gate this guy to be like unbelievable.
And I think Bob, the first two or three holes, he was.
struggling a little bit.
And then sure is shit, he just somehow, I don't even know, like quietly started
like birdying and paring holes to the point where like after nine holes, I think he was
even.
And then by the end of the round, I think he shot like one or two over while proceeding to
like house like 10, 11 beers.
And I looked at Bob and I was like, yo, this guy is not real fucking life.
And I still remember his catty.
Bobby, yeah, that, like, that's this, uh, we called him the Matador or whatever. Remember him?
Yes, sure do.
Or whatever.
Yeah, that was funny, too. Like, if you ever go back and you look at those videos, first off,
it's not even on the Bob, the sports channel. It's on the Brillly Dumb Show channel.
And we, the production value is so bad. Remember we used to just pass the phone back and
forth? Oh. No shot tracers on that either.
Oh, no. After the first or second hole, were you guys looking at each other? Like, this guy's
full of shit.
Or just like,
I wasn't because
you could see it in his
swing. Like when you saw him swing
like as, as, you know, like he went
OB and whatnot, you could
you know golf you could so see in the
mannerisms and stuff if somebody's about
to be good or not like you, you really did see
it was there. And then yeah, like Joe said,
then he just turned on the jets.
But quietly, like he was just
he was like really sneaky under the
radar after nine holes. He
was like even par and i was like bob this guy's playing lights out which is crazy because like
everybody knows Perez for being synonymous with golf but bob and i really had no idea that
he was a golfer up until that night before like because he had dm me and was like i heard you guys
are going to pinehurst let's meet up for a drink and a drink turned to dinner which turned
to golf which turned to you know a friendship now that you know i don't know where we would be without
the guy but we didn't have
any clue what to expect.
We didn't know he was a golfer.
We never really talked about him.
He used to join the happy hours,
and he was just like a funny dude, you know,
who we thought was hysterical.
But to find out that he was a golfer like that
was just like, it threw us for a total loop.
Let's talk about one of the most important pieces of equipment
on the golf course.
Right now, we're having a deal with Precision Pro,
the best range finder in the game.
The Titan elite range finder.
This thing is setting a new gold standard for all golf range finders.
Precision Pro, pro, you could do yourself a favor.
We have a code for you.
You could use Code Bob and save $20 off this thing right now.
Now, this is the NX10 range finder, and I think this thing is tremendous.
But thanks to Precision Pro, they actually come out with an even newer model.
Heiden elite range finder.
And that is actually the new standard for golf range finders as far as I'm concerned.
You're looking at an aluminum shell, an IP67 dust and waterproof rating.
It's got top-notch accuracy and innovative Bluetooth-connected features.
So you can try Precision Pro's RangeFinder worry-free with Precision Pro's 90-day money-back guarantee.
And as I said before, go to Precisionprogolf.com.
And then you go in and use the promo code Bob.
When you do that, you're going to save $20 off each rangefinder.
This thing's a real deal.
You want to add it to your bag.
It's going to make a game just that much.
I'd like to go back to some of those happy hours.
Some of those happy hours were so fucking.
It was such a shit show, man.
In a really good way.
Jerry tried to eat how many freezes he could eat in like five minutes.
And Tyler Cameron was there.
I was like live from Vegas in like a giant tub in the Caesar's Palace.
And then like I don't, I'm trying to think who else was there.
And Jerry's just like shoving down these freezes down.
We used to have a lot of fun with that shit, man.
It was a good fucking time.
Yeah.
I miss Jerry Don.
There's a great video out there, too,
when we played with Jerry Don,
Tyler Cameron,
and Matt James,
right when he almost got us canceled.
He was dressed up as a caddy,
no?
Yeah,
yeah.
So he had one of like the vise,
like the face shields.
He looked like a welder in a fucking catty.
It was great,
wasn't that the same trip
where you guys were on a boat
and someone like paid Jerry
to like jump?
in the water or something.
Or like I'll give you like $1,000 if you jump in the water.
And he did it, right?
Yeah, it was.
It was Matt.
Same trip.
Maddie ice.
Maddie ice.
And Jerry went fucking tumbling in that water.
He's like, $1,000.
And he just, and then we went for dinner.
I don't remember where we went for dinner.
Remember Bob he was wearing like the Our Lady of Guadalupe shirt, like the Mary
shirt buttoned down?
You look like he was Cuban or something.
We went to some seafood restaurant.
and he's like, we're going to get the seafood tower.
Remember, Bob?
We got like that ginormous fucking thing.
And he's just like eating snow crab.
And he's like, that was the easy $1,000 I have made.
You know, it was great.
It was when we started that boat ride, you just see a boat coming by.
And it says, I think it said five rings on it, no matter whatever how much Belichick has,
it was Bill Belichick.
And he just so calmly, he was just on the boat.
And then he just went by and he just like gave us the most.
Bill Belichick wave all time and I remember being like, is that fucking Bill Belichick?
And Jerry's like, I fucking eat that guy.
Yeah, he's a Jupiter guy.
Now, Pop, I got to tell you, I was telling Bob the other day, I think Philly is amazing.
To the point where Bob, I think you need, I don't know if you've been there before, I think you need to go.
I had a, now, I'm sure there's areas in Philly that are horrific, but the areas that I would
staying in. It was so great. The golf courses were unbelievable. The food was so good. I mean,
Billy, Billy really showed up. And this, this Angelo's, I'm going to be posting a sandwich
review on it this week. This Angelo's was, Bob, I'm telling you, it's worth the price of admission
just to fly. Looked amazing. Yeah. We had to call the sandwiches in beforehand and to pop,
we got the last three because apparently they bake their own bread day of and they had run out of bread.
There's a there's a bakery right next door called Sarkoans and they get their semolina bread every day from there.
Did you get the Cooper Sharp cheddar?
Did you go with or what kind of cheese you did?
That's the way to go.
Oh my God.
And I was telling the guys, it's like it's almost like it's not quite like a cheese sauce and it's not quite melted cheese.
It's kind of like an inversion of both.
It's so good.
We did it just with that and then onions.
And, oh my God, man, it was fucking tense.
Well, I'm glad that you liked it as much as I've been talking, you know, it up because recently, because also I vouched very hard for Charleston and we took a trip to Myrtle Beach.
And for whatever reason, Charleston got banged for what Myrtle Beach had.
Myrtle sucks.
But it had nothing to do with Charleston.
Had nothing to do it.
So I'm glad that another recommendation that I had in Philadelphia, which I personally think is the greatest city that I've ever been.
I love it.
There's so much character.
The food is great.
The music's great.
The comedy's great.
There's so much to do.
Buildings and statues.
It's old.
It's history.
It's where America was born.
It's the sport in the sports scene.
It's just a big community.
It's great.
So yeah, Bob, we got to get you there, man.
I think you'll love it too.
I think you'll really like it.
Bob, it was awesome.
I've definitely been, but briefly.
I remember going to like a Phillies game and whatnot,
but do you guys, because the chief say cutsy had did look unbelievable,
When you live there, do you get kind of tired of the cheesesticks to where it's as good?
Are you guys hitting it daily?
Well, I haven't, I've never lived there, but I've spent a significant amount of time there.
One of my best friends actually used to live across the street, and he went almost every day.
So my guess is that you'll put on a few pounds, but you never get sick of it.
So we went to Delisandro's the first day, which I thought was tremendous.
And the guy that we were with, he's from Philly.
he's like, this is really good, but it's, it's, it pales in comparison to Angelo's.
And I was like, how is that possible?
Because Delasandro's was so fucking delicious.
It was like, to me, the, I don't have a lot of cheese steaks.
Like from where I've been brought up and like where I've lived, it's just not something that
I've, I've had a lot of.
So to me, the Delisandro's cheese stick was the best cheese stick I ever had.
I was like, this is, this is awesome.
And then he's like, no, no, Angelos.
And what I didn't even realize.
is that Angelo's is a pizzeria.
They're not even a cheese steak place.
So it's just like another thing that they do good.
But man, it was unbelievable, man.
And by the way, Bob, you see that video?
I posted almost had a hole in one again on Marion.
I know.
I know.
Oh, my God.
It would have been amazing.
I think one is coming.
I think one is coming again.
I really, I'm not just saying that out of bullshit.
Like I really truly believe that like I'm going to get one.
Watch now like now we just start.
Watch now we just start like raining them in like home ones are just coming in left and right.
Like we're just like every week we're just cannon one.
And maybe maybe Jed will finally catch one on camera, huh?
Oh man.
You know, we really we didn't we didn't give him enough shit for that because the body.
my is, Bob, if that was you
on the green, do you know
the shit that you...
We got to give him a whole
lot more shit for that.
However, that photo that you guys
put on your Instagram, where
it's just him looking this wet
and the ball's going in over
there. I mean, that photo
needs to stick around for a while.
I might even make it the background on my phone
just to remind myself that you know what,
this guy fucks up to
sometimes. It ain't just...
Yeah, man.
Got to feel a little good for you, Pop.
Yeah.
Gives you a little leave.
I remember he, the night before he actually, he was really worried.
He's like, I'm going to get smoked for that.
He's like, you know, people are going to get me so much shit for that.
I was like, yeah, I was like, maybe a little bit.
But I was like, just get ahead of it.
He's like, well, he's like, how do I get ahead of it?
I was like, I'll post it on my story.
I was like, I'll just fucking bang you on the story and take it there.
He was so worried about how I was going to come.
But yeah, if that.
were you, you would have taken so much. I might not have even still been working for this company.
I'm just saying I was hired to do one thing. And if I had missed that one thing, you know,
you got it, you got it beautifully by the way, the zoom in that you had. I mean, wow,
pop was dialed in there. A special day. Special day. To Yaman's credit though, Bob, like,
you had been playing some of your truly worst golf up until that moment.
So, like, I at least understand where he was coming from.
And I think he was, like, trying to see, like,
if you shanked one into those guys, it would have been hysterical.
So I think he was, like, trying to get ahead of that.
But, yeah, tough break for.
Yeah, where Yaman had his camera pointed,
might actually say more about where Bob's golf game is.
It was funny.
Yeah.
Bob's been trying to find it, makes a hole in one,
and now he's trying to find it again.
Although, have you even golfed since that hole in one?
No, since we've recorded that last video, I haven't played since.
So look out on the next year.
It's got to touch a golf club again.
Yo, it's crazy what that did.
Like, I knew how big it was going to be.
But even like that wedding, I was just that random people.
Congrats on the whole and one.
Like, that's all they'll say if they see me.
It's pretty fucking cool.
It's got to feel good.
It's got to feel really good, man.
I just, I just, I just think.
from like obviously I knew home ones obviously were so so big it's such a freak thing to happen
but like it's so just like notoriously celebrated around the golf community like if you get
one like people are just so cool about it and so there's such like a respect factor with it
well you even watch on like zyre some of these golf channels like they just post like
just the regular dudes out there golf and when they get home once because the celebrations like
the things that ensue once the ball goes in is it's electric it's like
Like it's something everybody like can comprehend and like can can kind of like envision
them with their boys like how they how it would go down.
So to see the way that it happened, I wish I had not kept running to the green that I
could have been like part of the initial like celebration.
It made it good.
I thought everything about the celebration was awesome.
Everybody was like I thought it was perfect.
And, you know, me losing my ball.
It took a lot of shit for that.
It's very, very on brand and it's hysterical.
But in all honesty, when you think about it, like, as much as I would love to have that ball,
don't get me wrong, to have all your boys there celebrating the way that we did.
You hear Poppy in the back screaming.
Like, it doesn't get better than that.
There's a moment.
So I posted that shot at Marion.
And it literally, I'm not joking, it was like inches away from going in.
And it would have been tremendous.
this, it would have been so awesome to go in, but part of me was glad that wasn't my first one,
because I saw, like, how it was with Bob's. And I was like, dude, that is as good as it gets.
Like, A, it's on camera on a Bob does sports episode, which you'll have for the rest of your life.
And B, it's like, it's with the guys. It's like, it's with all the boys. It's just like,
that is the quintessential hole in one that, like, you know, now it's like, not only do I want to get a
whole one. I want to do it while we're doing a film week. So chances just got a whole lot,
a lot lower there. All right, Joey here interrupting this podcast to let you know. I made a couple
changes in my cocktail life. If you're like me, you'll love a good drink after a day of missing
puts on the greens. And that's exactly what I'm going to give you here. The new drink of choice
for the Bob does sports team is officially Stratosphere gin. That's right. We're changing the game.
I'm a gin guy now through and through. And let me tell you about Stratosphere gin. Stratosphere gin has a
citrus forward flavor that is going to tag team your tongue with botanicals that you've never
tried before and is going to sophisticate any cocktail you've ever had. So you know what? Why not
change the gate? This is the way to go. Substitute tequila, substitute vodka, substitute anything else
you make it. Throw in this bad boy and let's have some fun. What we love to hear from you is your
own specific recipes and cocktail designs by going on Instagram and tagging us with hashtag Bob Does
gin. This is officially the drink of Bob does sports. Now let's get back to that podcast and we'll see you soon.
Have a day. Bob, your reaction in the back, hearing you in the back, one of my favorite things
about the video is hearing you in the back when it goes in like you're just like,
oh my God. He's just like so shocked, but also so far. It's amazing. Yeah, I couldn't believe
what I was watching. I just, it was a special moment. The only way that thing was,
could have gotten better was if it happened on 17 so we didn't have to then play another what
13 holes or something while doing a food challenge because it was hard to just the adrenaline was going
so fast it was hard to like get back into the video but i mean we did it but it was um yeah it was
i couldn't imagine for you and for all of us just a more perfect way for it to have uh happened and then
Perez just back there with the salami just trying to celebrate but he's got a belly full of goldfish
and salami and he's trying to celebrate
but he's not moving so hot.
It was just,
it was a great moment.
It was great.
What's weird too,
like what Jet was even saying is that usually,
and it's true,
like usually like you were recording
even the build up to it like just not even the buildup to it,
but just like us in the car before where usually you guys kind of start
recording right as like we're getting ready to hit.
So even just to have the footage leading up to us eating the salami.
And I think you were fucking around a little bit with Brazil.
Even to have it leading up to that,
it's pretty fucked.
cool. Yeah. Yeah, no, it was. It was great.
But, um, all right, do you want to get into a little bit of Q&A here for the boys?
Get into Q&A. All right. First question comes from Connor Arthur, two. Which father's son duo for BDS
would win a scramble match? Oh, that's, that's easy. Low-hanging. Perez and that's,
dad. Yeah. And his dad would wax. My dad's never even, I don't think he's ever held a golf club.
I don't think he knows how to golf.
One's got to wonder if Jet's dad can golf.
You imagine?
Watch Jet's dad is like a stick.
Like he's just like a plus two.
That would be hysterical.
Yeah.
I just thought an honor father's day just passed and maybe we'd ask that.
My dad's okay.
I'm not great.
I actually, when I was in Philly,
it was mainly there for a golf trip.
I don't want to say it.
I think I found something.
And say it,
there's our pop.
Say it and I found something,
well,
you guys aren't around
is like being in high school
and saying I got a girlfriend,
but she goes to a different school.
I understand how that sounds.
However, I think I did.
I mean, I'm not a great...
What was the adjustments?
My buddy,
Charlie McClelland,
who Bob knows,
he just strengthened the hell out of my grip.
and I was placing the ball so far in my stance,
he was like, just center it up.
And those two things, again, I'm not a scratch golfer.
I'm still in the 90s, be honest, but it helped a lot.
I mean, it, it.
Oh, Charlie fixed my golf swing.
Yeah, I was getting the ball in there.
I was so excited because I hadn't done that in a while.
You know, it's such a great story is, it is Craig moved on,
but wasn't it when you were at the range and like,
this guy saw you grind and just like really struggling?
and then he hit you up and he's like, I'm like a golf pro, I'd be like more than happy now.
How did that break down again?
I was grinding away at a little range in L.A. called a Royoseco golf course.
And yeah, this guy just messaged me later on that day and was like, hey, saw you out there.
So you grind and you ever need some help.
Just let me know.
Looks like there's a little work to be done.
I forget the guy's name, but I never hit him up, unfortunately.
I think we moved pretty soon after that,
but yeah, it's pretty obvious to anyone who was watching me there for a while.
I need some help.
And I still do.
And I'll always take the help.
I don't have my fair share of those, Bob.
There are some guys out there who aren't good of golfers who hate getting tips.
They won't take tips.
I'll take every tip you have.
I'll take any tip you mean a James Featherston.
Yeah.
I'll never forget the time we went to the, I don't know if it was like a dick sporting,
or Dick's sporting goods
or like a golf galaxy or something
it was Roger Dunn it was it was the big one
so we went out with Showtime we went to the
Roger Dunn and Showtime's like I need to get a
new putter so he's testing out the putters
and the one guy's like oh you know
just they don't notice in your putting stroke
like if you do this it'll help he's like
listen man I'm here to buy a putter
not to change my putting stroke remember that Bob
he got all this
he can't give him
I would have killed when
And his mom got him a lesson for his birthday.
I would have killed to have cameras on that lesson and take a look at that.
But now then you had other guys who like Bob will take advice from anyone.
Remember the Twan disaster?
This random guy told him what to do with his swing.
And then the guy had the yips for like fucking three weeks after that.
Couldn't hit a golf ball because he took a random guy named Twan's golf advice.
He seemed like he knew what he was doing.
I'm with you, Pop.
I'll take it from anybody.
Anybody that gives me a tip,
I'm open to trying it out.
Me too.
Me too.
All right.
Let's move on.
The next question comes from AdZE underscore Farrell.
Is getting fitted for clubs worth it?
Yes.
A hundred percent.
I mean, listen, here's the thing, like,
Bob and I, like, we're not, like, shaping shots.
we don't know like, like, for example, like when we're buying clubs, we don't know which club is suited best for our swing.
We don't know.
So like most people like I, who have like average golf swing like us would just go and buy stock set.
The added value that you get from going in and getting fitted from someone who knows and can analyze your swing and your swing patterns and whether you're drawing the ball, whether you're fading it, what kind of like if you have a high ball flight, low ball flight, to get you a quick.
with the proper equipment, like with the proper clubs,
is such an added value because they can literally tailor a club
to what your golf swing is going to do.
So it helps you right out of the gate.
It makes it that much better.
We've been very fortunate that the Callaway team has been so good with that.
But I don't want to speak for myself.
But Bob, I know that the irons and like the stuff that they've given me
have drastically improved my gain.
And, you know, even like giving me like seeing how bad my wedge.
edge game is to get me fitted with specialized wedges like the CB wedges to help me be able to swing
because I'm just so bad with that.
Like things like that go a long way.
And yes,
is it expensive 100%?
But like I feel like if you're spending all that money on clubs like a lot of guys do and
then they're not right for you in your swing and then you got to go get more clubs,
you might as well just spend a little bit extra and make sure you're getting the proper set
that's going to get you to where you need to go.
That's my opinion anyways.
All right, pop on to the next one.
All right.
Did you disagree?
One more.
Not a lot more ad.
Yeah, I really nothing more.
I mean, I'm very passionate about having, you know,
any golf swings.
Take it away.
All right.
Next question comes from Ryan Hyatt Zero.
What's a better feeling?
Dinner arriving at the table or a dart from 100 yards out?
Hmm.
Look, I love a good dart, man, but I really, really love a good dinner.
So the dart lasts.
It's a quicker, you know, you shoot your dart, and then it's on to the next one.
Dinner takes a lot longer, so I'll take the dinner.
I would tend to agree.
I think the thing with me, I'm such a psychopath when I'm shooting a dart.
I'm already thinking about the pot I got to make in order to try to get a birdie.
I'm not even just enjoying the greatness.
of making a good shot.
Whereas when dinner comes out, you just,
the vibes are high.
Vives are very, very high,
especially with this crew.
Fatest crew in golf.
What about you, Pop?
I go to a lot of dinners,
but I don't hit a lot of darts.
100 out.
So I'm going to go with the dart.
Yeah, it's a great feeling.
But I do love dinner, man.
When you get those courses starting to show up, dude,
there's nothing better, man.
There is nothing better.
But food is a dangerous road for me.
We all saw how that went last year.
So the greatest thing was when pop makes a good shot when he's like filming with us or something,
we all like try to jazz him up because he's so hard on himself constantly.
And he's just like, I stink.
And, and, you know, it can get demoralized.
But when pop makes a good shot, there's truly nothing I enjoy more.
And there, I mean, I remember that eagle putt he made, which was unbelievable.
Or the first time when we did the Christmas episode and he like striped the three wood.
And he goes,
Bob does sports Christmas edition.
Remember that?
And he just,
you just went off.
Yeah.
Great.
Yeah.
I also remember with the Breezy Chicago episode,
me firing it right into our carts.
Off the T-box.
One of those little dribblers?
Yeah, the little dribbler right into our cart.
It's a lot more of those than these eagle putts.
But,
all right.
I want to do one more?
Yeah.
Yeah, it's one more.
Okay.
this one comes from
Deschance
Spix
Dishan Spix
Dishan Spix
Oh
I am
Dechance Spix
This one comes from
Deschance Spix
What are Bob and Joe's swing thoughts
Before a shot?
Oh man
Bob
Bob
The
Deschat
Spix
That was wild.
I don't know.
That was a mouthful, man.
Oh, man.
I'll start, Joe.
I think now more than ever, which just slow down.
I mean, what I've seen, I just really, really got to slow it down.
I think I want it so bad that I go so quick.
But, yeah, I would say just slow down and try and smooth it out, whether, you know, that's the result or not.
you know, who knows, but that is what's in my head.
I will say, um,
it varies based on how I'm playing and like where I'm at in,
in the certain round.
Like, if I'm playing well, it's, you know, it's just like, all right,
you got this.
Just, you know, nice, easy swing here.
Let's just get on the green.
Let's make a good shot, you know, not too crazy.
If I'm, if I am like imploding, I'll be like, all right,
fucking idiot.
Just swing here.
You can fucking swing you.
You haven't made a good shot yet.
Just like slow it the fuck down and make a decent swing.
You're embarrassing yourself out there.
Like there's so many drastic different things that are happening in my head depending on how the
round is going.
So you could get a variation of different shit.
Bob, what's the swing thought?
Well, when I'm on the show, it's don't fuck this up.
Don't you dare fuck this up.
And then when I'm just playing on my own, it's, you're going to fuck it up is more of what it is.
It pop, man.
But you found something.
I think so.
I would hate to say that.
And I already did.
And then, you know, down the line, I'm on an episode again.
And I just played the same way.
But I think I did.
I think I found something.
I think I'm on the road back.
By the way, we have, depending on.
if we get this released out today, which would be Monday or tomorrow, Tuesday.
You have pop in an episode coming out, I believe, that comes out this Tuesday, right?
It's dropping tomorrow, pop.
That's correct.
Yeah.
That's before I found something, by the way.
So don't.
Keep that in mind.
Yeah.
That's what led him to finding something.
Exactly.
Exactly.
So keep that in mind.
Big, big shout out to Bryson, who hopefully we can get back on the channel again soon.
but just incredible stuff from him.
That has been another edition,
the Bob does sports podcast.
We appreciate you guys tuning in.
And as always,
we will see you next week.
