Awesome weekend. A lot. We did a lot. We ate a lot. We went to the Ryder Cup. We played basketball. We did a little bit of everything. Thoughts on the weekend.

Yams. We're going to be watching the Sunday night game as we go to in case we comment on it. But your thoughts on the weekend, Yams? Oh, me? Yeah. Yeah. Well, okay, just to mention before we start, the game is on, there are a couple bets on the game. There's a couple people. What's the game? Wagers? Well, you got, it's cowboys, Packers. And I believe

there's a big time prop bed going around Jordan Love over one and a half touchdown passes. Need it. Everybody's on. My thoughts on the weekend is that it's been incredible. I feel like it's been, we've been here for two months. but it has been incredible. The Rider Cup was sick today.

Honestly, my favorite part was today watching with the fellas the Ryder Cup, the comeback that never was. And I had a great time. I said to you guys, I really do mean it. There was a time when we were making that push where it felt like that might be the greatest sports afternoon.

I mean, I know USA didn't come through, but that could be the greatest sports afternoon of all time. Yeah, that was real. By the way, we should get Mikey a bowl of ice cream because he looks like glennie balls over there. He's way off to the side. Yeah, man.

Mikey, I can't, I cannot see you. I could see him. You can see him on the thing. Yeah, but you can hear me. Is there a mic to Mike? Yeah. Yeah, that is true. You can hear me, Bob.

He's here. He's here. He's periodically cut to you eating ice cream and laughing. Mikey, was that one of the best Sunday afternoons of your life with the Bears win? I mean, the Bears win means very little to me. I mean, it's great to get in the wind column again, but I know how it goes. I know how to end up. but it always ends bad, Bob.

Hearing him and Jett throughout the game, they were, like, driving about to score, and you swear that they were down 50. And it was just, I don't know, maybe that's just what it means to be a bearish fan, but, like, they just doubted the team every single time they had a chance to win. And they won.

Yep. We did good today. We hit a couple parleyes that were looking awful from the jump. It was very hard on. We hit a couple live bets. We had a lot of fun. The 1 PM slate was rough on us.

Well, we did the alternate spread parlay money But that didn't go anywhere. They didn't go well, but then the golf, we, we, we came back. Right. And, uh, I just mean that one o'clock football. Yeah, but you have, you really took, had his way. You're going to have those tough windows. Of course.

Um, but then every once in a while, with that window cracks. That's right. That's what happened. The Ryder Cup comeback was, I mean, really freaking cool. I mean, see Ed and Cameron Young make a put on 18 to go up. And then Justin Thomas made a big put. And like, then there was like that, that faint little bit of hope. And then we got down to it.

There was like four or five. matches left and you're like oh my god this is this is a real real possibility now had they gotten past the lorry match it would have been really cool but we were having a lot of fun and i think it meant more too because the last two days it was really nothing to cheer for at all and and i said to bob and the guys that said you know what as like someone who's watching and rooting for the team to see how hard they fought and how much they wanted it it makes losing it a little less it makes it a little less it makes it a little less bad. And I was really proud of how they went out there even known that it was like a really, really difficult task to do that. And they just, they fought their hearts out. It was

pretty inspiring, to be honest. What were your thoughts on the writer couple? Yeah, it was a tough Friday Saturday. I think probably for everybody watching and certainly the people out there. I know we went Saturday morning and it just didn't, you know, kind of that Bethpage Long Island crowd was supposed to be really fiery and that was a big storyline going into the week and it felt like they were muted by the play of the Europeans which is a great game plan by them doesn't always work that way but you know it it probably it probably got a little taste of what it should have been all week there towards like the second half of the day even when we got up early it's still that long shot that everyone has in the back of their mind but I don't know it it really didn't feel like

a sure thing there for a while. It felt pretty 50-50, at least watching it and hoping for it. So, I don't know. All you want is some excitement at the end, and we got that. There was a time where I thought we were going to end up being projected to win. There was a small

little window where I thought maybe we would be projected to win that ended up, you know, we didn't. But yeah, that was fun. I do wish they made that thing harder. It was too much of a dark party. Yeah, I think Keegan talked about it afterwards that he regretted the setup. I think he, I think everyone expected

those greens to be firmer, especially with, there wasn't really any rain. So you know, watching some of those shots spin the way they did and just darts. I mean, people are just throwing them in. You know, when you're, that's major championship golf course that generally has some teeth to it. I can understand

putting the rough down and try to, you know, reward good shots and have birdies win holes, but you can't have short rough and soft greens. And obviously, saw fairways. I mean, that's just, these guys are so good that when we got down, like Jet, you were saying, once you're down in a setup like that, there's no way to come back when everybody's playing that way. So I think it should have, you know, there should have been some differences there.

You can talk about pairings and groupings. I don't think it really came down to that, it felt like, but the golf course just didn't, it didn't give us the advantage that you try to give yourself as a home team. I think there were definitely some pairing issues and obviously the way we played on that last day. I mean, it did kind of come down to just a point or two. I mean, it was pretty close with the way we played today. And just that Morcahawain was very interesting. I don't think enough people in my opinion, or at least, you know, what do I know? But I thought that Deschambeau Schaeffler pairing was very bizarre on yesterday's. Too much firepower? Well, yeah, just spread the wealth a little bit. I just thought there was, I think some of the pairings, you can look back to them because

the way we played today, it came down to a matter of a point or two. And then the half point with the Hovlin thing was a whole other bad. That was insane. That that that was allowed. And I know after you're saying that that's how it is. But you saw how hard Lori fought scratch and clawed to get the half point. And then for then Hovlin to not even go out there and then for them to automatically just get a half point, they're going to have to maybe change that rule.

I don't know. I mean, yeah, if that's the decision that, you know, the PGA of America and the teams want to do going forward. But, I mean, everyone knows, I don't know. I guess I've got a little bit more of a traditional thought on golf and the Ryder Cup as it is. I mean, I don't think you can necessarily look at Rider Cup through the same lens that you look at, like, a major championship or even, like, a world championship in any other sport, right? Like, it's an exhibition. it's a gentleman's sort of match that, you know, everyone knows the rules going forward.

Everybody put a name in an envelope in case this happened. And, you know, who knows who's going to get hurt, right? It could be the Americans that needed that situation. Could have been, you know, the Europeans. So it's sort of you play by the rules. Now, that doesn't mean that going forward that's not something they talk about and change is, you know, this isn't, you know, set in stone.

But, you know, it's not like it was a shock. it might be frustrating and disappointing certainly for the players I imagine that day or the American players but you know it is definitely made it it made what was already a really really almost impossible tasks that much harder because they automatically got to have a point
