Starting point is 00:00:07 Welcome back to what is another edition of the Bob DeSports podcast. Mr. Costas has joined us here today. Pop is here. Tim Hudson, Jet. Great name there. Zorba Zobras is good as well. Cotzi, I have no idea who that is. I would assume hockey player.
Starting point is 00:00:25 No, the Italian national goalie for years, Bob. An icon. My apologize. No FP today. We, FP is playing stream song, I think. so we do not have an F.P. with us here today. But fellas, good to see, as always coming off, a long, long Vegas trip, a lot done.
Starting point is 00:00:47 Fellas, how are we? Well, a long trip, not for Pop, not for Pop, but for everybody else. Pop, you had to know that was coming. The fuck, man. I mean, in the world did we need to start that way. You had to see it coming. Also, the show was brought to you by... Oh.
Starting point is 00:01:05 Have a Day. Miami Vice on the move. We just got numbers back from Wawa. We are killing it with Wawa. I think like their number two liquor, killing this. So thank you to everybody that's important. Drink haveaday.com if you don't have it by your local stores. D-Man's got the hat on right there. And D-Man also got a lot to discuss. A new homeowner is Joey D. Yeah. And, you know, Jet's concerned that I'm going to be homeowner poor. I'm quickly ascending towards that towards that precipice because I tell you what man
Starting point is 00:01:40 not only like there are more hidden fees title fees inspection fees now I found out the two of the AC units are needed to be replacing that's like 20 grand so I'm going to try to get it back from the buyer or from what does it mean to be homeowner poor well it means it's called it's called house poor pop and it means all of you
Starting point is 00:02:03 your investment and your money is in this house. Well, not all, not all, but I know. That's what being, you're living in the American dream is essentially, at least what they say, is, you know, moving, you know, buying a house and having, but if all your, the way he was describing, I only said it because he described me. He's like, I'm buying a house. He's like, and I'm getting banged. And I was like, oh, well, then you're just going to be house for you.
Starting point is 00:02:23 I feel like everybody gets banged when they buy a house. Well, they do bang you. I remember, I, like, when my sister bought a house and they were like, they're like, oh, we're getting a house. And then the inspector came. and they have to pay for that. And then the inspector inspects and he goes, oh,
Starting point is 00:02:36 this is all fucked up. Then you got to pay for that. And it's like a never ending. It's like a never ending ordeal. Joe, like property tax and then you got to, it just never goes away. But I am happy for you.
Starting point is 00:02:46 And I don't actually think you're going to be house poor. I think you're doing, you're doing very well. You're doing good. You're living the American dream. I told him when we were traveling. It was just me and Jet. And I was like,
Starting point is 00:02:56 tell him about the house. And like most of the time, people be like, oh, that's amazing. Like, I'm so happy for you. Except he's like, yo i don't want you be in house core okay so like i was like jeez man like what what what because because the d man dropped the number on on what the house was like so i think
Starting point is 00:03:16 when he you know it's a pretty penny that happened with my parents house is they didn't let them know about like the pool so like the inspector so did they almost kind of pull a fast one with you with the ac almost no it's not broken but it's like I guess these things have like shelf lives and it's getting towards the end of the shelf life and so they're like you're going to need to replace it you might as well try to do it now so then we got to go back with the realtor and put in a thing to try to get that replaced by the seller who could very well just tell us to fuck ourselves but you know we're going to try because it's like 20 grand just for these two things but yeah just not right it's it's it is a laundry list of shit
Starting point is 00:04:02 comes out of nowhere. And I have had more calls with bank and mortgage brokers and, and it's, it's, I'm ready to be done. And now I got to move. I got to move. And I'm, I can't break my lease. I try to get Jensen to move into my place because I can't, I can't, I can't break my lease. What was the verdict on that, Jensen? Uh, I can't, I can't move out of my place till March, so I couldn't do it. And he bang me. He bang me. So Jensen, is it Bob H. Q that's really helping you get down to Jupiter? Because that's another announcement itself, it looks like you're coming down to Jupiter. Yeah, no, yeah, I think Bobby she's a huge factor.
Starting point is 00:04:38 I mean, honestly, I just want to be more involved and more in the mix. But I mean, Bob HQ from everything you showed me, you look sick. So it's definitely a big factor. But also, like, you know, just getting in the mix, getting more involved. Yeah. The young man out of Orlando. And that's in real world. The reality is, though, when you have the house, like, you have to put a lot of money down,
Starting point is 00:04:57 I know. But once you're paying, like right now you're renting, you're going to be paying. essentially your mortgage, which is rent, and then in five years, your house is going to be worth fucking two, three X what it is now, not that much, but like you're going to be in a couple years like that the, it just goes up and then you're going to be fine. But it is a bitch at the start. Speaking of someone, what? There's not, it's not good to see a lot of exes on the shirt. It's good to see a lot of exes on like the house. I think it's inevitable too, like where you live and they will. Like you're going to be. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:29 It kind of reminds me of the day I was driving Cutsi home or to the airport when his kid was being born. I'm driving him and he's on the phone and he hangs up the phone with the call and he's like, oh man, he just had so many late nights recently. And I'm like, oh, there's going to be a lot more of those once the kid is born. He's like, oh, no, it's going to be fine. And now he's up all hours of the night every night. Now he's house poor. I can add that to the old resume.
Starting point is 00:05:59 me, Pop. Remember of Bob does sports, you know? No longer, by the way, we no longer have the Sportsman podcast, so I took that off. Yeah. I can just replace it with the house poor. The host of Bob does sports gets weighing over his head with massive home investment. Pop, did you guys ever make an announcement that you guys weren't doing sportsmen anymore? Oh, no. I said to Papa I just bailed on him Yeah
Starting point is 00:06:32 For the course I'm like I'm like should we make a statement He's like well the NFL season's coming back It'll be gone before that podcast back It just it was one of those things like There's so many things going on Like and then you know you add a kid
Starting point is 00:06:50 And you add this and you had that We're traveling Trying to get that one hour podcast Was like trying to rearrange range the world. And Pop knows, it was like, it wasn't that we didn't like doing the pod. It just, it just, yeah, had to be pushed aside, unfortunately. I will miss you guys every trip talking about when to do the sports, then it pushed it by. Like, it was every episode, you guys were like, ah, maybe we just push it.
Starting point is 00:07:16 Like, it was the same conversation and I enjoyed, like, I truly enjoyed listening to that conversation. I didn't love that podcast. It just would always come up at the most in-offer-time times. I tell you what, that conversation didn't have as frequently as Jensen bugging us about this one. Oh, yeah. You've won a month, Paul. But it feels like you text us every day about it. It's the way it.
Starting point is 00:07:38 You should do that. How's November 13th, by the way. Is everybody free for next one? I don't blame. I don't get a text. Go ahead, Yams. We said you should do one of those like notes app screenshot apologies that people put up. Just be like, we're so sorry, but the sportsman has come to its end.
Starting point is 00:07:54 We never thought this day would come. but responsibility. Randomly do an episode when you least expected. Just pop one out. That'd be great. We'll just do a Christmas episode. Just do one episode every year. We'll do a Christmas special.
Starting point is 00:08:05 We should do that, Pop. We have to film one, by the way. I was actually thinking about it. We filmed so many videos. I am always shocked at how popular the Christmas video is every year. People like love it. And I really, we got to film it because we're not filming. We have a ton of videos.
Starting point is 00:08:22 We're not filming for a while. The next trip, we got to film the Christmas video. See if Pete Finch wants to be in the Christmas episode. Right. We're supposed to film with Pete next week. I think everybody's just so gassed from all the, you know, the travel is a long trip. It's the most stocked up we've been for videos.
Starting point is 00:08:40 It really is. A lot of people are knocking on our door for when's the internet invitation. I'm going to come out. When's that ever going to come out? Yom's fair to say end of October is pretty official or what's the status with that? I mean, I don't know if we could. say, but soon. Because I think, I think there's going to be a trailer coming out pretty soon, and then we'll be off and running. We have, I mean, we have the Halloween video that we filmed
Starting point is 00:09:04 that everybody has been seen is coming out before Halloween in order to then get into the invitational stuff. So it's exciting. A lot of big stuff is coming pretty soon. Joe Versho-Sho. The Joe Vershamo is going to come out immediately after the invitation. Okay. Okay. Yeah, like that. We've had so many videos. And I know people, complain because they're like, where's this, where's that? Like, we have so many videos filmed that we're just going through them. Like, we're not, we can't put it out four videos in a week. Like, it's, it's not a smart way to release content. So yeah, we film things that we have in the past and no people get pissed off. They're like, why don't you release all 25 videos in the
Starting point is 00:09:42 same week? And it's like, well. Yeah, I've done, I've hyped up Joe Vershamo so much that I get that a lot, like, when's it going to come? Like, people think we just forgot about the internet invitational but like at the same time the inter-invitational is three days four days of 48 people miced up the entire day cameras running all like it's a it's a movie and they want to you to write they don't they're not they're trying to like they are bar stool is handling almost all of it because they have so many guys and brendon is very smart and good at that we're pitching in where we can in terms of the post-production and they want to and everybody wants to make sure it's perfect before it goes out you know and people are going to complain either way like
Starting point is 00:10:27 with the way it's it's done and the way that it's come out it's like yeah people are going to be like you should have done this you should have done that you should do this like it is it is it's fantastic though i'll tell you that much it is oh i'm so excited for that's first episode to come out i think it's going to change like the landscape like even like the like you know obviously we can't see what's going to happen but even the format of how it went down and everybody kind of like you know coming together in one room like every single person pretty much who's like you know frequency the space that we operate in in one spot at the same time like it it's going to be epic d man do you think you're part of some groundbreaking content i'm a small piece
Starting point is 00:11:08 yeah a small piece yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah i'm also home house pour so i don't know i don't how Paul that's going to get me I think with the internet invitational I honestly think if you asked me like at the end of it if I could give it a 1 to 10 on how good it is
Starting point is 00:11:30 9.8 like with the different storylines that are going to come out like just just hang on the whole way because there is some crazy shit that happens like as good as it gets so yeah that's going to be
Starting point is 00:11:45 coming soon. The trailer looks amazing, so that should be coming soon as well. But yeah, with the Joe Versham show, I think on the Burlington Dom show, we hyped it up so much that, and here, too, that people are waiting for it. Jaybone hates hearing Brunley Dom show come out of your mouth, dude. What's wrong with that, Jen? Aubrey's not a fan. You put words in my mouth, Pop. Yeah, but Jay Don't.
Starting point is 00:12:09 I was just laughing at the fact that we've talked about Joe versus Smil every single podcast for the last three months. We also have, my dad set me up with one of his softball friends that is going to set us up at a comedy club. He does like stand-up comedy. So he's set us up out of a, yeah, so we can finally get that monkey off our back, which we, oh, I mean, hand up. It's been way too long, just like Joe taking me to Pebble Beach, which, you know, hasn't happened either. We haven't done that. So we got some, we got to write the wrongs around here. Can you give us a quick taste, like just a more.
Starting point is 00:12:45 of what some of the content of your stand-up would be? Like, just maybe some topics. Like, do you have material? I do. I could say this. I would go with, like, say we get five minutes, right? I would go with something that I've posted on Instagram, like one of my Instagram comedy videos, and roll that.
Starting point is 00:13:07 I'd be curious where the D-Man's going to go with. I think I'll wing it. I bet you would. Better he just gets up there for five minutes and rants about taxes. Oh, dude, Ballard airports. The process of buying a home, dude. Anybody fly American airlines for you? Airports will get you a long way.
Starting point is 00:13:27 Airports gets you a long way, let me tell you. Everybody associates with it. Don't you hate when you sit in first class and she doesn't bring you your drink immediately? Has anyone ever experienced that? When the hot towel isn't that a lot? That's, stand up that. When the hot nuts are cold. There's not enough cashews.
Starting point is 00:13:51 That might be the only place in the world where he could be uncomfortable. When you're two minutes in and people aren't laughing and like, that might be the only place you would ever be in your specifically entire life where you might be uncomfortable. I don't think I would care to be honest. Like if you like it, you like it. I mean, I'm there to do a punishment, you know. I'm not there to start a new career. You know, so like, I actually think I think it would either be a tank job or I think it would be brilliant.
Starting point is 00:14:20 I don't think there's really any end between. I think it's either I'm getting in a Netflix special or I'm getting fucking yanked off the stage with one of those. One of those like catapod thing. They're just going to close the curtains and they're just going to be a eggs flying. You know, like I think there's, that's the kind of two extremes for me. But Cutsi, would you say with six months of practice you could get a Netflix special? No, I'm not a comedian like that. You know what he's trying to do?
Starting point is 00:14:45 He's trying to bait you into his. That's the old baby switch Brandon Aubrey over here, who he also compared himself to the kicker that he thinks he could make, you know, make the collegiate level, you know, or NFL team after he retires or after Bob Desport's done. That's his,
Starting point is 00:15:01 that's his, that's his, uh, MO by the way, Jet. You know, you realize that. Like Bob to go.
Starting point is 00:15:07 It's going to go away. It's going to, you know, fucking flame away into the dust. And then Jensen's going to be an NFL. NFL kicker for the fucking Dallas Cowboys. Well, he said, I mean, Jensen, you said that if you had six months of practice,
Starting point is 00:15:21 you could be a college football punter. And like, if you really think about it, it's not like the craziest thing of all. You didn't say like D1, you didn't say DG, you didn't say whatever. But it is, it's just like classic you. Like we keep going through. I will say, talk a big,
Starting point is 00:15:38 and it's like, of course, we're never going to test the theory, right? You're never going to take six months. to learn it so you can never be proven wrong but at the same time it's like you're a cocky son of a bitch so like how are we supposed to like deal with this dude jensen gets under jet skin he really really does oh a few people do i know like jensen it's not jensen that gets under my skin it's the cockiness that gets under my skin anybody from jensen no no more than any it's it's anybody who would say that would piss me off. But yeah, I guess a little bit more because that's my,
Starting point is 00:16:15 that's my son. I, you know, he's, he's, that's your coaching tree. He's trying to, I'm trying to keep him in my house and he's trying to run free. And I need to, um, Nick Saban getting upset with Lane Kiffin, you know, like that's his coaching tree on his boss. Pop is my all time coaching tree. He's my fucking Heisman, man. That's the only one I've ever brought to the table. But my God, did he ever flourish? Hang on. You, you, you, you've brought people to the table. What did you bring to the table? I got, there's some people that Cutsi wants to give like a red shirt to,
Starting point is 00:16:48 but like, oh, I can tell you some names. Oh, I got names that got brought to the table that we might not be here, like, where we could be sitting in prison of some names that.
Starting point is 00:17:02 No. Uh, the man, I do not have to say for, I don't know if I brought anyone else to the table legitimately, but I, I've had some good ideas. You were pop, Pop, was your guy?
Starting point is 00:17:13 Yeah, that was my guy. It's true. I mean, it's, that's true. You're part of the Joey D. Coaching Tree? Yeah, that's a good coaching tree. Yeah, I didn't know. Get me in the mix. Okay.
Starting point is 00:17:24 Good, but I mean, would you, would you agree with that? It's a mixture, but I think what's the old E-Man. Bob tried to say it was your, his coaching tree, which for once I disagree with. Because I- It's a little bit of both because he only have, he brought me on to the Bruntley-Dum show, but he never would have thought me to do that if you weren't considered- Yeah, I'll give it. It's a mix. Yeah, yeah, I think that's fair. I mean, he definitely stuck his neck out for you for a long time.
Starting point is 00:17:49 He was with you through the hard times for sure. Yes, for sure. I would like to say going back to what we're talking about, I have a request that the next trip we do, we go to a field where there's goalposts. They were all. We have pop. We have pop trying to kick the 40-yard field goal. Sure.
Starting point is 00:18:08 And then we see how far Brandon Aubrey down there can come to football. And then we can start making some, you know, some calculated, you know, approximations of whether or not our guys are actually capable of doing it. Well, we should do it for a stream. That sounds beautiful for a stream. I saw, I saw Rohn from Barstool put out a tweet today because he's doing that streaming. I saw him put out a tweet where he got the, I'm going to call on you. You can put your hand down.
Starting point is 00:18:34 I just put the, um, He put the, got the streaming backpack, and I saw the streaming backpack, and I was like, no, we need to get that backpack because that'll allow us to fucking do stuff in the wild. And with that being said, Ticket, I got to be honest, like, the kick is going to be, I have tremendous fear that you're not going to be able to make it. To be honest with you, like when I heard it, I didn't know, or I forgot that it was 40 yards. I thought it was like. 40.
Starting point is 00:19:06 So I, I will say. I will say I was talking to Perez about the punt thing. I did honestly forget to take into account like the factor of like getting a snap, like getting it snapped to you and the timing of getting the punt off before your tackle. You think you start with the ball in your hands? Yes, yes. That's what I forgot to take that to account. I will say that.
Starting point is 00:19:28 But that being said, I play flag football league on Mondays. And when we punt, I punt for my team. And I think our field is like probably basically. 50 yards, maybe 60 with the end zones. And I could punt at the full field, like from one end zone to like the 10 yard line. 60 yard punts from Jensen? No, not 60. It's like 40, like 30, 40. But 30, 40 doesn't get the job done. And we're not even talking about hang time. This is never. Or direction. Can you paint in my life until three weeks ago? Can you put it in the coffin? Can you like directionally put it Places?
Starting point is 00:20:05 Yeah. Okay. I was, I punted on yesterday on Monday, and I over, this is not going to help my kid, but I overheard the ref. He said, wow, that guy punted in high school. That's what he said, and I never kicked. Oh, my. I will say, though, like, to Jets point, there is a certain arrogance about you, Jens. Like, you won't quit on a thing.
Starting point is 00:20:29 Like, you won't, like, for example, yeah, like, I always will come to your defense. And like even after the nine out, like where we gave you, we're like, keep hitting, keep hitting, keep hitting. You refuse to just put the hand up. And like, there is a little level of arrogance that you do have that I see where Jet gets annoyed, to be honest. But I will say, like, the things that I believe I can do, I'm pretty confident in myself. I'm not going to go out there and be like, oh, I could like be NBA basketball. Like, I suck at basketball. I'm horrible.
Starting point is 00:21:01 But the things that I believe I can do, I'm pretty confident. Like, the nine iron thing, it's, it's very odd on the channel because I go home and I immediately hit my nine nine. I'm 60. I just don't understand why I can't do it when we play on camera, but. I mean, there's a difference between belief in like reality. Like, I believe I'm in the main bold. That's not with the argument is the argument is my confidence. It's not about.
Starting point is 00:21:24 Yeah, that's fair. And listen, I'm not, none of us are helping you with your confidence. I'll give me that much. His confidence is in at all time. But I, and I believe that you can, like I have seen you hit a nine iron. that far, but it's like one out of every 15. So like that's where it's like, well, maybe just like take an easier swing. With ticket, I've never seen him kick any.
Starting point is 00:21:43 I'm not even taking a shot. I have tremendous concerns about a 40-yard field goal like getting high off the price. How far is the one that Maccabee hasn't taken on college game days? That's 25 or 35. Isn't that 25? I'm not sure. No, the game day one is 40.
Starting point is 00:22:03 No. Oh. To be honest, Pop, maybe it's 35, Dad. Yeah, Pop, the game day looks almost like an extra point. Like, it looks really tight. It's not. Half of the guys, half of the guys can't need to come close. How far, Jameson?
Starting point is 00:22:20 33. That's a, that thing is an extra point. Well, Jeff, do you think that pop is an athlete enough for the kick? Do you find him to be an athlete? I think is that kicking is not much of being an athlete. It's not an athletic. being a wide receiver, but I'm not going to say there's no element of up there athleticism to it.
Starting point is 00:22:39 But it's not, it's not shooting a three-pointer. It's not catching like, you know, O'Dell Beckham Jr. It's about leg and technique. It's about technique more than it is about. You need some leg functionality in the sense of like length. Like if you did a full kick, like I don't, how high can your leg go after you make impact with the ball?
Starting point is 00:23:02 Like, are you flexible? Can you launch it? Like, 40 yards? NFL guys miss 40-yard kicks. Like, not often, but they do. But I don't have the pressure of the defense running at me either. Like, I don't have to worry about getting it as high as these, like, good from 60. I just got to get it through the 40.
Starting point is 00:23:19 Pop, what was your, you said, if you got three tries, was it? I said three tries, this was years ago, I think on the sportsman podcast is where the started. Yeah, that's right. And, yeah, I said three tries, 40 yards, I can do it. Now, Bob, would you be willing to put a wager down if he makes one of the three tries? Yeah. I know how we did. If he hits a green, he gets like a bonus.
Starting point is 00:23:42 A hundred percent, but I would like a little something for me if he doesn't hit. Like those green bets, I want a little something for me if he doesn't because of how confident he is. Pops never stepped up to the T-box and been like, I'm hitting this fucking green. That's true. With the field goal, he's, so this time I would want a little bit on the back then. That's fair. Okay. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:24:03 Is it monetary that you want that? No, no. I want you to do some. Content. Yeah, exactly. Content. Maybe like a stream challenge would be great. We get a lot of value out of that, out of the solo pop streams are great.
Starting point is 00:24:17 Sure. You know what I mean? Hey, maybe one of us can do the pancakes. Maybe I'll do the pancakes. Yeah, maybe. I'm totally tied up at stream song. We did see. Did you see me needle and gas the other night?
Starting point is 00:24:30 It was great. Yeah. It was great. And a good ha-ha can keep it going too. Like once I saw you click ha-ha, I clicked ha-ha too on that. I could have used some more love from it, a teddy or a showtime. Sure. Or a yard.
Starting point is 00:24:42 This guy's such a prick all the time. Dickie Gas took an unwarranted shot at me. I almost think that. Thank you. Thank the Lord I have that chat on mute because if I saw it on time, I would have, I would have, it's freaking absurd. He has just bit, no offense, Dickie gas, if you're watching. He's the commission of our, of our fantasy.
Starting point is 00:25:01 footballing and he is just losing. He got upset that I don't, he got upset that me and FP did not set our lineups. Now, I didn't set, I never set my lineup. I made it very clear that I have wanted nothing to do with this league. You guys, sure, messed up. I'm in the
Starting point is 00:25:17 league and my friends, yeah, they were, they were helping me for the last few years and I guess they're just mailing it in now. All upset of us, not sending our lineup. And then I was like, gas, your record is worse than mine. And I'm not setting my lineup. And then he just like went into a tirade.
Starting point is 00:25:33 I almost went back at him when he sent that clap, but then I got really close. I almost sent him a screenshot of a, of a, of a, of a, of a, of a, of a, of a, of a, of a, of a, of a, a, of a, a, um, weekly balance to shut him up in terms of the gambling nonsense he was talking to me about. Well, so, I was going to say, the way Dickie Gassling, Dickie Gass is a notorious horrible gamber, like he's known for just, like, he, he's known as being a horrible gamble. So the way he came at you, though, you would think that he's lighten the house up, which he's in scary to do it.
Starting point is 00:26:07 He was like, he was like, why don't you, he's like, I heard you've been losing. Why don't you, you know, save some money this week and set your lineup? I was like, yo, one of those things has nothing to do with the other. Like, I can set my lineup and still, like, it made no sense, first of all, grammatically. And two, like, the system is winning, Dickie. So, what you want from me? Hey, ask them are. Listen, it is what it is.
Starting point is 00:26:32 It was flying last week. I want to get back to one thing that we did this. We did a lot of awesome videos on this film trip, but one, we did the gauntlet. We rewrote, we redid it. So they had me become the gauntlet guy. And I have to tell you, the first match right out of the gates out of the gauntlet, me versus J-bone. I think that's some of the most, some of the best content out there, to be honest.
Starting point is 00:26:58 It's, Joe, you're right. That gauntlet's going to be. Having Joe do it, like that people aren't don't going to be wrong. It's been great. People love that. But it was cool mixing it up. I won't say who blundered. The person who loses the first one is one of the worst blunders of all time from the situations that they were in.
Starting point is 00:27:17 It's an all-time boss job from one guy taking an OB drop. And another guy being 10 feet from the green. You're right, Joe. That is really, really good stuff. Thank you, right, folks. Sorry, I'm trying to have a podcast for a moment to let you know. This podcast is brought to you by the five folks over at Seekkeek. A lot of sports in action right now.

Starting point is 00:27:58 get today. It's BDS Podcast 10, the number one rated ticket and app in the game. There's stuff that we got, like, I'm very confident. I know people are getting a little anxious about the content coming, but when we do, when it does start coming out, like some awesome, awesome stuff that we have coming out. Even before you were, Bob was sick for a couple days. Even before you got there, Bob, it was me and FP.
Starting point is 00:28:22 We did a 1B1 match that FP played unbelievable. I mean, all the stuff we got, we did a, wonky drinking one where we did do like a birdie or shotgun brew like we have some really good stuff coming out and i think that Halloween episode was one of the most fun i've ever had i just i've been going like on the last few nights i just go through my camera roll and i just watch videos of bob dressed up like ronald it is maybe one i just start howling of laughter one of the funniest things i've ever seen just this guy parading around him me f p i all that i'm of us like a bunch of clowns out there just absurd yeah the only other thing i forgot to say about
Starting point is 00:29:06 because we do give jensen a lot of shit i want to go back i sometimes i forget how young he is because i just feel like he's our age like we're like so much old i'm like seven years or eight years older than you and everybody else is even older like so you still have that youthful belief at a certain age like reality will set in about like your capabilities what you can do in this life like your ceiling like it so you just haven't hit that yet but everybody all of us have you know lived through life has beaten us down enough to where we know the truth and reality and it's coming but we should we should give you a little more credit now because you're a child did we not say in one of the episodes like i think jensen and i are 16 years i didn't mean it like that bobby but you got
Starting point is 00:29:48 to see how it comes off you come off i that's how i talk i when i said a child but there's something that Jensen does to you. Pop, you see it. There's something that he does that just drives jet. And he's so good at what he does and so nice and cordial. There's some things that I see, but you. It's not in there. It was from the oldies. It was the attitude from the old days.
Starting point is 00:30:17 That's what it was. Jensen, did we not say in that one episode that we were talking about, Like, I'm 16 years older, I think, than Jensen is. So, like, when Luca's 16, he'll be the same. It'll be like Jensen and me, but Jensen and Luca. So I was like, maybe Jensen will still be run at Bob to sports. And Luca will be like the new. If somebody for the fans that hearing, hearing Jett talking, you would think Jensen's doing an awful job.
Starting point is 00:30:45 No, he's been great. He's been amazing, which is why Jett does that. Like, I don't think Jett would do that if he was doing an awful job. be different. It's, he, he's doing an amazing job, but you wouldn't know.
Starting point is 00:30:58 He's doing a great job. Yeah. He's doing, but I, I give him credit all the time. He's, he works incredibly hard. He's very,
Starting point is 00:31:05 he does stuff that none of us know how to do and he's always available and he always handles it. I, you know, we just have this, I'm a tough, I'm tough to impress,
Starting point is 00:31:13 but I am, it's, it's, this is not like out of nowhere, though, like this has had an attitude for a long time. There's times where I, I,
Starting point is 00:31:21 I'm like, oh God, Jensen, why would you say that? Like you're screwing yourself. I see it happening. It's like, oh, don't do that. Don't say that. But you're doing a great job, Bo. He knows it. Come on.
Starting point is 00:31:34 Thank you, yeah. I'm really bad at receiving compliments, so I don't know what to say. Well, yeah. Even that cut under his skin. Yeah. Oh, whoa. You and myself, you guys are overplaying. If you would have said this two years ago, when he, when, when they're,
Starting point is 00:31:51 when like there was more friction in the sense of like I had I legit had like he was it's like you and me Bob when when you said that I was so talented but I was fucking nuts and he thought I was out of my mind it's like that on a smaller scale because he's not as crazy as I was but there's this like in the same way that you thought that I was knew everything and I was telling you like all this stuff and which I've uh over time admitted that I was out of line and I was wrong in that sense just on a smaller scale. And I'm not as, as, uh, patient as you. Fair.
Starting point is 00:32:27 Oh, yeah. I mean, in your defense, when push came to shove, when we really came to blows you, you took it on the chin. I love a guy that's, that's coachable that you could have tough love on, you know? Yeah, I think everybody's like, I think Jen's, yeah, like, Jensen is too. Yeah. And I don't want, I, I'm being depicted as like an abusive boss here. It's just not the case.
Starting point is 00:32:48 Uh, I'll tell you something that I really is. am going to go through. There's a lot going on. Just let Bob H.Q. That is a whole project in itself. I am going to go through with this bagel shop. I'm starting the bagel shop. What is that? I saw something about that. Bagel Bob, would you call it? I was talking to my friend from high school. His dad, his name is Dimitri. His dad runs the Randolph Diner, which is probably one of the most successful diners in New Jersey. They do weddings there now. The food's amazing. He started a bagel shop and they make unbelievable bagels. They just started a bagel shop in Del Rey. They're very, very good with bagels. Their bagels are amazing. They've taken the
Starting point is 00:33:34 same thing and they've been able to bring that exact bagel to Florida. They had been looking in the Jupiter area and I really do think that the Jupiter area is lacking a really good, you know, pop those stick bagels. I mean, He cuts, even having the bagels down there, but those thick, real good bagels, he and his family would be the people to do it. And to do what Bob does bagels, I think could really, really good. Now, maybe it could be a complete flop, but I really do think the market's there for it. I think his family would be perfect to do it with, and I really, really want to do it. If I kick that 40-yard field goal, I want a piece of that bagels.
Starting point is 00:34:16 I want a piece of that. I would want, by the way, when I put up the story today, the amount of people that want to do it, like, Palisic hit me up immediately. He said he would want a big, like, I think a lot of people would want in it. We have such a big demographic down there that I really think it is such a good idea in no brain. Obviously, that business is hard, but they run it. That's what they do. They've been in that business. And it's not like I would have to be in the operation as much, just promote it, market it.
Starting point is 00:34:46 I would want all you guys to invest it to be a part of it for sure. You know what I was thinking is when it comes, because I saw, I saw your video, but I didn't really put two and two, like I like scrolled through it. But owning a restaurant is one of the only places where like you get that feedback. It's almost like leaving a YouTube video where like people like view your video and then they like leave their comment about their opinion on your video. The only other place that happens is food.
Starting point is 00:35:16 and restaurants. And that's slightly concerning. With that being said, you make delicious bagels. Nobody's going to have an issue. But I was just thinking about that today. That's all I have to say. Yeah, we were talking about it today, like, just knowing, like, these bagels, they're so good to where if they're just able to bring that same thing,
Starting point is 00:35:35 and then, like, we'd want to do a lunch menu with a really good chicken Caesar rep and have a place that goes beyond just Bob the Sports. that a regular, you know, person who doesn't know Bob, the sport goes in there and Jupiter is like, oh my God, this place is amazing. I'm really confident that we can do it the right way. I think it would be a lot of work. You just do a breakfast lunch and you're closed for dinner. Correct. And then I think you, you know, I'd like to get my hands a little dirty in there too.
Starting point is 00:36:02 Yeah. Yeah. And, you know, I was talking about you do some competitive analysis of the, you know, the other markets and other restaurants in the air. I'd really delve deep. I'd want to be involved to some extent. Like that'd bring back the old Joey D, you know. Watch you go in there and Joe's like in a suit like running the restaurant.
Starting point is 00:36:19 We're like Joe, it's bagel shop. I think you'd be really good, Joe. I would want you to be a part of it. Menu, menu configuration. You know, I would really want to make sure the consistency of these bagels, bro. What kind of menu configuration are we talking about, man? All different kind of smears. We got the sesame.
Starting point is 00:36:40 But no, but you could do breakfast sandwiches. you could do different smears. I would really, I'd have a lot of fun with it, man. And then watching the assembly line, watching the consistency of each bagel coming out, like perfect each time. It'd be fun, man. So you are right.
Starting point is 00:36:56 You've had your issue with bagels down here and bagels everywhere is that nobody seems to be able to replicate the New York, New Jersey bagel down here. So how are you going to be that guy? Otherwise, you're going to be eating your own bagels and being like, this isn't it. Correct. Because they've done,
Starting point is 00:37:12 like in poppies and Del Rey they have. They've done it. He's told me it's like it's really not the water. What it is, I don't know. I have a call with them to go and further. But they have done it. They have taken that bagel and they brought it there. The thick, like you know, when you got that saran wrap popper, not the saran wrap,
Starting point is 00:37:31 the tin foil and you know you've got a thick bagel. That. So in my notes, I put just things that I would really want to be hands on are the home fries. I'd want to really have the home fries. The Caesar Wrap, as similar to Vinnie's as possible. Good French fries. I wouldn't mind the double-coded. And then also, in their other shops, they've done subs.
Starting point is 00:37:57 Like, they have a place in Randolph. Randolph has some of the strongest bagel competitions out there. They did subs, and their subs are amazing. I agree with you, Joe. You close it after lunch. It's breakfast and lunch. but I think we could crush it. And I say we, because I really would want all of us to be invested.
Starting point is 00:38:16 We're going to lose this guy to a fucking bagel shop, man. We're going to lose him. No. You don't have to become a punter. You just transition to bagels after Bob to Sports. And that's what everybody's future looks like. It's a lot. It's a lot with HQ.
Starting point is 00:38:31 It would be the bagels, the streaming. But I do like, I really feel strongly about this. I really, really do. So, you know, we'll see. What do I think? Yeah, what do you think, Pop? You're a big bagel guy. I love it.
Starting point is 00:38:48 I mean, based on, you know, if he was just saying that we should start a bagel shop ourselves, I'd be very concerned. But the fact that he's saying that he's got these guys who are very trusted in an area that's very competitive with that already, I mean, it sounds like a great idea, honestly. The guy loves food, too. I mean, he'd be very passionate about running it correctly. Yeah, I would. Yeah, I would really want to make sure the bagels.
Starting point is 00:39:10 Because look, look, if it doesn't work, you know, I was talking to Josh about it. You look like a fucking asshole. Like, if it doesn't work, it's bad. Bad look on the brand. Like, you have to make sure it works. I really have so much comp. They are so proven in the bagel world of how good they've been. I was either thinking that or like the Jupiter diner.
Starting point is 00:39:28 But the diner then involves dinner and that's a re. It's also so much larger menu, too. I mean, yeah, it's. Well, diner is also like a restaurant. You got to have full blue. servers. You could do a bagel shop, you don't have to have servers. You can do over the counter. The thing with the restaurant, it's a lot of fun, but you have got to mitigate the fact that like how involved you need to be. So like you want to have a presence. You want to be involved. But it will end up consuming you.
Starting point is 00:39:59 If you don't have the right people, well, it sounds like Bob Scott, those people. If you don't have that, it could take over your whole life, which is why I've always wanted to open a restaurant. but I've been very hesitant because it could just take over everything you got. Yeah, I think a restaurant is just a different world. I'm talking to Plistic about it today because he really does. He, who wants him, but like him, and he had mentioned to me opening a restaurant, but like, that is a lot, dude. When you have the dinner rush and, like, that's why I think bagels is so perfect. This is what they do.
Starting point is 00:40:28 They have a staff. They would take care of all that back end and we just promote the hell out of it. I think would be cool. Let's do a couple of cues for the, for the Q&A there, Jay. All right, first question comes from Dylan two fox. So this is question for a ganyamanin ticket. Out of Joey, FP, and Bob, who's the best cameraman? So when they fill it in to do a quick shot, who's the best camera man?
Starting point is 00:40:56 I don't know. I'm not familiar with their work too much. I think maybe Perez. I don't, I'm trying to think of when they've handed. F.P's done it the most. But I don't know. I think you're pretty good, Bob. I, you know, people jump around, but I think you're right from the camera.
Starting point is 00:41:13 He doesn't get me anywhere near. I do think, like, I guess your safest bet being that FP, like, does the drone, which I guess is kind of like a production standpoint, that that would probably be your best bet from like a technology standpoint, you know? I would see Perez, but I don't, it's, it's, it's undiscil. There's not enough sample size, to be honest. Sure. Okay. Next cue. All right. This one's for Bob.
Starting point is 00:41:39 It's a little bit of an of a little bit of an ask Bob here. But does Bob know what HEMDOS is? But what? You guys? It's for math. I'll give you it's for math. Hendos? Hemdoss.
Starting point is 00:41:55 The Canadians, they probably didn't teach it in Canada, if I'm being honest. It's like the American, I mean, I'll tell you what it is and then you can say what it stands for. Okay. Well, no, it's for, it's for, can I say it Jensen? Yeah. It's for, it's for the order of operations in math. Oh, like parentheses. Yes.
Starting point is 00:42:15 But what is the sentence that they use to make it clear? In Canada, they might not do it. Bob, the fact that you don't know this is tough. I'll be honest. Bro, I, sorry to bring up the Brindley Dump Show, Jensen. But on the Rondley Dumb Show, if you look at the last ass box segments, I haven't hit one in a long time. Did you hit one?
Starting point is 00:42:39 Was there one that you hit one? Oh, yeah. I've hit some. but like not the last Joe how many of the last ass Bob maybe the last six run maybe it's been a tough run for the do you remember any of the ones that you did get what did you get uh fuck Joe help me out here I definitely did get a few
Starting point is 00:42:55 but but um you got close with the oceans you were close with that one right the ocean yeah but there's one there's ones that I've gotten flat out the one that I thought the consonants was a tough one that you didn't get that was tough the uh but there's some that he's got close like you mean like gaming the vowels i said i i asked him i was like a e i oh and you are all vowels what are the other letters in the l alpha and he didn't know but he's gotten close like the the mount rushmore he got three out of four and then he went with
Starting point is 00:43:28 all gore yeah i can't count that because that was really bad three out of four is not bad it's not but then to ruin it the way that next week we have doms coming on to do are you smarter than a fifth grader and it's funny because he's in first grade. I didn't think about that. Mikey's like, there's one problem. Dom's only in first grade, and I was like, oh, that's true. But yeah, it'll be good.
Starting point is 00:43:47 Mikey says he's a minus 175 favor. Seems like a smart kid, honestly. Smart, he is. And a dumb guy. All right, let's do one more, J-Bomb. All right, so what is everyone's hottest NFL takes? Hottest NFL takes? Oh, I got one.
Starting point is 00:44:10 I think people got a chill. I mean, don't get me wrong, they had an amazing week, but NFL is such a week-to-week league. They got to chill on Scatibo and Dart. Like, there's a long way to go. Like, people are acting now, like, the Giants have it. They have their answer. Don't get me wrong.
Starting point is 00:44:28 Darts looked really good, but it's like, just chill for a second. We got a long way to go. I noticed you, I dropped Scatabo like an idiot after week one, and you picked him up there, Bobbo. Yeah, I had to make a move because my quarterbacks had been hurt. See, but pop, you have pride in the league.
Starting point is 00:44:46 Like, I hate when they say the league does. I'm saying, no, you're not into. But, like, the not wanting to get last to have to do the pancake challenge. The pride, I really enjoy it. You know, you talk shit to each other throughout the week. Pops into it. The D-Man's into it. Like, I really do enjoy it.
Starting point is 00:45:05 But Jensen, we were talking, should get the nod. I agree. He should be in it for sure. I don't know a lot of players, but sure, I'll play. You'll have all kickers and punters. Just believe. I have a hot take. I don't think the Philadelphia Eagles are a very good football team.
Starting point is 00:45:21 Whoa. I don't think that's that hot. Pop, you all. I agree with Pop. They have a lot of internal issues. It's quite a chilly take. The A.J. Brown situation is getting worse by the day. I think Jaylor hurts.
Starting point is 00:45:36 You see Zadarius Smith just fucking retired out of it? of nowhere. You're tired? Why are people getting more and more comfortable with mid-season retirement? You guys play six games and he's retiring. Dude, Pop was hard on the Eagles, like, until they won the Super Bowl, he was on their ass. I tried, though. You came up to me a couple times this year, and you're like, the Eagles are still the real deal.
Starting point is 00:45:58 And I tried to be like, yeah, you know what? They do look really. Like, I tried to get on their side, but they look like shit. They're still. They have been to three Super Bowls in like six years. years. They are the current besides the chiefs. I wasn't aware we were talking about the past. I thought we were talking about this NFL. But pop, all those seasons looked exactly the same as this one and you bemoaned your way all the way through them. They were like 9 and 0 last year and they lost to the
Starting point is 00:46:26 Giants, which every good team, no one goes fucking 17 and oh. Teams that start off, they always have a fucking trap game and you just trash them. I agree. Super Bowl. Pop, you guys have the same record as the bills. And then we're watching the Yankees playoff game. And I think it was Ryan McMahon goes for a pop-up and literally slips and falls and almost drops the ball. And pop turns out of me. He's like, man, you're really hard on them, aren't you? Well, he made a miraculous play. But he looked like he ran 100 yards first of all to get there. And then he slipped backwards and still made it. But he went from third base to dug out. And he almost, he literally
Starting point is 00:47:04 almost slipped and fell. But like, you made one hell of a play, Bob. One hell of a play. Bob, you ride, like, you're so hard on the Eagles where you got to let. I know. Coming off a Super Bowl, they're in first place. Like, I actually think, and I think people are way, I see what you're saying, Joe. They don't, they haven't looked great. But like, people are so hard on Jalen Hertz. Like, I still think Jalen Hertz is really good.
Starting point is 00:47:26 Because you know, you got to watch every snap with this guy, Bob. He can't get through his reads. He goes, he goes through one read, and then he tucks and runs. He's an inaccurate thrower of the football. He's great when he takes off and run. He's got great vision. and he's great with the ball in his hands when he's a runner. He's not a great passer of the football.
Starting point is 00:47:43 And people just see a Super Bowl win and think great quarterback immediately. But if you watch him, he is not a great quarterback. He doesn't need to be a great quarterback. They won the Super Bowl with him and they go to the Super Bowl. Didn't they go a few years before and they lost? Like they're always like as the Chiefs. They've been twice. But as like a fan of a different team, it's like so hard to hear you complain about this.
Starting point is 00:48:08 team, which is I'm not saying that they're not still good enough to go to a Super Bowl. I'm saying that he is a very flawed person. So for people to say to me all the time how great he is, I just, it just, I can't reconcile it in my brain because they're not. I understand that. And that leads me to my, the only hot take I would say, I don't even know if it's hot and I'm not going to do a ridiculous one. Like I know you want Bob, but I think the chiefs are, are not done.
Starting point is 00:48:35 And they will be back and they will be sitting there at the end. this week. I'm saying, and I know it's not as hot now that they beat the Lions, but like every year this happens, they say they're done. They've lost, they've looked worse than they ever have, but they're going to be sitting in the, in the AFC championship against the bills, and we'll see what happens.
Starting point is 00:48:52 Mahomes is a dog, dude. By the way, the Packers aren't very good either, Pop. I think the Packers are totally overhyed. I did too. I think the very good. You guys, the two teams you guys are describing are top seven teams in the NFL. The Packers are lost to the Brown. They completely derailed.
Starting point is 00:49:09 Then they couldn't beat the fucking the cowboys. Their defense looked as bad as I've ever seen. And then they play the fucking Joe Blacko and the Bengals and they almost are better off getting. Both of you guys are better off getting these losses out the way in week six and seven and adjusting. And then being around at the end of the year. This happens to every, nobody goes 17. No. And the NFL, there's so much like parity between the teams that like a shitty team beats a good team.
Starting point is 00:49:36 I am not worried about the last. I am not worried about the losses. I'm worried about the way the team looks during a loss or a win, which is why when the Eagles are winning, you saw me still complaining because I'm looking at play that has clear holes in it. So I'm not so concerned with the four and two record and losing two of their last two. I'm more concerned with the way they look on the field that has resulted in a couple of losses. But my hot take, and you're going to think I'm kidding, and I say it a lot,
Starting point is 00:50:01 I think the Bears are going to make the playoffs. Oh my God. I love the Bears this year. I love Caleb Williams. I thought Dandre Swift ran with a lot of heart last night. I like this team, man. I like this team. Ben Johnson's starting to find his way here.
Starting point is 00:50:19 You're out of your coaching. I hope they make the playoffs, but you want to talk about a quarterback who doesn't have it. Like, this guy can't hit an open recede. He cannot hit open guys. Like he's not, I'm telling you, they won the game last night or on Monday night whatever this is coming out.
Starting point is 00:50:35 That's not, yeah. Hopefully because the commanders gave them the ball on the last play of the game, and they couldn't even go down. They could barely get down and kick a field goal. Listen, what time will tell. I thought Moody was going to miss that field goal. The Bears are the Bears. Like, there's certain things that go on forever because they're the bears.
Starting point is 00:50:57 Like, they can't convert in the red zone. They can't get in the end zone. They go down and they take three points when they should get seven. That never changes. I've been, I believe when I see it. I have been, I have fallen in love with the NFL under. If I see 49 and a half, it's over, dude. I love the, and it's just never dead.
Starting point is 00:51:19 Yeah, like the Falcons bill, they were scoring so many points, the commanders, and I don't panic. I just stay very calm because I know it's coming back the house's way. That's got my own system. Yeah, I've got my own system. What about the fact that the Patriots have a chance to win the AFC East? I'm not mine. Me neither.
Starting point is 00:51:40 Drake May looks amazing, though. It is such a week-to-week league. It's funny. I know. They'll have a bad game and then everyone will trash them. I know. Now, I pop, regarding the Eagles, though, the A.J. Brown situation is alarming. It's a little strange and it's alarming.
Starting point is 00:51:55 And I feel like to me, being honest, it's a top-down organization. When your coach is a little cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs, your team becomes. a little out of control and your coach has no control over that team and he's a huge problem. I'm saying he's a wacky out so it's like guys underneath him think that they can get goofy too because their coach is goofy and when your QB needs to meet the one calming down the coach he got issues now they still won the Super Bowl so like you can't really complain but I want to talk about a goofy coach dude take a look at Miami man did you see Tua going off on that situation and it was a bad look for Tua because he threw three picks but but he's also not wrong
Starting point is 00:52:30 about the situation what did he say he is supposed to be the league. Tua is it supposed to be the leader of that team. He's the quarterback. Yeah, but you expect the coach to not be a clown. I mean, you expect him to at least represent you in a way that isn't, isn't laughable week in and week out. Also, too, like Tua, and I agree that's probably not wrong, but as the leader, you can't bring that type of negativity even more. Like, it just opens the door to bring in so much. And AJ Brown said, what really bothered me with AJ Brown, the Eagles were like four and oh, and he was complaining in the locker room and it looked so selfish because it's like granted they they should get him the ball more like they're showing time three's clearly open but it's like it looks so bad when you're complaining yeah and you're four and oh like it looked so bad it's indicative of a larger problem but yeah i've always
Starting point is 00:53:20 but i agree yes it does come off to selfish i would agree from a team dynamic i've legit always wondered like if a player goes to the media because as a viewer you just see like they're a football team they play together they're on a team that come out every one week they practice it whatever if if toa goes in and says that shit and then he's got to go in the locker room and like these guys are looking at them like what the fuck are you saying it like that's got to be a problem from other players seeing their quote unquote leader talk like you know what I mean like that's got to create friction in a team and like it seems like the good teams don't they have leaders and they don't typically fight with each other but who knows all right well ladies and gentlemen that there's a nice fun episode of the bob does sports podcast here.
