Hey, John. Hi. Democrats are up seven in the generic ballot against Republicans. Many are worried
that they're on their way to a bruising defeat in the midterms. But help is on the way.
Trump has a $400 million war chest. He sure does. That he has promised to deploy to help Republicans.
We have an ad by a Trump super PAC that is coming to make the case for these Republicans who are on the ballot.
He is the toughest, most resilient person that I've ever met, and nothing was going to stop him from fighting so hard for the country he loves.
When the world needs courage, vision, and inspiration, it is still turning to America.
There is no challenge Americans cannot overcome, no frontier too vast for us to conquer.
And our top priority will be to create a nation that is proud, prosperous, and free.
I have a lot of thoughts on that.
For all the discussion in some of these stories about we need ads to tout his accomplishments,
there was no accomplishment touting in that ad at all.
No.
There was no.
It was just glazing Donald Trump.
It seems like it's an ad that someone walked into the Oval Office and showed him because he asked for an ad.
about how good things are, how good he is.
Doesn't even talk about how good things are.
Yeah, I guess it doesn't.
It doesn't even say, it actually doesn't even say nice things about, it was like,
it's a mood ad.
Joe Rogan is saying, or I'm sorry, Dana White is saying he has courage.
It was a plane flying over a canyon.
Right.
It's sort of moody positive.
Moody positive.
Nothing else.
No.
Like AI could have made a better at.
AI may have been involved heavily.
But so I don't, so he just, he really does seem to want to lose the midterms.
He just doesn't seem to have any interest in doing anything.
Yeah.
I don't think he wants, like I don't think he wants to lose.
I think he might be resigned that these Republicans who don't do everything he says, even though they kind of do, are going to cost him the midterms.
And he is already thinking of ways to separate himself from the Republicans.
They refused to do the Save Act.
Yeah.
So the election.
So they sort of sealed their own.
fate. They're not doing enough to talk about all their Trump accomplishments.
Yep. What else have they not done that he's pissed about?
Like, that's the thing. I don't even, when he talks about, oh, the Republicans are bad,
blah, blah, blah, like, he doesn't even have any real fights that he's picking outside of the
SAVE Act. Yeah, he sort of, yeah, that's it. Right now it is just the SAVE Act.
Which, there are some, he's mad about some appointments, right?
Because they're, they're holding pro forma Senate, Senate sessions, which prevent him from doing recess
appointments. I think they're just a receptacle for his own bad approval ratings. Like, it's just
his way to explain why he's not more popular. Yes. Now, while Republicans head for what seems like
end times in Congress, J.D. Vance sat town with Christian podcast host Bryce Crawford to talk about
faith, AI, and revelation of a different sort. Do I think that we're in the end times? I don't know.
that it's probably bad for me spiritually to focus too much on it. I think that there are like
things about the world that make me feel like not shocked if the Antichrist was was walking among us.
But again, I try not to focus too much on it. What I'm trying to focus on is doing as much
of God's work as possible right now. And if that leads to the end times, okay?
No, not okay. Not okay. I don't think he has a firm grasp of revelations.
The end times, the anti-Christ.
I also, it's shocking to me that he's focused on doing God's work.
I didn't realize God's work was putting ankle monitors and chains on Haitians who were in this country legally and sending them back to a violent war zone.
There's a really sad story this week about a young guy who came to this country legally, did everything the right way.
and seems to have been so distraught at the possibility of being sent back to Haiti that he walked into traffic and his dad.
Meanwhile, they are bragging about what they're doing to these people.
They're putting out their version of immigration snuff films about how they're sending all these people back to Haiti
and disrupting their lives, disrupting the communities in which they contribute all to serve this massive,
they're trying to hit even after saying that they were going to go after the worst of the worst.
These are people who followed every rule.
Also, he would say, well, I have to focus on Americans first because he thinks,
he believes in some interpretation of the Bible where you're supposed to care about your family
first and then your neighborhood and then your country and then later other people if there's time,
which the, you know, the Pope quickly rejected.
But even if you want to talk about Americans, like is doing God's work, the Medicaid cuts that are about to go into effect or the tariffs or the inflation or anything that has like pushed a whole bunch of very needy people, low income people, many of them who voted for him and Donald Trump into poverty?
I don't know.
It doesn't seem like God's work, but who knows?
Yeah, the this idea of, you know, I don't want to think.
too much about whether we're heading towards the end times.
There's this, when I see so many people like, you turn to like horoscopes and astrology
and there's a lot of like kind of, I don't know, loose spiritualism floating about.
And it tends to be disconnected from kind of morals, right?
Like astrology is this kind of vague religion now for a lot of people that's about trying
to make sense of the world in these sort of understandable rules.
and narratives, but, like, he is talking about, like, the great battle between good and evil, right?
That call in the story of the Bible, that culminates in revelation, fine.
The, like, the egotism around, like, oh, look, I try not to think about my role in it, right?
It's like, you're, you're, the whole point of being.
What was the question he was asked?
Do we know?
There was a question about, this was about, like, the, whether the Antichrist
is here and what the end times would be, I believe. But, and Peter Thiel has talked about this.
Of course. Yeah. But like, hey, situating yourself in a great battle between good and evil,
I can think it could be a very valuable thing to do. But if you're actually like,
thinking like, oh, you know, being vice president, boy, I'm not very powerful, could potentially
be bringing about the end times. But when I think about it, it's like, I don't know,
it seems pretty stupid to me. Yeah. Again, I just don't think he has a, is a newly converted
Catholic. I don't feel like he has a
firm a grasp on
did you hear him talk about blood libel?
Oh, yes.
Which I think
he thinks he's take, I think
he is like taking the phrase literally
by meaning like like blood
and soil kind of thing like bloodline
and then like you are liable.
Yeah, the blood. It seemed like
that's what he was saying in that and that. Yeah, it had
to do with that like
yes, he just doesn't understand what it is. Because of your bloodline
because you're Jewish, you're somehow
lie I think liable is
Oh
That's what he means
It's blood liable
He was just like
Somehow it's you are responsible
For something bad
Just because of your bloodline
And it's like that's not what it is
No the blood liable is that we kill Jesus
That's it
We kill Jesus
No that's not either
What's it?
No the blood libel is
That Jews supposedly
Put
Blood on
This is an Old Testament story
On a house
so that when like the angel of death came by,
they would skip over the houses with the blood on it,
but kill the firstborn.
Yeah, that's Passover.
Right, but that, yeah, but that's not Jesus.
That's, that's pre-Jesus.
Yeah, no, I know that, but that's not the blood.
That's not the blood libel.
No, we brag about that.
That's in our, we tell, we tell that story every Passover.
That's part of our thing.
We put the, we put the lamb's blood on our door so that the angel of, so that God would
pass by our door and kill the firstborn of the Egyptians.
The blood libel to me.
Oh, blood libel is a false centuries-old antismitic.
execution, the Jewish people kidnap and murder non-Jewish children to use their blood for religious
rituals. Oh, see, to me, I... The lie evolved to claim this is, it's the Passover. It's evolved from Passover.
Yeah. Oh, see, I always thought it was, I always thought it was about killing Jesus. Well, either way,
I don't think, look, it seems that, it seems like I didn't have a breath. Killing Jesus is just Easter.
That's just Easter, right. Sorry, and you're welcome. It's not just Easter. It's good Friday.
Well, I think, look, I think we've done enough of the catechism today.
Now, you want to learn more about the Old and New Testament.
follow our new Bible pod.
Yeah, man,
being Jewish is great.
You should try it.
Hey, it's John.

Now, speaking of end time,
Sean Duffy and his wife, Rachel Campos Duffy,
sat down for an interview and shared some wisdom
on the birds and the bees.
All right, welcome back to From the Kitchen Table.
Rachel decided to bring up a question about
Sidney's boobs.
Yes.
And the end of wokeness.
If we're honest, we go, men appreciate women.
And men that appreciate women are not toxic.
God made us a certain way to appreciate and want to meet with a woman.
And women are made the same way to want to be with a man.
And I think Sidney is just a reminder that men are still men.
I'm sorry, we are.
And women are still women.
And women are still women.
And that's okay.
What?
What is this whole Sydney Sweeney discourse in response to?
Who complained about Sidney Sweeney and or her boobs?
I don't know.
I think I don't I don't totally understand.
It's like it's a little bit like a phantom coalition on the left that's like,
put those things away.
Yeah.
Right.
No one's saying that.
Actually, like, actually sort of based on, based on woke principles, Sydney Sweeney is not attractive.
We crunch the numbers and because of a combination of privilege and ableism, some sort of, some sort of the math, we checked out the math and not hot.
Woke one was crazy because straight liberal men were not even allowed to enjoy Sydney Sweeney in any kind of way.
Yes.
I just sort of like, hey man, Sidney Sweeney is a very beautiful person.
That is sort of universally agreed.
That's why you know who she is.
She is famous, right?
Because she's a talented actor and very good looking.
If she weren't talented and or not good looking, you would not know who she is.
She does have large boobs.
And she does, you know, things that I'm not really, I don't see that.
But I understand that that might be the case.
There's nothing really deep about you thinking she's hot.
It doesn't teach you anything about the nature of men are still men and women are still women.
What does that mean?
Sidney Sweeney is a reminder that men are men.
What a service Sidney-Sweeney is providing.
I wonder she knew when she woke up on this day that she was performing this important service about the nature of gender itself.
It was stupid.
It is stupid to the whole discourse around the jeans ad.
was stupid.
The idea that to try to make Sydney Sweeney a token of right-wing politics
because she's blonde and hot.
And I find it like it's just ridiculous.
And you can, it's like, I'm horny for Sidney Sweeney, parenthesis, biblical, religious.
Is from The Kitchen Table?
Is that their new podcast?
Is that a show?
Is that a video series?
Are we going to get to enjoy that?
I think that's their show now.
That's the kind of thing they were doing.
I don't know.
There's a lot of content coming out from the cabinet.
We have their show.
You have Arcade Jr.
They later talked about having their let's fuck playlist.
Like a playlist that gets them in the mood that they, I guess, I guess when they, when they have sex, they listen to a certain playlist.
Imagine it's a lot of foo fighters and I don't know.
Whatever else they were listening to in the real world house in Boston, I guess.
Hey man, you know, Pavea Road.
Why are we doing the transportation part of this?
I talked with this, I'd love to leave it last night.
Can you imagine if Pete Buttigieg had just done an interview with Chastin?
And he's just like, let me just tell you something.
Boy, do I want to fuck that, that Timothy Shalbant?
It's like, what?
Fucking, the air traffic controllers use of floppy disks.
Can we focus?
And here's what Chastin and I listen to.
Yeah.
So, so thank you for having me, Rachel Maddow.
We love jazz when we're fucking.
Yeah.
Anyway, before we go, let's just check in with one other deeply normal official in the Trump administration, the U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia.
Good morning, Brian.
Is that just the bar?
Oh, it might just be the bar.
That's pretty good.
It's pretty good for her age.
I want.
Who's that guy?
Yeah, there we go.
There you go.
So, Janine, Judge, Judge, Justice, Judge Judge, Justice.
Future Chief Justice.
Yeah, future Supreme Court Judge Janine Piro.
I just want to talk about form, all right?
And I think you're cheating yourself a little bit.
I think we've got to slow down these reps.
We've got to slow down these reps.
Maybe three seconds down.
I'd like to see, I'd like to see some, I'd like you to slow down at the bottom of the
rep.
I'd like you to maybe even slow down at the top of the rep for a bit.
I'd like to see, I think it's great to get to 10 reps.
I think that's impressive.
I think she should feel proud of yourself,
but it's not about the number of reps.
All right.
It's about the quality of the reps.
Let's slow this down.
All right.
Look, I think she's just reminded us
that men are men or women and women are women.
And she's just providing,
she's a role model for,
she's saying, you know,
RFK Jr.
And fucking Pete Hegseth and all these jackass men
that are doing their show in their lifting weights.
I can do that too.
Yeah.
So she's a,
I think she's a feminist hero, actually.
I agree.
I agree.
And she's hung over.
Look what she's doing.
And she's hung over. And she's also showing that the gerontocracy still got some left in it.
Just like Ed Markey did last night. Yeah, just like Ed Markey. Yeah, congrats to Ed Markey for, for proving that.
No daylight savings time on him. Yeah. No, right. Yeah. Son's not setting there.
Not putting the clocks back on Ed Markey. Those clocks are moving forward on Ed Markey.
But I'll tell you, between now and the end of the world, do us a favor and subscribe to
this channel. We're trying to get good and useful and entertaining information in front of more
people at a time when there's a lot of right-wing misinformation and propaganda out there.
You're helping support an independent pro-democracy media company.
Where else are you going to find Janine Piro benching?
That's right. Yeah, nowhere else.
