I actually heard the other day about a couple who met on Nextdoor. Really? They were both complaining about some other neighbor's loud music. And so they met up, they had some wine together, and next thing you know, they're married.

okay that's cool. So you're a cat owner. Yeah, I have a calico cat named Molly. Okay. It's kind of a smart place for men to go. Honestly. It's their people. Yeah.

I love cats, so maybe I should get on this thing. I know, you were just on a cat Facebook group the other day that you were showing me. I'm in several cat Facebook groups. Back off. Even though you don't own a cat. I know, but I still like looking at them. They're so cute. Which one of the guys that's on the app did you match with? showing me i'm in several facebook groups back off even though you don't own a cat i know but i still like looking at them they're so cute which which one of the guys that's on the app did you match with who's he so i matched with this guy named seth and so we started talking

is there a lot of like cat puns and stuff when you start talking to somebody on a cat dating app or does the cat get your tongue yeah you know we're kind of nerdy yeah i like it i mean that's cute that's where you're supposed to nerd out this is where the ball of yarn emoji gets used the most in these conversations i knew there was something yeah that makes so much sense okay so how was your connection with seth uh we had fun banter cool, I was interested. And we made a date to meet up at a bar. Okay. And what was the initial moment? Like, I'm always so interested in that. Like, you've never seen someone face to face, and then you're there. Yeah, I mean, I thought he was really cute. I thought we hit it off right away. Speaking of nerdy cat things uh when i first met him i thought it would be kind

of funny if i like licked the back of my hand and then you know like patted his hair down like a cat did did you really lick or did you just pretend lick because i do that you know pretend lick um i think i licked my hand. You really did. Okay. You've got to fully commit if you're a cat lover. I guess. What was his response?

Did you hiss at him? Did he hiss at you? Did he start purring? No, he just kind of laughed. Okay, he was into it. This is only something you can do if you meet on this app. If you meet someone on Tinder and do this move, it's like, whoa, whoa, whoa, date's over.

Get away from me. He's like, come up with something over get away from me he's like come up with something original the last three ladies i met here did the same thing well it sounds like he has at least the same sense of humor as you do at this point i mean how did the actual date go once you sat down i thought it went really well we actually also had yoga in common i'm a super into like health and wellness and we were talking about that well which is also a good sign it's like an opening he's saying i'm interested in something you're really into meaning i want you to show me more about it every guy wants to see a girl do her yoga yeah that is true so how

did the date end well we were having a great time and then i had to go home and i had to feed my cat and he didn't seem like a creep so i thought it would be okay if i invited him back to my place to meet your cat on the first day is that a big step for cat owners wait what did your cat think well that was the thing i was really nervous because my cat doesn't get along with everybody she can be a little aggressive sometimes moody molly over there i like that but she loved him she was like going right up to him and letting him pet her oh that's great that's so cute you have to take that as a pretty good sign more like mellow molly jeff all of a sudden and yeah he stayed for a little bit and we were just talking he didn't spend the night or anything but i thought we had a really great

date overall was there any like intimate time or Make out session? Did you fool around is what she's trying to say? No, we were mostly just talking. Okay, that's nice and respectful. Brooke's really disappointed. I'm not disappointed. Just don't fully understand it, but okay. You're kind of a psychopath.

The cat liked him, why aren't you helping him? Maybe that's why I'm more of a dog person. Looking back on the whole night, Janine, is there anything that stuck out to you as maybe the red flag or the reason that he wouldn't be reaching out? I don't know. I'm like, maybe he thought I was actually very weird

when I did that little cat move in the beginning, or maybe he didn't like my cat. I don't know, but it's been like nine or ten days and I haven't heard from him. Oh, yeah. Do you think that he, I mean, honestly, do you think he just has too many options on the cat dating site? I've never thought about it like that. Yeah. But I thought that we had a really nice connection and I thought he was really genuine.

So I'm just kind of surprised. Okay. Doesn't sound like it was a catastrophe. Lisa, I was saving that one. All right. I was really hoping we wouldn't have to end on that, but we're out of time. Seth to her fur baby, which went really well. Her fur baby being her cat, which went really well. Took it all being her cat. Which went really well. Took it all as good signs. Or the weird child. I wasn't thinking child, Jose. Not at all.

like it literally never happens she doesn't like anybody and so I mean that's one of the big reasons that I'm reaching out to it kind of felt like fate she and the cat liked you you got i know i know i i knew the cat was gonna like me that's not really like the believe me why why do you say that yeah i'll put it to you this way i was reading this like um it's like a men's blog just to sort of dating advice kind of like tips and stuff okay um if you're looking for certain dating apps with like a certain ratio of like girls to guys you got to look in like certain corners so like the cat app kind of fit pretty perfectly because like there's not there's way fewer guys on there than there are so you're not even into cats? I don't actually have a cat.

How did you know the cat was going to like you then if you don't even have a cat? Well, I use a cheat code. I put a little catnip in my pocket. You are a drug dealer. A drug dealer for felines.

I guess in a way, yeah, I do keep something on me, I guess. Oh, Janine! Did you have any idea? No, and I also don't understand. You posted a bunch of pictures of your cat, and then we literally talked about your cat for half of the conversation.

I mean, I like cats, but that's my sister's cat. So you were just looking to get laid. He's got it all down to a science, though. This is like a weird catfishing situation somehow. Catfishing! Catfishing with actual cats. This is amazing.

We all got it. We all got it. I'm so excited. That was kind'm so excited that was kind of good that was kind of good can i just say i'm generally uncomfortable with this whole setup but that was a decent joke oh my god janine you doing okay oh man i mean i'm actually really upset because i really like you and so it sounds like number one you're a pathological liar, and two, that you're just going around and you're toying with people's emotions. Right. I knew he would get upset. He did say he was a bad person.

He owned up to this. He tried to get out, and you reeled him in. And I'll give you props that you didn't follow through with this. I'll let you hook up with her, took advantage of it. He would have that night if she was willing. But she's too sweet. He can't do it to her. Oh, he would have. Give me a break. I don't know.

I mean, from everything that we've heard, the connection that you two had was real. The only thing that he lied about was owning a cat, which just turns out to be his sister's, and having the catnip in his pockets. Other than that, it was genuine. Yeah, but he came in like janine took it as they had a good connection and that there was going to be a further relationship like she wanted to develop something he just wanted a one-night stand but he didn't even do that but he would have but he didn't i mean you're all you're all right i did like her we didn't hook up because i would

have felt bad i i know that that's not what she's looking for. So I figured it'd be easier if we just like had a really nice night and then never talked again after that. Well, but I mean, I just don't understand if you like her, you respect her, you think she's beautiful, you get along with her cat, then why not at least see her one more time? Right. The catnip. She knows the truth. Right. The shtick is what you're saying see if there's actually a real connection there i mean janine are you even open to that anymore
