Because we just started our summertime dare challenges. Yes, I did mine yesterday. I am done. Oh man. You're lucky.
Starting point is 00:03:11 So gross. If you don't know what tuna claw is, disgusting. You're going to find out. And you never need to try it out yourself. I can guarantee you that. Head on over to that YouTube page to watch. And for right now, sit back and enjoy this. We do a lot of dating segments on this show, trying to help out single people,
Starting point is 00:03:30 but dating with kids, that's a whole different beast. Yeah, we don't cover that very often. I know, Brooke's been trying it out on the side for months and she has never seemed more tired than me. Tired like that. Is that why you're like this right now? That is not true. I am dating my husband and that is it. Among others. She is never seems more tired Dating my husband
Starting point is 00:03:50 Others but One of our listeners says he is a single dad and he's proud of it Unfortunately that could also have been his downfall and the reason he's not getting a call back and even he admits that it was a mistake What happened? You're gonna hear it in your second date update Zaddy edition coming up next second date update there's a message here It's a jam first of all Playing this old-school songs we got a very special caller on the phone for a second date update He's a proud single dad on the hunt for romance.
Starting point is 00:04:53 This song is about the kid's best friend. His dad. Way to kill like the vibe of the segment before we even started. Cause we the single dad on the line right now Okay, get a second date. His name is gig Sorry, is that right? Yeah, it's gig That's a unique name. Have you heard that song before gig? Yeah, I have it says ringtone Gig welcome to the daycare of love. Tell us about It's his ringtone. Oh. Gigg, welcome to the daycare of love. Tell us about your dating life, bro.
Starting point is 00:05:27 Awesome, guys. Thanks for having me, first off, man. This is a good time, man. All right. You got good vibes. That's sweet, Gigg. Awesome. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:05:35 What's going on? Did you meet somebody you liked? Gosh, okay. Let me tell you about it. Okay, so... People, let me tell you about my son. No! Sorry, you started it, Jeff.
Starting point is 00:05:43 Who'd you meet recently? I met Gabriella. I met her online. Okay. Let me tell you about my first date. Sorry, you started it, Jeff. Who'd you meet recently? I met Gabriella. I met her online. Nice name. What initially attracted you to her? So I have two kids, right?
Starting point is 00:05:55 And I'm a single dad. I got 50-50 custody with them. But let me tell you, I'm a fun dad. I like to do fun things with them. You know what I mean? All the cool stuff happy hour Cool dad Yes, exactly
Starting point is 00:06:15 So when I went out I went out with Gabriella, right? I'm not a huge romantic dinner type of guy So I booked two tickets to the Children's Museum for our date. The Children's Museum? The Kids Museum. Wait, did you bring your kids with you on the first date? No, no, no, no. I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding. Oh! I'm glad.
Starting point is 00:06:36 I was like, bro, what if she... I was like, do we have to pretend that's fun? I could have told you why she's not calling you back. I think all of our expressions change Okay You're funny man. Where did you really go with Gabriella? So we went to dinner and we did go-karts Outdoor track and I've been there with my kids many times before and let me tell you it is a blast Yeah, it's super fun. Did you go to those ones where you actually have to like wear a jumpsuit?
Starting point is 00:07:08 Oh, and like the helmets and stuff? Yeah, yeah, yeah. It was, yes. Oh, okay, let me tell you this. Oh, those are legit. Yeah, this guy, he legitimately rolled out of his car. The ambulance came. What?
Starting point is 00:07:20 And it was, yeah, it was a whole deal, guys. I'm telling you. Why are you laughing? Oh, my gosh. Like casual. Someone was severely injured while you were there? And it was yeah, it was a whole deal guys. I'm telling you Someone was severely injured while you were there. Yeah, I mean, but he was good. He was good Okay, they picked him up. He gave us a thumbs up from afar. He was like Was that a moment between you two yeah Yeah, so after that after they you know, cleared up that little scene, we finished our laughs and we high fived and we hugged, we jumped, we cheered, you know, we went across the street, we grabbed some food.
Starting point is 00:07:55 It was cool, man. And the thing is, though, the thing that I worry about most, it's like, it's keeping me up at night. Yeah. Is that I just I don't think I asked her enough questions. Oh, you talked too much during the day. I see that. Well, I think it is, you know, because during the day we felt a connection, you know, there was such a strong connection that I wanted to share about my kids.
Starting point is 00:08:18 Oh, so you talked about your children a lot. Is she is she a mom? She's not. No, she is not a mom. She does not have any kids But you know she did say that she's open to the idea of dating someone with kids okay, okay? We just get into that a little bit okay, all right Well, I mean I could see that regret and you're a high-energy guy And you're at a higher energy place like you're probably just amped up
Starting point is 00:08:38 You just nearly witnessed somebody die Trying to fill the awkwardness when you guys to dinner, were you able to connect there? Yeah, we did. We talked quite a bit actually. But I wish I would have got to know her a little bit more. Okay. We have a whole lifetime to get to know them if this ends up working out. So I wouldn't keep yourself up about it too much. You're a kid's future mama. You're going to have a lot of time. So tell us about how the date ended.
Starting point is 00:09:04 We drove separate, right? Yeah. And I walked her to her car, and we sat there for a moment, and I honestly thought she was gonna kiss me on the lips. I thought I was gonna close the deal right there. Wow. Really? Yes, man, I'm telling you.
Starting point is 00:09:16 It was something. You can feel it, right? I can tell you're around kids a lot, because you even say it like a kid. Dude, a kiss, like on the lips. you even say it like a kid dude a kiss like on the lip If you're feeling it how come you didn't go in for a kiss oh man, I wanted her to do the first What did happen I'm sad to say she kissed me on the cheek there's a little little bit peck on the cheek Probably didn't happen then. So not really a king. It's kind of lame. What did happen?
Starting point is 00:09:46 I'm sad to say, she kissed me on the cheek. There's a little big peck on the cheek. That's okay. I've never heard this before, but is it possible to be a bad cheek kisser? No. Because your cheek had a bad texture? She kissed him on the cheek. Maybe his cheek was just...
Starting point is 00:10:01 Too oily or something. Oh yeah. Well, I did come from the racetrack so you know could have been dirty I don't know well we're gonna find out for sure let's come back we'll call Gabriella and we're gonna ask her why she doesn't want to go out with an awesome single dad named Gabe I'm enjoying your energy Gabe, I am. Me too, it's Gig. She's enjoying you not listening to a word you say. Not doing it that much. Sorry. We're gonna come back refocused.
Starting point is 00:10:32 Whatever Fig, back to you soon. Do your second date update right after this. Second date update. We've been talking to a single dad named Gig. G-I-G. I love the music intros this one. It's not a dig here, Jeffrey. Well, I'm just playing the music that Gig
Starting point is 00:10:50 would feel most comfortable hearing in his daily life. He went on an adult dig. That's the thing, he's not getting a callback. Sorry, I was sitting in my head. Everybody can relate. He's not getting a callback from his date, Gabriela, because they did a racetrack, ack restaurant ended with some hot cheek kissing action And you could just tell from talking to him a little bit that he's a good guy
Starting point is 00:11:15 I also want to say the other reason I'm personally pulling for you gig is that he told us early on in the call He felt like he didn't ask his date Gabriella enough questions about herself I think that takes a lot to admit that especially from a guy Himself accountable for his own words. I think even recognizing it is That's the so did you forget his name again? I think I mean I think I think gig would love I mean I think Gabriella would love it But gig you know what I'm saying like of course for sure
Starting point is 00:11:56 Maybe she didn't feel that way. Maybe she didn't notice but maybe there's something else terribly that went wrong and you know, wow That happens a lot on these so I'm just trying to set him up Guy there's no way we're gonna find out he's some awful, horrible person. No, I just like to, you know, like set people up for the worst, hope for the best. What we really need right now is some BGE, Big Gig Energy. Ooh, I like it. Yeah. Big Gig knows what that's about. Let's call Gabriella, see what she has to say.
Starting point is 00:12:21 Here we go. Hello? Let's see what she has to say. Here we go. Hello? Hey, I'm looking for Gabriella. Uh, yeah. Who's this? Hey, my name is Jeff from a radio show called Brooke and Jeffrey in the Morning that you're on right now with the entire Brooke and Jeffrey crew. Hi! Okay.
Starting point is 00:12:44 Hi. All right. It's kind of fun, right? Yeah. We have something fun that we want to talk to you about. A date that you went on the other night with a guy named Gig. Did you already talk to him or? I'm glad you didn't say which one. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:03 There's only one Gig that we know of. Of course. And we did talk to him a little bit, heard about your guys's hangout. He's reaching out to us right now to do this is called a second date update because we're trying to help him figure out if anything went wrong that day. Yeah, I mean, obviously there was a reason. OK, well, I mean, just can you tell us overall? Like, what did you think of Gig?
Starting point is 00:13:28 I mean, the date was fine, and especially in the beginning. Like, he has a lot of energy. I don't know if you guys noticed that, but it's like, a little intense. Was it too much for you? I know that like sometimes when people can't turn it off, that it can actually become
Starting point is 00:13:44 exhausting at some points Us energetic boys can be overwhelming Yeah Even to ourselves He was very positive when we talked to him Definitely, definitely, definitely positive And I think it's wonderful that he loves being a father I do not have children but I'm open to dating people with children.
Starting point is 00:14:05 I respect it all of it, but it was, it was a lot. We spoke about them the majority of our conversation. Okay. Was it too much for you then? What happened was too much for me. Oh, there was an incident. Yes. So I went to the bathroom and when I came back he was just like two people want to meet you and I was like why and so he like pulled out his cell phone and His two sons are on FaceTime Meet my kids Okay, well we did not know that there was a face time call with his children did that happen Where were you guys when that happened?
Starting point is 00:14:46 In the restaurant. Oh, that's intense with no warning. No warning and also like how many dates do you do this on? This is our first date. Okay, okay, but what if the kids called, they happen to be on the phone and he didn't say like meet my date, meet the lady I'm gonna take home tonight, right?
Starting point is 00:15:07 Like meet your future mommy. He said meet my girlfriend or something. I couldn't remember what he said. I was like. Meet my friend. Are you sure it wasn't meet my friend and you just. I'm not 100% sure, but I'm pretty sure, but it doesn't matter.
Starting point is 00:15:21 Like if his kids called during dinner, that is fine. You wanna step outside, you to talk to your children? That's I mean what were you saying to his kids during the FaceTime? I didn't know what to say so I just was like hi It's nice to meet you and you know I don't I don't want to be mean to children, but You never want to hear the phrase. I don't want to be mean to children, but but I was. It's a. You never want to hear the phrase,
Starting point is 00:15:43 I don't want to be mean to children, but. Wait, how long were you on FaceTime with the kids? I mean, I made it short and sweet and I was hoping he'd kind of get the hint, but eventually I was like, okay, like I'm gonna eat. So it wasn't the amount of time you spent on the phone with the kids. It was just the fact that he kind of sprung the kids on you.
Starting point is 00:16:02 Yeah. Yeah. And also like it is our first date. Like is that something he often does I would never see that I don't even think of that. I know you're not a big fan of having things sprung on you all of a sudden Unfortunately, I need to tell you yeah, it's not the kids Actually is on the other line right now Seriously though what's up Gabriella? Hey, honestly? Actually is on the other line right now You always do that
Starting point is 00:16:48 Sorry gig gig is this something you do every time? You know I am not a same to say I do it every single date. Oh so you do that on purpose like to gauge there? That doesn't seem to you. I just think it's a little ridiculous to have to wait six seven months to meet the woman that I'm dating you know the man there are probably some healthy things in there that you may want to talk to like a family therapist Insulting We apologize. I think you're fine, and you don't need any therapy. You're a great dad keep talking to Gabriella Gabriella listen listen look I didn't even tell you this but since like I got you're fine and you don't need any therapy. You're a great dad. Keep talking to Gabriella. Gabriella, listen, listen, look, I didn't even tell you this, but since I got you on the phone,
Starting point is 00:17:30 they both really liked you. They rated you a 7.5. Wait, you guys have a rating? Like a baby rating system of daddy's dates? Gabriella, that's huge. That's huge, they never do that. Did I have to? That's the that's okay I ever do that I really don't want to talk about what I'm rated I really don't I don't know that's
Starting point is 00:17:55 healthy and it's not what gig is rating you that's what his kids are rated you know we got that don't hold it against Gig what his kids think. Gig, what's the scale? Like they're rating it a hotness or is this like a... Maybe we shouldn't break it down. I don't want to know, they're children, they shouldn't be rating people. Like, I don't, like Gig
Starting point is 00:18:18 you sound like a really positive guy, but maybe that's something you take out of your... Repertoire. Yeah. You know what, that might be some fair advice for once from Brooke. Imagine the other day, it's like, Dad, she's a fwee. I don't want to move. Okay, but I think overall, Gabriella, what he's trying to say, they really like you.
Starting point is 00:18:38 He's just trying to involve you in his life because that's the type of fun guy that he is. Oh, God. And he's really close. Speaking of liking you, my five year old son, Eli. Five? Yeah, five year old son, he made you an ashtray at school. Oh!
Starting point is 00:18:52 Isn't that amazing? An ashtray? Does he look like a smoker or what? Me, why would he make that? Is this a joke? What school is he going to? Yeah, what? It's a clay, it's a little clay pot. you can use it as a candy dish if you're not
Starting point is 00:19:10 Let's call it that to him as well I feel a lot of positive vibes at least coming from our side and from gig side We just need a yes from Gabriella now to go out on a second date a date that we would pay for Absolutely not. Come on, Chuck E. Cheese Day with the kids. Yeah. Gig, I'm sorry man. I know there's definitely a match out there for you. It's just not Gabriella. Okay. And also like maybe like, you know.
Starting point is 00:19:37 No Brooke, no enough. We've got enough tidbits. I just think that like, you just want to get rid of the rating system and the ashtrays, Jeffrey. It shouldn't be part of childhood. I get what's going on gig Can you have your kids go online and rate Brooke? Brooke and Jeffrey in the morning No. Brooke and Jeffrey in the morning. The Extravision podcast is your home for reactions, recaps, and roundtable debates
Starting point is 00:20:08 on the biggest pop culture moments of the summer. We drop four episodes a week and every Friday we're popping out the popcorn and breaking down that weekend's big box office draws, including Superman and Sinners. Rosie Sinners, what an incredible cinema experience. I went in and I was expecting Coogler, I was expecting horror. What I didn't expect, there was just this unbelievable, sprawling cinematography.
Starting point is 00:20:34 This is a movie that gets better the more you think about it. From Star Wars to Fantastic Four, we're covering all the biggest movies, shows and stories in fandom, including interviews with none other than Superman and Lois Lane themselves, David Corrin Sweat and Rachel Rosner-Ann. Kelly Harnett spent over a decade in prison for a murder
Starting point is 00:21:20 she says she didn't commit. I'm 100% innocent. While behind bars, she learned the law from scratch. Because, oh, God, her and that jailhouse lawyer. And as she fought for herself, she also became a lifeline for the women locked up alongside her. You're supposed to have your faith in God, but I had nothing but faith in her.
Starting point is 00:21:40 So many of these women had lived the same stories. I said, were you a victim of domestic violence? And she was like, yeah. But maybe Kelly could change the ending. I said, how many people have gotten other incarcerated individuals out of here? I'm going to be the first one to do that. This is the story of Kelly Harnett,
Starting point is 00:22:03 a woman who spent 12 years fighting not just for her own freedom, but her girlfriends too. I think I have a mission from God to save souls by getting people out of prison. The girlfriends, jailhouse lawyer. Listen on the iHeartRadio app, Apple
Starting point is 00:22:19 podcast or wherever you get your podcast. OK, let me open up the email. God, what? And Brooke's score according to Giggs's commentary. Stop it, Jeffrey! I wanna know! This is not healthy!
Starting point is 00:22:37 Ooh! Okay. Better not say this out loud. Yeah, yeah. You're a bigger man. Okay, let's just say we're lucky you and him didn't go out, Brooke. Giggs and the kids all need a timeout.
Starting point is 00:22:46 Okay, they all need to go to the room. Lame mom. They need a timeout. Not the cool mom. Brooke, you seem to be on his side at the beginning until the whole rating thing happened. I mean, do you really think it's that bad? He's involving his kids in his life. Yes, I actually think it's worse.
Starting point is 00:23:02 I was trying to be like somewhat soft on him because I think his intentions are good It's very damaging everybody does dating a little bit differently They apparently all get parenting a little differently too I'm sure that there's people on the text board right now who want to go out with gig and wouldn't mind being Rated by both of his children on the first date being raided by both of his children on the first date. It's kind of like a challenge now to be so... Yeah, can you beat it out? 7.5, that's the high score right now.
Starting point is 00:23:30 Text in if you want to beat it. It's Brooke and Jeffrey in the morning. Brooke and Jeffrey in the morning. When you end a first date with someone and there's no kiss, but you have that looming question in your mind, wondering, am I going to be going out with this person again? Oh, yeah Let's say you're in the middle. How do you find out what they're thinking? Oh No, that's actually tapping their phone I think that's like surveillance
Starting point is 00:24:00 We're not doing that yet One of our listeners came up with a little trick that forces the guy in a polite way to reveal where his head is at We've never heard this on the show before you're gonna hear it for the first time and then we'll find out if it actually worked in your second date update right after this second date update Got an email from a woman named Monica who said she can't believe she's not getting another date with lips like these That was all I had to read before I told our producer to contact this woman right now Monica use those lips to say hello to the Brooke and Jeffrey family
Starting point is 00:24:45 Luscious. You guys have luscious lips. Very plump. Yeah, shout out your filler lady. Maybe they're natural lips. Or it's too much. She's like, hi everyone, welcome. Yeah, what do you mean lips like these from your email?
Starting point is 00:24:58 I mean they are very beautiful, full, succulent, natural. I love your confidence coming into this That sounds like it's been a little bit shook because this guy isn't calling you back. What's his name? Yeah, his name is Nick. So tell us about Nick and how you met Yeah, we met on one of the apps of course But we've started to meet up for some drinks. Okay. Do you do any lip prep before a first date? Ooh, some liner? Maybe.
Starting point is 00:25:28 I actually was working and I was an hour late. I was stuck at work, but I did let him know in advance. Like in advance enough where he wasn't sitting at the restaurant? Or right before the hour mark happened Give it about 20 minutes before I thought I was gonna get out of there because you know where we're going It's near where I work and everything so I thought I was gonna be there Like the worst it could be well, what was Nick's reaction when you said you're running an hour behind Well, it was it. I just said I was running late.
Starting point is 00:26:09 So you didn't need five minutes. He said he'll be there. And then it turned into an hour. So he was sitting there waiting for I told him that it was work deadline. He said, take your time. I understand. I'll be here because he has to say that it was work, deadline. He said, take your time, I understand, I'll be here. Yeah, because he has to say that. You know?
Starting point is 00:26:28 Give me patience. Like he actually waited an hour for you? Yeah, pretty much. Oh man. Was the date awkward? Like was he upset at all? If he was, he didn't say anything or it didn't look like it.
Starting point is 00:26:41 So yeah. So we had a good conversation some he ordered sushi and then the night was still kind of young so I was like well around the corner there is this really good spot to go dancing he seemed excited cuz he was like oh my gosh I haven't done that in years he seriously was excited to go out dancing you don't believe a man likes to dance Jeffrey you love dancing After he waited an hour they had dinner and drinks, and then he's like I never danced But I guess this time I will yeah for the first time yeah
Starting point is 00:27:14 I don't think that he was making it up. He seemed like he was genuinely interested in doing it. He's a good liar Okay, you're forgetting how good her lips are yeah Yeah. Yeah, he'll follow those anyway Yeah, wait for that kid was it like a club type of dancing or was it like country or Latin? Yeah, no, it was in a hotel You know, they have like a little lounge area But once we got there we sat down there was like fire pits, you know, it was a whole vibe Okay, okay. So like more romantic than what I pictured in my head. Yeah, like with fire pits and stuff I was picturing like poles going up No, I would not take him to the club, okay
Starting point is 00:27:59 So did you actually dance at this dance club? Yeah, I got up and started dancing Did you actually dance at this dance club? Yeah, like I got up and started dancing He decided he didn't want to dance even though I try to coke them up, but Maybe a stupid question were other people dancing too, or was it just you imagine like the fire pits and everything You know I'm a person. I will march to my own drum. That's right. It was just me It was just me. Just you. Oh, okay. So that's why. So it's like let's go dancing and then you show up to a place and no one else is dancing.
Starting point is 00:28:27 If you've ever hung out with Brooke out in the wilds, then you know what this is like. Dude, how can you not move your body when there's good music? Brooke did the first dance at a wedding. Like she loves to dance. Oh, for sure. Before the bride and groom. Dude, I have no shame in my dancing game. Well, maybe that could have been a little bit awkward for him to just be sitting there
Starting point is 00:28:45 while you were the only person in the entire room dancing. Or maybe it was awkward that that's why he didn't, but he would think that wouldn't he be impressed by her confidence and her zest for life? You're really hoping for that, aren't you, Brooke? Yeah, I am. You would think, you would really think that somebody would wanna live.
Starting point is 00:29:04 Hello? That's right. Yeah. Okay. Live, live your life. somebody would want to live. That's true. Okay. Live, live your life. Like no one's watching. It's good you were leading the charge on having fun that night. How did you two end it? Well, I drove him back to where his car was and I gave him a hug, but I showed him my phone.
Starting point is 00:29:21 It was his profile picture from the dating app. And I was just like, well, what do I do with this? Oh, that's a funny question. Do I delete or do I keep? Make them tell you, he's like deleted. I'm just kidding. What did he say? He said, do whatever you like.
Starting point is 00:29:37 Oh. That could be good or bad. I don't know. What was your vibe? Did that feel like a good answer to you? I mean, I wasn't sure, then he just got missed call and rolled out. Well, he could be trying to play hard to get where it's like, yeah, you know, do whatever you want. I don't think he really does care.
Starting point is 00:29:55 So hard to get he's not even calling her anymore. That's really good action. I will say some men don't know how to play the line on that one. Maybe he just like was nervous and he didn't know what to say. That's why he had to get out He didn't say don't call radio stations He didn't want that he should have set the boundaries early on so we're gonna call him whether he likes it or not Try and get those lips a second date update Right after this hold on
Starting point is 00:30:24 Second date update. Fuck her up. Thank you. We'll do it right after this. Hold on. Second date update. Doesn't every romantic movie end with the dude hopping in his car, peeling out, yelling, do whatever you want, I don't care. No, Jeff. They should end that way. It'd be way more realistic because that's what happened to one of our listeners Monica Who showed up an hour late to her date with Nick? But once she finally arrived they had a good time
Starting point is 00:30:49 That is till the end of the night when he kind of hopped in his vehicle left in a hurry and didn't seem very Enthusiastic about meeting up another time. Yeah, Brooke Didn't your husband come home late smelling like sushi and fire pits recently or is that just the new scent from Old Spice? He doesn't eat sushi. He only likes really bland chicken breast. So I know it's not him. Well rule that one out. Yeah. Not sure what went wrong with Nick. Monica do you have any theories? No I actually really thought that everything was great. Okay. Other than that everything was great. I Mean maybe we're reading too far in Jeffrey into that do whatever you want line because it could have been like it depends on Tone right could be like do whatever you want
Starting point is 00:31:45 Yeah a lot of Or it could have been, it's like, do whatever you want, whatever you need, like please, let me out of it. That's a panic. Yeah, a lot of emotions that could have been. Crying? We have no idea. We gotta just reach out to Nick and see where his head is at. You ready, Monica? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:31:56 It could just be his thing. We call him and he picks up and he's like, do whatever you want. Yeah. You know what I mean? We don't know. His catchphrase? Let's find out.
Starting point is 00:32:03 I'm gonna dial his don't know. Just catchphrase? There it is. Let's find out. I'm going to dial his number. Here we go. Beep, beep, beep, beep. Phone ringing. Phone ringing. Hello? Hey, is this Nick? Uh, yes. Who's that? You don't have to be afraid.
Starting point is 00:32:20 We're just a friendly neighborhood radio show called Brooke and Jeffrey in the morning. Why does this sound bad when you leave like friendly? Like you're overcompensating. Don't fear us. We're here for you. To be afraid, we're just a friendly neighborhood radio show called Brooke and Jeffrey in the morning. Why does it sound bad when you leave friendly? Like you're overcompensating. Don't fear us. We're here for you. What is this about?
Starting point is 00:32:30 Oh sorry. Hey Nick. This is a segment that we're doing. It's called the second date update. Hi. Good morning. We're reaching out because you went out with one of our listeners the other night named Monica.
Starting point is 00:32:41 Remember Monica with the good lips? That's not what we call good lips I mean I remember Monica she remembers you too and she had a great time hanging out with you the other night was thinking that there was gonna be another date that came from it but it hasn't happened yet so really we're trying to help her figure out if there's a reason for that she thought there was gonna be another day cool Wow Kind of optimistic for her, but we don't know what the reason is if there is one maybe you could help help us understand Sounds like it should be really obvious to her and it's not I
Starting point is 00:33:28 Mean, I assume you talked to her. I don't know what she told you. I she did say she was an hour late. Is that yeah Yeah, she was over an hour late. That's bad, bro. I can't believe you waited. I Was there early? I was already there when she texted me Was there early I was already there when she texted me 20 minutes early because she said she texted 20 minutes don't do that Yeah, I got there early cuz it's a busy place parking kind of tough. I wanted to be comfortable. I wanted to be ready When she was there, okay? But she didn't ask you to get there 20 minutes early This is why you're not supposed to be on time.
Starting point is 00:34:08 You can only be mad about the hour, not the hour 20. But it does sound from her description that you guys were able to move past that. I mean, she definitely felt bad. You know, I get it. Stuff happens. So I thought, you know, I'd give it a shot, see how things go. Okay. Alright. How was the rest of the date after she got there? Well, you know, pretty quickly, I regretted not ever talking to her on the phone beforehand.
Starting point is 00:34:37 What do you mean? For moment one, the vibes were just real bad. Okay. It was the attitude? Yeah. What do you mean? Well, she comes in hot. She's like, sorry, I'm late. You should know I never eat after six. Oh. What? Is it after six? Wait, is it after six at this point? It's around seven.
Starting point is 00:34:51 Like we planned on getting dinner at six. Oh, shoot. Oh, okay. Think she eats all my food. Whoa, wait, what? Wait, what? What do you mean? Yeah, I'd already ordered it
Starting point is 00:35:02 because she was like, I'm on my way. And I was like, the food will be here ready for her Oh, no, and she's like no, I'm not gonna eat any of it and then proceeds to eat all of it I mean but the good news is you weren't ordering for just yourself, right? When you put the order in when she was arriving you were planning on her eating I was planning on her eating roughly half of it. Yeah We gotta eat faster than keep up. Wait, what do you mean? How much did she eat? She ate all of it. Oh, my half. She ate her half. There was also the wine. She drank all the wine. The waitress came up and asked if she would like a drink She doesn't even look at the server and it's just like give me a cab. That's what she yelled
Starting point is 00:35:49 She'll give me a cab like a cabernet. Okay, what's wrong with that? The server then asked what kind and she just goes give me the best little waves her hand and goes give me the best Three glasses later, she's like, let's do another. Oh, wow. And I'm like, no, I think you're done. I think you're cut off at three. Oh my god.
Starting point is 00:36:12 Bad day at work for her. Bro. It was getting so expensive. Oh my god, I've heard enough of this bulls**t. Oh. Oh. OK. You are lying.
Starting point is 00:36:22 Well, hold on, Monica. You're lying. Whoa, slow down a little bit. Nick, I need to inform you just real quick. That's Monica. She's been quietly waiting on the other line to jump in and talk to you. The seething should be the other answer. I've been over here seething because he is a liar.
Starting point is 00:36:38 Oh really? I ate everything. Really? You had not one iota of that sushi. You didn't have a couple of cocktails. You damn felt. I ate everything, really you had not one iota of that sushi. You didn't have a couple of cocktails, you damn felt. Are you kidding me? Okay, Monica, you know, I appreciate your passion.
Starting point is 00:36:56 Let's let Nick respond to you, Nick. Monica, as always, it's a pleasure. How polite. Please tell me what specifically I made up from that story story because I'm pretty sure I told the truth I didn't make up anything No sushi you had no sushi. Yeah, you ate all of it. I didn't have time to eat Over there major painting, okay Shovelling it in major painting okay I'm just shoveling it in. Were you? Is that a statement? I think it's fine like maybe you just were so
Starting point is 00:37:28 excited about the date you just weren't paying attention to his needs. It's good sushi. Whatever he had some food okay he's making things up. Oh now he's had some bread or something in the panel. She's saying that the whole time. She also thought I was ugly. Wait what? She called you ugly the whole time. Now I don't believe you. There is Wait, she called you ugly? Now I don't believe you. There is no way she called you ugly to your face. Right, yeah, like I would call you ugly,
Starting point is 00:37:51 but yeah, I'm calling a radio show because I wanted another date. OK. You told me you couldn't believe anybody would message me on my dating profile. What? Whoa. Come on.
Starting point is 00:38:01 Monica, did you say that? I mean, yeah, he said he was getting a lot of messages. I was a little shocked, but you know. Oh my God. Oh my God. Wait, you think he has a bad profile pic? I mean, a man who waits an hour for a date probably doesn't have a lot of other options.
Starting point is 00:38:15 Oh. That's not very nice. I don't mean that as a dig. That's not very nice. I don't mean that as a dig, I'm sorry. We're focusing so much on the negatives here. There must've been some positive things that you liked about the date. Yeah. Yeah, I remember one thing that happened on the negatives here there must have been some positive things that you liked about the date yeah I remember one thing that happened on the date is I asked if a medical assistant was the
Starting point is 00:38:29 same as the nurse and you just told me to Google it what? what? it's not asking dumb ass questions I mean hell that's what Google is there for alright you said your job was as a medical assistant and I was making conversations yeah and I made the conversation I made the
Starting point is 00:38:45 conversation back Google it I kind of like that I might steal that I wish more than anything I was a table sitting next to your table on the first day watching the whole dancing at the club happening yeah oh God, we didn't even get to the dancing. Yeah, the fire pit. It wasn't even a club. It was a hotel lobby. Okay. All I heard was it was a hotel lobby for Nick. All right. So this whole call is kind of getting away from us here.
Starting point is 00:39:16 We were hoping that after like the hour long bounce back that we could maybe salvage this and there's still a chance. Is there a chance? I'm about to go out with him. I'm about to go out with liars. Well. Did he ever lie? He's still a chance. Is there a chance? I'm about to go out with him. I'm about to go out with liars. Well, did he ever lie? He's not a liar.
Starting point is 00:39:29 He's an ugly liar. Oh. At least according to Monica. So we should give him more grace? Your words, I didn't say that. Well, I don't know what was said. Yes, you did. You did say that.
Starting point is 00:39:43 All I can do here is offer to send you guys out on another Monica you are a spirited woman, and I appreciate you you know what I've already had some kisses anyway, so it doesn't matter Why'd you ask for this I am like NBA you gotta have a starting five I got a roster. I am like NBA. You got to have a starting five. Oh my God. All right. Nikki been benched, dude. I'm sorry, man. How will I ever get over it? Brooke and Jeffrey in the morning.

Here's a man who allows you to be as late as you want, eat all of the sushi on the plate, drink the best wine in the entire establishment, and then she puts down his dating profile? Wow! He didn't allow it though. He hated on it. Not only did he hate on it, but he didn't tell her. He was like super passive aggressive about it. That's as polite as you can get as a man.
Starting point is 00:43:08 You don't tell her exactly what you're thinking. Keep up, eat the food, drink the wine buddy. Yes. If Monica really does have a roster, I wonder when we're going to be hearing from her power forward. Or her shooting guard next, like who knows. I don't know that she's ever going to come back for our help. But I really enjoyed her, I bet you when she takes a center out for dates He eats the most so he's probably the most fun to go out with because they're big. They're huge
