All right.
Hey, thanks for checking out our YouTube.
I just want to start with that.
It's Brick and Jeffrey, and you have found our official podcast because we're trying to
give you a lot more content over the weekends.
Jake is doing those extended cuts, which he's been kind of on a phone tap rampage.
Yeah, he has.
Someone wanted Marla, but I think I only have two Marla phone taps.
That wasn't extended enough.
So I apologize.
But we did do an Alexis one last weekend or the weekend before, which was a great fun.
I couldn't believe there was that many.
Yeah, and we have in studio where you can watch our second dates as well.
But before we get to our back-to-back classics, do you have comments?
Yeah, Marcia Musavi said, I've been listening to you since three years ago, and I literally listened to all episodes.
I start by day listening to you while driving to working back, also when doing house tours because you make it easier.
Thanks for being a good show.
Oh, man.
You must have a clean house.
Not great.
Yeah, not a great show.
It's good show.
We're good enough.
That just rolled right over me because that felt right.
You didn't even notice.
That's all I noticed.
He's like, thanks for being in my top 20.
Yep.
All right.
Enjoy the goodness.
It starts right now.
Imagine having two men both interested in dating you.
I'm flattered, guys.
I know.
Seriously.
Is it a dream scenario or is it a nightmare scenario?
Alexis.
It's like a normal day for Alexis.
Yeah.
I mean, I get it.
How are you supposed to choose between the Shamwow guy and the My Pillo guy?
Turning more into a nightmare.
Great options.
Those two guys would go after the same person.
But that's the issue one of our listeners was facing,
because she had dates with two different guys,
but could only pick one of them to pursue.
Has she chosen correctly?
We're going to find out when we hear about it in your second date update.
Next.
Brooke and Jeffrey in the morning.
Second date update.
After a good but not great first date, what are your options moving forward?
You could A, give up on dating and do absolutely nothing.
For a good date?
No, it's an okay date.
Okay.
Yeah, just a good, not a great date.
It's going to push you over the edge to you finally just give up?
I'm saying that's an option.
You could go with B, play the waiting game and do absolutely nothing.
Okay, that's the same option as.
Or option C, make up a story in your head about how that person was probably some deranged
psychopath.
So it's justified that you ghosted them.
And do nothing.
And then do nothing.
But today's listener, Abby, went a different route after going on a good, not great first date.
So let's talk to her about it.
Abby, welcome to the show.
Hi, thank you.
So are we going to do that, we're going to talk to you and then do nothing?
Is that the...
Yeah.
We'll get to doing nothing in a bit.
But first, what's the name of this good, not great guy?
His name is Luke.
Oh, Luke.
That's a good, not even great name.
What a terrible intro.
I think the name Luke is nice.
Luke is like he's mid.
Yeah, and I don't want to set him up either as it being like terrible.
She's calling normal then, right?
Normal in the middle.
Sure.
Average.
That sounds bad.
Honestly, though, like right at the beginning, I'm confused why you would call this guy average the date okay and actually want to go out with the beginning.
Aren't most first dates just good?
Yeah.
So it's kind of successful in.
I think we need to hear more of the story.
So tell us about how you and Luke met and what you did for your date.
Yeah.
I mean, he's a good dude.
He has a good job.
He works in pharmaceutical industry.
And I don't work in the same industry, but I know people who work in it and kind of I have some clients that kind of work in it.
So, like, we connected.
We had something to talk about.
Is that how you guys met through mutual friends or did you meet him online?
Yeah, no, we met on a dating app.
Okay.
And we figured out that we live in the same part of town.
Good.
There's a kind of popular brewery, so we decided to kind of just head there since it was close to both of us.
Yeah, yeah.
All sounds normal.
Yep.
Really good.
Average.
Mm-hmm.
Trying to avoid that word, but.
Yeah.
How did the brewery go?
It was nice.
Like, we chatted.
We had stuff to talk about, you know, it didn't blow me away, but that's okay.
Yeah.
I mean, like, what you mean by that is, like, he checked all the boxes, got a good job, easy convo.
But nothing like.
stood out is what you're trying to say.
No, no, it was pretty normal
and I think so normal
that it kind of made me hesitate after.
I didn't reach out to him
other than like a thank you for the date,
but you know, I didn't set anything up afterwards.
Is it just a quick thank you for the date,
like a sign that you don't want anymore?
I don't know. It depends, I would say.
Because I'm like, oh my God, thank you. That was awesome.
But I guess that's hard to read over text.
Right.
Yeah.
I mean, was he responding back
to you in trying to initiate a second date?
Yeah, he did ask me out, and I kind of left him on red.
Oh.
So how long ago was that?
This was two weeks ago.
Okay.
So where are you talking to us?
What's happened since then?
Yeah.
Okay, so there was a weird thing that happened, and so that's why I wanted to chat.
So after that, I was a little unclear about Luke, and I went on a different date the
following week, and we went to the same brewery.
Guess who was there?
Oh my God, Luke was also there on a date?
Luke was also there on a date.
No.
On a date again.
So awkward.
I mean, yeah, awkward, but he's not doing anything wrong.
No, nobody's doing anything.
No, we're not to see that.
She just ghosted him.
And now she's back at the same brood with a new date.
Yeah.
What was the interaction between you two like?
Was there an interaction?
Yeah.
I mean, we saw each other.
We just kind of like waved.
And I told the date, you know, it's just a friend of mine.
Awkward wave or smiley?
A little awkward.
So wait, did you think he was cuter when he was sitting with another girl?
They always are.
I mean, honestly.
Yeah, I mean, to be honest, I was kind of like, oh.
Well, I'm guessing your date didn't go that good.
You're on the phone with us.
That's a good point, Alexis.
How was the date with the new guy?
Fine.
Nice.
Just okay.
We'll call him in two weeks after this is a little.
Yeah.
Clearly you were eyeing Luke over in the corner with his other date and something was happening with you emotionally.
Well, I think I also didn't have anything to compare it with.
I'm kind of new back into the dating pool.
Okay.
And Luke was the first person I had dated.
At that particular brewery.
It's like when you're in a competition and you have to go first and the judges score you lower because they don't know what else is coming up next.
They want to leave some room.
Yeah.
He may have been the best.
Yeah.
But then he got screwed in the judging, you know.
Is that how you felt?
Maybe.
Maybe I did that to him.
Yeah.
Jump to conclusions.
Okay.
So where is your head at now with Luke and this new guy?
The new guy was kind of whatever.
And it made me think that Luke might be a good match, actually.
So I stopped texting him.
Well, Luke was also whatever, but he's less whatever.
Wait, wait.
So you texted Luke?
Yeah.
So I texted him with just like, ha-ha.
that was funny.
You know, just like kind of laughed it off, made a joke.
And then said that we should hang out again.
Oh.
And he has not responded.
Yeah, because you didn't respond to him when he said that.
Yeah.
I know, but now maybe, I don't know.
Yeah.
Sounds like you want what you can't have.
Exactly.
And it's not like you can't have him, though.
That's the thing.
Well, we don't know.
Maybe Luke has moved on.
Maybe Luke actually did have a good time with the new girl that he was with.
I don't know.
I don't know.
Okay.
Okay.
I hope you were, like, laughing a lot and looking like you were having lots of fun on your other date.
But not too much fun, or else Luke will be like, oh, she really's having a great time with that other guy.
I'm kind of joking.
I'm just jealous already.
I know.
Like, why are you having more fun with me?
Anyway, who says dating plays mind games on everybody?
Not I.
So we're going to come back.
We're going to call this good, not great guy, Luke, and hopefully convince him to give you a second chance.
We won't use that as his nickname, we promise.
No.
We'll come up with something, better.
And do it with your second date update right after this.
Brooke and Jeffrey in the morning.
Second date update.
What's the famous saying, you don't have to outrun the bear.
You just have to outrun the other guy.
Yep.
And that's kind of how our listener, Abby, decided she likes a dude named Luke.
Because she went on two average dates with two average guys.
But it wasn't until after she met the second one, she realized actually maybe guy number one, Luke was slightly better.
I pick him instead.
Who's the bear in this analogy?
I don't really get all that worse.
Brooke, obviously you're the bear.
Okay, and you're going to mall the slower man.
Oh, well, I always take the weakest link.
You always do.
But that's how Abby ended up here looking for another chance with guy number one.
But who knows, maybe after this she'll change your mind again.
And next week we'll be calling average guy number two.
Do you want us to keep a spot open for you, Abby, next week just in case?
No, I'm going to stick with the bird.
All right.
We'll just give her a day, like average week Sundays.
Yeah.
We'll have to come in on the weekends.
The whole lineup of average men for you to choose from.
I think it's pretty understanding, though.
Like, you're back into the dating world.
You kind of want to see what's out there a little bit.
Yeah.
And it just happened to be your very first one was better than you realized.
Yeah.
But that's a big danger of playing the field right now in modern dating is there
always seems to be a better option on the other side of the fence for you.
It was two weeks, Jeff.
It hasn't been forever.
I'm just saying, what's wrong to committing to the first man who approaches you?
That could backfire.
Pretty badly, actually.
Abby, maybe you keep that as an option for the next guy you meet, okay?
Okay.
Okay.
For now, we'll focus on Luke and see if he picks up the phone.
I'm going to dial his number right now.
Hey, is this Luke?
Who's this?
My name is Jeff.
I'm on a radio show called Brooke and Jeffrey in the morning.
Hey, Luke.
Hi.
What up, Luke?
This is real.
This is real life.
Yeah, this is real life.
unless you're asleep right now.
We're all in your dream.
Yeah, dude, you're on the radio right now.
Is that okay?
I mean, it depends on what you need for me, but sure.
Well, all we want to do is gently pry into your personal life.
What a sell, Jeff.
Is that okay?
Sounds fun.
It's more fun than it sounds.
It's a segment we do called Second Date Update.
Okay.
You're the bear.
You're the bear in this analogy right now, Jeff, just so you know.
This is the analogy.
Yeah.
What's going on?
This is a segment where we try to help listeners with their dating life if they've gone out with somebody and they're not getting a call back.
We can try and help figure out the reason why.
And the girl who reached out to us about you is Abby.
You went out with her like two weeks ago?
Yeah.
Okay.
Okay.
Are you upset with Abby?
I'm not bad upset anymore.
I mean, that makes sense.
But you were?
Well, yeah, did she tell you what happened?
Yeah, I'm assuming you're talking about when you two ran into each other again, like a week later at the same brewery.
Oh, really?
I think he's talking about the text messages that she didn't answer.
I mean, both were gut punches.
Okay.
We're trying to do some investigative digging on Abby's behalf, because she's the last person that texted you, and you haven't responded to her.
I mean, how she didn't respond to me first.
Okay, so it is one of those
Make her feel what you felt moment.
I told you, mind game's not involved in dating at all.
I mean, she might be upset too because of the guy.
Like, is she upset because of the...
I mean, I talked to the guy in the bathroom.
Wait, what?
What guy?
Oh, her guy?
Like, her date?
Yeah, I ran into the guy at the bathroom, like the guy she was on the date with.
Oh.
She didn't tell us that.
Dude.
She knows that.
What happened?
What did you say?
I mean, I just told him the,
truth. You know, I told them if you go on a nice date, she's going to ghost you probably.
Oh. Why would you say that? Oh, you are, man. Oh, no. What happened to you? He got ghosted.
Yeah, why wouldn't I tell the guy the truth? I didn't go in there to tell him. He just happened to be there.
But he didn't ask you. I know, but you would have appreciated it if somebody did that for you.
Yeah, it was more of a brocode kind of thing. It wasn't... Okay, you, you warn this other guy that he was
going to run into problems with Abby if he
not problem it's just ghosting
well it's not it doesn't even matter because she's not
interested in that guy she's ghosting
him like honestly
she doesn't even
she's literally ghosting him like
I don't know I don't know if she
responded to him or not but like she doesn't
like that guy she likes you
yeah does she really
come on she texted you and asked you to go
out I mean the whole reason that she
reached out to our show to call you
was because there is genuine
interest in what you two had going
on. Yeah. Oh, I thought she was just upset because of what I told the guy. I didn't, I thought she knew
that. Well, it didn't sound like she was upset because she didn't bring that up to us. I don't even
think she knows that happened. Yeah, I don't know. Yeah, I guess, I mean, he didn't say anything.
Well, here's the thing. Now she does know about it because the way this works is we have Abby
quietly listening on the other line waiting to talk to you. Hey, you're telling me, you're telling
That's her. That's her look.
That's Abby. Say hi.
Are you joking right now?
No.
I'm sorry.
But why don't you talk to her?
This is real, by the way.
He's on the phone.
Yeah, that's her.
Hi, I'm actually wondering if you're the one that's joking.
Are you being serious?
Are you talking to my date?
Oh.
Why would she tell him that I was going to ghost him?
Well, didn't you ghost him?
I mean, I haven't exactly.
What happened to me at such a bad, like, stumble?
I mean, Abby, he obviously told him that because that's what you did to him.
Okay, but I mean, first of all, it's none of, no offense,
I'm not, that's not your business.
And I'm genuinely, I would do it because I'm interested in going out with you again.
Oh.
I have to ask.
Are you planning on seeing him again?
I guess not because you're calling on the radio about me?
No, I'm not going to do this other guy.
And, yeah, I reached out to the radio because, look, like, I'm new to this.
and I like you, and I get a lot of messages on the dating apps,
and I'm not like saying that to, like, put my own horn, but I'm realizing that a good first date
doesn't always have to be, like, sparkles and magic and great, and I think it's a great building block,
and so I was interested in you.
I mean, that's nice, but, like, if you're ghosting him again, this is a pattern.
No, if she sees him on a date with someone else,
She'll text him again.
She's only been in the dating world two weeks.
I mean, I don't know if she's even been in it long enough to be a pattern.
You learn not to ghost eventually.
You know what?
That's true, I guess.
You seem sincere about it.
Yeah.
Okay, I mean, there's kind of an awkwardness happening between you two.
Like, is this what the conversation on your guys' date was like?
Because now I can kind of understand what you were saying.
Yeah, there's some ups, there's some downs.
Yeah.
Okay, yeah.
Like, having an okay time.
I mean, you could at least tell him that you're not ghosting him anymore because this counsels out that ghost moment.
You texted him and called him.
Yeah.
Hey, yeah.
So go ahead, Abby.
I mean, look, like, I'm realizing some things here.
I should write this other guy and just say, thank you.
I don't think it's a good fit.
That's good.
Yeah.
Look at that.
Learning from mistakes.
Yeah.
I am genuine.
I'm being honest here.
What do you think of that, bro?
Do you believe her, Luke?
I believe her.
I think my expectations are still going to be low if that's okay with you.
Oh, I should be.
Oh.
What a romantic.
Mantic thing to say.
I think that's always so good.
I would love low expectations.
Yeah, for real.
I expect absolutely nothing from you going forward and I want that.
You can impress him with anything.
Yeah.
Guys, I'm going to cry.
Now that we've set the bar way, way down,
we would like to offer to send you two on another day and we would pay for it.
I'm going to give the option to Luke first since you're the person that we were calling,
buddy.
I will say yes, but I have to say I,
Expectations are low, and I expect you to ghost me after the second date.
Hey.
Oh, wow.
Is it disappointing if she doesn't now?
Hey, we can only go up from here.
Hey, there we got it.
That's hope.
There you go, Abby.
You scored a date with Luke.
This will be the only time a high five can and a date, and it'll be a good thing.
Yeah, it will be.
If you still want it, that is.
Are you still interested?
Don't change your mind now.
Or have you gone back to guy number two again?
No, no, no.
I'm interested in Luke.
I want to go on another date.
All right.
Okay.
Same brewery for a third time in a row.
Oh God, we're going to run into the other guy.
That bartender is going to be like, what is happening?
Brooke and Jeffrey in the morning.
Today's episode is brought to you by Vinted.
And if you guys are anything like me, my style changes with every season.
I love keeping up with trends, but I'll go from loving one style to suddenly wanting a
completely different wardrobe just a few weeks later.
And I definitely don't want to spend a ton of money every few months.
And that's why I've started using Vinted.
Vinted is a secondhand app that makes it easy for everyday sellers,
people like you and me, to sell pre-loved fashion and earn some extra money.
So thanks to Vinted, what I've started doing is going through my closet,
finding clothes I'm not wearing anymore, and selling them on Vinted.
It's really quick and simple.
You just list your item by taking a few pictures of it, and when it sells, Vinted sends you
a prepaid shipping label.
Plus, there's no seller fees, so you keep everything you earn.
Then you can cash out your money or what I like to do, use it right on Vinted to find some new clothes.
That way, I can refresh my wardrobe without feeling like I just spent a ton of money.
So I get to clear out my closet, make some money, and find new pieces I actually love all on Vinted.
If you're ready to clean out your closet and make some extra money, download the Vinted app for free and start listing.
With no seller fees, you keep every dollar you earn.

I got to say, I'm kind of proud of Abby on that one,
because she had every right to be upset after learning Luke had talked to her date in the bathroom.
She totally could have changed her mind, but no, she stuck to her guns and said,
I don't care if Luke is bad-mouthing me behind my back to the other guys that I'm dating.
I committed to him early on
And I am sticking with it
Yeah, she really did
I hate to say he didn't bad mouth
Because he kind of did
But he was just like hey
She didn't call me back
Just a warning like is that
Telling the truth
Finally someone said
Oh my God you're right
I shouldn't have done that
She even said she's gonna tell the other guy
She's not interested
I also didn't know guy bathroom talk is like that
Oh bro
We got each other's back for sure
Oh our backs
We got each other's fronts
It gets crazy in there
I don't know it was awkward to talk
When you guys were at the year together
Sometimes we're not actually talking
We're just having each other's backs.
Oh.
And it's a good time.
All I'm asking, though, is blind loyalty too much to ask?
Yes.
Depend.
You should never be blindly loyal to anyone.
Okay, good.
So then I will not ask all of our loyal listeners to subscribe to our podcast.
In fact, feel free to unsubscribe because we believe in choices.
You know how awful people we are.
There's nothing about blind about their loyalty.
They know exactly what they're in for.
Oh, yeah.

Brooke and Jeffrey in the morning.
Sometimes the success or failure in the first date can all come down to that one final moment right before you leave.
How do you end the night?
Oh, for sure.
And that's why my go-to move is walk them to the door, gently brush their hair behind their ear.
You look deep into their eyes and I whisper, you like that?
I knew you were going to do that.
I hate that.
It's his got to.
It works every time.
I love how much Alexa.
I actually hate it.
It makes me nauseous.
It's so great.
It makes me so happy.
Nasha is the first symptom of it,
and then it gets really hot after that.
And then you got a kiss.
She is so uncomfortable now.
It melts them like rainbow sherbert in a sauna.
Yeah.
But as smooth as that may sound to most people,
One dude out there might have just beat me out because his closing move was not only fun and flirty and adventurous.
It also comes with pizza.
Ooh, yeah.
Let's go.
So I guarantee there's going to be guys everywhere trying to steal this because it's next level smart.
You're going to hear it in your second date update right after this.
So hot.
Brooke and Jeffrey in the morning.
Second date update.
When someone tells you they went on the.
best date of their entire life.
Oh my gosh.
It's very exciting.
Yes.
But I could mean a lot of different things to different people.
Yeah, for sure.
Like for Brooke, that's probably eating a corn dog in a porta potty after downing an entire
bucket of sangria.
Oh, my God.
It sounds so fun.
Right?
It's like a fairy tale.
Yeah, I'm not even with anyone.
I'm just by myself in there.
For Jose, it would probably be staying at home.
One bowl of fah, two spoons.
playing Fortnite together while they take turns
trash talking the preteens.
Yeah, and I'm sitting on her lap.
Yeah, see?
But for one of our listeners Zoe, she emailed saying
she went on the best date of all time.
Oh my gosh, Zoe, I'm so excited to talk to you.
We're wanting to hear what this is.
Welcome to the show, Zoe.
Hi, thank you so much.
I cannot wait to tell you about my date.
It was so good.
I didn't listen to your voice.
It had to have involved funnel cake.
Were you eating anything inside of a porta potty?
No, but I went out with this guy named Miles.
Okay.
I sent him on a dating app, and I just, he looks like Post Malone, but like buffer, but with no tattoos.
Okay.
All right.
That's a good look.
I'm having a hard time visualizing what Post Malone without tattoos.
I'm imagining like Toby McGuire now.
I don't know.
I'm just excited for her.
She's in that sing-song voice.
Anytime you have that voice,
you know you're just happy.
He was attracted to you.
He was so hot.
If you saw him, you would understand.
Okay.
Hot buff post-Malone, no tattoos.
Yeah, let's go.
Exactly.
Exactly.
And so we, you know,
texted back and forth.
We hit it off online.
So we decided to meet up for drinks, right?
Okay.
Were you this excited going into the date?
Kind of
Okay
Maybe that's a good thing
Guys can vibe off of that energy
Yeah
And it sounds like you ride
On a high frequency
Already
Okay
So let's get into the date
How did that go?
So we met up for drinks
And he looked just like
His picture
But even hotter
Oh my God
Okay
So he didn't take a post Malone
Photo and Photoshop
It to make it look the way you wanted to
He's better
We're gonna call him most Malone
Oh I like that
All right
Oh, he was the perfect package.
And so we're chatting and he's fun and creative.
And then he, like, gets playful.
And he's like, you know what?
Let's play I spy.
And I'm like, what?
Okay.
Wait, like the color game that I play with my kids?
Yeah.
Well, you know, like I spy and you say something you see.
Right?
And it could be anything.
But I'm making it flirty or it's actually like trees and stuff.
I spy is a little lie, the color gray.
I spy a salt shaker.
Yeah, how did romantic post Malone do it?
Romantic Miles was, he laid on the charm and he said, I spy someone really cute.
And then you got jealous and you were like, oh, is he?
Your voice should wait to just an octave that I think only dogs could hear just there.
So he was talking about you, right?
Well, I hope so, but I didn't want to be presumptuous.
So, you know, I said, um, is it the bar to?
And then he was like, no.
And so that I'm like,
I'm like, is it me?
And he's like, yes.
And I was like, oh, my God, I love this.
I mean, yeah, you were not, like, turned off at all the fact that is a little bit cheesy maybe.
Are you listening to her?
She's like, I can't believe it was me!
I can't believe it took me 40 guesses to finally get there.
What about that bartender?
What about that bartender?
I was a gay.
There's no way.
Okay.
Well, if you liked it, that's great.
I liked it.
His charm worked for me.
Okay.
What happened next?
It feels like this is leading straight into a kiss.
Well, we did get a little peck, and then we decided, you know what?
We should go.
It's really late.
And so I looked up Uber, and they were, like, crazy expensive.
Okay.
I'm like, oh, maybe I could stay with them longer, right?
He didn't want to pay for the expensive Uber?
the only person excited about search pricing?
What do you do?
Well, so once again, he pulls out his creativity card, and he's like,
let's go to this pizza place I know up the street, and then ask them if we order a large
pizza, will the delivery driver take us home?
That's so creative.
That's genius.
I hate to give him credit for that, but that is a good idea.
I mean, they're going to drive your house anyway.
Dude, totally.
And the delivery driver would be like an extra 20 bucks, I'll take it.
Yeah.
Did they do that?
So we asked him and they said yes.
Oh, cool.
You're going to have to deliver 40 other pizzas along the way.
Yeah.
We'll eventually get you there.
Luckily he did it.
So the cool thing is we got to ride home and eat pizza and continue our conversation.
Just like the pizza delivery guy sitting in the front seat?
Yeah.
He made his night interesting.
So how did you guys leave it?
Well, so he gave me a peck kiss.
you know, we were kind of pizza covered.
And then we both just slept on a high, or at least I did.
And, you know, we texted for a couple days after that.
And then I haven't heard from him.
Okay.
Weird.
Do you know if he had like a really busy schedule or something?
No, he didn't say that he did.
And I just kind of worried that maybe he met somebody else on the dating app.
Because he was such a catch.
Maybe he spied somebody even cuter.
Uh-oh.
Do not say that.
That's the backfire of the ice spy game.
Okay.
I'm just hoping that you guys can call and see what's going on because I don't want to this guy to get away because he's like the perfect guy.
And it was like the best date.
It sounds so fun.
It really does.
It was so fun.
I'm honestly a little bit nervous to hear how excited he's going to be.
If it's the same level of excitement, the speakers might explode as a studio.
We'll find out, though.
We'll come back.
We'll call Most Malone for you and try and get your second date update right after this.
Brooke and Jeffrey in the morning.
Second date update.
If you're just joining us, we're talking to one of the least excited people that we have ever had on this show.
I see.
Okay.
Boy, has she bit a downer.
Yeah.
Real depresso.
Yeah.
Zoe is her name.
Oh, her name is even, like, bubbly.
I know.
Zoe Zing.
I assume her last name is.
Her and a guy named Miles met up for some drinks, played a pretty boring game of ice spy, it sounded like.
And then convinced a pizza place that if they bought a large pie, they could ride home with the delivery guy in the back seat.
So genius.
I mean, look, I'll give her credit for a fun date, but her recap was just such low energy.
Oh my God.
If people are just tuning in, again, Jeff's being sarcastic.
This is very sarcastic.
Play the tape back and prove me wrong.
Okay.
I'm just hoping that Zoe can turn it up a notch for this next part.
Shift out of neutral into first gear.
Zoe, you need a coffee or something to perk up?
No.
No, no, I've had like four already.
I'm good.
Yeah, okay.
We can hear that.
Maybe you need four more or something.
Yeah.
Oh, my God.
I'm excited, you guys.
This is member Most Malone.
The guy of her doing is.
Yeah.
Most Malone.
At least one person is excited on this phone.
I guess it's going to have to be Brooke.
I think it's a few of us.
I'm excited.
Yeah, that's right, girl.
We know.
Listen to the depression in her voice.
Anyway.
Hey, one thing we never asked you is why do you think he's not calling back?
Did you say that already?
No, I don't know.
And that's why I've tried to, like, lay low and only text, like, twice a day.
Good.
But, you know, I'm not, like, over texting, but it's not helping.
Wait, are you texting twice a day without responses?
Yeah. Is that bad?
Yeah, only twice?
He's not going to know.
He's not going to know that you're into him, but you're only texting him twice.
I need a girl and text me at least 50 times.
You guys, Zoe, that's also sarcasm.
Okay?
That's not usually a good thing.
Too late now, so.
Yeah.
Who isn't awful?
If it's like, hi, and then later in the day, it's like, okay, well, hope you're having a good day.
She hasn't heard from him in over a week.
That is like...
Oh, I thought she said two days.
It doesn't matter.
Texting's for suckers anyway, so we're just going to call him the old school.
Let's go.
Get it done.
Ready, Zoe?
Yes.
All right.
Never going to get her up.
So let's just do it.
Here we go.
Hello, this is Miles.
Oh, hey.
Very formal.
You are formal, Miles.
What's up, Miles?
What's up?
We're a radio show called Brooke and Jeffrey in the morning.
Okay.
All right.
What's up, Brooke and Jeffrey?
Wow.
You're very casual.
What's going on?
He's all the things, Jeff.
He's all the things.
That's why he's most blown.
Yeah, we've heard a lot about you, Miles, actually, from one of our listeners.
that you went on a date with recently named Zoe.
From Zoe, huh?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Huh.
We're doing something called a second date update,
trying to help her figure out why the two of you haven't met up for another date.
Shee.
Are you serious?
Yeah.
Isn't that fun?
Yeah.
Yeah.
All right.
That's fun.
Okay.
He's also being sarcastic.
We're not going to take it that way.
Tell us about, we want to know more about Z.
Zoe in what she thought of her.
Yeah.
Zoe.
So,
all right,
this is a girl.
We met online and it was,
we had a very good time.
I had a very good time on the day.
She said it was a great date.
Awesome.
It sounds like,
I'm sure she did.
I'm sure she did.
Was she as depressing on your date as she was when we talked to her?
Yeah.
No,
no,
no,
very,
very fun loving girl.
That's for short.
Okay.
I love you.
And look,
and look,
and look,
fun too. We were having a good time. I was feeling loose. She's someone you can joke around with
and stuff. She was a good time. So if you have all these positive things to say about her and
she made you feel all these good ways and you could be loose in yourself, then why not meet up with
her one more time? I guess she told you about our date. She told you about the pizza delivery guy.
I have them drive us home. Yeah. The hack you did to get a cheap ride home instead of Uber.
Yeah, yeah. And she was so cool about that too. I'll say that.
Like, not every woman would necessarily be super cool about that.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Not every woman would get in the car of a complete stranger.
Yeah.
Well, there is pizza in the back of that car.
So I feel like pretty much anybody would do it.
Anyway, anyway, so during the ride home, as we're going home, we were laughing.
We were having good time.
And she said to me, I'm just having such a good time with you.
You're so much fun.
You're so great.
I don't want anyone else to have you.
I don't want anyone else to match with you.
I'm going to report you on the app so that you.
You can't talk to anyone.
That's funny.
And, like, she said it as she was laughing, and I'm laughing too.
And I'm like, yeah, yeah, no, I'll report you first.
Uh-huh.
Yeah, right.
Okay.
That's a funny joke.
Sure enough, a couple days later, I get a notification that I got reported on the app.
No.
Are you sure that's not coincidence?
Are you sure it was her?
I mean, I'm not 100% sure that it was her, but I haven't met up with anybody else.
I didn't see anybody else.
And are you doing anything inappropriate that would get you reported?
bro? No, no, I'm not doing anything inappropriate.
Wouldn't you ask her about it?
Like, she said you guys were texting.
And then she was texting.
No, she was texting.
And then that came through and she said she was going to do that.
So I figured it was her.
Okay.
And look, I was pretty pissed one that came through.
Oh, I was going to ask, is that a turnoff?
I think so, Brooke.
Yeah, it's a major turnoff to have a company
tell you your being if you've been a creep or something.
It's very disturbing and kind of frightening and very, yeah.
In a way, it's kind of flattering if you think about it.
Yeah, no, I didn't, I didn't take you that way.
I don't think it was a good idea.
I don't think it's a fun dating hack.
Yeah, Jeffrey's being sarcastic.
I mean, you know, who knows what she could have reported me for?
Well, that's a great question.
Here's a fun dating hack.
We're going to put the two of you together on the phone right now
and let you guys talk about it.
Yeah.
Yay.
Find out from the source.
Because she's been listening on the other line this whole time.
Wanted to talk to you.
You know.
Hi, Miles.
Hello, Zoe.
Hi.
I would never do that.
That was not me.
I would do that.
That wasn't you.
Really?
That wasn't you?
I would never do that.
Didn't you know how much I liked you and how much fun we had?
No, I did.
I definitely did.
And I definitely remember you saying that you were going to report me
and then I got reported.
Oh.
Do you want to just admit that it was you?
No, no.
Don't you remember?
I was joking and we were laughing about it
and you joked back about it.
I know.
It was so funny until it happened.
It was so funny.
Oh my God.
Zoe, be honest.
Did you do it?
Did you report him?
I did not do that.
I mean, I like this guy.
I want to keep him around.
in my life not push him out of it.
It was kind of a long pause
before you continued your sentence.
I don't know. I don't know. I believe her.
So, Zoe, there's zero percent chance
that you hit the report bun. Your finger
didn't slip and accidentally...
I mean, the only way that could have
happened if maybe I was like blackout
drunk one night, and I don't remember
that.
Well, that's the problem.
That's the problem with the blackout drunk is...
I mean, seriously, if I did do that,
which I don't remember doing it,
it would only be,
because I like Miles so much and I want to see him again.
Okay.
Miles,
I mean,
she told us that she was texting you about twice a day.
Was there any evening where she sent you like 60 texts?
That's a good way to judge,
Jeff.
Was there one night that was kind of weird?
Yeah.
Just slurred.
I'm looking at them right now.
She sent a lot of gifts of penguins being lonely.
Oh.
I don't know.
Only penguin.
Okay.
Do you remember that, Zoe?
No.
Those are funny.
Those are red flags.
Oh, poor Zoe.
Did she remember?
I don't know what to believe.
Miles, what happened to your fun, funny spirit that you showed me the other night?
Yeah, Miles.
It went away with the dating app membership you blocked me from.
Well, now you don't even have any other options to date other people.
We might have to take it.
We don't offer that service on this show.
It's only with Zoe.
I got to say no.
She's not even admitting it.
I know it was you, Zoe.
I know it was you that's fucking.
You're never going to get unblocked now.
I'm going to block your phone number now from our radio station.
Oh, come on, Jeff.
I'm reporting it.
Fine, please block me.
I do not want to hear from a radio station again.
Oh, man.
This is backfired.
Okay, now we need to go report.
I kind of saw that coming.
All right.
I'm going to report myself now.
Brooke and Jeffrey in the morning.
Today's episode is brought to you by Vinted.
And if you guys are anything like me, my style changes with every season.
I love keeping up with trends, but I'll go from loving one style to suddenly wanting a completely different wardrobe just a few weeks later.
And I definitely don't want to spend a ton of money every few months.
And that's why I've started using Vinted.
Vinted is a secondhand app that makes it easy for everyday sellers, people like you and me, to sell pre-loved fashion and earn some extra money.
So thanks to Vinted, what I've started doing is going through my closet, finding clothes I'm not wearing anymore, and selling them on Vinted.
It's really quick and simple.
You just list your item by taking a few pictures of it, and when it sells, Vinted sends you a prepaid shipping label.
Plus, there's no seller fees, so you keep everything you earn.
Then you can cash out your money, or what I like to do, use it right on Vinted to find some new clothes.
That way, I can refresh my wardrobe without feeling like I just spent a ton of money.
So I get to clear out my closet, make some money, and find new pieces I actually love, all on Vinted.
If you're ready to clean out your closet and make some extra money, download the Vinted app for free and start listing.
With no seller fees, you keep every dollar you earn.

I got to remember that for the next time I'm purposely trying to lie about something.
Just use the line, I didn't do it, but if I did,
I was probably a blackout drunk.
Can't blame me for that.
Yeah, I don't remember.
Remember it.
I mean, very, very characteristic, though, of me.
Airtight excuse.
Oh, man.
You know, I feel like that probably happens a lot, doesn't it?
Yeah.
Reporting people on the dating apps?
I would think.
Well, just like stuff happens when you're drunk, I guess.
But I don't know about reporting.
It's a good idea, though, because then they don't have other options.
If she doesn't get found out, if she just not opened her big mouth.
Yeah.
You know, people in their bios will be like, come on.
I want to delete this app.
Take me off Tinder because I want a match.
She's like, let me help you with that.
Yeah.
I mean, I thought that the most stolen thing from this second date was going to be the pizza delivery hack on the ride home.
But it might actually be reporting the people that you like to the dating app so they can't meet anybody else.
I like the pizza thing, though.
Yeah, I do too.
I can do that one as a married person.
Still be on the up and up.
Hopefully they have an Excel for you and the kids.
Maybe I'll invite the pizza guy in and see if he wants a babysit for a little while.
Hey, there you go, bro.
