This time I talked to scientists, biopunks, kermudgens, blues owners, super seniors,
and Goa's top cryotherapy lab to try to understand this obsession with living forever
and what it means for all of us.
And I get into a bit of trouble along the way.
I'd say probably start bone smashing.
That doesn't work.
To make it look more defined.
They say it works.
I don't know.

It's almost time for your second date updates, Brooke and Jeffrey in the morning.
And if someone vanishes in a magic act, that's cool.
Yes, really cool.
If someone vanishes during your first date, that's not as cool.
Unless it's a magic show.
Yeah.
You're dating a magician.
That's fair.
But it's especially weird when she disappears along with her.
her car.
Uh-oh.
Okay, now that's just not cool.
She's definitely gone.
That happened to one of our listeners recently.
He's not sure if she meant to do it or if there was just a weird miscommunication at the end of the night.
After you hear it, you tell us if you think it was intentional in your second date update right after this.
Brooke and Jeffrey in the morning.
Second date update.
We've had some strange requests on this segment before.
Like, for example, the listener who wanted us to pretend we were.
from a British radio show.
Yeah, that was fun.
Because he lied and said that he was from London.
Yeah, my accent's so good.
But we tried it.
Also, someone who asked our producer
if we could alter his voice
so his wife wouldn't recognize him
if she heard it.
No.
That wrong show for that.
No, not us.
Believe it or not, we do have a limit
of what we're willing to do.
It's very low.
It is.
The bar is low.
But there is a bar.
But today, one of our listeners
has emailed with a request
specifically for Brooke.
And we'll find out if she's willing to accommodate it.
Would you like another English accent?
Let's find out.
His name is Breyer.
Breyer, welcome to the show.
Hey, guys.
Hey, Brooke.
Hey.
I really need you on my side for this one.
Oh, yeah.
I can do that.
I mean, unless you did something really dumb.
There's already stipulation.
Well, it's like I said yes, and then I remembered.
I don't know anything about this man yet.
Oh, boy.
That's true.
Why do you want Brooke's approval?
I just, I've listened to Brooke on a couple of different occasions before.
You know where the real power comes from.
That's what you just need to say.
Well, yeah, I mean, in a nutshell, I enjoy your own thing.
Okay.
So let's get into your date that you went on.
What's the girl's name?
So our name was Fiona.
Okay.
I took her to like a medium-priced restaurant.
Okay.
They served a lot of different types of American food.
It was good.
Uh-oh.
Brooke, America.
I'm not a big fan lately.
I love Denny's.
Okay.
So, for my hammy.
I mean, Applebee's kind of hits sometimes.
Ooh, now I'm dreaming of apples.
Chili's is my number one, I would say.
Okay.
All right, so now we got Brooke back on board.
Let's keep going with it.
How did it go at the restaurant?
You know, it was good.
I was just really trying to focus on her and making sure that she was okay,
see if she had any type of needs.
Oh, good.
Neat?
You mean you were just like asking her questions and being inquisitive?
Yeah, I mean, like asking if she had any type of dietary restriction, you know.
Hot topic.
You know what?
That's actually good.
I mean, do you really need to ask that question?
Because I like to propose that after they've gone into anaphylactic shock.
I get it.
Because how could you be the hero and come to her rescue if she wasn't swale?
Oh, was it the crab that's making you do that with your face?
Oh, you're a grown woman.
You didn't know you were allergic to crab?
Oh, wow.
You still eat it?
Maybe if you eat more, it'll cancel out.
Yeah.
But good for you that you asked beforehand.
Okay.
That's a strong move, Brian.
But what was the date like?
Like, what was your connection like?
It was fun.
It was actually a lot of fun.
We actually started talking about childhood TV shows.
Oh, my gosh.
That's such a good fun topic.
We all want to jump in with our favorites.
Yeah.
Even you mentioned it.
I'm holding it, though.
Hold it.
Hold it.
It's not about us.
Well, yeah.
So what was your answer for favorite childhood TV show?
Well, mine was actually, hey, Arnold.
I don't know if you guys remember that.
Oh, man.
Classic.
It was great, dude.
Degenerate children, sure.
I wanted his room so bad.
What was hers?
Hers was Rugrats.
Oh, degenerate babies.
Okay.
I love Rugrats.
But look at your both Nickelodeon kids.
Oh, yeah.
Yes.
I did point that out.
Okay.
Okay.
Dude, I mean, so you're hitting it off.
Finding things you have in common.
And we also agreed that dunker-roos are actually overrated.
Dunker-Roo's?
Overrated.
Oh, my gosh.
I don't know.
I had one recently and I'm with him on that one.
Really?
Yeah, as good as a kid, but not now.
You should just keep talking about food because Brooke is not going to go against you.
We're all having a good time.
I like this.
I'm just curious.
Did you have any non-food, non-children's topics that you covered?
during your conversation?
Yeah, well, we did start talking about being single
in like this current dating climate.
It's a lot different than our past relationships.
I mean, am I wrong in saying this?
Yeah.
No, you're right.
It's crazy.
Brooke can't weigh in on that because she hasn't dated in many, many, many decades.
So she doesn't know what it's like.
It's been a long time over a decade.
I know.
You lose track of time when it's been that long.
Okay.
Well, it all sounds cute, though.
It sounds like you guys are,
I've been talking about some deeper stuff even.
You related.
Was there something bad that happened?
No, not bad.
Maybe a miscommunication or a misunderstanding.
Uh-oh.
Towards the end of the night, after we were done eating, I paid for dinner.
Yeah.
And we went to the lobby, and I had to use the restroom real quick.
After I came out, she was gone.
Like, I couldn't find her in a restaurant.
I went outside.
Her car was gone.
Oh, goodness.
Maybe she misunderstood me and like saying, hey, I have to go to a restroom.
It was nice talking to you and see you later.
But I just need to view the bathroom.
And I came back out and she was gone.
Oh, my gosh.
You thought there was going to be more after.
You know, that's a real Angelica Pickles move right there.
Yeah.
I can feel that though, like just that awkward moment.
You're like, wait, was that a goodbye?
Do I leave?
Do I stay?
And maybe she was in her head.
Like, I don't want to stay because what if he just said goodbye?
And then he comes out and I'm still here.
You know what I mean?
Without a proper goodbye, it's totally, you don't know where you stand.
So where are you and Fiona now?
She did text me a little bit later.
Oh, that's good.
Okay.
Since then, I've kind of alluded to the fact that maybe we should get up again.
I really enjoyed myself.
And she's always busy.
Oh, that's not a good sign.
Okay, could be a brush off there.
So we're going to call her here in a second.
But Brooke, where are we at with Breyer?
He's asked that you have his back here.
Are you willing to throw your support behind him during the next part of the call?
It sounds like you had a great date.
Why is your voice going so high when you say, yeah, great day?
I don't know.
I really support Breyer.
All right, we're going to come back and hopefully.
It's going to be a dog whistle.
Brooke is true to her word when we call Fiona and try and get you your second date update right after this.
Hold on then.
Brooke and Jeffrey in the morning.
Second date update.
We don't have a tough.
ton of time here. It's Brooke and Jeffrey in the morning, but we're in the middle of a second
date update where a guy named Briar desperately wants Brooke's support. Because he's heard
how these calls go. And if she's not 100% behind you, then she's 100% out to get you.
That is wrong. You are so dramatic, Jeffrey. See, Brooke is out to get me right now, 100%.
You are such a drama king. So just some bullet points about Breyer's date real quick. He took a lady
named Fiona out to a restaurant.
They bonded over childhood TV shows
and their mutual hatred of Dunkeroo's.
I'm still recapping. Please don't interrupt.
And they talked about how
dating is different nowadays
than it was with past relationships.
Are you going to go into every detail of everything
that happened? I mean, I think they just listened to part
one. This is just a quick recap.
Not everyone heard it, bro. Some people are just
tuning in right now. Just if you missed it. But after
they paid the bill, there was a little
miscommunication about using the
restroom because when he came out,
Fiona had already left and her car was gone.
At least we're hoping it's a miscommunication and she didn't just bail.
Yes. Or is it possible that her car got towed and she blames Breyer for that?
What?
Why would it be Breyer's fault?
Breyer, did you have her car towed on purpose so that she'd be stranded there and forced to get a ride home with you?
Breyer.
Breyer, you listening?
I did.
Yeah, I am listening.
No, I did not do that.
I thought you just said I did.
I'm like, I just told me what?
Okay.
I know you're saying that, but the truth will come out when we call Fiona here in a second if she picks up.
Yeah.
No, no, no.
I hope it does because I'm just completely lost after what happened.
I think she just thinks you don't like her that much.
And that is something we can quickly clear up.
Well, thank you so much, Brooke.
I really, really hope that you have my back with this because I just, I'm for lost.
Breyer, that's all I've had so far.
So let's keep going.
Let's move forward.
We're all in your corner.
I'm going to dial Fiona's number and let's see if she answers.
Here we go.
Okay.
Thank you.
Hey, is this Fiona?
Yes, who's this?
Hey, Fiona.
This is an entire radio show actually called Brooke and Jeffrey in the morning.
Hey, welcome to the show, Fiona.
Hi, good morning.
What's going on?
Yeah.
Yeah, what's going on is a segment that we do pretty regularly on the show called the Second Date Update.
Okay, that sounds fun.
Yeah, it is.
It's actually kind of fun.
It's our most popular segment.
And it could be really fun for you because,
we're talking about a guy that you went on a really nice date with recently, a guy named
Briar.
Oh.
All right.
You seem a little shy.
Yeah.
The thing is we're trying to help Breyer out because he told us about your date.
He felt like there was a good vibe happening, but he's a little bit confused because afterwards
there hasn't been any communication about a second meetup.
Oh, yeah.
No, he's reached out a couple times.
I've just been busy.
Okay.
So it really is just a scheduling thing for you.
You plan on seeing him again?
Oh.
No.
No.
You say no?
You don't plan on seeing him again?
No, not really.
Oh.
Okay.
Well, I mean, that's fine, but is there a reason why you feel that way?
Because Breyer isn't sure.
Yeah.
I mean, he's kind of sweet.
He's just a little bit of a mess.
How so?
So he talked to you.
He told you stuff.
Yeah. I mean, just in a nutshell, your date was at a nice American restaurant. You guys talked about childhood TV shows and current dating and past dating and...
So I'm guessing you heard about his breakup?
We...
Oh, no. He generalized.
Yeah, we didn't get into any, like, specifics about past relationships or anything like that.
Gotcha. Okay. So at one point, he did open up to me and was talking about how dating was different.
days and he
volunteered
the information about his last serious
relationship and
so he broke up with
like a serious girlfriend to date
an only fan's model
Oh no
that's what he told you
yeah yeah and he wore up and down that he was like
tricked into it he probably was
Only fans girls are like to date though
Yeah you're thinking of popular Onlyfans girls
There are plenty of women
on Only fans that have like one
fan.
You make an amazing point, Brooke.
Like where it's the only fan.
But Brooke, knowing what you know about Breyer, he probably gets the top tier only fans, girls.
Yeah, because you have his back, man.
Because he's that type of guy that could pull that.
I could see him, I'll tell you this.
I could see him being sweet and maybe a little naive when it comes to.
Yeah, so sweet.
I mean, he was crying.
Oh, no.
Oh, no.
At the table, he was crying about the only fans?
Yeah, he was crying at the table.
Because he found out that the only fans model wouldn't commit to him because she's in a relationship, too.
Oh, wow.
Okay.
Okay.
So you found out that Breyer left his girlfriend to be with an only fan's woman who refused to commit fully to him.
Correct.
And which part of that was a turn off to you?
Yeah, was he paying for only fans while in a relationship still, too?
For me, it was like, we were talking about Dunkeroo's and kids' shows.
and then now he's crying at the table about his only fans model.
And I'm like, yep, dating do be different.
Okay, do you think he's not over the only fans girl?
Part of me I think he's not over it because why you be crying.
And then I'm also like, what if this is us?
And then you meet another only fans model and she's telling you that she's going to be with you.
Yeah.
If you deposit X amount of money.
Maybe.
or is there a chance that that was just kind of a made-up story as like a flex.
Sometimes guys will do that.
As a flex that he got left by an only fan's mom?
A boy is not going to flex and then cry.
Well, I'm just saying, you never know.
I think everyone knows it's for the money.
We should really ask Breyer about it because I need to tell you, Fiona, he is on the other line right now listening to this call.
Oh, buddy.
What?
Yeah.
Briar are you there?
Yeah.
Oh, right.
How you doing?
I feel a little bit embarrassed, but I'm okay.
Okay.
You call the radio station, Briar?
Like, what did you think is going to happen?
Well, I was just kind of trying to figure out what was going on.
I mean, I tried to reach out to you.
You always said that you're busy.
I mean, what's going on?
I think, okay, just rule of thumb, future dating.
One, I'm busy.
She might be busy.
Four, I'm busy.
do you want to see you?
Well, I mean, you told me that you were busy three times.
So what does that mean?
The assumption is there that you would text again.
Okay.
You just got to put yourself in her shoes, right?
Like, if you were on a date and a woman was crying about her ex,
you probably wouldn't feel great about that future with them.
I mean, I was comfortable with her at the end of the day.
And I don't mind being sensitive.
and she was sensitive to me, I would be open to it as well.
I mean, is it wrong that I was open to her book?
No.
Yeah, you're a little vulnerable.
No, it just comes off as maybe you're not over the ex.
You know, that's the thing.
But maybe you were crying because she took all your money.
Like, was that why you're crying instead?
Yeah.
Well, she didn't take all my money.
She just took some of it.
Yeah.
Well, that's really generous of her to leave some left over for you to date other women.
Oh, man.
Fiona, like, how many men have been scammed by beautiful women?
A lot.
Thousands.
Thousands.
I mean, all you want is for Briar to have learned his lesson, right?
Sure.
Yeah.
I do want that for him.
That's good.
And you could help give that to him if you agree to go on another day, a date that we would pay for.
I'll promise that I won't cry on the second date.
Honestly, wild that you didn't promise yourself that on the first.
date.
Oh, man.
Fiona, do you want to date a guy who's bottling his emotions just for you?
At least about his ex.
No, I don't want that either.
Oh, man.
You're a confusing woman, Fiona.
What did Avrilaville say?
Complicated.
So you just want to hook up with him once and then move on.
I'll be down for that.
Okay.
Of course you would.
Okay, so is that a yes to the hookup?
Breyer.
Very kind of you to say that, that you felt comfortable with him.
me and you're very sweet, but no.
Oh, my gosh.
That's okay. That's okay.
Breyer, I'm sorry, man.
I don't even know
what to say. I guess I'll go back to crying.
Don't go back to OnlyFam.
No, don't do that.
He can't afford that, Alexis.
Briar, please don't cry again right now.
I can't guarantee that.
Oh, buddy.
I want to take it before he starts.
I want to give him a hug.
All right. Well, you know what, Briar, it's not a date with Fiona, but we'll set you and Brooke up so you guys can hug and cry and do each other's arms.
I mean, I'm married, so it's nothing more than that, okay?
Well, he was in a relationship before, too, so yeah.
Brooke and Jeffrey in the morning.
Today's episode is brought to you by Vinted.
And if you guys are anything like me, my style changes with every season.
I love keeping up with trends, but I'll go from loving one style to suddenly wanting a completely different wardrobe just a few weeks later.
And I definitely don't want to spend a ton of money every few months.
And that's why I've started using Vinted.
Vinted is a secondhand app that makes it easy for everyday sellers,
people like you and me, to sell pre-loved fashion, and earn some extra money.
So thanks to Vinted, what I've started doing is going through my closet,
finding clothes I'm not wearing anymore, and selling them on Vinted.
It's really quick and simple.
You just list your item by taking a few pictures of it, and when it sells, Vinted sends you
a prepaid shipping label.
Plus, there's no seller fees, so you keep everything you earn.
Then you can cash out your money or what I like to do, use it right on Vinted to find some new clothes.
That way, I can refresh my wardrobe without feeling like I just spent a ton of money.
So I get to clear out my closet, make some money, and find new pieces I actually love all on Vinted.
If you're ready to clean out your closet and make some extra money, download the Vinted app for free and start listing.
With no seller fees, you keep every dollar you earn.
Behind every night spent making the kids lunches, there's a lot of suspense.
Will they finally eat the veggies?
Will the Pesto survive the first bite?
Will the lunchbox come home empty, half full, or come home at all?
And will you finish episode 8 before you're done slicing the cucumbers?

We're getting a lot of texts in to 785 from the listeners saying Breyer is just the sweetest man.
And then are they a text?
catching their Venmo so that Breyer can send them money.
No, they're not doing that and nobody's asking to go out with him either.
But they do like him.
Yeah.
Are there any OnlyFans girls like, subscribe to me?
Yeah, probably.
I mean, come on, ladies.
A guy who cries at the dinner table on a first date after openly admitting that he broke up with
his last girlfriend to date an OnlyFans model, where's the red flag there?
I dare you to find it.
I wish we could break that sentence up a little bit.
Yeah, he felt like a lot.
Just there may be a few problems.
there.
All right.
Maybe Breyer has some personal stuff he needs to work out first before he dives back into the
dating pool.
But I still support men that cry Alexis.
That's right.
I thought that just not about your ex.
Okay.
All right.
There we go.
Cry about anything else.
You can even cry while you email the show while asking us for help.
Oh, if we see tears, we will help.
Yes.
Put those crying emojis in your email.
And we will definitely call that person who's not calling you back.
And Brooke will have your back 100%.
Oh, let's not.
just make that a blanket promise.
Let her assess the situation.
Okay, give us a few details
and then we can help you out.
But go subscribe wherever you get your podcast.
We're up at Brooke and Jeffrey.
Brooke and Jeffrey in the morning.
We like to shake things up
every now and again on this show.
But no, Brooke, for the 400th time,
we're not adding roadkill reviews on the tens.
Better read nicknats.
People would like that.
I wanted those.
We know the mango chutney raccoon tail taste amazing,
especially if it's microwaved.
I mean, how can you even say that without not wanting to talk more about it?
No, we get it.
But this time we're shaking things up by doing an alternate version of our infamous second date update.
You're going to have to hear it to believe it.
We're doing it.
No spoilers.
It's coming up.
Next.
Brooke and Jeffrey in the morning, second date update.
When you go on a date with someone and they suddenly break off all communications,
no reasons given.
That's called being ghosted.
And that's what our second date updates are all about.
Yeah, it happens a lot.
If you're just learning the term now, you're a little behind.
Or I guess we'd also accept the terms breadcrumbing, orbiting, semi-orbiting.
Okay, now you're getting...
And getting semi-trucked.
What is that?
That's what happened to me off Exit 16 last Friday.
Got 18 wheeled within an inch of my life.
It's a good thing.
You weren't disappointed, though.
No, it was the happiest I've been in years.
But what is the first?
about the people that are past the first or second date, but not quite into an exclusive
relationship yet.
Oh, you're like in the situation.
It's still ghosty, though, isn't it?
It's just like worse.
Right.
The thing is, we didn't really have an outlet, a segment on this show to help them with that
until today.
Oh, real.
Because we're about to do our first ever 20-second date update.
Ew.
For people who've been seeing someone for like a month or so, and now suddenly,
it's not going well and they need our help.
Okay.
And that's why our listener, Brittany, emailed saying the guy that she's been hanging out with has been acting a little distant.
She can't figure it out.
So Brittany, welcome to the show.
I know this is a little bit different than our second date update.
So let's just start with what's the name of the guy?
Are you two like in contact with each other now or not in contact?
Like what's the situation?
So his name is Mark.
Okay.
We've been dating for about a month and a half.
half now. We're not living with each other.
Oh my God. Wait. What? Yeah.
No, I'd assume that. After a month and a half you were going to move in.
I'm just letting you know that's kind of where we are. We're not at the stage to move in at all.
Are your boyfriend, girlfriend, then? Like officially?
I think so. I...
Oh, that means no. No, you're not. Just going to tell you.
You haven't had the official talk yet, then. Yeah.
Right. Like, I've deleted my dating apps, and he says that he was not going to be on the dating
app either. Okay. Here's how we're going right now. Starting off awesome, of course, as most new
relationships do. But lately, we haven't been hanging out as much at night. Like, before we'd
like go on night dates or maybe I'd have a little stay over or something like that. And now
it's not as much at night. Well, I mean, doesn't that happen? Like, after like a month or so,
it's like, all right. Now we see each other maybe twice a week instead of five days a week.
I think usually it goes the opposite.
Usually if you're really into something or someone, sorry, or something.
Yeah.
You stay longer than you start eating stuff and you leave extra clothes.
You end up spending more time at their place than you do at your own place if it's progressing well.
Brittany would have been moved in by now if they had gone to her way.
Sounds like it.
But that's not happening.
He seems to be distancing himself.
Right.
Like, I'm just getting these red flags.
Like, we're not at the point where I have his phone password.
So I can't really look at what these texts are about, but I do notice that he is texting with a girl who has the same name as his ex.
Oh, okay.
That's an little shady.
Have you, like, brought that fact up to him that you've seen the messages coming from someone with his ex's name?
Well, I haven't said anything because I don't want to rock the boat and cause problems because it's so fresh and so early in this relationship.
I just have been getting a feeling that he's like hiding something.
Man, I mean, how is all of this affecting you, like, emotionally?
Because if it was me and I was seeing ex-text coming in, I would have air-tagged all of his stuff by now.
What?
Why are you not just asking him?
I don't understand.
You'd be paranoid without getting an answer?
Okay.
Well, yeah.
I mean, why aren't you doing that?
I mean, I'm not because I just don't want to lose him because I really like him.
and so I don't want to create this confrontation in case.
It's like, oh, my gosh, my sister's name is the same as my accident.
Okay, I don't think that's probably going to be the sister's names after.
Yeah, and like, we're at the point where we're like, oh my gosh, you want a dog?
I want a dog.
Let's get a dog together.
Not right now, but like.
Sounds like we're getting a little quick into this relationship.
You guys are moving through stages.
Even when you guys both stop going on dating sites, that's another stage towards.
But you can't ask about question.
But you want to live together and get a dog.
Yeah.
But I see what she's.
doing, she's like considering how he would take the conversation. He might feel attacked.
If she's like, why am I getting these texts? Why aren't we living together yet? Where's our dog?
Wait, wait, though. I mean, that feels a lot more simple than having us intervene. What do you want
us to do about it? I don't know. I just, I don't like confrontation. And I don't want to make things
worse and really need your help to just figure it out where I don't say something stupid to his face.
Yeah. I mean, you all that are the other.
professionals. The professional
confrontational people. I'm a professional
comedian lady. I'm not here for dating.
You may end up getting
hurt here. He just sounds like he may not be
as interested as he was.
And I don't say that to like be mean.
But by.
I mean, that might be hard for
me to hear but if he's feeling
that way, then I would like to hear it.
Yeah. That's fair.
Okay. So I mean, normally
when we would do second date updates, we're asking
about the date when we're talking to the person on the other line, this is going to be different
with a 22nd date update.
We're going to call him and confront him about the relationship issues that he doesn't know
that his girlfriend has with him.
Confront such a strong word.
Okay.
Put it as politely ask.
Well, politely poke his brain and try and get some answers for why he's suddenly becoming
more distant in your new relationship when we come back and give you your first ever
22nd date update.
What folder do we put this in on the podcast?
People are just good they get to typo.
Oh, that's it.
Okay, maybe a good thing.
It's all Alexis's fault when we come back right after this.
Brooke and Jeffrey in the morning.
Second date update.
If you're just joining us, we're doing our first ever 20-second date update
with our listener, Brittany, who's been seeing a guy named Mark for the last like six weeks or so.
Even though they're not officially labeled as boyfriend and girlfriend,
they have agreed to get off the apps and try to focus more on each other.
Britney doesn't really feel like he's been doing that, though, especially not lately.
He seems to be going out more at nights, acting more distant from her.
And the really big red flag that stood out to her is he's been getting text messages from a woman with the same name as his ex-girlfriend.
It does not feel like a coincidence, Jeff.
Yeah, we got to say everything else.
Can we give her the benefit?
At least she's not like, it's his ex.
She's like trying to be optimistic.
Because she can't read the text messages because he hasn't shared his past.
Yeah, he doesn't have his going.
But bottom line, a lot of concerns on her side, and she personally hates confrontation,
doesn't want to risk the relationship in that way.
So she's asked us to step in and try to investigate for her.
Because the one thing we love is confrontation.
I know.
We're trying to keep it light here with you, Brittany, but I know you must be going through a lot emotionally right now before we make the call.
Oh, yeah.
I'm a little stressed, but, I mean, I got to find out before we keep going, you know?
Yeah.
Just remember, you're like eight weeks.
into this thing.
Yeah.
You know, it feels a lot, but it does feel like a lot.
But you're going to look back and be like, oh, that guy?
I forgot about him.
Actually, she's six weeks into it.
Let's not like rush ahead into the relationship.
Oh, yeah.
Your friends aren't even going to remember this guy's name.
Jumping straight to marriage, basically.
They haven't signed a lease yet, Brooke.
It's not as serious as it feels.
Yeah, that's the best way to say it.
Yeah, for sure.
I just, I just really like him and I'm hoping that it's something really like.
Totally.
And we hope that too for you.
Yes, we do.
But not for the show drama.
So let's just see what happens for our very first
22nd date update.
We're still really doing this.
We're branding it.
Here we go.
Hello.
Hey, is this Mark?
This is Mark.
Hey, man.
Thanks for picking up the phone.
We're actually a radio show.
We're called Brooke and Jeffrey in the morning.
Hey, Mark.
Hi.
What's up, Mark?
Good morning.
Sorry, I'm laughing because I'm curious how Jeff is going to explain
why we're calling you.
Oh, yeah.
I'm sorry.
What is this?
So this is a segment we do for the very first time.
It's called a 20-second date update.
Oh, it just doesn't tell me.
Roll right off the tongue.
Wait, I'm sorry.
What is how?
I feel like I'm, do you guys mean to call me?
Yes.
Yes.
We've been asked to call you by the woman that you're seeing lately, a woman named Brittany.
Okay, so Brittany called you guys?
Yes.
Yes.
Because she really likes you.
Yeah.
But bottom line is she's noticed some differences.
She feels like you've been a little bit more distant, going out more at nights than you used to.
Uh-huh, uh-huh.
Okay.
Yeah, maybe not as interested in her.
Yeah.
And judging from that response, I can't see why she would think that.
But there's also a big problem that she's noticed with your text messages.
She's not reading them.
It sounds so naggy.
She's not saying it like this.
She freaked out because she saw a name pop up on your phone.
But in a non-confrontational type of way.
Yeah, when you say the word confrontational, it doesn't take it away.
Okay.
Just tell him.
Tell him the name.
Well, I don't know the name, but...
Why doesn't she just talk to me about it?
We asked her the exact same question.
You would think that would be the first step.
Yes.
She is very scared of rocking the boat.
Because she really values this relationship, this blossoming potential relationship that you two have.
and doesn't want to create an issue if there isn't one.
So is there one?
I mean, look, there's a couple things she doesn't know,
but I don't think it's a big deal.
Okay, wait.
She did say that you guys both deleted your dating apps.
Right.
Does that mean that you're only seeing her,
or are you still seeing other people?
No, no, no.
I'm only seeing her, but I am technically seeing an ex-girlfriend.
What?
Seeing.
Wait, wait.
It's not I've only seen her.
No, no, no.
Is that dating?
You need to explain, dude.
Yes.
It's not romantic.
It's just I don't have a choice.
How are you somehow a victim in this?
You don't have a choice?
Hold on, hold on.
No, no, no, no.
It's just I split custody of our French bulldog.
Oh.
So I have to, like, coordinate with her, like, the drop-offs every other week.
That's why.
I see.
Is that all, though?
No, that's all.
How would she not know that you have a dog,
every other week.
Yeah.
That's what I'm wondering.
Well, the thing is, I don't have actual custody.
I just have visitation rights.
What?
Wait, what?
That's so lame.
So hold on a second.
Let me clarify.
Uh-oh.
So hold on.
Wait, sorry.
Brittany.
Yeah.
Yeah, that's Brittany.
She's on the other line listening to this phone call.
Suddenly, she's really good at confrontation.
It sounds like.
Wait a minute.
No, I just need a little bit of clarification.
So what you're saying is that you're ditching me to hang out with you.
the dog and your old doggy mama.
Okay.
I mean, why wouldn't you tell me this?
Why have you been hiding this?
Yeah.
Well, I mean, I was going to tell you.
I just, I didn't know how to and I didn't know if it was like weird or if you'd think it was like normal or weird.
I just didn't know how to tell you.
Do you only have visitation rights at night?
Because it's the nights that you're not hanging out with Brittany.
Yeah, it's visitation on Wednesday night.
Oh, so you're like tucking the dog in.
You're not going and seeing other girls, are you?
No, no, I'm not.
And your ex isn't inviting you to stay the night on Wednesday night, is she?
No, no, it's like I don't even go inside if I can avoid it.
I just go in the backyard with the dog and, like, play for a few hours.
Oh, my God.
Like, I literally found a chewed up tennis ball in your jacket.
Yeah, that's like, what is this?
I got a nervous tick.
I chew tennis balls.
Oh, so it's legit.
Like, he's okay.
I mean, I'd put my pet before a girl I met for six weeks.
I mean.
Well, I mean, Brittany, now that you've heard that, how does that make you feel?
Does that make you feel better about the situation?
I mean, I feel weird because you lied to me and secretly sharing custody of a dog with your ex.
I'm sorry I lied, but, I mean, it's just, you know, it's hard to be a good single dog parent and do with the best interest of my dog son.
Oh.
I think, Brittany, I think you got to love.
Let this one slide a little bit.
It sounds really sweet.
Yeah.
Well, I do have to say, I mean, in the interest of full disclosure, I actually don't share
custody of just one.
I actually share custody of two dogs, two different women.
Jeez, what's that?
He's a real dog.
Wait, now I'm confused.
Do you remember Brittany told us that they were talking about getting a dog?
Oh, yeah.
I was going to say, like, if we got a dog and we broke up, you're going to have three
dogie mommies?
And why?
You're way better with dogs than women, that's for sure.
I don't know, because he's not getting full custody of any of these dogs.
Yeah, the only visitation rights.
Are you just trying to be a part-time dog owner?
No, no, I'm just trying to do right by my children.
I mean, my dog's children.
Like, is my life supposed to be doggy stepmom now?
Cute.
I mean, it's a Frenchie.
It's kind of cute.
That is cute.
I mean, I would love for you to meet at least one of them at some point soon.
At some point.
That's a big sense.
You don't want to rush introducing your children to a new relationship.
Exactly.
I don't know.
Yeah.
That makes sense.
Don't traumatize those dogs for the rest of their lives.
I mean, they will end up loving me better than their original mom.
Oh, I'm never going to get into a custody battle.
Like, I don't know.
This is getting kind of messy now.
Man, this isn't good.
Okay.
I would just suggest if you guys are going to stay in this relationship,
let's hold off on getting another dog for a while.
That's for sure.
Or decide it's one person's forever.
Yes, yes.
But Brittany, now that the whole situation is laid out, you know, he's not cheating on you.
Do you feel better about the situation?
Like, where's your head at?
Yeah, it's kind of sweet.
Do you ask him to go out or do you have to do that?
I mean, no, it's not a second date update.
We're not offering to send them out again.
So you guys are going to agree to continue dating.
Why can't we send him on a date?
Yeah, why can't you send us on a date?
I don't have to do a joke for the dog and then the doggy's mom.
And like, there's too many moving parts in this.
You two can just go to a dog-friendly bar.
You two can just go to a free dog.
park together and talk things out there.
Perfect.
Maybe the dog mom will let you take the dog
to the dog park.
Oh, wow.
Meeting the X?
I have to put in a request two months ahead of time,
so it's going to be a while.
Oh, wow.
Okay.
Well.
What did you do in that relationship?
I know.
How are to do the dogs?
Well, at least we have some clarification.
That's what we came here to do.
So best of luck to the two of you
in your developing situation.
Thanks so much.
for helping with confrontation.
Yeah.
Wow, this is a lot.
Still for a couple that's not official.
Yeah.
There's a lot of drama going on.
And we'll come back in a few weeks to get our 40-second date update with you and figure out where you are with your dogs.
Vinted is a secondhand app that makes it easy for everyday sellers, people like you and me,
to sell pre-loved fashion, and earn some extra money.
So thanks to Vinted, what I've started doing is going through my closet, finding clothes I'm not
wearing anymore, and selling them on Vinted.

Bell, connection is everything.
Now, for me and for I think everybody in the room, that was weirdly kind of sweet to hear that.
Some people might say, though, it's a red flag that the person you're dating has multiple doggy mama drama and has already suggested adopting a third.
Yeah, I was at Sweet with one.
And then when we got to two, I'm like, dude, what are you doing?
Right.
I mean, eventually, her nights are going to be fully booked up visiting all these baby doggies, not to mention having to go over for their birthdays and their piano recitals.
And I really think that he has kind of an inflated idea of how important he is to the dog.
With his visitations once a week
Once a week with it
So if she decides to stick with it
It's going to be quite a commitment from her
I'm not sure if she really realizes
What she's signing up for
I guarantee you they're going to email us back
In three months
And they're going to have a dog together
And then another six months
And then they're going to be broken up
It's a cycle
This man's in a cycle
And we didn't even ask him about cats
Yeah
We don't know if he has other animals
Or grand baby dogs
That he has to deal with too
You got to span neuterous.
That's true.
So what I think she really needs to be signing up for is our YouTube channel.
That is not going to help.
You subscribe to it.
And it helps us.
And, yeah, I'm not going to help her in a relationship.
But we would love to have you.
We have all of our content up on our YouTube page at Brooke and Jeffrey.
