Starting point is 00:02:00 want one, you can email the show, brookandjubal at moving925.com. We'll call the person that didn't call you back and hopefully make it very awkward. No. Hopefully get you a real reason why the person, the dude or the girl hasn't called you back. When we get the answer. We have right now on the phone, Clifton. Clifton, what's up, man? Hey, what's going on, bro?
Starting point is 00:02:21 Not much, dude. Now, tell us about the girl that you want to get a hold of. Her name's Allison. She's just unbelievable gorgeous, dude. Like, drop dead. I mean, the first time I saw her, I mean, even in the picture, I was, like, blown away, you know? You're attracted to her. We got it. So what'd you do on your date?
Starting point is 00:02:41 I ended up actually taking her up north on this hot air balloon ride. It was really sweet. It was super romantic. Or a little much. No, I've always wanted to do that in Snohomish. You can do that up there. Okay, that's cool. I even rented this gorgeous cabin.
Starting point is 00:02:59 What are you doing? Super quiet, like in the trees and everything. Yeah, it was a whole weekend. This was a first date? Yeah, but I'm telling you, this was, I mean, the first time I saw her, I have no desire to be with her again. I feel like this is a lot to do on a first date, like a cabin and a hot air balloon ride. Did you feel like maybe it was a little much, Clifton? No way, man, no way.
Starting point is 00:03:22 Because I even had, I made sure there was a couch. So I was like, look, if you would rather me not sleep with you, I can sleep on the couch. Nice. I made it. I was very, very gentlemanly. I even had a chef. Like, I brought the chef in. He's my friend.
Starting point is 00:03:34 Good Lord, man. You are the chef? You guys, he is recreating The Bachelor right now. Yeah, I know. It's what he's doing. Clifton, so you spent a lot of money and did a crazy first date, and she hasn't called you back? That's what I'm confused about, because she had a great time, but just when the call right back home, she just got really quiet and awkward. Okay.
Starting point is 00:03:54 And I've been calling her, and I haven't heard anything. Did you guys do it? I don't like to kiss and tell. Yeah. You don't feel like doing all that on a first date is a little too much too fast? It's a girl of my dreams, bro. Like, straight up. It just happens.
Starting point is 00:04:11 We're going to call her right after this and see why she hasn't gotten back to you. That's next on Moving 92.5. Moving 92.5. Brooke and Jubal in the morning. Second date update. Okay, Clifton's on the phone. He's ready to call Allison, who didn't get back to him after their first date. Clifton, real quick, break down your first date.
Starting point is 00:04:32 Just what you did. Oh, yeah, okay. We went on a hot air balloon ride. And after the hot air balloon ride, we went back to the cabin where I had a chef. He cooked all his four-course meal. We had duck and all that stuff. And we were there for the weekend. It was very romantic. And then I drove her home. I think Allison
Starting point is 00:04:47 is crazy for not calling you back because if you took me out on that date, okay, I'm trying to get pregnant that night. Because that is the best first date ever. Alright, we're gonna call Allison right now. See if we can get her on the phone and then ask her why she didn't get back to you, okay? Awesome. Thank you so much. Have you ever done anything this
Starting point is 00:05:03 extravagant for a girl before? Never. Never. I mean, I'm a hopeless romantic. It was the best date ever. It was. It really was. I'm all Twitterpated.
Starting point is 00:05:13 All right. Hang on. Hang on, Clifton. The phone's ringing. We can tell. Hello? Hey, may I speak to Allison, please? This is Allison.
Starting point is 00:05:24 Hi, Allison. How are you? This is Jubal from Brook and Jubal in the Morning. I'm moving 92.5. What's going on? Um, not a whole lot. You wonder why I'm calling? A little bit.
Starting point is 00:05:37 You and I have a mutual friend. It's a buddy of mine named Clifton. Uh-huh. He took you on a very expensive and elaborate first date where you guys went on a balloon ride, stayed in a cabin, had a chef cook for you. Does that ring a bell? I hope it rings a bell.
Starting point is 00:05:53 Who does that ring a bell? Are you getting confused with any other date? Since you went on your date, you haven't called him back, and that's why I'm calling. I wanted to see what your reason was for not returning his phone calls. I don't know if I want to talk about it on the radio. Clifton actually emailed us because he was curious. So he's prepared to hear whatever answer you have. I don't know. I don't know if I want to hurt his feelings or anything. Allison, I'm also curious because I've never heard of such a crazy
Starting point is 00:06:26 first date. Can you just at least tell me if you liked it? I mean, like, it was really cool and everything, but it was just, like, so over the top. Okay. For a first date, it kind of freaked me out. So
Starting point is 00:06:42 it was just too much? The cabin kind of scared you off? Well, there was one more thing that happened on the drive home we were talking about our grandparents and he like pulled a picture on his phone of his grandmother's engagement ring and i was like um like it's our first date it's a little soon to be like. What did he say when he showed it to you? Was it kind of like a, this could all be yours someday type of comment? No, I don't think so.
Starting point is 00:07:16 I think, you know, he was just showing it to me to just show it to me. But it still was like, why would you show me your grandmother's engagement ring on our first date? Yeah. Allison, Clifton's actually on the phone right now. Clifton, say hi to Allison. Allison, Allison, what's up? I need to explain that just really quickly. I didn't mean that at all.
Starting point is 00:07:34 My grandma, she just got her new cell phone, and she just figured out how to send picture messages. And she just sent me that picture because she just got a shine. You were just in the car with me. I was not trying to hint anything. Like, I can totally understand. Oh, that was funny. That would freak you out.
Starting point is 00:07:49 Like, I'm really sorry. Like, I did not mean for it to be like that. Okay. Oh, my gosh. Well, like, okay, I'll be real with you. Like, I had an amazing time. And all the crazy, like, hot air balloons and all the chef stuff. It's just me trying to be romantic.
Starting point is 00:08:08 Like, I literally am straight out of a Disney movie. It's ridiculous. Yeah, obviously. I can't help it. I can't help it. I really liked you a lot. Okay, slow down, Clifton. Slow down.
Starting point is 00:08:20 Sorry, I get excited. Take a deep breath. I've never been on a date like that before. I mean, I thought it was like sweet. Yeah, YOLO. Why not? We had some things in common and he was really nice, but it was just like
Starting point is 00:08:37 so much. Right. It was a little overwhelming. Clifton, you realize that if you do go out with Allison again, you have a lot to live up to. How do you improve on that first date? It's all downhill from here. Clifton, I think you need to understand
Starting point is 00:08:56 that you don't need to impress women in that manner. Maybe you should just try to get to know her instead of blow her mind. I just didn't want to mess it up, obviously i did um it's kind of cute like i understand it but please like i i really would do anything and and i get it like i'll slow down but please like i would love if you would just come out to a simple dinner like just just in town to sweeten the deal allison um we'll pay for you guys to go out for a second date. I don't know if we can afford his budget.
Starting point is 00:09:27 You know what? You guys might just be getting a regular dinner and regular wine. Dick's hamburgers? Yeah, exactly. We didn't rent a castle somewhere for you guys. Allison, do you want to go out with him again? Give it another shot? Why not? I did like him. I just thought it was over the top. Why not? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:46 I did like him. I just thought it was over the top. All right. Yes. Good, good. I'll take it. I'll take it. To me, all I heard was, I'm renting a private jet to take her somewhere.
Starting point is 00:09:58 All right. Congratulations, you guys. Invite us to the wedding, okay? In two weeks. Yeah. It's Brooke and Jubal in the morning. White knuckles. Joel, the holidays
