Actually, I work in IT and her real name is Amber, but she said, oh my god, that's so crazy because my real name is Microsoft. Okay. And I said, okay, what does that mean? She says, because I was hoping I could crash at your place tonight. Oh my god.

Yeah. Yeah. Nice. So it was a dork joke, too. I like it. Oh, yeah. Just my kind of, like, dad humor. I love it. Yeah.

And IT humor. Did she use it in person? Like, how did she use that? No, she just went over, you know, one of the apps. Oh, okay. You guys met online. Yeah. And we just decided to get together.

That's such a bummer to show up at a place and then realize once you sit down, like, oh crap, I can't afford this. There's no turning back. Yeah. Did you show that to her? Did you show those cards?

Well, when the check came, I asked her. I said, I don't really make a lot of money, and maybe we could go Dutch on this. That would be really cool. And she was happy to do that. And she said, yeah, no problem. Expensive place. I mean, I'm sure that's what she said, but she was thinking like this cheap guy. Yeah, you may be right.

I mean, for me, I'm fine going Dutch if you agree to it prior to the date. Right. Like, I feel like it's something you have to establish before you even go out. When the bill comes and you just don't want to pay that much money, it does feel not super rad. Yeah. And I was worried that that was going to happen. But she took it really well. So we both threw our cards down,

and when they came back with the check, she said, don't leave a tip. Oh, she was going to leave it. Okay. All right. Yeah, that's what I thought, that she was going to pay it, but she said, no, look,

I don't think you should leave a tip, and I'm not going to leave a tip. What? And I thought that was crazy because the service was awesome. Wait. Dude, don't leave a tip on an expensive bill. That's horrible.

What is going on? Yeah, that's really rude. That'd be a huge red flag. Yeah. I was kind of blown away. She's like, trust me, don't leave a tip. What? And it's the first date, and I didn't want to not listen to her,

and I just didn't do it. And now I... You didn't leave a tip? I didn't leave a tip. And now I... You didn't leave a tip? I didn't leave a tip. And now I feel like a jackass. Some poor server's missing out on at least like 20, 30, who knows? Wait, though. Did she ever give a reason?

No, she didn't. And we have not spoken since that night. Good. Then don't call her. This conversation's over. Why would you even want to go out with her? That's a terrible thing to do. It's a bad sign, bro.

Because we had a, because the whole evening was awesome, except for that. I love how all of us would dump her immediately. Yeah. Like, no, I mean, like, she literally could be Mother Teresa, and she didn't leave a tip. I'm like, nope. Nope. I don't know, but she had so much conviction. It was like she had a reason, and she just didn't want to get into it there.

And I thought we would, I assumed we would talk about it later, but we just, we never got the chance to. And now she's not answering my calls, and I don't know what to do. Wow. Okay, so she used you for an expensive meal and then didn't want to put a tip on it. She didn't use him because she had to pay half of it. I mean, like, what are you talking about? liked about her or what your connection was like. Well, we like the same kind of comedy. We like the same shows, movies, and, you know, we're both into tech. Okay. Right. Because she had that Microsoft joke at the beginning. Yeah.

She's just kind of like a, you know, I'm kind of a nerd and she's a little bit of a nerd and she's got a great laugh, and I smiled the whole night. Aw, see, it sounds great other than the tip thing. I know. How could a lovely woman be so evil? I'm not evil. I don't know. Pretty evil.

No tip. I want an answer. Yeah, me too. So let's call this evil person. Oh, great. Don't label her. Well, okay. We'll see.

I say shady because Amber told Kevin not to leave a tip at the restaurant that they went to. And when she said that, Kevin took a stance.

He got up, he threw his napkin down on the table, he looked Amber right in the eye, and he said, Okay. That's exactly what he did. Sorry, I threw my napkin. I'm sorry, whatever you say. She wouldn't tell him why, and he didn't want to cause a big scene in the restaurant,

so he didn't leave a tip, and he feels absolutely horrible about it. Yeah. I feel like we should be calling the waiter or waitress that was there. We feel horrible. The server. And even worse, not only did he stiff the waiter, but now Amber won't even call him back. Oh, man. He's not worth it, dude.

So, Kevin wants some answers. Is that right, Kevin? Yeah, I'd like some answers. Yeah. It sounds the same way. It's like, okay, if you say so, let's get answers. I want what you want. That was a pretty devastating recap.

Have you ever heard of that before? No. Okay. Well, the way it works is if you go out on a date with someone and afterwards if they're not calling you back you can email our show and we'll reach out to that person for you to try and figure out the reason why i know it's stupid it's stupid you don't have to laugh at us but you went out with somebody recently who had a good time with you

and ever since then you've kind of ghosted and they don't know why. His name is Kevin. Okay. Do you remember Kevin? Yeah. He had a lot of nice things to say about you. I mean, he even told us about your opening line, the Microsoft pickup line. So good. Crash at your place. Uh-huh. Okay. Okay. Do you have anything nice to say about him? He was nice. It was fine. Oh, she doesn't care. I mean, Kevin did tell us about kind of an awkward moment that happened on the date, and he doesn't really know what caused it,

but he said at the very end of the night after you guys were paying your bill, you told him to leave no tip for the waiter. Wow. Oh my God. No, I just can't believe that he told you that. It's a huge moment. Who doesn't tip? I mean, Amber, I'm going to tell you right now. We were all questioning why he'd even

want to call you after you did it. Brooke is mad. Sorry, my mic just fell out of the... Sorry. Our equipment isn't top-notch here, but we're a top-notch show. We want answers. Yeah, what's going on, Amber?

Why would you do that? Honestly, I'm not sure if I should actually tell you. Why? Okay, we want to get him a date and everything, but this is really the answer I want to know. Like, why wouldn't you tip? Was the service not good? Was your food bad?

Yeah, how do you know the waiter? Was he an ex? No. Is he a current boyfriend? No. Okay. So Kevin asked me where I wanted to go eat, which was fine. And I told him to go on Yelp and look for a good Italian place.

Right. He picked the restaurant. Yes. I mean, he said it, but I led him in that direction. Okay. I made sure he said it, but I, I led him in that direction. Like, I made sure it was that particular restaurant. Just so you could stiff the waiter. The thing about this whole thing is that the waiter and I, we have, we have a business agreement. We work together. What? What do you mean you work together? Oh, you work at the restaurant too? No. No. The waiter pays me to demean him. What?

Oh. It's his fetish. Oh, you do that on the side. Yeah. You're like one of those S&M chicks that people hire to feel bad about themselves. To humiliate you. Yeah, but it's a little different because it's not sexual. There's no, we don't meet up or anything.

It's all based on coming into his restaurant and treating him not well, not leaving a tip. What? Yeah, so I always make sure when I go on these dates, I call ahead. I make sure I'm seated in a particular area. I make sure to, like, not really treat him well. And then I don't tip. So he pays you to not pay him. Correct.

So you're purposely rude to him. Because he likes it. It makes him. I mean, Amber clearly likes it, too, from the way that she's talking about it. She's, like, laughing about it it she's getting paid for it and you guys never meet you like you have never done anything sexual with the waiter yeah and then the only like communication outside of that of like me going to the restaurant is that i call him after and tell him how he is at his job and just like, Oh my God. How do you even stumble into this line of work?

I cannot imagine what Kevin is thinking. I'm stumped. I mean, I didn't tell him anything because I know it's weird. Well, you think you didn't tell him, but you actually kind of did. Because he's actually been on the other line listening and he heard everything that you said. Good God. Are you serious? Yeah.

Why does it have to be dates, Amber? If this guy just wants you to humiliate him at work, why can't you just take your girlfriends there or something? To play with people's emotions is really screwed up. I understand where you're coming from, but if you knew how much I was getting paid to do this, I promise you would too.
