Starting point is 00:03:08 you. Yes. But first, some time for reflection. Oh, reflection. Yes, because we got so many comments about the very brand new episode. Very first time ever, Alexis asks you out. Very awkward one. Yeah, last week. But thank you guys so much. Your comments are so nice. I was reading all of them and I was like, oh, I just wasn't expecting it. You guys are so sweet. You found nice comments? Yes. Zaney said, Alexis, you're a freaking amazing. I would 100% let you ask my next date out. Whoa, that's what you took from that. Okay. Wayney said, finally, my girl Alexis has her time to shine.
Starting point is 00:03:44 Not going to lie, this might be my favorite part of the show from now on. Love from Poland. Wow. You want more. Oh, no. And then Libby said I really needed a good laugh today and Alexis did that for me. The beginning was cringe. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:56 But you recovered it pretty well. Really? I'm glad you think that. Didn't you see one about how fast you talked? Yes, Chantel said, I normally listen to your show on 1.5 speed. because you talk too slow, but Alexis's new segment is the first time I could slow it down to one time's normal speed.
Starting point is 00:04:13 So we're on the same wavelength. That's really funny. So thank you so much for all the... It got over 40 comments on the... No, you guys are so nice. Thank you. Even though I know you were, you know, it was the awkwardness most of you know you like.
Starting point is 00:04:24 I'm still recovering, but your comments help. All right, we're going to get to a brand new second date update right now. Brooke and Jeffrey in the morning. Second date update. A popular influencer on Instagram recently got millions of... of views for a 10 second
Starting point is 00:04:39 clip where she said she has a theory that the more attractive you get, the less likely you are to get a boyfriend or a girlfriend. And if you're a 9 or a 10, you're basically cooked and are never going to be able to lock anyone down.
Starting point is 00:04:55 You know, I can actually see this. My best friend was stunning. You don't have to talk about me like I'm not in the room. And people were intimidated by her and they thought she was mean. But she wasn't. She was just shy and hot. Like, it's not a, you know, it's a hard combination to live with. But also, she's rare, because a lot of them are mean. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:14 So, they've earned that right because they're so hot. And I wonder if our listener, Tammy, who's on the phone right now, would agree with that since she's actually the one who sent me that clip. Oh. So Tammy, you believe that, huh? Hey, guys, yeah, I sent that to you because I agree with it, and I feel like it applies to me right now. Oh, okay. So you're the, you're the hot girl. having a hard time in the dating world? Yeah, like, I've been told that I'm a nine or a ten, but if I am that attractive and you're that attractive, then chances are you also already have, like,
Starting point is 00:05:50 a very small group of people who are in your league at all. So the chances of them, like, you have no chance. You have no chance. If you're really hot, there's not very many other hot people to date and you don't want to date down. Is that what I'm hearing? Yeah, it's if you're looking for equal in numbers, right? Right.
Starting point is 00:06:06 And, like, I used to be nice. I used to be too nice. Okay. You didn't get what we just said. I was like, so we're mean. You're like they weren't right. Past tense for you. But all the terrible men out there obviously couldn't meet up to your nice standard.
Starting point is 00:06:19 So you had to get mean. Like after a while you teach the sixes and sevens. And oops. Uh-oh. Sorry. Six, seven. Oh, that's why she said oops. You teach them enough about themselves.
Starting point is 00:06:32 Like, I was being gratified by like helping out guys that weren't in my league. Like when I was younger. You know, and then it's like self-improvement. And when you feel like you're finally finding yourself on a new level, like, your world opens up. There are like levels of nines and tens. You find yourself in. You're like, I made it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:47 I am not fully following all of this. I'm going to be honest with you. I'm fully with you, by the way, Tammy. I'm like, our brains are connected. Can we get to your date that you're calling us about? I want to talk about this more. But, okay. I guess you've met a guy, though, that has matched your standards that you're holding for yourself.
Starting point is 00:07:06 What's his name? Yes, his name's Tucker. Okay. And I didn't even know I had this standard, honestly, because I have never seen his moves before. His moves? His moves. Like the moves he put on me were like, I mean, they were like 11 moves. Oh, you had a movie theater and he reached around and put his arm.
Starting point is 00:07:25 That's a fourth grade. Tell us about Tucker, how you guys met and what his moves were. Too hot. We met off the app. Too hot. Okay. Yeah. And first we got drinks.
Starting point is 00:07:36 It was good drinks. And then we watched the sunset, and then after that we saw a band that his friends were in. But, like, it was the sunset moves. What were the sunset moves? What do you do? So here's what he does. He has, like, a little backpack. He pulls out two notebooks.
Starting point is 00:07:52 And he gave me a notebook, and he was like, let's journal. Whoa. That's deep. Why did I want him to pull out champagne for you? A picnic basket? Are you not impressed with that? I don't know. I'm all for journaling on your free time.
Starting point is 00:08:06 Not on a date. Okay. Tammy, you liked the journal move. Okay, it seemed corny, but like, first of all, there weren't a lot of other people around. Okay. So I was, like, a little more kind of natural. And then, like, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:08:18 It just turned out nice. Okay. Like, you know, we weren't even talking. Yeah. It's a man with layers. Yeah. I'm a man. I don't understand, like, if this was all great,
Starting point is 00:08:26 like, the drinks were great, the attractive level was great. You guys connected on a deeper. Like, why wouldn't he be calling you back? Yeah, I know. Well, then we went to see the band. So that kind of like changed it up. Like we didn't really get to live in that moment. Like, yeah, we could have gone back to his place.
Starting point is 00:08:42 You know what I'm saying? Oh. Yeah. Oh. If he asked you, you would have said yes? Yeah. I mean, if we could have drilled at his house too. Like, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:08:51 It's like a good buffer. Totally. Yeah. It doesn't mean hook up. So you didn't enjoy the band experience to end the night. Well, he knew them, but I didn't. So I kind of just, like, and I had just had a really intense experience with him. And then it's like, back to reality.
Starting point is 00:09:04 Like, we weren't able to connect on that. that level that we had reached. So, like, we were there for maybe 45 minutes. Okay. And then he just walked me to my car, but he gave me a kiss. Okay. Oh, good. It was a nice kiss.
Starting point is 00:09:16 Yeah. I mean, it was, like, it didn't say much, but it wasn't, like, an experience. It wasn't, like, it was warm. Like, the lips are where the magic happens, you know. Okay. That's a line for your journal, for sure. Okay. So what's happened since that night?
Starting point is 00:09:33 He isn't getting back to me. Like, I only know. who we is through the app. And that's infuriating, too. It was like, we aren't connected on social. So I don't know if he just, like, isn't using the app anymore. Like, I'm telling you, he's Prince Charming. Can wait, you're saying that you can't find him online anywhere.
Starting point is 00:09:49 Is that what you're saying? Yeah, well, I can't find him online, so I can't stalk him and see if someone was in his life. And, like, yeah, like, he gave me his phone number. But I don't know. I think he, I don't think he forgot about me. But, like, I mean, he's winning at life. So, like, maybe. No, he's not winning.
Starting point is 00:10:02 He's not winning at life because he doesn't have you in it right now. Right, right. I'm going to write that in my journal. Yeah, I'm going to write that down. That's all journal. Yes, it's a great move. That was just proud of myself. Anyway, I'm disappointed in Tucker, because you shouldn't be the one that's seeking him out.
Starting point is 00:10:22 He should be seeking you out as the nine and ten to like fulfill his part of his life. Okay, I'm going to scratch that one out of the journal. That one's not good. That wasn't his romantic. No, it didn't hit. Okay, but we're going to make sure that it hits right. when we come back, we'll call Tucker and ask him why he's not calling back the most gorgeous girl he's ever matched with on the dating ass. Hey, we don't know that.
Starting point is 00:10:43 She has to be. She's got to be. Just the way that she's talking. Anyway, we'll come back and do it right after this. Hold on. Brooke and Jeffrey in the morning. Second date update. Why does God punish all the extremely attractive women of this world?
Starting point is 00:10:57 Okay, someone's just tuning in confused. I don't know, Jeff. I know all the fours and fives are listening to this right now. thinking, I feel so bad for the nines and tens. They have it so hard. I mean, this is really the definition of empathy. Yes. I never thought pretty privilege could be this dark.
Starting point is 00:11:19 Is there a go-fund me for these poor women? What can I do to help? If you're thinking that, here's what you can do. No one's thinking that. Text in to 785.92 and cheer on our listener, Tammy. That's right. A self-described hottie with all of the looks and personality. to offer, but no man on earth who can handle her.
Starting point is 00:11:38 God, I feel like you should start a nonprofit where we adopt one. We really sure. We know worst case she's a nine. The only guy who maybe can come close is Tucker. A good-looking dude who took her to an area to watch the sunset and busted out some journals so they could write down their feelings together. And I thought that was pretty cool because you were really concentrated on people's looks for a minute there, but then the activity that you liked was really deep and thought.
Starting point is 00:12:04 So good for you. Oh, I can't take responsibility for the journal idea, you know, but I did say yes to it. Well, I know, but it's a thing that you liked. I mean, I will use it. If he doesn't, if he really doesn't like me, then I will use it with someone else. Okay. That's the worst case scenario, assuming Tucker would say no, I don't know why he would to another chance to go out with you.
Starting point is 00:12:26 Well, a gorgeous woman you shared the sunset with, they journaled like it sounds like on his end, it was a great night. You guys are making me want to call him. Can you just call him? Yeah. God, I wish we could FaceTime, though, because I really want to see this guy. Timmy's right. She's suffered long enough.
Starting point is 00:12:40 Let's get this over with and hopefully get Tucker on the phone. Here we go. Hey, is this Tucker? Yeah, who is this? Hey, man, this is a radio show. We're called Brooke and Jeffrey in the morning. Yeah. What's up?
Starting point is 00:12:59 Good morning. Hey, Tucker. That was just mid-workout. Is this important? What is this about? Oh. Sorry. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:06 Yeah. I'm sorry. I don't mean to, like, get in the way of your... So he's hot and sweaty right now, Jeff. Yeah. Yeah, early morning workout. Thanks for putting that image in my head. Oh, no, Jeff, get concentrating.
Starting point is 00:13:16 Listen, Tucker, we'll try not to waste too much of your time because I know you've got important body sculpting to do. But this is called a second date update, and we're trying to help out one of our listeners that you went out with recently. A lovely woman named Tammy. Oh, okay. Okay. You remember her? Yeah. What is this about?
Starting point is 00:13:39 Why are you guys calling me about Tammy? Because Tammy's a little bit confused. She thought the two of you had a nice time together, but since then, you haven't been reaching out for another meetup. Yeah, well, to be honest, I was a little turned off. What? Really? I mean, can you tell us at what point you were turned off during the night?
Starting point is 00:14:01 Because we heard it, and it sounded pretty good start to finish. I'm not sure what she told you about what happened during our date. I mean, we can give you a quick recap. There was a sunset. There was journaling. There was a concert. With his buddies. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:15 And your friends were like in the band or something? Yeah. Yeah. So we were at the concert and, you know, we got drinks. And I went to go look at my journal and reflect, you know. And she was gone. She went to the bathroom. So at that point I went and looked in my journal.
Starting point is 00:14:30 Okay. And I guess they switched. So I pulled out hers instead. Okay. Oh, so you accidentally grabbed hers? Yeah. And I opened it up. And I just started reading.
Starting point is 00:14:42 Oh. Oh. Wouldn't you open it up and then be like, oh, that's not mine? I should close that. Like, isn't the whole point of journaling to share like unedited, uninterrupted thoughts that no one would ever hear? Well, maybe he didn't realize those weren't his thoughts until he was three paragraphs in. He was like, damn, I'm poetic, bro. My name's Tucker.
Starting point is 00:15:04 It just feels like such a breach of privacy, man. Well, what about reading it was a turnoff? Well, after I got a couple sentences in, I kind of realized it was just all over the place. And it was all just about attractiveness, nine, tens. It was kind of shallow. She was... Wait a minute. Wait, she was writing that stuff down?
Starting point is 00:15:24 Yeah, she was writing all that kind of stuff down. And there was nothing about, like, the ocean or the sunset or, like, peace, which is what of my journaling is all about. I know, but, like, I mean, give her a break. You just sprung it on Earth. She also didn't think anybody would ever see it. Yeah, so I'm trying to figure out what about her not doing that? Like, why is that a red flag or why was that a turnoff to you?
Starting point is 00:15:47 Well, because she was sort of writing about how he's a nine, I'm a nine, and we should just end the concert and then just ask him to come to his place. Oh. She's literally thinking her thoughts. She was writing out exactly what she told us. Yeah, yeah, true. She was like dream boarding. Yeah, so I think I just think I need someone deeper or on my level.
Starting point is 00:16:07 in terms of how they act, and it just seemed pretty shallow at the end of the day. Yeah, okay. I'm going to say, to be fair, to be fair, she loved that exercise, and that was the thing that attracted her to you the most. Yeah, true. Like, I feel like that speaks to what her priorities are.
Starting point is 00:16:28 Hey, hey, Brooke, don't speak for her. Tammy can speak for herself because Tucker, you should know she's actually on the other line listening to this call waiting to talk to you. Not going to be happy. I mean, it's kind of like reading your journal, but just out loud. Is she still there? Tammy, are you there?
Starting point is 00:16:44 Yeah, I'm just kind of stunned at what a creep you are, apparently. Oh, no. I'm assuming that's about Tucker and not us. Yeah, I mean, who micromanages someone's journal entries? Someone with personality, I would say. Oh, a stalker. Maybe a stalker does. Stalker.
Starting point is 00:17:07 Okay, this is devolving quickly. Yeah, he said it was an accident. He didn't mean to pick up your journal. He just... Oh, and he didn't mean to read, sentence after sentence. He definitely... He was going. The brain wasn't braining.
Starting point is 00:17:21 You know what happens. You know, you could have read my journal. It's much deeper. You would have loved it. Well, wait. Were you talking about her at all? I mean, now's the chance for you to share the entry that you wrote. Do you have it near you?
Starting point is 00:17:34 I do. I do. I don't know if we want to go down this path, honestly. He's like, she's a nine, I'm a ten. Sunset, red, ocean blue. We're kidding, bro. It sounds like Tucker feels like, Tammy, you came off as being really shallow and only interested in his looks. Surface level.
Starting point is 00:17:54 Is that fair? First of all, I don't think you can judge much about me from like 10 minutes of just writing whatever. That's like so shallow. And then you kept both. Like, what? You have a big stack of women's journals back at your slop house. Wait, he took your journal? Yeah, he just put him in his backpack.
Starting point is 00:18:12 I thought, you know, that's again, this is why I thought that, like, we were going to have a little, like, I don't, you know. You know, once I read that journal, I realized I shouldn't have waste any more paper on you. Oh. It wasn't even a new journal. It already had pages ripped out of the front. Oh, I've done this to other women. You have them write down their thoughts and then you judge them on it. Take the journal back.
Starting point is 00:18:36 Wait a minute. Now you're sounding kind of shallow. Yeah, Tucker, how dare you have standards for the type of women that you want to date? You can't stand. Apparently, you think I'm a nine, so I don't see the issue. That's all you were writing about anyway. Well, I think we're nines. We're nines, you know?
Starting point is 00:18:52 I mean, I'm willing to look past them, honestly. What? Oh, what? Wait. Even though he betrayed you and read all of your personal thoughts. And just said all those terrible things. Well, okay, but like, you know, I'm sorry, Tucker Earmuffs, because you know about bros, like, they need some help.
Starting point is 00:19:11 Yeah, I mean, I can hear his six-back through the phone right now. You don't. He's literally at the gym, right? You said he were literally pumping iron right now. That's the bro. You do not want a project, no matter how hot it is. Speak for yourself. Gee.
Starting point is 00:19:25 You're going to have a project either way. Might as well be a hot one. Hey, you know, that's a good point, Alexis. Oh, God. You know that 25-year-old Brooke would be all over Tucker right now. Oh, I dated hot and dumb. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:37 So let Tammy do the same. All right. You know, I'm a little offended here that you guys are making fun of me and calling me dumb. No. I bought two journals. Oh. Well, that's fair. Brooke, do you want to apologize?
Starting point is 00:19:51 Not one, but two. You know what? You're right. Yeah, Brooke, fall on that sword. That is a sign of intelligence. So now that we're finally all on the same page and the other ones have been ripped out, let's just ask. Nice, Jeff.
Starting point is 00:20:05 Tucker, would you be willing to give Tammy a second chance here and go out on another date with her? Come on, let's get some food. We didn't even get a good meal before the last date. Bro, you must be so hot, Tucker. She is all about it, man. You know, I'm going to have to pass. But with that money that you would have paid for the date, I think you should buy Tammy a notebook. And she can do some journaling.
Starting point is 00:20:28 Hopefully it's a little bit better. Yeah, Tucker, we're not as deep as you, bro. There's no way we'd be able to pull it off. I feel like the only thing he knows about his journals. You guys should try it. It does a lot for the soul. Okay. What do you mean?
Starting point is 00:20:41 Try writing or try reading somebody else's? Little this, little that. All right. Well, hey, Tucker, we appreciate you being on with us. You can go back to working out and making that body perfect. And Tammy, you dodged a hot bullet. You really did. I wanted that hot bullet so bad.
Starting point is 00:20:58 Oh. Oh, my God. All right. Hang up. It's getting hot here. I've got the next line for my journal. Brooke and Jeffrey in the morning. Getting ready for a game means being ready for anything.
Starting point is 00:21:15 Like packing a spare stick. I like to be prepared. That's why I remember, 988 Canada's suicide crisis helpline. It's good to know just in case. Anyone can call or text for free confidential support from a train responder any time. 988 suicide crisis helpline is funded by the government in Canada. Why hasn't a woman formally participated in a Formula One race weekend? in over a decade.
Starting point is 00:21:41 Think about how many skills they have to develop at such a young age. What can we learn from all of the new F1 romance novels suddenly popping up every year? He still smelled of podium champagne
Starting point is 00:21:53 and expensive friction. And how did a 2023 event called Wagageddon change the paddock forever? That day is just seared into my memory. I'm culture writer and F1 expert Lily Herman,

Starting point is 00:22:45 first. You know. Or you want what you can't have, Jeff. I believed her at first when it was hard for her to date. But then after hearing this, I'm like, girl, it's because of what, you're picking. Yeah. They're both kind of perfect. You just did this to yourself. Yeah. And she didn't mind it. She had no shame saying
Starting point is 00:23:01 she did not want to dodge that hot bullet. At least it was all on the table for her. Yeah. That's true. Just didn't work out this time. I hope we hear back from both of them in an update update. Really? You want that? I do. Didn't he say no?
Starting point is 00:23:14 I think it'll turn around. Oh. He'll reread her journal and see like actually we are meant for each other. Maybe the next girl's journal he reads, because it felt like a trick almost. Maybe he'll call about her. I'm holding on to hope. Maybe that's stupid of me. But if you've missed any second dates in the last few months, go ahead and find us on Apple and Spotify,
