Starting point is 00:00:00 Highlights are brown bag What's up? This is Be Real from Cypress Hill Where are you from, Esse? Don't you know I'm local? No, I'm local. So, if I haven't told you 500 times already, I was over in New York this past weekend.
Starting point is 00:00:14 No way? What? The Big Apple? Yeah, volet and me cayed. I golly. And I got to go there. Paya. And I lost my payroll.
Starting point is 00:00:23 But while I was there, I did a lot of tourist stuff. Okay. I went to go see the Statue of Liberty. And, like, we were doing, like, super. touristy things. Yeah. And my homies in New York are like, bro, we don't even do that. But I was like, maybe we should.
Starting point is 00:00:36 And that's exactly how I feel about L.A. too. We are in the backyard of an incredible place that people from all over the world wait their whole lives to come and see. And we're just like, oh, we're not going to go to Hollywood and Highland. We're not going to go to the freaking Hollywood sign. Why? Why? I'll tell you why.
Starting point is 00:00:53 Why? It's a mess down there. Oh, yeah. No, no, no. But they're saying like, why go? Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. See some stars? But it had me thinking of all the people that were here for the World Cup.
Starting point is 00:01:06 Yeah. And there's actually a tour that makes me want to be like, I want to be a tourist in my own city, okay? There's a New Zealand couple and a video that they posted taking an L.A. Hood tour. And I was like, bro, why have we never thought of this? Going on a Hood Life tour today. Holston, Creeshaw, the projects. I don't want to see Celebrity homes. I want to see The Hood.
Starting point is 00:01:27 Oh. I love it. I love it. I don't want to see celebrity homes. I want to see The Hood. The hood. And the places that they went to were pretty gnarly. Their driver took them to a place in the training day movie.
Starting point is 00:01:42 Check this out. Y'all remember a movie called Training Days by Israel Washington? I remember his baby mama. In the project, I'm going to take y'all. Every time he came over here, over his baby mama house. Before he turned and went down this street by he. They're so like, whoa, bro, they're in the jungle! Literally.
Starting point is 00:02:04 That'd be funny, dude. Crazy. Baldwin Village, also known as the jungles. I looked at the website for the hitters. It's not too bad. I think we can do it. Because watching them go through it and be, like, happy and about it, and I was like, okay, maybe we should try stuff like that.
Starting point is 00:02:21 Yeah, maybe it's safe. Now, check this out for just $75. You get a three and a half hood life hip-hop tour, okay? And it runs through South Central. Compton, Wads, Baldwin Hills, Crenshaw, the Marathon Store, the Wattes Towers, excuse me, the Friday House, where you can even step outside of it and take a photo on like one of the lowrider bikes outside of the Friday house. And check this out, you're going to do it all in a discreet, blacked out bulletproof van or SUV. That's what it says.
Starting point is 00:02:47 That sounds more dangerous somehow. For 75 bucks? I don't even cover the gas to go all those places. But, hey, that's a deal. It's cheap. Is it per person? I'm assuming you. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:57 When you have multiple people. 17 people in the truck? Yeah. Okay. And that stuff. It's a Niro. Heck no. I want to see what that waiver says.
Starting point is 00:03:05 Like, we are not responsible for you getting shot by the books or the Crips or the SAs or anybody. Or if anyone makes you go out and do push-ups Justin Bieber. Just do them. Yeah. I don't know. I'm just saying it's right in our backyard. That's pretty crazy. People from the World Cup are coming in.
Starting point is 00:03:21 You're right. Show them East LA Boyle Heights. That's a good idea. Oh, that's our family over in East Delah and Boyle Heights. They're going through it right now. For them, dude. It stinks over there. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:31 Not even saying that in a mean way. Like, I feel really bad. It's bad. Take them right there to the train tracks and everything too. No, no. We're not going to go there. We're going to let the community there. That sucks.
Starting point is 00:03:40 The reality of it. Oh. Okay. That sucks. Do it come here? Now what's going on? Damn! Cheese Mason with Angie.
Starting point is 00:03:50 Okay. How many of us saw the documentary that 50 Cent did about Diddy's Reckoning? I did. I did. I did. I did. Right? Okay.
Starting point is 00:03:59 Did you watch it? Yes, of course. I was hooked, Latte. What made you hooked? The whole thing. What did you like? Just like Did he, Cochino, Nasty, and that supports him, like, ugh. No, but just like knowing how the, like, the back end, like, of, well, I shouldn't even say back.
Starting point is 00:04:14 Oh. I caught myself. No, but apparently that dokey series, you guys, it's up for three Emmy nominations. Shee. Yeah, not that one. Not that one. I know. I mean, Rudy for, no, but honestly, like, 50 said actually reacted to it.
Starting point is 00:04:33 And he posted saying, everybody had something to say when I announced it. Now the Emmys got something to say, too. Three Emmy nominations for the Sean Combs, the reckoning. Well, 50, those should be Diddy's awards. I know. I like this. Because it's his movie. He stars in it.
Starting point is 00:04:52 He's all over it. So maybe you should. And if it wasn't for Diddy, Big Dog, you wouldn't have a documentary. Oh, that's all, girls. No, like his brother is... I mean, right? I get you. He did put in all that work.
Starting point is 00:05:03 What do you mean? He did, of course. He shot it himself. 30 years of work. It was his footage that he used, dude. Yeah, that's mine. Big Dog, send me my trophy, for favor. This is the equivalent of not like us getting nominated for a Grammy.
Starting point is 00:05:17 You know what I'm saying? Like, it's like, it was like a diss like to ditty, but essentially it gets nominated and recognized because it was just so good. I mean, that'd be like... I mean, that'd be like Drake rapping. not like us and then winning it was right
Starting point is 00:05:32 yeah you know like it's not the same but it's fine it's like it's like 50 cent making a documentary about Didi
Starting point is 00:05:39 and then it's getting and then it's like that props to you for making that should should Diddy get some kind of recognition and you know the funny thing is if you were to win on like the televised
Starting point is 00:05:49 yeah he'll go up there and he'll thank Diddy oh for sure oh yeah like he'll be like yeah thank you for giving me all the content
Starting point is 00:05:55 to put up he shot it He paid? Well, I guess he didn't pay for it, right? That was a problem. Yikes. Well, to me, the part where this crazy is the less of the freak-off stuff is the Tupac stuff in the doc. Like his involvement.
Starting point is 00:06:10 That stuff is what was wrong to me. Yeah. Legitly. Reportedly. Reportedly. Yeah. All that. Hey, but congrats of 50.
Starting point is 00:06:21 He's getting those three. That bunny also got nominated on G. Oh, did he? The Super Bowl halftime show about it. Oh, yes. You're right. He did. What?
Starting point is 00:06:27 I know. Wow, Benito. After everybody was complaining. Not everybody in this room, like the, all those. All right. Guys. What is this? There's a new Instagram feature that's going to make you want to delete the app right now.
Starting point is 00:06:44 I feel like I'm in the Iron Man suit. Oh, like Jarvis. Jarvis, Jarvis, Jarvis. Instagram has rolled out a new future that everybody is going crazy. You heard it, right? No future. A new future? What?
Starting point is 00:07:00 Instagram's giving us our new future. The real me. Future. 22 new tracks. There is your future, but there's a few. Feature. There you go. Feature on Instagram.
Starting point is 00:07:17 And you know, everybody worries about AI and what they could do with their photos and what they can do with their videos, right? While there's a setting on Instagram that is allowing people to take your photos and videos and do whatever they want with them without you being notified about it. Meta's just rolling this out. And it's on your settings. You can either turn it on or off. Okay.
Starting point is 00:07:36 But once people use your post, It's not notifying you at all. Really? Yes. That's crazy. Yeah. So especially if you're public, like if I take Kahn's photo, I could just take it through it, throw it through meta, and he'll never know. Yeah, I guess it's allowing for anybody that posts on a public profile to give their photos off to the world.
Starting point is 00:07:55 And if I, they have like the new chat, GBT-esque feature of making photos. Like, hey, make concrete eating a bear from the back. It'll do it. It'll do it. I've ate plenty of birds in the back. They're just gummy bears. You start from the back. I start from the, oh yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:20 Oh, yeah, like the gram cookie, like the little bears. Remember back in school? I used to like, because they would give me like two. Remember that? I start with the arm, one arm and the other arm and then the other leg and the other leg. And then it was a body and then, you know, finish up with the head.
Starting point is 00:08:34 Ooh. Hey, yo. And these features are automatically set for you to allow it. So you have to go in your settings and opt out. Well, the whole thing is that like once, you know, people don't understand that once they make the profile on social media, everything you post becomes user generated content. So it could be pulled. It could be used. It could be done, whatever.
Starting point is 00:08:55 So that's kind of like, you know, signing your life away anyway. Yeah. And then then also put out a statement because everybody was going crazy about it. Like, what do you guys do with the photos? What are you guys doing with the videos? We built this feat. We built this feature with strong controls and safety guard rails from day one. Private accounts that are under 18 are automatically excluded.
Starting point is 00:09:12 And adults with public accounts can opt out with ease to controls. We'll take action against any content that violates our rules. Instagram, meta, we should have been able to opt in and automatically be opted out. Don't automatically opt us in and we have to opt out. This is a scary. You aren't even going to know where to do it. Exactly. It's like in your settings.
Starting point is 00:09:31 It's hitting a little bit. You're going to scroll. You're not even to see it. You're going to be like, what the hell is this? ignore it and not going to realize what it is till later. But for the record, Vic has left it opted in if anyone wants to make user-generated photos of him. It would be an honor. I just want to see what you guys will come up with.
Starting point is 00:09:45 He actually did say that. Make him Argentinian. Yeah. Put a white and blue jersey on me. Yeah. Have me dapping up messy. I like messy. Nice little salute.
Starting point is 00:10:01 No, not a salute. So be careful out there. The concrete doing a salute. Yeah. Yeah. Check your settings, bro. They're going to be allowing people to make chat chit-stall photos with your own photos. And it's like legal because you're posting unless you opt out. All right.
Starting point is 00:10:19 Check this out, homie. You need a homie or need some help. We need your help. We need a line. I mean, phone line. We got you for the homie help line. Low needs our help. Loa hit us up
Starting point is 00:10:34 and said What was that? Okay Are you good? Yeah, I'm fine I was trying to stop saying it like I used to see it Oh you're loading
Starting point is 00:10:40 You're loading Yeah Okay So low hit us up and said You know That she found love Love needs our help Her mom just died
Starting point is 00:10:48 That's big Oh man Okay so Lowe Okay so We had a meeting About it in Los Angeles He can't say that anymore So if you hear him say
Starting point is 00:10:56 Pop-Bau Yes Low hit us up Because she found love Through our homie help line Okay She called commented on a homie help line post.
Starting point is 00:11:05 The guy saw it commented. Please make the correction now. Yes. Okay. So, so it wasn't the guy from the story. It was another guy who also commented. He saw her profile. A little manioso that was stalking our homie help line comments.
Starting point is 00:11:20 On Instagram we put it up every day. We put up the story of the day. And then it's a whole community in its own of like suggestors and advice and all of that. Don't do it, girl. And like, hey, you suck. All of that's in there. And I guess he went fishing in the comments and saw her a random user, not the guy from the homie help line. We do not want to ruin his life.
Starting point is 00:11:39 No, no, no. By saying it was him. No, no, no. Pardon, pardon. He's waking up right now like, what's going on? What happened? What happened? Yeah, so they DM, they were talking for over, sorry, together for over a year.
Starting point is 00:11:51 He's 12 years younger than her. And, you know, they were pretty serious. But last Friday, he hit her up and was like, hey, you know what? There's something going on on my daughter. and I got to go to Topgolf with the boys. And the casino after that. Wow. It's an emergency.
Starting point is 00:12:08 It's his therapy. Exactly. So after that, they didn't talk till the next morning. She was upset. She broke up with them. And then he said, wow, how could you break up with me in the hardest time of my life? I can't believe you. I don't know if I want to work this out ever again.
Starting point is 00:12:23 And so now she feels like she overreacted and ended things at the worst possible time. And, you know, she feels bad about it. And now she wants to know, should she just accept that she wasn't a priority and finally move on? Or did she do something wrong? Yes. And she probably, she had been previously married. So she's probably been through this before. Hey, I felt the same way in my marriage.
Starting point is 00:12:44 I'm getting the red flags again. She didn't have married for 16 years. Damn. So it may have took her a lot of that chunk of time to actually leave. We do not want that for her again. No, we don't. She's definitely in that little space, the anxiety of like, ooh, they mess up. He really know how to get him back, my young hot thing.
Starting point is 00:13:03 What have I done? Yeah. My 20-year-old bumpy. She's 28. She's 39. 39. He's 27. My stabbing a king.
Starting point is 00:13:13 Yeah. A little puppy. Let's go to Vanessa in Pasadena. What's that, Vanessa? Oh. Oh, Vanessa, don't say how to be like that. Vanessa, what would you tell a baby girl low? Okay, so honestly
Starting point is 00:13:32 Okay, 26 year marriage Three babies, I'm a grandma Messed with a 47 year old He didn't do me ride for two years Now I'm fucking with a 20 year old Hold on, say that without cursing Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait Wait, wait, wait
Starting point is 00:13:45 Slow down, grab the wall All right, talk to us, what happened? Hey, she, honestly, hey, she moved too quick And when you're messing with somebody that's younger than you and you got more miles, you can't, like, you can't be too, like You can't act like the young girls You can't be on
Starting point is 00:14:02 Exactly They ain't even there yet Like he barely getting there And you know what he said was right Like you're going to leave me at the hardest time of my life Like she should have took a step back How to drink a coffee maybe took a shot And then thought about it
Starting point is 00:14:17 She should have went to knit something Yeah Vanessa you said you're 43 You were married for a good amount of time You've clearly probably divorced you've also dated within your age range, but then also dated very young. And I'll tell you something right now.
Starting point is 00:14:35 The 47-year-old that I dated, he didn't have nothing going on. I was his mama. And the 20-year-old that I'm f***ing, I ain't even dating him. Girl, you need to stop cursing. You're not dating him? What are he doing?
Starting point is 00:14:49 No, home boy, like, you can have your life. You can fuck around. Oh, that's it. That's it. Girl. You're talking like a 20-year-old. I'm glad that he broke up with you. Wow.
Starting point is 00:14:58 She has a potty mouth. Yeah. She does. At this big age. Sometimes when I'm cursing, what is like letty were 38. I'm going to be cursed. What is he when I'm 60?
Starting point is 00:15:09 Damn. Damn. So. But this lady just lets me know that. I will. Yeah. All right. So she's basically saying you got to let,
Starting point is 00:15:18 when you're that much older, you got to let him do his thing. Because you can't compare to like the young girls and stuff like that. Or also you could probably, it'll be bad for your heart. You probably. You should get a drink a glass of wine, some red wine. You're going to get hot flash.
Starting point is 00:15:31 Good for your heart. Keep getting mad. Keep it cool. Stop. Oh, hell no. And this guy was what? Like, he was good before he was kind. Everything but saying, I love you.
Starting point is 00:15:42 Good for over a year. Yeah, I mean, you know, he probably just hasn't learned how to love. He found somebody else. No, I just think he sees it right on the wall. He's like, maybe this is enough for me. And then wants to move on and find a little something young. He found some of us. He's probably in our other homie help line comments.
Starting point is 00:16:00 He's trying to figure out. Bro, why you go fishing there? I know. He's sick for that. No, but I mean, I think, yeah, what Greg said, that's kind of what came to mind. Yeah. Because that's, like, that's us behavior. I've done it before.
Starting point is 00:16:13 Like, I liked a girl, like a couple months. And I was like, oh, something new. This is better. Yeah. I'm going with this instead and just ghost. Then all of a sudden you start blaming things on things. Like, it was similar. It's like, all right, there's something going on.
Starting point is 00:16:27 crazy in my life. No matter what, if it was going on or not, you could still be with that person. Yeah. But that's like kind of you're out.
Starting point is 00:16:33 You don't want to. Yeah, you know what? Yeah, I told you, that's why guys are always a problem. Ladies,
Starting point is 00:16:37 did you hear them? They both just gave examples. Oh yeah, I like it for a minute and this one. Yeah. My dog is having surgery right now and that's how you're going to speak to me?
Starting point is 00:16:45 It's over. It's over. It's over. You know what? I'm freaking out of here. Yeah. It's over. You play the victim?
Starting point is 00:16:54 Can't believe you. Fighting demons. Because VH1 Honey Caramel responded to my DM. So now I need to free up for her. For her. So you got to go. Yeah. I wouldn't blame it on that.
Starting point is 00:17:07 He's wild for blaming it on the daughter, though. And then he goes to Topco off to the casino. You know how far apart those are? So far. If he's going to the one in El Segundo, then you got to go to the Crystal Casino. All right. Lo, question for you, baby girl, because you're going through it. We're counting about it, but you're actually going through it.
Starting point is 00:17:25 Like she's like, no. It's okay. You guys make me laugh anyway. So that's honestly, but I've been giving me. That's what matters. In the morning when I listen to you guys. It's what helps me so I don't think about it for a little bit. Aw.
Starting point is 00:17:36 Well, how about we call him? Are you down to, like, let us? You can. I mean, I know he's probably listening because, I mean, we're brown bag listener, so. Yeah, you can try. Call him. You guys are going to fight over Brownback and the divorce. Which one of you guys say?
Starting point is 00:17:51 Let's call him. Let's call him. I'm down. Come on. His name's Tony. Tony. Tony. Tony.
Starting point is 00:18:00 All right. All right. Let's try to get Tony on the line. We got, we're going to do it. Let's do it. He don't want nothing to do with her. And apparently he also. Ting our call.
Starting point is 00:18:14 I called him like six times. Umberto said that he called him the full answered. And he's like, hey, this is Umberto from Brownback. Mind you, he's a listener. So he knows. Oh, he knows it. Yeah. So basically, girl, we're on your side.
Starting point is 00:18:27 It seems like he doesn't want to get caught. He doesn't want you to eat. He found somebody else. That's why I'm going with. He found somebody else. I think so, too. He's done with the old thing. And he doesn't know how to tell you because he doesn't want you to go into cardiac arrest.
Starting point is 00:18:39 I know. Yeah. Because she told you this is exactly what her ex-husband, Arnulfo, did to her. And now this is how, like, you're doing her the same way. Yeah. Just a younger version. Exactly. He wants the new car.
Starting point is 00:18:52 That's what he wants. Sorry for that. Sorry. What's up? This is Be Real from Cyprus Hill. Where are you from, Esse? Don't you know I'm local? Bill in the blank, my friends.
Starting point is 00:19:03 Los Angeles is the blank capital of the United States. Corn? The corn capital? The hell? Oh, you don't mean corn. You said Los Angeles. Oh, you're so dumb. Yes, Los Angeles is the blank capital of the world.
Starting point is 00:19:20 Oh, hold on. Angie V, NGV, who's going to be in the mix, has an answer. Houdrat. The hood rat? No. Well, I don't know. That may not be official. And we may have other.
Starting point is 00:19:31 cities that are down for that. No. Anybody, anybody? Celebrities. Celebrity capital. Movie capital. All right, anybody else? High rent.
Starting point is 00:19:40 Is the high rent capital of the United States? No. Los Angeles is the mosquito capital. We're not even like trouble. Bro, we're not swampy. We're not freaking Florida. No. No, according to Orkin, you know, the fools that be killing all of them.
Starting point is 00:19:58 Oh, yeah, yeah. Los Angeles, it's officially been ranked the number one worst city in the U.S. For those mosquitoes! Damn! So much so that we are currently under, like, a government experiment. I hope that you guys are very aware. This is happening in the San Gabriel Valley. There's a lot of new mosquitoes,
Starting point is 00:20:15 especially because of the fires that happened over in Al-Tadena. A lot of those houses had pools that got unattended after the fires because the people had to leave. Those pools are prime ground for them to be having their eggs and their babies and it's gross and it's disgusting. But it's also home for this. this new experiment where they are releasing mosquitoes that have been genetically modified. Check this out.
Starting point is 00:20:39 Well, they're actually releasing here in the San Gabriel Valley 30,000 mosquitoes a week for 16 weeks. But there's a catch. These are male mosquitoes. They can't bite you. And they've been sterilized by bacteria. When they match, their eggs won't hatch. So because they're not compatible, those eggs will not grow up to be additional mosquitoes.
Starting point is 00:20:59 So over time, we'll see reduction in mosquito populations. That's so crazy, real. Shooting blanks. They brought out, like, the, I don't know, the radioactive mosquitoes. I know. The fools don't bite. It's only the girls. The fools don't even have the things to bite.
Starting point is 00:21:12 Like, they only get nectar from fruit. That's what they live off of. And those mosquitoes have caught on to the, to those, like, blue lights. They don't even go. Oh, they don't even go. The zapper lights? They're like, nah, they don't do. They're like, no, chale, chale, chale, chale, don't go over their perro.
Starting point is 00:21:25 Truchas. I heard. I heard stories full. Hey, ta'amotara. So, essentially, they're letting the male ones that, have been genetically modified and pregnant the girl ones. And then the girl ones have the eggs, but there's nothing in the eggs.
Starting point is 00:21:39 Shooting blanks. She has no babies. That's scary that they can do that. It is scary. I don't like it. I just see like a bunch of mosquitoes being dipped in bacteria and like they come out like. There's some foods out here. They need to get genital. Modified as well. To tissue blanks? For a favor.
Starting point is 00:21:54 You're one of them. We do you have less morons on the freeway. Let's you do that to humans. I don't like that. You think like that. Dip some in some bacteria. That's bad. Little do we know the mosquitoes are an experiment for us. My goodness. All right.
Starting point is 00:22:07 Well, that's what's going down. And I guess if you see the little fools, the little radioactive fools, don't kill them. They're trying to do a better job for us. How are we supposed to know which one's male, which one's female, dog? I love that you ask that. The girls are smaller. They're the little ones. The small ones?
Starting point is 00:22:22 How are we supposed to know which ones are smaller? No, because they look very different. The ones that look like a mosquito that you should be scared of, those are the fools. They don't bite. The ones you should be scared of, they're small. Those are the girls. be afraid of them. Or flip them over like a dog.
Starting point is 00:22:35 And check their didn't tell you. You're insane. Victor. That's too far? Your own. Run, girl. Flash me. Prove yourself.
Starting point is 00:22:43 A bit. A bit. Highlights of brown bag. Highlights of brown bag.
