Episode Date: July 14, 2026

The squad attempts to mediate a messy Homie Helpline where a listener’s new man "demands" she quit her hard-earned career to be a stay-at-home wife because he claims her industry is full of "slimy g...uys". Between the relationship drama, the crew roasts Bad Bunny for getting sued for $40 million over a voice tag and investigates FIFA’s audacity in selling jars of World Cup final grass for $3,000. Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey, don't make your life harder than it needs to be. You really want to type Bratback mornings every single time? Nah, just hit the subscribe button, Perrito. Do it. Go! What's up? This is Be Real from Cypress Hill. Where are you from, Esse? Don't you know I'm local? Right.
Starting point is 00:00:16 Has anyone ever smelled a dead body? Sadly, yes. What happened? My dad was house hunting at the time, and he lived next. It was the house that he was about to buy was buying more charity. So it just smelled like all the time like dead body Oh like a human dead body Yeah
Starting point is 00:00:35 Like a decomposing one Yeah that's what I definitely mean I mean a human dead body Yeah so it's just a terrible smell It was just haunting If you could describe the smell It was very like dry But like kind of like How do I explain it?
Starting point is 00:00:50 Just like oddly satisfying I kind of liked it It's a smell that you'll never forget Like every time you smell it's just like Oh it gives you the chill It kind of just makes you nasty. Every time. I've never smelled the dead body, but I heard that as humans, like, primitively, we know, even if you never smelt it, when you do smell it, you know what it is.
Starting point is 00:01:15 Yeah. You know exactly what it is. Like, our bodies are designed to know what that smell means. Like cool water. It's disgusting. The smell. No, like, anytime I smell cool, I'm like, that's cool water. That's cool water.
Starting point is 00:01:24 No, but you learn that. When you smell a pelo, you're like, that's a pello right there. Who did that? When you smell a dead body. You never questioned like, what is that? No, that's a peril dog. But you had to learn what that was. Right?
Starting point is 00:01:37 You farted? No, you got it at all. No, you farted and you knew that that was a pedo. Even when you even know when it's not yours, you're like, that ain't mine. That ain't mine. It's somebody else to shoot you. So yeah, for sure. It's like a pedo.
Starting point is 00:01:50 All right. But if you're wanting to smell it, never have smelled it before. Go over to the Huntington Library in San Reno because they have what's called a corpse. flower and it's two big flowers that their stenches reportedly allegedly just like a decomposing body. Oh. Yeah, that's terrible. They get people flocking there every year.
Starting point is 00:02:11 That's gross. To go look at this flower. And it's only for a few days. And then the stench goes away. And then it closes. It closes back up. It looks like a scary movie should be named after it. You know that one plant scary movie from back of the day?
Starting point is 00:02:24 It was like a flight trap, a Venus flytrap. Yeah. Like Little Shop of Horrors or something. Like that? Yeah. It looks like a movie should be made after that freaking flower. And everybody goes, huh? Everybody goes.
Starting point is 00:02:35 Everybody goes. Everybody goes. I look you want to go. Like, just to see what that smell is like. That smell is, I'm telling you, it's one of those smells that you'll never forget. It just gives you the chills. Your hair will stand up. Like, it's just like you don't want to smell that.
Starting point is 00:02:46 It's bad. Well, if you want to. Plenty of people do. They freaking fly out to smell this flower. That's disgusting. All right. It's available now at the Huntington Library. You have to let you in and they don't give you weird stairs.
Starting point is 00:02:57 I don't know. It's one of those areas. Anyway. Do it come here? Now what's going on? She's Mation with Angie. Okay, you guys, singer Eric Bellinger. Don't confuse him with the baseball player.
Starting point is 00:03:11 What's the baseball player's name? Eric Bellinger. Nope. Cotee Bellinger. Oh, Angie. You just did it. Literally. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:17 I don't know if the sports. But anyways, Eric Bellinger, dude, he's trying to start some ish with the weekend. Because he actually win to a podcast with Cam Newton. And Cam Newton asked them like, hey, fool, like, do you think the weekend can sing? And listen, what he said. Can the weekend sing? I think he can sing. No, no, no, no, no, no.
Starting point is 00:03:38 I think he can sing. It's yes or no. And then he can't sing if you like the Billy Go vibe. I'm not going to do it. He can't sing like the boy is a hitmaker and it ain't no doubt about it. Such a little hair. Really? He said he can sing.
Starting point is 00:03:54 Yeah, but he's pretty much dissing him. He can knock out. the fact that he makes hits, right? Like the billy goat sound? He called him a billy goat. The billy goat. But that's why he's like, he goes like the, uh-uh, uh-uh.
Starting point is 00:04:10 You know, when people sing and do the little high notes? Like falsetto? I've never thought that weekend can't sing. Ever. I've always known he can't sing. Yeah, since the beginning. When he had like the morning, house of balloon.
Starting point is 00:04:30 Even like crude. Love. Yeah. Taking nose of my keyboard. Yeah. What you're bothering me for. Mm-hmm. Or even now with the can't feel my face with, mm-hmm.
Starting point is 00:04:41 I can feel my face when I'm with you. Hey, hey. But I love it. I love it. 10. 10 years. You know it. Just like 10. No, it's not.
Starting point is 00:04:55 I feel what he's saying. I think I know what he's trying to say. No, I don't think, you know. Well, which song would it be? He can't sing. I'm just saying, like, I think what he's expecting is, like, you know, Joe to see. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 00:05:08 You know what I'm saying? That kind of singing, you know? And the woman doesn't do that. Yeah, but that's not his style of singing. Does he do that? Yeah. And he doesn't. No.
Starting point is 00:05:21 The valet. The valet. He doesn't. Not the same way that Prokutti. I guess we know, like, who the Whitney's are. Yes. Who, like, people will. pipes like that.
Starting point is 00:05:33 The 90s, 2000s, yeah. I don't think, I think we can see. Me too. That's why when he said, like,
Starting point is 00:05:38 he's on tour right now. I think he's calling him like Ashanti vibes maybe like but we can's not. Singing and then there's singing. I think it's just a choice of the weekend.
Starting point is 00:05:48 Yeah. Whatever he would want to sing like. I think Cam Newton try to like get him caught. For sure. Because he's like, can he sing or not? He's like,
Starting point is 00:05:54 no answer yes or no. I did. I said he can sing. So you want me to give you something else. Yeah. That's what he did. The Billy Go. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:00 Yeah, he's on tour right now with Chris Brown and Usher, Eric Bellinger, no? I believe so. Who yeah? I think he might be. I think he might be. Yeah, that's the tongue about. He is, yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:09 So maybe it's like he's not singing like that. Yeah. But I don't know, Weekend is killing it. He is. He's good. He's good. Give it to hip pop. You know let these on.
Starting point is 00:06:19 There I go. Rep sheet. Let these set go. Being a killing it, Jay Cole is currently on his The Let Out Tour, the Fall Off Tour, excuse me. The Fall Off Tour. and it recently hit Phoenix, Arizona. And one thing that's cool is when he dropped his album, we were all looking at this song a little different,
Starting point is 00:06:35 like, hey, hold on. Is that us? Check this out. That sounds bellico, like, um. Yeah, that sounds like, Belico Fest. Pesopuma's about to come through. And that one was about to get in a fight. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:55 Kind of slows down, right? Mm-hmm. Yeah. So something cool he did in his Phoenix stop is he had a group outside recreating that song, And you could for sure tell the influence. Check this out. As people were letting out of the venue.
Starting point is 00:07:24 Oh, that's cool. I see what you did there, my friend. And it was super authentic because you could even hear, will you survive that? My dad. We're not getting this song. Mandala Chewie, he knows in English. It's because their name is Linea Secreta
Starting point is 00:07:43 underscore Phoenix on Instagram. What's trippy about me is that they're very new to Instagram. I'm wondering if they, I don't know, they just started it. They only have three posts. It says it's a new profile. I'm wondering if he just like asked around like, hey, anyone know anyone good out here? Or
Starting point is 00:07:59 if this band was created just for that? Maybe, yeah, brand new groupo. And then Jay Cole's second life in music is going to be a freaking cori-loid label. Jay Bellico. That's a metal. That's the sound of the police. The petty police.
Starting point is 00:08:14 It's pretty. It's just petty. I'm being petty. Petty, petty, girl. Pretty and a pettiest. Not the petty homie, man. Andy Ruiz, heavyweight boxer. He actually was the first Mexican heavyweight champion at one point, which is really big. He met the president at the time.
Starting point is 00:08:34 He lost the bell shortly after. But you know what? A win is a win. And the boxing world crazy upset against Joshua. It was insane, right? Classic. There's a whole documentary on that fight. You need to check that out.
Starting point is 00:08:46 But he has not fought since August 3rd, 2024. He's been on a down turn, you know? Life is going to take in a hold of him, different things. But he's back with a vengeance. In matter of fact, he's back with the diss song to all the other boxers out there. I love it. Had to be from Cali. Love it.
Starting point is 00:09:06 He is coming with the disc song. Check this out. It's about to get real. For all your name my ponies come to step into my field. I'm going savage. I'm gonna give a fucking how they feel. I'm calling out names, so let me show you what's the deal. I love the calling out names.
Starting point is 00:09:22 That's what we do out here. We don't just beat around the bush. No, no subliminals here. He's calling out, heavyweight extraordinaire, Tyson Fury. Here you go with this. This is you talking funny. This one goes out to Tyson Fury. You must have bumped the head.
Starting point is 00:09:37 Talk crazy boy you silly. Say you beat me with one hand. I really love to see that. Come in meet me in the ring. I lay you flat in your back. Ooh. Big, big, big, big, boom, boop, boop, boop. Get him with Snickers.
Starting point is 00:09:49 He eats Snickers famously before his fight. Yeah, like, this is diet. He sounds like the rock. I'm trying to figure out who he's, like, emulating in his flow. Himself? What you mean? Andy, the Destroyer. No, he does sound like that rock Fortnite song.
Starting point is 00:10:03 Yeah, like he sounds like the rock. Like, the rock for you have a rap career, that's what he would sound like. Oh. Yeah. Do you think it's the effect that he put on his voice? Could be. What do you think? Can you know him?
Starting point is 00:10:14 It's whack. What? That's your big dog. That's my big dog. But. It sucks? Nah, it don't, it don't suck. Then what?
Starting point is 00:10:26 It's just whack. That's my dog. For all you'll name my ponies come and step into my field. I'm going savage. I'm going to get a fucking how they feel. I'm going to let you know right now right here. It's not great.
Starting point is 00:10:41 When I see them tomorrow, it's going to be amazing now. Hey, bro. Hey, running back. Put the sirens on that. Let's put the sirens on that. Let's put the siren. Yeah, because he's for real a heavyweight boxer. Yeah. Well, no, that's great.
Starting point is 00:10:55 He's fantastic. Watch he comes out to himself. Because you know how boxers always usually they have a walkout, they have a rapper or like a performer. Yeah. He could wrap himself into the ring. That'd be cool. Matter of all the boxers' rappers, he's the best one. Who else has wrapped?
Starting point is 00:11:10 No, I don't know. I don't know. Oh, Brian Garcia, wrapped right? Oh, no, that was a great song. Not going to lie. Who else rap? Bless. Holly favor.
Starting point is 00:11:17 Yeah, everybody liked that one. Hallie favor. Roy Jones Jr. He had a thing. That can't stop, right? Or can't be touched? Something like that. Everybody.
Starting point is 00:11:25 Yeah, yeah, yeah. I wouldn't put him on that list either, brother. Like, I don't know. Adrian Broner exists. You can't say he sucks? And then he's the best boxer. No, it's good. It's good.
Starting point is 00:11:35 For not being an avid rapper, look at him. Look at him. It's pretty good. Why the switch up all of a time? He just remembered 300 pounds. To be honest. A drive away.
Starting point is 00:11:46 I don't know how it doesn't get on rotation on this day. You know what it needs? I don't know. It needs another verse from Beretta. That's what it needs. Ream-in. Not we're trying to go number one like that. Humble.
Starting point is 00:11:59 Humble King. There's a song going viral right now that has everybody fighting online on what this song actually says. So this is another situation. You guys remember like the blue and black dress where people see different colors. Some people see blue or black. Some people see. It was white and yellow. White and yellow.

Starting point is 00:13:12 Just play. Just what is the saying? One more time. One more time. Oh. Just what is? I didn't get a one. Robot scoot canoe.
Starting point is 00:13:29 Scoot canoe. Scoot canoe. Scoot canoe is in there, huh? Robot scoot cano. Cano. I don't know, something about a canoe. Is this a camp song? Angie.
Starting point is 00:13:35 DuPascaut cano. Okay. It's definitely a different language, so he's, I don't understand what he's saying, but it's Pobeskocono. What does it sound like in English though? Yeah, like some words. That's good too. Technically Spanish, but yes.
Starting point is 00:14:00 Concrete. Concrete. Pobis coconut, what is it? What is it? What do you hear of my friend? I don't know. I don't know. Nothing?
Starting point is 00:14:18 Your little brain? Oh, my God. Let me see you play it again? No. An obiscoat and coconut oil. Cooking oil. Great. What are the comments say?

Starting point is 00:15:02 con hammon Yeah There's a canoe in there for show Everybody's wrong Duh What is it saying? The song's in German That's why
Starting point is 00:15:12 It's a German language song It's called Gug Gnog by the artist Blumen Gart And the first four words are Da Bats Gatkeno But what is it mean? In English
Starting point is 00:15:25 In English It means Nah man The whole thing That we thought it was English Dog What does it mean? Good enough.
Starting point is 00:15:33 You are good enough. That's all that, just to say good enough. You are good enough. You are good enough. But like in German, not crazy. What's the word? Jopetskagnat. Juergeneff.
Starting point is 00:15:45 That's me. Hamburger headband. See, it's D-U-S-B-I-S-T. I thought it was English. I thought the whole thing was too. I know. Yeah, it was a little, it was a front game. No, it's Guber, Schmug-G-N-U.
Starting point is 00:16:00 All right, thanks, thanks, Greg. Yes, stupidish, that's good. No. Yeah. You're good enough. And now, the weather. And now, the weather. Hell the dog.

You're going to be hotter than the Amazon. 97 degrees and 74 degrees at night. Wow. Next, we take the 138 to the city of Per Blossom. and L.A. I'm a sick fool.

Starting point is 00:17:34 Always do that double check. Always do that double check. Cabazon 97, 74 degrees at night. Perblossom, 94 and 72, Tarzana, 94 and 68 degrees at night. And more part, you're going to be 89 to 65 degrees at night. It's your boy concrete from back morning. Stay cool, peritos. All right, check this out, homie.
Starting point is 00:17:52 You need a homie or need some help. We need your head. We need a line. I mean, phone line. We got you for the homie help line. All right, you guys. Mia has some complaints about blessings, is all I can describe it as. She hit us up and said, hey, brown bag, I need some help because I can't tell if my man's being sweet or low-key trying to run my life.
Starting point is 00:18:17 She said, I'm Mia, I'm 26, just graduated college, and I've always been on my hustle. I've been working towards my career for years, and now with my degree, I'm full-fledged, chasing. my dreams working somewhere I've always dreamed of with plans of moving up. Nice. My boyfriend is 31. He works at a big hospital as a senior research analyst. Makes really good money. The other day, we were talking about my job and he said,
Starting point is 00:18:42 babe, you don't need to work. I got you. If we get married one day, I don't want you to work. Here's where I'm stuck. We're a pretty new couple, only been together for six months, and I'm not the type to just sit there and wait to be taken care of. I've always been independent in hustling towards my goals. He's never told me I have to quit or gave some deadline.
Starting point is 00:19:02 He just made it clear that's what he demands when we end up getting married, especially once kids are in the picture. His thing is that my industry is full of a bunch of slimy guys. And part of me is like, oh, that's so sweet. But the other part of me is like, wait, hold up. Are you looking out for me or are you trying to make sure I'm dependent on you? Now I'm wondering if I just spent four years stressing over exams just to frame my diploma and never use it. Brown bag, is my man really trying to take care of me or is he trying to control me?
Starting point is 00:19:35 Damn. You're going to college, just... What? I hate dudes like this. What? Control their girls like that? So you think it's that he's controlling? He's controlling her.
Starting point is 00:19:45 Already. That's already six months. It's barely six months in. Come on, he's trying to control her. Why, when's the right time to start controlling? He didn't tell her to it. stop working now. He said if we get married.
Starting point is 00:19:55 This is already six months in. No, but they're not engaged. Yeah, they're not engaged. I think she's thinking way too much ahead. Like, that's way too far. Like, when is this fool going to propose? He can propose tomorrow. And that's what you can say, all right, when we're getting married?
Starting point is 00:20:07 He can propose tomorrow. No, that's when pausing your court. Call him on his bluff. Oh, you're going to take care of me? Because baby girls, if we haven't heard, I'll take care of you, girl. You don't got to do nothing, girl. If we haven't heard that, the first two weeks, three months, six months. That's Greg's opening line.
Starting point is 00:20:22 Yeah. Like, you know, I'll take care of you, girl. I'll take care of you girls. That's just after the first dance. But after that, it's like... They're just words. They're just words. Don't get your cup.
Starting point is 00:20:32 Don't let it like fall, like your world come crashing down. Who's just that you even want to marry this fool? It'll been six months. One of the slimy guys might be better. And then you guys got to go half on half on everything. She's going to college. She has their own thing going on. She graduated.
Starting point is 00:20:48 She graduated. Oh, okay. So then this dude to come in and try. a controller like that? Hell no. But he's not doing it right now. It's like in the future. She could propose next week and be like, all right, quit everything then.
Starting point is 00:20:59 Or he could take 10 years. Damn. It's a hypothetical. If I was a worm, would you still love me? And if you guys were tripped like, oh my God, you guys, would it? If she was a worm, would I love her? It's better. I don't think there's.
Starting point is 00:21:13 Yeah, I wouldn't. That'd be weird. I don't like worms. That'd be a very thing. Just me and this worms. I'm glad to you, though. No, yeah, it is a trip. I mean, I get the part where it's like
Starting point is 00:21:25 she was stressing the whole time trying to get her degree and then it's like, okay, well, I'm not going to use it now. Yeah, that part I'm like, oh, yeah, that probably would be fresh. What's the industry again? No, diko. Oh, no, no, they're a bunch of slimy guys. Hey, let's guess.
Starting point is 00:21:39 What industry has slimy guys? Anybody? DJs? Like nightlife? Oh, not DJ. No, yeah, I have like. You are kind of slimy. Yeah, I have very slimy.
Starting point is 00:21:48 Car dealerships. Oh, yeah. She went to college to be a car salesman. Finance. Oh, realtors? Realters? Really? Really?
Starting point is 00:21:58 The medical field? Nurses? They're slimy? Guys are slimy and nursing? Nursing? Male nurses? They get. Oh, are you saying that they're slimy everywhere?
Starting point is 00:22:08 It doesn't pick a field? Are you guys saying that? This dude's just being a hater. Are you full saying that? Oil change. I don't know. Oh, no. Oh, you guys are nursing or hospitals.
Starting point is 00:22:17 This was in a hospital. True. So he knows then. He's slimy. He said he does research now, whatever. So he's the slimy one then. He's researched and analyzed all the slimy guys. Well, I mean, maybe it takes one to no one.
Starting point is 00:22:29 So he's probably like, oh, there's slimy guys over here. And it's like, wait, aren't you over here? Stay awake, girl. What if he just doesn't want her to, like, be better than him? That's what it sounds like. From what it seems like with her, with this specifically, it seems like they had a conversation about the future. And he showed, he told her what he wanted it. But now it's like six months in.
Starting point is 00:22:49 Crazy. Yeah. For her. That's like, hey, if I want you to know, like if we get married, I want kids. What? She wants kids. If we get married, bro. You have to know, like, because then if I don't tell you what I want and then we get
Starting point is 00:23:00 married, you never said you want kids. Yeah, because what if you mean you just wants to take care of her? Yeah. It could. Really? But I think that part that got me is when she said, like, he demands when we end up getting married. It's that part. Like, he demands.
Starting point is 00:23:12 Yeah. Maybe that's what he wants in a wife. Yeah. Maybe that's what he wants. And maybe he wants his wife to take care of the household and take care of the kids. And that needs to be. be like a bigger combo then because then and then you can be like what do you demand? What do you demand in the relationship then?
Starting point is 00:23:26 Yeah. It seems like a very understandable relationship. No, yeah. Unless this was being like, hey, drop what you're doing right now. Right now. That's what it seems like. No, but he didn't say that. He said if we get married, dog.
Starting point is 00:23:37 That's a, that's a if we get married. It's in the future. This is like when a guy is like, you know what? I think, you know, I believe in pre-nups, you know, and the guy has like 50, 50 bucks in his account. You know what? I just, you know, I just don't think it's right for you to have. These girls ain't loyal, you know. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:23:52 You could take half of the Chevy. Everything I worked for, you know, my $25. I can't trust these girls. Like what? I'm a chit the tires. Be nice. Come on. You hit on me.
Starting point is 00:24:06 What is? I feel like it's controlling. It's just something controlling. It's just you're barely six months in and you're already talking about this. I just like, I demand you to stop everything that you're doing, basically. And stay home. I don't think it's that controlling. Yes, it is.
Starting point is 00:24:21 I think it's very, and I would rather, if she thinks it's controlling, now's your time to do. Yeah. Because there's another girl that's me like, yes, please, I've been ready to find someone and marry me so that I can stay home. It, like, shows you, like, this is what I want, this is what I don't want. He drew the line in the sand and that's fine. Like, I think, I think if anything, like, that's what a woman should want is to hear what a man wants. Yeah. And draw the line in the sand, right?
Starting point is 00:24:44 Yeah. Because it feels by surprise later, you know, and she got even further and worked even harder. and then got like just left right there that might be worse. Yeah. Imagine he brings it up like once they're married and she's like whoa, whoa, whoa. By the way.
Starting point is 00:24:57 I don't know this what you wanted. I was saying about it last night. He's like, by the way, I just put in your two weeks at work, touch your right? It's all over. Just sabotage your career. Yeah, just catch out the 401Ks all day.
Starting point is 00:25:08 You ain't even going to be that good at it anyway. The girl like to care of you. But babe, the slimy guys, babe. I saved you. No, but there are a lot of girls that wouldn't mind that lifestyle. Yeah, of course. Like, what?
Starting point is 00:25:22 I wouldn't mind the lifestyle. Yes, they had home now. Oh, my God. Living life. Oh, dude, she could pull up to the crib. I'll be with an apron, no, nothing. Surprise, surprise. Surprise, surprise.
Starting point is 00:25:36 Surprise, surprise. Hello. You know, stop by for lunch. I'll take care of you. Okay. And I'm wondering, does he do other things that, like, control? Like, is he, is he, is he on her about where she goes, who she hangs out with, things of that nature.
Starting point is 00:25:54 Because honestly, and not to take the guy's side here. But part of it is him telling you what he wants. Part of it is like, okay, that's not what I want. I'm not going to walk away. Or he's trying to control me. It's over. Similar to like if it's other things in a relationship. I'm not the thing you're trying to take the guy's side as more as is just what sounds right.
Starting point is 00:26:17 The man. The man. The male perspective. Because I'll tell you, having been in a relationship that's really controlling, it gets controlling quickly. And it's not just where you work. It's who you hang out with. It's, hey, I don't like that home girl. Stop talking to her.
Starting point is 00:26:36 It's a, like, I got the phones or whatever, like, so they can take it away. And granted, it might manifest itself in different things, but I would assume there's other things that she could maybe share that kind of solidify the controlling, or is that too harsh of a word to call him saying what he wants in a wife? Which is just like if I wanted something from a man, is that, oh, damn, this girl is controlling. She wants me to make over $100 or whatever. Or is that just what she wants for her husband as someone that's her partner? That's kind of where I'm having a little trouble with it.
Starting point is 00:27:13 But I do think if this is not what, if you're already not liking that feeling, that's your gut telling you like this is not for you yeah yeah because someone else is going to be like oh yeah like i'm down with that like i don't need to be around because it's also there's a big difference between like i'm gonna take care of you and i want to invest in you what are you doing invest yeah yeah i'm messing you help you they build out their dreams yeah okay because if she has dreams that she's working towards it's like okay let's make them happen for you together let me assist you in making them happen you know what i'm saying it's like since he apparently has like extra income disposable income. It's like, okay, yeah, maybe you don't have to work at that job, but let me
Starting point is 00:27:50 assist you in, like, building your own thing. You know what I'm saying? Here at home. Exactly. Under my watch in the garage. And that would also help you, like, if you're like, yeah, he does this and then he also like, I don't know, he disparages my home girls or like, it's weird. Like, I feel like I can't even go to see my family. Like, like, then you kind of feel like the different nudges of like what's control and what is like, you know, those things that you want in someone because you'll you'll be able to tell you you'll you'll feel it and those guys do exist as well of course and then women get resentful and and then you know it happens it happens and and so it's just a little bit tough for me to to
Starting point is 00:28:30 completely cut like if she's asking is this controlling if you were asking me i'll be like me it's it has it has a potential to be controlling but he's also probably telling you what he wants and if you don't like it you can just turn around walk away unless he's saying and you you can't walk away or like or this is what's going to happen or else you know you're not going over and you know how sometimes it's like um like i know a girl i know girls intentions more than my man will you fools know guys intentions more than your girl one sometimes you're like hey girl that's not a good look or hey you got to watch out there how much of it is you being controlling or you being protective yeah it's a weird thin line yeah it's a fine line like if you saw another fool around your
Starting point is 00:29:15 girl acting weird and you tell her, hey, that fool's acting weird, are you jealous and controlling, or are you seeing it? No, you see it. No, but that's, it seems like the, eh. Oh, yeah. Well, how much of it is looking out and how much of it is controlling? It's a fine line because sometimes people take advantage of like, they'll just be like, I'm just protecting you.
Starting point is 00:29:35 Yeah, they flip it. Meanwhile, it's like the whole time it's, no, it's more to protect themselves. Manipulate. So it's like manipulating. So let's not take guys advice. about what we do with girls? Did you guys just agree? Wait, did you guys just agree
Starting point is 00:29:50 that you fools manipulate the situation? Hold on, you got mind control. You got mind control over me right now. I feel like I'll treat y'all. Just agreed right now. That fool's lie. No, no. You just manipulated us.
Starting point is 00:30:03 No, I didn't. I asked questions. She's doing that mind control. I think it's just funny that, you know. Child goes to manipulate the situation. Yeah, hold on. I was trying to understand you. You're like, no, let the action be lying.
Starting point is 00:30:15 I don't know what I said. They don't really. I was in a trance. I'm just, I'm fighting demons right now. I don't know what I'm saying. I don't know. Ladies, take off. All right, let's go to the phone lines.
Starting point is 00:30:26 Let's tell about Mia. Mia has a man. They've been together for six months. Started talking about getting married and things of that nature. And then he made the admission to her like, hey, I could take care of you. If things come to us getting together, I demand my wife to not work anymore. She must obey. But, and your career is full sleazy guys.
Starting point is 00:30:49 Slimy guys. Slimy. Yuck. Slimy guys. Dripping everywhere. Oh, icky. Sticky, achy. Is this a sign for her to just walk away? Or is it like, hey, maybe he's trying to save me. Maybe he wants to save me.
Starting point is 00:31:03 Maybe. Clack. You're enfledso here. Elsie. Elsie. You're with your carota. It's like, Christy. Elsie.
Starting point is 00:31:12 What's up, Elsie? Hey, good morning, y'all. Hi, Elsie. Elsie, you're all the way in Oregon. Shout out to you for listening to us. Elsie, talk to us. What would you tell me? Okay, so for sure, I think the first thing is that she needs to know what she wants for herself, right?
Starting point is 00:31:31 Whether that's to be taken care of or to kind of make her own bread. I was in a similar situation before. when I was in college, I had a long-term boyfriend, and receiving my education was, like, really important to me. And the guy that I was dating, a really nice guy, and, like, kind of gave the same energy, right? Like, I want to take care of you, all of that. And it didn't seem controlling from, like, his end,
Starting point is 00:32:02 but, like, somehow I knew that, like, being with this guy, I wasn't going to be able to, like, actually, like, achieve my goals. Like, I just knew I, like, you would want to, like, exactly. He'd want to wife me up, want me to have kids. And, like, I'm like, yeah, long term, that's cool. But, like, right away, not really, right? And so, I decided to leave that relationship. And I'm not going to lie, in the beginning, it was, like, really hard because, like,
Starting point is 00:32:34 like, damn, I had everything. I could have had it all. Back to work. I'm going to figure it out of itself. Exactly. I could have like literally been taking care of. But thankfully, you know, I do feel that I made the right decision. I mean, I was able to create my career.
Starting point is 00:32:53 And shout out. My career was also in journalism. And so that's why I had to move to get my start. But yeah, I had to like leave the relationship to know. that like I didn't want to wonder that what if I think that's the main point like the what if like what if I had stayed in the relationship and not really been able to achieve everything that I wanted right and having left I got my answer like I was able to do everything on my own I do have my own career I do make my own money I am
Starting point is 00:33:28 financially stable now and I'm and I'm so happy I made that that that's great Elsie yeah Elsie do you have a partner do you have a or is Is it really, truly, you have the career, you chose that route, which is not a bad route. That's your choice. I don't have a partner right now. I think I, like for my short-term and also long-term goals, was realizing if I'm going to leave this relationship, then it's truly about me and focusing on myself and not really being distracted with anything else. Yeah. And so I've been able to do that.
Starting point is 00:34:05 And I think, yeah, there's a sacrifice. both sides for everything. Stayed locked in. You know, I mean, not that you couldn't reach your goals being married or nothing like that. You can find a partner that's willing to do that and still take care of you. Where? I don't know. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:34:23 I don't know. I think, you know, as, you know, I'm a married man. You know, my wife is, you know, she's been a stay-at-home mom. I decided from the very beginning that I was, even when I was, you know, making $7, $8 an hour, I was like, I'm going to take care of you. It wasn't a, to me, it was never a financial thing. It was just more like, as a man, I wanted to provide. Okay, okay, okay.
Starting point is 00:34:44 So what did she had said, is he controlling me? Because your girl is a singer. She's a beautiful singing voice. She's like, I had to give my career to be. No, no, she never gave up her career for me. Barretta's wife. No, she never gave her career for me. No.
Starting point is 00:34:58 No, no, no. If anything, I've always encouraged, like, hey, if you ever want to get back, let me know. That's good. If you want to go to school, if you want to go to work, you let me know. Like it was never like, but I think as a man, we tend to just be providers. Yeah. Or most men. I mean, I know there's out there that that are not, you know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:35:15 I know there's, you know, I don't want to say bad apples, but just different men, different men. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Different styles. But just in, like, in general, I think men want to be providers. You know what I'm saying? And sometimes the economy doesn't allow that in a way. So then both, you know, husband and wife have to go to work and, you know, I'm in a provide. And I get that whole situation, you know.
Starting point is 00:35:34 And maybe because you encourage and you're like, if you ever want to get back and you say those things, maybe she has that peace of mind that like, it's there if I wanted. Yeah. Oh. He's not trying to control my life. No, I've never tried to do that. I was never like, hey, there was a canada-as and I said, no, I was a salient. I was always like, hey, do whatever you want to do, I got you.
Starting point is 00:35:51 And maybe that's how Mia feels. It's like, there's going to be just. Or was it like, do whatever you want to do, but choices have consequences. And if you do that. No, no, not. Then you pay the car notes. No. No, not at all.
Starting point is 00:36:04 It was always more like, we're just, you know, let's get it. Aver, how we'll do we do, we're saying. So, I think that's the, you know,
Starting point is 00:36:14 and I think women these days, and I mean, Ken, it's nothing to say that women can't have careers and nothing like that, but just in general, usually men want to be providers. And I don't think that's a bad thing,
Starting point is 00:36:24 you know? KPWRF, M, HG1, Los Angeles 10, 106, LA's number one for hip-hip. And yeah, this got into like a little bit of bigger conversation, shout out to Mia, for hitting this up.
Starting point is 00:36:34 She has a boyfriend of six months who does really, really well for himself. Her too, she's a little hustler. Come on, she's been getting it. Okay, she went to college, got a degree, getting into a field that she really loves and she wants to excel in, and she definitely has a potential too,
Starting point is 00:36:48 and she's young, she could get it. But her man is like, age as so you know, like if we get married, I really want my wife to stay at home. In La Casa. And now she's like, oh my God, trying to control me. The walls are closed me.
Starting point is 00:36:59 Yeah. Can't breathe. And all other people would be like, this is best case scenario, girl. Say yes He could be having brunch wearing Chanel Go on to the pilas Yeah
Starting point is 00:37:09 Do it for all of us That can But that gets affected her Because deep down to her So she wants to go out and get it You know And just like you mentioned brother Like there's like a certain men
Starting point is 00:37:20 That want to be providers There are also certain women That is like hey they want to There's something that is Hey I want to chill at home Yeah You know I'm a homemaker I want to nurture kids
Starting point is 00:37:30 And then there's other ones They're like Hey I really want this career you know I I honestly don't see myself having time for that and then there's some that are like hey I want to just like have both I want to have the family I want to have the career there's all these different types of people and places and things and so that is kind of where she's at right now trying to figure it all out and I love that we're giving insight that there's people that have been through it so let's go to Stacy in Wilmington
Starting point is 00:37:57 good morning Stacy good morning Stacy talk to us You have insight you can give Mia? Yeah, I'm actually been in a controlled marriage for 20 years plus. I went to school, got my education for be a teacher to be an education and never did my degree, not even one year. I got married as soon as I graduated and we decided on having kids and I wanted to go back to school. like I said, you know what, I should go get a higher degree. And he's like, how about we have one more child?
Starting point is 00:38:36 So we had one more child and that was it. I stopped and had another one. So I never went back to school. And I'm still here as a stay-at-home mom, raising my kids, living the life, traveling. I mean, I love it. Oh, you love it. Let's go. Traveling, she got me on that.
Starting point is 00:38:55 You said control. Yeah. Yeah, it was like, oh, my gosh, we're going to hear testimony. I know. It sounded like it was going one way, but then you're like, and I love it. I love it. He turns me on like a remote control. Hold on, hold on, hold on.
Starting point is 00:39:08 Paroam six, number one for hip hop in linguway. Shout us to all the pretzies in linguas. Let's get back to Stacy. Stacey, so you understand you're being controlled, or like, is that just like a playful way you're putting it? No, I understand I'm being controlled because when I said, hey, I'm going to go back to, you know, go to school, try to get a job. He's like, no, let's just have another baby. regret it at all. That doesn't sound like you're
Starting point is 00:39:32 in control. And that turned you on? And that turned you on? And that turned you, it is. No, you know what? Yeah, because, you know, I feel like, oh my God, like, I love this person a lot more. Like, he takes care of me. He tells me like, oh, where you're going. You know, I go to the gym all the time. I spend three hours at the gym. Wow. Three hours at the gym is. He did a great job. So controlled. Hold on. Wait, are you real? Are you real? Yeah, you focus on yourself and, you know, you're a better person. in, you raise great kids. Like, my kids are, you know, as I see it, as every mom is going to say, like,
Starting point is 00:40:08 your kids are great. But my kids, you know, are great. They're, I have four. And it just like, I took care of them from the start. Are they boys or girls? I have two girls and two boys. Would you want the girls to be in a similar situation as you having gone to school? Right now, my oldest, she's 19.
Starting point is 00:40:30 And she's still like in her little, you know, cave, but she doesn't want to go out. But which I tell her, you know, it's at times you're going to get out at whatever time you don't pressure by your friends. Stay where you are. It will come to you. So right now I have no partings yet. Two drive. Two still don't. But, you know, I have good kids.
Starting point is 00:40:55 And my daughter is well. I feel like you're trying to convince yourself that it's like, yeah, everything's so good. It seems like she's happy. I don't know. This is like authentic happiness. She travels? She does travel. Yeah, I travel like four times a year.
Starting point is 00:41:11 Like I travel like Europe. We go everywhere with our kids and, you know, they love it. They got a nice house in Wilmington. They like when I'm home, taking care of them, you know, cooking for them. So, I mean, it's not bad. Yeah, you're not doing roofing in July. That's good for you. She's not bumming in a hundred and forty degree rather.
Starting point is 00:41:34 What would your career have been in? I never step foot in a classroom. And like I have cousins that are principals that are teachers. And it's like, oh my God, you're like, so you should have never. And I'm like, you know what? I know I went in the wrong field. But, you know, I like kids. So that's why I went to that field.
Starting point is 00:41:52 Your field was teaching? Your field was teaching? Yes. Yeah. Yeah. So she probably has like education, yeah. You know, education, how to raise your kids at home and teach at home school and do all that. She's making you sound so much.
Starting point is 00:42:04 It does. Hey, guys, controlled over here. Love it. Love life. Just do what the man says. As the Bible told us. Not kidding. No, I'm kidding.
Starting point is 00:42:12 No. Stop it. Hey, they exist. Yeah. They don't make them like you no more. God bless your heart. Love it. It's like, you'd be like, hey, you can't stay faithful with 20 years.
Starting point is 00:42:27 Oh, yeah, you can. You can stay faithful. and, you know, go to a gym for three hours and stay faithful. Yes, it's a thing. Like, you know, have God in your life, love your husband. You know, be good to your husband. And I tell him all the time, I'm like, oh, my God. Like, I'm so good.
Starting point is 00:42:43 And he's like, yeah, you are. So, I mean. I tell you. Are you, do you need help? Are you trapped in a basement somewhere right now, locked up? She's stress-free. That's what I'm like. That's what real happiness sounds like.
Starting point is 00:42:56 Yeah, stress-free. I know it sounds weird, guys. It sounds weird. I know it sounds weird, but hey, before you go, don't forget to thaw that kitchen for today. And you're in Wilmington, you say? Yes. Hey, just out of curiosity, what does he do for a living?
Starting point is 00:43:14 What does your help you do for a living? I'm just going to tell you that he works for attorneys. He works for attorneys. Okay, good. He's a hit, man. He provides, that's what he does. He provides and he controls. He works for attorneys.
Starting point is 00:43:28 Yeah. He's a rot. No, that's good. Good for him. That's awesome. And good for you. And good for you. Has anyone in your life ever challenged this dynamic you have?
Starting point is 00:43:40 Like maybe you've been like, hey, you could have done your own thing or like, dang, girl. You're being controlled. Yes. My parents all the time would tell me, like, back to school, finish your degree. And I'm like, you know what? I'm not valued as for my degree. As a person, I don't see myself that I have to do certain goals to be value. Like, your true value is in your motherhood and your wifehood.
Starting point is 00:44:04 Yeah, being with your kids. Correct. That's beautiful. Correct. Can't be mad at that. What am I doing here? I quit. That's how I fulfilled myself.
Starting point is 00:44:15 Oh, wow. He also filled you. And then you had another career. He's like, anytime I want a career, he just knocks me up. Another kid sounds good. Keeps are busy like that. No, no, we stop that for. it.
Starting point is 00:44:29 Okay. Unless you want to go back to teaching, then it's like five. Yeah, unless you get another bright idea. No, we're going for five.
Starting point is 00:44:37 This is the lady and her ideas. All right, hold on the line. Wow. Stacy. Yeah, they exist, y'all.
Starting point is 00:44:44 Of course they do. But those who wouldn't exist if man that wanted to provide didn't exist. Man provide. Man provide. Men provide. Women's laid down.
Starting point is 00:44:56 For favor. Women's in three hours. For favor. I like how she was like, yeah, I'm controlled. Yeah, I'm controlled. Yeah, I'm controlled and I'm doing amazing. Some dudes like to be controlled too. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:45:10 No, you don't have to put in work. Oh, yeah. You'll be kept. He's like, tell the girl, just tell me what to do and I'll do it. Oh, I thought like financially controlled. No, no, not like that. Yeah. I'm sure there's some food that will want to be home by a lot.
Starting point is 00:45:24 You just like have a girl that's like making mad bread or something. thing like. Yeah, like a K-fed? K-fed? Oh, yeah. For sure. They broke up, had a crazy divorce. It's been bad.
Starting point is 00:45:35 For sure. But he's set for life. He's not, no. I don't think so. I don't think so. I don't think so. That's right now. Waking up at now.
Starting point is 00:45:46 That would be nice. That would be nice, huh? Me de gastra de la Zonas. Oh, a way of one. I don't just. I know. What time are you going to be done today? Can I use the car?
Starting point is 00:46:06 There's a gas car. We'll go pick up stuff from the cleaners. And then you're in that same position when she comes back for a way. That would be so beautiful. Oh, my God. You're so good at that. Let's go to Vanessa and Montebello. Our home girl Mia hit us up because her and her man had a conversation.
Starting point is 00:46:26 He's like, yeah, if we get married one day, I want my wife to, not work. I want to be the one to provide. That's kind of just what I want. That's what I need in my life. And she's like, damn, is this one trying to control me? Or is this like the blessing in disguise? Like, Homegirl just showed us like Stacey Women's Teen. Made it sound so nice. She did. Put a little flower. Is it not? Is it not? Is it not? Is it not? She didn't sound stress at all. There's some people that their purpose is like, you know, like my purpose is being a wife and being a mother. You know, there's other people that something else tugs at them. I love that, but I also want something else to you.
Starting point is 00:47:03 For sure. And you just can't call it. Vanessa and Manabello. Vanessa, good morning. Hi, good morning. Hey, home girl. Vanessa, what would you tell me? It seems like you've been through something too.
Starting point is 00:47:15 Yes, okay. So this is just my experience. So I could only speak on that. But what I can tell you is that don't do it. Okay, I was in a relationship with someone for about like 10 years. Um, we were ups and downs. Uh, had money, no money, but at one point we had a lot of money. Um, and it was great.
Starting point is 00:47:37 It was great when we had some money. We got along. Everything was fine. But, um, at the end of the day, he, I found out that with all that money, came with cheating. Ah, hell no. No, no. Yeah, let her talk. This is her experience.
Starting point is 00:47:55 It came with cheating. He was. was paying for women. His money, his money. Shut up. And then? Yeah. And I ended up leaving and now I do my own thing. I have my own business and I'm happy than ever. That's good.
Starting point is 00:48:13 And I do have a daughter with him, you know. So have only as much kids as you can take care of on your own because at the end of the day, if they leave and you have like four or five kids, you're going to be. be pulling your hair out. You know, so I only have one. You're not going to like, you don't sound as happy as Stacy's out of it. Yeah, Stacy's on a way happy. Well, because you can't associate having money with cheating.
Starting point is 00:48:39 That was his situation. That was her situation. Yeah, yeah, yeah, that was different. Yeah, you know, and it fucking sucks. I was so happy. Little lady. So, sorry, sorry. So happy.
Starting point is 00:48:49 So happy. You sound so happy. This motherfucker. You know. And I sure got it. I see you, my mom. Oh. Yeah, we got those kids.
Starting point is 00:48:59 I'm going to get it. I was so hardbroken. Yeah. Yeah. For 10 years. Wow. And plus, it probably seemed harder after because you had given up so much to be in that relationship. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:49:14 You give up your career. You give up everything. Like, you are taking care of the household. You're doing everything on your own. And if they leave at the end of the day, you're going to have to start from scratch. Mm. Excellent. And also too, like, they also have to be okay with you just being at home and chilling.
Starting point is 00:49:34 Sometimes I have other friends that they're doing the same thing and their man comes home and they're in a bad mood and they're like, oh, no, like, you're just at home doing things. So you have to think about that too. And like, there's so much that goes into it. Yeah. At the end of the day, you're going to be putting your dreams aside. Are you going to be happy with yourself? Are you going to be happy with your life how it turned out? with your dreams to the side.
Starting point is 00:50:00 You're not going to do whatever it is that you want to do. You're going to have to stay home, take care of the household, take care of your kids. And the answer is different for everyone. Like for some people are like, no, I'm not going to do that. For people like Stacey who told us that that's something that I was willing to sacrifice and then I feel better for it, it's different for everyone. That's a definite conversation you've got to have with yourself, me of. of, hey, is this something that I'm down to give up
Starting point is 00:50:28 this degree, this, all of that, to try it. You know? To, or not to try it, to marry this man if he proposes. Yeah. Whenever he does. And let go out of all of that. Just fake a pregnancy.
Starting point is 00:50:42 See how it really acts. Yeah. Oh, that'll show her. Great strategy, Greg. Exactly. Just like, I'm pregnant. What if he's like, yeah, okay, stay home, go quick. Just kidding.
Starting point is 00:50:52 Yeah. Just kidding. Not you're a liar. Now go quick because you're not going to quit because you lie. I'm going to make it up right now. I know. It is summer camp week here in the mornings of the brown bag summer camp. Bro, this would be tight.
Starting point is 00:51:10 Levantate. You got mosquito bites. There's crickets on your legs. Ugh. That's what? Mosquito bites? You're so dumb. Once again.
Starting point is 00:51:23 You ain't got no jugs. You're doing that. You're doing the, I don't know. I don't want to be able to tell. But it's time for Brownback Morning's summer camp. Today this morning, we have tickets to go to Hurricane Harbor. And on the line, we have a caller for each one of us, sack riders, okay? We had a sack race earlier this morning, and we're going to find out who won that, all right?
Starting point is 00:51:44 Leonard and Norwalk is going for you, Victor. Anthony in Long Beach, got you, Greg? He thinks your sack riding is the best sack rodioners ever sack rode. He thinks you're a demon in the sack. What? Priscilla and Van Haas is going for you, Angelica. Herrardo in Lincoln Heights got me. Wee.
Starting point is 00:52:01 I've been known to ride some sex. What? She's been known? She said that and instantly regretted it. I'm trying to bring myself up here, you guys. I've been known. That's what I'm known for. Sex writing, apparently.
Starting point is 00:52:20 And we got. Scar? Scar. Hights. Sacker? Yeah. I don't know. Skar and boys' heights thinks Kahn is the...
Starting point is 00:52:29 And it's not fair. The sack rider of all sack riders. Big brought guns to the... To the campsite. Oh, we're lying. Oh, we're lying. He bought the turkey leg that you can buy at Disneyland. Bigt's wearing a coat-off shirt.
Starting point is 00:52:44 He is. He has his farmer's tan. With an insane farmer's tan. I'm working on it. It's a hot day. I appreciate it. He took off the shirt. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:52:53 Yeah, his hair is so hairy. Whatever you got to do, brother, whatever you got to do to win this sack race, you do it. Yeah. Why does you intimidate us? It's just funny how the hair just stops at the elbow. Right? You better leave him alone. Did you shave like that on purpose?
Starting point is 00:53:07 But that's how it stopped. No, no, this is how I'm built. Like his elbow just. It's all natural right here. Mm-hmm. 100%. Hey, it's not for us to like. It's not, it's not for us.
Starting point is 00:53:17 Your girl's so lucky. That's all Jordan right there. She loves this sack. See? You know how I said something in there, Instagram regret? Instill regret. Yeah, big dearest. Anyway, we did the set grace.
Starting point is 00:53:30 Oh, her dad's, ah, see. Oh, my daughter's on your side. Go. My precious, sweet girl. My little angel. Oh, peludo. And he's peludo. You leave him alone.
Starting point is 00:53:44 A see. The pelo in your bonka. I hope not. You don't have a nervous. Dehalo. going down that road. A little guy. Hairball?
Starting point is 00:54:16 Hairballs? You are, Vick. Thank you. I appreciate it. And I like that you came dressed in camping gear. Yeah, I'm ready to camp. You look great. It's a brown by morning summer camp, so I ain't going about it.
Starting point is 00:54:32 You know what I'm saying? You need a little sun tan lotion. I do. Yeah, no, I know. I'm trying. We got these Hurricane Harbor tickets, a family four pack of tickets for you to enjoy Hurricane Harbor. I just called it. These are all the people that are going for you.
Starting point is 00:54:43 And one can only win this sack race. Who is it? Is it Greg? Is it? Angie, is it Vic, is it me? Stop thinking about his hair, bro. Come on, God. He was just looking at me like.
Starting point is 00:54:56 And smiling big. Thinking about it. Why did you put your legs on the table? Open. What if it's also clear how his arms are? There's no way. There's no way. There's like clearing the bush there.
Starting point is 00:55:13 Nah, that was all peddle right there, dog. Hair everywhere else but there. It would be crazy. But look his arms. Proving. Prove it. Live on air.
Starting point is 00:55:24 There's a restroom with Con right now. Can we find out who won? Let's go. You have us thinking of things we should don't want to think of. Oh, God. All right. All right. All right.
Starting point is 00:55:33 All right. This is the Brown Mac Morning sack race. Here you go. What up is DJ Greg C. Brown Man Morning's Power 106. Is it summer camp week? Guess what we're doing? A sack race.
Starting point is 00:55:43 Three, two, what? Sounds like horses crossing a river. My ankle. Okay. So the winner of the sack race that we had this morning is none other than. Can I get a drum roll please? DJ Greg C. Demon in the sack.
Starting point is 00:56:21 I don't know how I won that. I just started jumping. You've done this before. You did really good. It was really close between you and concrete. Yeah. You ended up taking that. I just started jumping.
Starting point is 00:56:31 So I was like, all right, take the win. So I'm the sack winning. All right. So congratulations. Congratulations to Anthony and Long Beach. You are going to go to Hurricane Harbor. You got this family four pack of tickets to enjoy the summertime at Hurricane Harbor. What's up?
Starting point is 00:56:44 This is Be Real from Cypress Hill. Where are you from, Esse? Don't you know I'm local? Imagine a world. In a world. With no drive-thru restaurants. Oh, I'm never eating. Yeah, I just wouldn't eat.
Starting point is 00:57:00 I just wouldn't eat. Love it or hate it. The city of Culver City is going over a proposed bag. on new drive-through restaurants, right? This is all happening because they proposed a new in-and-out over in the Studio Village Shopping Center over there, and they're like, look, the people of Culver City think that too many drive-thru restaurants
Starting point is 00:57:21 would be too much air pollution, too much long lines, too much traffic kept up. And so now the city is considering, not just not putting that in and out, but also not including drive-through restaurants ever again. What? I hate this so much. Culver City needs to stop acting like it's Century City. Like it's forgetting where...
Starting point is 00:57:42 It is really nice though. Culver City, the way they've set it up, that movie theater area, but it's nice now, but don't forget your roots. You used to be ghetto like 20 years ago. My dad wouldn't even let me go to you. You know what I'm saying? Like, I hate this. Do you think it's like because it's low-income food for them?
Starting point is 00:57:59 Maybe, but that's what I'm saying. Like drive-through food is low-income food for them? Why is it acting like that? Like, yeah, they're acting too bougie. Why are you trying to be healthier? or, ugh. No, in and out is good. In and out is great.
Starting point is 00:58:12 But that has been thinking if in and out is not, like, maybe they're just really thinking about those effects. Because who wouldn't want an in and out? Everybody. We all do. There's freaking states around the whole nation want this freaking in and out. Raising claims.
Starting point is 00:58:26 But I guess the conversation around in and out has them thinking, Dad, maybe we should just ban, drive through restaurants as a whole. No, the convenience. Why don't we just ban Culver City? Yeah. Let's do that.
Starting point is 00:58:38 How about that? Let's do that. Yeah. Want to put a gate around it. Exactly. I don't know why it's acting like that. They're just calling us lazy then at the, that's what they're doing. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:58:47 I just feel like they're trying to make it like, again, they're trying to be Century City. It's like, okay, yeah, I get it. There's not a lot of drive-thrus in Beverly Hills or Century City. I get it. That's how they've always been. But, like, Culver City is not that. You know what I'm saying? I really think Culver City is very nice.
Starting point is 00:59:01 I'm not saying it's nice now. It's like a tender green. They're trying to, like, come on. They need to stop for getting their roots. Okay. Well, and they also have like car dealerships over there, no? Yeah. But again, it's not too good for a drive-thru. Okay.
Starting point is 00:59:16 So this is where a big draw the line. You really ate that. They're really passionate about this. It's just really pissing me off. Should they ban the drive-thrus, like the future of drive-thru restaurants? It doesn't say anything about the existing ones. It says like from now on where we're thinking of banning drive-thru restaurants. And it work out for them.
Starting point is 00:59:32 Okay. Other cities are also going to ban. I know that's what I'm saying. If that's the case, Colversidians shouldn't be able to go to go to. to any drive-through. Yeah, exactly. What? Let me see your ID.
Starting point is 00:59:41 Because if you don't want to be in a neighborhood, then you shouldn't go to a world. Exactly. Yeah. Then if you live in Culver City, you can't go to no drive-thru. I play postmates, honestly. All the delivery apps, they made it easy. Now I don't need to go to a drive-toe because some fool will do it for me. You should, though, if you want your food warm.
Starting point is 00:59:57 Yeah. Yeah, I know. I don't need it warm. I need it. I need it without moving. No, and letty, there's no better experience than going to the drive-thru and getting all your food. So you think.
Starting point is 01:00:08 and then you drive away and they don't have it. That's like an unparalleled experience. Yeah. Or you get the wrong order. Sometimes you get more. You get a Dr. Pepper. Oh, yeah, come on. You always remember that.
Starting point is 01:00:18 Like, come on, we all have to go through that trauma one time, three times in our life, whatever it is. Like, come on, we can't just ban them all together. Okay, so we have a pledged war on Culver City is what I'm hearing. Yeah. No Starbucks Starbucks Drive to Nothing. Yeah, you don't get anything. That's what they're saying. That's what their residents are saying.
Starting point is 01:00:33 Culver City, don't you ever go to a drive-thru ever again. Culvercidians. They're going to have drive-thed nothing. through's just not new ones. No, I bet them all. Wipe them all. They're already there. Zoola, come here?
Starting point is 01:00:47 Now what's going on? She's Mason with Angie. Okay, you guys, Bad Bunny's ex-Piance, Cadliz de la Cruz Hernandez. What? She's getting her revenge. This is not the one that everybody likes, right? No, so this is Katleis.
Starting point is 01:01:04 Like, she was before La Cando and before Gabriela. Oh, of course. Like, they dated. back in 2011 to 2016, Bad Bunny and her were engaged. Oh, when he was little. Yeah, before he was launching his career, all that stuff, right?
Starting point is 01:01:16 That his ugliest. Yeah. Tava gordito. Tava more, like, Franchito. Yes, but if you guys remember, I talked about this last year that he was, she was suing him for $40 million
Starting point is 01:01:25 dollars. Sheesh. Because she, uh, Bat Bunny used her voice in those milias, he says a song and Un Verano Sin Thi.
Starting point is 01:01:32 This part. Bad Bonnie, baby, so because of this, that. She never gave him the clearance or anything like that to use it. Bad Buddy drops the album. And Bad Buddy's team actually did reach out to her, offered her $2,000, but she like, she never responded. Oh, hell no. That was generous. That was nice. No, it wasn't. For saying that? What do you mean saying what? Yeah. Then take it off.
Starting point is 01:01:57 Okay, yeah. I mean. Clearly it's good enough that you put it on your album. And more than ones, right? It's in a couple songs. It's in two songs. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But this one, it was big because it's A big album for him. Yeah, I think it was just a throwback to like that time. I think she... Yeah, but it's also personal because that's your ex. Like, it's not just a random girl you... No, ex-be honest.
Starting point is 01:02:16 Why couldn't he just get another girl to say exactly what she said? It's all. For $100. For $100. And then boom, sign this. That gives me every... Actually, bad money. I would have done it for free, fool?
Starting point is 01:02:26 50. 50 bucks. I think he was trying to give his fans that old feeling back. And I get it. Los Millas, he says 2016. that's when they dated, but it's like, yeah, maybe you shouldn't have done that. But yeah, in the lawsuit, she was saying like, oh, my God, all this exposure caused me feeling very worried, anguish, intimidated, overwhelmed, and anxious, right? What?
Starting point is 01:02:46 Yeah, and the lawsuit. That happened last year, and it was actually dropped by the court. But now the court is saying, uh-uh, uh-uh, we're reversing this, and she can actually go ahead and continue with the lawsuit. Oh, wow. Yeah, he might lose, like, those 40 mil if she wins. Nah, she's not going to get 40 million. No, if she's asking of a 40, she'll probably get one or two.
Starting point is 01:03:06 What? That's more than $2,000, isn't it? Yeah. I can see that happening. Understandable. Yeah, I can see it happening. It's like, don't date Bad Bunny unless you understand that you're probably going to end up on a song later.
Starting point is 01:03:19 Like, your actual vocals, Bad Bunny and Drake. Yeah. You will be used for content in the future. And then not for nothing. All of these things, they do have lost for them. The voices use and sampling and all of that. It all has its own little rules to go about it.
Starting point is 01:03:33 It's not. bass list like what she's saying but it's just like she's just trying to cash out so hard on that oh is it because we love bad buddy so much yes for sure yeah yeah but imagine you're the ex-girlfriend ex-fiance yeah ex-fiance
Starting point is 01:03:46 and this is using your voice oh and then everybody remembers this one at least me like everybody knows that part it's like very like you know who she is I swear to God letty if you try to sue me in 10 years because your voice is my DJ drop I'm be pissed
Starting point is 01:04:02 no because it's meant to be a DJ drop. I gave it to DJ. No, if you then use it on an album. It's the use. It's the use of it.
Starting point is 01:04:12 You're a content creator. They'll be like, hey, I want you to do a video, but also I'm going to pay you if I use it on this and I'm going to pay you if I use it in print and I'll pay you if I, all of that, there's literally rules to it. So I can't use your voice on my album?
Starting point is 01:04:26 You're not going to make an album. What album are you going to make? Don't worry about it. It's coming soon. Oh my God. All right. And see the way you're acting like that. Of course.
Starting point is 01:04:32 Give you my 40 mil, brother. No, he said, that's the album name. Don't worry about it. It's coming soon. Sam it's my mom and move. That make mon and move. Yes. And the World Cup, all of the World Cup magic and madness and emotion and roller coaster will be done this Sunday.
Starting point is 01:04:53 World Cup final is this Sunday. But the World Cup and FIFA is like, hey, we still can get some bread. How much more break can we get out of these people, okay? Besides all the jerseys that we sold, all the bets people place, the watch parties, alcohol, everything. Why not sell some grass? Now, you too can purchase a piece of the grass from the field in the World Cup Final. Now, the World Cup Final is happening over here in New Jersey. It's happening in the United States.
Starting point is 01:05:24 And it's going to be cut up, preserved, and sold to fans as a limited edition collectible. Collectible should mean that it never dies. but it's grass. It's real grass. It's freaking grass. FIFA is relentless. They would sell you the soccer players farts if they could at this point. Wow.
Starting point is 01:05:42 They might like bottle it up. It's like, okay, the field, really? 450? Like tickets weren't enough? Parking wasn't enough? No, it wasn't. They already sell you a dream.
Starting point is 01:05:52 I saw. Yeah, the dream they sold us for Mexico? That's priceless right there. Look, the entry level version, because there's different levels to the grass you can buy, is 450 bucks. That gets you a real piece of, the finals grass sealed inside a clear display cube plus a digital certificate of authenticity it's
Starting point is 01:06:08 like when you buy a star and it's like yeah it's your star um if you want more the nine hundred dollar version adds a gold etched commemorative ticket even if you didn't go for 900 bucks you have some grass and a little commemoration okay then they have the version that's a thousand and two hundred That comes with a mini replica of the official World Cup final matchball. That's actually pretty cool, though. Oh, my goodness. There's more. There's a top tier package.
Starting point is 01:06:38 $3,000 because you know what I got that to spare. It includes a larger piece of the field, a mini matchball, and a crystal cut glass World Cup trophy. That's crazy. My friends. Takas, I saw you some grass with 45 bucks. Again, who's to say it's the grass from there? Exactly. And it's going to die.
Starting point is 01:06:55 If it's grass, it's gonna die. Oh, hell no. 3.5 grams for 45 books. Hit me up. Not that kind of grass. And I'll give you a ticket of authenticity. It's real. Not the OG, not the OG.
Starting point is 01:07:10 Oh, that OG quizzles. Look, if you want to spend the money, if you got bread like that, can you please let me borrow some? But man, have you guys seen any FIFA merch or stuff? Because I went to CVS the other day. Yeah. And they have like a bunch of FIFA merch.
Starting point is 01:07:22 7-11 has a bunch of merch. Yeah. McDonald's. has a cup, like you get you, you buy the World Cup meal and it gives you like a commemorative cup. Yeah. There's going to be feeful merch all through our houses. Forever.
Starting point is 01:07:33 Yeah. My son already brought a cup home. Oh, really? I need soda in this cup only. Yes. And I'm just like, oh my God. You guys? I have a McDonald's cup from one of the McDonald's meals.
Starting point is 01:07:46 That's about it. I saw that stuff at 711. He said he wanted me to steal it. He's like, just take it. Really? At that point, please. Like, well, yeah, dude, $87 for a little flag. I'm like, that's great.
Starting point is 01:07:59 They have the foam hats, a foam FIFA hat or like the, what are the things called? The scarf. Just super unpractical stuff. Yeah. But it says people World Cup all over. Yeah. Please do it or else it's going to go to, I don't know, third world country.
Starting point is 01:08:11 Little kids are going to walk around with a fluffy hat or something. I know. They're going to walk around with Mexican World World Cup championship. That teacher. Oh, so sad. So I'll take that, though. I'll look you buy that. It happened.
Starting point is 01:08:25 That's history for me. Great stock. Hell of studios. What's 9 plus 10? Turn your life? Look at this studio. Oh, all right,
Starting point is 01:08:33 but if you're a first-time camper, I'm going to give you the five top places to go out there and camp with your families, right? According to California destinations. Here we go. Fyfer Big Suit State Park. Best overall. Big Sur? Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 01:08:48 Big Sue. Hold on. It's like the best for everything. Best for couples, families, and first-time big. Sude campers. Sir. Big sir. Oh, wow.
Starting point is 01:08:57 That's not what it says. Number two. Yosemite National Park. One of the most iconic camping destinations in the world. Best for Upper Pines, Northern Pines, and Lower Pines. Best for Buckin, this campers, photographers, and hikers. Yeah. Angie's always there, right?
Starting point is 01:09:11 Yeah. Is it expensive to camp there? Honestly, no, because we usually go to this little section. It's like 1.15 a night. But a lot, we're Mexican, so all 10 of us. You stay in the car? No, all 10 of us fit in that room. All the little room.
Starting point is 01:09:25 Yeah, hold on. It's a little shack. Oh, okay, okay, okay. Oh, it's a shack. Because what I'm thinking, I'm thinking, a tent outside. A ten outside. You got to pay for that.
Starting point is 01:09:32 Yeah, those are spaces. I think it's going to be cheaper for that. Yeah, but the section we stayed at, it's like $1.15 a night. It's like clamping. Yeah, those come with a bear malling, if you have anything. Number three is Anza Borrego Desert State Park. A desert?
Starting point is 01:09:47 Amazing spring flowers, when conditions are right. World-class stargazing, the International Dark Sky Park, and slot canyons and desert landscapes. Best for Winter Camping, Off Road Enthusiasts, and Astro Photography. Honestly, all of those sound far and expensive. That one's by Carlsbad. So right next to Carl's Bad. That's not that far as my logo land.
Starting point is 01:10:08 Yeah, number four is Calaveras Big Trees State Park. Home to Giant Sequoias over a thousand years old. I like sequoias. Quiet, shaded campgrounds and great hiking and creek access. Best for Families, Summer Camping. I need that creek. I need the river. I need that bottom.
Starting point is 01:10:24 Oh yeah, you need that little creek sign in the background. Oh, a little schlomskies. No. Have you camped concrete? Me? Oh, yeah, a little bit here and there. Where did you go camping? I can't remember.
Starting point is 01:10:38 Really? As a kid? As a kid anywhere. Oh, yeah, Clear Creek. Clear Creek. Clear Creek. Do you remember? Would you go now with your family?
Starting point is 01:10:45 It was more for kids than anything else. It was kind of like heavy weight. Oh, got you. It was like a kid camp. It was like a school thing. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah, we went to Catalina. It was like the fifth grade.
Starting point is 01:10:55 It was like the fifth grade camping in. Nice. And number five is Prairie Creek Redwood State. Campgrounds are amongst a tallest trees on earth. Roosevelt Elk wonder through the campgrounds close to the Fern Canyon, which inspires scenes from Jurassic Park, guys. Best known for wildlife viewing, Redwoods, and scenic photography. Yeah, again, this sounds like places. That's far.
Starting point is 01:11:16 Low key, I really feel like the places we people go is Paris. I don't know. I always feel like people, we're going to go to Paris. To the sand dunes and all that? I don't know. To camp out there? Camp out there. Where else do you see people going?
Starting point is 01:11:26 Because I've never heard them be like, hey, we're going to go to Big Surful. There's some camp. I've heard of Big Surve. Yeah, up towards, like Los Angeles. Crest? Yeah, Cres. Yeah, Cres up there. Like, there's like some pool areas.
Starting point is 01:11:37 Yeah. There's a Kern County. That's where I've gone camping. Kern County? Yes. Yes. Poundville? Super nice.
Starting point is 01:11:44 Lancaster? No, it's past Bakersfield. So it's like a four hour drive from here. Oh, nice. I remember when we were a little, we went to Lake Isabel. Do I know where that's at? No, I don't. But that's where you met your best friend.
Starting point is 01:11:57 Do you know? Yeah, I would go camping there. Lake Isabella, too. Where is it? It's kind of like cast stake area. Oh, cast steak area. Castaic area. Okay.
Starting point is 01:12:05 So that's what I feel like, well, when you're mentioning like the Redwoods and Yosef and I don't know, you're packing too much. I know it's not that far. I don't know that I've had the combo of like, yeah, you know, we're just going to pack up and go there. Oh, you go to the fools with the RVs.
Starting point is 01:12:18 Or you can also do what I've done. I literally set up the tent in my backyard and just right there. I've been wanting to do that. I've done that. I've done that. Just, you know, set up the tent in the backyard, get some, you know, some snacks and all that. Take the iPad put a little movie on.
Starting point is 01:12:30 And as soon as the kids fall asleep, I go inside. All right, I'm done. Y'all get eaten by the bugs. Sleep tight burritos. Would you do the camping, the actual tent and all of that? You, you. Now, Mr. Superstar. Yes.
Starting point is 01:12:46 Yes, but I would have to have a bathroom. I need to go to the bathroom. And I only done camping once where it was like one of those. little shacks and was like the only one and there was an outhouse I had never done the thing in the outhouse and so I woke up at 3 am
Starting point is 01:12:59 stomach was bubbling and I'm right there on my phone just little phone light on you know some kind of like the parks how the parks have the restaurants like that no this is a full-on like almost like Wild Wild Wild West
Starting point is 01:13:13 outhouse man out of wood yeah I don't know I didn't get this part in my career for this No, I'm not the camping type Do you don't like it at all? What about you, Greg? Yeah, I used to camp at Glamas all the time. So we went to Glamis.
Starting point is 01:13:28 It's like the dunes. Glamas. Oh, yeah, dunes. Yeah, so we had ATVs. So we'd go every single year ATV writing in Glamis and it's hot out there and you're on the dunes and you'd have to do the same thing. Use the little bucket.
Starting point is 01:13:39 Is RV considered camping? Like, RV? I guess it's its own kind. I think there's levels and when you think camp is the tent. Like that's kind of. Yeah, that's cool. But I will say, I know why Lake Isabella was probably not on any of those lists on like the top to go to.
