Yo, before the episode starts, leave a like, drop a comment, leave a review, and yes, subscribe so you don't miss any Brownback mornings.
When it was six, when it was Diaz, good morning to you.
If I don't know a fact about a millionaire, reportedly allegedly, he never cursed in his raps.
Never.
Yeah, he was like, really?
Like all the rappers got to get censored or radio edits.
He's like, no, I'm just never going to curse.
He also never rode dirty.
No.
Well, no, he did.
They were just trying to catch him dirty.
That was good.
That was good.
That was good.
I was like, wait, did he?
Be real from Cyprus Hill.
Where are you from, Esse?
Don't you know I'm local?
All right, if you see a crazy line outside of your local Krispy Cream donuts,
I'm going to tell you why.
It's the Girl Scouts.
What?
Yeah.
What do you mean?
The Relentless Girl Scouts.
The Relentless Girl Scouts.
You know the Girl Scout cookies?
It's the offseason right now.
Okay.
So if you are in a hunger pain for some thin mince or some lemon up,
I don't know these cookies.
Yeah.
Right?
I just bought like seven boxes, remember?
I just finished them.
Wow.
And you're like, I need some more.
I need to re-up.
Well, Krispikeen knows that.
And starting yesterday, they have their own version of a Krispreek cream donut and a Girl Scout
cookie mashed up together, brothers and sisters.
Taking the hustle away.
Isn't that wild?
So they have a trio of new donuts.
One is thin mince inspired.
So you're going to bite into the donut and you're going to have fresh breath.
Amazing.
Lemon Ups and coconut caramel donuts, all to be like the girls.
Scout cookies that they're inspired by.
Coconut caramel.
Ooh.
I know they give.
It's just like.
Diabetes.
Yes.
Yeah.
Diabetes in a bite.
Yeah.
We are the old people.
You got to get your blood drawn after.
That part.
I remember being young.
We like, dude, what is this?
What is this soda really going to do to me?
Like, it's just going to pass.
Like, but now I'm like, Dan, that's all I was going to do a lot to you.
Yeah.
That's how I feel when I look at these snacks.
Oh.
I'm like, oh, yeah.
Incredible.
But just loads of sugar.
Mm-hmm.
But another person.
and the younger us wouldn't care.
They could have chose better flavors, though.
Thin mint ones are cool with the other ones.
I'm like, yeah.
Caramel with coconut.
Coconut on a donut.
Okay, I was thinking about this because I was thinking I really like the peanut butter ones,
the ducydose.
But I'm like, ah, would that be too much on a donut?
No.
Like too thick on a donut?
Oh, I know what you mean.
What?
No, they were strategic with their things.
They wanted something light, like a thin mint, make you feel light.
Yeah, healthy.
A coconut, light.
And I've never had a mint and donut, so that's a great idea.
I try it.
I try it.
Local,
local Kriskrieg and sell out all of that.
And if not, just hit her up.
For the glaze?
Rare.
For the cream field, the red donation.
Okay, she's been.
Zool, come here?
Now what's going on?
Cheesemation with Angie.
Okay, you guys, when you guys think of future, the rapper, what do you guys think about?
My king.
Everything that I've lived for is because of future.
Mexico, all that stuff, right?
But apparently, now he's showing his soft side, you guys.
Because now at his age of 42, he wants to be in love.
He wants true love.
He uploaded like a combo of him and dinner, right?
On his IG story, and he's talking about how he, for real, wants to be a husband.
Listen.
I don't want a fake love.
True love is like having a love of life.
Everybody wants true love by how many people give a chance of experience.
You my true love, you're the person to make my heartbeat.
You do want to be right?
Hell yeah.
Do I want to be married to the wrong person?
No.
Do I want to be faithful to the wrong girl?
No. Every man that married the right woman, they progress.
So that's him saying he wants to fight true love.
You have the right one.
Yeah.
But don't get it twisted.
Okay?
Because this fool says, you know what?
It comes with his temptations.
If she'll see me out with a girl holding her hand, she's like, I still love you.
I love you when you're holding another hand.
It ain't right.
That's an unconditional love.
I'm still who I am.
Like, there no matter.
what you love me on how who I am but like I got temptations or not being in the back of the line
it's going to come with a lot of girls too I love it I love future was he like I had a conversation
in a tunnel or honestly I don't even know deal because he just uploaded it and it's like just him talking
and then at the end it's like showing him at dinner oh okay so it's like a dinner little dinner
combo yeah but he just started venting he wants to be a husband but it comes he was saying a lot of
nothing Angie and he was saying a lot of things like gets in girls pants and then
then it just leaves at the same time.
Yes, I want true love.
I want it with the right person.
Bro, you had Sierra.
And she gave you literally everything.
And then you're just like, no, I want another baby mama.
He just manipulated all of us like this.
It's great.
And it kind of worked because he's like, unconditional love.
That means you should love me even if I hold another girl's hands.
That's unconditional, right?
But he don't want to be faithful to the wrong one.
No.
No.
No.
Yeah, I know.
It still doesn't make sense.
Why would you ever say that?
No.
It made a lot of sense.
But it's just.
No, it made a lot of sense, but it's just not, like, reasonable.
Yeah, at all.
It's not at all. It's like.
It's guy math.
No, it is. It is. It is. It's future math.
It's rapper math.
Yep, exactly.
Before you start using it, you do not have the Mayback that he has.
You do not have the funny.
R&B guys are worse.
Jake.
Oh, yeah. Yeah.
Golly, those R&B guys.
They hate them because they speak lies.
By love.
and sleeping around with women, yuck.
You're okay.
Who does that?
If it's hip-hop, you know let these on.
There I go.
Rep sheet.
Let these set go.
Oh, Little Wayne.
Little Wayne.
What a time to be a Little Wayne fan.
Little Wayne recently canceled the show.
And, you know, people got upset because then they saw him at a white party.
Yeah.
A party that was like with hell a celebrity.
and he's there in the pictures, all in the videos.
But he wanted to let you know, like, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, if you're mad about my show,
I'm sick, you guys.
I'm sick.
Listen, listen, this is what he said.
Listen, I have epilepsy, and I have seizures, right?
Thank God I haven't had a seizure in years.
But seizures have triggers.
The trigger to my seizures are bad-ass migraines.
Had a badass migraine that night.
It was recommended that I don't get in the air.
Again, it was recommended that I don't get on the plane because they didn't want to even if they
having him out in the air.
So.
I didn't get on the plane, but I did get on the boat.
What?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah.
He does promise to make it up to Maine.
Yeah.
Do we believe him?
Which is kind of like you got to believe him.
Come on, man.
Come on, man.
You got to figure his epilepsy.
No.
Man, like you said, Lettie, it's a very hard time being a little Wayne fan.
This is the biggest little Wayne fan I know.
Vig loves the Wayne.
And when he asked to, you know, be on the Super.
Super Bowl and do all these things.
And then he just knows shows for random shows.
Goes to a party instead.
He's right there next to, you know, Spider-Man and Ice Spice while they make out.
Like, it's just, his priorities aren't straight.
Like, he's just like, oh, it's just Maine.
Who cares?
Yeah, don't get over it.
It's true.
Like, we can see through it.
Come on, Wayne.
Yeah.
Don't gaslight us.
Yeah.
Oh, that's what he was doing.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
No.
That's just an excuse.
Oh, no.
I went to a low Wayne concert.
He walked out in the middle.
In the middle of it.
What?
Because we didn't cheer his artist.
Oh, my God.
He said, oh, y'all don't deserve me.
And he just walked away.
We never came back.
So this is not like crazy.
Unlike him.
To think that he's not going to go to a main or, what is it?
Maine.
Maine.
Yeah, in Maine.
Yeah, Maine show.
I think the city's called Bangor or something.
Yeah.
Bangor.
Uh-uh.
All white.
He also mentioned his reported rumored fiancé, the 20th
three year old that everybody was like is this fool really gonna get married to this 23 year old
influencer yeah it was pretty wild she's because she took he took a photo with her and with and skip
bail list skip posted it like a little snitch and then he was like dude is that skip's youngest daughter
or is that little wayne's fiancee he came out to say hey i had to break up with her because of yawful
i would like to clear something up no i'm not engaged i had a beautiful thing going with an amazing
person, but due to the validity of the temperature of today's crazy world and culture,
I consider I don't want to be such a burden on such an amazing person.
What?
He's such a guest writer.
What did that mean?
Babe, babe, babe, babe, babe, they're going crazy.
I want this, I want better for you, babe.
Leave me.
Leave me, babe.
That's what he did to her.
Yeah.
The 23-year-old was very like, what?
What?
No, we're, I'm good.
Yeah, no, I'm fine.
I can do with the day.
No, no, no, no, no, no, no.
Due to the validity of everybody.
What validity?
I think he meant volatility.
Yeah.
I don't know.
Volatile.
He should have just doubled down on it and done a whole album called 23 and me.
Jesus.
That's a little wave fan right there.
Boom.
All right.
That's the sound of the police.
The petty police.
It's petty.
It's just petty.
I'm being petty.
Petty, petty girl.
Pretty and a pettiest.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I know.
This weekend was full of losses.
Enough.
Enough.
USA lost yesterday.
Oh, my God.
It was embarrassing.
That one was.
Jesus.
On Sunday.
Let's not talk about it.
On Sunday, Mexico lost.
And yesterday, Portugal also lost, okay?
Portugal.
Could it be that they just didn't perform as best as they could?
Could it be that maybe the other team was better?
That's one thing.
Or could it be outside things that have nothing to do with the soccer game that are why they lost?
That is where we're going today, all right?
Because it might be just because our guy, Ronaldo, was a little bit petty and that caused him the World Cup.
It could have been, yes, his fitness, the other team's fitness, soccer, all of that stats, offside, whatever the heck.
Yeah.
But it could also be because of Drake.
Which is the conspiracy theory I like.
All right, so a few days ago, apparently these fools met.
And then after that, Ronaldo was like, I am besties with Drizzi.
He goes online and he's.
does what they're calling the Where She At Emote, which is basically Pekable.
He's doing Pekaboo in his face.
Like hands in his face and hands away from his face, right?
Sounds like a familiar song that might have dropped like two years before that.
Good y'all.
Anyway.
Ooh.
By who by who?
Kda.
Okay.
Okay.
Anyway, anyway.
So this song is in reference to Aesop Rocky.
He says like, where's she at?
Like, Ha, I don't see here.
Where's your girl at?
Where's your baby, Mola.
She's not promoting yourself, right?
Ronaldo goes ahead and does that and then loses the next game.
could it be that he was being too fatty
too focused on other things
and not the game too focused on trying to be BFFs
with Drake who probably didn't even bet for him
on Cal sheet or wherever he bets out right now
and he lost the whole dang game
signed his jersey and everything
signed his jersey all over that
me and Drake are homies no bro no bro
and by the way keep your girl away
those 10 minutes could have been used on film study
for sure
every minute counts
yes yes and I know it's easier
to like ish on the other teams
when your team's up, but none of our teams are up.
They're not.
I know.
So, yeah, we're all feeling our pain.
I know.
Let's explain Drake.
Yeah. What?
We should.
It's what we do.
Everyone knows it's like, oh, you guys are drink haters.
Oh, get off his knob of Kendrig.
Oh, whatever.
Yeah.
I'm just glad my team is still in it.
Spain?
Yeah.
Oh, I like that you rep it right now.
All of a sudden.
Your country.
All of a sudden, bro.
You're a country.
With this weekend on Instagram.
You're right there with, with.
with the Mexicans.
Yeah.
All of a sudden, now he wants to claim his 70%.
Yeah.
I'm team Norway now.
Me too.
Holland, Roe.
My name is Throat, Frank, Vic.
What's your new team?
What's your new team?
Truthfully, was Colombia right now.
Colombia.
I like Colombia.
He did that.
He did that.
It was funny.
Because they make cocaine, brother.
Because they're a coke.
No, Greg.
Carol G, bro.
Come on, way.
Sophia Regara?
Nah.
Nah.
Nah.
Don't do that kids.
Don't do that kids.
Greg?
Spain.
Yeah, I'm going to Spain.
You too.
You too.
Yeah, they have baddies.
What?
What are you say?
They're good music with a baddies.
What is that?
What is?
What?
What?
Spain.
Mama, mama.
Mama, ma.
My.
Okay.
Rosalia.
Okay.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Norway, bro.
Yeah.
Wow.
Norway?
Holland.
That one is insane.
He's very scary.
Six, five, just kicking from like six feet above.
God!
And he makes it?
Yeah.
He's like crazy.
Just physically.
Insane.
Wow, man.
Congratulations, brother.
You won the lottery.
You did.
Well, his face is a little scary, not no lie.
He's very scary, but his physical ability is incredible.
It's insane.
He's like the Lebron of.
Ah.
Ah.
Oh, he's gone, not he.
Nothing.
Oh, God.
Bring him to the LAMC, parole.
Can we get him over here?
Can we hear here in 30 years once he's died out?
Exactly.
Once he's done.
Norway hasn't made him 20 years.
He's 25 years old, so he's like bringing Norway back, and they're all tall and have one lazy.
He's like a real-life Viking.
They all just run that.
He's like, like it's Game of Thrones or something.
Yeah, he just blows past people like, like it's football, and he breaks a tackle.
Like, they're trying to stop him.
me just boom.
Shout out,
hallow, man.
We're going for you.
He's tired.
He's tired.
Halle.
All right.
That was Petty Police.
Let's get into some scrolling.
Scrolling with the homies.
Oh, God.
Mexico.
Dude, why would you do that?
Mexico ended up, you know, breaking everybody's heart this weekend.
Losing to England.
Really bad.
Really sad.
Really sad.
It wasn't really bad.
It was not really bad.
No.
Yesterday's name was really bad.
Yeah, the USA game was really fast.
Four one was wild.
Yeah, yeah.
No, it still hurt.
It still hurt the same.
It hurts.
It hurts.
It hurts worse.
They ended up losing three to two to England.
Yeah.
Nobody liked it, but everybody is liking this postgame interview that happened by one of the players named Harry Kane.
All right.
He was doing a postgame interview, but he was so into the game that he ended up losing his voice and he sounds hilarious while he is talking.
Listen to this.
My voice is gone.
We had to fight.
We had to find something.
Yeah, I've just been singing there.
I can't really talk.
It was one of those days.
The ref gave a lot against us.
In the end, it didn't matter.
So, yeah, I'm happy.
Unbelievable support.
Speechless.
I can't even talk, so.
I hate you, King.
He was saying it was a tough fight, though.
Shut up, I don't care.
You should have bent me then.
I don't care, dude.
I don't care.
I hate you more than I hate Snape, and I hate Snape.
Oh, man.
Yeah, I can't even watch Harry Potter on the plane.
I was like, no, I'm not doing this.
I'm not supporting that country.
I hate everything Harry, Harry, Harry Potter, Harry King, Harry Styles, everything.
Anyway, yeah, yeah, I love that he lost his voice.
He lost his voice, but he didn't lose the game, though.
He still won.
Okay, bro, there's no need.
Why are you trying to rub it in?
There's no need, dude.
It's because he bleak straight hair.
You're not one of them, dude.
You're not.
You're not one of them.
You're not one of them.
They don't claim you.
I'm not going for them either.
I'm not going to go for them.
Okay.
Yeah.
San Ana was still turning up for Mexico's loss.
Yeah.
They were on the news.
Yeah.
They were.
I was there.
They didn't care if they want our loss.
They still turned up.
It was just chaos.
Really?
Yeah.
I saw you.
We were in the news.
You're on the news?
No, I was not in the news.
I was not in the news.
And her croc flip-flops.
I was on the news.
But San Ana was in the news because people were like.
Writing.
Yeah, pretty much.
I was literally there.
Well, not celebrating being sad, yeah.
They took over the street still no matter what.
They're like, we're going to lose, but we're still going to celebrate.
Like, what's wrong with you?
Yeah, no, that was everywhere.
That was in Mexico City.
I was in Times Square.
It was still a turn-up.
Like, everybody was still, like, honestly, we're going to turn up regardless.
Yeah.
It just depends on what song we're going to play.
If we win, El Reyes.
If we lose, drago de margo or liquor.
Like, it's like, it's one way or the other.
But we're still going to turn up.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
So, all right.
Well, it's sad.
Anyway, bye.
Whatever.
All right.
All right.
That was scrolling.
That was scrolling.
Let's get into some weather.
Concrete is about to give us the best weather ever.
He's going to tell us what's happening.
Yes?
Yeah.
Okay.
And now the weather.
Hell the dog.
With concrete storm.
Brito Zinn is going down for the weather Tuesday, July 7th.
First, we head over to the city of West Covina.
I'm still sad about Mexico like I burnt the tortillas.
89 degrees and 63 degrees at night.
Now we smash over to the homies in Fullerton.
Mimi at the Ross
and then
85 degrees
and 66 degrees
at night
next we slide to the city
of Pico Rivera
where you can find
rodeo baddies
Lauella and
96 degrees
and 63 degrees
at night
and lastly
we skip over
to the city of Carson
What?
I can feel
up
I feel like
I feel like
I'm like
I wanted to swallow
but I just have it
right there man
Just swallow it
please
La
there we're going
There you go.
Oh, it's like, oh my God, it's crazy right now.
Carson?
Last thing we skipped over to the city of Carson.
We're food scuba to Tawa and stay locked in.
79 degrees and 62 degrees.
It's Tuesday.
We're getting back into it.
Plus, I have massive diarrhea, guys.
So just bear with me.
Okay.
Bear with me.
There's a lot going on.
There's going to be a lot going on.
We're going to be heat advisory in the next few days, guys.
Triple digits and high deserts.
But don't worry because the humidity won't be here until the end of the week.
when a little bit of the rain comes in, guys.
So it's going to be cool.
And warm.
And warm at the same time, guys.
It's so hot.
It's going to continue to be hot and get hotter.
There's humidity between my nalgas right now.
I'll tell you right.
What's the weather down there?
Yeah.
Oh, dude, humidity with charcos everywhere.
Let me see.
Puddles.
Puddles.
Puddles.
It's a flash flood warning.
Yes.
100% chance of what?
Of splatters, dog.
Ew.
Salpikadas right now, dog.
It's disgusting.
West Corina, 89 and 63 degrees.
Fullerton, 85 and 63 degrees at night.
Biko Rivera, 86 and 63 degrees at night.
And Carson, 79 and 62 degrees at night.
It's your boy Concord.
And Ramberg, Ramberg, Marlins, or Pound 60s.
Let's go.
Let's go.
All right, check this out, homie.
You need a homeie or need some help.
We need your help.
We need a line.
I mean, phone line.
We got your fault.
The homie help line.
This is a sad one, letty.
But we got to get two.
We got to help our listener.
Her name is Kay.
She hit us up and said,
Hey, brown bag, my name is Kay.
I could really use some advice from other parents.
Okay.
She said,
My daughter turned 14 on May 2nd,
and just 11 days later on May 13th, 20206,
we unexpectedly lost her dad.
Since then, she's graduated eighth grade
and made it through her first father's day without him.
I know she's hurting,
even when she doesn't say it.
As his only child,
she helped plan his funeral,
wrote his eulogy and stood in front of everyone to honor her dad.
Everyone saw how strong she was, but all I saw was my little girl having to say goodbye way too soon.
We've been taking things one day at a time.
I let her talk about him, cry when she needs to, or just sit in silence.
We've been taking little trips and going to concerts just to make new memories together.
The hardest thing she carries is that she slept through his last phone call.
She didn't know it would be the last time he'd ever call, and she still struggles with those
what ifs. I've suggested therapy, but she's not ready yet. Right now, she just wants me close,
and I've been respecting that. The truth is, I'm grieving too. Her father and I met when he was
16 and I was 15, and we were together until 2021. I'm a first time mom trying to be strong for my
daughter while figuring out my own loss. I don't have much support myself, and I'm scared
what this grief will do to her when she's alone with their thoughts. I don't know when it's time
to bring in more help or when I just need to keep her being safe.
How do I help my daughter with the guilt of missing the call?
Oh, from her dad.
From her dad.
Yeah, I've dealt with that once.
Thank you.
Yeah, like my homie was out like the night before.
And he was sending me Snapchat's like, oh, pull up, pull up, pull up, pull up.
And I was just like, nah, like I got work, I can't.
And then the next morning, my brother never calls me.
My brother calls me.
He's like, hey, he passed.
the way. I was like, what are you talking about? He's like,
I was just Snapchatting him, like,
literally probably like four hours ago. Right.
And I was like, are you serious? He's like, dude, I was just talking to him.
He's like, no, he passed away on his motorcycle.
Oh, man. Oh, man.
What in the, like, ever since then,
I don't know why. I deleted my Snapchat because I was just like, I can't look
at it. Like, his name would be there. And like,
it still said, like, literally four hours ago.
Yeah. And for a while, I was just like, what if I had
answered that for, like, what if I had gone?
What if I had gone?
Yeah.
Maybe I would have changed things.
Like maybe I took them home or like something like that.
So it's just, it's eerie like it to me.
Oh, for sure.
Yeah.
And that'll hang over your head.
Oh, yeah.
So imagine your child like a child of a parent that called and they didn't get the call that's going to hang over the little one's head, you know?
Yeah.
Similar to Greg, I had a situation like that where this artist that was like a good friend of mine, he hit me up on Instagram.
And it was like a random, I feel like it was a Sunday.
day and he just hit me up like, hey, like, I want to get in the studio. And we had a studio at the time.
And then I saw it. And I was like, oh, man, I'm like out, like just, I was like, I think I was
on like a date or something. And I was like, I'll get, I'll get back to him. And then it turns out,
like three hours later, he passed away. He had like a, it was like a domestic situation with
his baby mama. And like, I guess they got into it and she took him out. And I think he was just trying to
get away, you know, like trying to, oh, let me just go somewhere, let me go somewhere positive,
let me think, you know, of let me get out of this environment and yeah, yeah, it's tough.
Like for a while, I would look at like back at it and just like, what if I showed up?
Like, what if I went to part, like, to the party? Maybe like it would have changed.
Yeah.
I think that might happen everywhere. You know, as someone's listening right now, they probably
have their own moment of, dang, I missed the call or even just like, maybe even intentionally
ignoring it, you know, or just like, oh, I'll talk to them later or things of that nature,
because death doesn't come with the, hey, let's come when it's convenient to you.
You know, death doesn't come where it's like, hey, let everything be in order and you have
everything set out for you. It always comes unexpectedly, even if you know it's come,
even if someone's sick or anything, like it always comes with the dangs, you know?
And that's something, definitely part of the grieving process. Her being so young and that being
her pubs, that that's going to be a while.
But I do think that Kay's doing an incredible job from what she's telling us, you know.
She's doing an amazing job.
She's actually on the line right now.
Kay, good morning.
Hi, Kay.
Hi, Kay.
Thank you so much for reaching out to us.
How's your daughter doing right now?
She's good or good.
She's right here right next to me.
We're both listening in.
Wow.
Yeah.
All right. Tell us the story.
Tell us, I guess, what you guys have been through these past few, like, recently.
Nothing really.
We were living in Arizona, but we're back home in Utah with, you know, to be with family.
Because it was just her and I, so now we're back home, like, in Utah with my family.
So just kind of getting it day by day and trying to, you know, make it,
I don't know.
I don't know.
I'm sorry.
No.
It's fine.
And I see you talk about her strength and kind of what she goes through.
Can you tell me, I guess, about the call specifically?
Well, I believe he had called her, like late night, early mornings, and she was asleep during the time.
And she didn't know that he had called until she had woke up that very morning.
And she tried to call him back and there wasn't an answer.
And a few hours later, she received a phone call from his mom
and basically stated that her dad had passed away in his sleep.
Oh, wow.
Yeah, that's tough.
Now, yeah, there's a saying in Spanish,
that those mortals are despisans.
And they usually end up either calling, saying goodbye.
They see all the people that were in their life.
And they have these emotional goodbyes, you know, like, you know, they, they hug a little stronger at the end.
You know, they have a few more words that they would normally, you know what I'm saying?
And maybe that phone call, as much as it is that she missed it, maybe that was his goodbye.
Yeah.
And she can hold somehow, some way, hold on to that call forever, even though she didn't answer the phone call to some degree, you know.
I think there's still something that says that he has.
at least tried to reach out and say bye or say I love you or whatever the case may be, you know.
Yeah.
I know it's easier said than them.
Yeah.
No, I like that point, Con, because it is like he did reach out, you know, in his final, maybe he didn't know, but maybe he didn't feel so great or something.
But like he, she was on his mind until the very end.
Absolutely.
It is important to remember.
Yeah.
And I think that's a big takeaway that she should and yourself as mom that, that, you know,
is a big take of way like you said that he was thinking about her he did want to reach out and
there was he was trying to create some type of closure you know and even though you may not
might not have heard the words or may not have you know heard his voice I think that phone call
still says a lot you know now he was thinking about her okay I have a question for you uh you guys
were not together it seems because it says like he fell asleep or he passed into sleep and
at moms or how is your relationship I'm sorry um
The phone call is like really static and I can't really hear.
I just wanted to know what your relationship was with him.
I'm sure that it's tough on you too.
You mentioned about your own grieving.
Yeah, so we had been together or well, we got to give him.
I've known him since I was 15 and he was 16.
And then I became a young teen mom.
and, you know, we basically grew up together.
We were both teen parents together.
We raised our daughter together.
Just until, you know, 2021 things kind of went, like, our separate ways, I guess.
Things just weren't going the way that we wanted it.
So we thought it was, you know, kind of best to just, you know, part of the way.
ways and still be
there for our daughter
and that's what we did for her
and even
then
like we were
like we were co-parenting and stuff
but
it's been like so many like so many
years like
well not so many years but like
it was
I'm sorry but like
I'm just super grateful that his family
like included me and my daughter into like planning like his funeral and all of that.
Yeah, you mentioned that she was part of the, she gave her eulogy.
She was very much a part of that.
And that's part of the grieving process too, you know, honoring the person that's not there
anymore.
Some of that heals more than anything else can, you know, being able to give them the send-off,
you know, that you feel is best for them.
now you're kind of dealing with all of that process has been done now you're just sitting with the loss
you know you're sitting with the loss even silently because she might be your priority and then
she's also dealing with some kind of guilt because she didn't answer the call you know all of that is the
is is the remnants of of the passing you know yeah so let's let's let's let's let's let's
give a little bit more insight you know we had a few stories in here too I would
love to hear how you personally may have gotten or gotten through some kind of guilt over someone
that's passed away. Was it that you missed a call? Was it that maybe they came at your door and you
weren't there? Was it that you sent them away or like you're like, I don't want to talk to you,
right? And like, I guess how do you deal with these kinds of guilt once somebody passes away?
And even if you're a younger, if you're a young, if you're a kid and you lost your parent, you know,
We can only say so much as adults that have had lost,
but there's people that have lost their parents, unfortunately, very young.
And you belong to, like, no one else can know that experience,
but someone else that's gone through it at that age.
So if you'd like to call in and chime in Helpe Kay and her daughter,
let's go to Josue in Riverside.
Josue, good morning.
Good morning.
Josei.
Good morning.
You have a similar guilt that follows you.
Yes.
Talk to me.
So in 2007, I was in Iraq.
By this time, this was my fourth appointment to Iraq.
I was attached to a unit who was the first time going.
So we had a lot of Marines that were new to combat.
And we had this one particular Marine who was very motivated, very, you know, wanted to do things.
And I was slated to go on the convoy the following day.
And she was, I want to go, I want to go.
I want to get my feet wet.
You know, just typical Marines who started to go out there for the first time.
Well, I was adamant about it at first because it was the first time.
And it's a lot when you go on the convoy, you're the radio operator.
And she was adamant.
So eventually I went to my leadership and I asked him, hey, you know, she wants to go.
She, her name was, uh, Katanova.
And, um, he was like, well, what do you think?
You think she's ready.
I'm like, well, she's motivated.
She knows the call signs.
I think she's ready to go.
So we made the switch.
The next day goes.
deadly for the convoy.
I go out to do what I do for that day.
I come back and the same leadership that I spoke to later on that day,
he goes, he puts me to the side.
He goes, she's gone.
And I knew what he meant by that, but I wasn't willing to accept what he meant by that.
And, yeah, she was gone.
She instantly went straight to my room and I just kind of lost it for a little bit
because one, she's gone and two, the idea.
of that that was me.
That was supposed to be me, you know,
and that really messed me up for years.
Yeah, I bet that guilt of everything.
Number one, thank you so much for your service.
And having that many tours of duty,
I know that that wasn't easy.
That alone has definite effects on your mental state,
your well-being, all of that.
Now to have someone pass and know, like,
hey, it was supposed to be me that went.
She went.
I loki encouraged her to go.
and then she ends up passing away
that's a lot to deal with bro
oh yeah it was a lot too
you know and it was big because
you know she was so big
on wanting to go to make a name for herself
you know and I thought she was ready to go you know
and she
we did a rundown before she went and
you know she was solid and
of course it's not a fun of her own
and you know she got hit with an IED
and it was her and the other Marines
that lost her left that day
and you know of course you go through that guilt
of you know
just a lot of course of your mind and that hangs with you for many many many many years it took me
it took me ducking it up it took me going to the VA finally and asking for help you know and to finally
talk about it because I never talked about it I just held it in and and you know it ate at me for
such a long time you know and you know sometimes you're like I'll deal with it I'll deal with it
but we may not know the tools too so you go into the VA and saying like hey I need help I know
that was a big step but it was really important I'm sure I'm sure you're grateful of that
about that?
Oh, no, for sure, for sure.
It took a long time, but eventually, you know, I just, I just did it.
And even then when I first learned, it was hard to even talk about it, you know, it was still,
I just sat there.
Yeah.
You know, not to laugh at it, but I just sat there and I was like, I don't even know
where to start, you know, and it just actually has a simple question and it just kind of
just got the ball rolling, you know?
Man, thank you so much for telling us your story.
And I know that that type of insight is definitely the insight that, that Kay and her daughter
need.
It's the people that have gone through the same thing, unfortunately,
but that can provide the answers and solutions.
Yes, of course.
Thanks, bro.
Thank you.
Thank you.
All right.
We're talking about the guilt that comes with grief of should I have answered the phone?
Should I have been there?
What happened if I did?
I can't believe I didn't.
Because of that nature.
We got Sophia in South L.A.
Good morning, Sophia.
Hi, good morning.
Sophia.
You have something similar that happened with you,
a phone call, correct?
Yeah.
So my best friend, she was actually really sick for like a whole week.
She thought she had the flu.
And I kept telling her like, hey, I think you have COVID.
Go get tested.
Go tested.
She didn't want to eventually.
She just got worse and worse.
And I remember it was a Sunday morning.
And she had called me, but I kind of was like half asleep.
And I was like, I'll just call her back later when I wake up.
She probably wants to go grab breakfast or something.
When I woke up later, she didn't answer anymore.
Later to come find out that she was actually calling me
because she couldn't breathe anymore, she did have COVID.
She wanted a ride to the hospital.
She ended up getting a ride from someone out,
but they took her to a hospital that is not very good.
We always call it to death hospital
because everyone we know that goes there comes out dead.
Dang.
So, yeah, I feel like if I had answered,
I could have taken her somewhere better,
and she could still be here.
Oh, Sophia.
That's a lot to put on yourself, Sophia.
Yeah.
I know.
And she has a daughter.
She was about 14 at the time.
So I kind of took responsibility to be there for her daughter and, you know,
just tried to be there as a mother figure as much as I can.
I'm sorry.
I'm going to cry.
You're fine, Sophia.
But until this day, but I'm not until this day,
but I've had a lot of dreams where she calls me and I missed a call.
Oh.
It like replays.
Oh, man.
And then one day I was just like,
God, please, please.
I just want to know she's okay.
And then I'm doing good by raising her daughter and giving her daughter good advice.
And I prayed on it or prayed on it.
And one day that dream, I answered her call.
She told me she was good.
and I'm doing good by her daughter.
Wow.
That's closure.
Wow.
That must have helped.
That must have helped you.
It did a lot, but still I just wish I answered that phone call.
And one thing I do recommend is therapy 100%.
And, you know, if, I'm sorry, I forgot her name.
She should take her daughter to therapy.
And these things don't get fixed right away.
Therapy is not like, okay, I'm going to go and it's going to get better.
what it's the next it's a long process um i have family members who have lost their husbands and
their kids are in therapy it's it's a long haul and it's not going to be better from when it's the
next you just have to have faith and just keep powering through it because that's the only thing
i can do right now to just power through it thank you sophia yes and this is exactly coming from someone
that you're doing those same things that you've you've mentioned sophia all of i love to you man you're
you're amazing and i know that
little girl loves you so much.
Thank you. I know.
Thank you.
I got the chills when she said she answered the call.
I know.
Yeah.
And her dream?
Yeah.
And to hear the exact words that she needed.
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
All right.
Let's go to Brenda.
Brenda and Silmar.
We're talking about the guilt that comes with grief, Brenda,
where our friend Kay hit us up because her daughter lost her dad.
And it was, he felt,
He fell asleep, I believe, and never woke up.
And before that, he had called the daughter.
The daughter was asleep at the time, so she missed the call.
And has been feeling really guilty about that.
Kay feels guilty, too, because she's just like, I'm going through the grief myself,
and I just feel super sad about my daughter and everything that's happening.
And would love some insight from people that have unfortunately also gone through it.
So, Brenda, we're going to go to you, KPWRFM, HD1, Los Angeles.
It's Paro 106.
Brenda.
Hi.
Hi.
Hi.
Brenda, talk to us.
What's going on with, or what went on with you?
So I'm actually currently going through the same exact thing as she is.
I was with my son's father since I was 14 years old.
We were teen parents together.
I was 14.
He was 16.
We lost them three months ago, to be exact.
My son is just turned 15, so he died a week before our son's 15th birthday.
So it was just hard as is.
instead of planning my son's birthday party, we were planning his funeral arrangements.
It's been very difficult.
I do recommend therapy.
We go to therapy.
We were very involved as well.
We co-parents together.
It's been hard.
His family involved with him and everything, I will forever be grateful to that.
But definitely, he missed a call as well.
I miss a call as well.
And it's been a lot.
Yeah. And it's happening right now to you too, huh Brenda.
Like so it's not even, it's more of a, hey, same, same over here.
Do you see him, do you see him kind of go through it?
Do you see him in those alone moments?
Do you think he guilt himself about what happened, about not answering the call?
Yes, I believe he does.
He's just very, he's trying to be hard.
There's times where he gets to him.
I just try to stay close.
I try to do the best I can't I go to therapy myself I he goes to therapy you could see you know
he has his good days he has his bad days I mean he's always been with his dad he grew up with his dad
um again it happened a week before his birthday as well so I feel like that alone it's already like a big
impact of course and then the next like next year's birthday it's going to be reliving that and it's
gonna it's gonna happen for many years to come so like even preparing for those things you know
And then look, you're the mom, but you're dealing with the grief too.
That's what Kay mentioned to us as well.
Yeah.
It's really hard to grieve your own grief and then to help your child breathe
because, you know, we all grieve different.
And all you could do is be there and do your best.
Honestly, just, you know, sometimes they need space.
Sometimes they do need to, like, put them and hug them and, you know,
conversate with them.
I just try to, you know, talk about all the positive stuff.
like everything his dad did do when he was here.
And, you know, those memories he has to cherish them.
It was his birthday a week and a half ago and we all went to the cemetery with his family.
We celebrated together.
We got like a little music for him.
We made food together.
And we kind of just, you know, rely on each other and be different each other.
You know, some days are easier than others.
But it's definitely a progress.
And I could recommend.
I mean, again, I'm going to.
exactly the same and I'm dealing with it my own way but I just think again one day at a time
and you'll know what to do as a date because every day's going to be different and it is going to be
hard especially for the kids when we go to the cemetery and my son's always like I'm too young to be
like watering my dad's grave like to come see my dad at his grave you know and he is and sad and it was
forever to be sad but we got to just you know focus
out what we are able to do how we are still able to be present for them and for our loved ones
that are not here anymore.
You're a great mom.
And that's tough because he's right about everything and he has you and I know that that's your focus.
You're doing an incredible job.
Thank you.
Of course.
Thank you for calling Brenda.
Thank you, Brenda.
Oh, my gosh.
Wow, that's so crazy.
He's hard.
It's the homie hell player now, Power 106, number one for hip hop and recita.
Shout us to all the Piritas and Recita.
Yes, no, that was random, but...
It's like, we going to the same exact thing, like the same...
That happens.
That happens every day, and it doesn't choose or wait until it's convenient for anyone.
Yeah, the week before the birthday thing, too.
It's tough.
It's tough because I feel like for the rest of time, it's going to be a tough week.
Yeah, you know, it's already tough enough to, you know, sometimes, like, sometimes, like,
When people have losses, they say birthdays and holidays are the worst, you know.
And then so for this all ready to be like a week apart, he's always going to remember that.
We're talking about the guilt that comes with grief.
If you've missed a call, if you weren't able to be there in a moment that a loved one may have needed you
that's hung over your head because they ended up passing away.
That's kind of what's happening with Kay and her daughter and a call that they had missed from
her daughter's father before you passed away.
Yes,
I hope I have your name right.
Yes,
is this you from Whittier?
Hello?
Yes, can you hear me?
Yes.
Can you hear me?
Yeah.
Yes.
Okay.
Nice.
Yes.
All right.
Hi.
Good morning.
Good morning.
Good morning.
Yes, Lee.
I'm reading the notes right here on your story,
and it's really tough to even start.
I know.
But what happened to you?
So my daughter was diagnosed with cancer at 10 years old.
I'm sorry.
And she fought for two years.
Her biggest wish was to be a big sister.
So I got pregnant during her treatment.
And unfortunately, when she got her worst, I was giving birth and I had a C-section and I couldn't be with her in the hospital.
And after I gave birth, she didn't speak anymore.
She couldn't move.
She was on a respirator.
when I got to the hospital.
So I carry that deal with me always because I couldn't be there with her.
I just want to send a big hug to baby girl.
And I want to tell her that, you know, this process comes in waves.
You know, some days are worse than others.
But I want her to know that her dad is.
watching her he's with her at all all the time and if she can do any everything in his memory
just be strong for him because I know for a fact he was strong for her um yeah that's that's my guilt
and I carry that if I wouldn't have been pregnant you know no no no no
No, no, no, no, no, no, you know.
Yes, Ellie, what's your daughter's name?
Sophia.
Sophia.
Do you feel, do you, and I know she passed away during, it was, it must have been a tough moment.
And I bet you, if you could heal yourself in a second to be right there, you could.
You know, we also got to give ourselves grace.
There's no way you could have seen a C-section coming or you're recuperating happening so much longer.
And I know, I know if you had the choice.
so you'd be right there bedside.
That doesn't take away the guilt at all.
Yeah.
And did you have a boy or a girl?
I had a boy.
I had a boy.
Apart to my boy, I had my daughter, another girl, Angelou, she was four.
My daughter got to enjoy her for eight months.
Thankfully, it was the happiest eight months of her life.
and then I had my son
Yeah
You know how you mentioned
To Kay's daughter
That her dad is watching her dad is with her
Do you feel Sophia too?
I do
Tell me about that
I do and it's very hard to actually go
To the cemetery
Because
I have a very hard time accepting
That she's there
because I feel her with me at all times.
I feel like she's with me.
She's being a big sister.
Yeah.
I see her through my son.
My son looks so much like her.
His name is Adeo.
And he looks so much like her.
He makes like gestures that just look like her.
And mom knows.
tell you can sense it you can feel it and that's why i i totally get you i can't you can't be at the at
the at the cemetery because she's not here she's with me yeah yeah yes yes exactly i send a big hug
to you right back i know you you're sending that to kay but oh man do you deserve it you do
and she's there and your kids are there and i know that it's tough no one ever prepares you
for your child to be sick in a moment as a parent you would want that for yourself
Damme to give me give me whatever they have I'll take it I know I know that's you I know that was your feeling
Yeah, I got up off you know so the C-section
A week after and I was you know I was in the hospital everybody was telling me to go home social workers
You know I had to be with my son thankfully I had my husband
And he stayed home with you know my baby boy, but
You know I it really
was telling me to go home i i just couldn't no no you were where you needed to be yeah i healed in the
hospital with her while she was leaving yeah i'm so sorry yes ellie i send you a big hug and i love
i love to sophia too i know yeah thank you so much of course thank you oh my goodness
i need a shot that's sad it's it is it's tough
Tough.
Tough.
Okay.
I think it's, I think more than anything, my job right now is to allow you, you, the space to remember any loved one that may have passed and you have these, these feelings.
So if you have that, we're taking those calls.
We got Blanca on the line from South L.A.
What, good morning, Blanca.
Good morning.
Blanca.
Hi, Blanca.
We're helping, we're helping, Kay.
you know more helping each other and and helping others at the same time so k first and foremost i want
to thank you i know you're like telling us your story and and this is turned into something
very different but all of our love to you and i guess when when you talk about your pain to people
you you start to see their pain and it and it somehow brings healing and closure too so i hope i hope
this helps even somewhat blanca what what happened with you my dad was in the hospital he lived in
Texas and he I was calling him on the way home from work on Monday and he had a company so he said
you have that they ama past and I said okay and I got home I got busy I didn't he didn't call me back
I didn't call him back the next year I didn't call him back but it was set back in my head like I have to
call my dad has to call my dad back um Wednesday morning my sister calls me at 6 o'clock in the morning
and says my dad had a stroke he's not going to make it they've already brought him back a few times
So she flies out to Texas, and I take the latest flight because, you know, I have to take my kids to my moms and ask for permission from work.
And the whole time, she's calling us, and she's like, I'm going to put him on the phone.
He can't tell him.
He's already incubated by the time.
He has a tube in his mouth.
So I'm telling him, you know, plapi, wait a me.
I get there.
And the whole time, I'm like, oh, my God, I didn't call him back.
I never called him back.
I never called them back and then I get to the hospital.
As soon as we get to the hospital, they were already giving them CPR again.
So I literally got there right.
The doctor was like, that's it.
Like, you guys have to let them go.
Like, this is hurting them.
So my sister's like, okay, that's it.
We stopped the CPR.
Everybody walked out of the room and I just ran to him and hugged him.
and he took his last bread.
And I was just like, I'm sorry.
I'm sorry.
I didn't call him back.
And I live with that.
Like, why didn't I call him?
Why can I stop the five minutes of my day?
Just call him back, even if he didn't call, you know?
I know, Blanca.
Did this just happen?
Without him was his father's day.
This happened in March of this year.
But he's prepared for you.
Yeah, I can hear him.
trying to talk when I was telling him to wait for me.
He waited for you.
And even though that call was missed, you had a moment with him, you know?
Te'estero.
That doesn't take away the guilt.
That doesn't, in no way, shape, or form takes the guilt.
But I'm sure if he could, if he could, he did that to comfort you, you know?
Yeah.
Thank you so much for calling.
Thank you.
What was your dad's name?
What is your dad?
Lucas.
Yes.
Thank you so much for calling.
I want you to say their name.
I want you, the people, the world to know about them.
I think sometimes when we lose people, we're just like,
damn, I wish the world knew them.
Yeah.
Like, if only I could have the chance to, like, you know,
memorialize them somehow.
Let's go to Steve and Cerritos.
Good morning, Stephen.
Hello.
Stephen
Stephen.
Good morning.
Stephen, we're talking about the guilt that comes with somebody that has passed away
and whether you did enough or, you know, Juan Gabriel says like I, in Amoraterno,
he says something like, I know I did all I could.
I'm translating it.
But I knew I wish I could have done more.
Yeah.
You know, and I think some of that, that's in one of the most iconic songs about losing someone in Spanish.
It's there for a reason, you know, because we do feel that when someone's passed away.
And, Stephen, you have your own story.
Can you tell us about the person in your life?
Yeah, the person in my life is my dad.
His name is Ronald, but everyone calls him Ronnie.
My dad died in 2008 when I was 19 years old.
So that weekend of December 13, because I remember everything, like what I was doing,
everything until the until when he died so on December 13th I decided because like I'm my dad
came over to my house because I'm staying with with my mom and he showed up and he was going to
hang out at my house for you know a couple hours I believe there was like a fight going on I
don't know what spider was like a boxing match um but I decided to go out and help a
DJ a party, a house party at the time with a friend of mine,
instead of staying home, you know, just to hang out with my dad,
because I didn't know what it was going to happen or what it was, like, you know, like, yeah.
You were just you.
You, how old were you at the time?
19.
Yeah, you were a 19 year old.
Yeah, you want to go to.
Yeah.
Yeah, so, yeah, so three days later on Tuesday, because I still remember that day,
that's December 16th, I still remember.
remember that day to the dot what I was doing.
I left early in the morning that day because I was going to go pay a phone bill at the time.
And I went to go stop, you know, the McDonald's, I know, to get something to eat.
And next thing, no, I take out my phone.
I have a miss call, a text message, and a voicemail from my mom telling me to call me.
I was like, okay.
So I called her back.
She's like, what are you doing?
I'm like, I'm here at a McDonald's,
and I'm going to eat something before I go,
I'm going to go pay my phone bill.
She goes, stay at that McDonald's,
your stepdad's going to go pick you up.
I was like, dang,
I didn't tell her I was going,
he's probably going to go take me to go pay my phone bill
and then go back home.
He picks me up and he starts driving me.
And I'm looking, I'm like, in my head,
thinking, okay, why am I going to my sister?
Because my sister was taking care of my dad at the time.
As soon as we parked at my sister's apartment, I left.
I was the first one out of the car.
And I went walking and I seen my sister and my mom outside in blankets drinking coffee.
And I was like, what's going on?
My mom is the one that told me that my dad passed away.
And I almost, oh, one, I did broke down.
I broke down crying, but two, I almost just ran and never wanted to look around, but something stopped me and went back.
So I went back, and then I sat in a recliner at my sister's house, and I just sit there, and I was, like, frozen.
Like, I did not blink.
I did not move.
I wasn't hungry.
I wasn't thirsty.
I was just staring at the ground until finally there was, like, my mom's, like, got a hold of me.
She goes, you want to see him because he's still here.
And I was like, yes, I do want to see him.
She's going to be okay, but he's going to look.
He's asleep, but he's actually gone.
Come to find out my sister's trying to wake him up because my dad's been a diabetic for years
and he had his left leg amputated twice, one above the ankle and one above the knee.
And they come to find out like on either December 15th late at night or early morning,
December 16th.
He passed away at those times.
We don't know when, but we're officially calling it December 16th.
And paramedics noticed that he had vomit already out of his mouth.
And that's when they declared him dead right there.
And the whole time, I was like, I got to do something to remember him my life.
So that same day, when he died, I actually got a tattoo of his name, the year he was born
and the year that he died on my arm.
And on my Spotify, I created a playlist of all of his favorite music
and one of his songs that he loved the most
because I know you mentioned about, you know,
everyone's playing different songs to tell with the grief.
His favorite song of all time is smooth by Santana.
So every time I hear that sometimes, I laugh and then I cry at the same time.
Yeah.
because that's one of his favorite songs to go to all the time.
Yeah.
And I hear it almost anytime I play it.
So like every time I get pissed off or I get mad at somebody or anything, I just play in his playlist and it kind of calms me down.
Good.
You found a way to connect with him, but also to calm yourself too.
Yeah, to cope.
To cope, yeah.
Thanks, Stephen.
Yes.
And then there's almost every time I go, I go visit his grave.
But almost all the time.
Good.
Thank you, Stephen.
Thank you for calling.
Thank you for telling us your story, too.
It's the guilt that comes with grief of not having been there,
not of answering the call or choosing to be out versus being with said person
and then they end up leaving you and that stays with you forever.
But I guess it's finding that, like finding whatever that is in your way to still connect, you know?
And if you also understand or you are of the belief that they never really go away,
There's somewhere surrounding you around you.
It helps because it can allow the relationship to continue.
I think we all grief like the sudden end of a relationship, of a bond.
But it continues, you know?
And it can help you in that sense.
All right, that's where we're going to wrap when we help.
Blaine.
Thank you so much to everybody that called.
Thank you to everybody that listened.
We got more Brownback on the way.
Angelica, you are up, buddy.
You have been chosen.
to play for these Ice Cube tickets.
Will Angie get it or not?
Okay, so Miguel and Marietta is going for you, Angie.
And Miguel!
Miguel says you got it.
Albert and Azusa, though, is going against you, Angie.
Either way, someone will win these tickets to see Ice Cube and Mike Epps at the Long Beach Amphitheater, okay?
Tickets are on so now, Ticketmaster.com, but we have them for free for you.
One of you.
Okay, you guys do yay, yeah, yeah, one more time.
I'm just kicking you out.
Okay, sorry.
like five yeas right now.
I almost did it after you said it.
I knew it.
Adre de.
Adre de.
All right.
Angie, I'm gonna play a song with Ice Cube.
Okay.
You are going to finish the lyrics once the song stops, okay?
Okay, okay.
All right, here you go, Angie.
You got this, you got this.
Remember, last time you did this, you liked Chicana Rap.
I did.
I did.
I got into it.
Okay, let's go with Ice Cube.
Ain't numb?
Eh?
I don't know it.
I would have known.
known this one. Well, they didn't choose
you fool. All right, go. You do it.
Do it then, Vic.
Ain't nothing going on but a bomb-ass rap song
on all night long.
With the bomb-bom rap song, hitting
all night long. Just like me
on the black and white ivory.
Getting six on a tealitle.
You don't want to see a G.
Hey, someone won.
Albury and Azusa. You're going to go see.
You're going to go see.
There you go.
Kick him out.
Kick him out.
Kick him out.
Kick him out.
Oh, you guys, he's one of us.
He's going to us.
Check him out.
Let's go see Ice Q, brother.
Congratulations.
Thank you so much.
I appreciate it.
Appreciate it.
I appreciate it.
I appreciate it.
Angie, here's some cheese made.
Zool would come here?
Now what's going on?
Cheezmation with Angie.
Okay.
Senos casola.
Taylor Swift, you guys.
Taylor Swift.
and Travis Kelsey tied the knot this weekend
out in New York City
Taylor Kells
You think she's going to take it on?
I don't think so.
She's too big of a poster
Taylor Swift.
No.
Taylor K.
TK.
That'd be her little initials.
Travis Swift.
Yeah.
He should do that.
It's going to happen.
Net worth of skyrocketed.
Dude, so they got married
at the Madison Square Garden
out there in New York.
Dude, 1,200 people were invited.
Wow.
And as fun as it sounds,
all that stuff, right?
Some people actually got fired.
Employees from the Madison Square Garden
actually got fired because they broke their NDAs
violating the agreements.
So the employees had to sign NDAs
for the wedding?
Yes.
Not saying anything.
So what they snitch?
Well, they didn't really say exactly
what they snitched on.
What?
But they're saying...
You would think so, right?
But they're saying that apparently,
like, it was like they kept the
the wedding so private
that even like law enforcement cops
had their phones confiscated once entering the venue.
It was the least secret
wedding I've ever heard.
That's what I was saying.
Yeah.
Where it was going to be?
She pulled up with all her bridesmaids
to the Knicks game.
Yeah.
Yeah, it was like pre-planned.
Scoping out the spot.
Yeah, they were saying like every single person
that walked into the venue
got their phones taken away.
Okay.
And then nobody was able to enter the venue
prior to the wedding.
Hmm.
So they were being very, very strict saying like nobody can see anything, things like that.
So I guess like at the wedding there was no, nobody had their phone.
Yeah, well, they just.
That's what they're saying.
I'm fine with that.
I'm fine with that.
I'm fine with that.
Yeah.
Still wasn't secret.
No, that's what I was thinking too because I'm like, okay, you try to keep it super secret.
But then once you got married, we saw all these billboards everywhere.
You should fire AT&T.
They put up that they just married and it was like TNT.
That's not AT&T.
Who did it?
That was supposedly like them.
Yeah, that's what it was supposedly, like, that's how we found out that they got married.
It's just T&T, yeah.
Okay.
Fire yourself.
We're not keeping it so weird.
Yeah, it sucks because it's like a good occasion, happy for them.
But like, it's like, damn, all these people have to lose their job.
Like, you know, they're like blue.
It just sounds like a distraction.
Like, really all got married at Madison Square Garden?
I don't see it.
I don't know.
That's the distraction?
I thought that was weird.
I just thought maybe it was like a fake wedding and the real wedding's over here.
somewhere.
You know what I'm saying?
Oh, no, they really did that.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I don't know.
I feel bad for the people that lost their jobs, though.
Yeah.
The employees.
Well, I mean, it's like you, you knew, like, you signed an NDA.
You shouldn't be.
No, I get that part.
But it's also like, why are you going to find me for snitching?
These full snitched.
Like, everybody snitched.
Like, everyone knew.
Yeah.
TMZ was the one dropping everything.
What did they write on?
They haven't said exactly what they dropped on.
Exactly.
Then their NDA is still valid.
Yeah, because I haven't heard anything.
So Lette, can you tell us what happened at the wedding?
I was not there.
You were in New York.
You were in New York.
At Madison Square Garden.
No, I was not there.
Times Square.
You got invited, huh?
You didn't tell us.
But the advertisers weren't real.
The calumari.
If it's hip-hop, you know Letty's on there I go.
Rep sheet.
Letty set go.
Okay.
Hey.
A ver.
The West Coast.
It might be back on top of things.
I'm just going to say this right now.
Do we like?
the allegations we're getting,
I don't say.
But if we're going to be at the front of the wave of something,
why not let it be the future,
aka AI?
Now, we've all heard the Phoenix Flexing song, right?
The Rubbers record that everyone's like,
hey, is this real?
Is this true?
And I can't sleep through the night.
Yeah.
Right?
Oh, yeah.
Love it.
Is this AI or not?
I don't know.
I just know that when he performs it,
sounds a little bit different.
I saw your sinking ships.
Hey.
Let me stand in the ball.
All right. It's good. It's vibes, right?
Good. Well, he's not alone now. There is another West Coast rapper that is
coincidentally, his homie and photographed in the studio with Phoenix Flex and could have
possibly used the same situation to come up with a new song. I'm talking about Taiga.
Or as his alter ego is called Starface, not Scarface, Starface. And here is his latest
AI. No, it's not AI. I don't know. Whatever the heck it is. It's the new sound of the West Coast
apparently listen to this
I'm not mad at it
my love
you took it yeah you racks
you're spending it
you took it all
and now you're stranded
yeah you strand it yeah you strand
I'm not mad at it dog
I love it I love it
I love it I love the vibes
I love the melodies I love the
production behind it
you know it's something fresh
I love it
Who put these rappers on to alt baddies?
That's what it is.
What is all baddies?
Like an alternative batty that listens to the Smith and Morrissey and stuff like that.
That's what's happening.
They're trying to tap into that.
I think of like, is it, I don't want to get it.
Is it Eddie Murphy?
My girl.
Yeah, that is.
Party all the time.
Party all the time.
Party all the time.
I guess the only issue is, is this really them or is it AI?
Because that is an issue people are taking offense to.
Or is it just like, hey, I'm using the newest feature.
We had auto tune.
Y'all didn't say nothing at T-Pay.
that's true let us have our own tuning we always get discredited as the west coast though it's always
something with us like it's like oh okay you know back in the day they were using too many samples
and then the east coast used samples right after you know what i'm saying it's like i don't know
the history of who we use samples first yeah no it's like like dray with with the chronic it was a lot
of samples and stuff like that and it was like okay and then you hear juicy and then it's like
the same thing right and it's like we're always going to be discredited even though we're we're ahead of the
we're on the way.
What if it is AI?
We already learned how to use it better
than everybody else then.
So what?
Get over it.
Is Silicon Valley is over here.
Yeah.
I don't know.
I don't like being discredited.
The music sounds good.
It's fun.
It's summertime.
And it's fun.
Yeah.
What's New York giving us?
The same thing.
The same thing we heard 30 years ago.
Damn.
Let's go.
West Coast.
I also feel like if it was another region using the AI,
I would be like, ugh.
Oh, yeah.
I would be hating on them.
What the hell?
What the hell is that?
What are you doing?
That's the Terminator, Skynet.
Like if two chains was using AI, we'd be like, on them.
Call the cops.
Yeah.
We're right away.
What hell no.
But it's the West Coast using AI.
Let us do it.
You guys are in technology.
You guys are old.
You guys are still rapping about.
And what if it's not a.
Because Phoenix is doubling down.
This is not, Phoenix himself is not AI.
Tyga's going to say, this is my real singing voice.
Yeah.
He's been British.
Yeah, a long time ago.
I met him.
Oh, Christ.
Yeah.
I first met him.
He had a British accent.
He was with 217.
Phoenix's song sounds like him
I could actually picture him singing it
That sounds like Tiger
What?
It does
You're wrecked
You spin it took my love
You took it
Yeah
It doesn't
I'm gonna tell you right now
These fools are using air
That's not their voice
And until they
People are like
Release the stems
Like
Yeah
Perform at life
West Coast AI
Tell AI to release
Just give me the stems
To this
Just give me the stems to this
Yeah
Maybe the single layer.
Yeah, dude, layer it up for me, brother, please.
The rest of the, the world is upset at us for now not just one artist using it, two artists using it.
It's going to be the new mustard sound is the AI sound.
People hate when they didn't do it first.
Exactly.
Exactly my point.
Okay.
West Coast.
West Coast, AI.
Beach playing this stuff.
It does sound good.
I'm not saying this is out good.
But I also think that there should be some kind of disclosure of like, hey, yeah, this isn't really me.
Charlie,
Chale.
Chale.
Not Phoenix talking around like,
eh, that's my brain.
Nah, Charlie,
gatekeep all the way, homie.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Our AI got chucks on and Dickie Sue.
Facts.
Okay.
All right.
Well, we don't care what you guys think of us.
No.
Everybody else.
You should have been on AI ahead of time.
Exactly.
All right.
All right.
And.
Explosive.
Diarrhea is happening all over the world.
It is happening.
It is happening.
And you need to know it is a whole thing, right?
It is a whole thing.
It's happening right here in our very.
very own studio.
Explosive diarrhea.
I've had explosive diarrhea for the last six days.
Oh my God,
I was the week.
You're so skinny.
He's good at him.
What's happened?
It's bad.
It's just bad diarrhea, bro.
Like, at least eight times a day.
Eight?
Oh, boom.
Eight times a day.
Well, it's not just happening to concrete.
It's happening all over the world.
Health officials are investigating a major outbreak of cyclospora.
A microscopic parasite that's making people seriously sick.
All right, there's been an increase of over 400% of cases.
The parasite usually spreads through contaminated fresh produce or contaminated water.
Think of things like cilantro, basil, lettuce, berries, green onions.
That's all I eat.
That weren't properly cleaned.
You're right.
Salads.
All healthy?
Salads.
Like, if you don't wash them, these are things that really need to be washed.
if you don't wash them, then yes, they can carry
this bacteria. And then you can get
the explosive. Oh, hold on.
Explosin. And I'm not saying this happened in Mexico,
but...
I think this is your second time having it.
You had it a couple weeks ago, too.
It's because when I went to Mexico last week to go watch the game,
I know.
I ate a ton of tacos. I mean, I've done.
With cilantro, with everything.
Green onion.
Extra green onion.
Everything.
And as soon as I got back to the Americas,
Because, oh, man, my butthos been saying, yeah.
Explosive.
Symptoms usually show up about a week after you're exposed and include.
Oh, damn.
Include watery, sometimes explosive diarrhea, stomach cramps, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, and loss of appetite.
You stay eating.
I haven't had the vomiting, but I've had the nausea, explosive liquidy of soul.
Oh, dude, no.
Like that?
Yeah, it's like a water hose.
It's usually not life-threatening, but it can become serious, you know, for young children,
older adults like concrete, and people with weakened immune systems because of dehydration.
That's me.
That's how you need to keep drinking your Gatorade.
I've been drinking Gatorade, water, hydration, the, you know, the Gatorian one that's just straight for that.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
But, oh, yeah, I'm tired.
All you got to do, though, because they have antibiotics for that once it's diagnosed.
I already taking it, you know?
I pick up my prescription at 12, but after I get out of here.
Good, good, good, good.
So you let a doctor check you out?
Oh, yeah, that spread it wide that's night.
That's nice.
The tricky part is that it doesn't show up on a standard stool test, so you can just,
doctors have to specifically test for this.
They had me, they had me do the little stool thing, and they were like, she gave me this little box.
I was like, I'm going to fill that thing up right away, lady.
With spray, with brown spray.
It did.
It did.
He did.
He did.
He did a salpickade her in the baño.
It's a confetti in there.
No, honestly, dude, because she was like, you can grab the tube and you're going to get, I was like, I'm not doing that.
And she was like, I'll do it.
And I was like, you know what, God bless your heart.
You let her do that?
It's like, yeah, it's not my job.
My job was to squirt it out.
And that's what I did.
And then so I sat there guarding the bathroom because I didn't want nobody to go in there and see.
In the toilet bowl.
You're talking about in the toilet bowl.
No.
She had to take it out?
They gave you, no, they gave you like a little plastic.
hat like a little upside down
you know like a little like it's like a hat like a witch's hat no no I don't know like an in
out hat it looks like a witch no no no it's like a plastic thing that has like a little
bowl like that they wear a hot talk on a stick like a magician's hat what kind of
like a sorcerer's hat like a little makeshift toilet plastic oh but that's not a hat
it looks like a hat it's like a pan if you flip it over picture picture uh picture uh
picture yeah it's like a little hat right it's not a hat and then so you have to put
that on the toilet and then you have to sit down
And she was like going there.
Okay.
And then once you're done, grab this little vial and scoop it up.
I was like, I'm not doing that part.
She's like, fine, I'll do it.
Oh, my.
So you think about it, dude, I'm scared.
I'm going to the bathroom.
And every second that is scoring out, I'm like, I'm going to fill this thing up.
Yeah.
I'm going to fill this thing up.
Yeah, and then I grabbed it and then it spilled a little bit.
Because you were holding it.
Because you were holding this one.
Oh.
It spilled a little bit on my hand.
And then I'm looking around and then I look around and I'm like, oh my God, how did you get on the wall?
You're kidding.
I'm dead serious.
I'm dead serious.
It's that bad?
It's that bad.
What?
Okay, so did they test you have the sick?
No, they said I had travelers diarrhea.
I doubt it.
That's the same thing, basically.
But the stool sample doesn't come, the stool sample results doesn't come back for like another two, three days.
Oh, so you don't know that you have it or not?
I very could we'll have parasites right now.
You might have it.
And it doesn't show up on like the standard.
one. They have to do specific for that one.
But yeah.
Be careful my friends.
You want to share my burrito?
Did you?
I shared my burrito with you.
Wash your fruits and vegetables.
Wash your fruits and vegetables.
And wash your ass,
too.
That's been.
And wash your hands concrete.
I have been.
Wash your cilantro because you do not want to have the.
That's going around.
Cilandro in your ano.
I'm pretty sure this morning in the restroom, I heard him come in like, oh my God.
Oh, he did.
And he was like, that wasn't me.
I was like, bro, that was you.
No, that wasn't me.
I'm pretty sure.
It sounded like you.
Oh, was it?
Okay.
All right.
I've been holding it this whole time.
No, it's dripping out of your pants.
I have shorts on just in case.
I know.
You never went short.
I just go like this.
Just get out.
Get out.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Get out.
Great start.
Hell of studious.
What's nine plus 10?
Do you like?
Look at this studious.
Fool.
All right, but he goes, are you desperate to get married?
Well, this scientific fool says he found the perfect age.
Love,
After 30 isn't about rushing to meet our arbitrary milestones.
People under after 30 said that they're fully developed their frontal cortex.
So is the age after 30?
After 30.
After 30.
Leading to stronger patterns of recognition and shift the surface level chemistry.
So people don't want to just, you know, like I think after 30 you know what you want.
Yeah.
You know who you are.
All right.
Greg, who are you?
I am Greg and I'm not going to get married because I'm 29.
So I'm not 30 yet.
You're there, dog.
Almost.
You're there.
You're 29 in like, what, nine months technically.
I'm 30 in a month.
Yeah.
30 in my, oh, last month of your 20.
It says singles over 30 increasingly trade chaotic, which is like, oh, I love the toxica.
They don't want that anymore after 30.
They want the girl that's calm, cool, collective has a job, can take care of them so the guy can just sit at home and be a husband.
Stay at home?
Yeah.
Guys, don't you want to be a kept guy every now and then?
Yeah.
I want to be kept, dog.
go out and get it fellow yeah let her go out and get the bacon though you stay at home watch the kids
no no watch the kid yeah be in the kitchen kind of let them do what they want you know what you
sit there and watch reruns so of what morey oh i love mori what vicar what you're over 30
oh marriage yeah yeah no i'm just i'm just waiting to hit the powerball honestly that's the main
thing that's my strategy data from the university of chicago notes that couples who marry after the age of 30
boasts higher marital stability, so less divorce rates, guys.
Oh.
I don't know, because I got married super young, so I don't know.
What age are you?
Roughly 25, 25.
Okay, that's a good age.
Yeah.
Well, for, you know, Mexican standards, I was old.
Yeah.
You had a wedding at 25?
Yeah.
Damn.
When did you get married, letty?
And when I was 30, 31.
Oh.
Oh, yeah.
You were exactly what the study says.
Yeah, I am proof of that study.
You're approved of that study.
No divorcee.
Coming up in studies that don't need to be a study,
the older you are, the better you're...
The better you're married.
The whiteer you are.
Thank you for that, brother, man.
Thank you.
Muches gruezzias.
Hello, studios.
Look at this studios house food.
Shoot the J.
Shoot it.
Playball!
All right, you guys.
Former Lakers player, Rui Hachamora,
is gone from the Lakers.
Who?
Former.
What do you mean?
mean former.
Yes, he's staying in LA, but he's a former Laker.
Rui?
Yes.
Rui.
Rui.
Number 28, he signed with our ugly little sister, the Clippers, you guys.
The Japper Black dude.
Yes.
Yeah, he really loved Kobe and Gigi.
He put his number two for Gigi 8 for Kobe.
Yeah.
Wow.
He's good, too.
He did not want to leave L.A., obviously, right?
He stayed in L.A.
He did not want to leave the Lakers.
He was kind of forced to.
He even took a pay cut.
Last year he was making $17 million.
This year he's only making $14.
Only?
Awful.
Yeah, but Annie's going to the Clippers.
But he's gone and supposedly he's being replaced by this new guy that we got.
His name is Sandro Mamush Covelli.
I'm going to just call him McAvelli.
Yeah, because I think of his death.
But yeah, so supposedly everybody's like, like the Lakers, the Lakers like brass is like,
no, no, no, trust me.
This guy's way better.
Sandro, whatever.
And I'm just like, dude, he was a killer in the playoffs.
Believe the Scouts.
Yeah, I know, right?
50% though from three is that like we all saw that.
He was literally one of the best three-point shooters in the league in the playoffs.
Oh, yeah, you're losing us.
Yeah, he was.
He was.
But it's Rui.
I know.
And, like, he was a fan favorite, obviously, you know what I'm saying?
But he's gone.
He's with the Clippers now.
Wow.
Is the Clippers team good?
Are they about to have like a Lobcity on their hands?
No, no.
They have the most random assortment of players.
Like, you wouldn't even recognize.
We don't?
We don't.
I mean, they trade her Kauai.
Kauai is not even on the team anymore.
Oh, damn.
Oh, wow.
Yeah, they have Brandon Ingram, former Laker.
Now they have Rui Hachmore, former Laker.
So it's going to be a weird team.
It's a younger team.
It is like a youth movement or whatever.
But, yeah, Rui is gone and I'm really sad about it personally.
Have you guys heard how like the Lakers, I guess it's an all white squad now?
Yeah, I'm fine with that.
You're okay with that?
Snowtime Lakers.
Snow time.
Really?
Yeah.
Oh, my gosh.
I'm fine with that.
I'm happy with that.
Who is it?
It's.
Austin Reeves
Yeah
Oscar
Kessler
He's the new center
This guy
Sandra Mamushkeveli
Whatever
He's white
He's like a Serbian
Or I don't know
What it is
I'm just
It's gonna bring us
The crowd
That I don't know
That we
That's right
White is right
And then
For I town
Not yours
Yes
All those three Lakers
Man
As long as they win
Let's go
I don't know
Have you ever
Have you ever seen
An all white team
win though
What
Seriously
Yeah the Celtics
dude
In the 60s?
No, the 80s.
In the 80s?
Oh, come on.
You saw the win?
I wasn't personally there.
But, yeah, the Celtics were in a whole white team.
They had one black dude.
That's how the Lakers are looking right now.
No way.
Colin Sexton.
I don't know.
That's a player?
Yeah, yeah.
We just signed him too.
Yeah.
Didn't we just sign the Mexican American fool for 10 days and he looks very
Huarito?
He does look.
Yeah, everything's white, but he's Latino too.
So, yeah.
It's a lot.
No, we'll see.
We'll see what happens.
Who cares?
Let's go all.
But they're not winning yet.
They're going to win.
Okay, okay.
They're going to win.
That's the plan.
Privilege always wins.
All right.
That was sports.
I'm Rose Crensvick for Brownback Mornings on Power 106.
