Starting point is 00:00:00 Best of Brown bag. That's the sound of the police. The petty police. You're petty. You're just petty. I'm being petty. Petty, petty girl. Pretty and a pettiest.
Starting point is 00:00:10 Hey. Pretty pettiest. All right. First and foremost, we've got to send our love out to Tracy Morgan, comedian, S&L star, movie star. I was asking the crew, where do they remember him from? And I got a lot of different answers. I suppose you.
Starting point is 00:00:23 The longest yard. The longest yard. Nice. Whatever, backfricle. He says that. Whatever. Beckfrikel. He showed up in all of our lives one day and never left.
Starting point is 00:00:33 Facts. He was in First Sunday, too, the movie that he... Greg, where you know, Tracy Morgan. Right, you just know him, right? That's what I was saying. Like, I feel like he's one of those people he just know, and he's... And he's there. He's there.
Starting point is 00:00:46 He's always been there. He's very present in our life. Yeah, I know Tracy Morgan from Tracy Morgan. There you go. There you go. Well, someone remembers Tracy Morgan from his childhood and got put up on... Like on this video, it's going viral in the pettiest way. Because apparently when Tracy Morgan was younger, he had a bully.
Starting point is 00:01:08 That bully is now unhoused and try to get some bread from Tracy Morgan. Outside what seems to be a Knicks game because Tracy has his full like Knicks set up and he loves going to games and stuff. Yes. Yeah. And he was recently there. But here is how it went down. What you're going to hear is the guy trying to get some change from Tracy. And Tracy being like, no, I remember how you.
Starting point is 00:01:30 used to treat me. Check this out. Don't talk to me like I owe you something. I say that. Can I get something, please? No. When we was younger. Yeah, but I'm homeless, boy.
Starting point is 00:01:43 What I got to do with me? I can't do that. Heartless. Not wrong. He's not wrong. He's not wrong. But I guess the question is like how, like when they go low, you go high, like he's the person not house anymore is your chance.
Starting point is 00:02:01 God put you together is to see if you would be like, hey, here's a dollar. You treated me bad. I'm not going to do the same. What? You treated me bad? I'm not giving you a way. I'm saying, like, that's the backlash he's getting online because, like, how could you not have an house person
Starting point is 00:02:15 and things of that nature? And it's for him, it's like, that unhouse person was mean to me when we're little. Yeah. Hey, that's typical too. That could have been traumatic for him. He also just could have, you know, always doubted him and told him, like,
Starting point is 00:02:27 you're never going to make it or whatever the case is. And now he's just like, bro, now you want to like come back around and reap the benefits of my life. Yeah. Screw you. I had an ex-bully. Like, I had a bully in school. I remember her vividly. She, like, even lived very close to me.
Starting point is 00:02:42 So she was also my bully after school. She was like, no, what tricked me out was she was really nice when we were like in the neighborhood. At school, she was mean to me. Oh. So it was weird. And I like, I didn't get it. Yeah. It was really, it was weird.
Starting point is 00:02:55 It was mean. It was everything. Yeah. But like life goes on, school ends, whatever. Yeah. One day I'm at Red Cup of any place. That's a Sunday. Sunday day party.
Starting point is 00:03:06 Yeah. If you were popping, you were there. Like, it was just a fun time. Look at it. I'm gonna like, yeah. It was up. It was up. And I remember, I had, like, they had me in a booth sitting.
Starting point is 00:03:15 And then the girl came that was giving the shots like in a, like in a, kind of like a syringe. Oh, okay. Like they're like jello shots in a syringe. Like it's like fun. Like a server. Yeah, a server. And she turns around to me and it's her. It's my bully from the block and from elementary school.
Starting point is 00:03:34 And she's like, her face look shocked. Yeah. She knew who I was. I knew who she was. And I smirked. And she offered me and I was like, no, thank you. Betta paia. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:44 Yes. But then, look, I felt so good. And I got like retribute. But should I have bought one of those things? No. No. Anyway, her face was good. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:03:56 Yeah. You're already in a section. You're like, get out of my section. Right. Bring the real call girls. It was crazy. Yeah. So I was like, anybody else believes?
Starting point is 00:04:06 Yeah, it happens to me all the time. Like when I was a DJ in high school, like none of, like the girls would talk to me when I would DJ, right? But then when I wouldn't DJ, they're like, oh, who's this dude? But now when they go to the clubs, they're like, hey, Greg. And I'm like, now you stay outside. You're staying over there. You're going to make sure they stay outside because I feel like you would be like, oh, my God, they want me now. No, no, no.
Starting point is 00:04:22 Especially the girls in high school are mean to me. So you remember. Yeah, I remember. 100% and I'm like nope you're staying over there you're not in my section you like it when they mean to you no this was like bully yeah this was like when I was like an emo kid okay what would they say because now right now you just sound like a little hater no I swear I when I would DJ they're like hey grey blah blah blah right
Starting point is 00:04:39 and then when I wouldn't be DJing and I would see them they would just not even say hi they just wanted to be around you to take the photo behind the booth and all that yeah and now they're like oh can you get me into nope not getting into any class now I'm hot they all on me yeah let's go all right it's petty but it's understandable. It's like really petty on on Tracy Morgan. This fool is unhoused.
Starting point is 00:05:01 Yeah, but that's his karma. It's not my fault. He said that. I didn't put you there. Yeah. Go Tracy. Okay. We got our guy Gregory C.
Starting point is 00:05:14 Greg, first talk to me. I want to bring up this lady because we got to update about her. Yes. It's the girl that's been going crazy for all of these jingles. This is what she did. Dr. Pepper Bay, is good. And then Dr. Pepper put her up on their own commercial.
Starting point is 00:05:30 Dr. Pepper, baby, it's good and nice. Do you. Dr. Pepper, baby, is good and nice. That's a commercial that ran during the college stuff. What is the National Championship game? Where Indiana won? Oh, that's in Mendoza. Yes, and there's a viral picture that went around of her
Starting point is 00:05:47 that everybody is saying that she made $2 million from this Dr. Pepper commercial. It's a lot. So everybody was like $2 million. I want to try this myself. and see if I can get rich. Somebody made a Chick-fil-A commercial, and this is how it sounds. It's not about the cow you eat, but about the chickens you meet. Come on down the chick-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-fil-A.
Starting point is 00:06:08 That was cool. I knew this is going to happen. So terrible. They're going to see how much money she's getting. And then they're going to try it. Yeah, for sure. Somebody even tried one for Walmart. Oh, my gosh.
Starting point is 00:06:18 Shopping on a budget, but you need good food. Come on down to Walmart. You do. That's too much like the original. That's too much like the original. She stole my whole flow. In hip-hop, that's guerrilla black. You can't be too much like Biggie.
Starting point is 00:06:36 You cannot sound so much. I think the best one that I've heard is this Mountain Dew one. Mountain Dew is for you. That was good. I love that. I like that one. That jingle voted for this. What do you mean?
Starting point is 00:06:53 No, rub. You have a. think, but Mountain Dew is for you. I said the jingle. I said the jingle. Okay, honestly,
Starting point is 00:07:03 the way he's, he's sounding like, it sounds like he's in the toilet trying to push. It's like, Mountain Dew! Yeah. No, thank you.
Starting point is 00:07:11 I don't know. It's effective. I want to Baja Blast right now. No, you want to push in the toilet right now. No. I don't have to push. But at the end of the day,
Starting point is 00:07:20 the Dr. Pepper Girl came out and said that she did not make $2 million. Why is everyone? everyone saying I got a $2 million check, I've never received any money in my account. At all. That's worse. What? Nope.
Starting point is 00:07:33 Not one dollar from. Hold on. What? Wait, but if I received a $2 million check, I would say the same thing. I too would say I never received a dime. Exactly. Yeah. What you guys are talking about?
Starting point is 00:07:47 What check? Or whichever one has the sparkles in the ceiling. Roseroys. There'll be signs, but I'll say I didn't get anything. I don't know what you're talking about. This has been me. Wow, baby girl. Do your jingle.
Starting point is 00:07:58 Let's get rich. For what company? The one, the chicken one that you did. Do one for Power 106. Oh. Power 106, baby. You're just doing the same thing. You're copying her appropriator.
Starting point is 00:08:12 All right. Greg. Power 106, baby. You're doing the same thing. Power 106. We like hot chicks. Do do do. Brown bag mornings.
Starting point is 00:08:31 We make you ho. Yeah. That's good. What? Concrete, please. Please help us. Okay, concrete's going to be with the weather after this. And now the weather.
Starting point is 00:08:45 Hell the dog. With concrete storm. Perito is going down for the weather Wednesday, January 28th. First, we're off to the city of Valverde. Let's give back this week. give it to the poor. Call yourself Malverde. 68 and 43 an ice.
Starting point is 00:09:01 Malverde, you don't know who it is? Robin Hood? Yeah. He's like regarded as the Robin Hood. He gave him to the race. Rob? Oh, Robin Hood's good. No, Robin Hood's good.
Starting point is 00:09:11 I know, but he robbed. Stole from the ridge gave to the poor. If that's what you got to do to do a little good. And that's what you got to do. Next we slide to the city of Moorp. Next we slide to the city of Moorp. If you want to get out dramatico, we're going to call you Ozark. 71 and 46 at night
Starting point is 00:09:27 That was fantastic Now we do the cha-cha All the way to Santa Monica I'm gonna light y'all up Like it's Hanukkah You know Hanukkah you light 12 candles
Starting point is 00:09:42 Exactly 67 and 50 at night Lastly we dipped the drip The drip to the city of Vernon Last night my girl had my toes curling Can't bruh What? Can you stop doing the weather for Vernon Nobody lives
Starting point is 00:09:55 Vernon needs the weather. Nobody lives in Vernon. No one lives in Vernon. Literally nobody lives in Vernon. Wow. You did the trick or three hundred and six families. You did the trick or tree weather for the people in Vernon. Tell that 360 families that live there, okay?
Starting point is 00:10:09 You're so dumb. It's all the security guards that sleep overnight. Exactly. Vernon. It's going to be burning. But you're going to be driving by there. I want you to know that it's going to be pretty cold at night. 71 and 49 at night.
Starting point is 00:10:21 You're going to go pick up a package. Yes. Yes. Yes. You know what? I've never been there. Someone take them. To Vernon? Okay.
Starting point is 00:10:31 Take them to the block of Vernon. There used to be a Farmer John factory and it smelled like is. Is that what it is? It used to be. They shut it down now. Oh. And there's a lot of... Good. Good for the residents of Vernon that there has no residents of Vernon. There's a lot of warehouses, dog.
Starting point is 00:10:47 It's all warehouses. It's like industrial. Oh, I'm sorry. Okay, guys. They need the weather too. There's... How many families are? I think 36.
Starting point is 00:10:54 People just worked there. No, I sure it's 367. That's what it says. Oh, okay. Really? He's just looking, he's lying. He's lying up in number high. What's the weather in Vernon?
Starting point is 00:11:04 Valverde, 68, 43 at night. More Park, 71, 46. Santa Monica, 67 and 50 at night. And the people-filled city of Vernon, 71 and 49 at night. Piritos has been concrete for Brombad mornings or Pau 106. Catch your weather tomorrow.
Starting point is 00:11:22 Yes, and 730. What's going down, Victor? Amy's homie is in love with the girl who won't claim him, and Amy thinks she's using him for clout. What? Does she tell him he's being played or sit back and watch the relationship sink? Oh, my God. Mujeres metidas coming up at 7.
Starting point is 00:11:40 I am one of them. Keep it here. It's power to sing. You need a homie or need some help. We need your help. We need a line. I mean phone line. We've got your phone line.
Starting point is 00:11:51 The homie help line. Amy needs our help Amy. Amy hit us up and said one of her really good homies is trying to force a friendship with him and with her and her, his girlfriend.
Starting point is 00:12:05 No, situation. Situation ship. For a year and a half being a situation, that's crazy. Come on, y'all got to get it together. It's a long time. She said she doesn't like really being around them
Starting point is 00:12:15 because she's mean to him. Also, he posts her all the time. She doesn't. She doesn't like. Comment. Do anything. Subscribe. Yeah. Yeah, she doesn't post them when they go on trips, all this stuff. She feels like she is definitely in these streets.
Starting point is 00:12:32 He's asked her like, what do you think? You think she's with other dudes? And she doesn't say anything. She kind of defends her. Maybe not. She doesn't really want to tell him how she actually feels because he's worried that he'll be hurt. So now she wants to know, do I tell him that she's playing him, or do I let it just play out and stay in the background?
Starting point is 00:12:50 And granted, too, this, the new girl. girl's credit, she hasn't done anything. Nope. Explicitly to say or to show that she's entertaining other people. It's essentially what she's not doing for this guy, which Amy feels like he's a good dude. He's known. He's of status.
Starting point is 00:13:09 Yeah. So why would you not? Right? And his ex did. And I don't really know his ex well either, but she's really respectful. And you could tell that they kind of were like a good pair. And then this one seems to be like, I don't know, just not. not giving him that, I guess, pedestal that she feels like he deserves as his homie.
Starting point is 00:13:27 I mean, maybe she's standing on business. She knows that the situation, too. She's like, why am I going to post a situation ship if you're not going to make me your actual girl? Yeah. You get me? And all she knows really is his side of things. Because at the same time, like, on him, too, like, what we would tell anyone. Don't, like, what I, and don't only tell me the bad things about someone.
Starting point is 00:13:45 Yeah. Because you are shaping my opinion about them. Yeah. If you are only coming to me telling me when they do you dirtier because you think they're cheating. or because they're in a fight, guess what I'm going to do? I'm going to hate your person. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:58 So then when you're like, hey, you want to be my person's friend? No. I hate them. They're horrible. Yeah. You know, like, and then this resentment happens.
Starting point is 00:14:07 You know, how often has that happened? You're smiling because it's happening right now, I bet you. No, I remember the time you were like, you met that last situation I had. You're like, oh my God, I love her so much.
Starting point is 00:14:15 Yeah, she's so great. And then Greg, you were the problem. Yeah, apparently I'm the problem. You are the problem. You are. Anywhere's to sell, Amy. You'd accept her children. You are the problem.
Starting point is 00:14:27 You would say that on here. He also said she got put in a group chat randomly. Yeah. You know, by like, part of like the forcing. Yeah. Be friends. No, kids. You know, like, he didn't,
Starting point is 00:14:39 sleepover. Is that what he wants? Yeah. No. He is also telling her, yeah, my ex keeps sitting me up. Like, I don't know what to do. And so she's like, duh, go back with her. Like, you guys only broke up because you didn't have your ish together.
Starting point is 00:14:51 Now you do. and this girl's probably like a hell of baddie. Maybe she has to keep that up. Yeah. Like in her own right. I don't know. Tell Amy send the ads. I want to see.
Starting point is 00:15:02 Amy, Amy, is the new girl of batty, respectfully? She is. Oh, okay. I'll DM you guys. Oh, yeah! Don't do not like Greg, don't fly it in her DM for anything
Starting point is 00:15:18 because then he'll figure out. That's asking you a lot. That's asking you a lot. That would be a good test, though. That's a good test. You're actually. You know what? Got a bad idea.
Starting point is 00:15:27 I like it. If she's a baddie, chances are Greg's already blocked. Because he's tried already. He's already followed. Previously followed. Okay. What should Amy do? Should she tell her homie that's like a brother to her?
Starting point is 00:15:41 Hey, this girl, I just don't see it, bro. Knowing that possibly this might cause a riff within them. Yeah. Or should she just like suck it up? This girl hasn't blatant. done anything. But is it ever blatant? You're right?
Starting point is 00:15:56 She hasn't. You know, like she hasn't. Let's go to the phone line. Let's go. Let's go to Jennifer and Manabello. What's the yes. Good morning, Brown, Bad. Hi, Jennifer.
Starting point is 00:16:09 Jennifer, talk to us. I love you guys, but she needs to mind her business or either just tell him fools. Stop telling me. I don't like her ass. Do what you want to do. He needs to get a backbone. stop complaining to her.
Starting point is 00:16:22 He probably likes her low-key, but knows they can't get with her because she don't want him either. So, I mean, he needs to get his stuff together. And if he's, like, got something that she wants clout, obviously it sounds like he wants to clout because she's pretty and he's afraid that he can't catch nothing like that. He's crazy. He's crazy. He's wild.
Starting point is 00:16:43 He needs to get his stuff together. And if he's not ready for a relationship or if he likes this, Amy, but he needs to let her know, too, because I don't know because if that was my friend and they just kept complaining to me male or female I'd be like, bro, I don't like her. I just don't like her. But do what you want to do because at the end of the day
Starting point is 00:17:04 what if it does work out between them and then she went and ran her mouth and she's going to be the bad one at the end of the day. I would just mind my business. That's too much. She said she doesn't like bad energy and all that, but she keeps receiving it and like going with it.
Starting point is 00:17:21 Like, I'd be done with that. That's old. Yeah, like, that's your belly. If you want to be with her, go ahead. But, like, keep me out of it. Yeah, yeah. Or, but. Please tell me, like, they're in, like, their early 20s because even that's a little bit
Starting point is 00:17:33 too old to be doing these, this stuff. It's crazy. It's wild. I'm wondering. I wouldn't do it. I'm wondering what does stay out of it mean when you're a person that can't really hide your feelings? Because if you're telling her, like, hey, because she just mentioned, like, it's really
Starting point is 00:17:47 hard to be fake, like, being around them. I would just stay away from that. The first time I'd have been like, you know what, I don't like her. I don't want to do that. That's your girl. I don't have to spend no time with her. She needs to get in just time to keep it pushing. If he feels like that, then he needs to do something else.
Starting point is 00:18:05 Get a backbone, grow up, do something. Be a man. Because if the first one left him because he didn't have his stuff together, he still probably doesn't have his stuff together. Oh, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, hold on. He's the problem. He's the problem. He's the problem.
Starting point is 00:18:21 It sounds like it. Why is it always the guy's fault? Hold on. It's never the guy's fault. Let it be the guy's fault this time. All right, all right. I'm just kidding. Letty.
Starting point is 00:18:29 What? Okay, do you guys think he might like her? Like Amy? No. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. Amy sent us a picture of her. I get it. I would do the same exact thing.
Starting point is 00:18:40 You would just be. Oh, my God. If she told me to never post her, like, done deal. She wouldn't tell you never post her. She would just like. She would be a secret, done deal. She is bad. She is bad.
Starting point is 00:18:50 She wouldn't see because she's being posted on his stuff. Yeah. Oh, that's true. She just doesn't calm in her life. This girl could tell me to crawl and I'm like, I'm there. She's hot. You're so gross. She's hot.
Starting point is 00:19:01 That's fine that she's hot, but this added extra. You're the dude that's like, I had to drink your bathwater. Oh, for sure. I smell your fart. In a cup right now. In a cup right now. Evette in Oregon. Kiyo'u'll be Yvette.
Starting point is 00:19:13 Good morning, Brown, bag. Hi, Yvette. Yvette, talk to us. What would you tell Amy? She's caught up between faking a friendship with her homie's new. girl or telling her homie, bro, she's using you. No, I don't have evidence, but I can just tell. Survive.
Starting point is 00:19:27 Amy, Amy needs to just stay out of that one. Really? Told you. Yep, Amy needs to stay out of it. Because what if her homeboy ends up marrying this woman? And then now she's looking like the hater. Now she's looking like the hater. Right?
Starting point is 00:19:42 Like, what if they end up having kids together? She just needs to stay out of it. Yeah, give him his conseils as his homie. But stay out of it. Stay out of it. Stay out of it. See? Thank you, Yvette. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:19:52 Yvette in Oregon. Okay, that's how they do it over there. Stay out of it. That's what happens all the time. Stay out of it or then you got to say something because then it'll eat at you. That's where she's at. She's back at square one. She is?
Starting point is 00:20:06 The lines are split. They are. Her homies Amanda. Well, you didn't you just say. Yeah, you'd be the same way. I agree. Well, I was the same way. I'm not anymore.
Starting point is 00:20:16 No, you were just looking at her photo. Like, if she wants me to crawl and keep. secret, I would too. Yeah, it'd be a Mandy for her too. Yeah, that's what I'm saying, but I could accept being a Mandy. What's Mandy short for? I could say that word? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:30 Yeah, it's not a bad word. Mandilone? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. What does that mean? Like a dummy. Somebody does dumb.
Starting point is 00:20:36 You are. Yeah, I know. You are without the girl. No girl needed. Zool would come here? Now what's going on? Damn! She's Mason with Angie.
Starting point is 00:20:47 Okay. Seth Rogen. It's starting some high school drama because there's a statement that's resurfacing from 2023 where he's claiming, quote, no one's made a good high school movie since Super Bad. Oh my gosh. What? His movie. That came out in 2007. And he's saying ever since then there hasn't been no good high school movie.
Starting point is 00:21:11 Why, Seth? Why are you starting a problem? I'm telling you, high school drama. I love Super Bad so much. One of my favorite movies of all. He has great quotes. We have one of my favorite. What, Macloven?
Starting point is 00:21:21 Macloven? Macloven? Mcloven? What kind of a stupid name is that, Fogel? What are you trying to be an Irish R&B singer? Mac Loven. Yes, he gave us Macloven. I see.
Starting point is 00:21:32 Mcloven. Mick Lovin. Oh. Oh, my God. I was to date years old. Did my whole life. Macloven. Macloven.
Starting point is 00:21:47 Whatever. Okay, Mcloven. What part when you heard it say McLevin did you think Mac Loving? MC. I know, but it's not written. He's saying it. I don't know my hearing and my talking dumb match. Wait, MC?
Starting point is 00:22:01 Mac. That's M-A-C. Mac. I don't know. I played my middle school. I was called McFadden and it was MCFadden. Oh, okay. So you, okay, that I agree with you.
Starting point is 00:22:13 Okay. What else, Sanji? Okay. He also gave us the period scene, my favorite scene. Someone period out of my leg? I do. I've never before seen that in my life. This is so disgusting.
Starting point is 00:22:25 Okay. That's funny. Seth in that movie is a cop, no? Yeah. He's like the cool cop. He's not necessarily even the main character. No, he co-wrote it too. Oh, okay, okay, okay.
Starting point is 00:22:35 It was based on, like, his high school experience. Okay, okay, okay, nice. Inspired. And he's just saying, like, no one can touch us. There hasn't been a good one since. Yeah. What movies have dropped since 2007? Because I'm thinking of high school movies, like Mean Girls,
Starting point is 00:22:49 was before. Yeah, that was 2004. But even in 2007, we had Juno. They got bored and she got... The teen pregnancy. My life story.
Starting point is 00:22:58 Oh, my God. Wait, Vic just quoted Juno today. Yes. Oh, what did you say? Juno. Juno. It's his favorite movie.
Starting point is 00:23:09 You quoted it today and you said it was from Juno. I forgot. Okay. In 2008, we had Twilight. Oh. You're forgetting.
Starting point is 00:23:19 They're in high school. He's smelling her period. That didn't happen. I think we're talking about the P-word way too much. I don't even know that we can talk about it. Okay. What about high school musical? Oh my God, you know.
Starting point is 00:23:30 Vick's favorite song. That did come out in 2008. What's my home? I've never seen that. I don't know why they've seen it. Great. What is my home? Okay.
Starting point is 00:23:48 What other high school movies could even be in the running? Project X! Oh! Project X! Party Kids! Yes! Invite all of Chatsworth That's crazy
Starting point is 00:24:11 Yeah, that was 2012 You think that might have been A diss to Project X? I don't know Because I get it Like maybe Juno would be like Yeah, we dropped the same year And it was totally different vibes
Starting point is 00:24:19 Twilight is kind of like fantasy And then what else do Or Mac and Devin Go to high school Oh true True, true That must have been later That was in 2012
Starting point is 00:24:27 Okay but also in 2012 We have 21 Jump Street My name is Jeff Great movie Great movie Do you think he has with them? Wait, 21 Jump Street is like a cop movie.
Starting point is 00:24:40 But it's high school. But they're in high school. And it's also with Jonah Hill, so I don't know. And Channing Tatum, who he's done movies with too. I don't know. Why would he say that? I don't know. Maybe he's just on some.
Starting point is 00:24:50 He's probably just hiding. That's all I was saying. Was he like some F everyone stuff? I don't know. There hasn't been a good high school movie since Super Bad. I don't know. I feel like that's a diss to the kids in Project. Because low key, they look like the kids from Superbad, but they're not.
Starting point is 00:25:04 Yeah. But that movie's so good. No, but the kids in Project. eggs. You don't know their name. But they were like, there was like a skinny-tone one and liking one, a little checking one. Like they were like kind of molded after. Ah, like the nerdy one too.
Starting point is 00:25:17 Maybe it was a direct shot at Project X. Yeah, it was a Disney. It was Bitaji. Do you have any movie like? Honestly, I was going to say EZA with Emma Stone. I got it. I got a fucking got a fucking got a fucking roll of sunshine. I got a little.
Starting point is 00:25:32 Oh my mom. Oh, whoa. Oh. That movie either. It's going to go. It has Emma Stone and it, too. Yeah. 2010.
Starting point is 00:25:42 Let's get into some hip hop. You know let these on. Yeah, go. Let these set go. Oh, I'm so happy for today because in 1985, he arrived. Jay Cole, happy birthday, brother. Happy birthday. Jay Cole, 41 years old today.
Starting point is 00:26:02 Thank you. Yeah. Stop. Thank you. Yeah, I didn't really. Yeah. Yeah. Our OGs, they're OGing.
Starting point is 00:26:08 Wow. If you think he's old, you're getting right up there too. I know. That's what I'm like, oh my God, I am old. Oh, my gosh. Just yesterday, we all had a dollar in a dream. Oh, my. Still do.
Starting point is 00:26:17 Yesterday, he dropped a mixtape with four freestyles titled Birthday Blizzard 26. And it's low-key fitting because right now the East Coast and a lot of the other parts of the nation are in a crazy winter storm, right? You've been singing it on the news, all of that. He dropped four songs where he's freestalling over. Classic beats. There's victory that that's on there. He wraps over money, power, respect. Like, beats that we know
Starting point is 00:26:44 and we love is hip hop heads that he chose to like, hey, I'm going to just do what I love on my birthday and I'm going to send this out. In true Dreamville and J-Cold fashion, they're always ready to like come with a new concept of like how to market it, right? He's famously done like Vic said the dollar in a dream, pay a dollar and get into a show.
Starting point is 00:27:01 He's gone around the country, played his album for fans. I was along the ride for that in 2014. And this one he kind of jumped on the proud to pay vibe. Like shout to our guy Nipsey Hustle who did that too. And probably did that first. But he said, hey, here's the link. Give me what you want.
Starting point is 00:27:18 Yeah. Give me what you want to pay. And then you can have these four freestyles. Yeah. How much did you guys pay? Because you guys pay. $5. Okay.
Starting point is 00:27:26 I copied Vic. Five bucks too. Why did you copy? I don't know. I was just Vic. Me? Apparently. Well, I was originally going to pay a dollar and I was like, no, I can't be that cheap.
Starting point is 00:27:34 And then I was like, I went back and I was like, five bucks. And I felt good about it. Because it was five songs. It was five tracks. Oh, yeah. It was four songs. And the faith was the full. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:27:41 So I was like five for five. I paid a dollar. I get it. You stayed on, you stayed on brand. I paid five times more. And then also I was on one of his music videos. I did the voiceover.
Starting point is 00:27:52 And they're like, how much do you want us to pay you? And then I was like, just pay me a dollar. Like, but I never got that dollar. Oh. Yeah. I probably should sue him like Cameron. No, no. I know.
Starting point is 00:28:02 No. No. So I'll owe you two dollars. dollar. I'm like, whatever. All right. Anyway, back to the topic. So on one of the freestyles, it's called Bronx Zoo.
Starting point is 00:28:12 He talked about this whole top three notion. It was him. It was Kendrick. It was Drake. But because of the apology, everyone's like, bro. We don't even think about you, Jay Cole. Listen. I used to be top seed.
Starting point is 00:28:24 Apology dropped me. Way out of the top three. No problem. Probably. My best when they doubt me. Watch me. Watch me. This is how you come back.
Starting point is 00:28:33 This is how you come back from people doubting you. from you quote unquote losing a beef or never never even fighting you just stick and you lean in to your strengths and that's rapping and rapping at the level that you rap at everybody that's his fan is really happy I think he definitely fed the fandom before he even drops the
Starting point is 00:28:49 album that's coming next month right he also talks about this this comeback specifically in a freestyle on 99 build that's the name of the song here's what he says I wonder how could I dodge it the beef ain't real so it ain't no reason to squash it the game ain't neither so it's
Starting point is 00:29:05 for me to pause it with one verse I disassemble narratives Your theories get killed The murder weapon with superior skill He's saying like yeah The beef was never Like mentioning his beef with Kendrick
Starting point is 00:29:17 I'm speculating But it's like I love this guy It's not real And whatever you guys got to say I'll just rap and you guys will Forget like F whatever your narrative is but he did talk about The actual back and forth
Starting point is 00:29:32 That he had on this song The same song Bill, excuse me. So we all know first person shooter happened. And I remember when first person shooter, the song with Drake and with J. Cole.
Starting point is 00:29:42 And then J. Cole was saying like something about stepping and he was saying top three. And he was saying that he's number one. I'm like, why are you talking like this? Why are you talking like this? Because Kenner's going to get mad. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:29:53 He kind of mentions in this song that it could have been because he saw what was working and figured that he should do that, then was reminded, maybe you shouldn't play. It's the trend. Drama enhances the attention brought to
Starting point is 00:30:05 the fans on popular channels so you want to hop on a band wagging a battle rapping and throwing shots in a jam I had my chance but I dropped it which means that my only options to do the opposite thing. Lay with the skill. If hip hop is back J.I.D. should chart platinum. Anything less than that it means y'all capping. Do you see what I'm saying? He was seeing what was going on and he's like, all right, maybe I should just do this.
Starting point is 00:30:27 He's my friend. Hopped on the bandwagon. He said. And then I'm sorry I'm do's my friend. It was a lot. It was a lot. But he's coming back from it. He's coming back from it hot.
Starting point is 00:30:36 And there has been rumors surrounding this new project, the falloff. You know, I don't really like to, like, give him so much credit, but I will give him credit because he was right. DJ academics, well known and just a polarizing figure in hip hop media had said, oh, you know what I heard? That Drake and Kendrick had songs on this fall off and they had to scrap it because clearly what happened. So this was starting for scrap. This will know what he's doing. And that was just like, shut all that academics. You don't know what you're done.
Starting point is 00:31:05 But it seems like he was right because on the winter storm track of this mixtape, J. Cole says something similar. Hey, yo, scrap everything I was working on prior to the day the world decided to play. I got a brand new agenda. I'm like, you might be like, and you know, people were saying little things like, like, oh, I heard this. I heard he was going to do this. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:31:26 It seems like someone's talking. I don't know who, but like people are hearing the new music that's coming out. And so, yeah, it just, it makes me more excited for what's to come. And I do. And I really appreciate. my guy J-Coole. Yeah. Shout out of J-Cole.
Starting point is 00:31:36 I'm excited. Happy birthday. Happy birthday. My birthday. What do you want? Best a brown bag. Tell us studious. What's nine plus ten?
Starting point is 00:31:43 Turn your life? Look at this studious food. Perritos, do you have trouble falling to sleep at night? Mm-hmm. I do. Good, because I have the perfect solution for you. Study says that sleeping with one foot outside the blankets, there's actually some signs behind it and why it feels good.
Starting point is 00:31:58 It says our feet have lots of blood vessels close to the skin, which makes them great at release it meat. Which is a rich one in their frame. When they put it, Listen, got trying. When the foot is uncovered, those vessels open up and let your body cool down more easily, helping your core temperature drop, helping you sleep faster. Nice.
Starting point is 00:32:19 I believe it. So if you're having trouble sleeping, take your foot out of the cover. Yeah. Put your left foot in, take your right foot out. I let my chinet hang out because that feels good. Your third leg? Yeah. Damn, I.
Starting point is 00:32:31 I believe it. I technically have two legs out there. Open up your vessel. I believe it. I sleep with both feet out. Yes, dude. I totally do. I mean, I don't put that out there,
Starting point is 00:32:40 but girls tend to sleep with their breasts out too, and that's cool. Well, does it just fall out and, like, in the middle of their sleep? Yeah. Every now, man. Every now and then, you know, because my girl wears my tank tops, you know, like my, my wife feeders. Okay, huh?
Starting point is 00:32:55 All right. And, you know, sometimes it's a little bit slip, you know? They just be like. And I wake up and I'm like, mm, should I get at that right now? Just flick it? Flick it. No, Baba, I lick it. You have only?
Starting point is 00:33:06 Oh my God. What does this have to do with the study? The fact that it helps you sleep faster. Which one? If you have one, you'll be fine. You know? I don't think that was the study.
Starting point is 00:33:21 The study is that, okay, if you sleep with one leg out, it helps you sleep faster. But like I said, I sleep with it my chili wheelie out, and it's cool. That's even better. What leg, specifically, is it a certain leg? No, there's no leg, which is it, what you want. Oh, okay, no preference.
Starting point is 00:33:36 Which are when you want. It can be the left or the right, the one in the middle. Which are what you want to do. The third leg. And it's because of the cool, the cool air helps you. The cool air helps your body temperature cool down and that helps you sleep faster. Thank you. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:33:48 Thank you so much. Thank you guys. Best of Brown Bag.
