Starting point is 00:00:00 What's up? This is Be Real from Cyprus Hill. Where are you from, Esse? Don't you know I'm local? A hurricane hitting the Southland? Why could it happen? A hurricane. Apparently in 1858, a category one is believed to hit San Diego.
Starting point is 00:00:19 That's how long ago a hurricane has ever been reported to have hit the Southland, right? That's wild. How many years ago, 1858? 70. No. No, way more than 70. Like 100 in the hundreds, right? That's crazy, okay?
Starting point is 00:00:37 But apparently we might maybe have to deal with that again this coming week. What's wild to me is that it's been so hot. Especially like this is the first week of school for some kids. Next week could be very rainy. Apparently starting Sunday, there's going to be a lot of rain coming through. There's this hurricane or tropical storm Hillary that's expected. Yeah, it's expected to become a major hurricane. And it's starting right now, very sur, like very south.
Starting point is 00:01:05 But it might, when it hits San Diego, it might be a hurricane. I thought hurricane season was over. Right? And the name Hillary is crazy. Yeah, that's really weird. Like, yeah, that's something you definitely hear about in Florida or like, you know, in the south. And these categories, I'm hoping category one is true. And I'm thinking of that.
Starting point is 00:01:27 But I know that. So what I'm reading is Hillary's forecast to reach category three status at some point Saturday before arriving in Southern California as a tropical storm late Sunday or Monday. Okay, so someone else taking the heat before us. Yeah, San Diego. Shut up then. All right, let us know how it goes, San Diego. Stay classy. Stay classy.
Starting point is 00:01:45 I don't know when we turned into Miami. Yeah, no, literally. The weather has been so humid, Miami. Like, I literally thought that I was like, yo, what is going on? And the fact that it's all. is tripping me out. Like, if that were to happen, I'd probably expect May June. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:03 May, July. August is like, we're supposed to be, like, turning the tides on stuff. Yeah, we're supposed to be getting out of summer. Not getting into some weird hurricane weather. I don't like this. It's going to happen. I think just make the best of it. Low key, I'm scared of, like, I used to be really scared of super high winds.
Starting point is 00:02:18 Uh-huh. What? Yeah. Like, as a kid, like, the noise used to make me very, like, scared. Wind noise being scared. I remember when in a Salvador. Where'd you living in Adobo or what? I went to a Salvador and I was in a little hurricane.
Starting point is 00:02:31 I was so scared. Wow. Well, yeah, because those winds are like, what, like 50 miles an hour? Stuff like that. To me, it's tripping out because Jorgeo starts school next Monday. Right. So all the schools that started school this week got like the heat, like hundreds. The kids that start school next week, it's going to be raining.
Starting point is 00:02:50 Like, they're going to have such crazy experiences of the first days of school. Rainy and hot. Would you rather have a super hot first day of school or a super rainy first day? school. Super hot. Super rainy. Super rainy. No, because the super rain is going to be super rainy and it's going to be muggy.
Starting point is 00:03:05 Like, no. Also, usually you have new shoes on the first day. I was about to say super raining, going to get on my clothes. No. I think super rainy day because rainy day schedule vibes are the best. So imagine having your first day of school be rainy day vibes. Like cafeteria vibes or like watching movie vibes. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:19 Come on. Yeah. Look at the bright side. That's not a bad strategy. Yeah. But if you have plants this weekend, especially like Sunday towards Monday and you're thinking now it's going to be hot, like let's go outside, let's be outside. Just be careful.
Starting point is 00:03:30 It might not happen. Global warming is real. I wonder if this is a part of global warming. I know everything is a part of global warming, but I know that the cold is also and the hot is also. It's called global warming, but it's, it means just the whole change and shift in weather. I got a random call last night about like a survey and it was like, hey, like do you, what are your thoughts on global warming and all this stuff?
Starting point is 00:03:52 And then Lil Vick was sitting next to me and he was listening after I hung up the call. He was like, global warming. warming? He was so scared. And I was just like, don't worry, Papa. Like, it's just, you know, the earth goes through cycles. And I was like, if you leave a cup out, it's not going to be the same forever. It's going to change. There's going to be different things in it. And I was trying to break down global warming to him. And he was just like so terrified. He thought like, the earth was going to catch on fire. And I was like, honestly, I don't know. It might. But we can't do anything about it. He's like, I'm not going to deal with it. You are. I'm like, that's for you
Starting point is 00:04:24 to figure out with you and your grandchildren. You know what I just remember what I just, I think I did this and it wasn't, I promise I didn't do this on purpose. Yeah. But the boys, I told you, they really want to go to Universal Studios. They want to go to Mario World. And then they can we go? And I was like, okay, if the weather's good on Sunday, we'll go. Wow.
Starting point is 00:04:40 And I was thinking like if it's not crazy hot, but now they're going to step outside and it's a rain on Sunday. Sorry, can't do it. So if you were thinking of like, yeah, any plans or like, hey, girl, like, I promise you, I'll propose to you if, like, on Sunday the weather is great. and then it's bad. Good idea. Use it to your favor. Pretend that you can control. Like, pretend it's divine intervention.
Starting point is 00:05:02 Oh, yeah. Because it looks so nice outside. It's not going to look like it's going to rain. Yeah. But it's like, dude, it's so sunny outside. Wouldn't it be crazy if it rained? That's hilarious. Okay, if it rains, you owe me $20.
Starting point is 00:05:12 Oh. And then it rains. See, the information you know? I'm just saying here. We're scamsimo here. Yeah, there's something we can do something along those lines. Hey, hey, what are you doing? Sambra Salah with Angie.
Starting point is 00:05:28 Our girl, Brittany, is going through it right now. What is she doing? Britney Spears, after 14 months of marriage with her husband, Sam Asgadi, they're calling it quits. Sam has filed for divorce and it's because he's accusing Britney of cheating. Whoa. Apparently, like, there was rumors going around that she, that Britney was cheating on him. And so he confronted her and that led to like a huge fight. And I was just thinking, I'm like, fool, like what rumors like, we, we see.
Starting point is 00:05:58 see Brittany on social media. She's just dancing. What rumors did you hear this about? So that was the big fight that led them to actually, for him to cause her to, for the divorce, right? And so this dude moves out of the house, files for divorce and is now blackmailing her saying that, hey, Brittany, if you don't change the pre-up, I'm going to leak some really, really embarrassing info about you.
Starting point is 00:06:20 So there was a pre-up. There was a pre-up, which was smart of her. Because we don't know that, man. I don't know. No. I'm telling you guys, he's the, I'm telling you guys, he's the who he. Who is he? No one.
Starting point is 00:06:33 Britney made of. I don't watch those shows like Love Island and stuff like that, but I have a feeling he's like on one of those. He seems like one of those type of dude. Personal trainer. Personal trainer, model, want to be actor. They've actually met it at set on one of her music videos. So he's one of those like, I guess video vixen, if you want to call it.
Starting point is 00:06:50 He's a video vixie. He's a man with the job, okay? I mean, they were dating for six years, got married, and now bam, he's saying, like, I want to divorce. Yeah, supposedly, you guys. And you better change the pre-up to give me money or else. Yeah, he's asking for a spouse's support and he has a attorney fees to be covered. That's exactly. The support is one thing, but the pre-nup stuff, I think, like, that's what it exists for.
Starting point is 00:07:18 Yeah. I think he needs money for the trauma of having to record those videos of her dancing. No, Maximo. Somebody had to record those videos. Yeah, he had to hit the button and watch that. That's torture. He needs therapy. Oh, God.
Starting point is 00:07:35 No, but right now, apparently, like, the pre-nup states that Sam will receive a million dollars for every two years of their marriage with the cap of 10 millions after 15 years. But since they were married for 14 months, I don't think he's going to get the million at all. What an idiot. Just stick it out for, like, another eight months or whatever. I don't know. It's not that hard. I'm telling you, he, it was.
Starting point is 00:07:53 because supposedly Britney was out here cheating, but nobody ever saw that. I only see Britney Spears inside. Same. Yeah. Or getting slapped by an NBA player accidentally. Oh, yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:03 Well, she was with her man? What she was with her man? I think she was what I meant. I thought it was security. Damn. Yeah, I believe she was with security. Yeah, which is with security. But apparently they had been going through it,
Starting point is 00:08:14 like the past couple of months, it had been Rocky, like their whole relationship. Like they were arguing a lot, fighting a lot. Like Britney would get physical. And then they would just get, like, screaming matches. They would just scream. at each other's faces all the time. So it was just very toxic and
Starting point is 00:08:27 Homeboy just moved out, accused her cheating and now it's blackmailing her. Wow. That's a lot. It's a lot, you guys. But dude was real quick to switch because when Britney Spears was going through the whole court system with her dad, the conservatorship, Sam was actually the rock
Starting point is 00:08:43 for her. Yeah, backing her up and everything. Always backing her up, always defending her, supporting her, all that stuff. See, that's the thing that's weird to me is like, you were so, like, Britney's this and like, and then once you break up, well, she's like, it turns all, like, She's the worst thing in the world. Yeah. So you were with her and you were defending her against her dad.
Starting point is 00:08:57 That was like the number one. I guess like speaker for Brittany was her man. Yeah. And he was like, you know, she's been through so much and she's this and she's that. And she's great and she's helpful and she's this. And now it's like she's evil. She's not evil. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:08 She's this. She's like, which one is it? Well, if he believes that she truly believes that she was cheating, then I feel like right there is when like it almost feels like there's no rules anymore. Yeah. House. If that's true, it's like he supported her through everything and he's done, you know, his part and stuff like that and then it's just like damn like you turn on me you're going to do this to me
Starting point is 00:09:28 if true if true yeah because again those are rumors that she was cheating nobody's seen anything besides that and then now nobody usually sees people cheat yeah i don't know but you're right but she's such a public figure she can't go anywhere without TMZ or anywhere following her well there should be more information on the cheating it just feels like he's accusing her yeah it was just accusing her and he hasn't publicly said it so he hasn't said anything right allegedly she's cheating yeah Allegedly he said that she allegedly cheated. These things are crazy. No, you're right.
Starting point is 00:09:59 Man, yeah. I wonder, yeah, if, again, if it's true, it's like, okay, I get it. And a lot of times, like, the money stuff, it's like, yeah, people want money, but a lot of times it's in spite. So if he's really convinced that she cheated, he's like, okay, now I want $2 million, and now I want this and just to hurt Brittany, you know? Or it could be he wants out and he's going to say she cheated. True.
Starting point is 00:10:20 That, yeah. That could get him some sympathy point. right there. Yeah. All's going to be is like, yeah, I don't want to be with her anymore because, like, Maximo said, I'm sick of recording her videos. She cheated on me. Because who was she cheating on you with? Her stuffed animal?
Starting point is 00:10:32 Yeah. Her camera. Cheating varies, you know? So it's like, oh, well, like, she DM'd Usherback or something. Like, you know? It's like, it's not a, like, it's, it can be a wide range of things that he can just say that. Yeah. And I mean, any cheating allegation always gets the most eyes from the media.
Starting point is 00:10:48 Yeah. So he's like, this is it. She's cheating. I think he's trying to go I think he's trying Like it's like once one guy has done it Don't do it bro Justin Timberlake already won out
Starting point is 00:10:59 On Britney cheating allegation team He made a whole song He did it the best way You can't do like Are you gonna come on music video? Are you gonna drop some heat? Are you gonna drop some heat? Are you gonna do Crimea River?
Starting point is 00:11:09 No See because Britney does have it in her past She did cheat in her past I believe in Justin Yeah That song? I feel like I got cheated on when I listen to it Same
Starting point is 00:11:18 Yeah, Camier River I believe him I don't know if I believe this one. No, I give what you're saying. If I had to, like, really, like, make a guess that's just like, this is what happened. Yeah. I don't know. I think she seems a little unwell and maybe doesn't, like, again, like, who's she going to cheat on him with?
Starting point is 00:11:36 Honestly, what it looked like to me, even when they got married. And this is just me being, like, gossip folk and me just, like, looking at other people's lives. I'm like, it feels like he's using her. It feels like he's with someone that is probably. unwell but it's like this is my cash cow oh for sure i get my money yeah all his photos were on trips were like the different like tropical places that they would go to and i'm like what do you do who are you so to me i'm like and i've seen it i've seen it happen to girls too like if you're a popping girl there's going to be a guy that's going to be with you for like the people they can
Starting point is 00:12:12 meet for the stuff you can get him like it's just like when there's a popping guy there's a girl that she probably bombed she probably has a big booty but she don't really love you. She loves your Ferrari. She loves the Louboutons you get her. She loves all that stuff. And like she would hate to touch you. But like you're the dude that's sponsoring her quote unquote. So I don't know like that's always how that relationship felt to me. It did. Because
Starting point is 00:12:35 they got married like six months after the whole conservatorship with her dad ended. So then after that it's like they get married all of a sudden. How convenient. Yeah, very convenient. That's how it's always felt like to me too. It was really it's just really weird to see because again you you see it. Right. Like we saw them together beforehand. It was just like, why, what are his intentions for real?
Starting point is 00:12:55 Yeah, what is their romance based on? So that's like money. So maybe she did cheat or maybe however it does play out. I just can't knock the, shake the feeling that I had when I would look at like photos them together earlier out. Yeah, because he's really young. He's 29. She's 41.
Starting point is 00:13:08 So it's like a 12 year difference. Like the come up is crazy. Yeah. Or maybe Brittany's a real G. And maybe she did cheat. But she's like, I pay all the bills or what? Yeah. Deal with it.
Starting point is 00:13:19 Record me dancing again, boy. But it's just crazy how evil and ex can get during a breakup, you guys. Because I'm telling you, she trusted this fool so much. Like, that was his rock and her rock. And then now look at him. So no, eh, hole, blackmailing, all that stuff. Yeah, absolutely. All right.
Starting point is 00:13:35 That's it for Sondra Salah brought to you by your local Southern California Toyota dealers. I'm Angie from Brownback Morning. I'm Power 106. You know, it's crazy, though, too, like, when you're with someone, you're like, they're the most perfect person in the world. When you break up, it's like, this person is ruining my life. Is this the same? in person? You ever had an evil ex? Someone that either is like going to
Starting point is 00:13:55 out to take your money, out to make you look bad, out to like just get it, get you back. Get it back in blood. Yeah. Hopefully not all the way in blood. Yeah. But we want to know about your evil ex, okay? Talk to us about it. Did you go through a breakup and they just went totally like
Starting point is 00:14:11 this person you had never seen before? Or maybe that's what you broke up with them too like this person is too much and then it just got like it's too late. You already have some kind of bond with that person and now it's over and now it's weird. We are talking about that crazy X, the evil X. I feel like we all have crazy X,
Starting point is 00:14:27 but we're talking about that evil X. Yeah, that one's that, because currently Britney Spears and her man are going through a breakup, and he's saying, you better change my pre-up to give me money, or I'm going to be airing out some secrets. I feel like with Britney, we know everything,
Starting point is 00:14:43 and it's really weird, and so it's probably to get even more weird, and he's ready for it if she don't start giving him a change in the pre-up, which can be, very evil because that's what you sign the prena for first place. But all of that is allegedly, theoretically, supposedly according to sources.
Starting point is 00:14:58 Yeah. So we want to know what has your evil X done to you? I think this is as evil as it got for me if I don't go all the way to like abusive. Right? So let me go to like the mid part. Which is Fontana full, Mango Street. If you're from the IE., this is where it all stands from. This wonderful. But when we're breaking up, he started telling mutual friends that I'm out to get him.
Starting point is 00:15:21 that I'm affecting his business, that people don't want to buy clothes from him because I'm bad-mouthing him. I'm like, bro, I don't even talk about you. But it's like mutual friends. He would tell mutual friends that would end up telling me, and I'm like, God, please buy a shirt. Please buy one of his shirts.
Starting point is 00:15:36 Please support him. And you're like, he needs it. Yeah, please help him because I'm not going to be supporting him anymore. Please do it. But it was just the way that he was like, okay, I'm going to make her look back to other people. I'm going to make it look like she did this down the third. So what has your evil X done to you?
Starting point is 00:15:53 Or are you the evil X, okay? Because you're out there. No, I'm not. Oh, I thought you were talking to me. I thought you were talking to me. No, one time I'm not doing, throwing a sub to you. Sorry, sorry. Okay.
Starting point is 00:16:03 Irene, talk to us. We have Myra from L.A. online too. Myra. Myra. Are you Myra because you're anonymous or are you Myra because that's your name? Because I'm anonymous. Oh, okay, Myra. All right, Myra.
Starting point is 00:16:18 All right. Evil X's. to us? Just to start off, I'm a good person, but I am the evil ex. You're the evil ex. Oh, let's hear it. I'm a good person. We'll decide.
Starting point is 00:16:31 We'll decide if you're a good person or not. I feel like that's the, all the villains say that. And my mom sounds really nice. They all have a villain origin story, though. Okay, what would your ex say about you? Why are you so evil? So my girl's dad, basically we got into like this really, like intense argument and one thing led to another and he tried to take my car I was like
Starting point is 00:16:58 uh-uh I'm not going to let that happen we ended up uh pretty much like arguing over the car he got out and he was like walking away telling me like yeah I'm going to call I'm going to call the cops this and that and he ends up like having the cops on the line I'm right there and um just to scare him like I it was like really messing honestly like she was shot myra what did you do I didn't run him over oh my right
Starting point is 00:17:29 I knew it I knew it she gave him a love tap I knew it no he I didn't run him over he was just in the way oh my gosh myra this is wild I can be the villain
Starting point is 00:17:46 but definitely it was worth it Wow. He learned his lesson. Like he got the picture. You kept the car? Yeah, I kept the car, but I got my karma for sure. What's your karma? You got ram from the back?
Starting point is 00:18:03 No, I got into a really bad car accident, but it's okay. Why are you smiling while you're saying? She's so happy because she still has the car. Yeah. And I love that. Your baby girl is back there too. Hey, mom, car is a girl. Oh, that's what happened to dad.
Starting point is 00:18:18 He made my dad roll kill him. Yeah. No, he's dramatic. I didn't even run him over. He's dramatic. He's dramatic. He's dramatic. He's dramatic.
Starting point is 00:18:26 The person that got hit with the car is dramatic. Okay. Well, he was on the phone with the car. He's alive, huh? Yo. He, I was just, I was just scaring him. I didn't even hit him. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:40 She's so cute. Did it work? She's so cute. I mean, yeah. Yeah. He's scared of you for life now. Myra, you know, seriously. is don't be hitting people, okay?
Starting point is 00:18:50 Yeah, Mara. No, I did that. That's not the answer. Even scaring them is not the answer because look your karma. Yeah. Look, your car is to get from point A to point B, B, D, okay? You got to know that.
Starting point is 00:19:04 All these letters. All right, Myra, I'm going to get your real name, Mara. Okay. So I know not to walk by where you drive. Or to get you pissed. Yeah, I love how sweet she sounds. She sounds so nice. He sounds like I want to hug her.
Starting point is 00:19:21 Like she's the cutest little thing. And she's like, I'm not, I'm a good person. I just like want to scare him a little bit. He just got in the way of my car. I can feel her smiling on the other side. Oh my gosh. Her heart, to her is worth it. No.
Starting point is 00:19:33 Even the, even the car accident she got after, she's like, it was worth it. If somebody hits me with the car and calls me dramatic, I don't know what I'll do. Now you know what gaslighting feels like, Victor. Boom. Word on Rosecrans. Word on Rose. Kranz. Nikki Minaj sticks up for an admirer by humbling herself.
Starting point is 00:19:54 Okay, so look, there's an artist by the name of Akbar V. Pretty popular. She's on Love and Hip Hop, Atlanta. She's worked with Nikki before and deeply, deeply admires Nikki. Even got into a beef with Cardi B over her, right? But now Akbar went on to make a song about her admiration for Nikki titled Letter to My Idol. Then she started receiving backlash online for it.
Starting point is 00:20:14 Listen to this. You actually saved me from that corner when I was putting that work in. I heard still I rise on bleeding had me so searching because all I ever want to do is rap, you know, write on my verses. But it was hard for me to make it out when I was surrounded by courses. So Nikki could have just like stood there and like watch her get cooked. Let the world. You know, for like essentially just being like too on her and, you know, idolizing her and stuff like that.
Starting point is 00:20:38 Because she's an artist herself, right? But what she did is she stuck up for her. She tweeted in support of Akbar, then tweeted out a link to an unreleased track titled Letter to Wayne from 2008. where she did the same thing to her idol at the time, Lil Wayne. Listen to this. old like mixtape track that never came out on like DSPs and stuff or album. Oh, I heard it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:34 SoundClouds. Did you like the Harry Potter bar? Vives. I love it. I love that. I love that letter to Wayne. Yeah. So I just thought it was dope that she like, you know, put herself out there and was like, look, I did this before too.
Starting point is 00:21:44 And the reason why she did that was an ode to me doing that to Lil Wayne. Yeah. Right. And I was just like, wow, that's dope. Because she could have just let her sat back and just been like, damn, she's getting cooked. That's crazy. I wonder what fans went at the initial girl because if it was Barb's, Barb's, you should know better. You should know about Letter to Wayne.
Starting point is 00:21:59 Yes. But if it's just the world, like, ah, get off Nikki's, mm. Like, it's like, oh, you don't even know. Yeah, no, I just thought that was super dope for her, like showing support for someone. Farr. Yeah. All right, guys, look, Drake gave away a Birkenbag last night at his final forum show. Stop it.
Starting point is 00:22:16 I swear to God. Really? A burking bag? A burking bag? Those are money, you guys. Now I don't know how much money they are. Around 30K. It's like, you can only get, there's only a limited supply.
Starting point is 00:22:27 You can only get invited to buy these. They're like a thousand, no more than a thousand. They're like a trillion thousand dollars. They range from like 20 to 30,000 around there. For one, for like a little one. Literally. I don't know. And he gave it out.
Starting point is 00:22:40 He just gave it out to the crowd. Just like that. Like when I went to the Drake show, he threw out a sweaty towel. And then it started a fight damn near between a girl and the guy. And Drake was like, I'm going to send one of my Toronto wounds up there. Imagine you got a towel and then the next day he gets, or the next time he goes, he gets someone a burkin? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:58 Yeah, no, it was crazy. Everybody lost their mind. But also, he gave it out to the pit. So if you know how the Drake show set up, the rich people. The rich people. Those are the most expensive tickets in the house. Yeah, the closer you are, the more cars. Yeah, and you know what?
Starting point is 00:23:11 I got to say, it looked like he gave it away to some white hands. All right, that's all I could see. I didn't know who got it. I just see him. Not us looking at the skin color. I was trying to zoom in. I'm like, who got it? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:23:21 You know? And I couldn't see, like, who exactly it was. But, yeah, somebody like front row got it. And there was no fight. Nobody tried a fighter. You know, that just shows me that other people are rich around her. They're just like, oh, Birkin, that's cool. Either that.
Starting point is 00:23:34 She's a paid actress. It could be that. I know to like then give it back after. Because this is, this is major. Like 30,000. 30,000? That reminds me of that one, Drake song. I bought this one, a purse.
Starting point is 00:23:46 I got this one a car. I keep buying things. Make sure you keep track of it all. And look at us. Keeping tabs. We'll know if it's really real when she posted on TikTok. Like, look at the Birkin that I got. Right. Don't post a girl.
Starting point is 00:23:58 Because I will geo-location you. I will find where you're at. Damn, but if he did that at the forum, imagine at the crypto. Dude, you just set the bar, Drake. Yes. He has two more shows coming up, August 21st and 22nd at the crypto.com arena. Yes, we do. So just imagine, like Lettie said, what he's going to give away there.
Starting point is 00:24:19 I'm so excited. Yeah. I'm excited. Absolutely. All right. That was your word on Rosecrans. Brought to you by local Southern California's Toyota dealers. I'm Rosecrans.
Starting point is 00:24:26 for Brownback Mornings. What's up? This is Be Real from Cyprus Hill. Where are you from, Esse? Don't you know I'm local? Okay, it's going down September 30th, the fight between Canelo Alvarez and our guy, Jamel Charlo. This is so awesome because they've been doing the little press run.
Starting point is 00:24:44 Not little. It's huge. And they went to New York first, and then they came to Los Angeles yesterday. And it was so cool to get the invite to be like, hey, we know you love boxing. You want to come through. And we went, and it was. It was in Beverly Hills, and it was so hot. It was like hundreds of degrees it felt.
Starting point is 00:25:00 It was like at 12 p.m., so it was noon time, but they were still there. It's funny because Canelo was wearing a silk shirt. And he's Canelo, so he's like fair skin, he had his little ginger hair, all that. And you could tell the sun was beating on it. Like the sun did what a lot of fighters can do. It was just beating on him, you guys. True. But he took it like a champ.
Starting point is 00:25:23 He had a silk shirt and got all sweaty, and then he just took it off, and all the ladies were like, All the five girls that were there. I want to say it. It was your first time there, Maximo. How was that environment for you? It was different. Fast pace. It's like a bunch of coyotes.
Starting point is 00:25:38 Like everyone's just trying to get that. I want to get to get to shine. You have to be very aggressive. You have to be very aggressive. Super. Or else, you know, people will walk all over you. Yeah. You could elbow people or no?
Starting point is 00:25:50 I mean, people were just, no. We don't want to fight to our own. Yeah, yeah. Because then you have to see this media again. So Vic, you're used to it, because I'm used to it to in the hip-in-the-hop space. Like, if there's an award show, if there's, like, an album listening, you know who the different outlets that are there are, right? So that's the same thing in boxing. Like, you're going to see the same people once you start going.
Starting point is 00:26:08 You're going to see who they are. But also, because everyone knows who each other is, when they see new people, they're like, who are these people? Yeah. And that was me. There's a little. Yeah. Who's this guy? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:26:20 Who's this girl? Why is she getting places on red carpets? Why is she getting one-on-one? Like, they were really like, who are you? In Spanish? Caner de Stu? who, who let you hear? So we had to, like, muscle you just got to stand confident and stand firm.
Starting point is 00:26:32 Like, I'm supposed to be here. Yeah. Like, it's not an imposter syndrome. Like, I'm going to interview Canelo. Was I shaking? Yes. Yes. You were shaking.
Starting point is 00:26:39 Yeah, I showed Maximum. She's never, because there was a part. And it's more the thrill of the, the fast-paced environment. What it is, the event. Yeah. Because when you're on a red carpet, and if you've ever seen, like a TV, someone on a red carpet, you'll see a lot of mics. And that means that they didn't have a lot of time.
Starting point is 00:27:00 So they're grouping interviews together. So everyone has to put their mic at the same time. And they're like, okay, two questions. So let's say it's 10 microphones. Yeah. There's two questions. So all those 10 outlets want their questions to be the questions, right? But you get mad if it's not you.
Starting point is 00:27:15 So when they said two questions, I'm like, hold on. Say, I got this. I asked the two questions. I asked my first question. And then as I say, so I'm like, if you're going to be mad, I'm here, you're going to be real mad that I'm here. Let's go, let me. So my first question, and I knew it, you guys, like, I knew that with Canelo, he loves his
Starting point is 00:27:34 family a lot. He talks a lot about his daughters, of his girl and everything, right? But he also, I don't know if you guys knew this, he also has a godson that's getting into boxing. His godson, Johann Alvarez, and he's also carrying on the Alvarez name. Wow. Right? So I was like, all right, I know what to do.
Starting point is 00:27:53 Like, I'm going to talk to him about everyone else is going to. as Charlo, they're going to ask Crawford, they're going to as like triple G or they're just going to ask him things boxing vibes. And so he's used to that. But once I say someone's name from his family, he's like, what? And he looks straight at me. So you know in boxing, a lot of people start boxing because of who their dad is. Like you see somebody like, Julio Cesar Chavez, and then he has a Chavez Jr. You see Vargas, Vargas has juniors, you know, Floyd Mayweather is a junior. Like, all of that is you're carrying on the name. Some people do it right. Some people. will do it wrong.
Starting point is 00:28:27 And so I'm like, you know, you have Johan, he's your Godson, he has your name. How do you feel about that legacy? Will he tarnish it? Or will he be somebody that steps out to the plate? And he looked straight at me like, whoa, you mentioned my, you mentioned my gotzen? Yeah. And he answered in English, you guys. No, he loves boxing.
Starting point is 00:28:43 He loves boxing, and he's very disciplined. And he wants to be a champion, too. So I support him 100%, and we're going to bring him soon to USA. I felt so happy that he answered me again. Yeah. And you know, it's crazy, if you look up Johan, I think it's Johann Alvarez on Instagram, he looks like canella with brown hair. Oh, real?
Starting point is 00:29:03 Yeah, it's can't be a brunette. Wow. I'm going to do that. Yeah. Okay, so while I had him, because then I was like, right, second question. Keep on. I'm going to keep on. You're looking at me.
Starting point is 00:29:11 You're looking at me. These guys are already mad at me from freaking all the deport station. Yeah, might as well be big mad. So then I'm like, okay, I heard before you said that you, you listen to music, romantica, love song, like romantic. love songs in Spanish when you are training, which is a little bit psychotic. Yeah, I love it. It's like, music romantic, like, it's crazy.
Starting point is 00:29:34 But I'm like, now that you know English and you speak it and you understand it, is there English music that you're listening to while you train or while you go into a fight? There's English music he listens to. Check this out. I like much to hear, I mean, I like much to hear, of a repent, Michael Jackson and things so that make in movement in the gymnasia. Much thanks. Imagine.
Starting point is 00:29:55 He walking in? Vives. Michael Jackson, I just need him to do a video now. He's going to turn somebody to looking like the dude from Thriller. Oh, for sure. I hope there's a K-O and then there's the Moonwalk. Thriller, yeah, and he could do it. One thing about Canelo, and this is what I was thinking in his entrances,
Starting point is 00:30:17 he's made them little mini shows. He's made them full-on performances. I always feel bad for whoever he's fighting because they're like, and coming to this corner, this guy. And Conello, and then it's like, Mariaci and horses and everything. And so I can't wait to like now that maybe he knows English, it might be,
Starting point is 00:30:33 maybe some MJ, uh, entrance kind of lives. The ghost of Michael Jackson? That would be crazy. And Canela would be able to do it. Okay. So that's what happened. And real quickly, I'll get into what happened when we went inside.
Starting point is 00:30:44 By the way, this whole video of the whole shenanigans, you can watch it at Power 106, Los Angeles on YouTube. We're going to drop it up there later. Uh, but then we went inside. And when we went inside, they were like, Letti, you can have a one-on-one with him.
Starting point is 00:30:56 And I was like, Wait, what? I can have it. Like, I was out here, like, beating people up to ask two questions. Yeah. Kind of felt bad because now I get a one-on-on-one. I took their questions. Don't feel bad.
Starting point is 00:31:09 Don't feel bad. But then it was when I got a little bit more serious. Yeah. Because I always wanted to ask him, I know that's all fun in games, but I did want to ask him what he thought of the Mexican style of boxing. You guys, we're so prideful when I say Mexican style of boxing and what we love about our Mexican fighters, what is it? That they love fighting.
Starting point is 00:31:25 Yeah. That they don't back away. That they're always going to braw. That's dangerous. Yeah. Like, yes, it's, it's the sport. It's super entertaining. But that can, like, that can ruin your brain.
Starting point is 00:31:37 That can ruin your body. Yeah. And you never, you can't, you rarely see that type of a fight have a long lasting career. We're not meant to, because the way you fight, we're not meant to have long lasting careers. If that, it's very few. So I asked him, especially with him being a Mexican fighter that loves to braw, But he's added in defensive style. What he thinks of the future of boxing for Mexican fighters.
Starting point is 00:32:03 He spoke in Spanish, so I'll translate afterwards. Well, I think that the people like that they love it much. But at the final of the country, if you want to do something in the boxer, the defense is primordial. No, because at the final, you retire, and the people don't know what you're going to be or you're bad. So, more than, is, primarily, to learn to quit your goals and then, to add us, no?
Starting point is 00:32:27 He says he hopes fighters learn defensive strategy because although the people love it, once you retire, they don't care about you. Yeah, and that's true. Man, I can't wait. I can't wait to see this fight with my friend Cannells. I'm going to call it to that now.
Starting point is 00:32:42 Canals, look, we're going to put up the whole video up on Power 106 on our YouTube and Brownback Mornings 106. That's all going to be popping on our Instagram coming up at 8 o'clock. But you know, on the way, we do have the homie help line. We have the homie help line. We go help a homie that needs some help with his girl that wants too much from him.
Starting point is 00:33:00 Too much. She wants too much. Let's get into that next. It's Power 806. All right, check this out, homie. You need a homie or need some help. We need your help. We'll need a line.
Starting point is 00:33:12 I mean, phone line. We've got you for. The homie help line. Steve needs help. Steve. The homie Steve. Oh, my God. Just be single, Steve.
Starting point is 00:33:23 That's the answer. Whatever the story is, just be single. Be miserable like me. No. All right, look. So Steve DMed us and he said, what's good brown bag? Help the homie out, foo. So I just got married four months ago and my wife been tripping on me lately.
Starting point is 00:33:39 At first, we would work and split the bills, all that. Okay, recently, she's been trying to push me to get joint bank accounts. I really don't want to because I don't want her to keep track of what I've been spending on, all right? I'm going to get a big thing. She's making it a big deal. That's your wife now, bro. Your vow said what's yours is my. Look, she's making it a big deal.
Starting point is 00:34:01 And I want to know if I'm tripping. You're tripping. I don't want her to get control of my money, so I don't want her controlling. Wait, I said I don't get to control her money, so I don't want her controlling mine. How do I tell her no without arguing? This is a real problem. Yes. I don't see the problem.
Starting point is 00:34:17 Now you guys are once. It's our money. Yes. I know a lot of couples. And Joy is not. Give me the password to your bank account. Joint is like let's have one together. Right.
Starting point is 00:34:28 But I know a lot of couples that have separate accounts. And it's like you, do you, I do me? And we'll like spit the bills. It's horrible. I'm depressed. Oh. I was talking about two. Yeah, you were.
Starting point is 00:34:40 No, I swear. I hate it. I'm the worst marriage ever. I'm kidding. I'm so happy. You're so happy. No, look. Okay.
Starting point is 00:34:50 So, I mean, if it's just like one joint bank account. Okay, like that's pretty reasonable. You guys are, you know, in a committed relationship. But I think also it's like if it's combine all of our accounts, like, ah. Ah, ah, ah. Yeah, I don't know. This isn't what's a trip to me because shout out to, I get, not shout out to this fool. But I get it.
Starting point is 00:35:13 I would like to understand the guy's point of view in this because you already married her. So you, it's not like, oh, if she was a certain type of girl, you would have already kick her to the curb before. Yeah. You got into like marrying her. Yeah. So you already took the next step. You see she's wifey material. You guys probably live together, I hope.
Starting point is 00:35:29 And she wants a joint bank account. Probably for bills or probably, even if it's for her own things. Like, it feels like a valid request from her. Yeah. Now she's your wife. Like if your girl is telling you that or. Yeah. And it seems like it's not necessarily even about the money or that he's worried that, you know,
Starting point is 00:35:48 she's going to take anything from him. Or she's monitoring what I'm buying. More so the monitoring. he's spending money on stuff he probably knows he shouldn't be spending on, aka, you know, the booty club, right? So like, video games. Dude, he just formats in. He's already on that?
Starting point is 00:36:05 Maybe he's been on that. I mean, that's where my mind goes. Like, you don't want me to see, you don't want to see what I'm spending on. It's like I'm probably spending on something that I shouldn't. That I don't want you to know. It's probably not the worst thing in the world, but it's like, I don't even want to have to argue about this. But even like, let you have your own thing, that you buy whatever, like,
Starting point is 00:36:23 Like, I get that. Like, that's your personal privacy thing. Because even if you're married, you deserve your own personal stuff. For sure. I don't think that, don't buy it with a joint account. Like, the joint account should also have some type of rules, dog. Like, this is for home goods when I go shopping for generations. And this is for the bills.
Starting point is 00:36:42 Just adding everything into the, I mean, assuming a joint account means all your money is together. I do not. And you're not married to. I am not. Do you think if you're married and Daniela is like, hey, let's get a joint account? Does that feel restrictive to guys? Does that feel like, oh, no. Because I'm putting, like, as a woman, I would put my money in there too.
Starting point is 00:37:02 I mean, I don't mind it. She's actually been asking me, let's do it. We just haven't had time to do it. But it doesn't, to me, it doesn't matter because if she asked me for money, I'll just send it over. It's not like, we should be like, hey, can you pay this? Cool. Yeah. Like, it's not like, so we're practically having joint accounts.
Starting point is 00:37:17 Guys saying joint account means I can get into your personal. No, I think to me, what it seems like is she's trying to get. on to his account that he already has. Well, a joint account. No, it'll be totally different. It's a separate account. You can have your own personal and then you can have another one. But you can also add like your wife
Starting point is 00:37:35 to your current like you have a personal check and you can also add them. That'd be lame. That's just give me the past, give me the password to your account. Yeah, give me your pin. Yeah. Give me the pin. Give me your pin. It's a stick up. From what I know of joint accounts, it's a separate account.
Starting point is 00:37:50 Each has their own and then there's a joint account. And honestly, I know dudes to monitor what the joint account gets more than girls. I know this from my sister because she has a joint account with her husband. And we went to home goods the other day and she's like, I can't buy any more Halloween stuff because. And I'm like, dude is August. He's like, yeah, but Oscar C's. But let the if you buy it. And I sell you.
Starting point is 00:38:16 You don't know what you're going to. She codes. But I see dudes more up. It's more up on what gets hit up in the joint accounting girls. I've never seen a girl check up like that. Yeah. I don't know. I mean, I think it's also because like me, I have this habit of buying unnecessary things
Starting point is 00:38:34 and like using Klarna just so it feels better. Yeah, it feels better. You can pay this. So it's like, yeah, I didn't spend $100. I spent $30. Yeah. Three months. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:43 I like that. I like the way you think. I'm right there with you, bro. Yeah. All right. Hit us up. Let's help Steve. Yeah, let's help Steve.
Starting point is 00:38:49 He clearly doesn't trust his wife. He doesn't want to see... And he clearly has some shopping habits that he may be embarrassed about. Yes, he doesn't want her to see something. He's hiding something. Or what is a solution? If you're married and happily, okay? Let's add that.
Starting point is 00:39:02 Happily married with a joint account. They want to stay together too. Does a joint account help or hurt a marriage? Okay? Let's find out so we can help our guy, Steve. All right, check this out, homie. You need a homie or need some help. We need your help.
Starting point is 00:39:16 We need a line. I mean, phone line. We got you for. The homie help line. Steve needs help. He was cool with splitting the bills, but the joint account is too far, all right? True. Now he's crossing the line.
Starting point is 00:39:30 He wants to know how to tell his girl no without starting a huge argument about not getting a joint account. Yeah. They've been married for four months. Yeah. She's asking him for a joint account. Yep. It's a lot. Sounds valid to me.
Starting point is 00:39:45 It sounds like a valid request, but what's crazy is that you say joint account to a dude and And Big, tell us how nervous you got. Just thinking about it. Yeah, like my spine started tingling. Yeah. Like, I'm like, I'm going to have to do that one day? Ah, you know? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:02 And then he's saying, our guy, Steve is saying, you know, I don't want her to see what I purchased. Like, I want this to be my own. And I guess this is a real thing. Yeah. So I'm going to shut up. All I am is a woman. So I'm going to shut up and let the men talk. That's the freedom.
Starting point is 00:40:19 No, yeah. It is, it is just a, I mean, it's part of commitment, right? And a lot of us guys, like, let's be real, we have some commitment issues. And it's also keeping track, being monitored. Like, we left school a long time ago. Like, we don't want to be monitored. You know what I'm saying? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:34 And you can even, like, not be spending money on anything. Like, yeah. It just feels like. Why is she watching? Micromanaged. Yeah. And what's crazy is her intention is probably like, yeah, it'd be so much easier. If we could just put money in here and then from here, we pay the bills.
Starting point is 00:40:47 Or her brain is like, no. Organized. Yeah. I've been here. Vic, get to three months. Yes. Okay,
Starting point is 00:40:55 I've been the girl that's like, hey, let's do join because it makes it easier because we don't have to worry, we don't have to send out invoices to each other because that's what we do. Like, hey,
Starting point is 00:41:03 can you help me pay for this? Can you pay for this? It's like, I'll put it there and then auto pay. Yeah. And then boom. And then that's fine. What I was thinking to is,
Starting point is 00:41:12 I mean, that's valid. To be honest, a lot of times women are pretty good with the finances, right? Like, you know, and so it's like they can help. And if I splurge on my Stanlies, then my splurge on my stee, I deserve it.
Starting point is 00:41:25 I deserve it. Everyone does it a little bonus little treat. Don't look at how many times I went to Starbucks. Forget about it. Can you imagine the bill's like 200 on Stanleys? Like what? What? Yeah, no, but my worst nightmares.
Starting point is 00:41:39 Why the lights off? But you have seven Stanley? Literally. My worst nightmares is like my girl being like, you spent $70 on NBA 2K? like again like for the net for the like like you know that that's embarrassing but you don't want to be told about yeah i don't want to hear about it i understand i'm doing the purchase exactly so it's it's little things like that like maximo said micromanaging you can't do that on your solo account though yeah but you know it's like there's a lot of debit cards i might just go you know if my direct
Starting point is 00:42:08 deposit goes in there i'd rather have it go there it just gets complicated then don't do that there gets complicated and you're making it complicated and um there's more my back hurts already thinking about it so we have callers and I want to hear what they say. Yeah. Who do we got? We have Frankie from Riverside Online 7. Irene, hold on what did you say? I mean, like once he thinks say money, all the guys are like, what?
Starting point is 00:42:28 Yeah, because we like, we always get girl called. We always get girl calls. And today, the men are awake and they are agitated. My wallet, my wallet. All of a sudden, they know our number. But anyway, we have Frankie from Riverside on Line 7. Frankie. Brown, Brown.
Starting point is 00:42:46 Hey. Frankie, let me hear you bark, you dog. Woo, roo, roo, roo. What's up, Frankie? What do you think about Steve's situation? Okay, so what you do, I mean, you said he's married with the chick. Yeah. You got a picture with her.
Starting point is 00:43:01 So what you do is you open up a brand-new bank account with her. That becomes your joint. You still keep your personal. Yeah. And like I think Les, you said, you just automatic transfer a certain amount of money. And at the end of the month, whatever is that, you just put that to a savings in that joint account for whatever. future pens you have.
Starting point is 00:43:18 Yeah, you still keep your person in account. That feels like the right answer. That feels like the right answer. Why do you think guys are so against doing that? I mean, but I think that's the best solution to it. Keep your wife happy and you still keep the person on account. True. I mean, I would be for it.
Starting point is 00:43:39 So she worked, you know? Yeah. So, I mean, I'd be for it. I don't know why he would have be for it. Yeah. He says he doesn't like her. He doesn't like her watching what he's buying. And I'm going to tell you this right now.
Starting point is 00:43:51 She's gonna be watching what you buy anyway She lives in the house with you dog Like forget what's in the job I'm seeing you play your 2K You can't bring home a PS5 Yeah I'm gonna talk smack about the stuff that you bring in the house Yeah Like you got what I'm saying
Starting point is 00:44:05 It's like unless you don't want her to see your subscriptions That could be it There's maybe a couple subscriptions that It's personal Yeah more fools on the line area and who we got Yep we have Andrew from Palmdale online Come on Palmdale what up Palmdale what up Andrew?
Starting point is 00:44:21 Andrew. What up, Brown Bag? How are y'all doing? Amazing. Hey, but you got to bark. Woo-woo-woo-woo-woo-woo.
Starting point is 00:44:27 Woo-woo. What do you think about Steve's situation, Andrew? Hey, man, I think he's just straight-up tripping, to be honest, but you like, the joint account is, it's a simple, honest, easy thing to do, especially if you married. Like, you guys got all these bills together. Like, why would you want to say, oh, this yo half? Like, oh, did you pay half the Hulu bill?
Starting point is 00:44:50 Did you pay half the YouTube TV bill? Like, just put it all in the joint account and, you know, it just auto pay that. Like, you could still keep your, you can still keep your personal accounts. Like, me and my girls do the same thing. Yeah, exactly, you know, and then realistically, like, it's easier for you to budget, too, because then it's like when you get paid, you don't have to be like, oh, dang, like all my rent and this and that and that just got pulled out. Sci-fi. What?
Starting point is 00:45:16 I had a question for her. Yeah. He just puts my points. The best men are in Palmdale? Yeah, it's because they have nothing else. Get it, get it, get it, get it. Yeah, I'm telling you, that's the right answer. Just get it to join a count dog.
Starting point is 00:45:30 Because not getting it is going to give you more fights than getting it. Okay, but to me, it's also like this could be a slippery slope. I always think about, okay, this is where it starts, but where does it end? Oh, my God. Right? This is not the end. This is not the end of it. And forever.
Starting point is 00:45:46 It never ends up for, it. It never ends up, actually. It's marriage. It's very. It starts with a joint account, then they want to dress you. Yeah. Oh my God, I hate that. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:45:56 Then they want all your life insurance. You know what's so funny is that would we get with you? We slowly start to change how you dress anyways and you guys are so dumb. You don't notice. Because you do the shopping. Never. Yeah. Dude, my grandma, like literally will tell my grandpa like, take that shirt off.
Starting point is 00:46:14 And I swear. And then. Portu bien for your own good. Yes, yes. It looks stupid. There's a stain on it. There's a hole. And then he throws away his shirts.
Starting point is 00:46:22 My mom does that too. She throws away his shirt. And he'll be like, thank you? No. He'll be like, he'll be like, Amor, don'tista? And then she'll be like, no say. And then like, it's like, yo, she threw it away. Like, you didn't even know.
Starting point is 00:46:36 Like, and then she's slick too because my grandpa is super like he notices everything. So she can't just throw away in the regular trash. She probably went to like the L.A. fitness and threw it away. And Vick, just for just for sake of the story, they do they or do they not have a joint account? Oh, yeah. Yeah, they have a joint account for sure. And they've been happily married for like 50 years. Look, the key to marriage, a joint account.
Starting point is 00:46:55 Yes. Wait, do we have more fools online? Yeah, we have one last fool on the life. Okay. His name is T from L.A. online. T. Oh, T. Is that?
Starting point is 00:47:04 Yeah, how you doing? T. T. What are you guys doing that? Woo, woo, woo, woo. What's good, Tee? What up, Tee? Woo, roo, roo, roo.
Starting point is 00:47:10 I just want you guys to know when you call it in and you bark, it makes me happy. What do you think about Steve's situation? I mean, you simply got to look at it like this. The same way you go in. going to be the same way you go out, which you allow in the beginning is what you're going to accept in the end. Oh, my gosh. Or you can just simply say no or just look at it like this.
Starting point is 00:47:29 Yeah. If they're on the same phone bill contract, he might as well let it go. Yeah, because the phone, T, you bring up a great point. I feel like being on the same phone plan is way trickier than having a joint account. Because you can have your separate personal account and do whatever you do. But if you're on the same family plan, that means she can see who you're calling. That she means she can see who you're texting just by logging. into the gap.
Starting point is 00:47:52 Yeah. But yeah, like to T's point, to look at it like that. To T's point, it's like, yeah, it's like it's not, this is just where it starts, not where it ends, right? No.
Starting point is 00:48:02 That's what you guys said. Tea said that the same when you get in is the same way you get out. Yeah. I don't know. It's pimping. I don't know what T said, but I believe T.
Starting point is 00:48:10 T, I believe you and you're right. Yeah, I know, but you got to look at it the simple way. Okay. That's it. Put us up on game. Put us up on game. What is how you get into it,
Starting point is 00:48:19 means how you get out of it. No, like, what you allow in the beginning is what you're going to accept in the end pretty much. So what you allow when you start, like, if people allow it. He has to say no and stand his ground. Put your foot down and say no, my boy. That's what I'm talking about, T. No, because this is what I'm going to tell you, as his wife, he's stuck with her for a long
Starting point is 00:48:41 time, probably forever, right? So you say no, he's like, how do I say no without starting a fight, right? Yeah. It's just going to be constant. Any time there's a big bill or whatever, she's going to think of the joint account that you don't have. Yeah. Anytime things like this or another couple comes up or she goes over someone's house and they talk about how there's a joint account, that's another fight I'm mad at you about. It could be a random day.
Starting point is 00:49:04 We could have the best day and someone rolls the joint and you're like, remember we don't have a joint account? It's going to be a whole thing. It's going to be more fights. Just get the joint account, man. Did you hear about somebody broke his joint? Yeah. Yeah. Like the joint account.
Starting point is 00:49:18 We don't have. Our one of those things. We helped them? I don't know. Get the Jordan cow! Simp or pimp. So we got a sim here. Who's the sim this time?
Starting point is 00:49:36 Who's the sim, Maximo? So this Stranger Things fan has been going viral. Because she got catfished. She? So we got a girl's simp on her hands. Wow. That's the first. In your face.
Starting point is 00:49:50 In your face, women. And so what ended up happening is that she ended up leaving her husband. Oh, my God. And even sending about $10,000 to who she thought was Dacker Montgomery. Who's D'Againter Things? Oh, one of the actors from Stranger Things. Which one does he? He plays Billy.
Starting point is 00:50:11 Billy. Oh, okay, okay. So Billy is like the cool kind of, he has like a mullah. Right. But the funniest thing is how it happened. So I guess she was on the forum, and that's where she found her piece after leaving, like having issues with her husband.
Starting point is 00:50:26 Online forum? Online forum, of course. And then she got a DM by somebody who was playing Dacra Montgomery. Wow. Was playing him? He's playing a dude, playing another dude, playing another dude. Okay, she thought she was talking to this actor. She wasn't.
Starting point is 00:50:44 She was talking to somebody else. Yes. Oh, God. And he just finished her. And the way he got to her heart is this. Okay, that's one thing that we actually bonded over. And basically through the relationship, he was venting to me after a few months about his partner, saying she's very controlling of him.
Starting point is 00:51:01 He doesn't get to do the things he wants to do. You know, she's always there. She's always got to supervise. And I kind of empathize with that because my ex-husband was that way. Okay. So what did they have in common? Stranger Things? They have strange things comments.
Starting point is 00:51:16 They were being controlled by their partners. Oh. Okay. So he used that to kind of break her down. Yeah. And gave her that almost like the bonding. Yeah. Trauma bonding.
Starting point is 00:51:28 Trauma bonding. But this whole time she thought she was talking to another fool. She thought she was getting catfish. She thought she was talking to this actor full from Stranger Things. Yes. If you've seen stranger things, it is not a love story. Wow. Wait, so are you saying that?
Starting point is 00:51:49 If you've seen Stranger Things, there's no one. There's 11, though. Yes. That's the girl's name. Can you get stranger than this? I think you're putting down the wrong one. Yeah. It's okay.
Starting point is 00:51:59 Hold on. Are you saying that her life got turned upside down? I'm so dumb. There's kids in the car. Let's go! I know we're boomers and we make dumb jokes, but hey. Let's go. Okay. She fell for it.
Starting point is 00:52:14 Oh my gosh. You know what's crazy? There's those photos of people that get DMs that it's like, hey, this is Michael Jack I know that. Please don't tell anybody at the moment. Yeah, I know I'm dead. But please, if you could just send $1,000. And it looks stupid.
Starting point is 00:52:27 It's like, who would fall for that? And then there's these ladies. Somebody always falls for it. These simps that fall for it. And it's always on the internet. They want to believe. They want to believe. They want some excitement in life.
Starting point is 00:52:38 But she left her husband. That's the crazy part. And then she paid this full 10 grand. If he's in Stranger Things, he's making money. That is a hit show. He had to make some excuse. I always wanted, like, I'm a sick guy because I want to see all these messages.
Starting point is 00:52:51 You know? I want to see how the finesse happened. How did it get from A to Z? You know what I'm saying? To where it's like, yeah, like, you know, my, my, you know, my girls just so controlling, like, so I just really need $10,000. Like, how did you make that transition? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:53:05 It happens. It happens more to do, honestly. Like, this is a good, like, girls are usually like, yeah, I'm like, I'm having such a time. Can you pay my phone bill? Yeah. I'm sorry. So, like, can you buy these shoes?
Starting point is 00:53:15 That's why I love to hear this. Yeah. So I had a friend in high school in R. in RIP, her name was Joanna. Yeah. And she, in the Myspace era, she made a fake Myspace. Okay. And she, like, used a photo of somebody.
Starting point is 00:53:27 And she did it to troll everyone we knew. So when they I walk in, and she's talking to, like, my homies and different people and just catfishing them, like, telling them, like, meet me at the movie theater. And doing all these crazy things. And just, like, she would just die laughing. Just messing with that. Did you say she would just die laughing? Oh, sorry.
Starting point is 00:53:47 She's passed away right now. Jesus. Sorry. I'm mad. You said it. You said that. You said that. I've never heard you say die laughing.
Starting point is 00:53:58 Wow. I'm sorry. Now I'm real guilty. You should. She would laugh a lot. Laugh. No, but for real. And it was crazy.
Starting point is 00:54:06 All right. P to that girl. I'm so sorry. I love her to die. Whoa. Oh, no. You guys. Cut up my mic.
Starting point is 00:54:16 Cut off my mic. Get out of my mic. Get off my mind. What are you? This is Be Real from Cypress Hill. Where are you from, Esse? Don't you know I'm local? You know what's crazy?
Starting point is 00:54:35 When you think of Lakers and you think of Laker drama, it would feel like Derek Fisher is like the least problematic Laker. You know? You think like the drama between Kobe and Shagg. But then Derek Fisher's like, hey, hold my ball. Seriously. So Derek Fisher, and more notably after he got out of the Lakers, he started dating Matt Barnes's ex-wife. Yes.
Starting point is 00:54:59 Miss Govan. I believe her name is Gloria Govan. Yes. Gloria Govan. They started dating and Matt Barnes did was so upset that he even like had to drive. You drove 30 hours. Yeah, to go beat up. Legend has it.
Starting point is 00:55:10 Legend has it. He drove 30 hours just to be about the business. Yeah. Fast forward. See, this is proof that things can get better. Okay. Even with this little family drama. Fast forward.
Starting point is 00:55:22 Derek Fisher is now the head coach for his son Drew Fisher and Matt Barnes's twin boys, their high school. Wow. Derek Fisher is their coach. It seems like it's a nice thing, though, because I feel like Matt Barnes, if he had a problem, he would be about it. Oh, yeah. Like, especially, like, somebody like Matt Barnes, who, if you follow him on social media,
Starting point is 00:55:44 he's always posting his twins, working out in the gym. Isaiah and Cresby. They're, like, his pride and joy. No, Carter and Isaiah. They're his pride and joy, and, you know, I'm sure he wants to help them, you know, achieve their goals and get to the least. league and everything. So he's been, you know, having them work out.
Starting point is 00:56:00 Very involved. Exactly. And it's like he wants them to go further. So he wouldn't leave them in the hands of somebody he didn't trust. This low-key feels like a movie though because like Derek Fisher is Derek Fisher. Legend. Yeah. But Matt Barnes has like, he earned his stripes.
Starting point is 00:56:15 Oh, yeah. You know what I'm saying? So to see that this guy's coaching your son, this guy that also went to town with your girl. But. But and now you're seeing them play games. I wonder if as Matt Barnes, you're like, I can teach him better. Or like you're trying to jump in on the game.
Starting point is 00:56:34 Or will you let him coach? Oh, he's going to have to let him coach. Derek Fisher's going to have to let Matt Barnes coach? I mean, like, because as a parent, regardless if you are a coach or not, you're always coaching on the sidelines. You're always coaching after the game before the game. Oh, my gosh. It's going to be one of those things where it's like, this is my son.
Starting point is 00:56:54 Yep. You know? And it's like, yeah, but this is my, like, team. Right. Yeah. Yeah. And then it could get tricky. And then this is my stepson.
Starting point is 00:57:01 You stole my family. And it just, I don't know. You stole my family. Yeah. See? I'm hoping it's for the better. I feel like they are in a common understanding, but it is a trippy thing to see. I mean, those kids are essentially stepbrothers.
Starting point is 00:57:15 Right. Yeah, they are stepbrothers. Exactly. So it's like they've probably already been playing together. And like you said, yeah, what would be really dope and I would love to watch a TV show of if they were coach and assistant coach and that dynamic of like they're really like every day in it it get fishy yeah yeah i want to see that and and i'm i'm just like wow growth is real the parents of all the other teammates you're lucky because that's pretty cool yeah like i just be like whoa what's going on
Starting point is 00:57:41 i'm just waiting yeah yeah okay so here's what i'm thinking though too because clearly they've patched up that's amazing we all wish we could be that great that the person that ended up with my eggs, I am now letting coach our kids to get. That is just a lot. Damn. Hold on. Wait, when you put it like that, hold on. First you're going to take my girl. Yes. He's going to coach my kid? Yeah. Enough. Enough. This is chest moves. Imagine you have future kids and I don't mean to put it in you, but your girl, like, you're baby, you have a baby mama and she has a man. Imagine her man is coaching your son and then your future kids. Yeah. Like he's their coach for basketball. Yeah. And he's like really good at it.
Starting point is 00:58:21 And he has five championships. Yeah. Yeah. Jesus. They're When is it enough enough? Yeah, I know. You've taken everything. What more do I have? That means you can't miss a game. Matt Barnes cannot miss a game. Why?
Starting point is 00:58:34 Because the worst thing that happened is be like, oh yeah, but you weren't there. Yeah. Oh, what? And Fisher's so sweet, but I'm your son. I'll always be here for you. I love the drama. I'm here for me. I want to be there at every single game just to see like,
Starting point is 00:58:50 who's going to get out of there. Live from the high school basketball team. Yeah, that's cool. But I love that for them. Yeah, yeah, maturity. However, it did make me think of, like, parents coaching, right? Because even let the drama, the novella part, like, subside. Is it as someone that's part of the team, is it okay for,
Starting point is 00:59:11 or do you think it's a good thing or a bad thing? If your parents, the coach, I feel like they love you. There might be favoritism there. Oh, yeah. Like, why are you always starting? Yeah, for sure. As a coach, you know? I remember being on Little League teams and being like, okay, this is the son's coach.
Starting point is 00:59:28 And you just put it in your, the coach's son. You just put it in your head, like, that guy's going to get special treatment. Yeah. You know what I'm saying? And you just kind of know that like if there's a debate whether you're going to start at shortstop or he is, like he's going to get it unless you're so much better that it's so obvious. And see, there's a problem there too because if I'm your kid and you don't start me. Oh, it's drama. Because what, is Vaker favorite now?
Starting point is 00:59:50 Like he don't even, he don't even do anything. chores and then the mom and then the mom can get involved start our son what is your problem and at the same time like let's say you're the kid of a coach they're probably harder on you that that happens too you know for sure like you're not going to do laps at the at the workout or you're going to do them at home like it's going to be I wonder what is the what's the good and what's the bad of having a parent as a coach yeah my see what you would never coach like emmy soccer team or anything like that? Nah, because I for sure with starter.
Starting point is 01:00:21 I was a little Vicks assistant coach for baseball. Yeah, when he was playing baseball, like, when he was like four or five. And, yeah, I was the assistant coach. Like, the coach knew nothing about baseball. And I was like, dude, I got to step in. I'm like, I played like, I'm not like no super baller, but like I played before and I know a lot about baseball. So I had to step in and I was like, to be honest, I was like, I was really hard on
Starting point is 01:00:43 Vic. I was like, look at them. I'm like, look at them. He could throw the ball that hard. And I'm like, look at. you can do it too and I was like I was stressing myself out I'll walk out my back with hurt I would see you I would walk out my back with hurt of stress I was just like I felt yeah you just age so many years being a coach literally I want to hear from a coach of a kid like you coach your kid's team or you're a kid
Starting point is 01:01:03 that's like please get my dad to stop get my dad to stop being my soccer coach right now though we're talking about when your parent was your coach how is that a good thing or is it a bad thing to have a parent as a coach it would seem nice like I'm spending time with my kids like I could see the pros to it. Oh, yeah. My dad was my coach, best year ever. Seriously? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:01:25 Your dad was your coach for what? For baseball. For like one season, he was an assistant coach. And it was literally best time ever. Like he would get off work early. Yeah. Like it's like, oh, he's making the effort. Yeah, he would encourage me.
Starting point is 01:01:36 It was the best year of my life for sure. And then? And then he just like, I went to another team. They didn't need an assistant coach. And then he just kept working. But he still encouraged you. Yeah. But like we were just so close that year.
Starting point is 01:01:46 You know? We were like go to practice. together. I didn't need never need a ride to practice. You should hit him up right now. Like, hey, dad, remember when you were my coach? Dad, can you coach me again? Is it too late now? Yeah. It's too late from the encouragement. Yeah. Can we play catch one more time? Aw. Oh, that sounds sad. Don't hug him. He's going to cry. Yeah. Let's go to the phone lines, though. Talk to us, Irene. Who's on the line? We have Anthony from Torrance on line one. Anthony, good morning.
Starting point is 01:02:13 Good morning. Anthony, talk to us. What do you think of parents being coaches? Well, I had experience with my mom when I was younger. I played soccer and they didn't have enough coaches. So my mom wanted me to play. So she ended up being the coach and she does not know anything. Oh my gosh. So first of all, she saw like if I have no, there's no coach, there's no team. Yeah, she stepped up.
Starting point is 01:02:41 So she said, how hard this could this be? She hated it. He was like, I felt like I had to help her with everything. I was close. But she ended up, one of the players on the team's mom, ended up helping her and became, like, the assistant coach, but mainly. Really good friends at the end of it, like, for a long time. So it was pretty cool.
Starting point is 01:03:03 But, yeah, at first it was not very good. It was not. It's like, Mi'ho, do a touchdown. Mom, this is soccer. Mom, sucker. Didn't you guys bond over that, though? Even if she didn't know, it was like you guys spent a lot more time together. Or did it cause like now, like some feuds?
Starting point is 01:03:18 No, yeah, I think so. And then we bring it up now sometimes and it's pretty funny to think she's like, I don't know why I ever did that. I like that. She did that for you. She did that for you. She's really, that's so beautiful.
Starting point is 01:03:30 To me, I think that's beautiful. I'm like, mom, get out of here. I'm trying to get some chicks. What was your team name? I have no idea. You don't remember? You just blacked it out of your memory? Do you ever call her coach mom?
Starting point is 01:03:45 Coach mom. Do it. See what she does. No, that's awesome. She didn't know anything. And what I'm finding out is that the assistant coaches are the actual coaches. It sounds like it. Yes.
Starting point is 01:03:57 Yes. Like the coaches are like there for like to have a coach, but it's the assistant is like, let me do everything. No, literally. Kind of like Maximo and Irene. All right. Shot Spire. I was going to make you fun. Hey, my mom's going to call me.
Starting point is 01:04:13 Stop making fun of Maximo. So, we have Carlos on light too from Orange. Carlos from Orange. Carlos. Good morning. How you guys are doing? Amazing. You sound like a coach.
Starting point is 01:04:26 Are you? I was never a coach. I was assistant coach. I helped. Assistant coach. But I got all the heat from the parents. So, you know what I mean? Like they're kids or what have you.
Starting point is 01:04:38 Were you coaching your kid? Yeah. My kid was on. That's the only reason I coached. My baby and mom at the time. wanted to be, you know what I mean, like to coach him or whatever. It was little league. He was probably like, oh, like six, seven or so.
Starting point is 01:04:50 Yeah. And I know it was cool because it was good bonding time too, you know what I mean? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. But there's a lot of pressure at the same time. I bet.
Starting point is 01:04:58 You got to start your kid, but then you got to start other people's kids. So I mean, it's stressful. Yeah. I never did it again. You can't let people know that your favorite, favoriting your kid, but also like that, you have their parents coming at you and like, you're a parent too. Like, what, bro? Like, you want to go?
Starting point is 01:05:14 you want to go hands? I'm sure you had people that were like, you better win this. Why isn't Jimmy starting? It's a lot of pressure. A lot of pressure. Yeah, no, because when I was coaching my son, it's like, yeah, I want all the kids to, like, get better and stuff.
Starting point is 01:05:26 But I'm over, like, secretly to my son, like, we're trying to get a scholarship. You know what I'm saying? Hey, bro, but there's also a lot of moms. Ooh. Oh. True or not true? True, true.
Starting point is 01:05:41 Yeah. How is that? Not a mom's a step. I mean, it was cool. How did this ups and down? Yeah. I mean, it looks cool. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 01:05:48 You start the mom's kids. Yeah. Whose kid has the, whose kid had the hottest mom? This was years ago. I don't remember. Bro, the answer is your kid's mom. The answer is your kid's mom because that's baby mama.
Starting point is 01:06:02 I'm trying to help you out here, bro. Nah. That's funny. Now that you mentioned it, I would look up in the stands and be like, ooh. Ooh. Ah. Ooh.
Starting point is 01:06:10 Uh, uh, uh. Single mom vibes. Don't worry. I'll take care of him. I'm teaching the rope. He said, right? Yeah. Do you suggest, okay, so you stopped.
Starting point is 01:06:19 So see, our guy, Andrew, his mom was a coach, and she didn't know what she was doing. And so he's like, yeah, I don't do that. And you were a coach for one season, and then you're like, I can't do that. Yeah, yeah, no. It's not because I didn't know what I was doing. It's just too much stress from the parents. Too much. Not liking the parents.
Starting point is 01:06:38 Yeah, the other parents are. Yeah. It's very demanding as well. I bet. Yeah, it is. Yeah, it is. Okay, so hey, parents, stop it. If you're the coach, don't do it.
Starting point is 01:06:47 If you're doing your kids, don't do it. No, we need it. It's like, you need those volunteers. Everyone that called in, everyone has given me bad experience. I actually had a good experience coaching. Who had a good experience coach? Let me hear it. I was actually like 14, 15 years old and I used to coach kids basketball.
Starting point is 01:07:01 No, coaching your kid. No, I know. I'm saying like coaching was fun. Yeah. But like, I can't imagine coaching my kid. And that's what I'm saying. That's the topic. I know.
Starting point is 01:07:09 I'm just saying coaching is fun. Okay. We volunteers, guys, go coach. Yeah, we need more volunteers. Okay, no, no, no. I want to hear from a coach that's a parent that had like a good experience because we don't have them. No. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:07:21 Where they at? Okay. To coach or not to coach your kid's team? That is the question. Okay. It sounds nice. It sounds amazing. Yeah, I teach my kid's softball team.
Starting point is 01:07:30 Yeah, I teach my kid's soccer team. But is it worth it? Okay. Is it worth it for the kid? Is it worth it for the coach? So far, we've had both a kid whose mom was a coach. And according to Andrew, she knows anything. It was weird.
Starting point is 01:07:43 I don't know what she did. Get back in the kitchen, mom. That's what he sounded like. That's what he sounded like. Vic, no, he didn't. Yes, he did. He sounded like she stepped in when no one else did. Yeah, she just didn't know about sport.
Starting point is 01:07:55 That's what I'm saying. Yeah. He wanted her to make her making pizza rolls. Hey, Andrew, that was Vic. That talks about your mom. I didn't say that. He secretly thought that. He said, go back home watch Laura.
Starting point is 01:08:04 Yeah. On more pizza rolls, man. Andrew Vic wants to turn your mom's flapjacks. What? Oh, pancakes. Adding few to the fire. You know, see how to make tortillas. Oh, God.
Starting point is 01:08:19 We are hilarious. And then we also had the other homie that was like, A, I was the coach for one year because all the other parents, it was just too much stress. Yeah. Too much stress to not start my kid, but also it's my kid, so I want to. Too many hot moms.
Starting point is 01:08:33 I got a baby mom. I got to do it, all that stuff. Who we got to the love, baby girl? We have Haimeet on 9-11. Jaime. Jaime. Haime. Yes
Starting point is 01:08:41 Jaime you are a coach Yes Do you coach your kids' teams I coach Well I coach my kids team He's 19 years old now And then I had a 16 year old too That I had done it
Starting point is 01:08:54 You know I volunteer coaching And everything Wow so is this something you like doing You think it's a good thing Yes Yeah I like doing it I like doing it
Starting point is 01:09:03 You know there's so much selling out there Yeah There's so much selling out there You know So I just like doing it What teams are they Like what sports do they play?
Starting point is 01:09:11 It was baseball. Mostly baseball. I got my two-year-oldest playing baseball. One is about to play community college. You're almost a junior in high school. Oh, this is a dream right here. Yeah, that's awesome. I'm like an athlete's over here.
Starting point is 01:09:23 Do you find yourself bonding with them more? Yes and no, because you could hurt them at the same time being tough on them. And I was really tough on my oldest. I ain't a lie. And I know, you know, to this day he brings it out sometime and goes, you're really tough on me. So it could hurt them and it can help them in the long run. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:09:39 Yeah. But you say it was for your own good, Micho? Do you see you? Yeah, exactly. You're doing great right now. You know, not in this world, you got to be tough on these kids, you know what I mean? So that's the way I see it. I can't.
Starting point is 01:09:50 I'm a sucker, dude. I'm not going to lie. But talk to me about, like, coaching. Did other parents ever think you're showing favoritism? You said you were hard on your oldest, but were other people like, hey, why aren't you starting my kid? Or how was it dealing with, like, other kids and their parents? You know, I wasn't really about favoritism. If I knew my kid had it, you know, I'm not.
Starting point is 01:10:09 I'm going to start them before anybody don't get me wrong, you know, but I was still, even in practice, I was harder on my kid than anybody else. And everybody used to see that. And then the parents be like, why are you harder on your kid? I go for a reason for the same reason because I don't be like, oh, you're, you know, he's on the team. He's playing. Yeah. Yeah. Would you be able to disconnect from coaching and being a dad?
Starting point is 01:10:28 Like, it was like, okay, this is coaching time. And then we get home and it's like, I can be nice to you or did it carry over, like, to where it was all time you were just a coach. Like even at home. Yeah. Your coach dad. It kind of, don't get me wrong, it was, it kind of carry over sometimes. Even when I was in coaching, when I see them play for high school, I go, why didn't you do this?
Starting point is 01:10:46 Why didn't you do it this way? He tells me, you know, so, you know, I was always negative about it, but I was like, honestly, they're a number one fan no matter what. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. If I'm not impressed by you. And the most important part is that you cared, that you were, like, wanting them to go.
Starting point is 01:11:00 Yeah, honestly, yeah. And I still do it to this day. Like I said, I got a junior in high school, and he tells me, oh, I went one for three. I go, yeah, what about the other two at that? Oh, yeah. Hey, he's still batting 300. Yeah, when he's like batting for the Dodgers and home runs or no hitters, he's like, yeah, but can you do that two in a row? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:11:19 Yeah, I'm just being honest, you know, I mean, I always been tough on that. Yeah, I'm always tough on him, you know, so. Yeah, he said, All-Star is good, but try Hall of Fame. True. Okay. So if you're a tough parent, you will like coaching for your kids. Yeah, yeah. Honestly, I like it.
Starting point is 01:11:33 You know, I got a five-year-old coming up, so we'll see there. Oh. Let's talk to your kids. be like, don't do it. It's the worst ever. There's no dad relationship. It's just coach. Do you find yourself,
Starting point is 01:11:46 do you find, like, the older one complaining that you're harder, you were harder on him than them? Than the younger ones? He tells them too. Yeah, he tells my father. Why should you get older? He tells them, my father,
Starting point is 01:11:58 watch when you get older. You're going to see how he's going to. Dad's going to turn into a different person. I'm learning my letters, man. No, that's awesome. There's the pro. Thanks, Iman. There's the pro to the con.
Starting point is 01:12:11 Yeah, I mean, he got his kids to, like, you know, be legitimately good at the sport. Yeah. But I could already imagine the conversations. Like, especially at the dinner plate. Yes, literally. I wonder if they call him dad or coach at home. Coach dad. Coach, I mean.
Starting point is 01:12:28 Coach dad.
