Starting point is 00:00:00 What's up? This is Be Real from Cypress Hill. Where are you from, Esse? Don't you know I'm local? Buenos Diaz. Hey! It's a girl Irene, Philly, and for Leti today. I was going to say this week. It's only today. I'm sorry. I'm sorry.
Starting point is 00:00:16 I'm manifesting. No, that like that, that like that. I just mean, like, to have my own daily segment. Friday. You're keeping that. Oh, letty's going to be here in 10 minutes. I know. She's just going to poop.
Starting point is 00:00:34 She's going to, oh, man. Okay. So, speaking of other spooky stuff. So spooky season is upon us, which is my favorite season. But the one thing I hate about spooky season is spiders. And apparently it is their time to shine. Damn. What is it like?
Starting point is 00:00:51 So the cold and the wetness pause are like caused the spiders to come out. Oh. Yeah. And then no. And it's crazy because it's not the little spiders or the long leg ones. It's the big Harry Potter. status one. Shut up.
Starting point is 00:01:05 Yeah. That's so cool. No, ew, they're disgusting. I've always wanted to hold that all right. That is so nasty. I'm old, but the one's like home alone? I was about to say, home alone. Why did that one freak me out so much as a kid?
Starting point is 00:01:19 I don't know. I've always wanted to hold one. No, you're crazy. They're like very light. You can't even feel them. I don't know. The funniest thing is I told Irene like, look, and I sent her like the spider thing. She's like, unsend it.
Starting point is 00:01:31 Oncende. Yeah, she's that terrified. I'm so terrified of spiders. Yesterday they had tarantulas on the TV, and, like, everybody was like, oh, look, and I turned around and I screamed. Like, I'm that afraid of them. I hate them. In sixth grade, my teacher put a tarantula on my desk, and that was when my fear began. You have arachnophobia?
Starting point is 00:01:50 Yes, I'm terrified of them. That's really dramatic, and you need to grow up with you. You're a grown adult. You could smush it with your fists. No, but they're so big and hairy. Like, I could kill the little ones. Wow. Wow, the innocent one.
Starting point is 00:02:03 Like, because, yeah, because they're small, you just smush them. But the big ones. Peter's hearing. I know. I don't care. But anyway, apparently they're going to be coming out and about, and they're going to be hiding, like, in the corners of your house, and they hide under your car and the, like, the front door.
Starting point is 00:02:23 And they say that if they, if you have them, it's because you have critters in your home, obviously. So I know they're, like, natures. What is it? critters like bugs like roaches oh okay okay okay okay stuff like that I'm learning a lot today yeah yeah yeah I used to let little like the daddy long legs I used to let them stay alive in my room when I was younger because I'd be like yo they kill the bugs they do they do they clean up the bugs you know so I was good I'm like is that what their purposes yeah yes they wrap them up and squeeze the life out of them Jesus yeah they're like little vampires that's what
Starting point is 00:03:00 They do, but they still suck. But scientists say that most of these spiders, like, they won't cause harm. They're more afraid of us and we are of them, but I don't care. And that a lot of them aren't venomous. So we don't have to be afraid of them, but I'm still afraid of them. I don't care. You can not convince me. The only ones I'm afraid of are the ones in Australia that are big as a wall.
Starting point is 00:03:21 See, I highly doubt that. No, they are. You see like a size of a quarter, you're probably like, ah! No, no. Oh, I'll smush them. Smush them good. But not, the big ones. See, it's because I know like, all animals, right, at the end of the day, right?
Starting point is 00:03:39 Mammals. Not me. I'm a lady. Okay. So it's like, you know, when it comes down to it, like we, if needed, if we needed to, we can take these spiders out, the small ones, the ones that are, you know, within reasonable size. But the huge ones, I don't know. They're probably going to take me out. And that's what I'm afraid of.
Starting point is 00:03:59 Because I don't want to die at the hands of a spider. And that's why I want to ever go to Australia, even though it's really beautiful, and I want to go to the opera house over there. No, they're big Angie. They're like as big as me. Yeah, I'm telling you. They're huge.
Starting point is 00:04:12 Google, everybody, I want you to Google Australian spiders right now. Human size. No, it's not. They're huge. They're huge. Oh, no. Yes.
Starting point is 00:04:21 Hold on. Where'd you come from? What are you just watching? Oh, my. But anyway. Hold on, look, Australian spiders. We're going to put this up on Brownback mornings. No, we're not.
Starting point is 00:04:36 Yes. No, we're not. You're doing it. I can't even look at a picture of a spider. I'm not in charge of socials today. That is going to be up. Oh, my God. They're so huge.
Starting point is 00:04:47 Yeah. You're saying that won't scare you? They're bigger than... Bigger than your whole hand. Okay, you guys, you're going to judge me for this, but like, I like grabbing... I like finding spider webs when I was... little.
Starting point is 00:05:00 Not anymore. Like finding spider webs and then getting like a fly and tossing it in there so I can see the spider roll it and kill it and eat it. That's kind of cool. But I'm in nature. So you've been evil since the child. I've just been curious. She just wanted to see the circle of life happen right before her eyes.
Starting point is 00:05:17 Exactly. That's good. But it's pretty cool if you guys ever do that. No. All right. You guys. So coming up next, we have Simp of the Week. We're going to crown a Simper the Week?
Starting point is 00:05:28 Yes. All right. We had a week full of the week. The SIMS? I love when it's not me. We're going to find out. Who's the winner? I don't know what you heard about me, but I'm a motherfucking SIMP SIPS of the week.
Starting point is 00:05:41 Sips, Sips, Sips, Sips, Sips, Sips, Sips, Sips, Sips, Sips, Sips. Who we got, Maximum. Who's the SEM? Man, we got five, four sims to pick from. Four nominees. Four nominees. And we started on Monday. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:59 And it came from Bad Bunny and Kendall Jenner's Gucci commercial. Oh, yeah. Oh, you're right. It was about couples that match. Yeah. Our couples that match Simpy. Yeah. So cute.
Starting point is 00:06:09 On Tuesday, we had Joey Chavez, who is the baby mama future in Bow Wow. Yes. And just recently got a tattoo of her new dude, Trayvon Diggs. Oh, yes. The football player. Yep. Which, you know, gain tattoos. They're not even together, like, officially.
Starting point is 00:06:27 They don't have kids together. And they say it's a curse. I don't know. if it's true. Definitely. Yeah, right. That's your dad. That's your dad?
Starting point is 00:06:35 And Wednesday, we had the one and only sexy red. Sexy Red. And, you know, I'm going to play a little bit of what she said. I want my baby daddy sitting in jail. Why? Because he's safer in there.
Starting point is 00:06:46 The streets ain't safe. He used to be getting shootouts and stuff. All kind of trouble. So when he got locked up, it set him down. So, one, she wanted to keep him in jail. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:57 Yeah. Yeah. She's protecting. him. She's protecting him. It sounds nice in a way, right? Yeah. But then they asked, what about if he comes out and would you, can he live off your money? Or can, what would happen if he blew up because like, you started making money? Yeah, listen. Don't live off money. I guess you're going about living our money. That's not that, but he might be inspired off what you got going and he wanted to do right. No. Because y'all do you got to kill together. No, I ain't with him, dude.
Starting point is 00:07:27 He didn't turn out. I'm jealous. I'm gonna get a bread with him. I'm gonna hate on him if he turned up. So, hold on. She wants to be the one that pops off only. Oh my God. So much hating her blood for him.
Starting point is 00:07:45 I don't want him to do nothing. And then yesterday, this is the one I always got to ask for forgiveness. Oh, yeah. You know, because I want no drama. The queen B. The queen. The one and only. Me?
Starting point is 00:07:56 No. Beyonce Not only me You taught me so many things You taught me how to be a woman You taught me how to be a woman Her speech to Jay Z for his birthday Was
Starting point is 00:08:18 What I needed She was ukeling over there Yeah she was ukeling like Oh my God You did so much for me Like she definitely wanted to cry Yes And at the end she's like
Starting point is 00:08:28 I'll pray for you every day I thank God for you every day Oh yes she did say You taught me how to be a woman Yes How can a man, she's crazy. According to the ladies in the room. That's what she's,
Starting point is 00:08:36 talk to the queen of it. I know. I guess a question of, when you think you're in love, you say stupid things. Oh, and you are very delusional. You don't think she's in love?
Starting point is 00:08:45 She's definitely in love. Yeah. All I keep thinking is like, full, like she gave you that whole speech. And he's so cheated. Stop it. Why you got to bring a bowl stuff? It happened.
Starting point is 00:08:55 It happened. She moved down. You move on. I don't know what happened in that elevator, but he deserved it. No. Lemonade is a popular drink and it still is.
Starting point is 00:09:02 It was all to produce the fault. It was my favorite album. See, you wouldn't have that without the situation. So you think she was pretty simple for that? Super, yeah. Yeah. Oh, okay. I mean, I'm stuck between sexy red and then I'm stuck with and Beyonce.
Starting point is 00:09:20 I think Beyonce. She's the pimp. Yeah, low-key sexy red is pimped. She's got to keep him down so she can stay on time. She don't want to give him a dollar, a dime penny, a nickel. And she's going to be hating on him. If he starts popping, I get it. I get it.
Starting point is 00:09:32 get it. I'd be hate you too. Wow. Why are you? No. What you mean? What do you mean? Why would somebody be popping off me? Like, no, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, do your own work? You're together. No, they're not. They're not together. No, they're not together. Yeah, he's, she said it in multiple interviews.
Starting point is 00:09:49 That's my baby daddy, but we're not together. All right, so if Prius pop up to get popping off of you, you're going to be like, nope. Yeah. No. Whoa. That's what we call. Yeah. I was probably like, the fuck you mean, fool. Whoa. Whoa. I was like, whoa. Yo. She said fun,
Starting point is 00:10:03 my brother. I know, yeah, yeah. Damn. So are we giving this to Beyonce? We have to. We have no choice. We can't be afraid of the beehive or we should put on like a bee catchers.
Starting point is 00:10:14 When we walk out of here, let's make sure to put on a bee. We can fit it like very fastly. Yeah, just saw. Sam, Sam, Sam, Sam, Sam, Sam, Sam. Next we got scrolling with the homies. Sorry, Beyonce. Shout out to Beyonce.
Starting point is 00:10:28 Scrolling with the homies. Hey. Brown Bag Morning's Power 106. Yes. And we're scrolling with the homies and Maximo found somebody doing somewhere doing nothing. Right. So if you thought you were in the wrong, if you thought you were in a wrong business, well, I'm here to tell you you are. Okay.
Starting point is 00:10:46 A man in Tokyo is making six figures of doing nothing. Wow. Hold on. What do you mean nothing? Listen. Where it is? I'm listening. In Tokyo, this man makes over six figures a year.
Starting point is 00:11:01 doing nothing. Shawji Morimoto is a professional nothing doer, but don't get it twisted because he takes his job very seriously. For just $85 per session, you can pay Shorgi to be around you not saying or doing much. He will, however, answer simple questions with one or two word sentences and accompany you to eat or drink anything, just as long as you pay the bill. Oh my God. Yo, I used to have somebody at my old job at Wells Fargo, did the exact same. same thing. I was going to say, there people hear that do that. Like, they in the U.S.
Starting point is 00:11:35 does I do that? Oh, no. Oh, no, no, no, no, no. That's not I corrected. That's what I corrected my phone. That's what I corrected my. Don't talk about my homie like that. He don't got a mic, all right?
Starting point is 00:11:50 Are you been taking shots off? No. I got in the U.S. We're in the U.S. I didn't talk. Irene, where are we at? Staviske. Bye.
Starting point is 00:12:01 Do you imagine you get paid to do nothing? Oh, that's the dream. You don't even got to talk? He must be so good at what he does. Okay, I'm going to practice. I'm going to practice. You guys do the work. No, no.
Starting point is 00:12:13 That's crazy. Because it's like you just want a companion. You're paying for a companion. And it's like, why don't you get a dog or something, right? But then this is somebody you don't have to take care of. Yes. Because a dog, you have to feed it. Well, you do feed them.
Starting point is 00:12:26 You take them to. Yeah, but that's fine. And after that he goes on his way. It's like having a boyfriend that does nothing, but you don't get like. But he also doesn't annoy you because he stays completely silent. Yeah. He doesn't say anything. Only $85 a session too?
Starting point is 00:12:42 Honestly, it doesn't sound bad because yesterday I had to drive to San Diego, right? And so as soon as I get in the car, I show my mom like my new car and I push on the pedal really fast and she gets sick and she throws up the entire way. Two hours. She's just throwing up. She's sick. But I can't stop because I have to make it to an appointment on time. You didn't stop for your mom like, hey, mom, clean yourself up here. No, she didn't throw up on herself.
Starting point is 00:13:07 We had a bag. You didn't stop and send her back in an Uber? No, that would have been a good idea, though. No. But I would have paid $85 for somebody just sit there and do nothing while I go in the carpool lane. You know what I'm saying? You know what? You know what?
Starting point is 00:13:21 That you reminded me. I one time did this thing where this guy paid me to wait a line because he wanted to ticket somewhere yeah they do that oh that was an era or waiting in line for shoes yeah i did that there's a half 150 what i waited like three hours that's almost doubled in the guy in tokyo but i did have to talk to him a little more oh because i'm here where you at i'm like i'm like i could wish i'm going to be like no yes not here here find me oh my god no no this guy crazy he shouldn't have said anything because now people are going to come for his job yeah and she's already packed i am i'm thinking like should i post it on craigslist or how should i do it how do you
Starting point is 00:14:06 apply yeah yeah i think i'm here to do nothing if you need me to go a carpool with you here ten dollars no no 85 $10 per mile i'm gonna put a billboard out i'm gonna put a billboard out and have it sick oh that's smarter i'm worthless but you can pay me $85 to do that next to you. All right, what if you are in the carpool lane and they take you like Arizona or something? Oh, man. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:14:35 You didn't think about that. What if they take you back to Mexico? Right. You're like, where are we going? Then you can't come back, Angie. I know. Yes, I can. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:50 I'm a passport. Oh, man. Yeah, but it's not yours. No, I'm kidding. Wow. Just kidding. Letty's going to come back and she's going to be so mad at everybody. Why?
Starting point is 00:15:03 Because you guys are making fun of Angie. How about Angie? All right, so he got paid to do nothing. You said, wait, what's his salary per year? He made six figures. So like $100,000. Yeah, minimum. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:15:17 That's crazy. I'm jealous. They have my best jobs over there. I'm going to start at Christmas Post. I'll get you guys back right now. Wow. All right. That was scrolling with the homies, but up next, we got Word on Rosecrans with your boy.
Starting point is 00:15:30 Rosecrans, Vic, right here. Where? I'm right here. Oh, El Quino's for nothing. Oh. Rosecrans. Word on Rosecrans. Kanye West and Thai Dollar Sign are working on something special.
Starting point is 00:15:47 Okay? So, footage of Kanye and Thai Dollar Sign working in the studio has surfaced, and the rumors are they are working on an entire project together. Damn. And this is not the first time they worked together. Seems like all of Kanye's last albums have had a song, or at least background vocals by Ty Dola Sign. It seems like he's like a really important part of Kanye's creative process now. But now there's going to be an entire album with Tye Dala Sign vocals over Kanye production.
Starting point is 00:16:14 And that sounds incredible to me. That's fine. Yeah. And he also brings him a lot to his like Sunday church stuff. Oh yeah, Sunday service. Sunday service. Because I remember even at Coachella, he had Tidea there. He had everybody there.
Starting point is 00:16:27 and Ty was singing and it was amazing. No, it's always so good. They did that song, which one, fade away. I feel it fade. I think it was called fade. Oh, you just fade? Yeah. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 00:16:39 That was incredible. But Ty Dalla sign was at the club last month and he played a new song. Here's an exclusive sneak preview. What's you right, baby, what you're right, baby. I like it. The background beats kind of sound like fade. Yeah, right? Yeah. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:17:10 I think that's their pocket right there to where it's like almost EDM-ish a little bit, but also like some like soul in there and stuff like that. So it could be played everywhere. You could feel the Kanye production right away. Yeah. It's like, what is like an organ? Yeah. No, it sounds like.
Starting point is 00:17:27 What is that? I don't know. That's why I'm not a person. My organ. Also, there's this really funny clip going around where Kanye and Ty are working together. They're like in the studio or something. and Kanye is getting a pedicure and he gets up halfway through it and he just tells the lady doing a pedicure. He said, these are my toes.
Starting point is 00:17:44 I don't know. It's so funny. He's like really because I guess, you know, he's been walking barefoot everywhere. I guess he has like some painful like things going on with his feet. Like fungus? I don't know. Like he was just like it hurt too much. So he didn't want to do it.
Starting point is 00:17:59 Yeah, I think he said that he didn't want to finish her. Like she quit him. Grown or something. Yeah. And then he just gets up. He's like, these are my toes. And then it pans to Ty's face and he's just like Oh my god
Starting point is 00:18:12 No he's just like oh my god Yes like super embarrassed Ty Dalla san I bet he has some stories of Kanye Oh man And Ty's the one that uploaded that video huh I think so yeah It's the troller, buddy Yeah
Starting point is 00:18:28 Yeah because it looks like they're just like in a hotel room And Ty's like watching TV or something Exactly And you see Kanye in the background getting up Like a private pedicure. I've never had a pedicure, so I don't know. It can hurt if you have ingrown. Yeah, if you have ingrown because they just fix it.
Starting point is 00:18:43 They just dig in. Yeah. And then you're just sitting there like, oh, I'm a big boy. Yeah. Well, maybe it's time. Yeah. All right, look, guys, Drake just dropped for all the dogs. The album we've all been waiting for, for, you kept getting pushback.
Starting point is 00:19:01 Oh, let's go, let's go. We got to give it a. Oh, yeah. All the perrittos came out. That was that right. Look, last night the track list dropped, and everybody started speculating that Drake was about to send the diss song of the century to push a tea and Farrell because the opening song was titled Virginia Beach, which is where they're both from. So everybody was like, oh, here comes. The beef is getting reignited and all this stuff.
Starting point is 00:19:30 But it ended up being a lot different. Listen to this. Dene in Yeah, So Fantasizing That's not Love your
Starting point is 00:19:45 Compromising I'm old Drake's such a troll Yeah Why you got to name that Virginia beach? Especially having that be The opening song
Starting point is 00:19:58 Everybody's like Yes, I can't wait To hit play And then it's like I love it I love it, man You're like no, I wanted to hear These bars
Starting point is 00:20:07 I love sing songy Drake Yeah No, it's not a bad song It's just the false advertisement Yeah, yeah. We're naming it Virginia Beach. Smart. Yes.
Starting point is 00:20:14 But guess what? We got more Jay Colbar. Woo! So Jay Cole... I was so happy for that one. Yeah, Jay Cole hopped on Drizzi's song, first person shooter, and he acknowledged how him,
Starting point is 00:20:24 Kendrick, and Drake are the big three. Listen to this. Love when they all get all hard as I'm C. Is it Kate died? Is it all for you're me? We're the big three like we started a lead. Rhyming with me is the biggest mistake. The Spider-Man meme is me looking at Drake.
Starting point is 00:20:38 Yeah. That was just a little, sniffer. I love that he shouted out K's on a Drake song. I love that. He's like the mediator in between. He's been going off. Yes. No, that whole verse, he just, he goes, he goes ham. And it's also just him like, you know, showing his relationship with Drake, but also just being like, you know what, like, I'm the greatest too. Like, you can't mention a Drake without me. And this is also something I've personally been waiting for it because they've done songs together, but they never really, like, got the bars off. Right. You know, like, they did, like,
Starting point is 00:21:11 what was in the morning yeah that's the only one no that i can think right now they did jodicy freestyle too but it was like more so like kind of like for girls yeah in the morning was the one that really hit though yes yeah but it was like i wanted the bars i wanted them to go back and forth how they did on this one first person shooter so we finally got it 15 years later whatever as long as we got it but yeah no the the the whole album it's like 25 songs 23 23 songs uh sounds good so far There's a lot of surprising features. There's Yeat on there. There's sexy red made it.
Starting point is 00:21:45 Bad bunny. Bad bunnies on there. Cizzas on there. So everybody check it out. Chief Keefe, that was good. That was very surprising. Very unexpected. I was like, wow.
Starting point is 00:21:53 Can't go wrong with Chief. No, yeah, absolutely. All right. It's, I haven't listened to the full thing. I probably like halfway. Well, it dropped at three in the morning. Yeah. Yeah, that's another thing that he did.
Starting point is 00:22:04 Yeah. He's like, he's just teasing and playing with his fans. Yeah. Because he made them wait long. He pushed it back like six hours, I believe. It was supposed to drop at 9 p.m. Pacific. Then it dropped at 3 a.m. Pacific. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:18 What a troll. Everything about him was trolling. Yeah, everything about him's trolling. All right. No, I'm not. All right. All right, look. That was your word on.
Starting point is 00:22:29 What do you? Oh. Hey. All right. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh, for all the dogs got in my throat.
Starting point is 00:22:39 That was your word on Rosecrans brought to you by local Southern California Toyota dealers. I'm Rose Kranzvik for Brownback Mornings on Power 106. What's up? This is Be Real from Cypress Hill. Where are you from, that's it? Don't you know I'm local? What up y'all?
Starting point is 00:22:58 So this weekend. Why do you laugh? What up, y'all? I'm just here so I don't get fine. Hold on. This Irene right here. This Irene. Hey, I'm just here so I don't get fine.
Starting point is 00:23:09 You know why I'm here I love you, don't be bad So this weekend, another season that I love starts And why are you so excited? I'm excited about the same things Okay, go ahead I'm excited because basketball season Yes!
Starting point is 00:23:27 Yeah, Laker season You mean Lakers season! So Lakers preseason starts this weekend Lakers will be in the Bay against Golden State And then the other team that LA doesn't claim will be playing too. What do you mean? What?
Starting point is 00:23:45 You take care of all the parks. All the kids at YMCA. Anyway, so the only fan that will be there on Friday will be Maximo. I know Clippers serve the community and all that, and that's dope. Yeah, that's so cool. You guys do great charity. Thank you. They drop the ball because, like, those little kids, they want to see basketball, like, late into June 2.
Starting point is 00:24:06 You know, but they have to shut off their TVs because the Clippers never make it. But you know why they do that is because then they have the kids. up the parks and stuff. Oh. So it's all like... Or maybe they leave the playoffs early to serve the community longer. Yeah. Oh, okay, okay.
Starting point is 00:24:19 You guys are so thoughtful. Yeah. Honestly, that's so nice. You're welcome. You know, that's what we do. Especially when you guys miss the playoffs. Like, that's even more time for the kids. If you looked at our stats, right?
Starting point is 00:24:31 We've been a better team than you guys. The last 10 years. And no chips. With no chips. But we got an arena. You keep renting yours. Okay. Oh.
Starting point is 00:24:41 Hey, but October is probably like the best sports month. Oh, it's literally the best sports month. We get baseball playoffs. Dodgers are also playing tomorrow? Saturday? Saturday? Yes. Then we get football. Yes.
Starting point is 00:24:53 And then we get basketball. Yeah. All the ladies are going to be upset. Oh, I know. Are you kidding me? That's when we get to go shopping and spend all your money. Marshalls, home. You know, we don't care.
Starting point is 00:25:04 Just go do that. Not me. Give me your credit card. We don't watch the game together. You want to be asking questions? No, because they be asking questions. They want to... When does Taylor Swift come on?
Starting point is 00:25:15 Oh, what time is Taylor Swift come on? Oh, my God. Her and Travis Kelsey, oh, they look so cute together. Stop. Wait, this is that... Where's Travis Kelsey? Is he not playing? No, different sports.
Starting point is 00:25:26 Totally different sports. Yeah, for sure, Angie. Ruin everything. So Lakers and Clippers both play on Saturday. No, the Clippers play on Saturday. The Lakers play on Sunday. Oh, okay, okay. Yeah, it's the first game of the preseason.
Starting point is 00:25:41 LeBron James is not going to play. Oh, yeah, because it's the preseason. But he'll play during the season, you know, not like Kauai. Oh, oh. What did Kauai say at Media Day? He said, no leak policy is helping me play more games. So he's just going to do his own thing. He's just saying like, yo, if I'm hurt, I'm hurt.
Starting point is 00:26:01 Like, you can't force me to play. He's not even hurt. He's already manifesting himself being hurt. He's not. His knees are different Okay The knees are different The twuckles or the backwards or what
Starting point is 00:26:11 He has to put him on every morning Like Oh Come on This is this is here man For a basketball player Kauai really doesn't like playing basketball That's crazy
Starting point is 00:26:21 He's like that guy from Tokyo That's just I'm gonna get paid To not do nothing No this is This is Kauai Leonard Hey I'm just here So I don't get fine Yeah
Starting point is 00:26:31 So Irene Yes Oh No she tells up She tells up Yeah, I like my job. Anyway, let's give away some Not Scary Farm tickets. Let's go.
Starting point is 00:26:41 To experience Not Scary Farm, the longest running and most Halloween theme park event in Southern California. Be caller number 10 right now. Call in. 8-18-2-0-1059. And we got to help the homie coming up. The home girl, Myra got options. Myra, she's anonymous again. She's anonymous.
Starting point is 00:26:58 She needs us. She loves being anonymous. Yeah, she needs us to help her make a choice. Find out more next. Brownback Morning's Power 106. It's Friday. It's Friday. And it's not our pay day.
Starting point is 00:27:10 But it's up for other people. That is. It's the weekend. Thank you, Feli. Thank you, Philly. I wasn't sure. I wasn't sure. I'm never sure until that comes on.
Starting point is 00:27:22 I'm like, oh, now it's the weekend. I never know what day it is anymore. All right, look, so we're trying to help the home girl, Myra. She is talking about how she has some options and she needs some help. figuring out what to do. All right. Go for it. I'm going to read her DM.
Starting point is 00:27:39 Wait, hold on. I hate girls with options. Okay. I'm going to read this. All right. This is her DM. She said, Brown bag, I need your help. Last year, I met this guy who treated me so well.
Starting point is 00:27:52 He did everything right. The flowers, dates, respect, et cetera, et cetera. I had just gotten out of a toxic three-year relationship, so I wasn't really expecting much. And I tried to take it as slow as I could. Fast forward to February. He got a last minute, really good pain. job opportunity in Ohio. I told him, honestly, I'm too young to do long distance, but if timing is right, I'll
Starting point is 00:28:12 see you after the summer. Well, as we know, summer's coming up, or summer's coming to an end, and he's coming back in two weeks. Summer is over, baby girl. That's right. But after he left in February, I started hanging out with this guy, my guy best friend. Oh, whoa, no, hold on. Let me back this up. Hold on.
Starting point is 00:28:30 I always tell him. I still, okay, back in February, I started hanging out more with my guy best friend, who I I previously never did things with. We've been talking and going on dates, but he still hasn't made me his girlfriend. Is it too late? Is it far, wait, hold on. It's far too late to just go back to being best friends and Ohio guy is coming back. If I hang out with Ohio, my relationship with my best friend will never be the same.
Starting point is 00:28:54 Your relationship with your best friend will never be the same. He was never your friend. Oh, my God. Yeah, no. The best friend, huh? Oh, your best friend, huh? Yeah. Yeah, you're bestie, uh.
Starting point is 00:29:09 No, look, we're going to need to figure this out. Call us up 818-5-2059. What should the homegirl Myra do? Should she stick with Ohio or go with her BFF, all right? All right, check this out, homie. You need a homie or need some help. We need your help. We need a line.
Starting point is 00:29:27 I mean, phone line. We got you for the homie help line. Myra needs our help. She can't decide. I don't know. No, I'm kidding. I don't have it. Her user is, no, I'm just kidding.
Starting point is 00:29:40 Might as well. She got to make the decision now. I don't know who the best friend. Honestly, I'm mad at her. I don't even know her. Why? Because she got with the guy she told her to not worry about. Vic, you've never had a best friend that, like, even in high school that you had, like, a little crush on or anything.
Starting point is 00:29:55 I mean, I know now it's different. No. Guy the maximum talking to Vic. Right. What was the question I ring? Have you ever? Some lie. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:30:06 Let me answer this. I'm going to put out you. Okay. So you, in high school, you never had like a girl best friend that you had a slight crush on. You thought she was pretty. You were like, oh, if given the opportunity, I would take her to prom or homecoming or I would date her. I feel like it's like a high school thing. I would never like approach a girl that I would like, if we're friends were friends, I'm going to always respect that line.
Starting point is 00:30:27 If she comes off to me, then I'm going to be like, all right. Well, you know, they do say if it falls in your lap, it's a blessing. You know what I'm saying? I know, I know, it's me. Yeah, okay, but that's like, that's friends that are low-key, like acquaintances, right? Because they could fall into a relationship. But I'm talking about best friend. Yeah, no, I don't cross that line.
Starting point is 00:30:43 Any girl, no, guys, any girl that is willing, they're going to do it. Yeah, that's true. Yeah, everybody except me. But yes, I agree with you. Okay, so in this story, we're supposed to be helping Mara. But in this story, she had a dude, Ohio, who moved to Ohio previously. And that means that that best friend was still there. Yeah, he was there around.
Starting point is 00:31:05 She was ever her in her time of need. That happens. No, this is probably way sicker. Like, okay, this is like, all right, Myro was like, oh my God, so I met this guy, you know, da-da-da-da, he's awesome. He buys me flying. And she knew like this good other guy, the best friend, knew the whole get down. Insider information.
Starting point is 00:31:21 Exactly. And then one day she was like. Like the postman with Angie. Yeah. No. Not even. Hold on. Hold on.
Starting point is 00:31:28 We're going to get off track. We're going to get off track. We'll come back to that. We're not going to put that narrative because, no. So. So. So this guy, her best friend, Myra's best friend, probably was like, we got to get to that in a minute, in a minute, hold on. So look, Myra's best friend probably knew like, oh, no, like she was heartbroken because this guy that she really like moved to Ohio and he's going to be gone for a couple months.
Starting point is 00:31:53 So this guy was plotting the whole time. He's like, oh, now he's gone. Now time to make my move. Made his move. It worked. But also what I'm getting from Myra's at this guy, her best friend. is kind of just a stand-in. Like, he's a placeholder.
Starting point is 00:32:08 You know what I'm saying? Like, he's just kind of a placeholder, but now also she's like, I can't have both. Now that when Ohio comes back. Or she can. It's just Marley wrong. No, because the best friend is going to know like they're way too close.
Starting point is 00:32:21 And then that line is already crossed. I think it's going to be... Pandora doesn't go back in his box. But he will. Oh, my God. Okay. Yeah, but do we have anybody? Yeah, we have Karina from Ventura on line 10.
Starting point is 00:32:39 Okay. Karina. Good morning. Good morning, Karina. Don't yell at her. What advice do you have for the home girl? Good morning, Grandma. Let me have some coffee first before he yell at.
Starting point is 00:32:50 Oh, I'm sorry. Vick is triggered. Yeah, no, I'm just, you know what? I'm just not feeling it. I'm not feeling a mirror over here. What do you think, what do you think, Karina? Well, I'm the perfect person to ask for this type of advice. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:33:04 What did you do? I ended up having two kids with my best friend. Wow. Yeah. Not just one but two. Yeah. Wow. I know.
Starting point is 00:33:14 I get that a lot. But I met my best friend in kindergarten. It was actually my first little boyfriend in kindergarten. I live in a very small town near Ventura. We grew up together. And we were like ride or die besties, like in high school. We even went to homecoming as friends, and we each had our own relationships. And I was so naive, but I would be super jealous of whoever he was with and just justify it, like, because he was my best friend, and I was, like, a jealous bestie, you know?
Starting point is 00:33:51 Yeah. But I feel like subconsciously, for me, those feelings were there. Anyways, like, we graduate. When I was shopping, we hooked up once, and I got pregnant. to my son. Wow. So we kind of were, so we, you know,
Starting point is 00:34:13 that's just a thing for me. I can't have thought about that. Just we're not a good fit. As soon as like the relationship shifted from a friendship, we through, like, we just didn't trust each other. And it seems like Myra has that friendship with her best friend that he knows a lot. He knows how she moved.
Starting point is 00:34:39 He knows. He knows. He knows already her thought process and that trust, like, it's so hard. I mean, you think it's cute. You think it's like, oh, yeah, I'll work out with my best friend. But we just knew too much about each other and it absolutely worked against us. And now he's married and his wife is one of my closest friends. Wait, wait, hold on.
Starting point is 00:35:04 Which city is this? Wait a minute. Wait, where did the second kid come in? Hold on. Oh, no. I'm trying to carry. I said, you guys didn't work out, and then it's just like, there was one kid at that point. Where did the second kid come in?
Starting point is 00:35:17 This is my bar. Okay, so then we broke up for about a year, and we tried it again, and I got pregnant. Oh, Myrtle. Oh, my aunt is that you're purdata? Wow. I'm like, this would happen to me, but you know what? I would if I and I sound insane but if I could do it all over again I would because my kids are like seriously the best like they're literally both of us yeah and my son is him like it's crazy you know like we we speak when we have to but just how everything ended up and you know my kids being who they are who they are I can't imagine having kids with anyone else, to be honest.
Starting point is 00:36:11 Yeah, no, the kids are always the biggest blessing. Yeah, but, I mean, she should definitely not go with the best friend because it's not going to work out trust-wise. He already knows too much. Knows way too much. Damn. Yeah, and she should definitely, she's so young. Make mistakes.
Starting point is 00:36:30 Go with Ohio. Yeah. Go to Ohio. Go to Ohio. I hate this. I hate this best friend. Honestly, it's boiling my blood. Because I always say, like, that best friend, he's not your friend.
Starting point is 00:36:43 Every time I date a girl, I'll be like, he's not your friend. And then she'll be like, yes, he is. He's not. He's just waiting. He's in position. He's on deck. Yes. But it's up to us.
Starting point is 00:36:52 Batter up. Better up. Because like, because I dated my best friend and I knew, I knew that he had feelings, but I didn't give him the okay until I wanted to. Until. Until the unthinkable. It was an unthinkable. Until the unthinkable.
Starting point is 00:37:07 I did not have any children. Oh, but she's denied. You're not denying the unthinkable. So you guys, okay. Oh, my gosh. I, I, I, did the unthinkable. I dated him for a handful of years. Angie, your mailman wants to do the unthinkable.
Starting point is 00:37:24 No. No, no, no. We are not, no. I didn't say you want to do it. That narrative is, nope. I didn't say you wanted to do it. Hey. That was yesterday.
Starting point is 00:37:36 Today's today. It's a new day. It's a new day. It's a new day, hi, Eiji. But the only thing that sucks for Myra is that, like, the line has already crossed with her best friends. So, like, no matter what, she has to be solo. And he accomplished his mission.
Starting point is 00:37:49 Yes. What he was waiting to do all these years. Oh, my God. This guy makes me sick. Yeah. You know what? We should take some callers for that. Have you ever hooked up with your best friend and how did it turn out?
Starting point is 00:38:00 How about that? Yeah. The one that you do said, don't trust. Don't worry about this guy. Or your girl said don't trust. Yeah. Yeah. All right, let's take callers on that. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:10 All right. Let's try that. 818 52059. Have you ever hooked up with your best friend? And how did it work out? Brownback mornings, part 106. If I was your best friend. All right.
Starting point is 00:38:23 All right. All the time. I want you run it all the time. I'm your best friend. And him knows you'll be mine. Girl, promise you'll be mine. You say he's just a friend. No, he's not.
Starting point is 00:38:34 No, he's not your friend. He don't even like you that much. Harry should we sing, Vic? I realized that you're really LeBron with these lyrics. Yeah, for real. The goat? No, no, no, no, not that part. You're like, 0.5 seconds delayed.
Starting point is 00:38:47 Yeah, it's so funny. But it's okay, it's okay. It's okay, man. You'll be right. All right. So, Irene, I saw the phone lines blowing up over there. Bro, they blew up. Everybody's being picking up with their best friends, apparently.
Starting point is 00:38:59 This is crazy. How did we get here? Mara. Oh, yeah, the anonymous homegirl for, We didn't help her. No, at all. At all. No, we did.
Starting point is 00:39:10 We did. We told her that she should go with Ohio. Yeah, because the best friend, we don't like it. Yeah, we don't like that. Even though she's ruined it. We and my homies hate that. Yeah, for sure. All right, so who we got, Irene?
Starting point is 00:39:25 Man, we have, oh, I busted it, Maximo. Maximo. Nice. We have, I know that I don't like that. We have Alicia from Orange County on line four. Alicia. Alyssa. Hi.
Starting point is 00:39:38 What's up, Alicia? It's Alyssa, huh? Oh, Alyssa. Yeah, it's okay. It's Alyssa. My bad. I apologize. Alyssa, what is your best friend call you?
Starting point is 00:39:48 Let's get into it. What happened? What happened with your best friend? Okay, so this was senior year of my high school. So basically at the time, I had met him my sophomore year. He was a very good friend, but I noticed that he was always friendly with other people, but at the time he was known to have a girlfriend. But he was always starting with other women.
Starting point is 00:40:11 But I was, I got close to him. And so we started talking more, me and him. Long story short, we were really good friends, just friends. But then senior year comes around. We had summer school together. And then one day, you know, he kind of just texted me like, hey, you know, what are you doing right now? I told him, well, you know, I'm not really doing anything.
Starting point is 00:40:31 He said, what are you doing after school? After summer school? And I said, well, I mean, you know, nothing. I'm just going back home. And he said, oh, like, can I go with you? Dang. And I thought, I was like, dude, I was like, you have a whole girlfriend, though. And he told me at the time that they were on a break.
Starting point is 00:40:47 Oh, nice. Good lie. Most of the line. Not like that. But I found out later on that they weren't on a break, but the whole time they were together. And so it was the whole, so whole drama went down. But, yeah, he came over to my house. Things happened.
Starting point is 00:41:02 The unthinkable. Oh, my God. Oh my god. So what happened after? Like, did you guys remain friends or like did it become like a whole drama or what happened? It became a whole drama only because I did kind of get pissed off that he kind of lied. Like he told me that him and the girlfriend were on a break. I felt very, I felt very dirty and disgusting in my opinion because I've never been the one to want to be a home record at all.
Starting point is 00:41:29 So I feel very disgusted and I got mad at him and I told him like, dude, that's messed up. That's really messed up. And so then his girlfriend found out It was a whole big drama After it Everything got settled down But you know We in me and he
Starting point is 00:41:42 We no longer talk to more We like I have followed him on everything Remove them off of everything Yes good Good Don't trust the best friend At all Wait but he was it your best friend
Starting point is 00:41:51 Or you just got close to him Because he was a Ladiesman No he was actually my best friend Like he was actually my best friend Dang He did help me with a lot of stuff And he was there for me
Starting point is 00:42:04 He helped you with a lot. He was just waiting. He was waiting. He was plattin. Oh, God. Well, Alyssa, I hope you learned your lesson. Close we got, Irene. We have Nia from Santa Clarita on line seven.
Starting point is 00:42:18 Santa Clarita. Mia. Hi. What's up, Nia? Not much. So I had this best friend, and we were close. We would go to school together. My mom and his mom were close.
Starting point is 00:42:34 and he was in a very toxic relationship and when he got out of it I was there, you know, like for him being nice. Yeah, being a good friend. Then he, no, he texted me and he told me he had feelings for me. So I told him to never talk about it again.
Starting point is 00:42:57 We're not missing up our friendship. Yeah. Shut him down. Yeah. And then, I kind of went out when I got a little drunk, you know, and ended up confessing my love for him. Oh, so you did have feeling for him. He had gotten back with his girlfriend already.
Starting point is 00:43:18 So, like, I told him like, oh, you know, like, it just sucks. Like, I had a chance and I blew it and blah, blah, blah. Well, then he called me the next day and I told him, well, no, I don't remember what I said. And then he finally was like, okay, you need to tell me. He picked me up. He took me out on this, like, really cute day. Check me to go see the view in Burbank. Smooth.
Starting point is 00:43:41 And he's like, okay, I'm going to break up with my girlfriend. Like, you want to be with me? And I said, sure. And then he never broke up with his girlfriend. Oh, man. In Burbank? He took you to cast away. Oh.
Starting point is 00:43:57 Oh. You got the outside seat. Oh, the outside table. Oh. Oh. Jesus. Oh, my God. So you guys still talk?
Starting point is 00:44:11 Um, no, but we do, we still share locations. So, like, now and then, like, I'll peek at it, you know, and like. Wait, why do you still have his location? You guys are, like, meet up and stuff? No, we, I ignore him at all costs, but. No, you don't. I don't know. You still have feelings for him.
Starting point is 00:44:31 I watch his location. That's it. Yeah. He's at his location. girl's house you know where he's at his girl is right down the street oh my god you'll be singing Kisha Cole to yourself
Starting point is 00:44:46 huh you where he's at but I'm where he want to be oh my god wait so you still have feelings for him um she didn't say no Nia let it go Nia he is not the one he is not Nio okay all right Nia thank you who else we got our
Starting point is 00:45:07 We have some hookup successes. Oh, okay, okay, okay. So you guys can stop hating. We have Josie from LA on 96. Josie. Josie. Brown, Bay! Hey!
Starting point is 00:45:20 Hey! Hey, Josie, what's up? Talk to me about your bestie. How's it going? Happy Friday. Happy Friday. I'm so happy to talk to you guys. Okay, so here's my story.
Starting point is 00:45:31 I'll make it, I'm a bit, I'm going. I hooked up with my best friend at 14. And I didn't like him, but he used to walk to get a class. Why didn't you like him? Well, I wasn't, he was my best friend. I wasn't like, you know. You didn't look at him like. No, I was a little kid.
Starting point is 00:45:49 And he was, he was walking me to class, and I guess he fell in love with me. And then he just. Love in the hallways. He just, no, he grabbed me and he kissed me, and I hadn't kissed anybody, you guys. Oh, that was your first. Yeah, and I kept, I was there with my mouth open. Like, I didn't even kick him back. Alco chinno with your saliva, Camino.
Starting point is 00:46:16 Yeah, but then fast forward, we fell in love, and we have three kids, and they're grown, and we're 44, but that was at 44. Wow. That was your first kids, and then you ended up with him? Yeah, yeah, and now we're together, and I love him, and that's still my best friend. Wow. That's amazing. I want to hug her. Okay.
Starting point is 00:46:40 I mean, that's a good. That's a good story. That's a good story. But you didn't have like a boyfriend at the time or anything, right? You guys were just friends. No. No, no, we were just friends. I was single, but I used to hook him up with, I used to hook him up with girls.
Starting point is 00:46:52 Oh, wow. Damn, he had it good. Yeah. He had the appetizers and then he went towards the main course. Wow. Wow. That's amazing. Congrats on that.
Starting point is 00:47:06 Yeah, that's crazy. Yeah, that's one out of five. That was her first everything. That was the only one. That's not very long. That was the only one that didn't make me super angry. Yeah. But, well, actually, no, the Castaway one was pretty funny.
Starting point is 00:47:18 Because, like, he just, he's a dog. He's listening to Drake at three in the morning. He's not tight up. Yes. We have anybody else, I read? Yeah, we have Michelle from L.A. on line two. Okay. Michelle.
Starting point is 00:47:33 Good morning. Good morning. Good morning, Michelle. Okay, so really quick. I met him in Highland Park, and we would, we met the movie. mutual friends, he became best friends. I didn't know he had a girlfriend. I had a boyfriend, so we ended up hooking up.
Starting point is 00:47:51 Be unthinkable. You know, for years. He'd take my best friend. So I found out he was with somebody else and she got pregnant. So I left and moved back with my mom. And he went to go visit me on my birthday and then we had sex. And I got pregnant. So he has two daughters.
Starting point is 00:48:11 and they're both six months apart, born on the same day. Right? What? Hold on. Yes. And then... It's meant to be.
Starting point is 00:48:20 Yes. Now our daughter, like, fast forward, so much drama, but we never were together. And then, I know it's so good. But so my daughter turns 21,
Starting point is 00:48:31 and we got married on October 28th. It'll be one year. Aw. So it's 21 years. Yes. What? That is crazy. Wow.
Starting point is 00:48:41 Wow, you need a movie. Yes. Can I tell your story? No. I'm so sad, you guys. I'm so sad that the first time I'm on air, and Lettie's not there, but I love all you guys. Oh, sorry.
Starting point is 00:48:54 We miss her take the word. She wouldn't have judged you at all, trust me. It's judging me right now. Oh, my God. That's a good story, though. Wow. But, yeah, that's crazy. You guys are best friends.
Starting point is 00:49:10 and then two kids came out of it. That's amazing. Yeah. On the same date. Six months apart. I am. Who else we got, Irene? That was it.
Starting point is 00:49:19 Oh, that was it, man. That's enough with these best friends. See, they're not their friends. They're never their friends. They're just waiting in position. Okay, get it, Vic. Waiting in the wings. Fallbrook over there.
Starting point is 00:49:29 Oh! All right. Coming up next, we got Sommrasala. What we got, Angie? Chees me. More cheesemesme. I love it. She's taking this.
Starting point is 00:49:40 There's nothing job too serious. I know. She's about to get shipped to Tokyo. Brown back mornings. And Sambra Sala with Angie. All right. Why are we like this, you guys? Why do we always compete and lie that we grew up poor?
Starting point is 00:49:59 I did. I don't know. I don't know. I think Victoria Beckham, she grew up super poor. Yeah, because there's like this little clip coming out. It's going viral. And it's like this little clip on there. Apparently they have like a little Netflix docuseries.
Starting point is 00:50:14 Yes. I think it came out yesterday. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. So this little clip is where David Beckham, her husband, is like calling her out because she's saying like, oh, yeah, you know what? I grew up poor. I grew up poor and we're like a working class.
Starting point is 00:50:28 And then he comes out, he's like, no, you're not. You're lying. You're a lie. Tell him the truth. Listen. We're very working, working class. Be honest. I am being honest.
Starting point is 00:50:40 I am being honest. What kind of did your dad drive you to school in? So my dad No, one answer My dad It's not a simple answer Because What car?
Starting point is 00:50:50 What did you Get your dad to drive It depends No no no No Okay In the 80s My dad had a Rolls Royce
Starting point is 00:50:57 Oh I don't gotta hear nothing else I don't got to hear nothing else Yeah Be honest Tell the truth Be honest That's a light
Starting point is 00:51:07 Itn't it That's a light in it Yeah That was really good You can practice. Hold on, hold on. What a, what a. I'm practicing.
Starting point is 00:51:18 I'm practicing. I'm going across the pond. But that's crazy. I don't know where she got that idea that she grew up poor when she's getting dropped off in a roast roast. Oh my God. Maybe she was like, it was a used car.
Starting point is 00:51:29 Yeah, maybe it didn't have tint. I have a homie who said he grew a poor and then he had a surround sound. His dad had lowriders. A couching is bedroom. A couch in his bedroom. Super crazy. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:51:39 Sounds really poor. Yeah. My friend is big. Oh, for the slums. Hold on, I have a Rolls Royce, though, you know. Just the Dodge Ram on 24th. Oh, my God. No, I grew up poor, though.
Starting point is 00:51:55 I think I grew up the poorest. Really? Yeah, because I remember that in school, like, I would go home with, like, bags, like black bags of trash cans. Trashkin bags. I'm sorry. Yeah. Filled with used clothes.
Starting point is 00:52:09 Oh. I grew up poor. But I win. Why would you take it to school, though? No, they were at school, they would give it to me to take it home. Wait, wait, were you like the designated person? Or like, you're on the list or like, why would they do that? I don't know what program I was in, but they gave us free clothes.
Starting point is 00:52:25 Like, used clothes that people would donate. Wow. You didn't grow poor. You grew up with too many people. I was going to say, did they know that you had eight siblings? A household of 14? You weren't supposed to be poor. We were only, I wasn't actually.
Starting point is 00:52:43 You're right. It was just spread like earlier. Thinkable happened many times. Yeah, it had no TV. That's for sure. Oh, oh, oh, oh. I just got it. Whatever, but I'm saying I went.
Starting point is 00:53:00 I think I'm the poorest here. Yeah, I don't know. It's a competition. I know it always does seem like a competition. Like, uh, it's like, it's like, it's like, you can beat me here. No one. Me. I got free Western bagel all the time.
Starting point is 00:53:10 They gave us bagels and cream cheese to take home. No way. Because you don't have bagels at home? I have no idea. Maybe I was hungry. They saw. They're like, oh, poor-insita, a little kid from the calle. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:53:22 Let me take your family. There's two dozen bagels that no one bought from the day before. No way. Hard bagels? It's hilarious. I don't know. Well, yes, we had a program. They gave us a free Western bagel and free lunch tickets.
Starting point is 00:53:37 Unlike Vic, he got luncheables every day. Oh, yeah. I did not get lunchebles every day. Privished over here. No, I had to pay for my luncheon. lunch okay. I didn't qualify. It was unfair.
Starting point is 00:53:47 And then my dad would only give me 20 bucks. Like it sucks. Oh my God. You know what my allowance was? A dollar. You had an allowance? Hold on, wait. Who here had grass?
Starting point is 00:54:02 Us? Oh, yeah. I had grass. Don't let me get started with Irene with eight fringes over here. Hey, no, growing up, we only had one. Oh, my. God, it must have been so bad. They had double doors, though, didn't it?
Starting point is 00:54:16 No. You had an ice maker? Oh, you had an ice maker? Wow. The only grass I thought I had was elementary always promised this grass, and then I never got it. Wait, y'all were played in dirt? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:54:31 What? For the slums, y'all. Oh, my God. Slums of an ice. I thought all elementary schools had grass. No, we played on, like, the pavement. That's so sad. Now when I drive by, they got grass.
Starting point is 00:54:45 The school was really nice. I'm like, dang. This is what you guys promised me 20 years ago. Wow. Maybe more. Yeah, no, I feel the same way with my high school. Like, they just built like a whole automotive program and stuff. And like, they took out the pond and it was just like, it was.
Starting point is 00:54:58 Yeah, dude. It sucked because I did a lot of work on that pond. Like I had this class where I would like do irrigation and stuff. I don't even know if you're for real. I don't know. I'm being honest. I don't know. You guys had a pond.
Starting point is 00:55:09 A pond in your school. A pond. A pond. A pond. A pond. You had a cow. No, yeah, but I mean, it sucks sometimes because we have to walk like really far across the street to like the mall and then the in and out and like my legs are hurt. A lot.
Starting point is 00:55:22 Honestly. Great growth. I hate that. Everybody has a different struggle. You know what I'm saying? Yeah, yeah, you walked a lot. Yeah, I would always have to ask that cucaracha truck to give me a layaway. I'll pay you.
Starting point is 00:55:34 I'll pay you more. Yeah. Cool. I did the same thing. I did the same thing. I still owe to this day like a quarter to the. A bag of hot chido Oh my god
Starting point is 00:55:47 Oh man, good time For sure, well in the course No, I went full All right, that's it for Sombrasaara Brought to you by your local Southern California Toyota dealers I'm Angie from Roundbag mornings I'm Power 106
Starting point is 00:55:59 What's up? This is Be Real from Cypress Hill Where are you from, Esse? Don't you know I'm local? Brown Bag Mornings, Power 106 And we are joined by Senator Maria Elena Duraso How are you this morning?
Starting point is 00:56:15 I'm great. I'm nervous around all of you. Really? We're normal. We're cool, I swear. Well, that's it. How can I be cool? You are cool.
Starting point is 00:56:26 Come on. Everything we're nervous around you. We're just like, okay, don't see anything dumb. She's in the government. Watch out, watch out. See? I have a trial by Texas.
Starting point is 00:56:38 I know. I thought that's why you were coming. I'm like October 15th. It's very close. No, but she's joining us as a part of Vos Voto Vida and, you know, to emphasize the growth of the Latino community in the U.S., you know, the importance of voting. Voting and everything. So tell us about, you know, what we have going on as far as like the elections coming up. Well, everybody, you know, hearing more and more about next year's presidential election.
Starting point is 00:57:08 So that's the biggie, right? who we're going to get as our next president. And you've heard talk about who those candidates are, including the current President Biden. But that's the big, big, big one across the country. And we should be really getting ready for that. Obviously, President of the United States of America is a big deal. It's a big deal.
Starting point is 00:57:31 Big, big deal. And it should be a really big deal for young people to come out, to know, hey, what's at stake here? And then we have local elections. So we have Los Angeles City Council, right? So that'll be an important election for all. So whether it's in our backyard, you know, or wherever you live, if you live in my district, like Boyle Heights or Highland Park, I live in El Sereno. Right, you know, wherever you live, you know, pay attention because things could be worse.
Starting point is 00:58:09 things could get better. Don't let anybody else vote for you. You know, when you don't vote, somebody else is voting and they're making decisions for you. So big, it's a big deal next year. Yeah, no, absolutely. And I'm curious, so you grew up in the central valley of California, right? So being from there, which is very, like, rural, I'm assuming, right?
Starting point is 00:58:30 Like, I've driven by their Kern County and stuff like that. And then going to, like, Washington, D.C. Was that, like, a culture shock, like, when you're around all these? He's like, you know, senators and stuff like that. When you first went over there, what was that like? Well, first of all, when I grew up, right, my parents were like, you know, you've got to watch out for your future. What do you want to do?
Starting point is 00:58:55 You got to study, blah, blah, blah. You know, they were constantly, constantly, constantly. So it was a big deal when I left to go to college. I have one brother. They're 11 of us in the family. 11. Like Angie. We're only five.
Starting point is 00:59:13 Okay. And by the way, because we were migrant farm workers, right, we did the Piscas, right? Everything from Chavacan in San Jose to the grapes in the San Joaquin Valley. And we did it all, you know, cotton. We did everything. So we went town to town to town. So we were all born in different towns. Depending on
Starting point is 00:59:37 Yeah, where the work was. You guys were leaving your little seat everywhere. Or farmers for real. Yeah. So I was born in Madera. I have sisters and brothers who were born in different places. So that was a fun. We were our only friends.
Starting point is 00:59:55 You know, like some people grow up, I'm sure you do. Yeah. Yeah. My friend from kindergarten or my friend from high school, I don't have any friends from, you know, all of that. It was just our sisters and brothers. That's okay. That's cool.
Starting point is 01:00:08 Yeah, that's fun. Your sister's your best friend. Yeah. You can say that. My sisters, you know. And so that was our family, you know, growing up. And it was a really big deal. I never knew what I was going to do later in my life.
Starting point is 01:00:23 I had no idea. All I knew is, I don't want to pick those grapes anymore. That was hard. Really hard. It was hot, dirty. You know, we didn't get paid enough money to. Of course. Of course.
Starting point is 01:00:38 How long did you do that for? I did that until I was in high school. Wow. Since you were little, little. Oh, yeah, yeah. So you've been working your entire life. Yeah. Wow.
Starting point is 01:00:50 Work is good. Work is good. But, you know, think about what choices you want. Like, what do you really want to work at? Right. And you may not know exactly perfectly where you're going to end up. I don't know you all, you know, did you decide this is exactly what you wanted to do when you were younger.
Starting point is 01:01:07 But more than anything is just work somewhere, do something, and then you'll figure it out. It'll come to you. Life happens. Yeah. No, absolutely. By the way, can I do a shout out? Of course. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:01:20 My son Michael. Shout on Michael. And Veronica's son Moises. Shout on Moises and Michael. Anyway. Are they listening? Work. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 01:01:30 Oh, that's awesome. That's amazing. That's amazing. Oh. So they hear us. our worst. That's advice. Now I'm afraid.
Starting point is 01:01:40 So after all of that, I went to D.C. not as a senator because I'm a state senator, so I'm in Sacramento. But I did D.C. a lot because I fought for immigration reform. I was a national co-chair for Barack Obama's campaign. So I spent a lot of time in D.C.
Starting point is 01:02:03 I'm glad to be back in L.A. And when I have to go back and forth and live in Sacramento, four days out of the week, I'm like, oh. It's not the same. Sacramento is beautiful. Don't get me wrong. I've heard good things. Great, great things about science. Nothing like being in my hometown is Toronto.
Starting point is 01:02:22 Can we change the capital to LA? I'll vote. I'm going to vote for it. I remember in school learning Sacramento was the capital of California, and I'm like, why? I'm like to this day, I still don't know why. LA is really like the center of it. You know what I'm saying? Like I would think, but you know, we'll just let you change it.
Starting point is 01:02:42 Technically, it's where the capital is, the dome and the governor's offices. But you know what? The truth is, L.A. is the capital. Let's go. So what you're saying is let's get some construction we're going to move the buildings over here. We can do it. We'll take it down the five. It's no problem.
Starting point is 01:03:01 Yeah. I actually heard that you will be going to El Salvador next week. Yes. Yes. That is amazing. Jose is organizing this trip. And it's really, really great because I went there once many years ago for a couple of days to Central America. But to get deeper, you know, into the culture, the history, the people.
Starting point is 01:03:27 You hear names all that. I went a few months ago also to Oaxaca. And visited the indigenous communities. Did you have any grasshoppers? Oh, I hate them. You didn't have them? Did you try them? No.
Starting point is 01:03:41 I had some the other day. They weren't that bad. They put sasone on them and stuff. No, because I brought this. So you can try it right now. Yeah. No.
Starting point is 01:03:50 Just kidding. But you know, they'd bring like these plates full. Yeah. It's in front of you. It's like popcorn. With cheese and everything. You watch you know. No, I don't want nothing.
Starting point is 01:03:59 I don't want nothing. I actually tried it and I felt like I had like little legs stuck in my throat. I was like, I couldn't get it. Like, I couldn't get the like feeling out. It was worse. That must have been why you got bit so much by the mosquitoes. They're trying to get back. Revenge.
Starting point is 01:04:14 Yeah. Wow. That makes sense. Senator, can you do anything about the mosquitoes? Oh, my God. Especially the ones down. Yes. Those are my arch nemesis.
Starting point is 01:04:24 That's because we have all these little, uh, uh, water things all over the place, man. They're breeding like heck. Yeah, man, that's a real problem. Especially when you're in the backyard watching the Dodger game, you know? Yeah. You're meeting you up. Yeah. You've got to go inside when it's so nice outside.
Starting point is 01:04:43 I have a TV outside. Yeah. Wow. But, Senator, I love that you are in, you know, in the position you're in because being like a migrant farmer, you have that perspective that's so unique to most people who don't have that. You know, a lot of times it's like, oh, yeah, they, you know, people are making policies. about people they've never met or even cross past words, but you're one of those people that you can actually do legislation for. So just talk about that and how, you know, you've been
Starting point is 01:05:11 able to do that. Well, you know, I decided even though, you know, I went to college, I went to law school. It's like, okay, what I really care about, what really matters to me. And what really matters to me is people like my family. That's the first thing that matters to me was my family. My mom, dad, sisters, brothers, siblings. Okay, what do they, what do we go through? What's it like having grown up like that town to town working out in the fields? That was child labor. And that wasn't so long ago.
Starting point is 01:05:47 That was only, you know, 50 years ago. Yeah. 60 years ago. It's like that was child labor. I know. That wasn't, you know, 100, 200 years ago. And so what is it like? And it turns out that a lot of that stuff is still going on today.
Starting point is 01:06:03 I mean, there were farm workers who were dying in the heat. And there's supposed to be a law that says provide water and shade. Whoa, garment workers who weren't getting paid. Not like getting paid a little, but not getting paid. Total wage theft. And how could they take advantage because they say, oh, you might be undocumented. That's how they threaten them. That's how they threaten.
Starting point is 01:06:30 They know how to give you signals. Oh, you don't like this. Women, garment workers, taking their kids to a factory shop before then taking them, you know, to school. I mean, that stuff is still going on here. Right. I said that's not what we're supposed to be all about. So decided, hey, I want to do something about it. And so when a certain person name, last name starts with.
Starting point is 01:06:58 T got elected as president, I said, oh, hell no. Oh, hell no. We cannot, cannot let somebody like that speak for us. Yes. And so I decided to run. Wow. That was only five years ago. Wow.
Starting point is 01:07:15 That's amazing. I was a union organizer, I did a lot of things, but I said, that's okay. I can still do something at my age that's going to make a difference in our community. That's amazing. Thank you so much, Senator. Is there anything else you want to let the people know before where you get out of here? Well, I just, young people, it's all in your hands. You know, it's all in your hands.
Starting point is 01:07:41 What you want this world to be. Cleaner, cleaner air, cleaner water. Cheaper gas. Cheaper gas. No, there you go. No mosquitoes. Good tacos. Yes.
Starting point is 01:07:55 What's your favorite taco place? Come on. Tell me. One, two, three. Come on. I have this place. I'm from the valley, San Fernando Valley. And there's this place.
Starting point is 01:08:03 It's actually in a gas station. And it's called cilantro. And it is so good. Beto, we have to go to. My taco place is so good. It doesn't have a name. It's just on the, you know, it's just a street vendor. That's when you know they're good.
Starting point is 01:08:17 The other day I was driving down sunset. And I see like these three big fire trucks. And it was right along the part where all these taco places, right, put up their their pop-up tents. I said, oh, no, they're going to pick them down because of health and health reasons and, you know, safety reasons. And then I go right past it.
Starting point is 01:08:40 They were all the firefighters were sitting down eating tacos. That's right. I love that. A bunch of them. So, you know, tell me your favorite taco's place so we could, you know, I can make sure I'd go buy them. What I tried, what we tried to do is go to a place, take the pictures, put it on my social media,
Starting point is 01:08:59 and promote our places. Amazing. So you are active on social media. Well. And that's different. I try. Facebook. Sorry.
Starting point is 01:09:10 Facebook. I get it. It's Facebook. It's still social media. It's the only one. It's okay. But other people do it. But I do Facebook.
Starting point is 01:09:19 That's easy. Yeah. That's easy. But other than that, you know, young people, it's all in your hands. Thank you so much. Okay. Thank you. Thank you so much, Senator Durazo.
Starting point is 01:09:29 We really appreciate you. And everybody go to vosvotovida.com and at Vosvotovita on Instagram and Twitter. Thank you so much. Thank you, everybody. Thank you so much.
Starting point is 01:09:43 Brownback Morning's Power 106. Shout to the senator for coming through. I feel very important. I talk to senators. And I always accidentally wear the same sweater. Would we do like a recap of the photos? It's going to look like we interview them all the same day.
Starting point is 01:09:59 I know. Yeah. I like the sweats. It's one of my favorite sweaters. No, it's really nice. Shout to Destin. Bazzled. Exactly.
Starting point is 01:10:06 But Vic, Vic yesterday hit me up. It was pretty funny. Yeah. He went to San Diego with his mom. Yeah. So I'm sure there was a lot to talk about. For sure.
Starting point is 01:10:17 Oh, you're right. How long was that drive? Two, no, almost three hours. Diego. Now you know where my life is when I leave after four o'clock. Damn. Yeah, that's pretty bad. But yeah, Maximil's like, hey, what's going on in your life right now?
Starting point is 01:10:29 And I was like, what's going on in my life? I'm like, well, my mom has a new boyfriend, guys. Wow. Shut up. I don't know why you're clapping. I don't know why you're clapping. Because I want her to be happy. They're not doing the unthinkable sci-fi.
Starting point is 01:10:42 Yeah, they are. Shut, have a good time. No. No, so last. Yes, have a good time. No. Last week they went away together for like a week. And like, she was on the East Coast.
Starting point is 01:10:56 like in like Washington DC and like all these different states like they're hanging out and I'm like you know what I'm like good I'm like I'm like good like go do your thing mom like get out of here live like I can have some privacy finally um but uh you know it's all fun in games until like so this guy he's on tour right so what do you wait is a rapper no he's not a rapper tour manager no he does like lighting for a concert oh that's cool yeah he does lighting for a concert And so his tour is about to be up on this weekend. So my mom the other day, she was like, hey, like talk to him. And I'm like, dude, stop treating me like I'm five.
Starting point is 01:11:37 She's like, Vic, I want you to be nice. And I'm just like, relax. And then but she's like, oh, like he gets done with tour. So like maybe you guys can like meet soon. And I'm like, I'm not going to meet him. Like for what? Why don't I have to meet him? I'm not calling him dad, even if there's a fire.
Starting point is 01:11:51 He's not my dad. You know what I'm saying? And, uh, that's funny that makes you seem like a, like, uh, Like you're like a kid again. Yeah. It's not going to meet him. I don't want to meet him. He's probably stupid.
Starting point is 01:12:02 No, you got to understand. It's like, okay, like my mom has had a very bad history of boyfriends. Like her ex-husband was like such a jerk, hated his guts. No. Oh, okay. I don't know. Yeah, after my dad. My dad is a jerk a little bit, though.
Starting point is 01:12:18 He's nice to me. But so, yeah, so like, and then this guy, the new guy, his name is Oscar. Hi, Oscar. Her. No. Damn. But her ex-husband, who I hate, his name is Oscar. So it's already giving me like.
Starting point is 01:12:34 It's just bad energy. You know what I'm saying? I'm like, no, he's going to be just like the last one, mom. Like, you know, and so it's just, it's annoying. It's frustrating. And yeah, now I'm like not looking forward to next week at all whenever like we're supposed to meet or whatever. I mean, do you technically? You are meeting him?
Starting point is 01:12:50 I mean, I guess, like, you know, I don't want to. Because I was going to say, do you technically have to meet him? because like you're not, you're not a little kid. I'm not, but like just, I know my mom's, I'm like, don't be like that. Yeah, yeah, your mom wants everybody connected together. You know what I'm saying? And I'm just like, you know what?
Starting point is 01:13:06 It's just, I don't know. You didn't say anything. Like, who was he on tour with? Los Bukis. Oh. You're for real? Yeah, I swear. Marco Antonio Solis.
Starting point is 01:13:17 Oh, Oscar, you are welcome to the family. Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. Oh, no. See, Oscar. What's up? It already passed.
Starting point is 01:13:24 No. It already passed. She told me. She's like, you want to go? I'm like, no. You didn't tell us? I don't meet this stupid guy. Wow.
Starting point is 01:13:30 Yeah, no, I didn't want to go. Your feelings do not. It's not our feelings. You are so rude. I could have the human Jesus. That is so crazy. So what if he knows some guy with long hair, all right? Like, he's not my dad.
Starting point is 01:13:42 You sound like Little Vick. See, now you know and understand how Little Vick feels when you bring a new girl around, which is every couple of months. Man. He don't mean him all, though, right? No. You sure? I feel like you.
Starting point is 01:13:54 Just a certain percentage. I don't want to meet this guy. Am I wrong for not wanting to meet this guy? No, I think if I were you. Yeah, you are. This is triggering. Yeah, of course. So, like, my parents have, they've been together forever,
Starting point is 01:14:09 but, like, I think about it, and I'm just like, oh. And I'm just, I wouldn't want to. I grew up. I wouldn't. You guys have your family intact. Shut up. Yeah. And all of my siblings are still together.
Starting point is 01:14:20 We all live in the same house. I would trade it all for all my clothes if my parents were still together. Shut up. You have a cow. Not this jacket. I'm like, I'm lying. I really like clothes.
Starting point is 01:14:31 Oh my God. So am I wrong for wanting, for like being like standoffish? No, because I would be like that too. I'm like that even like when the homies get new girlfriends. Like all the new girls you bring around, I'm like,
Starting point is 01:14:42 because I don't know how long they're going to be around for. Like why am I going to build a relationship? And that's the way. Yeah. So I understand. I think it's normal because even my pop's like, now it's his wife. But like,
Starting point is 01:14:54 a minute and sometimes I'm still just like oh yeah you just can't stand then I'm just like it's because yeah there's certain things they do like my dad's girl she would answer his phone and I hated that like you had a shower yeah and then she'd be like oh he's in the shower I was like I don't need you to tell me he'll see the miss call he'll call me back like we're good yeah why didn't you talk yeah and or like I hear her in the background answering questions I'm asking him and I'm like oh my god I'm not asking you yeah erics me Is that how you feel? Yeah, I don't even want to listen to any,
Starting point is 01:15:27 any, like, Marco Antonio Solis songs at this point. Dang. Because I'm just like, no. Don't let him have that much control, though. Stop, man. Yo, it's like the ultimate cheat code, bro. I know what you mean. He's like, hey, Marco, can you sing this little hook real quick for me?
Starting point is 01:15:43 Oh, no. And I just feel like it's a bribe, you know? How? Like, I've been like a kid, right, where my mom was dating, and then they'll be like, oh, yeah, like, you want to, you want this? They're like, I'll buy you this. Don't worry, kid, you know? And I was always a little bit old.
Starting point is 01:15:57 I was the oldest, right? So it was, I was like, no, I don't want it. I don't even want it. My dad could buy it for me. My dad could buy me three of these, you know? And but I just feel like this is a bribe because my mom's like, oh, like, you can meet Marco Antonio Solis. And I'm like, I don't care.
Starting point is 01:16:09 I don't care, but that is cool. It's very conflicting. Like, I feel very conflicting. Think about it this way. Years from now, you could be Oscar. You're going to be like, look, I know this. I work at power. I do this.
Starting point is 01:16:22 So you have to, you. you know, karma. Clear mental. Carmen. Yeah. No, yeah. It's a funny position
Starting point is 01:16:32 to be in at like this age of mine. I'm sure a lot of people do. But I kind of like I do want her to like like get out. You know? I mean like get her on place. I mean. Yeah. Like you know so like I mean if that goes well like if they end up happy like I'll be happy.
Starting point is 01:16:45 It's just weird like thinking about like them like potentially by building a life and just that whole thing. It's adding a new person to your. your bubble. Yes. You know? And I'm not going to call him dad. Yeah. But you know what?
Starting point is 01:17:01 I know I'm not the only one. No, for sure. I know there's other people out there with like you're older. Like you have step parents, new step parents. It's like. At the age of 30. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:17:10 And I know like I want to know what that dynamic is like. Is it good? Is it bad? I'm sure there's cases of good. Cases of bad. You know what I'm saying? But yeah, call us up. I want to hear about your step pop stories or step mom stories.
Starting point is 01:17:21 818 52010. 105 minds. They're like, I got a lot of them. Brownback mornings, call us up. Rwendo-6. Brownback mornings. Yeah, you're not calling them dad. No, I'm not.
Starting point is 01:17:35 No, you're right. You should call him Daddy. Oh. I'm just calling him, Papa. I'm just calling him mailman. Oh. You're going to call him your mailman? Wow.
Starting point is 01:17:46 He's going to deliver your mail? I don't know what you're talking about, well. It's okay, Angie. I'm already called him papa. Oh. Oh, damn it, I hate you guys. Can't reveal nothing about my life. Yeah, I don't know why you do it, but...
Starting point is 01:18:01 Yeah, my mom got a new boyfriend, I guess. We got Carmen in the line, hold on. No. And I want to hear your guys' stories, too. I'm supposed to meet this dude or whatever next week. And we have some people on the line that have had similar experiences. We have Annalia on line 2 from South L.A. Analia.
Starting point is 01:18:21 Analia. Brown back Hey Good morning in Alia How are you Amelia Amelia? Amelia
Starting point is 01:18:32 I'm sorry I'm sorry Irene is like Not good Amelia from something No worries That happens Amelia
Starting point is 01:18:39 There we go Amelia Amelia talk to me What's your step-parent experience So I've never Called anyone
Starting point is 01:18:49 Dad I don't know my own dad My mom 26 and I'm the oldest. I have two younger brothers. And my mom has been dating on and off throughout our life. And right now she's been with someone for a couple of years, about five. But the family's never met them.
Starting point is 01:19:10 And it's this weird dynamic between like my brother. He's like, I don't want to meet him. And I tell my mom, well, you should bring him around. Like, what's so wrong with us meeting him, right? But my grandma, too, she doesn't want to meet him or anything, so that's a big part. Dang. No support. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:19:34 You can't love again. My grandma, my grandma's like, no me to tell you to tell you to cast with them. Oh. Because my grandma got tired of her, like, just dating on and off. Yeah. Oh, it's been a lot. But, yeah, and, like, we're all, like, from. different dads.
Starting point is 01:19:53 Yeah. So, like, we've never had anyone to call like that or like that father figure. And, like, I feel like I'm already old enough. Like, I'm not going to call anyone dad at this point. No, yeah, that's the thing is like we're older. It's like, yeah, like, I don't want to meet this guy. Like, you know what I'm most afraid of? What if this guy's really cool and I like him?
Starting point is 01:20:15 You know what I'm saying? Right. And then he goes away. That happens, you know? That happens. It really happens. I thought you were going to say that. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:20:27 My mom's all older already, so that can happen, but I know I'm not having no more siblings. Vick, how old is your mom? 49. Oh, she's not. Technology is crazy. Technology, no, stop. And, you know, you might have another sibling coming or something. Cut it out.
Starting point is 01:20:45 No, no, no, no, no, no. The Padino. Wow. Wow. He's already living better than you. He's not even here yet. I love here. I do want to meet Mark Antonio Zulikovina.
Starting point is 01:21:00 Take a picture with Jesus? I feel like you could do that without that fool, though. Yeah, you're right. You're right. I don't need this guy. I don't need this fool. I would feel if anything, you'd be a little bit more overprotective with your mom. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:21:11 So you would want to meet that fool. Try. I mean, yeah. You would want to meet Oscar and see what kind of guy he is. Like, you would step in as that. Yeah, because what if he's, you know, kind of a douche? I mean, that's the thing. All her exes have been.
Starting point is 01:21:24 Exactly. So I would think, like, you, your mentality will be like, oh, I'm going to take that role. Like, I want to protect my mom. Make sure that this is a good dude for her. I know that's a lot, but it's like, again, you're old. You're 30. Yeah. That's really logical, Angie.
Starting point is 01:21:37 It's really logical. Yeah. But it doesn't do logical things. But that also sounds like a lot of work. You know, it's something else to worry about. I know, but it's like. And she's so nice. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:21:48 And Carmen's like a really great time. And she's so pretty. She embarrasses me all the time. No, she doesn't. I know that's what makes her the best. Do we have any other colors? Yeah, we have Rosseo from Sherman Oaks on line one. Okay.
Starting point is 01:22:02 Sherman Oaks. Rossio. Good morning. Good morning. Morning. Talk to me. Tell me about your step. I'm calling more towards your mom's side.
Starting point is 01:22:16 I'm 42. I'm 42 years old. I was married 20 years. And I divorced 10 years. years ago. Yep. And I have not brought anybody around my kids due to the fact that, you know, you're, what you guys are saying, you know, don't bring anybody you're not going to, you're going
Starting point is 01:22:34 to get married with. Right. And right now you gave me hope because right now, honestly, um, it's hard to have a relationship now these days. And your mom's 49. It gave me hope. Oh, that's awesome. You find a new relationship.
Starting point is 01:22:50 Yeah. But don't be so hard on the guy. You know, everybody's different. And maybe he is the guy for your mom. And maybe you should give him a chance. I know, but it's just like he reminds me of like my mom's ex. Like they have the exact same name. So I'm just like, triggered.
Starting point is 01:23:07 You know what I'm saying? I hated that guy. Yeah. But, I mean, not everybody is the same. Believe me, I dated somebody. And I almost brought him around my kids. He turned out to be married. with me and two other women.
Starting point is 01:23:22 Whoa. Hold on. Let's get to that. That's juicy. What happened? What happened? Rosio. Tell us the story,
Starting point is 01:23:30 please. And we were together four years. Four years. He had a triple life? I'm sorry? He had a triple life? Yes. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:23:42 Wow. How did you find out? And though. I have time. I have time. Was he a truck driver? GPS in his car. and that that's how I found him.
Starting point is 01:23:54 I found out in his car. That was smart. That's a smart move. Yeah, you know what? Because I'm a single mom. Yeah. And I work really hard. And I got everything, you know, straight all my, my, I live on my own and everything.
Starting point is 01:24:09 And, you know, I just don't have time to waste. I don't. Yeah. So. You can hear the baby in the back. I can tell you how I know. I'm a nanny. I'm a nanny.
Starting point is 01:24:20 Oh, okay. I got an idea. Look, I'm going to see if Carmen is a big step that has a friend. And we're going to hook her up. Do you like people that look like Jesus? Not unthinkable. Brownback morning's fire 106.
