Starting point is 00:00:00 What's up? This is Be Real from Cypress Hill. Where are you from, Mese? Don't you know I'm local? Oh, man. Shout to baby girl that I forgot your name, but you tweeted us or you DM'd us or you commented us on Instagram that you love that when we start off the show with that. The tukit, Tuki, Tuki.
Starting point is 00:00:19 What's a Burnito Sabanero? Yeah. What's a Bunito Sabanero, Greg? It is a donkey that's celebrating. Celebrating donkey. I love it. You know what it is? It is.
Starting point is 00:00:35 I don't know what it is. Angie? I don't. Angie, you're our best bet. If we're called family feud and they ask a question like this, we're going to go to you, Angie. In the huddle is going to be like, Angie, please tell us the answer. I have no idea. Savanero, that's a jalapeno, but it makes no sense.
Starting point is 00:00:48 Salonero is not a jalapeno. Isn't it something spicy? No, Havonero. Oh, no. Havanaero. Oh, my God. Salonero in English. No.
Starting point is 00:00:56 We are losing. Oh, Sapanero. A donkey from the savaneo. desert wow I like celebrating donkey better
Starting point is 00:01:04 yeah celebrating donkey from the Savannah from the Savannah because you know how they needed they had one there you learn something
Starting point is 00:01:13 new every day did they have one there when he did you support well didn't didn't they he was wearing the the desert to Bethlehem
Starting point is 00:01:20 yes to visit him I thought was a camel I'm a child oh I don't know I'm confused that's the third rages of my boss yeah
Starting point is 00:01:28 they had a burrito a burrito a I hope they had a brito I hope they were hungry Celebrating burritos Bro, it's today It's today's Friday If you are getting by right now
Starting point is 00:01:42 Whether you're wobbling to work Whether you're just wobbling right now You are not alone I have Maximo holding his cheek Because he has a little kangaroo in there Angie's wearing a mask Because she don't feel good I don't have me a little bubble gut situation
Starting point is 00:01:55 I don't know what's going on I'm scared I was telling sci-fi earlier The past like three years, I got COVID every year for New Year. So I don't want to get to here. I don't want to get to here. Knock on wood. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:06 Don't give us COVID, fool. Don't be like Angie, bro. Stop. Stop. I don't have COVID. I forgave her. That's you. Okay.
Starting point is 00:02:14 But yeah, if you're barely here, if you're barely here, too. But we're here. And we got to shout out the 405 because apparently the commute is about to get less miserable if you are willing to pay for it. All right. So there's been construction on the 405. And they actually said this project. has been underway since 2018,
Starting point is 00:02:32 and it is finally now open where there's an expressway where the carpool lane was on the 405 in the O.C. So it's more your area, right, Angie? Yeah, I pass by it every time. Like, wow, like maybe that one pass that's by the mountains would be so great. Yeah, but it's for Angie.
Starting point is 00:02:49 It's for us. It's for us. It's so dumb because it literally, it was just a carpool lane, and now they just want to get money, and now it was an express lane. Listen, I would pay. You would pay, yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:59 Yeah, I always go through those express lanes. I do too. The one going from like the San Gabriel Valley to downtown. Yeah. Phew! Honestly, I've just gone through so many without realizing it that I just bought the sticker. You're like I might as well just buy a sticker. Yeah, I'm buying the sticker.
Starting point is 00:03:12 But Angie, I feel like those freeways already are so wide open. Yeah, they're so delicious. So what do you need this for? That's exactly what I'm saying. We did not need the express lane. We were far with just the carpool. Okay. Well, I was watching the news today in Ginger Chan.
Starting point is 00:03:28 She was like still waiting to get. on it because I guess they still haven't opened. They're just like, I'm here for the opening. They just have to keep buying time. Not the grand opening of a freeway. A freeway. I don't know. You said that.
Starting point is 00:03:40 I thought it was something else, the story. Because there's a story about the thing is Japan. I sent it to Greg. And it's that if you're stuck in traffic, you pay $60 and the motorcycle picks you up. Shut up.
Starting point is 00:03:53 And it drops off a driver. And the driver finishes your car. And the motorcycle takes you. Yep. That's so cool. For $60. For how much? $60.
Starting point is 00:04:03 I would do it. I don't know. I wouldn't trust the other stranger with my car. And I'm afraid of motorcycles. Yeah. It sounds amazing. That sounds really convenient. It sounds incredible.
Starting point is 00:04:13 It sounds convenient. You're in traffic and this is only, this is in Japan. Yeah. Right? You're in traffic. It's really, really bad. It's congested and you're like, man, I really got to get somewhere. Hey, it's like the, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:04:23 It's like a motorcycle. Hey, call the motorcycle. Motorcycle pops in. Do you trade with the driver or someone else's driving? Someone else jumps off the back, takes your car. So you get your little motorcycle driver, which makes you feel a little bit better. That sounds like a hijack. Or $60.
Starting point is 00:04:37 So you get a free car. Yeah. D.A. in real life? Nexus food delivery. Yeah. That while you're in traffic, that I'm cool with. That'd be cool. Imagine you're in traffic.
Starting point is 00:04:47 Bring some food. Bring some coffee. If you need to use a restaurant while you're in traffic, bring a little potter potty. I think we have a nice business idea. I like it. Because then it feels like we're at the border. Oh, yeah. Chiklis, chiklis, chiklis.
Starting point is 00:05:02 Gere's a manco? I don't know, for some reason, they like selling piggybags there. And paintings. Huge paintings. If you want a painting and candy. Yeah, boom, there is the best tie. I'd like it. That's cool.
Starting point is 00:05:11 Pines. All right. Well, no, that has nothing to do with the 4 or 5. I don't know why you think that it would have anything to do with that. You said, something is coming to the freeway or something. If you're like, wait, don't tell me, it's coming. It's coming here. It's coming here.
Starting point is 00:05:21 I can't wait. No, the 4 or 5, you're just going to get more cool in those C. Yeah. That's already big. They're making two expressway. Like they made two. Yeah, it was already on each side. One on each side.
Starting point is 00:05:32 Now there's no carpool. But you can pay and go fast. Yeah. All right. That's fine. All right. That's cool for it. These are the nominees for the Simp of the Week.
Starting point is 00:05:44 My small. It's very exciting. Yes. Because Tyrese wasn't a part of this. He was. Wow. So for sure, winner wasn't here this week. He won last week.
Starting point is 00:05:53 He was? Yes. Really? Tireese's nominee this week? Yes. Wasn't that last week? No, it was this week? Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:06:00 I thought like, Tyrese, you finally have a break? No. No? Okay. Tyrese. Tyrese and his ex Samantha Lee. Mm-hmm. And they were fighting over Tyrese's last name.
Starting point is 00:06:12 And, you know, the petty wars of a breakup. But he's not the winner. He's not the winner. I'm going to let him slide. I'm going to tell us. I'm telling him now right away. Yeah, I'm going to tell us the nominees. Yeah, I'm going to tell us the nominees.
Starting point is 00:06:23 I just want to let Tyrese know he can relax. Okay. All right. No stress. Don't stress. No stress. You don't have to come to the ward show today. But the other nominees, we have a Twitter user or ex-user by the name of Holly Biology who went viral.
Starting point is 00:06:37 And she went viral because she tweeted that she texts her ex for his credit card expiration number. The new one. The new one. Because the old one expired. And she had the audacity. And then he asked why. And she replied. so I can order coffee with puppy eyes
Starting point is 00:06:57 and he sent. And he sent the new car. This is her ex that cheated on her, but she still had his credit card tied to her Starbucks app, so she was still like running it up. Then his expiration expired to his credit card, so she was like, you know what? Let me just hit him.
Starting point is 00:07:13 Give me the new one. Yeah. And he did. Okay. Oh, my God. And she tweeted about it and they went viral and someone, then his sister even sent him to tweet. Like, yo.
Starting point is 00:07:24 You're looking crazy out here, bro. Looking like a sip. I think it had like five million, like, news or something. That's a lot. And you shared that expression, yeah. Our other nominee is a man who allegedly cheated on his girl. And the girl had him outside. However, she was still making him dinner.
Starting point is 00:07:48 Oh, my gosh, she's stupid. I don't even want this. Like, for real. See, this what the fuck? I'm grateful. You're about to drop the food. I don't even want. You're right.
Starting point is 00:07:59 That's why you out here. I ain't even do nothing. You treat me like this, bro. I can't do this, bro. Well, you ready, tell the truth, then I'll let you back in here. How about that? Tell the truth about what? Oh, man.
Starting point is 00:08:13 To me, she's the sim in this situation. I know we talked about this already, but he cheered on you. You're kicking him out, but you're still giving him food. Yes. Yeah. She is the sim. Yeah. But like he could be this in too because he didn't leave.
Starting point is 00:08:26 Like he didn't leave. Like you're going to stay outside on the porch. In the cold? I was more so thinking he's the pin because he still stay. No. And he's still getting food. Yeah, this couple is nominated. Yeah, the couple is nominated.
Starting point is 00:08:41 And then we also have Travis Kelsey because not only did he unfollow his girl, ex-girl for flirting with his brother's teammate, which is Jay-Lil, They hunt. Yeah. Hurts. Hurts. It hurts. It hurts.
Starting point is 00:08:58 It hurts. And after that, he went on and expressed Taylor Swift's nickname. I guess we kind of had an idea that it was Travis, but he had never said it or used it. You thought her nickname was Travis? No, they're a couple names. It was what? Tavis. Tavis.
Starting point is 00:09:19 Tavis. Tavis. So, obviously, we already know TAY, but he had never said anything about. it and finally he used it and everyone went crazy I don't know why because he you know he already was his old man before meeting her oh no he wasn't she liked an Instagram announcement from the chiefs about you breaking this record all right now thanks Taye I appreciate you um on the uh chiefs cheese thanks Taye Taylor Swift yeah yeah yeah let's hurry up and crown someone because I look you feel
Starting point is 00:09:50 like that canker sore your mouth is hurt yeah more you talk bro yeah yeah It's hurting me. I feel bad, bro. So our winner is. The canker's order. The guy who gave his Starbucks expiration number three. Yeah. You are a viral simp.
Starting point is 00:10:09 You're a simpaholic. Superviral. You're simping while she's sipping on her coffee at your expense. That's how you know he don't have a new girl. Because he's paying you up then. He didn't move on because he was okay with paying for her stuff. You're not wrong with that. You are not wrong.
Starting point is 00:10:22 You have a new girl. No, she's getting in. I can't even talk to all of that. Or he was leaving his options open. No. No. The second I get a new girl, I'm paying for all her stuff. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:32 I'm not paying for my stuff. Okay, Greg. Stop trying to make yourself out like. Look at this guy. And they're not show up for Los Angeles. Okay, bro. All right. But that's our main simp of the week.
Starting point is 00:10:40 Congratulations to you. Simps, soup, soup, soup, soup, soup, soup, soup, soup, soup, soup. Skolling with the homies. Hey. Yeah. Happy that. That's right. He's prepared.
Starting point is 00:10:53 He's finally here. He's in the studio. Brain is here. Nice. Okay. So if I hit the right sounder. Look at this. Everything's a win, you guys.
Starting point is 00:11:02 We're hacking in there. A win is a win. A win. Gregsy, you've been scrolling a lot. I've been scrolling a lot, and I saw the next viral sensation. Who is it? And her name goes by Gail Lewis. And if you don't know who she is by now, everybody in the world already does.
Starting point is 00:11:19 Really? Because she's. Gail Lewis. Gail Lewis. This is a Walmart employee from the South. Okay. Honestly, I have no words because I'm just going to let her speak for why she's so viral really quick. Hold on.
Starting point is 00:11:31 Attention Walmart. This is Gail Lewis. Ten year associate. Morris, Illinois, 844. Signing out. Good night. So today was an end of an era for me. What you just saw was me signing out for the last time at my Walmart that I have worked at for 10 years.
Starting point is 00:11:47 It's a happy sad. Those people became like family. I've been through a lot with them. They watched my back. I watched theirs. They helped me out. I helped them out. It just hurts, but it's a happy sad.
Starting point is 00:11:59 Gail Lewis, people. Okay. 10 years, that's it? Yeah. All right. You would think that, right? No, it's, because I've seen this video. Yes.
Starting point is 00:12:08 She's just signing out, like she's in peace out. Yeah. And then she has a cool message in her car. Like, kind of what? You kind of see everyday people do. But why is she famous them? We don't know. People in the world are going crazy for her,
Starting point is 00:12:20 and they have even tried to go look for her. No. Wait. Listen to this. When Gail Lewis left Walmart, Morris, Illinois, the world was left traumatized. After grieving for days, I decided to do something about it. I packed my bags and prepared for a journey across the country. Excuse me, where the fuck Gail Lewis. People are looking for her.
Starting point is 00:12:38 You're kidding. They're going to this Walmart and looking for Gail Lewis. So all I have to do is record myself crying in the car, which I do all the time. Yeah, and I'm going to go viral. You can do a sign out right now, like this is Irene, signing out, eighth floor. Well, don't do that. Thanksgiving just passed. No.
Starting point is 00:12:56 No. I don't mean it like that, I mean. She was still alive after. She was talking in her car. Thanksgiving just passed, right? So they can't find her. Yeah, they can't find Gayle Lewis. Nobody knows.
Starting point is 00:13:10 Is she even a real person? She's real. Gaylewis, there's a lot of pictures and videos of her. Okay, that video is on her account. This is her account. She posted this video. And people also gave dedication to her at their Thanksgiving dinner. My family and friends and this amazing music.
Starting point is 00:13:23 and Gail Lewis's service, 10 years at Walmart, she just retired. I hate people. People are going crazy for her. It never does, Angie. It never makes sense. They just choose like, hey, this is the one we're going to like make a meme. She's a meme now. She's a meme now.
Starting point is 00:13:40 Because it was a super regular TikTok. Yeah. Just average her. She's last year of Walmart just leaving. Ten years of service. Yes, that's incredible. That's a long service. And her like, even in her car, like she didn't even do full cry.
Starting point is 00:13:53 She wasn't like, is she not on the company? She wasn't like, like there was no real, like, extraness. Right. But even then, it made her viral. Yep, and people were on the hunt for her. Yeah, no, I'm actually Googling her. They're going to put her under the tree. They're going to make an ornament of her for Christmas.
Starting point is 00:14:08 T-shirts. Do you more people? Wear it. Yeah. For the search and rescue? There's a lot of people actually looking for her. They're going to put her instead of the baby in the nasibiento. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:19 Oh, this is just to start. She's everywhere on the internet right now. I had a... Thank you. Thank you for putting us up on that type of game. If you're like... Because sometimes we see the memes, like, I don't understand it. Right.
Starting point is 00:14:29 Just number one, it's probably going to be something dumb. And then you don't need to understand it because that's so crazy. Yeah, they put like her head on like Super Bowl championships and stuff like that. Like, it's crazy. They already started with the merch. I love her. There's merch. There's everything about her.
Starting point is 00:14:44 Oh, my God. Can you just play her a little goodbye again? Attention Walmart. This is Gail Lewis. 10-year associate. Morris, Illinois, 844. Signing out. Good night.
Starting point is 00:14:53 So today wasn't end of an era for me. What you just saw was me. No, it's the start of an era for you. Yeah. It's the end of an era of no one knowing you. And it's the start of the whole world looking for you. I need her. She had over 25 million views.
Starting point is 00:15:09 Walmart used to hit her up and ask for her to come back. Yeah. She could be the new spokesperson. Do commercials and stuff like that? That would be crazy. That's wild. That's wild. All right.
Starting point is 00:15:18 I'm going to tease you with one because I thought this one was really stupid. But it's going to be viral too. And people are doing it in different department stores. I guess it was a guy that said, my mom came over and she decorated my house. Let me show it to you. And he does like a whole, like his whole house. He's like, it's a little red truck. What a, like, hauling the Christmas tree.
Starting point is 00:15:38 Oh, I know what you're trying to do. Right? And so he's like, and here's a napkin. What a little red truck hauling him Christmas tree. That's all he's doing because all his mom did was decorate his house with the little red truck hauling the Christmas tree. Now people are going to Marshall's, T.J. nice home goods and they're finding the decorations of a little red truck haul into Christmas tree and they're doing videos of that it makes it's literally nothing that but the way that he said
Starting point is 00:16:00 haul into Christmas tree I feel like I'm saying it wrong but like they say it's another like probably North Dakota or something I think I actually have a little red truck haul into Christmas tree yes so that's going viral everywhere too watch look for it we're going to play with and come back I'm going to look for that right now let me crazy all right well look at us coming up a little red truck all the Christmas Street is Farrow 106 LAA's number for hip hop Los diez. Power 106, LA's number one for hip-hop with a little red truck. Holland, Christmas Street.
Starting point is 00:16:27 We're just doing scrolling with the homies. Can you please hit scrolling with the homies? Scrolling with the homies. And Greg was showing us about Gayle Lewis, a lady that was working at Walmart for 10 years. And she's just randomly going viral. She retired 10 years and she sang by. And then she did a heartfelt goodbye on her car. And then now everyone is like, dude, where's Gail Lewis?
Starting point is 00:16:51 I'm thankful for her. I'm thankful for her to Yeah Shut up Yesterday we're talking about Christmas trees And Greg says that sometimes His family themes Christmas trees
Starting point is 00:17:00 So they like one One time they had one with Was it the Broncos? Yeah Russell Wilson With Russell Wilson at the top As the star He's gonna put Gail Lewis as the star
Starting point is 00:17:08 Genius Yeah something like that Right But I was telling him like Hey since we're talking about Stupid things that are going viral There's a guy Who his mom decorated
Starting point is 00:17:16 His whole house With a little red truck Hall on a Christmas tree And just because of the way He said it Randomly now viral. Do we have the audio anywhere? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:24 Okay, let me hear it. Y'all, look at these Christmas decorations. My mama got me. She got me this little mug with a little red truck hauling a Christmas tree. And she got me this little light up red truck hauling a Christmas tree. And she got me this little welcome mat with a little red truck hauling a Christmas tree. So he's going throughout his whole house, right? And Irene, pull up someone or like a, of someone that's like copying it.
Starting point is 00:17:53 So now people are going into different like home goods stores, T.J. Max's looking for the decoration of Little Red Trucks hauling a Christmas tree. And then they try to do their impersonation of him. He would be proud of me. Because I really have a red truck hauling to Christmas tree. Yeah. Look what my mom sent me. A little red truck. A little Red Truck.
Starting point is 00:18:13 On my lawn. It's on your lawn? It's on my lawn. Oh my God. Irene, do have any of the mockers? Yes, I do. This is viral. Hold on.
Starting point is 00:18:23 Are you ready? Mm-hmm. Oh, it's not going. Hold on a Christmas tree. Oh, hold on a red truck. Hold on a Christmas tree. Yeah. It's viral.
Starting point is 00:18:35 It's viral in Middle America, you guys. It's the thing that's going on. America. Yes. All over on Christmas. And Irene, you're right. This just goes to, so just keep posting on social media. You never know what is going to go viral for what reason.
Starting point is 00:18:47 That is true. That is true. That is true. That is true. It's 5106. L.A.'s number one for hip-a-pop. We made it Friday. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:52 And we're. Finally in December. It's finally Christmas time. I like it. I love it. I feel like we've been in December since September with the Christmas decorations. Right. You've been in Christmas vibes since September, Angie.
Starting point is 00:19:04 Oh, I have since July. I know. Angie likes Michael Bubli in July. And I feel like the weather is finally December too as well. I feel like it's finally cold. Especially in the morning. It's super cold. By the way, Greg, I just realized my new challenge for you.
Starting point is 00:19:18 What is it? Remix a Michael Bublay song or mashup of Michael Bublay song. Angie loves Michael Boubley. Would you like to request a Michael Bubles song? Any. Any. I love them all. The whole album.
Starting point is 00:19:28 That's our, that's my request. Pick, what's your favorite Michael Bubles song? Okay. Do the one with Talia. The one, the Feliz Navidad. Boom. Feliz Navidad. Michael Bublae match it up with something you can choose.
Starting point is 00:19:42 Say less. Maybe with Happy by Ferell. Will you get it? Happy? Please. All right. Maybe. I got you.
Starting point is 00:19:48 I got you. We'd like to give Greg C challenges. He likes them. He's a match of King. demolish them and make them better. All right. Okay.
Starting point is 00:19:56 Okay. But coming up, keep it here. 715, we have your tickets to go to Rolling Loud, baby. And I'm going to just
Starting point is 00:20:01 let you know right now. You have to know what's coming up at 8 o'clock because there's so much good stuff. Not only we're going to get into the Cheeseman with Angie and Soma, but also, we are going to forgive someone on the Nottie list.
Starting point is 00:20:12 So if you have a kid that's been especially this year, that might need forgiveness. A.K. You too, you could throw it back at your parents. If they've been, you saw him what?
Starting point is 00:20:20 Not Santa, but Sancho? You can forgive because Santa's favorite station. Yep. And he gave us the power to forgive one person each Friday for their naughty deed of the year. Okay? We're doing that at 8 o'clock. Also, as it relates to boxing, you guys, some inch went down yesterday.
Starting point is 00:20:42 It was crazy. I don't know if even talking about this is going to cost me my friendship with Golden Boy. But we have to talk about what happened when Ryan was. Garcia, he went scorched earth on Oscar de la Oya and on Bernard Hopkins. I got to tell you all about that. That's coming up at 8 o'clock. It's a lot. It's a lot of vibes.
Starting point is 00:21:02 Speaking of vibes, my guy over here, Maximo, with the vibe. Are you okay to do this? Yeah, yeah, we got this. All right, and just bear with this because we're a family here, all right? And we're all kind of coming in here a little twekle. Maximo has like a sore in his mouth. I won't call it a cold sore because people get all mean about colds. By the way, it's okay to have a cold sore.
Starting point is 00:21:21 You saw it in your mouth, bro. I know. I was sick, bro. See, people like that. I want you to know the first time I ever got a cold sore was when we had went camping. We came back from camping and I got a little cold store. And my family told me, oh, that means a cricket peed on you.
Starting point is 00:21:38 So my whole, I swear. And I was little probably like five, six at the time. Yeah. So I got a cold sore at that time. And any time I would get a cold sore that popped up, I'm like, dang, all these crickets. Keep finding me And he peeing on my lip
Starting point is 00:21:53 Like why do they do that? Some crazy crickets That is a wild story to believe But bro It's true They told me that About the dog If you see a dog pooping
Starting point is 00:22:02 And you get a side in your eye Yeah It's like oh you have a thing Because you saw Cricket peed on you I believe it for a very long time You eat watermelon and milk And I said they told
Starting point is 00:22:12 You can explode or something It's a lie Yeah I never heard that one There's different ones Crickets don't pee I just looked it up Okay
Starting point is 00:22:18 Hey Google wasn't around when I was five and six, okay? Right. So I believe that until I learned what it was and then people were mean about that. And I was like, bro, I got a one out of five and six. Just to say, I'm not judging you, Maximil. You're my little baby. So cricket pitted Maximo's mouth.
Starting point is 00:22:33 Pause. All right, little cricket over there. Let's get into. Gang member named Cricket. A little cricket. That's the homie griot. All right. Let's get a word on bad nice.
Starting point is 00:22:46 Word on Rosecrans. What's the word? JZ. Possibly hinted at a new album in the works. So Jay-Z in the Brooklyn Public Library were auctioning off a one-of-a-kind, like, case. It was like a trophy case. And it was a highlight of all his albums. Oh, that's awesome.
Starting point is 00:23:04 Right. So in it, there was 13, like, cards, and each of them was his albums. But there was 14 slots. So next to his 4-44-album, there was an empty slot. Oh, that's so cool. So pretty much meaning or we assuming that something has to feel that. Something has to feel that. Because why else would there be 14 slots?
Starting point is 00:23:28 Right. And I'm wondering, did he count watch the throne? I don't know. Because he also, he did have the Carter's with his wife after 444. So that could be that. But if it's not there. No, because it says solo studio albums. Yes.
Starting point is 00:23:43 Yeah. And everyone is kind of going crazy thinking like, yo, is he dropping something and something in the That's just a good way to drop. Yes, and I know a lot of people are thinking that it's going to be in the beginning of 2024. Yeah. That's what they're saying. Oh, top of a year. Top of the year.
Starting point is 00:23:58 Okay. And he's been hinting a lot of like a book of a hole. That's what people are thinking. Oh, okay, because he has a museum after the book of hole, which I think ends it on the fourth. The fort is his birthday. Which is in three days, Monday. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:24:14 I'm so good at remembering birthdays. Yeah, that's crazy. But in October. Gail Lewis. Gail Lewis? Gail Lewis? Gail Lewis? Gail King.
Starting point is 00:24:25 Gail King. Gail King. Gail King asked them about possibly working on an album and this is what he said. When you sit here, you know, the one question everybody has is, is there a part of you that thinks it's time for me to get back in the studio or? Yeah, I think... Because we can't use the word retirement for you. Yeah, yeah, yeah. No, I already did that.
Starting point is 00:24:48 I can't do that again. I would say I want to make music, but it has to be something important. I don't want to just make a bunch of tunes. I have to be saying something important. It has to mean something. Sheesh. That's crazy that she says that that. That's the question we all want to know.
Starting point is 00:25:04 No, we want to know about the elevator. Wow. That's true! We want to know about Becky. What happened? Who's Becky? With the good hair. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:25:14 Yeah. Come on, yeah. Okay, oh, no way. We want to know about the new album. If she forgave him, we all. You all need to forgive us. I know, but that still goes to do. We want to know exactly what happened.
Starting point is 00:25:24 We want to know about the 14th slot in the album. I'm looking at it right now. I mean, that's going to come out eventually. True, yeah, like, we're going to get that. If I were to die, I would come back to life once they start talking about. They're like, what? What? What?
Starting point is 00:25:36 We're talking about it. For that? Yeah. The elevator audio has leaked? Oh, what? Yeah, all right. That's cool. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:25:43 I would look forward to a Jay Z album. Yeah. Yeah, 4-4 was really cool. Like, he knows how to. What ends up happening with hip hop in the older statesman is that since there has been no example of an older one that's really making music, that when you hit a certain age, you don't know if you can rap. That's what we saw with like Under 2000 and why he dropped like the instrumental album or the flu album. When he was like, I'm old. I don't know what to rap about anymore.
Starting point is 00:26:07 It takes someone like a Jay-Z to kind of lay out the blueprint, which low-key is on his albums. Vibes to let even let them know what to do once they're. they hit a certain age, you know? Exactly. And I mean, it makes sense. Like, he lives a great, luxurious life and people don't want to really hear about how great you're living all the time. I want to know the gems.
Starting point is 00:26:28 Rapping about retirement plans. Yeah. No. He should call his album, a dinner with Jay-Z. Yeah. Like, if I'm only dropping gems, hey, you don't need a, like, this thing on Twitter that people are like, 500 grand or dinner with Jay-Z. 500 grand.
Starting point is 00:26:43 Listen to this album. This is the dinner with Jay-Z. Boom. Jay-Z, if you do it, I'm here. Come on, brother. Oh, that's really cool. I'm excited. All right.
Starting point is 00:26:50 Well, online language learning platform released the 2023 survey of the most commonly used slang terms. Okay. There's an online learning language platform. Correct. Angie, let's sign up. Yeah. Make you look hip? So you're supposed to make you look hip.
Starting point is 00:27:08 And I was going to read the words off for you. But like the top words. The top five words. But I'm a, I found someone in the news. and he's a white man and I'm going to allow him I'm going to allow him to read them for you because it's just way better
Starting point is 00:27:26 and the most used word is suss short for suspicious oh I'm being corrective to my ear suss not suss suss bet which means I agree is next
Starting point is 00:27:40 yeat means to violently throw something salty means to be upset and cap which is another word for lying rounds out the top five words. They're the five words that teens are using, right? Not like the words. It's teens, right? Yeah, it's supposed to be slang words that teens are using,
Starting point is 00:27:59 and they're saying that a lot of parents don't know. Yeah, they don't know. They don't know. I know. Tees my home. And Riz wasn't even. Riz is going on there. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:28:08 That's going to be 24. Big. No, number one, suss. No. Seuss. That's real soo. Suze. I love how he said it,
Starting point is 00:28:17 Chad Tom Marr, Armenian homies, and Glendale, you're not saying something nice when you say that. Really? Really? Yeah. Is it a bad word? Yeah, it's like that bad word. There's like a long word,
Starting point is 00:28:28 and Suis is the shortened version of that long word. That's a lot. That's number one. Okay, okay. But the other ones? Bet. Bet. That's pretty simple.
Starting point is 00:28:42 I feel like everybody knows bet. Yeah, fact. Yeah. I mean, I would have thought bet would have been number one. Yeah. Because I feel like that one was like used Like throughout the ear It's because we're cool
Starting point is 00:28:52 That's why we know My parents use it Like okay bet Yeah they use it But they actually mean put money up Yeah actually yeah So if bet means dip Like all right bed means like cool got it
Starting point is 00:29:01 Yeah But now people like all right Bet bet like bed on it now Oh all right Yeah same same but dude I didn't know that yeet I wish you would say like yeet Yee
Starting point is 00:29:09 Yeah you got to say like a little energy That's how he says I bet you get up out of bed And you go yay Yeah I feel like I After you hook up with a girl, you're like, yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:29:19 I don't know about that one, but I'm like, Salty. You know what a girl? I know me neither. Salty. I don't know. I feel like salty really shouldn't have been on this list. That's like two thousand.
Starting point is 00:29:29 Yeah. Or that's not like a teen word. Yeah. You're so salty. Yeah. Yeah. And cap. Oh, that's my favorite word of all time.
Starting point is 00:29:37 Yeah. Yeah. I use it all the time. Cap. Cap is a good word. She's like, what am I wearing on my head? A head? Cap.
Starting point is 00:29:44 Exactly. Oh my God. That was your word on Rosecrans. Brought to you by your Southern California Toyota dealer. Yes. Maximo from Brown Bag Mornings. Wow. Six.
Starting point is 00:29:55 Yerite. Oh my God. Maximo's filling in for Rosecrans, big, by the way. He's not gone. We didn't fire him. He didn't think it's too early. He's just sick. He's like really sick.
Starting point is 00:30:05 Yeah. Is he okay? He's a little salty. Is he okay? Bet. Yeah. Guys are annoying. No, for real.
Starting point is 00:30:12 He's not. He's fine. He's fine. He just sounds really. really bad. Oh, well, that's every day, but is he okay?
Starting point is 00:30:19 No, like his voice. He's fine, but he sounds like a frog and he's just like. Well, that's every day. Is he okay? Yes. You gotta throw it out like he?
Starting point is 00:30:25 Call the cap on that. He? Yeah. He's got the Riz no more? He's been not Riz Kranzig. He seemed fine. I don't know. Bet.
Starting point is 00:30:32 I know. Bet. Yeah, he's a little salty. Yeah. All right. Leave it to the teens and me. We're trying to riz you up. That's what it is.
Starting point is 00:30:39 Look, hit us up right now. We have your tickets. You're trying to riz me up. That's what? What is that mean? Oh, now all of a sudden you know how to use Riz, huh? You're married, though. Now you know how to use Riz, huh?
Starting point is 00:30:52 She's married. I'm a married spud, okay? Oh, yeah, all right. We'll sew it on the side. I'll put my Riz to the side. This is Be Real from Cypress Hill. Where are you from, Esse? Don't you know I'm local?
Starting point is 00:31:05 In and out. That's what I was waiting for it somewhere. Angie. All about. Yes. Angie, what is your mom call in and out? El-a-colito. El-co. A little elbow. What?
Starting point is 00:31:17 Because it looks like that. The arrow. The arrow is an elbow. Yeah. Look at it. So there's a new book called the ins and outs of In-N-Out Burger, the inside story of California's first drive-through and how it became a beloved cultural icon. That is a very long name for a book. Yeah. But because of this, people are like going into the book about like the different secret menu items.
Starting point is 00:31:38 And I want to know what secret menu items. You guys know. Like, which are the ones that you know? Animal style for ice. Animal style for sure. I didn't know what's secret menu. I felt like, but then it's like,
Starting point is 00:31:45 it's not on the menu. Yeah. I would say grilled onions. I'm asking for the grilled onions and tiger burger. Would be a secret menu thing. Okay. You saw grilled cheese. The Neapolitan shake.
Starting point is 00:31:56 Yeah, that's all the shakes in one. What? Yeah. I didn't know that one. And you try it. Oh, the one letty taught me was that when it's raining, you can get free coffee and hot chocolate, right? I think I did.
Starting point is 00:32:06 You did. Yeah, you just told everybody. Oh, my bad. Now it was going to be a longer line. Three by three. too, right? Yes, they call that a triple triple triple, which is weird.
Starting point is 00:32:14 Triple triple. A triple triple, three patties, lettuce, tomato spread, and three slices of cheese with or without onions. We all know that we've heard of the Flying Dutchman. Has anyone tried it?
Starting point is 00:32:23 No. Yeah. It's not that. It's an in-and-out secret menu item. What is that? It's two slices of cheese melted between two patties.
Starting point is 00:32:32 So it's cheese. Patti? Like the cheese is the outside. Oh. Okay. That's what's called the flying. It's like if the patty was flying.
Starting point is 00:32:41 Gotcha. Yeah. I don't know. I don't know what the Dutchman part of it. Maybe because it's cheesy. I don't know. There's the other one with the onions, right? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:49 But that's also part of the Flying Dutchman. Got it. There's a tomato wrap. I've seen that. Oh, yeah. You've seen it? Yeah. And it looks really messy.
Starting point is 00:32:58 Yeah, my healthy friend gets that. Okay, I would think just go protein style. Protein style is lettuce instead of the bun. And by healthy, he means the cop. Oh, you're a cop friend? No, not my cop friend. Will gets that? No.
Starting point is 00:33:11 Who gets it? You don't have more friends You have a cop friend Flavu. No, it's actually like my close friend I forgot the name My close friend I'm having a blank moment right now
Starting point is 00:33:23 Cap, all right But the tomato wrap is just like The protein style But the buns are tomato slices That sounds crazy to me Sounds messy too And then there's the double meat It's just two patties
Starting point is 00:33:35 Oh the pretty girl Just double double Nothing else? No, it looks like It makes it two patties With the stuff Oh, did that be? Is it double double?
Starting point is 00:33:43 Yeah, hold on. Let me keep reading. I've had an eight patties. Double meat. Two patties, lettuce, tomato, and spread with or without onions. So double, double. I love everything they put with or without onions. Because a lot of people don't like onions, but grilled onions at In and Out, they hit.
Starting point is 00:34:01 There's a four by four, which is literally the four of everything, which you got to be a monster to eat that. I've had an eight by eight before. You've had an eight by eight? That needs to be a challenge. You know how some restaurants have like a challenge? like a food challenge so what they do is after the fourth patty they can't sell it to you together they have to sell you the paddy separately and then they put it together crazy you have to put it together well it's really cool learning about all of these like a
Starting point is 00:34:24 insider infos right right yeah and the fact like how do people find out and who comes up who finds out like yo did you know like who told you yeah that is true when it comes to fries you can ask for them well done which is extra crispy I'm going to to do that. Oh, yeah. Or even light, which is less cooked. Oh. You've done light?
Starting point is 00:34:45 No, my older brother does light, and then my little brother does extra cooked. Extra crispy. You can ask for your cheese cold, which means that they don't melt it on the burger, like when they're. That sounds gross. Oh, my God, that sounds amazing. Oh, you can also ask to have your burger cut in half or in quarters. Cool.
Starting point is 00:35:04 That's so cool. Not actual quarters, Willie, like in force. Yeah, like a force. I would do that. You turned way too up for that. I don't know. You turned way too up for that. Way too up for that.
Starting point is 00:35:12 Yeah. Quarters. I eat while I was driving. That would be good. Oh, yeah. So, we can cut it in quarters? Now I'm going to do that. Come on.
Starting point is 00:35:19 I think I've heard, too, that you could chop up the pepper chineas. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. You can get them in there. In the actual burger. Look at us. This is making me hungry. I know. And in and out doesn't open to like 11.
Starting point is 00:35:33 Yeah, come on. Oh, yeah. Send me some. Look, keep it here because we're going to help the homie next, the hungry homie because he's listening. or she's been listening. Which home me are we helping? We're going to help the home girl Lucy. Lucy.
Starting point is 00:35:45 And she's dealing with some grinches on her block. What? Oh, my gosh. It's only December 1st. Let's help her out next. Happy Friday. Happy December 1st, Los Angeles. It's Power 106.
Starting point is 00:35:58 LA's number one for hip-hop. Buenos deyes. We got to have some shout-outs. Irene, who we shout out, baby girl? Letty, Desiree, wants to wish her parents, Sergio and Rebecca, a great day, and they keep working hard and be nice. because they will be choosing their nursing home in the future.
Starting point is 00:36:14 Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. I don't understand this shout out. Okay, like, I'm going to read it. Okay, okay. Desiree wants to wish her parents, Sergio, and Rebecca, a great day, and to keep working hard and to be nice to us because we'll be choosing their nursing home in the future. So I'm assuming it's Desiree and her siblings.
Starting point is 00:36:30 A date, not day. I think we got confused. No. I just got confused that, like, why she, shout out to her parents. Yeah. But then, yeah, the whole nursing home and that. That's kind of mean. I was just reading what I was.
Starting point is 00:36:43 Just kidding. She's being a jolkster. She's like, be nice to them. Be nice to us. We don't choose where you live at later. Come on. Sheesh. Shout to Desiree and her siblings and her parents.
Starting point is 00:36:52 Right. And the whole family. And then Abel wants to wish his girlfriend Sarah H. A happy birthday. Arlene wants... That's what he wrote. Sarah H. He wrote Sarah H.
Starting point is 00:37:03 Oh, okay. Arlene wants to wish her son Ricky a happy birthday. He turns eight today. Oh, hi, Ricky. Z. Hype Girl on Instagram wants to wish her daughter, Callie, a happy birthday. She turns 10 tomorrow. Amazing.
Starting point is 00:37:16 And Drizzi wants to wish his daughter, Caitlin, a happy birthday. They listen to Brownback every morning on the way to school. Oh, I love it. Happy birthday to all you kids out there. You share a birthday with my son, Jorge.
Starting point is 00:37:27 To his birthday, 22. Yeah. Happy birthday, my little December babies, my little sadges, sadging. Ew. Shout out to Carmen, Alex, Jocelyn, Josiah, and the twin Edgar. that went to WSS yesterday.
Starting point is 00:37:41 You're so hilarious. Yeah, we were at WSS yesterday on Crenshaw and Obama and it was so cool. It was like a line packed with people. Shout out to WSS too for their WSS cares. This is what they do to just like make sure like you have a good Christmas. You get to go pick whichever toy you want. That's great. Yeah, it's like a big old table.
Starting point is 00:38:00 Yeah, you guys had it and which one do you want? Yeah, it was so tight. And then they get to go in there pick which one they want. And it was cool because there was like this couple of acres. And you know Edgers there's so cool. Yeah. They don't want to touch the toy. They don't want to.
Starting point is 00:38:12 Yeah. But you showed up. It's like, bro, you waited in line. It's a long line. It was cold. Get your toy. And so we're like, get your toy right now. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:20 It's one of those things where their mom still sees them as little kids. Yeah. Let's go. Yeah. And it's so funny because we took a photo with them. And then one of the guys is like, everybody say, on three, say, cut. And then they did it.
Starting point is 00:38:35 And I was like, I'm sorry, guys. I know we bring corny. And they're like, no, we like the vibe. Is that bad? Yeah. Shout to the twin Edgars. That's not their name. They are twins.
Starting point is 00:38:44 Yeah, they were twins. Yeah, and they had Edgar cuts. Oh. They're good ninos. So many hos. Yes. And also, shout out Lily and Alex
Starting point is 00:38:52 that were at WSS. And they came all the way from Minnesota. They had came from Minnesota because Bessa van Mucho is this weekend at Dodger Stadium. So that's going to be really cool beings. But they were like, no, we heard you on the radio. So we came by here. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:39:05 And I'm like, dang, you're a long way from Minnesota. Right. Very far. Like it came to say it was so they were really sweet they were like one of the first people in line too So it was really cool to meet them yeah shout out yeah there's a everybody out Yeah um shout out everybody else that we saw do I got all those no are you sure because there's one that's Carmen I remember yeah wait wait wait oh it's okay it's okay hey everybody else that we saw and we wrote down fraring to say she doesn't question no I literally went through my text yeah yeah I think
Starting point is 00:39:37 I was at the end right Carmen, Alex, Jocelyn. And that's when we got to do that. Josaline. Josiah. Yeah. That's what I said. Okay.
Starting point is 00:39:44 Well, right back at me. I know you always wanted to do this, Irene, so here's your chance. Ow! Oh! Oh! Are you in a room Christmas on Horito's birthday? It's better to first, too. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:39:56 Oh, yeah. Love you too, Erin. Love you. Let's you. All right, check this out with me. You need a homie or need some help. We need your help. We need a line.
Starting point is 00:40:06 I mean phone line. We got you. The homie help line. All right, we're helping the home girl Lucy. Happy birthday, Luce. Oh, no, that's Lisa. Yeah. Angie, what's my favorite Lucy song?
Starting point is 00:40:18 That no one is going to understand but me. Ready? Lucy. Lucy. I hate true. We're done. That's a good one, too. That's not the one we're talking about.
Starting point is 00:40:25 We're talking about Amisphere. Come on. This is hip-hop. All right. Lucy hits up. She says, happy holidays, Brown Bag. So my family loves the holidays.
Starting point is 00:40:34 And we go all that for Christmas. Every year, we're at that house on the blog. Y'all know that house. lights, decorations, inflatables, you name it, we have it. Most of the neighbors love it, especially the ones with kids. We love seeing the joy in everyone's eyes who walks or drives by. I know you don't enjoy that light bill, though. However, there are two neighbors on our block who are green shoes.
Starting point is 00:40:55 One lives two houses down from us, and I always feel bad for them, and I try to be nice because they're old. I know they're grumpy. But on Tuesday, last Tuesday, I'm assuming, the old man who my mom calls El Viehito Anohon, wow. You know him as an o'hon, man, is crazy. Came over and asked us nicely if we could turn off our lights at 8 p.m. Because they leaked through his window and didn't allow him to sleep in peace. He legit said, no one needs to see Christmas lights past 8 p.m.
Starting point is 00:41:24 L.O. That's saying it nicely. Wow. I responded as nicely as I could and said, we think about it. Yesterday, he brought the other neighbor who's a hater, and they said they were going to cut our electricity and even throw. to cut our inflatables wires. At first I thought it was funny,
Starting point is 00:41:43 but then I realized they were really pissed off. We obviously don't want them, want to be mean, but it's only a few weeks, and we don't want to turn off our lights. My dad is not saying we should turn off our lights earlier, but I feel we shouldn't give in. What should we do?
Starting point is 00:41:56 Do I let them bully us out of our Christmas spirit? Tell the cops they threaten us or ignore them. Don't call the cops on our be it. Yeah, that's messed up. Ignore them. Christmas lights aren't even that bright. How many Christmas it has a lot. Yeah, well, this is your house.
Starting point is 00:42:12 My house, but it doesn't leak through a window. You don't know that. You're not your neighbors. Right. I have windows in front of my house right next to my lights. None leak in. You're not. You're not your neighbors.
Starting point is 00:42:25 My neighbor. But there's always neighbors that are just going to find any little thing. I saw this too, like where a neighbor like had hit up her neighbors and was like, hey, like, I can't sleep. And then literally the neighbor's like, your window's not. even facing our left. But it's like, it's there like, no, it doesn't allow me to sleep. And some people are that sensitive. Like, for example, you know how the TVs have a little light at the bottom?
Starting point is 00:42:47 Like the little small red light. Yeah. My sweater has to cover that in order to go to sleep. Everything has to be dark plus that has to be covered. Like that's how dark some people need it to go to sleep. So imagine if there's even just a little bit of light, a little bit of tint. I can see a little bit of shadow. And also if you're old, like, it probably just bothers him throughout the day.
Starting point is 00:43:08 Like he's probably just grumpy and like 8 p.m. to them is probably like midnight too. Right. Yeah, my grandma would be knocked out by 8.30. But 8 p.m. to us is like, you can still go outside. What are you talking about? Especially during the summer. Having too much fun on Christmas.
Starting point is 00:43:22 Right. Yeah. Scrooge. What should our baby girl Lucy and her family do, okay? They love the Christmas spirit. They love the lights. They love when people drive by, take pictures, all that good stuff. They love that the kids love it.
Starting point is 00:43:34 But their neighbors, El Jihito and O'hon and his hater homie. They were like, hey, I like how he first said nicely, and then he came with the gang. Like, hey, maybe I ask you a kid. I'm going to cut these wires. What? That'll be crazy. All right. All right, check this out, homie.
Starting point is 00:43:48 You need a homie or need some help. We need your hair. We need a line. I mean, phone line. We got you for the homie help line. All right, let's help Lucy out. Lucy and her family, they put up all the lights on the block. They have cool little inflatables.
Starting point is 00:44:05 They're having a great time for this. this Christmas, okay? But her neighbors, two of her neighbors, don't like it. They seem to be old. One of them is called El Viejo Nocon, the old, old angry guy, old grump. He came over and was like, hey, can you turn off the lights? 8 p.m., please turn them off. No one needs to be.
Starting point is 00:44:26 Kids don't need to be out right now. No one needs to be seeing these lights at 8 p.m. And so she was like, yeah, I'll think about it. Didn't happen. She just told him that to pass it by him. He comes back. What a hate her neighbor. That seems to be a game member.
Starting point is 00:44:38 He's like, hey, you better turn off these lights or we're going to cut the wires. That's crazy. We're going to cut the inflatables so that they're just down, right? So then she's like, she's going back to her family. And her family seems to be like, all right, let's just do it. She's like, I don't know something I don't want to give in. Yeah. Because 8 o'clock is so early.
Starting point is 00:44:53 Like, why are we doing this? Yeah. So she needs her help. That's way too early. It is 8 p.m. Maybe 11. 11 is like a cool time. Actually, yeah, that's the time that we normally turn off our life.
Starting point is 00:45:05 It makes sense. You know. But he? Yeah. It would be like some blaring lights. That's what I'm saying. Like, what are they fog lights or the spotlights? Yeah, the really weird lights.
Starting point is 00:45:15 Like when someone goes into your property. Oh my gosh. All right. Let's talk to the people though. Irene, who's on the line? We have Anthony from Rosemead on line to. Anthony. What up, brown bag?
Starting point is 00:45:26 What's up, Anthony? How are you? I'm doing great this morning. How are you guys doing? Amazing. Talk to us. What would you tell Lucy whose neighbors are upset at the Christmas slice that she has up.
Starting point is 00:45:37 They're saying that it's keeping them from going to sleep and they want her to turn it off at 8 o'clock, 8 p.m. Well, to me, I would think that they probably got some like Park Wizwall type, you know, how it's going on over there if it's that, you know, complaining to, you know, to the neighbor there. But in my opinion, I'd be like, hey, look, you want to come, you want to come at me like that? I'll give you some money. I'll buy you some dark out shades.
Starting point is 00:46:00 Black out your windows. Oh, all right. That's all you got to do. Blackout lines. Yeah. Once it is, then you ain't going to see none of my lives, Ben. We're both happy. You can go to sleep and I can play my life.
Starting point is 00:46:12 You know, I can shine bright. What kind of sleep? Because they're old. You want them to go sleep forever? Wow. Wow. That's crazy. That's how they do it in Rose Mead, wow.
Starting point is 00:46:20 That's crazy. It's the holiday. I get you out earlier than 8 p.m. You can get those eye covers too that they use for airplanes. I feel like they don't want to do anything for it. Like, they want you to do it because you're the problem. Yeah. If you tell me like, hey, letty, stop, stop doing it.
Starting point is 00:46:36 something and I'm like here I bought you this remember when we did that yeah at the old office at the old office we used to record our podcast had an old office and loki it's probably our felt because it was the office for like jewelers yeah yeah like it wasn't it wasn't it wasn't content creator office at all right it's in downtown l.a it was a bunch of jewelers and we we would record our podcast and we're loud we're laughing we're being us and then the neighbor is so upset and he comes and he's I talked to clients and you guys are loud. And then, like, he was just so mad. And then Maximo, he's like, all right, you all right, you all right?
Starting point is 00:47:12 You all about some AirPods? Remember? Right, I did. Do you think that would help? No, he hates us. Yeah. He complained. It didn't work.
Starting point is 00:47:20 Yeah. And Maximo never got him his AirPods, right? No, because you kept banging on the wall. Yeah. No way. He would. Yeah. He's like, take that.
Starting point is 00:47:26 Yeah. He told us. We were the nuisance. Wow. That was crazy. Wow. That was crazy. A good time.
Starting point is 00:47:32 Crazy clients walking in and out. But it's just, it's not the solution to tell them to do something about it. Yeah. It's just going to get them more mad. Yeah, they're going to be mad no matter what you do. Yeah. Unless you turn off the lights at 8 o'clock. I feel like they're still going to do that.
Starting point is 00:47:45 Irene, who has it on the line? We have Jessica from Lawndale on line three. Jessica. Longdale. It's me. Hi, Jessica. Hi, Jessica. Hi, Jessica.
Starting point is 00:47:56 So Anthony beat me to it. My answer was the same. You get blackout shades. For the mad neighbors? All right. Would you get blackout blinds for someone that literally just said, hey, turn this off from cutting the wires? Right. That's crazy, Jess.
Starting point is 00:48:11 So I want to add to that, though. So that's a you problem. So you pay for it. But also, it wouldn't be a bad idea to invest in, like, a home camera system just because you never know. You know, they cut the wires and now you got evidence. Look, you're on my property. Dang. Not sending the old dude to jail.
Starting point is 00:48:29 That's so crazy. That is crazy. That's so mean. We're just sending it to the jail? Yeah. What if the old man bends down to cut the wires and get stuck? He's a help me. That's messed up.
Starting point is 00:48:41 That's so mean. Don't all people come with that lifeline, life alert? Oh yeah. Help me. I've fallen. I can't get up. We're going to be old one day. We need to stop.
Starting point is 00:48:52 You're acting old already. I have a cancress on here. Mario. All right, check this out, homie. If you need a homie or need some help. We need your head. We need a line. I mean phone line.
Starting point is 00:49:03 We got you for the homie help line. Okay, shout out to Lucy. Lucy. Lucy. She and her family put up Christmas lights. It's so nice. The kids love it. Most of the black loves it except for some two haters,
Starting point is 00:49:19 and they're all both old and angry. El Viehito Enojohn, as her mom calls one of them, came over and asked nicely, hey, turn off the lights. No one should be awake past 8 p.m. am anyway. That's so nice. Turn him off at 8 o'clock. She said, and I say, you know what we'll think about it.
Starting point is 00:49:37 They didn't turn it off. So he brought another neighbor. And then another neighbor was like, hey, turn off the lights or we're going to cut your inflatables wires. Oh, my God. You know what sad is that inflatables are definitely not the ones giving the crazy light. No, right? They're just very nice and cute, right?
Starting point is 00:49:52 But they're like the collateral damage. They're the hostage. Turn off the lights or they get it. I hate the lights, but their inflatibles are getting them. Yeah. Or Santa Snoopy. Just gets it. So she wants to know because her parents are kind of trying to give in.
Starting point is 00:50:07 My dad is now saying we should turn off our lights earlier, but I feel we shouldn't give in. What should we do? We already got like get these tools blackout blinds. I think that our guy from Roseby said to like just black him out for. Yeah. Blackline hand. That's crazy.
Starting point is 00:50:22 That's crazy. That's crazy. Let's just be his last winter. Yeah, he's already old. He said him into hibernation. He said. That was crazy. That was wild.
Starting point is 00:50:31 And then there's also like call the cops on him and make him go to jail. Catch him. Catch him cutting the wires and then just. He'll never get sleep because he's in jail. Yeah. Yeah. He's going to go to the extreme. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:50:41 He's probably going to get like two months in jail and then those two months, yeah. Yeah. It'd be life because yes, boy. Oh. Who else is on the line I mean? Who else got some advice? We have Jeney from Montclair on line four. Jeney, I love your music.
Starting point is 00:50:56 Big fan over here. Big fan. Jeney? Hello. Did they say Denise or Janay? We said Janay. I heard Janay. It's Denise.
Starting point is 00:51:06 Oh. Can it please be Janay so that we can pretend that we're talking to Janais? Okay, I'll be Janay. Okay, I'll be Jan. I love your music. And your baby is so cute. I hope you and Big Sean are good. I love your voice.
Starting point is 00:51:18 I like her. She's like, please. All right, no, talk to us, Denise. What would you tell Lucy in this situation? I think compromise, maybe speak to them, maybe 930. First of all, it's ridiculous. Yeah. but yeah i believe like compromise maybe 9 930 but yeah i think it's ridiculous for so it is for sure
Starting point is 00:51:35 it's ridiculous to be like hey i can't sleep because you have your christmas lights on but unless that is important to you and you have to get older different things are important to you like sleep yeah compromising makes me feel like failure yeah stop compromise is what you should do in every every relationship that you have partnership businesship everything i don't know about that one grumpy neighbor yeah you can't win them all you guys you guys you guys You got to compromise. He got to just turn around and face the other way. I would get him like a streaming service subscription so that he's binge watching TV so that he's up.
Starting point is 00:52:09 Because what he's saying, usually he goes to sleep at 8. Oh. He doesn't know the good stuff that's out there. He hasn't seen Squid Games Challenge. So that's going to keep him up past 8? Yeah, because he's going to be binge watching the TV. So he's not even going to notice that the. And then when it's over?
Starting point is 00:52:24 Wait a second. There's lights up there on that. No, then it's 10 p.m. Hey, neighbor and make you some brownies. You don't understand. I don't know what you... Yeah, some brownies. We're like, hey, neighbor, I'll make you some special brownies.
Starting point is 00:52:37 Oh, we have Erica from Tarzana on line one. Erica. Hey, hi, Erica. Buenos diaz, Dias, Dica. Talk to us. How is everybody? How are you having a Merry Christmas? Oh, Erica.
Starting point is 00:52:52 You have Christmas spirit. You have Christmas lights at your house. You guys don't even know. I start back. last month. I have Lasluces. I have everything. I don't have the grumpy behito.
Starting point is 00:53:02 But because I'm really petty for Christmas because it's my favorite, like, forget Christmas. I mean, forget birthdays, forget all of that. Like, my lights are on and it's morning. Wow. That is wasting electricity. She's rich. Yep. I don't pay.
Starting point is 00:53:18 Oh, that's why I got a husband. Who pays it? My boyfriend. Oh. Wow. You're a key friend. Leave on. Yeah, that's wise.
Starting point is 00:53:27 Keep you happy. That makes you happy? Exactly. And I just got a new car. Oh, my God. You're the best time ever. I'm really, really giving myself gifts this moment. I love it.
Starting point is 00:53:41 Yeah. You know, it's me. I'm going to do it. I don't care. But, you know, I know you guys have more people on the life. Yeah, we have people we need to help. It seems like you had you are having the best day ever, the best month ever. You know, we're so petty in my family.
Starting point is 00:53:56 If this bigito and so friend would have come. come by to cut the wires, I would have been like, hey, man, let's pass the wires down through our fence and let's light up his house at night. Oh, my. You know? Oh. Pass the wires. I love you. They would make his house light a.
Starting point is 00:54:12 That's a good one. Or you could put, oh, the plug for his house. So he's going to get the bill. Wow. Then go to his house and then go to his house and say, hey, turn off your life. Oh, my God. She's good. I love it.
Starting point is 00:54:27 That would be funny. That's an expensive prank, but it'd be a good one. Yeah, that's good. Wait until he leaves his house and put lights at his house. Yeah, and then she said pull the plug on him. That was crazy. That's so crazy. Erica is wild.
Starting point is 00:54:39 He wants to take them out. I know. Sure, light him up. Well, hey, I think that's, all of these ideas, Lucy, feel free. They all feel like a great time for you. Not so much for your neighbor. Right. You know what?
Starting point is 00:54:51 Hey, how much time he's got a lot. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. He's like a couple years. Are you joining them and pulling his love? Sambra Sala with Angie Okay, I know I'm supposed to get Tyrese like a break Because we talk about him often Like he was...
Starting point is 00:55:10 Yeah, that's the homie. A STEM nominee earlier. But dude, he just keeps doing things That it's just viral. Not viral, but cheese me. Because now he's saying that he was about to put the paws On his homie after seeing his girlfriend's picture on his phone. Wow.
Starting point is 00:55:26 Wait, wait. So Tyrese posted a picture and it's a picture of his girlfriend, Zelly. Right? And the caption read, Fellas, just a heads up. One of the homies almost caught a five piece with a biscuit. I didn't answer.
Starting point is 00:55:40 Sir Zelle, my girl, called one of the two homies phones looking for me. She called his phone and her image popped up. I looked straight at him and I was like, what the fuck is my girl image doing on your phone? He looked shook and I said, I don't know. Then I answered and asked her, Did you know this fool got a photo of you on his phone?
Starting point is 00:56:02 And she's like, babe, are you serious? She paused and she replied, it's the new software update. Oh, okay, the new iPhone update. What's annoying. You know what? That actually just happened to me because the homie Chris called me. And I was like, I don't have this image in my life. You're like, I don't have this in my gallery at all.
Starting point is 00:56:24 Yeah, at all. Like, what? So the new iPhone update is that you put a. a picture to your account. And when your account, when you call somebody... Wait, wait, wait, what account? Your Apple account.
Starting point is 00:56:34 Yeah, your ICloud account. And then when you call somebody, that picture will pop up automatically. So it makes sense that her picture would pop up on his phone because that's her picture on her account. Yeah, but see, it's like, why is she calling the homie?
Starting point is 00:56:46 Like, why does she even have the homie's phone number? To look for her, man. Yeah. Do you guys do that? I don't have any of Marcus's friends. Well, Marcus are out here acting like a... It's not like he's sealed. So maybe Tyreseills.
Starting point is 00:56:58 Like if I were to call Irene, she would probably see my picture because my picture is on my profile. It's not because Irene has the photo. Yeah, no. I'm going to make sure. I'm just wondering. No, it's the update. It's the update. So we should really tell you.
Starting point is 00:57:14 Yeah, yeah. Because the update is like really annoying because like Maximo said earlier, like a homie will call. And then the picture will pop up and I'm just like, dude, what the hell? Or, and then it's really weird because the update, before it used to just be whatever contact photo or initial you have. on there. Now you could select a poster and a photo icon. So like you could select a different photo for when
Starting point is 00:57:36 they call that takes up the whole screen and for the little circle like on the profile photo, on the contact. I don't think that works on the iPhone 8. On mine, I don't have that update. I'm on the iPhone 8 and I don't get this update. It's because you still have the button. If you still have the button then... Does your messages send? Do your messages send? Actually
Starting point is 00:57:54 you know what? It's been acting up because sometimes you guys be texting on the group chat. Yeah, you don't get it. It'll be like Like, oh, I see it. Unless it's like a personal picture that she saw that was the contact ID, then that's when she should have. Yeah, that's when it should be like, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:58:09 I would have been, I would have tripped out like, why is your phone, your picture on his phone? That'd be a problem. So if a friend of Marcus, a girl calls and her picture pops up, you're going to have a problem with it? I would question him, yeah. You would question it. And he says it's the Apple ID. I would be like, let me see.
Starting point is 00:58:24 I don't know because I haven't seen it on my phone. Oh, yeah. So it's hard for me to believe. that like yeah it's a trip and then even like the picture that um Tyrese was showing of Zelly it's nothing like provocative or anything like explicit it's literally her face and she's just posing yeah that has to be the photo that's on her like contact ID like on mine it used to be like my logo but I I changed it to like a regular like headshot of me so that when I send my contact to people and when it updates it's like an actual photo not the logo that nobody knows yeah one day I mean
Starting point is 00:58:54 All right, that's it for Sondrasala brought to you by your local Southern California Toyota dealers. I'm Angie from Brownback Morning's on Power 106. Let's get into so boxy. There's some trouble in the golden boy parts of town. This fight is going to be crazy
Starting point is 00:59:11 this weekend. It's actually going down on Saturday tomorrow in Texas. Ryan Garcia taking on Oscar Duarte. And now the novella lies in the fact that if this was a family, they're both a part of the same family. They're both a part of Golden Boy. They are both Golden Boy fighters.
Starting point is 00:59:26 Usually, for example, Ryan Garcia would fight a Tank Davis, different families, right? Different labels, different crews. But now you're fighting within the same crew. And it's become apparent, at least to Ryan, that it's seeming like Golden Boy, which he's kind of had like a very outspoken and just like intense. And we're going to get into later about what he calls his relationship with Golden Boy. It's been very verbal. It's been very public.
Starting point is 00:59:54 I know a lot of people felt away when they didn't see Oscar Deloia himself or Bernard Hobson in the post fight after Ryan Garcia lost against Durante Tank Davis, right? There were reasons for that and there were also people from Golden Boy from that. So I don't want to say that the company as a whole was not there. I know people that were there. Eric, who's the president of the company, was there. Jane, who's an incredible part of a Golden Boy was also there. But people, the optics are that Oscar de Lauea wasn't there.
Starting point is 01:00:21 Therefore, Ryan, that's not your friend. that's not anything. And after Ryan came out of a loss, Ryan, this superstar boxer, man, superstar, social media star. When he sees that, everything's going to get to him. So these are two people that a lot of people are in their ears,
Starting point is 01:00:38 and it's coming out in the public during these press conferences leading up to the fight. This press conference was supposed to be about Ryan Garcia and Oscar Larte. I feel like Oscar Larte was just there like, all right, so just tell me you, take pictures. I'm here to get it. Like the real fight is,
Starting point is 01:00:53 between what it seems like, Osce dello, oh yeah, and Bernard Hopkins and Ryan Garcia. Now, first, before Ryan even got to the podium, I have to let you guys know what Bernard Hopkins, what he told Ryan, it's crazy because he's up there and he's talking and they do this thing where everyone kind of goes up and says, like the promoters say, thank you for coming. There's going to be a great fight. Bernard Hopkins, as he is stepping down from the podium, he's like looking at Ryan and he's throwing shots at him, and this is what he said. And I put 28 years in this business of boxing in the ring.
Starting point is 01:01:26 But one thing about boxing, and I close with this, it will call you a bluff. He's looking straight at Ryan while he's saying it's like, it will call your bluff. And earlier that day, Oscar de la Oya tweeted, talking to Ryan. Ryan, keep focused on your craft instead of listening to some of your quote-unquote teams, interpretations of comments taken out of context. Bernard and I will remain committed to taking your career to the top. Now, since Ryan Garcia is signed to Golden Boy, they have a relationship. It seems like it's strained.
Starting point is 01:01:56 Ryan is seeing how much love they're putting into Oscar Duarte, who is a beast. He's a beast. He's knocked out king. He's knocked out 11 of the last people he's fought. Knocked out. He's from Guerrero Mexico, okay? Hold on. I talk to you guys.
Starting point is 01:02:10 Muscles on top of muscle. He comes in. They're low-key saying like this is going to be like a little canelo. Like you look at him and you just know he's going to be it. Ryan's seeing this too. And so to him, it's like, why are you guys bigging up someone that's going to fight me? But I'm there and it's like, why wouldn't we? He's also part of a golden boy.
Starting point is 01:02:27 They have a point. Yeah. However, it's Ryan's turn during the press conference yesterday, which got superheated. He went scorched earth on them. And first, he was his eyes set on Bernard Hopkins. And he said this. Check this out. You know, one thing that's been on my heart is the statements that Bernard made where he'll decide if I should continue boxing after this fight.
Starting point is 01:02:46 He don't decide that my coach does, my team does. everybody that, you know, grinds with me day in and day out. That's who decides. And ultimately, God decides, not him. You know, he also said that calls out on the blind. Man, last time I checked, he said he never lose to a white boy. And then Joe Smith Jr. knocked him out of the ring. That's how much I checked.
Starting point is 01:03:03 Joe Smith Jr. was white. So, you know, they belong. See, he said that to Hopkins. Yeah. In front of Hopkins. And Oscar was standing right behind him. But what tricks me out about Ryan is like, like, because it's a, it's ceremonial low key of doing this. Like people know this is a protocol.
Starting point is 01:03:20 We're going to have the press conference. Today is going to be the way in. Tomorrow's going to be the fight. And so fighters look he expected tough it up. Say what it's going to be a great fight. Maybe talk ish about your opponent. Promote it. But he's taking the moment to talk ish about his own promoters.
Starting point is 01:03:34 Like he's like, hey, you said this. And I've heard we had Bernard Hopkins in. And he has said, look, Ryan has to win. And he can't just win just to win. Like he has to make it undeniable that he wins or else people are going to come at him. So he's made comments like that. And Ryan is just not. having it anymore.
Starting point is 01:03:50 Okay. He's not wrong. What part? Hop, B, hop. He's not wrong that Ryan needs to prove himself. Yep. Because the last fight he had with Tank, he came in there and they were high expectations for him.
Starting point is 01:04:04 Of course. And he did not fight well. So, Tang dominated that fight. So for him to come in, and Oscar Darth is a beast, but he has, he, he's being promoted now at that high level, but he hasn't had those type of fights. Right. And now, fight with Ryan, it's going to be like, all right, bro, you got really a good competitor. And if you got to dominate.
Starting point is 01:04:25 I agree. It is going to be also Oscar's law. There's proving grounds. However, Ryan is just like, if you're supposed to be my promoter, you should be bigging me up, bigging me up, not saying, hey, I need to do this. How about say, I believe he will or I have faith in him or something like that? At least that's what I'm assuming he wants to hear. And then he took his sights on Oscar, who during the press conference, Oscar de la Oyas, Right behind him.
Starting point is 01:04:50 Like Oscar is not saying. Right behind him. And Ryan says this. Oscar is saying that, you know, we misinterpret, you know, what they say. It's plain English. I didn't hear anybody speaking in any language I don't know. So, you know, it's very clear to me that, you know, they're backing this guy to beat me. They're saying he's the next Mexican star.
Starting point is 01:05:08 At the end of the day, you know, I'll come to show what I bring and I'm laser-focused. And that's where this confident comes from. Thank God for everything. And all praise to the most high Jesus Christ. Thank Christ. Dang, he turned up. Yeah, he turned up. And a lot of this isn't, but I watched the press conference before he stepped up.
Starting point is 01:05:25 He stepped up and he's like, first of all, I want to thank the Lord of Pye. And I asked that the Holy Spirit come into this room. And then that's when he started going in. And he's back. Yes. And he said, love you. And you. He was going to me, Oscar.
Starting point is 01:05:38 Yeah. He was the Holy Spirit. He speaks through me. And Oscar the whole time, he's like, like, like he's like in the back, like, rolling his eyes. Yeah. He was like blinking a lot. You can see like he was just like,
Starting point is 01:05:50 I got to allow him to talk, but he's like, oh my God. At that point, they don't know. Do we keep it together? Do we keep professional or do we start going in? Because the mic's open there. Yeah. And I've been a part of these press conferences.
Starting point is 01:06:03 Usually after the fighters talk, you open it up for questions right after it went to like, okay, and that concludes this press conference. Yeah, let's go ahead. And we got a meeting in the back. Apparently, Oscar has not. been talking like after that i guess oscar tried to get a hold of ryan and ryan hasn't been responding to him so then oscar went on to say this and it is very i'm very sensitive with this
Starting point is 01:06:29 type of stuff and what he is insinuating so i i just would like to preface this was saying this doesn't mean this is what's happening this is just what's oscar is saying he says i have to say that i'm really concerned about ryan garcia's state of mind considering his history of mental instability, which he's documented himself. His current erratic behavior shows he's clearly not focused on Saturday's fight. You won't take my calls. Ryan, I hope you're okay. It's great.
Starting point is 01:06:58 Now it's going like, hey, you won't talk to me? I'm going to take it to Twitter. Yeah. And things like this, I don't think should be on Twitter. Because again, they still have to go to the way in today. And there's still a fight tomorrow. Right. Yeah, they still have to do all that stuff.
Starting point is 01:07:10 Yeah. Yeah, it's not like, hey, let's go home. Yeah. And someone else who's chimed in is Gervante Tank Davis, who like we just mentioned, beat Ryan. And when he was fighting Ryan, we saw everybody, all Golden Boy was backing Ryan. I remember Bernard Hopkins even got kicked out of the fight because he was too close to Jervante at the way in. So they didn't let him go into the ring. He actually got kicked out of the arena.
Starting point is 01:07:36 So Tank Davis says, that's crazy. That's crazy. Behop almost got wood for Ryan. and boy don't even F with him, old goofy. Wow. God, like, we almost got you, bro, because of this kid, and now this kid don't even mess with you. Like, everyone is chiming in on this situation,
Starting point is 01:07:57 and it's just going to be crazy to see what's going down with this fight. Again, I feel like Ryan's opponent's like, all right, so we're going to do this? Ryan's opponent probably didn't understand 90% of what was going on. He was just like, how is the translator going to translate that? Translator is like, no, no, no, no, no. They'd be like, hey, yo, yeah, yeah, just don't. Something's going down and just stay away from me. You could talk from the energy, though.
Starting point is 01:08:19 It was tense. It was super tense. And the whole time of the press conference, if you have a chance to go peep it, go peep it. It's wild. You just see Ryan Stoic, just staring straight ahead. They're complimenting him, like, Golden Boy was like, oh, he's a great fire. And he's just like, I can't wait to say something. Afterwards, the reporters for DeZone interviewed Ryan.
Starting point is 01:08:39 And they asked him, look, if Golden Boy, why wouldn't they want you to win? Like you're there, like, it seems weird for you to go up there and say they don't want you to win. You're their fighter. And this is how Ryan explained his relationship with Golden Boy. It's like a toxic relationship. What I just want to keep you there? Because I'm that hot.
Starting point is 01:08:58 I don't want to let her go. You know, it's not good for you? I just want her. That's how it is. So he feels like it's not even like they care about him. They just want him there. That's what Ryan is saying. That's how it's really.
Starting point is 01:09:11 I mean, it makes, it makes. sense it doesn't doesn't because this is not a this is not a relationship with like a partner that's hot like it's kind of like if i can't have you right that's what he's saying like if i can't have you if you're not going to be like no one's going to have so we're going to keep you it's like bro you lost it you got wood by tank yeah like if i can't have you like bro what i think there's both there's animosity there might be feelings of your own personal like and projecting it on somebody else but on both sides like even understanding like you got see that the fighter's watching you, you're promoting a fight with him as a headliner.
Starting point is 01:09:46 Yeah. But all you're doing is backing up the other guy. Yeah, because he's already sounds. Yeah. Like it's your quince, but all I'm talking about is your little sister's dress. And he's like, bro, this is my quince. Like, you're my family. Like, what are you doing?
Starting point is 01:09:59 Ah. So he's like, you just want the next. Like, you just want me to set up this other guy to be your star because this other guy is assigned to you. Right. And that's what he's saying. Like, I see through it. I already, and apparent, like, that's just kind of what they're going back and
Starting point is 01:10:12 So it is definitely a novella. Look, if you're having holiday problems at home, you're saying, you're not alone. Ryan, you're not alone. Ryan, we got a homie hop line. Faddle. And what tripping me out is there is a way in schedule for today. That's exciting.
Starting point is 01:10:26 We're all going to see each other like so... It's at 12 noon. It should be 12 noon, our time. But I don't know about Houston. And in the way and similar, they bring him out, they talk for a little bit. Like I remember Canelo when his versus Charlie, like he gets on the mic, I don't know what's going to be said.
Starting point is 01:10:41 be sick. So are you mad at me? Yeah. Are we good? Are we good? Before you get on the scale, what's going down? Vasquez Dvarte is like, what,
Starting point is 01:10:51 he did he? You're saying? Oh, okay, okay. In that's crazy. All right, it's a little bit toxic. Keeping here is Parenthood O six. LA's number one for hip-hop. That's good.
Starting point is 01:11:04 Wow. I love this noise. Santa gave us some sleigh bells. Yeah, I don't know if you knew this, but we are Santa. His favorite stations. All the other stations, they're trying to win his love. They've been naughty all year.
Starting point is 01:11:18 They're trying to be nice right now. No, but us, we bet his favorite. Okay? So much so that Santa, look, he just sent me a parchment paper over here. Let me unroll it. Oh, fancy. To my favorite elf. Why can you call me elf?
Starting point is 01:11:32 Wow, Santa. I'm not going to be it anymore, Santa. That's not nice. He gave us the power, by the power invested us by Santa Claus. He said that we can forgive one kid every Friday leading up to Santa Claus Day to Christmas. If you've done something naughty, if you know like, hey, I remember that time I did this. I might not be getting presents because I did this. My mom keeps saying that she's going to tell Santa about this.
Starting point is 01:11:58 All of that, we can forgive you, okay? But you have to call us up and you have to admit what you did wrong and that you're sorry that you did it, okay? That is the naughtyless forgiveness that Santa gave us the power to do. And that's a lot of power. A lot of power. It's a lot of power. And I had to thank you, Greg, because the reason why Santa gave this to us is because of your niece, Melody. Yes.
Starting point is 01:12:18 Last year, and Melody and their family has Elf on a shelf, right? What would they name their elf? Sparkles? Sparkles? Sparkles? Snowflake. Snowflake. Snowflake.
Starting point is 01:12:27 Snowflake. Snowflake. Snowflake. Oh, Melody. Yeah. And Snowflake saw something, and Snowflake reported back. See? Because these elves on the shelves, that's what they're there for.
Starting point is 01:12:38 I know. They're part of my family. And with our ears. We hear everything. And so they saw that she had broken her grandpa's finger. Yes. Yeah. Your dad.
Starting point is 01:12:48 Your dad. She broke my dad's pinky. How? Yeah. She was, we were at a party and she was throwing a fit. And my dad was trying to calm her down. And when he tried to calm her down, she grabbed his hand. It just broke her pinky.
Starting point is 01:13:00 Wait, what? Right then and there. Yep. You can't judge her because we accident, we accident forgiveness. We noddyless forgiveness to her. Sure is that. Yeah. Can be.
Starting point is 01:13:12 I don't think his pinkies for giving him. And he also has another pinky. Yeah. That's too. Yeah. That's why God gave us too, okay? Exactly. But because she called in, and she promised to be good, and she promised not to break any more of her grandpa's pinkies, she was able to have a good Christmas.
Starting point is 01:13:28 Yep. And I hear, what's the update on our little Miss Melody? She's been doing way better since then. Yeah? Really? She's really nice. She's really calm. Doesn't throw fits.
Starting point is 01:13:37 It's been very good in school, actually, too, and everything. Like, wow. This is a different melody. Yeah. This is the melody we like to see that can enjoy the holiday. My Christmas Lines. Your Christmas Lites are happy for her. That's the noise Santa makes when he's happy.
Starting point is 01:13:55 He's the Fancy right now. All right. Shout out to our baby girl who is now. She's a reformed Nottie Lister. Yeah, reformed Nottie Lister. Can we talk to her? Do you think we get her on the line? 100% we could talk to her.
Starting point is 01:14:06 Really? To get an update straight from her because last time I talked to her was last year and she cried because she was bad. Yeah. She was bad at the time. She cried about the finger that she broke of her grandpa and that we knew and like the whole world is going to know. But look, that's embarrassment. Then you turned nice.
Starting point is 01:14:22 This is like scared straight. Yeah. So last year she didn't get any cold for Christmas. No, because she was forgiven. I love it. Santa Claus. He gave us this. Power and our favorite friendship.
Starting point is 01:14:36 Santa Luza! We got the power. Okay. So we're going to talk to Melody, the reformed Nottie Lister. Yes. And if you have a Nottie Lister currently, you know that kid is not going to get the toy stee one because they did that one thing. Oh, no.
Starting point is 01:14:51 Let us know that one thing because we can forgive a Nottie Lister one every Friday, okay? So if you guys got a vibe for the love, if there's three Nottie Lister, sorry, two, stay on it. One, one doesn't, okay? Hit us up if you have a kid or eight, even if you want to tell on your parents for that one thing that they did that they think you didn't see, but you saw. Tell us. Tell us. We're going to put them up to whether they get forgiven or not.
Starting point is 01:15:14 Tarwood up this is the place number one for hip-hop. We're getting jolly here. Hey. Drop. Hey. Greg. Let it. Let it.
Starting point is 01:15:29 Okay. Shout out to Christmas. Shout to Santa. We are his favorite station. And I hear that I'm his favorite naughty lister. What are he saying? Nottie Lister. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:15:39 He said that. This is Santa Claus. Letty is my favorite in the naughty list. Ooh, you naughty. Always number one for hip-hop. Well, he keeps talking. See, kids? All the other things don't have,
Starting point is 01:15:57 Santa say drops for them. Santa has given us an incredible, an incredible power. That's how he laid it on me. Yeah, here's your power. Yeah, that's what you do with the sleigh. Sleigh bells. Oh, the sleigh bells. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:16:12 Oh, okay, okay. What are you guys talking? He hit you with the chestnuts. I thought you had like a wanding band or something. I was like, oh, slave. Oh, okay. So he was like, hey, you can forgive one naughty lister. You can forgive one naughty lister every Friday until Christmas, right?
Starting point is 01:16:29 Wow. This is good. This is a good power. Yeah, it's a cool power. Am I elf? Yeah. Wow. It's a big responsibility to have right there.
Starting point is 01:16:36 So we did this last year, Greg, when no one listened to us. Nope. Nobody listened to us. Right. But you know who did listen to us? Who? Who? Your niece.
Starting point is 01:16:43 She did listen to us. Listen to us. On the line, who do we have? My niece on the line. Melody. Melody's on the line? Yes, with her mom, Alexis. Good morning, Melody.
Starting point is 01:16:50 Good morning, Alexis. Good morning. Oh, Melody, I haven't talked to you for a whole year. How have you been? Good. Are you sure? Good as a good or good as and good? What?
Starting point is 01:17:04 It's okay. I don't get myself either. All right, Melody, last year we talked to you because remember when you broke your grandpa's finger? Yeah. Yeah. Okay. But that was a long time ago.
Starting point is 01:17:14 Remember you cried a little bit? What happened? What happened to Grandpa? I'm not going to tell you guys. Aw. Yeah, she's a year older. She's a year older. Okay.
Starting point is 01:17:23 Melody, but stuff was happening, right? And then you were like, dude, I know Lettia, I've kind of been doing some bad stuff. Like, I broke his finger. But you stopped doing that, right? Uh-huh. How do you feel like your year has gone since then? Good.
Starting point is 01:17:41 Good? You're not like that anymore, huh? No. Yeah, but hey, if they ask for it, just know that it's always in the tug. You always got that in you, okay? Can I talk to mom? Is Alexis there? Yes, I'm here.
Starting point is 01:17:53 What's up, Alexis? Hey, Melody is growing up, girl. She's tell me about it. I cannot get over it. I cry, like, every other week about it. Yeah, that's crazy. Like, now she sounds like, oh, like, she sounds like, yeah. Okay, but talk to me, because I remember talking to her last year,
Starting point is 01:18:11 and you guys were going through a lot, and she kind of has a little bit. She kind of has a little bit. Hey, Greg has a little temper. He probably passed it to his knee. She had a little bit of a temper. But how is she now? The temper runs in the family, but she, it's literally from night to day with her. She's a completely different little girl now.
Starting point is 01:18:29 Alexis, that's so awesome. Alexis, you're so welcome. You're so welcome. Yes, thank you guys. You're so welcome. Wow, look at this gift that I have. Look at that. It's good.
Starting point is 01:18:42 That's a good gift. Wow, that's an amazing gift. Yes. Alexis, hey, Alexis, I'm going to send you my sizes, my shoe size, my shirt size, all that. Oh, I owe you my life. Oh, my life. I'm going to end up giving you more presents like a delet. Oh, please come visit us anytime.
Starting point is 01:18:59 All righty knows Bible verses now and stuff like that. No way. Alexis, she can recite the Bible? She can. She started private school and that really helped her a lot. Amazing. She's reformed. Can she give us little?
Starting point is 01:19:12 Can she give us a little sum sum? Can she go off the top of the dog? She's shining. Oh, Melody. It's okay, Melody. We don't deserve it yet. We don't deserve it yet. But wow, look, see, I turn your kids to Christ.
Starting point is 01:19:24 Look at that. Wow, I forgive them for their naughty list sins. Let us know. Do you want this happiness? Do you want this type of happiness? Do you want your kid to go from day to night? Day in night. What?
Starting point is 01:19:36 All right. Let us know. But in order to get this forgiveness, this nautiless forgiveness, you have to tell us the bad thing, that one bad thing that you know your kid did or you did or however it goes, okay? We can't forgive you unless you tell us what it is. You can't heal what you don't reveal.
Starting point is 01:19:53 Boom. How about that? Preach. We call that wisdom, all right? Firewood O six. LA's number one for hit up. Hit him up. Oh.
Starting point is 01:20:03 Almost let my secret out. Hey, you little super gremlin's, your time is up, okay? We only like nicer's over here. We don't like Nisters over here. At all. We are giving Nottie list forgiveness, okay? Every Friday at 8.20am right here on Power 106, we are forgiving one Nottie Lister so they could be on the nice list.
Starting point is 01:20:23 It's very nice of us. Yeah, that's very nice of us. It's a very nice of us. It's a lot of power, too. It's not a lot of power. Exactly. And he only did that because what? Because of Malady.
Starting point is 01:20:31 No, we're a favorite station. Oh, yeah. Hey, you suck at Pop Quiz. You know what? Yeah, I failed. Okay. Because why, Maximo? Because we're his favorite station.
Starting point is 01:20:39 Not the other stations, they have to be like, Hey, Saddam, look, we know your songs. And then that's why they please love us. And he's like, no. Nope. I love power. Yeah. So I'm going to give them some power.
Starting point is 01:20:49 Irene, we have someone on the line that wants to nominate a naughty lister. Who do we have on the line, baby girl? We have a Roman from Baldwin Park on line two. Roman, good morning, Roman. Good morning, Brownback. How are you? Good. Roman, you want to nominate a naughty lister.
Starting point is 01:21:07 Who are you nominating? Actually, I wanted to change it. Like, and I did something in the naughty. Oh, okay. You're the naughty lister. Okay. So who did you originally want to, want to nominate? Like, I did something bad.
Starting point is 01:21:20 Yeah, yeah, yeah. But you said you wanted to change it. But what was the first one you were going to do? Oh, my dad, my dad. So you want to nominate your, how about we do this? We're going to nominate you and your dad. Why is your dad on the naughty list? Because when he was drunk, he acted out of him.
Starting point is 01:21:38 He pooped himself. Oh. He went number two on himself. When I went to phone springs into the mountains with my mom. And then, oh, my God. And then I stole something from the gift shop. Hold on. Oh, no.
Starting point is 01:21:59 Oh, wow. Hold on. First, let's talk about your dad. And I bet you your mom's driving. Is your mom driving right now? Yeah. Shout up. Hey, mom.
Starting point is 01:22:08 I see what you did over here. I like it. I like it. I'm not mad at all. Okay, what did dad do first? And then we'll talk about what you. did Roman let's take it easy on us please all right so what did dad do so he went to the bar and then he went to go drink some beers and then when he got home he was just chilling in bed and then as soon he just felt
Starting point is 01:22:30 like he had to the boot and then he ran to the back of him but he did not make him oh my gosh you know what he number twoed himself and yeah that's definitely not his activity okay now roman what did you do So I went to the Palm Springs I went to the Palm Springs Mountain And then I stole something from the gift shop You know the gift shop over there in the The tram? Starting point is 01:23:10 A squishy. He's sorry. He was probably like, this is a squishy. I want it. And my dad is a... I know. Oh, he... How old are you, Roman?
Starting point is 01:23:21 11. You're 11 years old. Okay, let me just tally up. Because, Loki, we got to talk right now. The elf committee over here, me and my crew. Okay, are we going to forgive his dad? Or are we going to forgive him for the night of his forgiveness? He has a dad pooping himself and a son that steals.
Starting point is 01:23:34 Yeah. And just one thing I know about your bowels, I can... I can forgive dad, but the bowels is going to... Like, he's going to get worse over time. Yeah. Dude, he's a stealer. He stole. But he said squishy.
Starting point is 01:23:45 Yeah, he did say squishy. I hope that the Palm Springs police don't listen. I think the mom is plotting on this for some reason. Definitely the mom is plotting. The mom has something to do with this. Hold on. She knew he was stealing. She covered for him.
Starting point is 01:23:56 She let him steal? And then the poop is a distraction. The dad poop? Okay. Should we forgive Roman? But we have to tell him he can't steal anymore. Yeah, we do. Okay.
Starting point is 01:24:06 All right, Roman. Yes. All right, we just did a huddle, an elf huddle. I hope you didn't hear that. But we have decided. Roman to forgive your naughty list. You forgive you. You are now on the nice list.
Starting point is 01:24:20 But Roman, you have to promise not to steal squishies anymore. Notice I'm saying not to steal squishies anymore. I won't. I believe them. I believe him. I believe you and you know what?
Starting point is 01:24:34 You are now making Santa very happy. Shout to you. Yeah, Roman. Congratulations. You're going to get three squishies for Christmas. Who's going to give them to you? I don't know. Your mom.
Starting point is 01:24:44 Your mom. And his dad's still going to poop himself. Yeah, that's crazy. Look, we do this every day, or not every day, every Friday. Okay, if you want to nominate a naughty listener, we got you. You just got to tell your poop to the world. He's a snitch yourself.
