Starting point is 00:00:00 Where are you from, Mesa? Don't you know I'm local? All right, pop quiz. So all my sports fans that know everything. Oh, sports? Ah, pizza cake. I'm out. I'm out.
Starting point is 00:00:13 It's like Shark Tank. How many professional teams does L.A. have? Six. Come on, you want to guess? Clipper Van. He's only right because he's on the docksheet that I press. Oh, sure. There are 12 professional teams in L.A.
Starting point is 00:00:31 Let's name them. Come on. More pop quiz. You guys help the class. You in the car too. Help the class. I'm only going to name the ones that I acknowledge and matter. No, no, no, no, no.
Starting point is 00:00:40 There's 12 teams. Let's see. Let's see. I got it. Okay, go. Lakers. Okay. Clippers.
Starting point is 00:00:46 Sparks. Kings. Rams. That's five. Damn. Are we coming college? You missed a big one. No.
Starting point is 00:00:57 Chargers. Dodgers. Angels. Hold on. Hold on. Dodgers. Chargers, angels. Okay.
Starting point is 00:01:04 The Ducks. If you do this, Ohio pizza. UCLA? No, we're not coming. That's nine. Three more to go. Help him with three more. Help him with three more.
Starting point is 00:01:16 You got it. There's an XFL team? No. No? Wait. You said 49ers, Stephen? LA, professional L.A. Professional L.A.
Starting point is 00:01:25 Teams. You're just saying team names. Okay. Okay. Okay, what other sports? Galaxy? Oh, Galaxy, L-A-F-C. One more.
Starting point is 00:01:40 It's right there. It's right there. The Kings. I said the Kings. I said it already. Said the Ducks. What did you say? Angels?
Starting point is 00:01:50 Angels. I said Angels. I said Angels. No, no, no. Finish what you said. FC? Boom. Angel FC?
Starting point is 00:01:58 Yes. It's the girl team. Angel City FC. Angel City FC. Those are all the 12 teams. Together, we're one brain. There we go. Yay.
Starting point is 00:02:07 Why did I test you just to see your LA knowledge? No, not just that. All of these 12 professional teams have come together. They've joined forces to donate to the American rare cross-relief efforts over in Maui. That's affected the wildfire. Awesome. That's amazing.
Starting point is 00:02:24 About half a million dollars have been sent over to help the relief efforts over there. And I thought that was really awesome. And I do see a lot of it, like I heard about the dogs that I believe they are the the firefighter dogs are being, from over here are being sent over there. Our firefighters are help, like our servicemen are being sent over there to help with the relief efforts because it is such a big thing that happened in the house. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:48 Yeah. And it's crazy. We are like their sister state even though we are like pretty far. Yeah. We're really far, but we're the closest. Exactly. Yeah. And of course we're talking about the fire that a family.
Starting point is 00:02:58 that affected the Lahania wildfire. You know what's crazy? It's like you see it. We see fires all the time. Yeah. That island is not supposed to be see the type of fire that we see all the time because we can evacuate. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:10 We can move. They can't. They're like left to swim or try to get into the water. And there's just been so many people that have unfortunately passed away. And to see our teams. And they said that a lot of our teams have Hawaiian players on them. And that was a driving force into why they grew together. and donated like they did.
Starting point is 00:03:29 So shout out to our professional L.A. teams. All 12 of them. You guys want to try again? United. Did you guys mention the Sparks? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:39 He's mentioned the Sparks. Come on, man. Because it's like, it's like Lakers, Sparks, Clippers. Duh. Yes. Is they different? That's sexist. Oh, it's sparks, Clippers, Lakers.
Starting point is 00:03:52 Yeah. The first team you said was the Lakers. We haven't always first, okay? Yeah. He did say the Lakers first? Yes, he did. Yeah. Top of mind.
Starting point is 00:04:02 Top of mind. That's right. Respect. I have respect. Oh my gosh. All right. We got to talk about this. Because low key, GZ's being a homewicker.
Starting point is 00:04:19 And I'm not... GZ? GZ, the rapper. But I'm not saying it's... I'm not saying it because he was having an affair or anything. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But it's because he was the reason that his sister got a divorce. So let me explain it.
Starting point is 00:04:30 He homewrecked his sister? That sounds wild. Let's see her. I know you guys. I never heard of this. He's a home wreck. Whatever you want to call it. So he has a sister, right?
Starting point is 00:04:40 Her name is Katrina. And he was sharing that like before rapping, he was out making money in the streets, right? And he had nowhere. And he had nowhere to hide it. So there came a point where he was like hiding that money and stashing a money and his sister's attic. And then come to find out that one day he goes up to the attic
Starting point is 00:04:58 and finds out that it's not there. Listen to this. Oh, my. So husband at the time figured out the way to get in the safe. So when I go up there, you know, a couple years later to go get the bread, it's not there. And I know my sister would never. So therefore, I knew it had to be him. And I called.
Starting point is 00:05:12 And I said, what are we going to do? And the realest she ever said is, I'll call you back. When she called me back, she's like, hey, I'm getting a divorce. Dude. That's right. The husband stole from GZ. And then the sister was like, you know what? And no questions asked.
Starting point is 00:05:26 I'm just going to divorce him. And this is crazy because she had two kids with him. So it's not like she's just divorcing him. It's like, well, she's married. Yeah, she's married. She has two kids, and she's just like, okay. And then it probably made sense to her in a way of, like, maybe he had like some extra bread. And she was like, oh, where did this come from?
Starting point is 00:05:42 And then at that point, she put it all together and was like, dude, I can't trust this guy. Yeah, where is he using the money in general? Like, what is he spending it on? If her not knowing where that money is going and knowing it's gone, I'm sure it was a lot of money. Yeah. Yeah. Because he was keeping it up in the attic for like three years. So it had to be a lot of money up there.
Starting point is 00:06:01 Wow. Man, that's so crazy. I just think of the whole situation with Gizi, like him hitting his, what are we going to do? Won't kill him? Yeah. Pretty much. Like, no, no, no, let's not kill him.
Starting point is 00:06:10 I'll just divorce him. How about that? Cool. Because that's where I'm thinking is like, I don't know if you know Gen Z or the track record or what has been going on in Atlanta. But like, it's, it's for real out there. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:20 So many for me? Oh, yeah, yeah. I don't want his pork chop. I want his life. Well, this just also, like, there's a lines that Gizi has, like, in the beginning of his career where he's like hide the rest of the yams. my auntie house. So I'm just like he had like stash spots at all of his family's houses.
Starting point is 00:06:36 It was like a whole thing. It's like the yams are over here. The money's over here. Yeah. It's a good test. Yeah. No, I was just going to say that they let them be the sole survivor. Oh, God. Here we go with the jeezer for kids. Does anybody have any more? I was thinking of some. No, but props to Katrina, the sister, because I don't think a lot of people would ever do that. She's a real one for that. Having two kids and then divorcing your husband just because homeboy stole, I mean, your husband's still for your brother? That's a big, like,
Starting point is 00:07:05 change. No, but that's a big thing to do. Yeah. You're stealing, that should be like your brother. Yeah, they're like family. Where family, if you have these kids, that should be like your brother and you sit. Like, if anything, join in on the operation. Supposedly, theoretically, I don't know. Whatever do not.
Starting point is 00:07:18 Become a mule or something. Yeah, they do so. Put in that work for it. Don't like take it. All of that. All of that. Yeah. It's crazy that she did choose her brother. I mean, choose, yeah, choose her brother. over her man because loki you put something like that in the middle of certain families they're gonna never talk to their family again yeah they're gonna run away with their husband or they're gonna like
Starting point is 00:07:40 because that's your love like that's your dad the dad of your kids that's who you married all of that yeah because that that becomes like your new family yeah and that's what you call like your new angie angie what your sister steals from Marcus who are you my sister stills from your family oh no brainer what I'm gonna go with my sister. Yeah? Yeah. Real one.
Starting point is 00:08:03 To me, to me. But I've seen it. He stole $20 from me, Angie. Let these down. No way. I hear it. I don't know. Break up with him right now.
Starting point is 00:08:12 I can do it right now. I don't know. Let the. That's $30. It's nice to say. It's nice to say until it happens, Angie. That's $20, though. But I get, I'll pay you the $20.
Starting point is 00:08:23 That's how it starts. It starts with $20. Oh. Starts with $20. It goes a 40. And then what? You're paying his debts? he's still like 500 from me
Starting point is 00:08:32 he said hey max send this over from the he had max play with the phone and send him over some 500 dollars yeah no wonder my cash shop was acting up you're so dumb he's just around you to scam us wow and you still stay with him
Starting point is 00:08:50 no I don't know it's actually a real thing it's very easy to be like yeah I would choose with him yeah it would not be okay then you're like hey what's what's 10 wrecks. Come on. What's 10 rugs? Well, I'll be pissed. Maybe that's the way the brother-in-law saw it. It's like, well, what does
Starting point is 00:09:06 he need another like, you know, 200,000? Oh, like to him, it's nothing. To him, you know, maybe how he was thinking. I don't know, you guys, but I've seen it with my own family. It hasn't, it's not because of money, but it's like for my sister, it was like her man, her baby daddy, he was really disrespectful towards
Starting point is 00:09:22 my parents. He got physical with one of my cousins, things like that. Offender my dad, things like that. And my sister still stayed with him. And we had to put up with it. It was just like, huh. That's who she's with. That's who she's with.
Starting point is 00:09:34 I guess. That's what I'm saying. Like, I've seen it happen in real life with us. Getting chosen over and stuff like that. Yeah. So it happened. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:09:41 I don't know what I would do. But that's what I'm saying. Props to Katrina because I don't think a lot of people would actually choose the brother over her husband. Oh yeah. No, those situations happen every day. Yeah. It's a lot of drama. The spouse.
Starting point is 00:09:51 Uh, you know what? Brother, it was a fun time, man, being your sibling. But like, you know, I'm sure that happened.
Starting point is 00:09:57 What did Gizi sister say, hold on, and then called him back? Yeah. She's like, oh, okay. You want to tell me hold on and then let me come back? No. All right, that's it for Sobra Sanaf, brought to you by your local Southern California and Toyota dealers. I'm Angie from Brownback Mornings.
Starting point is 00:10:11 I'm Power 106. Let's talk about it. Have you been put in that situation where you had to choose between who you're with and who your family is? Power 106, Ellie's number one for hip-hop. Good morning. Happy Friday mornings. Let's enjoy the sunshine before that hurricane comes for real.
Starting point is 00:10:25 I told you about the hurricane yesterday. yesterday. Hurricane. It's coming towards the end of the weekend. You're Hurricane Hillary. Hurricane Hillary. It's a nasty woman I heard. Kiddy, kidding, kidding.
Starting point is 00:10:36 What? That was good. Lock her up. Lock her up. Check her emails. Stop it! Check her hurricanes emails is hilarious. All right.
Starting point is 00:10:44 It's supposed to, like, we're supposed to see like a bunch of flooding on Sunday Monday stuff. Yeah, like those cool plans. I'm taking back. I love how we're just joking about this so casually. Like, it's because we've never, I mean, personally. Right. Never been in a hurricane.
Starting point is 00:10:56 It's all a figment of my. imagination until it happens and like oh my god on Monday we're gonna come in in canoes I can't wait where does one get a canoe I know yeah now I'm thinking about it we're gonna be so unprepared the most prepared that I am is that the boys have what where's water boots rain boots from all the rain that we had yeah why does it sound fun though like in a canoe down it's not fun you guys it's like a natural disaster we're so whack we suck as Californians And Angelina knows. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:11:28 We needed water, right? Now I got it. I don't know. It's just going to be weird. It's going to be a very weird time. But hey, we're here together. Yeah. Yes.
Starting point is 00:11:35 And on Monday, hopefully we will be here. Hopefully. That's not even what we're talking about, though. We are talking about Gizi, okay? The snowman himself. He talks about his sister, who was definitely a ride or die for the family because she left her husband after she found out that he had stolen money from Gizi, her brother, okay?
Starting point is 00:11:54 Gizi had money in the attic, in a safe he comes like he drops it off there comes back three years later and sees that oh my god all the money's gone hits up his sister like hey what we're going to do what we're going to do should we kill him i'm kidding he didn't say that he didn't say no but she's like i'll call you back and then and then he and then she called them back and said they're divorced okay so we're asking about those situations that either turn you against your family or turn you against your partner what was that rift that came between them and who did you choose okay irene who we got in line my mom Mama Sita Linda.
Starting point is 00:12:27 Nobody? Okay, I thought you were talking on the phone. So you just call people on the phone during the phone? She just flirts with the callers. That's not true. No, she was asking me, people were asking about how to pick up their tickets and stuff. Oh. Sorry, Irene.
Starting point is 00:12:41 Irene. You do everything. I remember. I know. Well, I have a story. Yeah, go ahead. I remember my ex's mom does not find Santa. This is the very scary one.
Starting point is 00:12:55 Mm-hmm. So I guess one time they had lost money in the house, right? They had lost money in the house and they were like looking for it. And then someone tried to accuse me of taking it. What? Yeah. And then she was like, no, leti didn't take it. I tested her already.
Starting point is 00:13:09 And I was like, hold on, you've tested me already. She didn't have money. She's like, yeah, I've left money out to see if you'll steal it. And you never did. So I know you didn't do it. And I was like, why are their tests going on? Yeah. That's wild.
Starting point is 00:13:23 17, 18 years old. Like, I'm just like, I'm pregnant. I'm just trying to like survive. Yeah. You're out here thinking I'm going to steal money, but I don't know. That's lucky how she looked at. Dude, she was like on her ish about me. She's like, I'm going to catch her one day or another.
Starting point is 00:13:38 She's the bad person. She's about to take it. Yeah. So thankfully that never happened. But I don't know. That's what it reminded me of. Like, what if Gizi put, because that's a lot of money to put in a safe in a house. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:50 Like, what if he's just testing them and the dude failed the test? Oh, absolutely. Because imagine if you knew you're down on your luck, maybe you can't pay bills, and you knew that there's a safe upstairs with hell of money in it. I don't know. He was listening to the music and he's like, trap or die. Take those chances. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:14:11 Maybe he just got it. Right now I'm thinking about it. And maybe he got the money. He's like, oh, I just put it back later. Yeah. But in that case, hit your brother-in-law. True. Yeah, ask him for a loan, you know.
Starting point is 00:14:21 I'm sure like he'll make you work it off. out on the godfather like asking for yeah yeah he can put on have you ever yeah uh i mean not with like money or anything like that but more so like um there was a moment in time where i was with my son's mom and i kind of got isolated like she was like oh your family doesn't like me your family like we're going through a bunch of stuff and i woke up one day and realized like dude i don't talk to my grandma i don't talk to my mom i don't talk to my dad that's so i don't talk to my favorite cousins like my boys my best friend like i had no no relationship with anybody.
Starting point is 00:14:55 And I was like, yo, what is going on? Like, why? And it kind of happens subconsciously, or you just, like, you figured it out afterwards. It was one by one. It was like, oh, this person doesn't like me. This person doesn't, this person's meaning to me. So me being like, all right, well, then we don't need them. I don't need to talk to none of them.
Starting point is 00:15:09 And then waking up when they're like, I don't have a family. Like, you know? That's so sad. Just you? I'm just dependent on this other person. Yeah. And, you know, and it was worth it because it was her and my son and, you know, we were building our life together.
Starting point is 00:15:21 But then it's also like, it doesn't have. have to be either or necessarily, right? Like, you can have both, but you just have to, like, be mature and be able to handle the situations. Yeah. And it's like, we could get along. Yeah, we can get past these roadblocks. You know, I don't have to, like, excommunicate my family completely.
Starting point is 00:15:38 You know what I'm saying? And now you have all your family. Yes, exactly. You know what I was? Yeah, what? You were simping, bro. I was. I was not to be on his side, but then it's baby mama and I love her.
Starting point is 00:15:50 No, it was a tough time. She's right. Yeah, I'm not like mad at her about that. It was just, it was a hard time for her. She had just lost her mom too, you know what I'm saying? So it was like, it was just a lot of things going on. I don't blame her for that time, you know? That's awesome.
Starting point is 00:16:02 Yeah. Well, it's not awesome that. No, no, I guess it's awesome. Yeah. Because I like her a lot. Yeah, no, she's cool. Sorry for making it so serious. I know.
Starting point is 00:16:11 Well. Back to Jeezzy. Trepper dies. Soul Survivor. Woo! And then what? Last time I was a man to these streets. Good morning.
Starting point is 00:16:19 Good morning. Okay. It's Friday. It's Friday. the sun's out, enjoy this, because next week we're going to be flooded. Supposedly, according to, like, the news that's making everything, like, super catastrophic
Starting point is 00:16:29 feeling. Yeah. It's like, we're the end of time. You have all weekend learned how to swim if you don't know how. Angie, talk about it. Me and Angie, you're screwed, guys. So we're not here on Monday. You know why.
Starting point is 00:16:39 Angie, you don't have the flotation devices. You do, baby girl. Let's get to that. And you can hold out to me. I'm going to send out a bunch of, like, text like, oh, this hurricane just made me think about how me and you used to, you know, it's gonna be one of those. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:16:55 I got to work on it. Yeah. He's getting there. He's getting there. He's getting there. He's getting there. I told Sunday. Isn't it bad poetry day?
Starting point is 00:17:00 Yeah. There you go. I'll think of something. Don't worry about it. What would the rest of your little poem me? I don't know. This hurricane got me thinking about. You know, when you made my eyes flooded, you know, when you broke my heart.
Starting point is 00:17:11 Oh, wow. Wow. Yeah. I just, it reminds me of when we went to the windy city. Because you would take them to Chicago. To Chicago. To Chicago, yeah. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:20 Multiple. I'm all for three. All right. Well, we have shout out to my phone. Yes, shout out Janaya from Carson starting seventh grade. Hey. Nate, actually we have Nate from Houston, Texas. What?
Starting point is 00:17:34 How old are you checking in. Howdy, brother. Nestor from Compton. Nestor from the CPC. Yeah. Sal from Utah. Let's go, Utah. What are they do over there?
Starting point is 00:17:46 Nothing. Listen to us. And then shout out, Jack. husband from Highland Park. She wanted to shout out her dad, Chewy from the STF Fires, and her husband, Big Chief. Let's go Chewy and Big Chief.
Starting point is 00:17:58 All Friday. They just gang banged on the radio. What that was? But I don't know. No fire station. Yeah, I hope that's like a men's soccer league or something. I hope so. It would sound good, but I don't know.
Starting point is 00:18:10 I am not affiliated. We don't know what we just said. Big up to them. And then also coming up at 7.30 for all our kids going back to school, we have a back. courtesy of our friends at WSS. It's a Jordan backpack that's full of a $100 gift card and some gear from our homies over at Pro Club. Okay, that's coming up at 7.30.
Starting point is 00:18:30 All right. Let's get into Word on Rosecrans. Word on Rosecrans. What's the word? Imagine you idolize someone. You meet them. Then they clown you. All right?
Starting point is 00:18:40 So look, Common said Michael Jordan once clowned his basketball skills in an interview with men's health for their 50th anniversary of hip hop. So look, Common said his hometown here. The Chicago Bull's very own Michael Jordan, the goat, once saw him play basketball at the 2010 NBA All-Star game and said, stick to rapping. Oh. How embarrassing is that? How embarrassing is that?
Starting point is 00:19:08 Right. It's also funny because, like Angie said earlier, off mic, that Common always plays basketball roles in movies, right? Yeah. And so it's like for him to just go like... All right, hold on. Let's, can we punch, um, Big real quick? My Reagan's building.
Starting point is 00:19:23 Maximo said that. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. One of y'all. Wow. One of y'all.
Starting point is 00:19:30 Wow. I said he always wanted to be a basketball player. Oh. Yeah. He always gets the roles. Yeah. All y'all look like, I don't know. Get it.
Starting point is 00:19:38 Hey, yay. Now I look like the man. I'm not. I'm just kidding. Oh my God. Please get your information accurate, Vig, because you're turning very uncredible to me, okay? All right. Okay.
Starting point is 00:19:48 All right. Okay. But, okay. So I just thought it was hilarious that, like, Michael Jordan would tell, like, imagine. You're just like, dude, MJ, what's up, bro? Everybody needs a Michael Jordan. Thanks. Because you always see yes men around people, but all the stories I've heard of people that have met Jordan.
Starting point is 00:20:03 Yeah. He's very, like, up front, like, bro, I don't want to take photos with you. I want to take photos to girls. Commillionaire said that, like, he wanted to take a photo. He's like, bro, I don't take photos with dudes. Like, get out of here. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:14 And it's like, but he's going to be straightforward. Everybody needs that. Like, hey, you're little acting? Come on. Stick to wrap him. Come on. One of the funniest things about this, though, is that Comyn scored the last free throws to win the celebrity game. Oh, the celebrity game.
Starting point is 00:20:27 So it wasn't like he, like, sucked the whole time. Like, he actually won his team the game, and Michael Jordan still said this. Because he was playing against? Other celebrities. Yes. Yeah. Exactly. But he got no credit.
Starting point is 00:20:40 I just, I imagine, like, he probably sucked. I'm like, oh, he probably sucked on the court. He's like, no, he still did good. He's like, just still stick to rap. Celebrities. Okay. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:49 Who's the fool that played Spider-Bed? Toby McGuire? Why am I thinking like he dunked over Tommy McGuire? That does not mean. Imagine. But it's also pretty ironic because common used to be a ballboy for the bulls back in the day, right? Chicago, I know you love that. It's like meeting like your favorite leg and we're like, don't even try it, brother.
Starting point is 00:21:08 So he's technically known MJ since he was a kid, like since Carmen was a kid and still gets no respect. No respect. That's like, damn. That's tight. Poor little comment. He meant it. Yeah. He really meant it.
Starting point is 00:21:19 How is Jordan would disd me? Yeah. It's not too late. Because we have regular like Jose dissing us on Instagram. Yeah, right? Dizzy. Wouldn't it be cooler if Jordan did it? Right.
Starting point is 00:21:31 Yeah, but he could like crush my soul if he said something. Yeah, but then you'll be like, yeah, and then you'll be like, oh my God, he acknowledged me. He knows who I am. True. Yeah. So that's a cool part. That was, that was a story. That would be a horrible thing.
Starting point is 00:21:45 Well, I wouldn't expect him to know who I am, but yeah, that would probably hear worse. I feel like you would expect him to know who he would. I'm like, Max Jordan, look over here. Rosecrans' bake. Brought back mornings, every morning 6'10. Oh, my God. And then he'll be like, who? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:57 Go get my car. Ballet, right? All right, all right, guys. Have you ever been bored on a plane ride? I know I have. But these lucky passengers were not. Thanks to Beanie Man. Beanie Man.
Starting point is 00:22:09 All right? So if you don't remember who Beanie Man is, let me refresh your memory. What? It's not here. We don't. Oh, my God. Why would they have it?
Starting point is 00:22:19 If you didn't send it. I did send it. When did you send it? Yesterday. Yesterday for yesterday's news? No. Sorry, guys. See, this is this thing that Vic does.
Starting point is 00:22:27 He doesn't prep his stories and then he's like, oh, I'll just use one that I didn't use a week ago. That's not true. And then he expects it to still be available. Now I'm going to have to sing Bini Man. Yeah, go ahead. Now I'm going to sing Bini Man. Who got the keys to my Bima? Okay, please don't do that.
Starting point is 00:22:42 No, no, yeah. Okay. Simmer The guys Them need this Simmer When me love them She a punch
Starting point is 00:22:54 To go And he was a Man named Mad Mad Mara All right So he's a Jamaican artist We guys don't know
Starting point is 00:23:00 Who he is King of Dance Hall Hits on Hits On Hits Worked with Farrell Maya Tia Tia
Starting point is 00:23:04 Janet Jackson The list goes on A couple of days ago He was on a flight And there was a bunch of board passengers And he almost
Starting point is 00:23:12 turned it into Soulplane too All right So look Listen to this Oh Na
Starting point is 00:23:16 Na na na na Na na na Na Oh, my na, da-na-da-da-law. Big my sister-night. The lady's like, go back to the Nana part. Sim-Sema. Oh, my.
Starting point is 00:23:37 Those schools need to learn how to clap, dog. Maybe is giving me anxiety. I wish I was on that plane so bad. They weren't board passengers. They were boring passengers. That was crazy. That reminded me when I used to go to church. I don't know why I would always hear the person that was off B.
Starting point is 00:23:54 And I would just be looking over like, whoa, getting together. Who has no rhythm over there. Yeah, messing the vibe. So when I'm bored on a plane, I knock out. I don't know if anybody else does the same. Right? So imagine like you're hearing it in your sleep. Because you know, sometimes like you hear the stuff in your sleep and you're like, wait,
Starting point is 00:24:09 am I dreaming about Beanie Man? And then you wake up and he's there? Beanie Man? Yeah, that's Covience. That would be cool. Yeah, I just thought about that. Like, imagine like, what? other celebrities are on planes and like are actually willing to entertain for free right like just to be
Starting point is 00:24:23 funny like it's like oh beanie man is just like a man of the people by you from grubo frontera yeah yeah he he started singing the i think it was no seva like they're hit no way yeah there's video of that too wow i don't want people to mess up that song too yeah i thought i just thought that was fire i'm like dude that's so cool and i now i wish there was other uh artists that would do playing concerts. That could be a thing. Happy fire. Wouldn't it?
Starting point is 00:24:50 Yeah, as long as I'm on the plane. Right? No, because then I'm going to hear those annoying little baby screaming. No, thank you. I'm annoying the song. Damn, you really hate kids. I don't.
Starting point is 00:25:00 It was just like, I heard it and it was like, whoop right there. All right, guys, that was your word on Rosecans brought to you by local Southern California Toyota dealers. Signos of the plane.
Starting point is 00:25:08 No, no, signal the plane. Please, hurry out. I'm Rosecrans vik for Brownback Mornings. Yes, and let's get into it. You know, local. Cypress Hill. Where are you from, Mese? Don't you know I'm local?
Starting point is 00:25:21 Shout out to these little leaguers from El Segundo, man. I wish I was this good. They have made it all the way to the Little League World Series. I have never heard of that because I never got that far. But they definitely rallied to win Thursday night last night to beat Ohio four to three in the first round of the Little League. So shout out El Segundo, their Little League team. I just think that's so awesome. Yeah, that's amazing.
Starting point is 00:25:46 If they were to win that. Amazing. The furthest I got in Little League was I got hit by a ball while I was playing, I was playing pitcher. I never had a pitch because it was T-ball. Playing pitcher? Yeah, I was playing pitcher. I never had a pitch because it was T-ball. So they're there and the ball is there already for them.
Starting point is 00:26:03 But I do end the play. Yeah. So they have to throw it to me to end the play, right? But it was my first time being pitcher, so I'm like, hey, this mound looks a little bit dirty. Let me clean it. So all I hear is pitcher, pitcher, well, I'm like cleaning the mound with my feet. I'm not paying attention. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:26:15 Pitcher, pitcher! And I look up and boom, the ball hits me in the face. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And then I start bleeding and then my dad takes me out of sports. Takes me out of sports forever. I think it was like five. That was like, that was my t-ball experience. So boom, shout out to these kids from Los Lagundo that may depress that.
Starting point is 00:26:32 Because I'm sure you get injuries. You've been in Little League. I'm sure that happens. I think when it happens to a little girl, at least with my dad, he's like, no, no, no, no, no. Oh, yeah. It happens. You get hit with the ball, all types of stuff. But what's the furthest you went as a little leager?
Starting point is 00:26:44 When I was in Little League, I think the furthest I went was second base. Oh, my goodness. Oh, like playing like in the, like baseball-wise. Okay, keep going. Keep going. What is your story, Dad? What? No, that's what I was, I mean, like to the playoffs.
Starting point is 00:27:05 That's it. All right. What was the furthest of the playoffs? He didn't play. I did play. I did play. I did play. I totally played.
Starting point is 00:27:12 That sounds like he didn't play. Yeah. I played until I was 14 years old, that's why. And now he has to decide if he's a pitcher or if he's a pitcher or catcher. Is that how it goes? Oh, I don't know. He looks like a catcher to me. I got the jokes, too.
Starting point is 00:27:28 I got the joke. Jose, you played, you actually played a movie. What's the furthest you went? So, I guess the playoffs, whatever Vic would call it, that would be districts. District. Yeah. Once you bring districts, you go to state. once you go to state, then I think it's regional.
Starting point is 00:27:47 I never made it past state. Oh, but I've gone to state. What? Wow. I never made it that far. Why did you continue your, what happened? I don't know. It was, I don't know, weird.
Starting point is 00:27:59 Oh, my God. You didn't like the ton, ton, ton. I don't want to play after a certain age. You didn't like the hear better, better, better, better, better, better, here. Hey, better, better, better. Yeah. What's the one about pitchers? Pitcher got a big butt?
Starting point is 00:28:11 Yeah, pitchers got a big butt. Come on, you guys, this happens. I was there for like two games. We want a pitching out of belly at you? Yeah. We want to catch you not a belly scratcher. Big, stay out of it. What?
Starting point is 00:28:24 You are not a little league game. I went to, I played this until I was 14. That's not even fun. Second base is like awkward. I was only 14. Jesus. At least I didn't steal any bases. I don't get it.
Starting point is 00:28:43 I'm not even going to dig into that. Sometimes they just, well, no, now he can air it on there. What do you mean? No, he can. You don't want to. You don't want to. There's a thing called consent. Oh, gotcha.
Starting point is 00:28:53 All right. All right, check this out, homie. You need a homie or need some help. We need your help. We need a line. I mean, phone line. We got you for the homie help line. The homie Richard needs some help.
Starting point is 00:29:06 All right? So he said, hey, hey, hey, Brownback. I got a real issue on my hands. I just got Drake. tickets for the next week's show. Congratulations. That's right. Shout to him.
Starting point is 00:29:16 And he said, I was going to take my brother, but my girl assumed that I was taking her. I don't know what to do. I know the obvious choice should be my girl, but my brother introduced me to Drake's music. But my girl and I had her first kiss during a Drake song, and now that's our thing. She's expecting me to take her. Who would y'all take? Oh, that's so hard. Why did you tell your girl you got tickets, fool?
Starting point is 00:29:38 Of course. Because then she didn't think you're cheating and you leave. Yeah. Where is it? We got a real problem. If Drake is your first kiss song, if Drake is your song, right? Like, duh, she's going to, if you say, baby, I got Drake tickets. Oh, my God, I can't wait.
Starting point is 00:29:50 What's what am I going to wear? Yeah. She's probably shopping already. And he's like, he feels like Homer going into the bushme. Yeah. And the brother's probably like, yo, bro, we got Drake tickets. Oh, my God. Remember when I showed you this?
Starting point is 00:30:02 Yeah. I know how hype it is when you talk about music. That's hard. I don't know. It's different, too, because it's like your brother. It's not like your boy or your homey. You know, it's like, it's your brother. Dan, what's gonna be more fun?
Starting point is 00:30:15 Your brother. No, I don't know. Yeah, we're probably the brother. Yeah, especially that you're like close to me. Way more fun when I go with Danji. Yeah, yeah, yeah. We're friends, always. Imagine them like running through the six.
Starting point is 00:30:29 Like they're like finishing each other's lyrics. But she should be your woe tune. No, I'll probably take my girl. Yeah. Well, you know what? I make them battle and be like, all right. Make a song battle. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:40 Okay, see, because we're in through my six with my. Wos is amazing, but watch when, like, songs like, like, work, work, work, work, come on. You have no one to grind away. You're still your brothers right there. Yeah, sorry, bro. Like full. And he smells. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:52 Sending some videos. Because what I'm hearing of this tour to is Drake is getting into a singing bag a lot. So he's hitting us with like the song songs. Yeah. Which a bro? Yeah, whatever he goes with. He's going to get someone mad. So he'd be like, hey, bro, remember when you were with Candice and we heard this song?
Starting point is 00:31:09 Oh, yeah. I remember Stephanie? Like, and then it just turned into you. You guys are Marvin's room. Yeah. It could be, but like you could take your, okay, you could take your brother and then send your girl the video. Just hold on, we're going home. She'll be so mad.
Starting point is 00:31:26 You're going to be gone. She's going to be gone. Damn, that is a predicament. Yeah, it's a tricky one. We got to help our guy. What's his name? Richard. We got to help Richard.
Starting point is 00:31:36 Richard, don't be. And the answer is not giving him another ticket. No. That's not what we're going to do. Sold out. Should he take his. How's gonna say sister? Should he take his brother or should he take his girl to the Drake concert?
Starting point is 00:31:46 What would you do? Your girl or your homie, your brother? All right, check this out, my. You need a homie or need some help? We need your help. We need a line. I mean, phone line. We've got you for the homie help line.
Starting point is 00:32:01 Richard needs help. He needs to know whether he wants to take his brother to Drake or his girl. So he definitely wants to take his brother. Like in his head, when he got those tickets, he thought of him and his brother. but his girl assumed that he loves her. Yeah, she was already picking out her fit. She's like, oh, where are we going? What are we going?
Starting point is 00:32:17 Yeah, because he said, like, you know, I got the tickets and my brother showed me, Drake, but my girl is assuming who's phone and who was that? Not mine. Sorry, everybody. Jose. Was it Jose? Kick him out. For the stress you called everybody right now that are checking their phone and they didn't get a text.
Starting point is 00:32:38 They didn't get that good morning text. Wow. Sheesh. Look at him sweet talking during work. Good morning. I'm just thinking about you on this very sunny day. You're the son of my life. All right.
Starting point is 00:32:51 All right. But our guy, Richard, he wanted to know because he really wants to take his brother. His girl found out about the tickets. And she's like, oh, yeah, we're going, babe. Come on. It's Drake, me and you. And he just doesn't know who to pick now. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:33:03 He feels the pressure. He's in a situation. I can't help him because I'm going to be like, yeah, take your girl. Because there's going to be Drake moments where you're going to wish you. you took your girl. There's gonna be moments in that concert and more than like, you guys went. Irene and Vic, you went.
Starting point is 00:33:17 Were there moments where you're like, oh, wow, I wish I had someone here. No. You said it too quickly. There was a lot of guys there, man. Why would I want him out of beach? I was just kidding. Let these like, dear Lord.
Starting point is 00:33:33 Bring your brother, bring your brother. So there, yeah, bring your brothers so I can see them. So dudes are taking other dudes Oh yeah Yeah It's a Drake concert We were like
Starting point is 00:33:43 We were out Like there were more dudes than girls there Wow Yeah Yeah I was like surrounded Guys love Drake I know this Drake Kive is full of dudes
Starting point is 00:33:52 Yeah Yeah And then there was a lot of girl groups It was like you know Four girls going to So it's a good mix You know It's like if four guys went
Starting point is 00:33:59 They could find four girls Did you see some kind of drama At the Drake show? Yeah What's the drama you saw? Okay so There was There was a guy
Starting point is 00:34:06 I was sitting right in front of him and he was with the girl. And I thought there were a couple at first. But because he kept trying to like put his arm around her and stuff during those moments where you're like, it's time for like, you know, to if you have a couple to, you know, get close to them and all this stuff. Yes, there is those moments definitely. And she kept FaceTiming some guy. Like I was trying to read the full name, but I knew it was a guy's name. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:28 Yeah. She kept it on FaceTime just pointing at the concert like at the stage. Oh, like showing them what was going on? And I was like, what is going on? Because she's also like kind of like giving. the dude the cold shoulder a little bit like not leaning into everything that he wants to do you just got me tickets that don't mean nothing that's how i felt like what was going on and he was over here trying to like yeah let's dance girl and then i was like what is going on is this like her dude that she's like
Starting point is 00:34:53 maybe she said that she went with her girls or something and like i was just like what is going on i really wanted to find out more what their little relationship was going on because he i can answer you he took his brother that's a dude that went with another dude and just trying to get with the girl that's there with her own girls or on her own, and she's like, get away from me, fool. That's what happens when you go with your brother. When you go with dudes, you're going to wish you had a girl around you. You're trying to rub up on any girl, and then, boom, it's not going to work out for you.
Starting point is 00:35:18 Richard needs to take his girl. Take your girl. I know I'm alone on this, but we got more people on. No, I'm with you. But that's because you're my best friend. No, because I think, like, do you want to have, like, a happy life? Take your girl. She's going to be so salty.
Starting point is 00:35:33 You know what? I just started thinking she's going to be so salty if she doesn't go. Exactly. She's not going to want to hear about it. Even if you get to a Drake T-shirt. You know, it's funny, she's going to be salty even if she does go. Because a lot of couple fights happen at shows too. Oh, yes.
Starting point is 00:35:45 They're true. What happened? Hey, it's not our fault. You choose us, okay? You choose us. You have choices. All right, Irene. Who else is on the line?
Starting point is 00:35:55 We have Ashley from South Central on line three. Ashley, good morning, Ash. Hi. Hi. Hi. Oh, my gosh. Ashley, you want to chime in on our situation? Yeah
Starting point is 00:36:08 Okay Ashley, what do you say? What do you think? Take his girlfriend. Take his girlfriend. Ashley, how old are you? My name is Haley. Haley? Oh, Haley.
Starting point is 00:36:25 I think it was Ashley. Wait, what's your name? Your mom's Ashley. You're Haley. Haley, how old are you, Haley? Five. See, your mom knew what to do. She knew to put you on the phone
Starting point is 00:36:38 because she knew I like talking to kids, Haley. So you know what? don't hang up. We're going to put you on hold. And I just want you to know, you chose the right answer. You chose the right answer to our question. I like you.
Starting point is 00:36:48 Okay, Haley, why do you think that he should take his girlfriend and not his brother? Because I think his girlfriend and he cheated on him. If he doesn't, if he doesn't take it? Who's going to...
Starting point is 00:37:01 Wow. I like the way you think, Hayley. Your mom is raising a girl real one. I didn't even think about that. I didn't think about that. Because also at the same time, like, if, let's say,
Starting point is 00:37:11 you take your brother. Yeah. And your girl is that upset? She'll find a way in there. That's true. And you don't want to know how she gets in there. Or she goes to the after party? You're going to see her with Drake.
Starting point is 00:37:21 What? I'm like, yeah, you know what? I'll just hit OVO myself. Wow. Let me just hate Aubrey. Take a girl, bro. If she says like, you know what, don't worry. I'm going to see Drake after the show.
Starting point is 00:37:30 Yeah. Oh. We have more people. She's going to be running through the six with his rules. I have Ramsey from South Central on line one. Ramsey. Yo, what up? bro, bro.
Starting point is 00:37:42 What up? Yo, dog, definitely he should take his brother. He should take his brother? Wow. Yeah, definitely, dog. Like, why? Look, at the end of the day,
Starting point is 00:37:53 he has a potential to end up with Shorty for the rest of his life. Yep. How often are you going to see your brother after you live with your girl? But you've seen your brother for the beginning of your life. But he's saying after.
Starting point is 00:38:04 No, no, it's not the same. Like, you could drink together. The beginning of your life, you're drinking, what, a juice? No, not big. Not big, not Maximal. And not you, I could tell. Definitely the brother, 100%.
Starting point is 00:38:20 Take your brother, bro. I mean, you guys all have a good time. Worst comes to worst, you cheat on your shorty, and that's it. Worsts is. Oh, my God. I like how when the little girl says you cheat on, I'm like, yeah. And when the guy says it, oh, whoa, whoa. That's disrespectful.
Starting point is 00:38:36 No, it's just funny because he just said, worst comes to words to cheat on your girl. Yeah. Be on your worst behavior. Yeah, you'll find another one there. You'll find another one there. No, you won't. Yeah, what if he finds his 11?
Starting point is 00:38:50 We saw it happen. You saw it happen in front of you. Someone's trying to find a girl there. And she's like, ill, get away. You're not Drake. You don't even have a beard. Yeah. No, Richard should take the brother.
Starting point is 00:39:01 Right. Do you have a girlfriend? I do not. I have a twin brother, though. He's my twin. Oh, yeah. Of course you have to take a twin. Look, I thought, I thought twins feel.
Starting point is 00:39:11 for each other. You should still go and he'll experience it through you because you have a twin little twin connection. Not a twin connection. Not a twin connection. All right. We want to know what you do if you're in this situation because we have to help out Richard.
Starting point is 00:39:27 Richard got tickets to the Drake show and he only has a pair. Okay. He wants to take his brother who put him up on Drake. Like he's like, hey bro, have you listened to Best Ever Hat? He's like, no, that. There's a guy named Aubrey. He used to be in the grassy, but like, now he makes good music. He like speaks for us.
Starting point is 00:39:41 or his girl that assumed already like once he said he got Drake ticket she's like oh we're going we had our first kiss to Drake oh my God I can't wait let me go get my outfit ready yes who would you choose if you're Richard in this situation because he doesn't know whether to take his brother or his girl all right we're in a predicament
Starting point is 00:40:00 we're in a real big situation with our guy Richard so homely helpline even though Safai didn't play the intro it's fine but it's a big old situation it's a big old situation Richard got tickets to go see Drake, right? Yep. But he doesn't know if he should take his brother who introduced him to Drake or his sister, or his sister, his girlfriend, who is his girlfriend. Okay. There are perks to being a girlfriend, I'm just saying.
Starting point is 00:40:22 If you get a pair of something, I feel like your girl got first dibs, just like your man got first dibs. Yeah. Because let her have gotten the tickets. I don't know if I should take my sister or if I should take my man. How would he look at her? Oh, he would be upset. Let's be real. For Drake?
Starting point is 00:40:37 You'd be like, no. Yeah. Yeah, I know, exactly. What? Bra check. Yeah. And bra check. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:45 Don't let her have big boobs. Do not let her have that. I don't like how everything is. Yeah. You wearing a hoodie. Yeah. You wear seven bras. I don't like how everything is like, oh, like either he's going to cheat or she's going to cheat, like immediately.
Starting point is 00:40:59 Like, why does that automatically like? Because it's the world. I know, right? It's Drake. All right. It's Drake. Irene, we have advisors on the line. We're calling you advisors.
Starting point is 00:41:07 You better be good advice. We have Perry from New Orleans online too Come on, Perry Vanola Yes, Terry Jane to be exact Come on Terry Jay Hey, we know you from Instagram You're fine
Starting point is 00:41:20 Hey Terry Jane's been calling like a thousand times Oh, hey Terry You're calling to win something But you live so far you can't even qualify to win Just so you know What? Man, I mean I live in L.A. Oh, okay, okay, okay
Starting point is 00:41:33 Gotcha, gotcha, gotcha What, I was just telling you Yeah Contest rules Irene Sorry All right, Terry, you talk to this, though. Take me. Terry's been trying to win these tickets.
Starting point is 00:41:46 Just take me. Forget your girl and your brother. Yeah, yeah. Nah, for real, though. He should take his girl. Like, your girl's supposed to be your best friend. You're supposed to be able to have fun with her, do, you know, like, exciting things. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:42:00 I don't know. I feel like going with your bro is, you know, you know. You're just going to miss your girl when you're at the concert. Yeah, for sure. And the thing is, guys think they got game when they don't really have game. They think like, oh, yeah, I just get a girl at the concert. And it's like, bro, you're you. Like, you're you.
Starting point is 00:42:16 You're taking useboxers to the concert. You're you. Terry, talk to me, though. Have you ever gone to a concert with someone and you guys end up fighting like you and your dude go? Because that's also a thing. When you go to a concert with your mate, with your boo, you may end up breaking up. Dang. That sounds toxic.
Starting point is 00:42:35 I don't know. I don't subscribe. to, you know, toxicity. Oh, you're a crayon. You're non-toxic. Cool. All right. Yeah, no.
Starting point is 00:42:43 Well, let me talk about me, Terry, because I definitely, if I'm at a Drake concert, what is, what is Drake's main topic of his songs? Girls. His exes. If I go on with my dude, why are you singing so hard to this song? I didn't even know you in 2012 when this song came on. Who is, you fancy, you're so fancy.
Starting point is 00:43:03 Who are you talking about? Who wears the orgasm blush? Wow. What are you thinking of? Yeah. I know me. I accept me. I am who I am. Kidding, kidding. I speak for us. The voiceless. I get what you're saying, though. It's like, it's going to trigger you. Yeah, for sure. It's going to trigger you. Take your brother.
Starting point is 00:43:20 We have someone else on the line, though, I mean, that wants to give in their advice, right? Yeah, we have Javier from Chino on line through. Javier. Hey, what's going on, y'all? What's going on, Javi? Talk to us. Who should he take? Yeah, what would you tell? Not too much. I would say you got to take your high.
Starting point is 00:43:37 I know, man. You got to take her all the time because you can't leave her at home. Yeah, for sure, because if you win tickets, how much would that cost you? You know, that's like a free date right there. Oh. So, hand it down, you know, like, you don't want her ending up at some bar or something, talking to some stranger, you know what I'm saying? You don't want her to cheat on you pretty much.
Starting point is 00:43:54 Yeah, my man's at the Drake concert. You know. Yeah, yeah, you know, if you got the dad bod going on, you got to just, you know, accept what you got. Just be happy, bro. You made it to a Drake concert with a girl. You know what? That's a very valid point. Success, right?
Starting point is 00:44:10 That's pretty successful, right? You know, a lot of people are going to be like, oh, my God, I wish I was there. Yeah. Yeah. But that's out of the Tower 106, yeah. Appreciate you. Yeah, it is true. That is a free date.
Starting point is 00:44:19 One, and then two, if she's at a bar and she's like, oh, yeah, my man's at the Drake concert without me, there's always that one guy that would be like, I would have taken you. Of course. I would have taken you. I would have taken you. Yeah. Dirty Mac. That's another drink song.
Starting point is 00:44:33 That's a drink song. That's a drink song, you guys. Don't be bad. We're fans of this fool. But what would you tell your brother? If that's you, you get the tickets, you want to take your girl. What do you tell your brother? Who introduced you to Drake?
Starting point is 00:44:44 I would be like, yeah, dude, get ready. I'll be there and just not even go get him. No! Fow! That is not the way. All right, well, we've helped a homie. Richard, take your girl. Your brother's not going to give you none at the end of the night.
Starting point is 00:44:58 Your girl can. If you don't get her mad, if you buy her all the snacks, if she doesn't think of your exes and all of that, get it to the end of the night, boom. Drake will get it. Buy your brother bootleg t-shirt. Oh yeah, get a merge Yeah, right
Starting point is 00:45:09 Yeah, there we go I don't know what you heard about me But I'm a mother fucking SIMP Of the week Okay, before we get into that And he has a shout-up I do, I have to shout out Courtney from Cyprus
Starting point is 00:45:26 It's her birthday you guys Happy birthday, Courtney Courtney, Feliz Cui Happy birthday Is Cyprus O-C? Cyprus, O, C, yeah Okay All right.
Starting point is 00:45:37 Yeah, you guys, chill. It's borderline though, right? Yeah. That's a Cypress Marino. That's only Cypress Marino. And Cyprus. Oh, yeah. Are they O.C?
Starting point is 00:45:48 No, they're not O.C. Oh, my God. They're claiming, though. No, they're not. No, no, no. I love what I'm so bad in the name of hip-hop. You cannot say Cyprus. They wouldn't dare.
Starting point is 00:45:56 They wouldn't dare be for more channels. I don't know. I don't know. All our history just down the train. Yeah. No, we ain't doing. Okay, now we're getting to Simp of the Week. Look, the Sima Week. All right.
Starting point is 00:46:05 So look, we have a couple nominees. We have Rao Alejandro writing Rosalia. Who is that? Spanish Latin trap. Yeah. Rao Alejandro is a big Latin reggaeton star who was dating a big singer, pop star. Rosalia. Rosalia from Spain.
Starting point is 00:46:24 And they recently decided to split after being fiancé. After being fiancée. Yeah. And he wrote her the Simpius. Simpea song of all time? Most beautiful song of all time. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:46:38 Oh my gosh. Start with the piano. Here it goes again. I forgive you. I forgive you. I forgive you. I forgive you. Okay, check this out.
Starting point is 00:46:50 This thing with this whole Raulful, right? Is that they broke up. There was no cheating involved. They had like, like, some would consider like the most like nicest split ever in life. They just said, hey, we're not together anymore. Yep. And he did some beautiful things in this, in this song. Like, what are some of the lyrics for this song?
Starting point is 00:47:04 He said, and my favorite, he said, In case we never talk again, and my favorite eyes don't look at me again. It's so cute. I know. And then he also says, he also says, I'm going to finish building our house in case you decide to come back. Wow. Jesus. The kicker for me is like, I'll stop writing you, but I'll never stop loving you.
Starting point is 00:47:28 Yeah. This is. I know it sounds so snippy, but it's cute like for a girl who do you hear that? He also says, everyone here knows that I'm going to cry. I'm going to miss you. Yes, there is nothing to hide. That can't win. That cannot win simply the week.
Starting point is 00:47:44 That is best man of the week. That's the perfect. That's the most, that's the king of the week. That's so beautiful. You also got to think, like, down the line is going to backfire on him. It is. It's totally going to backfire. On him, on all men in society.
Starting point is 00:48:02 You know what I said of the week. Okay. Yeah. the week. Next week it's going to have him cooked. I'm sorry, guys. He cannot be sent. Well, we have other nominees.
Starting point is 00:48:10 We have other nominees. We have the Stranger Things fan who got catfish by a scammer, left her husband and got finessed for $10,000. Yeah. And then the way the scammer actually approached her and got her to leave her husband and send money and believe. Yep. It was the actor from Stranger Things.
Starting point is 00:48:31 This is what she said. Okay. That's one thing that we actually bonded over. And basically through the relationship, he was venting to me after a few months about his partner saying she's very controlling of him. He doesn't get to do the things he wants to do. You know, she's always there. She's always got to supervise. And I kind of empathize with that because my ex-husband was that way.
Starting point is 00:48:52 So he lied and said. Is the essence in for stupid? It can be. Or send me money? Send me money. So he was posing as a stranger thing star. Billy, right? Got into her DM somehow our message board.
Starting point is 00:49:07 And I was like, wow, I feel like I know you so well. I have to tell you my whole life. And all his life is a disaster. You know, I'm with this girl. She just controls me. Somehow she's not controlling me messaging you. But she controls me. Yeah, but you know what would help?
Starting point is 00:49:20 $10,000. That would really turn my life upside down. Leave your husband. And she did. She sent him money and she left her husband. Yeah. Oh, stupid. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:49:30 And then there's the ex-Rater's player who, um, stole from an adult film star. He took her money, I mean, took her phone, sent a Zelle with all her money, sent it to his account, and then he took her watch as well. So she's the Simp in the situation. Oh, so two Simperls.
Starting point is 00:49:48 We're doing that thing where we allow females into the category. Of course. Why wouldn't we? Inclusion. All inclusive, yeah. So girls can be Sims too. A hundred percent. Ladies and Sims too,
Starting point is 00:49:57 gone brush your shoulders off. Go and brush your tears away. Why that sounds like you had a question mark at the end? Yeah. Okay, so she was the only fans model and what happened to her? So they hung out, her and the ex-Rater player. And when she went to the bathroom, he stole her watch, took her phone, zeld all the money in her account over to his account. That's like seven crimes.
Starting point is 00:50:22 Yeah. It's a lot. But he has a history of doing this. So this isn't the only time that he's done this. Oh, he keeps getting away. Yeah. So there's like, there's a bunch of Simpson, his little past, the girls that fell for it because he played for the Raiders. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:50:34 Girls, that's what it was. Never fought for the Raider. Yeah. Raider fans, I love you. I am you. He's a money raider.
Starting point is 00:50:41 But definitely, he's staying true to, like, the mascot. Exactly. There's a pirate. Why she never even played for the Raiders, but he is raiding her whole thing. Now he's raiding her account.
Starting point is 00:50:52 He's rating all types of things. Okay. So we got two girls this week that both got, like, money took. Yes. Yeah. One got robbed. Was it during the date?
Starting point is 00:51:01 Huh? Was it during the date? Um, it was. I guess you could call it a date. During the raid? Yeah. And then there's this other one that left her whole husband.
Starting point is 00:51:13 Yes. Sent $10,000 willingly. It's almost to me worse that she did it willingly than the one that just got wrong. I think that's worse because she did one of those things of like, she thought the grass was green on the other side. She's a super fan of this show and she was like, oh my God, like this guy picked me. Let me forget this guy who I'm in love with and who, you know, I've shared. vows with.
Starting point is 00:51:35 You know, I just have to support his career this other fool. Like, he's rich. He's on Stranger Things. Right. Yeah. Makes no sense. He probably said, we're on strike. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:51:43 Oh. That's a good one. You're giving people ideas now. Standing Simpation for that one lady. Yeah. Stringer Things fan? Yeah. Stranger Things fan.
Starting point is 00:51:52 Yeah. Sip. Sip. Sip! Sip! Sip! Sip! Sip!
Starting point is 00:51:56 Congratulations! This is Be Real from Cyprus Hill Where are you from, Mese? Don't you know I'm local? Does anybody have the date? Anybody? Does anyone have the date? August.
Starting point is 00:52:10 August 18? August 18? Like in numbers. 818? 818? 818? 818? Oh my God, it's 818.
Starting point is 00:52:20 It's National 818. It's a day. It's that we celebrate the best area code in the universe. That's right. Don't you dare sci-fi. Don't you dare sci-fi. That's right.
Starting point is 00:52:32 Shout to all my 8-18. Or like we like to call it, the Great-1-8. It's just you too. You guys are so amazing. Angie, Angie, where's the A-1-8, Andy? Here in Santa Monica.
Starting point is 00:52:44 No, it's not Zanamonica. Yeah, it's not our date. Our day is July 14 right now because we're in Burbank, Andy. Yeah, so I said Burbank. Yeah, yeah. Why didn't you celebrate? Glendale?
Starting point is 00:52:56 Why didn't you celebrate? A1 8th, July 14th, 714 day. Because I forgot. Hey, we're not talking about that. That time is past. They don't celebrate it. Nothing great over there. I rep.
Starting point is 00:53:04 All the time. I rep, I rep, set, 818, Angie. Do you have a favorite thing about the 818? You? Great answer. You know, that's a good answer. You know, good answer. Good answer.
Starting point is 00:53:14 Good answer. Good answer. Girls in Sun Valley are freaks. Whoa. And you would know, huh? Who from Sun Valley? Oh, shout out. Selina.
Starting point is 00:53:25 Did you tear their life apart? Oh. Oh. Oh my God. Either you got her in trouble. That was my first Valley girl, you know, way back in like, I don't know, 2016, 2017, whatever. Hold on, I'm doing that. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:53:38 Okay, so you dated a girl from Sun Valley and you're from Downey. Yeah, so I never knew what Sun Valley was. She was like, oh, I live in Sun Valley. I'm like, what did it? Yeah. It sounds nicer than it is. Not going to lie. I'm from the Valley.
Starting point is 00:53:48 I can say it. It's very commercial. Well, at least in Sun Valley I know is very like a lot of mechanic shops. That's where my dad has like locksmith and stuff like that. A lot of junkyards. Exactly. But she had a lot of junk in the trunk. Don't even worry about none.
Starting point is 00:54:03 Let's get it. All right. I'll take that. All right. We are two for two. Angie's favorite thing is me and Vig's say your thing is Elena. Maximo, that nice representatives.
Starting point is 00:54:14 All day. What's your favorite thing about the 8-1-8? Everything. Everybody. Oh, okay. Everybody. That was it? My favorite thing, for me, as a kid, I used to love
Starting point is 00:54:25 going through the tunnel of the Van Nuys airport. I don't know why I always loved it. I'm not going to, I don't know where that's at. Yeah, it's where they filmed the hangover scene. And they also filmed, uh, takers. Wow, that's so awesome. That's pretty dope. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:54:41 Jose, Sepulveda is not allowed as an answer, okay? Oh, yeah. Sure. I saw you. Okay, I can't say. You John? Okay. Anyway, Irene, I know you're from all the way in Hemet,
Starting point is 00:54:53 but have you ever been today when a, 8. Yeah. But I can't tell you, like, I don't even know that I was in the 8-Wating. I told you. I don't even know where Hemmits at, okay? Have you ever been to salsa and beer? Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:55:07 That's 8-18 stuff. I'm just like, you know, I just be everywhere. I don't even know where I'm at. I thought you were going to say your favorite studio. You know what? Yeah. Like, like three of my favorite studios are in the 8-1-8. There you go.
Starting point is 00:55:19 Great, see. I just love the A-1-8. I love the 8-1-8. Everything minus a tequila. I love the, And I just want to spend this time to show love to the great one day. I hope one day you will accept me as your own. You're accepted.
Starting point is 00:55:33 I don't know. I'm from Glendale. And this is my thing. The valley doesn't accept. The valley is like Glendell's not the valley. But also, L.A. says Glendell's not L.A. I'm just right in the middle. I'm neither here.
Starting point is 00:55:47 Our area codes A1A. But if you look at up. But you went to high school. Yeah, I went to Silmar. Yeah. No. And if you look at Glendale, it says a city in the San Diego. Fernando Valley.
Starting point is 00:55:56 Ah, okay. It says that. And then there's also Nela. It's also northeast L.A. It's like the tippiest pool. All right. Well, that's, shout out to all my in the middleers. No, we're clearing.
Starting point is 00:56:06 Yeah, I'm here for you. You don't have a choice. Shout out to all the random cities that I discovered over the time, Weneca. Canyon Country. Wait, wait, wait, hold on. Winneca has a great movie theater. Yes. Canyon Country.
Starting point is 00:56:18 Ooh, yeah, that's deep. I've been into, one day. People have great houses over there. I woke up in Canyon Country on a New Year's day. Really? I was like, where. I'm so far from home. I checked the maps.
Starting point is 00:56:27 I'm like, I'm past six flags. I was so scared. Okay, then that's not 818. That's 661. Yeah, no. The Kenyan Country is not the 8-1-8. That's further?
Starting point is 00:56:34 Yeah. Yeah. I knew I was dead. You went last last. Yeah. I think like once you pass Silmar, you're not 8-1-8 anymore. I think like after that.
Starting point is 00:56:42 Oh. Yeah. If you have to like see the cross between the 14 and then like going further towards six flags, you're, that's the first thing. You're far away, this is all like a learning experience to me
Starting point is 00:56:51 from being like from the other side of town. So every time I'm like, I just say shout out to the 8-1-8 on this beautiful sunny day. What? It's just literally you two. It's not just us to Angie. Right here in this room. There's a legion of us that always get counted out because everyone thinks we're only no-ho,
Starting point is 00:57:11 where all the transplants are from, and that we don't count. Okay? We made it too many great-one. Somebody get here some water. Don't let me have the callers call in. Can I make my complaint? Richie Valens came from the A-1-A. George Lopez came from the A-1-A-1-A.
Starting point is 00:57:23 Yes. I need to make my one. complain about the 818 is that everybody from 818 says they're like 20 minutes away from Hollywood at any given time and that's a lie it's further 25 no it's not 25 yes it is there's parts of the valley it's like 50 minutes away from okay down the other side obviously so right now I'm 20 minutes away from Hollywood I'm in the 818 yeah true okay so you put respect where you are but simar is not it's 818 so that's when I said I was going to stop talking about the A1A but I'll never stop reping you last night wait not Los Angeles
Starting point is 00:57:55 Break 1-8. I feel like that Raul song, I'll stop talking about you, but I'll never stop loving you. You know this writer's strike slash like this Hollywood strike, this like after strike. We saw a lot of promo for like movies like Barbie
Starting point is 00:58:07 and then the strike happened, right? Yeah. But there should be way more promo on a movie that drops today with an incredible story called Blue Beetle. Check this out. Did you know what was going to happen
Starting point is 00:58:19 to my brother? When you stuck him with this world-destroying thing? It's called I had no idea it would activate. It has to choose you. So how do we get it until unchoose me? Host acquired. Who said that?
Starting point is 00:58:40 Systems chapter three, two. I'm a turn already. Blue Beetle from D.C. giving us the first Latino DC superhero movie. And from what I've read about the actual storyline, it's a Mexican family. I think it takes place in Texas somewhere. And it is the story of a kid. that kind of gets chosen to be the one. Okay, and he don't want it.
Starting point is 00:59:06 He's like, I don't want to be a superhero. Yeah. He was just trying to eat a pizza. Yeah. Literally a pizza gets delivered and it's like, ah, it's like, scarum, ah! Boom. Scarab is like a beetle.
Starting point is 00:59:16 If you know, like there's these beetles that we tie on like a string and then we fly them like little kites. Oh yeah. Yeah, that was like our first little, like our little ghetto pet. Yeah. Because we couldn't get one so we caught one.
Starting point is 00:59:25 Yeah. So those things are like a part of our culture. I like that they've mixed it in. And I think it's a really important movie to go take your kids. Go watch it yourself. It feels good to see yourself back on screen. But tell me why I was telling my Tio about the movie. I'm like, yeah, it's like the first Latino superhero.
Starting point is 00:59:43 He's like, Miha, I'm the first Latino superhero. That's such a Trio thing to do. That's such a Tio thing to do. He's like, no, remember? Remember I had a motorcycle? I'm like, no, it does not make you. The first Latino superhero. But I see how cool Tios are.
Starting point is 00:59:58 Yes. And it's like there has to be that like legend. Like, who's the first Latino superhero in your life? What Theo was it? Oh, undoubtedly, my Tio Max. All right. My Tio Max from Chicago. No, not you.
Starting point is 01:00:09 My Tio Max from Chicago, coolest dude I ever remember growing up. Still to this day, super cool. To this day. Whenever I'll go to Chicago, he had a Corvette, fire corvette. Oh, that's like red corvette. Yeah, but he was cool. Legend. He wasn't like stuck up.
Starting point is 01:00:23 Like, he had nipple rings. Like, he was just like. What? I was a fantastic. Is that the one that's there? Yes, Theo Max. Yes. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:00:29 He was just so cool. like he knew how to talk to girls. I mean, he was married, but like, he would always tell the story. No, no, no, no. I don't, like, tell me about the Tio that, like, this crazy stuff. He's a superhero, okay, in my family. He would always tell me, he's like, hey, before I met your Tia, just no. Ew.
Starting point is 01:00:45 And then even, like, my Tia will confirm, she'd be like, yeah, he was wild. I had to, you know, strangle him in here. And I was just like, wow, like, always to the day. He's a man. Yes, like, dude, goals. It's crazy. Superhero. Goals.
Starting point is 01:00:58 Superhero. You're like your nipples pierce, too? Nipple piercings. And Corvette. Make it mad. Corvette, Corvette. I like it because we were talking about how that we had that evil Tia and we all knew that Tia.
Starting point is 01:01:08 Like we went straight to in our head. We knew which Tia we were talking about that ant that's just evil and you don't know why you didn't deserve it. But there's also that cool Tio, the superhero, the legend in your family. The first Latino superhero. D.C., you got it wrong. It isn't this little Sholo Fool. No.
Starting point is 01:01:26 They got bit by a scarecrow or whatever's going to happen. We should definitely watch it because it's probably really cool. I can't wait to watch it. But who was that first fool that you're like, that's the man? He's the man. You know, I realize? I'm the cool deal. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 01:01:39 Not it's me. Not I am him. I am him, him as I. Him is I. Why are you? Why do you think so? But besides that, besides that. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 01:01:49 Clark Kent never said I'm a Superman, okay? No, but I had an uncle, and he, his name is, his nickname was Toto. Yeah. Toto? Tito. Yeah, Tio Toto. That's fun to say. And he.
Starting point is 01:02:00 And he. Man, he was the funniest dude. Like, he would prank us all the time. Me and my brother. He was the one that taught us, like, hide in the dark or, like, in the rooms when it was completely pitched back. And you'd wait there for, like, 20 minutes just to get the joke off, like, the prank off. Like, he was that guy.
Starting point is 01:02:16 He was like, come on, hide right here. We're going to wait. Patient, patient, patient. And he always had money on them. And when me and my brother would, like, he'd give us a 20, and we'd be like, I'll hold it. I'll hold it. We'll, like, go back and forth and tug it. He'll rip it.
Starting point is 01:02:30 it in half and be like here you guys need each other to change this he talked you guys a life lesson right there wait you guys need each other to to get this changed that means you both have to go to the bank or wherever you tape it you guys have to come together to make money to split the 20 that's the badass wow yeah oh tito oh toto wow where's the movie after you're a superhero where's the movie after you the adventures of tio toto if you ask my cousins If you ask my cousins, my dad is the, is the, like, legend, Thio. No way. And I know, like, a lot of stories.
Starting point is 01:03:05 First, like, he's the favorite because he can cook and he cooks really, really good. Like, my Tias could never. But also, I remember we went camping one day. We were in El Rio, right? And then he likes to climb. He was, like, super, like, agile. So he's climbing up this, like, I don't know. It's, I don't know, whatever.
Starting point is 01:03:22 It's not a wall, but it's, like, a wall of nature. I don't know. We would jump from, we would jump into the river from that. Yeah. So it's like a cliff. Yeah. So he would, he would, like, hike up it or he would, like, climb up it, and he fell. He fell back.
Starting point is 01:03:36 He fell back into some rocks. And I'm thinking my dad is dead. There's a lot of times where I think my dad is there. Yeah. I was a little trauma. Oh, my God. So I'm like, oh, my God, he's not going to make it. He gets up, and he comes.
Starting point is 01:03:48 And then we're like, are you okay? Are you okay? And he's like, yeah. And then he goes in his back pocket is where he landed on the rocks. And he takes out a deck of cards. The deck of cards got pierced with the rocks. Like the rocks hit the deck of cards But it didn't get to his like bootie or his like his bone
Starting point is 01:04:05 And it saved him and he's like I'm okay I got my deck of cards I'm like bro that is a superhero He should have says something like life's a gamble Yeah Always play your cards right Yes That's awesome
Starting point is 01:04:19 After that after that we're like Dude you don't die you're so cool Wow You're the legend deal Is the fact that he has a deck of cards in his back pocket Because that's what they're playing Whatever the games are Never leave the house without it.
Starting point is 01:04:30 Yeah. What's the games that the Thio's play? Because I would always watch them play with the tech. Yeah. So he's like, he has it ready for that. Oh. Your dad is like the X-Men Gambit.
Starting point is 01:04:39 You know? Yeah, that has the cards. Yeah, those are the cards. That's the same thing. That's a good. First lot, I do know superhero right there. Gambit. Gambit.
Starting point is 01:04:46 Gambit. Yeah. All right. Hit us up. Let us know who that Thio is in your life. That's like just a legendary deal. Like, you know, he went through some stuff. He's cool.
Starting point is 01:04:57 He has money. He's the daredevil. We want to shout them out, okay? We're celebrating Latino superheroes. Shout out to our legendary Theo Fern. Yes. For real. I'm going to tell you.
Starting point is 01:05:06 That's a superhero. LA, I got to tell you. Our uncle. Our uncle. What are he saying? Just don't even, don't even repeat it. Shut up. Go on the corner.
Starting point is 01:05:17 That sounds crazy. Go to the corner. Okay. Fern has been at power for decades. Fern has been at power since it turned into Power 106, the hip-hop station, okay? This guy is behind some of the biggest prize giveaways that we have. He always comes through in Clutch. Like the Disney California Adventure Park,
Starting point is 01:05:38 I don't know if it would happen without someone like Fern, and I'm going to tell you that right now. I'll respect giving you are the legend. If you ever see someone named Fern from Power 106, just bow down when he comes to your town. When he comes to your town. Yeah, for sure. I said that already, Vic.
Starting point is 01:05:50 I already said that part. I'm doing it. Okay, okay. But you said it in reverse, so it's going to mess it up. All right, anyway. But shout up, he's a legendary Tio,
Starting point is 01:05:57 and he just told us, since we're talking about Blue Beetle, We got four packs of tickets to go to eat the movie Blue Beetle. That's how fast he works. Yes. He's like, oh, y'all talking about Blue. Oh, y'all. I got you.
Starting point is 01:06:07 Oh, I know Blue Beetle? You know what's cool about Fern? I don't want to hear from you right now. No, no, no. He was like, oh, I just need one ticket to see Group of Firme one day. Oh, you told him that? Yeah, and he was like, ticket date, and he gave me an extra ticket. Wow.
Starting point is 01:06:23 That's a superhero. That's a superhero. And he still didn't take a thing. Yeah. And you know what? He just filled two seats. Just kidding. Oh.
Starting point is 01:06:29 We love you. We love you a lot. Joseito. You belong. This isn't going to be an incredible movie. DC came out with the first Latino superhero and he's based around a Mexican family and our guy, Sholo, what's his last name?
Starting point is 01:06:42 Sholo Mariduea. Sholo, I love how indigenous his name is. Even Sholo, it goes back to like ancient Aztec culture. It's very, it's very spiritual and I like that he, it's that dude. He's not named Sholo in the movie. No. He's probably like. If people don't know who he is, you've seen him on Cobra Kai.
Starting point is 01:06:58 Yeah, from Kobe Kai. Shout out to our guys. Miguel. Okay, all that aside, we're talking about the legendary Thios in our lives because that was the first D.C. Latino superhero, but there's some that you've known in real life. Plenty of them. Like, my dad that fell off a clear.
Starting point is 01:07:13 That's really cool. It landed on his deck of cards that were in his back pocket and was like, Miha, I'm okay. I didn't die. I will never die. I am Jose. Jose Luis Martinez, Angel. I can totally picture off.
