What's up? This is Be Real from Cypress Hill.
Where are you from, Mesa?
Don't you know I'm local?
All right, you guys.
You know one thing about L.A. is we love our police chases, our police pursuits.
And the one that everyone was talking about yesterday was happening in downtown L.A.
when someone robbed like a deep blue Rolls-Royce and was leading a police chase.
But get this, you guys.
It seems like the driver actually got away.
So it seems like at one point of the pursuit, he went into a parking structure.
And when he went into a parking structure, he kind of disappeared.
Check this out.
He made another right turn on a street.
Now he's under that walkway there.
I think he went into a parking structure.
Well, it's a parking structure or isn't that a street that comes out on the other side?
So there we are.
He might be coming out here if he's going to be there.
Or he could have gotten out and gotten into that area.
And he got away.
They didn't see him come out at all.
Then you just see police, like, cars, like kind of, like, staking the place.
And they have yet to find the actual suspect.
Wow.
Crazy!
Because we always see them get caught.
I don't know how I ever see them get away.
No, I've done that before.
What?
Seeing them get away?
No, like, got away.
From a police pursuit?
Yeah, and Grand Theftaro.
Oh, shut up.
Yeah.
He did a classic move.
What's the classic move?
This is a gamer right here that we're dealing with, okay?
So like he went inside the parking garage, then you wait, you lay low, okay?
Or you either go on a spray and paint, which is you go inside a little thing.
That's in the game.
I know, but look, he got away.
Just like I always do it.
Maximum was saying that he was waiting for the monster trucks to fly out of the garage, just like in fast-in-garious.
That was another option.
That's make-believe, you guys.
I know this happened in L.A. vibes like Hollywood vibes.
It sounds make-believe.
Right.
Though Rolls-Roy's part of it is because it's like that, Rolls-Roy's incredibly expensive cars, but they're clunky, like they're big.
Yes.
I feel like they're slow too.
They're not meant to be, they're not a Ferrari.
They're luxury, but they're not, yes, they're meant to just like ride slow.
Even making turns looks difficult.
Yeah, looks like a boat.
Like whoever it was was riding a boat and he got away, which is crazy.
That is wild.
I'm not going to lie.
That's legendary.
I'm always, like, growing up, my street was always, there was always pursuits.
Oh, that nice.
Yeah, because it was off the 405.
So I would always be on my roof overseeing.
And so I could come on the news and that way, like.
You were one of those?
Yes.
And then the news talking about, yeah, and outside there are some bystanders that are taking the time to help the car.
The same thing happened to me where I grew up in Lennox, they're, you know how they have like the helicopters?
Yeah.
Well, they can't go over Lennox because it's a flight path.
So there's a lot of high speed pursuits that go on there.
Because they know, the drivers know that the helicopter can't chase them.
They can't chase them.
So now they're just dealing with cars.
That's awesome.
So I remember one time specifically we're watching on the news like I'm with my parents and they're like oh now they're making a right on prairie.
Oh now they're coming around 11th Street and we're like oh that's all right.
That's all right.
And so we go outside to our like our porch and then just they go and we're like ah.
I don't know why we're so excited.
I don't know why we just like cheering on crime.
It's entertainment.
If there's a crime to cheer on like that's the one that we definitely are like I think we feel the least guilty about cheering.
And why are we always on the criminal side?
I don't know.
Yeah.
I'm the getaway.
We hope he gets.
We don't know what this dude just did.
Yes.
I never see it and then see like, oh, I hope they catch him.
I hope the coppers get him.
Yeah, I hope those nails work or I hope that pit maneuver works.
Oh, it's like, ooh, is he going to get away.
Does he have enough gas?
Even though the pit maneuver is very exciting.
Yeah.
You like to watch it all.
And go, go, go, go.
Car chase is crazy.
Supposed he's an urban legend.
I don't know if this is real or not.
But the Bronco chase from OJ really, really,
was one of the main reasons we see so many police chases
because they saw how many people were tapped in and watching.
Granted, it's O.J., the Bronco chase,
but then they're like, you know what?
We should do this more.
We should show these, like, police pursuits more.
The whole time I thought it was Ron Burgundy.
Because the rating.
Another movie.
Has anybody ever called you?
I mean, it maybe doesn't happen as much,
but now it's like somebody will send you a link or something.
But back in the day, it's like,
yo, change it to Channel 9 right now.
There's a police pursuit.
They're in this place.
My mom does that.
Yeah
She'll be upstairs watching the news
And she'll text our group chat
Like channel 5 car pursuit
And it's like they don't do that
Hey they have the Salmonimo story
They want you to
No one does that for any other news part
Only me with the weather
Like hey the weather the weather
The weather, the weather, the weather
But it's either the weather or the police chases
So there we go
That's funny because I'm not gonna lie to this day
I'll even go on YouTube and just
See car chases
While I'm working
You're an extra dog
Why? It makes me sweat
It gives me that adrenaline
It's like I don't have
have to fully focus because I'm not going to usually take like 20 minutes to an hour.
Yeah.
So I can like edit and like let's go.
And apparently this chase is a GTA so someone did like steal that car.
Yeah.
Like I said.
Yeah.
I am the expert here.
Please listen to me.
He wedded.
He did this little GTA maneuver.
All right.
Well, I hope they find that gamer.
Yeah, I guess four stars right now, but he's laying low.
What else they do in GTA?
What else can he do?
Oh, you don't want to know.
A lot of bad things.
Yeah.
Sambra Sala with Angie.
All right, you guys, it's official.
YG and Suidi have made it official after YG posted a picture of them together.
So Yiji goes on his IEG story, and he posts a picture of him and sweetie, like, inside a car.
Yeah.
And you just see Sweetie, like, holding him, like, holding his head.
And then she's, like, looking back at her all lovey-d-w-d-w-d-w-y-dovey photo.
And I know that there's, like, the photos that they had, like, in the pool, on vacation.
But those are more paparazzi.
They social media confirmed.
They social media confirmed.
Or at least, YG, social media confirmed.
Because, again, like you were saying, like, it's always been rumored that they were going now.
We saw them in Mexico and the jacuzzi, all that stuff.
But they never denied it, nor confirmed, until now.
Yeah.
So, big up to them.
I like how they recreated the YG and Kalani photo.
Oh.
That's, okay, hold on.
Yeah.
Do they have the same photo?
I feel like they did.
That's an album artwork for that song.
Yeah.
And it's just.
Because I know sweetie and Kaylana, they're cool, right?
After this, I don't know.
They're both from, like, the Bay.
The West Coast?
Yeah, they're both from the Bay.
Yeah, they are.
Bay Girls.
Oh, no.
I know.
That's like some whole other girl drama.
Don't make it public with the same type of photo you made it public with your
ex-week?
Yeah.
I don't know, you guys.
Me and Hore made it public on his, and that's like, like, even if we all knew,
it's like, okay, now his little followers know, right?
Now YG's little followers know.
Like, hey, this is real.
This is real.
Yeah, I'm taken.
I'm taken.
I'm taken.
Jorge did, like, a black and white photo.
He didn't put any captioned.
Like, it was just a black and white photo when we went to charity.
Like, the, the, we went to go to Imperial Gardens in Watts.
Oh, okay.
And we're, he was on a swing.
It was so lame.
Oh, I remember that.
I was there.
Yeah, you were there.
Oh, you were there.
He was on a swing.
And I was, like, next to him kind of pushing him.
This is so lame.
It's so lame.
But my friend Laura took a photo.
Yeah.
And he made it in black and white.
And that's what he posted to kind of be like, like to like rep me.
Because we had been talking for a while.
And I was like, oh, it's real.
He Citied all the girls that he cissied around town.
Yeah.
But it feels good.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Oh, cute, right?
Sweetie and YG.
Nice.
And you too.
You let the YouTube.
But I'm talking about.
No, sweetie and YG, all cute.
Fresh new relationship.
I'm pretty sure that they're like in their little honeymoon stage for her.
Honey State.
Right?
Dude,
tell me why this fool,
YG has the audacity
to go to the Drake concert,
take the Wheatie,
and then he goes and he starts
flirting with the girls in the crowd.
Oh my God.
You guys, there's like this video.
Flirting, yes, I'm telling you.
There's like this video where YG's caught
and he's like looking back at the crowd.
He waves.
He's like making like a winky face.
He's kissing them.
And then he's like, hey, like just,
you can just see his,
like making, like gesturing with his hands.
Like, let me see some like things.
Like flashed.
Yeah, he's trying to get a girl to flash him.
And he's lucky, like, bummed that they don't.
He kept doing it.
He kept gesturing like, hey, take off your, hey, show me something.
And then they wouldn't.
But that's crazy.
Not on the same day that you publicly put out there to watch your girl on social.
So that was, is that their first official fight?
I think so.
I don't even know if Sweetie saw that.
I don't think so.
It's a viral video.
I'm pretty sure now she saw it.
And, sweetie, if you haven't seen it, you could be.
log on a brown bag morning's 106 to see what we're talking about or sweetie if you want to know more
you can DM me and I got all the cheese makeup.
Angie!
They're kidding!
Or sweetie told him it's okay, don't worry about it.
But actually, why she does this at his concerts.
I've been to like a YG show.
I've been to rolling loud.
YG does this like he says this.
I mean, obviously this is not his concert, but this is like how he interacts with the crowd.
What?
Ask them to flash.
No way.
But yeah, that's not his show.
He was literally.
Well, that's what I'm saying.
like this is how he interacts with the crowd oh my god so do you think that's going to be his
excuse oh he's throwing out his saying that's probably his excuse i'm just saying i've actually
been there and like he's just been like everybody flashed and i'm just like there's a difference
when you say it's your show and when he's saying like everyone and then someone's like someone
recognized you and you're like show me somebody let me see it slightly your girl is at that
same wasn't sweetie at the same concert he took her she went to the bathroom that's crazy
And that's why I don't believe in guys.
Vick, Maximum, why do you do that?
This is messed up.
Have you ever been out with your girl?
You're going to say no.
But your faces already tell me yes.
Yeah.
Have you ever been out with your girl?
She goes to the restroom and that's when you start looking at the booties around you?
No.
We do it together.
I usually like to wear shades.
Just, you know, so I can just scan the room.
You are a shader.
But just, it's just looking.
He is.
Yeah, he wears his little.
I do wear my glasses.
He wears his looks to have a look.
Yeah.
Hey.
No, yeah.
I mean, yeah, wait until she goes to bathroom.
You can take a better look.
But it's not like I'm going to do anything.
And who knows, why she's probably not going to do anything.
It's just looking.
If he was smart, he would tell her to ask and it would happen.
Yeah.
No, because I don't think she'd be like, yeah, let me ask them to flash you, babe.
Let me ask these white girls behind that are like, Lachie, like to flash you, brave.
Look, look.
Tell her.
Tell her.
No, I don't think they have that relationship.
No, I don't think they have that relationship.
I don't think.
I'm telling you.
She doesn't play.
Yeah, she looks like, especially her past relationship with Quavo.
Yeah.
You could tell, like, it was like, she was monogamous.
Like, that was like, you're my guy, I'm your girl.
Like, we together.
Ooh, they fought in the car.
Yeah.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure they did.
They totally fought in the car.
Because they fought probably later because that video surfaced later.
So she was probably so happy that he claimed her.
He claimed her, he posted her.
And why are you laughing?
Because this happened.
Do we?
Yeah.
He claimed her.
And then she's in bed and she's watching this video, like,
What?
I know that's wrong.
Do we know if she's seen this video before?
No, she couldn't have.
Then he posted her to make it.
Oh, to make it.
Just like a man.
Yeah.
Say that again.
I get it.
I'm trying to make it.
I saw the viral video first.
He posted the photo of them to yesterday.
The concert was the night before.
So they're saying what if the video went viral first, she saw it got mad at him.
And to make up for it, he posted with her.
No, I saw the timing.
It did not.
He posted the picture first.
Okay.
And then...
It went viral?
You know the first video that got viral, and you?
No, I'm just looking at the...
I'm seeing the times that it went viral.
Oh, okay.
You guys chill.
That's what I'm trying to make it make sense.
You didn't see there before.
I don't...
Would you get mad if you find out your dude checks out other girls?
Or your girl checks out other men.
Oh, wow.
What?
Oh, see.
How dare you?
Oh, how do you?
In a public place.
With your man.
Respect yourself.
Yes.
Yes.
Be your mother!
Yes.
You have a mother!
What would she think of this?
She wouldn't be happy.
God is watching you.
Oh, God.
Oh, my God.
Your dead relatives and saw you.
You've seen that.
All right, that's it for Somas.
I brought to you by a local Southern California Toyota dealers.
I'm Angie from Brownback Mornings.
I'm Power 106.
Thank you, Angie.
And I love what you just brought up while the triggers.
See, you guys are so on his side until the table's turn.
Got me riled up at 6 in the morning.
What would you do if you found?
Found out your booze checking out other girls or other guys.
Has that happened to you?
Have you been sweetie in this situation?
Like, wow, they claim me finally.
And then it's like, oh, man, they're out here.
They're out here commenting on other girls' pictures.
They're out here, like, asking other girls to show them something.
Acting single.
Yeah.
Acting single.
We want to hear about it.
The tequila was hot this morning, Angie.
I know.
Spilling the tea about shout out to our new official couple on Instagram, their Instagram official.
YG posted him and Sweetie all cuddly.
During the songs we did look up,
the Kailani photo that made the Kailani-YG relationship official.
Very similar, very similar poses.
I would be very upset.
Super.
But if that's not going to get sweetie upset, this might.
The viral video of that same night while they were at the same concert together,
YG is asking fans to flash him.
They're like, YG, they recognize it.
They just wanted to say what's up to YG.
It's crazy because they're just probably like, oh my God,
I love what I'm.
And he's like, show me some now.
Let me see some.
Yeah.
He made justice.
What is that, Angie?
I don't know, let's see.
It's a motorboat noise, I do.
I like asking and then you guys have to explain it to me.
That's a lake.
I would have said motorized boat because I didn't know we could say the.
Motorboat?
There's nothing wrong.
It's the same thing.
He would have said motorized boat.
He never been to the lake?
Crazy.
Castling Lake?
Yeah.
Like Tahoe?
All right, Lake Hurho.
Okay, check this out.
You guys, let's focus.
Sorry, sorry, sorry.
So he's asking fans, like, to show him something.
He was making gestures, like, take off your shirt or, like, move your shirt to the side type of deal.
And it didn't happen.
So he kind of felt even bummed.
Like, you can even see him like, oh, man, I'm not going to see him right now.
You see, we?
I'll just, I'll just wait.
I'll just wait to my girl kids here.
Would you be upset if you were sweetie in this situation?
If you found out, like, the day you guys went official, your man's out here trying to flirt, trying to see something.
Like, imagine the day that you got with Marcus Angie, he went to the strip club.
Like, and it's like, there's nothing wrong with asking.
Yeah, he's celebrating.
He went to celebrate?
Yeah, yeah.
I'm committed now.
No, no.
I mean, yes, I would be so mad.
Sweetie, I get it.
Imagine you take your girl, you spend so much money to take her to the Drake.
show, right? You're going to buy her drinks and she's talking to another dude or she's like trying to see what
when I went to go get drinks? Yes. I guess she ain't drinking. You better find a ride home or walk home baby.
You better take a shot for me. That's right.
Take a shot me. Oh, Irene, we got people on the line. Yeah, we have Constantine from Hollywood on line one.
All right. Constantine. Constantine.
Not Hollywood nor Hollywood. First of one. No.
It's a big difference. All right. We need to stop coming. It's. It's a lot. It's a lot. It's a big difference.
Coming up, my baby, I read.
Hold up, hold up, yeah, hold up.
Hey, what's wrong with Hollywood?
Hey, nothing to wrong with Hollywood, bro.
Wait, tell me about your name, though.
Because I was expecting to, hi, my name's Constantine.
Like, your name?
What's your name name?
I should be on the radio show.
One, my family name is Constantine, what you mean?
Oh, wow.
What is your mom's like, hey, Constantine?
No, they call me homes in my family.
They call you homes?
Okay, all right, home.
name is homes throughout my thios and my the other everyone's like homes homes homes okay homes
talk to us about this situation man i think that situation is bogus in the sense that you know
when you're in a relationship and it's for real for real i think that you know once it gets serious
in the beginning all right it's cool to you know mess around look around right but once it started
getting for real for real then i think it's more you know on one-on-one so him asking i only have ice for
you type of deal.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I mean, I only got eyes
for my girl,
you know what I mean?
Oh, sure.
So you've never liked a picture of mine.
Shout out Maria.
Oh,
shout out Maria.
She's right next to you.
So you don't even follow girls or anything.
You don't even like...
Okay, I'm my IG.
I'm not going to lie,
my IG, I got like...
Okay.
No, no, hold up, hold up, hold up.
My IG, I got like,
I got like, you know,
2K plus.
But my follower,
who I follow, I only got like maybe
1.96 and out of that
half of them is like all pages like
NASA skateboarding stuff and
How many baddies though? How many
baddies? He's so in his name.
No bodies, nobody. So shout out to you
for having 2,000 followers.
And if they baddies and if they batties
is because, you know, my friends
blossomed from the swan, you know,
from the goose and swan. Oh my God.
Okay, but what's
your explore page look like? Exactly.
When you search, like your search bar
Actually, I wish I could screenshot
and put it on the radio.
I know it doesn't make sense,
but if I could...
It's a good man.
You got a good man.
Yeah, you sound like a good man.
Shout up Maria.
Maria, just so you know, he has a burner page.
No guy just has Instagram to follow NASA.
Shut up.
That is a lie.
Maria, he has a burner and all it is is only fans girls.
NASA must be spelled different,
the one that he follows.
Yeah.
Oh, my gosh.
Who are going to do I,
Out of this world.
We have Dalia from Santa Ana online too.
Dalia.
Hi, guys.
What's up,
Dalia?
Dalia, talk to us
about this whole situation.
So, I have two different opinions on the whole situation.
Okay.
So I'd be kind of mad if I was her
because obviously, if she didn't know.
Right.
But I'm like kind of on Massimo side.
So if we're doing it together, having fun,
we're at a concert, you know,
He's like, you know, it's what I do on my concerts.
Go for it.
Maybe ask her to do it.
And I know, then I'm cool with it.
Yeah, yeah.
But if he's like, if he doesn't let me know, then post a picture of me, you know, makes me official.
And then I find out after, then I'm going to be pissed.
I'll be so mad, Dahlia.
And I get it.
Like, because the guys did say that, okay, why G at his concerts?
He has girls to turn up.
I have seen him bring girls on stage to twerk and all of that.
He's not at his concert.
He's literally behind the DJ.
Like, he's there, like, as a guest.
and some girls had like recognized him.
Oh, why?
You said it's messed up for Drake?
It's kind of messed up for Drake's concert too
because that's his concerts.
He deserves a flash.
It's not him.
If anyone's going to get flashed, Flash Drake.
Drake gets the bras.
It's the brapping, yeah.
So if you were sweetie, you would just like to have been told.
Like, hey, if this is a thing you do, just let me know.
As far as I know, I'm good.
All right, talk to me, Dalia.
You meet the guy that, that makes me.
you Instagram official and he's like yeah you know like I have like I really do I just like
liking strippers of photos like I just hope you're not mad I'm not going to strip club I just like
their photos just like looking no I don't like when they like the photos it's like why do you
I don't have that so why do you like that or oh Daya you got more than that okay you all that
and a bag of chips thank you back love you back wow who else we got baby girl we have
Veronica from Inglewood Online 3.
All right. Verro.
Veronica.
Good morning.
Verro, talk to me.
Okay, so sweetie and YG, they're Instagram official.
But on the same night, he, like, kind of posts a photo of them together.
There's also a viral video of YG asking girls to flash him at the Drake show.
What would you make in the situation or has it happened to you?
It's never happened to me because my husband was better.
Obviously.
I mean, I don't mind you looking.
I've always said that.
I don't mind you looking, but if I catch you, that means that the girl probably noticed, and you're about to get smacked.
Oh.
Violence.
Yeah.
I like, don't let me get.
You're like, I don't want to know.
You're that vibes?
Yep.
But if I catch you, I'm a girl.
I mean, but at the same time, we're just human.
We're just looking.
You know, it's nothing crazy.
Looking, looking.
We're just human.
Oh, now you humanized yourself.
There's nothing wrong with looking.
There's nothing wrong with looking.
Now, there's something wrong when it's disrespectful.
When you break your neck to look and then the girl notices.
Yeah.
And you're standing right.
next to them, you know?
And then it's like, dang.
Like, the girl's probably like, ill creep.
And then it's like, oh, that's my man.
I love him.
I love my little Jeepers creepers over here.
Pieroino six.
Buenos Aires.
Wow, the cloud coverage outside is crazy in Burbank.
I don't know where you're at, but it looks a little misty.
Hillary, stay away.
Get away.
Get away.
We want to have a good day, especially because tonight is our Power Windows Sixth Summer
and they just.
Shout to everybody that's going.
to be out there at Disney California Adventure Park.
We can't wait to see you.
Say what's up?
Take photos, vibe.
Get your number for work purposes.
Not because they got big booties.
But if they do happen at big booties, you know what?
It's fine.
It just happens.
If my girl approves, no.
So who we want to shout out, Victor?
I want to shout out my boy, Luis Amesquita.
That's my dog.
We grew up together.
Luis Mesquita?
A mesquita.
Luis Amisquita.
It's my dog.
Grew up in Lenox together.
Our moms are best friends.
So that makes us like a.
You know? Yeah.
Oh yeah.
Yeah, that's how it works.
If Angie has kids, they're my kids.
Yeah, cousins.
Exactly.
Yep.
That's my cousin.
Don't ask no questions.
They're cousins.
Okay.
Exactly.
And then you know what I was also thinking about?
Because our guy Jose, who does like our reels and any kind of video you see on social media, it comes from our guy Jose.
He has his sister out here from Oregon.
Yeah, from Oregon.
And she's bored.
Super bored.
Yeah.
So I just want to shout her out.
And I'm sorry that your brother works at such a cool place.
And he's boring.
you. And she doesn't even care. I brought her. I was like, you want to see the leakers?
Oh, you ought to be just incredible. I was like, you want to take a picture in front of the world? She's
like, I don't care. Oh, it's a Gen Z. Yeah. I'm telling you. That's how they are. How long has she
been out here? Is it going to be a week? Today is like her fifth day.
I was thinking about that when you have like visit or like you have family visiting, how do you
entertain them? Because it's hard work feels like pressure. It is a lot of pressure.
Yeah, you have to become a tourist.
Yeah, exactly.
I need to take you around the cool swath.
I need to cook for you.
I need to, like, make sure you're good.
These are the Hollywood stars.
Yeah.
Places you never want to go to because you know the traffic and all of that.
Like, all right, let's go.
This is the Santa Monica Pier.
Look at it.
Did you do all of that already?
Yeah, I feel like I've been overcompensating.
So I've been taking her too expensive restaurants.
Yeah.
She's still un depressed.
She's so on them pros.
Yeah.
Gen Z, man.
Yeah.
Wow.
They bring the cloud with them.
Shut.
Shut to my jenziers out there.
Now I know why they're swaggy outside.
All right.
Let's get into Word on Rosecrans.
Word on Rosecrans.
What's the work?
Rick Ross will not be attending Georgia State University this fall, but he will be studied.
Okay?
So look, Rick Ross, the biggest boss, will be the subject of a course titled The Legal
Life of Rick Ross at Georgia State University.
taught by Professor Mo Ivory, who said this about Rick Ross in the Instagram caption,
the boss of multiple businesses and a generational wealth builder who is an example of success
in music, business, entrepreneurship, philanthropy, discipline, and how to make big moves.
And Mo also said she can't wait for her students to meet Rick Ross in person.
So he's going to come through personally to the class.
And they're going to be able to meet them and stuff like that.
And this is Rick Ross is the fourth celebrity to be studied in this series titled,
The legal life of the previous three were ludicrous, Candy Burris, and Steve Harvey.
So it's essentially kind of like seeing their come up as like when he was a probation officer to then when he ran.
Yeah.
To then when he chicken wings.
Exactly.
The whole progression.
Oh, May back music.
Carsell's me.
Exactly.
Yeah.
No, I mean, Car Show.
Oh, Car Show.
Oh, yeah.
No, but I just thought that was far.
It's like, yeah, like he didn't attend college, you know, but it's like, but I'm going to be studied in college.
That's cool.
That's a flex.
That's a flex.
Oh, I get you.
You know what I'm saying?
I thought that was pretty sick.
Yeah.
Which Rick Ross are they studying?
Huh?
Rick Ross the rapper.
Yes.
The other one should definitely be studied.
They should be studied in legal classrooms as well.
Well, that's the snowfalls all the time.
Right.
Pretty much.
All right.
And the next story I got is a very special story that I found from Dimar Rosen talking about Kobe.
It's Kobe Day, 824.
Let's clap at number of those.
Yeah.
And it was just really funny.
I found this online and he told the story about him,
not wanting to wear Kobe's while he was facing Kobe because he didn't want it to have a
mental edge over him. So listen to this. So my whole career, I always wore Kobe's. And I remember
it was a time I played against Vince Carter earlier in my career. He was like, man, you, you wear those
when you play versus Kobe? I was like, I'm like, I ain't wearing them next time I'm going to play Kobe.
He ain't about having no mental edge on me. So I remember wearing some Jordan Tens. We walked out on
court he looked at me and said the f*** you got on your feet he shook his head at me which is probably
even worse yeah it's like he what are those 10 exactly and then and then at the end he hit the game
winning buzzer like he gave he hit a game winning buzzer right and then he looked at him and said
never wear those again Kobe did yes and he never he said he's literally never worn Jordan
ever again to play only Kobe's.
Dang.
That's what you get.
And the thing is Kobe is a student into the game and he's always watching people like
Yeah.
He'll find, he's going to study you to find where to get you.
I've seen even stories of him learning another language because he knew that
that player like spoke.
Yeah.
And was it Russian or German?
He's from Slovenia.
And so he literally learned the language just so he can insult him and like trip him out.
Like, wait, what?
Yeah.
But it was cool because.
you know,
DeMarrozen's from Compton,
so they go back to where
when he was in high school
and when DeMarreauzen attended USC,
Kobe went and sponsored
the whole USC team with Kobe's.
It said,
you guys can wear Kobe's.
You guys are now Kobe's school
and all this stuff.
So he's been wearing Kobe's literally
his whole career,
and then he noticed.
He's like, oh, why are you wearing Jordan?
Yeah, Colby knew.
He was like, oh, yeah,
now you messed up.
So I thought that was so far.
I was like, I got to share this one.
Yeah, that was Kobe.
That was Kobe.
Shut up.
That's right.
All right.
That was your word on Rosecrans,
brought to you by
your local Southern California Toyota dealers.
I'm Rose Cranzvick for Brown Bag mornings on Power 106.
What's up?
This is Be Real from Cypress Hill.
Where are you from, Esse?
Don't you know I'm local?
And speaking to Kobe and this beautiful Mamba day,
we were talking about how to celebrate it yesterday
and you can definitely still go out to the drone show
that's happening at Crypto.com Arena, LA Live,
after they do their invitational,
their Mamba invitational,
where they have a bunch of teams kind of playing each other,
the championship game is today.
After that game, they're going to do a cool drone show to honor Kobe on this beautiful Mamba day.
But you can also drive by or be on the beach by the Ferris wheel in Santa Monica.
They're going to light it up purple and gold.
Fire.
Put the 8 and 24s up there.
The only thing is I guess there's a private event.
There's a private event on the pier.
So you can't go on the pier.
Which is why, like, if you drive by it, you can see it.
Or if you're like in the sand, you can see it.
And I'm like, dang, I would have loved to ride the Ferris wheel.
When it's purple and gold.
Yeah, but they have like a private event, somebody rich.
Wow.
Yeah, I'm sure at night there's going to be other things lit up that like they didn't necessarily announce.
Yeah, like the city, the city hall buildings.
There's like other things, I'm sure, that'll purple and gold.
I would definitely make my way down to LA Live just because the vibe is always going to be.
Oh, for sure.
If you want to go and celebrate Kobe on Mama Day.
And also, not that it's, I know it doesn't matter.
I know, I know it doesn't matter.
but also it's the first day of the fall drinks at Starbucks.
Oh, my God.
Somehow.
But it's like it's a very important thing, okay?
I don't know.
Greatness comes today, okay?
The flavors of fall.
Have it rad.
Amazing pumpkin time at Starbucks.
Go to your local one.
Have a pumpkin spice.
Lottes.
Angie, I've been counting down.
I know, but it's just so funny how we went from Kobe to like, oh, now it's.
Talking about greatness.
Yeah, but if you want to celebrate.
I was literally, this is what I did, you guys.
I literally went on Twitter and I searched Kobe.
pumpkin spice to see if he ever like
pumpkin spice or like to try to
like tap it in and it doesn't but it's just
like you know. Okay let me ask you this is
the pumpkin spice latte the
Kobe of Starbucks drinks
No yes comes through in the
clutch yes no you know
It's served in the fourth quarter best
Look he's helping me out every stop
Oh okay because I would think if anything it's pepper
pepperment
At Christmas that's always the one
That's because nobody comes down to when the pepper
means comes out as you.
No.
It's not even a big...
No.
They call me a hater.
Only people with bad men like pepper me.
It's the ice shaking...
It's the ice shaking espresso.
No.
Yes.
No.
It turns you up.
That's new though.
Makes you clutch.
Kobe is classic.
Kobe's been around.
No baby boy.
Pumpkin spice is probably more new.
How new?
Like probably like a few years.
Yes.
It's because he likes pumpkin everything.
All right.
All right.
All right.
All right.
I just feel like it's it's cold.
Kobe because it's great.
We look forward to it.
We're happy it's here.
All of that good stuff.
I'm with you, bro.
I'm with you, bro.
It's not the peppermint.
I think it's peppermint.
No, it's not.
What makes the peppermint?
That one always runs out.
But Kobe never runs out.
He runs in.
I know, but everybody wants the peppermine.
Everybody's always anticipating that peppermint.
Nobody.
Oh, I've never seen that.
Peppermint is gross.
It reminds me of the little candies that my grandma used to give me a church.
Oh, wow.
That you thought her chocolate, but they're really...
Yes.
The sugar cookies.
Over the peppermine coffee.
Yes.
Okay.
But let's have this other conversation because it's Mamba Day in L.A.
Angie, but it's also Mamba Day in the O.C.
Do you know if the O.C. is celebrating in any way because, you know, he did have a house out there.
Vanessa.
I'll see.
I'll see.
We're going to be at Disneyland.
We're going to see.
Oh.
Good answer.
Good answer.
She's good.
She's good.
She don't know.
She don't know.
She don't know.
Oh, see.
Don't even go here.
You hear, it's part of one.
LA's number one for your pop.
Homie Helpline is next.
See what homie needs our help.
It's probably 106.
All right, check this out, homie.
You need a homie or need some help.
We need your help.
We'll need a line.
I mean, phone line.
We've got your fault.
The homie help line.
Luis needs our help.
Okay.
His brother, his jail bird brother,
all right?
His cousin a ruckus, whether he's in or out.
He has a, so Luis.
has a nephew that he's been
essentially caring for while his brother's
been locked up. His brother just got out of jail
and now his
nephew is acting up and he wants
to know if he should step away and let his
father handle it or if he should
just keep trying and trying
to be there for his nephew. Because when his brother
came out, he's noticing his nephew.
His nephew's acting up. Yeah.
Not the same kind of... Yeah.
And he doesn't know if it's the way that
his older brother is now kind of
influencing him or is this a reaction?
to him coming out.
Exactly.
So let's see what the advice is on these streets.
Are you going to?
We're going to new Stephanie from Santa Ana online one.
Good morning, Steph.
Stephanie.
Good morning, guys.
How are you?
Amazing, how are you this morning?
I'm good on my way to work.
Yeah, this story really made me sad.
I wish I was more happy to answer the phone.
Yeah, you know, I'm in a similar situation.
I've been taking care of a niece
since she was 13
parents
one's away and one is here
but I've always been that
constant stability with her
so I mean obviously
I feel like maybe boys are different than girls
but
sometimes she goes with one parent
and then she comes back
and it's different and then I
and it's different
like it takes me about maybe a week or two
to kind of get her back to what I've taught her and her moral.
So I would tell him, even though I understand that we're not the parents.
I think that's where it's hard because we've been there, we've been taking care of them,
or we've been their support system.
But I would tell him not to give up, even though he's acting up.
At the end, they end up seeing who's there and who wasn't.
Right.
And you know, like I'm sure even just you being there, it, I know you, and we all know, like, clearly, like you didn't give birth to her, right?
But you love her so much that you're like, you know what, whatever's going on, I'm focused on you.
Whatever your parents are going through, whatever they're doing, I'm focused on you.
And I'm sure, like, when you see kind of things kind of turn out a little bit differently with her, you give her that patience.
I love you enough that I'm going to stick it through.
I know the type of things you're dealing with.
Did you feel like how she would act when she came back is more because of their influence or because she's reacting to how they are?
I think it's both.
I think it's a little bit of maybe resentment, a little bit of influence, you know, whatever she sees on the parent's fine.
And then she has a lot of issues, you know, with her mother.
So I've been picking her up every single time.
And I'm not going to lie, it's not easy.
Yeah.
I know it's really hard to even keep your patience because at the same time, you're a human, you have boundaries.
You're not the one that's doing things or stepped out or things of that nature.
Exactly.
And it's hard because sometimes you feel like giving up.
You're like, why am I sacrificing all of this?
You know, but at the greater good.
I'm like, because I know she's a good kid, I know her potential, and I'm not going to let anything or anyone bring her down.
And I don't care who it is.
And I've told her multiple times, like, I will go to battle for you against anybody, I said.
And then she understands that because then she'll open up to me.
Then she'll be like, this happened.
And then I'll have to like hug her because she goes into like baby mode.
again because she feels like she needs love.
And security.
So I've been that constant, yeah, and then I've been that constant pillar for her.
And I tell her, you know, like, oh, you know, don't do this, you know, respect them.
Just keep going.
All I ask of you, because she lived with me as well.
So I tell her, all I expect from you is, you know, good grades.
You can always come to me and talk to me and I will try to give you the best advice that I can.
I said, but at the end of the day, it's going to be you, and you'll see it.
Little by little, she's seeing.
But it just breaks my heart because then I see how heartbroken she is.
Yeah.
You know, and then it's like, here we go again.
I have to pick her up, put her heart back together until the next time.
And it's hard because I feel like, because I've been taking care of her basically since she was born.
But technically from 13 and not, and she's 16 now.
At the day, I don't regret it because I know when she grows,
up, she's going to know that I was always there for her unconditionally.
And I'm not going to lie, like, I feel like you give great hugs.
Like the way they're like I hug her, I pick her.
I'm like, I would like one of those hugs.
I would like to sign up for the Put Your Heart Back Together hug.
We'll talk about it.
And then she had me rub her back like when she was a baby.
Oh, thank you.
I would like to sign up for the add-on of the other.
Some of us need that
We don't have that
Just have a bunch of dudes around me
I'm so nice
No, I'm gonna be
Oh my, I'm right here
Let me hug you
But you don't
I'm sorry
I'll do better
Okay, okay
I'll do better
I mean
It's the weather
It's the weather
I'm so sad
Irene
Who are we going to
Oh man
We're going to
I'm going to
Evette from
Peklob on line too
All right
Yvette
Yvette
Hi good morning
How are you
Amazing
How's going to
Yvette, talk to us about this situation.
So it's our guy, Luis.
His brother has been locked up.
And since he's been locked up, Luis has taken on kind of a father figure role with his nephew.
Now, dad is out, and the nephew seems to be acting a little up.
And so he doesn't know if it's his place as the uncle to still continue to be present like that,
or to let dad and mom handle it with his nephew, who he loves, right?
He's really torn.
What would you say?
Well, I'm looking at it from a teacher's point of view.
I'm a teacher, and I used to actually teach K through 12.
Now I teach adult education, but looking at it from a teacher's point of view and looking
at the child, I would sit down with the brother.
The two brothers need to sit down and talk and just let the brother know, I mean,
if they have a good relationship, hey, man, I love you, okay?
I love my nephew, too.
and I'm here for both of you guys.
He needs to let him know what the child did while he was incarcerated.
He needs to let him know he did a pretty, you know, the nephew was doing pretty good in school.
And then they need to look at how is the nephew doing now?
How can you make a difference in his life, you know, because he loves his dad, you know,
and he loves his uncle.
So if we can work as a team, try to see what we can do to make the nephew succeed in school.
Yeah.
Oh, wow.
That's the way I want to handle it.
Yeah, I think that's a great piece of advice.
Like, not even, because I feel like he might even feel alone in this because he doesn't
want to seem like, hey, ever since you got out, he's been bad, you know?
Yeah.
But it is like, hey, I love this kid and I just don't want things to happen to him.
And then there might be some sense of, like, what do you mean things to happen to him?
Like, what do you mean?
Like, kind of, he may think of it as insulting, right?
The big brother.
But it's all about the kid and it's about like, look, bro, I love you and I know we both love your son.
And to have it's important to show that, like, hey, we're on the same team.
Yeah.
It's not me versus you, you know, and competing.
It's a team.
It's a team.
It's a team that has the best interest of the child.
Oh, my gosh.
Even, thank you so much for chiming in.
I'm sure you have helped many.
I know, I'm sure you've helped many children and adults and get through these types of things
because you spoke with such empathy and I just, shout out to you.
Yeah, so mature.
Yeah.
And then, like I said, just, you know, not judging the brother, you know, that was incarcerated
and that's like you said, and don't make it a judgmental thing.
Just make it a, this is about the child.
Yeah.
Okay.
Thank you.
You guys have a great one.
You too.
You too.
I don't like a hug from her, too.
I wish she was my teacher.
Yeah.
Maybe I would have went to college.
She makes you want to go to a parent teacher conferences.
Just so mature.
Like, you know when that teacher just tells you something?
Yeah.
And you're like, okay, teacher.
Yeah, yes, teacher.
Typhil.
Irene, who we're going to?
We have Jessica from L.A. on Lane 3.
Jessica.
Jessica, good morning.
Hi.
Jessica.
How are you this morning?
Are you as emotional as I am or is it just me?
Because I really feel.
I'm on the lecture.
Are you as emotional about this as me or I don't know.
What's up?
I don't know.
That's just funny.
Okay, so I'm in a situation where my husband, I have three kids.
I have no kids by my husband, though, but I have three kids, three baby ladies, right?
So my kids, they've been in and out of jail, and I've been raising my kids alone.
And the other part is my kids only listen to my husband and not they did because they've never been, they haven't been in life.
And they've been going with me to visit.
Right.
To go visit.
And they cause you.
my husband day and not that so my my kid my kid was like my kid my kid well my kids he called him that
um oh um he they're he's like oh you know my dad because um i don't like you you being here you being over
there and stuff like that yeah so it's here but my kids my kids not slow they know who they
know who being there who right yeah they only listen to my grandmother yeah and they they know what
they feel it's like it's not you putting that in their head they just
They know how they feel.
They feel like their dad hasn't been there.
Yeah.
So I don't know.
I don't know if it's like the vibe when it comes to my husband and my kids dad, whatever.
Like my kids dad always tell me one of them.
Like, oh, I want to marry you this now.
But when he get caught up, whatever.
He's like, oh, you call me out of my name.
But my kids know better.
Yeah.
They're seeing it.
And that's beautiful too.
Well, it's not the best situation, but it is something about a child.
they're going to see what the adults are doing.
Like whatever you teach me, I'm also watching you too.
Like regardless of what you tell me, I'm watching how you act.
And I would hope that you can see it and be like, this is what not to do.
You know, this is how not to treat my mother.
This is how to treat my mother, stuff like that and move forward that way.
Wow, this was deep.
Yeah.
All right.
I do, I do really like if that's advice for our guy, Luis.
Luis, definitely have that conversation with your brother and try to figure out, like, look, how can we team up
to help my nephew, your son, who I dearly love.
Like, I don't want to mess things up with you guys.
I, I'm no, I wasn't a placeholder for you, but I was there when you were not here.
All right.
9106, Brown Bag morning to-day morning to Emmy.
Yeah.
That's Maximo's daughter.
She said, tell everyone I said hi.
Oh, everyone.
What's up, Emmy?
Hi, Amy.
Hi, Amy.
Hi, Amy.
What's the deal?
If there's kids in the car, say, hi, Amy.
Hi, me.
You better say hi everybody.
Hi, everybody.
Yeah, and hurry up and get to school.
Yeah, it's late.
It's already at 8 o'clock.
Okay?
She goes at 8.30.
Oh, yeah, 8.30, the new time change.
Man, that.
Yeah.
When they changed the bell schedule to 8.30, I literally thought that.
I'm like, damn, I used to wake up so early to get to school.
And now I could get at 8.30?
That feels like it's already reset.
Like, already snack, nutrition or whatever.
8.30 was late start for me on Tuesdays.
So, like, just imagine, like, regular start was like 7.
4.5 or something.
745?
My sister Monica had zero period.
Zero period is like six in the morning.
Notice I said she had zero period.
So I had to be at school at the same time she did,
but I didn't have zero period.
So I'm just chilling like, it's cold.
The ladies aren't even out for breakfast yet.
And don't let it be like more towards winter when it gets,
when it's darker earlier.
So it's like five something.
I'm just outside in the dark.
Six in the morning.
Yeah, it was vibe.
Shout out to everybody who had a sibling that you have to go around their schedule.
Anyway, I love my sister.
Simp or PIM.
SIMP or PIMS.
SIMP, Sip, Sip, Sip, Sip, Sip, Sip.
Who's the nominee?
Love is in the air at this news station because this news anchor proposed live on air during his girl's news segment.
Oh, at first I thought you were talking about you.
Let it go, Angie.
Okay, look.
That was so May 29th or something.
Oh, he's remit.
For those that have just locked in to Brownback Greeny.
That's crazy.
Like a couple weeks ago.
A couple months.
One day.
Mick was like super in love with this girl.
And then he was like, you know what?
I think I want to ask her out on the radio.
And he was like, KPWR, Los Angeles, Power 106.
LA's number one for hip hop.
Hey, Genesis, be my girlfriend.
And it was so beautiful.
Like, it was like, wow, this is awesome.
And then they're not together.
This, magic.
Things happen, you know?
You know what's crazy?
It's like, you can't do that again.
You can't.
And, like, the bar is set, dog.
Yes, I can if you guys just keep your mouth for me.
I can run the same play over and make her feel special.
No.
You're the first girl ever ask out live on air, baby girl.
That makes me mad.
What?
I already don't like that.
You got to buy coffee every day.
you want me to shut up, Vic?
That's expensive.
Just like you, we could also be rented.
It just sounds different when gross ate, Angie.
Because Vig is like, big as big as big as big.
I didn't think about it like that.
That's why he said coffee.
First you get your line.
First you get locked, eyes.
Now you offer to your rental.
Should we leave the room?
Can I please give more context, you go?
Oh, sorry.
We're in a little bubble and we're talking to each other.
I know, right.
Yeah.
Okay, so Vig wears different sports teams shirts based on, like, who's winning, who sent him a shirt, which game is going to.
Yeah, whoever loves me the most.
And he has a famous tweet and it's like, I can't be bought, but I can be rented.
That's right.
He is a jumper, you guys.
Yeah, I'm just referring to, like, sports teams, you know?
You know those jumpers that, like, they come and they're basic.
They have nothing on him, but then they stick on some sticker.
Whatever?
If it's Dora or if it's Spider-Man.
What do you want?
You want Spider-Man?
You want Spider-Man?
You want the princess?
No worries.
It's the same.
jumper that's big
party supplies jumping from you know
situation situation but let's jump from him
to somebody that did it and hopefully will
last longer exactly
I hope so okay so there's a
there's a news anchor that is
on a show with his
girl yeah dating right
and so that's not that and the company's okay with
conflict of interest yeah
but at the same time life is a conflict
of interest like French fraternity yeah
something like that
you know they're together
but the news
who's anchor had something to tell his girl during her own news segment.
Listen to this.
And coming up right now, we have the story of two young journalists who just so
happened to find love in the same industry.
Local 3 is Riley Nagel joins us in the studio with a special report.
That is right, Cornelia.
I do have a very special report.
Cornelia and I met in news almost four years ago.
When I first met you, I was very drawn to you.
And you have such an amazing personality.
And I thought it be fitting.
to ask you this question here since we met in news.
Cornelia Nicholson.
I'm gonna cry.
Would you marry me?
I gotta put it on?
Yo, the name Cornelia is crazy.
Okay, besides the name.
The situation?
It's very cute.
It's so beautiful.
Yeah, yes, because he had to plan
because she probably is like,
she's part of the team, so she knows what's coming next.
Like she knows like all of the stuff that's going in it.
So he had to make sure everybody hit it.
Yeah.
He's going to end up in a different news station.
Why?
Because they can't work together.
They can't work together.
Like there's company rules that they can work together.
Didn't Good Morning America do it?
As long as they're on the same level.
They were cheating on their spouses with each other.
It's all good.
Better than good.
And I think they decided to leave.
Okay, but I, okay, I will give him credit for I believe.
So in news, like they have like a teleprompter, right?
So I believe she didn't know what she was reading.
Yes, the question part, like this part.
Coming up right now, we have the story of two young journalists who just so
happened to find love in the same industry.
Local 3 is Riley Nagel joins us in the same.
Yeah, like when she tripped out over like the thing.
Yeah.
Reacting.
Her name.
Okay.
Exactly.
I thought it was like the friend reading it for her or something like.
No, it was her reading.
Oh, wow.
That's her genuine direction.
Yeah.
Yeah.
She's like, oh, wait.
What's going on?
that's what she kind of realized it.
So that was pretty clever on his end.
I have a question.
That's cute.
It's live on air.
Yeah.
If she really wanted to say no, would she say no?
Yeah.
No, she wouldn't.
Yeah.
Yeah, she would not.
Yeah.
She would say, find out after the break.
And coming up, two journalists break up.
Yeah.
Coming up at 11.
Breaking news.
Very easy.
Flip it right back on him.
I like that she said, yes, it's very beautiful.
I can't sit.
Like, it's beautiful.
Yeah.
Can we have a beautiful option?
Because it's not pimpy.
This fool's going to like tire down.
Like they're going to be together forever, hopefully.
It was very risky of him, though.
Like to Maximus point.
It's proposing, always risky.
She can always say no.
Yeah, but this is live on air.
Like what is he supposed to do?
If she said no, like you're supposed to do what?
Cry.
Go to the break room.
Like, yeah, cry.
You're supposed to continue on with your day?
He knows that she's going to say yes, you guys.
Ah, you just never know.
That's pretty simple, though.
You're going to say beautiful?
Beautiful.
Beautiful.
Beautiful.
Beautiful.
Beautiful.
Beautiful.
If you got to think what I did with Simp, how is this not Simp?
Because it's not you.
Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on.
Because you wouldn't have done it if you didn't know she was going to say yes, right?
You knew she would say, you knew she was like head over heels for you.
More than likely, but she paused for like six seconds.
Yeah, she didn't know how to work the mute on her phone.
You're scared you.
I did.
Yeah, I was terrified for a little bit.
I think she thought about saying, no?
I think yours was Simp because you were just like, hey, want to be my girlfriend?
Like, he, do you see, he like made it poetic, like, ever since I.
I saw you
I was drawn to you.
Oh,
I should have done.
That would have been so simple.
I chased you like a pursuit.
I was more pimper.
I'm like,
be my girl,
girl.
No,
that wasn't,
the way you did it was not pim.
All right.
Well,
so.
What are you talking to this one?
Sim.
Super Sim.
Okay, go, go, go.
Okay,
you guys do it because I think it's cute,
cute, cute, cute, cute.
Sim.
Sim!
Sim!
Sim!
Sim!
Sim!
Sim!
Sim!
That is number one for hip.
Oneosias.
What's up?
This is Be Real from Cypress Hill.
Where are you from, Mesa?
Don't you know I'm local?
There's a controversy stirred up in Woodland Hills, and it's all over the parking, okay?
So parking signs in our L.A. where I think we're infamous for them.
No parking after Tuesday.
No parking from like 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesdays except permit on every other Friday.
Loading zone and the parking and all this.
Yeah, street sleepers.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
And you can park here for 30 seconds if you have, like, it's all crazy, right?
Permit on me.
Hold our sign.
We got one for you.
They have set up along Ventura Boulevard, right?
It's a big stretch of the Woodland Hills area.
And usually on this street, people could park curbside.
So they're parking like, I guess, car in front of another one.
However, they're trying to have more parking space.
So what they're ending of doing is allowing people to park in diagonally, but they have
to back in only.
These are back in only parking spaces.
And people are upset.
Business owners feel like once a part of.
person is driving up to them and they see the sign.
They're like, oh my God, there's too much, there's a lot of traffic.
I don't know that everybody else is going to let me back into this space.
Do I even know how to back in?
Thankfully, I have like a camera on my car.
Yeah.
But, and Andrew, you two and your Toyota Rafforn.
But if you don't know how to back in, it's going to be a lot for you.
And you're going to get scared off by like the incoming traffic because they're not going to
want to like stop for you to turn your car around and back into a parking space.
Their diagonal spaces, think like in front of Target or in front of like a Walmart or something.
But instead of being able to just go nos in with your car, you have to go back in.
And you know no one's going to give you that type of space.
Yeah, no, it's tricky.
And then there's like no divider or island or anything, right?
It's just a stretch a road.
Yeah, you just got to trust your fellow drivers to like, and also it's just like brings up more liability to me because it's like, okay, somebody's not paying attention.
Oh, this is new.
They don't see where that car come from.
Boom.
And this is one of the, I think, believe it's a council members plan to, like, reimagine Ventura Boulevard to, like, make it better.
Make more parking spaces available.
It's like, hey, you guys want more parking space?
Back in.
Yeah.
He should do a tutorial if he's so.
Yeah.
If he's so reimagination.
You guys can do it.
Put your back into it.
Oh, my.
That's good.
That was a throwback.
Shout out K-Day.
Are you a good back-in, Parker?
I love backing in.
Do you know how to back it up, Maximo?
Yeah.
This is a real question.
This is a real question.
Because Loki, I love backing in when I can,
because then you could just zoom out.
Yeah, no, I think it could work.
The only thing is traffic hour,
which is like 3 p.m. to maybe about 7.
Those four hours, I can't imagine
trying to back into a parking lot
or people even wanting to let you back in that parking lot.
It sounds like a mess.
But I could.
I'm good at parking.
You're good.
Parallel.
Yeah, you look like a valet driver.
You look like valet.
You look like I would give you my keys.
Give me your keys.
Big, what about your ears?
Yeah, I mean, luckily I have a backup camera, so that definitely helps.
And yeah, you can, it's better to like escape.
You got to go out fast.
Yeah.
You can zoom away.
So you get it back in here.
I usually go in head first, but I, you know.
Okay, see, because I was thinking, like, I wonder who the first rapper is going to be
that, like, does a video and they're.
backing it up into the back-end space.
Like, not the rapper, like, probably has it.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Unless they want to.
Totally can.
All right, William Hills, we see you.
I just feel like that sign is so crazy that if I'm driving, I'm about to park.
It says back in only.
I'm like, oh, wait, hold on.
Let me see if the cars will stop for me.
You have a bigger car.
Yeah, I do.
So you're going to have to cross two lanes to back.
Oh, they're going to hate me.
They're going to hate you.
I already hate Mercedes drivers.
Oh.
Just kidding.
Hate us because they ain't us.
They always leave.
Spire 106.
L.A.N.
Pomerick, morning.
Pumpkin spice lattes and all that good stuff
are available now at Starbucks.
No, they're not paying me to say that.
I'm just really excited about it.
I've turned into one of those girls.
Yeah, you are.
Give me a couple weeks.
I will be wearing leggings and hugs.
That's right.
With the PSL in hand.
What's that?
Pumpkin spice latte.
Wow.
Oh, my gosh.
I don't feel like I'm in the Truman Show.
Why?
Because it's just these ads
That's hilarious
It's really not an ad
But it could be
Because Starbucks, we out here
They don't need ads
They're like the like Mercedes
They don't need freaking commercials
I know. Have you ever seen a Starbucks commercial?
Yeah, no
The girls walking around are Starbucks commercials
We are Starbucks commercials
Okay anyway, yeah, it's there
You want to go, or Pumpkin Spice.
All right.
George Lopez tickets, we got them for you right now
Collier 10 hit us up to go see George Lopez on his All right.
All right.
Irene, give me an all right.
I mean my little dark cloud.
Please give me an all right.
I don't know.
Like say it which I was chest, baby, girl.
Come on.
All right.
There we go.
Hey, Jose.
Jose.
What up?
Let me see.
You're all right.
See an all right.
You're an all right.
Okay.
Well.
Give it to me.
All right.
Oh, no.
That sounded really.
No.
Very Oregon.
All right, look, get us up right now if you want to see George Lopez and you're guaranteed to laugh.
It's going down this Saturday at the Greek Theater 818-2059.
That's 818-5-2059.
Hit us up to Colorado 10 so you could go.
And matter of fact, I want to shout out everybody that hit us up yesterday on Kobe Bryant's birthday, 823,
With your moments with Kobe, your experiences,
it was so awesome to see just how many people Kobe ran into,
almost ran over.
It's really funny because everyone has a story.
And even if it's a story where he pressed you, it's like, yeah, it's Kobe.
Yeah.
And even like that might feel like, hey, Kobe pressed me.
Like, it was cool.
It was an honor, sorry.
It was an honor.
The Black Mamba.
I felt your rap.
All right.
So we're keeping it going because we put up our video on Instagram,
Brown Bank Mornings 106, and more stories kept coming in.
Since it's Mamba Day, feel free to call this up if you've ever had a running with Kobe out here in these L.A. streets.
Shout out to Zamora underscore George I, he said, I was going to call on the station, but I was driving.
My Kobe moment was at Disneyland a while back.
I was having a smoke at a bench by a store, and I looked to my left, and I saw mob of Disney workers coming my way, and I was like, what's going on?
What's going on over there?
And when they got closer, I saw Kobe holding his daughters.
He only had two girls back then, and then I saw Vanessa.
I was like, what's up, Kobe?
He just looked at me and walked in the store.
Hey, love it, I love it.
Hey, let me.
I love it.
Look at you.
And he said, it's funny because everyone that was wearing a Lakers jersey, I would tell, hey, Kobe's in the store.
Go in there.
He won't say anything to you, but he's in there.
Just to be in the presence, be at Disney the same day that Kobe was there, I'm sure it is a moment.
That's so far.
So shout out to Jorge Zamora.
That was so funny.
He looked at me.
He looked at me and went into the star.
It is so much a Kobe moment.
All right, 106.
LA's number one favorite of five.
Buenos Aires, Buenos Aires.
All right, we're talking about the Black Mamba on this beautiful Mamba day.
I know it's a little bit gloomy outside, but the song will come up and it'll be vibes.
So yesterday we're talking about our run-ins with Kobe, right?
If we ever ran into him and these L.A. streets, what happened?
Shout out to that full Georgia was like, yeah, yeah, he looked at me and then he went in the store.
But that's a moment.
And I know exactly what he's talking about.
Like anyone has that moment, you're telling it for the rest of your life.
For sure.
This moment made my stomach hurt.
I feel so bad for this guy.
I have to share it.
Okay.
He also commented on our video, Brownback Mornings 106.
His name is Reality underscore check.
Reality check.
I like it.
His name's right.
That's cool.
Yeah.
He said, this is the huge regret of mine.
In 2006, I used to work at a place where the company had two season tickets to Lakers games.
Well, me and my buddy worked a night shift there.
So we're just getting in around 4 p.m.
And the guy from HR comes to us and says,
I got two tickets to the Lakers game if you guys want to go.
We thought about it, but we passed on it because it meant we would have to come back from the game
and still finish the full shift and it would just be late as hell.
Plus, they're just playing the Raptors.
It's going to be like a whatever game.
Oh, no.
Yes.
Yes.
So he ends up asking one of the girls in the office.
She says, yeah, because her boyfriend would love it.
And fast forward to the game, we're checking the score.
It ends up being the freaking game where he scores 81 points.
Oh my gosh.
Eighty-one point game.
Me and my words are just shaking our heads at each other all night just in disgust.
I'm disgusted on myself because we missed it.
The girl from the office comes in and was telling us how live it was there, people chanting all night.
We straight up missed history.
Eighty-one.
Ouch.
Big I like how you knew it as soon as I said.
The Raptors.
Yes, the Raptors.
He put 81 of them things on Jalen Rose.
And you could have been there.
Yes.
For free.
Oh, that's the worst feeling.
Yes.
You messed out on free tickets.
And you know what?
They're probably like, stupid girl.
I don't even get it.
I know.
There's some guy like that boyfriend like, dude, one time, you'll never believe it.
The girl I got free tickets.
What happened to you in that girl?
I don't know, but I was there for 81, God.
I'm telling you, that I made my stomach here in disguise.
Idiot.
All right, we want to know your Kobe moment, your Kobe story,
or did you miss out like those who's supposed to do?
Because, hey, I'm sorry they missed out.
Like, there's no way I could give that, like,
I don't know, bright side.
There's no bright side.
I bet they'll never miss another, like, free ticket at all.
Even if it means you have to work extra.
Yeah, I'm going to go to everything.
That was one of the greatest Kobe moments ever.
Ever.
And it was so unexpected.
It's not like LeBron's game.
You couldn't call it.
Like, yeah.
Yeah, LeBron, like when he broke the scoring record,
Cream scoring record, it's like, okay, everybody knew.
There was anticipation for it.
It was lead up.
Yeah, yeah.
This was like, dude.
Just a whatever Raptors game.
Wow.
The Raptors, they're so good.
Yeah, anyway.
Dang.
106, L.A's number one for hip-hop,
Buenos Aires.
Good morning.
It's Thursday.
It's Friday.
I'm already thinking it's Friday.
That's crazy.
It feels like Friday.
It feels like the whole month has passed by in this week.
In one week, you guys.
All of it.
All of it.
In one week.
Geez, except Christmas.
Natural disasters, everything.
No peppermints.
Okay, no peppermints.
It's definitely fall vibes because pumpkin spices out.
That's right.
Okay, but we're talking about our Black Mamba on this Mamba Day, okay, celebrating our guy, Kobe Bryant, 824, August 24th vibes.
All right.
And we're Los Angeles.
So we've seen them around town.
So we've been getting these stories in.
We did this yesterday.
And people love this so much.
We've got to do it again.
Irene, who we're going to?
We're going to Jessica from North Hollywood.
Hollywood on 9 6.
Noho in the house.
Jessica from NoHo.
Good morning, Jessica.
Good morning, guys.
Good morning.
Talk to us.
You have a Kobe Bryant moment?
I do.
I think I have a really cool one.
So I used to work for an after school program for the LUSD district.
And one day one of our supervisors came into our office and said, you know, we have an opportunity to take some students to the Momba Academy.
And so this is, yeah, we.
was really cool and it was for this program they were doing called Girls Play.
So we were able to take basketball players that were female athletes in middle school.
So they told us we could take, I think it was about 30 girls.
And they told us to select the school and all of that.
And, you know, here I am in my cubicle with all my Kobe stuff around.
And they said, you know, would you like to ride on the bus?
And I was like, yes, I'm going to ride on the bus and go to the Mamba Academy.
So we went, we showed up.
and they said, you know, there's no confirmation that Kobe will be there.
You know, it's just a really cool experience.
So we went.
It was awesome to walk in there.
There was a lot of female college athletes.
It was really cool.
And I'm just scouting around.
I'm like, he has to be in this building.
So I'm looking, I'm looking, and I spot him on the second floor looking down at all the students.
And when we showed up, there was over 100 girls from all over.
So he's looking down at the students.
And it was really, really cool.
and I spot him and I'm like, he's going to come down.
So I'm looking for stairways and elevators,
and I'm like, I have to be there when he comes down here.
Yeah, so he does come down, and he's obviously security guards and all that.
And he comes and he has this big speech.
And all the parents, of course, all the parents, we're all like super starstruck.
Right.
We're video taking pictures.
And then, you know, they start the program.
And he's like, all right, well, the girls are going to play.
So the girls start playing and he's coming around.
And he's giving the girls' tips.
been coaching them.
He goes to every single court.
He's talking to all of our girls.
I thought it was a really cool experience
because there's some little girls out there
who are like, you know what?
I was coached by Kobe Bryant.
And finally, when he was done
and he walked around the corner,
I was like, this is my only opportunity
to go and talk to him.
So I went, and like a lot of co-workers
are behind me because that was not afraid
to go up to him.
I just knew it was my only shot.
And so I went over there and I was like,
Hi, Kobe.
I just want to introduce myself.
And I did.
I shook my hand and I was like, I am so grateful to be here and I'm so happy that you got to do this for our girls.
And I let him know where the girls were from and the opportunities that they don't get and how this was an awesome experience for them.
It's just like, you know, it should have been the other way around.
Right.
But you're so appreciate it.
He's like, no, no, no, thank you.
And he kept like holding onto his chest.
Like, it was just a moment I will never forget.
And we did get to take pictures of him.
And me being the fan girl that I am, I had to step out of my professional.
roll and I took off my shoes and I handed it to him and I said Kobe could you please find my
Kobe and he did.
Oh, that's so awesome.
I love that.
I'm so jealous.
Super jealous.
Like I would pretend I was a middle school girl just to go to this trip because you're like,
you had to gather 30 kids, right?
I'd be like, hey, if they're 12, I'm 12.
All right?
We're going.
We're going to just get coached by Kobe.
And I'm sure that whatever their future holds, like you said, they were coached by Kobe and
might inspire them and motivate them.
And I know that that might have been even what was the reason for this period,
especially like whatever cities or schools they come from,
that's going to be a motivating factor in their life.
It was.
It was beautiful.
And I'm really glad that I got to share that.
And it actually happened like last and a year before, you know, he passed.
So it was all, like, very recent.
I felt like you had just met him.
And there was so much emotions in that.
And also, like, I felt like there would have been more opportunities for us to keep
working with the Mamba Academy.
He definitely had a decision for females in sports.
And, you know, it's just such a great loss.
Wow.
I'm going to stay your story, Jessica.
I'm going to start telling you, like, from my phone with you.
Oh, my gosh.
I mean, yeah, one time I worked at, like, the county, and then it's just like L-U-S-D.
Hey.
That's how jealous I am on your story.
Maximo wants to know where them Kobe's at, though.
Yeah, what's that you're?
Yeah, I don't bring them out, but I still, like, I'll take pictures of them.
I'll post them on my gram every, you know, when it's like Kobe Day.
when whatever, you know, sometimes I just had to bring them out.
And all the girls also walked away with one of his books,
and they were also autographed.
So it was really cool.
Mama mentality.
That's so cool.
I'm jealous.
Yeah, you're the cool friend.
She is the cool friend.
All right.
We got somebody else, Irene.
Who are we talking to?
Yeah, we have Rebecca from OC on line five.
Ooh, OC representing Rebecca.
All right, check this out, Rebecca.
Because I know it's not just Mama Day in LA.
It's also Mama Day in the OC, and that's home to him, too.
Talk to us about your Kobe Mom.
moment. Rebecca? Hello. Rebecca.
Maybe try line five. I think that was Rebecca. Rebecca?
Hello. Hi. How there, yes. Yes.
Good morning, guys. I do have a lost story. I feel it's amazing because it involves
it's Gigi and Kobe. Okay, Rebecca, real quick, Mamasita. Can you take me off speaker? Can you put me to your ear so I can hear you?
Can you hear me? The better to hear you with, my dear.
Okay. Can you hear me now? Yeah, I can. Can you hear me now? Yeah, I can.
Yeah.
Wow.
We are our commercials.
Okay, so this story is with Gigi and Colby.
So I actually saw him at South Post Plaza in Costa Mesa.
And I was actually visiting somebody at the Disney store because I worked at the Disney store for a couple years.
But I went to go visit a friend at the Fasas Plaza Disney store.
And I saw Colby coming out with Gigi hand in hand.
So she was about like six years old.
I went up to Kobe and I told him, oh my goodness, like, I'm such a fan.
Can I take a picture?
And obviously it was respectfully, but he said, I'm sorry.
I'm with my daughter.
Like, no pictures at this time.
So I said, completely understandable.
But I kneeled down.
And I said hi to Gigi.
And I told her, oh, my goodness, I can't believe I'm able to see a princess.
I was literally admiring of her having her bag.
It was a brave bag at the time because she just came out.
And he actually said, like, how are you so good with, like, little girls?
And I said, well, I actually work for the Disney store.
So he said, no way.
So the little girl was like, wait, so do you know all the princesses?
And I said that.
And I do. And I was able to hug her.
He actually said, thank you to me.
And I was able to fist pump him.
And the little, well, Gigi waved by, super excited.
skip during that whole interaction and I just stood there in complete shock and I was able to
snap a picture of him walking away with Gigi so I have that memory yeah it's a little invasive
but it was it was it was empty completely empty it was packed all the time it was empty
it was I was walking by myself there was like one person that made me spotted him
it was awesome always for him to go in the morning like on a random Tuesday so it was perfect for him to
always go in and out so when I saw him he saw it as like a good opportunity because there was no one
around us it was just basically just me him and Gigi you know what's super cool about that momacita
is that you I'm sure of course that's his his daughter time but you gave her that moment too
you probably made her day you know like your work at Disney you know the princesses you know the princesses
You called her a princess.
I'm sure like that moment was really special to him too,
especially because everybody's just flocking him because he's Kobe.
You know,
you took that time to show love and give her a moment too.
I'm so happy I did do that because you're absolutely right.
That moment where I was literally just paying attention to her.
I kneel down.
You have to go into eye level, you know.
They get into a zone where they're still kids.
So he's tall.
So he's looking at me from super high.
I'm all the way up below to her level.
And I just, he thinks me, he fist put me, he walked away, and did he even turn back, said bye,
skip all the way, all the, out the door.
Like, it was that way.
I'm so jealous.
That's so awesome.
And I like how she's still like, hold on, let me get the one walking away.
Yeah, for real.
At South Coast Plaza.
I worked at South Coast and I never had a Kobe moment.
I'm so jealous right now.
You could steal a story.
Don't worry.
What do you mean?
What I mean?
What I was working?
Oh, well on your break, start walking around.
Don't steal the story.
Just steal it.
Don't steal the story.
I keep thinking like if Kobe were to Facebook me, I'd be like that ah.
Happy Mama Day, okay?
You guys, power 106.
LA's no more for hip-hip.
